Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, is a vibrant and retro chain that offers a seasonal menu of creative breakfast and lunch fare along with cocktails. With outlets in various locations, including Pima Crossing and the Mill Avenue District, Snooze provides a boisterous atmosphere for brunch. The restaurant's colorful and nostalgic decor creates a relaxing environment to enjoy its responsibly-sourced, quality ingredients in classic breakfast dishes like omelets, French toast, and breakfast burritos.
The place was very colorful, warm and everything was delicious. A branch within the university. We had a nice breakfast and drank a nice coffee. You can look at the prices on the menu because I added it. We found a parking space but it was Christmas holiday time. I don't know how it is on normal working days. We liked it very much and recommend it.

First time ever in this place, already excellent impression at the reception, very kind, atmosphere and furniture like the 70s, wonderful. Food, excellent presentation of the dishes, and cooked in the right way. An exceptional cappuccino, as an Italian I can say that. A truly excellent orange juice and mimosa. A special thanks to our waitress Tren.
Dino C — Google review
This cool little restaurant has a retro vibe. It’s extremely clean and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. For drinks, my wife had an iced coffee and I had a strawberry lemonade. For breakfast we had cinnamon roll pancakes and a pancake trio with cinnamon roll, strawberry shortcake, and crème brûlée pancakes. Everything was hot and fresh and tasted very good.

I have been coming to Snooze for a few years now, and it is one of my favorite breakfast places. What I like about it is the location. It is within walking distance of where I work, making it convenient to walk there whenever I crave a good brunch. One of my favorite dishes there is the breakfast tacos. Breakfast tacos are among my favorite breakfast foods, and I especially enjoy them when I get them with avocado. They also have great omelettes. One of my favorites is their Denver omelette. You can also never go wrong with their breakfast burritos either. The service is fantastic. One server, Bryan, is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Whenever I stop by, he is always a pleasure to talk to, and he, along with the other staff members, ensures that I have everything I need. I appreciate how they care about everyone in their restaurant having a great experience. Another thing I like about Snooze is the colorful atmosphere. It is a great place to go not only for brunch, but to brighten up your day whenever you are feeling down. I look forward to future visits and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great brunch spot in the ASU area.
Erik G — Google review
I absolutely recommend checking this breakfast spot out 😍 The pancake flight was amazing! 3 flavors in one serving: strawberry shortcake, cinnamon roll, and Pineapple upside down and I am glad I didn't substitute anything out. The fresh squeezed orange juice was refreshing and the mixed lemonade special drink was quite flavorful as well. The breakfast tacos with avocado were amazing. Be sure to plan accordingly because this place is PACKED often. Be ready to wait for a table or choose a good off-hour to visit. From 2 people to a group of friends, you're just bound to have an absolutely lovely breakfast here.

I know Snooze from other US cities and had mixed experiences. This however, was a good location. Friendly young waiter and the breakfast was very good. GF bread available.

I had a sandwich and it was sooo good 🥪🤤 Only thing!!!there was kind of a weird smell inside 😅 so I’d definitely recommend sitting outside when the weather’s nice ☀️

I sat at the bar and gmhad a fantastic Benny duo and spicy bloody Mary. I had the pork belly and pulled pork, which was recommended by Lailah. It was delicious. She also made my bloody mary to perfection. Highly recommend.

Morning Squeeze is a vibrant and inviting breakfast spot in Tempe, offering a range of healthy and delicious options. The restaurant features open bar seating inside and a spacious pet-friendly patio outside. Their menu includes an array of breakfast dishes such as benedicts, omelets, avocado toast, overnight oats, pancakes, chicken & waffles, and various egg dishes. Additionally, they offer afternoon delights like sandwiches and salads.
We had an amazing brunch here, and thankfully it wasn’t crowded, most people were off chasing the more overrated breakfast spots nearby. That worked out perfectly for us. The food was excellent, easily one of the best breakfast places in town. We’re giving it 5 stars, thanks to the fantastic service from our attentive server and guest host, Chris, who really went above and beyond. The only downside was a nearby sewer repair that caused a bit of an unpleasant smell, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Thank you!
Ry S — Google review
Food was good…not great, nothing really wrong just lacked the wow factor. I’m picky about corned beef hash and prefer the shredded style, there’s is the diced version and it really lacks that good corned beef experience. The bacon is really good. The lemon zest in the pancakes was a nice touch.

If you’re looking for a cool little morning breakfast place in downtown Phoenix, this is for you. It’s more on the casual side, but the wait staff are super friendly and the food was good. My waitress Parker was all smiles and very sweet. I had to fly in the afternoon so I didn’t get to try out their adult beverages, but next time I’m in Phoenix with a little more time I think I’m gonna be hitting this place up for breakfast.

Great music, great good, and great service! Freshly squeezed orange juice is the best! Got the Greek Omelet and protein shake with oak milk/peanut butter added! Blended to perfection. Sarah our server and the staff was very friendly upon entry and throughout our breakfast. Will come back and definitely recommend. Pardon the partially eaten food, I eat first not the phone 😋😅😂

Attending a conference on the ASU campus, and needed a place for a quick lunch before check-in. Morning Squeeze was perfect. The food was delicious, very nice portions, and well priced. I got the Phat Country Boy - biscuits, gravy, and eggs benedict. My server's name was Chris, and he took good care of me. Great food stop especially for breakfast/lunch/brunch.

Everything seemed to be pretty fresh. They didn’t have any wait this morning. Server was friendly and attentive. I could see myself returning with my daughter.

Came in today for a quick brunch before my friends nail appointment at 11:30am. We arrived at about 10:23am We were greatly right away. Was told to sit anywhere we wanted to. We sat in about close to the entrance. We were sitting there for about 15 min (10:37am), no waitress came over at all. A mother an daughter came in after us sat down for about 3 min. They sat across from us. The waitress went right up to them with waters. At that point I knew it was time to go somewhere else. Upon leaving, the same waitress stated, didn't see anything you like. I replied we did however we sat here for 15 min or so an wasn't approached. She said sorry I just saw you after I waited on them, I was coming over after. Yes, that's correct after them when we were there 1st. My 1st experience there I won't be returning. Even if the food looked good. 😫

Parker was our server. She was amazing. She was overwhelmed by doing everyone else’s work and was still super kind and efficient. She was the hostess, the bartender, bussed her own tables, mopped up a mess that wasn’t hers. I recommend that her parents get a reward for raising an awesome human. Her boss should make sure she gets a giant bonus. Side note: best Eggs Florentine ever.

The food was absolutely delicious, and we left feeling full and satisfied. We brought our dog along, and the staff were so kind and accommodating, giving them lots of love. We really appreciated it! Looking forward to our next visit!

