Internet cafe
Banana Dang Coffee is a vibrant and colorful cafe with an artsy vibe that offers a variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, and toasts. The founder, who was once the lead singer for a globally touring rock band, has brought this tropical island-inspired coffee shop from Puerto Rico to the Pacific coastline. In addition to excellent coffee, they also serve banana-infused fruit smoothies, artistically prepared toasts, vegan donuts, cookies, and pop tarts.
If you’re looking for a unique space to grab a smoothie, latte, a quick bite and do some remote work, Banana Dang Coffee is a small family-owned café in downtown Oceanside that is a local favorite; especially with the younger crowd. Located just along the Coast Hwy, this spot is famous for their awesome selection of “Happy Toast” menu options and their smoothies (all made with bananas & almond milk). The interior is very simplistic and has a few counter-seats, table seats and lounge chairs in the rear. They showcase a small diverse collection of painted artwork (for sale) and the ambiance is pretty modern-hipster (alt pop & rock music playing). They have a clean bathroom and also free WiFi for customers and although the seating isn’t super-cozy, but it works for a quick sit to relax. One con is that they have a limited amount of power outlet access points. The customers service is average, but not dissatisfactory (younger staff who are always chatting amongst themselves). They are friendly, but not super-attentive; just average. Where this place shines is their TOAST BAR MENU that is super tasty! It’s simple, but there’s something for everyone to love! I recommend the Crunchy Honey, Nutty Banana and Choco Toast. Their smoothie menu is super as well! Boasting great options such as : Nutty Dang, Green Tea Dang and the Vanilla Dang. Overall, this gem is a place that you’ll want to visit just for their unique specialty menu and for a less-crowded option to doing remote work.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: I've had this on my list to try for a few months. We live in LA, so when we came South, I had to make a pitstop! Was very happy with the Dirty Banana Mylk! I wish there was a closer location to LA or Long Beach. AMBIANCE: Noise level is average. It was a bit dark and felt stuffy inside. A few tables and counter seating near the window. ORDERED: [5/5] Dirty Banana Mylk: blended to perfection and not too sweet! [4/5] Banana Latte: banana flavor was very light in this, but still good. They have small bites, but we didn't try any of it. SERVICE: Service was good. On our visit, there was a parade, so staff appeared a bit distracted, but service was still quick. PRICE: ~ $9pp PARKING: Street parking Drinks: 5/5 stars Service: 4/5 stars Venue: 4/5 stars

Banana Dang Coffee pleasantly represents a neighborhood coffee shop. This small shop offers a unique flavor of coffee, which energizes the taste buds. This cozy shops was busy during my visit. I appreciated Banana' sense of humor, especially the Ryan Gosling reference of wearing shirts. When you find yourself in Oceanside, please make a moment to enjoy time at Banana Dang Coffee.

Visiting LA with the intention of trying a new coffe shop and omg google maps suggested me this place! [5/5] Dirty Banana Mylk: blended to perfection, not too sweet, well balanced! I wish they have this in Sacramento but well done!

Super Duper delicious, the nutty dang is amazing! the is definitely an cute vibe but it’s not my style. The people are very nice. The whole this was very welcoming🫶🏼

My absolute favorite place in Oceanside. Owners and employees are always so welcoming and kind. I go multiple times a week to get work done and have always felt so welcomed. They have my favorite chai latte, which is phenomenal. Occasionally I will grab an avocado toast and it never disappoints.

Revolution Roasters is a trendy coffee shop located in South Oceanside, known for its craft caffeine beverages made from small-batch roasted beans. The cafe takes pride in roasting high-quality, organic coffee sourced from premier growing regions around the world. With a beachside neighborhood setting along Coast Highway, the cafe exudes adventurous seafaring vibes and offers ample seating for patrons to enjoy their drinks.
Definitely one of the best coffee shops 🤎 the coffee is strong, slightly acidic in taste, which I personally love because the lattes aren’t too muted in (coffee) flavor, and it pairs really well with the flavors available, especially the seasonal combinations. There’s a fresh array of pastries every morning. For a less sweet option go for the cowboy cookie, medium sweet a pie tart, for sweet the morning bun (a personal favorite), and they made perfect croissants 👌🏻 There’s indoor & outdoor seating; there’s often dogs outside ☺️ And there’s a small parking area right outside (in front of a red and teal mural)

While enjoying another coffee date with my wife, we were quickly served a bold cup of coffee ☕ at Revolution Roasters, in Oceanside. The coffee shop is cashless, which is sort of unique. Revolution offers a variety of coffee drinks and pastries. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. There were plenty of people inside either talking or working on laptops 💻. The background music added to the ambience of the coffee shop. They are mindful of pets 🐕, and they encourage outdoor seating to accommodate pet owners. Parking is limited. Revolution is a delightful place for a coffee date.

I love it here! Been coming here for like the last 7-8 years since they’ve opened. Albeit I stopped when I moved away for few years but now I’m back in the area and so happy to see it’s still same lil coffee joint HOWEVER they got rid of the ALCHEMIST!!!! That was y’all’s best drink

I saw this spot down in Oceanside. I ordered the Hot Maple latte and Iced Butterscotch Latte both watered down. The Hot Maple Latte lacked in the taste department with the maple flavor. A slight a hint. Though the coffee wasn’t bad like bitter, it just didn’t have much impact on flavor. I loved the art foam design though. Neither did the Butterscotch Latte which tasted like a regular latte. Ambience was nice, staff was nice
Jeremy L — Google review
The espresso here was super nice and had a distinct flavor profile that I really enjoyed. But I'm so mad because I came to this spot without trying anything to eat (I'm off sugar for a bit), and their bakery case was LEGIT. I took some longing, wistful pictures to share, at least. And in my (super professional) opinion, the offerings looked absolutely tip top. I'm definitely going to go back soon. For science.

Cozy cafe in Oceanside! Revolution Roasters has a great aesthetic and yummy snacks and coffee. Really enjoyed the lemon lime berry pop tart and the maple and vanilla lattes. Friendly staff and the lattes were prepared quickly. Indoor and outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Recommend!

Raspberry matcha is fantastic and not too sweet at all! The yuzu and peach pastry was fantastic too. Staff were very friendly and sweet with my kids.

Camp Coffee Company was inspired by the nostalgic aroma of brewing coffee in a small camper, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for all. The cafe offers modern seating with ample outlets and a pet-friendly patio, making it an ideal spot for students to unwind. Their coffee is expertly roasted by Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, known for their award-winning blends and consistently high ratings.
Fantastic Coffee & Cozy Vibes at Camp Coffee Company! Camp Coffee Company in Oceanside is a hidden gem for coffee lovers! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm, inviting aroma of coffee. I tried their latte, and it was perfectly smooth, with a rich espresso flavor and beautifully textured milk. I also ordered the grill cheese sandwich, spanakopita puff and brewed coffee. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to recommend something based on your preferences.

Thank you again. Customer service is excellent. Conveniently located next to work with ample parking. Great gluten-free and vegan options. Coffee is a great hit with wife. Appreciate the recommendation, Alex. Will be a great place to visit in the morning from now on.

Such a cute coffee shop, just a short walk from the beach, perfect for grabbing a coffee and enjoying a stroll. Both of our drinks were delicious, and the two ladies working there were so friendly. The place is clean, welcoming, and definitely worth a visit!

Visited July 7, 2025 Purchased the hot Camp Mocha. What’s it about: Camp Mocha $7.00 S'mores Inspired. Mocha, Toasted Marshmallow Syrup, Topped with Toasted Marshmallow + S'mores Topping. I can’t say it tasted like a S’more but I enjoyed it. Not terribly sweet. The young lady had a slight hand with the sweetness. And I replaced with Almond milk rather than whole milk. I did buy some bags of coffee to take home! Looking forward to going back while visiting 😌☕️
CG F — Google review
Stopped in and tried their ceremony latte (with cardamom) on the way to catching the train home from Oceanside. Loved the friendly atmosphere, service, and wow the coffee was so smooth! Highly recommend this place.
Liz F — Google review
Everything I ordered for my first time visit at Camp Coffee Company was SO good! It was pricey for the food in my opinion, however, I will never feel bad for paying six dollars for a really good cup of coffee. I would give the atmosphere five stars, I just think it could have more comfortable furniture. The only coziness was all in their coffee. The staff were very friendly and the overall environment is calm. It’s a nice place to either catch up with a friend or have a solo study date.

The Cup Coffee is a delightful and cozy coffee shop located just a short stroll from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The cafe boasts a charming interior with long wooden workbenches, an open-air patio area, and a captivating brick wall mural in retro tones. Adjacent to the Wisconsin Market, it offers convenience for those seeking additional provisions. The coffee menu features traditional yet delicious espresso drinks made with high-quality beans from Caffe Calabria in San Diego.
I was incredibly impressed as the food, service, and atmosphere were absolutely superb. I was in town to look at merch at Atacama Surf Shop and stopped at the Cup for a bite and wrap. Their selection for as minimalistic as they are was fantastic. The gentleman behind the bar was the only one on staff and handled everyone and everything. It was quite the spectacle to observe. Their ingredients are high quality and had a nice communicative selection. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Got a great breakfast sandwich there. Not a place for a family dinner. More of a place for locals to drop in and get a cup of coffee and hang out a bit. Seating is not very comfortable. Good place to get carry out food and take it to the coast which is nearby.
Bob K — Google review
This is a nice little spot to get coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Hot on soft croissants. Your choice between sausage or bacon. You can even add avocado which is a must. The coffee is good. The dining area is a little small. Bar top seating that even serves draft beer. A few tables outside with a patio. Surf videos on the tvs. What's not to like?
Donny B — Google review
There is one person who works at The Cup and is nice to customers: Camden. One other person works part-time for Oceanside Fire Department and treats customers with basic dignity. The other proprietors/employees of The Cup treat their customers with blatant disrespect, outright hostility, and in at least three cases racial bias that have caused people to stop patronizing their establishment. I used to visit here to grab a cup of coffee and work remotely over the past four years, and the loud conversations that these people have about their customer base is nauseating: They harbor absolutely no respect for the community at large and care only about their money. I am no longer a customer at The Cup--I live in the neighborhood and walk by once in a while--and the proprietors/employees actively approach to engage in harassment and abuse toward others in the public space. These people are threatening, intimidating, racist, sexist, and generally pretty sad and remorseful about poor life decisions, all of which reflects in the loud conversations they tend to air in the establishment when certain customers are around. The aforementioned matters of fact are based on their own words and actions from inside the establishment and not my own opinions. My personal opinion is that the drip coffee is thoroughly disgusting. Take your money elsewhere!

Great tasting coffee!!! Ordered mocha; it had just the right amount of syrup to be able to taste the great coffee they use. Also had the Espresso Beer, what an awesome drink!!! Love the atmosphere here, Monday evening, not busy, great music playing, staff friendly, love this place!!! Thank you!

One of the best coffee shops I've been to in California. We came here 4 times in less than 3 days it was so good. The staff are super friendly and chill and the place has such good vibes. The coffee is excellent especially the iced latte and priced very reasonably. The food is also amazing and hits the spot, great for breakfast or lunch. They also had cheap beer which is a bonus.
Luke I — Google review
Fast, Friendly and helpful service even during a Busy Sunday morning! Handmade breakfast to order and great coffee! Definitely worth making the stop here instead of any of the other places on the main strip. The clients were the super friendly open to conversation from an out of town visitor.

