The Carousel Bar & Lounge, situated in the Hotel Monteleone, is a must-visit spot with its unique circular bar that rotates like a carousel every 15 minutes. It's known for its carefully crafted cocktails such as the Fleur De Lis, featuring gin and St. Germain liquor. The ambiance is enhanced by live music and offers great people-watching opportunities.
Amazing atmosphere, great cocktails, and live music. Visited the carousel bar, which is first come first serve. The bar spins, which is so cool. Nestled inside of Hotel Monteleon. Had a Vieux Carre and a Sazerac. The servers were great. They maintained a keen eye throughout the night. The live entertainment made for an extra great night. This is unique experience to try at least once.see you soon.

The ambiance at the Carousel Bar is amazing unique and lively. The air conditioning is excellent, making it a comfortable spot to relax. The menu focuses mostly on cocktails, so it’s best for those looking for a good drink experience rather than a wide food selection.
Patrick Y — Google review
Such a great experience at the Carousel Bar & Lounge! This is the perfect hangout spot for professionals or anyone looking to unwind in a classy, laid-back setting. The ambience was chill and inviting, with a live band that set the perfect tone for the night. The atmosphere overall was lively but still comfortable you could relax, enjoy good conversation, and soak in the energy of New Orleans. Of course, the highlight is the carousel bar itself it slowly spins as you sip your drink, which was such a fun and unique experience! The vibe here is truly unmatched. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is an absolute must when in New Orleans.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stopped by the Carousel Bar at Hotel Monteleone and had such a great experience! The atmosphere is beautiful and unique — definitely a must-visit spot in New Orleans. I ordered a drink at the bar, and my server, Stephanie, was super friendly and attentive. She made the experience even better! Great service, great vibes, and amazing cocktails. I’ll definitely be back!
Carmen V — Google review
A must visit! The cocktails are made by proper bartenders who know what they are doing. Ours were fantastic. The rotating bar is fantastic, and the bar sits inside a beautiful hotel, which is also worth a look.
Mark W — Google review
Great stop. We were on a tour and this was recommended. So glad we did. We waited about 15 minutes. Got a couple of seats to sit and do a few "rounds". Yes the bar actually rotates while you are sitting there. Bartenders were great. Everyone there was nice. Definitely stop in to check it out.
Mike S — Google review
This was a cool spot!!! I timed it perfectly!!! I got there about 20 minutes prior to it opening. And there was already a line. The thing filled up quickly once they let everyone in!!! Had i shown up another 2 or 3 minutes later, there wouldve been no places to sit at the bar. Note*** I left around 1:30pm. And there were some empty seats at the bar. So maybe show up after the first little rush?
Joe G — Google review
We only had cocktails. I had the French 007 ...it was delicious. Great atmosphere and good band playing. It's a novelty trip place. I recommend.

Cocktail bar
Takeout Restaurant
Small plates restaurant
Cure is a stylish cocktail lounge located in a former firehouse on Freret Street in New Orleans. It played a significant role in revitalizing the city's cocktail culture, offering an eclectic array of creative drinks and an impressive selection of spirits. The bar has received numerous accolades and was recognized as one of America's Best Bars by Esquire and one of the Best Cocktail Bars in the U.S. by Food & Wine.
In a city full of cocktail bars, this has hands-down been our go-to spot for the last 5 years. Each time we come to Cure, it is the same stellar service and drinks. Their happy hour, liquor selection, as well as their daily punch (always refreshing and fun) is incredible. You cannot go wrong with any drink from their staples to their seasonal menu. Additionally, if they have it, they will make it (Cock N' Bull). Their drinks were actually the inspiration for our speciality cocktails at our wedding. Our favorite spot to sit is at the bar so that we can talk with the bartenders. Outside is also great- we've even gone outside in hot months but the fans and shade make it enjoyable. We have brought family and friends here over the past few years, and they constantly rave about it. The whole staff is great and hospitable. Huge shout out to Liz Kelley who has made each visit spectacular and is always welcoming. Multiple times, I have been unsure about what I wanted/ wanted to try something new and her suggestions have never disappointed. No matter how long its been since we've seen her, we just pick up conversation like it was yesterday. Overall, the whole staff is great. For food, it's hard to pick favorites... but if we had to it would be the mushroom toast. The deviled eggs are also up there and are something I now make for holidays thanks to Cure book we received as a wedding gift.

this little hole of a gem is so fancy and nice we eat the food so good even outside.. my mother in law loves the place so much not as much as me though.. i dont know which server it was but one of them was messing with me., although i left the tip properly, i really enjoyed my drink. WAY better than anything on Bourbon Street!!
J K — Google review
Cure is one of my favorite spots for happy hour. It strikes the perfect balance between upscale and laid-back. The cocktails are always excellent, and the staff is incredibly attentive. I really like the charcuterie plates. This time we tried the trout dip and it was amazing! Highly recommend this place.
Tara — Google review
My friends and I stopped into Cure for drinks and apps before dinner, and it was such a great spot to kick off the night. The drinks were tasty and well-crafted, and the apps were light and flavorful. Just note that they’re definitely small plates—perfect for sharing, but I’d say 4 people max per dish if you’re splitting. Chill vibe, great drinks, and a nice way to start the evening!

The food 5 stars is substituted for cocktails for this review. Named #1 bar in the US by Food and Wine Magazine in the April 2025 edition, Cure is a low-key, uncrowded bar. I expected a New York scene, with 600 people crowding into a space for 100. Not so. I’m here on a Saturday night at 5pm and it’s half empty. Happily, I sit and order the XO Sidecar. Delicious and citrusy, it quenches and delivers. Next up is the This Time Tomorrow #2, which is a whiskey sour with lemongrass, banana and chai. The foaminess from the egg white on top gives it a gin-fizz like texture. It finishes dry, with a slight astringency because of the egg white. Delicious. Great service. Michelin Star quality easily. Come here and forget the French Quarter.

I rarely ever write reviews. The hospitality here is amazing. Liz is a great bartender. So considerate and thoughtful to all her guests. Worth visiting just for her. Honestly she deserves a raise for her service and kindness. Goes above and beyond for all people who come in. Best spot in NOLA easily :)
Veronica N — Google review
I had a 1 person reservation at Cure on a Thursday night because I wanted a few drinks after my early dinner elsewhere. I offered to sit at the bar, but they actually had a full bar so I had a table to myself. To start, I had the La Vida Normal - A breezy, warm weather Old Fashioned featuring malty Japanese whiskey with notes of yuzu, gentian, and sarsparilla root. It had the same usual Old Fashioned flavors but with a yuzu flavor instead of your typical orange. My second drink was the Written Invitation, which according to their website is "Lavender, pear, and alpine aromatics make for a crisp and utterly refreshing whisky sour, evoking a leisurely jaunt through a sunny meadow". I loved this one. As a whisky sour fan, this was like a brighter, summery version. Service was fine, I think they might not have had enough staff for all the tables. I appreciated being left alone to have my drink, but it did take a while to get my second order in and get my check. I'd definitely come back to try the food because a few of the items looked really good.
Michelle T — Google review
Full disclosure…I went to Cure yesterday for the first time in close to a decade. I finished a business meeting early and decided to extend to a happy hour with my colleagues. Since we were in the area I thought Cure would be professional friendly and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were great and the service was too notch. I only had the charcuterie so I can’t comment on the food but I would highly recommend anyone to this place.

Jewel of the South is a charming restaurant in New Orleans known for its garden courtyard and delectable offerings. From cocktails to caviar and steaks to Sunday brunch, this place has it all. The city's oyster bars like Acme and Felixs offer an authentic New Orleans vibe, where you can enjoy fresh oysters in a laid-back atmosphere. Cooter Browns, located along the St.
Some of the best drink I ever had. They are so well balanced, unique, and tasty. The one with the cardamom cordial is fantastic. The food was very good and eclectic. I usually don’t like tongue but the way they prepared it was very good. I will definitely be back.

Dined during Tales. Fabiana, Stefanie took care of me as I ate most of the menu, by myself, had 6 cocktails (complimentary due to the event in bar area), a glass of Champagne which they were kind enough to provide despite not offering wine during the event, and dessert. I had a nice time. This is a good restaurant
Zach W — Google review
The food is unique and delicious - flavors I haven't had in decades, unique combinations, fun and adventurous items. This is a special treat, a fun night out, perfect for a date night or a celebration..smaller group is better. If you have picky eaters in the group maybe not ideal, but if you like to try new things and delight your palate with unexpected flavors, this is the perfect place.

PLEASE GET RID OF THAT SINGLE TABLE IN THE ALLEYWAY. We arrived at the restaurant at around 6pm on a Monday and were told that the only thing available would be a table on the sidewalk, and service would be provided to us through a door from the bar. We took it. What we weren’t told, however, is that it was literally the only table out in that alleyway, steps away from the restaurant’s garbage area. Although the door connects to the bar, it stayed shut most of the time when someone was not taking the order or bringing the dishes, which kept us completely out on our own. When it got dark, it was dim and eerie with no one else around, except some turtle-bean-sized flies attacking the food. And if you are lucky like us, you might also get a homeless person yelling “Everyone having a good time?”, approaching you for food and money. At one point, a restaurant staff ran past us to throw away trash, nervously, as if they didn’t want to stay out for a second longer. Even though we enjoyed the food and would very much like a second round of drinks, we felt too uneasy to stay and really didn’t want to push our luck. Outdoor dining usually means access to fresh air and a view of lively streets for us, but in this case only anxiety (and we’re travelling from NYC). Had anything happened to us, I don’t think the restaurant would be able to act on it. So let me repeat this: PLEASE GET RID OF THAT SINGLE TABLE IN THE ALLEYWAY, for the safety and wellbeing of your guests, even if it means you have to turn them away. Speaking as a diner, I would rather walk out in disappointment than be seated there.

Wow! Just wow! I must say that I have not enjoyed a meal or dining experience this much in years! The attention to detail, the service, the knowledge of the staff, the teamwork, the food, the cocktails, the atmosphere. All were impeccable. Each course that I ordered out did the previous one. Heirloom tomatoes and Wagyu tongue stole the show, but the asparagus was phenomenal and the Eccles for dessert was paired so well with some Stilton! Thank you for such a great and unique experience. Kudos the chef and staff!
Jonathan D — Google review
The food at Jewel of the South was absolutely amazing! Every dish was packed with flavor, and the cocktails were next-level good. The service was just as great, super friendly and attentive without being over the top. You can really tell they care about what they do. The only thing that kept it from being a full 5 stars was that the inside area felt a little tight and got pretty loud, which made it hard to chat at times. Still, the energy was fun and lively, and I’d definitely come back. Totally worth it!

This was probably the best meal we had in New Orleans. Wonderful experience made up of a very original and well thought out menu, attentive staff, and a great ambiance. Get the tartare!

Best drink spot we tried in NOLA! The drinks are very unique—we tried four and loved them all. Our server, Stephanie, was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We sat outside, and it was nice and quiet —perfect for enjoying the experience. I would definitely go back if I’m in NOLA again!

Bacchanal Fine Wine & Spirits is a charming wine and cheese store located in the trendy Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans. The venue features a lush back patio adorned with fairy lights, where patrons can enjoy live music while indulging in globally inspired small plates and an extensive selection of wines. The atmosphere is described as bohemian yet sophisticated, attracting a diverse crowd of locals and visitors alike.
Bacchanal is a truly unique experience. There are two options for dining available. Self-service outside style or inside seated. We chose to sit outside and listen to some nice, live jazz music while enjoying a couple of bottles of wine and superb appetizers. This was in May, so it was pretty “warm” 🥵but they do have several fans to keep the air moving around. Parking is difficult so I suggest getting dropped off.

Wow! We absolutely loved this place tonight. My wife and I go to dinner frequently in New Orleans. This is hands down one of the coolest experiences we have ever had. Super laid back atmosphere. No table service so you don’t have a server making you feel rushed to get out. Really nice outdoor patio with live music. The music started at 7pm tonight. It’s like a DIY at your own pace restaurant. I loved that about this place. GO. CHECK. IT. OUT!
Chad F — Google review
Simply fantastic. What a great spot to enjoy amazing music, great food and a true oasis of a space. We came as a group of 8 and absolutely loved everything about this spot. Great wine, great food, great cocktails and beers. What more could you truly want. A 12/10 experience. If you come to New Orleans come here! And get the pork belly holy best pork belly I’ve had in a minute!

This feels like a place you’d see in an HBO finale where all the hot late 20s to 30 or 40 something’s meet up in the season finale to have a celebratory send-off of some kind. If like the vibes of Sideways were a restaurant. Truly unique dining experience. Food was great. Drinks were fantastic. Music was delightful. Service is top notch. Property is adorable. Will scream this recommendation from rooftops for anyone visiting NOLA. 5/5 will return at some point.
Eric M — Google review
Amazing food!! It was confusing to understand their set up at first, but, they have a small place downstairs where you can buy wine and you either take it home or take it upstairs to the restaurant and have it with the food you are gonna order. In the back there is a patio with occasional live music. Seriously… amazing food!
Daniele ( — Google review
What a magical patio. Great atmosphere, music, and people. You definitely get a community vibe as you hang out over wine and small bites. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The charcuterie board was massive. Diverse offering of spirits.

Wonderful spot that I hope to get back to one day. A friend brought us there while we were visiting for a few days in New Orleans! All cities should have a spot like this. It's the best wine shop/cheese/art and music experience out there. Simple, clever, fun. Delicious charcuterie board and wonderful music.
Zheina P — Google review
Such a great experience, love the concept. You go pick your own cheese wine and meats from their little market and they create a charcuterie board adding olives pickles and bread bringing it to your table. Live music and beautiful outdoor space! Highly recommend!

