I really wanted to like Wilson Hardware given its location and the buzz around it, but unfortunately, my experience fell flat across the board. Starting with the drinks — pretty underwhelming. I tried a couple of their cocktails, and both tasted like they were pre-mixed or just lazily thrown together. No balance, no creativity. You expect more from a place that markets itself as a trendy bar and restaurant. The flavor profiles were either too sweet or totally bland. Honestly, I've had better cocktails at much smaller, less-hyped places. They weren’t terrible, just very average… and forgettable. The food was another miss. I tried a few of their small plates and a main entrée, and everything was just… meh. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing was memorable either. For the price point, the execution felt very phoned-in — like they’re relying more on the ambiance than the actual quality of the menu. The flavors didn’t pop, plating was basic, and overall it lacked the kind of attention to detail that makes you want to come back. As for the atmosphere, it was okay. The décor is nice and somewhat modern-industrial, which seems to be the vibe they’re going for. It does feel like they’re trying to be both a bar and a restaurant, and they kind of land somewhere in the middle — not quite succeeding at either. The music was loud but not unbearable, and the crowd leaned more toward the bar-hopping scene, even on a weekday. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn’t make for a very relaxed or intimate dinner setting if that’s what you’re after. Service was… fine. Staff was courteous but not very engaged. I didn’t get the sense that anyone was particularly interested in providing a great experience — more like just going through the motions. It wasn’t slow, but it also wasn’t warm or attentive. No one checked back on drinks or food unless flagged down, and that kind of set the tone for the whole night. Overall, I wouldn’t say Wilson Hardware is bad, but there was nothing — absolutely nothing — that stood out in a positive way. If you’re looking for a place to grab a drink with a group and don’t care much about quality, it might work for that. But if you’re expecting a food-forward experience, great cocktails, or standout service, there are far better options nearby. It just feels like this place is coasting on aesthetics and location rather than actually delivering a compelling dining or drinking experience. Verdict: Not worth going out of your way for. Plenty of better spots around.

The restaurant boasts modern and charming decor across three floors, including a rooftop area. They offer a decently sized menu with slightly expensive drinks. The service is friendly and efficient, with our food arriving promptly. We tried a variety of dishes including calamari, wings, sliders, and garlic shrimp. Overall, the food was average without standing out, but the drinks were enjoyable.

I expected better food and service for Sunday brunch as diners have a plethora of options nearby. There was an inordinate amount of time between the server coming to take the order to when the food actually arrived. It definitely teetered towards 14 minutes and it wasn't really busy for fathers day brunch. When the food arrived, I was shocked to find the sides of bacon we ordered was cold. The server did offer to get another order, I regret that decision as the flavor of bacon was overwhelmed by the suet and it was unsavory. The short rib hash and French toast tasted fine. The rest of the order of chicken and waffles and roasted cauliflower were mediocre. Will probably return for cocktails but that's about it.

We hosted our post elopement celebration here and it was a 10/10 experience! We highly recommend them for hosting events, very communicative, great flexibility and attention to detail, and the food from the buffet was amazing! Thank you so much for making our day so special!

Their Sunday brunch is good for groups as we had we had a party of 9 and were able to get a reservation the day prior by calling. When we arrived I was surprised the restaurant was so large and there weren’t a lot of other patrons there. We were seated on the 2nd level and it was a bit humid/hot up there likely because we were near the door to their patio seating. We were seated for 10-15 mins before my boyfriend went to inquire about our server. We received complimentary parfaits while we waited for our food to arrive so I thought that was nice. The brunch menu didn’t have a large selection of food items and we did make some substitutions to things ordered. I had the short rib hash; the short rib was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. The “hash” was actually shredded hashbrowns plated with the short rib. So I ordered a side of home fries with my dish. I also ordered a plain toasted croissant and made a pretty good sandwich with my short rib. My boyfriend had the grilled chicken sandwich and at first the server stated he couldn’t make the breast a fried chicken breast. But I asked if it could just be the fried chicken that is served with the chicken and waffles and they were able to make the substitution and the sandwich was pretty good. Great deal on the mimosa carafes at $20 per person we each ordered one. The mimosas were more champagne which we liked and we ended ordering additional carafes because we ended up staying well past brunch ended. We split everything 9 ways and paid ~$58 per person, so definitely a good value. I do think if I were to dine here again I would go with a smaller group so I could be seated on the first floor and I would try to go for lunch or dinner to explore a different menu.

Enjoyed the delicious brunch here on a Saturday morning. We were surprised that we were the only ones in the entire restaurant two days before Christmas. We ordered chicken and waffles, the breakfast sandwich, and the mimosa! Our wonderful server brought us over yogurt parfait as a free treat while we waited for our meals. Excellent customer service! Would highly recommend as the prices were not too high.

It smelled so bad. The rooftop bartender was so high it took him 30 mins to take our order. Drinks felt watered down. We didn’t even stay for dinner because service was horrible. Also we were the only one in there. Multiple red flags. Don’t recommend.

Happy Hour is from 4 to 7 pm, Mon - Fri. Went for Happy Hour and you can get a lot of food for a good price. Overall, the food was good, though it was slightly cold. There was barely any people in the restaurant on a Monday at 6, so the kitchen wasn't heating the food up properly. However, despite it being a little cold, it was yummy. Service was good too, had a really friendly waitress. I definitely recommend coming here for Happy Hour food! I didn't try the drinks so can't comment on that.

I thought happy hour ended at 8PM but happy hour ends at 7PM. I went during the day and they have nice views at top. The night and day vibe is totally different. The food was decent. Bar tenders smiled & were nice

This place was so fun. There was a great mix of people and three levels of madness. Thanks for the great time. Drinks were cheap, too. We enjoyed ourselves, and the crowd was very diverse. We will definitely be back again. They even have tvs with the games on 💯🔥

Don Titos Bar & Food is hands-down one of the best spots in the area! The atmosphere is always lively, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the drinks are top-notch. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service — especially from Jessica behind the bar. Jessica is absolutely amazing! She’s quick, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome the moment you sit down. Her energy lights up the bar, and she has a way of remembering exactly what you like. Every cocktail she makes is spot on, and you can tell she takes real pride in her craft.

Jess is the reason I come in every Thursday! She’s an amazing bartender who always remembers my go-to order but still checks in to see if I’d like to try something new. Her attention to detail and friendly personality make every visit a great experience. The food is also a huge plus—the wings during happy hour are always a favorite, the tacos (on and off happy hour) are amazing, and the nachos aren’t on happy hour but are absolutely worth it. We enjoyed this place. Food was pretty good. One of the draft beers did not taste right, but they let us get a different one. Seemed like it went bad. They had all the NFL games. I would recommend this place.

Drinks are good and reasonably priced. The rooftop is a nice view especially during summer nights. The spinach dip had 5% of spinach and mostly cream cheese ( I am assuming ) and cheese. Bartenders were friendly.

Good sports bar experience. We stopped in for a quick lunch while we were in Arlington. The staff was super-friendly. The men has good variety. The food was decent bar food. Nothing special, but not bad. The chips & queso was surprisingly good...highly recommend. There are lots of TVs, so we could see all the games at once.

Because of Google Maps images of the menu, I expected a veggie burger when I got there. They didn't have one, but they did have this tomato-mozarella sandwich that reminded me of a panini I would get where I used to live. I enjoyed it.

Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Open until late on weekdays. Has a rooftop. Enough for me to get back, but in addition, they also take reservations for big groups, have friendly service, plenty of clean restrooms, and prices are very reasonable. Will come again! The only thing to improve - bouncer could be a bit nicer.

I saw someone post about seafood boil and I was craving it for a week until I came to Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill. I was not disappointed! I was scared it was going to be too salty. I hate when food is too salty and I think a lot of restaurants seem to mess up that up but it wasn't too salty at all! We ordered the seafood boil, of course. You can pick from the already set menu or a la cart by the pound. We ordered 1 lb of clams, 1 lb of king crabs, and 1 lb of crawfish with the oh dang sauce at spicy level "hot." My tolerance for spicy food is pretty high and I don't think it was too spicy for me. It was perfect for two people. We had also ordered 3 fish tacos on the appetizer menu. The fish tacos are really good. I would def recommend them. The pickled veggies really made the tacos! Yum

Loved my view and my server Maggie was friendly and helpful. It wasn't crowded on Sat afternoon. I got the best seat with a view. My cocktail was tasty and only $9.

I got there early, before the rush. Pool tables are old, out of balance and bad action. But, the vodka tasted like vodka. And the music was fun. Seemed like the crowd, that grew over time, enjoyed themselves. It's a fun place, just don't expect competition pool, fun only. Long shots bend as much as you do after a night of drinking.

This was an amazing experience. I learned something new today on my first adventure there. I love that the bartendees were approachable, kind hearted, helpful and not greedy. The atmosphere of the setting was like an urban playground. It had casual night life energy as well as lights, flashing lights, and highlighter images or colors within the club/bar for the neon light excitement.

Very short about 40 bouncer was insanely rude to my friend and took both her id and her other cards on an obvious power trip. Felt very unsafe.

Honestly mostly good staff and bouncers but not remembering if your tab is open when they take your card being a throw out able offense is ridiculous the one bartender needs some anger management

Drinks are meh, but what really stands out is the horrible awful music. Seriously they need to exponentially improve their DJ bookings. Why do all of their DJs switch the song after 45 seconds??? I was there on Saturday night and I did not hear one song from this decade. Not all of us want to hear the same 2000-2015 top hits.

I would give this place a ZERO if possible. I went there yesterday for drinks and food and was WRONGFULLY accused of "throwing a drink" into the air while waiting in line for the restroom. I didn't even have a drink in my hand while in line. There were even bartenders there that vouched for me and said I didn't do a single wrong thing. The bouncers assaulted me and when I told them to get their hands off of me because they're not cops, they didn't listen. Needless to say I will NEVER be going here again. They can rest assured that I will file criminal charges against those bouncers, and file a suit against Spider Kelly's with the district court.

*Tater Tot Review Included* The happy hour menu has some pretty affordable prices of $4 beers and $6 tots. While they did try to make them “Totchos” the attempt fell a bit flat. The tots weren’t quite crispy enough to support the cheese and became soggy rapidly after being served. The flavors were good though, and if I ended up here again for a happy hour wouldn’t hesitate to order another

Warning/Update: We received our credit card statement and was charged $61 for our $36 plus tax and tip (we tipped 20%) purchase. SAVE YOUR RECEIPT OR PAY CASH!. We hadn’t been to Shirlington in 10 years since we moved away. However, we were back in town for a couple of days and found Dudley’s. We were there before 7pm on a weeknight and their Happy Hour Specials caught our eye. We sat at the rooftop bar area which was very comfortable. We both had food from the Happy Hour menu, my wife had the $5 smash burger and fries, and I had the 12” cheese pizza for $6. Craft Draft beer was $2 off which I also took advantage of by enjoying a Devil’s Backbone Vienna Lager. My wife opted for a non-happy hour pour of Bowman bourbon. The service was good, but our server couldn't be found when we wanted our check to pay. There were several TV’s on with the upcoming NFL Thursday Night game displayed on most of the TVs. I’d go back to Dudley’s for Happy Hour!

I won’t be going back to this establishment for a while, and I’m walking distance. We came to get a drink after the movies last night and the bartender completely ignored us and served other people. We were at the rooftop bar. The vibes we nice and the DJ, but the service was very questionable. We sat and gave him grace because we figured he maybe a little overwhelmed, but as time went he started severing new people that were coming to the bar and he would serve them first. When we tried to get his attention he ignored us until he couldn’t ignore us anymore. Then he finally did acknowledge us he told us to wait on moment, walked away (I think to make a drink and get menus), came back and then immediately served another couple that just walked up the the bar right next to us. I don’t want to make this a race issue, but this is something that was considered. I have been to this establishment many of time for years, so I would hate to think they would have employees that would represent or display such behavior. But I felt like I needed to express some of the feelings and thought that I experienced during this experience. I was not happy with the service at all and we left before we even got a water and we were there a while. As someone that was in this industry, I’ll give tips. If this was an honest mistake and the bartender maybe was overwhelmed, next time greet customers and give waters, especially if they are ones that you’ve noticed that have been sitting there for a while. It’s about customer service before the product. The job is to sell the service. Especially when you’re selling drinks, Customers are always going to drink and eat, but what makes them come back is the service and experience. Make that a priority.

Well, the bartender was amazing. I came in for lunch had some wings, and he was very personable and knowledgeable. I will be returning.