Discovered this place after getting my car repaired at Firestone. Walked down the road a bit and got to the Cup. Decent latte. Made very quickly. Has some baked goods on display and I’ll be back to try one of the sandwiches that has posted on the wall. Outside seating faces the street and train crossing. You can actually see the ocean from the outside seating which is really neat. Seems like this morning spot for locals around there. Will be back for sure

Pier View Coffee Co is a charming local coffee shop located in a beautiful blue historical building dating back to 1908. The cafe offers a cozy, old-world ambiance with cherry oak chairs and wooden floors. It's known for serving an array of caffeine-rich drinks, creamy gelato from Little Italy, scrumptious bagels, and top-tier breakfast sandwiches. Open until 9:00 pm, it also offers beer and wine for those looking to unwind in the evening.
This spot is ideal for kicking back with a coffee first thing in the morning or unwinding with some gelato after a beach day. I was particularly fond of their raspberry ice cream, and their coffee was brewed to perfection. They do also offer a lot of yummies pastries to enjoy on site or to go.

Where does one go for a coffee date, while it is raining? Pier View Coffee Company. They provide both indoor and outdoor seating. The ambience is warm with dark wood furniture. The music playing in the background adds to the ambiance. The decor offers historical pictures of Oceanside Pier. Hence, the coffee shop is near the pier. Pier View Coffee offers window seating that provides plenty of natural light, great for reading 📖. When the weather is nice, these windows are open providing more of an open-air feel. I look forward to sipping another bold cup of coffee ☕ at Pier View Coffee Company.

My buddy and I are heading to every coffee place we can find in Oceanside this week. One shop each morning for 7 days. We came here for the coffee on vacation, and Pier View Coffee Co delivered. The classic latte was visually appealing and tasted great. The espresso is not very strong, some may love that, some may not. The location is great, the store was great, friendly atmosphere and employees. It’s pricey but very reasonable for coffee in Cali. 4 stars!

Ambience is amazing. The open air, window seating was worth it all. I wanted a smoothie & ended up with the vegan sandwich which was delicious & ever so fresh. Service was decent. It would have been nice to see & fee more friendly faces (service related) but I’m not complaining. The food came out perfect & was delicious. The Pineapple Pete Kombucha was tasty. I’d definitely go back & try out the smoothies. Although I don’t drink coffee, they are well know for their coffee. I ate the sandwich too quickly & forgot to take a picture lol. Thanks Team Pier View Coffee Company.

Nestled in the heart of South O, Captain's Grounds Coffee is a delightful stop for anyone seeking a cozy coffee experience. This charming walk-up coffee bar is conveniently located within the vintage consignment shop, Captain Helm. With an impressive menu featuring both hot and iced beverages, including classic coffees and refreshing blended chais made from locally roasted beans just around the corner, it’s a haven for caffeine lovers.
This was a happy little find today! Dirty iced chai was top tier. And the croissant? She was perfectly gorgeous and flaky. The outside seating was a whole vibe, and the tables inside were perfect for getting a little work done, even attached to a vintage store with a bit of traffic (which was cool as heck). No notes. Love love!

By far my favorite local coffee spot there ever was. The vanilla lattes slap, the avo toast is fire, the açaí bowls are perfect. The all around vibes are high and the people who work here are the loveliest. I cannot recommend this place enough and I’m down to fight anyone who disagrees. 11/10!
Adrianna W — Google review
Captain's Grounds Coffee serves a bold cup of coffee, and the service was prompt, which is expected. What makes Captain's Grounds Coffee a five star ⭐ experience is the layout of the coffee shop. The coffee shop offers both interior and exterior seating. Inside the coffee shop music was playing. Outside people were gathered enjoying the warm sunny weather and good conversation (and some street noises). What is exciting about this coffee shop is the cool vintage store, which opens at 10:00. I suspect the vintage store covers about 600+ square feet. If you are in Oceanside looking for a unique coffee experience, then come to Captain's Grounds Coffee for bold coffee and classy vintage store.

I had the most amazing experience at Captain Grounds Coffee in Oceanside! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warmest and most welcoming staff. Carson, who was at the cashier, was so friendly and gave me the best vibes with her sweet smile. We had a fun conversation about piercing shops, and she really made my day! Rocco was equally kind and engaging, creating such a positive, friendly atmosphere. The energy in this place is incredible—it’s so inviting and laid-back, and you can feel the love in every corner. Jen and Ted, the managers, really have something special here, and I wish I had been able to tell them in person. The girls at the café were wonderful and made the whole experience even better. My girlfriend and I had such a great time, and I will absolutely be coming back. I can’t recommend this place highly enough—thank you for making our visit so memorable!

Local Favorite Coffee Joint. We come here often to get coffee it is very delicious. Favorites: Mexican Mocha 24 oz extra sweet w/light ice. Nice and bold flavor enhanced with the authentic taste of Mexican chocolate. The residual pieces at the bottom and chocolate border coated makes it all perfect. Bagels with butter toasted delish and soft. Great place to get your coffee. I'd say the coffee is like Medium/Medium light roast. During the weekend expect a line, and waiting for the coffee can take a little, but we don't mind the wait. Plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor seating within the vintage secondhand store. Nice to look at things while you wait. Not to be confused with the other coffee shop next to it. Yes, they do have pup cups :D and Loyalty cards for the frequent customers. Parking can be a drag on weekends as well, with availability in the street and a small parking section next to the building if your lucky. Always had good service and to the point. They know us by now and know our order.

My fav local coffee spot. Atmosphere and energy are great, love to see locals from my neighborhood. Excellent food and my fav coconut latte 🤙🏼
Cassandra C — Google review
Have tried coffee from here a few times to give it a chance. Their cold brew is not drinkable, twice had to throw it away; it tastes like they made it with old used stale espresso grounds. In general the coffee/espresso quality for lattes etc isn’t as high quality as other shops around (like revolution next door or steady state or bound) and tastes kinda burnt. Still better than Starbucks if that’s your standard lol. But it’s part of a fun vintage resale store and there’s indoor and outdoor seating.

The coffee wasn’t strong. My drink had three espresso shots, but it didn’t taste like it had any coffee — it just tasted like milk and Mexican chocolate.

Nestled in an unassuming office building in Oceanside, Bound Coffee Company stands out with its turquoise accents and inviting atmosphere. The owners, Ryan and Maria, share a passion for coffee that led them to pour their love into every cup they serve. With years of industry experience, they have created a space where each mug tells a story through carefully sourced and roasted beans. Visitors can also indulge in fresh, fluffy bagels and delightful beverages like the incredible vanilla latte.
We tried the egg, bacon, and cheese everything bagel along with the breakfast burrito. The bagel was delicious great texture and flavor. The burrito was also tasty, though I personally would have liked a bit more crunch and a different tortilla, but I can see why it’s a top seller. Both coffees were fantastic! We had the orange clove latte and the salted caramel latte both were rich and flavorful. We’ll definitely be back!

Today, I enjoyed another coffee date with my wife at Bound Coffee Company. Bound Coffee is a cozy coffee shop located on the south side of Oceanside. As you walk in, you will appreciate the openness and good lighting of the coffee shop. The Bound Coffee offers limiting seating, but they provide most seats with electrical plugs, which is ideal for work, studying, and/or planning. They also offer outdoor seating, to enjoy the weather. The music fits the simple and clean ambience of the shop. What I found interesting was their unique coffee mugs. Their in-store coffee mugs do not have handles. Their tasty bold coffee is served in a glass with vents. Drinking from a vented-glass warms the hands, and yes their coffee hits the spot. 🎯

This place is really good. They have a filling burrito or bagel breakfast option along with great coffee options as well. Unfortunately both times I have been and have asked for cream cheese on the bagel sandwich, i have had bad experiences. For example in today’s order in the picture shared, we might as well have not put cream cheese on the bagel if this is the amount going on.

Bound Coffee definitely serves up the most amazing breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito around. What is so special is that everything is house made: pastries, bagels, secret sauces, and salsas; including roasting their own coffee. The awesome service, delicious food, exceptional coffee, and good vibes are always spot on...not to be missed.

Have been here twice and the bagels with cream cheese do not disappoint! Baked sweets are also decent with your handcrafted coffee or tea. They showcase local artists craft items and have their own merch as well. Staff is friendly and the service is quick! Did I say their bagels with cream cheese are the bomb?

Wow. Who knew sourdough bagels are the best? It was so light and airy, not heavy and dense like a normal bagel. I got the avocado toast and my partner got bacon and egg sandwich. Both on everything bagels. Incredible!! Wish we could fly with these home.

I need to go grocery shopping… but since I haven’t, here we go in search of a new breakfast place & found Bound Coffee in O’Side. My hubby ordered a Filter Brew = happy w/coffee. I had a Matcha Latte. There was no sweetness to the flavor, so I asked. (Note: Taste before leaving.) They said they could add vanilla or honey. I opted for a bit of vanilla sweetener & it was much better. We also ordered to-go an avocado toast and a breakfast burrito. The burrito was a little spicy but had great flavor. The avocado toast was well blended with flavor. There was avocado, cilantro, light salt & pepper, chives, and I think bits of pickled red bell pepper. Lovely little spot with great coffee & breakfast. We will be back :D Tip: Call or order in person if the item says it’s out on the website.

Nautical Bean Coffee Company Inc. is a charming local coffee house located in Oceanside Harbor, offering a variety of espresso drinks, tea, and pastries. Situated amidst the yacht-filled docks, this coffee spot has become a beloved venue for its invigorating coffee aromas and soothing ambiance by the bay.
Spent 4 days in Oceanside and went every morning for Nightwatch coffee & cottage cheese egg bites. Staff was friendly, and the view of the harbor & boats was a nice way to start your day.

This place was good for a breakfast bite. The only reason I didn't rate the service higher was because they forgot to add something to my sandwich. But overall, good place.
Pfefer J — Google review
There is much to enjoy at the Nautical Bean Coffee Company, like the view. Drinking coffee at the harbor inspires me. My wife and I enjoyed a moment in the "Office" talking, sharing, and reading. The Office is a place to sit, sip, and see, so enjoy the view. As expected, the staff was courteous and prompt with the order. Also, they were comfortably busy serving customers; after all, the Nautical Bean is a jewel to embrace. Yes, I plan to embrace another moment here. I hope to see you at the Nautical Bean Coffee Company.

We loved the coffee but the service didn’t come with a smile or enthusiasm and the sandwich was good but not fantastic. The scenery was good but was in a plastic tent for eating. Recommendation: go for the coffee as a take out.

