Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque town of Two Harbors along Highway 61, Vanilla Bean is a charming restaurant housed in a pastoral-style home exuding a cozy mountain-cabin ambiance. The all-day brunch menu offers classic American dishes with global influences, such as flavored sweet rolls, mini doughnuts, and Norwegian crepes.
Excellent breakfast joint with great coffee, food, and service! Loved their blueberry muffin and s'mores mocha lattes. Sweet roll, Norwegian crepes, Grandma Bergman's Swedish Pancakes, and especially Scandinavian breakfast were all outstanding as well! Had to try a slice of toasted cranberry wild rice bread as well - unique and delicious!

My girl friend and I stopped for her birthday brunch! We loved the Northwoods breakfast? Love the vanilla bean butter and homemade jam! Good service and a less than 10 min of a wait for a a Saturday morning in the summer. Would come back again.
Clarissa M — Google review
Interesting menu with a lot of specialties. I really wanted to try wild rice porridge with Minnesota maple syrup. But had the portage omelette with wild rice and also tried the harvest hash with maple sweet potatoes. Choice of toast was cranberry wild rice. Really enjoyed the food and coffee here and would definitely stop back to try other options. Especially the features

Always a favorite! Please try a caramel roll, you will not be disappointed. Craft coffee's, amazing food, decent parking in the heart of Two Harbors. Closes at 3pm, great brunch. On this visit the hubby and I had the burrito and huevos rancheros. Everything on the menu is solid, you can't go wrong. Great family stop, enjoy!
Shauna H — Google review
All around wonderful experience! Our server, Rose, was very welcoming as soon as we walked in and was like that with everyone she came across. Loved the menu and all the coffee options! Food was delicious Definitely will be back to this breakfast spot! Great, chill vibes ☮️🎶

Great location with some MN favorites on the menu. We loved the food and thought the staff was lovely. Will go again!

Grande Turtle Mocha..... 5-stars. Best Soup & sandwich in Minnesota! Enjoyed my to-go purchase on the shoreline!! Toasted cranberry wild rice bread is awesome. Wild rice soup doesn't get any better.
Paul M — Google review
Great drip coffee. Visited Two Harbors for the week, and Vanilla Bean has the best coffee in town. Accommodated my onion allergy. Traditional eggs benedict was solid. Wasn't expecting paprika, but the smokyness was a nice change of pace. My girlfriend got the buscuits and sausage gravy. Smart choice to toast the inside of the biscuit with butter because it keeps the biscuit moist and prevents soggyness from the gravy. Definitely going to try that at home!

Breakfast restaurant
Judy's Cafe is a charming American eatery located at 623 7th Ave, Two Harbors, MN. The cafe offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere where visitors can enjoy all-day breakfast, freshly baked goods, and locally-sourced cuisine. With its simple yet inviting decor, Judy's Cafe provides a classic diner experience with friendly service. The menu features an array of fresh sandwiches, salads, and delectable pies and desserts.
Judy's is excellent. It is a bustling little place right on the main road. The food was very good, the sourdough other folks have mentioned lived up to the hype. The people were nice, the pie was great. Those ladies were putting in some work keeping that place turning over on a busy 4th of July weekend. Would happily recommend to anyone who is looking for good food and a home town diner feel. There is on street parking that makes parking much easier if you're towing a camper or boat from your trip to the North shore.
Travis ( — Google review
Typical diner with not much atmosphere. Food was tasty. The hash browns are fabulous! Our server was short and lacked courtesy. Maybe it was an off day, but definitely not a welcoming attitude and zero friendly chit chat. I had a two egg breakfast with bacon and hasbrowns. My son had a short stack of pancakes .
Victoria W — Google review
Typical small town Cafe. Great service and food! Prices are half what you would pay in the cities.
Linda B — Google review
Had the hot sandwich, which was great for the gravy lover I am. The gravy did cover some not-so-great pieces of meat, but the non-gristly pieces were good. Rhubarb pie added a lovely touch.
Peggy K — Google review
Stopped in for breakfast had the hashbrowns scramble with two eggs over easy. One was over easy the other one wasn’t but the food was good.
T B — Google review
The food is amazing. My scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. Hubby's hash browns were perfect. Our waitress didn't seem to be attentive to her customers. It took me 3 times to get my cup of coffee and it was a different server that brought it. No checking on her customers for refills or anything else needed. No smiling. I hope she has a better day tomorrow!
Sue S — Google review
Top notch small town Cafe! Food and service were both wonderful. We stopped on a whim when passing thru town while on vacation and we're very impressed! Pancakes were huge! 10/10 would recommend to anyone that is hungry and in the area!
Tina G — Google review
In the last two years, I've stayed in Two Harbors 13 days. In that time I've had breakfast at Judy's 13 times. There are probably other places to get breakfast in Two Harbors, but once you've gone to Judy's there's no need to look elsewhere. Pancakes are fantastic. As are the hash browns, eggs, homemade sourdough, and cherry pie (puts Betty's to shame). Yeah I had cherry pie for breakfast. Multiple days. What's it to ya? The parking is ample. The prices are very good. I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup. The staff is pleasant and some of the best I've seen. Every waitress is our favorite because they're all great. (Ok, Amanda is our actual favorite, but it's a close call and everyone else is tied for 2nd.) Seriously, if you're in the area just go to Judy's. If you're not in the area, why not? It's beautiful and there's also this great place called "Judy's" that you should try.