I’ve been a long-time customer at this spot and often bring friends here, especially on Fridays and Saturdays to enjoy the rooftop. Today, I invited a good friend from Maryland to experience the great atmosphere and weather. We started our evening at the rooftop, but moved to the lower level because of an event happening upstairs. At the downstairs bar, we were served by a very respectful and professional bartender who took our order for two Jameson drinks. We asked if we could prepay for two additional drinks to enjoy outside, and he said yes and confirmed he would inform the next bartender taking over. We were there when he let the new bartenders know about our prepaid drinks. After finishing the first two, we returned inside to get the remaining two we had already paid for. At this point, we were met with disrespect and confusion from the two new bartenders. They insisted we hadn't paid, and only after some back and forth did they agree to give us the two drinks we had already purchased. Later, a third friend joined us, and we ordered one more drink plus an additional three drinks, totaling four, and paid for all of them upfront. We made it clear we would come back later for the remaining three. When we returned, the bartenders refused to give us the drinks and falsely claimed we had already received everything. We showed them our receipt, but they continued to argue and disrespect us. When we asked for a manager, one of them claimed to be the manager but refused to help. We didn’t believe he was the real manager, so we asked for someone else. Thankfully, Abbi—the actual manager—arrived, and we explained everything. He took the time to listen to us and was respectful. While we are grateful for Abbi’s professionalism, the experience left us disappointed and disrespected at a place we’ve always enjoyed and recommended to others. The behavior of the two bartenders at the lower level was unaccept.

We really enjoyed discovering this place. It’s vary spacious, it has 2 floors: First one even includes a private room for special reservations; the second one is the rooftop, which was perfect for this summer weather. •Food was so great! Came by from an invite from a friend and it was slow up until it got later. That's when it got a be a place that you want to be if you are in Arlington. The bartenders doesn't seem to be true, tried and true mixologist so the drinks aren't much more than the liquor and chaser. Nothing special whatsoever but if you are in Arlington it's a place i would check out

This place hypes itself as a sports bar. I’m sitting here, writing this review on the opening weekend of College Football watching ND vs Miami. A top ten matchup. After asking everyone I could find about sound for the game, I was finally told there are too many people here for the music to switch to game audio. It’s fine to be just a bar and business should come first, but you’re either a sports bar or you’re not.

Ambar is a very nice upscale restaurant with a delicious menu, specially for Sunday brunch. They have a Gluten free/vegan menu, but our waiter was a bit wary about recommending anything, because, as she said, they do not take any care about mixing/cross-contaminating dishes. I really do not understand why they bother saying they offer gluten free options if there is no effort in separating a bit of the kitchen to make the Gluten Free dishes. The mimosas are nice, but served almost at room temperature. We tried almost all the dishes in the menu, and they are perfect for individual consumption. The tomato soup was excellent. The balkan kebabs were a bit raw for our taste, but everything was nicely presented. The only gluten free dessert is the granola, fruit and yogurt plate without the granola, but it was very nice and refreshing. The restaurant is modern and cute. Fast service. Good prices for the experience. Will visit again.

All the delicious food you could want in tasting size portions for 2 hours. Only had one dish I didn't care for (cheese pie) but really like the forest mushroom crepe. Reservations recommended, good spot for large groups.

I highly recommend this location. The food was delicious. There are two dining areas. I do not recommend the downstairs area. It was very dark. Everything that we tried was amazing especially the potatoes, the fried chicken, the waffles, and the mimosas. The food came quickly and we were very satisfied with everything that we tasted. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to try something different. I also recommend making a reservation. There is a parking garage located across the street on the corner. You can also try your luck at finding a parking spot on the street. However, most of the street parking is zoned so be careful.

Great restaurant with a lovely ambiance and excellent service. At first, it was difficult to catch the staff‘s attention, but once we did, the service became much quicker. The variety of food was impressive, and our brunch turned into a fantastic experience. I especially enjoyed the flavors of the Grilled Hanger Steak, the Salmon Benedict and the Caramel Apple Waffle on top.

A few friends and I enjoyed a lively Saturday brunch, and it did not disappoint. The food was both delicious and satisfyingly filling—we indulged in a steady stream of small plates, each one better than the last. Traditional and mixed berry mimosas flowed alongside, adding a refreshing touch to the meal. Service was attentive and well-paced. We ordered new dishes as previous ones arrived, which kept the experience seamless and the table never empty. There was a small hiccup with the mixed berry mimosa refills—one of us had to follow up a couple of times—but given how busy the place was, it was understandable. The atmosphere was buzzing, with every table occupied and a few groups sitting outside. That said, the noise level made it hard to hold a conversation without raising our voices. Still, for $43 per person for endless small plates and just $1 per drink, it’s a great value and absolutely worth checking out.

I've been wanting to try Ambar for a while and finally got to do so and had a fabulous experience. Between my husband and I we tried about 11 tapas and had a dessert. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful and not overly salted. Service was prompt even on a Saturday night and we didn't have to wait long for the next round of tapas to arrive. We left satisfied and full of delicious food. A couple missed opportunities for the restaurant: the waiter refilled my husband's iced tea but never asked if I wanted another glass of wine. Also when we ordered the dessert we weren't asked if we wanted tea or coffee.

$35 unlimited small plates is an incredible deal and allows even someone with a small appetite to try so many things. This is how food should be!! Here's what I tried: Cevapi --- TO DIE FOR, worth a return visit just for these two small kebabs Steak tartare --- excellent, nice tart flavor to balance out the richness Ajvar spread --- tasty, not as much garlic or eggplant as I hoped though Forest mushroom crepe --- very heavy and cheesy, a little too rich for me Meat pie --- lacking a little in flavor, would not recommend Throughout my whole meal, Ari was very attentive and came by frequently to check in. Really appreciated her cheerfulness and close attention!!

I came here on a random weeknight looking for decent food at a reasonable price. I was wrong on one end. Galaxy Hut was delicious yet reasonably priced. The atmosphere inside was dark yet intimately cozy. It felt a bit like your neighborhood bar/pub, as if you're suddenly transported to a small town in the Northeast. The staff were both friendly and informative on the selections. While they do take the 21+ restriction seriously, for those above that age, one can feel a bit like a kid again without the pressure of the outside world. After perusing the menu for a bit, I ended up with a Swedish Canadian sandwich and a side of Eggplant fries. The Swedish Canadian was surprisingly filling, yet felt light. I appreciated the meat-like texture of the meatballs, and the flavor was not overpowering. The vegan cheese had a fullness to it that reminded me a lot of fondue cheeses, but without the heaviness. Top that with the gravy, and it was both filling and comforting. As for the fries, they were delightfully soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It was a surprising amount, given the price point. I actually expected a bit less. All in all, without drinks you can expect to pay around $20 per person for a solid meal. Although, their drink menu was quite extensive on both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic sections. If you're in the area, or you can't stand the blandness of DC, or need a solid quick bite at a reasonable price, please come check Galaxy Hut out. It's worth it.

Just a short walk from the Clarendon metro stop is an incredibly unique bar with the most personable bar tender. I absolutely adore the nostalgic VHS collection and they always have a classic video playing- it gives us non-drinkers/designated drivers some way to feel included in the ambiance 🤍 The art decor, simplicity and mood lighting puts you at ease and is a great place to vibe. It's cozy and not too overwhelming. This is also a great spot for vegetarians as most of the menu is vegetarian friendly! Highly recommend!

Galaxy Hut is my happy place. The food is amazing. My favorites are the build-your-own grilled cheese and the totchos (think tater tots with nacho toppings). The vibe is dive-y with Pac-Man tables, a TV above the bar that plays old VHS movies, and weird artwork on the walls.

This place has best vegan bar food I’ve ever tasted. I love the different varieties of beer with the cool crazy names. I’ve been here 7 times since I moved to Arlington. LOVE IT HERE! They also play old movies which is pretty fun!

Okay if I’m being honest I wish they served more than just beer….BUT regardless the vibe is perfect and the beer selection they do have is great. Also the all vegan menu is appreciated if you have dietary restrictions. One of my favorite bars in Arlington.

Second time here, the same guys running the place as the first time we came. Joe and Nate are awesome, took some food orders close to the kitchen closing for us even though we were pushing it a bit. Food is fantastic, great beer list as well. Cannot recommend more as a great little spot in Arlington for food and drinks!

Very good bar/vegan food. Prices seem all over with place, with some items overpriced and some quite cheap. Example: burger for $16, but a generous plate of eggplant fries + dipping sauces for $3. In total, it was about $30 for a burger, fries and a beer for one person. Maybe I’m just not used to DC prices, but it felt expensive. Good vegan food, though, and fast, friendly service.

There’s something undeniably charming about First Down. Maybe it’s the unpretentious “hole-in-the-wall” vibe, the affordable prices, or the friendly, laid-back staff—but whatever it is, it just works. The menu is classic bar fare—burgers, nachos, wings—but the portions? Way bigger than you'd expect. The loaded fries, for example, came in a bowl so massive that I barely made a dent, but it was exactly the kind of greasy comfort food you want after a rough night out. What really sets the place apart is the service. Jerry and Talia are the kind of bartenders who remember your name, check in without hovering, and make you feel like a regular—even if it’s your first visit.

Fast, polite service. You can order by scanning the QR code at each table and it's super easy and a great application of the QR code system for menus. The food was brought out quickly and was great. I had the BABE Wrap with salad and I enjoyed it. Lots of TVs for watching sports as well.

Got the Nashville Hot wings and onion rings. The onion rings were average. The wings were small and drenched in a sauce that may as well have been ketchup. They weren't hot by any stretch, I wouldn't even say they were mild, just bland. The place is basically a very loud neighborhood dive bar. Incredibly brightly lit for some reason. Bartender gave me a free shot and seemed to forget ringing up one of my beers, so it has that I guess. 🤷

Do you like wings? Of course you do. Otherwise why the hell are you looking at eating at a place that basically is a wing place? Are the wings good? Yes. They are good. But the sauces and rubs are freaking delicious and has something for everyone. If you can't find a wing sauce that you like it probably says more about your mental stability than it does about these wings. Maybe you should take some stock of your own well being? Order some sauces. Some beers. Enjoy wings. Be a better human. Also? It's a dive bar atmosphere with people that love what they do. Enjoy that too. You're welcome.

We ordered burgers through Doordash. It's not somewhere I would order from again. It might be different inside the bar, however the burgers were okay. The French fries were not seasoned and neither myself nor my husband ate the fries. The mustard on my husband's burger was watery, I did not finish my burger and my husband finished most of his. He got mustard everywhere because of how watery it was.

I do not like bars, but I absolutely LOVE this spot. I don't do drugs so I won't be talking about the alcohol, but for those who partake I'm sure the drinks excel in every way they can. I am an exceptionally picky eater, to the point where it can drive me crazy, so color me surprised when EVERYTHING on the menu was perfect, down to texture, flavor, and presentation. Including the things I'd NEVER consider putting anywhere near my mouth. Like a sauce called "spicy maple?" You think a picky eater like me would ever choose that? No! But here? Of course I'll try it! Why not! Even if I don't like the flavor, the texture and presentation of everything is amazing, the same goes vice-versa. It actually baffles me just how perfect everything was. I have severe sensory problems with certain types of chicken wings and made a tiny comment about how I prefer flats over other shapes, and after that, I ONLY get flats when I order the amazingly made wings. They actually care, they actually listen, and it shows. My fiancée and I love this spot so much.

I was just hung up on 3 times in a row, and by that I mean I heard the bartender answer the phone and then *click* call ended. My persistence annoyed the bartender enough to answer call #4 just so he could tell me "I'm too busy to take your order." What an absolute joke this place is becoming. Clean house of your God awful staff, it's costing you money, ~$150 just in this one order and probably lost a few customers permanently. From the latest reviews, we're far from alone.

Diverse crowd. Great selection of music. Good location. Lots of parking around the area on the streets and a few parking garages within walking distance. Food was awesome. Calamari A++, Vodka Shrimp A++.

I have been to Mad Rose for dinner, drinks and happy hour. Unfortunately, the more chances I give them the more disappointed I am. From the owner all the way down to servers and doorman, the staff is rude, arrogant and incompetent. They have a great location, but are clearly in need of new ownership and management in order to reach the potential simply afforded it by the location.

Went here for Sunday brunch. Went for the buffet option which was better than I expected as far as buffets typically go. Liked the chorizo empanadas, truffle mac & cheese, MRT scrambled eggs, grilled potato salad, and mixed fruit tart. Everything else was pretty standard but still good. Service was good with quick refills on coffee and water. We made a reservation on OpenTable but there didn't seem to be a wait. I would come back here for brunch again.