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar is a must-visit historic site located on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Dating back to the 1700s, it is one of the oldest bars in the United States and boasts Gothic architecture that creates a unique ambiance reminiscent of its pirate-filled past.
Very cool super old bar with live piano entertainment, feels cosy and intimate with the dim lights! Loved the voodoo daiquiri (purple drink). A must visit on the quieter part of Bourbon Street.
Caterina B — Google review
Known for being the oldest bar in American History. The place is certainly rustic. The service was quick, however the Hurricane wasn't great at all. The live music was great. The atmosphere gave mysterious as the space is dimly lit.
Perry K — Google review
We saw the voodoo daiquiri (purple drank) in an article of must tries so when we were visiting we decided to give them a try. It didn't disappoint, we aren't big drinkers so they were strong tasting but they were well worth it. We also tried their hurricanes as we were told they were better than the originals. They were good! Not as sweet as the others.
F C — Google review
Went to this bar to see the historic building, and it's absolutely worth a visit for the history alone. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service. I expected a little more professionalism when I asked about non-alcoholic options, and the bartender's comment about 'only serving real drinks' felt unnecessary. For someone who can't drink, it would have been nice to at least be offered a water bottle. It's a great place to visit for the atmosphere and history, but just be aware that they don't seem to cater to those looking for non-alcoholic beverages so you don’t have to go through an unnecessary comment and an unprofessional bartender
Fernanda H — Google review
Lafitte's was one of the recommended bars for our group during our visit to New Orleans. It's almost at the end of the street when walking in the French Quarter, so it was a little far to walk, given our big group. It was a nicely themed bar, and the live music was nice. I did have to put earplugs in. It was also VERY crowded, even on a random Saturday night. I didn't order any food or drinks, probably because of the large crowd.
Shoshana A — Google review
Lafitte’s Blacksmith Bar is one of the coolest spots in New Orleans and definitely worth a visit. I first came here years ago and spent the afternoon day drinking with some of the best Bloody Marys I’d ever had, peppery, spicy, and unforgettable. On this trip, I went back hoping to relive that experience. While the mix seems to have changed a bit and wasn’t quite as good as I remembered, it was still very solid. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the vibe. The history, the atmosphere, and the character of the bar are unlike anywhere else in the area. Even if you just stop in for a drink, it’s an experience that feels uniquely New Orleans.
M. R — Google review
Very cool. Old blacksmith shop with limited electricity. Drink was good and decently priced. Just a neat ambiance.
Linda D — Google review
We always have to make a stop in LaFitte’s when we go to NOLA - I love the look and feel of the whole bar, but I especially love the piano area. I’m a sucker for a good piano singalong! I did have to knock off a couple of stars for service - there were three, male bartenders there (that we saw) on our most recent visit, and none of them were very personable. My husband went to get me a drink, and the one he went to seemed to be put off by having to serve a customer. I went back later and two others were standing together behind the bar (no line waiting when I walked up) and they were not helpful either. We decided to move along at that point. I’m sure we’ll go back on our next visit, I always like to go for the piano side - I was just a bit surprised by the service this time. Not a deal breaker - hopefully just something that can be improved on.

It shares a building with the legendary restaurant Arnaud's and has been serving classic seafood dishes since 1918. The bar offers an impressive cocktail program, featuring the namesake drink, which includes Courvoisier cognac, cane sugar, lemon juice, and Moet & Chandon. The ambiance is enhanced by a tin ceiling and live jazz music during brunch hours.
Our first stop in New Orleans couldn’t have been more magical—thanks to French75 and our incredible server, Amanda! From the moment we walked in, we were swept up in the timeless charm of this historic bar, and Amanda, with her soft pink hair and warm smile, made us feel right at home. As first-time visitors, we were blown away by her deep knowledge of both the restaurant’s rich history and the city itself. She didn’t just serve us; she took the time to share stories and recommendations that made our experience unforgettable. And let’s talk about my very first French75 cocktail! It was absolute perfection, setting the tone for a night (and a birthday weekend) to remember. Amanda’s hospitality went above and beyond, turning a simple drink into a cherished memory. French75 is a must-visit, not just for its legendary cocktails but for the kind of service that makes you fall in love with New Orleans. Thank you, Amanda and the entire team, for making our celebration so special—we’ll be back!

A must-visit stop on any French quarter cocktail crawl! We came for the iconic French 75, and their version is beautifully presented and nicely balanced. The bartenders are skilled and efficient, and the whole place radiants a charming vintage vibe with its dark wood paneling and classic furnishings. Overall a great spot to relax, sip something special, and soak in that old-school New Orleans atmosphere.

Seth is really incredible. He knows the menu and can make great suggestions for drinks, food, deserts. The atmosphere is really nostalgic. Service high-end. Food and drinks amazing. Prices are inline with a restaurant of this caliber.

Had a great time here. Service was a little lacking, but the drinks were phenomenal. The bar and seating were absolutely gorgeous. A blast from the past for sure. I would give this place a try again in the future.

Fantastic bar with great drinks and service! Decorated with traditional old Victorian styled furniture which adds to the elegant feel of the bar. We of course ordered the French 75 and it was stellar!

Fancy classy bar setting with a great cocktail menu. Service was topnotch as expected. We had a couple of cocktails and an appetizer at the bar.

What a true delight! I have been wanting to go here for quite some time, and it totally delivered. Cocktails were outstanding! We also got the strawberry dessert that was on the brunch menu, and I think their pastry chef deserves a raise! It was just terrific. This is a great place to experience that incredible New Orleans service, ambience, food, and drinks! Loved it!

Bar Tonique is a well-regarded bar known for its craft cocktails made with housemade ingredients. The cozy brick space, complete with a fireplace, provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patrons. Located near Treme in the French Quarter, this bar stands out from traditional cocktail bars in New Orleans by offering a more laid-back atmosphere while still serving high-quality drinks. The establishment prioritizes equality and diversity within its workforce and aims to dismantle conventional industry hierarchies.
One of the best bar experiences of my life. My favorite bar in New Orleans. We visited the city for 3 days and we went to this bar 4 times. Service is beyond friendly, drinks are outstanding and the lay back vibe is perceivable. Their gin fizz is a show, but their true skill is in my opinion in the way they manage to master classic cocktails like the Sidecar or the Gimlet in a way that should satisfy purists while adding a spin for more daring drinkers. A true highlight of our visit to Crescent City.

Went for a nitecap with my BF birthday girl. Gin selection was small but limited to …great & possibly better. When I mentioned the Botanist the bartender (who was busy) made time to find an amazing recommendation. I as a Bartender, find this place unpretentious , low key& utterly lovely. A bar is only as good as it’s Bartender and for that we thank him. 🤟🏼

On my way to the French Market I just coincidentally saw this bar and almost passed it. I decided to give it a try after seeing the reviews on google. Good choice of cocktails and cheap prices compared to other cocktail bars. Could not complain about the quality of the drinks either. Had a nice chit chat with the bar keeper who was very friendly and helpful. I even returned two days later for more. Thumbs Up

A great visit to New Orlean’s first craft cocktail bar! This bar is a bit more of a dive than I expected. The bar was semi-crowded with all the bar seats full. I ordered at the front. I found it a bit odd I needed to wait at the front for my drinks to be made while the bar was busy, but I’m with it. Service was fast, drinks were affordable and quality. Nothing fancy here, classic cocktails done simple and without the BS.

If you're looking for fantastic cocktails in New Orleans without any fuss, Bar Tonique is your spot. This "hidden" gem, tucked away at the edge of the French Quarter, offers a surprisingly unique vibe you might not expect from the outside. It's all about the drinks here, and they're superb. The friendly bartender even crafted a custom drink for me, perfectly tailored to my taste, that wasn't even on the menu. Plus, he gave us some great recommendations for bars in New York, which was an unexpected bonus. The cocktails are delicious and come at very fair prices, especially for the quality. We loved it so much, we went two nights in a row! For great cocktails, good value, and an easy-going atmosphere, Bar Tonique is an absolute must-visit.

Our favorite bar in NOLA. Classic cocktails done really well. Their consistency is perfect. Super friendly and we love the atmosphere.

Great cocktails and informed bartenders. I was curious about trying something I heard of that wasn't on their very extensive menu. Our bartender knew exactly what it was and not only offered to make it (despite it not being on their menu) but seemed excited to do so

I came here 2 years ago and fell in love with this quirky, cute bar with great drinks and a fun staff. Fast forward 2 years and the bar looks run down, with giant tears in the bench cushions and dirty floors. The bartender could not remember the 3 drink order we gave him and came back multiple times to confirm our drinks ...there was only 4 other people in the whole bar so he wasn't overloaded with drink orders. I'm so sad to see such a great bar go down hill so fast.

Cane and Table is a colonial-style bar in the French Quarter, evoking old Havana with its tiled floors and exposed brickwork. The bar offers innovative rum-based cocktails with tropical flavors, served alongside a Cuban-skewed food menu featuring dishes like beef empanadas and spiced ribs. On weekends, guests can enjoy a bottomless brunch with Caribbean-inspired dishes and mimosas. Additionally, patrons can have their craft cocktails poured into a pineapple or coconut to take on the go.
I am visiting from Dallas. Chose this venue for restaurant week in NOLA. The atmosphere is dark, quaint, and coquettish. The seating is close, and you are surrounded by lovers, first dates, and long friendships. The food portions were satisfactory, but the menu was so creative. The drinks were phenomenal! Drink of choice that night "New Orleans Jockey Club" - be warned I am a sucker for any drink in a coupe glass. I was a reservation of one and felt safe and well attended to. My server, David, was the icing on the cake. Absolutely loved his vibe ❤️. Thank you Cane and Table for a memorable visit to NOLA.

Most likely, probably the best food we had during our weekend trip to NOLA……Unfortunately; I did not appreciate the added/without my consent 20% service charge. Please let me be the one, as a customer, who determines based on the “actual “ service provided, what your tip will be. Other than that; the food was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxed, away from all the mayhem great…. If y oh are looking for a place that offers a different vibe and culinary experience; this is the place….

🌟 Cane & Table: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of New Orleans 🌟 Tucked away in the French Quarter, Cane & Table delivers a dining experience that feels like stumbling upon a secret oasis. From the moment you walk in, the relaxed ambience wraps around you like a warm breeze—dim lighting, rustic charm, and a vibe that whispers “stay awhile.” 🥩 The Food The steak frites were a revelation: perfectly crisp on the outside, tender within, and elevated by a bold chimichurri kick that danced across the palate. Paired with a fragrant side of saffron rice, the flavors were both comforting and adventurous. And just when you think the meal couldn’t get better, the chocolate terrine arrives—rich, velvety, and indulgent without being overpowering. A dessert worth lingering over. 👨‍🍳 The Service Five stars, hands down. The staff were attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without pretension, and genuinely warm. It’s rare to find a crew that makes you feel like both a guest and a friend. ✨ Final Verdict Cane & Table isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a mood, a moment, a memory in the making. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this unexpected surprise is one worth savoring.

This place is only okay. I got the idea to visit this place after seeing a cooking demo they did at Jazz And Heritage Festival. They didn't have a lot of entree options. The appetizer and drink I got was good and the entree was acceptable, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. They also added 20% gratuity to your bill.

Went for dinner and drinks on our way to see LA LOM play at Toulouse Theater. We got 5 small plates and drinks. Their rum game is on point, I had a New Orleans Daiquiri and a Cane & Table Mai Thai. We got every seafood small plate they offered and, y’all it was some of the freshest seafood I’ve had in town in a while. They do a dish that’s like a shrimp cocktail ceviche, I imagine if happiness was a flavor that would be it. Also didn’t know octopus could be prepared so well. We’ll be back.

Came here to try a drink after dinner next door. The cocktail I got was a mai tai which was excellent, one of the better ones I've ever had. The vibe of the bar was very good as well.

Really good restaurant in the French Quarter. Food was common but really well cooked. A great selection of outdoor/ indoor seating and the staff were great. The best dish was the plantains and cauliflower. A really good amount of authentic flavour coming through.

This place had a great atmosphere. The staff was mostly helpful and friendly as well. My steak was delicious, but I wasn’t a big fan of my side. My girlfriend wasn’t too impressed with her entree either. I wasn’t a huge fan of the food choices just not my cup of tea and didn’t seem very creole either. Not saying the food was bad necessarily just not our cup of tea. If you go I definitely recommend the steak!

The Sazerac Bar, located in the Grand Roosevelt Hotel, is a classic cocktail bar with an elegant old-world ambiance. It's renowned for serving some of the best Sazeracs in New Orleans, the city's official cocktail. The bar features African walnut bars and walls adorned with Paul Ninas' artwork, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that harks back to traditional New Orleans.
We took a tasting tour. The three levels of ambience and learning about how the products are made was great. We liked the small taste of each drink and I loved the interactive displays even the screen, bar tender. A cool activity for sure.

We visited sazerac bar in May 2025. This place is tastefully decorated with top notch cocktails and a true old world charm. If you’re a Sazerac fan, this is your place. They offer several variations, along with other classic NOLA drinks and modern creations unique to each bartender. All the drinks we tasted were well balanced and perfectly executed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a great chat with our bartender. The vibe is intimate and elegant, yet totally relaxed. Be sure to explore the hotel too. The space is stunning! If you love cocktails and a classy atmosphere, this spot is a must visit in New Orleans.

This bar was excellent! We stopped in before a show at the Saenger Theater, and we got a Coffee House Sazerac and a Chocolate Cherry Bomb. The drinks were beautifully crafted, unique, and tasty. The place is of course gorgeous as it’s set up inside the Roosevelt Hotel. It’s upscale, so you’ll be paying premium prices. As long as you’re prepared for that, it’s worth it.

Usually fairly busy. I visited twice during my week trip to New Orleans. Located within the Roosevelt hotel. We got the Sazerac drink and espresso martinis. Perfectly made. So delicious. And you pay for it $$. For these specific drinks, they were $20 per drink.
Dakota N — Google review
Based on recent reviews from visitors, The Sazerac Bar in New Orleans is praised for its historic atmosphere, classic cocktails, and skilled staff, but can become very crowded and is considered expensive. The bar is located in the elegant Roosevelt Hotel and is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Positive feedback Historical and elegant atmosphere: Reviewers describe the bar as having a timeless, classic, and sophisticated vibe. The Art Deco decor and WPA-era murals are frequently highlighted. Expertly crafted cocktails: The bar's namesake Sazerac is a highlight for many, with some reviewers calling it the best in the city. Other classic drinks like the Ramos Gin Fizz and Old Fashioned are also recommended. Knowledgeable bartenders: The bar staff, particularly the bartenders, are often described as skilled, knowledgeable, and friendly, despite frequently being busy. Lively, upscale ambiance: Visitors find the bar to be energetic but still upscale, making it a "must-visit" for many. Critical feedback Crowds and seating: The bar can get extremely crowded, especially during peak hours or holidays. Several recent reviews note a new lack of bar stools and limited table seating, which can make it hard to find a spot to sit. High prices: Drinks are consistently described as expensive, with reviewers noting that the experience is more of a "splurge". Inconsistent service: While many praise the bartenders, some reviews point to moments of poor or less-than-attentive service, possibly due to the staff being overworked during busy periods. Pre-batched cocktails: One reviewer noted that they received a premixed Sazerac from a jug, which detracted from their experience. Tips for visitors If you want to enjoy the historic ambiance in a quieter setting, consider visiting during the earlier afternoon. For a more festive experience, go in the evening, but be prepared for a larger crowd and potentially standing-room only. If the bar is too crowded, you can get a drink and find a seat in the hotel's lobby, which is also beautifully decorated. Be prepared for a higher price point for cocktails, as this is a luxury hotel bar experience.