It's basically a fast food order when you get there. Then you seat yourself and the person that takes the order brings you your food. Everything else is up to you. I was stupid enough to tip them ahead of time thinking that I was going to receive service. I received a couple of ice with a shot of coffee for $6. $16 for a gluten-free egg and avocado sandwich. $3.99 for a half a bowl of fruit. My daughter ordered a burrito and when she lifted it off of her plate it just dripped grease. I guess some people like it like this but the potatoes are soggy hash browns. Cost $58 for two breakfasts. A burrito, some soft & soggy hash browns with a smoothie and a gluten-free sandwich, iced coffee, with a half a bowl of fruit. $58 Like I said, it's pretty much fast food, with cafe seating. You help yourself

I agree with a previous patron. This is like a fast food place overpriced fast food. The food was OK the sausages that we got tasted funny so they replaced it with two linked sausages. They were just all right little on the spicy side. Not a place we’re eager to return for the price that we paid. The hostess was very friendly and nice. This place might not be for us, but others seem to enjoy it.

We were running an errand nearby and decided to stop in for breakfast. My husband had the two egg breakfast with bacon and I had the California scramble. Both were delicious! The spinach and avocado in my scramble were super fresh and the seasoning was just right on the eggs and hash browns. My husband loved the bacon texture - crispy and not too chewy. Lots of hot sauces to choose from. Overall a delightful experience!

One of my all time fave places to eat!! WOW!! My friend and I decided last minute to go to brunch on Sunday. We went to one place and the wait was ridiculous. So we decided to try Scramble. We arrived and the parking lot was jam packed, but we found a spot right away. As we walked up to the front we saw a line out the door, but noticed it moved quickly. There were many people going into the side door to pick up online or delivery orders, so another great option! When we finally stepped inside white, yellow and black colors all over! Their menu is on 3 or4 screens, kind of like stepping into a Pei Wei. There were so many great options. I chose the Green Chili Chicken sandwich. It was a nice sized juicy breast with this green chili and corn relish. OMG so delicious! I left so happy and have been craving it since! My friend wanted the Blue Berry French Toast, but they ran out of it. So he got the special which was strawberry French Toast and said it was really good! He also got a cinnamon roll, but wasn’t too pleased with it. In all we loved Scrambled and cannot wait to go back to try new things or maybe I’ll just stick to my Sandwich!
Kira M — Google review
Super high restaurant-prices, yet fast casual quality. It’s just not that good. The pancakes are as mid as you can get (overly thick, dry, bisquick type). $14 for pancakes of that quality is just wild.

Great service. Lots of choices from omelettes to breakfast pizza and eggs Benedict along with you common breakfast staples. They also have adult beverages to make breakfast a little more interesting. I am looking forward to returning soon.

The restaurant offers a variety of dishes such as omelets, salads, soups, and hearty brunch signature items like the BLT Benedict and the Chickichanga. In addition to its excellent beverage options, First Watch also provides a robust selection of breakfast offerings at its convenient locations.
Excellent brunch. The service was good. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We didn’t have to wait around to be seated. The food was delicious as was the fresh pressed juice. I got the Chickachinga (not sure if that’s the right name 😅). Anyway, it was so good. I’ll be back.

The food here was as incredible as all the other first watch locations in the valley. The Morning Meditation drink is phenomenal and incredibly refreshing, especially in the sweltering heat. During this visit, I tried the “You Pick 2” salad and soup option, and it was a great way to experience the menu! I will say, this location is smaller than some of the others, but the staff does a great job keeping things moving and serving. In the time we were there, there was never a table open for more than 5 minutes without being cleaned, set, and seated with new guests. Absolutely phenomenal!
Stan C — Google review
This place was really great. The service was amazing, the staff were so kind and honestly went above and beyond. The food was gluten free friendly (the savory options—not the sweet stuff like pancakes and waffles, those were gluten filled). The beverages were super great too.
Kristin G — Google review
Had a lunch meeting here the other day and although the food was delicious we had quite a wait in the beginning for our server and the place is a bit small with a lot of tables. Just a fyi not a lot of people like to be sat next to a table full of babies...

I love it here! Especially this location—the team is solid and always goes above and beyond. You can tell they work hard and take pride in what they do, which makes every visit such a great experience. I love bringing my family here for lunch dates, and it never disappoints. The food is always amazing, and the atmosphere feels welcoming every single time. Highly recommend! Strawberry Tres Leches French Toast - SO GOOD

Not my 1st time here. Coffee was very good and strong, I ordered a skillet and my husband ordered the chorizo omelet, the service was excellent. We will definitely coming back again.

Perfect place for breakfast. I enjoy eating in the section that is off the main floor. Semi-private, great if you are alone. Their seasonal specials are never a disappointment. Today I ordered from the summer time specials, the Maple Bacon croissant sandwich. So delicious!

Breakfast. Asked for Sunnyside up was quite runny,Luke warm toast, hash.Coffee was good. It's hard not to get a good coffee anywhere, though. My gals food was much the same temp. Asked if this was real butter on toast, yes! Was the response. Asked for the brand.. It was a half/half type. Butter, margarine. It was my first time, so might try again.. there was a good bit of customer action. It must have something worth returning.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful breakfast or lunch experience, look no further than U.S. Egg Brunch + Cocktails. Known for its generous portions and friendly service, U.S. Egg caters to all tastes with an extensive menu featuring everything from hearty protein pancakes to healthy options that satisfy any craving.
It is a busy Breakfast and Brunch restaurant. They are open from 6:30 am until 2:30 pm. They have a Jr/Sr menu. They have some awesome healthy options. Today I chose the Sr. Pancake breakfast upgraded to protein pancakes. As we get older we really need more protein. Delicious food. Excellent staff. Very friendly and attentive.

Thank you for having an awesome variety of delicious gluten free foods and a separate menu specifically for gluten free! This was the first time in years I got to have french toast! The staff was more than happy to accommodate by checking all the ingredients for my other dietary restrictions and made me feel very welcome. I haven't felt this comfortable eating at a restaurant in a long time! Awesome food and customer service!

We visited for a late Sunday morning breakfast, and the place was bustling with a packed crowd. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff worked tirelessly to accommodate everyone. The food quality remained top-notch, even during the rush. My pancake wasn't particularly fluffy, but it tasted good. The egg was cooked perfectly, and the bacon slices were large and flavorful. Our server was friendly and attentive, despite being clearly occupied with many tables. We definitely plan to return and look forward to trying another day, perhaps midweek, to enjoy the place with a bit less of a crowd.

One of my favourite to dine in for breakfast in Tempe. I like the variety of the menu. I've been there twice and no complaints. The service and the food were up to my satisfaction. I know there are many places to dine in for breakfast in town however few are good in it and US Egg one of the leading ones.

Had to have a typical American breakfast and this place did hold up to it. The coffee is traditional without the fluffed milk, was really good. Portions are really big, would consider sharing next time!!