EXCELLENT pizza! We tried the Chicken Wild Rice Pizza and a Meatza Pizza, and both were a hit! Even the salad was the right blend of flavor. Great vibes! Love their heart and soul here!
Tony M — Google review
We ordered a sausage pizza, and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in my life. We didn’t have any leftovers to take with us! We were the only ones dining in, so the atmosphere was pretty chill. There was no dedicated wait staff, but the guys who were making pizzas were very welcoming and accommodating! I would definitely eat here again.
Katelyn B — Google review
Bbq chicken, jalapeño popper and supremo pizzas were all AMAZING!! As delicious as the pizza was it’s hard to believe but the service was better!! Highly recommend!!
Kelly S — Google review
Great staff, fantastic pizza. Please stop here. We had a wonderful time here and will definitely stop again. Pizza was incredible, the bacon cheeseburger pizza with added pickles really hit the spot. I believe the woman who took our order was one of the owners. We hit it off with some playful sass and it was just the kind of vibe our group liked. Next time we stop through I'll bring you guys a dozen rolls from Tobies. Thank you for the perfect end to our day trip.
Alex V — Google review
Dang! Never expected to find my new favorite pizza 160 miles away! The sausage was phenomenal and I loved the crust. Also, the Wild Rice Chicken pizza was bomb!

Great pizza, very friendly staff and play Christian music while you eat so great atmosphere too

I would give this place a 12/10 if I could!! The staff is beyond kind, accommodating, and helpful! Worship music playing in the background, family run, and delicious pizza! We got the pickle roll up pizza and it’s some of the best pizza we have ever had! If you’re on the north shore anywhere near Two Harbors- THIS is your pizza spot!!

McQuade's Pub and Grill is a must-visit dining spot in Two Harbors, MN. Located just a short drive or stroll from Country Inn Two Harbors, this restaurant offers a casual yet fine dining experience with a diverse menu featuring pan-seared salmon, Philly cheesesteak nachos, steaks, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and pasta. The handcrafted cocktails and locally-brewed beers add to the appeal.
Surprisingly good bar/lounge. Whole place feels newly renovated and kept clean. Good burger options one critique would be the burger buns feeling flat and squishy so makes it all fall apart easy. Fried pickles were the best I've had. Light and crispy and not soaked in oil.
Marcus — Google review
Our group of 4 was pleasantly surprised by this random Labor Day find. I got the Old Fashioned smash burger with a side of Mac (thousand island) dressing and everything tasted homemade. Fries were perfectly crunchy and fried in beef tallow, dressing tasted freshly made and the burger was just right. Patty was on the thinner side and that’s exactly what I like so the other toppings can standout too. The handmade chicken tenders were also good. The portions were refreshingly right-sized - not too much food and no one left hungry. Mary is a delightful server and the hostess was pleasant and friendly. Will for sure be back.
Lisa F — Google review
Quiet little pub and grub with phenomenal bloody Mary’s and fried pickles that are OUT OF THIS WORLD! The batter on these pickles and the service size is none I’ve ever had! Crispy, light and full of flavor. This appetizer is enough for at least 4 people! Service is excellent! Friendly smiles, attentive to everyone! Will definitely visit again and give 5+ ⭐️
Leah M — Google review
This place is legit. Had a craving for some loaded fries, so I tried the Philly Fries. Wow. They had a very healthy mix of sliced beef, cheese, and onions. Fast service and piping hot.
John F — Google review
We had a wonderful experience here! Super yummy burgers. Top notch service-our server was super attentive. We tried the cheese curds with caramel sauce (on the side) and all 5 of us loved it!!
Michelle S — Google review
Good drinks, burgers, wraps and wings. The Cajun Honey Butter wings were excellent. Big MacQuade burger as well, it's huge tho.
Derek P — Google review
Came in expecting good things left very disappointed… I ordered wings and a side salad. The wings were actually pretty good but the salad was small and looked like grass. My girlfriend ordered a VANILLA malt it tastes like chocolate. She also ordered cheese curds and a chicken bacon ranch wrap. The cheese curds tasted burnt and the wrap was just straight up not good. Also charged for one tiny thing of ranch. We would have been better off eating at kwik trip next door..
Hailie K — Google review
It is a pub and grill however they are not in the same space. Once you enter the main door, you select the inner left door for the grill. The grill has very nice features such as knotty pine and a fireplace; however it could use a personal touch to make it feel cozier, warmer and inviting. The food was the star. There were four of us and we all ordered something different and we each really liked what we ordered. I had the fries with gravy and it was delicious. Also, there was no wait to get in like other places in town. Not certain why this place did not have a wait time because it had better food than the others.

