Sausalito Bakery & Cafe is a beloved spot in the neighborhood, known for its relaxed atmosphere and delicious offerings. The cafe serves up an array of freshly baked goods every morning, from cinnamon rolls to bagels and croissants. Locals and tourists alike gather at this charming cafe to enjoy breakfast sandwiches, scrambles, and delectable desserts like bread pudding made with fresh ingredients.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a great spot in Sausalito! I had a wonderful experience at Sausalito Bakery & Cafe. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the sandwiches and small bites were just as impressive — really good quality and full of flavor. Everything tasted homemade and carefully prepared. Plus, the view is absolutely beautiful — a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommended!
Ra S — Google review
Nice cafe on the waterfront where you can just sit and watch the world go by. We ordered the cookies and I will be honest they are more like rock cakes than cookies. The lemon and blueberry one is most like a biscuit/cookie and was delicious. Best cup of tea I had in San Francisco area so highly recommended 👌
Victoria A — Google review
Beautiful bakery and cafe with a beautiful view of the water front and the Golden Gate Bridge. The staff were warm and welcoming. Food - The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the sandwiches were great. They have a large assortment of salads, sandwiches. They have fresh home made pastries. Chocolate chip cookie was good too. You can sit outside or inside. Nice breakfast available. Closes at 5 pm

What a perfect way to end my Golden Gate Bridge walk! After hoofing it all the way from San Francisco, I was starving and this little gem in Sausalito was exactly what I needed. The green storefront caught my eye right away - it’s got that classic small-town charm that makes Sausalito so special. I ordered their omelet with bacon and it was absolutely delicious. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy, and they gave me some great multigrain toast on the side. The fresh fruit was a nice touch too. Everything looked freshly baked and you could smell it the moment you walked in. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy - perfect for refueling after a long walk. Plus, you can’t beat the location right in downtown Sausalito.
Rhett B — Google review
The vibes here are quite amazing. Amazing decor inside and the ability to sit outside. The food is a little pricey and nothing extravagant for what you are paying. The staff is really nice as well.
Pratham D — Google review
Cute café right off the road with views of the bay. You can sit outside or inside. They have a large assortment of salads, sandwiches as well as breakfast food. The have amazing pastries. We got a huge chocolate Chip cookie.

It’s a lovely café and bakery, run by a kind Iranian couple who pour their hearts into everything they do. The place feels like home — every meal tastes like something your grandmother would make, full of love and care. Their food is incredibly healthy and comforting, and the couple themselves are some of the sweetest, most welcoming people you’ll ever meet.

This was the best little bakery. Food was EXCELLENT and coffee was good too. Lots of items to pick from. Definitely worth stopping!!

Tea house
Firehouse Coffee & Tea is a cozy community cafe located near the Southern Marin Fire Station. It offers a selection of organic teas and coffees, along with sandwiches and pastries. The atmosphere is casual, with free Wi-Fi available for patrons. The cafe has a nice location opposite the scenic boat pier and provides plenty of 2-hour free street parking nearby.
Great place to post up and do a little work. The ham and cheese quiche was filling, and the crust was done perfectly. The raspberry peach scone was good too, but I recommend only one pastry unless you’re starving, since they’re filling.
Tom F — Google review
This is my second time at the Firehouse in Sausalito. Today I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Dana. I was on my way to look at an office in Sausalito and as I drove through town I remembered that a year ago I stopped at a very cool cafe. I remembered it because the guy at the counter, D. J. was so kind and helpful, telling me where this and that was around town. He took the time to help me while I was being sort of a tourist. So today I found that cafe again and got some work done there on my Mac. Thank you Dana and D.J. Janette
Janette A — Google review
As a coffee enthusiast I am always looking to support local places that put effort, care, and quality into their coffee. Firehouse does a brilliant job crafting excellent dark roast coffees. The young gentleman barista in the morning makes my flat white so beautifully. Not many places do a flat white so I'm very appreciative. On top of it, service is friendly and warm. Highly recommend and will be back! Many thanks, Emi
Emi N — Google review
Amazing place and a must visit if you’re in Sausalito. I came up here for a day trip and decided to work from the cafe. I had a pumpkin spice latte and a waffle, both which were amazing! The WiFi is great, and bathroom is very clean as well. The staff is very friendly and I loved the vibe. It is a smaller space so can get a little noisy, but still plenty of space to sit and work, and plug points. Would highly recommend and I’ll definitely be here again!
Srujan D — Google review
I ordered the churro latte and it was INCREDIBLE. The flavor is rich without being too sweet, just like a fresh churro. You can tell they use high-quality coffee. Cozy vibe and great service.
Thamires C — Google review
Plenty of inside and outside seating and friendly people they have couches and wooden tables and desks. My cousin and I got a hot mocha as well as an iced one The hot mocha was perfectly balanced, just a tiny bit on the sweet side, but not in a weird commercial coffee type of way. Mellow middle notes of chocolate. The iced mocha was evenly blended, and there were no granulated pieces of chocolate floating around, which is something I admire. Unrelated: they have a doggie bowl outside for your puppers. And they have snacks for them inside. These are dog friendly people. My only request is to have some savory items inside. I saw a quiche, but I’d love to have a ham and cheese croissant.
Vineet S — Google review
Firehouse is a truly perfect cafe. The dog friendly and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel at home, and their wonderful food and pastries are delicious. I am never disappointed when eating there. My food and drink come fast and taste great. The workers are friendly, kind, and patient. I have no complaints.
Deirdre M — Google review
It’s a nice little personalized coffee shop with sweet and friendly staff. It’s right opposite to the scenic boat pier, so location is great. Plenty 2 hr free street parking available nearby. Cappuccino was really strong - perfect to my taste. Overall great selection of coffee, tea and quick bites. Comfy mismatched couches to give out cozy feeling. Although, I would really have loved a real cup for a $4 coffee instead of a paper cup, which was little tiny though!

This popular Sausalito cafe serves up some of the best coffee in the area, as well as light eats like sandwiches and salads. The cafe also has a full kitchen on-site, making it a great spot to stop for lunch or breakfast. The standout dish here is the waffles - they're some of the best I've ever had!
Nice cafe with a laid back vibe. We ordered the veggie panini and avocado toast. The panini was excellent, the avocado toast was okay. The oat milk cappuccino was excellent. Indoor and outdoor areas for dining
Bharathi M — Google review
This place is incredible. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and great coffee. We ordered the protein avocado toast, berry compote waffle stack, black coffee, and an iced vanilla latte. Definitely check it out for breakfast if you are staying in or near Sausalito!
Nicole A — Google review
I love this local cafe and if you can get a seat it’s a great place to hang with a friend and have coffee or lunch. The salads/sandwiches are great but I had the worst blueberry muffin. Dry, barely any blueberries, and small so skip that one and opt for a croissant.
Kathy H — Google review
Ordered an espresso and a sparkling water, because I assumed the espresso would come solo, but they also brought out a small cup of sparkling water with the espresso. Very classy! They were out of tempeh bacon for the vegan BLT which was a bummer. I got the avocado toast without cheese instead and it was delicious though. Lastly, they had some outlets available to charge my ebike battery, which was a godsend so I had enough juice to get across the bridge home. Equator is famous for a reason?
Wilton G — Google review
Excellent espresso! Went back for a second the first was so smooth. They use a lighter roast for their espresso (the way it should be).
Michael C — Google review
It is a wonder place where locals routinely visit! I had Turkish eggs and it’s a bit spicy but loved this new taste.

Good place to have breakfast near the Sausalito waterfront. The place is a cafeteria dinning style, food is good but nothing extraordinary.