Very family oriented atmosphere. Everybody seems happy and enjoying themselves. Laughter, talking , kids, conversation . Menu seems genuine with allot of options. Seating outside with misters going . Makes outside bearable. Bench seating and chairs. I order the corn huskers. Sounds like a lot of food.. waiting . Did i mention.. popular. Service is very very quick. Food looks delicious.. hash brown taste House made.. good. Bacon thick. Egg over hard..not to oily. Which is good. Strawberries not freshly cut. Sour dough toast is quite nice. Not overly hard.. wheat pancakes lite and airy . Not heavy quite nice. Over all good.. allot of food. I like the way they use the KISS method. Keep it simple.. coffee kettle left at your table..

Snakes & Lattes Tempe is not your average coffee shop. It's a vibrant cafe that offers an extensive collection of over 1,000 board and card games for guests to enjoy while sipping on their favorite beverages. For just $5 per person, visitors can have unlimited access to the diverse range of games available, from classic titles to modern favorites. On weekends, knowledgeable game experts are on hand to provide guidance and recommendations for an optimal gaming experience tailored to each group.
I wanted to come here for the longest time, and I FINALLY made it!! I found out their brunch trivia morning on a Sunday and I committed to making it this time with my lovely friends!! The entire experience was lovely. The flow was smooth. There were no awkward moments and we were given plenty of time to order our food and beverages (via a QR code) eat, and chitchat with each other in between parts of the trivia game. The hosts were lovely and they sounded loud enough for everyone to hear (their AV system is great), so even if you’re seated at a corner, you’ll be fine. The trivia was hosted at one side of the venue, and I didn’t get a chance to check out the other end, but it seemed like there was another birthday party going on at the same time. Now I have an excuse to go back! Of course, I’ll have to check out the game wall at the corner thoroughly as well!!

Very fun place! They have all kinds of games you can check out, pretty much any game you can think of they have available. The espresso martini was delicious, and I highly recommend it. The food was pretty good. It was a little slow getting to us, and it wasn't super warm, but the flavors were good. They have a "dice shot" that you can order, and that was super fun. You pick a dice, and they bring over this castle that you drop the dice in, and your shot is determined by the number your dice lands on. Plus, you get to keep the dice as a souvenir. The decor is super fun, and the chairs are pretty comfortable, we didn't play a game but would have been comfortable enough for a couple hours had we chosen to play a game.

"My favorite cheese is the one you keep around for emergencies. Just in queso." ― @primawesome, Twitter/X Do you know what you need before hitting an ASU game? Carbs! Nachos and beer, baby. Plus an addition of wings too! - Nachos ($19 + $4 for grilled chicken): I can never say no to chips. It could be with guacamole, salsa, or cheese and I'm here for it. The nachos at Snakes & Lattes are legit. You get an "A" Mountain sized pile of chips. Do you need the extra protein? Maybe not. But we were seeing an ASU game in the late August heat. Let me have some protein. - Garlic Parmesan Wings ($15): I wasn't expecting a BWW saucy situation but I'm not mad about it. They were good sized, plumped, and tasty. - OHSO Popcycle Blonde ($8): One of my favorite brews in town and I'm not even a fan of beer. I love the Popcycle Blonde though because It tastes like a lemon raspberry popsicle at an ABV of 4.5%. Don't question it. Just get it. Enjoy food, drinks, and over 1000 board games!

Super cute restaurant that provides board games and delicious food! I love the payment system they have set up and they have so many games to choose from. I also like how there is a game master that comes to each table and can explain the game you want to play. So fun for friends and family!

Cute spot with endless games, coffee flights, and cozy vibes! Snakes & Lattes is such a fun, unique spot! The location is huge, super cute, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. I came for a meetup group and had a great time. There are way more games here than I ever knew existed—literally walls of options—and they offer coffee, soft drinks, a full bar, and food. When I first arrived, I went to the bar to order and was kindly redirected to use the QR code at the table instead (which was super convenient). I couldn’t decide what to try, so I went with the coffee flight, which included: Black coffee on ice – Slightly sour, likely due to the beans being ground a bit too coarse. Dirty chai latte – My favorite! Strong chai flavor and the milk balanced out the espresso beautifully. S’mores cold foam – Pretty intense. The mocha base + marshmallow foam was very sweet—great if you have a big sweet tooth. Vanilla caramel – Also sweet, not my thing but not terrible. After sitting indoors for a couple hours, I got chilly and ordered a hot latte. It had a subtle floral note I wasn’t expecting—maybe from the oat milk or an added syrup? Not bad, not amazing, but it warmed me up. Service was pretty quick, and food came out fast too. Some folks in my group got the spinach artichoke dip and chicken sandwiches and said they were solid. My only real gripe is the price—$28 for a 4-drink flight and one latte is steep. But considering the atmosphere, games, and great company, it’s still worth a visit!
Amanda — Google review
Great experience! Visiting town and enjoyed getting to know some folks over shared apps (the elote bites are a must), beverages and board games. There's a per person cost to use board games ($6 currently) but it's totally worth it because the games are in great condition and there's even a board game concierge of sorts to find games for you and even recommend similar games—great way to discover new faves.

I have been coming to Snakes & Lattes in Tempe for several years now. Every time I have stopped by, I have had a great experience. The food is excellent. I like that they have a nice selection of food on their menu. While everything on their menu I have tried has been great, their macaroni and cheese stands out the most. It is some of the best macaroni and cheese I have ever had. You can never go wrong with their desserts either. I have tried every dessert they offer, and they are all fantastic in their own way. To the best of my memory, Snakes & Lattes is where I had my first affogato. While I have had an affogato from several restaurants now, Snakes & Lattes is where I had my initial one. The affogato is a perfect combination of sweet and bitter. Their skillet cookie and waffle sundaes are also excellent choices if you are craving anything sweet. The staff is friendly and attentive. To my knowledge, the only time I have been there is during lunchtime, which tends to be their quietest time during business hours, as they have told me and from experience. Thus, I have had some friendly conversations with the staff about sports and what they enjoy doing for fun outside of work. Another thing I like about Snakes & Lattes is its low-key atmosphere. Not only are there many board games to play, but it is also a brilliant spot to unwind and get a breather in before resuming the workday. It also helps that Snakes & Lattes is within walking distance of my workplace. I would highly recommend Snakes & Lattes to anyone looking for a place to relax, play board games, and grab a bite to eat in downtown Tempe.

Was iffy at first to try this place but glad I did. We got the chicken bacon ranch dip, franks red hot wings, side of spicy Korean chicken. For the main dishes we got the tortellini pasta, spicy chicken sandwich and i got the beef stroganoff. Everything was a 5 out of 5 jalapeños. That stroganoff was the best to me. Fire. Also ordered couple of michaladas and they were ok. Server was awesome. Nice, friendly, attentive. Will come back again and will order the beef stroganoff Again!!!!!