This review is for a late Friday night around 11:00. My friend and I came to mad Rose. She had never been in Clarendon before, so I let her pick the place. I was hesitant to come here because of the bad reviews and because of the last time I was here for happy hour I was not that impressed. Upon arriving at Mad Rose, I had asked one of the door men if the kitchen was still open. He said yes, we proceeded to get our hands stamped and I asked the girl at the hostess stand if we could get a table and that we were looking to have food and drinks (meaning no hookah) They sat us at a really terrible location all the way on the other end closer to the post office in Arlington. Then we requested to be moved and they obliged. They moved us to a terrible table that we literally to ask people to move they had no chairs there so one of the "security guards" picked up two chairs and put it there. Our waitress could barely reach our table and of course knowing the people in Clarendon and their lack of courtesy refused to move for her. On a Friday night, yes a Friday night, they were not doing specialty cocktails or mojitos outside so we got rail drinks instead ($6 a piece). The drinks came in about 15 minutes and the waitress took our order.The waitress asked if we wanted hookah and we said no and she made a face. Also bottled water from Costco is $2/bottle at this point I made a face and asked, "Really?" My friend requested the classic burger and I requested the Gyro sandwich (that comes with fries) and I said no tomatoes or peppers. Our food came about 40 minutes later and I was given a flatbread; a flatbread is not a sandwich. I guess the waitress decided to change my order for me. Prior to our food arriving, about 5 minutes, the waitress asked my friend if she would like another drink, she said yes pineapple and vodka--a simple rail drink. I said I didn't order this and the waitress asked if she could take it back, "I said no, it is fine." It was not even hot, it was lukewarm. My friend thinks she got the bison burger. The waitress said my fries would be right out. 30 minutes later the fries finally arrived; 35 minutes later my friend's rail drink arrived. She didn't drink and I barely ate my friends because I had already had eaten the food that I did not order. I paid under protest and left. The same day around 4:18pm, I called management and explained to them what had happened, I talked to the manager and he took down the situation. The general manager was to call me, back. An hour later, no call. So I called again. I was told by the person who answered the phone that the manager is still busy and that he would call me back tomorrow (Sunday). I finally got a hold of the manager and explained the situation, he pretty much called me a liar and he said he was not sure how he knows I am telling the truth. He asked me if I thought I was a nice person and that I was not being professional. I told him that his establishment was poorly ran and I can see why because management was terrible. Never go here!!!

I miss the back deck, but the crowd here is getting better over time. The place is well kept. And bartenders are very accommodating.

Songs I had to listen to at Mad Rose Tavern in 2015: 'Last Resort' by Papa Roach, 'Why Don't You Get a Job' by The Offspring, and 'Nookie' by Limp Bizkit, a song I thought we as a global society had tacitly decided to pretend never actually existed. However, that gyro flatbread is the real deal, let me tell you.

Great place for food, drinks, music and dancing. Mostly 20-30 year olds frequent this place. Good for the single crowd but not families.

The event venue is super unique and the food is wonderful, full of style and flavor. The dishes are globally inspired and I tell you it's hard to find a place like this here . A great option for those looking to host an event or just have a good time w good food/drinks here in Arlington. p.s.: I'm a local fan.

My friend and I recently went here for her bday. What a fun atmosphere as I love art, and been wanting to taste their menu items. We went during happy hour, and the food was absolutely excellent! I am not a fan of oysters, but oh my their sauce was so delicious that I ordered more! Everything we ordered other than the vegetable chips were tasty! Customer service was impressive! Would recommend this place and look forward to our next visit to savor different menu items.

We enjoyed dinner and dancing at "Whino". The food was fairly good. Drinks were nice as well. Service was excellent. However..... The part we didn't like was a mandatory 20% gratuity tip that was put on our bill because it was an event. They charged extra to anyone that ordered food but never explained this before we ordered. We were only a party of 2 people which made no sense why we would pay extra just because of the venue. Mind you the venue wasn't free. We paid money just to enter. I felt cheated because they are just bleeding you out for money at this point. I mentioned this to the establishment and they stood by the extra fee. I won't be going back. My rating is 1.5 out of 5.

My low rating was for the food. Nothing I ate or saw on the menu was amazing, but I’d return for happy hour and the great service! We came here for our team holiday dinner and the servers/atmosphere were great! The food didn’t do it for me, but everyone that works here is super sweet. They went above and beyond to provide us great service, and it was appreciated. We will definitely be back for happy hour!

I have had the pleasure of dining here a few times. It is mostly shareable small plates. The prices aren’t too bad themselves. At night time, there is a DJ who played some really good music. There are also art works to check out. I loved the vibe and the atmosphere here. Taste-wise, the food was good as well. They give you a decent portion so that you can truly share it. I would definitely dine again!

This restaurant was very elegant Lee decorated. There were a bunch of art pieces hung up that were very abstract,modern at the same time. We sat at a round table very comfortably the view was very nice. DJ Gonzo was playing music which really set up the atmosphere vibe my 19-year-old daughter and I enjoyed our brunch date we will be returning because the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very fun and not overly too loud With the music choices and really liked the attention of the waitresses that were walking around checking up on us constantly.

Came in on a weeknight as part of a large group having a business meeting/dinner. This place is loud! We were seated in the “tented” bar area at ho-tops pushed together to allow us all to sit. It would have been better/nicer is they had a place to accommodate us all inside the main restaurant instead. The menu was decent and had nice variety, but I found myself not finding anything that really appealed to me. We tried a few things at the start, their crab claw appetizer was great, but would be so much better if it wasn’t fried. I had a similar dish in New Orleans once and it was etouffee style and was amazing. Their fresh baked rolls were very tasty. Their huge seafood tower was very appealing to many in our party and the shrimp I tried on it was spot-on perfect! My main dish was their spicy shrimp roll, which is like a po boy, but served on a lobster roll bun. It was tasty. Nothing special, but nice. I kicked it up a little with the hot sauce from the tower and that made it really good. Overall – Nice visit… Service was friendly. Execution was pretty good. But I can say I’ve been and I’d probably try somewhere else next time I’m in the area.

The food and service were great. The oysters were fresh and we definitely found a few we liked a lot. It can get expensive quickly, but this is to be expected with "Market" prices for some items. I will go back!

I thought the food here was very good. Everything tasted like it came from quality ingredients. I only wish there was a seared scallop option, because the only way to get scallops seems to be with the fried platter. Service was excellent all the way through the meal. The only time I thought it lacked was when we requested the bill. It was very long and I did see the servers just talking in the middle of the dining floor for a while, so that takes away from the experience a bit. The atmosphere was great. Lighting was a bit dim for mood, sounds were at an acceptable level. Overall, I’d say I’d go back here and I definitely recommend it.

You wouldn't think a seafood place would have a great burger. But the New England Smash Burger is outstanding! I've also heard great things about their raw bar. Service was very friendly and it's a good looking place. I'll definitely be back

Okay, I don't know why this place is only rated at a 4.4. they are practically a five. Everything was delicious. The ambiance was wonderful. We sat on the patio. Perfect weather in the shade, cocktails and hand. We were lucky enough to hit this restaurant during dining week. If you're not familiar, it's a fixed menu. Usually for 50 bucks, three to four courses. We started with oyster shooters and then moved on to cocktails. I had the soup special, a cold gazpacho with crab. For my main course I had the swordfish. For dessert I had the "s'mores" the s'mores was the only thing we ordered that I wouldn't order again. My significant other had the toastada, pork chop, blueberry cheesecake. Dinner was a little pricey but we expect that at this caliber of restaurant. Though we did save money on the dining week prefixed menu. They also have a decent happy hour that we partook in.

We have been to their DC location many times. We had reservations and walked in. First words were we don’t have a table for you. So not a good start. We ended up in the tented area which was fine. The service was less than stellar. The wine list really needs some serious help. The mixed drinks were not that good either. The first two items I wanted they were out of. The next one was not available unless I ordered the restaurant menu. They capitulated on that one. The food for the most part was good. But the start and ordering was less than acceptable.

I went to Whitlows DC for Super Bowl Sunday and had a Blast. I’ve gone there at night where it’s packed and more of a party scene so being there in the early evening was a change of pace. My friends and I received the best service from Michelle and Maddie. The second floor was packed with tables and they handled the rapid flow of business very well. I was impressed by this cause most bartenders and servers can succumb to the “weeds” but they kept it moving and were very organized. We had Jell-O shots, Boozey peach iced tea on draft and apps. Sadly I did not get a photo of the smoked wings,chicken wrap and jumbo sized jalapeño poppers but they were excellent. Great place, great staff and great Vibe. See you Around…Cheers!!!!

Came by yesterday afternoon and had a pleasant experience. We sat on the rooftop and it had awesome views of U Street. Service was great and we enjoyed the cocktails. I saw some negative reviews about prices which threw me off—we paid $42 for 4 cocktails which is very reasonable for the area. Bathrooms are a little confusing if you’re sitting on the rooftop—they are down a stairwell and to the left (not the same stairs you took to get up to the rooftop—ask the bartender if you get confused). Can’t speak to this place on Friday/Saturday nights as it probably gets packed and rowdy, but a Sunday afternoon happy hour was very chill. Some street parking but not a ton. Should probably metro or uber.

If I was a local, this would be my local spot!! We chose this place because we were looking for somewhere to watch football and enjoy a couple drinks and good food. It was a great choice! Sad we were not there for the Commander's game! Absolutely give them a try if you're looking for football tailgating energy!

I went to Whitlow's DC with friends for Trivia Night, which is, apparently, the city-wide past time here. Along with very tasty drinks, the bar food is exactly as it should be - delicious.

Love this place. I attended a private rooftop event and we had a blast. The food is good. The drinks can be a little watered down, so I op for wine instead. The staff is friendly and quick.

Jamie the bartender and Michelle the GM are reasons 1 & 2 for you to make this your weekend hot spot! These two wonderful ladies made my experience here in DC a one to remember. Got to check out Whitlow’s! You won’t regret it:) Best drinks on U street.

Popped in before a show at The Atlantis and was warmly greeted by a nice young man who told us about the daily specials. Forgot his name so my apologies. We had already eaten but the food looked amazing. We sat at the bar and were immediately engaged with the bartender, Jamie, who had the best attitude of anyone we encountered in DC. Not only did she tell us about the myriad of craft beers they offer and provide excellent service but she saved us a nice chunk of change by providing parking suggestions while we were in the area. Often times a city can be cold and ruthless but there’s a ray of sunshine at Whitlow’s on U street.

The food was fantastic and the drinks were really good. Normally, I love sitting at the bar, talking with the bartender about my spirit preferences, and ordering something off-menu. This time we had a reservation for a table, which was nice, but I missed that bar experience. Still, the staff was warm and attentive, and everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Overall, a great spot whether you’re dining in or just grabbing a seat at the bar.

Let me tell you about our experience at Salt. I had dinner at Salt after hearing recommendations from my friends who enjoy dine there. When we came in, we actually went to open road, then a nice host let us know that the door to Salt kind of hidden, you’ll see when you got there ( i liked it tho). We got a nice table and at that time there weren’t many people ate at the dinjng area so we pretty much had the room to ourselves. We started by the drink called Herbal essence (a must!), then appetizers Shrimp and Gnocchi. For the entree we shared crab cake and 7 oz fillet. All were delicious that I couldn’t ordered dessert anyway, i def will comeback and try more of the food and you should too.

I am always impressed with my cocktails from Salt. As a speakeasy enthusiast, they definitely leave a mark. This is probably my 4th time here and always remember the savoryness of the panna cotta but I will say, the food menu has lacked in flavor this time so I wont waste my money on food here anymore. Even the gnocchi I had a couple years ago and tried again this round, it was super bland. @explorewithdria

Bartenders and manager are fantastic and fun. I suggest sitting at the bar for the best experience. They had no idea we had a crummy day before walking in and they turned it around. Much appreciated. We were all laughing, and learning and enjoying some excellent cocktail presentations.

Our go to spot for celebrations over the past couple of years. The food is outstanding and very attentive service. If you're lucky they might have the ingredients for "girls just wanna have pho" cocktail available per request. The best drink I've ever tasted. If Rosslyn is too far, their sister restaurant in Reston Heirloom is just as good. 10/10!!!!

We actually came for restaurant week and ended up partaking in happy hour instead....darn, guess we will have to come back! This place is fantastic, from the staff to the ambiance and the food itself. Dennis, our server was polite but funny and gave us great reccs when we were inquiring about some menu items. Server "Roman" was outstanding—attentive, kind, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious, and the music created such a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. The bar professionalism was above anything I've have ever experienced. While our experience was impacted by a group next to us in a booth that became quite loud after a few drinks the group began playing cards—making it difficult even for our server to hear us—It didn’t feel like the restaurant’s fault, though I do wish a manager had stepped in to gently redirect the group to stop playing cards. They seemed like regulars, so perhaps there was some leniency because they did say, "we come here all the time". That said, I truly look forward to returning. The overall experience was wonderful, and I would absolutely recommend this place to friends. I recommend the fork and knife salad and short rib.