Beer garden
Joinery is a waterfront haunt in Sausalito that offers an extensive beer menu and casual New American cuisine. The communal-style beer hall and rotisserie open right onto the water, providing beautiful views. The Joinery burger with blue cheese and bacon, as well as the Porchetta sandwich with split-roasted pork loin, cracklings, and drippings are highly recommended. It's a great spot for lunch or dinner with a laid-back atmosphere.
We were recommended this on our cycle ride from San Francisco by Blazing Saddles. What a great rest stop for great food and Beer. With a place to lock up the bikes too. We sat outside as the weather was perfect in mid March however inside looked great too. Food is ordered and paid for at the register and then you find your own seat which always makes us a bit nervous but we loved the food. Great views of Marina and across Richardson Bay. A great location and not far from the ferry terminal back to the Bay.
John P — Google review
I freakin love this place. I went with a big group of friends for lunch while exploring San Fran/Sausalito, and absolutely loved it. I’m a huge chicken fan, so of course my likelihood of enjoying the food was higher; that said, I’d recommend it to anyone! I really enjoyed the simple menu, the modern vibe, and the fast service. They have a ton of seating, even for big groups. I got a half rotisserie chicken and fries. Man, those fries sure were greasy, but they were so good, and loaded with garlic. I’d for sure go back if I’m in San Fran again soon!
Kymble J — Google review
Nothing will ever beat sitting behind the restaurant - overlooking the pier that directly led to the ocean - on a sunny, breezy afternoon while eating the falafel sandwich. The food was so deliciously comforting - the falafel was warm, the ciabatta was perfectly soft, and the salty fries had that exact crunchy/rough exterior with a pillowy interior you’d want. Would love to come back!
Shreya R — Google review
Great spot for a casual lunch on the water. Front of house ordering and self seating adds to the simplicity of this spot. They're definitely kid friendly and it's a great spot to enjoy the sun, or view from afar. The pulled pork tacos are delicious and the chicken sandwich is loaded. I've been back multiple times, and will likely again!
Sofia F — Google review
Joinery is a beautiful waterfront spot in Sausalito to grab a casual lunch and beer. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Great beer selection! Loved the rotisserie chicken dinner (1/2 CHICKEN PLATE) which comes with potatoes and salad. The cold Radlers were delicious after a full morning of biking. Staff were very friendly! Indoor or outdoor seating
Tara F — Google review
Fantastic casual dining spot in Sausalito, right on the water! You can dine in the spacious group dining room or outdoor on the patio along water - if dining outside, be aware that hungry pigeons are underfoot waiting for crumbs, but they’re not as aggressive as they are in other areas I’ve been to. You pay for order and take a table with your order number, and they’ll deliver to your table. The menu caters to a variety of tastes, including some great vegetarian options like the Burrata + Butternut Squash. The burrata was fresh and creamy, and the generous slice of country bread featured a crispy crust and warm tender crumb. If one of your dining companions gets the Fried Chicken Sandwich, ask for some of their arugula to go with your burrata - trust me, you’ll love it. The milk shake was also generous with the ice cream - the paper straw it comes with will soften before you get through it!
Therese H — Google review
Great place for a more casual dinner on the bay. Right on the harbor, order at the front, and then find an open table. Food was good and place was full of families. Overall a fun atmosphere and great to be there on the water! Parking cost just under $9 for 2 hrs right to the left of the restaurant.
Matthew H — Google review
The food drinks and location was really good. Loved the burrata and their bread was so soft and fresh! The best I have had in a while. The service can be a little better.

The Trident is an iconic restaurant located over the water, featuring 60s art and woodwork. It offers a diverse menu including seafood, steaks, and Mexican dishes. The restaurant's San Francisco-facing deck is a popular spot to enjoy their famous cioppino and other delicious offerings. With every seat offering a view of San Francisco and Alcatraz Island, guests can savor local stone crab or beer-battered fish and chips while taking in the stunning scenery.
Overall, we had an excellent experience, having drinks at the Trident. The views are simply amazing and the patio is extremely nice. We did not have any food therefore we cannot recommend or rate that aspect of this restaurant. The cocktails we have were excellent.
D ( — Google review
Stopped at Trident after biking across the Golden Gate Bridge — such a perfect spot to unwind! They kindly offered free bike parking, which was a great bonus. The oysters were absolutely fresh and flavorful, and the fried calamari and shrimp were perfectly crispy and delicious. Great food, welcoming service, and unbeatable views. Highly recommend! 🦪🚲🌉
Bianca S — Google review
The food here was delicious! My waiter seemed a little off, not sure how to describe it and there were a lot of flies clustered around the restaurant. I would probably opt to order out moving forward.
Gionna — Google review
The view, even on a cloudy day is amazing! The service warm, friendly, excellent. I really enjoyed my lunch there . Need I say more? Go!
Rick F — Google review
Upon arriving and parking valet is on site. Believe it is $10 an hour could be mistaken. Arriving inside you are greeted by a nice wooden interior with plenty of windows to look at the bay and distant San Francisco city. The food itself is a bit on the pricier side but given the area it is expected. I ordered the Maine lobster tail which was about $68. The wait did not take too long. The veggies were great and the lobster tail was delicious. Overall a bit nice and pricy then I’m used to but good upscale with beautiful scenery.
K R — Google review
Full disclosure, we didn't plan on eating here. We pulled in to valet for the restaurant next door, but we're told parking was for Trident patrons only so we stayed. Let me tell you, fate brought us to the right place! It has a charming, old-school interior, an amazing location on the water (we saw a seal and multiple dolphins), strong, boozy cocktails to help you unwind and damn good food to sober you up after day drinking. Plus, with no wait for a table at lunchtime on a Saturday, it was a win all the way around for me.
Heather K — Google review
Never in my life have I received slower service. Absolutely mind blown that from the time we walked into the restaurant (NOT busy) it took us ~30m to receive a single beer at our table. Paid the check as soon as our drinks arrived and couldn’t leave soon enough. View was nice though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Mason S — Google review
Nice place to visit for the historical aspect but otherwise not worth the effort. The table was sticky and the place needs a deep clean and renovation. The Tequila Sunrise was average, my Chowder was good but everyone else was disappointed with their food. Nice view of the bay and SF and when every other restaurant was booked at 7pm on a Saturday, now we know why this one wasn’t. Cool Stones story and only in Marin County does the Gov’t put up a plaque memorializing the story quoting Keith Richards and the 72 Cocaine and Tequila Sunrise US tour.

Golden Gate Market is a beloved local liquor store that not only offers a wide selection of craft beer, wine, and spirits but also serves up delicious deli sandwiches. Tucked away in Old Town, this hidden gem boasts a little deli where friendly staff create generously filled sandwiches using top-notch ingredients. Just a short stroll down the hill from the market, visitors can relax on benches overlooking the stunning San Francisco Bay – offering one of the most beautiful views in the world.
Best coffee and sandwiches in Marin at Golden Gate market located in charming old Town Sausalito. Plenty of space outdoors or indoors to sit and relax while you enjoy your meal and watch the world go by or to do last minute shopping for dinner. Plenty of parking on site. Away from the hustle and busle. Highly recommend.

Great coffee, perfect barista and view of it the Bay make this a perfect stop for breakfast coffee in a neighborhood market and cafe. Siteglass beans gave or cappuccinos the right amount of burn and bean, complemented by a ginger pull apart and berry scone made for the perfect fuel for a morning hike in the close by Marin headlands. A great find.

This is a nice little grocery store with a long history. Some items in the store are a little bit pricey. However, a San Fransycho sandwich is very much affordable and actually very delicious. A very good coffee is available as well. Also, there is an incredible view nearby. Overall, the atmosphere in the store is friendly, service is just right. Finally, just one person opinion-it is probably the best place in the area to get sandwiches. Recomend!

The tri tip sandwich on Thursdays is exquisite! It’s wonderfully meaty with perfectly toasted bread. My office is only a couple minutes drive from here so I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Bridgeway Bagel is a quaint, cash-only cafe that offers a variety of New York-style bagels with an assortment of flavorful schmears. The menu also includes coffee drinks and juices. Visitors rave about the genuinely good bagels, sandwiches, and smoothies at fantastic prices - most sandwiches are priced under $6. Everything from the bagels to the cream cheese, cookies, and smoothies is made in-house and tastes great.
Took a bus from San Francisco planning to hike back from Marin. This place is a great place from which to start your day. Great selection of bagels so you're sure to find something to suit you.
Mehul V — Google review
The two bagels we got were bad, very dense, not risen at all, and hard to chew on. When we got to the store when it first opened in the morning, they were not ready for customers at all and there were only two types of bagels for us to choose from (plain and everything).

Really good bagel shop, fast, lots of options including smoothies. And strong coffee!

Napa Valley Burger Company is a cozy restaurant in Sausalito, California that offers carefully sourced gourmet burgers and fries, as well as local wines. The warm space features brick walls and has been serving customers since 1992. This family-owned establishment also offers Scandinavian classics like Danish meatballs and Norwegian salmon alongside their signature open-face Copenhagen burger. On Sundays, they offer a special brunch menu for visitors to enjoy.
Whether you’re going for lunch or dinner, Napa Valley Burger Company will not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Lucas, who was courteous, professional, and truly set the tone for a great meal. We decided to try the Turkey Swiss Avocado Burger which was a delightful combination of flavors—the juicy turkey patty complemented by the creamy avocado and melted baby Swiss cheese made each bite satisfying. The Fish Tacos were fresh and well-prepared, a great option for seafood lovers. The Waffle Fries—crispy, golden, with melted jack and cheddar cheese. With ranch dressing on the side, I just kept going at it. The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere with excellent food and service. If you're in the area and craving a great burger or some delicious comfort food, Napa Valley Burger Company is definitely worth a visit!

Chill environment. Music was low so you can have a normal conversation. There are a couple of TVs on. They have a full bar and draft beers. We just shared the onion rings. They were crispy with fresh onions. When you bit into them they had a crunch and the entire onion didn't pull out it came with Chipotle aioli and ranch.