The experience here is top notch! Racheal was the best mixologist I've ever met. I'm a bartender. She not only served the namesake Saserac above expectation, but also made the best Old Fashioned I've ever had! Rachael was my bartender, although the entire bar staff is incredibly professional, and consistently provide amazingly delicious libations. Will return, and highly recommend!

We love the Sazerac bar. Not only is it gorgeous, but the service is sublime. Cocktails are always top-notch. Sometimes, a rowdy crowd comes in and stand out like a sore thumb. (This is really more of a light jazz and good conversation kind of bar) The bar is well provisioned, and skilled staff will create exceptional libations. All the New Orleans classics are available. Best French 75 in town 😉 Also they have a really good top-shelf/Rare sips menu.

Historical landmark
Napoleon House is a historic establishment located in an 18th-century building, offering a relaxed atmosphere and classic Creole dishes. The menu features iconic New Orleans staples such as Muffulettas, Po' Boy sandwiches, and their specialty muffaletta with house-made Italian olive salad. The venue's European-styled flair and shady courtyard provide the perfect setting to immerse oneself in NOLA history while enjoying renowned Pimm's Cup cocktails.
We got seated fairly quickly and we're tucked into a little corner which in the front room. Although a little warm we weren't surprised with that since it is older historical building. We started with the charcuterie board and a pimm's flight. Both were very good. We were surprised we enjoyed the one with gin as neither of us were fans of gin normally. The tomato jam was a great addition to the different cheeses and meats. We then ordered the muffaletta sandwich and salad. The sandwich is served warmed. I originally was worried the bread was too thick it was not and was perfectly delicious. The salad was a good portion and was also very good although it does have an extra something that is different than the sandwich. We would easily order everything again and enjoyed our first dinner to NOLA ...we also left full but not miserable full. Thanks for an enjoyable dinner
Amanda — Google review
Honestly, I don't understand the high rating of this place. Google Maps says it's a restaurant, but the food is of a cafe standard. The dining room is very dark, stuffy, and hot—only the fans were working. We moved to the courtyard ourselves—at least there was some light. The tables are very small, it's hard to fit three of us, even though the table was for four. The dishes are about the same as appetizers, with a lot of them coming with bread—sandwiches, po'boys, etc. We tried the famous Muffaletta salad. Something tells me it would be delicious with real Italian salami or prosciutto. But here it's a C. The gator sausage was also questionable. The cannoli was delicious. But I liked Victoria's pastry shop better.

We went to Napoleon House to get the best versions of classic New Orleans dishes and it did not disappoint. The first time we went we got the Muffuletta, chicken & Andouille Gumbo and the charcuterie board. All were excellent and the board had a delicious spread of different foods, all were exceptional. The bread on the Muffuletta was not too thick and the sauce from the gumbo was very tasty. The second time we went was to get the Creole Jambalaya which was very good. The fresh fruit was also fresh and excellent, as was the Sazerac cocktail. On our second visit we were in the courtyard at the back which we liked the atmosphere more, it was a classic New Orleans vibe. Our server Adelle was nice and attentive 🙂, even with the place quite busy, it was not too loud and the service was great.

Absolutely loved this place! Ambience is amazing. Service is top notch and food is real good. Also the primm drink was out of this world. Special thanks to the manager of the place who showed us the second floor apartments and explained the history of the building, and also some really interesting facts about the history of New Orleans as well. It was an unique experience 🧡🧡🧡

A beautiful piece of history in a great location that serves very tasty food. Highly recommend the delicious muffaletta sandwich although the roast beef sandwich and garden salad were also tasty. Service was great and the atmosphere is quintessential New Orleans. Highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the BEST restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Food is absolutely amazing, there’s not a single bad dish and we ordered like ten things. The only problem was the busy sever even though it’s low season there… Can’t imagine what it’s like there during high season!!!

We were one of the first in time on Sunday and got a great place in the garden. Staff were accommodating and so pleasant. We had requested to move out of the sun and we were moved next to the fountain which was wonderful. My daughter loved the sounds and the fish. Food was divine. My daughter is in this pic giving her rendition of Chef's Kiss. I got a salad with lime vinaigrette and gulf shrimp, and my husband did the half portion muffaletta. He ended up needing help finishing it- great portion size. Daughter went for side jambalaya and chocolate cake.

We have been trying to get in here for quite a while, but available reservations haven’t line up with our very limited schedule in the past. We were able to go last night and it was absolutely wonderful, the staff were all very friendly and very attentive. The drinks came quickly once our order was put in even though the bar had many other patrons, and they were delicious and strong. We ordered the navy grog and the porch light to begin as those are our standard drink orders in our tiki bar at home and we were very pleased with the Latitude 29 versions! The recipes they use are absolutely delicious and consistency from one drink to the next, spot on. We ordered some appetizers and they were super yummy, you have to try the pimento cheese Rangoon it’s fried to a perfect crisp and the filling is so yummy!! 10/10 this should be on your list of places to stop when you’re in New Orleans, make sure you give yourself enough time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and your drinks, we could’ve stayed all night if we didn’t have later plans to meet up with some friends!

We went here for dinner tonight around 615. They are a cute little place. We were seated near the door, so I don't know how far it goes back. Looked to be about 20ish tables with a side for the bar. Kitchy Tiki Decor, super fun details. We got seated pretty quickly, our Server was awesome. I want to say her name was Max, brought a carafe of water which she replaced when we drank it all. She made helpful suggestions on portion size. We ended up getting the pork Bao buns and the Stuffed Cornish Hen which both had cute names. The pork was absolutely amazing. I regretted offer to split with my husband as I would have kept both. The hen was definitely enough for two people to split. The only issue was it was tough to see the bones in the darkened restaurant, but then we played with the light on the table and made it brighter. It was worth the work as it was delicious. The offered a complimentary shot, but we were drinking tonight, so she very sweetly brought us stickers with the check, which clearly they usually give to kids, and it made us laugh. The people around us seemed to super enjoy the shots and one table ordered more. All in all great dinner hidden gem.

Great atmosphere and low key on the tiki aspect. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the “Bum Fries” and “Korean Fried Chicken.” This along with “Brads Banana Banshee” and a shared “Beach Bum Bowl” we were feeling great and enjoying ourselves. We just left and it’s on our loved list instead of place we want to go during our current adventures in NOLA.

Checkout the pictures from this little place. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were amazing! The garlic shrimp appetizer and Brussels sprouts were also very good. My dinner was the pork belly with egg and lo mein. The egg had a crunchy coating and was soft cooked so it created a nice sauce for the lo mein. A hint of lemon on the lo mein made a fresh combination for the egg sauce. The pork belly was nicely reduced and almost melts in your mouth. The dessert was multiple textures and flavors in a bread pudding shaped like a muffin. Come enjoy this place.....it's almost hidden....so don't miss it.

A Tiki Classic That Always Delivers – Can’t Wait for What’s Next! Beachbum Berry’s Latitude 29 is hands-down one of the best tiki bars in the country — and I’ve been to quite a few. This place nails the classic tiki vibe without feeling like a gimmick. Every visit is a reminder of how good a proper tropical cocktail experience can be. On my latest trip, I had the Ancient Mariner — a perfect balance of rum and spice — and the Mango Lasso, which was tropical, refreshing, and downright addictive. The craftsmanship behind each drink is next-level, and you can tell the staff knows their rum inside and out. I was told the menu is changing soon, and honestly, I’m excited. If this is the foundation, I can’t wait to see what new creations they roll out. Highly recommend to tiki lovers, cocktail fans, and anyone who just wants a perfect drink in a great atmosphere. Peychaud's at The Celestine is a bar located in the former home of Antoine Amedee Peychaud, the creator of Peychaud's bitters. Despite opening during the pandemic, it pays homage to New Orleans originals like the 1800s-era Roffignac and offers a serene courtyard that provides an escape from nearby bustling streets.
Stumbled upon Peychauds on a week long trip to NOLA and ended up here almost every day for a cocktail. The ambiance was perfect as were all of the cocktails we had. The French 75 and Roffignac were our favorites. Each bartender we had was friendly and made amazing cocktails. It was a wonderful reprieve from Bourbon St.

What a gem of a place! We stopped by here after a day of sightseeing in New Orleans last week. The vibe was chill and the air conditioning was blasting! It was a slow Wednesday night so we sat at the bar to soak up the cool air and rest our bones and the bartenders couldn’t have been friendlier. Good, casual conversation, great local suggestions, appropriately moody decor, stellar drinks and no Malort, a 5 star establishment in my book!! I had a classic French 75 and it was the best one I had of the whole trip! My husband had the Milk Punch and we split the Ramos Gin Fizz. All were fantastic. Should we ever make our way down there from Chicago again, it’ll be the 1st stop on our list!

Hats off to Emmett at The Market Café. He was holding a sign up bringing the people in as the Time Zone Band was playing some oldies but goodies. Emmett was a great server, the band was fabulous, and the food was delicious. The drinks were a bit weak for me but was not horrible. For an indoor and outdoor establishment, it was pretty clean. Thanks for a great time relaxing while enjoying Jackson Square and the French Market.

There are tourist traps, and then there are tourists traps. This one? The worst kind. The kind that doesn’t just catch you—it studies your Yelp history, flatters your optimism, and then serves you a mocha so forgettable it could be a decoy in a CIA training exercise. Let’s rewind. My wife and I, seekers of ambiance and occasional culinary redemption, wandered into Market Café with open hearts and low expectations. The latter proved prophetic. The first red flag? A gigantic outdoor TV broadcasting NFL like it was the Sistine Chapel of sports bars. I should’ve known then. Any place that outsources its soul to ESPN is not here to feed yours. We ordered crawfish beignets, a mocha, and a Pepsi. The beignets arrived looking like they’d been deep-fried by someone who once read about seasoning in a dream. Texture: doughy. Flavor: elusive. The mocha? A warm brown shrug. And the Pepsi, flat, uninspired, spiritually vacant. But the ice? Oh, the ice. Cold, crunchy, and emotionally available. The kind of ice that deserves its own jazz solo. Service was good, though. Our server was kind, attentive, and clearly trying to rescue the experience from the jaws of mediocrity. And of course, the company of my wife, gracious, radiant, and far more forgiving than I, was the true highlight. She found something redeeming in the mocha. She always does. She’s the kind of woman who can spot beauty in a beige wall and joy in a lukewarm beignet. I aspire to her palate and her patience. But Market Café? It’s not a café. It’s a cautionary tale. A place where flavor takes a personal day and ambiance is outsourced to a flatscreen. Would I return? Only if the ice gets promoted to entrée. Or if my wife insists. And she might, she’s got a soft spot for underdogs and a talent for finding grace in the griddle.

Love this spot, haven’t been back in a few years! Drinks are banging, bartender super nice and friendly. She is the definition of hospitality. You have to try a staple the muffuletta, I got a half. Easily shareable. The Bloody Mary was the pick me up I needed after my hangover.

Manolito is a cozy Cuban-inspired bar and restaurant located on Dumaine Street in New Orleans. The intimate, bilevel space offers a homey ambiance perfect for enjoying Cuban cuisine and frozen cocktails. The bartenders at Manolito are known for their spectacular array of slushies, including classic Floridita Daiquiris and double-blended Banana Daiquiris with Jamaican rum, banana liqueur, and lime.
What an absolutely AMAZING place! I felt like I was right back in Miami when we walked through the doors. They have an awesome and innovative drink menu and they absolutely CRUSHED with their food. It tasted like my friends, grandma’s home cooked meal. The service was absolutely phenomenal & it was such a chill and vibey atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back whenever I’m in NOLA.

Adorable little comfort Cubans and truly delicious and fresh cocktails. Cubans are small but fresh and delicious with extra cheese, a perfect mid day snack. The real draw is the cocktails, frozen, shaken, stirred and poured with exactly the right liquor to make them great

I read about this place in the Conde Nast Traveler magazine, and I am so glad we went! It reminds you of some place you might be in Cuba with great decor. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We sat on the patio and got a couple of drinks (a frozen daquiri and a tossed beverage) and ceviche. Some of the best ceviche I've ever had. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture. Everything was well thought out and perfectly executed. This place is on our short list when we come back to New Orleans!

We LOVED Manolito. Everything we got was divine, from food to cocktails. The blended cocktails were perfection - not too sweet, real ingredients. We absolutely loved the olives, croquettes (a must!!!), the Cuban, and the arroz con pollo with the Maduros added and eaten together (the perfect combination - reminded us so much of when we had this in Costa Rica). Very cute establishment with a nice patio too. Highly recommend! It’s a must stop.

Great food! Went here for coolinary and loved the croquettas, chicken and rice and flan! They hit the mark on all three! Don’t drink alcohol but the drinks menu looked great. Will definitely be coming back next year for coolinaey again.

Best food I've had in the quarter. Had a hectic day with two interviews, missed lunch, second interview went til almost 4 - they told me to check this place out. Ran over, starving, ordered the Manolita Frita and a cocktail ... Best decision all week. Killer sandwich, great cocktail, and wonderful service. Fast too. Awesome seating options with a small bar, upstairs, and back courtyard. Doesn't feel touristy at all, feels very of the place, of New Orleans. Can't wait to come back.