Every year (including today) the Ballroom has the most obnoxious and excruciatingly loud block party you can imagine, including a DJ that screams through an amplifier at an indifferent crowd. We live in an apartment complex on the same street. The music is so loud that our windows rattle and we can’t hear ourselves talk even though we are on the 6th floor. The party goes late into the evening, and we’ve had to call the police. There are people with sensory disabilities in our building who are forced to endure this, and we even had a neighbor break her lease and move out because of it. We’ve lived in Clarendon for three years and have gone to nearly every venue in the area except the Ballroom because the Google reviews are terrible, and so is this event.

Just would like to say special thank you to Steven who did an amazing job at security the other night making me and all my friends feel super safe!! He’s doing an amazing job. If I had my own bar I would definitely hire him as security!!!

I was there last night. It was terrible experience for me and my friends. We were treated terribly by the bartenders. Firstly, we bought 3 tequila shots which cost us 99$. I don’t know what kind of tequila shots cost that much. We’ve overly charged the last time. After that we tried to get limes from the counter, but the bartender slapped my hand and yelled and cursed us. I felt humiliated and embarrassed. I wouldn’t recommend anyone because the customer service is terrible. Unfortunately I won’t be back at this club until they improve their customer service.

That blond lady that runs the “vip and tables” section was EXTREMELY rude. My husband was trying to ask her a question and she was yelling at him not to lean on the table or railing (he was not at all) - he had to wait for her to stop screaming at him to ask if he could ask her a question. Absolutely unnecessary. We were trying to go out and have a fun night and she completely ruined our mood.

My experience was electric. I have no complaints

I had breakfast at Busboys and Poets on both mornings of my trip to DC and walked away extremely satisfied each time. The food was excellent across the board — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The first day I tried the Western Omelette, which was really good, and the next day I had the Chicken Chorizo Egg Wrap, which was amazing. The fruit tasted fresh, and the banana walnut muffin (served warm) was the perfect finishing touch. On top of the great food, the staff was very welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot worth visiting for breakfast in DC!

This is a great restaurant, bookstore, bar and open mic / poetry joint with great music (mostly 90’s of course 😎) Our server, Kevin, was very pleasant and was helpful in educating us on what they are known for and what we could expect from the various menu items. Thank you Kevin. You are appreciated! The vibe was on point! What a chill place to enjoy a meal, bookstore, poetry, some computer time or just a good drink. I definitely recommend stopping in and checking the place out!

This location has a nice cozy layout, defintely for community. Our waitress Courtnee was very pleasant, if I could pick her everytime I would. The food was good except for the omlet it had absolutely no flavor but I guess they would rather the patron season to their own liking so I had to sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper which I never do anywhere. Overall I would come back because I'm a fan of the brand but it wouldn't be my first pick.

There really couldn’t be a more perfect restaurant. I’m serious. The food was perfect, the choices were many. The atmosphere is totally cool- it’s not just a restaurant- it’s a voice speaking its mind. The service was great. Cannot go to DC without a visit!

Checked off my list of places I wanted to try and was not disappointed. The coffee was amazing and I recommend the two pictured but add vanilla syrup to the matcha, it’s perfect. The food was alright and service was a little slow. The pancake was worth these price so I do recommend one if you choose to go here. The books selection here was also really good. Worth checking out!

the food was fantastic. I had the catfish with collard greens and cheesy grits. The fish was perfectly cooked. The cheesy grits were very cheesy. Collard greens are good. It was a restaurant with a bookstore attached to it. Very cool! Lots of people enjoying reading books and eating food. Later in the evening it was more of a bar than it was a restaurant or bookstore . I was hoping to buy a book when I was there to read with my dinner ,but I was not the correct demographic for the books

Visiting from Los Angeles; this restaurant came highly recommended and it was delicious. The service was excellent. I love the decor and the bookstore makes it even more fascinating and different. While in DC you have to stop by Busboys and Poets! You will not be disappointed...those greens babee!!

This is my go-to restaurant in Arlington! Anytime I have friends or family visiting, I always bring them here. Last night’s dinner was especially amazing. Our server, Nikola, went above and beyond with his service, making the evening even better. My friends and I ordered a variety of dishes to share (as you can see in the photo), and everything was delicious. The pizza and truffle fries are always my staples, but I tried the mac and cheese for the first time—and I’m still dreaming about it! Highly recommend!

I have gone to liberty tavern before for dinner, and they have great pizza, drinks, and appetizers, so when I went to brunch yesterday- I knew it was going to be good. My expectations were exceeded by all means necessary. We got unlimited brunch and here were some of my favorites: the deviled eggs, chicken parm, chicken biscuit, the meatballs, pimento cheese dip, the steak, the Cesar salad, and especially the mini grilled cheese with soup. Our server (I think his name was Nick but I may be mistaken) was so kind, polite, and attentive. I almost went back today because I woke up craving the food. Big variety for the unlimited drink menu as well which is refreshing for a brunch place in Arlington! I wish I took more pictures of the food but unfortunately the phone did not eat first. Will be back for brunch again soon! (Dinner is also delicious but my socks were blown off for brunch)

The servers were great. The food was amazing. The inside and outside were really clean. It’s dog friendly (on the patio), and everyone was so nice. They have a kid menu my daughter loved. We definitely recommend coming here. To summarize, everything was great. We really enjoyed our experience. We’re definitely coming back!

My experience at the Liberty Tavern was nice. I had the field green salad and french fries. Let’s start with my faveeeee .. I love me some French fries and these did not disappoint! They were crunchy and seasoned to perfection! The chipotle sauce they served with them I was not a fan of but the ketchup was 🤏🏽! The salad was different .. I had the grains and greens and there wasn’t that many chickpeas in the salad and the labneh added a different taste, like the labneh wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either .. 🤷🏽‍♀️, could be my tastebuds haha. The star of my meal was the fries and I would go back again just for the fries alone lol. Our server was kind and attentive. She kept our drinks filled and our table was cleared fast too as we sat after eating and chatted. Also - sidenote, I ended up in the chair that Barack Obama sat in when he visited!

Interesting place with a lot of potential but the quality of food doesn't make up for the blandness. So, it's fresh, care is taken by the cooking staff, but seasoned for grandpa & grandpa. The real issue is just how loud it is. Almost impossible to talk during brunch.

My son and I was riding our motorcycles and needed some food and look up this placed up and what a great decision! The area was great and nice to people watch and enjoy the sights. The food was Hot and Good!!! I recommend this place and the staff was cool

I was so excited to go to this restaurant for my best-friend's birthday brunch. We had reservations for 9 and they were able to accommodate us on the top floor. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was AMAZING! I would go back in a heart beat. EVERYTHING was delicious. Beignets Shrimp Cocktail Short Rib Benedict Quiche French Dip

Great spot. The Happy Hour Specials make an early dinner worth it. The French Onion Soup (not on the Happy Hour menu) was delicious. Plenty of cheese and full of onions. The oysters were very fresh and a deal at $18.00. Next time I’ll pass on the Smoked Brisket Dumplings. The dumplings themselves were good but the barbecue sauce they were covered in was just too sweet. We also had the Sticky Asian Pork Ribs (not pictured). They had a ton of flavor and fell off the bone. Will definitely return next time for the oysters and soup!!!

I have been to Lyon hall twice before, both times for restaurant week, and their menu can’t be beat. Not only was it a deal, but the food was unbeatable. The bread is served fresh and warm with spreadable, salty butter. I started with the grilled octopus which was paired with arugula and a citrus. My boyfriend started with the tuna tartar and I tried it, which had crispy wontons chips seasoned and served with avocado and seaweed salad. The lobster roll bun was buttery, crispy, panini pressed with poppy seeds, and the lobster was fresh and juicy. My boyfriend got the NY strip, which was heavily seasoned (how we like it) and cooked medium rare to perfection. (It was a little fatty but for 12 oz of meat that can be expected) We ate inside and enjoyed the ambiance, the service, and the overall vibes. I always forget about this gem and need to remember to come more often!! (First 4 pictures are from my dinner last night, next 4 are from my dinner last year)

Met a group of friends for dinner. The space was quite loud at peak dinner time. My friends said it’s best to sit outdoors, weather permitting. Our server was very helpful and fully knowledgeable. My linguine was slightly overcooked. My friend, who ordered the chicken, said he would have appreciated more veg on his plate. The restroom is downstairs. Not sure if it is wheelchair-accessible.

Enjoyed this restaurant. Staff were on top of it without unnecessarily interrupting the flow of our large dinner group's conversations. The food was excellent, though my steak was a little red for me in some spots. Parking in the area is limited, though on a weeknight I didn't have a problem finding street parking a short walk away. One odd thing you'll notice if you use the restroom is that the men's and women's sinks face each other through an opening, so where you expect a mirror you may see a stranger haha. But overall, this was a positive experience and I would return again.

I love this place! Lyon Hall has such a great vibe — lively but still comfortable enough to hang out and actually talk. The mussels are a must (seriously, get them), and the fries are addictive. I’ve been here for both brunch and dinner, and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly, the cocktails are on point, and the atmosphere just feels effortlessly chic. Perfect spot for catching up with friends or a relaxed date night!

We went here for my birthday dinner. I made reservations almost a month in advance to be sure we would have a table. Our reservation was at 5 pm solely so we could have happy hour oysters. The menu we were even provided says happy hour oysters 1.50 each, yet our server informed us that was ONLY for the bar area where there were no tables available. I was pretty disappointed since I had picked them for the oysters, steak Tartar, halibut, and a chocolate cake dessert. Their menu changes regularly, so the halibut was no longer on the menu, we had to pay full price for oysters, and the dessert menu was entirely different than the one I saw two days before the reservation. We still ordered the oysters, and they were delicious, but if you go for happy hour, make sure you get the bar. I think it is pretty crummy to have it on the regular menus if they don't honor the happy hour price. The steak tartar was good but could've been more finely chopped. Capers would be better on the tartar than on the salad. I got the beet salad and French onion soup. The burrata on the beet salad was a tad lacking. The French onion soup was delicious, but it had way too much cheese, and I love cheese. Our table was super tiny, and they weren't very good at clearing dishes quickly, so sometimes we had almost no room for our food. Our server did a nice job, but she seemed very busy with too many tables to check on us regularly. They did provide a free brownie chocolate cake that wasn't brought by our server. For the price of the food, service and quality of the food could be better.

I had a great experience at Green Pig Bistro! We came in for breakfast and I ordered the American platter — everything on the plate tasted super fresh and well-seasoned. I usually don’t go for grits, but I decided to try them here and I was pleasantly surprised — they were creamy, flavorful, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. The service was excellent too — friendly and attentive without being overbearing. My boyfriend got a burger (he’s usually very picky when we go out), but he really enjoyed it, which says a lot. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Fantastic service and great food! We got buffalo pork belly bites, shrimp, the veggie plate and the ribs: everything was super tasty and served quickly. In fact, the ribs were so good, my friend took two more orders of those because she just couldn’t get enough. The waiter serving us was polite, very helpful and super friendly. Ten out of ten, highly recommend.

Super cute restaurant. We stopped in for a quick bit to eat. Had salads and the buffalo baby back ribs which were delicious. The Greek salad had an LOT of peppers and overwhelmed the salad a little. Our server was very attentive and made our experience great!! Would totally come back.

We came for happy hour and everything was phenomenal. Blair is an incredible and awesome bartender. He recommended us to order the fried shrimp and chorizo&smoked gouda fritters. Both were so crispy and delicious. I would definitely come back for happy hour!

From the moment we walked in, everything exceeded our expectations. The appetizers were absolutely phenomenal — the BBQ ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the chorizo fritters packed a flavorful punch, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, the pork belly was rich and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the pineapple cocktail was the perfect tropical touch to round everything out. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. A huge shoutout to Blair, who was not only our bartender but also our waiter. He was exceptional — attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel completely taken care of. We honestly couldn’t have asked for better service. Green Pig is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for amazing food and top-notch hospitality!

They moved into a new place since the last time I came through. It’s beautiful and really compliments the vibe of the food. Treehouse seating is a cute upstairs loft seating. Food is as impeccable as ever.

The food is amazing, and the portions are generous. The service has been good so far, but the place is quite dusty. Maybe it’s part of the vintage aesthetic? Still, it feels a bit uncomfortable to eat in a space that isn’t obviously clean. Overall, though, we had a great experience with delicious food and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back!

The food lacks seasoning. I don't know what I expected. The atmosphere is good. The place is clean and the service is good. They need to season the food. It was so bland. The fish and chips were bad. The potatoes were soggy and the fish batter was not cooked long enough. I like it crunchy. It was not. With vinegar and lemon juice it was edible.

We popped in on a Sunday evening and were delighted to find Happy Hour running until close! Enjoyed $5.50 glasses of wine and $5 pints of a local pilsner. We didn't have any food but the menu and items we saw looked fantastic! We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

All of the soups taste like my Irish grandmother used to make, rich and creamy. Shepherd 's pie was fantastic to the eye and better in my mouth.