I went here yesterday, and it was a really nice spot. The atmosphere was beautiful, very Napa-style, elegant and cozy inside, with a clean and pleasant vibe. The service was okay, nothing too special, but fine overall. We ordered an Angus beef burger with American-style hot dog sausage, and it was delicious. The highlight for me was definitely the sweet potato fries, seriously amazing, super crispy and flavorful. Although they did have a slight taste of old frying oil. Other than that, the food was great, prices were fair, and it’s a place I’d definitely visit again.
Caue H — Google review
The food was ok. The burger and fries were delicious. Our son did not like the chicken fingers. They were not fresh. Tasted like they were frozen. Two children thought the grilled cheese was ok. They were prepared on burger buns. One son had the kids burger and was happy. The golden margaritas are strong and delicious. The restaurant was very busy during lunch. The ambiance is kind of a pub like feel. The service was fast and friendly.

I do not have much to say except it's hands down my best burger ever. I've been there in 2018 & now in 2025 - nothing changed, always a great team, nice service & amazing burgers. You need to go there !

I never say "no" to a good burger.....and I'm certainly glad I didn't say "no" to this one! I ordered the "Sausalito Burger" and it ranks amongst the best burgers I've ever had, although a bit on the messy side (but what great burgers aren't?)! The accompanying fries were also cooked to perfection! The service was beyond efficient and the washrooms were spotlessly clean. Give them a try!!! I'll be returning!!!

This is one of the better dining options in Sausalito. Having said that, the food is good, but not amazing. We just wanted something super quick after having biked a good 5 miles, so we were just glad to get a seat. We sat at the bar. The bartender was pretty nice. We ordered a beer and a sangria. The sangria was delicious. I always rate my sangrias based on how much wine I taste, the less, the better because it means the drink is smoother. This one hit the mark there for sure. The food was just ok. We got their yountville burger and the fish tacos. The plates were big. The burger had bacon along with the usual suspects. Most of the plate was occupied by the salad. The burger was decent, just like any other burger. We didn't finish the whole thing because of how large the portion was. The fish taco plate came with 2 fish tacos and a big salad. The tacos were ok. There was a large piece of grilled fish with avocados. Between the two, the tacos were definitely better. They were difficult to eat because of how big the tacos were. These tacos are nowhere close to the real authentic tacos you'd get in San Diego but they were good enough. Salsa did not have any salt in it so it was disappointing. Pricing wise, the whole check is on the higher end of the range for what we ate, but that is Sausalito for you!

Poggio Trattoria is an upscale-casual Italian restaurant located in the heart of Sausalito, offering perfect outdoor seating for people-watching. The dishes are crafted from herbs and produce grown in their on-site garden, adding a fresh and authentic touch to their Northern Italian cuisine. The restaurant boasts a stacked wine cellar and serves up classic dishes such as agnolotti pasta, spaghetti, and soppressata pizza.
Absolute amazing dinner with family for a celebration. The best Italian food I can remember. Yummy from A to Z. We shared 3 appetizers, had 3 mains and 2 desserts, plus cocktails and wine (by the glass). Attentive, very friendly service, good recommendations. Nice atmosphere, low noise level. Highly recommended, we'll be back for sure!

We love coming here on weekends, great spot to walk around and enjoy a meal. The pasta is always our favorite, and today’s scallops were amazing. Salad was fresh too. Food can be hit or miss sometimes (dinner is usually better than afternoon), but overall, highly recommend.

Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Italian restaurant is an absolute gem! The food flavors are mouthwatering from start to finish. The halibut was so fragrant and delicious that people at the next table asked us what it was on the menu! The burrata was heavenly, creamy and fresh, and both the soup and salad were outstanding. Every bite felt like a celebration of authentic Italian flavors. Truly an unforgettable dining experience!

We enjoyed it here but it didn't quite live up to its reputation. Service was very good and it would be a 3.5 if the half point was available. We found it to be on the expensive side. Good wine list and drink selection. The atmosphere was nice but nothing special. The food was good but not amazing as the prices would dictate. Atmosphere: 3.5 Food: 3 Service: 4 Drinks:4 Price/Value: 2.5 Overall: 3.5

Our server was amazing, very helpful. We got a pizza with figs on the top. They said they keep the pizza dough in the fridge overnight. It’s legit, you should try! Also a pasta and pork chop dishes were good too.

Poggio’s is a Sausalito staple. Great for drinks at the bar with friends, nice lunch in their outdoor bistro seating, or a fancier dinner for a celebration. Our table took 20 minutes longer than our reservation time, so we got cocktails at the bar (the martinis are great). When we finally sat down in a back of the room booth, it was still quite loud, so just a note for your audience. We got the wood fired flatbread which is like thin crust pizza dough that’s crispy in the edges, covered in oil and garlic. Simple but delicious. For appetizers, the burrata with pesto was large, and the pesto alone was amazing. The prosciutto and melon (it was honeydew) was as expected but still good. For mains, the risotto was exceptional, full of flavor and tons of seafood. The pappardelle pasta dish was decadent with a quail ragu (and an impressive amount of meat). The spaghetti alla amatriciana was simple, but well executed with a good portion of sauce. For the non-pasta lovers, the short rib was fantastic with the creamiest polenta. It was a little strange that a large (cooked) onion was just added to the dish, but good nonetheless. Wrapping up with dessert, the budino is the chocolate lava cake of your dreams. Even non-chocolate lovers will appreciate it. If you do have allergies, they’re great about confirming with the kitchen since some ingredients aren’t listed on the menu. Biggest highlight of the night was our waiter Jamsheed. He was attentive, thoughtful, helpful, and did his job with flare. Will definitely asked for him next time we come!
Natalie C — Google review
Food: Pastas were flavorful, but the pappardelle were very sticky as due to it may gotten cooked way early and when the dish presented to us, the pappardelle were stick together and hard to eat. The half chicken was definitely not a full half size, unless it was a baby chicken used for the dish. Plus the taste and the cooking level of the dish was way unworthy of the value: skins overly cooked and I could find some carbonized smell, and as a result, inside protein was too well done. Service: we dined in around 12pm, and it wasn't too crowded or busy. It was a little hard for us to find our waitress for ordering a coffee when main dishes were completed and when we already had asked for a coffee menu. Plus I found the waitress was a little not caring for our table, but rather just go through the minimum motion of the work at our table.

This is my fourth time coming here, and the service with Francesco is always the best. He always explains the menu to me. He always tells me the specials of the day. If you're looking for a taste of the tropics without leaving Northern California, Lappert's Ice Cream is your go-to destination. This charming outpost of a beloved Hawaiian chain immerses you in an island vibe with its vibrant floral decor and leafy accents. The menu boasts an impressive array of 125 flavors, including must-try options like Kauai Pie—a delightful blend of coffee ice cream, chocolate fudge, and coconut macadamia nuts—and the indulgent Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel.
Great ice cream and sorbet flavors. It really tastes great. Usually busy but I find that after 7pm the crowd usually dies down. If you are in the area this is a must have Flavors occasionally rotate, so if they don’t have your flavor you might have to check another day. I wish they had Mango Sorbet in stock more often
Pika F — Google review
Honestly some of the best ice cream I've had in the bay. Tons of variety in the flavors, great texture in the ice cream, and a super nice location. Only reason this is not 5 stars is because they only allow tasting of 2 flavors and it's $7 for a single scoop. I know Sausalito is a more expensive area but that's still just absurd. With that being said though, the ice cream is fire. Worth trying out if you're ever in the area.

It’s a lovely icecreams parlour. Nice ambience and good variety of tasty icecreams. They have handcrafted, "super-premium" ice cream made with high-quality ingredients. We tried the Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel: Hawaii pink salted caramel fudge in sweet cream and Praline Pecan: Southwestern-style pecans in a caramel cream. These were good. Nice sorbets too. Seating is nice. Closes around 8.30 pm

As a child my mom and I walked across the Golden Gate Bridge to the ice cream. I was able to 40 years later take my children and husband to the Ice Cream Polar. We took pictures of the city and loved the ice cream just as I did when I was their age. Thank you for the great experience.

Had the Kauai Pie ice cream and it’s one of the best ice cream we ever had … the flavors of the ingredients just work so well: coffee, Macadamia nuts, coconut shreds, and others. Also it’s not too sweet therefore able to enjoy the flavors. Well done! Very impressive~

Green tea ice cream in waffle cone did the trick for me on a hot day. Cool down on a bench by the water and grass, with a book maybe. I found a nice spot by the ferry docks. I was happy with my free waffle cone for having completed Sausalito Public Library’s adult summer reading challenge- you can do it too! It’s awesome when you can read and get additional rewards. You get 2 free samples per person before having to select your flavor. I sampled the ube macapuno and was unimpressed- it didn’t taste much like ube, maybe more like coconut. I also sampled the date casablanca, which is vanilla ice cream studded with date bits and laced with caramel trails. I think if the date flavor was more incorporated in the whole ice cream, I could’ve gone for it. I’m glad I went with green tea and would recommend this flavor. It’s not the strongest green tea ice cream I’ve had but it was enough and I wasn’t looking for too strong today anyway.