The restaurant prides itself on scratch-made soups, sauces, and gravies, as well as slow-cooked comfort food classics like meatloaf and pot pies. During the summer months, patrons can dine on the energizing outdoor patio while enjoying fresh food and fine service.
We had the stuffed tator tots for appetizer, meatloaf entree, turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy, and Reuben. All were delicious! Served hot and nice presentation. Server was attentive. We will return next year when we again visit Minnesota.
Gigi B — Google review
Ate there twice in the last week. Just a real gym both in the friendliness of the people that took very good care of us and also in the quality and preparation of the food. This will be our go-to place from now on when we are into harbors and I understand that they took over a former Perkins in Duluth and we intend to try that place. In this tough restaurant time that we're going through. It's so wonderful to find a place like this. Kudos to the concept and the people behind the actions.
John R — Google review
We stopped at the Black Woods Bar & Grill for a late lunch. We were seated immediately in a booth that had a view of the street. The server was friendly and helped me find a menu item that was at least vegetarian as I am Vegan. The vegan BLT I chose was delicious and made of fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was a little dated but homey. Overall my experience was good and I will return again someday.
Robert S — Google review
We came in hungry with tweens and we got out fill! Great selection on the menu. Service was prompt and food was delicious! This was a great place to stop after exploring. We started with onion rings and loaded tots. I had the salmon sandwich. Everyone had something they enjoyed and we were stuffed by the end of our meal!
Erin M — Google review
While the food was edible, we waited almost 45 minutes for our food. People that came in after us, got their food before we did, and when we did, one burger was cooked rare and the bun was soggy, it was ordered well done to begin with. Our waitress made sure to get it fixed promptly, but cooking a burger well done can be done by a 10 year old. Some.of it seemed like it sat under the warming light too long and the little pieces of bread that came with the meal were so hard you couldn't even bite them without risking chipping a tooth. All.in all, we got fed and filled our bellies, but with the reviews this place has...... it could/should have been far better.
Curt W — Google review
We had an anniversary dinner here and it was incredible. Our food came out well-plated and warm. They offered gluten free pasta at no extra charge and it tasted phenomenal. I highly recommend this location.

This family-owned coffee shop is known for its delicious coffee and welcoming atmosphere. The cozy mountain-style home features large windows and a spacious backyard with communal picnic tables, making it an ideal spot to relax with your furry friend.
Had the brown sugar rosemary flavor in the cold brew and of all the coffee shops I’ve been to it was by far the BEST coffee I’ve ever had! Staff was very friendly, and the place was very busy. Super cute outdoor area with a very woodsy vibe. I only wish I lived closer, I’d go everyday!
Andrea D — Google review
Cedar Coffee Company is such a gem of a coffee shop, tucked into the woods with a peaceful patio and large windows that flood the space with natural light. The drinks are delicious, the cardamom latte was especially good and they also offer baked goods and ice cream, which is a fun bonus. A cozy, welcoming spot that feels perfectly in tune with its North Shore setting.
Chloe — Google review
Such a cute and aesthetic coffee shop surrounded by a white cedar tree forest! The coffee is so extremely smooth and delicious. The baristas were also so sweet and friendly. I tried the lavender latte and the brown sugar rosemary lattes. 10/10 would recommend and I will be back for more!
Maddie M — Google review
A great coffee menu in a fun environment with a great outside seating area. The breakfast burrito was amazing, made with Lavash (tortilla/flatbread) high quality ingredients, I loved it. My wife had a croissant breakfast sandwich and liked it very much. Please give this place a try. It can be busy on weekends. Worth the wait!
Chris S — Google review
One of my favorite stops on the north shore has sadly come to an end. We stopped here on a Sunday (Father’s Day) at around 11:15am and waited 57 minutes for an incorrect food order (gluten free pb toast and a breakfast burrito - no pb on toast). The drinks were faster - slow but an understandable wait with how busy it was. We were told “this is our Sunday” by staff so know that you might wait an hour for food if it’s a weekend. When we left they were telling people the wait for food was 30 minutes - we weren’t warned and wouldn’t have waited if we had been told there was a 30 minute wait. Our experience just wasn’t worth the stop (beautiful location and good coffee). Note that I did wait back in the ordering line to cancel our food order but was told they were making it and then it was another 10-15 to get it.

The 5th Street Malt Shoppe, located just a short drive from Country Inn Two Harbors, is a delightful little spot to indulge in some delectable treats. Offering an array of flavors that can be mixed and matched, this charming shop allows you to create endless ice cream combinations. Their handmade waffle cones are simply divine, and they even cater to our furry friends with their Pup Cups. The strawberry shake is particularly enjoyable, complemented by a delightful cookie.
I was excited to stop here for an ice cream treat as we traveled through Two Harbors. We were offered good old-fashioned friendly service. Our server was friendly and patient while we took our time placing our orders. My double hand scooped ice cream cone was delicious with Carmel and cashews. It was yummy! Service was fast!

When I saw that a simple Chocolate Malt was nine Dollars I had to think twice but since I was on vacation I gave it a try. It was a very good Chocolate Malt. 5th Street Malt Shoppe definitely has a good system going. They have a limited menu which allows the orders to be done quickly and the orders are made in short order. The line moves quickly and the quality of the product is very good.

