Daily Chiko is an absolute awesome. Their famous 8 layer ice cream is not just a treat for your taste buds, but also for the eyes. Each layer has its own unique flavour and texture, and somehow they all work together perfectly. From rich and creamy to light and refreshing, every bite keeps you excited for the next. The presentation is incredible, it’s tall, colorful, and makes you feel like you’re getting the ultimate indulgence. Portion size is generous, so it’s great for sharing (though honestly, you’ll want it all to yourself). On top of that, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Daily Chiko is definitely one of those spots that you’ll keep coming back to whenever you’re craving something fun, unique, and absolutely delicious.

Wasn’t brave enough to try the 8-flavor cone because I don’t think I can eat it all up, but I went for the smallest three-flavor cone and it was well worth it. Love the pistachio flavor and the strawberry as well. Will try other flavors next time I find myself in Nakano. There is a small seating and customers keep coming and going. Be forewarned, the ice cream gets heavier the more flavors you choose! XD

(Recorded on September 13, 2025) A shop famous for its gigantic soft-serve ice cream. You can choose between a cone or a cup—each with its own downside. The cone tends to tip over easily, while the cup makes your hand cold. Either way, the melting ice cream ends up dripping onto your hand 🤣

Decent ice cream in lots of great flavors. It was hard to find using map apps; it was in the basement on the same floor as the Seiyu grocery store. Cash only.

A fantastic find indeed. Took a carrot cake and a zucchini bread (kind of a banana cake). Very reasonable on sugar, if not low, yet high on pleasure. Enjoyed the kind welcome from the young man at the counter, and Mr Kyle himself came from the kitchen to say hello. Perfect start for a Nakano Broadway hunting afternoon.

I’ve had this place on my list for a while now and was finally able to get here. Kyle has been in business for around 35 years, and is still serving up delicious treats. I went in for the carrot cake, as that seems to be his most popular item. After talking to him for a bit, I also ended up getting a brownie as well. Both were fantastic, and he has no doubt created some of the tastiest desserts I’ve had in Tokyo. He’s also just a nice guy and I enjoyed chatting with him. This is a must if you want to have a taste of American sweets.

Can confirm Kyle's carrot cake is as good as everyone says, but my personal favourite has to be his brownies. They're perfectly gooey, with a nutty flourish that makes them not too sweet. Absolutely dangerous as I could probably eat a whole box of them in one go. I also had a slice of pecan pie which was also fantastic. Kyle himself is a good find, having lived in Japan for four decades, he had so much insight and wisdom to share about the area his shop calls home. I really enjoyed my interaction with him. Will definitely be back for more 🫡

My partner and I tried the banana bread, carrot cake and pecan pie. All three were out of this world! We're also from America and after talking to Kyle for a little we found out we have family around the same parts of America. It's so interesting to fly across the world and find something that reminds you of home.

I was so nervous to come here. I hope he didn’t think I was weird, but he was so nice and his carrot cake is amazing! I’m so happy to have finally met him ❤️ I can’t wait to come back just to try it again (and not be as nervous lol, he’s like a celebrity to me).

Kyle’s Good Finds is a bakery institution in Tokyo. This small shop has a variety of baked good from cheese cakes, brownies, apple pie, and carrot cake. It’s worth the trip to Nakano Station and the short walk. Mr. Kyle is personable and it is easy to tell why he has been in business for so long. Highly recommended.

The flavors were good. Tried the chocolate which was like dessert (but maybe not for people who want to avoid sweet flavors), the cream cheese was really cream cheese (for cheese lovers), and I would recommend the red bean which is my first choice among the three I’ve tried.

When visiting the Nakano Station area you’re probably there to soak in the otaku culture at Nakano Broadway. Before you enter the Sun Mall you’ll want to get in line for some delicious Obanyaki (stuffed Japanese pancake). We helped ourselves to a red bean paste and a custard cream. They were very much worth the short wait. Fresh, still warm and jammed packed with yummy goodness all for just ¥160 each.

Amazing little shop that makes freshly made Imagawayaki (crispy circular waffle/pancake filled with various fillings). Pastry cream is my favourite, but I would happily have everything on the menu. Really good price for really delicious little desserts!

The imagawayaki (taiyaki?) was great. not so much about the filling but more about the batter used that makes them chewy and light. Had the red bean which was not so sweet and the cream cheese which was quite typical artificial cheese flavour. Would come again for that batter.

I got the raw cheesecake, strawberry chiffon cake, and chocolate chestnut cake. The raw cheesecake is very yummy and not overwhelming. Chocolate cake has very strong dark chocolate flavor which i love. Strawberry cake was so so. The average price per piece is around 300-500yen. This place is CASH ONLY.

