July 23 Around Tokyo station and Daimaru this place makes one of the very best green tea parfait On weekday afternoon tea , there were 4 groups in the queue. The green tea parfait comes in a variety but I prefer the one with shiratama ) 白玉 which is a white colour ball made from rice flour very very chewy. Dessert : 6 stars Service : 2.5 ( staff look tired and not welcoming ) Location 5 star

This matcha dessert was recommended by a friend. I really love matcha and warabimochi, so I was excited to try it. The parfaits were just okay, there were more toppings and extras than actual matcha ice cream. The warabimochi, on the other hand, was really good. Overall, I was a little disappointed with both the item and the price. I feel like I could get something a bit better for about the same price back in Canada. It was a bit of a letdown, especially since I expected the matcha in Japan to be the best.

Ordered the uji float and a vanilla ice cream scoop. Both had lovely, smooth flavors. But didn’t quite have any wow factor. There was a queue but we were seated within ten minutes. Staff are kind. Would consider coming back if in the area.

I had such a lovely time here! I ordered the Matcha Yuzu Soda, and it was incredibly refreshing—the perfect balance of earthy matcha and citrusy yuzu, making it both light and energizing. 🍃🍋 For dessert, I tried the Houjicha Parfait. The houjicha jelly had just the right amount of sweetness, not overpowering at all. I also upgraded the vanilla ice cream to matcha ice cream for only +¥100, and it was absolutely worth it—the rich matcha flavor.

I was seated within five minutes during lunch time on a weekday. The Iced Matcha Soda (¥1188) was very refreshing, and I like that it was sugar-free.

I wish the parfait has more matcha components however the flavour profile is quite balanced. So I just order the additional matcha ice cream. The more the merrier. So glad that they have this store in Tokyo outside of Kyoto.

The canned soup is good for a gift for who don’t like sweets so much. Recently they don’t sell the gift box with cans, however you ‘re still able to shop it online.

Extremely disappointed that they have changed their service structure and offering, now that they have moved into the main wing. Whilst it is presumably (or at least I hope) temporary, they have significantly less bakery on offer, and everything is now take away only. Poor choice by management. I have been coming to gargantua even before their last fit out which was an excellent upgrade on all counts. This is a big backward step for the hotel.

Amazing clementine cake, possibly the best cake I had in Japan. The strawberry shortcake was not as good but the clementine more than made up for it. Hotel guests get a 5% discount which I thought was pretty neat.

Found their white warabi mochi on a magazine last month, I decided to go here because it's near my office. It tastes as you imagine. I remember I had a similar sweet treat in somewhere in the south hemisphere, Fiji? Considered the limited sales channel, we can buy only at the shop, no online shop, this white warabi mochi could be the best Tokyo temiyage (gift) to your loved ones. I would buy them again.

Tasty blueberry pies worth a try if you happen to be nearby

The best ham and cheese bar none. This bread was drizzled with a generous serving of cheese. The melted cheese overflowed that it formed a crust underneath the bread. The crust was crispy and the inside of this bread is soft.

Loved everything there! From the interior to its products to its friendly and elegant staff. It's a great souvenir and gourmet shop within the Imperial Hotel.

The decor was amazing and we were so impressed with the attention to detail for everything from service to design. The tea they offer were also great. We also love some of the dessert they offer. The food was not that special I. It’s say. However, it was a nice experience and we enjoyed it. Note that you are only allowed to take photos of the dishes on your table and not the atmosphere. Guess you will have to go see to enjoy it yourself. Highly recommend if you want to see some amazing decor.

HIGASHIYA in Ginza is a place where you truly feel harmony. Every detail is filled with a sense of aesthetics, from the interior to the presentation. The wagashi look like little works of art, capturing the seasons and the breath of nature. The atmosphere is calm, almost meditative, which makes it easy to savor every flavor. I loved how tradition and modernity blend here so naturally and subtly. It’s more than just a confectionery—it’s a unique experience that stays with you.

Amazing! We wanted to find a true Japanese tea experience before our departure tomorrow. Fantastic choices of matcha (I'll add other pictures shortly), tasty small bites (the citrus and persimmon ones were my favrites). Service beyond anything we have been used to, extremely informative and detailed. Plus.. the reason why I'm posting pictures of the interior is that it's so incredibly beautiful. All those furniture pieces... jaw dropping. I'm normally not posting any bathroom pictures but also that private room... amazing. 10/10. A must go and must see.

