Gorgeous relaxing Lunch in the Garden! Tapas was absolutely delish and great size on portions too! Friendly service as always! Get yourself down there!
Had an incredible Sunday roast (and dessert!). The food was so good, especially the cheesy cauliflower 😍 the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great - lovely cosy fire going. Had a roast, dessert and a few pints - definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
We went here on a Saturday night and it was busy so it's worthwhile booking ahead. The food was unexpectedly great quality and generous portions. You pay a few pounds more than other pubs but I would definitely go again as the food was far better than most pubs we have gone to.
We had pork belly, steak and ale pie and someone had a burger. The pork belly was a large piece with perfect crackerling and it sat in amazing gravy. The slice of pie was twice the size you normally see with a choice of mash, chips or fries. The pie was also sat in gravy and was amazing. And finally the burger and chips were very good.
We just had a birthday celebration meal for 15 at the Gladstone.. wow. What can I say..we thoroughly enjoyed it ! ..I had the sirloin and honestly one of the best...everyone said how great it was there and loved the food..We can definitely recommend and will be going again soon.

Visited today with friends & had the most amazing meal. The burger with stilton was absolutely gorgeous and I opted for the smaller portion of the chocolate brownie which was perfect. Incredible food, relaxed atmosphere & beautiful venue. Will 100% return. Thank you!
Fabulous food extremely generous portions & very reasonable for quality style and presentation. Sunday lunch is also the best. Well worth the travel from Bristol and can’t wait to return soon
Really good place. Friendly service. Good options for drinks and the food looks good even if I've not yet tried it.
The garden has recently been spruced up and is really good. Rarely too busy out there even in glorious weather and you can hire part of the garden for a party which looked like it was going well for the group there when I was there.

We had breakfast 3 times whilst there.my granddaughter and myself.didnt realise our boss booked us for continental so we upgraded to fry up.10 out of 10.plenty to choose from. unlimited.and drinks.

Christmas menu - loaded nachos. Well, asking for the vegetarian option (1st to order apparently so they didn’t know what was on there) arrived with turkey on top (minus the bacon 😳) not vegetarian!!
Main - salmon 🤢 check out the vile potatoes!! Rotting and no idea why the cook couldn’t see this on plating up!!
Manager gave a free pudding but after reading more reviews, never again!

Recently visited on a drive back from the coast. Plenty of parking, food available all day, well priced selection and there's a variety of discounts and savings on meals, breakfast and repeat visits. Carvery on Sunday until 18.00.
A great pub in Chippenham. In stayed at Chippenham for a night during my business visit, so visited this pub for dinner.
The food was lovely, freshly made and good portions.
The place was really quiet with few dinners and drinkers.
There's a large outdoor area with benches and outdoor lighting that looks beautiful.
They offer happy hour drinks that are really good value.
Had booked a table but arrived and were told to look for our own table and then order at bar. Only 2 people taking orders so had to join a queue with 8 customers in front of us.
After ordering and paying we were told that there was a 1 hour wait for food. Asked about food after 1 hour and told that it would be another 20 minutes.
Came here on a night out with my family and everything was just wonderful. When we first walked in my family and I were greeted by Gina who was very warm and welcoming and was also later served by Gina who was patient and treated us with respect. The waitress ciera was very kind and even offered us desserts. Also when dining at this restaurant we found it to be very clean and neat, the toilets were clean and tidy and smelt fresh.
Stayed at premier inn, thought we would use the meal deal option. This place is severely understaffed. The staff that are there are not a happy bunch. Food took ages and when the main came over an hour after ordered, my medium steak was very well done, food was cold, chips had been refried till crisp, peas were grey. We run a restaurant pub, I would be ashamed to send out what we received. I would have complained but the bar was 8 deep and no one on it, so couldn't wait, and didn't feel the complaint would have gone anywhere anyway. There was a guy in black who was not happy when my hubby asked for his pint topped up.

