Nice hotel, I had a top floor room and it was very big. Its very close to the sea front but far enough that it's quiet at night. Breakfast was continental which was included, it was actually really nice and filling, the coffee was great. .would definitely stay again. Plus I left my tablet in the room, they kindly posted it to my house.

As I understand it the hotel is very good with excellent rooms and good food, there is a patisserie/coffee shop attached to the hotel, in fact it is part of it and managed by the hotel staff. Personally I only use it as a bar. It has an garden at the back of the hotel. It has just employed a new manager, Stewart, who previously managed Churchill's in Ramsgate. Dogs are very welcome, there always free dog snacks on the bar. All the staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

My Bad.. nice warm day spotted what looked like a pub, doors open, parked up, found chairs across the doorway with a very strong reaction from the table of peeps inside saying we are shut.. end of lunch time pint - found The Artillery a few steps down the road very hospitable..
I W — Google review
The room was spacious and comfortable. However the (very small) TV wasn't working properly - no BBC channels were available and some others, like ITV, were just breaking up. No one was available to help resolve this, even though it was a Saturday night. The bathroom was very nice, but the shower is quite wimpy, and the overhead shower just didn't really deliver. There were tea and coffee facilities, but these were rudimentary - no herbal teas or decaf sachets. Most annoying was that my booking stated 'breakfast included', but the info pack in the room said only 'continental breakfast included', and I would have needed to pay a considerable upgrade to get anything cooked - this was just frankly misleading. At £145 for the night the whole experience fell rather short of expectations.
Jonathan D — Google review
We stayed at the hotel for 1 night. The rooms are perfect but it definitely needs air conditioner. The breakfast was so poor which was included in the price. As the hotel is 183 GBP per night, we would expect a proper breakfast without paying extra. Thanks
Ipek M — Google review
We stayed for an extended weekend, whilst visiting friends. It was perfectly located for meeting friends close to the marina, as well as friends, in the Chapel Street part of town. It was actually a 2 x bed apartment, plus a roof terrace, with breakfast available from the Falstaff! It was perfect and the British weather was also on point! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Everything was very good except breakfast.Especially, the room and bathroom were very spacious and very clean. I would prefer air conditioning instead of a fan. Also, the only thing missing would be a mini fridge.

Nestled in Ramsgate, Smugglers Retreat Table Table is a stylish chain pub that offers an extensive menu filled with classic international favorites, grilled dishes, and mouth-watering burgers. A standout on the menu is the Big Stack Burger, which has become a house favorite among diners. For dessert lovers, options like Sticky Toffee Pudding and Triple Chocolate Brownie are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Today Lauren was our waitress and as usual the greatest service with a smile. She knows exactly what me and my daughter are going to order every time and always accommodates for my daughter. She makes us feel extremely comfortable and relaxed whatever time we come for food. Brilliant experience and will come back soon x

Awful service won't be going again. Took 15 minutes to get a jug of water and had to walk up to the bar to request it, bearing in mind, the 'restaurant' was nearly empty. When we got our water, there was a lipstick stain on the glass, so we had to wait another 5 minutes to get a new glass. Food then took 40 minutes to come out and was just above warm but somehow still burnt. We also got over charged as the staff member put our order in the wrong. Overall the staff member cared more about drinking her Lucozade than serving food.

These places are an enigma. The staff are great but the place is always tired looking. But thats what you get if you compete on price. The weird thing is checking into a double room to hear you only get one keycard . Me having to leave the room and my partner still in the room preparing to go to sleep . Who gets the card? She can either stay in the dark or had to get up to let me back in . Photos are from the adjoining bar . Again, great staff but tired furniture .

We (party of 3) called in on a Sunday evening without a booking ( don’t forget to register your vehicle) and were seated by the friendly waitress straight away, she took our drinks order and left us to look and the very extensive menu, the starters arrived quickly and were delicious, the main courses were the same, the waitress checked all was ok which it was. Decided to use the toilet before we left and that’s where it unravelled somewhat, the Gents was totally out of service so used the disabled toilet only to find about 25mm of water all over the floor which I had to paddle through to use the facility. I am sure that this will be sorted quickly and hopefully others won’t have this problem.

There was a group of us for family birthday. There was no Turkey for the carvery so 2 of us an alternative. We all paid separately but then the man stopped us at the door saying 2 meals had not been paid so 1 of us paid it only to find out they charged us for 2 carvery we didnt eat plus the 2 Turkey alternative. The man was very rude would not check receipts and said not their problem. Will never go there again
Deborah N — Google review
Arrived at 4pm for carvery there was no gammon a very small piece of fatty beef that the chef managed to get 2 small pieces of beef off it and then there was a dish filled with water and with thick processed turkey floating in it the water was lukewarm I asked what the heck it was and the chef! said it was how to keep it from drying out, I said they were advertising carved turkey and that turkey clearly was not carved any I had tiny slice as did my granddaughter we had small bite and spat it out it was awful tough cold and tasteless, my daughter had a few slices that were taken from dish dripping in water and plonked on her plate sadly she ate 2 slices and has been sick all day with bad tummy, we are reporting to food safety, I would be really careful if you have booked Christmas dinner here. We were given a reduction on the bill
Lynn — Google review
Visited with neighbours for a special event. We were treated very indivdually which made our visit a great success. Cannot speak highly enough about the service we experienced.
Kim M — Google review
We waited half an hour (when the place was practically empty) to receive an overcooked burger with a feeble salad. We also had gammon steak. That was okay but I'm not keen on grey cold peas. When we were asked if everything was okay, I said that it was one of the worst meals that I've had. The response was that we should have said earlier (we didn't want to wait). They didn't seem that bothered frankly. The waiting staff then all disappeared into the kitchen and we had to wait to pay. It was a £40 bill. Two main dishes and two glasses of wine. Overpriced, poor quality food. We definitely won't be going there again