I have had the chance to dine and drink at this pub on several occasions and each one was great. I would recommend this pub for its food and beer whether it’s for lunch, dinner or happy hour. The food is well prepared, tastes great, and the service is on par. The pub boasts ample seating indoors and outdoors. Parking is easy with the numerous garages nearby. I will definitely be going here again soon.

Very very pretty inside, spacious with lots of pictures of famous Irishmen, golden walls and vintage beer/whiskey bar mirrors. Back area actually feels a bit like a little pub. Staff is super nice and the bathrooms are clean. Corned beef and cabbage was very good along with fish and chips. Cool experience for a mid-upper nova price range.

First time here, it was so great. It wasn't super busy, we went on a Saturday evening. We sat outside, the vibe was great. We sat off to the side of the building, I liked the lights they had. The food was very good, the portions were good for the price I believe. I got a shepards pie, fried calamari, deviled eggs, and their chowder of the day which was salmon with rice. Everything was very good and the waitress was attentive. Will definitely go back.

The food here is EXCELLENT. So much so I had dinner there with friends and then a board meeting for my business. Our wait staff both times were on it! And the lentil soup was divine. I can't recommend any of the vegetable dishes at the bottom of the menu enough! The capers in the carrots! Yes please, and the potatoes, oh my. Parking is a PITA but the restaurant will validate.

My girlfriends and I were in the mood to try something new for dinner and ended up at Ser Restaurant! From start to finish, the service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely incredible. We ordered from the special Restaurant Week menu, which, surprisingly, isn’t part of their regular offerings (a real shame, because every bite was delicious!). We’re already planning our next visit to explore the regular menu. If it’s anything like what we had, we’re in for a treat!

My husband and I, along with our 1.5-year-old daughter, visited SER after hearing good things from friends. We’re big fans of Spanish cuisine, so we were excited to give it a try. The restaurant is easy to find, located right on the street with a spacious layout. They have both indoor and outdoor seating — we chose outdoors since we had our baby with us, and they provided a high chair, which was very convenient. The overall environment feels great for family gatherings or business dinners, with plenty of space for larger groups. We tried a selection of tapas and entrées. The flavors were good and authentic, but not particularly memorable or standout compared to other Spanish restaurants we’ve tried. Nothing was bad — just not the type that makes you think “wow, we must come back just for this dish.” Service was friendly and efficient, which we really appreciated. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for Spanish food in a comfortable setting with good service — especially for groups.

We had a great dining experience at this Spanish restaurant. The food was good, especially the paella, similar to the one we had in Spain. The drinks paired well with the food, and the place was well-lit with natural sunlight, making it inviting. The service was decent, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. We got the Punta Umbria gin and tonic and the marquis Manhattan. Then we did small plates of shrimp, bacalao fritters, tortilla, and blue cheese, and had dessert of the Monchego cheesecake and Café bonbon.

Lyon Hall is such a vibe! Cozy, lively, and always dependable. The mussels and fries are my go-tos, and the cocktails never miss. Service is friendly, and it’s the perfect spot for brunch with friends or an easy dinner date. Love coming back here! 💕

The food was absolutely amazing! The black bean hummus had an incredible flavor and paired perfectly with the warm pita. The crispy chicken sliders were easily the highlight—packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The Caesar salad was fresh and well-balanced. Our server, Natalie, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and gave us excellent drink recommendations that really elevated the meal. A great experience overall!

I loved this place the food the atmosphere the pricing everything was perfect. My friends and I visited for weekend to reconnect and we were not disappointed. 8 of us did the bottomless brunch and it did not disappoint. The black bean hummus is legit the best I have ever had. The taco bar was delicious and mimosas did not disappoint. It’s a must stop every time.

This was one of the best brunch spot I've been too! Jonathan was our server and not only did he have a great personality but he attended to our large party (and allergies lol) with patience and kindness. 10/10 for him. We did bottomless brunch, I had 4 brunch special drinks and the price was $54. I'll definitely be returning.

$5 food on the happy hour menu so I had to stop by. Jerk Chicken- 10/10: it had a salsa verde sauce. If you like savory food with a kick this was my favorite thing. Nothing else really blew me away. The corn pizza was cute and good w some marinara sauce to dip it in.

I tried this place recently and had a pretty good experience overall. The Dan Dan noodles were delicious (nicely spiced with a great crunch from the nuts and a satisfying balance of heat and flavor. On the other hand, the Cubano sliders were a bit underwhelming for me) smaller than expected and missing a bit of the punch I was hoping for. The service was extremely attentive, the staff came by quite often, which some might see as great attention to detail, though it felt a little over-frequent at times. Still, the food came out very quickly, which was perfect since I was starving. Overall, a pleasant meal with flavorful dishes, quick service, and attentive staff — I’d come back for the noodles for sure!

We stopped in to have dinner. Bought the whole Happy Hour Appetizers menu. Delicious. The service was decent but not great. Is what it is.

Fun concept of a monthly cinnamon roll, but the execution could use some work. The cinnamon roll was fine but nothing special. The roll was a bit overcooked. The edges were a bit too crunchy, and the middle, while softer, was still too dry. Sadly the proportions were a bit off as well. I'm not big of a ton of frosting however even for me this was not nearly enough. Especially with an overbaked roll it emphasized the dryness. The overall flavor of the base roll itself was good. This months flavor was thin mints which to me didn't work with the base cinnamon roll flavor. Personally the chocolate didn't play well with the cinnamon and the mint was not really noticeable. There was however a nice cookie quality. The roll did tend to be a bit too clawingly sweet. Overall, a fun experience. If I'm there again I would consider trying the monthly flavor if it sounds good but not something to go out of your way for.

Really good German Food, good beer selection, and a fantastic atmosphere. Watched Monday Night Football here on a work trip and it felt like hanging out and watching the game with friends because the customers and staff are awesome. Highly recommend if you’re in the Arlington Courthouse area

Went here for dinner a couple of weeks ago while in the area and the food was good. Went here on a Saturday night and there was no wait either. I ordered a southwest chicken wrap and it was very good. I would go back here again.

It's bar food so expectations are not as high when compared to a restaurant. This place is different. The Best of the Wurst was excellent. The choices of three sausages out of the many on the menu was difficult. That is an unfair thing to put onto the customer 🤣

Great bar! Would love to go back for their happy hour which is 3-6. I’ve been a couple of times and this time tried the shrimp and a berry beer of some sort. Shrimp was 10/10 on flavor. Personally not a fan of having the tail left on when tossed in sauce but worth getting your hand a little messy.

I had the best impossible burger milkshake at this location - wow!!! I love their trivia nights too. The outdoor seating is large and plentiful - perfect for group gatherings or happy hours after work. Their menu is superb.

We randomly ended-up here last Sunday night. They were very welcoming and we hit the tail-end of their happy hour. Decent view from the rooftop. Reasonably priced entrees, with nice presentation. Totally recommend! (Do not recommend their spritz cocktail; nasty tasting; and with no garnish)

This place was okay. Server was pushy for bottomless tacos. Misunderstanding on happy hour downstairs when they sent us upstairs. Empty but nice place. Draft beer was warm. Minimal air conditioning. Had a machine to add more but was still warm.

food wasn't bad cocktails also but we have been seated in the MOST stupid place you can imagine even though half of the second floor was when we got there (we had reservations) and there was no waiter assigned for that table. every once in a while someone new was reaching out asking if we need something. it felt like we were completely abandoned in a corner under the stairs and 2 guys were folding napkins and cleaning silverware all the time right next to us. NOT a good experience AT ALL

We visited the rooftop for happy hour and it was ok. The rooftop itself was very cute and had a great vibe! The food was just alright- the pork belly tacos felt kind of like a salad there was so much watercress on them and I think they forgot to put the pico de gallo on them. The nachos were nothing special and just ok. The waiter also disappeared and there was about an hour where no one checked in on us. We ended up having to walk up to the bar to order more food

Enjoyed a nice happy hour, but it was only available at a tiny bar, and was lucky to find a spot. Drinks were good but tacos tasted great! Also the sangria was pretty good too!

The food itself was ok. But the service wasn’t great. We asked for WiFi access. Instead of saying that it wasn’t available, the waiters kept going back and forth and even provided a wrong WiFi password to stall us. Also, while I understand it’s a Mexican restaurant I think it’s quite rude for waiters to speak Mexican language over guests who are obviously not Mexican.

Went here the other night for happy hour and it was a great time! Great happy hour deals - the mushroom tacos were delicious and the margaritas were pretty good! The rooftop has a really nice vibe, especially during the summer. Our server Guesh was awesome!! Would definitely come back for their other weekday deals and to try their sangria!

Just went to a Yale function there. The place is retro fun. The food is surprisingly good. Order the smash burger and the sweet potato fries. The lava cake is delicious. Parking is a bit challenging.

We had a great time and great service. The food is what you'd expect from a bar pool hall - great with a few beers. Prices are good and they have a good selection of drafts and imports. There are six pool tables, a ping pong table, a shuffleboard table, and a few arcade games so there's something to do for everyone. We will definitely be coming back another time.

There are like 6 pool tables in this "pool hall" and every night is league night. My friends and I were there for a long time on Tuesday night and never got a chance to play. We didn't come for the food and I did not eat, but as the wait for a pool table dragged on my friends ordered the pulled pork sandwich and half smoke and both looked pretty good, therefore the 3 stars.

7/3 1:15pm the older lady behind the bar, she’s brunette with a hoop nose ring had such an attitude that it almost made me hesitate to go up there and request another drink. Upon coming in I could tell she was already pissed off about doing her job and almost dragging herself to the counter. My boyfriend and I spotted the minute we opened our tab. We get our second round of drinks and as she sees him approaching she gets up again like she’s dragging herself “what a burden” it seems like with such an upsetting face. Totally killed our mood because we hadn’t been here in so long and looked forward to it. Left around 2pm spending about $66 to just be there for a short amount of time and leave because of this. Mind you, it was dead… there was only us 2 and one other person playing pool so not sure where this attitude was from. Would much rather have saved that $66.

On busy nights it takes a little longer but they get you to a game table as quickly as possible. The food was okay, the drinks are pretty good/strong AND we have gotten our fav jungle table both visits and I love the atmosphere there. It's fun as hell! My fav spot to let loose and leave your worries at the door. Staff is always friendly.

Love the fries at continental, but this grilled cheese was not it. I appreciate how cheesy it was on the inside, but it was too hard to taste with the overly cooked outside.

It’s more a 3.5 but rounding up to a 4. The good was pretty good. We tried the tandoori salmon, tandoori chicken and paneer pizza and all of it tasted pretty good. The food took a very long time to make it to our table and by then felt not worth the wait.

W visited this restaurant with my family visiting from Delhi on March 23. We were a group of 7 with varied age groups. The staff at the restaurant was super nice and accommodated our dietary needs. I want to give a special shoutout to Laxmi. She was very attentive and responsive. Food was top notch and everyone was happy in the group. Thank you for impeccable service and hospitality!

This restaurant serves some of the best Indian cuisine I've had in NOVA. They thoroughly season their dishes and the proteins are always tender. They offer a great variety of classic Indian dishes with vegetarian options clearly labeled. Their mild spice level is a safe choice but their medium spice level enhances the flavors without being "too hot." Their servers are consistent and attentive. The restaurant is very small and has limited seating- they stuff you in tightly with limited privacy or room to move. During the late dining hours, the restaurant can be extremely dark which makes it hard to read the menu. Parking is extremely limited with very few paid street parking spots. The restaurant is conveniently located across the street from the Clarendon Metro Stop so it's easily accessible via public transit.

We were very excited for the Spice Kraft Easter menu, we were actually the first ones to order it. It was delicious, good portions were generous. The dessert was amazing. Sweet and flavorful!!!

Food is delicious to begin with, but staff was very accommodating of adding an extra ingredient—eggplant—to the chicken masala pasta. Highly recommend!

This was our first time here. It will not be our last. We ordered Samosas for appetizer and they came to the table hot and fresh. They were huge and tasty. For dinner I had the lamb biryani and my husband had the lamb Rogan Josh. Oh my! Both were amazing and flavorful. We loved that we could choose a spice level. Garlic naan and mango lassi were both good as well. The place is on the smaller side so while reservations are required, you may want to make them if you have a preference of seating, especially during their happy hour.

Love this place! They have many gluten free options so that helps but the servers are always kind and even when they are busy they find a table for you. Their mixed grill plate (can't remember the actual name) is a steal with a fair amount of meat and only $25. They don't do full Indian spice but if your order hot you will actually get a kick so be careful if you're not big on spicy.

The BEST nachos I’ve ever had—hands down!! The beef chili on top is absolutely unreal—so rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. I can’t stop thinking about it! Seriously, it’s the best chili I’ve ever tasted. We also had the Moscow Mule and WOW—perfectly balanced and super refreshing. They even make their own ginger beer, and you can totally taste the difference. So fresh, so zesty! And the coldest beer 🍻!!!! The vibe is beautiful, and the service makes it even better. Jack, the bartender, is amazing—so kind, welcoming, and really knows his stuff.

