Tempe Beach Park is a 25-acre recreational area located on the south shore of Tempe Town Lake. It offers various activities such as boating, cycling, and picnicking. The park features an amphitheater that hosts concerts and shows, including Independence Day celebrations. Additionally, it has a splash playground for children and is a popular venue for cultural celebrations and music festivals throughout the year.
Came here on a weekday evening. It was very spacious and really enjoyed the LED color bridge over the river. There are a lot of electrical scooters for rent to ride around the sidewalk along the riverfront. Did not visit during the day but I can imagine there are more water/boat related activities available.

The perfect place for adults, kids and pets. Whether you want a workout or just a romantic walk by the lake this is the place to go to. They offer day activities as well as beautiful views at night. In this AZ heat take advantage of the late hours. Open until midnight.
Lily R — Google review
Always lots to see and plenty of views. I enjoy seeing all the active people on and by the Salt River. We were surprised today by the 9/11 tribute.
Nikki N — Google review
Beautiful atmosphere. Just worth it. Parking is about 2$ with some change for an hr. Many things to do
Alfredo S — Google review
Lived here for about 13 years & never have gone down to the Tempe Town Lake to take advantage of all the wonderful rentals. However, today I did. Sooo much fun. Rented Paddle boat for an hour, but didn't use all the time. The AZ sun can be brutal even when temps aren't 3 digit. The Lake has long hours so perhaps a sunset ride would be a little better. Either way, Tempe Town Lake is a nice little jewel in the desert.
Ellen B — Google review
Fun place to go with the family and pets. Great open spaces, beautiful views, and a busy area. Rent a boat, or ride a scooter for a fun adventure!

Absolutely gorgeous park and walk/bike trail. Start at Tempe Center for the arts and see the meeting of nature and technology at the Tempe Lake Dam ... So surreal!!

Daley Park is a spacious green area featuring baseball and softball fields, a basketball court, play area, horseshoes, and grills. The park also boasts a mural called "Meet at Daley Park," which pays tribute to Tempe's history. While some visitors have expressed concerns about drug use in the park, others praise it as one of the best they've visited in a long time. Families particularly appreciate the children's play area and picnic-friendly environment.
Good park for day out and 2 big base ball ground, 1 basket court, children play area, big lawn, etc. we used to play every weekend and bet less crowds and they maintain the restrooms well
Madheswaran P — Google review
Daley Park is a great spot for outdoor activities! The baseball field is well-maintained, although there are some uneven patches. The park offers plenty of parking, clean fields, and accessible restrooms. Overall, it's a nice place to catch a game or enjoy some fresh air. With a few tweaks to the field, it could be even better!
Bimal S — Google review
Such a nice place. I love how wide open it is and it also is a very good place for childrens to roam around. They have a children park inside, where they have plenty of small rides. The breeze at night is very refreshing and view is gorgeous in real.
Tonni J — Google review
This is easily one of the best parks we’ve been to in a long time, and my kids like it way more than any other. It’s perfect for all ages, whether you want to play or just chill on the grass or under a tree, and it’s great for picnics too.
Autumn M — Google review
Nice park, good basketball court. But too many people using drugs there, not just weed (which bothers me when I am running and there’s a cloud of smoke moving towards my face) but something else as homeless people who use it in the lavatory often get sick there and leaving it out of their mind. Anyway, the park is good just would be much better and safer if there was a security guy or something
Max T — Google review
very nice clean park it had 2 baseball fields and some nice basketball courts..it's was almost 10 pm and the park was still full of people walking and playing
Maria J — Google review
trash everywhere large groups of homeless people. there was a shirtless guy running around screaming profanities. literally the dirtiest park ever. DONT BRING UR KIDS HERE THIS PLACE SUCKS. its a damn shame the city let's their parks get to this condition.
Michael G — Google review
I grew up going to this park so I'm not super objective about it. The city put some new areas in and some artwork a few years back. I love it and consider it a hidden gem. I included a photo of my favorite tree that has been there for at least 40 years.

Nestled in a charming neighborhood, Selleh Park is a delightful 6.3-acre oasis in Tempe, Arizona, perfect for families and dog lovers alike. Established in 1972 to honor the founder of Selleh Sporting Goods, this park features a picturesque pond teeming with ducks and the occasional turtle. While it may not be the largest park around, its standout playground boasts an exciting climbing tower that kids adore.
Enjoyed a peaceful meal in December. Beautiful lake, birds, trees. Serene !
Narayan S — Google review
I love selleh park! It has a good energy/good vibes and it's even better since they did some of the renovations about a year ago. Neighborhood is cute too and full of personality.
Mary K — Google review
This is a super cool gorgeous park! The water feature is absolutely beautiful with lots of foliage & trees. There's a playground, ramadas & a bathroom which is great to have when you're hanging at the park for the day. Dont plan for a picnic right after rain because there are lots of places for puddles & mud. Also, don't feed bread to ducks apparently. At any park probably. This park's a little diamond in the rough that I've been to a few times. Highly recommend! If you enjoyed this review or found it helpful PLEASE give it a LIKE!
K W — Google review
It's a beautiful smallish park with lovely trees and duck pond. There are 2 stations with dog bags and plenty of trash and recycle bins throughout. There is a playground and restrooms. It's tucked into a cute little neighborhood and I have always felt safe there, even after dark.
Krista G — Google review
An absolute gem of a park. Great for adults. Great for kids. Awesome playground. Good benches. Very clean. Very welcoming. Good size. We loved it.

Beautiful park, love the pond and seeing all kinds of birds. And clean bathrooms!

nice and clean, lots of lovely structures for elementary age kids. cool pond to see ducks. went at night and the grass was kind of flooded though.

Such a fun little park. My kids (ages 4-8) loved the playground equipment, picnic tables, and pond. They saw ducks and even little turtles! The grass could be better, but my kids didn’t care about that.

The Desert Botanical Garden, located in Phoenix, Arizona, has been a conservation hub for Sonoran Desert plants and other desert flora worldwide for over 70 years. The garden spans 140 acres and features more than 50,000 plant displays. Visitors can explore various trails such as the Plants and People of the Desert Trail, which offers insights into the lives and culture of indigenous people who have inhabited the area for thousands of years.
Especially in the hot month of July, if you’re thinking about visiting, just remember to take it easy when you’re outside. It’s a great spot for families any time of the year, but don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated! The garden has tons of cacti, succulents, and other plants that might surprise you. The staff is super friendly and ready to help, and you’ll find signs along the paths to keep you on track. You’ll even get a map when you walk in! Even though it can get really hot, drinking plenty of water lets you enjoy everything the Desert Botanical Garden has to offer. You can wander through different trails and check out the beautiful desert plants. Each area has its vibe, and there are cool exhibits that teach you about the local environment and why it’s important to take care of it. During the summer, there are often fun events like guided tours and educational activities to help you learn more about the desert. Plus, visiting in the evening is nice because it cools down and the garden looks magical with all the lights. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop for some local art, books, or even a little plant to take home. There’s also a spot to grab some snacks and drinks. Overall, visiting the Desert Botanical Garden in July is doable if you plan ahead. With some water, sunblock and a relaxed attitude, it’s a fun day out for families, nature lovers, or anyone wanting to check out the desert’s beauty!
Liza L — Google review
Absolutely beautiful. The Botanical Gardens were one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed every bit of our time there. From the amazing variety of cacti and plants, to the lovely butterfly exhibition, it was all well done. We could have stayed all day and not gotten bored.
Galveston’s S — Google review
This is one of our favorite "happy places"! Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, unique and fun events, educational support for our own plants, and so many more things are what keep us coming back. It has something for everyone. Some of our favorite things so far have been getting married here, enjoying the yearly Boo-tanical Garden with the kids, having regular date days/nights here, and attending their plant sales. The restaurant and cafe are delicious, and the gift shop always has something worth taking home. We absolutely love the Desert Botanical Garden and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice date night, family time, or even just some "me time".
Dakota B — Google review
I’d give this place 10 stars if I could! The Desert Botanical Garden is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. Every trail and exhibit is thoughtfully designed, and you can really see the care that goes into keeping everything in top shape. The staff were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable; they were happy to answer questions and share insights about the plants and desert landscape. It’s such a peaceful and inspiring place to explore, whether you’re a local or just visiting. There’s also a restaurant on site that feels like fine dining without being stuffy. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing, and they cater to a wide range of dietary needs. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot in Phoenix.
Courtney G — Google review
Must experience. Absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate to arrive after the monsoonal rains. Everything was green and blooming. We arrived a little before sunset, so we're able to see the gardens during the day, at sunset with a beautiful Arizona sky, and the gardens lit at night. The Botanical garden is open till 9:00 pm. If you have a layover at Phoenix Airport, the gardens aren't very far away. I would encourage anyone younger old to take time to visit.
Patricia — Google review
The park is lovely. I went later in the afternoon at the end of October and it was still very warm. You can bring your own water bottle to fill at multiple filtered water stations - water comes out cold. Bring sunglasses, water bottle, sunblock and a hat. Gift shop is very nice.
Diana P — Google review
This garden is LIVING POETRY. It was one of the BEST Botanical Gardens I have ever visited. I had no idea cactus could form a desert forest. The design and layout helps you discover a lush, wonderous living landscape of flora and fauna that is ALIVE and far from barren. Additional points: excellent to have water stations through out the park to drink from and the art installations added an ethereal mix to the otherworldly, romantic atmosphere.
The T — Google review
Lots to see, beautifully kept gardens, plenty of water stations and the shop’s very nice - Only criticism was the portion sizes at the cafe (the food was very nice but not very substantial). Started to get a bit busier towards sunset (lots of couples having photo shoots). Have fun seeking out the naughtily shaped cacti