The Royal Albion Hotel is a charming seafront hotel located in the quaint seaside town of Broadstairs. The elegant rooms, some with balconies, offer stunning views of Viking Bay. This 21-bedroom property has a rich history and was once a regular haunt for Charles Dickens. The hotel features terrace dining with picturesque views and is situated in the middle of town, making it convenient for exploring the area.
I had a lovely roast dinner today with my family on table 28 and was so impressed with the man who explained the setup to me who took my order and brought drinks to our table and the 2 men who served our food. What fantastic staff you have, polite and very helpful. Roast dinners were fantastic. Thank you for making our day great!
Danny — Google review
I have mixed feelings about The Royal Albion Hotel; initially I was so annoyed to be left waiting to be checked in as there was no front of house to be seen. I and my two teen boys had walked from Margate and were soaking wet from a sudden rainstorm so standing there with our soggy backpacks was no fun I can tell you. A lovely chap, who looked to be doing some work there, was trying to find the receptionists for us, he checked the back office (I wouldn’t mind if they had been there as at least then they’re reachable), the restaurant, he tried to call them (no joy), he asked if the restaurant worker could do it, he phoned them again…a lady finally turned up, all smiles which I wasn’t really in the mood for and then our room was on the top floor, no lift. I have terrible knees and it really was hard-going on them. I found the reception team kinda unfriendly, though the lady working there this morning was nice. I will just list the negatives, I do appreciate it’s an old building - not much counter top space to put things, the shower was too short for my son to fit under, the beds are hard and a triple room is not three beds it’s a single and small double which I had to share with my other son as it was less hard than the single. The tv controller did not work so we had to put the telly on using the telly buttons which brought up subtitles so we just put Smooth Radio on for the extent of our stay, yeah the boys loved that. The fan is super loud. I couldn’t work out how to use the coffee pod thing ( there are Instructions but I couldn’t follow them). The positives - location is great, we didn’t have a sea view but was glad about that as we got to see a flock of bright green parakeets on the opposite buildings each morning. Access to beach no problem. A lovely variety of toiletries in the bathroom with ample towels and a good assortment of beverages at the tea station. There is a bag drop off which is appreciated and which we made use of. The catering staff are fab; particularly the chap who hosted, he had put a reserved placard on our table this morning so we could sit in the same place as the day before and remembered what drinks we’d had. He and the team there are superb, the breakfast menu was excellent and the food very good, a nice selection of continental too. Also wi-fi is very good, no issues. We did enjoy our stay despite the ups and downs and, if ever in Broadstairs again, would stay again.
T C — Google review
This was a surprisingly great experience. Our family sized room was large. We had a coffee machine and pads inside the room. The breakfast is excellent - you can choose your main dish from a menu. A small buffet is available as well. Location is excellent. Wonderful walking options and beautiful beaches nearby. Highly recommend!
Anna — Google review
Location, location, location. On a sunny day you want to be on the Royal Albion’s terrace, having a cold beer overlooking the sea. It’s got a fairly generic though not unpleasant modern pub look and the beer selection could be more exciting but it’s the view that makes this a winner. Apparently Charles Dickens used to live here, I’m sure in summer it was indeed the best of times.
Richard W — Google review
Review of terrace restaurant not the hotel. Overlooking the child friendly sandy beach on the raised promenade Good staff, easy to order pub style food. Generous portions ceasar salad certainly big enough for two to share and both be happy. Good local beers available Good lunch h reasonably priced
Barry B — Google review
We stayed for one night and I wasn’t sure what to expect based on previous reviews. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was lovely and went out of their way to help make our experience a delight. Breakfast was amazing - one of the best I’ve had in a hotel recently - and dinner was also good. Our room was quite hot but they’d done their best to open windows and provided two fans. It was a heatwave so I can’t imagine it’s always like that. Unfortunately my daughter left her stuffed toy in the room when we left and when we went back later to enquire it was nowhere to be found. We returned home to find someone had taken the care to post it to us. She was delighted and its small touches like that which really show the staff care.
Francesca W — Google review
Very average hotel, geared to trying to tempt passerbys in to eat and drink average food. Breakfast terrible, cheap ingredients, cooked and presented badly. Waiting staff were lovely, bar staff appeared bored. Location is spot on and a sea view saves this from a worse review. Will not return.

The pub offers a diverse menu for various occasions and has a family-friendly atmosphere with breakfast options available. Its outside terrace provides an ideal spot to savor beach views and soak up the summer sun.
I booked dinner for a table of 6 and a dog on a Saturday evening. We were welcomed into a private room. The food was delicious, the service was perfect and they welcomed my Maltese with open arms! I cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re ever in Ramsgate and looking for a gastronomic experience, you should check this place out!

Simple menu, simple, clean and cozy ambiance. The food is beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The starters came very quickly but you never felt rushed.

What an amazing evening! Great food, great company and atmosphere. We were very lucky to be here on a night with live entertainment, Red the singer, she was absolutely phenomenal and set the mood. The good was so delicious. Yum yum yum.
Mikey C — Google review
The food was good. We had the Sunday roast. Apart from the food, we found it to be a confused experience. We arrived and were left standing at the entrance for 5 minutes, with the staff catching our eye as they walked past. After we just walked in and up to one of them, we were then showed to our booked table. It wasn't busy, still a few tables empty. Drinks order went straight in, then a good 10 minute wait for them, food order went in and that was about 20 mins so not too bad. The reason for the 3 stars is the welcome was not great and the noise level was almost too much at points. The music was turned up so everyone was starting to shout at their own tables making the whole experience more like a bar than a place to eat. We did ask for it to be turned down a bit, but it didn't seem to change. So if you're going for drinks and a light meal with friends, it's probably the right vibe. If youre going for a family lunch or dinner, I would give it a miss.
J B — Google review
Amazing food, made too feel very welcomed by Luke and the chef Adam really out did himself. Would definitely recommend and return.
Abby K — Google review
Popped in for brunch on Sunday and despite being one of only five tables, the service was incredibly slow and inattentive with staff simply not present for most of our visit. That being said, the food was good quality when it arrived and we enjoyed our meal.
Steven G — Google review
Thank you James for your impeccable service and attention to detail. Food was very tasty and impeccably timed (thanks again James!) so we could enjoy the beautiful view from the Georgian rooms. There were only 2 slight improvements that I would suggest: 1) the treacle tart was not treacly enough 2) the after dinner coffees were a bit too bitter, but this was all overshadowed by the outstanding service and beautiful environment!
Hannah N — Google review
Luke the bartender is fire. His cocktails are innovative and actually good. We had the Stiracha Margarita…Bro!!!!!! Perfect place. Music is on point and so is the service and food.

The cafe offers a variety of options for vegans, including salads and a mouthwatering hot dog. They also provide soya or oat milk for hot drinks and have an enticing selection of milkshakes that can be made vegan as well.
Lovely place with some amazing food. They have quite a few vegan/ vegetarian dishes. Loved their Vegan hotdog. Other half loved his pulled pork bun. Belgium dark hot chocolate was yumm too. The sitting outside was full during the Saturday lunch time rush but had plenty of empty tables upstairs/ indoor seating space.

Absolutely love this place. Always our go to when we're in Margate. Great delicious food, friendly service and love the outdoor seating area on a sunny day. The Nachos alone is enough for 2 as a sharing lunch and there's a good variety on the menu. Keep coming back here as the food and service is always consistently good.

Such a great spot in the heart of Margate! The Greedy Cow has a lovely relaxed vibe, perfect for a sunny breakfast or brunch. We had flat whites and their breakfast brioche buns with egg, bacon, and sausage – absolutely delicious! Fresh, generous portions and everything tasted homemade and high quality. The cherry tomatoes on the side were a nice touch too. Service was friendly, coffee was smooth and well made, and the outdoor seating area is ideal for people-watching or soaking up the sun. Would definitely come back. Highly recommend for a chill morning in Margate!

Went for Saturday breakfast. Was very tasty, though they only do breakfast baps, not whole meals as such. Was very busy and we couldn’t get a table outside, so sat upstairs, which wasn’t as nice. Good coffee!