Stopped by to get a coffee and quick breakfast. Such a cute place, staff was so nice. Coffee was delicious! We got croissant breakfast sandwiches & they were both a little frozen in the middle. Other than that, I loved it.
Leota T — Google review
My recent visit to The Nautical Bean in Oceanside was incredibly disappointing, not because of the coffee, but because of the service. While the coffee itself was adequate, the experience left me feeling unwelcome and singled out. The barista was perfectly friendly and cordial to the customers both in front of and behind me, asking for their names and making pleasant conversation. However, when it was my turn, her entire demeanor changed. She seemed to view me as a complete nuisance. When I tried to be friendly and asked how her day was, I was met with a blunt "What can I get you?" and an impatient "Anything else?" that was full of attitude. To top it off, she forgot the two pumps of simple syrup I requested for my drink and never bothered to ask for my name. I left wondering what I had done to be treated so poorly when everyone else received warm service. An average cup of coffee isn't worth being made to feel like a burden. I would not recommend this place; there are plenty of other coffee shops in the area that will value your business.
Jaime M — Google review
What a great little coffee place… the selection of coffees and food items is pretty vast and the service is fairly quick. This place has the perfect little sitting area that looks out over the harbor too. Car parking can be a little hard to find, but that is not the Nautical Beans fault. I would come. The extra few miles to drink my coffee with this great atmosphere
Andrew M — Google review
It’s nice taking an early morning stroll by the beach with a great tasting cup of joe! But if you prefer to sit back and relax, they have a nice covered seating area overlooking the marina. They offer a wide variety of coffee blends with rotating selections, so you can change up your mornings. If hot coffee’s not your thing, they also have cold brewed coffee as well. In addition to coffee, they also have delicious breakfast items. And to top it off, the staff is wonderful. Make sure to swing by when you’re in the area. Oh ya, they sell mercy too, so if you’re just visiting, you can take something home as a souvenir.

Communal Coffee is a trendy and stylish coffee shop that offers a variety of breakfast pastries, lunch items, and an in-store boutique florist. With locations in Oceanside, South Park, and North Park communities in San Diego, this modern cafe provides a welcoming environment with comfortable seating options including a patio area.
This place was a whole mood! Bright, airy, full of greenery and cool retail—super unique. I fell in love with the sea salt and honey latte I had here, as well as the salted maple breakfast sandwich they offer. It's a must-visit if you're in Oceanside and need a coffee shop. Absolutely beautiful spot.

Adorable coffee shop with such a great selection of gifts, cards, plants, fresh flower bouquets, wine, and home items. Very spacious and lots of outdoor seating! I got a coconut cream cold brew and my husband got an iced oat milk latte- both very good. Quick service and the ability to order through the app.

My mom, her best friend and I ate here for brunch yesterday. It was delicious. We all have some sort of gluten intolerance (mine being celiac) and we were all able to get something delicious. They offer gluten free bagels, gluten free bread and numerous breakfast options. Their coffee is good and the blood orange drink was good as well. Just a little sweet. The experience was great, the people that worked there were nice. Their little shop for goodies was cute, my mom was able to buy a little perfume that smelled great. Overall it was a 10/10 and I recommend.
Miranda G — Google review
The coffee here is so delicious! I ordered an iced Mocha and my wife got an iced banana caramel latte. The banana caramel latte was fenomenal! I would definitely order that drink again. The Mocha wasn't sweet enough for me, so I added some brown sugar and that did the trick. The place inside is so cute aesthetically. It was very busy on Memorial Day, with everyone working on laptops or having meetups. The entire place is wheelchair accessible, including the seating and restrooms. We will definitely be back.
Alex — Google review
I stopped by Communal on a Saturday morning expecting a relaxing coffee shop experience, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. By the time I arrived, they had no clean cappuccino mugs available, and pastries were already gone. Instead of enjoying my coffee in a proper mug in the café atmosphere, I ended up with a paper cup — something I could have gotten from any fast-food chain. For a place that charges higher prices than many other coffee shops, I expect better attention to detail and a higher standard of service. A café experience is more than just the drink — it’s the presentation, the atmosphere, and the feeling of being taken care of. When those elements are missing, the value simply doesn’t match the price. That being said, I want to see this coffee shop succeed. I will come back and support them, but I’m leaving this review as constructive feedback. My hope is that they improve consistency — making sure mugs are available and pastries are stocked — so the experience matches the potential of the space and the price they charge.
Rich L — Google review
😕Not worth the hype or the price. I came here with my mom because I thought this cafe would be a safe, trusted choice stylish and well-known. But the coffee was a huge disappointment. My latte was overheated to the point it burned my tongue, there was way too much milk, almost no coffee flavor, and not even a hint of latte art. When a latte costs $6.50 (more than at most other cafes) I expect it to be made properly and to actually enjoy it. Instead, I left wondering why I didn’t just go to Revolution across the street , where the coffee tastes better, the service is friendlier, and the drinks actually look like they’re worth the price. Sadly, I won’t be coming back here, and I regret bringing my mom after telling her how great this place was supposed to be.

This place is underrated - I have no idea how anyone gives it less than 5 stars. I roast coffee myself, and this is the best I've had in a long time. The pastries are great too. The shop is well laid-out with lots of outdoor and indoor seating, and the staff is courteous. Plus there are lot of nice shops nearby to wander through. I'd come here every day if I could.

I love communal so much, I cannot say enough good things! It feels like a home away from home. First of all, the staff are just the friendliest, kindest most lovely people. It is the type of cafe where you get to know the baristas by name and coming into the shop each morning is a highlight of the day. The coffee is incredible. Even the decaf coffee is one of the best decafs I’ve ever tasted. If you like matcha the ceremonial matcha is the real deal - though it is priced quite high IMO it is absolutely delicious and potent. The default version sometimes comes with sugar so make sure you ask if you like it unsweetened. It’s such a great cozy place if you like to work from a cafe. It has great WiFi and a tasty menu with tons of options. The outdoor seating is so nice to work and get some time in the sun.

Took about an hour to get our food. The place wasn’t busy at all yet we didn’t get acknowledged until 25 minutes in. Ordered the lavender latte and cinnamon latte, loco moco and the chicken and waffles. Didn’t like a single thing. The lavender latte tasted burnt. Awful. The chicken was beyond dry. It was like jerky. The loco moco was the worst of everything we ordered. Meat was salty, gravy was so bad and the rice under it was worse. Ate a bite and left the rest. Such a disappointment to wait that long for bad and expensive food. Safe to say I won’t be back.

Good coffee. I’d put it mid tier since you’re surrounded by great coffee. But overall it probably has the best prices in the area.

This super cute coffee shop shares a lot with the Switchboard restaurant, so the menu photo may have elements from Switchboard - but this review is for North County Roastery! I came on a Sunday with a friend and we ordered several coffees and a tea. I got the lavender vanilla latte and the maple latte, and she got a chai tea latte. We both really enjoyed our drinks, though the maple latte was a stand out! They were well crafted, not too sweet and not bland. The drinks had a great flavor and beautiful latte art. I really enjoyed the presentation, the taste, and the experience! I did dine at Switchboard for the food but the two go hand in hand and both were a lovely experience. I highly recommend visiting!

Love this cafe! They had many delicious specialty lattes to choose from. We got the spiced pear iced latte (recommended by barista) and the lavender vanilla iced latte, both sooo good! They make their syrups in house so the drinks are very flavorful and not too sweet. The espresso itself was great. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and fast, though we weren’t in a rush. They don’t have a ton of seating inside (just a few tables) but it has a cute interior, and a cute patio with more tables too. 10/10!!

We ordered a mocha, a nitro cold brew, and the Da Kine Toast Sticks off the lunch menu — it was the best french toast and coffee we've had in years! The place is bright and beautiful too and the staff are on top of it and very friendly

This morning my wife and I enjoyed a study date at the Brown Cup Cafe & Lounge, located in Oceanside. The Cafe offers a warm, spacious, and cozy environment, perfect for studying. Earth tones make for a relaxing atmosphere. The wait staff quietly took our order. The Cafe seems friendly to local businesses by selling local honey and art. Many of the photos on display add to the ambiance, and they are for sale. Yes, I enjoyed my bold cup of coffee at hthe Brown Cup Cafe & Lounge. You may also want to sip on some coffee at the Cafe.

We came here for a nitro cold brew, which they were out of but still had a regular cold brew. The service was amazing, and the people helping us were so kind and welcoming. It’s such a cozy spot to hang out at or work out of. It’s also not too long a walk from the beach. Glad we stopped by!

It’s day 6 of visiting 7 coffee shops in 7 days. My buddy and I have loved this experience. The Brown Cup, knocked our socks off! The best visit so far. The staff were very friendly, they were so kind to us. The coffee is great! It’s actually strong, no need for an extra shot, which we needed at all the other places(this is just our preference of course and not everyone desires strong coffee). The wait time was only 5 minutes, less in fact. The shop is amazing, the atmosphere is great. We are rating four categories at each place. The atmosphere, coffee, wait time, and the shop itself. The Brown Cup Coffee shop earned a perfect 20 from us coffee connoisseurs. There are adorable stuffed bears, free WiFi, and outstanding seating. So many table and slicked to choose from. 5 stars!

It’s sad that I have to write this review, I’m not usually the type to write reviews but I was shocked what happened to me and my boyfriend. The first time we ever walked in here it was amazing and I was telling my boyfriend how much I enjoyed this place. We got a coffee to try since we are still new to the area and wanted to try out this coffee place, I even tipped the women who was at the register. Today we walked in and were denied service, I’m unsure why since the first time we came was a good experience the lady who takes orders told us “ I don’t like that you guys got a coffee and stayed a long time” she basically was telling us we couldn’t sit and enjoy ourselves while we drink coffee here, this made me sad because the last time we were there we were comfortable that’s why we stayed to enjoy ourselves. It’s sad that we can’t do that now, but I would rather go somewhere that we could study, while drinking our coffee without having any problems. I’m not sure why this happened to us and I’m not sure if anyone else went through this but just warning you, if you are somebody who likes to study and have coffee. I’m not sure she will let you stay. I hope this gets better here because it’s a nice place and I liked it at first, I’m sad I even have to write this. But it’s good to share this to others so that everyone can know what happened to us. And I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Black Rock Coffee Bar is a contemporary coffee chain that offers classic, specialty, and iced espresso beverages along with smoothies. The Oceanside location is a family-owned franchise deeply rooted in the community and known for its smooth medium roast with a robust flavor. It's a drive-thru-only spot where friendly baristas are ready to help you find the perfect drink, although some options tend to be on the sweeter side.
BEST CUP OF COFFEE This tiny drive thru coffee bar in a still sketchy part of Oceanside has the best coffee I've ever tasted. Seriously. I described to the barista what I wanted to drink one rainy morning: "A strong coffee but almost all vanilla flavored. Hot, not iced." The barista suggested The White Hammer White chocolate w/espresso shots It was smooth, but strong. No bitter aftertaste. It wasn't cloying or too sweet It was served actual drinking temp, not so hot I had to wait a half hour to drink it. A half hour later it was still warm & good to the last drop. No dregs at the bottom of my cup. I liked everything about this place, from the kinowlegable yet not too bubbly staff, to the edgy atmosphere. & DEFINITELY the coffee! I also ordered a cake pop, but the coffee was so good I didn't need it. 11/10 Would recommend.

Customer service is absolutely amazing! 🤩 The girl with the platinum blonde hair is just a doll! We came here 3 days in a row because the coffee was great & there’s some fun options. Not your traditional coffee shop but 1000% better than Trashbucks. Mint Chip chiller is fantastic. So is the blondie drink. Good options for traditional drinks or something fun. I definitely suggest stopping by if you haven’t. No storefront, just a drive thru. ******** Edited for an update on 8/1/25 Came here to leave a review and didn’t realize I already left one! A whole year later and service is still spectacular! Tried a new french toast iced coffee and it was great! Will be back sooner than later. ((Customer service is top tier as well.))

