Breakfast restaurant
Augusta House of Pancakes is a cozy breakfast spot known for its traditional decor and extensive menu. Despite being busy, the restaurant efficiently manages the crowd with ample staff and quick service. The food, although standard diner fare, is served promptly and is generally satisfying. However, it's important to note that this establishment operates on a cash-only basis.
This is one of the best breakfast restaurants in Augusta. Service is always great here. Wonderful staff and great management. Place is always clean, but always busy. Bathroom was top notch this morning. No clutter or garbage on the floor. They have candles in the bathroom not lit but a nice smell. Menu always has tons of food but not overwhelming. Parking is kinda tight but that's not their fault. Plenty of parking spots. They are wheelchair friendly, plenty of tables. They only accept cash, which is the only drawback but they have an ATM. You won't find a better manager than Lofton, he constantly makes sure not only is his customers happy but his staff as well. He engages with his customers on a everyday basis, he's the perfect manager to be running a high paced restaurant. Also a shout out to Emily, Byran, Junior and Ella, you guys are great and we enjoy seeing you. Today I had ham steak, home fries, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and toast. All delicious. My husband had three french toast, three eggs, kielbasa, and toast. We have a great experience every time, thank you! Overall, 5 stars! <3

I’ve lived in Augusta for almost seven years now 👋 and have been to eat here many times. The food here is reasonably priced, and I’ve always liked whatever I’ve ordered. The reason for the low star review is due to the service. I like to order to-go a few times a month, and each time I have gone in to pick up my food, there will be at least three to four servers that walk by, stare right at me, and proceed to blatantly ignore me.. I have stood around, and it feels like nobody wants to deal with the customer. It would be one thing if this happened once or twice, but it’s actually been every single time I’ve come in to pick up my food. Once someone finally takes the time to ask me if I need anything, and I tell them it’s a takeout order, they just take the cash and ring up the bill, and I am always left feeling like I somehow inconvenienced them by coming in to pick up my food. Also to note, the last time I ordered, they didn’t even put the takeout order in, so I had to sit and wait for them to make my food. Like I said, I’ve never had an issue with the quality of the food, but I’m leaving this review so that *hopefully* the quality of service changes for the better.. We are so limited for breakfast spots in Augusta, and I can’t help but feel like the service has been so terrible because I’m ordering takeout, and they assume they aren’t getting a tip. When I feel like a bother just for coming in to pick up food, it’s a problem.. A better attitude would go a long way.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way home from Bar Harbor. It is the quintessential American diner. I had the blueberry pancakes which were huge, full of blueberries and fluffy! I also had a side of bacon which was quite tasty. My husband had “Bobs breakfast” which was eggs, hash browns, sausage and a biscuit. Everything was standard fare but the biscuit was really good If you are in the area looking for a standard diner breakfast, this is a good choice! The price is very good too!
Deb N — Google review
We had an incredible experience this morning. Our waitress was attentive, kind, and helpful. She not only helped explain the specials, she basically created a meal based on my mother's requests. The service was speedy and the food hot, fresh and delicious. The prices are so low! Great locally owned gem!
Michael A — Google review
Visited late morning on the weekend and , no surprise< the place was very very busy. Wait time was about 10 minutes for a 2 top, not too bad considering. Place is obviously well prepared for this with lots of staff and a kitchen that seems to be able to keep up. Food was pretty standard diner fare with average size portions. Menu is very large , service was efficient and quick even with the full dining room. ***NOTE*** CASH ONLY
Joe B — Google review
What a wonderful experience we had here on a busy Saturday morning! After a few minutes wait, we opted for the counter instead. Service was friendly, prompt, and helpful. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Highly recommend the cinnamon bun! Husband raved about his omelet and I enjoyed my scrambled eggs with peppers and onions. Bacon was perfect too. Note: cash only!
Jackie A — Google review
Waffles were the best and prices to match. If youre in town definitely come here for breakfast!

My husband & I had breakfast here today. The fruit cup was bigger than any other restaurant I'd ordered 1 at. The eggs were perfect, French toast & pancakes, too. Waitress was very friendly.