Just had drinks and a cake. Iced coffee was nice - only non-diary option is oat milk. Had the brownie which was delicious. Quick service inside and they bring your order out to you. Lovely setting in the square and ample bench/table seating.

Their hearty breakfast options cater to various preferences, including the indulgent Hangover breakfast and the wholesome Vegan breakfast.
Great little spot for breakfast / brunch!! I visit Margate once a year for work and come here for a hearty seaside brunch every time. The location is great, right on the beachfront - and the food is also fantastic. On a hot day it can be quite exposed to the sun so would recommend bringing plenty of sunscreen!

It's a fantastic spot right on Margate beach with stunning views! The Bus Café is set in a vintage double-decker bus, with outdoor seating and tables on the upper deck, while the kitchen is downstairs. It's a popular place, so booking is recommended—we arrived without one but luckily found a table which was available for 45 minutes and was perfect for a quick breakfast. The food was delicious! My partner loved the Posh Breakfast, and my salmon crumpet was delicious. We also tried crumpets with chocolate, which were a nice treat. Portions were a bit too small. The drinks were okay—my tea was good, but my partner wasn’t too keen on his coffee. Service was excellent, with a friendly and bubbly waitress who made us feel welcome. Overall, it was a nice experience with tasty food and an interesting setting.
Rosi P — Google review
It was a real pleasure to eat at the bus café. I have Coeliac Disease, and I was surprised at how safe and delicious my gluten free breakfast was. They have a separate, dedicated gluten free area in the kitchen and so many gluten free options. The gluten free bread was so good I actually had to check it was gluten free, and the bacon was perfect. The bus café itself is a really lovely setting, and it was great to be able to look out at the slightly windy beach from the safety of the bus. I would go out of my way to visit here again.

Well, this is different!...great character café to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, and you can't help but smile as you sip your tea and gaze out of the window across the sandy beach. All aboard for something out of the ordinary!

The breakfast is absolutely delicious here, and the setting is delightful. The staff were super nice, but the service was quite slow. We were seating for a long while before receiving menus. I will say that the place was busy and the staff were probably doing their best.

Love getting breakfast here when I’m Margate. So nice to be down by the sea and even sitting outside the area is sheltered meaning no wind. Food and tea has always been great. I think they may be the most perfect hashbrowns I’ve ever had. Service always super friendly! A must go when in Margate.

Great food and really good awareness of allergies. Pretty much every dish can be made gf as they have gluten free bread and their Sausages are gluten free. When I said I needed gf, they asked if it was an intolerance or coeliac disease, when I said coeliac disease, they were unphased and it was so problem. Super high quality ingredients and great vibes

We chose this place because its name sounds humorous. The waitress was very helpful, and nice and with a great vibe. The place is interesting and decorated with lots of funny details on the walls and ceiling. The food was tasty and quite cheap and the atmosphere was chill and relaxed. Whether you're indulging in their exquisite eight-course tasting menu paired with a fine Chablis or enjoying a simple yet delicious breakfast, this venue offers something for everyone. The atmosphere is inviting and dog-friendly, making it perfect for leisurely mornings outside.
Great spot for breakfast. Had excellent coffee and the bigger breakfast was excellent, great fresh ingredients, well cooked (scrambled eggs were better than my homemade ones). Friendly team, dog friendly and a lovely location overlooking the marina. Well worth a visit!

Firstly, £7 for a pint of lager SHANDY!? Secondly, if you're going to have an open view kitchen, perhaps your chef and server shouldn't be eating the cheese and grapes that will become part of your Ploughman's lunch moments later without washing their hands in between eating and food prep. Food hygiene seems like an afterthought, and avoiding cross-contamination doesn't even factor at this eatery. I wouldn't recommend this place to be honest.
Hannah G — Google review
We stopped by this bar just for a quick drink and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The drinks menu was available, but there were no prices listed anywhere, which felt quite misleading. When we got the bill, we were charged £24 for two Aperol Spritz, which tasted extremely weak and watery — definitely not worth it. It felt like the price was just made up on the spot. While we were sitting inside, enjoying our drinks (or trying to), we had a clear view into the open-plan kitchen through a window. One of the chefs was preparing food – assembling salads and handling ingredients – while continuously vaping. She held an e-cigarette in her left hand the entire time and was smoking it as she worked, without ever putting it down. The fact that this was happening in full view of customers and no one on staff seemed to care was honestly shocking. It gave the impression that this kind of behavior was completely normal there. We only came for drinks, and even that didn’t go well. After what we saw, we definitely wouldn’t consider eating here. Not recommended.

Nice enough place if you want a late night drink. The manager was very friendly and welcoming, as were the rest of the staff. Interesting mix of clientele but busy most nights of the week. Didn't try the food or use the place during the day, so I can't comment on these parts.

I came in and the lady working was drunk I was shocked she ignored me when I came in I asked for a drink she just listed a price without showing me how much it really was, I ordered a pornstar martini and it had no alcohol when it was meant too and she spilled it on me and didn’t even apologise just wiped it with her hand… this is definitely not a place for anyone

The night manager is rude and aggressive. Such a shame as the bar is very nice and the clientele are great. She's letting the place down.

Shared a platter with 2 friends. Plenty of food for the 3 of us. Good value and super fresh. Was lovely. We sat outside overlooking the harbour. The lady who served us was really good, attentive and helpful.

Had a private event here recently and it was amazing. The personal service was second to none. The venue was spotless. The staff were so helpful and polite as well as really swift. Everybody commented how it was such a beautiful setting as well. The balance of inside and outside seating is perfect as well. I had about 100 people over the course of about 5 hours in the day and it went without any issue at all. I can’t recommend enough. Great pancakes too!

I had a Belgian Hot choc here and it was absolutely beautiful and the nicest I have ever tasted!! We had a toasted sandwich which was delicious and served with salad, balsamic and tortilla crisps. The service was excellent and very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I cannot wait to go back. Beautiful views of the harbour.

Came here as a group of three on a sunny Sunday morning to nurse a hangover. We ordered two of the bacon & avocado bagels - these did noy disappoint with delicious creamy avo with some crispy bacon on top. We also ordered a sausage sandwich on granary bread. This wasn't your usual greasy sandwich so if youre looking for that, go elsewhere, however was lovely sausages and a filling little sandwich. The drinks were the only thing that let it down. One of my party ordered the ices dark chocolate which was a bit flavourless. However the regular coffees were decent.

This place is highly recommended for its outstanding brunch and great coffee. The atmosphere is lovely, with friendly staff and a chill vibe overlooking the sea. The food is simple, delicious, and made with fresh ingredients. Dishes like nduja fried eggs and ham hock toastie with homemade ketchup are particularly noteworthy. Despite being busy at times, the quick turnaround ensures a pleasant dining experience. Whether you're a visitor or local, this spot comes highly praised for its fantastic food and coffee.
We visited Fort Cafe while staying in the area and loved it. The coffee was amazing, we even bought their house blend to take home. The French toast was fresh and delicious, and the lemon mascarpone with sugary pretzels was divine. The nduja egg was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Friendly service, not overbearing. Highly recommend!