One of the best coffee places ever! I drove by here almost every day going to work before and if the line is not too long, I go through and get myself a hot jackhammer. They removed jackhammer from the menu but the staff still makes it anyway. I think there's only a few of us who likes a lot of espresso shot in our coffee 😀 Another go-to is the blackout. If it's the summer, I asked for blended blackout or jackhammer and it's always amazing! If I come in the afternoon, I like to get the mexican mocha. It's also amazing! One time I bought 6 hot blackouts and brough it to Irvine for my co-workers. They all loved it and hoped Black Rock opens a store there it. This is one local business that I will support 100%!

Vigilante Coffee is a delightful haven for coffee lovers, offering ample seating both indoors and on a vibrant patio where you can unwind with your favorite drink. This charming spot not only serves up delicious brews but also hosts live music events, inviting patrons to bring their instruments and join in the fun. Originally hailing from Hawaii, Vigilante has made its mark in Maryland and California, particularly standing out among Oceanside's coffee scene.
There’s something strange and comforting about walking into a coffee shop 2,700 miles from where you first found it — and realizing it hasn’t lost its soul. Vigilante Coffee, newly planted in Oceanside, California, feels both familiar and a little dreamlike, like you’ve wandered into a parallel version of a place you once knew in another life. The light is different — brighter, bluer — but the energy hums the same. It still smells like ambition and roasted beans, and the baristas still talk to you like it matters that you’re here. Inside, it’s laid-back but intentional. Sunlight filters through clean design. There’s no performative cool here — just quiet confidence, the kind that comes from knowing your coffee is excellent and your mission is honest. I ordered a house roast oatmilk latte, the way I always do. It arrived with no ceremony, just a beautiful pour and that telltale aroma — chocolate, a little citrus, something to anchor you in your day. Smooth, deep, unfussy. Not a trendy drink. A real one. The staff? As always, generous with their time and knowledge. They answered questions with ease but never condescension. They like coffee, and they like talking about it. It’s rare. You can feel the training — but more than that, you feel the culture. And just under the surface — still — is their ethos: ethical sourcing, hands-on relationships with growers, small-batch roasting that doesn’t scream for attention but somehow speaks clearly. That hasn’t changed. This place feels like a continuation, not a copy — like something was carried westward with care. It’s Vigilante with salt in the air and the beach just a block or two off. Less rust belt, more surf town. Still Vigilante. If you’re in Oceanside, go. If you’ve never been to the original, this is a perfect beginning. And if you have — well, you’ll recognize the feeling.

I am not a frequent customer at Vigilante, but I always enjoy my time there, so I tend to return. The service has always been wonderful and kind, and that is one of the reasons I return. I love the open air seating. It always makes my morning coffee taste a bit better. This time, I ordered a vanilla latte with oatmilk. Ordinarily, it is delicious, but it tasted burnt. The bitter espresso flavor was not my jam. My husband ordered an oatmilk mocha, and that was tasty! We also ordered a raspberry pop tart. The icing was a bit sweet, but overall, it was a great experience.
Ivy S — Google review
I enjoyed a moment with my daughter at Vigilante Coffee, located on the south side of Oceanside. Vigilante Coffee provides an open-air experience. Its high ceiling and large windows allow for a nice ocean breeze ambiance. Moreover, Vigilante large indoor seating gives plenty of elbow space. They also offer outdoor seating. During my visit (about 3:45 pm), there were many people working on their laptops. The large wooden table naturally fills the space by offering community, a place to sit and talk. Vigilant offers both yummy drinks and interesting merchandise. Yes, I look forward to another visit at Vigilante. When you are in Oceanside, stop by Vigilante and enjoy a moment.

Motivating place to work remote with friendly, knowledgeable staff and fresh tasting menu items. Customers are in the door as soon as they open no matter what day it is. I've always been able to find a parking spot and find a table with a plug for my computer. I'm a morning person so it's nice that they open early and it's a chill atmosphere to work in. Very close to the beach which is where I'll stop before or after my visit for a run. Their iced (or hot) vanilla latte with oat milk is my go to beverage. Very smooth and the flavor is never overpowering. They offer baked goods that are from local shops in the area. Most of these items are gluten free, vegan or both. I've had a blueberry scone, chocolate chip cookie, apple crumb cake and the cherry avocado toast. You can clean up after yourself and put items in bins or they come around and grab it when they can. They offer free water on draft a the counter. It's an open, industrial concept and the front is made of garage doors and windows. I dress a little warmer / bring my coat with me when it's cold out - it's chilly inside sometimes. I like to sit near the back to watch them roast the beans in house. They also sell bagged coffee and other merchandise in the front of the shop. Also love this place because it is dog friendly inside and outside.

My boyfriend and I decided to have a little morning date after a week's worth of moving into a new apartment. I'm so glad that we picked out Vigilante Coffee as our coffee date because it's exactly what we needed. The food and drinks were filling and very much worth the price. We loved the fact that we could get half of the toast and acai bowels. This was a great way for us to try a little bit of everything without buying too much food. Each thing we got tasted amazing and we both agreed this would be a regular visit for our coffee dates. Lastly, the vibes overall in the cafe are very calm and cozy. It definitely gives some beach vibes without being too overcrowded. To top it off, they had a live guitar player that was playing some lofi music. If you need a relaxing cafe to unwind or to get some work done that's still lively, definitely stop by this place.

Great place to stop for a traditional breakfast. Outdoor seating covered. A little bit of a wait but worth it. Friendly and welcoming service. Plates are full/nice size portions. Their pancakes 🥞 ARE fluffy, you can actually share the short stack (2). The 🥓 bacon and corn beef hash and eggs 🤤. Their vanilla had me 3 cups in (and I'm not a coffee ☕ drinker).

One of the better breakfast options in Oceanside. Located right on HWY 101 it’s not very far from the ocean and carries that casual, beachy feel to the restaurant. It’s quite large on the inside with many different sitting areas as well as covered outdoor seating, which is where we sat for our breakfast. There is a large free parking lot in back so parking was really easy. Our waiter was also very polite and the service was very fast. Only downside was we had to wait about 30 mins to be seated for a party of 4 for our Saturday morning brunch. For my first visit I chose the Santa Fe Scramble and loved it. The chorizo was perfectly spicy and it was a large sized portion. I opted for the free Coffee Cake on the side and thought it was one of the best Coffee Cakes that I have had in a very long time. It was moist and full of cinnamon flavor and the glaze on top was warm and just mixed so well with it. I would not miss it! Overall a great breakfast spot. I don’t drive up to Oceanside often but next time I do I would definitely consider eating here again and would recommend to anyone else in the area.

Had the best bonding time with my granddaughter today! We enjoyed a lovely breakfast together 🥞🍳🍽️☕😋🥓. The beach vibes of the restaurant were just delightful! Our server, Kelly, was super friendly and really engaged with us. We definitely had a wonderful and filling breakfast!
Teena M — Google review
After a 20 min wait we sat outside on patio. Quaint surf beach cafe setting. Friendly and efficient service. I had a very delicious omelette with perfectly crisp hash brown potatoes. The coffee cake was light but a bit on the sweet surgery side.
R R — Google review
Great spot for breakfast or early lunch. The food is delicious, the menu is large, but not overbearing, and the service was attentive and friendly. The coffee cake was outstanding, as was my meal. My eggs and sausage were cooked perfectly. I love the So-Cal surfing/skateboarding theme to the inside of the restaurant. There is pictures, articles, and memorabilia hung to observe and read to keep you occupied while you wait. It was busy but the turnover was fast and while eating I didn't feel rushed by waitstaff.
Chris C — Google review
Very loud atmosphere, have to talk at a elevated level to be able to hear who’s sitting across from you. Wasn’t too amazed by the food, it wasn’t bad just nothing spectacular. would definitely come here if you have friends or family that like a more simple food.

This was our first visit here and we loved it . The atmosphere is definitely awesome . Skateboards , surfboards and tons of photos of surfing as decor , definitely California. Very Clean and staff always made sure coffees full and we had everything we needed. For sure a locals place , it seemed everyone knew each other. Ordered Avocado toast and fruit and I’m pretty picky about my avocado toast this was perfect !!! ABC omelette was ordered as well and it was great . Will definitely be going back .

The Oceanside Sunset Market is a beloved weekly event that has been drawing in thousands of locals and tourists for over a decade. Taking place every Thursday from 5-9 pm, this vibrant market spans four blocks and features over 200 vendors offering a diverse range of goods. Visitors can explore the international food court, browse the world market, enjoy live music performances, and indulge in gourmet grab-and-go treats at Fresh and Ready Row.
I genuinely look forward to Thursdays here in Oceanside. The vibrant food scene draws me in with a variety of mouthwatering options, from fresh seafood to tempting street tacos. I usually aim to arrive before 5 PM, as the atmosphere becomes bustling with people eager to indulge in the culinary delights. After savoring a delicious meal, I like to stroll down to the Oceanside Pier. The view at sunset is simply breathtaking, with hues of orange, pink, and purple painting the sky as the sun dips below the horizon. Watching the waves crash against the pier while the day comes to a close is such a peaceful experience. I love Oceanside...O'side 😁😊🥰
Teena M — Google review
Great market with a lot of different types of food and other vendors. There are many vegan and vegetarian options. There is also live music. We really enjoyed it.

If you are ever planning a holiday to Oceanside, make sure you're here on a Thursday. You do not want to miss this outstanding, family-friendly, dog friendly bustling market with every type of street food you could ever imagine. I walked around with a smile on my face, absorbing the atmosphere and the aromas wafting from the vendors. It is an absolute dream for a foodie like myself. Great music and entertainment in every corner. It is a safe environment for a solo traveler, and the people are just so nice. I walked to and from my hotel. Grab some dinner and don't forget dessert and make the short walk to the beach for a sunset picnic. This was a night I'll never forget, and I would go again in a heartbeat...I won't eat all day either, so I can try it all.
Nadine B — Google review
I didn't really know what to expect but was told it was a great market to visit. I enjoyed my time here, eventually finding food from 3 different vendors to keep everyone in the family happy. There's a great atmosphere, with live music and lots of people just milling around. I would have liked a few more non food stores to have looked at.
Steve — Google review
Looking for beach, foods around the world, live music and good vibes. Stop by the Sunset market on a Thursday. Lots of choices and vendors to check out. There is parking nearby in garages for $5 for day of event. When done with the market it is a short stroll away from Oceanside pier.

The freaking Blueberry Cobbler! Whoa smokies was that bomb. Had a soul warming dirty chai to go with the cobbler and it was a perfect start to my day off. I’m not one to gate keep but they’ve really got down the delicious munchies here. Please don’t buy up my blueberry cobbler! I also love the local artists featured in the store and the fact they even have performers. I’ll have to make my way back here to check them out. Left with an incredible handmade mug from a local artists and full belly of goodness.

Genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had a coffee shop. Customer service and atmosphere were friendly and our food and coffees were beyond delicious. The kind of experience that makes you audibly say ‘WOW’ out loud. Drinks: - Lavender Coconut Oat Milk Latte - Mexican Mocha Food: - Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip cake - Blueberry Donut - Breakfast Burrito

Amazing spot with great options for both vegans and non-vegans! I had a vegan breakfast sandwich and a brownie - both were super tasty. The staff was really friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.
Kashcheeva O — Google review
I really wanted to love Jitters Coffee—it’s got a chill atmosphere, good vibes, and it wasn’t overcrowded. The comfortable décor and mellow playlist make it the perfect spot to hang out and sip a coffee…if you’ve got time to spare. I ordered their breakfast sandwich (menu price + tax = $20), opting for the “real” version with cheddar and sausage since the rest of the menu is vegan. After ordering, they came back to say they could do real cheddar but not real sausage—so I ended up with genuine cheddar and vegan sausage. Speaking of slow: despite the café being pretty empty, it took a whopping 25 minutes to get my one sandwich. The staff were friendly and apologetic, but if you’re in a hurry, this isn’t your place. That said, if you want to chill, don’t mind paying premium prices, and are into vegan-forward menus (or just love real cheddar), Jitters is a cool spot to unwind—just plan ahead.

Came here after seeing a coffee lovers IG advertisement. Another plus was hearing about the owners and the potential for meeting Jason. The atmosphere is cute and cosy, and the avocado toast is LOADED and delicious! The "latte" was super disappointing...not your typical craft latte. Tasted a lot more like drip coffee with a splash of milk. (Picture as presented :/ ) If you"re vegan you'll appreciate the flavors of their food. Never saw Jason! :( But in all seriousness, great avocados.

Nestled in an industrial area of Oceanside, Come On Over Cafe is a delightful spot that combines comfort with delicious offerings. This family-run gem, operated by an aunt and niece duo, invites you to unwind on their charming terrace while indulging in a variety of paninis, bagels, pastries, and expertly brewed coffee. Known for its cozy atmosphere reminiscent of home, the cafe has garnered attention for its mouthwatering sandwiches—ranked 15th among the best sandwich spots nationwide!
The breakfast bagel was delicious. Fluffy eggs, crisp bacon, fresh Avocado and a panini-pressed crispy bagel. The cheese was perfectly melted and the choice of bagel paired beautifully. Highly recommend. The fact that this cafe is adjoining an auto shop is the coolest thing ever. Shout out to Angus the auto kitty.
Shante G — Google review
Heard these guys were ranked 15th out of the 100 best sandwich spots in the nation by Yelp so of course we had to try it for National Sandwich Month (August). My daughter and I stopped in right before closing around 1:30pm-ish and ordered the Chicken Pesto and Chicken Bacon Ranch Avocado sammiches. It took some time for them to make them, but once they were ready, they walked them over to use neatly packed inside to-go containers. That was really nice. Once we got home and tried a few bites, we were hooked. Both were excellent and we could only eat half the sandwich before we were full. The photos make the sammiches look small but they are not. They contents are dense and rich. This is a meal, and only $11 which is amazing. I wished I would have tried some of their coffee but now I just need to come back and try more of the menu anyway :-)
Erich C — Google review
This is one of the best sandwich cafe that I have been to! The quality of the food is excellent and service is always welcoming. Don’t let the industrial neighborhood spook you, just follow the map and I can tell with confidence that you’ll make this your to go sandwich shop.

Absolutely delicious breakfast sandwiches. We ordered a bacon and Swiss and breakfast bagel. Both were toasted perfectly. That crunch with that first bite was when I knew I was in for a real treat. There was cozy seating inside and a patio area that is dog friendly. Definitely will be coming back!

My husband & I were looking for a new place for breakfast. Someone had posted this location on a social media post and the ratings were impressive. It’s located in an industrial area. I think one would come across this place when searching for a breakfast place or if they were a local. I ordered a raspberry mocha with less syrup pumps. It was perfect. My husband had the drip coffee. I had the Build Tour Own with sourdough bread, chicken, provolone, spinach, & garlic mayo. My husband had the breakfast sandwich with Monterey Jack cheese on an everything bagel. We enjoyed our sandwiches. It was all tasty. This is a great local gem to come and have a meal. There’s room for groups of people to sit inside or outside.
Trecia L — Google review
We read about this cafe/deli, #15 on the best cafes in the U.S. We were anxious to go. Was the most delicious sandwich. Build your own! Toasted turkey, deli mustard, Avocado, cheese, lettuce, pickle, tomato, red onion. Patio in shade. Parking is limited. Can't wait to go back for breakfast bagel and specialty coffees. Reasonable low prices...4.00 for a coffee too. Been there for 8 years!
Cindy W — Google review
What a Gem!! This reminds me of a cozy home cafe and I definitely would keep coming over. Like another reviewer mentioned if I worked nearby, the cafe folks would know me by name (probably by order as well). Their hoagie is hog heaven and their Jalapeno Bagel Breakfast is also a nice spicy wake up call. The drinks are also on point! So delish! I come here whenever I can, and would highly recommend, just be aware of their open days and time, if unsure a quick call works.

Panels Comic Book Coffee Bar is a trendy and laid-back establishment that combines the love for comic books with a strong emphasis on coffee. The management showcases their expertise in both areas, prioritizing exceptional customer service and high-quality beverages brewed with Bird Rock beans. Whether you're an experienced comic book enthusiast or a novice, the staff is well-equipped to provide excellent recommendations. The shop's kid-friendly atmosphere offers entertainment through a GameCube featuring Smash Bros and a dedicated section for local authors.
This place is freaking awesome. They have lots of comics to choose from: DC, Marvel, Indie, graphic books/novels etc. And while browsing you can get a coffee. They have special themed drinks which I think is awesome. I will continue going here and adding to this review.

A trendy and relaxed comic book store with a serious passion for coffee. The management really knows what they’re doing and emphasizes customer service and quality drinks (Bird Rock beans!) In addition, the staff can give good comic recommendations whether you’re a seasoned comic pro or a beginner. This place is kid-friendly, too- theres a GameCube with Smash Bros on it and a good kid’s section that even features local authors. Do NOT miss out on supporting this local business! Recommendations: Almond Joy (iced), baclava.

Since checking out Panels I’ve been more than impressed. It’s a smaller shop but has an open feel to it, lots of selection of comics, great coffee, and a friendly helpful staff. This isn’t what you think of when you think of a comic store. Panels has a very modern, clean, and new feel to it and is definitely the kind of place I’ll be back to.

Awesome little comic book store, with amazing coffee to boot! Staff is super friendly, and their selection of comic books is impressive! Definitely will go again!
Lisa R — Google review
This is such a great place! Rewards punch card is a nice touch; buy 5 coffees get one on the house. With an idea like this it would be easy to let either the coffee or the comics selection slip i to sub-par territory, but that is not the case here: great drinks with awesome comic themed names AND a really great selection of comics to choose from for perusal or purchase. It could stand alone and be great as a coffee bar or a comic shop, but the combination here is really an awesome success! So glad to have this in my 'hood!

It was my first time going into panels and I had such a great experience! I loved looking at all the comics they had (trust me it was a lot !) and the Wakanda Mocha was absolutely amazing! The staff are super cool and chill , I will definitely come back soon and defo recommend it!!

We walked 3/4 miles from The Village to try this coffee house. Very glad we did. The cashier taking orders greeted everyone like neighbors. I really like Ginger so I immediately gravitated to the Ginger Spiced Chair Tea. Glad I did as it is delicious. My husband orders Matcha wherever he goes. When asked he replied this version was uniquely good. Maybe it was the oat milk. If you’re in the village, take the time to come. You won’t regret it.

The atmosphere of this place was very peaceful. I enjoyed my time inside waiting for my coffee. I ordered a latte (hot) and my husband ordered a flat white. The espresso in my latte was very nutty and complimented the milk nicely. They provide single origin, so that's a big win! Our drinks were crafted quickly and with care.

This morning, I enjoyed a cup of coffee, with my wife, at Steady State Roasting. The first thing I noticed was the open and airy atmosphere. The hanging plants only added to the ambiance. My wife delightfully sipped from a latte, while I had a house coffee. The house coffee was uniquely flavored, a bit bitter. Steady State Roasting has reusable stirring spoons, which is eco-friendly. Finally, they offer indoor and outdoor seating, to optimize the moment. Yes, this experience was worthy of a return visit.

This place is lovely. They have a really nice selection of drinks, they have a tad but of uniqueness to them. The food looks delicious, clean, and wholesome. And the environment is clean, has air-conditioning which is a great repreve from the hotness of the sunlight in summer season. The atmosphere has a trendy artistic vibe, but it's more of an undertone, and it's spacious and open, not small or crowded. They space has a free feeling that's very flowy and calm.

Best coffee in Carlsbad and the surrounding cities. Super nice/helpful staff. A bummer they don’t write the roast dates on their bags of retail coffee. I was told the bag I bought was recently roasted but not being transparent with your product that’s over $20 is, in my opinion, lazy. I know the date I bought the coffee but no clue when it was roasted. Other than that, great coffee. Great experience.

I like this little coffee shop right in the heart of Carlsbad Village. The food menu is a little bit limited, but everything is fresh-baked and made on site. Which I really do appreciate. coffee is a great quality and delicious. There is plenty of seating in the back patio area behind the coffee shop

Revolution Roasters is a great place if you need some peace, comfort and a good cup of coffee. My boyfriend and I came to the cafe today with some friends who were visiting California. We agreed that it was the perfect spot to get coffee and food to start our day before giving them a tour of SD. I've had different types of toast/pastries throughout SD/North County and this place has some of the best. Not only was everything refreshing but all the flavors were complimentary. Additionally, the service was amazing. Everyone there was so kind and inviting. The food did take a bit of time to get to our table but it was worth it. Plus, the drinks were ready very quickly.

While thinking of a coffee moment with my daughter, we decided to try Revolution Roasters in Carlsbad. This open air coffee shop allows you to delight in the lovely weather. This seems like a perfect place to study. The artificial turf appears toddler friendly. Surprisingly, Revolution Roasters does not accept cash payment, which seemed odd. The barista quickly responded to our order, and we soon began to sip on our coffee. I will certainly bring others here to have a good time.

Stumbled upon this cozy coffee spot while walking through downtown Carlsbad near the beach, and it was a great find! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of seating both indoors and out. I love the unique drinks and food menu for each season. My personal fav is their Christmas drink. They make their own syrups and that syrup is like none other.

Excellent coffee! Honestly premium roast. Only gripe is no mugs for inhouse coffee. Only paper cups. If you’re getting a steamy brew to stay. It needs to come in a porcelain mug. Those are just the facts. I hope they get some mugs in the future

Plantology Cafe in Oceanside is a unique coffee shop that doubles as a plant nursery, making it a paradise for plant enthusiasts. The cafe offers a vibrant atmosphere with an abundance of plants and fresh air. While some find the prices to be on the higher side and the service slightly slow, others rave about the high-quality coffee, particularly recommending the Iced Vanilla latte and Iced Mazapan latte made with oat milk.
This charming coffee shop has quickly become one of my all-time favorites! My go-to drink is the Mi Tierra, absolute perfection. Two shots of espresso blended with rich Oaxaca chocolate? Love the vibes at this place. Tons of plants around and plenty of fresh air. I ordered a plain latte. It wasn't really anything special, and I found it to be a bit pricey for what it is, as the hot selection only comes in 12oz for ~$6. Orders also took some time to come out, which wasn't an issue for me, but could be if I was in a rush. Overall would recommend checking this place out, since it is a unique atmosphere and offers a variety of interesting menu options.

