Cookies get 4-5 stars. Cupcakes get 2 stars. The cake portion of the cupcakes lacked moisture...very dry overall. Icing was overly sweet on each. We visited on Monday morning shortly after they opened. They are closed on Sundays. The cakes just seemed too dry to have been baked that morning as they have claimed their responses to other reviews. If they were indeed baked that morning, then maybe overcooked??? Regardless, flavors need improvement. We tried 4 separate cupcake flavors. The vanilla blueberry was bland. The only thing that tasted anything remotely of blueberry on that cupcake were the actual blueberries on top. They sadly were the best part of that cupcake. The chocolate cake cupcake with vanilla icing tasted minimally of chocolate and lacked so much flavor. I just expected a deep, rich chocolate flavor, but it was just bland and dry. The lemon curd and carrot cake cupcakes had better flavors overall, but the icing was just overly sweet and cakes still dry overall. The cupcakes were pretty but just were not worth $4 each, and we overall expected much better for the price. The cookies were chewy and much better overall than the cupcakes. We had a ginger molasses cookie and an oatmeal raisin cookie. There could have been much more ginger in the ginger molasses, but it was still overall a decent cookie. The cookies were large in size and seemed to actually be worth their cost. The person who helped us seemed very pleasant. The store was clean. But, I'd rather spend my money on better desserts elsewhere.

WOW… love this small cute bakery on a side street of downtown Charleston!!! I did a Google search and found Sugar Bakery had very good reviews.. I had a custom mini wedding cake made for my son’s weddings in Kiawah Island. I ordered a confetti cake with strawberry jam filling with white frosting & I decorated the rest with a figurine & flowers. The cake was absolutely delicious! We also bought a dozen cupcakes , trying seasonal flavors, classics , and a few gluten free. They did not disappoint , the lavender was probably a favorite! Next time I visit Charleston I will be sure to go back !

Cute little bakery. Purchased a few cupcakes to try. Never heard of a hummingbird cake, supposed to have banana, walnut and pineapple, but I think I got a unmixed one, or maybe it's all blended because I don't think I had any of those pieces. Frosting was nice though. Also purchased a Lime curd, Lemon curd, and pinata surprise. Lime and Lemon were very tart, which would've been alright by itself but the frosting was soo sweet. I guess it's to try to balance them out, but it feels more like it's just overwhelming. Pinata surprise was just a cake with sprinkles, but the frosting was good. Also got a blueberry muffin and a Pecan Chewy. Blueberry was nice, bit more moist than the cupcakes it felt like. But the chewy really good. Would recommend.

The cookies were amazing. Crunchy outside but soft and chewy inside. So good! Gluten free choc chip cookie definitely didn’t taste GF. The double chocolate also great but pretty decadent as expected

This place has the Charleston Sweet Charm. I like to go on our way to the aquarium for a special kid treat. They also have delicious coffee. We love their cookies and cupcakes! It is so quaint and sweet. They are so thoughtful, they have a great selection of candles for birthday cakes. The staff are knowledgeable and take humble pride in their work. I have been here a few times and always enjoy the experience. We will be back and I recommend you give them a try.

DELICIOUS CAKES!! We had three Sugar Bakeshop cakes at our wedding: the double chocolate, vanilla blueberry, and raspberry lemon. Our guests were raving about the cakes with many even going for seconds. Placing an advance order and day-of pick up was incredibly easy. Thank you!!

Went to Charleston for moms birthday. After reading reviews I decided to try Sugar. I was not disappointed. This shop gets 4 stars on the smell alone. The cake was so delicious I even froze the leftovers. Couldn’t bear to waste it. Super friendly staff. Worth every penny.

Wonderful food! Our Airbnb was directly across from this great bakery so we came by twice during our stay. Get there early! Choices were dwindling by 10am. The food was so good but it was cold. We took it back to warm it up. That’s a consequence of the plague and outdoor service so I get it, just be prepared.

This will definitely be my daily go-to breakfast spot for the week I'm spending in Charleston! The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was amazing, at least in part because of the delicious roll that it's served on. You just have to get there early because they often sell out. I also love that they offer oat milk as a dairy alternative in their coffee drinks. For those who haven't tried it, it's considerably better than almond milk. The chocolate macaroon was also amazing!

For breakfast this morning we had a blueberry muffin, egg and cheese biscuit, and cinnamon roll with coffees. The decaf had to be a latte, but it was delicious. We ordered from the side of the building where they are doing counter service only. They had a lot of offerings for being counter service only. They were also super quick! Awesome little gem in the residential district of downtown.

I travel to CHS often, and I never miss an opportunity to visit Browns. The line is worth it! The bagel bombs will make you rethink your life. The croissants are buttery yummy goodness to the last bite. The drinks are worth the wait and put everyone else to shame. Oh Browns, I LOVE you.

Seriously delicious baked goods!! Just try anything on the menu and make sure you get there early since they sell out fast. I got some flaky baked items with berries and the other one with chocolate. Nothing is overwhelmingly sweet, perfect balance.

Everything they make is great. Ordered the yule log off the holiday menu and its the best cake I have had in my entire life. It was so beautiful. The meringue mushrooms were so cute and delicious. The frosting was chocolate but not too sweet and the filling was a light vanilla cream. Absolutely delicious.

This is the best croissant that I've had in a long while. The danishes looked fantastic, but I wanted to try a classic pastry and they blew it away. Just wow. It was so buttery, flakey, and perfectly cooked. Some of them looked a little over-proofed, but I certainly don't care. They tasted 10/10 regardless.

WildFlour is a cute, small bakery. It has a little bit of seating. Pastries look good and fresh. We can only report on the one thing we had - the mini coconut cream pie. They clearly used good ingredients, and the pie was very light and tasty. The cream was really nice and fluffy and not too sweet. The custard was also good, but there was not enough. The crust was good and had a bit of salt, which was a nice contrast to the sweetness of the rest of it. The only improvement we could offer is to balance the custard and cream better. The cream really overwhelmed the custard and, as a result, the coconut flavor wasn't there as much as one wants when ordering coconut cream pie.

Drive past all the time and never stop by. I'm glad I finally stopped. Parking is easy! Great breakfast/brunch stop. On the go, or if you want to sit and enjoy your coffee and food. Have an assortment of coffee, breakfast food, desserts, fresh cakes, and pies. The service was great and will be back soon to try something different. It's probably the best bakery in Charleston!

I was able to pick up a few cupcakes & Oreo cheesecake for my husband's birthday. They were honestly the BEST cupcakes I think I've ever had. I LOVED the carrot cake cupcake. I could have liked the box. I was also able to grab some candles for him too (talk about waiting till the last minute). The lady working there was so helpful and kind. Great customer service. The young lady at the counter was informative and personable. The other employees were friendly as well. Ordered an iced latte with almond milk and brown sugar cinnamon syrup. It was tasty. Second State coffee is used. Syrups are made in-house. Also ordered the BEC (bacon, egg, & cheese) on a baguette. Unfortunately, there was a hair in it so I had to drive back and get a new one. Cashier was apologetic, but they lose stars for that. Home fries are chunks of potatoes that are fried very nicely. I’d get those again. They sell various local items, such as teas, jerky, meats, & grits. There are some grab and go things in a freezer — pasta & sauce, take-and-bake biscuits, pasta, & pies, gluten-free bread & buns, and more. Plenty of indoor seating.

I highly recommend Baguette Magic! I stopped by for a my favorite almond croissant while on the way to the beach today! I ordered the turkey sandwich and it was amazing!!! The flavors explode with each bite! The staff was helpful and the service was prompt! There are lots of items to take home too!! Turkey sandwich, almond croissant!! Win- win!!

We recently visited Baguette Magic for breakfast and tried a few dishes: the Chef’s Hash, the Bep Sandwich on a croissant, and the Avocado Toast. The standout was definitely the Bep Sandwich on the croissant—absolutely to die for! The croissant was perfectly flaky, and the combination of flavors was spot on. It’s a must-try if you visit. The Avocado Toast came in second. It was super fresh and well-seasoned, with the avocado spread just right. The radish was a great touch. The Chef’s Hash was our least favorite. While it was decent, it didn’t quite stand out compared to the other two dishes. Overall, Baguette Magic offers a solid breakfast, and the Bep Sandwich stealing the show.

I love Baguette Magic! It's a great breakfast/brunch spot with friendly staff and delicious food. I always get the avocado toast or the BEC on a croissant. It's a great local business that I recommend to everyone!

Everything is freshly baked and tastes incredible! We got several pastries because we couldn't decide and so we could try a bite of all of them! We absolutely loved them! Its a neat place with welcoming staff and delicious food. The menu is simple and filling. My cup of Joe was strong and flavorful. Clean. Quick. Tasty. Reasonably priced. Offers premade frozen dinners. And even community engaging. What not to love, if you like baguettes, of course.

The tall gentleman who brought hot chocolate to us, was very nice and friendly. I’m sorry to leave a mess for you to clean. 🙏 The paper cup is the softest, most wobbly paper cup, the card board ring is way too loose to stay in place. When I grabbed my drink, the paper bent, hot chocolate spilled out onto me, I had to rush off back to my hotel to shower and change. Not to mention the mild burn 🔥 To the owner: you shouldn’t cut corners in these cheap, soft paper cups. I’m sure I’m not the first one this accident has happened to. Really messed up our plan for the day.

First and definitely LAST visit. Staff barely smiled. Seats are all worn out. I ordered a biscuit, hot chocolate and cappuccino. Drinks were hot… that was the best part of it. I unfortunately discovered that all sandwiches are premade and just warmed up in the microwave….big, HUGE disappointment! Don’t recommend this place to anyone at all! If I was given the option, I would give a negative star to this place 😐

Looking for a cozy and quiet bakery? baked house is your place. { 5🌟} I went June 11, 2025 and it was incredible. The vibe of the little bakery was so refreshing and it was quiet which was perfect to edit some photos and relax after a hot day. I ordered the biscuit and the funfetti cookie both were really yummy. I loved the softness and it was THE perfect cookie. The staff were super cool and very sweet the lady with black hair complimented my LPS purse was incredible sweet. The environment was really nice, tables were clean, food was scrumptious and it was a 10/10 will definitely be back soon. Props to the staff again they were lovely!! I unfortunately did not get their names

Ordered a latte and a cap. They have a good machine (La Marzocco), but both of our drinks were steamed way to hot, machine may be over tuned, but it was not drinkable for over 20 min. I burned my tongue badly. The milk was clearly over steamed as it did not create any volume in the espresso, it was thin. Pastry was great.

Ordered iced mocha, tasted like watery chocolate milk. My husband and I are not “coffee snobs” but we both had a sip of the drink and agreed it was not good. Positives are the convenient location and nice barista.

We HAVE to stop in this place every time we are in Charleston. The owner is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about food and wine and we are never disappointed with his recommendations. As great as the croissants are, the chocolate sea salt cookies are amazing too. He also just started offering these little molten chocolate bell-shaped cakes that I wish I had bought all he had. Wonderful place and we can't wait to go back!