Food had a good portion for the prices! And we’re very flavorful, some of which were quite unique / not ur usual toasts Service is bumped down simply because it felt like they were rushing to get us out at times (clearing our table rlly quickly, asking if we wanted anything else).

I’d read some great reviews about the Korean Chicken Sandwich, so I was looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet expectations for me. At £17, nearly £20 with service charge I was hoping for something a bit more special. It was quite greasy, and I found it lacking in flavour and any real Korean identity. There wasn’t a garnish or anything alongside it, which made it feel a little incomplete. I did finish it (mainly because of the price), but I regretted that later as it left me feeling quite heavy and sluggish—perhaps due to the amount of oil used. That said, the venue itself is cosy and the staff were nice. This was the most expensive sandwich I’ve ever purchased, and it just didn’t hit the mark for me, though others may enjoy it.
Louis D — Google review
A great little place, with delicious sandwiches. I had the Korean fried chicken foccacia, while my partner had the crispy aubergine one - both really good, with great generous portions. Only complaint is how crowded it gets (it's not a huge place) with tables close together - but that's just a sign of how justifiably popular it is!
Alan M — Google review
Nice coffee and great food. We love the food and enjoy our meal very much.

The coffee was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The chicken sandwich had nice flavours but the bread could’ve been fresher and the chicken was fried a little thick.

The hotel was very good. The rooms were well-insulated and clean. I did not face any problems with the services. However, I noticed a slight delay in response. Some of the furniture was new and others were very used, but it was very clean.
ا ر — Google review
My first impression was that this hotel is tired, outdated, and in serious need of investment. Entry is only possible by ringing a bell, which already sets a poor tone. The reception area consists of creaking wooden floorboards, and the gentleman who handed us our key seemed entirely uninterested in welcoming guests. We were told, quite abruptly, that there is no breakfast service and that a function with loud music would be taking place. The room itself was extremely basic, with mismatched coat hangers left on a rail. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, the shower never reached a hot temperature, and no flannels were provided, making even a simple wash difficult. When I attempted to request some, I discovered that staff are not present on-site—you have to ring someone to attend, which is unacceptable for a functioning hotel. Overall, the service was poor, the standards were low, and the experience was deeply disappointing. I would strongly advise against staying here
Timothy B — Google review
Great location, with nice views, artwork and friendly staff. Rooms were small but nicely decorated (ok for a night or two but lacked amenities for longer stays). Although plenty of car parks close by, they were not particularly secure (no reflection on the hotel).
Julie B — Google review
Loved our stay at this shabby chic, sea view hotel. The designers have a great eye for style as the walls are covered in beautiful artworks and rustic furniture. I recently visited with my girlfriend and managed to book one of the first floor rooms overlooking the pretty marina and out to sea. The balcony was a lovely touch where we had our morning coffee and could watch the town wake up. We checked out the other rooms whilst housekeeping were cleaning and all rooms at the front seemed to also have wonderful views out. The house is Georgian so best to book a room on the ground floor if you are not a big fan of steps though. Our room was really lovely and clean which is the most important thing for me personally. We went out for dinner and were stunned by an Italian place on the harbour front called Porto Reale. The Italian family who run it were so friendly and the Neapolitan food was really excellent. A great stay, would highly recommend.
Arif H — Google review
Pros: - Good location - 15. Has a harbour view - Comfortable bed , nice linen , good pillows. - House keeper was pleasant. - Subjective selection of art for sale - nice space downstairs Cons We arrived early hoping to drop of gear and go to town- BUT You cannot enter nor check in pre 4pm. So don’t arrive early! Then out by 10am - the norm would be 11.30am No convenient parking. This hotel has a Laura Ashley eclectic vibe. Some have said shabby chic, subjective as to what you describe as chic. Many reception room with no purpose. I feel owners are focus on own wants and perception rather than customer needs , no shelves , cupboard space , hooks , no friendly check in. We travelled up on motorcycles on a hot weekend fully kitted up, we would have loved to explored more today , but had too much kit to carry around , we felt we couldn’t have left it there for the day and returned to change later! As no one man’s the desk to let you in out of hours. It’s not that I wouldn’t recommend TRHH but this is such a competitive market, and other guest houses are moving with customer demands. If we ever return to Ramsgate I’m staying at the Felstaff around the corner , despite no sea view.

We always go here when visiting Broadstairs. Great spot for coffee, brunch on toast and sweet bakery goods. Very welcoming staff, great atmosphere, delicious tomato or perhaps sweet sriracha sauce on bacon and eggs toast. Good vegetarian options available. Best breakfast spot in town by far. Great coffee and brunch options And their pastries are to die for. Service is really good and very pleasant.
Julia L — Google review
Had breakfast here with my husband and our baby. Staff are friendly and happy, I ordered the Turkish eggs and a crossiant, my husband got the Nduja eggs and a cookie, and we both got a flat white. First of all it's not so baby friendly there, they have a downstairs area which has a few tables but it's really dark and not to nice to sit there, or they have a bar area with stools which isn't so great with a baby, finally there are benches outside which are literally on the road. We ended up sitting at the bar area and as our food arrived we came to understand that Nudja basically means Chillies. My husbands dish was coating in them and chilli oil, my Turkish eggs also came with chilli oil. We were a little surprised as the menu points out Vegan dishes but nothing to state that dishes are spicy.. we ended up leaving a pot of it. The cookie also tasted very raw. However the croissant was very nice. We have also just seen our payment notification on my mobile and it seems we paid £39 for everything. So either we were overcharged or this breakfast is one of the most expensive in Broadstairs. Very disappointed.

22 of us went for a bottomless brunch. Where do I start From the moment we arrived the waitress introduced herself and got us all seated , from then on she couldn’t have done more. She served everyone quickly and all the team and her were so friendly. Atmosphere was fantastic and we went for the cowgirls afternoon so lots of great music. Cocktails were amazing, and strong. I moved to Ramsgate four years ago, Union became my life line, my yoga improved massively so much so that I did the yoga teacher training with Amie. The cafe not only sells the best coffee but has proven to be an amazing community space, with a book club which helps people in a similar position to make friends. After yoga on a Friday morning there is a Philosophy group where we discuss the yoga sutras and how they can make us a better person. I have literally made all of my friends in this wonderful space.

A real gem in the heart of Ramsgate. A truly welcoming and inclusive yoga studio. The yoga teachers make sure classes are suitably challenging but also accessible to all, providing guidance in the use of props and adjustments. There are classes for all. This inclusivity is reflected in the wide range of us, with varying yoga experiences, who turn up with a smile on our faces. If you want to try yoga or enjoy practising with others this is the place for you!