A hidden gem among the bustling streets of Ginza. Higashiya Ginza is a meditative experience. I felt relaxed, welcomed, nurtured and energized through the sacred art of tea. The masterful execution is evident in the distinct flavor of matcha. It wasn't as bitter as the ceremonial quality I've tasted before. The matcha is grown in Kyoto and it was subtle, smooth and refreshing. The selection of sweets was divine, each bite of wagashi paired perfectly. Attentive staff were present and not rushed. It was an elegant experience that one can only appreciate in Japan. Sorry you hipster cities but execution in Japan is on another level, the service is unmatched. If you're in the Ginza area you definitely want to stop by. Reservations are encouraged but we were able to get a table as walk-ins. There's also a gift shop to purchase a selection of teas and sweets.

Phenomenal place to have set menus and pairings for tea and traditional Japanese confectionery. Beautiful interior and impeccable vibes.

We came to Yelo after visiting Tokyo Tower. It was the closest place we found that had shaved ice. It was a hot day so shaved ice sounded nice. Everyone has to order something, which is okay. There were 6 shaved ice options to choose from with multiple topping options. We got the matcha, lavender, and tiramisu options. All were very good. The only odd thing was the little bit of red beans. Seems odd to have a little scoop of it at the top only.

I came here for the shaved ice. Food: 4/5 - they had a limited selection of shaved ice, I opted for the matcha green tea. It was tasty and not too sweet. Also had the chili hot dog. If you like the American Japa hot dog, you’ll like this as it was served on a baguette with a pork sausage. I felt the prices were on the high side such as Coke at 750 yen Service: 4/5 - server was friendly. If there are two in a party, they require each customer to order something. It was a bit of a challenge looking for the entrance. Atmosphere: 4/5 a small place

My wife and I first came here in 2017 on a fluke after eating in Roppongi and returning in 2024 it very much lived up to the memories. It's a tiny little place with a great vibe late at night. The kakigori here isn't budget but it is well worth the price. Flavourful with that fluffy evaporate in your mouth texture. Each person has to order their own, which will seem insane, but it is mostly shaved ice, so while you should come with an appetite, it is also shaved ice and you'll be fine. Service both times was fast and courteous. Look forward to coming back next time we are in Tokyo!

The flavor is excellent, and while the space is small, it's still comfortable. However, having customers wait outside in extreme heat is not ideal. Consider an alternative arrangement to keep customers cool while they wait. I'm still going to return from Austin, TX.

The shaved ice is really good and a huge portion. However, the prices were exhorbitant (almost $40 for 2 shaved ice and a coke) and the service terrible even though we were the only ones in there. It might be one of those places that doesn't really like and takes advantage of tourists. They do not allow sharing and everyone must order something.

Very disappointing. We had many great dining experiences across Japan but unfortunately this was not one of them. After a great dinner elsewhere, my son was thinking of having something sweet. This was when our luck had run out. We came here to try their kakigori after seeing many great reviews. Sadly, their "shaved ice" was mediocre and way overpriced. On top, there was an "after 10pm" late night surcharge of ¥200 per person. And on top of that, no sharing was allowed. So, I ended up paying an additional ¥750 for the privilege of sipping what could possibly be the worst cafe latte in Tokyo. It was at this point we realised why we were the only two customers in the cafe. Oh well, shaved ice plus coffee ¥2,650, the rare lousy dining experience in Tokyo priceless!

I had the rum tiramisu shaved ice and was quite satisfied with the overall taste. They have a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic flavors, and the shaved ice quality itself is very good. They also have other snacks like hotdogs and coffee, but you come here for the shaved ice. It is a small, cozy atmosphere, so they do require everyone to order something. Overall, this is a nice place to grab yourself some shaved ice.

Loved our breakfast here. The pancakes are delicious and fluffy. We ordered a few different ones, sweet and savory. They were all good. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Great breakfast place if you’re nearby in Tokyo.