Restaurant
Downtown Diner, located in the former Herseys Shoe Store, is a popular spot for hearty breakfast and lunch. The vintage sign above the entrance adds to its charm. The menu offers classic greasy spoon breakfast options like eggs, omelets, hash browns, pancakes, and French toast. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and enjoy sitting by the window to take in views of the nearby river. The friendly waitstaff and delicious homemade Texas toast are frequently mentioned highlights.
We had to wait a while on Sunday morning, but it was worth the wait! I had the Maine breakfast, and everything was just what I wanted. The pancakes are huge and the sausage has got a little kick to it. The waitresses are sweethearts, I was very surprised at the amount of food that was pumped out of that kitchen and everybody looked like they were having a fantastic meal. My wife got the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and she said it was like nothing but perfect. Parking was easy in the back lot. If you get a chance you need to go here!
* D — Google review
To be fair, the iron man challenge was happening on the day we went for breakfast so service wasn't the best. It was insanely busy, we walked in and no seats at all available except at the bar so we waited. There was only two waitresses on, one was friendly, one seem robotic not a lot of personality. Parking on a normal day there's street parking out front or out back. Free street parking. They have nice decor, old photos of the town through the years on the walls. The bathroom was trashed but again it was the iron man race. They probably should have had more staff on that morning. It's your basic breakfast restaurant that offers lunch as well on normal days. The menu doesn't have a lot to choose from on the breakfast side of the menu but food was good. My husband had the maine breakfast which was two eggs, sausage and pancakes. If you like pancakes this is the place to go. The pancakes are as big as your head. He enjoyed them very much. I had breakfast bowl, I personally like food burnt because I like the taste but the home fries were burnt and others probably wouldn't have liked it. I got a side can corn beef hash. It was absolutely delicious but beware its out of a can and they tell you that upfront so at least they are honest. Still was convenient and good. Prices here are fair for the breakfast but the sides are really expensive. I wasn't overly impressed but maybe on a different day it would have been better, I'll still return for another try. Food was good though. Overall, 3 stars! <3

Great breakfast. Nice little spot, service was fantastic. A bit disappointed to be in Maine and have fake syrup on the table (REAL syrup is an option, but I wasn't aware until after I'd already finished) but everything else was fantastic.
Dustin F — Google review
The reviews looked awesome so we stopped in for breakfast while visiting the area for a wedding. Staff was very rude for no reason, told us to wait in a narrow hallway and then continuously yelled at us for standing there and blocking the dishwasher from bussing dishes. The service was pretty fast but the food was mediocre. My son's pancake was so burned we couldn't even cut it up for him, my husband got french toast that was basically just thick bread, no cinnamon or vanilla flavoring. Our cups and mugs were so soapy we could taste soap. I put some of my water in my baby's cup and she shook it and you could see soap bubbles.
Hallie S — Google review
Greeted at the door, super friendly. Food came quickly and was cooked perfectly! Real maple syrup along request and the Cinnamon Roll was soft fluffy, warm and heavenly! Our waitress was a peach!
Amber Y — Google review
Fabulous! My husband and I stopped both going to and coming from our vacation. Delicious food and friendly, attentive people. The breads and pastries are all made locally and are terrific. Special shout out for the cinnamon rolls!

Cute local diner, generous portions. Very friendly staff

This diner, located in downtown Augusta, is a favorite of regulars and was a pleasant discovery for we out of towners as well. The food was nice - diner fare. I went with the meatloaf and it was good - definitely stick to your ribs type of food and lots of it. The service was great. The atmosphere is dineresque, old downtown - it was awesome. You could feel the history here and it was incredible.

If you're in search of a cozy spot to kickstart your day with a delightful breakfast, look no further than Bagel Mainea. This charming local bagel shop is the perfect place to indulge in freshly baked bagels paired with rich cream cheese and a robust cup of coffee. With an impressive selection of both sweet and savory flavors like blueberry, pumpkin, black olive rosemary, and sourdough cheddar, there's something for everyone.
they are the best place to get a bagel sandwich in Maine. I always get the Kevin's delight ( what can I say, Kevin is a sandwich genius). They are welcoming and they even call me by my name now. If you are in the area you need to try Bagel Mainea!
Elise B — Google review
Their sandwiches are small and overpriced. Their atmosphere is a bit grungy and uncomfortable for the average diner. The flavor was good, but could be improved.

Yummiest bagel. Fresh! The coffee was amazing. I tried snookerdoodle.
Anushriya B — Google review
The bagel sandwiches here are one of the best I have ever had around New England. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese on a jalapeno cheddar bagel with garlic herb cream cheese and I was blown away. So happy my friends and I stopped here (one of them also greatly enjoyed her 1st breakfast burrito in life here). Would absolutely come back whenever Im back in Maine!!