Taste of Rome is an Italian cafe and coffeehouse located in Sausalito, by the boat docks in the San Francisco Bay Area. It offers a variety of Italian and American continental options such as pasta, salads, and more. The restaurant is known for its excellent customer service and authentic Italian food. With outdoor seating available during warmer months, patrons can enjoy their meals while admiring the sailboats. The cafe also provides live entertainment during dinner hours, adding to its pleasant ambiance.
Tried pesto pasta and fettuccine primavera pasta, it came with 2 bread slices, but we didn’t know and also ordered bruschetta and garlic bread..Too much bread! But the flavors were really good, loved the live music, and they had lots of vegetarian options.

Ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, wife got the seafood pasta. Took about 5 minutes for the food. Atmosphere inside is nice, cozy, tables are bussed quick. Two large meatballs with a tasty meat sauce. Plenty of spaghetti as well. Wife's seafood pasta had lots of seafood as well. Muscles, shrimp. She liked it. Per person ended up around $30 but that's fine I guess. Doesn't happen often and great place for food.

Really fun spot to be in if you’re craving Italian. It’s a walk up cafe/ restaurant. They give you a number and you sit and wait for your food. Good vibes and very chill. I loved the atmosphere. The cashier was patient and knew most answers for the questions I had. I had the Sausalito Pizza and Chicken Alfredo Pasta. It was bomb! The Alfredo pasta came with garlic bread. But overall it was great! I would recommend :)

Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Italian spot has a relaxed, free-seating style where you order at the register and the food is brought right to your table. We came as a group of 8, and the service was impressively fast — all of our dishes arrived hot and fresh. Everyone in our group was very happy with their meals. Great food, smooth service, and an easygoing atmosphere make this place a must-try!

Overall experience was ok for a vegetarian. There is a decent selection of pastas and pizzas. But if you are going here for ambience then I would not recommend it. Just a short distance from this restaurant, there are multiple eateries along the water with a much better view and outdoor seating.

Nestled in the charming town of Sausalito, Fish & Chips-Sausalito is a delightful family-run eatery that has been serving up delicious fast food for years. With its eye-catching pastel pink exterior, this spot is hard to miss. Chef Isaac Lappert has crafted a menu that features not only classic fish and chips but also an array of grilled seafood, burgers, and sandwiches like chicken avocado tacos.
Fish & Chips-Sausalito has amazing tacos. We ordered the fish tacos and the beef tacos, and they were both superb! There is very limited seating, but it's in a nice downtown spot with plenty of benches and park tables if you get your food to go. I highly recommend getting the tacos!

The fish and chips were very delicious! 🐟The deep-fried cod was the best—super crispy! A side of fresh-cut potato fries was also very good. I highly recommend trying it! The cashier guy wasn't friendly at all, which was a little disappointing. 😕

Was strolling through the Sausalito neighborhood and decided to stop here for a quick lunch. The location is fantastic, overlooking the bay! Parking can be a bit tricky, especially on weekends. There are a few public lots nearby, but they can fill up quickly. I went on a weekday so I got street parking in a walkable distance. As for the food, I ordered fish and chips and a beer. The portions are generous, making it great value for the price.

An amazing experience, the fried fish was perfectly crispy and had a large portion of fish inside, the tartar sauce tasted home made as well. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Got ice cream after and the scoop was HUGE! Worth every penny.

Delicious fish & chips, incredibly friendly staff, and timely service. The fish was cooked and breaded perfectly, with a satisfying crunch in every bite. The price matched the quality of what was served considering the higher prices of other spots along the downtown waterfront. The restaurant is decorated with fish paraphernalia and pieces of historical Sausalito that gives the place a great feel. Overall incredible experience and incredible food.

While on a tour, I chose this place to have a quick bite and what a good choice this was. Crisp tasty batter with fresh flaky and juicy cod on the inside. Both the fish and the fries didn’t even need any additional seasoning, it was that good. The fresh lemon 🍋 was all I added. This restaurant is really a good recommendation from me. Great service as well and not a long wait at all.

Sandrino Pizza & Vino is a charming pizzeria that offers a cozy atmosphere with its tile-and-wood setting. The owners, Alesandro Spaziani Montagna and Monika Torggler, bring their expertise from operating a restaurant in Verona, Italy. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, the restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.
Wonderful experience...like traveling to Europe without the jetlag! Monika and Alessandro are an Italian couple who've welcomed locals and tourists alike, creating a warm community that loves good food, music, and drink. Great place to make new friends. Don't miss the amazing lasagna, Caesar salads, and gnocchi a la Romana.

The food at San Drino Pizza & Vino is authentic, but it didn’t fully align with my preferences. Pizza: The pizza leaned too heavily on the cheese for my taste, with not enough veggies to balance it out. While it’s clearly crafted with care, the flavor profile didn’t win me over. Service: The staff was polite and attentive, but the service felt a bit slow at times. It could’ve been more prompt to match the restaurant’s otherwise high standards. Ambience: The ambience is cozy and charming, with a unique, welcoming vibe that sets the tone for a relaxed meal. San Drino delivers authenticity and a great atmosphere, even if the pizza didn’t quite suit my palate.

All I’m gonna say is that we came here very suddenly because every other places were closed from 4-5pm and that’s beautiful. Music is amazing ( calming and beautiful, that makes to feel super cozy), Service is so good with pleasant atmosphere and so many Italian stories. Food is 10/10 believe me I’m very picky! Make sure to try Panna cotta they do it differently with pistachio cream

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here yesterday. The Caesar salad had the freshest lettuce and the Greco pizza was superb. I only wish our server spoke some English as it was extremely difficult to communicate with her. At least she smiled when we asked her a question.

Incredible! I almost believe that the description of the restaurant doesn’t fit the true experience while eating here as well as quality of the food, wine and service. Came with a friend and had a salad, their special lasagna that day was truly the best I’ve ever had. Fabulous salad and a generous glass of delicious wine topped off with tiramisu and a cappuccino. To die for! We were waited on by the owner and he was so kind and appreciative of our compliments. The best restaurant during my 10 day Sausalito stay and one of the best meals I’ve had in a restaurant in ages. We will be back!

Sandrino: Where Sausalito Meets the Soul of Italy Nestled in the heart of Sausalito, Sandrino is more than a restaurant—it’s a sanctuary of flavor, warmth, and Italian authenticity. From the moment you step through its doors, you’re greeted not just by the scent of fresh basil and wood-fired crust, but by the kind presence of Alessandro, the owner whose gracious spirit infuses every corner of the space. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, with soft lighting, rustic textures, and a hum of conversation that feels like a family gathering. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and every detail—from the plating to the playlist—feels lovingly curated. The menu is a masterwork of regional Italian pride. Start with the Bruschetta Tartufo, a decadent blend of porcini and white truffle cream on toasted bread, crowned with burrata and aged prosciutto crudo San Daniele. Or opt for the Mozzarella Speck, where fresh mozzarella is wrapped in speck and paired with oven-baked cherry tomatoes and arugula—an alpine kiss of salt, smoke, and sweetness. Salads here are vibrant and layered. The Tirolese offers toasted seeds and a roasted speck-bread dumpling over organic greens, while the Burrata salad sings with sun-dried tomatoes and basil pesto. Each bite is a celebration of texture and balance. Pizza is the heart of Sandrino’s soul. Alessandro doesn’t do custom pies—and that’s a gift. Each creation is intentional, expressive, and deeply satisfying. The Parmigiana, with double tomato sauce, eggplant, and fresh basil, is a smoky, tangy triumph. The Romeo, topped with 24-month aged prosciutto San Daniele, arugula, and cherry tomatoes, is a poetic blend of savory and fresh. For bold palates, the Fra’Galdino—gorgonzola, onion, and walnuts—delivers a blue-cheese crescendo that lingers with elegance. Desserts are a love letter to tradition. Monika’s House-made Tiramisu is ethereal—light, rich, and kissed with espresso. The Panna Cotta, made with ricotta and layered with pistachio or coffee, is a silky finale that feels like a lullaby. Prices are refreshingly fair, especially given the quality, care, and portion sizes. Sandrino is a place where excellence meets accessibility—a rare and beautiful balance. But what truly sets Sandrino apart is Alessandro. His kindness, humility, and passion for hospitality elevate the experience from great to unforgettable. You’re not just dining—you’re being welcomed into a story, a tradition, a home. Bravo!

Great food, great wine. Outdoor tables are great! Service was unfortunately very poor and very pricey for what you get. We were left alone the entire meal, having to grab the attention of one of the two servers when we needed something. Waited over 20 to minutes for the bill, and eventually needed to go find a server inside to pay. As great as this place was, I will not be back.