Wife and I have been wanting to visit for years! So glad we finally had the chance to drop by recently when we were having some date time. The chocolate fudge with Andes mints was fantastic! We also loved the wafer topper and the oversized straw. The straw is the kind you have with bubble teas and is very sturdy for sipping shakes without it collapsing. We will be back again soon!
Lance T — Google review
I recently visited 5th Street Malt Shoppe with my husband, and we were both delighted with our choices. I opted for the chocolate malt, which was rich and satisfying, hitting all the right notes for a classic malt lover. My husband chose the raspberry fudge malt, and he was equally impressed. He mentioned that it was better than most raspberry chocolate concoctions he's tried before, with a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. The flavors were well-blended, and the texture was smooth and creamy. The service was friendly, and the ambiance of the shop added to our enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be returning to try more of their delicious offerings.
Sarah M — Google review
I had a chocolate peanut butter malt. It was exactly what I wanted. It's right off highway 61 so easy access. The staff member was very nice and made sure I received exactly what I wanted. He put two cherries and have two straws for us to share. I was really impressed with the service and will be coming back for more in the near future!
Joshua W — Google review
This is a cute little ice cream shop that sits next to Dairy Queen. I have to admit, I love Dairy Queen and wanted a blizzard, but was interested in trying out this place. It’s pretty good and the service was fast and polite. My main critique has to do with the ice cream itself. I think they should either make their own (preferred!) or carry a really high end brand. Kemp’s is a basic national brand. On a hot day with family and friends, most people would just be happy to have something cold, but sitting next to Dairy Queen, I would up my ice cream game a bit.
Nathan N — Google review
What can I say?? Yummmmmmmmmmmthe strawberry shake was great loved the little cookie that came in it. The kids loved their colorful ice cream. Think they were fruit flavors. Now let’s talk about their mint ice cream 🍦 wow! We love mint ice cream and this was probably the best mint ice cream we have had!! We even got an extra scoop of it after getting our original order.
Kyla B — Google review
Best ice cream I've had in a long time. Flavorful, creamy and rich. Yummy yummy yummy. I had the chocolate peanut butter and the cookie dough. The chocolate peanut butter is a creamy chocolate ice cream with real peanut butter swirled into the ice cream, every bite is a flavor explosion of peanut butter in your mouth. The cookie dough has nice big chunks in it and mixed with the chocolate peanut butter in a hot fudge sundae, OMG, it was amazing. My wife had the blueberry cheesecake and the barking pretzel. She said that she loved it, especially the pretzel one. Will be back tomorrow.😋

Louise's Place Cafe + Pantry Provisions has been a beloved spot in Two Harbors for over two decades, offering delectable desserts and top-notch coffee. What started as a humble bakery and coffee shop has evolved into a full-fledged eatery, serving up homemade bread, daily specials, and even catering services.
I am a huge fan of Louise's Place! They recently catered my wedding reception at Harbor Rail Pub and the food was absolutely delicious. They had many options for types of food to cater, and the prices were very reasonable. Very friendly service, right on time, and they made the whole process very easy for us! We also had food and drinks from the cafe for lunch before the wedding, and it was amazing, as well. Highly recommend!!!
Natalie K — Google review
My wife and I stopped in around noon on a Wednesday. We are from out of town & were welcomed with kindness and a sense of familiarity - a community type feel in this little cafe. We ordered the Louise’s Club & it was phenomenal! The cranberry wild rice bread MADE the sandwich. Generous portions of fresh deli meat + bacon & delicious cheese as well! 10/10 sandwich & a super cool vibe. We’ll be back whenever we are in town!
Neil G — Google review
We have been visiting the north shore, and Two Harbors for 20+ years and just discovered Louise's place on our most recent stay last week. What an absolute gem of a place this is. Marsha and Dan are both very friendly and helpful, and the small amount of items they stock beyond the daily food offerings in this tiny place is just awesome! We were lucky enough to drop in on a Thursday when they make and sell pasties. Dan, you have done your northern heritage proud mate! What great pasties those are, perfect blend of filling and spices, and you nailed the pastry! As an expat from the north of England myself, it's small things like this that can stave off the homesickness. Thank you, we cannot wait to be back, and know exactly where we will be going for breakfast and lunch next time we're in town. PS. My wife had a turkey club sandwich - which was also deliciously perfect!
Laurence J — Google review
Louise’s is our favorite breakfast and lunch spot in Two Harbors! The breakfast sandwiches and tacos are outstanding, and you can’t go wrong with the cinnamon or caramel rolls. Delicious! For lunch I typically choose the lunch special, but the sandwiches and salads are amazing as well. Quality ingredients, carefully crafted menu items and friendly service make Louise’s a consistently great choice for take away!
Debbie S — Google review
It's everything I thought it would be! Great food, great service, all in a very elegant setting!
Kristin T — Google review
The owners are committed to showcasing high quality ingredients and products. Food is straightforward and presented simply, which lets the ingredients speak for themselves and shine. There is so much care and intention in their offerings! Don’t miss out on egg sandwiches, espresso drinks, lunch specials, or their take n bake items. Their retail area has hard to find, unique and artisanal products that even some twin cities stores don’t offer. This is the best food spot in two harbors, hands down.
Maggie W — Google review
Small little spot to stop at and was totally worth it! Their sandwiches were delicious. We loved the cranberry bread as well! The cheeseburger for the kids was perfect they loved it and us adults also thought it was super tasty! I ordered an Italian soda that was super tasty. I think it was called mint frost maybe? It was scrumptious loved the mint. Loved the table we sat at I thought it was super unique.