The Prince of Wales Micropub is a charming gem nestled conveniently between the train station and the town center, making it an ideal stop for both locals and visitors. Despite its small size, this micropub boasts a vibrant atmosphere filled with friendly staff and patrons. With a rotating selection of high-quality craft beers and ciders from local breweries, there's always something new to try on tap.
A lovely micro brewery, a great selection, a really knowledgeable guy to talk through all drinks, a real chilled vibe, and the IPA i had were amazing. All in all, it was a great place. I was so happy I found it

It's always lovely to pop in with the dog, great atmosphere. They're regularly changing the ciders so I try a new one every visit. I like that you can bring you're own food, I've ordered chips from down the road and brought a brownie from the coffee shop, always accommodating
Popped in here pre match. Excellent choice of 10 taps. Ray was very friendly & extremely knowledgeable about his beers. Only a 2/3 minute walk from the station. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who's ever in the area looking for a good beer.
When your therapist says “think of a happy place” this is what I think of. There is no place I’d rather be than here. Staff are wonderful; the regulars are always interesting and visitors are disarmed by how friendly everyone is.
Such a cool little place, the Barman was brilliant had a great knowledge of beers there was a really good selection and was reasonably priced, 100% worth stopping in if your in the area.
It is certainly a micropub in size but not in character. Conveniently located en route from the train station and not too far from the town centre (5mins walk). A small seating area but frequently changing line up of local and boutique brewery beers and ciders. Surprisingly inexpensively priced and friendly staff and locals. A lovely 'little' find and definitely one to revisit.
Hands-down the best spot for the tastiest of craft beers in Chippenham. There's nothing on tap, or in the fridge, that isn't a high-quality brew. Bar snacks are on offer but the micropub welcomes BYO food. My pineapple sour was excellent - served up by a friendly and knowledgeable fellow. A fine spot for a tasty stop.

Just popped in here after football with a coach load nice pub on the mainstreet just had a couple of beers 🍺🍺 barman was friendly and polite even-though he was busy, locals were friendly, had a nice time. 🏴☠️ UTG.
Apart from the fact we got in there and there didn't appear to be anyone to serve us for 10 min was alright, cheap enough plenty of seating, Sport on the TV (Football). Would of been 5 stars but service was questionable when we visited.
Majority of staff are fine. Unfortunately cannot say the same for Lorna - not a nice lady. Extremely bad attitude and very rude. Could be heard making nasty remarks about customers and staff! Can I suggest a 6 month holiday twice a year for her so costumers and staff may enjoy the pub. Such a shame.
Unsure about the food but never attempt to set foot in this place ever again, due to two doorman being exceptionally rude, and discriminating towards my partner as we approached. The kind of behaviour that is abhorrent in today’s society and rightfully so. All of this whilst smirking, she has a disability, and standing smoking cigarettes saying we weren’t welcome. Disgraceful disgraceful behaviour from the pair of them. I would encourage as many as possible to boycott the place.

Was pretty disappointed with the guy running the karaoke. Absolutely no order to who was going up, some people putting songs in and going straight up while others waiting ridiculous amounts of time and having to ask to be let up. Not a very good system.
Edit. Went recently Friday the 16 th. and was nice to see pubs still getting business. Lovely bar staff.

Negatives were I was constantly walking in the toilets to be blocked by people who seemed to like sniffing things from paper? And rubbing there gums ?
Will return as it is a nice chilled pub but won't stay as late as last time. Might have been a one off.
Management seem to agree with keeping things legal which is good.

A really good selection of beers, plenty of seating and good service.
Probably one of the best pubs in Chippenham. It has a decent number of ciders and beers on tap. Prices are reasonable. Seats aren't comfortable at all so I think they could some new furniture to sit in. Bar snack choice is nice as well. Service could be friendlier.
Excellent establishment. Local pub feel but really well maintained with excellent beers on tap and bottled. When I came in they had Deya on tap and lots of Belgian beers in the fridge.

Lovely vintage style pub in the center of Chippenham less the 4 mins walk from the station a variety of popular and less seen drinks the pubs decor is great if you love old timey style pubs. Bar tender was friendly and it seemed like a nice atmosphere with fair prices for the service and for that vintage bar feel
Its interesting what they have done with the place..The beer range while very drinkable...lacks depth it's all very much of a muchness..they brew it all in malmesbury...but it lacks variety...no real hippy beer... great lady behind the bar...she is a real asset and doubtless holds the thing together...you still bang your head coming out of the toilets...
Well worth a visit five cask ales and three cider pumps. Also a good selection of cask ales.