Outdoor Activities
The Phoenix Zoo covers 125 acres and offers a variety of animal exhibits, including a children's area and petting zoo. Visitors can also enjoy a narrated tram ride around the zoo. One of the most anticipated events at the Phoenix Zoo is Zoo Lights, where millions of lights are strung on trees and displayed as animal shapes along pathways.
Wonderful zoo! Not too large so that you can walk the whole zoo of you want to get the full view of you don't spend too much time at one exhibit. Lots of shade along the way, plenty of water fountains available. They have planned for the comfort of the visitors. My photos certainly don't show the extent and great variety of the place...monkeys, orangutan, dromedaries, beautiful birds, nice splash pad for kids, individual displays of the local desert inhabitants, so much more. Nice gift shop, plenty of parking.
Eugene E — Google review
The Phoenix Zoo is such a fun place to visit! Definitely bring good walking shoes — there’s plenty to see and explore. We went in December, and the weather was perfect, though we did need light jackets. We especially loved seeing the lion, and the ZooLights experience was an absolute blast. A great place for families or anyone who loves animals!
Savanah E — Google review
Had a great time at the Phoenix Zoo! The animals seem well taken care of. Enclosures are fairly large and well kept. There are animal ambassadors at most of the areas that are very informative and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all our questions and some were quite funny. They have the only open walk through attraction with squirrel monkeys in the United States, which is in my opinion a must see for any visitor to the zoo. Also you can feed giraffes, ride a camel or play in the water park. Their is something for everyone. Overall my experience was enjoyable and I recommend if your are in Phoenix to add a stop at the zoo!
Alicia C — Google review
Absolutely love visiting the Phoenix Zoo! Zoo staff are friendly and always willing to share knowledge on the different animals at the zoo. Really enjoy the Arizona Big Cats habitat and my all time favorite is the Orangutans. Our family visits them every time we go to the zoo...they're like family!
Crystal — Google review
Beautiful zoo. Lots of remodeling and upgrades being done. Nice tram tour of park, only $6. Today was the Dia de los muertos event, was awesome.
A C — Google review
We had an absolutely phenomenal day at the Phoenix Zoo, and I can't recommend it enough as a perfect way for kids to spend a couple of hours walking around and getting up close with wildlife. Our visit today was exceptional because the animals were incredibly active! Sometimes you walk past exhibits and the animals are sleeping, but not today. We saw so much lively action: • Monkey Business: The monkeys were putting on quite a show, swinging and playing all over their habitat. It was non-stop entertainment! • A Spiky Surprise: one porcupine was wide awake and busy, which was a real treat to see. Hehe did a little of dance for us, and it will be a memorable porcupine dance experience for us to keep in our family. Beyond the great animal viewing, we loved that there were a couple of animal encounters happening, which added an extra layer of engagement for the little ones. We also took the carousel ride, camel ride and stingray feeding. It truly was an awesome day at the zoo. For families looking to make a whole outing of it, the Phoenix Zoo is great. We were smart and brought our lunch, which made the midday break easy and relaxing. And of course, on a warm day, the splash pad was the perfect grand finale to cool off and burn the last bit of energy before heading home. If you're looking for an engaging, manageable, and exciting outdoor activity for your kids, the Phoenix Zoo is a winner. Especially if you catch the animals on an active day like we did, it's a memorable experience!
Daisy F — Google review
By far one of the best zoos I have ever been to if you're ever in the Phoenix area I highly suggest going to visit here. It is the only zoo in North America that has a walk through monkey village which makes it so much better than any zoo that I have been to 🐒🐒🐒
JJ — Google review
Had a great time at the Phoenix Zoo! It’s a really nice place to walk around, and there’s a good mix of animals and interactive spots. Loved the tigers and Flamingo. It’s family-friendly, lots of shade, and easy to get around. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Nestled in the heart of the community, Estrada Park is a delightful neighborhood gem that caters to families and fitness enthusiasts alike. This well-maintained park boasts expansive grassy areas perfect for picnics and relaxation, alongside an array of play structures designed to keep children entertained without the hassle of sand or wood chips. The playground features a foam floor for safety, ensuring kids can enjoy slides, swings, and climbing equipment while parents relax under the shade of mature trees.
I've come here for soccer practices a lot, and this is an impressive little park. From decent, well maintained fields, to a nice playground and basketball court (which my family has never used, but they are often in use when we're here), to the walking path around the park with exercise stations, the city has done a great job with this park.
Jared B — Google review
This park is very well maintained. Although it isn't large, it is organized effectively. It features a beautiful playground, exercise stations, and ample green space for various activities. There are no restrooms available. The park is well-lit at night and is quite active.
Archimedes O — Google review
Such an awesome community park with large grass areas, playground, basketball, walking trail, exercise stations, picnic tables, BBQ grills and more. Great community gathering spot, too. Don't miss the annual G.A.I.N night celebration at the park, too! The Estate La Colina neighborhood association does a great job planning this each year.
Nick B — Google review
Great park for 3 young kids. You can see them no matter where you're sitting and there's so much room for them to run around. It's in a neighborhood with picnic tables and a nice grassy area! It's very well lit when the sun goes down too!
Kelsey O — Google review
Brought my kids here for a play date- the city has done a great job updating the park. Variety of play equipment and plenty of shade for parents. I really appreciate they kept a mature olive tree and made a nice sitting area around it. Even the strip of turf was a nice touch. A few different pieces of play equipment that encouraged healthy activities like working on balance and core muscles. Kids don't know it but through play on these they are flexing important muscles for growth and development.
Andrea H — Google review
My 5 year old sister loved this park. Far warning to parents is that there are no bathrooms on site so make sure to have your kids use the bathroom at home or wherever you are, before coming to the park

This park was renovated a few years ago, and the playground is awesome. They have a huge playground with lots of classic and newer equipment that kids love, including climbing areas and swingsets. Papago Park, located about a 20-minute drive from downtown Phoenix between Scottsdale and Tempe, offers an expansive area for hiking and picnicking. The park is home to the Phoenix Zoo, Papago Golf Course, Desert Botanical Garden, and other museums and attractions.
A must-visit spot while you’re in town! I often travel solo for work and always look for places that are both fun and feel safe—this hike checks both boxes. It’s less than a mile, and once you park, it’s easy to find your way up by walking around the rock. If you’re into taking photos, I highly recommend going early in the morning—it’s peaceful and the lighting is perfect. I tried both morning and evening hikes, and while the evening had beautiful views, it was much busier with engagements, kids, and general crowds. Even if you don’t hike up, the base area is worth a visit—lush with palm trees and a serene pond, perfect for a relaxing walk.
Z B — Google review
My sister/best friend of 34 years set out on the journey today. It was definitely majestic even with all the chatter that was going. Word to the wise if you go for meditation be sure to find a spot away from folks. That was definitely the only downfall of the day.
Jauthenia W — Google review
This park is definitely always wonderful in nature and peace! It’s an easier park to travel through since your agility level may be beginner yet it’s fun and always memorable. It’s a clean park and a safe one as well. The sunset is my favorite, definitely have been here for 15+ times, and recommend this place to lots of people!

This was much needed stop and reflect location. Being out with nature when it was not too hot or cold. Such beautiful views and area. I loved that there were bikers and walkers on the same trails.

Super chill with easy trails to walk around and get some nice desert views right next to the city. The Hole in the rock is a fun quick 2 min climb and perfect to catch a sunset or some photos. Stop by if you’re in Phoenix.
Ashwin I — Google review
This is a beautiful, picturesque park with a lot of different amenities! The walking trails on the mountain are easy to do and breathtaking, but even the more common features are in excellent shape! We have utilized the archery range many times, and it’s a neat addition to the area. You won’t be disappointed if you visit!
Stan C — Google review
This was magical, coming from Florida. Did a few of the small loop trails and climb to hole in the rock. First time coming out west can only imagine what larger parks would feel like.
David M — Google review
Great place to hike! Huge variety of easy to moderate to difficult trails with some paved parts and ramadas and other more steep, mountainous parts. The rock formations are especially cool with lots of fun holes which can be entered and decent shade. It gives scenic views of the desert and cacti and on one of the trails was a pull-up bar and trail heads not only with trail markers but with interesting images and walking stick tricks on them. The desert wild-life including birds and snakes are also visible and existent.

Nestled within the vibrant Arizona Mills in Tempe, SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium is a captivating 26,000-square-foot interactive experience that invites families to dive into the wonders of marine life. This aquarium showcases an impressive array of aquatic creatures across diverse habitats, making it a perfect destination for all ages. Visitors can marvel at the breathtaking 360-degree ocean tunnel where majestic sharks, graceful rays, and playful turtles swim overhead.
A small, but effective aquarium. All of the displays were in great shape. I definitely recommend buying combo tickets with LegoLand across the hall. It's worth every penny and your kids will spend literally all day between the 2. The stingray pool was awesome. The giant tunnel at the end it legit. Super immersive with a lot of viewing domes for the kids to help them feel like they're in the water with the fish. Sharks, sea turtles, axolotls, seahorses, lots of cool stuff to see.
Trevor C — Google review
Great kid-friendly aquarium at Arizona Mills Mall! The price is just right for the size of the Aquarium. It is fun to see the variety of aqua life in an easy-to-follow floor plan. It was fun to see the turtles and tank with stingrays. I loved the bubble like viewing areas for little kids. The tour ends with a small but nice gift shop.
Vanessa M — Google review
SEA LIFE Aquarium is such a fun and beautiful experience! The tunnel tank with sharks and rays is breathtaking, and the touch tanks and interactive displays make it hands-on for all ages. Everywhere you turn there are great photo opportunities — from seahorses to schooling fish. The exhibits are well kept, staff are friendly, and the whole place is easy to enjoy at your own pace. A perfect mix of education, visuals, and interactive fun!
Katy O — Google review
We’ve always enjoyed our visits to SEA LIFE Arizona! The aquarium is beautifully done, and my daughter especially loves the scavenger hunt and all the fun little viewing areas and photo spots throughout. It’s a great family activity, and the exhibits are engaging and well cared for. That said, the prices do feel a bit high for the length of the visit. We’ve gone three or four times over the past couple of years, and while it’s always a good experience, the cost may keep us from visiting as often in the future.