We had Louise's Place do the catering for our micro wedding at Gooseberry Falls state park. When I reached out and asked if they had vegetarian catering options, I was sent a list of 5-6 very different buffet style meals (all sounding delicious). We decided to go with the vegetarian taco bar. They delivered the food, set it up at our venue with warmers and all necessary utensils for self service, and returned at a designated time to pack up leftovers for us and gather their dishes at the end of the night. We could not have gone with a better service to cater our reception meal - the food was great, the price was fair, and the communication and service was top tier. thanks so much. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, ordered takeout. Simple 12" cheese pizza. Delicious! Very nice staff. Bring cash, cards have a fee.

Great pizza, it was a little strange cut into small rectangles but apparently it allowed you to eat more of it. Haha. The place isn’t fancy for sure, the prices weren’t cheap either, but the pizza was very good.

Small town small chain pizza place in Two Harbors, MN with a small beer list. My husband and friends got a large meat-lovers type pizza which they said was good. I ordered and paid separately for a glass of beer and my 12” veggie pizza, add artichokes, and NO CHEESE, and my bill alone was $35. I thought this was high for sauce and a sprinkling of vegetables on a pizza crust - the cheese is the main cost… The pizza tasted pretty good: super thin cracker crust, a good amount of sauce. The mushrooms were canned, not fresh. The one big issue my friend noticed was the shaker of Parmesan cheese that was at our table was totally moldy, like clumps of blue mold. Unfortunately she had started to put it all over the pieces on her plate before seeing the mold. Likely sitting on the table for days…I know it’s northern MN in the summertime, but this is just unacceptable and lazy. She mentioned it to the server and he brought a new jar right away and maybe mumbled an apology. So she threw 3 or 4 squares of pizza away, and he didn’t offer any compensation. Come on Do North, you can Do Better. You’ve got to check that -ish daily before someone gets sick. Probably won’t be back , there are other pizza places in town.

We have tried to order from here three times because it keeps getting recommend. Every time our order has been wrong. I feel like they get so busy that the cooks aren't paying attention. One time we ordered gluten free crust for our celiac friend and it was not gluten free. They are quick to offer to make a new pizza, but its usually a minimum of a 45 minute wait. No fuss with refunds though.

Some of the best gluten free cauliflower crust pizza I've ever had! The crust was crisp and not soggy. Classic pizza pub vibes. Friendly staff.

In the current time of not being able to dine in at a restaurant we were a little stumped about where to eat when we stayed in Two Harbors. We found out that Do North delivered to our resort and were sold. Their pizza is delicious! They definitely don’t skimp on the toppings and have delicious cheese bread. To top it off both that staff who took my order and the delivery person were helpful and kind! We will definitely be adding Do North to our North Shore favorites list ❤️

Awesome pizza. House special has everything on it. Cheese bread so much cheese ran off top and got yummy crispy on the bottom.

Our first time here. When I picked up my order I told the young man this was our first time and his response was “Hope we don’t disappoint” and I said “hope not!”. The pizza and white out sticks were EXTREMELY greasy (grease ran off like a river!). Very skimpy on the sausage and pizza had no flavor. Very very disappointing for $45!! Will stick to the other pizza place in Two Harbors.

This place was delicious!! We got the Sugar salmon, cheese curds, salmon spread, and crackers. My family ate all of it within 5 minutes! They also have salmon samples, so you can try out a couple flavors and buy your favorite one. The workers were very friendly. Disclaimer: photos were edited with AI to remove glare.

Very high quality smoked fish. In the top five we've ever tasted. Cajun Salmon was delicious with just enough spice to not overwhelm the fish. Actually thought the Peppered Trout was slightly better. The oilier flesh made it more moist. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff too. We'll be back!

This was my first year having Lou's and I will be back! I tried trout, Cajun salmon, and sugar salmon and they were all delicious. I also bought a beef summer sausage and it was THE best I have ever had. I had to stop on my way out of town to buy more fish and couple more sausages to share with my family. First and foremost, Armando was a great waiter. He was extremely nice, knew the menu, suggested things based on his knowledge of the menu, and was very attentive. The food was stunning! Every dish was made with such care, was beautiful, and tasted absolutely delicious. The decor was beautiful and the view of Lake Superior was perfect. Very romantic and it was great to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary there. Fine dining at its finest. Give the chef our compliments along with Armando. I absolutely recommend going here!

I wanted to love this place, and maybe I would give it five stars across the board if we hadn't gone on Thanksgiving. It's a beautiful place and the service was good, but the food was not as spectacular as I had hoped. The soup they served was decent, albeit almost kind of ruined by the woody pumpkin seeds they added to it that left us trying to eat around them. The salad was basic, but good. The choice of risotto with the main course was interesting, but didn't seem to pair very well with the pork belly that I had, and it was maybe ever so slightly under done. All in all, it wasn't bad, I just had higher hopes from looking at their main menu. Maybe we'll have to try again another time.

I can't believe there is a fine dining restaurant in Northern Minnesota! We dined here for my boyfriend's birthday and it was definitely worth while. We shared the venison carpaccio for an appetizer and it was mouthwatering. I got the lobster corn chowder for my entree and it actually shocked me how perfectly the lobster was cooked. We also shared a side of risotto and the lobster hasselback potato which were both delicious. The view is stunning and the whole vibe of Silver Creek Chophouse is so romantic. It's a big dining room so you don't feel like you're eating right next to other people. The service was wonderful as well, they even gave my boyfriend a 7 layer cake for a birthday dessert!

Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view and great staff. We even brought our 4 year old and they were so sweet, kind and accommodating. The food was absolutely to die for. My husband absolutely loved the charcuterie board, best bacon he has “ever” had. Incredible tasting potatoes, duck, and steak, absolutely loved the risotto! They also gave us delicious little treats before our appetizer and dinner for palette cleansers. Then they surprised us with a cake for my husbands birthday and Prince, our incredible waiter, even volunteered to take pictures for us. The manager came over and checked on us during the meal. Overall a great experience and we will be back for more (maybe without the little one for the next time).

Our server was fantastic, he was very attentive and professional. The atmosphere was a cool modern vibe. You can’t beat the view from this restaurant. It is the second floor of the hotel overlooking the north shore. It is an expensive restaurant, no doubt, but we had just drove all day and didn’t want to leave the hotel. The food was good, and the portion sizes were solid. To be able to eat good food and not have to drive, we didn’t have to wait for a table, and they offered a kids menu… all worth it. My kids had the chicken tenders and fries. The kid’s meals also included a brownies sundae, which was a nice touch. My husband was very satisfied with his bison steak, the duck wontons on the blueberry wild rice was one of my favorites of the night. The wine cellar has a great selection as well, although very pricey.
Linda M — Google review
Absolutely amazing food and service. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive. Great view of the lake and beautiful restaurant. Maybe a bit pricey for the average Joe and more of a special occasion type place. That said it is definitely our new favorite. I had never had wild boar before so I ordered the wild boar ribs and they were phenomenal. My wife had the coho salmon and that too was very good. Food presentation was very professional... Would definitely recommend. Wouldn't have even known about the place had they not put up a few Billboards recently. That would be my only recommendation to them would be to up their advertising and I guarantee the place would be packed daily just one. Scott Griesbach's review on here for this place is so far from the truth.... I recommend he, or possibly she?, remove it....

Silver Creek Chophouse is not just a restaurant; it's an experience of North Shore flavors. My husband and I recently visited for the second time. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here on Dec 22 and it was an experience that surpassed all our expectations. **Ambiance:** Stepping into Silver Creek Chophouse feels like entering a sanctuary of culinary delight. The dim lighting, soft music, and up north theme, complete with birch wallpaper and antler chandeliers, create a romantic yet modern atmosphere. The touch of Christmas decorations added a festive warmth to the evening, making it a memorable setting. **Service:** What sets Silver Creek Chophouse apart is the extraordinary service. Armando, our server, was not just attentive and friendly but a true guide through the menu, offering impeccable wine and food recommendations. Manager Diana's personal touch, checking in on us, made us feel like cherished guests. **Reservation and Seating:** Making a reservation was a breeze online. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Diana's warm smile, and our table was ready on time. Armando, our attentive server, made sure our evening started on the perfect note. **Menu and Cuisine:** The culinary journey at Silver Creek Chophouse is a celebration of "Land and Lake." Inspired by the North Shore, the menu boasts an array of delights—duck, venison, walleye, oyster, salmon, and steak. This dinning experience certainly left a mark on our taste buds. **Food Quality:** In the realm of gastronomy, Silver Creek Chophouse reigns supreme. Each dish, from the delectable Caesar salad with Smoked Nordic Salmon to the awe-inspiring Tomahawk steak, was a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. A solid 10 out of 10—a culinary experience unparalleled by anything in the Twin Cities. **Beverages:** Armando's recommendation of a Reserva red wine from Spain was much appreciated. It paired seamlessly with our meal, showcasing the depth of their drink menu. A diverse selection ensures there's something for every palate. **Price and Value:** The pricing, in relation to the quality and generous portion sizes, is fair. Overall, dinning at this restaurant is not just a meal; it's a worthwhile investment in a culinary experience. **Special Occasions:** Silver Creek Chophouse is great for a special occasion. Our anniversary was elevated by the staff's thoughtful gesture of complimentary champagne—a touch that made the evening truly memorable. **Cleanliness:** Cleanliness is a priority at Silver Creek Chophouse, evident in the pristine condition of the restaurant and well-maintained restrooms—a testament to their commitment to providing a top-notch dining experience. **Noise Level:** The ambiance was a harmonious blend of gentle conversation and subtle music, creating a perfect backdrop for intimate conversations without overwhelming noise. **Children-Friendly:** For families with children, the menu offers thoughtful options, making it a welcoming place for all. **Locality:** Conveniently located with ample parking, accessing this charming restaurant is a breeze. **Staff Knowledge:** The staff's knowledge about the menu and ingredients was impressive. Every question was met with expertise, and recommendations were spot-on. **Repeat Visit:** Our journey to Silver Creek Chophouse doesn't end here. The exceptional staff, unparalleled food quality, and the overall delightful experience guarantees for a return visit, something we eagerly look forward to. In conclusion, Silver Creek Chophouse is not merely a restaurant; it's a symphony of flavors orchestrated with passion and precision. If you're seeking a culinary experience that transcends the ordinary, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates the artistry of food and the warmth of impeccable hospitality. Your journey into North Shore culinary excellence begins here!