Alter Ego is a trendy restaurant and bar located in the Hilton Hotel, offering a menu of New American cuisine along with a variety of cocktails and draft beers.
Alter Ego at the Canopy isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a vibe that snuck up on us and claimed the title of launch pad of the trip. We came in with zero expectations and left making it our default starting point every day. The space nails that sleek, Japanese-inspired calm—modern lines, soft light, and a bar that hums with quiet confidence. The staff? Sharp. Each bartender kept the drinks topped off while dropping insider intel on which Tempe bars actually deserve your time (and when). It’s like they hand you a local’s cheat code with your cocktail. The food held its own too. The Katsu chicken sandwich was a perfect mix of crunch, sauce, and comfort—bold enough to make you pause mid-conversation. Every plate that passed by looked curated, not just cooked. Alter Ego does what most spots in hotel lobbies forget—gives you an anchor. The kind of place where a late lunch casually morphs into your first drink of the night. If you’re staying in Tempe, start here. Chances are, you’ll end up here again.

I had dinner. Appetizers were good. Drink not my favorite I got melon mule. I wouldn’t recommend it. Salmon was tasty. Ribeye was not great. He asked medium they give him well done. They re made it but still was more well done than medium. He just ate 1/2 of it. Desserts were good. We got coconut tres leches and I forgot the name of the another dessert. Bill was almost 240 with the tip just fyi

Had breakfast at Alter Ego inside the Canopy Hotel and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Varsity Breakfast — fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy hashbrowns, toast, sausage, and fresh orange juice. Everything was tasty and well-prepared, a solid way to start the day. The space is stylish and open, with a great vibe. In the mornings it feels relaxed, but at night this spot really comes alive — the bar is always full and the restaurant is packed. It’s clearly one of the go-to hangouts in Tempe. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just nearby, Alter Ego is a great choice for breakfast, drinks, or a lively evening out.

I've stayed at Canopy by Hilton twice now and both times I booked through Amex and had a $100 food & beverage credit, so I got to try a lot of food at Alter Ego. For a hotel restaurant, it's pretty great. The menu has a lot of options and everything is pretty tasty. As a regular restaurant I'm not quite sure I would go if I lived in the area, but I also wouldn't rule it out. Both trips I had the Fork & Knife Breakfast Burrito and it was absolutely incredible. You can EASILY feed two people with this, and I'm sad to say I almost finished the whole thing this morning. Fast forward 10 hours and I wasn't even that hungry for dinner, but I had the miso salmon which the bartender recommended and was great. The menu was slightly different from a year and a half ago so it's nice to see they don't just let the menu sit for frequent visitors of the hotel. Service has always been excellent from both bars/restaurants in the hotel.

I tried burrito and hamburger. Ther were really nice. If there were no restaurants around hilton, I had used here more. Prices were acceptable.

Had such a great time at AlterEgo! The food was so good — full of flavor and perfectly spiced. Definitely recommend trying their spicy margarita, it was bomb! Big shoutout to Josh Morrow and the manager for the awesome service — super friendly. Can’t wait to come back! 🍹🔥

Josh is an exceptional server! From the moment we sat down, he was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome. He knew the menu inside and out and offered great recommendations. Our drinks were always refilled, and he checked on us just the right amount without being intrusive. Josh really went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable. Highly recommend! If you're on the hunt for a delightful breakfast or lunch spot, look no further than Daily Dose Rio Salado. Nestled just east of Tempe Marketplace, this family-owned gem boasts a vibrant and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its menu of American comfort food. From classic pancakes and omelets to unique offerings like crispy polenta and breakfast nachos, there's something to please every palate.
The food was so delicious. The service was great, not too long of a wait (10 minute). They got us right in and served us instantly. I had the omelet and potato’s. Pricing was reasonable. We got the bottle of champagne as well, pretty tasty with the peach juice. The burger was great, sweet potato fries were the best I’ve had in a while, the banana bread French toast was also great!! The jam was freshly made and 10/10.

It’s rare to find a good breakfast spot these days, but this place nails it with well-seasoned food! It was a delight to spend a lazy morning here. Despite a busy Saturday, the service was excellent, the manager was attentive, our server was super helpful, and the busboys efficiently cleaned tables, so we didn’t wait long for seating. We especially loved the cinnamon pancake! While the food isn’t revolutionary, it’s comforting and familiar. What sets it apart is the seasoning and preparation, you can tell it’s made by skilled cooks.
Ry S — Google review
I found the atmosphere to be uncomfortably warm, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Despite the temperature issue, the food presented a mixed bag of flavors. While the savory dishes were somewhat lackluster, the sweet options, particularly the cinnamon rolls pancakes , were delightful and worth recommending. If the restaurant could improve the indoor climate, it might enhance the comfort and enjoyment of their guests.
Reem F — Google review
Oh. My. Goodness! The cinnamon roll cakes were AMAZING!!!! It taste like you're eating an actual cinnamon roll. Wherever I go out, I always finish all of my food but this time I couldn't. The pancakes are a very nice size and they give you three of them so it's a lot! The dd hash was pleasant surprise. I thought it was potatoes at first obviously but the waitress made sure I understood what they actual were before submitting my order and they weren't bad at all! If I recall correctly it's butternut squash, mushrooms, and I think there's some onions too but it was very good.

Stopped by for breakfast on Saturday around noon, thinking it would be crazy busy with all of the graduations going on however we were able to get that right away… Super cute spot! I got the mimosa flight, which was so good! I opted for a traditional sausage and eggs breakfast and upgraded the pancakes to chocolate chip, my honey had the burger with the egg and the queso! I’m usually a pretty picky eater, but I branched out and decided to try a bite of his burger and it was to die for good!!! Our waitress was super cutie! I can’t remember her name but she had blonde hair and light eyes??! And I loved all the real plants around the place too! Jess takes care of them and was so sweet to give me a little baby clipping of one of the plants I found to be super interesting when I’d asked our waitress about it! Great food! Great service, we’ll be back ◡̈

Nestled in the vibrant Shops at Pecos Ranch, BLD Chandler is a delightful café that serves up modern American comfort food in a cozy atmosphere. Whether you're starting your day with a refreshing smoothie or indulging in hearty breakfast classics like omelets and pancakes, BLD has something for everyone.
OK, OK, maybe too soon (since this is my 1st visit), but BLD is now my new favorite breakfast place. Friday mid-morning breakfast & no problem getting seated right away. Coffee and water, as soon as we got seated then it took us a few minutes to pick due to so many delicious choices. Cajun Shrimp and grits immediately caught my eye, but our server said the braised rib Benedict was her favorite, and it sounded just too good to pass up. She was right - it was amazing! My wife opted for the turkey sausage scramble and was blown away with the sweetness of the white sweet potatoes; delicious breakfast. My grandson split an order of Belgium waffles with egg & bacon and they both killed it. Excellent service, outstanding food, an exciting menu with innovative choices all make for a great new breakfast spot - and the also serve lunch and drinks.