I'm touring Maine to see if I'm changing states, I'm traveling from Florida and I find this place in Augusta, I walked in and a very friendly guy took care of me, I ordered an onion bagel with beacon, egg and cheese and I really loved it! ! Everything is very fresh and the place is very cozy. If you travel and find it, be sure to try them.

Restaurant
Lisa's Restaurant & Lounge is a cozy American-style eatery that offers a diverse menu and a seasonal patio. The restaurant exudes a welcoming atmosphere and is open daily, making it convenient for patrons to visit at any time. Customers have praised the delicious homemade dishes, reasonable prices, and ample portion sizes. The establishment has been described as a hidden gem with reliable staff and generous servings.
Have been looking for a great spot in Augusta and have finally found it. The staff is incredible and work as a team and you can tell this place is a place the locals come and are treated like family. Sat in the lounge and the bartender Kerrie threw some great songs on the jukebox to make a great atmosphere. Our waitress indigo gave us several recommendations and was on point with all of them. Unique specials and great variety on the menu. Best fresh cut fries I think I have ever had.
Shawn B — Google review
First time visiting this place. Stopped in with my wife for lunch. I knew the chef, Adam, and asked him to make whatever he recommended. It worked out great as I love a good Reuben. I'm pretty picky, so I was curious how it would be. It was excellent! Bread had a lovely crisp to it, and the balance of ingredients was perfect! My wife had the taco bowl as she loves anything taco. She absolutely loved it. Our server, Indigo, was a delight. Friendly and helpful, she made sure we were taken care of. Give this place a shot!! We are glad we did!

Lisa's Restaurant and Lounge is located right off the East side rotary on Bangor Street, across from Aubochons Hardware. First floor accessible through the street entrance. Prices are reasonable. Food is fresh, fast, and consistently delicious. There's always something new to experience to make it worth the trip back. Some parking available but best to avoid busier hours.
Danielle L — Google review
We ordered an appetizer of bread & oil & 4 meals. A pasta dish, a kids menu mac & cheese, a taco salad & American chop suey with no mushrooms. About 15 min after we ordered we had caught the waitress’ attention & very politely asked about the bread & oil. She was very rude & said that it usually comes out with the meals (odd, as it is an appetizer) and that she would see what she could do but the kitchen is busy with orders on the bar side (odd because there was barely anyone on the bar side) The bread and oil made its way to us. When our meals came out, the American chop suey had mushrooms (thankfully it was a preference and not an allergy) and the meat on the taco salad was burnt. The name on the receipt for the waitress was Piper. Wouldn’t consider visiting again.
Allana M — Google review
Stopped by for a quick lunch with my lady. We had Indigo as a server and she was wonderful! Very friendly and attentive. I got the steak bomb with curly fries (additional cost) and it was delicious. My lady got the chili (smaller size by the way) and she enjoyed it a lot. We will be back!
Alec D — Google review
I chose this place because it’s slightly off Commercial Street, which gives it a more relaxed vibe. It’s a lovely spot. I sat at the bar and the bartender was really friendly. He even shared some of the history of the place, which made the dinner feel even more special. The burger was excellent! The restaurant isn’t very big, so if you're a party of more than two, I’d recommend making a reservation.
Alessandro B — Google review
Everything we have had from here has been the best. Especially the corn chowder. I highly recommend anyone to try their food prices are great especially for the amount of food you get. Service is outstanding
Daniel A — Google review
First time here. Service was excellent. Waitstaff very friendly, food was very good, with the exception of the chili. It was too thick for our liking but other than that, everything else was great. Huge portions. Will definitely be back to try their breakfast. We had the reuben, bacon burger and honey dipped chicken.

"Wrapped Up" offers a variety of fresh and delicious salads, with the cobb salad being a standout option. The large portion is hearty and packed with proteins, making it a satisfying meal. Customers can customize their salads to suit their preferences. In addition to its great food, the café serves excellent coffee drinks, such as the recommended tiramisu latte. The friendly baristas and high-quality beverages make it a top choice for coffee enthusiasts.
The staff was super helpful and made suggestions based off of what we liked. I got a lie berry coffee and a sausage Sammy. The bread had a good crunchy crust while being soft on the inside. The also have an acoustic guitar and bass to play if you want!