Dogwood is a popular spot any day of the week, but Tuesday nights really shine thanks to their Tuesday Night Raw Bar! If you're craving a seafood fix, this is the place to be. When I went, the service was excellent. The staff were incredibly attentive--at times, two or three team members checked in to make sure we were taken care of and never left with an empty glass. That said, I've also been on other Tuesdays when the bar was packed, and it took a little longer to get the bartenders' attention. Just be patient--they're working hard, and they'll get to you. The seafood is delicious, and the prices are hard to beat. If seafood isn't your thing, no worries--the full menu is available with plenty of other options.

The menu has a nice variety, and I loved the shrimp and grits I ordered. The flavors were rich and comforting without being heavy. The cocktail menu was fun too, with creative options and classic favorites. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the night even better. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it did get a little noisy as the night went on, and it was a bit tight seating-wise. But overall, Dogwood Tavern is a solid choice for great food, tasty drinks, and good vibes. I’ll definitely be back!

Nice place to take your family or meet friends, or watch football. Good options for kids. We tried philly cheesesteak and chicken finger (kid's menue, called like "i'm not hungry!"). It was very good. The staff was responsive. We sat outside for a nicer weather. It was also lighter than inside.

The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes the experience even better. Perfect for a casual dinner, drinks with friends, or weekend brunch!

This is where my French Onion Burger used to be. I assure you, it was delicious. The waiter even came around at the end of happy hour to make sure our glass was full before it ended. As an elder millennial, this is my kind of place... where the conversation is louder than the music, and the food is at least as good as the beer.

Dogwood is one of our favorite eats in Falls Church City! We’ve eaten here numerous times, as well as have ordered food to go from here. The service and food are always solid. We returned here tonight and Caroline was our server. She was very attentive and checked on us several times. Hubby ordered the coconut salmon platter, whereas I had a single crab cake dinner (essentially a crab cake sandwich without the bun) with coleslaw. Both dishes were delicious!! We ended the dinner by sharing the banana bread pudding with a side of vanilla ice cream. We look forward to our next visit!

Had a good time overall, been a couple times over the years and is a fun environment from hangouts, to watching games, and live music. Their big Pretzels are great and have so many good options as well as a wide beer and drink selection! Their Buffalo Chicken pizza however, had zero cheese on it despite being mentioned in the ingredients description and just wasn’t very good. Added bacon to it and found myself disappointed in the quality and overall cost.

Hands-down a great place to visit in Ballston. Fills an important niche for the area and at a price point that will make everyone happy. Plenty of indoor seating and screens. Definitely a good place to catch a game, although I recommend arriving 1 hour ahead of time to get a table. Shockingly good brunch options.

A friend suggested Bronson Bierhall on a whim, and I’m so glad he did. The moment you walk in, the long communal tables and lively chatter transport you straight to a warm, German-style beer hall—only here you get 16 taps of crisp, well-poured brews, ranging from traditional German lagers to local Virginia craft beers. I grabbed the giant Munich pretzel with tangy beer cheese and mustard—comfort food at its best—and washed it down with a smooth Paulaner Helles. Our server was not very attentive due to the crowd. Overall, Bronson Bierhall feels like a friendly gathering spot more than just a restaurant. The blend of hearty German-American classics, solid beer selection, and cheerful atmosphere make it recommend for anyone craving big flavors and big fun in Arlington!

The MAC pretzel was HUGE! If you like pizza, order this. This place is so unique and busy! So many people kept showing up but there is a lot of seating inside and out. The portions are huge so we will have to come back to try something different.

I've generally always liked Bronson bierhall. They have good beer! And variety! And pretzels! But last night I visited and the dog friendly atmosphere was unacceptable. There was a dog on the table the entire time I was there, not to mention the patron who felt so comfortable as to let his pit bull off leash in the outside seating area on a busy night. Not only is this gross and unsanitary, it's against VA health and safety code. I love dogs, but not like that.

Had a great time hanging out with friends last weekend. Bronson is typically a popular location; so I was glad we were able to find a table. They do take reservations; so something to consider if you are planning a visit. We ordered a couple Dunkel beers, giant stuffed pretzel with jalapeños, tater tots, fries, and sausages for the table. One of my friends also ordered a salad, which she said was good. We enjoyed all the food and beer. We also played a couple board games, which they have several stacks of near the kitchen. I'd definitely come back. Thanks for a great experience!

I come here every few months for a meeting in the evenings on Thursday nights. The place is always packed! It's pretty, loud so it could be difficult to have a casual conversation without having to yell! The only thing that I've ever gotten there to eat is the Nacho appetizer and it is really really good.

Horrible establishment. Bartender towards the pool table incredibly rude. He was a heavier set male with a backwards hat treating a customers very poorly. He was cold and avoided us. Would not recommend. We were not disruptive but the bartender was mean the entire time. Around 1:40 am he had a horrible tone and attitude while yelling at is to tell us to leave despite the bar closes at 2 am. DO NOT GO.

Epic local bar. Great people, great staff, the best bartenders. There is a secret menu that has "The Jasper Power Burger", definitely recommend if you want a unique spicy burger.

This was my first time at this Carpool location and it happened to be for a public networking/social event my group was hosting. What a great experience we had! We were given a designated space to hold the event in and the bartenders had no problem attending to our section and other patrons of the bar. Beer selection is great and the food is good. I can't thank them enough for a great experience.

Really cool bar with fun games, good tvs for sports, and great drinks that are a solid price! To top it off, all the bartenders are amazing! Mel, Mike, and Liz provided great service all night. Will definitely be back here!

Supreme burger was great. casual sport bar. cool retro touches in the decor. tvs everywhere. bar activities/games everywhere. indoor/outdoor. but no table service that evening : / still had a good time.

We really enjoyed this place. We had the wings, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, and vanilla ice cream. The wings were great. Bartenders were really good. Great place to watch a game. I would definitely recommend this place.

Night life is good here, great bar food and $2 darts all night one time flat fee. They also have pool tables, 4 to be exact. Food is reasonably priced for a late night place with no cover charge. Nice crowd but can get crazy quickly so definitely come with a group to be safe. Middle age to young crowd. Nachos are terrific for $10. Cheese fries are good but a little soggy. Other than that, restroom is clean, parking is plenty, bartender and service are cool. Minus one star for the "drunk" male crowd that makes it a little crazy. Oh and no healthy food whatsoever.

Went here on a Friday for an early dinner. Happy our pricing was good. I’m from the Midwest so critical of any pizza. Overall a good thin crust slice. Apps were delicious. Nice selection of ciders and beer. I appreciate the causal vibe.

Food was good. The pizza crust and sauce is Italian style (thin, light), and we got the Butchers Special which comes with all the meat. There were a lot of toppings, including cheese (which we loved), and those toppings were high quality. Salami was really good. The seafood linguine was also good, and the quality of shrimp was great. We were not huge fans of the spinach and artichoke dip, which was very milky. It didn't have much spinach, artichoke, or cheese, so there wasn't too much flavor. We had a reservation for 8:45pm, and they closed at 10pm. They did last call for food at 9pm, so we felt a bit rushed. We had to order our dessert at the same time as our entrees, and I think they made them at the same time because by the time they brought the hot dessert to our table, it was room temperature, including the cast iron skillet it was cooked in.

This is an amazing restaurant and bar in downtown Arlington. They have a full menu of American style food to choose from and a long list of draft and bottled beers. There is outside patio seating available which makes it handicap friendly. It is centrally located within walking distance from most major hotels in the area.

Everything here was just ok. We ordered two pizzas and both were just alright, they were thin crust and each one was personal sized. Also ordered the penne with vodka sauce and it was definitely over priced. The service was very slow especially because we came here on a Wednesday and it wasn't super packed.

They have one of the best social distancing set ups in the area. Food is great. Drink selection is excellent. And don’t forget to check out the provisions menu online. I get a monthly butcher box from them that has a great variety and top quality.

We've been to the one on Alexandria and this one was a lot the same. I had the pizza which was not bad, I'd put it middle of the pile for me and my wife had a salad which she liked. Lots of beer options and a cozy open concept place. It's mostly street parking although there did look to be some public garages nearby. It was Sat and they apparently only serve a more limited brunch menu rather than the full lunch menu which was disappointing. Pricey, one pizza, one salad, one soft drink and a water was $36 and just an OK meal.

I went for a beer during happy hour. It was not very busy. Still took forever to get served at bar. There were only two other customers. Beer was more expensive than most places. So, I left after one beer and went across street. Not sure I will be back.

Great spot for breakfast in my opinion. The prices are decent, but the service is slow due to the FRESH made to order food. This is not a fast food rush type spot. They are quick with some items but the more complex meal items they are making from scratch and you can taste it. Great to grab coffee and beignets or a biscuit sandwich.

This place is busy! Definitely order ahead. Breakfast sandwich was kind of small but perfectly proportioned. Think the bread type could’ve been more inspiring. Iced coffee worked its magic on me. Perfectly sweet but not too much. I’ll need to plan to go back to try their beignets and other treats.

A nice little corner brunch shop. Staff are polite and the food is delicious! Try their Louisiana style French beignets and biscuits! They are delicious! Coffee and hot chocolate are good as well!

Omg. I don't even know where to start. I've had beignets in New Orleans (Cafe Beignet) and the ones from Bayou Bakery definitely satisfied that craving!!! The mufaletta was everything I could ever want in a sandwich. It was piled high with quality meats, served on a delicious roll, with mayo and yummy olive tapenade. It was bursting with flavor, and definitely one of my new all-time fave hot sandwiches! I was torn between ordering this or the Arm Drip (roast beef Po Boy, looks similar to a French dip). I compromised and ordered the mufaletta with a side of the gravy that comes on the Arm Drip. (They don't actually have the option to order the gravy on the order online menu. I requested a side of gravy in the "notes" section (alone with extra mayo). It didn't occur to me that they have more than one type of gravy, ha! When I arrived to pick up my order, the lovely human who greeted me (Karla) asked me which kind of gravy I wanted, and was able to quickly add a small cup to my order for just $1. I dont expect much as far as customer service, because I know first-hand how rough it can be to work those jobs. You'd never know it based on my interaction with Karla. She was all smiles, extremely friendly and personable. It felt like having a conversation with a friend as opposed to a business transaction. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I cannot wait to return and try more items. I definitely want to dine-in sometimes as well. The seating is somewhat limited but its got a cute ambiance. I definitely need to try their baked goods sometime. Oh! They sell yesterdays leftover baked goods for $2! How fun! Love that, because not only do you get a good deal with the "old" pastries, you know everything else is freshly baked that day! You can tell a lot of love is poured into this place, and the staff seem happy, so not only is it good for my taste buds, it's a place I am happy to support. Do yourself a favor and go try them asap! ​ What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, memorable, a place to write home about! A must-experience. Someplace I would love to reccomend to tourists, and visit myself again and again. 4 is great, somewhere I'd love to return again and again. Back-up reccomenation for tourists. 3 is good. A solid option if I am in the area. I may reccomend to locals, but would probably leave it off my list of reccomendations for tourists. 2 is ok, but only because it a great value, unique, and/or convenient. 1 means I would not return

This place is too small. The line wrapped through the cafe and made moving about difficult especially with the extra tables they have. We got a breakfast sandwich with ham and egg on a roll, a sandwich with sausage and egg on a biscuit and a seasonal scone (chocolate cherry). The roll sandwich was good but it was also the size of a slider, which made the price seem outrageous. The biscuit was a typical biscuit breakfast sandwich, we should have gotten some cheese as the biscuit was a bit dry. The scone was like the person that made the filling burnt everything.

My wife didn't love the flavor of her latte (but everybody has different taste preferences). The muffins and scones were enjoyed by all in my family. Service was good! Would definitely come back on next visit.

One of our favorite spots for late weekend breakfasts. Biscuit breakfast sandwich with bacon is tasty, biscuits and gravy are savory, and the "Hungover Hog" is a filling and delicious meal. My fave coffee is the lavender honey latte. And the beignets? Oh my God THE BEIGNETS. All warm and fluffy and generously dusted with sugar. So, so good. Love the vibe, and the staff is always efficient yet friendly. Keep it up, y'all!

Overall a nice place. Went for a comedy show which was great. The office chairs are comfy and the wait staff friendly. Did not order any food or drink other than cups of water, but the smell of the food nearby wasn’t giving us any push to order. The burger someone ordered reminded me of school cafeteria food sadly by smell and look. The popcorn oil / butter needs changing - it smelled stale and old. The overall vibe is a very relaxed one and there was parking out back near the McDs and lots of food choices nearby.