We wanted to try a nice restaurant for our anniversary dinner and decided to give Silver Creek a try. The reviews were promising and the online menu looked great. Walking in, the ambiance was really nice and quiet, the chairs are super comfy and you have a nice view of the lake. The jazzy background music can get annoying at times, but maybe only because we sat directly underneath a speaker. We started with the potstickers and the Lingonberry Goat Cheese salad. The potstickers were very tasty but I thought the bed of wild rice and blueberries could've been warmer, I didn't like it as luke warm/cold as it was. The salad was excellent, very fresh and fruity but my wife thought there was not enough dressing on it. The waitress had no problem bringing an extra side of dressing though. As an entree my wife had the Wild Boar Ribs which she really enjoyed. They were fall-off-the-bone and came with a very tasty sauce, we wouldn't call it a BBQ sauce, more like a fruity tomato based sauce, it was great and not something you would find at any place. I was quite a bit underwhelmed by my Bison Ribeye Steak. I talked with the waitress before and said that I like it between medium and medium rare because I like a nice sear on the outside and juicy on the inside. She told me that that's roughly what their medium rare was like so I decided to go with medium rare. In hindsight I should've returned the steak after the first couple of bites, but it goes against my grain throwing away a $65 steak, so I kept telling myself it's not too bad. I should've returned it, I was not happy with it. It was chewy, not juicy at all and there was no sear on the outside. Big bummer!!! As sides we had the asparagus and the risotto. Both were delicious and the asparagus was probably my favorite item, which is kind of sad. Service was very friendly but the gal was a bit inexperienced it seemed, but she tried hard and she was very nice. Overall I'd say we would definitely come back again, but I will not have another steak, that's for sure. P.S.: There was a $3 charge for water on the cheque which I inquired about and the waitress said she had no idea how it got there....😃 It was taken off.

Culver’s is a popular fast-food chain known for its frozen custard and signature Midwest beef burgers. Despite being busy during peak hours, the staff at one location received praise for their hard work and cheerful service. Customers enjoyed the hot and fresh fries, as well as the delicious fish. Another location in Minnesota impressed visitors with its great selection of toppings for burgers, quick service despite long lines, and clean facilities.
We stopped at the drive thru at 9:59 on Saturday night and they close at 10. We wouldn’t have been surprised if they didn’t take our order but they not only took our order but were SO friendly too. The two girls at the window were awesome and the food was delicious! Thank you so much! Great customer service.

We go to Culver’s when we travel because everytime we visit the staff is friendly, the store is well stocked and good effort is put into cleaning the store. So let’s start with the good: - the food still tasted good - the empty tables were wiped down - I needed to go to the counter twice to ask for things (ketchup & mayo) and the people that helped me were kind Here is what we didn’t like: - Pop machine was out of ice - ketchup dispensers were also out - sandwich arrived squished - every single garbage was full I usually don’t give negative reviews, but these are things that can be fixed so that it is more positive experience for other people.

Good general Culver’s experience. The outside dining experience feels a bit like generically eating next to the main road and surrounded by cars on all sides. If you haven’t seen the awesome native plant landscaping at the Culver’s in Baxter - please copy that landscaping Two Harbors location! You could be truly integrated into the landscape, and just a spectacular experience/peacefulness outside the restaurant.

When we arrived at the restaurant they were assembling order for other customers...one employee came over and greeted us then patiently waited as the 3 of us looked at the menu board and slowly chose. He was very polite. He took out order and our son treated us to lunch....within a few minutes we received our tray at our table....everything was fresh and hot..except the fountain drinks..they were cold....the restaurant was cozy and very clean...

The burgers were leathery and overcooked, seemed like they had been sitting for a while, not cooked to order. Nothing was up to the usual standards, onions cold, lettuce stale. It was way overpriced at $30.00 for two people, custard was good but half melted. Had to wait for about 15-20 minutes. Staff was nice but, incompetent, couldn’t find napkins when containers were empty. Won’t go back, Culver’s needs to go back to old standards and lower the prices

Food was good, but service was extremely slow. The drive through took 20 minutes to get our food. At other culvers locations, we usually only wait 5-10 minutes at max. Adding 20 minutes to our trip just to get ice cream wasn't great.

McDonald's is a well-known fast-food chain famous for its burgers and fries. Customers have had positive experiences at various locations, with quick and friendly service, clean facilities, and tasty food. Some outlets even offer popular items from foreign locations. While wait times can be longer during peak hours, the overall dining experience has been consistent and enjoyable. Customers have praised specific employees for their exceptional service, making their visits memorable.
After a half an hour of waiting in the curbside I went inside to check what the status was. They had lost my order and it was completely gone from the system. (Also talked down to me a bit saying "we have to prioritize prioritize prioritize" with the hand motion, after I asked, despite me asking nice) It was ~kinda busy, not really though. But I've worked fast food before, so I get it. Showed them the receipt and after 10 minutes of waiting in the lobby I got my food. Went outside and checked and I was missing part of the order. Went back inside and got that after some waiting. I'd also like to add that multiple other groups of people were asking about their orders that had been taking a long time. Soap was also completely out in the bathroom and it was a bit dirty in there.