Cute, cozy, and quiet. Cashier/Barista was super friendly. Menu is a little confusing because they have a QR code and additional items on their boards, but they had a great variety of options. I got a coffee and a smoothie, both came out great, and a potato donut (so good!).
Dana P — Google review
I hate to rag on a small business but I was not at all impressed with this place. Inside doesn't look or feel clean at all. There's some weird black gunk dripping down the AC unit, the furniture is stained, everything is kind of grimy and dusty. The pastries in the case look like what you would find at a random bake sale not a legit bakery. The cashier was polite but was talking smack about some other customers to their friend while we were in there. We got 2 wraps. Wanted a drink but they were out of ice and also out of beef. They were simply very underwhelming, bland and lacking flavor. I didn't feel that the chicken used was fresh. I hope this place improves. no hate but do better gang. Not worth the money for me.
Buh S — Google review
Got a sausage breakfast sandwich and smoothie. The breakfast sandwich was different but decent and the smoothie mostly tasted like banana yogurt. It was my first time and service was kinda lacking. The place was empty when I first walked in the guy came out shortly after but noticed I was looking at the menu and walked into the back room again so I had to wait for him to come back out to take my order. Place was kinda dusty and couch had crumbs on it. Hopefully the kitchen was cleaner.
Andrew ( — Google review
My oat milk vanilla latte was amazing! After trying another coffee shop and being disappointed, the first sip of my drink tasted like heaven. The barista was very kind. Thank you! 😊
Morgan M — Google review
It was a great experience coming here. I spoke with the owner and this is definitely a family oriented man. They have a great selection of products, the food tastes delicious and the coffee is great. It has a very light atmosphere and it's a good place for a quick little break. I recommend this place for all
Chris — Google review
I also hardly ever review uncomplementarily, but this place got both of my thumbs down. Ordered 2 wraps that turned out to be not a bit "gourmet." Overcooked, dried out chicken, flavorless rice, scant sauce, and raw broccoli (really?). The selections are basically cheap variations with different possibly bottled sauces. The wrap was not even grilled, ingredients cold. Ordered ahead, only one other customer there, and still had a wait for someone to answer the bell, and another wait for food. Polite assistance once they showed. Didn't finish eating wrap and honestly, I'm not picky! We won't be back.
Pauline D — Google review
Great atmosphere and nice place to just grab a cup of coffee or tea and hang out! They even have a bunch of board games to play! I think this is a great place for college age people to hangout. They even have a couple guitars you can play!…just put they back when you’re done. I ordered a Gingerbread House Latte and was surprised that I didn’t need to add sugar! Wicked good :) Also, something very rare for a coffee shop…FREE REFILLS!!!! That’s unheard of! Apparently they have some art for sale or something to help out local artists and such. They seem to very community positive. They don’t “require” you to wear a mask or anything like most places will in Portland or Brunswick, so that’s refreshing. This will definitely be my go to coffee shop in Augusta and will be suggesting it to all my friends :D