My last meal to wrap up my solo trip to Japan and what a great meal to end it with! I got the Blueberry Lemon Pistachio pancakes and was not disappointed! I love the blueberry lemon combo! It was not overly sweet and being a texture person, the pancakes were very satisfying to eat. Just a heads up, it will take about 20 minutes for your food to be prepared because they make it to order. Definitely worth the wait though :)

The shop is small and intimate so given the hype, a lot of locals and mostly tourists want to try this place. Make sure to arrive early. My friend and I went there 30 minutes before they open so we were the first one in the line. The selection of pancakes is superb, from fruits to nuts and different syrups. They also serve other dishes and my favourite is what they called Aged Bacon and Salad with fluffy pancakes on the side.

I was really excited to try soufflé pancakes for the first time during our recent trip to Japan. They were good, but not mind-blowing. That said, the presentation was premium and visually impressive. The service was excellent, though the restaurant itself felt a bit cramped. The wait was reasonable for a morning visit. Overall, I still recommend the experience if you’re curious to try these famous fluffy pancakes.

Flipper’s was amazing! The pancakes were so tasty and the staff really kind. It took around 20-30 months for the food to arrive after we ordered but the quality definitely worths the wait. The soy latte was also really good :)

Food is great; very fun experience if you want to try fluffy Japanese pancakes, and the toppings work really well. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating, though there is limited seating available and you will likely need to wait outside for room to open up. The prices are a little on the high side.

We had the Eggs Benedict and Aged Bacon Soufflé Pancake. Both are very good and yummy! The side salad is okay but overall the pancakes are yummy and the quality of the bacon is perfect. We would love to be back to try the sweet options.

We queued for about 50 minutes, so naturally, I was expecting the food to be mind-blowingly good—something truly worth the wait. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The overall experience felt a bit average, like something you could easily get at other Western-style cafés. Their signature dishes were decent, but nothing particularly amazing or memorable. The chicken karaage, however, was a standout—crispy, juicy, and flavorful—definitely something the Japanese do exceptionally well. The cacao drink was a bit too sour for my taste, and the dark rum coffee had only a very mild coffee flavor, which was underwhelming. The pudding is also average, and the brown sugar tastes a bit bitter... In summary, it’s a nice café, but only if there’s little to no queue. Otherwise, it feels like a bit of a letdown and not really worth such a long wait.

This place is a bit confusing. It's hard to order pastries and then sit down and eat them. The ordering counter for meals (burgers, sandwiches) is at a different place than the ordering counter for pastries, but we wanted to eat pastries in the restaurant. It feels like decisions need to be made very quickly and there's little explanation of how that should happen properly. It's almost just 2 shops in the same building, where the pastry counter has no menu and you just have to take pictures of what's available if you need time to think. I think we waited about a half hour to order (which was reasonable). The pastries were pretty good/okay. I don't think there's enough butter in all of Japan to actually rival French pastries, so that should not be your bar if you're going here. We tried several different pastries and the best were the financiers and the sausage dog imo. That said, the cafe latte and the brown sugar dessert option were freaking phenomenal. I would definitely go back for those, but not really anything else. The burger was juicy, but mostly drowned in ketchup and too sweet.

May 2025: Visiting from the United States and stayed at the Grand Hyatt nearby. Workers are very friendly. Found this bakery that had amazing coffee and baked goods nearby. Coffee was fabulous with wonderful tasting notes 🎶. I normally add oat milk instead of cream. The restaurant had oat milk as an upgradeable option.👍 My favorite baked goods were the bread 🍞 and the raisin roll. Also tried the avocado 🥑 toast. Stayed at the hotel for six nights and this place was my go-to for coffee and breakfast. Probably stopped by for coffee, pastries and/or bread six different times. On the last day of my vacation, I tried a "pain perdu" which was so delicious. Reminds me of a french toast... And I looked up the name and it's literally french toast 😀. Aside from the delicious bread, this is my new favorite! Will definitely come back again when I am in Tokyo again!

One of the most popular bakery shop in the area, lots of people were queuing pf a seat. For take out, no need to wait. I waited for 20mins for a seat, then ordered. This is my third time here, every menu was delicious, especially the bakery. Coffee is ok. Salad and bread are the best

Came on a Saturday morning around 11:00 am. There was already a line and the staff said it would be around a 20 minute wait for a party of 2. It ended up taking closer to 30. You order from the register and there’s separate ones for the bakery side and food. We ordered the jerk chicken bagel and the eggs Benedict toast. The toast was delicious, and the bagel was also solid. A little pricey but it’s a nice ambiance and good location if you’re around Roppongi hills. Also got a sourdough to go, which was delicious.