"The Kingfisher" is a fantastic place located in Cotswold, offering more than expected for travelers. The accommodation is well-equipped with modern amenities and the owner lives nearby for any assistance. With five bedrooms, including four convenient suites upstairs, it's perfect for large families. Visitors have praised it as a great spot for a day out and fun. This lovely pub has won an award and will be visited by a cabinet minister to celebrate its significance to the community.
Called in Friday with some of our friends while attending a motorcycle rally nearby. Cracking little pub, good laugh with the locals and excellent burgers. Will return.

I really enjoy going to the kingfisher. The people who frequent the place are always friendly. There has never been any trouble during the time i have been there. The staff are great & the landlady trina is a great laugh and would bend over backwards to help you out. Love the place.
Parked up round the corner in the wagon and came across the pub. Very polite staff. Atmosphere from the locals was very good. If in the area again I will return.
I am an infrequent visitor to this fine pub. I go to watch football when I am in Chippenham. The beer (6x) is excellent, the staff incredibly efficient and friendly. It is what a local should be! Welcoming, excellent beer, value food, multiple screens and a feeling of being safe., especially when watching football.
Equally, the building and interior are always immaculate .
Highly recommend this place.
Trip down memory lane. My wife and I used to use this pub when we were courting some 60 years ago. Not changed much. Car park gone. It's still very nice. 👌

Very well run club. Pool table and dart board in the bar. Snooker tables upstairs and a skittle alley. Great pint and prices are good, especially if you are a member. Very often have tribute acts on and are very good.
Great up-and-coming music venue, but it has lost its way with the music recently. It had some exceptional bands with sound and lighting to match but just seamed bland with poor sound quality in the last 2 visits. On one occasion, I'd thought I'd turned up at a band practice, absolutely no one there. What happened to the promotion?
Lovely venue for private parties and events. Function room in the back is multi purpose, have been to an Office Christmas party, a Charity oxing night and a Wedding reception. Reasonably priced drinks and a fair selection of on tap and options and Gins but be careful Gins are served as doubles as standard 😉
I had my retirement party there on Friday night all a bit last minute but they were very helpful.
The atmosphere is great drinks are cheaper especially if you join the club lounge bar and skittle alley/ dance hall smack bang in the centre of town. Thoroughly recommended..

The cocktails were strong, with good quality alcohol and garnishes to use. Whilst we enjoyed our drinks, the girls did a great job of tidying up after us as the night went on (which was much appreciated!!) We all had an amazing time and still talk about it now. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing something different for a birthday or hen do celebration.

We were looking for a wedding coordinator to run our wedding day and were recommended Melt weddings by a friend. I knew we only wanted someone to run the day as I was happy to book and sort all the suppliers leading up to the wedding. After looking at the packages we settled on the Bronze package. The booking process was super easy and Thea who I initially communicated with was fantastic. First impressions of Melt were really good. A month before our wedding Thea introduced me to our wedding coordinator Siobhan. Siobhan arranged a call with us over Zoom where she explained everything. By this point the stress had started to kick in a little with all our suppliers emailing/contacting us (we booked a dry hire venue which meant everything had to be booked separately). After our initial meeting I felt like a huge weight had been lifted and even referred to Siobhan as my guardian angel! She knew her stuff, really put us at ease with her organisation and suggestions. The process couldn’t haven’t been smoother. We communicated right up to the wedding and had another meeting just before to go through all the last minute bits. There was things I hadn’t even considered but Siobhan had them covered! I’d honestly say if your getting married and you need a wedding coordinator - hire Melt weddings/Siobhan because you will not regret it!
On our wedding day, Siobhan arrived at a time which suited our needs, she was literally a star! She did everything and made our day run perfectly smooth!! She was on hand for everything, even capturing some perfect shots/videos for us. We couldn’t thank Siobhan enough for what she did for you and our wedding would not have been the same without her. She totally captured the vision and just ensured we were totally stress free and had the best day we could wish for. Our wedding day couldn’t have run any smoother and that was all down to Siobhan. I would highly, highly recommend. We also booked our lighting through Melt productions, they have a range of other stuff should you require it/or have forgotten it. 100% recommend! Siobhan and the Melt Weddings team were absolutely instrumental and fantastic in helping us pull off a large, colourful and high energy 160 person outdoor wedding.
Throughout the entire process, Siobhan was not only highly efficient but also professional, a great communicator and super dynamic in the execution of our vision and dream for the wedding. Her resourcefulness and ability to think on her feet meant that on the day the wedding went as smoothly as a wedding of this size could go - it was honestly impressive and we had a lot of moving parts!