Cold brew on tap with a variety of syrups available to flavor your coffee! In late October, they had gingerbread, pumpkin, and apple cider syrups so you can have whatever flavor of Fall you prefer. The gent working the register was super friendly and helpful! There were also pastries available, including a raspberry cream cheese filled one.

This place is awesome! I got an iced chai latte and it is the best chai latte I have ever had. They make their syrups in house which I normally find to be very pretentious so I wasn't that excited but if this is what other "coffee" shops have been attempting with their in house syrups then this is where Jet Fuel is dominating the game. Keep crushing it y'all.

The drinks here are amazing and the so are the staff: Andy, Hunter, Zamora, Kyle are the staff I encounter the most. I love that they give explanations of the drinks, recommend drinks, and can help you customize drinks based off of your likes. Some of the drinks are seasonal but their seasons last pretty long so you have plenty of time to get your favorite drink. I also love that their syrups are made by the staff. The pastries are also made by a chef employed there. The blueberry muffin is addicting, the overnight oats was very satisfying and the raspberry biscuit was delightful. Main point is everything comes from inside the restaurant and it really is a lab. They experiment so much with different flavors, I can't see ever being disappointed. ***update*** although the new staff are really nice, it hasn't been the same since Hunter, Zamora, Makayla, and the chef left. I miss the hospitality that they always shown to the regulars. Some of the desserts have changed, still good but not the same. the overall vibe has changed. Drinks are still good and they continue to experiment with new flavors. Prices have gone up like $2 , since I started going. So it can no longer be my regular go to.

Panca Peruvian Cuisine & Rotisserie is a cozy eatery located in a strip mall, offering a modern space to enjoy traditional Peruvian dishes. The restaurant is known for its generous portions and reasonable prices, making it an ideal spot for lunch or dinner. Customers rave about the wonderful soups that are reminiscent of Thai red curry but with a strictly Peruvian twist, as well as the quarter chicken lunch special offered at an affordable price.
Charming spot for lunch or dinner. I love the wonderful soups here which are a complete meal, that remind me s little of Thai red curry but are strictly Peruvian in nature, wonderful broth, fish ( red snapper) or a generous serving of shrimp, with both rice and potatoes. Nice house wines at very reasonable prices by the glass. Service is friendly and prices are very reasonable. There is a quarter chicken lunch special offered for $7.50. Don’t forget to visit the sister store next door for amazing desserts, empanadas and tortas (similar to quiche but very thick) a common South American dish. This is cooking at it’s best. Don’t miss this restaurant, try something you have never eaten before, you will not be disappointed. Family owned.

At first I wasn't impressed with the entrance. Since I don't judge and Google suggested this place based on my other visits to Peruvian restaurants I gave it a try. The food has no flavor at all the presentation is without imagination. I ate the Aji de Gallina: Creamy spicy sauce with Parmesan, Peruvian yellow pepper, and pecans served over a bed of potato and a side of Peruvian white rice. It's not good I was very sick for two days after eating this dish. For $15.95 it's not worth it. Also you don't serve potato and rice at the same time. "Creamy chicken" had more potato and hardly any chicken. Husband ordered Papa Rellena: Two soft potatoes stuffed with tender beef, cooked in Peruvian spices, white onion, garlic, raisins, and, and a slice of hard-boiled egg, served with a side of Peruvian white rice and Salsa Criolla. For $13.95 to eat deep fried potatoes with maybe 1g of meat stuffed inside is not worth it. Husband ordered salad in lieu of rice. At least he enjoyed that. Food not served as described in the menu ... once served, the portion was certainly underwhelming. The beer, although expensive at $8.00, was the only other part of the experience we did enjoy. I noticed one of cooks inside the kitchen had a full black beard without a net; one of the waitresses who brought the food had a very dirty apron. As a courtesy we went there maybe 2 days later to talk to the manager to let them know I got sick so that they can make needed improvements to keep others from getting sick as well. However the response was that s/he was too busy to talk to us. A person who knows what authentic Peruvian food tastes like, I've eating in several in e.g. NYC, will not eat there again. For me, as soon as a restaurant's dish makes me sick, I will never go back!

This place is bomb! Portions are generous and fairly priced. My personal favorites were the ceviche and the chicharron sandwich. We got the rotisserie chicken as well, which my friends really enjoyed, but I personally thought it wasn't as great as I hoped for. Perhaps I just prefer my chicken fried. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Flavors are all vibrant and unique and I would come again.

The service and food were good. The appetizer was the best part of the meal. The lamb entree was flavorful, especially the beans. The chicken entree was very creamy and heavy, but was well spiced. The rice with the entrees was also very rich.

If you like Peruvian food then you just have to give Panca Peruvian Cuisine a try! The Ceviche is a must try! One of the best Ceviche's I've tried! Definitely one of my favorite dishes on the menu. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Lol..😁 Update - We definitely returned for another visit to have some more of the awesome ceviche and decided to try the rotisserie chicken dish and the Aji e gallina. Everything was so tasty & on point!! If your ever in the area then give them a try!! You won't be disappointed!

Been to Peru and the food definitely has a Peruvian flair. It's a small cozy environment and the choices were well thought-out. Chiccharon sandwich was fantastic on the chiobata bread and their chicken was tender and flavorful. Ended the meal with the creme brulee and I'm definitely coming back.

I’ve been here a few times, and it’s consistently good Peruvian cuisine. The lomo Saltado is delicious. The portion sizes are generous. I also ordered the papas rellanas, it was good. It’s a small restaurant with table service. The food comes quickly. No complaints about this place whatsoever.

We came to see the December Christmas parade in the water and it was definitely a nice experience! We came one hour early and was able to find parking 🅿️ me and my daughter enjoyed ourselves! We really enjoyed driving around this harbor. People were enjoying watching the Sea Lions, and eating at restaurants nearby. We ate at Joe's crab shack, and it was wonderful. The parking is a little limited, but there's more parking opposite the restaurant, through the tunnel.

I love the atmosphere. This would be 5star if there were more shops and variety to the kinds of shops. This is mostly a place to eat and take in the atmosphere. I think it is a gem of a place to Oceanside. I love seeing boats in their slips and people out paddle boarding and kayaking. There is a place here to rent these items as well so you can also enjoy the calm waters of this harbor

Black Plague Brewing is an impressive venue with a spacious and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. It stands out by not overwhelming patrons with excessive televisions or pop music. This dog-friendly establishment boasts a fantastic selection of beers, and its affiliation with an exceptional burger joint makes it even more appealing. On top of that, they offer enticing deals like receiving a complimentary case of beer when spending $75 on their merchandise. However, some may find the presence of numerous hipsters to be slightly excessive.
Black Plague beat all expectations by leaps and bounds. This place is the definition of cool and the beer is spectacular!! So much so….I bought a t shirt commemorating the Troublemaker IPA. The space is gigantic, the vibes are a mix of brewery meets cool basement meets Medieval Plague hospital complete with a guillotine. The Troublemaker (West Coast IPA) and Gothica are two strong recommendations with the emphasis on Gothica. Worth the long venture from Oceanside, loved my evening at Black Plague!

I love this place, representing the best in what San Diego breweries can possibly offer, amazing beer, food always available and the best part, culture. Amazing service, accommodating, happy to host, attentive and they listen to their customers. Killer style, flaves, tasteful music, ON POINT!

I was in the area for work from Seattle and stopped here for a few beers after a long day. I've been to a lot of great breweries in and around Seattle and Portland and I'm rarely as impressed by the beer as I was here. A compelling mix of different styles and everything had a lot of flavor while being very easy to drink.

Really nice place. Big open space. Not overly focused on having TV's on every inch of the wall. No pop music played here over the sound system. Dog friendly. Beer selection is great. Amazing burger place attached to the brewery. Amazing! They had a deal when I went. Spent $75 on beer and a t-shirt and they gave me a case of beer for free. Yeah, 24 beers for free. Few too many hipsters for my like but, to each their own. 🤣

Nestled in a charming 1886 brick building, Pannikin Coffee & Tea offers a delightful blend of history and modern comfort. Located in the heart of Leucadia, this family-owned café is one of the few remaining structures from the 1800s, making it a unique spot for coffee lovers. With its cozy atmosphere and spacious patio, patrons can enjoy expertly crafted beverages while soaking up live music or simply relaxing outdoors.
Always a good experience at the Pannikin. Had always visited the Leucadia location, but decided to stop in at Oceanside location today. Ham,cheese, pepper jack croissant with a strawberry danish and a couple of coffees to get Saturday off on the right foot.

Love this place—it’s so nice, great space, excellent coffee. Dark Roast Coffee and Heavy Cream! Yes! Return Visit had the Breakfast Tacos—very good and generous serving. Met Owner Dempsey and another excellent service from Dulce. Very kind, patient, friendly, helpful. Got the large Americano—20oz has 3 shots and it’s delicious. Baked Goods look amazing—made in house fresh daily at the Carlsbad location. Gonna check that one out soon. Cozy nooks inside and out, love the vibe. A great place to work, meet, read, relax, socialize. I walked to it from the beach, so not too sure on parking options—seems like street only with meters.

This new Pannikin is one of the best small coffee shops in San Diego County. It's a great edition to Downtown Oceanside! They did a great job of turning this into an inviting space with lots of seating options. No matter what size of a party you bring, there are definitely seating accommodations for you inside and outside. There is a wonderful small patio in the front and a much larger patio in the back and on the sode of the building. There is also an assortment of comfortable nooke to sit and enjoy a coffee alone, or socialize with friends. The coffee at Pannikin has always been top-notch. You can really tell the difference in the richness of flavor in their drinks. There is a fun little gift and merchandise store inside to peruse while you wait. They offer all manner of coffee drinks, whole and ground coffee by the bag. This location also serve great food, and they have something for every diet type. It's never been a problem for them to customize orders. The food selection is way better than most coffee shops. Not only do they have the traditional pastries you expect with coffee, but they have a robust menu of breakfast and lunch dishes, as well as a super selection of desert confections. Pannikin Cinnamon Rolls are some of the best around, especially if you get here early. There is lots of parking all around. Some time limited parking on the street, and a huge parking garage across the street. There are lots parking options in short walking distance, too.

So this is a bit different of review. While I absolutely love this place and so does Laura, I am very disappointed with they way they present (or lack thereof) pricing. Yes, I know Pannikin has good food. I know they are a bit more expensive than other coffee/bakery places. But it's sticker shock when you order the quiche and find out it's 15 dollars. This location shows two dollar signs, but I do think they need to adjust expectations, or at least post some pricing. I'm honestly not sure if we will go here again without knowing how much something is going to cost. Do better, Pannikin.

I come here almost every week for a flat white, latte or drip coffee. Great service and great vibe. Have not tried any meals but have tried a few pastries, none of which I would order again. There is WiFi which makes this a good study/work location. Outdoor seating in front and in back.

Don's Country Kitchen is a beloved neighborhood spot that serves up delicious country-style breakfast and sandwiches, along with Bloody Mary's and mimosas. With locations in Carlsbad and Oceanside, it has been a favorite among locals for many years. The cozy atmosphere invites guests to enjoy their eggs & bacon, machaca, or stuffed french toast while watching the neighborhood activity. Despite the potential wait for a table, patrons find the food well worth it.
Perfection! From our greeting from Daniel through the meal, everything was done brilliantly! We did have a 25 minute wait and it was well worth it. The biscuit and gravy was one of the best I've ever had. Fresh made and tender. Fluffy. Gravy is lick-the-plate delicious! Ordered a half portion eggs Benedict (love this option). Smokey Canadian bacon, perfectly cooked egg and hollandaise sauce is as good as home made. And hash browns were crispy. Peach waffle - yes please! Such a treat. Go. Enjoy. 100% would go back!