Best croissants in the South! Plain, chocolate, or delicious almond filled. Flaky and buttery, just perfect. Obviously great macaroons, everything is hand made fresh on location, nothing frozen. I smelled Macaroon Boutique about 7 years ago as I walked down King Street and it has been my favorite place to get a treat in Charleston ever since. The couple who owns the shop are lovely - when I was in college, they would send me home with extra croissants and always greeted me with a smile. After I moved away, they would still remember me when I came home to visit. More importantly: these are the best croissants and the BEST raspberry macaroons I have ever had in my life. If you're looking for a place to go and lounge around and have people wait on you - this isn't your spot. But if you're looking for amazing french treats then look no further.

The sweet gentleman who owns the shop saved my wedding day!! We had a macaroon disaster from another place and the owner here gave me his orders and made more just to help! We had the cutest and tastiest pink and white macaroons we used as are escort cards with our guests names on them. They were such a hit! Everyone wanted more macaroons! I will never go to another macaroon boutique ever, best in Charleston.

My absolute favorite place to go for maccaroons in SC and GA! The mango maccaroon was fabulous! However the chocolate almond croissant was incredible! It is one of the best pastries I've ever had!! The shop was charming and I love the authentic French feel it has. It doesn't feel like just another American bakery. The owner was so friendly and takes pride in his creations! This is a must stop in Charleston!

Awesome Croissants and great Macaroons. The croissant is not like your typical croissant, with that being said it is amazing! Expect something different and be amazed. Had a great conversation with the owner, he was very friendly. Will be back next time we are in Charleston!

A friend and I were visiting Charleston for YALLfest and saw Macaroon that day, but didn't have time to stop in. The next day was a Sunday, and we wanted to be up and around early. Most places didn't open for Brunch until 10 or 11am. We hoped Macaroon would be open for some pastries. They weren't- but the owner let us in anyway! He was so kind to us. The Macaroon's were very good, and I loved my chocolate croissant.

Party of 4 walked in to escape a little rain and to grab refreshments. Skyler was our server and she was on point! Her attitude was upbeat and her recommendations were no different. I had one of the old fashioned cocktails and it was great and had a little spin on it. I would definitely recommend this drink if you visit. My partner and my sister both ordered espresso martinis that were really good and Skyler recommended another martini which I believe was a mocha-tini and it was fantastic and she recommended the curious George to my partner which she also really enjoyed. My nephew got a chocolate kids shake with Oreo and he absolutely killed it in no time. We also got a slice of the red velvet cake to share and I tried the gluten free chocolate cake and they were both SO good! Not too rich- not overly sweet and the perfect moistness. I often recommend Kaminskys to people and will continue to do so.

Stopped by a dessert shop and tried their three-layer chocolate cake. Rich, decadent, and absolutely worth the hype. Each layer delivered a deep cocoa flavor with just the right level of sweetness. The frosting was smooth and velvety without overpowering the cake itself. This place clearly has a following, and it’s easy to see why. Whether you’re a chocolate lover or just craving something indulgent, this slice hits the mark.

Amazing dessert cafe in Charleston. All of the food and drinks are so good. It's in a great location in downtown as well. The only down side is the inattentive staff might leave you hanging for a while before checking on you. It's worth it though, check it out!

On a quest for the best key lime pie in Charleston - found it! Kaminsky's is a charming coffee and desert pie shop with cozy seating.

So much heart! Wife had chicken salad on croissant and said it was like trying a croissant for the first time. Falafel had a warming spice and tasted so subtly delicious. Crispy fries with incredible spice. Going to take some baked goods home. Definitely recommend!

A Charleston staple on East Bay. Been around for decades, strong value play! Entrees around $20, glasses of wine 6-10. Ill say that again - glassed of wine around $8- when was the last time anybody has heard of that in 2025!? Very diverse menu, huge amount of desserts. Not the most high end in town, but not trying to be. Worth a try for a casual meal or dessert. Hard to call yourself a local without stopping by at least once.

Ordered the Reuben sandwich with onion rings, a side salad with ginger dressing & the She Crab Soup. The sandwich was “eh.” It needed something. Added salt, which helped, but still needed something. The soup was fabulous. It came with a roll, which was tasty and great dipped in the soup. The salad was absolutely fabulous! It had fresh mushrooms, spinach, avocado, tomato & cucumbers. Our waitress was simply wonderful, friendly, outgoing, helpful and very chatty, which we liked. To us, that makes our experience more personal. We didn’t get pastries since we ate dinner, but they looked very yummy.

On our last day in Charleston, we tried this place a half mile from our hotel in the French quarter. We had seen it earlier in the week on our way to the aquarium. Hands down some of the best Mediterranean food we have had in quite some time. The portions were huge. The ingredients were fresh. The three of us ate off two ordered meals and still had left overs. One server for the entire dining room, however he handled us and others quite fine. Never missed a beat. One star down on atmosphere as it’s a bit dated and could stand a fresh coat of paint per see. For a casual restaurant it could be a 5 star though. Just depends on how you want to grade it.

I like the variety. The Crookie is a croissant filled with cookie dough. I expected a crunch to the croissant that was lacking. I wanted to put it in the oven to crisp it up but the pastry was already dark, slightly dry. I did enjoy the gooey cookie dough center. I also sampled a slice of chocolate cake that was good but I didnt get to sample it at room temperature to experience the different textures of the filling.

If you are looking for the largest chocolate croissant, Saffron Bakery is the place! Staff were incredibly friendly and efficient but we did not find the pastries or bread to be anything special. We ordered an Apple danish, a chocolate croissant, a pecan roll, an iced chai tea, and a ciabatta bread. The pecan roll was the best of our selection. While the pastries were satisfactory, we had higher expectations. While we did not get to try the cakes, they did look extraordinary! The parking lot also only has about 6 spots which were often full, however, we were able to utilize paid parking across the street.

It feels like we visited Saffron at the worst moment. Atmosphere: it feels like they are preparing for a renovation. Service: fast enough and polite. It felt as though they are a bit understaffed. Food: this one is the hardest. Small plates - very very good Crab & Avocado Stack - fresh and balanced! Shrimp and grits - I guess we simply didn't understand their variant of the recipe. No smoky flavor, no tomatoes, grey-ish gravy. Ate shrimps, left the rest. Shrimp Curry - delicious rice and curry with raw spiced veggies as if chef forgot to grill them at all. Coffee - good Americano. Deserts we had Pear Tart and mini amaretto cream bake. Pear Tart 3.5. amaretto cream bake very good, fresh and flavorful! And they had really good Raspberry Mimosa!!! That's gonna be my feedback. As honest as it can be.

Came at 7:15 when they opened and all the pastries were cold, so they were at least baked the night before. More importantly they taste as bad as they look. Worst than grocery store. The dough was not laminated at all and thick and heavy and flavorless.

I had one of the most disappointing experiences at a bakery. I requested two croissants, while several dozen were freshly baked just a few feet from the cashier — we even saw them being taken out of the oven. The cashier's response was shocking: “I only have one on display; the rest are for tomorrow.” This response left both my wife and me frustrated. It's a poor attitude toward customer service. It's hard to understand why fresh products wouldn't be offered to paying customers on the same day they are baked. Management really needs to address this mentality, either by providing better training or rethinking staffing. A bakery should feel welcoming and accommodating, not frustrating and dismissive.

Best bakery in the area. Amazing selection of croissants, bars, tarts and loaves of bread. The latte was amazing as well. I’d definitely recommend stopping by here in the morning before starting your day of adventures or work. Lots of seating outside and parking nearby.

This was my favorite place to go for breakfast and coffee every morning while I was staying in the area. Coffee is delicious, but their selection of pastries is amazing. I was obsessed with the Everything Cream Cheese Croissant. Oh. My. The croissant was light and flaky. I have been craving it ever since I left. I got it every morning. Also, service was super fast!

Stopped by for cookies and some soda, didn’t take any pics of the food as it was a drop by event while wife was shopping. Great neighborhood and trendy places in this area. Very kind people and pet friendly.

The employees were nice and welcoming. The carrot cake bread was miss for me. It actually tasted like bland banana bread and was very greasy. I threw it away after one bite. There's not really a lot to choose from at this bakery.

Welcoming store in a quaint old light blue house on a side street in Charleston specializing in making chocolates and pastries. Worth the experience alone!

I've been in Charleston a long time and never knew about this place until recently. Wow! Located between Meeting and King Streets on Society, the pastries, the chocolates, everything here is delicious and just as good, priced right! From the little cakes of mousse to the chocolates you will not be disappointed in the taste. No doubt this place will be responsible for ten of my pounds at some point, LOL!

The chocolates and macaroons were beautiful, and the employees were lovely. I try and find good macaroons whenever I travel, so I was really excited about these, and the presentation in the packaging was absolutely beautiful… but they fell short flavor wise. All the fruit flavored ones tasted overpoweringly artificial. The other flavors, like the chocolate and the salted Carmel were absolutely delicious!

Best macarons and truffles. Try the dark chocolate blue cheese one, you won't regret it.

These are the best cookies I have ever had. They are fat & gooey in the middle yet thin and crispy on the outside. My favorites are the house (oatmeal pecan chocolate chip), “samoa”, Mexican dark chocolate, and praline. The sweet tea tasted like it was full of crushed black leaf tea, the bourbon cookies truly kick you with a warm alcohol finish and the fruit cookies are very well balanced, fruity but not too loud or fake flavor tasting. If you need a drink on King stop here too. They have the largest collection of Dr. pepper & Mt Dee cans I have ever seen, 1$ local coffee, or cold skim, whole & chocolate milk to go with your cookies. So far there is only one staff member running the place each time I have dropped in, yet they are always very kind, open and charismatic. This place is high quality & good vibes.

Amazing place!! Super friendly owner! We stopped by a few times and as we keep kosher the store was so nice to make a few unique items. Fresh bagels!! Pizza!! It was a truly a treat and my kids loved it. If you’re in Charleston this is a must stop!!

The chairs by the window. That’s the move, to eat your treats sitting down like royalty because the people watching is amazing. It’s like live reality TV. The ice cream is spectacular. All the flavors. The cookies aren’t bad either and if you do both together… well that’s called Nirvana, Taylor. Oh, they’re dog friendly too. The owner and staff are kind, accommodating and sincere. A must every time I come back.

Ok...I love me a good cookie. And I try about every cookie place I can find. We stumbled upon King Street Cookies...walked in....we were the only people in there yet two workers said nothing. I walked up and back down the counter of cookies to browse what I was going to pick from. I ended up with ... I believe 7 different cookies. I believe it was a chocolate chip with pecans was the first one I broke a piece off of. Wasn't bad. But as I continued to try the other ones, they all seemed dry. The cookies did not have a gooey soft consistency. They just kind of tasted old and dry. They did have a milk machine...which I thought was super awesome. But you would have had to buy milk just to moisten the cookies. Definitely not my favorite. I would pass that cookie shop up between the staff being rude and the cookies just being below average....I would just walk on by...