Wonderful food and very pleasant staff. We were a group of four and all had a variety of things off the extensive menus. We were all very happy with our choices. This is not a cheap eating experience (£107 food and drink for four) but the quality explains the cost. If budget is an issue they do a two course more basic menu for £18 a head. This was our first visit, and we will definitely be back very soon. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The food was amazing. We got the fish special, fish and chips, and liver pate. All were amazing. There were so many gluten free options! Many wine and drink selections as well. There is a lovely backyard area you can sit in with a drink while waiting. Very friendly for kids as well. Very delightful atmosphere as well. Recommend having a reservation!
Once a year I'll head down to Wiltshire to visit the family, we always go for dinner at the Langley Tap, A hidden Gem in the heart of Wiltshire. A cosy little pub with quirky decor, the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the locally sourced menu. We had booked on a busy Saturday night, the place had a good buzz about it, the staff coped with ease managing all the tables. I started with Pheasant Bon Bon's with frizee leaves and grain mustard creme, just the right ratio of meat to potato in each perfectly formed ball, lovely and crispy on the outside. For the main course two of us had the Pork Chop with braised red cabbage and dauphinoise potatoes, Wow!!!! 👌 It will probably be one of the best dishes I'll eat this year, the Chop was perfectly seasoned with a good amount of fat that had been sealed in the pan, the red cabbage was sweet and savoury with a hit of vinegar and star anise. Book ahead to avoid disappointment
We have officially found our stop for whenever we're traveling on the M4. We had our 3 month old with us and Ashleigh (sorry if it's spelt wrong!) seated us at a table where we'd have space to put her car seat which we were very grateful for. Any questions we had regarding the menu were met with knowledgeable answers and helped us make a decision on the food we chose. Our courses came out at good speed, but at no point did we feel rushed. The quality of the food was absolutely outstanding, the flavours all complemented each other perfectly and the portions were exactly the amount you need to feel comfortably full.
Everything about this visit, the service, the food, the pub itself and the atmosphere was 10/10 for us, we honestly can't wait to come back!
We had a lovely lunch, only one veggie main option [ratatouille] but it was delicious.
Staff were so attentive and inviting and the pub is immaculately clean. We would very much recommend you go and try the food as the pub is great and a real treat and just a couple of miles from Chippenham centre.
Ideal to take overseas guests here too as its an archetypal English pub with lovely food, what more is there to love?

Wonderful, hearty, elevated pub grub in a traditional English pub. Warm, attentive and friendly staff. A local gem that’s worth a commute. If that doesn’t sell it for you the £2 pints of local stout will.
Food was mediocre at best. Ordered steak medium to well done - arrived medium to well done however no garnish on greenery - an over cooked tomatoe and a sauce that was served like warm at best and tasted awful.
Price £34 for meal and small beer. Over priced - get better steak meal in a Wetherspoons - though they stopped doing steak recently
£25 for 3 meat slices is way too expensive! Sorry, but it's not good enough for the price paid. Hardly any chicken, too! The one slice of beef was very fatty. The pork was nearly all fat!
Also £8.00 for a dry tiramisu is terrible, worst desert I've ever had!
Drinks are very expensive!

Ooooooommmmmmggggggg what is not to love my favourite place well done kudos I gone for vegan/veggie option just for change and it was fabulous.Thank you my last visit before I leave UK for good .Broken heart but full of hope on new path to travel a world .You are amazing keep going forever.