Came for brunch to try out the newer menu. Our server was really friendly. It took a very long time for our food to come out but our server kept filling up our coffee and letting us know that our food was coming soon. When it finally arrived, my order was wrong: I had ordered a BLD breakfast quesadilla with no meat, and it came out with meat in it. Our server noticed this and offered it to me anyway. I hated to send it back but I haven't eaten meat in 35 years. They remade it, but by the time they brought out my fixed order, my husband had finished his meal (I encouraged him not to wait for me because his burrito would have gotten cold.) The manager stopped by and apologized but did nothing to rectify the poor experience. The food was fine. Advice: 1) Move the hostess station away from the front door so people don't have stand in the doorway blocking the entrance/exit. 2) Get new plates. They look worn. 3) If there's a service issue, do something to smooth it over (take the coffee off the tab, offer a 10% discount, etc.) For us, the experience was not worth the $54 we paid for brunch for two.
Amanda S — Google review
This is one of my favorite places to brunch. The menu is incredibly scrumptious and they have an extensive bar menu. I usually get the mimosa flight but the Bloody Marys are great too. They also have a HUGE wine and beer selection. I also love that it's locally owed. The coffee bar is also really good and has a drive through.

Just an average breakfast spot. The service was amazing! They have a high top bar area - and traditional seats. I think it would be great for a big party (recommend calling ahead) Coffee was mediocre. We ordered a latte and it was lukewarm. Star of breakfast: donut tower! Old fashioned cinnamon sugar donuts, warm and fresh!! Chicken fried steak: 10/10 BLTA with home fries: 8/10
Angelica M — Google review
Honest review! First things first, service has been very slow here the last few times we have visited. The waitresses have no sense of urgency in wanting to greet their tables. It wasn’t busy at all and we waited some time before we even got our drinks. Food was good and presentation was nice. I think their breakfast is definitely best. I didn’t appreciate the 3 percent fee they charge for using a card to pay. Even debit cards. I’ve honestly never seen that done before by a restaurant. Overall, this place is mediocre. It probably wouldn’t be my first choice of recommendation. If they could work on better and faster service I might feel differently. Going out to eat is an experience from start to finish.
Kali W — Google review
Quite possibly my new favorite breakfast/brunch spot!! Food was outstanding... highly recommend the Green Chili Pork Omelet. They also have other Green Chili Port dishes, as well. It's fantastic!! Service was outstanding and food came out fast! They have plenty of seating in great atmosphere. Large bar with tvs for sports. Drink specials everyday of the week... the Prickly Pear Mule looked tasty!! Wonderful looking outdoor patio and seating as well (just too cold today to try)! 🥶 We will definitely be back and highly recommend for a great breakfast or brunch!
Chad H — Google review
Was a little nervous after sitting, our server was not in a great mood, but improved throughout the meal. Food was delicious, only complaint was that the hashbrowns were pretty salty. Omelet was really plentiful with meat, and the gravy on the chicken fried steak was great! Portions were good, and the atmosphere was more of a place to hang out than just a restaurant. Was a little pricey for just a breakfast out, but if you were going for a hangout, would probably be fun.

This morning a group of 12 of us enjoyed breakfast together at BLD. I hadn’t been here since the restaurant first opened, several years ago. It’s a very casual spot with a nice patio, and the bar, which sits between the dining room and the patio, gave the restaurant a nice indoor/outdoor feel. Our server was on point and efficient. Very friendly! For breakfast I ordered the Mavacado Sunrise on sourdough toast with a side of bacon. I enjoyed this breakfast! My eggs were perfect and the bacon was crispy. The only thing I wish it had had would be fresh avocado instead of guacamole. Otherwise, it was a tasty, light, meal.

This was my first time visiting Biscuits and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I was originally going to go to another restaurant for brunch but after seeing the insane wait time there, I thought I’d give Biscuits a try. First off, I love the vibes of the place. It has a cozy country vibe that made me feel like I was in a Southern grandma’s home. I was surprised that I was immediately seated as soon as I walked in. My server, Amber, was incredible. She was very friendly and seemed happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. I ordered the Southwest Omelet and I can’t recommend it enough. It was delicious with just a bit of a kick to it. Overall, definitely a great place for breakfast or brunch!

We won’t be back. We came here because our fav crackers & co down the road closed. Started off great. We were seated right away and our server was nice. Our experience was ruined by this server who couldn’t wait to talk about politics & rejoice about the latest event that occurred (06/21/25). She stood there talking for a long time! No attempt to avoid the convo. I understand customers will talk about what they want but employees should take that outside. We don’t want to hear it!! Experience completely ruined.

She efficiently processed my order and brought it to me within 10 minutes. I really appreciated her kindness and assistance today. My omelette was absolutely delicious!

Tried the classic burger for $14 and it was just average. The lettuce was wet and not fresh and tomatoes were end slices. Beer battered Fries needed help, but meat was ok.

Biscuits had a very quaint All-American atmosphere. Some of the decorations felt a little dated but still cohesive. Overall the food was tasty. The french toast was made well, not soggy and had a nice hint of cinnamon. The bacon was thick and cooked well! Biscuits were good but the gravy was a little too peppery. A member of my party ordered steak and eggs and the steak was overcooked but still good. The country potatoes were nicely seasoned but not evenly cooked. Sweet potato fries were crisp on the outside, soft inside, and a nice portion size. They had a decent juice and soda selection as well. Orange juice does have some pulp if that bothers you. We had two servers checking on us who were very nice and helpful!

I went to this location because the Tempe location is under renovation. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this location but I’m happy to say it did not let me down. The food was amazing, the avocados were fresh and the eggs were cooked perfectly, my partner kept complimenting the dish (Trad. Eggs Benedict) as they ate. I got the southwest burger and it was delicious, the sourdough bread was toasted to perfection and the fries tasted very fresh. The service at this location was great, our server was very friendly and answered any questions we had. They stopped by every so often to make sure everything was good. - Kelly the server was very friendly and professional. - Nick the cook was very friendly and professional. I came in about 1am or so, I was the only person in there, appeared to be three employees there, Kelly & Nick were the main ones. I'm not sure what the other employee was doing, I briefly talked with him, also friendly. Ordered the Super Slam for $10, what an amazing deal, two eggs, 4 pieces of little sausage (you can get bacon), hash browns, and two good size pancakes. Drinking just water, meal with 20% tip was under $12.50. It was a lot of food for a good price. I put salt and pepper on my eggs before I took my picture, I didn't include a picture of the pancakes as most people probably know what pancakes look like. I ate everything, cleared the plates, delicious. The area seems a little sketch but I didn't have any issues, I'm not sure how the area is earlier in the evening or day time. The fact they have 5-digit keycode locks on their bathrooms is usually not a great sign. I asked if I was in a good area or not, they said that area is fine and is safe, so take that as you will.