Ever take a bite so good that everyone at the table just goes quiet? That was us. Eleven loud, hungry family members, instantly humbled by biscuits and gravy. It was our last morning in Oceanside. We were sunburned, half-packed, and honestly just trying to squeeze in one last good meal before heading home. Don’s Country Kitchen didn’t just give us a good meal. It gave us one of the best moments of the trip. Parking was a bit of a mess. The wait was about 25 minutes. But the second we sat down and the food started hitting the table, every single complaint vanished. Here’s what went down. ⸻ 🍽 Let’s Talk About What We Ate Tuna Melt Golden grilled bread, crisp and buttery on the outside. Inside? Melted cheese and creamy, savory tuna that had real flavor. It was rich, gooey, and comforting in the best way. Everyone wanted a bite. I should’ve ordered two. Strawberry Belgian Waffle Straight up looked like it belonged in a commercial. Fluffy waffle topped with mounds of whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Came with syrup on the side so you could drizzle as much as your sugar-loving heart desired. Breakfast Sandwich Stacked with crispy bacon, cheddar, and fluffy eggs on a toasted English muffin. It had that classic breakfast energy. And the fruit cup that came with it was surprisingly fresh and sweet. Biscuits and Gravy with Fries These biscuits were huge, soft, and soaked in thick sausage gravy that tasted homemade. The gravy was peppery and rich. Fries on the side were crispy and golden. Total comfort food perfection. Omelet with Avocado and Hash Browns A fully loaded omelet topped with fresh sliced avocado. But that hash brown? It was a giant crispy sheet of golden potatoes. Crunchy all the way through. Easily the best hash brown I’ve had in a long time. Eggs Benedict on Roasted Potatoes Poached eggs sitting on top of seasoned potatoes and sautéed spinach. Then came the hollandaise sauce. Rich, smooth, and drizzled just right. They put real care into this one. It wasn’t just breakfast. It was brunch with flair. ⸻ 💥 Stuff We Didn’t Get But Wished We Did We saw the stuffed hash browns go to another table and it nearly broke us. Same with the cinnamon rolls and mimosa flights. Everyone around us looked like they were living their best brunch life. Trust the reviews. These items are worth coming back for. ⸻ 🎯 Service Was On Point Our server was fast, kind, and kept the good vibes going even with a party of 11. No missed orders. No attitude. Just great service from start to finish. ⸻ 🏖 Ambiance Was Pure Oceanside This place feels like a local classic. Cozy inside. Chill outdoor seating. Friendly staff. The kind of spot where regulars bring their dogs and tourists feel like they found a hidden gem. It’s family-owned and you can feel that love in everything they do. ⸻ 🔥 Quick Tips Before You Go • Get there early. The line builds fast and parking is tight. • Do not skip the gravy. • Look around before ordering. You’ll probably change your mind after seeing what other people have on their plates. ⸻ ✅ Final Verdict: One of the Best Brunch Spots in Oceanside Don’s Country Kitchen turned our last vacation meal into one of the best moments of the trip. If you’re in Oceanside and wondering where to eat for breakfast or brunch, this is it. The food is legit. The vibe is warm. The service is on point. Whether you’re local or just passing through, you need this spot in your life. Go order the stuffed hash browns, grab a mimosa, and thank yourself later.
Michael S — Google review
Drove up to Oceanside specifically for this breakfast and we were all happy that we did so. The flavors are great, the portions are large, and the prices are fair. Parking can be a bit tricky because they have a very small parking lot attached in front but only for about four or five cars. Otherwise it will be free street parking. We arrived around 10AM for Saturday brunch and had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated for a party of three. We felt the wait was worth it though. The food items arrived quickly after we ordered and our waitress was very polite. Inside is pretty large and they have indoor and outdoor seating options. For my first visit, I chose my favorite breakfast dish, which is Eggs Benedict and decided to order their Chorizo Benedict. It honestly had some great flavors and was almost spicy but in the perfect way. I really enjoyed it and ate every bit of it and would highly recommend it. I already want to come back and try some more dishes and would definitely consider this one of the better breakfast options in Oceanside.

Heard good things about this restaurant from friends and Yelp so we had to try it out. We traveled from Camarillo to Oceanside for a full day of soccer games. Immediately were we greeted by the staff and basically had our choice of tables since it was only 8:30am. Service was prompt and friendly. Broken Yolk has become our go to breakfast place for end of our visit with family in Oceanside! This past weekend happened to be mother's day weekend and it was especially busy, wait time was crazy but the staff and our server were pleasant! The food is always really good and portions are decent. I decided to try their mimosa flight which comes with four different ones, lemonade, grapefruit, cranberry, and the original orange juice. The lemonade was probably my fave but they were all pretty good! We were a large group and aside from the wait, we had a nice visit, everyone enjoyed their food! Will continue to visit and keep our tradition of ending our visits here!!

First time trying the Broken Yolk Cafe and it was good, but didn’t quite live up to the hype in my head. I love breakfast and was hoping for a little more wow factor. Broken Yolk Cafe offers an impressive variety of dishes, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. The food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing attention to detail that enhances the dining experience. The service is equally commendable, with a caring and attentive staff that ensures you feel welcome. However, be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak times. We visited on a Sunday for brunch and waited about 30 minutes for a table, which speaks to the cafe's popularity. Despite the wait, the quality of the food and service made it well worth it. Highly recommended for those looking for a satisfying and well-rounded dining experience!

Food was delicious. Ranchers skillet and salmon avocado toast were both enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend the Bloody Mary flight. Wine-based vodka and wine-based tequila is one of the worst experiences my taste buds have experienced. Definitely skip that and stick to their delicious breakfasts.

It was extremely busy on the Sunday that we visited at approximately 12 noon. Staffing was down by 20%, but our server was very attentive and amicable despite running around like a chicken. Food and drink came out fairly soon and was quite good. We had the soup and sandwich combo. Sandwiches were really good. My soup, chicken vegetable, was too salty. However, the tomato basil soup was excellent. The spice donut holes with cream cheese frosting on the side made for a great shareable appetizer. We enjoyed our meal that very busy day.

Our party of three waited almost 40 minutes because the restaurant was relatively short staffed which I understand. The hostess quickly took our drink order. Unfortunately, about three tables seated after us had their orders taken. A table seated approximately 10 minutes after us requested that “John” be their server. John promptly went out and took their order and spent quite some time with them. After waiting 25 minutes, my son informed the hostess that we haven’t had our order taken and others after us had ordered. I saw the hostess tell a female server. Once a table seated after me received their food I became pretty upset since we since haven’t had our order taken. John the manager then tried to blame “then confusion” on the hostess since she took our drink order. I found that pretty unprofessional. I have no issues with the hostess since she was helpful and pleasant. John tried to give me a card for a free entree but I declined since I will not be visiting the Broken Yolk in Oceanside again.

It's truly a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get. Five stars aren't enough this place is simply outstanding!

Had a couple bagels, Avocado toast on wheat, and a smoothie. Everybody raved about it. The food is great and tough to beat the prices.
Michael B — Google review
Great little hidden gem in downtown Oceanside. I had the ham sandwich and hubby had a roast beef bagel. Both were super yum but would’ve liked a tad bit more meat. I did appreciate the extra onions. Usually when I ask for extra onions anywhere else they don’t do it. So thank you for that. Shop was clean and tidy. We spent $27 total for the both of us and one drink.
Monique J — Google review
Very poor quality. Not freshly prepared food. Clearly microwaved bacon and egg on soggy bagel. Looks nothing like they’re online pictures. Very dissapointed. Even iced coffee was 90% milk. Disgusting.
Jordan R — Google review
This place had good reviews, so my wife and I gave it a try. 110% worth the trip. The bagels are fresh; nice and soft on the inside and good texture on the outside. The everything bagel my wife got was really good. I got the nacho cheese after seeing reviews, and it was amazing. Tomatoes were fresh tasting, even though they weren't in season. The coffee was good as well. A++ in the food/beverage department. Service was good. We were greeted at the door, and the counter person was polite and welcoming. The prices were more than fair, IMO. The building is nothing special. There's a small seating area inside, as well as some tables outside. It's what you'd expect for a small cafe bagel joint. Everything was clean, which is what matters. Overall great food and service. I'll go back for sure.

Creperie
Elena's French Crepes Cafe & Peet's Coffee is a charming little gem nestled on Pier View Way, run by a dedicated husband and wife duo. This delightful spot not only serves up an array of mouthwatering French-style crepes but also showcases local art, adding to its unique ambiance. With options like the savory ham and cheese crepe or the light lemon butter and sugar treat, each bite feels indulgent yet satisfying.
This woman knows what she’s doing, crepes were super fluffy, not dry at. Very generous with toppings and filling. My food did not last on the plate. 10⭐️s actually! These were the Nutella and nut crepes. 9 dollars and some change for the price but worth so much more!
El B — Google review
The coffee “latte” was burned and tasted like drip coffee. The ham and cheese crepe was made with slices of lunch meat. The egg salad crepe was literally just hot egg salad that tasted store bought inside of a hot crepe. It’s on a road across the street from the public library, so at least there were the water fountains across the street. The lady working was very nice, so no complaints there.
Greg J — Google review
Definitely a spot to check out! A lot of great crepe choices, I had a tough time actually choosing. The lemon, butter and sugar was sooo good. Sweet but still fairly light. My husband got the fudge and loved it. The artwork inside really gives this place some extra character as well. The lady working was very nice.
Brandi B — Google review
I've been coming to Elena's the last 3 years. I can say with confidence the food is wonderful and well worth the short wait. Mrs. Elena always made me feel welcomed every time I stepped in. (Definitely try the iced raspberry latte)

We have come by this place a lot, but it closes early - we finally got to try the crepes! Delicious and affordable 👍
Li K — Google review
I ordered a nutella banana crepe, I was surprised that it had no bananas inside the crepe, only outside on the plate. The savory was kinda plain, only chicken and ceaser salad, not very filling. But the soul of the business is the owner, she was really nice and friendly.
Agatha C — Google review
If you enjoyed this review please give it a like. Elena's crepes is a quaint artsy fun spot located at the entrance of Oceansides artist alley. This is a decadent treat, I had the ham and cheese crepe and my Mother in law enjoyed her egg salad crepe. The crepes are delicate and light and scrumptious, almost sinful. Elana and her husband Hassan have been serving up scrumptious crepes in Oceanside for four years. Their artwork is proudly displayed on the walls. You owe it to yourself, treat yourself to a crepe, you deserve it.
Damon L — Google review
These crepes are amazing! The butter used is just the perfect touch. Didn't get to photo the ham & cheese, but that was a favorite of ours. Of course, I love nutella, reminded me our trip to France and Belgium. The owners are the best! Friendly and really have a passion for their crepes! We have wanted to try it for so long, so glad we made it in today. We'll definitely be back!