Fantastic pizza. Some of the best pizza I've had in a while. We had two pizzas a spicy garlic pizza and the classic Margherita. Both were absolutely fantastic. We got the caprese salad as well which I felt could have done with some balsamic and the gnocchi. The gnocchi was unlike any I've had before but it was really great. The tiramisu was to die for but the chocolate cake wasn't as wonderful. Overall I'd still wholeheartedly give the 5 stars. Fantastic service from Monica and her husband, absolutely lovely people!

It has become a primary shopping destination for locals, providing a variety of locally cultivated products. The deli at Driver's Market offers a selection of fresh high-quality sandwiches and salads, making it a popular spot for light dinners.
Amazing little market! I love the wide variety of unique, fun, and healthy options packed into such a small store, without seeming over-crowded- the shelves are simply stocked with quality items. An especially impressive section for chocolate, teas, and produce looks carefully hand-selected to only showcase the cream of the crop. Very cute cards/gift bag section as well. Range of cheeses is very quality! Additionally, the deli is Great and has many tasty & nutritious options, including good plant-based choices. As a runner, I appreciate the section for bars/chews as well. The market is on the pricier side but well worth it in my opinion to splurge on something new & fun to try every once in a while or get a gift for a friend.

Look for the rosemary olive bread, it's the best bread I've ever had.

I've been in a casual committed dating situation with Drivers for the 5 years I have lived in Sausalito. First few visits I thought it wasn't good enough for me, I kept comparing it to Bi-Rite in SF. We kept trying to make it work and every visit I found more things to love. It turns out I've been slowly falling in love with this understated gem and now I am in a full blown love affair with this place. From their delicious breakfast Burritos (well constructed, perfectly spicy, and relatively healthy with sautéed greens and a whole wheat tortilla), Bentons bacon, Humboldt cherry cider, interesting and unique boutique Asian spices/ingredients, Bardstown bourbon, raaka chocolate, Della fattoria Meyer lemon bread, firehouse mikes pepperjack cheesr, etc etc this place has got it going on. And the service is terrific-I was able to special order acme bakery slider buns for a party and it's always nice to see the same crew. AND I scored the last bottle of Siracha on the planet here. I also noticed they have canned jackfruit- how rare is that?? I don't love their produce, it's trying hard and they stock the right items but it seems a bit past peak freshness. Next area of exploration will be their wine section.

Starbucks is a renowned coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering its signature roasts and light bites along with WiFi access. The Starbucks location in Downtown Sausalito faced closure due to severe damage caused by a fire, leaving uncertainty about its return post-restoration. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩🇺🇸 the rest of the stars for starbucks. blown away by your bio degradable cups even the cold drinks. i heard that customers are complaining. pls stay the course. currently we are drinking one credit card if micro plastic every day. it’s already in the water. ignore the rivian liberals. on the right side of history!

I love Starbucks! You can drive about anywhere in the country, and th drinks are consistent! Made with real flavors.. not chocolate milk!! 🤔 The worst thing about them all, is their hands off approach. By god.. if I have to swipe my card and enter tip info, yer not gettin' one!! And worse yet.. their default screen doesn't give you the "No Tip" option.. you have to hunt around to enter "$0.00". Consistent good coffee is great... but service wins every time. To their credit... it seems to be every Starbucks... not just this one. So, something must be broken at corporate??
Rod E — Google review
This has to be the worst run Starbucks in the chain.. they are very often out of stock on food items. “ Like almost always” even before 9am so it’s not like they just ran out after a busy day. The staff is a mixed bag of some very nice ppl but the weekends “sundays” the staff looks like there all hung over from the night before. Unfriendly and sometimes seem to be purposely slow in gettin your order. Not sure if this is a manager issue or just the lack of good people wanting to work in this store. But I’m at the point where I’ll drive a little further just to avoid a lousy start to my day waiting 25 minutes to get a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Hopefully Starbucks actually reads these reviews and gets their act together.

What a HUGE improvement in this shopping center!!!!!! New landscaping including palm trees, new pavement, towers, freshly painted buildings! Combine all that with the new Target, plenty of parking, a great view, and a convenient location right off the freeway - you've got a winner. Starbucks always has friendly, prompt service. Lots of glass windows so it feels bigger and more open. I understand they will be moving to a bigger space in the same center this summer, which will make it even better. Update: the new location construction is underway! Excited to see the increased space and drive thru! New location is open! Wide open, classy feel inside with a drive through.

My significant other and I ordered two drinks in our personal cups. He ordered a tea and I ordered a frap. Not only did they make it in their cups, but when reminded it was supposed to go in our personal cups they told my significant other, “you can just pour them in bro.” When he said ok I can do that with my tea but the other drink I can’t. They said oh you’re right and then proceeded to pour it in my cup instead of remaking it. We will NEVER go back!

I reached out to the restaurant two days later, asked for help, & barista Nar went all the way to help send me a copy of the same on whatsApp on my request. This is what i call above and beyond customer service experience. Nar thank you so much for your help.

Hamburgers 237 is a small establishment in Sausalito that attracts large crowds with its delicious burgers and fries. What sets this joint apart is its unique rotating grill showcased in the window. If you're craving a quality hamburger, this place is highly recommended. You may notice a long queue upon arrival due to its popularity. The burgers here are exceptional, juicy, and generously sized.
This hamburger place in Sausalito is amazing! You can watch them make the burgers through the window and they are delicious. There’s not a lot of seating inside, so you’ll probably have to take it to go. They do have seating, but seems like it can only accommodate 4 people at 2 per table. The staff is good, although not overly friendly, but I can see how they’re heads down with the food and orders. The place is really small, but the experience is great.
Timothy W — Google review
Tried my hand at a Hamburgers grilled burger today and wow definitely one of the best I have had in a while. Locally sourced ground beef for the right amount of juiciness and shaped the patties a little thicker for that nice sear on the outside while keeping the inside tender and flavorful.
Arsalan Z — Google review
The patty was thick and just the right amount of juicy. It wasn’t a particularly memorable burger but it was still yummy. Fries were the perfect fluffy potato-y texture that was still crispy on the outside, although they honestly just tasted like Ore Ida crinkle cut fries to me.
Anna — Google review
Went there today and got their cheeseburger and it was amazing. The burger patty was truly tasty. Totally recommended.

A nice burger shop. With friendly service and attitude. Shop is not big, it an’t got many seats inside. There is a parking lot across street of it. And a very lovely park nearby. Takeout burgers, and sit by the park, looking through the harbor, beautiful views, cozy weather, it was heavenly!!
TeAn C — Google review
Went here literally 7 years ago (2019) and still think about it (I am from the midwest). Hands down the best burger I have ever had. 100/10 recommend, plus you get to watch the grilling burgers rotate in a window which is fun.
Bailey A — Google review
Service was good, but the burgers were disappointing. You can't see the prices before going inside. The rotating grilling station looks good. There's this "homemade" effort but the meat is overcooked and overseasoned, cheese isn't melted and the inside is cold. Fries were soft, and there's a big amount of it.
Clarisse B — Google review
Awesome burgers, juicy and huge. The Hawaiian Burger had enough freshly cooked bacon on it to make a breakfast by itself. Fries are also good, cut thick and a little crisp. There isn't really any space to eat inside for more than a few people, service was kind of brusque, so you'll want to take your food elsewhere, maybe the nearby park.

Lighthouse Café, located on Caledonia Street, is a casual spot owned by a Danish couple that offers an American breakfast and lunch menu with Danish options. This café has been serving great food and tunes since 1949 and features an old wooden lighthouse-shaped tower on the top of the building. It's a popular spot for locals, offering a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy some casual grub while listening to talented musicians.
After an amazing day exploring the city, we decided to venture over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the charming town of Sausalito! We were in a bit of a hurry, but still wanted to grab a delicious bite to eat. Luckily, we stumbled upon this adorable cafe just before closing time! The staff there were absolutely fantastic - they greeted us with big smiles and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I can't even begin to describe how much I loved the steaming hot cup of fresh coffee ☕️ I had there. Even at the end of the day, it was still piping hot and bursting with flavor! Now, let's talk about the burger I ordered. It was a tad on the pricier side, but boy was it worth it! The flavors were incredible and I savored every single bite. My friend also enjoyed her meal - it was just as tasty! Oh, and did I mention they have the cutest little patio? It's the perfect spot to soak in the breathtaking views while enjoying your meal. It's no wonder they've been around for so long - they have an incredibly loyal following! Trust me, you won't be disappointed if you give them a try. I highly, highly recommend this place!

Pretty solid experience. Portions were pretty good for the price, a substantial amount of menu variety, very kind and helpful service staff. Food doesn’t look super incredible nor tastes super incredible but for the price it’s quality food with good portions.