Delicious cookies! Soft, flavorful, so many unique options. I had orange creamsicle and strawberry lemonade cookies with strawberry ice cream as a sandwich. We also ordered a sandwich with m&m sugar cookies and salted caramel ice cream. Worth a stop here! They had some gluten free cookie options too which was a nice surprise.

I went there in the middle of the day, and the sign said they were open, but the door was locked with no explanation as to why, with no people inside, either. I double-checked the hours just in case, and like I thought, they should have been open. There was also a slip stuck to the door for a missed package delivery, which loocked very unprofessional. As a jew myself, I expected more from a Jewish business.

Don’t get fooled. That bakery has nothing French except the name. Quality is horrible. Even frozen pastries taste better. $20 for 2 pastries is a ripoff. The pastries and the pastry shop look good. But that’s all you will get for your money. Extremely disappointed.

La Pâtisserie connected to Hotel Bennett is a must stop if you enjoy coffee and pastries! I tried the Frangipane and Camille’s dessert. Both were delicious!

You will think you have stepped into Paris. We enjoyed a croissant and coffee here each morning, as well as returning later in the day for dessert. Service, pastries, and ambiance were impeccable. A solid 5 out of 5 stars.

The Ruby cake was everyone’s favorite of the 3 items we purchased. The chocolate and raspberry flavor were nicely paired. All desserts were light and airy. The macarons on the Camellias cake were the best part of that dessert. Nothing remarkable to make me return, but happy I visited.

We had a wonderful breakfasts at La Patisserie during our vacation. Their sandwiches and croissants were incredibly fresh, and the staff was very attentive with quick service. The interior design is lovely, but the sweetest detail is that they take photos of visiting dogs and display them in an album — such a charming touch! Once again, they delighted our taste buda.

Service was amazing they are super sweet, soft spoken, kind location. I love that they are very European feeling location. The food was just ok though. Yes the cakes were very rich but it wasn't anything special just small cakes and decent bread.

I highly recommend this place because the food is so delicious especially the sweet croissant. It’s filled with creamy vanilla that’s not too heavy, perfectly balanced with the fragrant, light blueberry jam, and topped with crunchy almonds for that extra bite. It’s no surprise the place is packed every morning!

Stumbled into opening day of the new tiny tiny shop next door, what a delight! Huge assortment of unique and gorgeous pastries, croissants, sweet/savory cakes, and espresso drinks. The staff was all cheery and chef helping iron out service. The kitchen space is all next door in original space now, and the outdoor seating on a nice cool morning was stellar. I tried the hot honey sopressata croissant and a peanut praline berry jam croissant and both were to die for. I travel all over looking for great pastries and weltons is definitely up near the top!! Keep up the great work ☺️

Welton’s Tiny Bakeshop really lives up to the name. Small space but big flavor. We ordered a dirty chai latte, iced toasted croissant latte, a fig leaf sugar morning bun, and a dark chocolate croissant. Everything was tasty and flaky. Coffee was great, service was friendly, and they even had free samples. Cozy little spot with a fun atmosphere. Tiny but mighty!

Amazing Bakery Probably too small But all what they do is super good the apple Danish was awesome. Unfortunately they do not do any good coffees or cappuccino or latte ...Will be good if they could start to do that . But as Bakery is really good Little bit overpriced.

I’ve never been to Paris but the hot honey soppressata croissant is the best pastry I’ve ever had. We stopped on a whim because there was a line at 9 on a Saturday (only 4 people can be in the shop at once). The line flowed quickly and it was totally worth the wait before our flight.

SO GOOD! The sourdough croissant latte was the best coffee I have veer had! We got several pastries and they were all delicious.

Well-worth a visit (or many)! We were prepared to wait in line but on a Wednesday morning at 9am we didn’t have to. Staff was friendly and informative. Outdoor seating in the alley was charming. I’d be hard-pressed to choose a favourite pastry and I recommend them all: squash focaccia (warmed-up) was amazingly flavorful, kouign amann was crispy and sweet, every bite of the strawberry danish was truly mind blowing. Rosemary biscuit was surprisingly soft and mouthwatering! Drinks are brought in from a vendor but great to have in-shop. The drip coffee from Second State was mid (we are picky) but functional, and we did enjoy the free-refills. OJ was yummy.

Top marks for these cupcakes! Cupcakes are one of those things that can ask several different people for the perfect cupcake and get several different answers. That being said, these fit my definition. Light, not dry cake portion, with a good healthy dose of dense frosting with flavor and substance. Definitively sweet without that being the defining quality. Family approved, and not too big to try more than one flavor.

I found Cupcake purely by accident while walking through Downtown Charleston one summer while visiting family on Johns Island. Holy. Cow! Their flavors change daily, and every cupcake is a delicious, mouthwatering work of art. I always make it a point to stop by when I’m in the low country.

If you're downtown looking for a sugar rush these cupcakes will do the trick. The flavor selection here is bananas and I feel like they rotate their offerings day to day. If you were wondering about the large cake-size cupcakes for hosting a party or event I highly recommend them (you need to order ahead). The quality is as good as the normal cupcakes themselves and whatever is left over will easily feed you and your friends for days.

We stopped in for a treat for our son. We had a great experience here! He loved his cupcake and we really enjoyed ours as well. It’s a great place to bring your kids for a little afternoon snack or after dinner dessert.

Cute cupcake shop. One of our favorites quick dessert stops. The kids love the window display so they can pick. A little pricey for a cupcake especially if you want one boxed for an extra 2.25 but that's why we never just order one ;) Super cute space, great location and yummy cupcakes.

No line. Cherry almond was delicious and I liked how they had a vegan option as well! Very pink cute place perfect for some girly photos!

The donuts and coffees are incredible! This adorable little donut shop is a must! We came through here on a holiday weekend so it was a little crowded, there is limiting seating - so we just ordered and left. I wish we would’ve been in the area longer instead of just passing through because I’ve been craving their donuts and coffee every morning since. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and quick. The shop was very clean and just smelled delicious!

We went to see the Beth Hart concert in early May and walked all throughout Charleston. Could not pass up this place! We went in and ordered five donuts the gentleman gave us an extra one for free. Oh my god can I just tell you absolutely fabulous! I’ve had donuts from New York to New Jersey to North Carolina and Florida. My favorite? Lemon poppyseed was LEMONY!! (LOVED IT!!) loved the Keylime! The texture, the mix of flavors, the quality and portions were just fabulous. Really enjoyed the bacon doughnut and the Apple bacon fritter. If you’re in Charleston? Stop in and give them a try you will NOT be disappointed.

This may in fact be one of the most epic donut shops I’ve ever been to. The flavors are amazing and the staff is super friendly. The location doesn’t get much better as you’re right downtown Charleston. Come here to explore your sweet tooth and enjoy everything that Glazed Gourmet Donuts has to offer!

Gourmet doughnuts are always tricky business because they tend to come with a steep(er) price point for what you're getting. That said, I enjoyed the two donuts I had here. I got a classic glazed and chocolate icing with sprinkles donuts ($2.75) . Both tasted good. I enjoy supporting a women-owned business and definitely would like to try some of the more fun options on a future visit.

Best donut shop I’ve visited in a long time. Everything tastes handmade in the best way possible. The glazed was to die for. We also tried the lemon old fashioned, chocolate with sprinkles and a strawberry French toast. These weren’t too terribly sweet which I loved. The bread was light as well. Definitely coming back to this gem

Super cool donut shop. Saying a donut shop is not enough. They go above and beyond with gourmet donuts. I had a gluten free chocolate peanut butter that was awesome. If you can say a GF donut is awesome, you know they know what they are doing. The place is very casual and comfortable. They even made me a decaf espresso latte.

I'm not usually a fan of donuts even though I'm otherwise sweettoothed - but this place has really amazing ones - light and fluffy donuts with a decadent but not overly cloying glaze. Just perfect. I had the chocolate with sprinkles and the orange old fashioned, and loved both. They have a lot of other varieties, from bacon to vegan ! Chose a nice chai latte to wash it down with. They also have a good amount of seating inside. Bonus is they're located in a very nice part of the city, so grab a donut and gawk at all the beautiful buildings on king street if you're visiting ! Just wish they were open past 3pm though :)

Unfortunately this place which has amazing potential is really missing the mark. The owners need to shut down for a few days and do a deep clean on the whole entire place. There are fingerprints on all glass, debris everywhere, and it’s just very obvious that cleanings and maintenance haven’t been a priority. Good siting under heat lamps at a place that is suppose to be artisanal is crazy.

This is an excellent little bakery! They never disappoint- just so consistent for years with delicious food, straightforward quick service, and cleanliness. A place to just lounge w/ a biscuit, a sandwich, really good coffee, quiche, or whatever you like from a bakery. If I can sneak in there for a bite before work I do- it starts the day right.

Laura recommended the jalapeño cheddar bagel and it was delicious- toasted to perfection and topped with the most velvety smooth cream cheese spread; will definitely be back!

You know that you are in a working bakery when they have a "wanted" sign in the window asking for help coming in at 4 am. A cozy place that smells, looks, and feels like a bakery. Country Batard, croissants, and sandwiches looked fabulous and tasted so much better than anything you can buy at a grocery store. The bread has plenty of fine pores, a wonderful shape with a taste on the lighter, less sour and more wheaty side. The bread was stored after the first day in a plastic bag at room temperature and when toasted was still delicious 5 days later. The croissant was one of the largest and heaviest I ever had and good in taste. That said, I prefer smaller, more buttery and flaky croissants. I apologize for the 4 stars. Compared to grocery store bread this is at least on a 6 star level, but for decades I lived in Europe and compared to those breads, the bread was slightly overbaked and the croissant was missing lamination.

The food is great and the outdoor seating is super cute but the customer service is severely lacking. the employees seem so miserable, i don’t get greeted upon entering, and they’re overall just not super friendly. not rude by any means, just not super welcoming or friendly.

The food was ok but way overpriced. I bought a sandwich and a coffee for $16 and the sandwich was still cold after being “heated up”. The lady who worked the counter had a terrible attitude and made me feel very unwelcome. I’ve come here a few times, each time hoping it’ll be better but it isn’t.

A hidden gem! I found it when I was waiting for my Uber over by the market. It’s nestled back on the strip towards the back of the property lot. Love their quiche and they make a wonderful New York rye.

There isn't anything design Hayden can't do! She goes above and beyond with every cake, and the cakes speak for themselves. From hummingbird to almond, each bite of cake is perfect!

I wanted a traditionally decorated cake for our wedding and Ashley Bakery carried it out perfectly. Communication is excellent, tasting was organized and went smoothly, and the cake was delivered, and set up without us having to worry about a thing. We had our wedding cake made 3 years ago and it was stunning and everything we had dreamt of! Unfortunately the top tier of our cake got damaged in a storm so we were unable to save it for the tradition. We celebrated our 3rd anniversary in Charleston and my husband surprised me with a remake of our top tier and it was just as amazing as I remembered! The fresh strawberries and the buttercream is nothing but drool worthy! And the cake was light and airy. Can’t thank you enough for working with us and making our wedding and anniversary delicious.

My Grandmothers 80th birthday cake was the most amazing cake I have ever seen. Heyden knocked it out of the park. Service and Communication were top notch. You will not get a better cake in Charleston from anywhere else.