Kona Hut is a charming coffee shop located near Red & White Market, offering a variety of Hawaiian coffee, teas, fruit bowls, and baked goods. The cozy atmosphere features island-themed decor and multiple seating areas. Customers can enjoy creatively named drinks like Hang Ten and Wipe Out Mocha while savoring breakfast sandwiches and vegan options. The friendly staff provides excellent service, catering to individual preferences and dietary restrictions.
Quaint coffee shop with friendly staff and indoor + outdoor seating. Worked from here for a few hours on a Friday afternoon with a tasty matcha tea iced latte.

Such a cute coffee shop with an area to work and plug-in and wonderful coffees and light bites.

Great coffee shop with hot and cold options . Also offers a selection of baked goods. Decently priced in comparison to other commercialized coffee companies. Parking available behind the coffee shop and street parking available.

This is my favorite shop here in South O! Tammy and her team are just the sweetest; they make every customer feel welcome. The coffee is delicious, and cozy little shop has become a regular stop for my family and I every week.
Faith F — Google review
Such a cute little coffee shop with all the island vibes! The drinks have surfing names, like Hang Ten and Wipe Out Mocha. They even have a Wahine Latte! My lady and I ordered a Wahine Latte, a Ginger Turmeric Latte and 2 breakfast sandwiches, one on sourdough and the other on a large crossaint. The food and drinks were great! Will definitely be back. The staff was friendly and the service was fast.
Kristina D — Google review
Always a great time! Tammy and Ro make it a point to say hello to us and our son Harley. He even had his own special drink (kids cup with coconut milk and ice). They are aware of his food allergies and make it a point to be extra careful. It’s great having a small local shop that cares. See you there! Oh and the Hammerhead is my go to drink, with a splash of coconut syrup, just trust me, give it a try. 🤙

Stopped in for a quick coffee on a rainy day. The place is super rad. It's built out of an old house. All the rooms have been turned into cute sitting areas. I can see myself hanging out here with a coffee and a laptop for hours. We got a Hang Ten (chocolate, almond). It was pretty good, but not the best latte we've had. Also tried an acai smoothie. The acai flavor was there but it was really mind, like maybe they water it down. Needless to say that Swami's smoothies are better. All in all, it's a cool place, worth checking out. However, I'm not sure I'll be back.

Came here searching for a smoothie good smoothie and I left with a GREAT smoothie! The price was unbeatable especially for the amount of smoothie you get. Why go to Jamba juice when you can support a locally owned and operated business. Will be back again!

Every time I have been here I swear I will never go back. When I do I am reminded of how aweful it is. Totally disorganized. Place always looks like they are moving in or out. The most random menu ever. Bagels are never fresh tasting, and the staff seriously has half a brain. Talk about unskilled labor. Hey Mike the bagel dude... Veggie cream cheese doesn't mean half inch chunks of raw Bell pepper mixed into your regular cheese. This place blows. Look at this picture. Does that look appetizing? The egg is 3 times the size of the bagel so it's a complete mess.
Kamron — Google review
I was a little afraid to try Mikes bagels after reading the largely mixed reviews. I am super picky about cleanliness and chaos. I walked in, and immediately regretted my decision. He was so nice so I decided to give it a try. I got a jalapeño and cheese bagel with cream cheese (toasted). The owner seemed a little disheveled and unorganized, but no big deal. My bagel came out fast, hot, and tasted AMAZING!!! It was crispy on the outside from being toasted and so soft on the inside. Perfect balance. I will definitely be going back to support Mikes bagels more often❤️
Sarah R — Google review
Mike is incredibly kind and is obviously passionate about his food. This is a hole in the wall place I wish I would have found years ago, a little disorganized yes but it’s about the FOOD. The food is amazing! I asked for my husbands Reuben on a bagel instead of rye bread and Mike made it into a massive open faced sandwich on the bagels...SO good. Everything is made fresh, and right before you. He cuts the meat, cooks the egg etc. Also ask for Mike’s homemade hummus, it was incredible! If you’re looking to support a 100% LOCAL business and get some great food head to Mike’s. Thank you Mike!
Katy H — Google review
The bagels were good. I got the jalapeño cheddar one and it was delicious. Service was slow, as there was just the owner working. My son got the rainbow 🌈 bagel and he loved it! I would of given 5 stars if there was 2 people working.
Amber P — Google review
Mike was great. I couldn't decide so I asked him to make me a special breakfast. He made me an American Bagel breakfast sandwich that was fantastic. Mike was great and so were the other customers. It was my first time there and I plan to go back often. Personal friendly service and tasty food. Thanks!
Tom B — Google review
The be sun dried tomato bagel with veggie cream cheese was delicious! The pickle was very flavorful and fresh! The hot club sandwich was also very good. Mike delivers fantastic customer service and has great presentation of his food.
Renee R — Google review
I am surprised by the great reviews this place received. I don't care if you are part of a national chain or a local store, you still need to have pride in your product and consideration for cleanliness - it doesn't have to be top of the line, but clean and functional. Unfortunately, Mike's Bagels doesn't concern themselves with clean and functional, judging by the unused equipment in the corner, cabinet doors missing or falling off hinges and general lack of upkeep. The one display case that was functional had a sorry assortment of bagels - I am guessing not because of post-rush low inventory (I was there around 8:30 AM), but because they know that no one will buy the product. The bagels themselves were so pale looking and obviously under-baked. No sign of the "golden" crisp exterior that bagels are supposed to have. In fact, it looked as though the bagels themselves may have been purchased frozen elsewhere and thawed out in the display case. That must be why they use toaster ovens... to finish "baking" them! Again, not one to always choose a national chain, but if your going to sell bagels, then you need to know how to water-boil them and then bake to get their characteristic crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside goodness that differentiates a bagel from an ordinary roll. As if that wasn't bad enough, the coffee cups they use are either very old or cheaply made. Within minutes of pouring coffee into them, the seams along the side and bottom started weeping coffee, requiring you to transfer into another cup before you ended up with a lap full of java after the cup disintegrated. It really was a shame to see a business with obvious sub-par performance still in existence. I really like to support local shops, but can't justify doing so if the owners don't care. It was not a "rough day" - I can justify those. It was a very long term lack of care that resulted in the condition it is today.

Nestled in the heart of Seattle, Starbucks has become a beloved coffeehouse chain renowned for its signature roasts and light bites, all while providing a cozy atmosphere complete with WiFi. One particular location stands out for its warm and welcoming vibe, thanks to an exceptional team that truly makes every visit special. Regular patrons rave about the friendly staff who go above and beyond to create connections with customers, ensuring each drink is not only delicious but also served with a smile.
It’s a small location so maybe not the best place to work or meet with friends. BUT they’re very efficient and fast. One of the quickest Starbucks that I’ve been to. Also REALLY friendly. Especially, I think her name is Savannah. Always puts me in a better mood when she’s working the register. Always a clean store. Just small. But definitely worth a visit just for the cheerful faces.

I’ve been coming here regularly for over a year now. The friendliness of the team always gives me a great start to my day. They go out of their way to make connections with you and always make the drinks delicious! Not to mention, they’re quick. No other Starbucks does it like them!

This is my favorite Starbucks to be at. It's small but has a big heart, all the employees are so great here and make it feel so good to be here at this location. I want to give a shout out to (Gil) he is so awesome. I mostly come here because of Gil. Gil really turned a bad situation for me right around with his smile and the way he infects people with his love and joy. Thank you Starbucks for employing Gil here.

Alohana Acai Bowls & Coffee in Oceanside is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the delightful taste of acai. As an acai enthusiast, I can confidently say that their bowls are truly exceptional, boasting a perfect blend of flavor and texture. The owner, Chad, creates a warm atmosphere with his friendly demeanor and knowledgeable insights about new menu items.
Love this place!! They have great options at good prices, a variety of acai bowls, smoothies, coffees, lattes, and drinks. Plenty of seating and you can order ahead to beat the line. Although there usually isn’t a line, but definitely a highly popular spot. This is my go to spot when I need a quick fix to a workout recovery, a hangover, or even a headache. Connects to bother shops via an internal hallway which is a cool feature. Staff are always friendly and it’s nice to grab something and chill or go walk downtown Oceanside and soak up the views.

I absolutely love Alohana! I started going on a regular basis, every Wednesday, from January-April. I love the Oceanside, Vista, and the base location. The employees are always so nice. In Oceanside, everyone was so nice and my service dog was also given a treat. In Vista, they were so sweet and so patient with me when I didn't know what I wanted. The coffee, pitaya, and acai has been delicious. My favorite is the Lowers, but we also purchase Swamis, Seaside, and Rivi bowls. Delicious!
Ivy S — Google review
I discovered this place on my daily walk. They have a nice selection of acai bases; I picked the low sugar version and dragonflies with a variety of fruit. The bowl was delicious but I love going places where the staff is kind and you feel like staying... Magy helped me and she makes me want to come back. I highly recommend it. The place is also very clean!
Sujata S — Google review
Made ways to come check out this place. Saw they offered coffee online. They have Mexi mocha, and that caught our eye. Sunday afternoon, we decided to try somewhere new from our usual. Made line after 15 mins when we got to the counter young lady told us they had no expresso. We were quite disappointed as there was no sign or notice that they were completely out of coffee. I mentioned this to her and she said she had no time to put up a sign. Yet she was cleaning tables prior. Time wasted when we could just been told a main menu item was not available since the beginning. I understand keeping the environment clean is priority, but writing a piece of paper saying " No expresso atm" takes less than 2 minutes to post. Please respect people's time as that is also of equal value. ** Never coming back here again.

I absolutely love this place! My favorite açaí bowls since moving to San Diego. Staff is so friendly, bowls are packed with incredible flavors, and even when it’s busy they are made fast. Highly recommend!
Sean M — Google review
Right on the main stretch of N Coast Hwy and the acai they use in their bowls is SO SO good. Not like Nekter, which can be hit and miss on their acai blend ratio. Too much ice, too much milk, etc. Alohana has a pre blended, sorbet type, and they scoop it like ice cream for their bowls and it’s consistently the same, every time. Which I love, because it’s always EXACTLY the same as I expect it to be. No variations except toppings. And service is quite fast even when there is a line. Fruit is fresh, ripe and firm, no soggy berries here. Price is reasonable considering the proximity to touristy areas (the beach) and in comparison to franchise chains. The Swami and Upper are the go tos for my kids here. Delish. It’s a must stop kind of place while you’re here. Service is top notch, which is just icing. Looking forward to our next visit!
Jane G — Google review
This is hands down the best açaí I’ve ever had, and I consider myself an açaí connoisseur. Ever since I started jiu-jitsu over a decade ago, açaí has been my go-to superfood. It keeps me energized, fueled, and ready to roll. This place absolutely nails it. The bowls are unmatched in flavor, texture, and quality. Chad, the owner, is one of the friendliest people you’ll meet. He’s always giving me the scoop on new menu items, and his team is just as awesome—warm, welcoming, and super accommodating. If you go, you have to try “The Uppers.” It’s loaded with açaí, granola, Nutella, peanut butter, strawberries, bananas, and a delicious drizzle on top. Go big with the “Maverick” size. You won’t regret it. And if you’ve just finished a workout or training session, their protein blend açaí bowl is ultra creamy and gives you that perfect post-workout boost. I genuinely love this place! -Alex p.s. the crystal shop nextdoor is rad too!