The service attitude is bad: the ordering flow was so strange, you have to walk against the flow to check the pastry section after taking the number in another entry. After waiting a while to get a table, I have to walk back to make the order AND the clerk asked me serval times if I have a seat to dine in. I showed her my number ticket and told her I already have one table, then she seemed not believing me and asked me to point out where exactly my seat was. I was traveling solo, how can I put my purse in the outside table and walk back inside to make the order?! Of course I have to carry my purse around, and that does not mean that I don’t have a seat, especially I already told her many times that I already have one seat! Back to the croissant: just average. Crispy but not airy. The dark rum latte is good.

I stayed at The Westin Tokyo as a Titanium member and was upgraded to a suite, which made the stay feel very special. For a Tokyo hotel, the suite was spacious and beautifully designed, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The only downside was that the room didn’t offer much of a view. The staff were excellent — warm, attentive, and professional from start to finish. The bell desk team and the executive lounge staff in particular went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The executive lounge was another highlight, with great food, a wide selection of drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the combination of a comfortable suite, outstanding staff, and a fantastic lounge made this a truly memorable stay. I would gladly return on my next trip to Tokyo.

I had an amazing stay here and it's clear why it's a 5 star hotel. Staff was very friendly, room was spacious and the lounge had delicious food. The concierge staff were exceptional. They gave us attraction suggestions, train directions, and maps for different areas. Buffet breakfast in the lounge was great and I enjoyed the evening cocktail drink and food selections. Highly recommend this hotel!

A bit dated but well kept hotel oozing of old timer charms. Deco are old school but very well made. None of those cold black and white theme of modern hotel, everywhere is marble wood and copper. Location is quite far from city center but closeby a charming town of Ebisu that’s more of high end and youthful residential areas, and a big park. Rooms are HUGE by Japanese standards and offer great view of the city and Tokyo town from afar. Facilities are clean and even with a gym (rarity in Tokyo).

Absolutely stunning hotel. Walking into the Lobby is a sign that good things are to come. Wonderful attentive service. Spotless. You can see your reflection in the marble everywhere. The staff here care!! Rooms are silent. Didn't hear a sound. Beds are a dream. Bathroom was an oasis. I'm a tall guy and I can get fully soaked in a wonderful tub. Amazing shower!! Had a pint n snack at " the bar " wonderful staff. Great location close to a Metro line. And a Nice park like square across the street.

Not suitable to be called a 5 star, poor quality, rooms need renovation, staff are friendly as if they were made, not sincere in giving smiles, food at breakfast is also cold, staff who serve at breakfast also play with cellphones. This is suitable to be called a 2 star hotel. The price I paid does not match the service provided.

Definitely suggest the multi-grain and the salted black sesame. Those two together we're a great combo. If you like black sesame try the Rich as well! They have a sampler of all the flavors, but didn't realize until after we ordered. Haha. Would definitely come back.

Rich and yet still balanced (yes even with the triple rich). Some seats inside for quick eating, but too bad they don’t serve iced water. Would not recommend the cheesecake. Get the black and white sesame ice cream as each has its distinct flavour and both are good.

GOMAYA KUKI is an adorable hidden spot and only serve 2 flavors with 3 thickness of sesame levels. Their ice cream was amazingly delicious, creamy and even better with sesame oil and seeds. It’s definitely a must visit place if you are a fan of sesame.

Bought the triple sesame and it wasn't dense as I expected. I had more dense sesame ice cream else where. The only redemption is their sesame oil which has a good fragrance and together with the seeds to give a good crunch. That's my opinion but recommend you to give it a try.

Exquisite mouthwatering rich black sesame ice-cream in omotesando. Minimum serving of 2 scoops for yen500. I choose the normal and triple rich sesame plus a black sesame latte. As recommended i added freshly roasted sesame seeds and a little sesame oil to the ice cream scoops. The explosion of sesame taste in the mouth was unforgettable. I shall be back for more.