Ashley Bakery created the most beautiful cake for my daughter’s 17th birthday. Not only was it stunning to look at but it was also incredibly delicious! Could not recommend more!

So good! I devoured my almond pastry in 5 min. My daughter ate all of hers as well. So flaky and not too sweet. This is much better than the other dessert places we tried, including Kaminsky dessert bar and another coffee/dessert bar. The other stuff is just too sweet and lacking real ingredients. The owner here was pleasant. I hope to go earlier tomorrow to have more to pick from.

This is our favorite place every time we come into town. The kindness, experience and food of course are the best. The warm croissant sandwiches with ham and mustard that come out buttery and fresh are unmatched. We love the owners and how they make you feel cared about and remembered. I pray who ever comes to visit buys a little of everything because everything is good and no bad choices are ever made. It feels like you are out of the country when you are here and I truly love the feeling. Whenever we visit Charleston, this place is a must-visit! The owners are always incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is simply delicious!

Such an amazing yet small place. The inside is quaint and well decorated. The seating outside made us feel like we were a thousand miles away and not in downtown Charleston. The owner/baker is incredibly friendly and took the time to talk with each of us while making sure that the food was fresh and we were comfortable. We tried nearly one of everything but our favorite was the croque monsieur. It was so well crafted and tasted amazing heated up. I would come back here again and again to keep trying all of the different options.

I went to this shop last year on my trip to my friends wedding. Out of curiosity as I saw lots one 1 star reviews about how rude the owner is. But at the same time all good reviews stated how good the foods is. I actually went to all the bakeries in the city, tried all the croissants because I loved croissants. And the croissants here are the best. To me, the owners are very nice, but they demand respect and they are very straightforward which I prefer. As we should always respect each other. Anyway, thank you again for your hard work and I wish you the best!

I was greeted with the incredible aroma of freshly baked breads and gracious hospitality. I chose a "Grab and Go" sandwich as I work downtown and this kind of quality is hard to find. I will eagerly go back tomorrow and try the ham and cheese baguette! Hard to find- but easy to remember!

Some of the best raised doughnuts that I have ever had. We got the ham and cheese pretzel, pecan toffee, maple brown sugar, the coffee cake fitter and the sticky bun. The pretzel was a soft warm buttery combination of goodness with slightly crispy edges. Both the pecan and maple were amazing, the doughnuts were heavy in weight but fluffy with the texture. The toffee ended with the taste of toffee candy and the maple was just a simple sweet maple end. The fritter was a bust, it was dry and lacked any real flavor notes. The sticky bun was just a dry cinnamon bread. In the end get the raised doughnuts don't worry about acting else.

After walking into the beautifully decorated building, I was greeted with fresh and free water (perfect for people who walked there like me). The workers were swift and very polite, and the tables and seats were very comfortable (and the cold material felt amazing after the heat outside). The cereal milk donut was absolutely delicious! They also offer to warm the pretzels if purchased.

We stopped here as the last stop before we headed back to Georgia. It’s acute little bakery with quite a few option. The cashier was helpful and polite. My husband got an Apple Fritter, which he enjoyed, while I got an OG (glaze) and banana pudding. The donut was very good, but the banana pudding was top tier. It was delicious and rich tasting, and made me wish that I bought two.

From the delicious donut to the tasty coffee I ordered, everything was worth it. The barista was very nice. The aesthetics of the shop was very pleasing. I would definitely revisit this shop for more baked goods.

Just a bummer.. we chose this place to stop at on our way to Charleston and they had two donuts to choose from. It was 2:55pm and they close at 4pm. Lots of other bakeries in area to try next time. I had a glazed donut and it was good. Was not even a top 5 of what I wanted but it was fine.

My Door Dash order from here was so delicious! Cinnamon bun cream top cold brew, ham and cheese pretzel, and cookie dough cheesecake were all to die for.

This place was always a go-to for me! I’ve loved almost all of the cookies and desserts I’ve tried, and the pesto was also just so amazing!!! The prices can be a bit much but the ingredients are top notch and everything is vegan, which is wonderful. I try to recommend to others!!! The only downfall is that sometimes service can be a bit rude but other than that I hope to be back soon.

I am in love with Annie O Love's! This was the one place I wanted to try while visiting Charleston! Seriously, my mouth was watering the second we booked our trip 9 months in advance! It did not disappoint. Got the Mac Daddy "Chicken" and Waffles and my hubby got the Holy Frijoles Batman Quesadilla. Both were amazing. Loved the use of peanut butter tofu with hot sauce and the granola on the waffles. Such an interesting flavor combo. For dessert, we ordered each of the available cookie jars which were de-freakin-lightful. Mine (can't remember the name) had yellow cake and strawberry cheesecake batter layered with almonds and chocolate chips. The other had chocolate cake and layers of buttercream and chocolate chips. We even ordered an order of two pancakes (with granola baked right in) for breakfast the next morning since we were leaving early. I know some folks remarked it was a bit pricey but it was worth it. Please also consider this is a small business making everything from scratch with a fully vegan menu. Quality ingredients and hard work don't come cheap!

We stopped by Annie O’ Love’s Cookie Café to treat our son after a long day of shopping. We didn’t have much time to research, just saw the high ratings and decided to give it a try. We ordered the lavender lemonade and the oatmeal cream-pie stuffed double cookie, which we were told is their most popular item. The cookie was extremely sweet, more like a sugar bomb with a thick, heavy filling between two cookies. It felt overwhelming rather than enjoyable, and I honestly regretted letting my son have it because of how sugary it was. The lavender lemonade was also not a hit with him, as the lavender flavor was a bit too intense. On top of that, the smell inside the shop was somewhat unusual and not very inviting. Overall, while the concept of the café is interesting, the experience didn’t live up to the hype for us. Service was very good though.

i cannot put into words how incredible this cookie was!!! it wasn’t too insanely sweet, dense, moist, and everything you would want in a cookie!! the pumpkin spice matcha was amazing too

My buddy and I stopped in for a quick bite and ordered the Fungi Sammie and the Shroom Quesadilla—wow, absolutely incredible! 🌟 The flavors blended perfectly, and the fact that it’s 100% vegan was a huge bonus. Easily a 10/10. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Don’t forget to head upstairs to play some of the games too—it really adds to the experience. To top it all off, we had the lavender lemonade and, you guessed it, AMAZING. 🍋💜

Was doom scrolling on Instagram having coffee yesterday morning and came across a post that show cased all of their new fall cookies and pancakes...10am couldnt have come fast enough. I needed those pancakes. I got them. And WOW. Best. Ever. I will be going back later this week for more breakfast pancakes and for cookies! We bought 4 cookies, all of which were very good, the best one was The Wicked Witch. An intensely black and purple cookie, ive never eaten a BLACK cookie with PURPLE frosting...and im pretty sure its all vegan. Im beyond impressed and absolutely LOVE this place. My fiance and i were fighting over who got to finish the cookie. Also...the lady their split our pancakes into to dishes, i didnt even ask that she just did it. It made our experience even better as we had jjst planned to lean over and split a single serving together as a way to try it....THANK YOU!!!!! See yall again very very soon!!❤️❤️🤝

For our rehearsal dinner, Sharon created a Lemon-Elderflower Raspberry cake for the groom's birthday, which was absolutely delicious. As a caterer we have experienced a ton of cakes. The banana pudding cake we experienced at a wedding a couple weeks back was hands down one of the best cakes we have ever tasted. The integrity , flavor and presentation were top notch. I wish we were closer. You will not regret going with the tenacious tart for your next cake needs!!

The food here is outstanding. But the service is even better. The wait staff of very attentive and the executive chef even came out to see how the food turned out. I did not get a picture of everything as there were 9 of us. But suffice to say everything was very very good.

Charleston never disappoints! First time at Peninsula Grill! So classy. And Cory will take care of you at the Champagne Bar! He is amazing! Cliquot by the glass! Steak is so good. Didn’t try the coconut cake because we were too full, but it needs to happen!

The Peninsula grill was everything an upscale southern steak house should be. The vibe was classy but not at all pretentious . Our sever Ben was warm and very helpful in guiding our selections on everything from appetizers to wine. The cocktails were fantastic and the steaks perfectly cooked. The warm potato salad was one of the best things I ate in Charleston. And of course, the coconut cake slaps. I would definitely recommend the peninsula grill to anyone looking to have a nice night out in Charleston.

Peninsula Grill is an amazing restaurant. My wife and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary. Stephanie was our waitress and she was very hospitable and attentive. Unfortunately, half way through our wonderful meal, my wife had a medical issue arise. The manager and staff were very accommodating in helping us during this event. We are very thankful for your generosity during this event and we will return.

Exceptional food. Extremely attentive service. Reasonable portion sizes for fine dining. Outside seating area looked very nice though we sat inside. We had a reservation so no wait on our table. General atmosphere/ambience is probably becoming a bit dated but still a quality experience. We got the lump-crab soup, and lobster 3 way for an appetizer. The scallops and a grouper special for mains courses with sides of brussel sprouts and potatoes. We splurge and grabbed an American Wagyu off the Wagyu menu (not sure if this is a limited thing as it was not in the main menu, they also had options for Japanese A5). Then finished everything off with a slice of the Coconut Cake. Absolutely no complaints on the quality and flavor of food. We did not touch the Salt or Pepper. We parked just south at the Cumberland Street Garage for like $8 for the 2 hours.

Celebrated our 20th anniversary here. It was perfect in every way. The server was fabulous, food outstanding, making our evening wonderful.

Delicious buttery goodness! Callie’s biscuits are flaky yet filling, with crispy, crunch crust to it. I got the sausage, egg and pimento cheese spread. Yum!! It is a narrow shop, so standing room only. One must stroll to find this hidden gem otherwise you might miss it. Must try even if you have to pass by a few times!

This place is a little in/out breakfast gem. The biscuits are supposed to be made from scratch and they definitely taste like it!! —DELISH!!! We were in Charleston doing the week this time and was able to pop right in and out every morning. Last visit was on the weekend and the lines were just wayyy too long.

Awesome. Sent a big order to a friend whose mother in law passed. I’d planned to go to Charleston for 3 years…. But hadn’t made it. So I ordered for me…. And family. Almost as good as mine. I’d give Callie a 99 and me a 💯. Only because when I’m making them I’m eating them… too many of them. Watch reruns of her show. Awesome sausage biscuits and sharp cheddar biscuits. I’m hooked.

We ordered 3 total biscuits and they were all melt in your mouth. It was a slower day so we didn’t have to wait in line and we were able to eat on their little counter.

We are always in the prowl for best bbq. We only ever thought Mad Jacks in Cloud Croft New Mexico was the only best place; Lewis BBQ has exceeded our expectations! Best brisket and turkey we have ever had! Its a bonus, since we are from NM/AZ that they use Hatch Green chilis in their food! That makes it absolutely incredible to even find Hatch green chili anything in the south! Very very highly recommended!!