Breakfast restaurant
Panera Bread is a popular bakery/cafe chain that offers sandwiches, salads, and other delicious options. It is well-known for its bread and the availability of free WiFi. While some customers have expressed disappointment with the trend of increasing prices while offering less value, others find their meals to be filling and satisfying. One common complaint is the inconvenience of having to collect food and drinks from different locations within the cafe.
Had a great experience at Panora Bread! The manager was incredibly friendly and seemed genuinely passionate about his job. He even came out to the patio to check on how our meal was going, which really stood out. The whole staff was polite, attentive, and welcoming. It’s rare to see that level of care and customer service these days. The food was great too—fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. I’ll definitely be back!
Redd N — Google review
We’ve been regulars at this spot for a while now, but unfortunately, our most recent visit was a huge letdown. The servings were noticeably smaller than usual and slapped together, leaving us feeling like we didn’t get our usual value for money. On top of that, the service was subpar and slow while they played on their phones and talked amongst one another (which isn't an issue but when you have customers who are waiting it's off putting). My child got chips with her meal but they gave her an apple and both apples we received were soft and mushy making them inedible.
M H — Google review
Went there for a quick bite after a long day and got a Bacon, Turkey, bravo sandwich, it was $13 for a whole to only get a single slice of turkey on each half of my sandwich. The whole sandwich was lettuce virtually. Extremely disappointed because I generally love my turkey bacon bravo’s, but this one was borderline awful. Also to make matter’s worse, this probably occurred because one of the worker’s was doing everything but working while only one worker made everyone’s sandwiches in our order. For the increase in prices of everything Panera offers, I at least expect reasonable or at least mediocre food, this was not that.
Andrew S — Google review
My Son and I were out for him buying a new phone and we decided to stop and have lunch before heading home. We ordered the lobster roll each and I was amazed at the amount of lobster that was on it. Every bite lobster was just rolling off the roll. It was really good and we're ordered soup broccoli cheddar and the whole experience was well worth the money we spent as I've ordered lobster from other establishments and gotten such a small amount of lobster you literally felt like you were doing a search for the lobster meat. I was quiet impressed. If looking for a lobster roll I'll be heading back to Panera for it. 🩷 It was a great lunch.
Deb S — Google review
I had breakfast at Panera Bread with a few friends, and it was such a pleasant experience. Two of our Chipotle egg sandwiches accidentally fell, and the staff kindly replaced it without charging us. They were incredibly polite and helpful, which made the experience even better. The sandwich itself was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I’ve always loved Panera Bread, and this visit reminded me why. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing and enjoyable breakfast.
Chanakya G — Google review
Overpriced food, horrible customer service. Most of the employees here are nice but when you overhear someone say "that's not my job" that doesn't instill confidence in an establishment or its brand. It only takes 2 or 3 with that kind of attitude to ruin an establishment and that's what did it for me. will never eat at this location again. Evening crew is far better than lunch. Fair warning.
Ryan — Google review
poor service, literally so slow, nobody has any clue what’s going on in that place, they messed up my order, if i ordered my food at 2:24 and it says 5-10 minute wait and i wait 30 minutes. that is absolutely ridiculous. i will never go back to this location what so ever.
Rysiah D — Google review
Don't go here unless you like getting ripped off. I ordered the "whole" lobster roll for $25. There was only 3 small pieces of lobster in it. Barley even a claw in it. Being in maine, that's bs. Also had a waiting period of at least 25 minutes. I know I won't ever come back.

We had a large family gathering of 20+. Had made reservations, but name and phone number didn't make it through to manager. She accommodated us with a smile at the last minute. Staff did an amazing job of handling orders and delivering the food. Could not have asked for anything better.
Mary D — Google review
We waited to be seated for almost 20 min. There was only two customers at the time and a server looked right at me twice and walked in a different direction. When a different last came to seat I mentioned to her. She laughed. I told her I don't think it was funny. If I weren't so hungry I would have left. Never again!!!
Tina S — Google review
I was pleased today, when I had mentioned my food allergies to my server, they paid attention to my needs. That was followed up by the kitchen staff coming out specifically to ask about the details so that they could keep me safe. This was all done while the restaurant was more full than I have ever experienced. I could not rate this service any higher!

Place was empty, after our visit we understand why. It was food, that's about it, nothing great. Pale hash browns, tough pancakes not so nice coffee. Sausages tasted like hotdogs, kinda of a all around let down not sure how this place is open now.

I've been in the best and worst breakfast places over the years. This is definitely a franchise vibe BUT this is a new and up to date location with huge dining rooms plural, so even when it's busy it is still a pleasant experience. Over the years the menu has become smaller (less variety) and pricier but that is everything everywhere these days. I was pleased with my eggs Benedict even though the eggs were overdone (solid) but that may just be a temperature standard to avoid any issues with food borne illness. My friend had some kind of spicy steak and veggie omelette, it looked great and had a huge chunk of avocado garnish, both of us were pleased. The coffee was just ok, again to be expected. Overall very satisfied.

Creepy, no customers. Employees were not visible for about 5 minutes after coming in. Food was gross, 2 people in my party got sick from what they are, and the pancakes were like chewing some kind of flubber sponge. Do not recommend.

There are many negative reviews below but my experience has almost always been good. It’s difficult to get a decent, hot, meal at any McDonalds these days but rarely has this one disappointed me. Service is always great & friendly. I make it a point to stop at this particular McDonalds because everything is usually hot, cheese is melted & fries are crispy. Kudos to owner/manager & employees! McDonald’s prices have gone crazy but it’s the same at every McDonalds.