While exploring the French Quarter, I discovered Manolito through Resy app, a hidden gem with wonderful ambiance that's easy to miss but worth finding. The staff provides truly exceptional service, and the food presentation is absolutely stunning. I sampled the guava margarita, ham and cheese croquettes, smash burger, and pina colada. While the flavors didn't quite match the high expectations set by the beautiful presentation and glowing reviews, the quality of ingredients and culinary creativity clearly shine through. The team's outstanding hospitality makes this a lovely spot to visit, and I believe with some refinement to the flavor profiles, Manolito has tremendous potential to become a standout destination. I look forward to seeing how the menu continues to evolve.

Erin Rose is a lively Irish pub located just off Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It's known for its casual atmosphere, offering cocktails, casual food, and a jukebox for entertainment. The bar attracts a diverse crowd of artists, musicians, travelers, and locals who appreciate the vibrant community vibe. Special events like costume contests after Jim Monaghan's Halloween Parade and St. Patrick's Day celebrations with green beer are popular here.
Erin Rose in New Orleans is a must-visit for their iconic frozen Irish coffee—don’t forget to add an extra shot of Jameson for an even richer experience. It’s absolutely delicious and worth every sip. The bar has a cozy and vibrant vibe, making it a great spot to hang out. There’s also a po’boy counter in the back with rave reviews, though we didn’t get a chance to try it. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area!
Vamsi K — Google review
One of our favourite bars in NOLA! A lively Irish Pub with a great atmosphere. Due to the New Orleans summer heat I refrained from ordering my usual pint of Guinness. Instead we both opted for their iconic Frozen Irish Coffee. It was divine. At $4 it is also represented great value for money. We opted to add the whisky shot top up which added $10 each. Despite the additional cost I would definitely recommend adding it! Alongside the hand grenade it was our favourite drink of the trip. The bartender here was fantastic - an old school throwback. It was also nice to sit around the bar, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. This place is a must visit down Bourbon Street.
Ben H — Google review
Definitely one of the most famous bars in all of New Orleans they have the best Irish coffee that the land has to offer. The bartenders are always great and everybody that finds a seat of the bar is always friendly. They have a decent selection of booze and cold beer. There's a lot of cool stuff to look at on the wall and some badass merch to take home. Try the food in the back!
T L — Google review
Stepping into Erin Rose is like stumbling into the beating heart of New Orleans’ local scene—a gritty, unpretentious gem that’s as authentic as it gets. This isn’t just a bar; it’s a vibe, a slice of the city’s soul where locals and savvy travelers mingle over some of the coldest, best-value drinks you’ll find anywhere. The drinks are straightforward, ice-cold, and shockingly affordable, served with a side of character that only a true neighborhood haunt can deliver. The atmosphere is electric, with a dive-bar charm that’s equal parts chaotic and cozy. You can’t just hear about Erin Rose—you have to feel it, smell the history in the walls, and toast with the eclectic crowd. Stop by, grab a drink, and let this iconic spot show you what New Orleans is all about. It’s a must-visit that leaves you with stories to tell.

We went in at about noon today and were met by fantastic service by the sweet redheaded female bartender. Hot Tin is a chic rooftop bar located at the Pontchartrain Hotel in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. The bar offers dramatic panoramic views of the cityscape, making it a unique and romantic setting. The decor features remnants of love letters and other romantic artifacts, creating a post-colonial loft-like atmosphere. Hot Tin is known for its craft cocktails, including classic drinks like Moscow Mules as well as their own creative twists such as The Skyliner and The Seersucker.
I loved this rooftop spot. I was visiting Nola and a local recommended it. The view was absolutely stunning and gave the perfect backdrop of the city. The venue itself had a dark, sexy vibe that made it feel both chic and intimate. Definitely a great place to enjoy a drink and soak up the atmosphere.

A total vibe! A rooftop bar with views of the New Orleans Skyline. Great music and great drinks. Seating was limited due to 2 college graduations on the same weekend but we made it work.
Tamika H — Google review
Went to Hot Tin on my first visit to NoLa and this bar is a must see. The view of the city and the skyline is gorgeous. Drinks area really good and the service is honestly very quick. They also have a pitcher of water for you to fill up. Lots of stairs to climb if you can't catch the elevator.
Shoshana A — Google review
I saw a video about the Hot Tin on TikTok and immediately wanted to check it out! This roof top bar is on the edge of the Garden District and has great drinks with an awesome view. The bartenders were friendly and didn’t mind answering questions about the neighborhood. It’s at the top of the hotel Pontchartrain, so if you’re using Apple Maps to get there, make sure you’re looking for the hotel and not the bar, as we didn’t see a sign for the bar on the street. Make sure you’re paying attention to the elevator that you’re taking up, as we didn’t pay attention and ended up having to walk up five flights of stairs because we took the hotel elevator, not the elevator that went up to the Hot Tin. We tried the High Violet and the beer “90s Women Power Ballads” from the brewery Brieux Carre. We enjoyed the beer so much we actually went to the brewery several times during our stay - we would’ve never know about Brieux Carre if we hadn’t gone to the Hot Tin!

Awesome views. Very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights—but that’s expected. Good mix of patron age but definitely skews younger. Expensive drinks but they’re very good. Water stations are readily available and there are multiple bathrooms so the wait isn’t usually too long.

I always want rooftop bar hopping so we had the opportunity this weekend and this place was our last stop because close at 1am and had the most beautiful view than the others but the only thing that I don’t like was the seeing young crowd and obviously we felt more old that normally 😂 but still we were available to seat and enjoy our drinks with the amazing view. So if you are young and like party with a view this is your place to visit in New Orleans.

Probably my favorite spot in Mid City. Love the staff, and they make great cocktails. Great food vendors come through here, and they have cool art/book vendors as well. Queer Friendly and Welcomed.

I've been hanging out on this side of the Greenway as of late and bar hopping around this area. I really like this bar even if I've only been twice. First time I popped in, they were having a dance party and the DJ was doing a good job spinning. The place was packed, everyone dancing, playing pool and having a good time. Oddball me finds a spot at the bar and starts reading. But it's NOLA so by the end of the night I've made friends and end up at some strangers house party. Second time around I stumbled back from watching the game at Holy ground to drown my sorrows. Being early evening before the holidays it was basically empty. I had a couple beers, big plus for having 2 hearted, and chatted with the bartender and another couple. It feels really comfortable here. They play good music, have a pool table, they have trivia and regular DJs. The 1st time they were playing anime, plus black bartenders in mid city. Not sure if it's black owned, but I'm here to support and represent. I do want to try their kitchen, the menu looks good.

The cutest dive bar. There was a bees knees special for Thursday. They have a pool table and karaoke on thursdays "purrsday" with DJ AlleyCat. It was packed and a very fun vibe.

Classic dive bar but with a twist—a leveled-up cocktail program! Each weeknight they have a $5 cocktail which are all hand made, not some batch stuff. Crowd is chill and service is great. Can’t ask for more from a local haunt.

New favorite bar in New Orleans. Looks like a dive, and you can have a shot and a beer if you want, but the cocktails were fantastic. The Sunday morning I was there they had a food truck serving breakfast/brunch food. I couldn’t have timed it better. Great job all the way around.
Phil R — Google review
Went here recently with friends. One of the worst bar experiences in my life 😬 Drinks: EXTREMELY overpriced. For a few simple drinks (think gin and tonic) we paid $43 before tip. They came in... plastic cups. Literal plastic mardi gras cups. Not only that but they were tiny! I'm talking half a pint of lukewarm beer in a plastic cup. Mindboggling. Felt like a cheap tailgate. The non-beer drinks came to maybe the halfway point of the cup. Service: the bartender could not remember four (very basic) drinks at once and made us repeat the order multiple times. Atmosphere: weird crowd and ridiculous decorations. There's a grungy cloth sofa with weird stains, the bathrooms were disgusting. The comedy was so cringe, more laugh at than laugh with... If expensive warm drinks in plastic cups is your vibe this is the spot. Otherwise, hard avoid

Check this place out for brunch if your in Mid City, New Orleans. Good for great prices! Don't let the outside discourage you from going in. We had the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast. Yum! Also had the biscuits and gravy, they were good too. We we'll be back to try dinner. They do free food and drink specials on Mondays! Yes FREE food, each week a different theme, Puerto Rican, Pad Thai, Indian...

Small bar but a lot of fun. Great atmosphere. We had popcorn chicken, home made chips, and the spice chicken sandwich. It’s the best spicy chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Not too spicy, more like a sweet and spicy sauce but I would travel here just to get another one. Great selection of beers and the cocktails were great.

The drinks were ok. We seemed to miss happy hour every where we went. Why 2 stars? Drinks ok, but we ordered the chop salad. Whaaaat!!! Nothing but spinach and a few shredded carrots for almost $13.00. We got it to go and didn’t look at it until we got back in the room. RIPOFF!!

Not sure what the hype is about, because it's nothing special. I've traveled the world and been to numerous pubs and bars. Good beer, yes. Nice atmosphere too. When rating "service" there's no option for N/A, because there is none. It's basically self-serve. No employees told me, so I had to interrupt another table that had food to ask them where my food was supposed to be coming from, after I ordered it via a QR code. Lol. Go to the brewery next door. Much much more friendly and attentive.

Loved this place! Huge bar area with plenty of seats. They also have table seating inside and outside. This is a great place to watch a game and relax. Staff is awesome…friendly and welcoming. Slid in late, just before the kitchen was about to close, but the cook was cool and took our order with a smile.🙂 Ordered the corned beef sandwich and hotdog, then sat at the bar and ordered a couple of cold beers. 10 minutes later, the order was ready and we sat at the bar to eat and watch the basketball playoffs. Cool Irish bar in mid city, it's dog and kid friendly (oddly). I've been a bunch of times recently and have only had good experiences. It's almost always full inside no matter what time they're open. They do open early occasionally to watch futbol games. You can get a proper pint, but I really wish they had their Smithwicks on nitro. I've had a couple of things from the kitchen and the food is on point as well. If it's nice outside you can watch the games at their picnic tables. Pretty good bloody's too.

Perfectly poured Guinness pints. Decent drink prices. Food is overpriced and plain though. $19.25 + tax for a flavorless burger and fries on a stale sesame seed bun, way too expensive for Mid City. The fish and chips was so over-fried that it was essentially fish jerky. Great pub, but they REALLY need to get their food program under control.

My husband and I loved this play to watch football games. We love the chicken wings with buffalo sauce and the kitchen staff were so nice and friendly. The only downside part about the food is we did not enjoy the fish and chips and chicken tendies as they were so bland. I think it needs seasoning before frying it. The sauces did not help to make it taste better. That doesn’t mean we will not come back here. I think an honest review will help to fix the issue with the food. ImTheir fries soooo good!!!

This is, without a doubt, my favorite bar in New Orleans. They can get pretty slammed on weekends, of course, but the weekdays are where they really shine in my opinion. The bar becomes much more personal. I’ve met so many interesting people. The bartenders are top notch. The happy hour is great. The single barrel sazerac is my favorite, the whiskey and a shot for $10 is a great deal, but the happy hour old fashioned is definitely my go-to because of price and quality. You will not find a better $6 old fashioned. You will not find a better bar in the city.

We will definitely be back to Barrel Proof! My wife and I stumbled onto this gem, and had an amazing time. The selection of bourbon was impressive, and the bartenders took great care of us. I was so excited by a bar that supposedly has a legit whisky menu. They do not, it is completely show. I ordered 4 single malts they were out of each. The bartenders can pour a beer, but have no knowledge of whiskey. If you want a general beer bar, pull up and order a pbr, if you are a. Discerning whiskey drinker look elsewhere.

We didn’t get anything because the bar tender was rude to our friend. She opened the door to look for another person in our and he replied “Thanks for buying a drink” in a very disrespectful manner. We tried to let it go but after asking for him to cash out our voucher he specifically said “I’m getting to you last” with an attitude and proceeded to make us wait while he service patrons that walked in well after us. Birthday trip to NOLA tainted by a misunderstanding and an unnecessary attitude. Never coming back.

Popular neighborhood watering hole I frequent often as it's in my friend's neighborhood. Couldn't think of a place that matches its name more. I always have a good time and meet new people. Bartenders are awesome AF, they even half remember me even though I show up once every 3mo or so. They also have food at times outside, haven't figured out when exactly that happens, but it's always good. Last several times have been Filipino, but I've heard of the legendary Thai. Not that this place needs much hype as I regularly see it on Nola bar lists. Inside and outside will pack out on the weekends.

Okay, buckle up, because I'm about to tell you about the absolute gem of New Orleans, the place that sets the bar (pun intended!) so high, every other watering hole just fades into the background. I'm talking about Pals Lounge, the undisputed king of the New Orleans bar scene. If you haven't been, stop what you're doing and get there immediately. This isn't just a 10/10 review; it's a love letter. From the moment you step inside, Pals envelops you in its unique magic. The atmosphere is electric, a perfect blend of sophisticated charm, and unpretentious warmth. It's the kind of place where you feel equally comfortable dressed to the nines or rocking your favorite jeans. The lighting is just right – creating a cozy, intimate vibe that encourages conversation and connection. Forget those loud, overcrowded tourist traps; Pals is where you go to actually enjoy your drink and the company you're with. And speaking of drinks...oh my goodness, the cocktails. These aren't your run-of-the-mill, sugary concoctions. The bartenders at Pals are true artists, crafting innovative and classic cocktails with an unparalleled level of skill and passion. They use only the freshest ingredients, and their attention to detail is simply astounding. Whether you're a seasoned cocktail aficionado or someone who just appreciates a well-made drink, Pals will blow you away. But Pals is more than just amazing drinks and a killer atmosphere. It's the people who truly make it special. The bartenders are incredible – friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional experience. They remember your name, your drink, and always have a smile ready. It's clear they love what they do, and that energy is contagious. And it's not just their team; the patrons at Pals are a diverse and interesting mix of locals and visitors, all coming together to enjoy the unique vibe. You're bound to strike up a conversation with someone fascinating and leave with a few new friends. Honestly, I could go on and on about Pals Lounge. The music is always on point, the prices are reasonable for the quality you're getting, and the location is perfect. But the real magic of Pals is something you have to experience for yourself. It's the feeling you get when you walk in, the feeling you have when you leave – completely satisfied and already planning your next visit. Pals Lounge isn't just a bar; it's an experience. It's the heart and soul of the New Orleans bar scene, and it’s, without a doubt, a 10/10 in every single way. Go. Now. You won't regret it.