Ordered the Triple Rich Black & White Sesame ice cream and added some sesame seeds and sesame oil on top, and it worth every cent! My favorite ice cream beside the famous Cremia.

One of THE BEST black sesame dessert I have ever tried. The grinding of the black sesame was so fine. That as the ice cream melts in your mouth, it feels so smooth. Different levels of choices to choose from if you don’t want the taste to be really strong! Take a break from shopping and just enjoy the ice cream and serenity in the shop.

Finally made the trip from central Tokyo. Beautiful setting, tucked away from the bustle of Tokyo. Staff seemed distracted (upon arrival, during service, and upon paying the bill). Breakfast and tea were tasty and portions felt appropriate. Unfortunately no one seemed passionate about their job and the element of omotenashi I’ve grown to love and anticipate was definitely missing. I’d return with a friend for a different meal service and season, but perhaps not again solo given this experience and the effort made on a rainy morning to arrive there.

Had a truly unforgettable experience doing the tea ceremony at Yakumo Saryo. Saki was beyond sweet and professional. She went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and was an amazing host. The best tea and matcha I have ever tasted. Will definitely be back!

Never had tea like this tea. A beautiful compound, mid century but classic, felt timeless. We sat alone at a kind of bar for lunch (for most of the time we had the room to ourselves). The first green tea — gyokuro — was pure umami. Served through four steeepings. First two in a thimbleful. Intense, but not in the usual way one would think of intense tea - light but almost electric on the tongue with a very long finish. Third time a cherry leaf was added, last time iced, stirred, like a cocktail, neat. Food also great, moist morsel of saury, rice balls with sea bream, some very nice sake, the wagashi, but this tea, the matcha and hojicha that followed, were the stars. Extremely attentive service, as one might expect (some English but not much, which was sort of reassuring). Beautiful serving pieces and decor - see especially the antique tukkuri. Ethereal.

From the moment you walk up the steps to the entrance of this restaurant you’re immediately transported into a world where simplicity meets elegance and modernity. We came here for traditional Japanese breakfast and tea pairings. The food here is simple yet contemporary, complementing the architecture and decor of the restaurant. Once we were done with our breakfast we were taken to the most beautiful space for some green tea and traditional Japanese pastries. You won’t find this place in most guidebooks, but this is a hidden gem where you can take a break and find peace in one of the world’s busiest cities.

Great food great service, everything’s displayed in a very Japanese way, calm and zen. Showcased their specialty in Japanese tea and wagashi. With English menu. Nice view, very quiet area. Only disadvantage is that they are quite over priced.

Best Japanese breakfast in the city. The whole shop is very Zen, with excellent architecture and a exquisitely maintained Japanese garden. Great place to spend a relaxing morning, contemplating life over delicious food and fragrant teas. Advanced reservations are required. I don't think they accept walk-ins.

Very special Japanese tea ceremony experience, the green tea has a lot of umami and tastes like soup. The wagashi is so good and complements the tea really well.

Went on a weekday shortly after opening. There was a line. It moved along not too slowly. The staff person was friendly. Order and pay at the counter, first. I got strawberry milk. It arrived quickly. It was the consistency of regular shaved ice. The topping was sufficient. Paid in cash.

Tokyo is raining due to Shanshan Typhoon, but this place is still full of people enjoying Kakigori. It is that delicious.

*Note I did not go to the store, I had their kakigori at the 2017 Tokyo Ramen Show.* Good, fluffy kakigori. I love how they layer the flavors so that you never have a bite of just plain ice. Perfect balance of sweetness.

The shop I have wanted to visit for years has various crushed ice desserts not only typical flavors but also seasonal yet innovative products. I had a summer orange and yogurt-flavored one. It was so delicious and sensational. The operation is well organized. Dog-friendly place. It is always packed, recommend booking a table.

The first time I went it was too crowded and I gave up, but the second time was on a rainy day in early fall and there was no line. However the table was a little grimy feeling and the waitress was cold and wouldn't answer our questions about the menu unless we went up to the register (where you have to order). When she delivered the shaved ice I immediately noticed a tiny fly crawling on it....but I ate it anyway after removing the bug. The shaved ice is undeniably good. But I don't really want to go again. There are nicer places.

