Excellent Sushi restaurant in Kanazawa. Worth visiting. All food were tasty, and sadly couldn't have sake but seems prepared with good selection. Will vist again.

Classic sushiya managed by a lovely general, little English but I feel a very warm smile and nice hospitality for Gaijin. Absolutely recommended.

Excellent cost performance sushi shop, very casual. They tend to be fully booked despite the suburban location.

FYI: if you want to make a reservation, try to call during 15:00-16:30! Taste great, local ingredients mainly.

We stopped here for lunch after driving by the beach during our road trip of Japan. Service was very friendly, the sushi was delicious, and another plus was they took card! The tamago roll was definitely a highlight, and we even ordered extras of it.

Had Jo-lunch (premium lunch set). Came with two salads (seaweed with vinegary sauce and green salads with cream sauce), miso soup and one plate of sushi set @JPY1780. The sushi set was really beautiful in variety and flavour - each sushi was carefully and craftly prepared by the chef, out of fresh seafood selection, whic is exactly as you'd expect from a town claiming to be the "Sushi Kingdom". We were seated at a Japanese style, individual room but with chairs so the seating was comfortable. Service was excellent and attentive. Good dining experience. Should visit again for more.

Excellent sushi dishes. You can order set sushi menu or order individual dishes. The middle aged chef ( an expert) will not serve frozen fishes, so the fishes yo can eat are caught locally. So fresh that they are not fishy!!!! Price is slightly on the higher side but within the realm of being reasonable. Good lunch will be around 2000yen per person. They say the prime minister of Japan was here in the summer of 2022.

I had one of the best sushi experiences at Taisho Sushi! I came alone for lunch on a Friday and was lucky they had an open table. They offer a nice lunch deal, but I went all in with the 14-piece omakase since I was super hungry. The fish quality was insanely fresh — honestly the best of my trip!! Even though my Japanese is really limited, the waitress was extremely patient and kind. With each serving, she even brought out a tray with the fish themselves, showing me which nigiri matched which fish and the best way to eat it. That little detail made the whole meal even more special :D I’m so glad I stumbled across this authentic, cozy little spot. Definitely a hidden gem and highly recommend if you’re ever in Nanao!

I ordered ”Haidarui Curry" (with rice) with medium spiciness. In many places, they offer curry sauce with lot less tangible stuff (guess they all melt during the cooking process or simply don't use much?) but this cafe offers great variety of veggies and seafood in Japanese curry, which was a very hearty meal with a slightly spicy punch. 850yen - very reasonable deal.

This place was featured in CNA Singapore. I had omurice and some cheese snacks. The omurice is nice, massive serving. The cheese snacks is really good. Price is reasonable.. No English menu...