The Chandelier Bar is a luxurious small plates restaurant located in the heart of the Central Business District in New Orleans. Guests will love its beautiful lobby with 15,000 twinkling crystals comprising the centerpiece chandelier, as well as its signature Chandelier Martini.
There aren't enough stars available to give the accolades to this bar and staff that they truly deserve. We usually stay at the hotel across the street from here, and after being berated by hotel staff and having a horrible stay, a friend recommended that we go and have a drink at the Chandelier Bar in the Four Seasons. To be honest, I am usually intimidated by luxury hotels like this, but even though we were casually dressed we were welcomed like royalty from the time we went to the front door which was graciously opened for us, to the mixologists who gave us white glove service like a true hospitality professional does. Let's be honest, we were there for photos as well as a drink. Their Chandelier Martini was named the best in the US - a title that we found was well deserved. The mixologists were so kind, when we asked to change seats (so we could get better photos) they were happy to oblige. Craig and Clayton were very respectful of our space -they let us start the conversation, and when we asked them about the different cocktails, who designed them, and the "spirit forward profiles" - love that! - they were so knowledgeable and kind about sharing their experiences - it completely changed our moods, and made our trip. We are already planning our next trip so we can try more of the menu, and needless to say, we won't be staying across the street again! It doesn't cost a thing to be kind and to be in a good mood, but being in a bad mood can be very costly for you, and for the business that you represent. This was a great reminder of why places like the Four Seasons are such a great value in the long run - I will save up to be treated with respect instead of being berated, and I am looking forward to spending many more evenings in the Chandelier Bar with this incredible staff.

Great place to get a high end cocktail that is not in a plastic cup. Ambience is great- employees are nice- knowledgeable and attentive. If you are in the area stop by! (We never ordered and food to try)

Delicious drinks, amazing ambience, and lovely service. We came to the Four Seasons originally to get out of the sun, but willfeontly consider staying there next time due to the amazing service and immaculate property. As soon as we even turned down the path leading to the entrance, there were several door men greeting us and showed us to the bar. A very kind lady came by and gave us glasses of ice water and a menu nearly in the same second we sat down. We ordered two drinks, the Cocktail Orleans, and a Pink Pony Club. Both were delicious, but the ambience and service will bring us back.

Stopped in for a drink. Great service and delicious cocktails. We were there during the day but I think it would be very pretty at night as the chandelier is a great focal point of the bar.

Love this little spot! It’s located in The Four Seasons New Orleans, also one of my favorite spots to staycation! Service has always been great when I’ve visited. The drinks are always yummy and it’s literally a cute bar— Can’t help but to enjoy the atmosphere + drinks! I ordered the chandelier martini, very strong but good. The martini glass is actually made from the same glass as the chandelier so that’s a cool fun fact. Highly recommend!

We found the Chandelier Bar to be a very attractive and well decorated spot. The cocktails are about the same as you might find in any upscale lounge though a bit more expensive. Service is good and friendly though a little slower than normal. Overall the Chandelier Bar is worth a visit and worthwhile seeing if you are staying at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Pork belly and pickled crab claws were almost as good as the grilled pimento cheese sandwich. Beautifully done. Casey served us at the bar and made perfect drinks. He also recommended several follow up bars to try. Caribbean Sling was an amazing drink, like grilled pineapples. Plenty of ultra high end offerings, like a Macallen 50…???!!!.

Pat O'Brien's is a renowned establishment located just off Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Since its founding in 1942, it has become famous for several reasons. The bar boasts an iconic flaming courtyard fountain and is credited with inventing the Hurricane cocktail, a sweet and tangy concoction made with rum, passion fruit syrup, and lime juice. While there are some disputes about the drink's origins, Pat O'Brien's remains its spiritual home.
Stopped in on a rainy day in New Orleans. We couldn’t come to Nola without having a Hurricane in O’Briens. The place is beautiful, very atmospheric. They have an outside section but it was raining so we sat in by the front windows looking out on the street through beautiful, ornate wrought iron shutters. We had our Hurricanes which were delicious and refreshing. Restrooms were spotless. I really liked this place.

Pat O'Brien's is a must visit if you are in New Orleans especially the Bourbon St area. They very well know for their Hurricanes but after enjoying my meal the feature should also include the Roasted Beef Poboy with Gravy. It was absolutely fantastic. It had tons of meat and every bite was delicious. The Bloody Mary Wings were quite good as well. They were very meaty and not spicy so anyone can enjoy them. And of course the Hurricane was very good and a must try while in New Orleans. Thank you to the crew there for a great meal and experience.

Came specifically for the Hurricane, was the best during my trip. Visited multiple times and enjoyed the scenery. Didn't order any food. Next time i will check out the food. Also i later learned of the entertainment. The outdoor garden is so beautiful day or night. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Do yourself a favor and get the originator of the Hurricane, cheers to Pat O'Brien's.

It is one of the best place for cocktails you can find within New Orleans old town. They can serve you in a glass or for to go. If you want to have a real glass for a good photo shooting, you have to tell the bartender or the waitress when you order. The cocktails were really good as you can get a full load of liquor. Which is really good for the price you paid.

I luv the atmosphere. I luv the various areas, always one to fit whatever my mood is, that I can sit where I please as long as there's room .. and no one bothers me. The food is good. I haven't had everything yet but I like what I've had. Big Love, PO'B!

Pat O'Brien's was a super cute bar/restaurant. It's outdoors, but you have to walk into a cave-like area, and the vibes are great. Our group had already arrived before us, and when I came to sit down, the waitress was super nice and helped me pull up a chair. I didn't order anything, but the Bride ordered a drink, and it came super quick, and she said it tasted good, so that I will take her word for it.

Hands down my favourite place around Bourbon. Love the hurricane. It is a must-try drink there. Liked the bloody Mary too. Place is usually crowded. Ive only been there on weekends and have seen long lines of people waiting to be seated. The main attraction is the piano bar which is amazing. Amazing artists singing song requests. Great to hangout with your friends and sing along with the crowd. They also have a patio. Tried ordering food but they said they are out of food. The servers were friendly despite of the crowd they have to deal with.

Talk about tradition! Pat O'Brien's has been a favorite of mine since my college days. I am now 65 years old. From the outdoor patio & fountain, to the rustic carved wooden bar, to the green blazer waiters, to it's classic Hurricane cocktail & souvenir glasses. I no longer live in New Orleans, but I frequently come here whenever I am in town to relive the nostalgia.

The Elysian Bar, located within the Hotel Peter & Paul in New Orleans, offers a unique dining and drinking experience. The Southern-inspired seasonal small plates menu includes dishes like Roasted Gulf Shrimp with pineapple and Calabrian chili puree and Beet Salad with cashew cream. Craft cocktails are also a highlight. Guests can choose to dine al fresco in the courtyard, in The Parlour with its velvet curtains and fireplaces, or at the bar with its impressive design features.
The building is super cute! I love the French decor and how each room is different! I would recommend reservation,if not you will be outdoors. My husband and I visited on a busy night during Halloween week without a reservation and were greeted by Sofia, who was super kind and helpful. She was able to offer us a quaint non-traditional table that was perfect for us! The atmosphere here is outstanding — and the service, food, and drinks were 5 stars. Jessica, the manager, is lovely. She made time to talk with us, answer questions, and share stories. Both she and Sofia helped make our experience extra special. Oh, definitely get the opera cake! And be sure to check out the outdoor patio if you're seated inside. Thanks for an amazing date night, y'all! We'll be back next time we're in town 🥂

This place was absolutely fantastic! I came here for brunch several times during my stay in New Orleans. I ordered the avocado toast multiple times and it was amazing. Dequincy was hands down the best host my group and I could’ve asked for, he was friendly, attentive, and full of great local recommendations that made us feel right at home. He truly went above and beyond. We even came back later in the evening to try the drinks he suggested, and they ended up being some of the best cocktails we had in the city. Don’t miss this spot and definitely ask for Dequincy!

This place is everything you’d want for a cute dining experience. Chic space, well decorated and everything is so well curated to make the space incredibly inviting. The food…. holy it all really blew my mind. The honey butter I could eat for the rest of my life and the salmon roe on the crudo literally burst in your mouth. This is so far the best place I’ve eaten in New Orleans! Go here for sure.

My cousin and I pulled up to The Elysian Bar, which is an extension of the Peter & Paul Hotel. I believe they host two monthly installments, and this night featured DJ Jess, one of my absolute faves in the city! I’d never been before, and when we arrived, there was even a brass band practicing next door, which felt so New Orleans. Walking in, we were greeted right away. The place is stunning, atriums, old parlor rooms, nooks, and cozy corners everywhere. Think old-school New Orleans mansion turned stylish bar. It feels like you stepped into a period film, but with better cocktails. And when the sunlight hits the bar, the wood literally glows, it’s so gorgeous. Since I wanted to sit close to the music, we were placed outside in their courtyard under the cutest mustard yellow umbrellas. Now let’s get into the food & drinks: • Housemade Focaccia Bread with Honey Butter – 20/10. The STAR. Warm, fluffy, buttery perfection. I would honestly come back just for this. • Mai Tai – 10/10. This drink humbled me fast lol. Probably the best Mai Tai I’ve ever had. Smooth and balanced, but it does not play. • Smoked Trout – 7/10. It came with mushrooms, mushroom cracker, and was supposed to include smoked oyster dressing. After the fact, I don’t think mine had the dressing (I even went looking for pics online to check), so it felt like something was missing. It was still good, but could’ve used more salt or herbs to round it out. Also, Tuesdays are Oyster Club nights from 5–10pm! If you’re an oyster lover, this is your time to shine. The vibe was relaxed but fun, I’ll definitely be back to try brunch.

The Will & The Way is a new addition to the French Quarter, taking over the space of Longway Tavern. This establishment offers a variety of dishes from charcuterie and burgers to salads and bar snacks, all served in a setting that preserves 18th-century architecture with a charming brick-lined courtyard. Operating hours are from Wednesday to Sunday, with brunch available on weekends. The ambiance is described as cool and impressive, making it an ideal spot for socializing with friends or having a date night.
Came here on a Saturday night during our visit to NoLa. The bartenders were great and fairly efficient considering the lines at the bar. We ordered a couple of cocktails and the spicy chicken over grits and fries. The chicken was nice and crispy and had a kick which made the whole dish enjoyable for a late night app. There was no line when we came in, but when leaving there was a line waiting to get in. The food came out really quickly which was surprising considering how busy it was. Our only big issue was the line for the restrooms which took a while since they only have 2 individual restrooms so a line formed that went half way through the patio. Overall, it was a nice place to pop into! Even if it was busy, we didn't feel like we couldn't move or get through the crowds so they do a nice job at controlling capacity.

My team and I traveled to New Orleans for a national conference. We wanted a space to host our peers from all over the country and chose The Will & The Way as our venue. Absolute 10/10 experience. Carolyn and Tom were the best bartenders I could have asked for. They were attentive and played music for us and really embraced us as visitors to the city. They also were conscious of our spending limit for expenses and made sure all of guests enjoyed great well crafted drinks. We literally packed the place out on a Tuesday night. The appetizers were awesome. And they even had a patio area out back that people could enjoy as there were so many people there. Thank you to this amazing venue for taking such great care of my team and our guests. I will would highly recommend for group outing.

If this isn’t your favorite bar in the area, then you are wrong. The fries? Crispy. The brussels? Fancy and gourmet. The daiquiri? Perfection! I would have never wanted to try a daiquiri as I’ve always found them too sweet but I came here and asked if I could have a gallon to go. The vibes here are elite and I will back again and again. Tom is a great lad and bartender! If this was back home…. I’d be there multiple times a week.

We ate dinner here on May 21, 2025 while on vacation in NOLA. First, I liked sitting in the courtyard; however, we did need the fans, but they were blowing so hard that we couldn’t sit in front of them. Everything kept blowing away. The service was…meh. You have to go up to the bar to order. My husband said you had to be a hot, blond, female to get waited on because they ignored him for quite a while. Once we placed our order, our food came out quickly. My husband had the burger and it was okay. I had the Sweet Potato al Pastor Tacos because they were gluten free. These were some of the best tacos I have ever eaten…and I’m not vegetarian. I did like that gluten free choices were marked on the menu. No one really comes and checks on you even though they did bring out the food.

The Old Absinthe House is a historic saloon located on Bourbon Street, dating back to 1806. It's famous for its unique absinthe cocktails and quirky atmosphere. The bar is known for serving the signature Absinthe House Frappe, a drink that originated from the coffee house that was later renamed as the Old Absinthe House due to its popularity.
Came into absinthe on a Sunday night. 7/27 Met the bartenders, Kaitlin and Chappy. Super nice and knowledgeable. Chappy explained absinthe so well. Very patient. It was super awesome. Told me how to pour and serve absinthe when I go to my hometown. She was freaking awesome. You got a great staff.

This is a real piece of history, and a very welcoming environment. Our bartender Carina was the absolute best. Very attentive and gave a fun and concise history lesson about the history of not only The Old Absinthe House, but the spirit itself. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about Absinthe so if you ever wanted to try it, this is the place. Indulged in a Planter’s Punch and my husband had a beer. Service was so friendly, speedy, and professional considering we were there on the night before Halloween and the town was all a’flutter. My husband had to help me finish it as I had already indulged in a Hurricane down the road and he didn’t really put a dent in it. It was DELISH! I really enjoyed it! If you want some MAJOR bang for your buck (they add a 151 floater!), and are tired of Hurricanes, head to the Old Abisinthe House on the corner of Bourbon and Bienville. Be sure to read this establishment’s history on their webpage for an even greater appreciation of the site.

One of the oldest bars on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The walls ate adorned with thousands of business cards and a old world feel. No food available but great craft drinks and many made with absinthe. I tried the "Deadly at Dusk" which was a combination of absinthe, cream de violet, sparkling wine and a squeeze of lemon. The drink was a hazy purple with a combination of flavors. I choose the green absinthe at 136 proof. One was perfect and more than that I would have been deadly. Easily accessible right on Bourbon Street, you will see the sign.