I went on a day that was 60 F outside but the store was still packed with people (no crazy lines though at least!). I got the seasonal pumpkin cream caramel shaved ice and it was super delicious!!!! The thing is HUGE! Be sure to also check their “ura menu” (today’s special) that has some odd stuff that may be fun to try... like the cream corn shaved ice that my friend got.

The Strings by Intercontinental Hotel in Shinagawa offers a fantastic location with excellent connectivity to Haneda Airport and Tokyo Station. Its central positioning makes it a convenient choice for travelers, and the spacious rooms add to the comfort of the stay. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. The air conditioning was not particularly effective, requiring me to request a fan in the middle of the night. Additionally, during summer, only two small water bottles (500ml each) were provided daily, which was insufficient. I had to request extra bottles every night—something that could easily be addressed with a more generous allocation. On the positive side, the view from room 3135 was stunning, offering a scenic glimpse of Haneda Airport and the mesmerizing sight of planes landing through a large glass window. It was truly a highlight of the stay. One detail that puzzled me was the inconsistency in room rates. Despite booking four consecutive nights, the second night was priced 350 yen higher than the rest, without a satisfactory explanation. While the amount itself was small, it raised questions about pricing policies—whether this is a standard practice in Japanese hotels or a broader global phenomenon. The breakfast experience was exceptional, thanks to the warm and attentive Nepali staff, especially Minato-san, who handled requests with patience and professionalism. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a variety of healthy choices and a great selection of buffet items, all enjoyed under natural sunlight filtering from the top of the building. A special mention to Tanaka-san at the front desk, who kindly accommodated an early check-in, making the arrival experience seamless and welcoming. Beautiful hotel, stayed in the city view room and it was a very large size room compared to other hotels we stayed at across Japan. As we don’t fit the usual demographic of someone staying here, I did feel that when we entered the initial lobby we were questioned rather a lot if we were guests of the hotel. Although I could be looking into it too much. The breakfast buffet was lovely, and it was great to receive a 2pm late check out before our red-eye flight. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

I have rarely experienced such a high level of hospitality. For me, this is the finest InterContinental property I have visited, surpassing even the Downtown Los Angeles location. We will most certainly return.

We loved our stay! It's has direct access to thr subway (albeit difficult to find coming in for the first time), so it's far enough out and quiet while being accessible to the other neighborhoods. The rooms were so nice, breakfast was 10/10. We also enjoyed the themed afternoon tea. They also organzied our luggage transfer to the next city. Loved everything!

The location was super convenient for getting around Tokyo, and everything from check-in to checkout was smooth. If you’re into anime, want great hospitality, or just want a really comfortable stay in Tokyo, this place checks all the boxes. Kenny especially made it memorable.

Lovely hotel adjacent to the Shinagawa Station (accessible directly on elevated walkway) in Central Tokyo. Rooms are clean and very comfortable, and international size and style. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Perfect location for quick access to a major train station (local and Shinkansen), with local shopping, restaurants at the station and in the general area. Highly recommended!

I have driven past this cafe before and thought it was interesting that they use vegetables in their desserts so when I walked past it today, I decided to give it a try. The cafe takes up half of the space and the other half is a shop where they sell vegetable chips, veggie-flavoured financiers, and Japanese sweets made with veggies. The interior is simple but nice and I especially liked the way the tables were on the same side as the cashier so there was a lot of privacy. I tried the Montblanc with Japanese chestnuts and it seems to be their specialty because the two other customers in the cafe as well as a customer ordering take-out also ordered the same thing. I ordered a drink set and chose the tea latte. The Montblanc consisted of a crunchy meringue base topped with cream and a substantial amount of chestnut puree, and it certainly did not disappoint. The foam in the tea latte was too frothy for me but it tasted good in general although I would have preferred that they let me put the sugar by myself. I will go again but next time, I will just order the Montblanc.

It's summer in Tokyo, time to hunt for kakigori. This one was not bad at all. I like the softness of the shaved ice, the taste of the rare cheese, and of course the fruit toppings (peach and grape). Although their peach syrup was not my cup of tea. The service and ambiance were nice. They only have menu in Japanese without any picture though. So I just asked them which one is their most popular kakigori.