I highly recommend this restaurant! Haley, Will, and Nolan provided an amazing experience! They were personable, helpful with questions, and make sure my family visiting was taken care of. My food was absolutely amazing and a pretty good price based on serving size. The brisket was amazing as well! I will definitely be returning!

First time. Definitely reminds me of Texas brisket in the DFW area. The pulled pork blew me away. Moist , tender and very flavorful. Coleslaw was completely different from any coleslaw I have had. It was good and refreshing though. Definitely give this a place try if you're in Charleston

BBQ to die for. Hands down the best pulled pork I've ever had in my life. Moist and tender, but not mushy. Full of meaty pork flavor. With just the perfect hit of vinegar. Brisket so tender, you can cut it with a--plastic-- fork. Smokey and Oak-ey with a great, sweet, crackly crust. Juicy moist and perfect meaty, tender ribs.coleslaw has the tang of pickled onions in it and creamy mac and cheese with a little bit of crust... This is barbecue HEAVEN. PLEASE PLEASE OPEN A LOCATION IN PENSACOLA!!! WE WILL COME EVERY WEEK ❤️

Hats off to John Lewis and staff for treating us to a smorgasbord of smoked meats and delicious sides. The food brought me back to central Texas with the sweet wood smoke in the air, melt in your mouth brisket, spicy Texas sausages, and fall off the bone beef ribs. We enjoyed the hospitality at the bar and laid back vibe of the outdoor patio. While I would come back every day for the beef brisket, a surprising second favorite was the smoked turkey breast with green chile BBQ sauce. Congratulations on building a fantastic restaurant experience John!

Brisket and mac and cheese are easily the best, probably ever. We visited twice - first time we waited in line for about 30-45 mins but the second time was very quick! Only a few groups were in front of us. They offer a choice of lean or fatty brisket which is really nice. Tap beers/bar items available for enjoying while you wait in line.

Waited a whole year to come back to this place. Food is honey and comforting. We really like the pulled pork, Mac n cheese and the banana pudding. Oh and don't forget the sweet tea! We got lucky and found a spot in their parking lot. The wait in line was about 30 minutes but well worth the wait and the drive from Summerville. Every time we are out this way we will stop here. They ship everything nationwide now so we're going to order some for our friends and family to try it.

We were in Charleston for 3 nights and ate here on 3 different occasions. All I can say is WOW!!! The staff is friendly and welcoming, the food is absolutely incredible! Today we were helped by Morgan, Kennedy and Brixey. All just wonderful. Don’t miss this spot while in Charleston.

While visiting Charleston, came here for after-dinner dessert & coffee a couple nights. First night I had the Tiramisu, house coffee with shot of baileys and finished with an old fashioned. Everything was very good and service was excellent. Second night had the Key Lime pie and a cappuccino. However, there were a lot of grounds in the coffee. I did show the bartender and he promptly took care of it. Overall, a great option for after dinner, late night coffee, dessert or night cap! Good location and vibe. Service was also very friendly and attentive.

October is the time to visit! We tried to visit on the weekend and the line was constantly out the door. That's how you know it is the place to be. Visit on a weekday and you can enjoy a drink and people watch without the crowds. The Espresso martini is better than Henry's so stop in and get one. The Turkey Asiago Sandwich is a must have as well as the carrot cake. 😍

We visited Charleston and went to Carmella’s every day we stayed there, the food was great, the desserts spectacular (we forgot to take pictures)! We ordered an espresso martini and it was hands down the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is great as well as the customer service.

Carmellas was reccommended to me by another downtown business and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. The food was also incredible. Another patron suggested the turkey asiago sandwich, i elected for the italian but from what i saw coming out of that kitchen it doesnt matter what you order its going to taste great, at a reasonable price, and not a small serving!

Had the apple spice cake and one of their sandwiches - sandwich wasn’t anything special in terms of flavor but the dessert was great. Wish I had been there with more time to try one of the dessert drinks. Definitely worth checking out!

Stumbled upon this place and man were we glad we did. Super creative drinks as well as typical beer and other beverages. Delicious sweets, ice cream, all sorts of stuff. Service was really prompt even with the longer line to order. A decent amount of seating inside but when it was busy it was hard to find a place to sit. Will come back for sure!

Atmosphere and service was fantastic! We came to Millers for a quick brunch before heading home. We got the banana bread and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The banana bread was heavenly! It was moist and had a light chocolate cream that melted right on your tongue. The grilled cheese was super crispy and the tomato soup was amazing! The cappuccino latte had a nice decoration and tasted perfect! I would come here everyday if I had the chance to! 😊

From start to finish the whole experience was 10/10!!! Appetizers, drinks, entrées were spectacular. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant is adorable. Tristen our server, was amazing. Very attentive, and made wonderful suggestions. Definitely coming back next visit to Charleston and i would ask for him again!

We saw the menu and immediately knew we wanted to come here. Bonnie was an absolute gem and a fabulous server, her advice and suggestions were spot on and she was so sweet. The food was absolutely fantastic! We literally loved every bite of everything we got. The cinnamon roll was absolutely enormous and even tho we shared it, we barely made a dent. The grits + cheddar cheese were amazing. The cornmeal pancakes and fried chicken were spectacular. We very likely will come back for breakfast tomorrow.

I stopped by Millers All Day and ordered the King Street Bowl — absolutely delicious! Everything was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and felt like the ideal Charleston brunch dish. My waiter, Tristan, was awesome — super friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The vibe was fun and relaxed, and service was quick even though it was busy. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to next time I’m in town!

Fantastic breakfast. The biscuits are amazing. We would have liked to try a cinnamon roll, as some of our neighbors were enjoying them, but we were just too stuffed! Service was friendly and attentive. We were willing to take a high top so did not have to wait.

Really tasty breakfast spot! The food was great, though the prices were a little high ($4 just to swap bacon for sausage and $12 for a mimosa). But wow — the biscuit with apple butter completely stole the show! Absolutely delicious and worth coming back for on its own.

Despite the name of the restaurant, they close at 3p so we were happy to make it in time for a late lunch. Perhaps because it was 230p, the food was all served lukewarm vs hot, as in cooked to order. It mostly tasted fine but we like our food served hot. The shrimp and grits was ok flavor-wise but lukewarm which doesn’t work for me especially with gravy. The biscuit with sausage gravy was also lukewarm but the fried eggs were hot. The fried chicken was dry and maybe it was reheated but the bigger issue for us was too heavy handed on the pimento cheese which overwhelmed the taste buds. Not a fan of this dry chicken sandwich. The service is excellent so that gets the review an extra star.

My husband and I did the chef’s table and it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have ever had anywhere! I loved that the servers explained each dish and what region it came from. We were stuffed when it was all said and done. The service was also great. Wonderful and friendly staff. Will be back!!

Really cool dining experience. I went with my sister and we sat at the chef’s counter- I would recommend this if you get the chance. It was really fun watching the chefs do their thing and even make my food. Everything we ordered was delicious. The bacon wrapped dates and feta dip especially stood out. I also got the roasted broccoli appetizer and the steak as a main. Both were great. We didn’t have room for dessert, but they had a great dessert menu. I look forward to going again. They have a chef’s meal that looked fun, but we decided not to do that as it was our first time. Next time, I’m going to try that. And of course, service was great and super accommodating.

Went for brunch with family. A little busy over the weekend but rightly so. We loved everything we ordered. The Shakshuka especially is a must try. The hummus is great too. Tried a lot of different drinks and all were amazing. Bloody needs a special mention here. All in all will definitely recommend the place.

A friend and I enjoyed dinner here. To be totally transparent, it was a complimentary meal that was won through a rewards program. I truly couldn’t have been more impressed. Not only was the food fresh and delicious and innovative, the service was immaculate. Everyone was so kind and accommodating and certainly didn’t treat us like we were getting a free meal. Highly recommend doing the chef’s choice!

I think we must have had a bad experience here with the food. The best part of our meals was the beets. The food was bland, dry and over cooked. The staff were super nice and attentive. I rate on the experience we had, not what others say and our meals were just bad. The place was cool, the people were nice , just were let down by the food. It definitely could have been an off night they were having, as it looked good. I would try again hoping for a better go at the food.

The food was absolutely amazing! We did the chefs choice and there wasn’t a single item we didn’t love. There were foods I would normally avoid that I have a newfound appreciation for. The service was amazing. Everyone was attentive and checked on us throughout our meal. The pacing of dishes coming out was also perfect. We will definitely be back when in town.

My friend and I came on a whim. I had been before but it was a while back. We arrived and it took a while for them to serve us but our waitress came and spoke to us and gave us “presents” as she said which were marvelous appetizers. I believe her name might have been Annie. The atmosphere is great and I have always enjoyed the whacky decorations. It’s very unique if you’re looking for a different kind of upscale dining. The food was delicious and I was truly blown away by the bacon wrapped dates. I had the schnitzel with potatoes and my friend had the roasted potato appetizer. A wonderful experience regardless of wait time!

First time stopping in. The oysters were amazing. The bartenders were great. Very attentive. Probably some of the best bar service we’ve had in a while. Each bartender was attentive and friendly. And of course, the local beer was awesome.

Unfortunately took away one star because I did not see any Stouts in their beer list. For a microbrewery this place brews a lot a different beers (20+), at least a lot more than I'm used to seeing. So it's surprising to me that absolutely none of them were stouts. Anyway overall this place was a very pleasant surprise and it's both bigger, with a lot more going on than you would expect from looking at it outside. This place does flights of four and Debbie/I got two flights. Her favorite was a Holy City pilsner and mine was a Pluff Mud porter. This place has both indoor and outdoor seating with a lot more outdoor seating and a field for games. They also have a pretty full kitchen here with all the pub grub that you would expect to see. One unique thing is this brewery owns 10 acres so during October they run a haunted trail.

Great venue for a ton of things. We’ve gone here for comedy shows, there was a wedding being held here the night I made this review, we came back recently for MashFest. It’s good for lunch or dinner. Staff does get backed up in the kitchen when things get busy, but the food is great, the beer is unique, and this place is kid-friendly. We got VIP tickets for MashFest and they were worth every penny ($82). Got the chopped cheese and Nashville Hot dry rub chicken wings when we went for dinner and recommend both. MashFest, however, presented some incredible food, supported local businesses, and really provided some exciting cuisine and artisan spirits.

Enjoy the beer and tasty food. The tomato bacon jam burger was delicious. Tip have lots of napkins ready because the burger is very juicy. Philly cheese steak sandwich was wonderful and cheesy along with the onion rings. You feel welcome. This restaurant is for everyone in a large area with lots of seating inside and out.

I'd say the food was a 3 but the environment is so top notch that I can't NOT give it at least 4⭐s! My husband has been raving about this place so it was finally time to try. The brewery is an indoor/outdoor place so everyone can find somewhere to sit to be happy, but it doesn't stop there! There's a raw bar, huge traditional bar, arcade area, massive patio, gorgeous dock, picnic tables galore and it's very organized. We have 2 small kids and I foresee many nights out for us in the near future since there's so much space for them to play while we enjoy a beverage or two. We were here for lunch, so it was light. I had the turkey burger and it was ok. I wish there was more of the aoili it the patty was bigger to fill the bun better. My daughter ended up eating most of it though, so clearly it was good in her eyes! My friend had the Chicken BLT and it was a bit salty. The kids shared the chicken nuggets and neither of them liked them. They were a little dry, but I still enjoyed them! The shining star of the meal was the fry basket we shared. They were perfectly seasoned and crispy. The fries were served with a sweet sauce that was not quite honey mustard, but more than mayo. It was pretty good though! Honorable mention to somewhat good ranch and good honey mustard. 👍 Next time I'll be getting an adult beverage and maybe trying some of the apps instead.