I came to Ramsgate for a funeral so searched for vegan options on the Happy Cow app. This is how I found your cafe. I'm so thankful that natural vegan food is available in a seaside town. I'm from Southend-on-Sea where vegan options are available but mostly fake-meat so not great. I really wanted to eat here more but was limited by time and obligations. The way you added ferments, seeds and shoots to the dhal just elevated it. Although white flour, the sourdough was a good alternative. A wonderful uplifting meal. Thank you ❤️

Nestled atop Ramsgate's East Cliff, Albion House Ramsgate is a chic boutique hotel that boasts stunning sea views and a delightful dining experience. Just a short stroll from the sandy beach, this historic Regency townhouse has ties to Princess Victoria, who once recuperated here. The hotel's Little Victoria room offers a glimpse into its storied past while modern amenities ensure comfort for today's guests.
We live not too far away from Ramsgate but like staying the night there every so often as we love the old architecture and the beach and the surrounding areas. We have visited the Albion House Hotel several times for drinks and lunch but this was the first time we have stayed as a room was available at the last minute when we decided to go again for the night to Ramsgate. The hotel is in a fantastic location and we love the history and the decor of the building. The only room available was one at the top of the building which was a bit of a climb but we had a lovely sea view and while it was small it was sufficient for us on this occasion. The bathroom was surprisingly large. The only downside I would say is the general lighting in the room (not enough to read by for instance). The manager/main receptionist helped with the general lighting in the room by bringing a standard lamp up several flights of stairs! We also felt the lighting in the restaurant was a bit too dark. We like ambient lighting but I did have a bit of trouble seeing my food and asked for an extra candle. We had dinner and breakfast both of which were delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We shall definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay at Albion; interesting history of building and update. The room was super comfortable, terrific bed and bedding, great bathroom, shower, tub. View is terrific! Great location for walking to town and cycling (we arrived on our tandem bicycle.) This site says free breakfast included, but breakfast was not included. There are many places walking distance for any type of meal. Thank you Dasha and everyone for your friendly send off.

A really lovely stay. Staff are very friendly. The hotel has the most astonishing views (photos taken from the suite balcony) and the best cocktail menu in Ramsgate! It’s rare for us that a hotel is more than just a place to stay, but the Albion was absolutely at the heart of our holiday. We certainly hope to be back again some day!

Stayed here one night with friends and had a great time - staff and service were excellent, and the room comfy with a proper bath. We ate in the restaurant and the food was first class - nice simple menu and the dishes well executed. I had the steak and for once a decent size and thickness well seared and pink in the middle - delicious. Breakfast included was a full English - so for the money absolutely no issues at all. Give it a go!

Location is good, just near the beach. Well connected with the loop bus to the nearest railway station Ramsgate. Breakfast is so so , not many options available. 2nd floor sea facing rooms available but there is no lift. This is very old building newly decorated. Bathroom was big. Since there was no lift it is difficult to carry your suitcase. Sometimes staff there may help you, but not always. Quite hotel, you can enjoy sea view from the room.

We have stayed at Albion House now for many years as part of an annual golf tournament which takes place at the nearby Championship Golf Courses. We are a group of 11-14 Gents and each year we are looked after exceptionally well by Dasha and the team. We can't thank you enough for all you do for us each year. We have two fantastic dinners in the restaurant over the week and this year the food was the best yet. We love the private room in the lounge area also to be able to relax and watch the Masters. in the evenings. The bedrooms work perfectly for our group and all are spacious and always kept clean each day. Thank you Dasha and the Albion House team for everything you all do to make our week as perfect as possible and we cant wait to continue to visit over the coming years. Thank you, Jonny Rafferty, Mike Jones & The Old Bradfieldian Golf Team.

Nice hotel, good decor and great views but let down by poor, slow service Need to employ more staff and give better training. Would agree with the other review which mentioned slightly sarcastic service which felt like we were an inconvenience. Breakfast took 90 minutes to arrive, when it did it was ok but the eggs weren't great.

A nice hotel but it has gone downhill since the change of ownership. Service is quite unfriendly and borderline sarcastic. It used to be a warm and welcoming place but now it feels like you're just inconveniencing the staff. I won't bother staying here again, even though it's been a favourite hotel over the years.

Salt Broadstairs is a small, cozy cafe located on the high street that offers a unique dining experience. Instead of a structured menu, it focuses on Small Plates designed for sharing, similar to British Tapas. The cafe has a lovely community feel and offers excellent food and service. Customers can enjoy delightful breakfast options like yogurt granola and espresso or indulge in cake and coffee. The atmosphere is described as super cozy and chill with fair prices and quick service.
Came here for brunch. It was busy but luckily there was a table free for the four of us. You order and pay at the til. The staff were all really lovely and answered any questions we had. I ordered a caramel latte and a smoked salmon bagel (no alcohol i know!) Ut came to 13.50 which i thought was quite reasonable. My friends had.... A chai latte and a cinnamon bun A hot chocolate and the vitamin sea acai bowl A cappuccino and a black olive and sun dried tomato scone. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. The facilities were nice and clean and the service great if a little slow, but as I said it was quite busy.

In the early days we could always guarantee being able to buy excellent, fresh vegan food here plus other items - it was a brilliant source of community during Covid. The food is fresh and appetizing and the cafe is a quiet place to sit and relax, with a good atmosphere. It’s always has and will remain a firm favourite place of ours to eat.

What a little gem. Enjoyed a very good green smoothie and soy latte while getting some laptop time before the train. A great spot for remote work or catch up with a friend. Doggo friendly.

I ordered the “Energise” juice (£7) and a butter croissant (£3 – overpriced for very small size). I feel ripped off. I was unsure if I should even drink the juice. It was prepared entirely with bare hands – no gloves, no handwash beforehand. The person handling it touched all the juice cubes thoroughly while chopping them. There was absolutely no hygiene standard in place.

Tasty coffee and super friendly staff! The place is dog-friendly which is a big plus, and the decoration is really nice and cozy. I had a panini which was delicious, and their cakes looked amazing too—I’ll definitely try one next time. They also have a few tables outside, which is great if you’re a smoker or just enjoy sitting outdoors. A lovely spot overall!

British restaurant
Toby Carvery Thanet is a delightful family-friendly restaurant nestled in the heart of Kent, England. Known for its inviting carvery-style dining, it serves up an array of succulent roast meats that are sure to please every palate. The menu also features options for kids and classic desserts that evoke nostalgia. Guests can enjoy a variety of cuisines from around the world, making it a versatile spot for any occasion.
Hi, we took the advantage of Toby’s promotion of only £6 for the buffet. We had the buffet with two Diet Cokes. We were served by Harvey who i understand only started yesterday. Harvey was very polite and friendly and thought served us both very well. Thank you Harvey!! But most importantly, the food!! I thought and i only had the Turkey which was lovely and moist. The roast potatoes were excellent. The parsnips were nice and sweet. All the other vegetables were very nice and hot as well. We were both very pleased. To be honest we both had seconds of vegetables!! I haven’t done that for years!! We have also booked for Boxing Day afternoon of 3 courses.