Amazing pub, so welcoming and service was excellent. The food was outstanding too.
We had a family meal for a 90th birthday celebration in a private function room. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The selection of drinks is great and the food was fantastic.
Excellent food and service as always. We came for a family celebration, mix of adults and children and the menu catered for everyone as did the super friendly staff.
This place is a real gem and delivers every time we’ve been.

Myself and my bf stumbled upon the pub on a Sunday, late afternoon. It was fab!
The food was so nice.
Breaded cheese starter with red onion.
Beef roast was nice, but the beef was a bit too chewy (and hurt my teeth)
My bf had chicken and loved it. He followed his main with a sticky toffee pudding and I had the chocolate brownie.
We only managed dessert as we had so long being left at our table that by the time someone came over we had space for dessert.
Would be nice if the staff were a bit more attentive, but that’s all. Overall everything else was great!
Four of us had the Sunday Roast, and all four gave it top marks. The roast lamb was succulent, and the beef looked amazing. It was really busy on arrival, I think that says it all really. Recommend booking. Very good service too.

The food is freshly done and tastes so good. The atmosphere is so nice as feels like I'm around family because it is run by a lovely family. The homemade cocktails are perfect and refreshing. This place is also dog friendly

First the order came out wrong. Apparently the notes didn't go to the kitchen about no cheese on burger. Then burger came out raw. Told the server and he walked away
First and foremost, the dishonesty of the staff needs to be mentioned. The sirloin steak is listed on the menu as £14, but they charge £20 instead. And don’t even get me started on the beer ٫they charge whatever price they feel like, with no consistency.
It’s hard to believe you’re in the UK, where honesty and transparency are supposed to be standard. This place feels like a remote bar in the middle of nowhere.
The customer service is shocking ٫ it’s as if the staff think you work for them.
I absolutely do not recommend coming here. The food is poor quality, and the tables are sticky and dirty.
Plenty of Ales and Lagers to choose from. The food was excellent and not too expensive. Large screen Tvs are in all areas to watch the Sport. Pool table and Dart board for use.Staff are very friendly and helpful. Disabled toilet on the ground floor, Other toilets are upstairs. A room is available for hire at the rear with its own bar. Will return. Recommended
I never leave reviews bad or good, but after my experience here last night I felt I needed too, I waited at the actual bar first in line and nobody would serve me at all. I was sober and all I wanted was a soft drink. I got the the bar at 1am and got a drink at 1:35am. I was stood there the entire time while the staff ignored me and served others around me. While I explained that I had been waiting the bar staff just shrugged it off and I was completely confused as to why? I would understand if I was highly intoxicated of being rowdy but I just stood there in silence and waited patiently just to be looked over again and again. The bar staff were rude and dismissive. I’m not sure where the entitlement comes from?

So this isn't my first visit to the brunel and normally if anyone wanted to come to Chippenham and needed somewhere to eat drink and watch the football id say to go here, however today was not good, I ordered a jacket potatoe it took nearly 40 minutes! Its a jacket potato, I can almost guarantee it wasn't fresh but I except that but then it shouldn't take that long, I had to wait a further 5 minutes just to get cutlery, everything ok here?

Really wonderful and incredibly friendly independent café/wine bar; very accommodating with a great array of coffees, teas and hot chocolate that can made according to dietary requirements and restrictions. Alcohol is served from 12 with a good range from old and new wine and beer. Thoroughly recommend The Cellar; it is a hidden gem! and will definitely be revisiting!

Loved our Sangria class! It was really generous with lovely canapes and a great selection of ingredients to choose from. Bryan made everyone feel very welcome and have some very useful tips. Delicious!
We attended the sangria workshop and it was a fun, small group of people. Learnt that one of my mixtures was good and the other two not so good. Highly recommend attending a class.
Stumbled upon this pleasant - slightly hidden - venue in search of a light lunch. We felt the food was nice but not hugely memorable, except for the ultimate brownie, which we definitely recommend and would order again.
Service was friendly but bit mixed, part of our drinks order got forgotten and there was a lot of - to us seemly unnecessary - confusion when we reminded the staff about it.
Would visit again.
We attended a wine tasting session led by Bryan. As usual, it was very popular and hugely informative. The canapés/nibbles with each wine were exceptional and to share the experience with friends was a great pleasure.