The worst SAVAGE customer service ever! These staffs said that:” we’ll give you a piece of paper to cover that cheesecake for takeout!” I got so shocked by their Savage Behaviors! I rejected them n mentioned:”I need a small box”! She repeat herself again by wrapping that cake with paper🤣 I’m wonder where should I put “that special paper wrapped cheese cake”, apparently not in my handbag! I pointed out a small cakebox n confirmed it again: I need that! Meanwhile, CASH ONLY in that cake store, central Tokyo! Actually I did order a piece of cheesecake and coffee for sitting-in, but they stop servicing customers on 5:30pm, takeout only! I came on 5:25pm, they close on 7:30pm according to Google! It’s recommended by a local tour guide, eventually a tourist trap cake shop!

Their coffee is pretty good. As for the cheesecake, it has a really strong diary flavour (only for hardcore cheesecake lovers) to it, and the consistency is a little similar to that of gelato - thick and rich. The dining space on the second level only has a few tables and there is usually a queue, but it moves relatively quickly because most do takeaways.

A cute little place with lots of history and a wide array of cakes that are absolutely delicious. Love the retro sophisticated ambiance, so it’s totally worth queuing a bit. The good bit is that most people take cakes to go, so there’s a higher possibility of finding a place to sit and properly enjoy the cakes.

[Little to no English] This store has wonderful history and a very cute, European design. Everything highlights the craft of pastries! The workers are very knowledgeable and quick to work; usually there is a line for take-out. I had the cream puffs and a slice of cheesecake. The prices were nominally higher than other pastry shops in the area. Price was certainly high for the size of pastry. The cream puffs are impressively STUFFED! They’re quite decadent and the flavor of the crème is strong, much stronger than most. It was heavy which I usually would like but made the cream puff altogether a bit much. The cheesecake in comparison was so light, it felt and tasted like not much at all. The level of craftsmanship is there, but it may not be a store I fight to get back to.

Authentic cake and pastry shop. The sign and door are so cute and retro. You can tell it's been loved by everyone for decades. Even when I came on a weekday there was a line outside. I've never seen this place not have a line! I get why it's so tasty with a reasonable price. The cheesecake is their staple. It's tiny but super rich and creamy. We also got a chocolate and chestnut cake. Definitely coming back, next time to try their cafe upstairs!!

Heard about this place quite a while ago and thought I should try it out personally. It's a very warm, cozy store and the cheese cakes look great. I didn't suspect too much and ordered two pieces, one original and one with sour cream and only to find out that the cakes were really tiny. The cake tastes good but I can't think of anything too special to say about it. It was really small.

cheesecake was very rich and creamy. we tried the mellow, sour soft and natural. personally i loved the sour soft. can't tell difference between the other 2 but overall all were yummy. too bad they can’t accommodate to have guest to sit in the shop. we took it outside and ate by the canal.

very tasty cheesecakes! they only sell cheese cake at this place. have four types of them to choose from: original, lemon, blueberry and mild. especially loved the white one (i believe it was lemon cheese cake?) they only do takeaways. wished they have some seating here.

The cheese cakes were amazing! The cheese was so rich and balanced well with the crust. Both original and blueberry ones that we tried are delicious. There's no seat available inside the shop. Take-home only.

Absolutely delicious and so accommodating for gluten free diners! A bit of a walk from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya's main tourist attractions, but you're rewarded with a quiet, quality dining experience. The gluten free pancakes were to die for!

Bad service and poor poor poor quality food! Yesterday I was at Elle Cafe with 2 other friends, one of which was there before. I arrived a bit early and decided to order a glass of sparkling wine and truffle fries. I was asked by the waiter to first go and order at the cash counter, which I did (find it odd that he wouldn’t take the order at the table) At cash counter I was asked to pay in advance, which I did. When my friends arrived the waiter come and toke the order AT THE TABLE. Fiends were not asked to pay in advance. All cool...Fires arrived (very oily) and salads arrived and you don’t want to know how tasteless they were, and PACKED IN PLASTC TAKE AWAY BOXES. Really? For such a place this is unacceptable and will never go back. Menu poor, service poorer and food TASTELESS.

Fashionable and distinguished place in the middle of Aoyama. Very conscious about health and special diets as many tasty vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are available. Definitely recommended if you are looking for some healthy French cuisine in Tokyo.

Exquisite food , high quality coffee, and excellent service, beautiful premises. Very happy with the vegan salad I order, my friends ordered a mushroom soup and is the bet I ever tried by far. Highly recommended.