My daughter and I came as she in in college here and We had fun. It was a good time. Blew me away it was in a mall like experience but I would absolutely go again. Good time.

Amazing experience, especially for a first-time aquarium for my partner. We bought the behind the scenes tickets in advance and Aj was a wonderful guide, and he was an absolute delight to talk to Massive reccomendation for adults and kids alike to visit this place! Especially if you're from out of town, on a budget, and on a time crunch! It's worth it, and should I visit Arizona again I might have to take a peek at their other exhibits!

Visiting the Sea Life aquarium with my family was an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by vibrant displays of marine life that captivated both the kids and adults. The variety of sea creatures was impressive, with everything from colorful tropical fish to majestic sharks swimming overhead in the underwater tunnel. The interactive exhibits were a highlight for the kids, allowing them to touch starfish and learn about different species in a fun, engaging way. We also enjoyed the informative talks from the staff, who shared fascinating facts about the animals and their habitats. The atmosphere was lively, and it was wonderful to see everyone, including my family, so excited about the wonders of the ocean. Overall, the Sea Life aquarium made for a memorable family outing. It was both educational and entertaining, and we left with a greater appreciation for marine life. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day out with family!

Tempe Town Lake is a popular destination in Tempe, AZ, offering a blend of natural beauty and urban living. This two-mile long reservoir was created by damming a section of the Salt River and filling it with water from the Colorado River. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, cycling, and fishing around the lake's five-mile circumference.
Beautiful lake, calm and peaceful, great place to walk around or ride the electric bikes. Took a walk and enjoyed seeing people sail, boat or kayak. It was a weekend so we did not rent anything but saw there was a person sitting there as if you could rent a kayak or some sort of water activity. Great place to bike, walk, sight see, or enjoy water activity.

• Review Tempe Town Lake – Endless Fun in the Sun! Tempe Town Lake is the ultimate outdoor playground! Whether you’re renting a scooter, biking, rollerblading, skating, running, or just taking a relaxing walk, there’s something for everyone. You can even rent a boat or a quirky little duck pontoon and spend the whole day out on the water. We always have a blast here and love that it feels clean, safe, and family-friendly. Highly recommend for a sunny day of adventure or a peaceful lakeside stroll. #TempeTownLake #ArizonaFun #Scooters #Siggy_E 💋

Tempe Town Lake is very safe for walkers and runners alike. Please be mindful of the bikers in the area, because there are plenty. The lake is spread out, so you can get your steps/miles in easily. It’s even safe in the evenings, but use proper discretion when alone. There’s also plenty of restaurants and shopping only .25 miles away. Lots of business and lodging.

Tempe town lake is ok, they have rental paddle boats and you can also bring your own board. Swimming is not allowed. Seen a lot of people fishing but didn't see anyone catch anything. On the weekends the atmosphere changes and a lot of people, families, children etc walk around the park and enjoy the views by the water. Be aware that some shady business may be going on.

We went this evening for a doughnut boat ride and had a good time. It was hot but then it got a little cooler the sun went down some and we enjoyed the sunset. It was beautiful! The boat was quite slow but very pleasant. The cost was $140 for an hour. $160 after tax. It fits 10 people. We brought snacks and drinks but no alcohol is allowed.

This is such a fun place to go. Especially during the pandemic. Being stuck in our homes for so long it's a nice place to go and get some excersie. Today was a perfect day to go walking. There were a ton of people riding bikes. Lots of families there with canopy's and having picnics. I love that you are able to rent scooters, the family peddle carts. Fair prices for paddle boats, all different kinds. I can't wait to go back and do more stuff there. Also there is A mountain that people hikes on in the same area. Lots of things to keep someone or a family busy.

S'edav Va'aki Museum, formerly known as Pueblo Grande Museum, is an archaeological site and museum that focuses on the history and culture of the Hohokam people who lived in the Phoenix area from AD 450 to 1450. The indoor exhibits inside an adobe building showcase photos and artifacts related to the Hohokam people, while outdoor trails lead visitors through different areas highlighting their desert way of life.
What an interesting and enjoyable museum. Outside are several displays that you can interact with and learn from. Inside is plenty more information on the area and agriculture in the area. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Had a great time.

Nice museum where you can see ruins of a native american village. There's a small trail that loops around the area with signs explaining each site. The museum inside tells the story the story of the people who lived there and how different periods in history changed their way of life and surroundings. There's also a small giftshop where you can souvenirs.

A small but mighty museum. I really expected more exhibitions inside but even if small it was very informative and interesting to find out about the canals and how people have made Phoenix their homes for many centuries. I specially loved the outside houses and structures to get a better idea of what life was like then
Lorena S — Google review
My only lament is that I did not have all the time I wanted to spend here. The archeological site of the va'aki was impressive to behold and contemplate. I loved getting to connect with the physical site and imagining the life of the O'odham people a thousand or so years ago and imagining their lives, pondering their engineering and how it made this unforgiving environment liveable. The bonus is realizing this museum represents a ground zero of Phoenix's origin story. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Wonderful indoor/outdoor museum. I recently stopped by on a long layover. Perfect distance to head over to kill some time on a layover. The outdoor area provides some great views of the airport and Valley.

I would have given five stars if there were more to explore inside but that is neither here nor there. I enjoyed looking at all that they have outside as well. I loved that they have a garden and kitchen props and that you could see how the inside of the homes looked. I went on a Sunday and there was minimal people there.
Shaunta S — Google review
I am truly puzzled by the positive reviews that were posted online. We trusted those reviews and wondering which museum they were reviewing. Spent 45 minutes for the entire experience, not much to look at compared to other ruins and museum’s and wasted $13 a person.

I used a library culture pass to see this. It also counts as an Arizona 250 site. I hadn't been here since a kid. It's very interesting for those who appreciaye archeological sites. The docent gave an interesting and informative talk. I appreciated the quiet and gentle walk thru and on top of the ruins. It gives you a better understanding of the size and depths of the structures. I would recommend visiting in the mornings, as it still gets warm even during the Fall. This museum is located in the heart of the city, so it's really a juxtaposition of the old amongst the new. There's a lot of signage to read in the museum, but we mainly enjoyed the stroll.

Arizona State University Tempe Campus is the largest university in Arizona, known for its affordable education and prime location in downtown Tempe. The campus houses various schools and institutes, offering multidisciplinary research opportunities with cutting-edge facilities. It's also home to the impressive Arizona State University Art Museum, showcasing over 10,000 artifacts and contemporary artworks. Whether you're a student or a visitor, ASU Tempe Campus offers a vibrant atmosphere with access to nearby amenities and attractions.
Everyone that I asked or didn’t ask about ASU all exclaimed that this campus was the most beautiful. They were absolutely right! After many college visits the key highlights of ASU is its it own city. You literally don’t have to leave. It’s modernized in every way. It doesn’t boast in historical components more than its future imprint. Lastly, it’s resourcefulness. We didn’t join an official tour but everyone we spoke to from students to staff readily assisted us. It was a one of kind university experience.

Walking many main campus’s across the US including many large state institutions I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the main campus was via foot on a Sunday afternoon. I can’t speak for the academics or campus life but it had a lot to offer and felt unique, inviting and progressive academically. Hard to rate it overall but as a campus walk I walked away with a good impression of ASU.

ASU completely upgraded their Game Day App....which meant completely starting over with the new app. My football tickets didn't show up, coupled with the fact we wanted to put all our accounts under one name. We seen our athletic representative Zack, who always gets things done for us. Used a different method which was just as easy to find and have access to football tickets, got all our accounts together now, paid for wrestling season tickets, so now we're good for this academic year. "It's all FORKS UP!"

Awesome location to learn Aerospace Engineering. Sadly didn't work out for me but would 100% recommend if you get the chance. 1 star was knocked off because of just how expensive this school is. unless your doing something that isn't taught anywhere else with decent reviews it would be in the best interest to go elsewhere.

Museums
The AZ Heritage Center at Papago Park is a museum managed by the Arizona Historical Society that showcases multimedia and interactive displays on various aspects of Arizona history, including city life. It offers visitors an opportunity to catch up on the state's past from Pumpkinville to present times. The exhibits take visitors through a journey of reminiscence if they are long-time residents or provide them with an overview of the state's heritage within an hour.
Todd at the front desk was very friendly and told us all about the exhibits we would be seeing. His enthusiasm made me want to see EVERYTHING. I don't think the museum had a single visitor besides the two of us the entire time we were there. Plenty of parking. The museum was educational and interesting.

Danny S — Google review
More than impressed- this museum outshines any other museums in the area including the Phoenix science one. There's a large free parking lot with accessible spots. Outside, they have some old mining equipment and a fountain. Inside the museum, there's two stories of long stretching hallways- I'd allot 4-5 hours to soak it all in - so much to see! On the first floor, on the right by the gift shop- they have a room on old Arizona road. From there, they have a room on gems (so pretty) and mining and two glass-walled rooms on history in Arizona. In front, there are glass displays of historical Arizona figures, etc. On the second floor, they have a long winding hallways that takes you through UFO and the Phoenix Lights, historic moments in Arizona and wars in Arizona. What's really nice is it's not just ho-hum historical displays. They also have a lot of interpretive exhibits which go above and beyond. For example, they had a few model homes to resemble the era and one part of the exhibit even was themed to a city in the 1900s. Super cool. Price was more than reasonable and there was so much to see. Also, employees were extremely kind and welcoming!