Black Penny is a refurbished bar located on the outskirts of the historic French Quarter. The bar room and lounge, housed in a 19th-century building, offer a relaxed atmosphere for locals and off-shift service-industry workers. With over 100 craft beers available in cans adorning the walls, patrons can rely on the attentive bartenders to guide them through the selection. Additionally, rare brews are complemented by pop-up food stalls.
We decided to pre-game our ghost tour at the Black Penny since it's across from Louis Armstrong Park. It's kinda dimly lit with dark wood & brick inside - perfect for a hot New Orleans afternoon. It wasn't too busy and the bartender served us quickly and had time to chat a little bit. The cocktails were very good and decently priced. Would definitely drink here again.

We went here the night before Halloween for bingo. It was pretty packed since it's a small little place. But I thought it was really cool that the bingo was free and they still gave out prizes. Seemed like everyone knew each other so maybe it's a local bar? Anyway it was very fun. I wish they would have done the bingo closer together since they were every half hour and it only took 5 minutes for someone to get a bingo. It would have been more fun if it could have been faster but I get they want people to stay and drink. We stayed for three games and then gave up.

First, let me say that I am a bartender. I have NEVER let anyone leave my service area without their debit/credit card. Also let me tell you that the service was impeccable. However, I had to return to collect my credit card, which to me is unacceptable. I ordered 1 drink to go and had not been drinking prior to this. Based on my experience this is unacceptable. I do take some responsibility but the bartender knew he still had my card...I was not running a tab.

Here for a pop-up Vietnamese Style Crawfish Event; we journeyed in to wait for the crawfish order to be ready. Basic bar, with seemingly familiar to the place 'bar flys' as I know this is a frequent stop during Mardi Gras Festivities. The crowd here on a Thursday night was plentiful, idk if that was because of the Crawfish or if this was the norm; either way, we blended in and enjoyed the night. Bartenders were friendly as were the patrons. Indoors there were 4-5 table & seating areas for you to cop-a-squat and be a lookie-lou or enjoy your company, whatever your pleasure. Lots of eclectic decor to feast your eyes on. Quite dimly lit, but it helps to set the mood though. Drink prices were fair & the drinks were tasty as well. I'm not a fan of game hunting and my hope is that the BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED RHINO HEAD on the wall near the restrooms was a fake.

Established in 1856, Tujague's is a renowned dining destination in New Orleans, offering a traditional fixed-price Creole menu. This historic restaurant has been a favorite for over 165 years and continues to captivate French Quarter patrons with its delightful cuisine. Originally catering to merchants at the nearby port, Tujague's now serves up authentic Creole dishes and specialty cocktails. The restaurant's bar is the oldest standing bar in the country and is famous for classic New Orleans cocktails.
This was just incredible. We had the 5-course meal with the wine pairing. Every bite, every morsel of food tasted incredible. From the turtle 🐢 soup to the bread pudding 🍮, every bite tasted like heaven. The waiter Victor was simply incredible. He made us belly laugh all night long. Truly an unforgettable meal and one of the highlights of visiting New Orleans. Highly recommend if your in the area.

We had an amazing dinner at Tujague’s! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish cooked to perfection. What really stood out was the incredibly friendly and welcoming service—truly some of the best we’ve ever experienced. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole evening memorable. Highly recommend Tujague’s for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in New Orleans!

Had I made this review in 2021, I would have given a 5 star review. Mr Greg was spectacular! I also miss the 250+ year old mirror. For those who do not know, this is the home of the Grasshopper. No, it is not that weird thing that you get at many places. It is so good and light. I hope that the recipe will continue to flourish as people deserve to experience the drink the right way. The new location of Tujague's does not have the same feel. Also, the bartenders did not have anywhere near the same personality, skill, and overall presence that Mr Greg had. They did keep their collection of mini bottles which, at the time was one of the largest in the world. Still worth a visit, just not the same. Including some older photos and more current.

My favorite NOLA restaurants are the ones that have been here for ages. Tujague’s meets that criteria and then some. It’s been going since 1856 (and therefore is older than my home state of Kansas)! The food is wonderful, beautiful rooms, excellent old-school service and attention to detail. This time we went for brunch. Boudin balls, pain perdu, gumbo, and eggs guichet, with French bread and butter, and chicory coffee. Yum all the way around. Please patronize places like Tujague’s and skip the touristy chains. You won’t regret it.
Kimberley K — Google review
The restaurant was amazing, made only better by the service of Devaune and Martine. The food was probably the best we had in New Orleans. The bbq shrimp was the reason we came, but we also had shrimp & grits and I had a wedge salad (a little sleeper hit) and the grasshoppers are delightful. We will be back. Apparently from meeting other diners, it’s a common tradition to make it your go-to NOLA restaurant for generations.

Our final group-tour dinner was at this legendary spot, one of the oldest restaurants in New Orleans. Simply charming southern setting, wonderful service, and great food. Opening bread salvo was to die for. I got the filet with mashed potatoes and green beans, my better half had chicken. They topped it off with a marvelous creme brulee (why the male servings were larger than the female portions, will have to ask the manager). Perfect meal to end an ear-opening music-history tour.
Don Z — Google review
This was a nice place, food was really good, we tried different options on the menu and everything was delicious. The service wasn't the best though, the waitress wasn't very nice and they made a mistake with one of my friends'orders - we were a big group and we all had our meals on time except him because they just forgot about it, he had his order around a half an hour after us. It was not a good experience.
Carolina A — Google review
Had a 730 reservation, we opted for the 5 course meal. It took over an hour to get our first course and we finished dessert at 10:30. There were periods of 30+ minutes where we were not checked on and they spent the vast majority of our stay handling closing prep work. At the very least the food was very good but the service and wait greatly outweighed it for us. After leaving I realized I forgot an item upstairs so I ran up and when I got to the table our waitress looked and me and said “what” with a very stern voice as if I was bothering her. We will not be returning.

Snake and Jake's Christmas Club Lounge is a legendary dive bar located in the Uptown neighborhood near Tulane University. The small dilapidated shack offers a unique setting with retro holiday decor year-round, creating a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere. Open until the early hours of the morning, it's a popular spot for late-night revelry. The lounge has been frequented by celebrities like Anthony Bourdain and George Clooney, adding to its allure.
Loved this bar! We had heard about this unique bar prior to our trip so we decided to make an effort to check it out and we’re so glad that we did! These guys have ALL the Christmas lights and they are strung up everywhere inside as it’s their only form of lighting. The staff were super relaxed and the vibe is awesome with a mix of locals and travellers (like ourselves) and everyone was made to feel welcome. We loved the concept and will definitely be back next time we visit NOLA!

The best dive bar I've ever visited! A real New Orleans local spot that's such a hidden gem. Inside, lit by some Christmas lights and sometimes accompanied by some gorgeous dogs and outside feels like a total house party. A place where everyone comes together. Cheapest drinks in the world too and the kindest staff. Can't wait to come back one day.
Sophie M — Google review
Quintessential dive bar. When I say that, I mean that this is the most "diviest" dive bar that I have ever walked in to in my entire life. And, they want you to feel that. Dark, red lit barroom that has comfy seats and a long bar to sit at. There is a huge outdoor seating area for a couple or a big group. Decent prices and a warm but semi-creepy feel, which I actually loved, you should definitely come here for a visit especially if you are a fan of dive bars.
Michael K — Google review
Probably not a spot that you're going to take your mother, but let's face it - she's already in bed by the time Snake and Jake's gets going. Definitely a neighborhood spot that you could easily miss if you weren't looking for it. A great dark dive to get away to if you need a break from the normal spots and grab a cold beer.
Chris C — Google review
The quintessential dive bar. I now see why people like Anthony Bourdain loved this place so much. No tv screens, no influencers on their phones or laptops - a real bar. Such friendly and welcoming people in here too.
Graham A — Google review
Went here once two years ago and I still think about what a weird wonderful spot this is. Has the curb appeal of a tool shed and feels like a photo darkroom once you’re inside. But then step out the back door and it’s this backyard oasis full of mismatch patio furniture and big beautiful plants. Next time I’m anywhere near NOLA I will absolutely be stopping by Snake & Jake’s.
Will T — Google review
The steaks were perfect. Champagne flowed freely. Mr. Snake got in a big fight with Mr. Jake but they kissed and made up. The jugglers didn't show up so the customers decided to strip naked and roll around on the bathroom floor in protest. A meteor slammed right into the bar and that's the last thing I remember.
Aline C — Google review
I think it's a 3.5+ b/c I love quirky. I figured it would be a dive, and essentially, it was, but with so much functional coolness, you've just got to love the experience. Dark, no real parking, and tucked into an uptown neighborhood. But, for all that, you walk in, temporarily blinded by the darkness and then you adjust to the beady, red light strings and you notice there's a bar and some rustic furniture and you flash back to the real glory days of Port of Call b4 its homogenized and pasteurized modern reno. I'm left to wonder if they made burgers, would they be as good? My friend led me thru the bar that, with just a few steps, resembled a shrinking twilight zone hall to hell but once through the plastic flap curtain, opened into a backyard wonderland of giant oaks, string party lights, surrounded by uptown cottages. I loved it and could see myself there in that lovely oasis with any band and any body! This has to be why I've heard so much about this place and the reason I knew I'd be back. But then, later sitting at the rickety table inside the bar, random seeming, folks walked in with trays of food and portable stoves. They tacked up a poster that read, Taco Tuesday, who knew. Then another random guy appeared from nowhere with an accordion, sat down, and began playing. I was transported back to that gondola in Venice. Whatever he played, whoever he was, it was just perfect, random, awesome, odd, unexpected and quirky. I'll be back.

Vaughan's Lounge is a classic neighborhood dive bar located in the Bywater area of New Orleans. The venue features live music performances, with trumpeter Kermit Ruffins playing weekly. The exterior of Vaughan's is adorned with faded paint, adding to its old-school charm. This LGBTQ-owned establishment has been a staple since 1959 and offers a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for both locals and tourists.
We had such a fun, laid back time at this lounge. You could tell the patrons were like family to each other and we were warmly welcomed. Had a great hour or so watching the Saints vs. Chiefs game. Definitely a good stop if you want to experience the pride and love of the NOLA community.

Step into the Roosevelt Bar at 116 Roosevelt Way in New Orleans, and you'll instantly feel transported to a unique blend of elegance and coziness. The history of the bar, shared by our knowledgeable bartender Seattle, added an extra layer of intrigue to our experience. The story of the bar's independence from the neighboring Roosevelt Hotel is a testament to the resilience and character of its owner. The ambiance of the bar was perfect, striking the perfect balance between upscale and down-to-earth, making us feel like we had stepped into a hidden gem. And of course, we can't forget to mention Ben, the security guard, who kept us feeling safe during our late-night visit. If you're looking for an authentic and unforgettable experience in New Orleans the Roosevelt Bar is a must-visit!"

The rooftop pool bar was a great surprise to find at the hotel. Tons of open space and great breezes. But the highlight was our bartender, Coco. Her personality, sense of humor and attentiveness is reason enough to come up here. Next time we're in NOLA we'll be coming back to hang out here and chat with Coco!

The Pool Bar has a great view of a historic church. My visits here were for libations only. The bartender, Coco was great. She mixed some great drinks, and on top of that she was sweet, attentive, and a big goof ball!😁 we'll definitely be back next time we're in NOLA.
Brian S — Google review
This is one of my favorite places in the quarter. Deceiving because of the name, it’s actually not affiliated with the Roosevelt Waldorf Astoria though the service and drinks are to that level. Bridgett took great care of us remembering us after only one visit. Nice touch. This is a regular stop in Nola and will continue to be one of
Rodger S — Google review
Pro tip: the Roosevelt has two bars, and only one of them is actually the Sazerac Bar. Guess which one we accidentally went to? Yep — the wrong one. Instead of sipping a legendary Sazerac, we got served what tasted like its sad distant cousin. To make matters worse, the bartender had all the charm of a wet napkin and made us feel like we were the inconvenience. Learn from our mistake: if you want the real deal, walk past this bar and head straight into the actual Sazerac Bar inside the hotel. Your taste buds (and your mood) will thank you.

What a wonderful hidden champagne house. We had the wagyu frittes, Brussels sprouts, and the cheese wheel. Everything was so delicious. Almost missed this gem, Resy showed limited availability but the bar was completely open! Sophisticated place with lovely service & even better food! Dillon (bartender) recommended the “Never have I ever” flight - which was interesting & delicious. Dillon also suggested the oysters which were amazing, very similar to an east coast oyster with a delicate Meyer lemon mignonette & jalapeño garnish. I’m an oyster snob & these were nothing short of fabulous. I also had the shrimp chip which was also prepared well & very tasty. Although both the oysters & shrimp chip were amazing- I needed something more filling so I closed with the truffle fries. Overall a lovely experience away from the tourists & chaos. Drink bubbly everyday!

Effervescence: A Sparkling Gem Just Beyond the Quarter’s Edge. Tucked just far enough from the clamorous heart of the French Quarter to feel like a local secret, Effervescence is the kind of refined retreat that makes you slow down, breathe deep, and appreciate the art of the cocktail. From the moment you step inside, the tone is set by the bar’s sleek, polished aesthetic—impeccably clean and tastefully modern, with just enough warmth to invite lingering conversation. The atmosphere is chill without being aloof, clearly curated for those who appreciate nuance over noise. It’s a rare kind of calm that still feels alive. The star of the show, however, is the mocktail refresher—an effervescent blend that more than lives up to the bar’s name. Light on the palate yet layered in complexity, it’s the kind of drink that demonstrates a real understanding of balance: bright citrus notes, subtle herbaceous undertones, and a gentle sparkle that dances across the tongue. It’s both invigorating and satisfying, the perfect companion to a warm New Orleans evening. Effervescence excels in what many establishments overlook: restraint and detail. Service is attentive yet unobtrusive, and every aspect of the experience feels intentional. Whether you're a local looking for a serene after-work hideaway or a visitor seeking refuge from Bourbon Street’s chaos, this bar offers a welcome pause—and a reminder that some of the best treasures lie just off the beaten path. Highly recommended.

A friendly and welcoming place, whether you want a cocktail, wine or a full meal. Spacious with beautiful decor. Effervescence is a classy place to meet friends or to gather for Sunday Brunch. Their Caviar and Bagel brunch is spectacular and enough to split with a friend. The service is quick, cheerful and very good. They also have a great wine list as well as a full cocktail bar. Effervescence offers a different concept than many other establishments in the French Quarter, in a very good way. I would highly recommend stopping in for a beverage or more when in the French Quarter.