I was only in the bay area for a weekend and my friends who live in the bay wanted to take me to Sausalito. We stopped here for lunch around 2 pm. I was so excited to see so many options that were vegetarian friendly, as that was a big issue as we were looking for somewhere to eat. Overall the food was okay. I was kind of disappointed in the idea of this being a "Spanish" omelette (iykyk). The waitress, Alisha, also forgot my toast and my friend's side order of meatballs and we had to remind her. We ate outside and there was a bee that kept landing on our food and interrupting our meal. I asked the waitress about it and she said it regularly happens. The food was good. I can't complain about the flavor. However, as we were finishing up, we did feel a bit rushed when a lady who wasn't even our server came out and asked us to pay and didn't even give us time to discuss whose card we would put it on. She was very insistent in the moment pointing at my friend asking her to pay then and there because it was 2:55 and they close at 3:00. As someone who works in hospitality, this is not the type of service I would expect from such a popular establishment.
D J — Google review
The Lighthouse Café offers indoor and outdoor dining, but our visit left us underwhelmed. We waited more than 30 minutes for a table, only to find the food uneven. The mixed fruit pancakes came out slightly burnt and surprisingly bland, though the portion was generous. The Danish plate was better, but not enough to make up for the rest. Both the hot and cold coffees were weak—the hot one lukewarm and the cold one watered down. Overall, after such a long wait, the experience was more disappointing than satisfying.
Lina E — Google review
A Solid Winner! My husband and I are always on the hunt for a good classic American breakfast, and The Lighthouse definitely delivered 🙌🏽This place easily made it into our top 5 diner experiences! They've got all the diner staples you'd expect, plus some nice danish inspired surprises on the menu. Our breakfast was really tasty and came out just the way we ordered it, always a good sign! What really stood out, though, was the staff. These folks were genuinely friendly and worked together like a smooth running machine. It's one of those places where you can tell the team actually enjoys working together, and that energy definitely rubbed off on us as customers. It's a great reminder of how much the right staff can elevate the whole dining experience. 🫶🏽👍🏽👍🏽 If you're craving that classic diner breakfast, The Lighthouse is definitely worth a visit. We'll certainly be back!

Food was disappointing. We ordered spanish omelette with side of home fries and toast. The veggies inside the omelette were very oily. Home fries were also sad not nicely grilled or fried with less salt. Salsa was also watery and tasteless. We asked to move the table since the current table had awful smell but server refused and said no moving allowed. Overall disappointing. Will never go again.

I wanted to love this place as I’m a huge fan of Mexican food. I read the reviews and noticed a few said that the food lacked flavor and they were right. I ordered a fish, steak, and shrimp taco and all 3 lacked flavor. The fish was battered and tasted like water, the steak was over cooked, and the shrimp was overpowered by burnt peppers and onions. The corn tortillas weren’t great either. I’m so glad I filled up on their excellent tortilla chips with pico de gallo. My husband and my friend liked their meals but mine was certainly sad. As cute as the restaurant was and the atmosphere was great, I will not come back. For 3 of us it was $146 in tacos & burritos. This is insane pricing for disappointing food.

I remember this place being so delicious 😋 (it was 10 + years tho). Today was different. I do have to say that the food was very fresh but unfortunately it lacked flavor… I had fish tacos and a cochinita taco. The slaw for the fish taco was super fresh but no seasoning is was more like shredded cabbage:( the cochinita also needed a little help. Def had to ask for some hot sauce to spice things up a bit. So all in all food/ingredients are great but def ask for some salt and hot sauce and some lemon/lime. It’s $23 for 3 tacos. Service was great and environment good across the street from the water.
Marcela M — Google review
Place is a little bit small and there is not many tables to sit, but had a great view near the main street. The tacos fresh and good. The nachos were great and it's sauce was fresh and tasty. It was nothing very special about this place, just a good spot to stop by for lunch while passing the street or back from the beach.

Food is not that great. It's very bland and has no taste at all. Also ordered the passion fruit tea, which also has no taste to it. Water without ice and not cold at all unless you ask for the ice. Service and atmosphere are good.

Great service the fajitas were very tasty ordered the shrimp and steak. The tortilla soup was very tasty it was more of a broth base and I loved it. It had excellent flavor. The guacamole tasted more store bought. Overall great location and excellent service.

Freds is a great breakfast spot with outdoor seating. The food options are great, and the prices are reasonable. The wait for brunch is surprisingly reasonable, and the locals are friendly and welcoming.
Haven’t been Sausalito for a long while because I worried a traffic. Came here for brunch and chill out on weekday. Turned out it was a good experience. I chose Fred’s because it’s very local, and it located not in busy downtown. Ordered the crab egg benedict and Italian Swedish, they were delicious. It’s a bit pricey but it’s ok because the portions are big. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Who care it doesn’t have sea views. Highly recommended, definitely will come back again! Updated 1/29 : Came back again after one week. This time we ordered Fred’s Burger and Salmon Egg Benedict. Our favorite brunch place after hiking Mt. Tamalpais

Easily the best eggs Benedict I have had in my entire life, the sweet bacon is to die for and you can't go wrong with the waffles either and I can't get over how fresh the OJ was. Perfect and cozy breakfast spot!
Cas H — Google review
Here’s the deal: we decided to try this place for something new. Our normal breakfast place is Salt and Pepper in Tiburon. The bottom line: this place is mid and Salt and Pepper is the best breakfast in Marin. We ordered: the sweet bacon, Swedish pancakes, and scrambled eggs with chorizo and onion. Pancakes: ok- lacked flavor and the maple syrup on the table tasted like those fake syrups. Eggs: not great- chorizo and onion were in huge chunks- the preparation lacked attention to detail and was messy. I asked what other toppings we could add to the eggs and was told they don’t do that here. This dish was $25. See photo. Bacon: nice flavor but very chewy and not crispy. $10 for two pieces of bacon is absurd. All in all, we will not return and we’re VERY disappointed. The service was unfriendly and rushed. Skip this place. It’s no good.

Classic family owned cafe with a delicious menu. Everything was delicious, the service was friendly, and the food was fantastic. What more is there to say.

Went for a morning drive to Sausalito from San Francisco. I hadn’t been to this town in ages & wanted to revisit this charming town. I googled places for breakfast & Fred’s looked promising so we headed there. There’s a small shared parking lot next to the cafe & plenty of street parking. It’s a small cafe with some outdoor seating & it was pretty busy on Saturday morning. We were seated at a large shared table with two other people. They didn’t mind & neither did we. Extensive menu- I’d read the most popular items are the lemon ricotta pancakes, egg plate with sweet bacon, deep fried French toast & the Swedish, but looking at fellow customers plates who’d ordered some of the dishes, I decided I could not eat such large portions! I went for the single berry waffle & my husband ordered the veggie omelette. The waffle was delicious; only wish the syrup they served was real Maple syrup. I don’t eat the fake stuff so I skipped it. The omelette was very nice & came with toast & hash browns. We had ordered cappuccino & laughed when we saw the size of the “cup” - almost like a mini bathtub! I’m fussy about my coffee & this one just ok. Overall, a nice little place to enjoy breakfast before walking down to the marina & town center.

No nonsense delicious fresh diner food. Huge portions for the price. I got the crab omelette with fruit, and the omelette was packed with delicious fresh crab and veggies. The fruit side was huge with fresh blueberries, blackberries, bananas, and cantaloupe. Our service was quick and coffee was hot. We’ll be back next time we’re in the area!

I loved the cornflake French toast. I make French toast on my homemade bread most every weekend, and this was unique with great crunch, tender on the inside, and perfectly done. The hash browns were fresh, hot, and delightful.

Great little place to stop for a quick bite. Right outside SF past the Golden Gated heading North. 8 min from the Vista Point. Service was fast, and food hit the spot. We arrived around 11, and I was able to get breakfast while my son got lunch. We sat at the bar as to enjoy some father son time together, being able to watch the chef put the food together is always a treat. Prices we’re decent for todays world, will make this a routine stop on long trips north.