We visited during mid afternoon, so we were post lunch pre dinner. We waited maybe a minute to be seated. Our order was taken in a decent amount of time. I asked for a soda with my meal, but it never arrived. As he brought the tab to settle up, he remembered I had asked for "something." He did offer to give me a complimentary water to go. He started us with water, so at least I had something to drink with my meal. We opted to sit in a booth instead of a table. There was an older gentleman sitting at my back. They were finishing up their meal, and much like other older men, once done with a meal, he proceeded to blow his nose. That was a nice addition to the atmosphere and ambiance. All in all, it was a good meal.

Sunny's Diner 1825 E University Dr, Tempe, AZ 85281 I’ve driven past Sunny’s countless times, always curious but never stopping. This morning, however, I had a 7:00 AM appointment with a commercial client, and after a productive meeting, I felt a delightful hunger creeping in. Remembering that Sunny’s was just a quick five-minute drive away, I decided it was finally time to check it out. Friends, Sunny’s Diner is an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness. The atmosphere was buzzing with positivity, and the staff truly made the experience special. Inside, patrons can create their own Bloody Mary from over 50 toppings or try a cereal shooter flight with four shots made with cereal-infused coconut milk. The restaurant has gained attention for its creative twists on breakfast classics and an extensive menu featuring savory and sweet treats.
Everything was amazing! Food selection was good with reasonable prices and portions. The bartender did upset me on my build your own bloody Mary bar experience, but it wasn't hard and well worth it! And it was an experience. We arrived just in time to beat the morning rush, but the server was on top of it and made sure we were not lost in the crowd. The staff was super professional, and accommodating with our dietary needs made great suggestions on the menu. The owner (or manger)is very hands-on seating guests and even bussing tables all while checking on the customers. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend 👌

My wife and I have always wanted to try Hash Kitchen. Every Sunday morning while shopping nearby, we'd notice the line of eager diners waiting outside, which only increased our curiosity. Finally, we had the opportunity, and it was absolutely worth the wait! Naomi was our waitress, and her service was nothing short of exceptional—truly among the best we've ever experienced. It reminded us of the impeccable service we received at high-end restaurants during our travels in New Orleans. And the food—WOW! Each dish was beautifully presented, and every bite was delicious beyond words. It was like enjoying a little taste of heaven. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the prices were, especially given the exceptional quality. I can't recommend Hash Kitchen enough; in fact, I'm begging you to visit. Trust me, you'll fall in love with it too!

The location couldn’t be better. I love the menu and variety of items. The service is friendly and efficient. I had the power bowl and it was delicious, filling, and healthy. The prices were fair. The venue is high energy. Overall, it is a fun, comfortable cafe, with terrific food.

We were looking for a new place to try & we are glad we picked Hash Kitchen. It was delicious! We tried the Canolli donuts, millionaire bacon & a couple of sandwiches. They wre all really good. We will definitely go back.

Went to Hash kitchen for the first time ask my server Zeus what he recommended. I went with his recommendation and I can tell you that it was one of the best things I’ve had for breakfast. Also, the bloody Mary was on point. There’s also the bartender behind the Build your own bloody Mary bar. He has great energy and is very charismatic. I recommend asking for him if you would like some good service.

Went to the Chandler location & enjoyed the chilaquilles, make your own omelet w/ gyro lamb & beef, cherry tomatoes, onions, spinach, avocado & mushrooms with df goat cheese mixed into the egg batter. Both dishes were flavorful & worth the drive out of my way. The passionfruit, pineapple, lime & grenadine mocktail was a nice sweet drink that complimented my omelet perfectly. The sangria was a great compliment to the chilaquilles. Zeus our server was very welcoming, friendly & attentive. And the DJ played a great variety of current & past upbeat songs.

Fun place to eat. I came with my sister for brunch, the energy and food was great. Our waiter was very patient and helpful, the food is amazing. I would recommend to friends and family. The only downside I have is the music, while upbeat and great songs, was a bit too loud. I couldn't have a conversation without yelling at my sister across the table.

Super fun. Live DJ. Portions are huge.vgreat menu. If you like bloody Mary's they have a HUGE make your own bar. It's my favorite place to bring out of town guests for breakfast

The Sweet Desert Cafe is a casual American eatery in Tempe that offers a diverse range of sweets and traditional breakfast and lunch dishes. Despite its diner-like appearance, it distinguishes itself from typical greasy fare by serving small-sized desserts, shakes, and inventive meal options. Its location ensures easy access for patrons who crave a light indulgence or a creative brunch experience accompanied by the essential cup of joe.
Food was really good. Biscuits and gravy had great flavor and so did the veggie breakfast crepe. Service was awesome as well, had a cold latte come by mistake but they made it right quickly. Definitely coming back.

We ordered the pancakes. They were fluffy, light and delicious! The egg portions seemed small, but with the economy what do you expect. The hash browns were tasty as well as the sausage links. We were looking for a small mom and pop place and this fit the idea we were looking for. Oh and rhe self serve coffee bar was an unexpected delight for our coffee lover.

This place was highly recommended to me by a co-worker and it sure lived up to their word! My husband and I have visited a few times now for breakfast and brunch and have enjoyed every meal! Not many places office Monté Cristo Sandwiches but this place gets it in point! Their iced and Frappe Coffee drinks are not over sweet but refreshing and delicious! We will be returning soon to try out their waffle after having such delicious French Toast. This place would be great for small group get togethers, maybe a crochet club or card playing. The location has a decent amount of space, restrooms and complimentary Lemon Water for all visitors. Can't wait to retun! Lovely experience, service and food! 🥞🧇🥪🥐

This place was great! Lots of choices. My son's waffle was picture-perfect example of a waffle. My fiancé and son both got benedicts: son got the waffle benny and fiance got the avocado benny. They both said the hollandaise was divine. I'm allergic to eggs and there was still stuff for me! I got a grilled panini. Again, everything down to the hashbrowns (!) was done exceptionally well. The basics done well, like this place, is always a crowd pleaser. This is my fiance's new favorite breakfast place lol.

Not only was my food really good and the shop itself was lovely… but the owners truly deserve all the love. They were already very friendly to myself.. an individual down on their luck came in looking for an opportunity and the owners gladly gave the individual a meal. What absolutely awesome people running this great brekki spot

Truly the best eating experience in the valley! After a long difficult week for us, coming by here for breakfast was refreshing and very much a needed food escape from it all. We had the French toast, Monte Cristo and a couple drinks-all of which were truly amazing from the portion sizes down to the flavor in every bite. Im not sure what goes on in that kitchen but whatever it is, its magic and incredible. The hospitality of the gentleman who takes the orders and cashes people out was also very warm, welcoming, and helpful for Insight on the menu. Sweet Desert Cafe without a doubt will be our go to spot for breakfast or lunch!