Oh what a time, oh what a time…My business partner and I decided to celebrate a milestone in our work so I suggested Effervescence because I love their Insta. It did not disappoint. The customer service was A1. If you love sparkling wine then this restaurant is a MUST. My only regret is going on a Friday night instead of the Sunday brunch because the food choices (while delicious) were limited. Final note, they warmed our brie before serving it and I fell in love!!!

Rating this one is tough. The cocktails were fantastic. The champagne flight was great. The food was very tasty and made good use of fresh herbs. One of our group had an unusual food allergy and the waitress bailed. It took another ten minutes to flag down a server and finally place a food order. My daughter and I were here for dinner the other night and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We initially came for cocktails only and had plans to eat at another restaurant. However, Matthew convinced us to try their smash burger and fries. Let me tell you...best decision! Those other dinner plans were out the window with no regrets. I am not exaggerating when I say their smash burger is one of the best I have EVER tasted. I was doing my greedy girl dance. And even the truffle fries were fantastic. It was the perfect compliment to the burger. Not to mention I am sucker for an aioli sauce. Matthew also made excellent recommendations on the cocktails, which we also enjoyed. So needless to say service at the Peacock Room was excellent. And I would be remiss if I did not mention how swanky and chic the restaurant & bar was. I would highly recommend.

Honestly recommend this place from the food and drinks to the atmosphere. We went in because it started pouring rain not expecting this to be our favorite part of our trip. From the Le Labo soap in the bathroom to the artwork on the walls, I knew this would be a great stop on my trip. The service wasn’t quite as warm as I’d expected given the southern hospitality reputation, but they were efficient. Cocktails and mocktails were fantastic, and the oysters and beef tartare completely stole the show. Finished with an espresso crème brûlée that was the perfect ending. I’ll definitely be back!

I just love this place. Been many times on multiple trips. Bartenders are always so engaging and very much about keeping you company and telling you about their drinks and oysters. On this trip, a bartender with pig tails and a cap made my time so special by telling me the back story on the gin and the oysters. Fun, smiley, knowledgeable, and just welcoming. This will always be a stop for me on my New Orleans trips. And happy hour on Mon-Thu 3-6pm has great prices and fun stuff.

We stopped into this small raw bar tucked inside Jackson Square, not really knowing what to expect — and wow, were we blown away. It turned out to be one of the best oyster bars we’ve ever been to. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately set the tone for a great experience. The oysters were fantastic and the cocktails were on point… but the real star of the show? Their Little Gem Salad. My fiancée has not stopped talking about it since — she said if she were ever on death row, that would be her final meal request. It’s that unforgettable. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and go. This place is a hidden gem with flavors you’ll be raving about long after you leave.

Great little place in DT new orleans. Giving it a 5 cause the oyster guy was great and hooked us up real good. Quite small but watching the man shuck the oysters is a full experience and you get a little lesson about the oysters too. Drinks were good and staff was great. Moody cocktail bar that is a great addition to this part of town. Very spacious with a large bar and plenty of tables. The drinks are crafted to excellence. Staff has been super rude both times I’ve been here. I went back for the vibes thinking I’d give it another chance and I instantly regretted it. The bartender was so rude this last time to the point of being embarrassing to themselves. I was on a first date and it was super awkward to navigate their negative demeanor, let alone the passive aggressive comments. They left me and my date speechless. Blatant rudeness isn’t a trait these folx should be looking for when hiring staff. This isn’t a French quarter bar.

Enjoyed some really elevated cocktails here! A jewel in the Bywater area. Bar tenders are nice and sociable! Great ambiance. I’ve been on dates there and solo. Always a vibe.

Nightbloom is my jam. I don’t get out much, but love this plaaaaace and the consistency of service. Great bar/lounge for a happy hour sip or late night dip. The craft cocktails are chef’s kiss, and even when busy, you won’t die of thirst waiting for a bartender to make eye contact….they SEE you seeing them! Appreciated indeed. The chill atmosphere, good energy, vibing tunes, and CLEAN BATHROOMS put it in my top favorite bars in the city for any occasion.

This bar was such a great spot! We grabbed a few drinks while waiting for our table at Sneaky Pickle. They don’t serve food, just drinks — but the drinks are fantastic. I had a Negroni that was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and also tried one of their special cocktails — absolutely delicious. The place wasn’t crowded when we arrived, but it filled up pretty quickly. Great vibe, great cocktails, totally worth a stop before dinner. Highly recommend!

NightBloom is my favorite bar, for so many reasons. Of course I enjoy the craft cocktails at a fair price. But also, it's a beautiful place. Clean. Nice guests. Smart bartenders. Great music! Very safe so I don't have to be overly cautious like I would at other bars. Centrally located which makes it a spot you can invite anyone.

Career Hospitality here. When the faux-Bear bartender with one strap artfully dropped on his overalls looked right in my face and then decided instead to make a second round for his buddies two seats down, that’s a hard pass. Aging hipster/transplant bar with retro 1980’s style cocktails. Apple Martini, anyone? Out of business in a year.

Bourbon O' Bar is a sophisticated, moody bar that specializes in seasonal cocktails and live entertainment. The bar uses fresh-squeezed citrus and house-made ingredients, which results in high-quality drinks. The whiskey list and classic cocktails make Bourbon O an expensive option, but it's well worth it for the variety of options on offer.
I came here 3/5 on a whim & so happy I followed my instincts. I’m so lucky to always be at the right place at the right time. We had the best bartender Dylan and he was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! He knew a lot about the drinks was very friendly and attentive. Throughout my entire trip I didn’t really sit at any bars and if I did, it would not compare to this one. This place is an absolute hidden gem and every drink I had here was top-tier. I will 100% be coming back.

This place is a cozy nook in NOLA. Great live music! They offer a proper 6 Minute Ramos Gin Fizz. Instead of a bartender/s having to shake it for the full 6 minutes, they have a machine (photo of it on the bar provided). According to their menu, they do not make a proper grasshopper but did not try it to see if it at least tasted good.

Stayed at the hotel and went in for drinks and a quick bite. The wings and fries were awesome. The beer on tap was good. The bartender was great! She made good recommendations for beers and local favorite spots for music and food. The music at night was good local jazz. The drinks never stopped flowing. Definitely stop in for good service and cold drinks.

Had a great time! The bartenders( only two) were great and were handling the masses very well. I wish I asked our bar tenders name to give him a shout out (you had an orange vest on tonight! ) as he was great! Super friendly, the drinks were top notch! The live music was so much fun as well. I’m not into massive crowds of twerking so this place was great for me! Ha! Loved the “old” timey vibes!

Of course we have some night caps here because we stay at the Bourbon Orleans everytime we come. Great spot for drink, food, and the live music is second to none. Great staff and even better vibes.

Amazing music, drink and vibes. I recommend it if you want to find a place that has jazz. I went there on Tuesday night after 11.00p.m.
Chanisa T — Google review
This is 100% relative. It’s a bar on Bourbon Street with live music. So that means it’s the same as most bars except this one had the biggest crowd and loudest crowd. Everybody was having a great time. Not to say they weren’t at other locations just not as rowdy. Never had the food so no stats there. Bottomline - if you are in the street for fun you will most likely live the place. Love it or hate it, you will visit it I am sure. No cover charge during the week. Not sure in the weekends.

We stumbled into Bourbon O Bar after a few indulgent days in NOLA, and it ended up being one of our favorite stops! I ordered my very first Ramos Gin Fizz—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It took the full six minutes to shake (as it should!), and the result was absolute perfection. Creamy, citrusy, and refreshing. Needing a break from fried everything, I went for the Cobb Salad—a great call. It was packed with bacon, blue cheese, and fresh veggies, and the dressing was a delicious surprise. We also shared the cracklins with pimento cheese, which were dangerously good—crispy, savory, and paired perfectly with that creamy, cheesy dip. My husband got the shrimp po’boy, and he was impressed—it was overflowing with shrimp, just the way it should be. The sidewinder fries were crispy and addictive, though a side of ketchup would’ve taken them over the top. Great cocktails, great food, and a nice little escape from the chaos of Bourbon Street. Highly recommend!

French restaurant
Bistro
Cocktail bar
N7 is a unique French restaurant located in the upper 9th ward of New Orleans. Despite its lack of a phone, live music, or a website, this hidden gem offers an unforgettable dining experience. Tucked behind a wooden fence off St. Claude Avenue, N7 features a charming candlelit courtyard with an old Citroen and eclectic retro-French pop music.
Tucked away in an inconspicuous corner of the Bywater, N7 is a farm-to-table French gem with outdoor vibes that feel like Napa meets Tuscany. The setting alone is stunning, but the food, wine, and service made it one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in my three visits to New Orleans over the past decade. The staff was warm, attentive, and helpful. We ordered an array of “light fare” that showcased so much thought and flavor, all paired beautifully with their vast wine list. The olive starter melted in your mouth like butter—if you’re an olive person, do not sleep on this. The watermelon and tomato gazpacho was bright and refreshing, layered with flavor. The charcuterie board was the only dish that left me wanting (a better carb-to-cheese ratio and perhaps a little meat), but the roasted beet salad more than made up for it—an earthy, citrusy dream. The fries were impossibly crisp yet melt-in-your-mouth soft. And of course, we had to end on something sweet—the pecan pie was like a southern cookie skillet of our dreams: small, rich, and unforgettable. Between the atmosphere, food, wine, and service, N7 is a true hidden treasure in New Orleans. Highly recommend if you want a dining experience that feels both elevated and memorable.

Best meal on my trip to New Orleans. I’m still dreaming of the mussels, grilled octopus and watermelon salad! The service was wonderful and courteous and especially our server, Cheriesa! Everything was so fresh, flavorful and fun.

We love N7 for its incredible atmosphere - you pass through an unassuming door into a beautiful courtyard that feels like you could be in the French countryside somewhere, with fairy lights and pretty plants. We had four vegetarians, and while there are vegetarian options in every category, if you’re looking for the best vegetarian food ever for dinner, I wouldn’t come here. If you’re looking for the best desserts ever and a beautiful place to eat dinner, and don’t mind about the vegetarian options, 10/10 would recommend. We liked the avocado salad, French fries, bok choy and tangine. This was my second time here, and I think the December vegetarian options were perhaps more diverse. Thanks N7!

Our first visit but definitely not our last. Shared small plates: Olives, Frittes & aioli, Traditionnelle Tartes Flambées, and the Steamed Mussels. Fabulous choices. For dessert we had the Chocolate Tartine & the Choux au Craquelin au Chocolate with Vanilla Ice cream and Pistachio Brittle. Holy smokes! Everything was delicious and our server, Sarah A took great care of us. Parking lot located diagonally across the street offered ample, fenced in parking.

This is THE cutest spot for a date night or for hosting a small group. We had a group of 19 for dinner and everyone loved the atmosphere and food. If I’m being totally honest, the food to me was OK but not the best I’ve ever had. But the incredibly quaint atmosphere and good service more than made up for it. The dessert was one of my favorite things and I was pleasantly surprised that the duck liver pate was actually pretty good. You honestly forget you’re in the middle of New Orleans and it was an overall really good experience. I will definitely be back!

This was hands down our favorite place to eat in New Orleans. We’ll have to go back to experience the dinner menu because we could only get in for lunch this time! First of all the ambiance in the garden is so peaceful. It’s beautifully designed and what a magical surprise to see it when you come through the gate. Rachel took great care of us and we loved the food so much. Great choice of wines by glass or bottle. Creative, yet easy going, French cuisine greatly improved by some Japanese touches. We’ll never forget that crème brûlée. ❤️

We loved our meal here. Everything we ordered was wonderful and very tasty. I enjoyed the wine suggestion. The food and wine menu is unique and flavorful. I do recommend a reservation. Check out their website for parking tips.

The food at N7 is divine. It really hits on all points. The duck pate was exceptional: sweet, savory, acid. Nothing like I'd ever tried. Smooth and creamy like silk. The rest of our dishes did not disappoint. The octopus small plate was heavenly. My only complaint is that it came with only one tentacle. I wish there was more. This was my first experience at a French restaurant. Overall, I was genuinely surprised with how much I enjoyed it.

The Crown & Anchor English Pub is a mellow and inviting place with vintage decor. It offers beer, spirits and darts as well as a variety of games to keep visitors busy. The bartender is engaging and insightful, which makes conversation great. If you are planning to eat here, bring some takeaway as there is no kitchen.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, friendly faces and the kind of charm that only comes from a place that truly knows what it’s doing. Their Guinness is poured perfectly – rich, creamy, and smooth, just as it should be. Harp lovers will appreciate the crisp, clean draft that’s hard to come by these days. Whiskey aficionados will find themselves at home too, with a solid selection that includes Powers and Jameson served just right – no frills, just quality. Whether you’re popping in for a quick pint or settling in for a longer session with friends, the drinks never miss. There’s a timeless pub feel here – cozy, unpretentious, and full of character. It’s the kind of place you return to, not just for the drinks, but for the atmosphere and community. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a proper pint and a taste of English tradition. Cheers!

My first time at the Crown and Anchor English Pub and I found it a delightful experience. Warm and friendly much like the pubs in England that I have visited. They have a large beer selection, wine and mixed cocktails. This is a very casual spot for locals and a great bar. They do not have food every day but a man does come by and cooks at times. Loa Bar, located in the International House Hotel's lobby in the Warehouse District, offers a romantic and sophisticated ambiance with plush velvet stools, candlelight, and a captivating ceiling-scape. Managed by a Voodoo priestess, this upscale bar is known for its beautiful crowd and Gothic mirrors on the walls. The cozy yet modern space has an enchanting New Orleans magic vibe and features seasonal handcrafted cocktails. Visitors praise Tara Jill, the bartender who adds to the bar's charm.
Lovely hotel bar with fantastic cocktails. As of October 2024, they are doing a Taylor Swift themed menu ahead of her Eras Tour dates in the city. Would definitely come back again for more at a later time. I think the lounge area could be a little bit more comfortable but I was fortunate enough have the bar almost entirely to myself.