Food is much better than you'd expect, and the all-you-can-drink option is a pretty good deal. Nice sized tables, lots of games to borrow, and the staff is happy to explain a game (provided you are able to understand Japanese, of course). Quite small so be sure to reserve in advance if you want to go with a group.

Super cosy omurice/board game place. They have a few selected craft beers too if that's your thing. Staff is very welcoming and polite. Instant classic, I will most definitely come back.

Best kakigori ever. The ice is so light and fluffy and the fruit compotes were luscious and refreshing. I had the American cherry and Plum on separate occasions. Staff were patient even though I spoke no Japanese. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews about the service. They were perfectly fine IMO.

I have been here several times. The last time it was especially good. The service was good and the waiting time was not too long. Kakigori is tasty but pretty expensive.

not sure about the low rating, my white corn shaved ice is excellent, pairs well with the soy sauce base that brings out a great umami, will return for other flavours

Not sure what is up with the low reviews, this is one of my favorite kakigori in Tokyo. I like how every flavor comes in one of four styles - milk, mascarpone, sake kasu or nomi. Each syrup is made from real fruit, service is fast, and tons of daily specials. The new location has many more seats, they even take online resys. 15 stars.

Super unfriendly staff. We were told to park our bicycles at some far away park instead of the free space in front of the shop. After coming back we were rudely told to go outside and read the menu there, as we spend more than 20 seconds deciding what we should order. They don't seem to be interested in serving customers. It has been some years that I experienced such clumsy customer treatment. Just get some other shaved ice nearby.

Nice cheesecakes in a selection of flavours. The older woman behind the counter (presumably the owner), spoke good English and was able to tell us what each of the flavours were. They do a 800 yen set, which is a slice of cake and cup of coffee.

Horrible shop owner. The place was completely empty. ZERO customers. Our group of 4 had just had lunch and were looking to have some coffee and dessert. We wanted to split a cheesecake, soufflé, drink set and a few other items but the shop owner claimed that they are famous and busy so unless everyone ordered their own separate sets he’d be giving up seats for potential customers. What a complete clown. We up and left. I had stated prior to entering that it being completely empty is a telltale indicator that the place was piss poor. I must be psychic.

The emperor has no clothes here. The cheesecake is so horrible and boring, can't even finish 1/3rd of the small size. The top "burnt" part completely lacking any caramelized flavor that is supposed to be present in this type of cake. Then the white part doesn't even taste like cheese. It is just a paste of who knows what and that can be worrisome. In general Japanese people do not bake cakes at home. That's why they can be easily duped into believing that a cake is good just by having a creamy texture. They don't know from childhood on how the cakes are supposed to taste. But for westerners who grow up with the entire family baking all kind of cheesecakes, with real cheese inside, it is obvious that this product here is a failed simulation and price-wise a total ripoff. The serving staff is okay but you should definitely spare a visit here, spend this money to eat something healthy and not a bland fatty paste. Was considering buying a large one to give as a gift but very glad that we tried the small one and stopped at that.

Absolutely delicious! One small one can probably be shared between 2 people if you already have had dinner. Bought this from their time at the pop-up store in the train station. Packaging is solid and tasteful, cheesecake was fluffy, creamy but not too overpowering, exactly what you'd expect from a good basque cheesecake. Thank you for all the effort you put into this! A lovely little bakery that sells only Basque cheese cake which comes in 2 sizes, namely small for one 1 - 2 people and big for 3 - 4 people. I got the small one for 750 yen. It came with an iced package. The staff was very polite and kind. The café has a restroom customer can use. Unfortunately, they are currently not open for seating, even though they have tables available. This was a pity as I really wanted to take a seat to enjoy the cake after walking up the hill from Ebisu station specifically to visit this café. Anyway, I appreciate the staff's considerate gesture and love the easy-to-eat cheesecake they have. It's less sweet than typical ones and light enough for one to eat a piece alone in one go. It's not the cheesiest basque cheese cake you will find though.

They only have 1 item in the menu: basque burnt cheesecake. They offer a single piece or in pound. I got two small ones to eat at home. (750 yen each) When you entered the shop, you will get tea as a complimentary drink. The smell was nice and you should taste the ginger in the tea. Very refreshing after you walk the in cold for a while. Once I got home, I noticed they provided the ice pack for you. The cheesecake is very smooth, soft and tender. It melted in your mouth. The taste is not that strong compared to the one i like but the texture is definitely one of the best I’ve tried.