Nestled in Mesa, Arizona, the Henhouse Cafe is a must-visit for an unforgettable culinary experience. Renowned for their incredibly large and delectable pancakes, this cafe has gained fame for serving a plate of two pancakes big enough to feed 11 people. The size of these Mom's Famous Pancakes is comparable to that of a large to extra-large pizza.
The portions here are UNBELIEVABLE! You will not leave hungry. They have lots of tables to seat families and a private dining area for larger parties. My kids ordered the kids pancake platter and it was at least 12” in diameter, plus it came with eggs and sausage or bacon. The blueberry lemon mascarpone pancakes are delicious and thick! My only suggestion is that they give you a pizza cutter for cutting up these giant pancakes. Skyler was our waitress and she was very attentive. The manager came by and checked on us to make sure we were well taken care of. Bottom line… the prices are great, the portions are HUGE, freshly made, and delicious, and the service was great! We will be back again.

Food was amazing! Chicken sandwich was so good! Could only eat half. Pancake was massive! Sausage patties were huge and very tasty! The staff was very friendly and service was quick!

Surprised my boyfriend with breakfast and he ended up feeling defeated. He loves pancakes so he ordered 2. What we did was underestimate the size of these pancakes. They are HUGE and that was for the smallest pancake. We will definitely be going back this weekend but we are taking an army to finish the pancakes. Haha.

Their specialty is breakfast and it won't disappoint. All breakfast related items had good flavor, nice portions, including the pancake stack. However, tue Cuban sandwich wasn't as good as other Cuban sandwiches I had here in Phoenix, Los Angeles and Miami. Service is great and our server was attentive and on point all the time.

Very delicious breakfast spot, would definitely return if back in town, the french toast was definitely a heavenly experience 😋

Henhouse cafe started as a small operation in 2010 and has grown to four locations here in AZ. They are located in Mesa, two in Gilbert, and the fourth just opened in Tempe. They have won "Best of Gilbert" awards for many years. We ate at the 3rd installment right across the road from Sloan Park in Mesa. My HH breakfast sandwich was delicious. It's a large biscuit with fried chicken, cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, and gravy. The kids could only eat less than half of the huge chocolate chip pancakes. These were big, but the "mom's famous pancake" we saw come out to other tables was huge! The Texas benedict was a fun twist on a favorite; carnitas on cornbread with green chile hollandaise. Everything was tasty and the farmhousedecor was cute. We all walked out full and with leftovers. They offer 10% off daily for service members and 15% on Mondays. Check out this great breakfast option in the East Valley.

Stopped for lunch. The restaurant was busy but we had a short wait. My chicken avocado sandwich was huge! Delicious and had plenty of bacon and avocado. Husband had the cuban. Also great. Portions for breakfast were humongous! One table had their left over pancakes in a pizza box!. The restaurant is a little noisy.
L R — Google review
I cannot speak to the subject of the food, as we did not have the opportunity to eat here as we had planned. As in the past, I am always looking for new places to take my family to eat. This particular weekend was no different, with a few exceptions: 1st, when we arrived, I had to go to the restroom after my wife and daughter had let the hostess know the count of our party. The wait was rather short despite the place being relatively packed. (This part turned out to be the only positive experience we were going to have) According to my wife and daughters, the hostess was very rude toward them getting them seated and quickly preceeded to make a massive point about my coconut water, which I have been drinking all of my life and have taken to literally every restaurant on this planet. I had only 1 restaurant prior to this 1 which had asked me if I would mind at least pouring in their glass as to not promote outside beverages. (No problem) and we continued our dining w/ pleasure. Not at this location. Without so much as a respectful or tactful approach, I was met by a forceful manager, backed by a owner whom neither even cared to hear a word I actually had to say. I attempted to explain I have never, nor ever will consume alcohol, so the "alcohol" conversation is honestly mute point. Az law does not actually prohibit anyone from bringing their own non-alcoholic beverage into a restaurant, True reason is loss of revenue, not being understanding, accommodating, while simultaneously being aggressive and rude is the best deturant of revenue. If the concern is they could choke, then that could happen w/ their products, why not offer a liability waiver? Anyway, I guess you would have to be there to experience how smug, rude and overall unwelcoming they all were. Here is a suggestion, instead of being prices about ur "policy" try offering your guest a similar replacement drink on the house instead of a smug glass of attitude. Ultimately we ended up at a much nicer location, food their was excellent, & not an eye batted at my coconut water.

The Normal Restaurant and Bar, located within the Graduate Tempe Hotel, offers a unique dining experience with its inventive takes on American comfort food in a retro-chic setting. The diner serves breakfast and lunch until 2 pm, making it a great option for guests staying at the hotel. One of its standout dishes is the Chicken N Waffles featuring red velvet waffles and juicy boneless chicken that exceeds expectations.
The Normal Diner has combined the 5 most delicious words...."Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles"! Wow!! There were two things that made this dish stand out. 1. The beautiful color, crisp, and light sweetness of the waffles was so good, I didn't need butter or syrup (they would have taken away from the flavors) and 2. The chicken was boneless and one of the most juiciest pieces of chicken I've ever had at a restaurant. This dish delivers MORE THAN EXPECTED! I was so happy when I left and bragged about it to others! By the way, the diner itself is very nice. It was a very clean establishment, bright, open, and colorful. I liked the random pictures on the wall, the multi-colored light fixtures, and the diner seating right up front. The only thing that was a little odd was they cut their menu in half when there is a show at Gammage across the street so that they can get orders out quickly. Unfortunately they do not deviate from that, but it's still worth asking. I would definitely love to go back and try the rest of their menu. I would encourage you to do the same! :-)
AliciaB S — Google review
I see many older reviews praising their breakfast. This is no longer the case. They no longer serve chicken and waffles, chilaquiles, or pancakes. They only open sporadically for breakfast, and when they do it's a very limited menu. When they don't open for breakfast, hotel guests can get overpriced grab and go options. Clearly the reviews here are outdated, I'm very disappointed that they don't serve chicken and waffles anymore at any time.
Gregory L — Google review
It's so nice here! The food is scrumptious and filling. They even have a little coffee bar! When we received tbe checks, they were served on little paperback novels. Despite its name, The Normal Diner delivers an exceptional experience.

It appears The Normal is no more. It seems to have been taken over by ASU and is now a campus food hall. It was not open for breakfast when I tried it.

The food here is incredible. Honestly, only been twice-both times overwhelmed with great options. Shared a burger which is why this one is split in half.

