Excellent 5 night stay. Breakfast is extensive and dinner in the restaurant has very high quality menu/drinks choices with impeccable service from attentive staff. Thoroughly recommend their venison main dish!!

Staff and (99% elderly) guests came across as a bit racist, sorry to say. We are a mixed race family, and despite several free tables outside, "everything was fully reserved" on a Tuesday night. Seemed like they wanted to keep the old people occupying a majority of the tables outside "happy". Something seemed off, and we didn't feel fully welcome. We had a few drinks, and then decided to have dinner some place else.

Nice hotel in a small German city. We stayed there 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are big and everything is there. Swimming pool was also great to have, unfortunately the sauna was not available. However we got coupon for another place to compensate. Breakfast was really tasty and diverse. Two small bémols, some staff could be a bit more friendly and towels could be exchange every day (for a 4 stars hotel should be standard)

Gorgeous restaurant, a bit hidden and unexpected. I walked plenty of times past it, and was missguided by outside apperance. I really thought its just pizzeria. I loved the selection of sea food and pastas, and pizzas and also steaks. I opted for sea food. I had tuna tartar (delicious) and grilled shrimps with salad. My hubby had pasta with zucini and shrimp tails. Entirior is very lovely, comfortable nice chairs, very busy at the time we came for dinner. The only minus and thats why 4 stars...the prices. I know, you pay for what you eat, but for 1starter and 2mains we paid well over 100€...

The only one think is that the portion are to small and to expensive and I think that it’s is the reason that this restaurant don’t have so many customers. You will understand more from the photos, that lamm rips have us 33€ costed. We enjoy the experience there and the food but after is it hard to think that we are choose again to eat there not because of the food only because of the price and quantity of the portion.

The pizza is some of the best I have had in Germany. What makes this special is the pizza is cooked in a wood burning oven and not in the standard gas oven that most pizzerias in Germany use. The prices are really reasonable and the portion size very generous. While the pizzaria is not a fancy, upmarket establishment, the taste, quality and price really make up for this in areas where it matters

A little take-away (mostly) pizza kitchen but they do make the standard Italian favourites too. They are very popular and busy. We didn't order in advance and had to wait 45minutes for our order. We were given fair warning. Ordering in advance is best. The pizza was worth waiting for- it was beautifully done. Hats off to the drdicsted crew who work like demons to fix dinner.

The pizzas were fresh and warm when we got them and they are cheap! There was a bit too much dough to my taste and apart from the chili on my pizza they were fairly tasteless.

Nice location but food was very disappointing and no where near the standards set by German restaurants we've experienced on many visits. The venison was extremely tough but one of our group was served a dish where the meat was cold and when pointed out to the staff it was taken away in the hope it would be replaced. It did return but unfortunately it had only been heated up which included the sides such as the lettuce and radish! Felt sorry for the waiting staff who had been let down by the kitchen badly. We were offered 5 euros off the bill!

However, the Hotel is not matching the scenic nature, sadly. Rooms are really expensive for what they offer (paid over 200€ as a couple for one night). The rooms were tidy, but a bit worn out. The breakfast would have benefitted from overall larger quantities, and nore generous opening times for the bar would be nice (was closed by 8). And then there is a slight problem with "Bad" Harzburg: it is just not a nice location. The city itself is really ugly. Verdict: OK, but not worth the price.

We were treated very well, the staff was very hospitable and welcoming, and the food was truly excellent. If I lived in the town, this would likely be one of my go-to places. Service was definitely friendlier than many other places I've been to. I have had kibbeh before, but not prepared like this and not with the same seasoning, and often too dry which these were very much not. She had been drawing quietly and had made a couple of pencil marks on the table. I asked my daughter to apologise for the pencil marks on the table as I thought that was the right thing to do. The lady made a huge fuss about it and said it didn’t wash off and she needed to claim on our insurance for €2000… it was a kids pencil mark on an wooden outside table… for goodness sake. My child was really upset, it was just an accident and she had done the right thing by apologising. In the end I took the cloth off the staff member and rubbed a little harder and easily removed the small marks from the table which the lady then acknowledged had resolved the issue. It was all really silly and a really negative end to lovely afternoon. Other than that unnecessary unkindness to a young’s child we had a nice afternoon and the food was good!