My wife and I came here to see Tony Baker. Definitely an older building in need of repair but the chairs were very comfortable and the set up and layout of the theater provided lots of space and leg room. Food and drinks were very good and the comedy show was hilarious. Tony Baker is a top tier comedian and his host and the other comedians in his line up were great.

Worn but effective cabaret style set up, good to see classic theater put to goid use. Understand it's a tough venue for stage performances, as, as an old movie theater, it wasn't constructed with a backstage area.

Rachel Feinstein show was great! Reasonably priced tickets and I appreciated being able to move tickets to another night when a scheduling conflict arose. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Older venue but chairs were comfortable and view of stage was good. Food was fine. Nice experience. Thank you!

Overall the venue is disappointing. The furniture, chairs and bathrooms are all very old and run down. The food is average at best (although the pretzels are great) and the service is spotty. Our waitress was very disorganized, seemed confused and struggled to input basic orders into her tablet. There is also a lack of a security presence to keep patrons and talent safe. Ownership really needs to put some money into a large scale renovation if they plan to attract good clients.

Was just here for a comedy show. The whole food situation in there is trash. Servers approaching patrons throughout the show to take orders and with the SLOWEST service ever. Waited for over 10 minutes for a simple order of chips, asked for a refund, and was told I would get them "on the house." Guess what was on the bill? And guess what will be disputed by the bank? Great show but LEAVE THIS LOCATION BE, ARTISTS!! Would give 0 stars for the service if I could. The actually show is what saved this place. Will not be returning and will be telling everyone I know to avoid.

It was good to see the draft house is still here and still a place for comfy seats while being entertained. Michael Kosta was funny and even let us take photos (and quick chat) with him afterwards. The prices for drinks and food are a bit elevated but I recommend eating dinner somewhere else. Stick to snacks.

The food is good. It is very affordable. The service is amazing. The atmosphere is a vibe they have games you can play. You can watch the games you can interact with other people the way the tables are set up.

Seat-yourself setup with QR code ordering. We stopped in for a quick beer and unfortunately ended up with one of the foamiest pours we’ve ever seen (see photo). The beers also had a strange soapy aftertaste, which was quite a letdown since we were looking for a fun brewery atmosphere for a few local brews.

My company had a private event here during lunch hours. The staff was very friendly and the resturanunt it's self was very open and aire. That being said you order from the QR code or by placing your order at the bar. There is no service per say. If you want a refill you must go get one because no one is gonna ask if you want one. Make sure you take note about the table number you're at. Because if you're not there when your food arrives it's up for grabs because they won't know who the food belongs too. Don't forget to add a tip to your bill for all of their had work. The bar seemed to have a couple of good selections. However, I can't speak on their selections because we were not here for a drinking event. But if you do drink, don't worry. You kind ride the elevator down incase you're not good with stairs.

Went for happy hour two weeks ago, it was okay. Food was nothing special but they serve mango cart beer which is my favorite. It is located on the 2nd floor. Even on the warm day we visited the windows were closed. Nice scenery tho. Would try again maybe on trivia night when it's a little more lively.

Nice Crystal City bar—good for any occasion. Large bar allows easy service and large groups. Nice views out the 2nd story windows. Large beer selection too.

Pretty good food, service just so so. Draconian hours. Overall speaking, I am willing to put up with the shitty service for the good food. I took a large group to come and eat the restaurant kicked us out on the dot. Usually restaurants would give some leeway and don't just show their patrons the door at exactly shutdown time. The 8PM shutdown time on weekends is kind of difficult, given that we were trying to enjoy a good meal and coffee afterwards. I'd at least give 30 min leeway before kicking patrons out.

Nam-Viet Restaurant is a hidden gem in Clarendon with delicious food at affordable prices. My favorites were the grilled pork and the beef curry — both full of flavor and perfectly cooked. It’s also one of the few Vietnamese restaurants still standing from the old 'Little Saigon' days of Clarendon, which gives it a nostalgic charm and sense of local history. Service was efficient, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Reservations are not necessary. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Came in to try the Vietnamese coffee with a Pokemon ice mold on it but we came too late. The person I spoke to said they sold out with in 15 mins of opening. Wish I knew that because this is the first time trying this establishment. The ice coffee was a nice strong Vietnamese coffee. Wasn’t hungry so we ordered the crab fried rice to go. I liked the flavor profile of the fried rice but it would be better with a little more crab in it. Everyone was very nice and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Lots of pictures on the wall of previous customers. Would give this place another try in the future when we are in the area.

I've been coming here for over a year now and every time has been great experience. I pretty much order the same thing which are the salt and pepper shrimp and Saigon style soft shell crabs (if available). Occasionally I order pho which is okay. Today I tried something new which is fried squid and scallops (taste the same as the salt and pepper shrimp), the seafood stir fry noodles and orange pork chops. All are very good. They have always been consistent and the service is always good.

Some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had and quite possibly the best in town. And Im not alone in thinking so because this place is an Arlington Institution. I have been coming here for years, mostly for Takeout as of late, and the food is just great. Check this place out if you get the chance, however keep in mind that Parking is Scarce. From what I have been told by older Arlingtonians they used to have a parking lot and even outdoor seating until the buildings around it came up. Still definitely worth the quest for parking

Long standing Vietnamese place located right in the heart of Clarendon. Fair prices, great menu size, and good quality meal. The wings (fish sauce flavor) were great and the veggie pho was packed with flavor and color.

I got pho bo (beef) and my friend got a bun bo hue ( spicy beef). Pho Bo was ok. The meat it had was hard and didn’t seem like it was cooked longer period of time where it gets soft. The bun bo hue didnt taste like it should. The soup didn’t have its beef broth taste that it should have. Overall, I wouldn’t get their soup.

Went here this past Sunday for some drinks and lunch. It wasn’t crowded at all and plenty of places to sit outside and inside. The beer menu was ok, very heavy on stouts and IPAs and not enough lighter beers like pilsners, lagers, etc. I ordered the “poutine” and was disappointed it wasn’t actual poutine with the broken up cheese curds like you’d find in Canada. It was ok for what it was. I will say the staff is extremely friendly which is always nice for a welcoming atmosphere.

LOVE IT! Great vibes, beer, and service! We love how low key it is. Great food choices and super friendly people. On top of that, they have the market, with an amazing selection of craft beer and other items if you want to shop. All at a great price :)

Great place, incredible selection of beers. Also have variety of wines and hard seltzers. Prices in the market are kind of high but on par with the area. Good enough eats selection and a nice little outside area setup perfect for taking a break after a stroll in the neighborhood. Definitely worth a stop to check out and relax.

A charming beer cafe in an absolutely charming neighborhood. Had a few beers from the tap and were absolutely delightful! I would definitely recommend the stout, the cider is good too but a bit fruity if that is not to your taste. The inside of the cafe is pretty and cozy but I only sat in the open air space which is very nice and comfortable, even if you are in larger groups. There's a kitchen as well for food but I didn't have any. Will go back a few times, loved the vibe of the place.

We really enjoyed this place. They had music on the patio. Food was good and reasonably priced. We had the Italian sub and the salad with salmon. Both were good. Service was good. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a local dive bar type establishment with great food and good drink. Have been to Cowboy Cafe multiple times in the past 2 months and have yet to have a bad meal. My favorite is the mixed fajitas. The serving is enough for two, but you will need to order more tortillas. You get 3 meats (a lot of steak, and chicken plus 6 shrimp). The vegetables are well seasoned and tasty. I like jalapenos so I always ask for them to Sautee (add) some to my order. The staff personalities are all over the place, but they make it work. Service is hit or miss if you sit at a table, but always consistent sitting at the bar. Can't remember what day they offer half price tacos, but well worth ordering.

Forgot to get a photo of the burger because I was so hungry. Cozy place, I love all the thingys pasted on the walls. Waitress was super nice, we got the fried pickles (BOMB) , burgers but I forgot which, and fries. I wish my fries were a but crispier because I think crunch was missing from this meal, but overall great.

Service was great, but the food was absolutely terrible. The pickles and sauce were the only good parts — large and flavorful. Unfortunately, everything else was a disaster. The tots tasted so bad they were the first food I’ve ever spit out. The pickle was spoiled. The burger had a strange fishy taste on one side, and the Philly cheesesteak was kid-sized with frozen-tasting meat. The chili mac good but barely covered top of the pasta. Even my 16-year-old, who never leaves food on the table, couldn’t finish the meal. It might be a great spot for a beer, but for the love of God — stay away from the food.

A little different! The food and service is outstanding, though it’s a little different. We all got coffee, but when you ask for a refill they either bring you a new cup or have to take yours to refill. The Irish coffee is a mix your own concoction with lots of alcohol. I had the Cowboy hash and it was outstanding. I also tasted the French toast. It was also outstanding! We drank all their coffee, and ended up waiting for them to brew another pot. We ate outside (COVID avoidance). Lots of color and the seating was comfortable. Parking is easy, though one of the lots is across the street and could pose a bit of a problem if a patron drank more than they should. Parking is plentiful. Definitely worth the stop. A little quirky. I really want to come back to sample the menu for lunch or dinner and enjoy an adult beverage or two.

Ordered carryout. Because we're on vacation I requested silverware and napkins, we didn't get either of these. Luckily, I was able to find a spoon to eat my chili mac with in my wife's purse and we used a hotel towel as a napkin. Chili mac was pretty good. Requested and paid for mayonnaise on my wife's burger and didn't get that either. Requested no onions and add pickles and got about 10-12 pickles and a big thick slice of onion. We believe the abundance of pickles contributed to the bun being kind of soggy. The meat seemed tough and dry, but it was still red so didn't seem overcooked. Fries were average. Pickle was really spicy. If you order carryout, I would suggest you double check everything BEFORE you leave. I would also suggest avoiding the burgers.

We stopped by Guapo's in Georgetown for a quick lunch before heading out for a boat ride, and I’m so glad we did! We ordered the Veg Burrito, Veg Tacos, and Macaroni & Cheese for our little one. Everything was absolutely delicious—especially the Veg Burrito, which was packed with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. The guacamole with chips was complimentary —so fresh and perfectly seasoned! Since we were short on time, we got everything as takeout, and the staff did an amazing job packing it all up in sturdy, well-organized boxes. The service was efficient and friendly, making the experience even better. If you’re in Georgetown and craving some great Mexican food with fantastic service, I highly recommend Guapo's!

Such a fun and vibrant location! Service was fast and attentive. The food was great, but I cut down 1 star because everyone agreed that most dishes were a bit salty. The pineapple margarita was very tasty, although it was a bit sweet for our taste. Our favorite was the beef fajitas, which was tender and fulfilling. The price was just right for the area.

Wow. Amazing. Bryan was our waiter and one could tell this man has learned a lot from working as support staff to going to a waiter. Hands down great service, catered my recommendations towards my palate rather than the most expensive dish on the menu. Wheelchair accessible, very clean rest rooms, array of menu items. The guacamole with pork belly was a great pick for starters.

We wanted to eat at the waterfront and Guapos had a lot of smiling customers compared to the other open restaurants and it was a good choice. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu (we had a few food allergies and they helped us avoid what we couldn’t have). The chips are wafer thin and yummy. The chicken fajitas had a sizzling display. My birria tacos were good, just a little greasy. And my friends steak salad came medium-rare as she requested. We were too full to try desert, but it looked good. One star down because the men’s bathroom has a frosted glass wall along the length of it and you can see the blurry body outline of everyone inside— no details, just presence. That was an eerie choice.

We were craving for something flavorful and filling and this place was a great option. It is close to the boat ride location too. The portion sizes are humongous and flavorful. They even give complimentary nachos and dips while we wait. Our burrito bowl was too flavorful and filling. Tacos were good but it was soft shell taco and felt a bit oily. Their kids menu is great though. The service is excellent. Pro tip: if you have a boat ride, do get a take-away and eat in on the boat (they do great to-go boxes which are spill proof too!). 100% recommend.

One of the best Tex-Mex restaurants I've tried in the USA. The meat was tender, the portions were generous, and the seasoning was excellent. The service was attentive, and the place had a very pleasant atmosphere.