Lorraine was our Waitress yesterday afternoon and she was polite, welcoming, cheerful and attentive. Unfortunately, that was not the welcome we re eived when we arrived from whom I guess was the Manager! To be fair, it was most probably the worst welcome we have had at any eatery. In fact, it did not feel like a wel one but that we were somewhat of an inconvenience to him! Sadly, this is where the service mark lost stars. A clear issue with his customer service training it woukd appear. He literally pointed to our table, no communication at all, not even to tell us the name of our Waitress. We had prebooked and expected to be seated in the restaurant, not in the bar area which was both noisy and cold! However, we were not asked if this was ok, as is normally the case, nor did we feel that asking to move would be received well by the person who pointed to our seats! The food was excellent with a really good choice of meats and vegetables on offer, but this was at 1610 before the restaurant would become a lot busier. Hence why we chose to dine at that time. We often go to this Carvery and we could not fault the food or waitress, but the attitude of the member of staff upon arrival and the bar area seating really did let it down this time.
Janey K — Google review
It was particularly busy as there was apparently a main meal deal on. However, our table service waitress (Shelley) was above and beyond with her attentiveness. She checked everything was ok during our meal a couple of times. She told about a couple of menu issues so we had an informed choice. Even though the restaurant was very busy, She helped us sort out our App so we could save the money for the deal. She was very pleasant and on the ball with her job
Robert H — Google review
Very slow service, had to wait 15 minutes to be acknowledged by a member of staff to take drinks order, then a further 10 minutes for drinks. The veg had seen better days, or at least a stir. Tables sticky. The disabled toilet was awful, toilet blocked, bin over flowing, dirty nappies on floor and the door can be opened by another disabled radar key while your sat on the toilet.
Witchywoman666 — Google review
If I could leave 0 stars I would, the reviews on Lorraine are fascinating, Ive seen she’s praised on being friendly and welcoming, all l witnessed was a woman who couldn’t fathom holding a conversation with anyone, let alone a smile. When we came in and were sat at our table, all we could notice is how all staff looked beyond miserable to be there. We were asked instantly by Lorraine before we even sat down if we wanted any drinks, to which there was no menu so we asked her “what soft drinks have you got”. To which she looked up from her iPad, assuming it has the whole menu infront of her, and replied “we’ve not got any so tell me what you want and I’ll tell you if we’ve got it”. Once we ordered I caught the end of a conversation with another table where they had complained the food was freezing cold. To which she replied “that’s not possible because it was all put out fresh when you came in” as well as “if you don’t tell me about this how do you expect me to fix it”. Literally 0 customer service or solution other than coming back to said table 2 minutes later and said “I’ve spoke to the manager and got them to probe it because everything has to be a specific temperature” and then walked off. I’m aware it is a toby carvery and you get what you pay for, I do not disagree that it is good value for money, we were four adults and paid £40. But it would be nice to see some reflection of this value in staff interaction, quality of food and overall atmosphere in the restaurant. Every interaction we had with staff, even though small amounts, was awkward and uncomfortable. Whether you are eating at The Ivy or eating at your local McDonald’s the staff make it.

I had the carvery (lamb) and a Guinness zero and enjoyed both. Good portion sizes. Reasonably priced. Friendly and attentive staff. Cosy environment. Free parking on site. Overall: a great evening meal and I would visit again

Lorraine was our waitress for our visit to Toby Cavery, she was so welcoming and friendly. The roast beef was lovely, and the roast potatoes were so crispy and just the way I love them. The cauliflower cheese was a bit too soft for me but everything else was enjoyable.

For a Sunday lunch, very nice, tasty meats and a good selection of vegetables. Lorraine was our server and she is always cheerful and makes sure we know of any offers coming up.

The Royal Victoria Pavilion, a popular Wetherspoons pub located in Ramsgate, boasts the largest beer garden among all Wetherspoons establishments in the UK. Positioned right by the beach and harbor, this venue offers breathtaking views that cannot be matched. It is known for its affordable prices and traditional pub atmosphere, with numerous branches scattered across the country. The architectural design reminiscent of the 1940s adds to its charm even on gloomy days.
It was a great surprise to get into the pavilion converted into a beautiful restaurant with a really nice decoration and amazing space. We walked all around before to take a seat so it was difficult to choose as we could be outside with sea views or city views and inside up or downstairs, extraordinary!! Very good service and food.

Excellent experience. The value for money is outstanding — both the beer and the food were delicious and reasonably priced. The venue is beautiful, spacious, and has a truly special atmosphere. Its seafront location makes it a truly iconic spot. Enjoying a meal or a pint with that sea view is a real treat. I would happily come back a thousand times. Thank you, Royal Victoria Pavilion - JD Wetherspoon!

Seat yourself. Order with QR or at bar & they serve to your table. Nice ocean view, lots of tables! Pasta Alfredo was very good. Onion rings & coleslaw rocked. Fried chicken yum. Burger & fries- not that great. Servers are pleasant.

Good prices for decent food. We had two 8" pizzas and chips with curry for 15 pounds. Self serve tea and coffee was good. Beautiful view of the beach and sea.
Janetbplanet T — Google review
Good value food for the price. Toilets available inside. Lots of seating areas, even when busy. Inside and out. There is a lift near the entrance if required to the lower or upper floor level for wheelchair access. Easy to order, at the bar, or with the app. A nice beach and sea view if you able to get the seats and tables. Can be quite dull on the interior ground floor area if you require light to see. Staff are always very polite and willing to please.

Great location in Ramsgate overlooking the sea front and harbour.. Plenty of scenic outdoor seating and lots more inside. Usual Wetherspoons menu. Fast service and great prices.

3 small plants for £14.99 are a bargain (May 25). The chicken wings were fabulous. Unfortunately, the Shawarmer chicken topped chips were undercooked, and the sauce made them feel unpleasant. The 2 real ales tried were in excellent condition. Bar staff masticating gum with gusto is not the best look.

Delicious English breakfast, an overall nice atmosphere and interior which feels like being in a old ship. It's in a great location by the marina and was pleasant visiting at Christmas with the lights/decorations.

Really enjoyed our breakfast at this unique ‘greasy spoon’ cafe. I got the vegan feast and added hash browns. I was very happy with what we got for the price we paid. And they didn’t charge extra for plant milk in my coffee! All the breakfast components were tasty, especially the mushrooms, the service was quick and staff friendly and welcoming. This is a lovely location with lots of character. The cafe is inside an arch and is long & thin inside, so space is a little limited - not a problem at all for us as we opted to sit outside and enjoy the harbour views - but worth noting for larger groups. That said it was reasonably busy when we visited but didn’t feel claustrophobic and noise levels were ok inside, and outside there was no real noise. It was warm but quite a windy day, the location was fairly sheltered so it was really pleasant.