What a wonderful museum! We were visiting Phoenix for the day and decided to stop in. The people that work there were incredibly friendly and had great stories about Arizona that I didn't know. The exhibits were really well done and covered variety of topics. We will plan to come back next time we are in Phoenix!
Sarah E — Google review
Overall a nice experience, but the exhibits are quite dated. It’s very large on the inside and spread over two floors but I felt some of the exhibits could really be updated as you can tell they haven’t been for quite awhile. There was a very large focus on World War II as well. That’s great, but a lot of other museums cover that so I felt it was a bit redundant. I would’ve liked to have seen more about Native American and other parts of Arizona history. Or especially some more recent history within the last 30 years. It’s $15 for adults and $12 for seniors, but I felt that was a little bit high for what you get in return. I could easily see this being a free museum like the Tempe History Museum. At least it should be a donation type of system, $15 was a bit steep for what you get in return. There is plenty of parking out front so that part is very easy. I feel this is especially suited for elementary school kids versus the avid museum visitor.

My sisters, friends, family and I attended our mother’s, Dora Kline Perry and six other amazing women, induction into the Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame. This was a lovely venue with good acoustics and lots of room outside the auditorium for gathering and talking and great catering. And plenty of parking.
Christine P — Google review
A beautiful and popular place for weddings and celebration events! The large outdoor courtyard with access to indoor spaces off each side features a large waterfall as a backdrop to the main event. Yes, it is an amazing museum, but it's more popular for its central location, desert landscaping, and multifunctional event space. The photos here were for the Kids in Focus annual fundraising event, with the Walt Richardson Band, strolling musicians, contortionist, acrobats, large dancing figures, a silent auction (photo after the prizes were claimed), and in the museum lobby were the newest photos by some of the kids, and 8 restaurants brought a delicious food item to share, a nice way to try some yummy dishes. Plan on attending this important event next November, and check out the many scheduled photo exhibits with each child photographer in attendance to sign your photo book and chat with you. Kids in Focus (KIF) is changing young lives! Be part of it!

Arizona Falls is a restored hydroelectric plant and gathering place located in Herberger Park, offering a serene oasis in the heart of Phoenix. Originally built in 1902, this historic waterfall operated for over six decades before being decommissioned in the 1960s. Visitors can enjoy shaded viewing areas, a footbridge, and beautifully landscaped seating spots to relax and take in the scenery. At night, the falls light up for a unique visual experience.
Great place to stop by or travel to on the canal. It was easy to access, free, and not busy at all so I found the space very peaceful. There are places to sit and trash cans at the falls, but otherwise few other services

This place has a safe walking running bike trail, away from traffic.. Friendly community, with people outside walking running riding bikes. I'd say the walking trail is close to four maybe five miles all the way around. Humming birds, bunny's and ducks, and birds are around. There's a park area with tennis court, restrooms and places to sit. Absolutely great place for outdoors with family and friends. Good Job Arizona Falls 🫡

Great stop if you are in the area. I’ve lived in Arizona for 20 years and never stopped by here! It’s cool to learn about the water systems and how the canals create power through SRP. It’s a peaceful place, a great stop if you’re running or hiking along the canal as well. Will be back if I’m ever in the area again.

Interesting visit. We just had a heavy rain storm the day before. The water was brown with turbidity. The falls are neat. And the mechanics of the channels the water can go through are interesting. It's free, and just a quick stop, but worth checking out. Also, there is some good history about the falls.

We went there to check out the falls and hydroelectric power facility. It’s an interesting setup on the canal there in Arcadia, close to Scottsdale. There isn’t really a whole lot to see other than some architectural features by the main falls. Took about. 10 minutes to view the facility and snap some pics. It’s worth the stop if you happen to be in the area, but not really a spot for a specific trip across town.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona, located inside Arizona Mills, is a vibrant amusement center designed for families with children aged 3 to 10. It offers an array of family-friendly exhibits, 4D movies, rides and a fascinating Lego factory tour. The center provides a world of creativity and building fun with themed build and play areas where kids can explore their imaginations using thousands of LEGO bricks.
FIRST TIME VISIT!! Riley at Check in started off our Lego adventure with a very warm welcome and was super sweet to our son! Delanie the master builder took the time to talk to us about their creating process and talk to my son about his interest in her builds and was very sweet and gave him a mini figure! At the end we visited the gift shop, and Mason Took incredibly good care of us and really made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I can’t believe I just said that I had a good time spending a lot of money but sure enough here I am saying that every penny was worth it and then some we really cannot wait to come back!! THANK YOU! This might be our first time visiting but definitely won’t be our last!!
Liam — Google review
I recently visited LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Phoenix with my daughter, and honestly, I was disappointed. The only reason I’m giving it two stars instead of one is because the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. They really tried to make it fun for the kids and were patient and welcoming. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. This place is extremely overpriced for what you get. We paid over \$30 per person expecting a mini amusement park experience, but it felt more like a glorified indoor play area. There are only a couple of small rides, which were okay but not worth the price of admission. After 20 minutes, my kid was already bored — and we had seen and done just about everything. The activities are very limited. A small indoor playground, and a couple of LEGO build stations, there really wasn’t much else to do. It might be okay if tickets were under \$10 or part of a larger entertainment complex, but at full price, it just doesn’t offer enough. Save your money and try something else.
Golchehr N — Google review
A neat place to check out as a family, read more about the 4 stars f your kids love, it’s worth checking out. The inside is bright, colorful, and has something for everyone. The big Lego play structure is always a hit, and the race car station where kids can build and race their own cars is hands down the highlight. There’s also a nice little play area outside the entrance, plus a gift shop with member discounts (10% off), which is a nice perk. Parking is easy if you get close to the door, and once you walk in, LEGOLAND is right on the right-hand side. We also love that there’s a frozen yogurt place right next door with a few non-dairy flavors a fun little add-on treat. That said, there are a few downsides. Some of the attractions are really small, like the little indoor train game where you “zap” zombies (not my favorite). There’s also a mini ride and a mini movie theater, but the attractions sometimes lean a little on the scarier side for younger kids. The hours don’t make a lot of sense no evening hours during the week, which isn’t very helpful for families with school aged kids. Depending on the time of day, there aren’t always many staff around. And if you go during a field trip, it can get really busy, so it’s worth checking online before heading out. Overall though, we’re members, and our kids enjoy it every time we go. It could use more seasonal updates and interactive features, but for a small space, it’s a great place for Lego-loving kids. I’d give it 4 stars.

Went to adult night at the Discovery Center and had a great time. There were build challenges, free play, games, prizes, and more. The employees were super friendly and available for assistance. There is a store attached if you are more interested in shopping for Lego or of you want to grab something afterward. There are bathrooms on site and a café where you can purchase water, coffee, soda, and get snacks.

I didn't realize this was inside the mall. The first couple rooms are really dark, kinda scared my almost 2 year old. The place is small but pretty spacious, fun and cute, had little activity centers for the kids. Has a little coffee and food shop, a really big and clean bathroom. Its a cute experience to do once.
TP S — Google review
I took my four year old son a few days ago. They were having a Halloween special event where you make your own Lego potion. There was only one person working at the table and we waited in line for quite a long time- no problem. When it’s our turn, my four year old who had a stammer (it’s like a stutter but he repeats whole words instead of syllables) was excited. He was being polite and started to talk to the lady. She interrupted him and repeated what he said in a mocking way. He started to say we-we-we want to… and she interrupted and said We-we-we. Extremely rude, mean spirited and hurtful. I was honestly shocked and didn’t say anything at first other than to tell her that he’s just excited and has a stammer. I was able to speak to a manager who said he would talk to the employee. But he didn’t really apologize or offer us a free ticket or anything at all. I didn’t ask for anything I was just very hurt that someone working around kids would be so mean. My kid loves this place so we will probably return, but I really hope that someone in management does something about the young lady who treated us this way. She shouldn’t be interacting with children until she changes her attitude.
Lindsay — Google review
This place was amazing fun for myself and my nearly 5 year old. I would recommend it for families with kids aged 4 to 9. They have a showroom that's interactive with buttons to liven the scenes, Lots of building stations, a playplace type playground, VR, 2 rides and a movie theater. They also sell Starbucks coffee and have a decent cafe. The only lacking section imo was the car building area with ramps that didn't have enough supplies. We spent 4 hours there and my kid still wasn't ready to leave, but it was closing time.

Nestled in Tempe, Rio Salado Park is a stunning transformation of a former industrial site into a vibrant desert river habitat. This expansive park boasts an array of hiking trails and is home to over 200 bird species, making it a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers alike. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as boat rentals, biking, scootering, or simply strolling along the scenic paths that stretch for miles.
The park is on the bike path, a perfect place to run, bike, skate, scooter, for MILES and MILES! Both the North and South side paths are extensive --i rode from TCA to nearly the McClintock bridge on the south path. The path has a dividing line for traffic direction making it easy to pass. Along the way are opportunities to stop and have a break or a picnic, or rent a boat or paddle boat or kayak. Plenty of parking at TCA or at the park. It's just nice playing by the water...in the desert.

This is a nice walk from the Omni hotel at ASU. We walked every day to the lake and around it and back across the bridge. Great views. Never did any of the water activities, it’s a man made lake so the water is “stagnant” I don’t recommend swimming.

My first time to Tempe Town Lake. Got lucky to find a great parking spot I think for a first timer exploring. Brought my bicycle to ride around the lake, which I thought would be too much but I did it anyway. Lots of 🔥 college girls and guys too I guess if that's your thing. Paved trail all the way around. Just a great place to ride or rollerblade. I did fish a little, no bites but, it's really a good size lake I'm impressed, I loved it. There's a marina boat ramp on the north side but that's probably a different review.

Finally got to see water in the desert! Oh, I was working but I definitely snapped some photos, I will be renting a boat or something soon! Yes it's worth seeing, and yes there's an event going on right now so it may be difficult to access, but if you park on the other side and walk the trail you'll be fine!