Venice Gourmet Delicatessen is an old-school Italian market located in the Bridgeway Promenade area, known for its sandwiches, groceries, and cookware. Despite being surrounded by tourists, this deli stands out for its quality. One of the local favorites is the Italian House Special sandwich which can be enjoyed at a sidewalk table with a great view. Visitors have praised the quick service and delicious sandwiches such as the hearty turkey & cheese and focaccia.
Good place to get tomato soup to warm up by the waters in Sausalito. I got the tomato soup cup (price: $8.95, including tax (9.25%): $9.78) and it was very delicious. They added for some courteous and cheese on top which was a nice touch. This tomato soup is not as creamy as other ones I’ve had. It’s more a vegetable soup broth consistency, but it’s just as enjoyable. I came in on a Saturday in November and there wasn’t any line to order, so I was able to order quickly and my food came out shortly after. Since there wasn’t that many people I managed to get a table and had a nice view of the Sausalito waters! The inside feels like a speciality Italian grocery store. It reminds me of another Italian grocery/sandwich shop I used to visit and it feels very cozy. They have a counter where you can order food like sandwiches, salads, and soups. They have many tables inside as well as outside. Parking: It was a bit difficult to find parking in Sausalito downtown, since many of the lots were full. We managed to get a spot after another car pulled out. It was a paid lot (through ParkMobile I believe)

Venice Gourmet Delicatessen in Sausalito is the kind of spot that feels like it’s been plucked straight out of a European postcard. Picture this: the sun glinting off the bay, a quirky little storefront with retro vibes, and inside, a spread so colorful it practically winks at you. This deli is like the best friend who always knows exactly what you need for lunch—and throws in a view just because. Walk through the doors, and you’re hit with a smorgasbord of goodies that scream “eat me.” Shrimp-topped salads piled high with avocado, vibrant bowls of pasta, artichokes, olives, and all the deli delights your heart could desire. It’s a feast for the eyes as much as the taste buds, with each plate looking like it’s auditioning for a magazine spread. But Venice Gourmet is more than just a meal; it’s a treasure trove of gourmet goodies too. Need an artisanal snack for later? Or a quirky sauce that’ll make you look like you actually know how to cook? They’ve got you covered, with shelves brimming with everything from local treats to international finds. And don’t even get me started on the copper pots and vintage touches—they’re like little winks to the past, adding to the deli’s irresistible charm. So, if you’re after a bite with a side of bay views and a hefty helping of charm, this is your spot. Venice Gourmet isn’t just a deli; it’s a whole vibe. Grab a sandwich, soak in the scenery, and let yourself get lost in the laid-back, delicious magic of Sausalito.

We came to have a lunch after a long drive in the bay area. It was a pleasant experience. The place has a great location, close to the water, there is also a parking outside. Inside, many tables are available, toilets are spacious and clean, overall interior is not up-to-date but clean and charming. We arrived right before their closing time, around 2.30 pm. There were still customers finishing up their food. We ordered an omelette, fried eggs, a water and a coffee. The food arrived in 10-15 minutes. We could finish it in no rush however the place already got closed. The food cost us 40 usd. The food was good, the portions were large, perhaps I lacked a salad in the side. The service was truly great - friendly and fast. I can totally recommend this place.

Visited this place after riding on the ferry from San Francisco. Super nice place - it is clean, aesthetic and welcoming. Everyone is super friendly. They make sure you are well serviced. They had the most incredible live jazz – the band was seriously talented and brought such a soulful, lively vibe to the night. I sat at the bar and met some great people, and the atmosphere made it easy to strike up a conversation. Big shoutout to Stephan, the bartender – he was awesome. Super friendly and made me feel right at home. Even though they didn’t have non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu, he offered to whip one up from scratch and absolutely nailed it. HORRIBLE, I have never tested such bad eggs Benedict ever in my life. I mean how can they go bad with eggs Benedict ? I couldn’t eat more than two spoons. My husband ordered beet salad which was horrible and uncooked. He had to eat it forcefully since we were hungry. Not worth the price and would not recommend anyone for this restaurant

Be sure to check this place out. It is off the main street just a couple blocks. Feels like a locals joint with comfort food and great wine. They also have live music (on select nights). We started with the minestrone soup and house made focaccia. Both were great. Our entrees were the house made gnocchi, lasagne, spaghetti and risotto. We also ordered side of Brussel sprouts that also had pancetta and sweet potatoes. They were the best thing on the table. Delicious. All of our dishes were lovely. The only drawback was the risotto is not a traditional one. Did not have the creaminess we are used to. We will definitely be back. Service was excellent as well.

Incredible restaurant at Salsalito. Tge food and service are very tasty, and the menu is wide with many options from traditional italian food to local sea food. The space is also nice. Comfortable with beautiful furniture gives a good vibe to anyone seating any table for dinner. The service is algo great. Experience is incredible. I went with ny girldfriend in a Saturdsy night. strongly recommend for romantic dinner.

Had breakfast here and had a great experience! The waitress was very nice and warm with us. She made suggestions from the menu from which I chose one and my wife chose something of her own taste. Both meals we ordered (she ordered an omelette and I ordered poached eggs in a tomato sauce) were fantastic with the only complaint being that my meal was a bit small. A third egg or a meat would have made it perfect. Overall, I would highly recommend!

2022 March review: came back again and the food was all on point. The lamb, pork medallion, lasagna are must-gets. Great jazz duo playing live music too. Loved the dinner and will be back again soon. 2018 review: The burrata asian pear appetizer was a v great mix of flavors and textures. The mushroom pasta was good too.

Two of us split a salad and the burrata (really a second salad), pappardelle with a sweet pepper sauce, and a tiramisu. Delicious! The homemade pasta was nice and tender. Definitely want to come back. I dont know why this restaurant wasn’t on my radar earlier. Parking might be a little tricky—allow time to circle around for an open spot.

Sausalito Gelato and Chocolate, also known as COA Chocolate and Gelato, is a delightful spot for ice cream located next to the Sausalito stairs and an Instagram-worthy Welcome to Sausalito wall. The shop offers traditional and innovative gelato flavors such as blueberry ricotta and toasted coconut.
One of the best selection of chocolates I have seen. Chocolates from many origins produced in many countries.

Here you’re, now on that is my favorite place😍on my Sausalito trip I am visiting my lovely spot. There were served hot chocolate. But this time I chose dark chocolate which is my number one. Let’s try this. Easy parking, walk in distance. Awesome ambience.

Amazing! Discover specialty chocolate you won't find anywhere else. Their supreme shortbread cookies absolutely slap! And the gellato will make you go gyatt!!!
Erik V — Google review
The person working there was so friendly and gave a lot of gelato for us to taste before buying. The strawberry is so good! The green tea one has a mint flavor overpowering the green tea flavor so I didn’t enjoy it as much. The price was very reasonable

After a mediocre lunch and biking across the bridge I saw this place and decided I deserved a treat. I picked out three truffles (about $6.75) and enjoyed them on the Ferry back to San Francisco. I chose cardamom nougat, cookie Butter and Buddha. Cardamom was nice, but cookie Butter was better because COOKIE BUTTER. How could it not be? However, Buddha was definitely the most uniquely delicious. It was filled with peanut butter and mango jam. Salty and sweet always get me! The shop is quite small and feels tight even with only one other customer. But the quality is great and service is friendly!

Real artisan chocolates here. I tried a few dark chocolates, and they were absolutely delicious. I tried their coffee, and it was also not bad. Their cookies are also great. Raisin Oatmeal cookie was definitely the best thing.

They usually have SUCH a good curation of chocolates so it pains me to write this review. DO NOT buy the Dubai Chocolate!!! I spent 40$ (that should have been my first red flag) but since they have good quality fine chocolates I had high expectations it would be really good. “Luxury” as its marketed. It was DISGUSTING, the worst quality chocolate, stale, and overall spit-worthy after the first bite. I’m sooooo upset at this waste of money. I truly expected them to vet their products and for it to be at least OKAY for 40 bucks. Ive had many versions of the dubai chocolate and this is by far the worst AND most expensive!!! 7/11 has a better one. The mini dubai bonbons from another brand were better , but for $20 is a hard swallow. So disappointed.

No Name Bar is a classic, dimly lit establishment with a laid-back atmosphere and an outdoor patio where patrons can enjoy live jazz and blues performances. This Sausalito gem has been a local favorite for decades, drawing both residents and tourists who come to savor the reasonably priced drinks while listening to an eclectic mix of music genres.
Great place to chill out, have a drink and enjoy the vibe! The classic rock takes to back and fills your soul with a warm glow...I'm definitely returning next time I'm in town!

Nice vibe, good service. I wish they have more diverse beer selection. I can get that it may be hard to maintain more taps, but a few cases of different brews from a local breweries would not be a big burden. The liquor selection demonstrated a little more variety but still was very typical., Whiskey sour however, was really pleasant. Anyway, a decent place to have a break.

Hey Melissa and Sarah! It's yours truly 🥂🙋🏻‍♀️ I just had to pop in and share that this bar is awesome. The girls behind the bar whip up some superb cocktails. I had a taste of passion fruit vodka blended with Sprite and soda water - it's truly divine. The staff is super welcoming, and all in all, it's a fantastic spot. They even have a patio section for smokers, so I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit. Big thanks for a fabulous time

Equator Coffees is a trendy local coffee chain that offers single-origin coffee, tea, and light bites. The company was founded by Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell in Marin County. They recently launched their first coffee farm project, Finca Sophia in Panama. Equator also supplies custom blends to renowned restaurants like the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group.
Equator was hopping when I visited on a Saturday afternoon - full of outdoor enthusiasts and weekenders waiting patiently for their fancy coffee orders. They had a great selection of sophisticated latte flavors like honey, lavender, maple and black sesame! Good looked great and a cozy atmosphere. Expensive tho!