Bought the one portion cheesecake to take out as turned up too late to eat in. Great service with complimentary tea taster as I ordered. Portion size perfect for one but definitely left me wanting more! Deliciously creamy but was expecting a little more of the crispy sourness of the top, but you probably get that more with the larger cheesecake. Would definitely recommend, wasn’t the absolute be-all and end-all of cheesecakes but was delicious!

You have two sizes to choose from: a small, individual option and the whole cake option. I went with the small one, which was 750 yen. I enjoyed the cake quite a bit, I just wanted it to be a little creamier. You can eat in or take out. The staff was great.

there’s nice visual cafe shop. every time I go to this cafe new found. every menu was taste so good. my favourite is “ corned beef sandwich ”. it so meaty! and that is worth the priceand. there’s “black cafe “ is nice for me and it offered to big and thick cups. I feel to maker’s nice conscious from some sweet. those are nice too.

Good atmosphere, excellent service, the meatball sub with black bean chili sauce was great. I also had the carrot cake which was decent, but nothing to write home about. It did, however, get me interested in trying lots of other baked goods here though. I liked the cafe latte, but I don't really know much about what makes good vs bad coffee. Anyway, if you're looking for a place with good food, coffee, and want to study this place is great.

This was by far the restaurant highlight of our trip to Tokyo. Granted, it was a bit of flavor from home (We live in NY). But that's not what did it for us. First off, the people who own and work the restaurant are wonderful - welcoming, friendly, genuine. The decor and design give it a NY feel, but they made it their own. There are both tables and counter seating available. Very comfortable. The recipes, cooking/baking, and the service are first-rate. The menu is nicely varied. Meatball and pasta dishes, meatball subs, rueben, pulled pork, salads, a similar fare. The grilled cheese is like nothing on Earth, featuring well caramelized onions mixed in. The cheese tastes like pure NY cheddar! The pulled pork is tender, cooked perfectly, and served on a very nice roll. My favorite beverage - lemon soda made to order in the restaurant. Baked goods. OMG. This woman makes science out of baking. I had a slice of pumpkin pie (made from scratch, not canned) that was the best I ever had. If you're in the Koenji, Asagaya, North Nokano areas it is well worth a trip. You'll feel welcome, and you'll enjoy some American favorites with a new dimension - the special care and effort that are so wonderfully Japanese

I took a sub chili and she took a sub classic with meat balls, it was pretty good, I was very pleased to finally eat some chilli in Japan that is not so commun. We also had some nostalgia red wine and as a French man i can say it was pretty good and well balance, sante ! cheer's !

I don’t understand the complaints about the service in other reviews, i thought it was ok. However i was obligated to order one drink which i cannot stand. The carrot cake was also sold out which bummed me. I ordered a berry cheesecake which was fine but i think too pricy (1000¥ with very little ice-cream) and the limonade was too watery.

Ive been trying to go back to his place for months. Every time I go there its closed. (On Mondays) but I finally was able to eat the Elvis sandwich. This should’ve never been as good as it was. Banana, bacon, peanut butter On French toast. Amazing!!!

The Japanese have amazing attention to detail. Beautifully presented dishes. Taste is good, not outstanding. Fun decor and you can play games at your table. Our game was difficult and we couldn't figure it out and before we knew it, the game was over!

The retro atmosphere is so creative, fun, and unique. Food was cute and simple. I loved the float sodas and pancake! Matcha latte was frothy but lacked some flavor. The burger was delicious but it would have been better if it came with small sides or fries. All in all it was a fun experience!

Finally came to the Zingaro cafe after a random visit to Nakano. It has become a favorite of mine. The Takashi Murakami flower art is great and the cafe concept gives it a great atmosphere. The food was also delicious. Its a small menu, but the salmon sandwich was great and the dessert options seem delicious. I tried the banana and blueberry muffin and the pumpkin muffin. Besides looking amazingly artistic they were probably the most delicious muffins I've had in Japan. The cookies on the muffin were also soft and delicious. I definitely want to come back and try their other menu options.

Went here on a weekday. Such a lovely cafe. Loved the retro & colorful vibe. The food & drink menu were so cute. It was a bit confusing what to do upon arrival. We stood there a bit before a staff told us that there's a machine where you can register for the queue but a table was free so they told us to take a seat. After taking a seat. We then ordered & paid at the cashier area. I ordered an Iced Cafe Latte with Dark Roast (Regular Size) & a Pumpkin Muffin. All the food we ordered were so cute. It was delicious too. I especially loved the Pumpkin Muffin. We really had a great time. We will definitely be back.

They kept asking me to move multiple times just to make room for new customers. It was really uncomfortable and rude which made hard to relax or enjoy the experience. Very poor management and no consideration for existing customers.