This park must be a nest for the Bird scooters. There were SO many and it was really fun!! I had avoided renting them before tho I've seen them in every city even my own. The park gave us an open and safe place to try them and we had a ball. My brother ended with a fallout and scuffed elbow which bummered the play but he's a grown man and could deal. The park has a beautiful landscape if you're not looking down into the nasty water. It looks nice from some angles tho. It's quite a nice park with boat rentals and a beautiful walking path along the water. A few homies scattered around but no one was menacing or doing any harm. I'd say this park is super family friendly and a good stop by for some recreation or a picnic if you have a blanket.

Tempe Sports Complex is one of the many parks in Tempe, offering a variety of recreational activities for residents and visitors. The complex features well-maintained soccer fields that are popular for weekend leagues, along with spacious softball fields and a skatepark. Additionally, there is a dog park on the northwest side of the complex, providing amenities such as doggie bags, water fountains, and shaded seating areas.
Players put their paddles in holders along the fence to mark their spot in line. Each new game the next four players rotate in. There are 8 pickleball courts and the lights stay on until 11pm (summer) and 10pm (winter).

Decent size field. Fun dogs. Stays busy enough for my dog to make friends. There is some standing water in the middle of the field that looks deadly. Also, there is a strong smell of urine in many places. I'm sure do to lavlck of rain. I would re-visit.

Great spot in Tempe to get your fix, very nice pickleball courts, friendly crowd. During the hot months it's crowded by 7am! Same a year later, great courts and a wait at sunrise.

This is very nice for a walk. 4, can you open to get home? 👍🏠 Good, uh, workout, lots of athletes come here. 🏃🏽‍♂️🏆 I haven't seen any hobos come here. 🤔 They have a skate ring. ⛸️ They have a really, really big dog park. 🐕‍🦺🐾 They have Tennis court. 🎾 They have so many big fields for Soccer or baseball. ⚽️⚾️ It's really impressive how big it's this location is. 😲 The female spectrum is really clean. ✨ I don't know about the boy's bathroom, my son. 👦 It says it's kind of smelly, so if you have some boys, maybe if you go into the girls restroom, I don't know if they have multiple restrooms, so that might be that the one that I went to is cleaner or dirtier. 🤔 I don't know. 🤷‍♀️ But it's really good, and it's a really good place. 👍 And it's clean and safe. ✅

This is a pretty decent sports complex. I think it needs a little TLC, otherwise it has everything it seems to need to keep us all comfy.

Nice facilities, well maintained for the most part. Gets insanely crowded in the winter at the pickleball courts, but people move pretty quickly and respect the rotation. Good mix of competitive and casual players. I'd recommend going even if you don't have 4 people to play. You can always jump in as a single, double, or pick up a 4th if you only have 3

Nice big park. No big/small dog separation. Some balls laying around but no real toys or obstacles. Nice fencing with double gate at either end. Doggie bags and scoopers. Water fountains with bowls and dog fountains. Benches and one covered Ramada. Trees around perimeter offer good shade. All in all pretty nice!

Papago Golf Club, located in Phoenix, has been a popular choice for golf enthusiasts since 1963. This public 18-hole course is owned by the City of Phoenix and offers a clubhouse bar and grill. The championship course spans over 6,382 to 7,333 yards and provides a fair challenge for golfers of all levels. With stunning desert scenery, water features, and bunkers, Papago Golf Club offers an exceptional golfing experience at great value.
We had a great experience here at Papago. The course was in great shape. They have one of the coolest driving ranges in the area. This is a challenging course that hosts many tournaments at all levels. Find your right tee box and go out to have a great golf experience. Greens while we were there were quite quick especially on the down hill putts. Fairways and tee boxes were in great shape. We will definitely be back again.

All of our guest have raved about Papago golf club since our wedding in May. Papago has amazing views and their food is even better! When first looking at Papago, Lauren was very helpful and went above and beyond to provide us all the information we would need. We enjoyed lunch as a family and everything was fantastic from food to service. Once we decided on them, the process was seamless. There is not enough I can say about this amazing venue. From start to finish everything was amazing. Communication was beyond my expectations, I would call or email Lauren and she always responded in a timely manner. She even came in on her day off to show our family around and go over last minute details to ease my anxiousness. I have dreams about the food. It was so good and I love looking back at our photos and how everyone had an amazing time with how much attention to detail and care of the staff has put in. Thank you so much for making our wedding day amazing, for helping us through the entire process and for being amazing people in general. We are so happy that we found you guys and we cannot wait to come back for lunch and anniversaries! We will definitely look at Papago going forward for any future events.

Very good course within the city of Phoenix. I like the desert courses that are outside the city but this course does provide great views of some of the nearby mountains. The course is well maintained and is a challenging. Tee times were spread out and we finished in just over 3 hours.

This course is a terrific city course. With a Phoenix Golf Card, it is also a great bargain. I was impressed with the condition of the fairways, greens, and bunkers. Host Randy was very helpful.

Papago is a favorite among locals and for good reason. It has a classic layout set against the backdrop of the Papago Buttes, which makes for some really scenic holes. The fairways are wide but the greens can be tricky, so it keeps you on your toes without feeling punishing. It’s also the home course for ASU’s golf teams, so you know the facilities are solid. For the price, the conditions are excellent, and it’s a public course that really plays like something much higher-end.
Cole N — Google review
I really enjoyed my golf experience here. We tee'd off at 6 a.m. and we're able to almost maintain a good pace. The golf carts are quite strict on where you can and can not drive them.
Kraig F — Google review
Staff is very accommodating, from the cart guys to the pro shop and restaurant, super cool and friendly. The course is playing great and is in pretty good shape for a Phoenix summer. Greens were rolling nice and the traps have actual sand in them. Some courses haven’t replaced sand since Covid, there are still “hard” traps in some valley courses. Price for Papago is pretty good, $34 with a Phoenix card included cart. One thing to watch out for at this course, not golf related, the birds! 😂 They picked a granola bar, fully wrapped and unopened, out my cart, opened it up and feasted. 😆😆
Kevin A — Google review
This is a very beautiful course. I was just passing by and played a round here. I really enjoyed the the course. It's certainly a tournament course. The fairways are very well maintained, the greens are nice and it's fast, the sands are white and soft. April was the best time to play in AZ before the 100 degree heat comes in. There's 4 different colored tee box, so it's pretty long. The Carts are very nice and it's got chrome rims. lol. Ice chest on every cart. the staffs will clean your clubs when you return. Awesome service. What's bad: the greens are very fast, very challenging and very tricky to putt. But it's a lot of fun for sure.

Additionally, Ten01 is described as an ideal place to live, offering various amenities such as pools and a gym.

The tenants that live here are dirty and inconsiderate. The pile up of trash that people leave all over the complex is disgusting. The worst part is that management doesn't seem to care or even fix it to keep the buildings clean. The trash cans go all weekend overfilled and piles of garbage around it. People spill food and glass all over the complex and it never gets cleaned properly. There was broken glass in the parking garage for a month before it got cleaned up and there’s still pieces of glass all over. I’ve even picked up nails through ought the garage. Someone dropped an entire meal in the hallway and it sat for days and here are pictures of how it was cleaned, leaving food still on the floor. It smells like rotten food and you have to step around it. Dead roaches are left in the hallways. Are there even cleaners at this complex?

I normally don't write reviews, but I feel like people should know what they're walking into. The girl in the office Aleiyah is unbelievably rude and talks to everyone like she knows it all. For what we pay here for my daughter, the office staff should be respectful and helpful to us. We will not be renewing after this school year.

I lived here for about a year. I had to get my AC replaced within a few months but the maintenance team were quick to get it fixed and any other maintenance issues I had (shout out to Tommy). The area was noisy but that was expected given the majority of the population are ASU students. Overall my only complaint is the gym equipment- several of the treadmills, bikes and yoga mats were broken. Aside from that, I enjoyed my time here. The location is close to stores, restaurants and right on the lake.

There are problems with the apartment design. The public space is connected to the open-air swimming pool, the air conditioner is on uninterruptedly, the public electricity bill is very high, and the tenants also need to pay together.

Recently she was locked out of her apartment at at 11:00pm due to the fact the maintenance never changed the door battery even though she put in a request days prior. Ten01 is a great location and a great price, but has many drawbacks including roaches, car break-ins, homeless people in the pools, and more. Move-in process: The move-in process was a horrible start to living at Ten01. I signed all my papers intending to live with Ten01 over a month prior to my move-in. After I signed the first round of papers, I asked for next steps. I got no answer. I asked again the following week. No answer. I followed up probably three times to make sure I had everything ready for move-in, all with no answer. Then a day before my move-in, I got a call from Ten01 saying I was missing a whole bunch of stuff such as utilities, we needed to pass a background check, etc. All stuff I had been asking about for the month leading up to move-in. I had to leave work and scramble to get these things all completed prior to my Saturday move-in. It was a very chaotic start to moving-in. The communication leading up to move-in was horrible. Once we moved in, they only had one key for the unit, not even one for their maintenance team. So we were tasked with making copies of the key so that we had two, and then one more for maintenance. Security: We saw very clearly homeless people using the pool on several occasions. The property is not very secure, so they just walk in to the pools and use the pool and hot tubs. Furthermore on security of the complex, my wife’s car was broken into in the garage and somebody rummaged through everything in her glove box and threw it all over the ground of the car. General cleanliness/roaches: The whole complex is not very clean. If you walk outside, prepare to walk through clouds of gnats. Additionally, most of the outside smells like dog pee. We had a really bad roach problem in our unit. We were very cleanly: no food was ever left out and our trash was always taken out. So it was clearly a building issue. We saw as many as 5 roaches in a week once. We eventually got premium pest control services from Ten01, but that in itself was another ordeal. The premium treatment required very intensive prep of removing everything from closets and drawers and moving all the furniture away from walls. The prep took hours and once it was prepped, staying in the unit was pretty impractical until treatment was complete since everything was boxed up and moved for the most part. We scheduled it for a Tuesday, and had the unit ready for the treatment. We went to the front desk that Tuesday to ask when we could expect it be completed, and the front desk told us they had no record of our treatment being scheduled. Luckily after a long discussion, we got through to pest control and he serviced our apartment. Water issues: On several occasions we lost water services for prolonged up to 12+ hour periods of time. Water was often unavailable for longer than their predicted outage as well. Gym: The gym was one of the redeeming qualities of the complex, but even the gym was not without fault. The gym was well stocked with weight equipment and cardio equipment. The weight equipment was great, but half the cardio equipment did not work for the entirety of our lease. 1 of the 2 elliptical machines worked. Maybe 3ish of the 5 treadmills worked. 1 of the 2 arc trainers worked. None of the three peloton workout bikes worked. Location: The location was great. That is the one five star quality of the property. You’re right next to the 202 and walking distance from Tempe town lake, and even a scooter ride from Mill Ave. Price: There is a big range in prices for units. You can definitely get a really good deal on a one bedroom — especially considering the location. But just beware of everything outlined above and more.