Literally ordered a mocha frappe so I could enjoy lunch with my girlfriend. This was by far the WORST frappe I’ve ever had. Isn’t McDonald’s supposed to be about consistency? Not this one. The ice was barely blended, no flavor and it was like drinking chunks of ice instead of a smooth frappe. You can see the air pockets from all the chunks of ice that aren’t blended together. I waited 15 minutes as the cashiers took orders from other people and ignored me (as did the managers after looking me directly in the eyes multiple times). I felt like being serviced was a chore for these people. I’ve been a manager in retail for over 10 years and I have never treated my customers like this. They eventually offered to remake the frappe in a larger size and it was just as awful as the first time. I’ve never had such a disappointing experience. NONE of the McDonald’s in the greater Portland area operate like this. STOP focusing on your drive thru KPI and pay attention to your customers at the counter and inside the restaurant.

We had “dinner” here tonight 6/21; I ordered a Big Mac..there was nothing big about the burgers, they were extremely small, I don’t think there were two. It had so much special sauce the buns and burger were slipping around and fell apart. I think management has a problem with quality control and for $18 an hour!
Colleen S — Google review
They messed up my order again...I'm lactose intolerant and always order my burgers without cheese..but of course they mess up something...also get extra pickles. So I get orders given to me. either it's got cheese on my burger or no pickles. It's just not every once in a while but it's at all McDonald's
Patricia F — Google review
Rene the manger on duty is rude. She was abrasive and very unprofessional. If she hates her job that much she might want to change "careers" Her staff looks frustrated and she has walked away on them multiple times. She was also very rude to my self and other customers. She could use management training.

Made oder at kiosk. Went to counter to pay cash, guy rudely says where the ticket, I stated there must be no paper. He quickly said we'll I just have redo your order. I stated our order number again 991, he looked at me confused, this is what you get for warm bodies filling a void....

The young man that was the cashier inside, at the counter around 11:45am today 7/22/25, at the Bangor Street McDonald's in Augusta....... was such a friendly, kind, personable, bright light, and did an EXCELLENT job. His customer service skills and hard work was noticed & appreciated! Keep up the good work bud! I hope you get the recognition you deserve!!!!

Good lord…. This place was a complete circus. The service was incredibly slow. I would expect fast food to be somewhat fast. Not this place. The lobby was looked like no one cleaned it in the last week. The manager complained loudly about her job, and an inability to keep employees once they started. For such simple processes to make orders (like 3 steps with pictures), the order was incorrect. It also tasted on the poor side. We did not get our drinks that were ordered, and decided to just leave after waiting for a lengthy period. This place was like a waffle house impersonating a McDonalds. Yucky.
Tyler C — Google review
Every single time I go here they make me pull ahead for the most simple thing they offer... A cheese burger. I then have to sit and wait between 10 to 20 minutes for a cheeseburger absolutely ridiculous. I could understand if I was ordering a crazy amount of things or even the quarter pounder but is just a simple cheeseburger there's no reason for it.
Kayla P — Google review
Be prepared to wait longer than a traditional restaurant and then receive cold rubbery food. The ONE advantage of eating fast food is that it is fast. Not here. Many people in line had waited upwards of an hour. One patron asked for a refund, but then was told she'd have to wait for a manager, whom was not available. The worker also did not offer to go GET the manager. Instead he said, "I've been here since four, I'm leaving." Instead of getting a manager to speak to, she was given her food...no refund given even though she asked. Another mom came in with her three children after waiting in her car for an hour. Kids had peed their pants and food still not ready. Mcdonalds, if you are going to charge $10 plus per meal and advertise as fast food, then offer food fast. Otherwise, my family would have gone elsewhere for roughly the same price.
Meegan C — Google review
Terrible service waited in line for 20 minutes inside the store got my order drove down the road to fine out my hamburger is a cheeseburger, my fries are cold and so are my nuggets I went to get a refund for my hamburger because they can’t hire someone to do a such a simple task as making a hamburger. It was in the hamburger wrap and all but had cheese on it, the manager then told me she didn’t have 2.15$ in her cash drawer so I had to get it put on a card absolutely ridiculous avoid at all cost go to a different one everytime I’ve came here there’s been an issue.
Trevor A — Google review
I came in here expecting to spend money on food, which is a reasonable expectation--however, there was an unreasonably irate customer who was furious over something so trivial as making a simple mistake. The employees AND manager handled that interaction with the utmost professionalism! Better than I would have handled it, if I am being bluntly honest. I was waiting to place an order for a bit but I don't mind because they were extremely busy and were doing their jobs. The manager took my order after dealing with the obscene customer and gave me my order for free. . .just for being patient. I am morally obligated to be patient. We are ALL morally obligated to exhibit patience. Be that change.