Ordered through drive through, waited 20 minutes for chicken, would have waited longer if we didn't go inside to check on them, the place is a mess, we went back the next day for ice cream and all the employees were just tiptoeing past a huge spill.

Stopped at the drive through on our way through town - waited 15-20 minutes in the drive through line (several people left the line due to the wait). Finally got our food and it was ice cold - burger was incorrect, and instead of a snack wrap as ordered, I received a breakfast burrito that looked like it had been made several hours earlier. Extremely disappointed.

Did the mobile order and was at the order scene before 10:30. Waited over 10 minutes before I could give them the code and at that point breakfast was over. They still did the sandwich’s but they were cold. Couldn’t get the hash browns so ended up with fries that were somehow old. Lady at the window didn’t even know what order they were on when it wasn’t even that busy.
Daniel B — Google review
It took them 20 minutes to get my husband coffee and two juice boxes.... There was no one in the drive thru and only a few people waiting in the lobby after my husband to get their food. I had ordered 2 large fries before him and that took them 15 minutes to get those, the lobby was pretty empty when I was in there. The person that I think was a supervisor was chit chatting with the other employees instead of making sure things were given to customers in a timely manner. I'm all for making sure morale is good, but like you still need to get things done in a good amount of time. It should not take 20 minutes to get a coffee and two juice boxes...
Christina L — Google review
Dirty mop left on the floor. Over 20 minute wait for food, and fries were cold when they arrived. Went to ask about status of order and the guy at the counter says "I don't know about anything that goes on back there, I just work at the front. So I asked another person behind the counter and she says "well, I'm working on it!" in the rudest possible way. As it to say "of course it's taking a long time!!" When they did finally bring it out, no apologies. Just dumped it off like they just wanted us to eat and get out. Believe me, I wanted to eat and get out as quickly as possible, too. I get it. It's McDonald's, so expectations are already low, but even for that this was ridiculous.

Stopped on a Sunday afternoon. Restaurant was absolutely filthy, tables left dirty and trash cans inside overflowing. Their ordering system repeatedly “went down”. I waited 15 minutes for an order I had placed before this started happening. The staff refused to give me a refund and told me to wait. Fries and food was sitting ready to serve but the staff couldn’t figure out what was happening without the system telling them what to serve. When it was clear that food safety rules were being ignored and that they were serving drive through customers old food left. Pretty terrible look for a company that used to pride itself on quick service and cleanliness.

We have not been having good luck at this subway. You pretty much have to watch them make your food to get anything worthwhile, and the downside of that is you find out just how unhappy every employee is. So go inside, otherwise you’ll find incorrect ingredients including wrong sauces and cheeses, a half—toasted sandwich where the cheese isn’t even melting yet, and so much sauce that your entire sandwich is soggy before you unwrap it - even when you ask for light sauce. It’s also worth noting that if you order online and add sides like pop, chips, or cookies they will not be in your bag and you’ll stand in line the entire time anyways while your sandwiches get more and more soggy because they won’t look up even if you stand 2 feet from the counter for 10+ minutes. I have grabbed my own drinks and chips and left my cookies the last few times and didn’t bother ordering them this time. Definitely not following subway franchise standards, and some retraining should probably be done. If you do go to this location, I’d definitely recommend going inside to order and deal with the line. If you must go through drive through or order line then you want sauces on the side if you want an edible sandwich. The interior is nice overall. Side note: I’m not super picky, and I worked at an unrelated subway before. The food is just being made incorrect to the point where even my low standards are stressed. Second side note: they close the drive through with cones so often that I wonder why they have a drive through. Third side note: I feel that I should leave a 1/5 star review, but I’m being generous.

Ordered online ahead of time. The lady the helped us at the window was very nice, but for some reason they didnt get our drinks. We asked for them and a guy behind her said "you gotta come fill them up yourselves". She then gave us 1 small drink, I paid for 2 large and finally gave us the second small. We were in a rush and needed to get going. Then looked in the bags after we left and they didn't give us either of the 2 chips I ordered and paid for. I tipped almost $7 and ended up with no chips and almost no drinks. Never be back to that subway again.

I ordered 3 meals. Our chips were crushed, they added a ton of cheese to a sandwich we requested no cheese on. They didn't put the condiments we ordered on the sandwiches. They put hardly any lettuce on my sandwich when I asked for more. The establishment has gone so far downhill in TH. Definitely running out of good places to eat here! Thank God we have Culver's! Go there instead!

I ordered drive through. It was very easy as it pulled up my old orders. But the subs.....almost no lettuce was placed in both subs. Very disappointing. We live 1 hr away so I wasn't going to go back and have it corrected. Wasn't worth the stop.

The new automated ordering makes it so they can take as long as they'd like to prepare and skimp on all ingredients very disappointing. I ordered a sub with everything besides onions and black olives, I got 2 jalapenos on a foot long and the stem of a jalapeno it wouldn't have been so bad if there were more veggies on the sub and that's why it wasn't noticed but I only got 2 slices and a stem😞. The other sub not pictured looked the same with little to no veggies, not impressed at all.

I got 3 subs and I put a pretty hefty amount of veggies on each one. They put possibly the least amount of veggies they possible could. 3 banana peppers, 3 black olives, 5 pickles, and 4 strings of onions. It feels like I paid for bread...