Played here in 24, attended a short game clinic in 25. The golf is fun. The off course amenities weren't much after opening in 24. With the bar area, food trucks, outdoor seating with gas firepits, Grass Clippings makes for an enjoyable non golf venue. But, of course, playing the golf is tremendous fun!

I was hesitant to try this place out but WOW, what an incredible experience! A few important things to know: Last driving range balls are sold at 10:30 After 6/7pm it's a par 3 course only Military discount is 50%!! Some friends and I played the front 9 starting at 10:55 and got in 8 holes. We were taking our time and had an incredible experience. The tee boxes and greens are in surprisingly fantastic condition! Note: the carts are very GPS/geo controlled and you cannot drive on almost any fairway so be prepared to walk a bit

I recently attended the Grass Clippings Golf Tournament at Rolling Hills Golf Club in Tempe as a spectator, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. A big thank you to **Gila River Casino** for generously providing the VIP suite tickets—they truly made the day unforgettable! Rolling Hills is a fantastic course, offering both beauty and challenge at every hole. Even as a spectator, I was captivated by the stunning views and the exciting competition unfolding across the fairways. The course was in impeccable condition, and it was a pleasure to watch the players navigate such a well-maintained layout. The event itself was seamless and incredibly enjoyable. The staff and volunteers were helpful and friendly, making the entire experience run smoothly from start to finish. As a VIP suite holder, I had the chance to watch the action up close from a comfortable, elevated perspective. The suite was stocked drinks, and it was a perfect place to relax and take in all the excitement. The social aspect of the tournament was another highlight. The energy was lively and fun, with everyone in great spirits, whether they were cheering for the players or enjoying the great company. It was easy to see that the event was designed to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved, and the VIP experience definitely enhanced that. Once again, a huge thanks to **Gila River Casino** for making this such a memorable day. If you get the chance to attend next year, I highly recommend it—whether you’re playing or spectating, you’ll be in for an amazing time!

Over priced and practice area issues all the time. This use to be a fun AFFORDABLE course, but under the new management. Higher prices and subpar facility. For instance during the summer, they had a range pass for $39.95 a month. Fine for June, but after that closures for weeks at a time, while still being billed. When the driving range finally opened again, now they want $69.95 a month. Don't fall for the night golf gimmick. You are not getting 18 holes and areas are limited to lighting, but you sure are paying for something. They need to read the crowd. Their prices are worse than Encanto 18 and Dobson, which if you have golfed in the Valley, know both those places are crazy busy and FUN!

The staff was amazingly accommodating for our group of 6. Merch is awesome, the course was great and filled with people just there to have a great time. This place is a very clean and beautiful park. There are park Rangers that do come around and also a police officer too but he parks and watches just to make sure everybody is safe and civil. The lake is pretty clean to me and there are fishes in it too mostly baby ones. There is a dog park, picnic areas, shade from the sun, and kids playground.
Catrina O — Google review
The park overall has a slightly sketchy vibe, but with security and rangers present, it feels safe during the day. I won't be coming here at night. The picnic shelter, sandwiched between the pond and the road, seems to be inhabited by long-term park residents, resulting in food items and garbage scattered around, which can attract curious dogs on the way to the bark park. Despite these drawbacks, I still feel secure, and the view from the dog park area is exceptional! See.attached videos. One downside is the prevalence of uncollected dog waste, Overall, it's a solid park with two separate dog areas hillside. Great views!

It was awesome to do yoga and see the dogs walking by with their owners and the dog park was not super loud and there were some really cool dogs! Great place for pets they have a large amount of empty grass area to run on leash of course, and a gated area specifically for dogs that can play together off leash with water fountain that accommodate pets and sturdy mini trash bags for pet mess. Has small playground and swings for kids and 1 Ramada and a few benches. I have seen security several times on patrols and picking up trash keeping park clean and safe. No restrooms though. Not too many shaded areas unless you go under a tree, which there are several around the edge of park.

If you enjoy skateboarding this is the place. Just remember in the summertime especially to have water for yourself

It was a really clean nice park. Someone was sleeping on one of the benches on the far side. But my kids played on the play ground was perfect for small children. Nice grass area and plenty of tables to sit at. Also a really nice skate area and didn't see any restrooms.
Breanna R — Google review
Bowl is surrounded by dirt and trees for the wind to fill it with slippery dust and debris. The park is just a bowl, no real flat space. Transitions are all small and tight. Almost the whole park is painted to hide graffiti so everything is slippery, and if it hasn't been painted it's covered in cracked patching that's chipped off and created an even worse surface.
Merlin O — Google review
Alright, my kids like this park. I didn’t like it all that much. I’d really rate it a 2.5. Pros: splash pad, plenty of picnic tables, two baby swings and a tire swing. cute play structure. Low traffic park. Skatepark. Open grass area and sidewalk around to walk. Gate around park. Cons: Park has no public bathroom, park didn’t feel very clean, parking was not super available. The deck to the splash pad is slick and my toddler kept smacking his head slipping. Lastly, the park has sand, which in combination of the kids being wet from the splash pad it was the worst.

Hanger Park, located in the Warner Ranch neighborhood, is a family-friendly park with amenities for sports enthusiasts and picnic lovers. The park features two playgrounds with various play equipment such as jungle gyms, swing sets, and a tire swing. Additionally, there are ramadas situated between the playgrounds. While parking is limited to street parking and a small lot nearby, visitors can enjoy soccer fields, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, and ample shade at the park.
Hanger park has a great play ground, a basketball court, and a fun path for walking or rolling along on wheels or tires. There is a large grassy field where we had soccer practice (it really needs to be mowed as of August 2022). The parking is limited and really just along the street, but overall it's a great park.
Jayne R — Google review
Very nice park in a basin. That pretty much isolates us from Knox Rd. Parking is essentially on the street. No restrooms. There is a tiny parking lot that can only handle a few cars. My unfounded guess if you are a lot to the park stopping there would avoid having the long walk into the basin. There is one of the two soccer fields close by. The other is on the middle of a relatively wide park. Good lit basket all court. Good sand volleyball court. Large playground. Lots of shade. Handicapped parking spot is on the street which a long walk down the fenced sidewalk and then a difficult push to get back up. The park was not busy but more people than I have seen at a majority of other parks. It still was probably 1% occupied. The two soccer areas are basic and the pitch not good. Shade trees a very good. The city of Tempe has a lot of good parks and this is one of them.
PERSOP — Google review
Hangers park has two soccer fields, a sand volleyball court, playground for kids (5 and up I would say) , and they have recycling bins/trash cans. There aren’t any restrooms near by or at the park. They usually have soccer practice at one of the soccer fields. I give them 4 stars because they do not have restrooms. Great neighborhood surrounding the park. Adult supervision recommended due to the playground area.
Hannah B — Google review
For this park, there is no off-street parking and I did see no parking signs along both sides of the curb. You can park in the elementary school lot and then just cross the street. There is no sidewalk in the actual park, but you can still get your cardio in by running on the soccer field and the hills that go down to it. A few laps on that will get you a good workout. Downside though is watch out for those random dirt mounds-- not sure if anthills.. For sports lovers, besides the soccer field, there's also a basketball court with 2 nets and a volleyball court. It's nice how the sports areas are spread apart so you don't have to worry about balls flying astray and you can play in peace. There is an access-friendly ramp that you can take down to the park that connects directly to the play area, or you can just walk down the grassy slopes. The playground is not much too look up but it has a lot of slides to play on... Overall decent park.

Wonderful place for families, and friends to meet and BBQ 2 big playgrounds with jungle Jim's for 2 separate age groups (toddlers & school agers) basketball court, soccer field, and volleyball court! There are big grassy fields surrounding the BBQ / table areas.. there are also cement and dirt pathways around the park itself... Tucked into the Warner Ranch housing development, and horse properties - it's a beautiful quiet and friendly community

Good park with lots of room to play and decent shade from trees. There is a main playground for bigger kids and a separate area for littler kids. The majority of the play area is sand. There are fun, hand-operated, digging machines to dig in the sand. However, make sure to empty the little one's shoes before getting in the car or going home because that sand gets everywhere.
Matt H — Google review
Fun place to play basketball or bring the children to play on the large jungle gym. Also a volleyball court and two soccer/football fields. The steep incline when walking into or out of the park is great for doing hill sprints for athletes that want to do conditioning. I do not recommend biking down into the park as it is really steep and there are metal rails on either side near the bottom so if you veer off or lose control you will get hurt. Biggest downside is that there is no restroom available and the fields are often taken up by sports practices at night.

We really like this community park. Much of the history of the park comes from the Hanger family. They owned a dairy here in the area until 1973 when they moved it to Chandler. The roots of their family tree run deep in Tempe and Chandler. I always love seeing kids (mine included) running and playing in this park. Basketball, a large playground and huge open spaces for all to enjoy.