This place is so incredibly special to me, and my visit recently didn't disappoint. My grandparents Bill and Wendy used to run Ship Shape, a long time ago. The Viking Ship Cafe is a delightful spot that truly captures the essence of a hidden gem. Nestled near stunning views and just a short stroll from the iconic white cliffs, this charming cafe offers an inviting atmosphere with friendly staff ready to serve you. Open from April to October, it may look modest on the outside, but don’t let appearances fool you—the food here is exceptional! From freshly made sausage rolls to an array of well-priced drinks and delectable ice creams, there’s something for everyone.
This cafe must be a gold mine! Located at a lovely view site with a short walk to the white cliffs this cafe and it's friendly staff offer a selection of well priced foods, drinks, ice creams and sundaes. It was fairly busy but it's ruin like a week pulled machine. Definately a great stop for a quick bite. It is located in a field with ablution facilities but not wheelchair friendly. I think it's aimed more as a cyclist stop.

Let’s hope it is run has smoothly as previous lovely owners . We have been back several times love what you made of the cafe and outdoor. The Hive is a charming independently run cafe and bakery that offers a delightful array of freshly made brunch, lunches, cakes, and coffees. The menu features a nice selection of choices in a clean and friendly atmosphere. Visitors have enjoyed the simple yet tasty appetizers and the impressive eight-course tasting menu with options like eel & egg dish served in the shell and three Whitstable Oysters beautifully presented. The service has been praised as excellent, with the lovely owner Karina adding to the warm hospitality.
We sat downstairs which was nice and peaceful. The place was busy and the waiter was apologetic about a delay. We hadn't noticed a delay. Service was perfectly prompt. We had the smaller breakfast with tea. We loved it. The hash browns were a particular highlight as was the fact you get an actual pot of tea each (my wife went for a green tea I think). Perfect place for an English breakfast. We will definitely be back.

There are many good things I can say about this place. At the top of the list is the super-friendly host. She will make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The interior itself is very cozy, with some space downstairs as well. I was here on a quiet day, but I can imagine this place buzzing with energy when full. As for the food, I had the best English breakfast I've had in the UK here. The ingredients were of good quality and cooked to perfection. It definitely filled me up. The cakes were great too; the Brazilian Carrot Cake is a must-try. I was told the menu will be expanded in due course, so I'm really looking forward to it. Will most certainly return when I'm next in the area.

McDonald's is a classic fast-food chain that has stood the test of time, renowned for its iconic burgers and fries. During my visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the quick service despite the bustling drive-thru and dining area filled with patrons. Our large group of 20 found seating without any hassle, allowing us to enjoy our meals in a clean and inviting atmosphere. The food arrived promptly, hot, and delicious—just as expected!
The service was excellent, the price was good. Drive through here. Food excellent family enjoyed it.

I ordered two cheeseburgers with extra ketchup, mustard and onion. Both came with no pickles (or one singular pickle if that counts) and no onions as well as no extra mustard nor ketchup. Not sure what's up with that. It's even labelled correctly.

Completely messed up our order. No cheese in bacon cheese flatbread, instead burnt to the side! Burnt sausage in muffin, egg in a muffin that was ordered without, forgot to put 3 hashbrowns in the bag. Overall very poor

Really good venue, as McDonalds go. Service was really quick - even though the drive thru AND sit down areas were rammed! We were a party of 20 that "just turned up" and were able to sit and eat

I've been to this McDonald's alot but today I went through the Drive thru and received poor service. I ordered a Biscoff Frappe, not being a fan of coffee I made sure there wasn't any. I tasted the drink and it had a coffee flavour. I spoke to the employees about this and then the manager confronted me not believing a word I was saying. She then looked at it and realised it was made wrong and it was likely the cameral version (has coffee). Mistakes happen I have no problem with that but instead of a polite exchange it felt like I like I was being attacked for saying it tasted of coffee and the manager was very rude to me. Overall not pleased at all with today's service I received.

Terrible dirty place, floors, ceilings, walls. Just looking behind the counter makes me wonder when they last had a hygiene inspection. Food is not the best quality. Doesn't compare to the "average" beano cafe. Needs a complete refurbish, and lessons in how to prepare and cook food properly.

My honest opinion on this cafe the food is great but depending on who cooks it depends on the amount you get if the man cooks it you will get like 7 chips with your meal and your hungry still or if it the woman you get more chips then you can eat and better value for your money but the food great ether way

The staff made some very nasty comments about my autistic toddler after he and his father left. It's not easy to raise a mentally disabled child and we do our best to try and minimise the effects his behaviour has on others by removing him when he becomes difficult. We won't be using this place again and I suggest that anyone with mental disabilities avoid it. Their greasy flavourless food is not worth the lack of kindness.

What's not to like about this great family run cafe in King George VI park...well actually nothing! Unbelievably well priced compared to similar outlets, very clean and superb homely food...best bacon sandwiches going served on proper bread not just your bog standard sliced. I agree also with a previous review indeed the best omelette around...however this is jot a fancy coffee shop so yes coffee pretty standard ...however I'm somewhat perplexed by the previous reviewer downgrading due to "no sea view" (the cafe being named Alisons Sea View) I beg to differ when I stand at the counter and order, turn half way round and hey presto you can see the sea...of course it's not not a complete ocean view it's situated in a park! Getting back to the point in question, this cafe has something for everyone from home made cakes hot cooked food every soft drink imaginable and let's not forget the very generous portions of soft scoop ice cream together with sweets/chocolates/biscuits...but most important of all special doggy sausages and dog proof ice cream...a well run value for money great family business that opens in all weather's right through until middle of November...a dog walker's haven ....which looks after their hoomans too!

I good little stop for us on a late sunny afternoon. We had 2 cappuccino in a good mug. 99 and a tub of ice cream for less than a tenner. Good friendly people around with their dogs. Next time will try coffee and cake ( home made ) for £4.30 Only thing missing is a view over the sea
Victor K — Google review
Best Omelette I have had, coffee was very average though. Striking off a star because there the cafe name is a misnomer. There is absolutely no sea view. And only cash payment or bank transfer
Saurabh S — Google review
Very nice little cafe in the park. We didn’t eat but the food of others did look very nice and they said that it was. I’ve only knocked a star off because it’s cash only and I don’t normally carry much cash.

Stewart's Cafe, a beloved spot on Margate Road in Ramsgate, is the perfect destination for those seeking hearty meals and a warm atmosphere. Known for its friendly staff and wallet-friendly prices, this cafe serves up mouthwatering fry-ups alongside straightforward options like jacket potatoes and a much-loved Sunday roast. First-time visitors often leave feeling completely satisfied, with generous portions that ensure no one departs hungry. The welcoming vibe makes you feel like a regular from your very first visit.
Came to Stewart’s Cafe for breakfast for the first time and left feeling like I’d just eaten my body weight in pure happiness. Seriously, I’m not sure if I walked out or rolled out — but either way, it was totally worth it. The food? Absolutely delicious. And the portions? Let’s just say Stewart doesn’t believe in letting you leave hungry. I’m still full and it’s tomorrow. The staff were super friendly too — the kind of people who make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit. I half expected them to offer me a loyalty card and a group hug. In short: 10/10, would recommend, and I’m already planning my next visit (after I recover from my food coma).