Thank you to the Bangor St McDonald's crew who gave wonderful compliments on my dog. And to the worker who came outside to see my dog and give her some attention as we we're there for an ice cream for her. It's been a rough day as we we're there because sadly, my dog isn't well. Thank you all for being kind.

Disgusted with the service I got this afternoon 2:54pm place the order stayed in their over 20 minutes no acknowledgement i was even there no one asked what order nothing. Then the male manager with tattoos wicked attitude made coffee wrong i stated needed whip cream he forgot it he grabbed with attitude put on counter with attitude coffee and cream messy all over cup and hands me a empty cup for soda that I prepaid for even before I got there. I paid for the service should've been already dont disgusted. No customer service skills what so ever. Learn to be respectful to your paying customers! Watch your drive thru time and in-store time really crazy to wait as long as I did for 2 drinks that were pre-ordered way before I got there

Starbucks is a popular coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering its signature roasts and light snacks along with WiFi access. The ambiance in the stores is generally calm and conducive for work, often accompanied by pleasant music. Some locations provide a shelf of books for customers to enjoy while sipping their drinks. While the food may be pricey, the friendly staff and efficient service make up for it. Although occasional mistakes occur with orders, they are promptly rectified with enthusiasm.
This Augusta Starbucks in in shambles. 2pm on a Friday afternoon, and only two people working. Who manages this store? Absolute disgrace. You have driven nearly all of your employees out, and driven morale, and service into the ground with your lack of leadership, and managerial skills. Boxes unopened everywhere and stacked up, filthy floors, cooler, and food display cases half and or completely empty. Wait times for a single iced coffee with cream takes 45 minutes. The owner of this this store should fire the manager, and show up to fix this. This Starbucks used to run like a well oiled machine. The word “order” and this manager have one thing in common - absent.
Philip G — Google review
Front doors were locked with a sign saying. Drive-Thru only! No inside orders! If anything should be open. It's the inside for people that don't have cars. And also for people that would like to use the washroom considering they're paying a high price for drinks. Summer Berry lemonade is not available. Was told it's a seasonal item. However, it's middle of August and they said they no longer sell it. It's listed on the menu at the drive-thru as well as a sign. Put up everyday see pictures.

I truly feel so bad for the workers here. I believe this Starbucks should be shut down. Waited nearly 1 hour for my coffee in the cafe and had to get issued a refund because he said it was going to be longer wait. They have no staff. Who runs a place like that? This place needs to be closed. There’s no point in operating a business like that. The workers deserve better too.
Marlaina S — Google review
Ordered a Peach Green Tea. There was way too much ice and so little flavoring and tea. I ordered it again on a different day, and asked for extra peach. Still tasted very watered down, when you pay that much money for a drink you expect the first few sips to be great before the ice waters it down. I have had this at other Starbucks before and it had much more flavor. I will not be stopping at this Starbucks again.
Michael H — Google review
Good atmosphere, friendly staff, but good lord, the coffee sizing scheme is foolish. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, and they dont even put the cream cheese on the bagel for you. I spent /$15/ dollars, and they dont even finish the bagel. A /bagel/. Never going again. Actually insulting beyond description.
Devon B — Google review
Waited for over half an hour for a hot coffee with cream and sugar. Got my daughters drink 25 minutes in then the barista said the names of the next 3 people and my name wasn’t on the list. Think they would have made the drinks in order. I waited another 10 minutes but had to get to an appointment. If you’re not going to make the drinks of people who walk in don’t have walk in service.
John — Google review
Closing down the inside to only focus on drive-thru is definitely a bad choice. Especially considering there are clearly not enough staff to maintain drive-thru without 10-car lines forming. Additionally, the lack of response from management is disturbing. Responding to every comment with the same automated message makes you look just as lazy as the workers leaving boxes strewn about the lobby.
Olive B — Google review
Very very dirty inside the store. Stuff thrown everywhere. 30 minutes for a coffee. Multiple employees not really doing anything. Extremely dirty store including the bathrooms. Couldn’t sit anywhere because of box’s and pallets everywhere in the dinning room

Dunkin' is a well-established chain that offers an array of delicious breakfast options and a wide selection of coffee beverages. The Bangor Street location stands out as a favorite among customers due to its accurate order fulfillment and consistent availability of products. The bagel with strawberry cream cheese provided by this Dunkin' location brought great joy to one customer's daughter.
Every time I go there the food is always so good, and my drinks are always perfect!!! The employees are always so sweet and understanding, every time I go there’s these two sweet girls working! One has blonde and brown hair and always helps me out with my orders when I mess up and the other one has straight blonde hair, and is always doing such a great job, I believe named Hailey! I messed up my order the other day and they helped me out without question! They’re definitely some of the best workers and go beyond requirement! They definitely deserve a raise! I most definitely recommend stopping there!