Dwight Park, formerly known as Diamond Park, is a popular four-acre park in Tempe. Renamed in 1988 to honor former Tempe City Councilman Joseph Dwight, the park offers various amenities for public enjoyment. The park features rubber padding to prevent injuries from falls and a sun cover for protection against the heat.
Great park, though it's sad that degenerates damage and deface things that are for public enjoyment. The rubber padding is fantastic, it'll help stop a lot of injuries from falling. Like lost parks, there's a great sun cover to protect from the heat. Very good swings and equipment. Lots of easy accessibility.

The food is described as delicious and reasonably priced, with a T-rex burger being a standout item on the menu. The overall theme of the restaurant adds to the enjoyment of the visit, making it an appealing choice for those looking for a fun and tasty dining experience.
Awesome Dinosaur Food!! Hahaha... Great nice service! Not dry just right! Delicious Food! 😋

I would give zero stars if I could. The fries are usually so good but today it wasn’t. The fries were cold and the sauce that they put on made it even worse. So when I told the guy that the food was cold, he said that’s how it comes. Well now my boyfriend got food poisoning and we wouldn’t recommend eating here. I’m never coming back.

The Arizona State University Desert Arboretum Park is a 2.5-acre botanical garden located on the university campus. The park features a diverse collection of desert plants and also includes an amphitheater and dining area for visitors to enjoy. This unique park provides an opportunity for students, faculty, and members of the community to explore and learn about the rich variety of plant life in the desert ecosystem.
While visiting Tempe I wanted to see a large cactus and the ASU Arboretum was a great option and free!
Ian Z — Google review
Poor excuse for a arboretum, especially for a university. Less than an acre of plants. Most id. tags were missing or unreadable. The tags that were there provided little information. Lots of dead plants. Not worth the effort to go, even though admission is free. If you do go, don't pay for more than a hour of parking.
Victor M — Google review
This is not an arboretum. It’s a small outdoor events center with a handful of cactus and plants on the sides located at the ASU campus, which this review is NOT about. I’ve seen more plants in front of many private homes in this area. Google map is misleading.

City park offering athletic fields, a playground, a dog run, a community center & a parking lot.
This park has a great history of folks getting to get her on Tuesdays to advocate and outreach the homeless population. They serve dinner, have tents with supplies and toiletries as well as items that are supplied to replenish necessary supplies. The Venus Forward and Back Orbit route will get you right to the park or the regular Metro Bus, depending on your preference! They also have a small splash pad over on the east side of the park that my son just adores!
Rae H — Google review
Cute little park, has a tire swing, fire truck relaxing little spot
Dulce Q — Google review
The playground is great. I counted 13 slides total. Foam paths too. The splash pad is good but it's all concrete and so it's slippery. My kid slipped once. Additionally, it's quite sandy from the playground and the wind brings in leaves and so it's not the most comfortable to walk upon barefooted. I won't come back to the splash pad without water shoes.
Charlie B — Google review
Park is in a nice area and park however it can use some maintenance attention and cleaning; the playground is full of cigarette butts, socks hanging from the tree, splash pad barely has water coming out, one of the water spouts is covered with bees, pet beds at the picnic tables.
Elizabeth C — Google review
Calm dog park. No one is there whenever I go, with few exceptions. Could use more shade since there's no grass. It's well-shaded in the morning due to trees on one side. There's some cement curbing for seemingly no reason and can burn dogs' feet in the summertime. The drinking fountain for dogs is surrounded by cement and in the sun as well. It's not a bad park though, just some hasty design.

31Mitchell Dog Park

Dog park
We had a great time at Mitchell Park and enjoyed the brand new playground!! Thanks to the Tempe residents who supported the parks and recreation bond, who made this update possible! One thing is I would like them to have the restrooms open to the public. Usually they seem to be closed. It may be because the school is run separately.
Eileen B — Google review
This dog park has potential although a few items of concern: Lots of owners are forgetting to pick up after their dogs! See pics for more info. When we were there, two HUGE, known aggressive breed dogs were cut loose in the park...running loose and not necessarily acting friendly... they were acting aggressive. Owners not worried about possible issues whatsoever. So we picked up our two 3 pound puppies and left with a bad taste.
Jonathan S — Google review
Mitchell Dog Park has potential, but there are a few concerns that made our visit less than ideal. First, many owners aren’t picking up after their dogs, which makes the area feel neglected. More importantly, there were several large, aggressive dogs running loose and acting unfriendly. I witnessed two separate incidents where dogs snapped at others, and the owners didn’t seem concerned at all. That’s when I decided it was best for me and my service pup to leave. Another issue is the lack of separation between large and small breeds. A few smaller dogs were unintentionally trampled, it's hard to avoid when all sizes are mixed together in an open space. I really wish more local dog parks were more than just fenced-in dirt plots. With some better maintenance, clearer rules, and designated areas for different dog sizes, this place could really shine.
Amanda — Google review
Great dog park. It's pretty small area compared to other dog pakrks we've visited but plenty of space for dogs to run around and get tired. Its only one area for small & big dogs. A couple of trees and benches for shade.
Alejandro C — Google review
Great dog park - huge spread out space, well maintained green turf, couple of picnic tables for seating, lots of trees for shade, one garbage can in the corner of the park. The water fountain needs maintenance and doesn’t work except one facet on the side for dogs. No drinking water for humans though. Bunch of friendly dogs and humans! Overall nice park.
Abhradeep S — Google review
Kudos on this one! Ample room for dogs to really run and explore - as well as ample parking. It is always fairly clean and even has some chairs and shaded areas. People and their furry friends are also very nice from our experience there.

It's a small park that has both a playground and one single fence dog park. I wish Tempe had a dog park where there are more than 10 fenced dog park areas. I adopted a rescue. Cute dog but aggressive with other male dogs and him being an Australian Shepherd mix I wouldn't mind a place for him too to run around too.

The Tempe.police have rented houses in Svob park and are protecting the construction projects with drones. We've had construction projects here for 10 years. Tempe built two gondolas to shade the homeless so now they're living here too. Now Svob park has the highest crime rate in the county.
Joshua B — Google review
The park it self it great. The homeless people leaving their trash, Crack pipes, needles and empty liquor bottles are the problem. There has been a influx of homeless people coming to this park for about 3/4 weeks. There are multiple bus stops at this park as well as kids playing football, and ALOT of people walking their dogs or just trying to enjoy a nice walk. I caught a homeless person looking into my front windows, I chased him off. I had another doing meth on the hood of my vehicle, I chased him off and multiple instances of smoking pot at a public park (which is illegal) I urge other residents to call the police every time you see a homeless camp starting to be set up...before it's gets really out of control.

It's an okay park. Pros -It has a nice open grassy area for running around and playing soccer. -The park area was clean and free of litter. -The playground has 2 roofed sections tot play in- filled with swing sets, tube and open aired slides, seesaws, and monkey bars. Cons -It was hard to find the parking area to get closest access to the playground. The first time around, I did street parking that faced the grassy field, and it appeared that I had to traverse the field to reach the playgrounds at the other end.
A Z — Google review
i personally love this park, i just wish they had a dog park in our neighborhood! an area where dogs can be off leash. A ton of people are always at the park and it would be really nice to not have to wait for people to leave to let my dog play! also i’m in LOVE with the new construction they are working on. i have a husky and i always have wanted a safe large pathway where i can run him in the mornings and my dream came true! it’s still not finished yet but once it’s done i’m gonna use it every single day. i also love how bright the park is at night. also the park should add more water fountains throughout the park and for dogs! they only have one water fountain for adults, children and dogs next to the playground. this park is amazing but could be better if added a separate dog area since the park is 9 acres. but overall a family friendly park!!

Now, if anyone from the city it reading, please put more street lights up in that neighborhood! Half of my street is dark, looks like the bad side of the tracks.

Very nice basketball court with lighting. One Ramada plus cement and metal picnic tables. Grills. Decent amount of park benches. Very clean. Well maintained. No restrooms. A great magical park accessible by a pedestrian bridge over the 60. Grandkids love it. We park on the North side of the 60 on College and walk up and over the bridge to descend down into the park. The play ground is excellent, all kinds of shaded bridges and teeter totters, spinning kinds of things, swings, etc. all on a really cushy base so if you fall, you'll just bounce back up. Zero bathrooms though. That's probably why reviews say the place smells like pee. I mean: what do you do when a 3 year old has to potty? Tempe really needs to consider adding a bathroom here.

This is a lovely little community park. I enjoy walking my dogs here. There's a baseball field, where you can watch people play and practice. There is also a simple basketball court, where people shoot around. Pick-up games are a rarity here. Lastly, the playground was updated a couple of years back, and is still in great condition. Overall, this is a well utilized, clean, community park.

This place is amazing!!! Wow, the playground selection for children is expansive and they have it grouped by age group so I knew what area was right for the kid I was with or if I needed to be more attentive since it was above her age group - super helpful since I was nanny for a child and wasn't sure if she could handle certain structures. I had fun with her and she ran off all her energy and went home to crash out. Definitely recommend.

Hollis Park is a neighborhood park featuring softball and soccer fields, basketball courts, BBQ grills, and a playground. The park has mature shade trees and a long history, but the irrigation for the soccer area is not optimal. Some visitors have noted that the grass feels dry and there are homeless individuals who camp out in the seating area during the day. However, others appreciate the clean environment, new playground equipment for kids, dog run area, and variety of activities available at the park.
Wide variety is different things for the kids to explore. There are restrooms that can be used and a basketball court as well

Decent park we live in the neighborhood so we bring our dogs here to run around and play, the grass is meh very straw like/hay feel. There is a poop bag station which is nice, a play area for kids, but tons of homeless people park up here with carts and luggage and camp out all day where the seating area is, they don’t cause any trouble but makes me nervous at night

Wednesday around noon, park not usable. Inundated with water and mud. Asked around and heard this happens weekly. Told usually Thursdays but found it like this on a Wednesday. Hope this can be helpful to others looking for a grassy place for small children to run. Will try again sometime on a different day.