Perfection! Great Location, cool laid back spot. Boutique style. Great food and good service. The gluten free pancakes are delish! You only need one though!

The wifey and I stayed at the hotel for the past two nights. The restaurant is currently closed (not sure if it’s being renovated or what have you), but The Normal Bar area I believe serves all the food from the restaurant. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the three sisters soup (corn, beans, squash). The potatoes that came with the Eggs Benedict were very good, while the Eggs Benny was above average. We were originally given the wrong soup and a young strapping lad waiter was kind to take it back to get us the right soup, but after almost finishing our eggs Benny meal, my wife decided to cancel the soup due to it taking too long. However, the manager brought us the soup anyways, free of charge. My wife loved the three sisters soup, which had a great base to it and pleasant seasonings. We were really glad we got to try it. We are still undecided if we will come back to the hotel in the future, which is mainly due to the unpleasant experience with an older lady at the hotel front desk, not being told that we had to pay for parking, and with our original waitress who only came out to take our order and never checked up on us after that. However, the majority of the other The Normal Bar staff definitely provides us with some great service and we would visit here again. Suggestions: Have the young strapping lad with mid length blond hair share with the other staff at The Normal Bar how he treats guests, because he does a great job at customer service. And maybe have some faint outdoor music for the outdoor seating area. Maybe bring in some staff from the best Graduate Hotels to provide some insight into that they do to provide a great customer service experience.

First Watch is a popular cafe chain known for its health-conscious breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. The eatery offers a comfortable dining experience with fresh seasonal classic and innovative Lowcountry fare. Customers praise the restaurant for its lighter, healthier breakfast choices such as avocado toast and Kale Tonic green juice packed with nutrients. Despite some mixed reviews about the service, many patrons appreciate the quality of food and fast service at First Watch.
This is a solid spot for breakfast. It was clean inside and the staff were really welcoming. The meals are hearty, so you won't leave hungry. They play fun pop music over the speakers. Just take your check to the cashier upfront when you're ready to pay. I tried their Triathlon omelette; it was tasty and well-prepared, though I personally would have preferred some kind of meat or protein in it with the egg whites. Overall, a recommended place.
Steven W — Google review
First Watch is one of my favorite places to get breakfast. I have been coming to the location near ASU for about four years now, and they have consistently done a great job every time. Although there was one instance where they accidentally burned my order and had to remake it, they made it right by remaking it and providing it to me free of charge. Even the best places have off days, so I understood that, and they have not let me down. While I have had many of the items on their menu, the item I have had the most of is the breakfast tacos. The breakfast tacos never miss. Even though they removed the regular breakfast tacos from the menu, you can still order them, which is a delightful bonus. I know many of the workers there by name, and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They are always attentive and make sure everything is going well. Whenever you need anything extra, they are more than happy to help. One of the workers is named Isaac, and he is one of the most genuinely nice guys I have ever met. Every staff member is committed to ensuring that guests have a great experience in their restaurant. Whenever I pay up, I make sure to leave them a handsome tip. The atmosphere is also pleasant. Perfect for unwinding as you prepare for the second half of your day ahead after your lunch break concludes. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great breakfast, brunch, or lunch spot for a reasonable price. First Watch is among the best options out there.

I live just around the corner from this particular branch and almost never see it unoccupied in the morning. Curious one morning I went in to have breakfast and was greeted by the friendliest group of individuals I haven't seen in a breakfast establishment in a very long time. Once the meal was ordered , my waitress Courtney suggested the cheese grits and fresh coffee to wash it all down. Everything on the plate was consistently fantastic, and this was the original branch I had gone into before placing this growing institution on my radar of local favorites, I asked to speak with the manager. Almost immediately I was introduced to the General Manager David, who not only enjoyed this review, it dawned on me this is the kind of environment I had been looking for to grow with. David, as I have come to know him, spoke with me at length, about the various opportunities and the many branches opening abroad. Thus, should you desire to acquire a truly delicious meal and friendly atmosphere to dine in or on the front porch stop on in and be sure to bring the family and/or friends. Yours truly Stewart

Great Breakfast Spot in Tempe First Watch is a reliable spot for brunch with fresh ingredients and hearty portions. On my visit, I ordered the Chickichanga (a flavorful breakfast chimichanga loaded with eggs, chicken, cheese, and topped with sauces) and it came with well-seasoned potatoes and fresh fruit — delicious and filling. My brother ordered the Tri-Fecta, which included scrambled eggs, a fluffy multigrain pancake, and sausage links. The pancake was large and golden, and the sausage had a nice snap to it. Both plates paired perfectly with their hot coffee. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it a solid spot for a casual breakfast or brunch. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the menu has something for everyone — from classic pancakes to healthier options. 💵 Prices run a bit higher than a place like Denny’s. About $80 for four people, compared to maybe $60 at Denny’s. The portions are similar, but the ingredients taste fresher and the presentation feels a little more upscale, which helps justify the higher cost. 📍 Located right on University Dr., it’s easy to find with decent amount of parking nearby.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Clean and trendy restaurant. The seasonal honey chipotle hash had top notch flavors, there was none left over. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a fresh and tasty twist on a staple. Would recommend this place to all breakfast lovers.

I ordered what was supposed to be a fresh biscuit with gravy, and when I opened it there was visible MOLD baked right into the bread. You can clearly see the gray fuzzy growth spreading through the biscuit in multiple spots. Avoid this place until they sort out their food handling standards.
Just E — Google review
This restaurant in Arizona has the potential to be a great breakfast spot, but unfortunately my friends and I walked away feeling disappointed and disrespected. We were a group of eight and understood that seating a large party might take some time. Initially, we were asked to wait while the staff prepared a suitable arrangement, which was reasonable. However, after sitting for nearly twenty minutes, we noticed smaller groups arriving after us being seated immediately. When we checked in again, the server suggested seating five of us first and finding a table for the rest later. That already felt disorganized. When a second table opened up, two servers told us they would prepare it for our group. We patiently waited, only to watch another server seat a new party there instead. The lack of communication between staff was frustrating and unprofessional. Once we were finally seated, we were informed that the two tables would be served separately. This seemed odd, especially since we had been clear from the start that we were one group. The food itself was decent—our table ordered eggs Benedict and sandwiches, which tasted fine—but the chaotic service overshadowed the meal. Toward the end, the experience worsened when it felt as though the servers were rushing us to pay the bill and leave, almost as if our presence as a larger group was unwelcome. Dining out should feel enjoyable, not stressful. While the food met expectations, the service fell far short. Basic coordination, clearer communication, and respect for guests—especially larger parties—would go a long way in improving the overall atmosphere. I sincerely hope management takes note, because this place has potential, but right now it fails on the most important part of hospitality: making customers feel valued.