Visited this place in summer and it was crowded and took some time till I got my dish. But during a winter, not so crowded and you can get your food pretty quickly. The shaved ice they serve I pretty and very very delicious. They also serve ramen, haven't tried though. Remember that this is (at least) one order per guest. Meaning if you come with friends, everyone has to make an order.

I stayed at Hilton Tokyo Odaiba and overall had a very good experience. The location is fantastic with amazing views, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and professional. The hotel facilities are impressive and the atmosphere is truly enjoyable. That said, I do have a few suggestions that could make the experience even better: 1) Pool access :This is the first five-star hotel I’ve stayed at where the swimming pool is not complimentary. It would be much better if all guests could use it free of charge. 2) Late-night food options: On one occasion around 1 a.m., there was no food available to order. Having food service available after midnight would be a big improvement. 3) Housekeeping practices: Cups and glasses should ideally be replaced with fresh ones from the kitchen/dishwasher, rather than washed in the bathroom sinks. 4) Minibar: The minibar fridge was empty. At a five-star hotel, it should be stocked with drinks and snacks. 5) Breakfast variety: Breakfast is good, but I would love to see more traditional Japanese options and some new dishes daily, rather than a fixed menu. For English breakfast, items like grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and baked beans were not available. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Hilton Tokyo Odaiba, but I hope the above points can be improved to meet the true five-star standard.

However, our stay at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba in Room 930 was, without question, the highlight of our trip and the best hotel experience we had in Japan. From the moment we stepped into Room 930, we were blown away by the spectacular views. The panoramic vista of Tokyo Bay and the iconic Rainbow Bridge was nothing short of breathtaking, especially at night when the city lights sparkled. It felt like we were living in a postcard! The room itself was immaculately clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. It was also remarkably quiet, allowing us to relax and recharge after busy days exploring Tokyo. The bed deserves its own applause – it was hands-down the most comfortable bed we slept in during our entire Japan trip. We sank into it each night and woke up feeling refreshed and ready for adventure. Every detail, from the plush linens to the perfect pillow firmness, was spot-on. The service at Hilton Tokyo Odaiba was exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and prompt, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. Whether it was arranging transportation, offering local recommendations, or handling our requests with a smile, their hospitality made us feel truly valued. Compared to other high-end hotels we stayed at, including the St. Regis in Osaka, the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba stood out for its perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and personalized care. Room 930 was a haven we looked forward to returning to each day. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Tokyo – this hotel has set the bar incredibly high!

This is our second time staying at the hotel, but this time we had my two teenage kids. Overall, it's a very nice hotel. It needs a little updating, but it feels clean and has everything you need. Keep in mind that hotels in Japan are very small for more than 2 guests - in our case they had 4 separate twin beds. We were all comfortable, but the room was filled with beds and there wasn't a lot of space for our luggage or to walk around - not a big deal since we spent most of our time out and about Tokyo. Our favorite thing about this hotel is the breakfast. It's consistently delicious with a huge spread of options (fruits, cereals, fish, traditional Japanese food, noodles, pastries, etc.). Although the hotel is far (20+ minutes, at least) from the 'hustle and bustle' of Tokyo, there are still quite a few things to do within walking distance. The hotel is super close to the train/subway station, which makes it easy to get around. (We took the airport limo from Haneda airport and would highly recommend it to/from the airport.) Summary - not huge rooms for a family of 4; clean rooms but need some updates; close to subway/train; GREAT breakfast.

One of the most stunning hotels and locations I've ever stayed in. The room was exquisite and very large by Japanese standards, or amy standard in fact. Incredible view over the water at the batteries and Tokyo bridge. It was magic. Incredible service and a really gorgeous park just beside it. I loved walking around the Ammonite shaped corridors at night to go for a smoke, it felt like a dream.

I am a diamond member so lots of hotel experience with Hilton. The executive lounge is great and gets you away from the crowds. Buffet was good and a voice of foods. Pay the extra for an upgraded room and view of rainbow bridge. Walk the shops and the sandy beach, even has the train stop right across the street.

Excellent shop which has fruits and vegetables, drinks, groceries, chocalates, etc. It's in a big complex near Shinagawa station. So we can shop and catch the train. Fruits and vegetables are fresh and the atmosphere is relaxing. I visited on 31-OCT-18. My first shop visit in Japan and it defined Japan for me. Very good experience.