Popped in for our first veggie breakfast and we weren’t disappointed! Clean and welcoming cafe, prompt service, good tasting food and all washed down with a decent cup of tea! It was quiet as approaching the end of the day, but still a few other diners.
Richard T — Google review
First time visit for us on Sunday for a breakfast, the food was very nice and cooked perfect, the price is very good for the quality of food and portion size. The cafe itself has a nice friendly feel and the staff are amazing. We enjoyed it so much we just popped back this aftwrnoon for a takeaway burger and chips, and again they didn't disappoint, very nice indeed. Our new favourite place to eat locally.

Not been here for a long time, one of my regular go-to's. Food freshly cooked, they have a good chef, eggs not over done, just how I like them. Very reasonably priced too. But it does get busy.

Welcoming staff - served great tea, coffee and breakfast for all. Had the veggie breakfast and loved it. Dog friendly!

My wife, little boy and myself grabbed an early lunch here, like the Three Bears, my boy had a small breakfast, my wife had a medium breakfast, and I had a large. They were delicious, every part of them, and good sized portions too. The woman who runs it was lovely, and really helpful to us with advice on things to do in the area. Support it, it's a lovely little cafe.

We visited the cafe after attending Pegwell Bay Parkrun down the road. Fab little cafe which was dog friendly. Stopped for breakfast and mugs of tea. Lovely views over Ramsgate, mild enough to sit outside too. Staff were friendly and its popular with locals as well. Free parking and toilets locally. Would highly recommend. Thanks.

Good views. Straight-forward food. Probably very busy in the Summer. But pleasant in February. Satisfied us. Hope it stays as there was an'enquiries' sign outside

Nice selection of food and very friendly staff. Food is good quality and very tasty chips. Here on a grey rainy day but it's still quite busy.

If you wanting to go somewhere;, where the pig is still oinking when you order some bacon this is the place to go. 9 pound for a sausage and bacon baguette and a coke has got to be the biggest rip off of the century. Bacons virtually uncooked. Sausages are the cheapest sausages you could get.

Good food. Quick service. Friendly enough! Lots of options and they’re willing to make accommodations for even the fussiest of people. Great view and a fair amount of seating surrounding the place. I’d return. :) the dog watching is fun from here too

Top tier service! 👌 I cannot recommend the Rising Sun Café in Ramsgate enough, thanks to the outstanding team of Carol 👩‍🍳, Stacey 🍭, and Blythe 😊. Came here on the 16th April for a hearty breakfast to start our day for our Easter pub crawl. There was 6 of us and this cafe was busy but staff informed us of how long the wait was which wasn't to long we just sat outside in the sunshine until tables were available in the cafe so we ordered and waited...My breakfast was smashing cooked just how I asked for it, piping hot and reasonable in price. I will definitely eat there again when I'm over that way. Staff were great. 👍

Absolutely banging breakfast, first cafe down south I havnt been disappointed with and decent price. Bacon was thick and cooked perfect, same as the eggs, mushrooms and the bread stick. 10/10 definitely visit again
Jaide T — Google review
Pre-cooked bacon for reasons I would never understand then re- heated on grill to be served up looking like re- heated bacon all hard and horrible, used to be a good cafe but if you can’t spend 3 minutes at most cooking bacon fresh to order then you shouldn’t be serving bacon at all. No wonder it was empty at 12.30 lunchtime
James H — Google review
Absolutely spot on!!! The service was fantastic! As I'm disabled the ladies in there were brilliant. The food is second to none and cooked perfectly, can't wait to go back there very soon, if it was just around the corner I'd eat breakfast lunch and dinner there!!! 5 stars from me.

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Rio’s Cafe and Restaurant. This charming spot has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With an extensive breakfast menu that features everything from lean bacon to hearty mixed grills, there's something to satisfy every palate. The food is freshly prepared and bursting with flavor, making it a perfect choice for any meal of the day.
Brilliant service and amazing food. Not many places, if it all, you can get a Roast Lamb dinner that good. Thanks so much!
Enis E — Google review
Second time dining at Rio’s, amazing food the pictures don’t do it justice and the flavours were so good. Reasonably priced, good sized portions I had to take mine home. Staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, will definitely be back
Zoe G — Google review
The breakfast selection is extensive, and on average, it costs around 6 pounds for a full breakfast (including a cup of coffee). The taste is quite good, with the bacon being lean. The owner provides friendly service, the food is served quickly, and the coffee tastes good too. Many locals come here for breakfast.
Hao W — Google review
I can't recommend Rio's in Grange Road highly enough. I had never been there before, but as I live down the road, I took my adult daughter there for lunch today. She had the mixed grill + a cappuccino coffee and I had the full English breakfast + a normal coffee. The food was excellent quality, cooked perfectly and the coffees were lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and looked after us extremely well, taking the time to engage us in conversation. The cafe itself was spotlessly clean, including the kitchen area, fresh and well ventilated. Great value, lovely food, friendly staff and clean. There is absolutely nothing to detract from this exceptional cafe - thank you. P.S. I forgot to say that the portions are extremely generous as well (without skimping on the quality), a massive tick in my book.
John M — Google review
Solid prices, solid food, Im perfectly happy with what I got. Staff was pleasant and enjoyable to talk to. Would recommend if you are in the area and need something to fill you up.
Maksymilian B — Google review
Breakfast was nice but the greeting as I entered the cafe could have been better. I approached the waitress waiting to be directed to where I could sit but I was looked at like I was transparent. I had to ask where I should sit. Her colleague was a lot more receptive with a lovely "hello". I think a nice welcome says a lot about an establishment and a nice greeting goes along way.

If you're on the hunt for a cozy spot to take a break while shopping, look no further than Tesco Cafe. This charming cafe has become a favorite of mine after several visits, thanks to its consistently friendly and welcoming staff. The menu offers a delightful range of tasty food and drinks served piping hot, making it an ideal place for a quick bite or leisurely cuppa. While it can get busy at times—resulting in slight delays—the overall experience is well worth it.
Having visited this cafe on several occasions I can honestly say it is worth a visit. The staff are always friendly and welcoming when I go there, the service i.e food and drink are tasty and served hot as they should be in good time. Like a lot of places they do get busy so you have to occasionely have to wait an extra few minutes for the items to arrive but over all I would say give it a try if you are shopping in this shop.

Not sure how that is called an English breakfast, service was great, but the food was disgusting challenge manager and staff to try their own servings avoid

Been using manston cafe for some time with friendly staff. Come here today and there is a new member and I can not belive how rude she is. I'll be going else where from now on.
Brian S — Google review
Rude member of staff when we went here today. Left a very bad atmosphere, you could cut it with a knife. slamming chairs around. Snappy no manners clearly has some sort of issue.
Angela J — Google review
The waiting time is unbelievable bring out drinks before food is served .waited up to an hour plus for food to come out ..loads of tables with people waiting for food ...very disappointing kitchen staff clearly unable to keep up with demand. Its is not ok .