First time here, definitely coming back! Beer garden has plenty of tables and room, dining room/ bar has plenty of seating and is well kept. I chose the gleezy hotdog, the gleezy sauce is a mustard/BBQ sauce with a little spice,my wife got the smash burger with collision fries, cheese sauce and ranch with bacon crumbles. All three dishes were delicious and came out fast. The bar staff was very professional and prompt, no chance of running out of beer here.

Another fun brewery with great beer and a great bartender. We had our first boiled peanuts which we have heard so much about in the south. Too bad we were here a day too early to find a T-shirt. Their next shipment arrives tomorrow. If you visit, can you find our sticker?

We had a second brunch at The Daily. The ordering line was kinda long but we were able to save some seats. The place was pretty radiant with indoor and outdoor seating but this particular day was cold so most people opted to sit inside. We ordered : 1. Whipped feta toast made with fresh baked sourdough top with whipped feta, drizzled with local honey, chives, and cracked black pepper 2. Breakfast sandwich that was so good with bacon, egg, smoked onion jam and pimento cheese and it tasted so good. 3. Spring-ish veggies hash was perfect meal for me with romesco sauce, roasted carrots, mushroom, and bok choy, kale, and over easy egg....so so good. The food came in fair amount of time and someone made sure we had our cups of water filled and our empty plates cleared up. I really like this place and will be back to try out their coffees.

The daily has always been one of my favorites in Charleston! I went both Saturday & Sunday this weekend and got the 3 egg burrito on gluten free corn tortillas, the avocado toast on gluten free sourdough with egg and bacon, and a pumpkin Americano. Insane. The pumpkin is the best I’ve ever had- it tastes just like fall and it is sweet without being overpowering or too sweet. We were able to grab a table outside and our food came out extremely fast. Such a great spot for a casual bite to eat or coffee after a good workout or a long run downtown! Will be back again and again and again.

Definitely my go 2 place for breakfast here in Charleston! From the amazing staff at this location in CHS makes me keep coming back! From Mark the general manager and Mark the head chef to all the staff have done an amazing job with going above and beyond with the customer service they provide! The Food is amazing every time I eat here. Consistent through and through! I highly recommend coming and dining here! You won't be disappointed at all. Breakfast sandwich, BLT, chocolate chip cookie, and the avocado toast are a few of my favorite things and a must try!

We came here on a Saturday for brunch and had a little bit of a WAIT. It's a counter service restaurant and seating is kind of scarce and FCFS. If you hang out long enough, you'll get a seat. Food: We ordered the stacked avocado toast and the yogurt bowl. Both were tasty and fresh. If you're REALLY hungry, the yogurt bowl may need some accompaniment. The avocado toast had a lot going on, but it actually worked well. The yogurt wasn't overly sweet and for most it's satisfying. Service: The interaction was just with the counter service person. They were friendly and quick. Ambiance: It's a cozy space that can feel constrained but it's not a huge deal. The colors and the decoration are all pretty cool. Overall we enjoyed it here. We prefer table reservation but that's not always feasible or realistic. If you come here on a weekend, expect a little wait, but the food and the service were great. I can see us coming back again.

We are visiting from Wisconsin on our honeymoon and decided to stop into The Daily because the atmosphere looked really cool and inviting. We walked a ton on our trip and finally decided to stop in for a coffee. The space itself is modern, clean, and has a great vibe that definitely draws people in. However, we were honestly shocked that two lattes came out to nineteen dollars. That just feels way too high, especially with so many other great coffee spots in the area offering similar quality drinks at more reasonable prices. We understand that everything costs more these days, but this was a bit much for what we received. The drinks were not hot enough and lacked the rosemary flavor. The competition around this place is strong and, in our opinion, more affordable without losing any of the experience or quality. This is just our honest and true feedback from two coffee lovers traveling through Charleston.

Honestly kinda disappointed in the coffee. I got the new Apple pie latte but it’s just milky with no flavor. I don’t even think they put the shot of espresso in and my coffee was barely warm. My husband got the golden milk and it’s hot and flavorful. We went during a slow time too so I’m not sure where the hiccup happened. Not worth $20 for two cups of coffee.

Great meal at Chubby Fish! This place serves incredibly high-quality food and creative dishes. I definitely recommend the caviar sliders, curry oysters, and the bone marrow with fried shrimp. The service was attentive and the atmosphere lively, making it a fun spot for a night out. The only drawback is that it gets very loud inside, so it’s not the best choice if you want a quiet dinner or are with people you don’t know that well. Overall, it’s a must-try Charleston gem for adventurous seafood lovers!

Chubby Fish is such a gem! The service was amazing—our server was both attentive and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience feel special. After trying another well-reviewed restaurant the next evening and leaving feeling underwhelmed, we decided to return to Chubby Fish—and that decision turned everything around. The moment we walked in and mentioned our celebration, the staff treated us like royalty. Dani and Kate were beyond kind and attentive, making us feel like VIPs the entire evening. Every dish that came to our table was a masterpiece—fresh, innovative, and hands-down the best food we’ve ever had. And we don’t say that lightly. What really left a lasting impression was meeting the owner, James London. You could see how personally invested he is in every single dish. His passion and care are evident in every plate that leaves the kitchen. It’s rare to witness that kind of dedication, and it made the experience even more meaningful. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, buzzing with the kind of energy that tells you something special is happening here. Not much to say that hasn't already been said. Simply amazing meal. Got in line an hour prior to open on a Thursday evening. Got a seat in the first seating. Proceeded to order until the server said "thats plenty", then ordered a little more. The caviar sammiches are a requirement. The gnudi was hands down the best pasta dish I've ever had in my life. The blue crab toast was magical, all that flavor but didn't over power the delicate lump crab. The lamb ribs were cooked absolutely perfectly. And many others. Well deserved success. Cheers!

What an outstanding experience! We sat at the bar and got to watch the chefs in action—such a treat. Every dish that came out was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Highlights included the oysters, crudo, summer melon with pork belly, sardine toasts (served with phenomenal bread and butter), and the bone marrow with tempura shrimp. Every bite was excellent. We ended the meal with the “Not Fried Chicken” ice cream dessert—so fun and flavorful. The service was fantastic throughout. Be sure to arrive before their 5 PM opening and be ready to line up, as they don’t take reservations. Also worth checking out: the charming little bar next door called Seahorse. A perfect spot to enjoy a drink while you wait!

Usually i would write a detailed review of a great dining experience but for Chubby Fish I want to encourage everyone to experience for themselves while sharing my thoughts on how to make it the best time. Line up around 4:30 -4:45 outside the restaurant. As most readers might already know from research they do not take reservations ahead of time. The doors open at 5pm and depending where you are in line you can sit immediately or get a reservation for later. The smaller your party the more flexibility. Ask for a 6:30 reservation even if they have space to sit immediately, you’ll want that time to start next door at their cocktail bar Sea Horse. Telling them you’ll be next door if a table opens up before your reservation time you might get to sit early for Chubby Fish. Sea Horse has a thoughtfully designed cocktail list and wonderful small bites that’s a perfect warm up for your dinner. Once seated at Chubby Fish share as many dishes you can. The team is inviting, warm and exceptional at what they do. Follow this guide and you’ll have a memorable experience.

if you are in Charleston, SC you have to go to Chubby Fish. The food, the flavors, the staff - everything was great!! Our waitress was knowledgeable and recommended great dishes for our group. We lined up right at 4pm and were able to be seated at 5pm with a group of 7. They explained they really try to get everyone on the waitlist in and will stay open later just so people who want to eat - can!

On our way out of Charleston, our group stopped in for breakfast. I got the avocado toast and my husband got the quiche. I really enjoyed my dish. The peanuts and spicy sauce made it feel a little extra. I also got a cold brew and it was delicious. My husband didn’t like his dish as much. He said it was a little bland and the salad that came with it was dry. Overall I loved the atmosphere and it was a good place to stop on our way out.

This Cafe is cool. I know thats such a short, overused descriptor but I can't think of any other place in Charleston that has this vibe. I feel like I am in a college town rom-com. Every quirky detail carefully considered and artfully placed. Even the baristas had the very Gen Z lack of care that felt almost too sterotypical to be real. The food was fantastic and presentation was beautiful. I arrived late in the day for breakfast so I missed out on using the "real" mugs but the use of dishes, mugs, and silverware that could've come out of my grandma's kitchen was a special touch. The drip coffee was okay but their latte was heavenly. Highly recommend the specialty drinks over the standard cup. Will be back! Happy to have found this gem not far from my office 🤩

We are visiting from Wisconsin on our honeymoon and stopped at Harbinger Café this morning, and they absolutely crushed it. The lattes were so good!!!!!! I got the honey latte and my wife had the maple, and both were delicious and perfectly made. The quiche was out of this world. I tried a bite from my wife’s plate and was blown away by how flavorful and fluffy it was. She could not stop smiling the entire time we sat inside enjoying breakfast and our coffees. The granola bowl was another standout with fresh apples, berries, and fruit that made every bite so tasty and refreshing. The café itself is beautiful, warm, and cozy, and it actually goes back farther than you’d expect with plenty of comfortable seating. Everything about this place felt thoughtful and relaxed, and it was the perfect way to start our day in Charleston.

I love the Harbinger because their cold brew gets me ZOOTED. My favorite treat is the Cha Cha Cha Chia, dense but soft and chewy bar with yummy frosting. I like trying their lunch trios. They change the lunch often and keep it interesting. The atmosphere is welcoming and I like their seating outside in the back. Parking is tricky in this area but always worth it. It’s a short walk from Habitat for Humanity, so it’s nice to grab a coffee and go thrift shopping!

This is one of the best cafes i have been to in charleston! We got there right when it opened and everything was made fresh! I loved all the bakery options, from your basic chocolate chip cookie to treats with all sorts of different things in it! The coffee was also really great and so was the breakfast sandwich i had. If it wouldn’t have had the sauce that was on it, it would’ve been bad. But that sauce, oh my god it was glorious 💋 I can’t wait to come back and try all of the other different bakery items and things on the menu!

My husband and I came here for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up while vacationing in Charleston. The drinks were amazing, the food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was inviting. Would definitely come here again!