AMAZING! Make a reservation through their website, it is very worth it. I was worried that the portion was too big, but honestly it was not enough! It is very easy to eat, light and refreshing. I got a seasonal item with banana, and it was filled with bananas, some kind of caramel, and cream. It was so balanced, sweet with a hint of bitterness to cut through the sugar. My husband got the original red bean, and it had red beans, and mochi in the center! We also got tea and french toast. This was an amazing dessert experience and I can’t wait to come back 😊🩷

This was an absolutely fabulous experience. The polite staff, ambiance, decor, and delicious shaved ice were a highlight of this year's trip to Japan. But if your idea of “flavor” is neon syrup and brain freeze, you might want to look elsewhere. This isn’t your grandma’s snow cone. It’s kakigori with a PhD.

The reservation system is easy, so long as you remember to book seven days in advance. Bar seating is only for those with a reservation, but there is one side table for walk-ins. I came fifteen minutes earlier than my reservation but was able to be seated because the previous reservation had already finished. The Peach Melba Shaved Ice (¥3300) was delicious. It was refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. The eating situation is a bit precarious, though, so eat quickly. Also, don’t be fooled—it is actually quite filling despite being ice. This is one viral spot that is worth the hype in my opinion.

I managed to get a reservation for this place after years of dreaming of visiting. The place is small, can house maybe 6-8 people. The menu is limited to three things: 6-7 flavours of kakigori (shaved ice), 2 flavours of French toast, and a soup of the day specifically made by Florilege, a two Michelin star restaurant in Tokyo. The soup today was a miso soup like no other. It’s smoky, slightly charred taste made such a depth on a classic. Each sip shooed away the winter. The kakigori though. It is perfection. We ordered the Raspberry Chocolate and the Matcha and Japanese Orange. The raspberry’s tartness is modulated by the differing textures of chocolate syrup and cream. The fresh matcha is elevated by the bittersweet oranges - they utilised both the fruit and the rinds. I went with a friend who I loved speaking with, and we were in dead silence working our way through the ephemerality of the snow ice. The French toast of the day is burnt lemon flavour, which is also really delicious. They make the bread with their signature Azuki (red beans). It took us both to the greatest highs, and I will sincerely recommend this place for any occasion. ごちそうさまでした.

Difficult to get a reservation ✅ Instagram hype ✅ … but is as good as the hype …. YES✅✅ It’s a very tiny restaurant with not more than 7-8 seats, therefore (if you don’t want to gamble and walk all the way for nothing) a reservations is highly recommended. Kakigori-wise this is the top end on how Kakigori should taste. There are 3-4 different varieties you can chose from and all are different, so chose wisely based on your preference. When it comes to the prices, it is quite expensive but still ok for the value you get served. The only thing which can be a little bit uncomfortable is that your seat is only reserved for you for a specific amount of time and the waiter will let you know that it’s time to pay now (but if you know this before than it’s ok)

We arrived just before closing on a Saturday so there was no queue. The small shops had a lot of interesting things and plants to look at while we waited on our shaved ice. Lots of toppings to choose from. I had the pecan pie without alcohol as I am pregnant and it was delicious! The lady at the shop was really friendly and the atmosphere was inviting!

This shave ice is a work of art. Our strawberry pie shave ice had multiple flavors the deeper we went, there were pieces of strawberry, cream, topped with a beautiful fox hand-painted cookie. Our family eats a lot of shave ice, and this was next level!

A "snakku" rented out for shaved ice during the day time on certain days. I waited for approximately 40 minutes at 34+ C outdoors for a seat. The ice is shaved is slowly and carefully with each layer being seasoned well and fully such that each spoonful is light, flavorful, yet balanced without being cloying or oversweet at any point. They offer condensed milk for an extra fee at the end to clean off the bowl but it's so well incredibly well made, that you won't need to. The door is open so the heat still comes in quite a bit but is still fine. Water is self-serve and the staff are curt and efficient.

(Original) 東急池上線　戸越銀座駅　下りホームの改札　目の前の好立地です。それでも、お値段はちゃんと安い　いつもの「まちおか」です。踏切に引っかかると、ついついこのお店を覗いてしまいます。ちょっと通路が狭いですが、お菓子を宝探しするように物色するのもまた楽しいということで。