Trashed, can't use areas due to residents. Could be a very good park. Returned for the third time today, 05/29/22 and changed stars from two to four. I was able to appreciate a beautiful medium sized park. Today positives far outweigh the negatives. Also the park appears to have a long history. The shade trees are mature and mostly healthy. Irrigating is not the best but probably the only option. It does nothing for the area used for playing soccer. It was a nice experience seeing a number of parents walking to the park playground and then walking home with their young children. One parent on a swing with very young child on his lap.

Campbell Park is a lovely spot to visit, especially after grabbing some delicious food from a nearby restaurant. It features a playground with an excavator-like digger toy that kids will enjoy playing with. The park offers ample space for picnicking and relaxation, making it an ideal stop during a road trip. While the mention of a haunted sewage tunnel may give some visitors pause, the park is generally well-maintained and provides a clean neighborhood playground experience with plenty of shade from the trees.

Medium to small sized park. Is older park that has been well maintained. Last month, April 2022, the City of Tempe, was asking for park user's input on the future of this park. I took picture of sign. The playground is well maintained and clean. Decent single sand volleyball court. Two soccer goal. Pitch is not good. If you have thoughts on this park it appears Tempe would appreciate your input.

From my first visit here, I would say I didn't find the park too appealing. There is no off-street parking. Coming into the park, there's a sidewalk that leads to the playground and field area... There wasn't much to see. I don't remember seeing any restrooms/ fountains; they did have an outhouse by the sidewalk facing the street Walking toward the playground, there was a picnic ramada area so that was nice. I also saw some concrete picnic tables- maybe not comfy to sit on, but they were kept clean. Playground itself is unimpressive... outdated feel and drab colors.
A Z — Google review
Middle digger in playground was inoperable and broken. Appears to be a safety hazard. Tire swing came needs reinforcement as it detached as my daughter was getting on it. Missing (non-infant) swing needs replacing. Otherwise everything else was ordinary.
Julie C — Google review
Clean little neighborhood playground with a large field and shady trees. There's a zipline, but no swings. Lots of space to set a blanket down for a picnic.
Jacqueline S — Google review
be careful... the sewage tunnel is haunted, there's faint sounds of man who got trapped in the tunnel a few years ago and never came out... but otherwise great park!

39Evelyn Hallman Park

Park
Evelyn Hallman Park is a serene oasis in the desert, offering a variety of activities for visitors. The park features trails and sidewalks suitable for hiking, biking, or leisurely strolls. It boasts picturesque ponds ideal for fishing and bird-watching opportunities. Additionally, the park provides a covered picnic area and clean restrooms for visitors' convenience. With its peaceful ambiance and diverse natural scenery, Evelyn Hallman Park is an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking tranquility amidst nature's beauty.
Great place to hang out or walk your dog. Trails and sidewalks to hike, bike, or just walk. There are a couple of ponds, both good for fishing. The canal is really close, so you can also include that in your trip. We brought a lunch and ate under the covered picnic area. Restrooms are available and clean.
Greg S — Google review
I am here several days a week. I start on the Crosscut Canal path in Old Town Scottsdale and ride the 5+ miles to Hallman Park. With its slight elevation sunrises here are often time spectacular and are a reward for waking so early to get in my ride before the Sun hits me with the full force we see in the desert. The park has its moments if traffic. But never overwhelming as there are two choices for paths. One paved one not. The paths are on opposite sides of the canal with bridges every so often. I love coming here.
Steve S — Google review
An oasis in the desert! Lovely place to take a calm and peaceful walk around the duck pond. Plenty of bird-watching to be had here. Bike trails are full of friendly and cautious bikers. For each rule the park has, there are at least two signs for it throughout the park.

One of my favorite parks and I happen to live next to. There are plenty of interesting things to see as you adventure around Evelyn Hallman Park. Does anyone know what these concrete blocks are or represent?
Trent G — Google review
I love how quiet it is with several areas of vegetation along the waters edge to just sit and take nature into my being . My mind just calms
Patricia H — Google review
Nice pond for fishing, but not much else to do here except walk. You can access the south end of Papago Park and the backside of the zoo. In the evenings, you can hear the animals crying out for dinner a well as the early mornings.

I love this park and come here all the time. However today I stumbled across these turtles that were killed. Are you that nasty you're just wandering around smashing turtle shells??
Jordan E — Google review
They keep cutting down all the trees and bushes. Looks sparse now 😭

Park
Moeur Park is a lovely green space with shade structures, lush grass, and stunning views of downtown Tempe. The park features a variety of animals and offers pleasant walking paths. Despite some issues with homeless activity, the park remains a relaxing and enjoyable place to visit. It also hosts meals on Saturdays and boasts historical significance. Visitors can enjoy peaceful hiking trails that provide an immersive natural experience within the city limits.
Love the hiking trails so beautiful best place to feel like you're in the middle of nature while still being in the city
Damien-Michael F — Google review
A little run down by homeless people activity but otherwise a really nice park. Shade structures, green grass, views of downtown Tempe and a nice variety of animals at sunset on the adjoining trails
Damon T — Google review
Its a cool old historical park. Unfortunately, the homeless are destroying it. Looks the city is getting ready to persevere it this year.
Robert V — Google review
Chill spot to walk around. Not busy when I went but I could see it getting packed.
Mikaj Y — Google review
Years back I came here and the park accross the road. Both are not as they were. This one was the filthiest trash filled small park. Today except for some trash it is 90% improved. Today I walked around the park and it has a lot of picnic table, ramadas, grilling area. It is an upper level with the parking lot and a lower level at Curry Rd. and Mill Ave.
PERSOP — Google review
It's a wonderful park to walk around or sit & eat. Lots of trees & paths. Very relaxing & pleasant in many ways. Go check it out you will be glad you did!
Carron J — Google review
Very nice and quiet park. Some homeless but they stay to themselves. Nice place to park and just chill in or out of the car.
Lisa W — Google review
It's a good park over the bridge from downtown tempe. There's usually a decent amount of homeless people lately ,during covid, but they are everywhere now a days so know that but it's a nice park.

41Gaicki Park

Park
Cool park, ELS recently conducted some upgrades, hope you guys like it.
Timothy B — Google review
A small park with a large field suitable for a family gathering, lawn games, a soccer game or walking the dogs. There is a covered Ramada off a small parking lot that has three picnic tables. Each could sit about six people. They are molded into the floor so they cannot be moved. if you are seeking a secluded getaway you need to continue looking because the small park is very quaint but it is very close to McClintock Drive
Donna P — Google review
Gaicki Park really isn’t much of a park—it’s more of a greenbelt. I’ve noticed some places label greenbelts as parks, and this seems like one of those cases. That said, my dog and I did have fun running up and down the greenbelt, so we made the most of it. There is a small covered area with seating where I saw a couple of people having lunch, which was a nice touch. It’s located behind some office buildings, so it might be a decent, quiet spot for a lunch break if you work nearby. Just be careful driving there—if you blink, you’ll miss it. It’s literally just a green strip tucked between a community turn-in and some office buildings. Not much of a park, but a functional little green space.
Amanda — Google review
It's an okay park, but it was a bit hard to find/ hidden when driving. The best way to get to it is from McClintock and then on the side of the road, there is off-street parking which is nice. The lot is a bit small and can only fit about 20-30 cars I'd guesstimate. There's not much to see at this park. There's no playground or sidewalk to walk on. There are only 3 ramadas with picnic tables and a soccer field (which was can be a bit flooded after it rains). The good thing though is with no obstructions, you have a whole grassy area to run around and play soccer!
A Z — Google review
It's an ok park. The grass is dead a lot in the summer the ground isn't very level lots of holes and dips. When the grass has been fed water the ground get mucky and you have flooding in some areas. It's got a water fountain to drink from and picnic tables and soccer goals handy cap accessable.
Kylie M — Google review
Small park. Soccer Field. Ramada with one park resident. Parking on Northside. Some shade trees.Very clean. No seating. There are a lot of young trees that will later offer shade.

Park
Birchett Park is a charming and historically significant green space in Tempe. Visitors appreciate its tranquil and cozy atmosphere, making it a delightful place to spend time. Despite occasional issues with homelessness, many people find it to be a beautiful and enjoyable destination worth revisiting.
Love this park. Honestly this quiet cozy lil park is truly a piece of Tempe history. I hope many more people are able to experience it.
Joe B — Google review
I saw this park in the list of Tempe parks online and was hoping to take a closer look. When I got there, I saw no parking lot, not even off-street parking. Along the street next to the park, there were signs saying "Reserved Parking" only. Also, there was a lot of constructions nearby as well which made it harder to access. From what I saw as I drove by, there was nothing to see. There was just a patch of grass with no playgrounds, basketball courts, zilch.
A Z — Google review
It's a weird park surrounded by roads. It's not super accessible and I've never seen anyone use it. Kinda cool, kinda useless though.
Andrew B — Google review

43Rotary Park

Park
I grew up in this neighborhood and the new residents have really taken a lot of pride in their houses. It's quiet, safe, and rotary Park is the center point. It's a great little park that's never too crowded since it's off the beaten path. Definitely has room for a little four on four football or shooting hoops or just kicking back and relaxing.
Bob M — Google review
I’ve only visited the park once. It was the final daddy-daughter day before I had to put my beloved pup down. We went in the evening and we were able to spend some quiet time walking around, smelling everything, and crying.
Christian H — Google review
Pros -There are some red picnic tables scattered through the park, and they are shaded by trees. -The park comes with a playground and basketball court with 6 hoops! -The playground has a fun set of "uneven" monkey bars and a shaky balance beam. Cons -Size wise, it's small. There's not much sidewalk to walk around in the park. -There's no off the street parking, so you'll just have to park on the street.
A Z — Google review
Great park but people here are unfriendly and rude. I'm not coming back. So, no need to describe the amenities. Going back to Cole Park.