Very cute and comfortable spot… service was great and quick given how busy they were at 830am. Got the numeric chai latte and it was really good. Too creamy for my liking (not a knock to them) but the flavor is amazing. Highly recommend

We stopped in on a recent trip and the lady who helped us was very sweet! We tried a variety of things. I had a cupcake and it was ok, but not memorable. Also had an almond joy bar thing and it was very tasty, but a little small for the price. My wife tried some shortbread cookies with raspberry and they were ok. Along with a pistachio macaroon that had nice flavor, but lacked that texture/chew of a really good macaroon. We also got a large piece of white chocolate raspberry cake, it was good and light. Overall we wanted to like everything more, but if we could have rated it a 3.5 we would. We would give it another try, but not anytime soon with so many other bakeries to try. To those about to nosh, I salute you!

Stopped here for a treat. We got PB cookie whoopie pies! They were yummy - the filling was light and creamy the cookie was good. We also got a piece of toffee and a Nutella bar for later. The toffee was good. The Nutella bar has like a sugar wafer bar inside it. Not what I was expecting. It wasn’t bad, I just didn’t think it had much flavor. The person at the counter was nice but definitely not friendly. She threw all our purchases in one paper bag, without any thought as to how to package the expensive treats. When I go to places like this I am hoping for an experience not just sweets tossed in a bag, like I could get at Publix.

Everything is amazingly homemade & deliciousness. Small cakes are awesome so you can serve a few different to satisfy all tastes Even the dog treats are amazing. My picky grand dog tells me so every time I bring him a treat. I’m tempted to take a bite, they smell so good. 😉🌸

Really cute store, the employees were nice, and the cake was pretty good, once you let it come up to room temp. We got a sampler of 4 truffles, and they were all disappointing, except the coconut, which was exceptional. The pecan turtle was decent, very pecan, not very turtle. Overall, worth another stop, but probably stick to the baked goods

We needed a last minute cake and LB came through for our very special celebration! They have many different flavors and styles of cakes to choose from, but we opted for Boston Cream Pie cake and it was AMAZING! We couldn’t decide on size, but their staff actually suggested quarter sheet as it fits more fridges. We had no idea what the fridge would be at our rental and they were spot on…it fit perfectly! Cake itself was so moist and you can tell from scratch and finest ingredients. Just the right amount of sweetness and the custard filling was perfect as well. Thank you for making our celebration perfect!

I have gotten two gluten free cakes here and they have been superb. They are a good size. Four layers with great filkings and good froating proportions. Several non GF people remarked they couldnt even tell it was Gluten Free. I am not GF myself but have a friend who is and I agree, the cakes are fabulous! Ive also picked up last minute cookie boxes and the selection and quality have been great. Love having this place nearby and I will continue to go back when I want cake to impress.

My wife and I stopped in at a little bakery today LB Sweets & Treats & couldn't control ourselves from getting all kinds of sweets & icecream that they make. Tiny little place with a big taste of joy. They let us know the flavors are always changing so you'll get a big surprise treat every time you go.

My wife and I visited Estadio on Saturday to make sure that we took advantage of the Aswang Noodle Club pop-up and for an early 19th Anniversary celebration. DELICIOUS! Started with the roasted oysters and the gyoza pork dumplings. The oysters were so juicy and tasty and the tarragon really added a nice flavor. The dumplings....stuffed with pork. So much rich flavor there with the chili oil without being "heavy". The chef recommended trying some off-menu raw oysters - Ocean Kiss from Bath, Maine served with a little minced shallot and maybe a drop or 2 of rice vinegar (I think). So tasty!! The mushroom lettuce wraps could be a meal itself. A variety of seared mushrooms mixed with spices, garlic and roasted red onion wrapped in lettuce with cilantro, a smoky red sauce, sticky white rice, and seaweed. I know - sounds overwhelming but so very tasty. My wife is not a huge Ramen fan but we shared the bowl of Shio Kaisen which hit the spot! While stuffed, the bartender talked us into trying the Matcha cheesecake paired with a sweet Sherry. This is not your average cheesecake - less creamy and more of a cake texture. It was moist and delicious and the citrus marmalade drizzle was amazing. I can't really describe the flavors that you get with each bite of these dishes, but "eyes rolling back in my head" comes close. GREAT NEWS is that the pop-up will be there for another week. So worth trying!! Never tried a good Vermouth? Both of the red options are very tasty!!

Awesome atmosphere, food and prompt service. Manchego cheese and Serrano ham with pigs in blanket to start, BBQ ribs and Flank steak were on point. Finish with the chocolate churros. Thank you Estadio team!

I had a great time in this place. Food was incredible. I was hungry and ordered the steak that was awesome, tender, soft and juicy. I had also scallops and the sauce was magnificent, crunchy by the almonds and a little bitter that balances the whole flavor. Churros are a must! They are not like the typical churros. Just try them

What a great little tapas bar! The warm decor was definitely evocative of Spain and every dish I tried was delectable! The shrimp were some of the best I've ever had and they also have a great cocktail menu. I recommend the milk punch, especially with the gildas. Jimmy and Spencer were absolutely amazing, providing great service and engaging company. They are happy to explain any of the items on the menu.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered almost every single item on the menu, and all the food was consistently delicious. The presentation is outstanding. Our server was so nice and offered two types of water. Both were refreshing. I highly recommend this restaurant! Next time we are in Charleston that’s going to be a mandatory stop for us! 😊

Best meal we had in Charleston, 10 out of 10 recommend. patatas bravad, paella and shrimp were so good that I was texting my girlfriends to see if they wanted to do a trip to Spain. Beautiful place convenient to everything in town. Service was EXCEPTIONAL! Special shout out to the valet team who were always willing and eager to shuttle us to various locations and then greet us with a smile when we returned. Front desk was also very kind and helpful. They greeted us with cool towels and a signature Dewberry tea. Concierge hooked us up with great places to eat and a special greeting with a small birthday cake in our room. Highly recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.

Our stay at The Dewberry was absolutely incredible. The hotel is pure luxury — from the beautifully designed rooms to the elegant common spaces, every detail was perfect. The rooftop views are stunning and truly one of the highlights of Charleston. What impressed us most, though, was the customer service. The staff went above and beyond in every interaction and even helped resolve an issue we had with an outside company we had booked through the hotel. Their care and dedication made us feel completely taken care of. We can’t wait to return and would recommend The Dewberry to anyone looking for a first-class experience in Charleston!

Perfection. Perfect location, near all the action, museums, points of interest, and restaurants. Gorgeous inside, fully stocked bar with some of the best “hotel” cocktails I have ever tasted. It is Located under one of the most relaxing, immaculate cocktail bars with views for days! Our room was clean, far exceeded are expectations, and was cozy & spacious at once. The spa was beyond reproach and personalized so much for us. The best thing about it all is this is BY FAR THE BEST customer service I have ever received at a hotel. From the front door host, every employee, bell hop, bartender, cleaning staff, valet personnel, ALL blew the customer service out of the water. In a two day stay our names were remembered! We never had any interaction with staff that wasn’t 200%. They have a very cool service, Complementary service when available where a driver will drive you to nearby locations within about a five or 10 mile radius. That was very helpful and saved money on Ubers and parking. I don’t think I can come to Charleston and not stay here . The Dewberry really shines as perhaps the best hotel in Charleston. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

Absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed for 4 nights and would def recommend or stay again. Valet service was an amazing perk. And the valets were always quick. The rooms are large and clean and the bathroom is ginormous, which is a win because I hate sharing space with my husband in there lol… both restaurants are great. Highly recommend checking out the citrus club on the roof. Even at the very end of the night for a night cap. Lounge was also lovely.

AMAZING hotel, friendly staff, the extra special touches for my hubby’s bday were appreciated!! Smiling faces and no hesitation to go above and beyond from the staff. We will definitely be back and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!! Hotel and staff definitely 5 stars!! Oh and don’t sleep on the chocolate chip cookies from the living room. They are Chef’s kiss!! Reservation, Check-In & Service: The staff was warm, welcoming, and intuitively attentive without being overbearing. The Reservation Department communicated with precise detail what to expect during the reservation process. Check-in was seamless, and every interaction—from the concierge to the housekeeping team—was polished and personable. Room: My room was the definition of understated luxury. High ceilings, custom furnishings, plush linens, and a bathroom that could rival a spa. The attention to detail was impeccable—from the curated minibar to the locally inspired artwork. And the bed? Absolute heaven. Amenities & Dining: I highly recommend grabbing a drink before heading up to the Citrus Club, the rooftop bar with panoramic views of Charleston and the harbor. Breakfast at Henrietta’s, their in-house restaurant, was a standout—every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Extras: The Concierge Team facilitated a wonderful experience with a Day at the Beach, along with the Valets Volvo house cars, creating an even more exceptional time while visiting. Location: Perfectly situated within walking distance of Marion Square, King Street shopping, and countless galleries and restaurants. Final Thoughts: The Dewberry is a true gem—elegant without being pretentious, luxurious without losing its sense of place. Mr. Somner and his highly skilled Hospitality Team allowed for a wonderful visit; and, anytime my family and I are back in the Charleston area this will be our destination.

Excellent Hotel! First time visiting beautiful Charleston for a birthday celebration and I was so happy with my husbands choice of staying at the Dewberry. The incredibly attentive staff, beautiful rooms, and perfect location, I can’t gush enough how fabulous our stay was. Sadly we only were able to stay one night but sooooo look forward to coming back for an extended stay. Wonderful hotel & experience!

It may seem small and perhaps slightly shabby from the street, but anything they produce is absolutely delicious. I have been craving their carrot cake pancakes for almost a year now, and can't wait to return. The foods are both classics and unique combinations of southern flavor. The staff (the owners) were extremely friendly and welcoming of us midwestern travelers. It was slightly crowded, but if you get there early you won't have as long of a wait!

This place is amazing!! It's a perfectly flawed hole in the wall with good service and ridiculously great food. Shrimp BLT, grits, sausage gravy...I've never had anything like it before!! If you're in Charleston, you have to stop here!!! Forget the overrated tourist traps, this is amazing food!!!

After seeing this place on the food network we wanted to try it. Checked the website and they had the sandwich we wanted on the daily special. When we get there they don't have it. So we got the chicken and waffles with peach chutney. The chutney was actually like canned peach pie filling and the waffle was average. The chicken wasn't seasoned and was over cooked. To say they least we were greatly disappointed. And the place is filthy. I'm not opposed to eating in a dive if the food is good. I give this place 👎🏻👎🏻.

On a friends recommendation we decided to try Dixie Supply. I am so glad we did. It doesnt look like much from the outside, but looks are deceiving! we Went Friday morning at 8am (right when they opened), and there were already a few people ahead of us! The state street biscuit is wonderful. Fluffy biscuit with a tender fried chicken breast and poached egg, smothered in sausage gravy and cheese. YUM! Also got an order of the blueberry stuffed french toast. They made their french toast with croissants, and the flavor was perfect. Cinnamon and vanilla, seasoned just right. The cream cheese filling and blueberries were just the right touch. I would go back in a heartbeat just to try more things on their menu. They werent excessively busy when we got there, but by the time we left they were packed!! Locals too, not tourists like us. You know it's good when the locals line up to eat there!!

