There's a chocolate shoppe, a factory behind a display class for passersby to see, plus a mini-museum all within the same area!
The museum has an interesting display of their history of products, the creator as well as how they were advertised throughout the years. It's an iconic chocolate from Hokkaido, and I recommend to everyone who is here to stop by and see. It's located near the central cafeteria of the airport too, so it's hard to miss it.
Visited in 2018. First place I stopped by after touching down in Hokkaido and I absolutely love this place. There was a display on how chocolates are made and a bakery with all their chocolate goodies. You can get Royce chocolates here as well to bring back as souvenirs.

The crossiant is not nice even after being toasted. It may not be made of butter. The price does not justified the quality. I expect the bread to be golden yellow brown instead of baked so dark brown. Should not buy again unless i c an improvement.
New Chitose Airport is a most amazing airport. It is not only somewhere you go through, but also a destination in itself. This Royce Chocolate World is one of the many things that make this wonderful experience.
It is a tiny museum where you can see a brief history of chocolate, including a very nice collection of chocolate packaging and another of printed advertising. There is also a modern demo factory in production behind a huge window.
Royce is a great chocolate and this little exhibition area really makes our Hokkaido trip more memorable
The chocolate from here is the best!! They have a bakery as well with pastries and fun souvenirs to take home. The bus from the station is very convenient!

Morimoto Honten is a charming bakery with an inviting atmosphere and a wide selection of baked goods. The shop offers soft and chewy breads, fresh salmon, and delicious pastries like the strawberry and pistachio mousse. While some items may have too much cream, the overall quality is fantastic for the prices offered.
Perfect bakery for breakfast. Modern, clean and plenty of quality selections. Delicious. Kitchen pumps out fresh items constantly whilst we were there.

There are a plenty of breads and pastries that you can choose. They look delicious. There are many tables inside the cafe. There was only Japanese on the menu and on the description of the product. The prices are very reasonable.
Their breakfast service is extraordinary. You get coffee and 2 tasty breads just for 500 yen. You simply need to go to the cashier to
tell them you'd like a morning set, pick 2 breads out of 3 choices, go to the eat-in space with your breads, and help yourself for coffee with the machine.
Modern and big and cozy and good place for taking a break at cafe or buying cakes and breads for to-go.
A very bright, nicely renovated and inviting shop. Even the structure of the building is attractive for a simple town like chitose.
The breads are super soft yet chewy. The salmon is fresh and of good quality. The only complain is too much cream stuffed in under the salmon. They do not have English labels. So you kinda of get what you see and bargain on what's inside. Like my case, I had to squeeze the blob of cream off my bread. If I had knew there is cream on there, I will make another choice.
Otherwise, staffs are helpful and sitting area is clean and comfortable.

As always the staff was super polite and helpful. They have a section to sit and enjoy your pastries as well.
Great little bakery. We ordered the strawberry and pistachio mousse and it was excellent. There is a wide selection of breads, pastries, fruit purée, and more to choose from. The atmosphere was very classy and well designed, and the large windows brought in tons of natural light, making it a delightful place to sit and enjoy a treat.

The store offers Hokkaido Kaitaku Okaki, finely cooked rice crackers available in nine flavors made from high-quality local ingredients. These sweets are highly recommended and can be found on the 2nd floor of the arrival hall.
Compare to other stores, waiting line was manageable. Cream puffs tasted great. The staffs were friendly and the store also had a decent selections, which made it a perfect stop before boarding.

KINOTOYA Shinchitose Airport factory is a popular spot for Hokkaido souvenirs, offering light and crispy Sapporo Agricultural School cookies with a melt-in-the-mouth texture. Started lining up at around 8.30am (store opens at 9am). There was already a long line.
Was in line for a total of 1 hour and 47 minutes.
The cheesecake was surprisingly very oily when I removed it from the plastic packaging so please remember to prepare some wet tissues beforehand.
The brown crust of the cheesecake was slightly firmer than the rest of the cheesecake.

Long queue at new chitose airport. I had tried the hokkaido cheese tart twice. Per piece ard 250 yen. The crust is cripsy, the cheese is more melted compare to Hokkaido cheese tart in Indonesia. It also has more lemony taste.
Try the soft serve ice cream too. It is quite popular but I think the taste is quite similar to any place you can find in Indo. This is more milky type (so different from the mixue cheap version hehe).
I recently had the pleasure of trying the apple tart at Kintoya Ringo pastery shop , located in New Chitose Airport. As I was walking through the airport, I couldn't help but be drawn to the tray full of fresh apple tart and the long queue of people waiting to try it. I decided to join the queue and it was definitely worth the wait!
The apple tart at Kintoya Ringo was the best I have ever tasted, both in Japan and anywhere else. The crust was perfectly flaky and the filling was bursting with flavor. It was clear that a lot of care and attention went into making this tart, and it really showed in the end product.
In addition to the delicious apple tart, I also noticed that Kintoya Ringo's ice cream looked very popular. I didn't get a chance to try it this time, hope I can give it a try in the future.
I also picked up some Hokkaido milk cookies from Kintoya Ringo and they were equally as delicious. The cookies were soft and buttery, with a rich, creamy flavor.

We made an online reservation for lunch here. As expected from a renowned dessert specialist in Hokkaido, the texture of their soufflé pancakes was excellent, though a bit too sweet for our taste. Their pasta was also of impressively high quality.

Went around 11.30am today n there wasn't any queue and was shown the seats fairly quickly. There is a cafe on one side n confectionery on the other. Plenty of parking space.
Ordered the recommended pancake with choc ball and the honey butter pancake which need to wait for approx 40mins and damage is ¥3,700.
The pancake was really fluffy and the choc is so rich in flavour, it was really good. The butter honey pancake was also delicious. IMHO, worth the wait to hv a simple and peaceful meal with your loved one.
I must say, everything in hokkaido is sooo good. A must visit if you are nearby Chitose.
Decided to come by here for a quick lunch after picking up our holiday car nearby. Saw that the opening hours of the restaurant was 11am but there was already 35 groups in the q (it was a sunday). The reservation system operates by Line app, so since i did not have the app, there was simply no way to know when we would get a table (according to the queue chit that we churned out from the tablet at the front of the restaurant, they willl use Line app to call you once ur table is ready), we decided to abandon lunch plan here and venture to the bakery shop just opposite (by the same company). We bought a variety of buns (miss), muffins (ok), strawberry tart (ok) and the creme puff (must buy!). Store was great, nice decor (it was Halloween time when we visited) and even had some seats at the side for you to rest and have a quick bite of your purchases. There's foc plain water at the nearby counter too. Queue was long at this bakery shop the entire time we were there but moved fast and orderly. Expect to wait around 20mins from the time you choose your items with the plastic tong and tray provided, to when you get to the front of the line to make payment and your purchases are packed very nicely in the iconic blue paper bag for you.
Horrible experience, waited 1hr+ for the food and everyone was served their main course and desserts before us despite our queue number being first. No one attended to us and the staff was unhelpful and unable to communicate in basic English. Just go to the bakery next door for better service
Not the amount for the food. I liked the peach special drink it was really delicious but the pancakes was not worth the hype for me. The taste is good and are really soft. The presentation wasn't the best.I didn't find the luxury I was looking for. Basic plate, toilets are simple, the staff is not bad but not on extra polite level that you might expect from expensive cafes.