I ordered a cold brew coffee and it tasted like straight water had to go in and order two espresso shots. I worked at Dunkin recently so I understand when things get messed up if your cold brews that light don’t serve it to customers

Zero stars. I honestly see no reason in keeping this dump open any longer. Wait times are ridiculous, they ignore you at the counter prioritizing the drive-thru customers. Just today I witnessed the so called manager interviewing someone and after that he gets up looks at the line of us at the front counter and disappeared. I'm done with this location and so should everyone else.

This is THE WORST DUNKIN IN AUGUSTA!!! It took over 23 minutes in the drive thru to get my coffee!😡😡😡 Plus I ordered some munchkins to be all glazed, and I got blueberry ones and one glazed! It's not the employees fault, it's the managers fault because they are always short staffed.
Ivan T — Google review
Driver thru is always 20-30 minutes long, even for 5-6 cars. Either poor management, poor training for optimized employees, poor wages so nobody wants to work or a bad work environment so people quit. Something, corporate take note.. I’m not the only one that has issues.

Always come in the morning to get my coffee before work, only this morning the store manager Jacob told two crew members to shut up "jokingly" while his crew was working to get orders out as soon as possible. After, he turned to a newer girl and mocked what she said when she had asked for him to stop being so rude to his crew members. After seeing a store manager disrespect so many women on shift during peak breakfast hours, I was appalled, and got my coffee and left. I won't be returning to this location.

I usually stop in the afternoon when leaving work.. no issues. The two times ive stopped in the morning though. Thats different both times ive order ahead through the app. The first time i ordered way ahead and it still wasnt ready and i had to ask for my donuts. ( dozen) today i orderd ahead so my coffee wouldnt be so hot when i got it. But to my pleasant surprise they gave my coffee to someone else after i waited in drive thru to pick it up and defeated the purpose of letting it cool. She said sorry but that only works for so long. I will still stop there but certainly hope they pay a bit more attention

Was just in there today 11/11/23. The worse customer service! No one was helping us and finally I believe it was the manager came out, annoyed and rude to take our order. Then she made them wrong, gross and bitter. She was upset bc she had to get up and do something. The girl making food was eating some of the bacon that fell from the food she was making. There’s was a young guy there and he remade the drinks, he did a great job! Make him manager and get rid of the lazy pants there!

Dunkin' is a beloved, long-established chain that has become synonymous with breakfast on the go. Ordered a hot chocolate and a matcha on mobile order, also got some free munchkins with it with points. Showed up in drive thru, took almost 20 minutes just to get to the speaker with only 1 car ahead of us. When we got there, we tried to tell them that we were just picking up a mobile order but they just said hold on a minute. We waited for another 5 minutes and then we had to ask if they were still there. A different voice said they were understaffed (while an employee was smoking a cigarette outside), and we again said that we had a mobile order. They seemed surprised by that and said we could pull up. The car in front of us was still at the window and it took another 5 minutes for them to be done, so now we're at 30 minutes and only just told them we were there for a mobile order. When we got to the window, they at least had our drinks ready but were apologizing profusely. The person at the drive thru didn't even hand us a straw with our drinks and seemed shocked when I asked for one, she literally had a blank look on her face after that. And they didn't even have munchkins available and didn't offer anything because of that. And that hot chocolate was more like hot water, not good at all. Take your business elsewhere. 2 drinks from Dunkin should not take over 30 minutes.
Alex W — Google review
Worst Dunkin iv ever been to. I’ve been numerous times in hopes hey could I better and had the most awful experience this last time. Waited five minutes at the speaker only to find the worker hanging out the window talking to someone in their car. He only started making my order once I got there, which was 10+ minutes after I ordered. Then I heard teenagers inside screaming random things and giggling, then heard one start screaming help me while I saw the employee laughing. And then to top it all off, once again my coffee was wrong.
Alexis L — Google review
This location is terrible. Their driveway is full of pot wholes that are never filled. Every single time I go for a Latte, they are always using the excuse that the machine isn’t working. I would think Dunkin had enough money to get a new machine or at least have it fixed, you are a coffee place