We traveled from North Charleston for breakfast. After paying for a parking garage, and the 40 minute drive, we walked a few blocks to the restaurant. They were closed. Apparently, any time they book a catering service, they have to close the restaurant down. They don't bother to put this information on their website (we close when catering, call before coming, closed Tuesday for catering, etc). No. Nothing. This is an incredibly poor way to run a business. We decided to go to The Toast and enjoyed our breakfast there. If we happen to be downtown for breakfast/lunch, we may give Dixie Supply another try so we can actually review their food and service. However, for now they get 2 stars for inconveniencing their customers.

Great cafe option if you are looking for something quick versus the mostly sit down restaurants I found in Charleston. Just had a sausage egg and cheese and it was amazing. Sausage is homemade and great. Also blueberry muffin was amazing.

My fiance and I came by Dixie Supply for our first time to eat breakfast after watching the sunrise that morning and proposing during the moonrise the night before. Our experience was INCREDIBLE! The husband and wife who run the show do an excellent job of making you feel a part of their family and story......................................................................... I ordered Lilly's Stuffed French Toast (made with Croissants) and stuffed with fresh peaches and a sweet cream cheese. So delicious. The lady had fried green tomatoes with strawberries and a housemade marmalade. After two coffees the total came to only $16.61 making for a very affordable and valuable breakfast for Downtown ................................................................ In regards to the ONE STAR review below: The young lady who owner was speaking to about prep work was also his wife, who was pregnant at the time, and he was telling her to go home so she could get some well needed rest ......................... A little drama in the open, vulnerable kitchen shows that these two are as real as you can get. They met at culinary school and are now living the dream, together serving up some of the best breakfast in town. Check out the food, the people and the story behind it. You won't be disappointed : )

A bakery couldn’t be worst than that, the kitchen is closed, most of the pastries weren’t fresh, the croissants were store bought and almost an empty fridge! It was only the coffee blend and almond croissants that are good but overall, not recommended.

Great service and staff took time to answer menu questions. Outstanding food quality. Location in the heart of Charleston but so tucked away it is quaint and charming. One of my new favs!

Busy little place when we got there. The young red headed girl behind the counter was running the place essentially by herself and did an amazing job coordinating orders and tasks to maximize efficiency. She was cool as a cucumber. Very impressive and should be employee of the month or year in my opinion. On top of that the coffee and bakery offering were absolutely delicious. Will definitely revisit next time we are in town.

We came in close to closing time. Still service was good and quick. Nice selection of pastries. I had the chicken pesto panini and it was delicious.

The croissants here are what you’d expect in France. Light, slightly buttery and flaky. So hard to find in the US. The coffee is good as well. It is a bit on the pricy side but for this quality I’m fine with it!

Authentic French cuisine, with impeccable service, this cafe has it all. I recommend the Vol Au Vent and the Almond Croissant. Highly recommend the patio as well, and it is also family friendly.

Nice little cafe on the corner. Walk up counter ordering style with several tables inside and outside. The chicken Florentine crepe was tasty but a little intimidating in size. Split between two people, we were stuffed afterwards. Very heavy on the bechamel sauce. The Madeleine cookies are fantastic and worth getting with a coffee. Overall a nice spot, especially if you can grab a shady table outside, but a little cramped and chaotic when the place starts to fill up.

We have ordered from this Krispy Kreme several times and have not had any issues up until now. We ordered a dozen donuts online and we mainly ordered the ‘Fourth of July’ themed ones. It turns out they had none available except for two flavors we wanted and they just gave us six of each of the two. Some of the donuts were smushed when we got them and they did not taste fresh. Very disappointed and probably won’t be returning after ordering from this location many times before.

Was really looking forward to getting the Harry Potter Doughnuts, drove over there Tuesday morning to order some and they said they’re out, seems weird since this whole promotion started the day before. So my wife puts an order in for the HP doughnuts this morning at 7:15, the driver sends a message saying their machine is broken and they can’t make any but they can give us a dozen doughnuts and half can be HP, which again seems like a total lie. The driver also mentioned while he was there that the staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. We eventually receive the doughnuts and they’re all just the same doughnut. It’s not even about the doughnuts at this point, just a super unprofessional atmosphere.

Worse Krispy Kreme I have ever visited!! Order online whatever was available on the app. Drove 25-30 minutes and they tell me the don’t have anything from my assorted dozen. To cancel my order they made me go inside and wow!! The conditions of that store were horrific. There were NO donuts on display! Not even the little ones weren’t available. There were mishapen donuts on the machine. Donuts all over the floor and over 8 employees and that store was NOT stocked. I am glad I didn’t get any from this store. They need someone to put that place in order!

Came here a week ago, and the guy at the register was in jeans and a hoodie, no uniform. Literally looked like he just came off the street & started slinging donuts, not even sure he actually worked there😂. When I was checking out he literally did not say a word to me, even when I greeted him & asked how are you. Don’t come here unless you want the worst service & crappiest donuts. Barely any creme in the crème filled, looks sloppy made for the price. And never have the special occasion donuts, & are barely any donuts in the case. The worst krispy kreme location. Going downhill very quick, won’t be coming back.

I don't wanna be that guy, but I gotta. I placed a large order through the app to provide breakfast for teachers. Pick up was 6:30... I got donuts at almost 7. No specialty donuts I ordered were available. Donuts were not fresh... Cooked the day before. I got an apology with the possibility that I might get some refund but it didn't seem guaranteed. You guys should be top-notch but y'all are hurting yourselves with this level of service. I'm reporting this because you can be better.

GM I just left your hwy17 store and this is the 5th time I have been here and yall have been out of certain donuts. It’s ridiculous!! That’s like a chick-fil-A running out of chicken!!!! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that when you are running low then you cook some more!! And the people you have working for you have the personality of a tick!! Yall should just close shop and run food trucks of this is the kind of service you expect to provide!!!!!

I'm a ride share delivery driver. They were out of a certain donut the customer ordered. Instead of contacting the customer to let them know they just threw in 2 random donuts and handed me the order. When I questioned them about it the manager basically told me it wasn't their problem. I know I avoid businesses that care this little about their customers. Just letting others know that when they order, the staff could care less if your order is right.

Let me start off by saying I wish I would have written a review for them last year when I tried them for the first time! This place is absolutely amazing! Bought donuts for co-workers and they were a huge hit! I got the breakfast box and it was simply amazing! The manager was so friendly and you get to watch them make your donuts fresh and because they are cake donuts they are so super moist and delicious! Lisa gave me an awesome tip about microwaving then for 8 seconds if there were leftovers for the next day! They are getting ready to start their seasonal box of donuts which starts on Monday for St Patrick's Day! I've always been a Krispy Kreme kind of girl but Duck Donuts have won me over!!! Nothing says delicious as made to order donuts!

Don’t get an iced latte unless you only want three ice cubes and a warm drink. Couldn’t taste any caramel. Didn’t bother getting my money back, went down the road and got Starbucks, need better training, thanks

We don't eat donuts often, but I knew when we did we would get some from here. Stopped by for the first time finally with my daughter and it was great service. A few families were sitting inside this morning and the littles could watch their donuts being made right there. The donut itself was delicious, I really enjoyed the texture and flavors. Worth a splurge and they were extremely sweet to our daughter, we only went for the donuts but I would love to try one of their coffee beverages next time. The workers were getting it done and even took the time to make us smile, we will be back!

This is our favorite donut chain and it’s amazing. The donuts are customizable and served hot and fresh. We got the French toast donut and the cookies and crème. Duck donuts are heavenly especially with anyone with a sweet tooth.

BUYER BEWARE: The cookies are great, especially the key lime ones. Unfortunately, the guy working at the counter was a scam artist. He saw I was a young mother traveling with my family and thought I would be unaware of his scam. I was there on Easter afternoon around 2-4 pm. I was offered the deal 3 for $12. I gave the guy $20, and he asked my mother for change as he did not have any $5 bills. Then he acted to forget to give me my change due. This is a classic scam played on tourists. I saw right through his act. He had a finesse to it, so I'm sure he's played this scam on many people. This company makes great cookies, but I suggest they fire this guy before he scams more people. I would definitely not pay with a credit card at this location. I would suggest to buy online from this company over purchasing here. Too much risk of scam.

Oh. My. Goodness. These old-fashioned tea cookies are absolutely FABULOUS! I purchased them in several flavors from the booth at Charleston Market and then ordered a bunch more online. The Southern Sisters booth at the Charleston Market is one of my go-tos whenever I'm in Charleston. Such quality!

They use real butter...need I say more? Well, I will. They are beyond any doubt the best Benne wafers in the city! The lemon and pecan are great as well! Worth a trip to the market for these alone.

I’ve only tried the benne cookies and the lemon coolers. I recommend both. I also love their sign explaining the history of the Benne Cookies.

I found this vendor from a travel book. Actually the cookies itself is not so good. I only bought one box because I tasted all the cookies they have. None is good enough.

Unfortunately there are no tables or chairs inside or out to sit and enjoy your food. There was only 1 bench seat that can be used to wait for food. When looking online was looking for a quiet chill cafe to eat at and enjoy the area. I ordered the breakfast bacon, egg, cheese sandwich on a croissant but substituted the bacon for avacado for no extra charge. It was a really good sandwich! Only note is there was no place to eat it there.

I came in on Tuesday the 20th 2025. This is like my third time of coming into this place and today I ordered what I always ordered with the exception of it being on a baguette instead of a croissant. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese with no sauce on a baguette. When I got out to my car, I realize that there was no cheese on my sandwich so I went back in to ask if they could please put some cheese on my sandwich and he argued with me and told me that there was cheese on my sandwich. I think I know when there is cheese on my sandwich. When the cashier asked him to make me another sandwich, the look on his face was exactly that he did not want to make me another sandwich and he was rude so I’ve decided not to come back in and give this place my money. I have added a photo so that you can see there is no cheese on my sandwich and also I would like to add that when I came in four days ago and ordered the exact same sandwich but on a croissant there was cheese on my sandwich.

The absolute best breakfast place in all of Charleston!! My partner and I go here every time we can afford it, everything on the menu is delicious (my favorite is the B.E.P.)!! And the frozen meals they sell are stellar as well, highly recommend the bolognese!

I visited this coffee shop this morning and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The girl who took and made my coffee order was extremely unfriendly and seemed visibly annoyed when I made a simple request. Her attitude felt rude and unwelcoming, which is especially surprising in a customer service setting. A coffee shop should be a warm, inviting place, and that starts with how customers are treated. I hope this feedback encourages a reminder to staff about the importance of basic kindness and professionalism.

Been snacking on my baguette! Tasty drinks and pastries with the additional benefit of breads and local goods. All was good except the peach strawberry galette. Soggy and sour. I’ll ignore it as a seasonal mishap in my rating.

Shout out to Sam, Kate, Santos & the kitchen. I have Harriet’s on my Nashville Chill list, places to pop in when solo. They did not disappoint. It was super busy on a Sunday midday. The staff did an excellent job managing all the orders, large groups etc. I enjoyed a BEC (sub salmon), a couple hamantaschen, and a honey lavender oat milk latte and grabbed a cookie box and matzo ball soup to go. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend any thing. Tip: get there early because they run out of pastries and bagels. Get a flavored coffee they make their own syrups on-site.