We were a party of three, two of whom have extensive experience working in luxury hospitality, particularly myself in F&B departments. I would like to encourage our server to approach every table with the same high standards, whether serving three guests or six to eight. We had to wait a bit and speak with a server to order, but Fernanda did approach us first and was very attentive and made sure we had drinks and chips before our server arrived. When our server, Alejandra arrived she was pleasant at first and we order the guacamole and and a pitcher of margarita (which to us hospitality professionals means that we do not plan on being here for a short time). We finished the chips that Fernanda gave us before the guacamole came because it took a while and we asked the runner for extra chips, which never arrived. Alejandra was also never to be found as I had to go find the manager to order just the appetizer for our table. Moments before our appetizer arrived Alejandra finally showed up to take our order and we told her we order already and she almost put a second order but thankfully the food runner showed up with our order. At that time we asked for additional sauces while waiting for Alejandra to take our order for the second course; however, she did not do so. Her attention was on two other tables with more than five guests. At this point, I want to commend Fernanda, (Congratulations) who handled our concern efficiently and attentively, demonstrating excellent guest anticipation (Forbes standards). However, the communication between the food runner and the server was clearly lacking, highlighting an area for improvement in FOH operations. Ultimately, we decided not to order a second course due to the extended wait and the extra chips we did not request. When Alejandra returned to our table, she asked if we would like to split the bill among three, in a noticeably conditional manner. This was not our intention. Our goal was to enjoy a new venue with a personalized, elevated experience, but instead, the service reflected what commonly happens in the industry when clear standards are not consistently applied. Additionally our friend we brought had talked to the manager about our experience and he told her that she can tip Fernanda in cash and that there is nothing he can do. Clearly the service is not only lacking but so is the leadership which explains the lack of care of this place that has great potential.

First time visit. Everything we ordered was amazing! Food quality is good. We spend $200 for 2 people but we are happy with the food and service. Just a bit pricey but we enjoy!

We got a 3 person BBQ course Menu and it was very good. The beef was very tender and soft, chicken well seasoned. The calamari was so tasty. Overall I’m looking forward to come back. The only downside. No parking, just street parking and you have to pay. But at least it’s showing on the website and you know what to expect.

A fun place to eat with a group of people. You will BBQ your own food. So be ready to have your clothes and hair smell afterwards. They're popular for their meats. So it's not suitable if you're a vegetarian, eventhough they also offer some non meat dishes like vegetables and seafood.

It was my parents and I’s first time having Japanese barbecue and we had a wonderful experience here at Gyu-Kaku in Clarendon!!!!! The food was all very flavorful and delicious and their 3-person meat variety BBQ course was perfect for first timers since we got to try a little bit of everything! Our server, Dough, was so kind and helpful and made our experience that much more amazing! 10/10 would recommend coming here and I highly recommend having Dough as a server if possible! What an amazing gentleman!

Loved our hands-on dining experience at Gyu-Kaku. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming from the moment we stepped in the door. Our server (I may be misspelling his name - Nahmda?) Was gracious and professional, described the menu and assisted us in our selection of saki (the house saki was perfect, earthy and not too sweet). We absolutely loved roasting our selections of fresh cut meats, vegetables, and mushrooms. Delicious and fun!

BBQ is of good quality and also tasty. The service is good, making this place a great choice for a date or hanging out with friends.

Overall, the food was decent, and the drinks paired well. The ambiance had a young vibe, making it more suitable for hanging out with buddies rather than a family-friendly spot. The service was decent as well.

It's all about the trivia. Bar Bao has a fun trivia night on Thursday and tables fill up so you need to get here by 6:45 or earlier if you want one of the booths. The happy hour specials are decent but they serve everything in plastic cups. No one wants to drink wine out of a plastic cup. But we do for the trivia. Sushi and dumplings are good for snacks and I do like their brussel sprouts appetizer. There's an outside patio area too which is nicer than the inside IMO. Definitely a fun spot for trivia, maybe happy hour.

This place was so amazing and so under the radar. The restaurant had a beach bar theme in the back with a quieter, yet still hip atmosphere in the front. The server and the hostess were both so attentive and helpful. The bao buns were incredible and small bites were great too. I highly recommend the bottomless brunch on the weekends for $35 all you can eat + 25 cent mimosas! The happy hour menu also has some interesting selections for reasonable prices too.

There's some street parking around, we didn't end up making a reservation but it didn't really matter so it was quiet which surprised me. We opted for the bottomless brunch and the carafe of mimosas which was totally worth it. Our server, James, was awesome. The brunch was $36.99/person and the carafe of mimosas (~8 glasses was only $13.99). We ordered the Calamari, Honey Shrimp, Chicken & Waffles, Bulgogi Hash, Braised Pork Bao, Breakfast Tots, Salmon Benedict, Pork Dumplings, Home Fries, JFC Bao, Shrimp Tempura Bun, Short Rib Bao, Steak Frites and Nutella French Toast. Notables and recommendations: Honey Shrimp, Chicken & Waffles, Bulgogi Hash, JFC Bao, Short Rib and Nutella French Toast were amazing. The other ones were ok and not bad but too salty or the sauce was too overpowering for my taste. Overall, genuinely surprised about how great everything was! Definitely recommend! We stopped by because my friends liked the outdoor seating area and wanted a drink. They have good beer on tap and a nice outdoor space. That’s where the good things. Food is pricy with just okay portions. The kimchi bulgogi fries are $19 with little meat and kimchi but a lot of mayo. The food is not anything special. The service is not consistent and confusing. Your best bet is to order drinks and food at the bar and then wait there until it comes. The outdoor patio is great when there’s nice weather but I would not order food again.

Chose this place based on the large patio and sitting outside was very nice. There is a longer wait for the "back patio" which is more of a scene. The "front patio" is narrower and quieter. The servers genuinely seemed to be doing the best they could with a severely disorganized and understaffed kitchen and bar. They even admitted that the managers were helping to cook. Unfortunately it didn't really help as food came out more than an hour after ordering. It was clear that this was happening at other tables as well. The restaurant took the late items off the bill to apologise. Overall the food was decent, the snacks and bao are better than the entres. Would be willing to try it again because the patio is nice but do not go here if you are in a rush! Happy hour specials are solid for Clarendon including $4 for any draft beer including some heavy hitters.

Food was great. Parking is a nightmare! We went there because google listed that this "asian restaurant" is open late until 12-1am. We drive 45min there for family dinner of 8people. Theres no information online saying that the restaurant will close at 10 and turn it into a club. We was shock! After 45min of driving, we have 45min to dine in To super rush on eating and get kick out before 10pm. Some food dish is not even done cooking before we have to get out of there. Our bill is near $250 for a super rush dine in. It was an unhappy experience for our first time visiting the area. A plus for the food but the hours and bar/club info need to be listed clearly and correctly for first time visitor like me who based on google info.

Owner seems unaware of the concept. Bait and switch. Slowly fled and would not return. Arrived to find a suitable facility to play games with plenty of space and a nice menu. However, experience went downhill from there. Arrived with a party of six for gaming, found a nice table, fetched cups of water, placed an order at the counter. Having completed that, staff informed our party that the section of the restaurant with gaming tables was now closed, oddly. Remaining aspects of the facility were not suitable for gaming, with low, small coffee tables. Even though gaming was not possible due to owner's policies and practices, decided that the food order had been placed so stayed long enough to eat instead of arguing for a refund. Food which was presented was OK. However, multiple requests to complete the salmon aspect of the salmon avocado did not have any good result. Staff appeared to be listening, but then took no action, repeatedly. Left to play games at home, as gaming not possible at this facility, despite its name. Odd that the owner would advertise this as a gaming place, purchase the suitable furniture, pay the Clarendon rent, then swindle the customers.

Fun date night! Sadly 3 of the games we tried to play were missing instructions. The food was ok but the drinks were great!

A good place for drinks and games. You had to order food and drinks at the bar since there was no table service which wasn't too bad as it wasn't busy on a Thursday. There were lots of options for games but it was very unorganized, making it hard to see what all was there. Relatively small selection of food and drinks but everything they had was great! The frozen rose was a real hit!

I hosted my 50th Birthday party at Ms. Peacock's Champagne Lounge. Erica, Ali , and the staff were wonderful and helpful throughout the planning process. They are top notch and my guests had a great time! Host your event there! You will not be disappointed.

The spot/environment is the best thing here. I tried their Pastor Tacos and sad to say they were NOT close to the original, not even close, adding thick sauces on top that weren't terrible, just not good enough neither was the meat. The beer (Stout) was very good, similar to 2 left Hand Milk Stout. Service faaaar from amiable, not rude, just not welcoming/engaging. One of the bar tenders has been there a while, he is as dry as a rock, but polite. In the past is tried their salads that wasn't bad.

The food portion was really small. I ordered nachos, a chilli bowl, kale salad and wings. Wings were ok but all the other dishes were a lot smaller than what I expected. And no lettuce on nachos. Very little veggies on Nacho. Only some guac, sour cream, some salsa and some jalapeño. Beer was good. After eating, we grabbed Unos and the cards were so gross. I almost threw up from the stink. We then grabbed a Ticket to Ride and it also smelled bad. It did not have the instructions, so we put it away. I washed my hands in between, because my hands felt so dirty. Bring your own game if you want to play games. The place had large tvs. If you want to come to watch football, this is the spot.

Board game cafes are one of my favorite things to visit in each city we go to. Things I liked: -Currently don’t have to pay to play board games like most cafes -Large menu for food, cocktails, beer, AND mocktails (literally something for everyone) -Staff was friendly behind the bar. Kept the line moving quickly. -Ambiance and space itself was really cool and with the lounge area, couches, booths, etc., there was a lot of space while also having sections that felt more “homey”. Things that could be improved: -There’s no real direction beyond “seat yourself” so we had to seek out employees to figure out how to order and how games worked -Games…lots of traditional games, but it looks like maybe they’re still trying to add more variety. Hopefully with time the library will grow, but if you’re really into board games, the library isn’t very extensive. Bring a backup just in case. -Food is okay, but nothing to write home about. We actually would have preferred to eat elsewhere and come here for games and drinks. -Beer options were limited when we went and they were sold out of almost everything. Maybe 5 beers on their whole menu were available from their brewery. If you were looking for domestic bottles and cans, that was available. -Bathrooms, weird but not a single stall locked. Women were trying to hold others doors shut, or just trying to keep them closed on their own. This seems like something easily remedied, even with an alternative lock.

One of my favorite places to go dancing in D.C. is 18th Street Lounge aka ESL. Whether the room is packed or it’s just me and my crew, it never disappoints. The vibes are always right, the music is always flowing, and you can truly make the night your own. I love coming here to catch some of my favorite DJs—especially @jahsonicdc. The energy he brings sets the tone every time. The venue itself has two levels, great drinks, and if you get there early enough, a chill patio to start the night off outside. Whether it's a date night, girls’ night out, or you're celebrating with a group, 18th Street Lounge gives you the space to dance, lounge, and just enjoy good people and good music. If you're into great music, a grown vibe, and supporting local DJs—add this place to your list.

I've been going to ESL since it was off of DuPont circle. Loved it up there, and the vibe really hasn't changed. Good music (most of the time), drinks are good (the downstairs bar charges more than the upstairs bar for some reason) and a good sized crowd. Probably need one more bartender because they get slammed. Still one of my go to spots in the city.

I came to Eighteenth Street Lounge for a fun night out. I left with a bruised throat, no voice, and trauma—disoriented from what I now know was a chokehold applied by your staff. Medical evaluations confirm the harm. Rather than taking responsibility, you’ve chosen to publicly smear a patron and post unverified, reputationally damaging claims, which may constitute defamation. I have already spoken with authorities. Further legal and regulatory steps will follow if this matter is not treated with the seriousness it warrants. Let this serve as notice: When venues treat physical harm as a PR inconvenience, and attack the credibility of injured patrons, they reveal a deeper culture of irresponsibility and risk. I will not let this go quietly. UPDATE ON THE CHOKING INCIDENT: It’s been nearly 3 weeks since I was put in a chokehold by staff at Eighteenth Street Lounge. I’m still recovering. Medical results show ongoing throat inflammation that's left me unable to fully speak—a deeply frustrating and painful experience. ENT specialist peered into my throat and ruled out vocal cord damage and fracture (thankfully!), but confirmed significant inflammation likely caused by forceful compression. I’m now on medication in hopes of regaining my full voice. This is what reckless physical force at licensed venues like Eighteenth Street Lounge can result in—lasting harm from being forcibly removed without warning. A formal complaint is with the Alcohol and Beverage Review Administration, and legal action remains an option. No patron should ever be injured by the actions of a bar like Eighteenth Street Lounge. Previous Update: Formal Letter to ESL Demanding Accountability for Assault Incident On August 27, I submitted a formal letter to Eighteenth Street Lounge requesting a full explanation for the assault I experienced at their establishment and asking what concrete steps they’ve taken since to address it. This incident was not just personal—it raised broader concerns about accountability, safety, and how nightlife venues handle violence against patrons. I believe the public deserves to know whether establishments like ESL are willing to take responsibility, protect their community, and create a space of mutual respect. I await their official response and will share any updates publicly. MPD and ABRA have shady been notified on the incident. I go here to dance to House. The owner and some of the staff have been thoughtful, polite, recptive, welcoming, hard-working, and marvelous people. Wish it was larger with more dancing space but work with what you have. Have not tried the food or drinks.

I booked a free EDM event through the Shotgun app, but when we arrived at the venue, we were told there was actually a private wedding party happening instead. The advertised event did not exist. This caused us to waste time and money on transport for an event that was never happening.