A staple Mill Valley place to visit. Seems very popular on the daily with locals and visitors alike. I’m not a big coffee-drinker but I’ve been several times and can attest to the great atmosphere and pretty good food/drink options. Food options include sandwiches, pastries, and sweet/savory waffles. Indoor and outdoor seating available. However, because it’s so busy, if you sit down to the left of the entrance (opposite side from the counter where orders are placed), it’ll be hard to hear your order called. At least my experience has been this way where I’m waiting a while for my order to be called, finally get tired of waiting, walk over to check in with staff, only to find that my order is sitting on the counter but I never heard it called. I got the veggie frittata sandwich and enjoyed it but generally, the food is a bit pricey for the portion size in my opinion. The drink I got was fairly good I think but honestly, not very memorable/standout because I don’t really remember it.
Katia M — Google review
Equator is a great coffee shop located in the middle of mill valley. I love the strawberry matcha here as it may be expensive, but it’s really good. Great mocha, but service could be improved. We ordered three drinks: a mocha for myself, and my friends got a cappuccino and a Brown Sugar & Cinnamon shakerato (customized to hot instead of iced), plus a butter croissant warmed up. Our favorite was definitely the mocha, I'd highly recommend it! It had the perfect amount of sweetness without overpowering the coffee taste. The cappuccino was good as well. The shakerato wasn't what we expected, though that might be because we ordered it hot instead of trying it iced as intended. Given the cold weather, we thought a hot version would be better. The only reason I'm rating service lower is that our drinks sat on the counter and got cold while they waited to hand all three out together. It would have been better to receive them as they were ready.
V B — Google review
This place is ridiculous, as in it is so good that it should be illegal. The avocado toast was some of the best I have ever had, I ordered three to go for on my way to the airport leaving San Francisco. The seasonal autumn spice latte with the pumpkin cream cold brew was to die for - I found myself getting two in a day for sure!
Bailee M — Google review
I had a few different iced “dessert” lattes, they tasted good and balanced. But I got a large hot oat milk latte a few times and all of them disappointed. They tasted diluted, watery and bland. Also they charge extra for to go cups and alternative milk.
G C — Google review
Pretty good overall the only reason I’m giving four stars is because for their shaken espresso drinks the default milk is oat milk. And oat milk is so unhealthy. It is a glyphosate riddle seed oil liquid, and I think the default for any coffee drink should just be regular milk. I unsuspectingly ordered it and didn’t see in the description. It does say oat milk, so that’s on me for not seeing it, but I also Have not really seen any coffee drink where the default is oat milk. As someone who values their health and absolutely loves the equator uses Strauss organic milk I was upset and then I re-ordered the drink, and it’s typically customary if a customer gets their drink if they don’t like it, they make them a new one on the house. I’ve worked in the industry. This was at least the standard where I worked. But instead, the cashier knew that I was re-ordering the drink because I didn’t like it and still made me pay for it. I get it. The economy is rough, but having worked in the service industry I was a bit disheartened however, I’m still gonna go to equator coffee. I think they have great coffee. I just think the default milk should not be oat milk or it should be more obvious or the barista should ask: What milk do you want with that?

Bartenders had it rough with our group. And then some of our group got overpoured and dropped a drink on the floor. They were gentle and quick to clean around, and patient despite our rubbish behavior.

I walk in soberly, visiting my partner’s dad for the first time. I’m a bartender from NYC. The bartender says he will serve me a “half-beer” because I am “swaying in.” My partner orders us shots and he says “not for her” while a woman is falling behind us drunk and he keeps serving her. Awful experience.

Gilligans Poke Shop is a hidden gem located within a grocery store in Sausalito. The owner, originally from Oahu, brings an authentic taste of Hawaii to the Bay Area. Customers rave about the super fresh tuna and generous portions at reasonable prices. The spicy tuna bowl stands out for its flavorful seasoning, while the seaweed salad is also highly recommended. Despite its unassuming location, this poke stand offers an enjoyable dining experience with waterfront views nearby.
On a tour from San Francisco (shout-out Dylan's Tours!), we had an hour and a half for lunch in Sausalito. We walked over to grab Poke from Gilligans and were NOT disappointed! Got the Spicy Ahi on brown rice, and it was amazing. Rice was tender, fish was fresh, not too spicy. Grabbed drinks from the attached store and walked over to a local park (suggested to us at Gilligans) and had a beautiful lunch. Do not sleep on this spot!

Note: as a non-american, the portion is decent-sized. If you're american, then there is the probability this runs on smaller side for you Absolute hidden gem tucked in the back corner of Sausalito Market. Ordered fresh spicy ahi with warm brown rice; an excellent poke bowl in its simplicity.

Decent poke, subpar rice. 2 ingredients to this menu item. Poke and rice. The poke is okay. I got the shoyu tuna with white rice. The tuna was good, but I didn't think it had enough flavor to it. The rice was dry and hard and did not pair well with the fish. Portion is not very big, but it's only $14

Hey friends! This review is about sustainability only. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 95% of the plastic that we send two recycling does not actually get recycled. Instead, it winds up in landfills, incinerators, and in our waters. That is why, in this gorgeous waterfront town, I’d love to see a bit more intention from local cafés and restaurants to mitigate the amount of plastic they produce, disperse, and normalize. Perhaps that means instead of selling plastic bottled water, you could instead sell glass, bottled water, or aluminum canned water. Or perhaps you could ask customers explicitly, if they will be enjoying their beverage to stay. Many of my fellow customers were indeed staying in the lovely nook to enjoy their drink, but all of them were drinking out of single use, plastic cups, that were then discarded into the trash. I do very much appreciate that you offer discounts to people who bring their own cup! That goes a long way, and perhaps by communicating that more explicitly you can empower customers to make more responsible choices on behalf of the local ecosystem. Just some thoughts, and I appreciate you taking the time to listen! Delicious coffee, and very kind service.

A super cheerful and cute addition to the Marin coffee scene (which is heavily dominated by Equator). It’s actually in an easier to access location than the Equator Proof Lab so for that reason alone it’s worth checking out. I’ve only ever had the drip - which is very solid - will update if I ever try anything else! The staff is always friendly and cheerful and every visit starts my day on a good tone as well as looking at my cute takeaway cup!

It’s a great spot for getting a quick coffee or for sitting on their benches and chatting with fellow customers or a friend. I tend to stop off on my morning walk with my dog. I should mention I’m a latte drinker so I haven’t tried their drip, but I’m pretty picky about my espresso and theirs doesn’t disappoint.

Caffe Tutti is a charming cafe located in downtown Sausalito, offering a cozy atmosphere with dark wood details. It serves a variety of American and Italian breakfast and lunch options, as well as delectable ice cream. The cafe's location next to the pier provides a lovely view of the nearby park, making it an attractive spot for visitors. Guests can enjoy delicious pasta dishes and cappuccinos while taking in the inviting ambiance.
Located right by the ferry landing this coffee shop/bakery/casual dining is a good option for an informal breakfast. My husband and I both got the corned beef and hash for breakfast and really enjoyed it. What I like best about this place is there’s indoor and outdoor seating so we were able to bring our pup with us. Many people also stop by for the ice cream (double rainbow).

staff was wonderful and very friendly, but with only one coffee machine and a big crowd of ferry passengers waiting, it took 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee to go. Worst of all the owner or manager, a grumpy white haired man in his 60s, reprimanded a young service staff member publicly as the croissants were not warm enough when served. Note to the boss: get yourself a second coffee machine and a better oven and stop being nasty to your staff.
Yvonne K — Google review
Convenient and central location, cozy ambiance and friendly staff but very, very average coffee. I didn't eat but the food on other tables look great. However the coffee was forgettable and similar to Mc Donald's. I was expecting more by reading other reviews. When you make your first sip in a coffee and your tongue gets badly burn since it is excessively hot, you know that it was not barista grade. I will not discard this place if I ever get back in town but surely will not order coffee there.

Starbucks, the iconic coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, is a haven for coffee lovers and casual visitors alike. Known for its signature roasts and light snacks, it also offers a cozy atmosphere with WiFi access—perfect for those looking to relax or get some work done. During my visit to the Starbucks inside Target, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm service provided by a barista who not only made great recommendations but also shared her journey as a university student balancing work and studies.
Had a great experience at the Starbucks inside Target. I wasn’t sure what to order, so I asked the barista for a recommendation — she was super kind, knowledgeable, and really presentable. Kudos to Starbucks for hiring people like her — love to see it.

Went through the drive-through just now ordered a coffee and asked about some pastries, The employee responded with mixed answers when I asked about a couple of options. When asked for clarification and he then claimed there were none or a few with annoyance. All the while his responses were with attitude and couldn’t communicate himself clearly. Wait times too long for a simple order - like 30 to 60 minutes for takeout. They just need to premake popular items before lunchtime in batches to serve them, instead of trying to slowly make everything on order and having angry customers. Probably needs a new manager who can plan ahead.