Don't let this bar being a "hotel bar" fool you - the cocktails are expertly crafted and reasonable with a great vibe. Sneaky Pickle & Bar Brine is a casual eatery offering an ever-changing, vegetarian-focused menu with farm-fresh, from-scratch fare. Despite being in a city known for its meat-centric dishes, this spot stands out with offerings like grilled okra over creamy cashew sauce and maccherone with cashew-butternut cheese and vegan chorizo. The friendly staff and vibrant pink bar create a laid-back atmosphere where patrons can enjoy impressive cocktails while listening to an eclectic playlist.
My first experience at The Sneaky Pickle was very memorable. I love the art and overall vibe! Beautiful spot in Bywater, we paired it with a wander around the neighborhood and a visit to Studio BE. As we aren’t local, we opted to order a spread of Smalls: Bok Choi, Corn, Beer Battered Delicata Squash, Tofu Wraps, Salad and the the Spaghetti Squash from the Mains menu. The smalls were all quite intense - makes sense as they are meant to be bites shared with groups! - and if I had to do it again I’d definitely order the tofu wraps, salad and beer battered delicata squash. Enjoyed the vibe, even though it was probably quiet because we were there so early on a Friday, and enjoyed the art on the walls and merch selection.

My local friends highly recommended this spot — and now I see why! It was completely full on a Friday night, so I’d definitely suggest making a reservation in advance. Such a cute place for a date. The entire space — including the reception area — is filled with artwork created by the staff. Beautiful pieces and very affordable, which adds a nice personal touch. Our server was super friendly and attentive. I got the Wagyu burger with bacon, and my friends ordered two veggie dishes — everything was delicious and full of flavor. We also shared the knife-cut fries (a must!) and asked for extra ranch dressing. That ranch was so good. I’d absolutely go back again. Great atmosphere, great food, great vibe.

It was our first time here and my first time in New Orleans and I love this place! I was worried coming here for vacation as I was unsure if there were going to be any decent vegan locations so I was expecting to starve for the week. Lol. This location is spectacular. I had the pickle plate which was very unique and refreshing. I also had the Reuben with fries. You can tell the chef takes their time and has passion for what they do. We will definitely be back. Everyone was super friendly as well. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

I got this rec from a concierge at a hotel. I didn't know it was veggie forward but that was fine with us. We tried the pickle plate -- Awesome, the egg rolls--Amazing, the hand-cut fries -- Delish, but the hands-down favorite was the pear pancake. I thought it was going to be a savory and thin crepe -like thing, but it was a full plate size thick and fluffy pancake with butter and syrup. Would order again and again...

SUCH A VIBE! My partner & I became vegan less than a month ago but have been dairy free/vegetarian in the past & this is some of the best vegan food we’ve ever had! Haley was our sever & she was so sweet & the rest of the employees gave great service, too. 10/10 will be back! We had the fried onion (best we’ve ever had & omg the sauce) vegan Mac n cheese & the Reuben… sooooo yummy ALSO we had the non-alcoholic drinks, “love island” & the mango one & they were sooo good & had such fun flavors

Great restaurant with some delicious vegan options. The tofu lettuce wraps eaten as a starter exceeded our expectations! I chose the mac n cheese mains, which was nice but needed more flavour. Upon arrival, we didn't have a reservation and there weren't any tables available inside but there was one outside. Service was therefore a bit slow, from being waited to getting food. I ordered a coffee and was asked if I wanted syrup, to which I said yes - and this was forgotten until requested again, and that came slowly. My friend's tea after dinner took so long that we cancelled it, along with dessert (but the options looked great!).

Kermit's Tremé Mother-in-Law Lounge is a vibrant and historic bar and lounge located in the heart of the Tremé neighborhood in New Orleans. Originally founded by musician Ernie K-Doe, the lounge is known for its funky and colorful setting. In 2014, local musician Kermit Ruffins took over ownership, infusing the venue with his own flair.

When you visit New Orleans, and you will because it’s the land of dreamy dreams, going to Kermit Ruffins’ is a must. Intimate venue where the host actually feeds you as part of the cost. Great food, amazing music. Kermit is an international music legend and you get to see true musicians play feet from you. Do not pass on this opportunity.
The S — Google review
Kermit’s Treme Mother-In-Law Lounge is more than a bar— it’s a breathing tribute to New Orleans soul. Tucked in the heart of the 7th Ward, this spot pulses with music, memory, and magic. Owned by jazz legend Kermit Ruffins, it’s where brass bands light up the backyard stage and solo piano sets turn happy hour into a whole celebration. The drinks are dive-bar honest, the food is full of flavor when Kermit cooks, and the vibe? A party (in the words of Kermit, “We Partyin’) always a homecoming. It is truly a place that honors the legends while making space for new ones. It’s New Orleans, unfiltered. Kermit plays Mondays and Saturdays at 06PM!
Harmonese P — Google review
Forget everything you know about quiet, sit-down venues, because a night at Kermit's Treme Mother-in-Law Lounge is a full-on, joyous immersion into the soul of New Orleans. Stepping inside this vibrant, historic club feels less like visiting a bar and more like crashing a family reunion—if your family were all master musicians with a knack for grilling up incredible barbecue. The vibe here is pure, unfiltered fun. The air buzzes with energy, fueled by the infectious rhythm of live jazz that spills out from the intimate stage. The true highlight, of course, is the music. The sense of community and musical legacy here is awesome. This spirit is a big reason why musicians like Irvin Mayfield Jr. are so essential to the city's jazz scene, carrying the torch and celebrating the very culture that makes venues like this so special. Kermit's is the kind of place that captures the essence of New Orleans—unpretentious, soulful, and full of life. It’s a place to come as you are, eat some good food, and let the music move you. For an authentic, unforgettable night out in the Treme, there's nowhere else quite like it.

We didn't eat, only had a drink, the place isn't fancy but it's full of personality and in Louisiana's true fashion everyone is welcomed and made to feel at home!!! We were visiting from Texas and it was across from the Air BnB, it's a historic, neighborhood bar full of old school charm, I loved it!!!
Gail P — Google review
Go get your fill of some serious local music, get there early for the Tuesday 6 PM show it's the one that will least likely have a line if you get there 15 minutes early. $20 gets you in, cash or card. Its mostly stand only with perhaps a dozen chairs in the small tight quarters. Kermit is a very active participant in his bar, so do not be surprised if he's chatting it up with you at the bar or suddenly, you feel a trumpet in your ear and he's going into town, playing it with so much passion. The guys all have such a great banter with each other. It is amazing, amusing and delightful to watch. SO much talent on this stage. The drinks are very moderately priced, they do not give you cups of waters so be prepared to pay for bottled water. There's food on the menu and as Irvin Mayfield says Kermit declares himself a chef 1st and a musician 2nd, so if you're lucky enough ask for what they're serving on the menu it could be his proclaimed raccoon gumbo.
Monserrat A — Google review
Seems like a cool place. A little slow when we were there on a Sunday afternoon. Wishing we'd been able to stick around for another night to see Kermit play. Kitchen was unexpected treat for kind of a historic but divey spot.
Iggy N — Google review
Profoundly disappointed. I've been a Kermit fan for nearly a decade, so I came here for the first time on a Tuesday to hear some live music. I arrived at 5:45 p.m. and the lady at the door must have taken me for a mark. She said the cover charge was $20. All the reviews say the cover charge, when there is one, tops out at $10. I guess she was trying to scam me. I still love his music, I just don't like getting hustled.

Nestled in the Milan section of Uptown New Orleans, Mosquito Supper Club is a culinary hidden gem that celebrates the rich bounty of Louisiana's waterways and farmlands. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to craft communal multi-course tasting menus that pay homage to the region's culinary traditions. Originally starting as a communal dining series in a double shotgun home, it has evolved into a restaurant while still embracing the concept of shared meals.
We truly loved our dinner experience here. We sat outside on patio and the ambiance was perfect. The crawfish bisque and tomato salad were standouts for us, but we throughly enjoyed every dish and left feeling very full! If you aren’t sure about making a reservation and committing to their full menu, as long as their outdoor seating is open, you can sit on picnic tables in the front and order a la carte.

We had done a lot of research on this restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing- clean, fresh ingredients layered into flavorful dishes. We loved the seafood themed menu and had the wine pairing with unique pours that complemented the food. It is hard to say what my favorite dish was- crab claws, shrimp and okra gumbo, potato salad or stuffed crab… They were able to accommodate a gluten allergy. Most of the recipes are gluten free. (I let them know about my allergy when I made the reservation. ) Our server was really great- informative, attentive but relaxed. Truly a special experience.
Jennifer S — Google review
I got lucky sitting at the communal table with a large group of people who love to eat, chat about food, travel, and are generally aligned in interests. The food itself was... the best I have had in New Orleans, and that is a very high bar to clear. The food is unpretentious and flavorful, perfectly seasoned, correct temperatures- I really can't ask for much more. The service was fine, a place like this doesn't have to do much, they're essentially facilitating a dinner party, and you all entertain one another, and in my experience that was a success. Next time I'm in town I'm hoping it will be a different season with a different menu, so I can taste their other offerings. Before going here I read some reviews arguing for the price this should be a fine dining experience, but I would argue this is much better than that. By removing all the pretense and anxiety-driven fine dining mannerisms & plating simply(no gels dotted along the plates here)- the flavors of the foods shone through beautifully. If you want unpretentious, but expertly prepared foods without the frills, this is THE spot. If you love food and have a group of friends to do this experience with, even better.
Kevin J — Google review
In general the meal was an interesting experience. The food was good but lacking in a few departments. The gumbo was quite lite in flavor and consistency. It lacked in depth to really deliver that punch and was absent of shrimp. The shrimp and watermelon with peanuts might have been the highlight for me. It was refreshing and simple, but still lacking in the flavor forward tastes I’m used to in this region. The other issue I have is the price… With 2 drinks I ended up spending $245 for dinner for 1. I have an incredibly hard time rationalizing spending that kind of money for an underwhelming meal and an environment that is cozy and novel but does not warrant that kind of bill. There was little to no effort put into presentation of most dishes and everything was family style. Again, I appreciate the novelty of this style of meal, but for that kind of money I would imagine it being a little more personalized. Finally, for that kind of money I would expect a plethora of options and a real feast. I basically filled up on the gumbo because everything else was small and I had to share with random people at the communal table. Not to be repetitive but I appreciate the rustic nature, I just think they need to level up the food and ambiance to warrant that expensive of a price point.

Came here for our wedding anniversary and a last hurrah before we move out of Louisiana. The food was absolutely magical. Every bite was perfection! I would have definitely enjoyed a bit more of an explanation or "story" behind where some of the food or recipes came from. It can also get a bit noisy with the communal tables when they are at capacity since it is a small restaurant. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience of which we enjoyed every moment!
Danielle R — Google review
Dined here with a group of work colleagues - six of us total. I really can't say enough good things about this experience. The ambiance if first rate. We were able to have a table to ourselves as a result of the size of our group, which was nice, but the communal table was nearby and seemed lively and fun. The staff was delightful. We enjoyed our interactions with everyone from the moment we arrived. Wonderful wine and cocktail choices. The food was incredible. Well paced, flavorful, bountiful and exactly what we were hoping for when we booked. The menu for our dinner included sweet potato biscuits, crab claws, shrimp and watermelon salad, oyster soup that was divine, fried stuffed crabs, persimmon and arugula salad and succotash and fried okra - all followed by an apple tart tatin. All outstanding. We paid and tipped up front when we booked. I've never had to do that before - but I commend these folks for knowing their worth and prioritizing their employees. Three of our group had never been to New Orleans before and I wanted to make sure they had a really wonderful time. Mosquito Supper Club went a long way in making sure they fell in love with one of my favorite cities. Thank you to this NOLA gem!
Marianne R — Google review
Dinner at Mosquito Supper Club is of the best dining experiences ever. The food was excellent. Simply incredible. The service from the bartender and our server was top notch. We had a pre-dinner drink at the bar and sat at a communal table for dinner. We enjoyed interesting conversations with our fellow dinners. If you are not interested in talking to other people, do everyone a favor and pick the private table option. This experience is meant to be a community activity and that is part if the fun! Clearly a lot of thought, intention, care, and attention to detail has gone into this restaurant and it is an experience I hope to have again.
Madison A — Google review
We sat at a table for two and the food was absolutely outstanding. The price was fair and fully disclosed. I ordered the wine pairing which was limited. . The wines were light and lively, but there weren’t any red wines— except a thin gamay. There was nothing even close to a Bordeaux, Burgundy, Chateauneuf du Pape, Nebbiolo or Cabernet – even though the food would pair beautifully with a distinctive red. My recommendation for wine lovers – pay the corkage fee and bring your own bottles – the food here is the next level and should not be missed.

Saint-Germain is a charming Parisian-style wine bar and bistro located in Bywater, New Orleans. Tucked away in a small house on St. Claude Avenue, this unassuming spot offers a cozy dining room and a sweet bar with an excellent selection of natural wines. The 16-seat, reservation-only bistro serves up a delightful 10-course tasting menu featuring surprising dishes made with seasonal, local produce.
The whole experience here was electric. The service was impeccable, and dinner wasn't rushed; every dish was thoroughly explained, making everything surprising and delicious. This was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. The most surprising dish was the cheese soufflé, which was both savory and sweet. I can't wait to go back to this place—it's a MUST if you visit New Orleans.

This was such a unique and amazing experience. I can’t recommend it enough. The dishes were all amazing and the overall atmosphere was so relaxed and cozy. If you are in New Orleans definitely come here. You won’t regret it. The staff were super knowledgeable and super kind. Thank you again for such a great experience!

Saint Germain in New Orleans is a gem that feels like dining in a dear friend’s home. Every course evokes joy and wonder. The cozy Bywater setting, with its rustic charm and attentive staff, give you an experience like no other. It’s not just a meal—it’s a memory you’ll cherish, worth every penny.
Paul C — Google review
Loved this place! Food was fantastic, the Bywater atmosphere was relaxed, and the service excellent. You get the feeling that they're less about putting on airs and more about providing a truly outstanding culinary experience. I will definitely be back!
A K — Google review
We were excited to try the tasting menu at Saint Germain. Similar to other tasting menus, you are asked to pay upfront upon your reservation. Saint Germain offers 10 courses for $175 p/p. Generally everything was very good. We were seated at a bar for the first four courses-it started with a delicious Parmesan broth and ended with a wagyu and potato dish. We were then moved to a dining room where we received three more savory courses and three desserts. The service was good although felt impersonal. We had many servers over the night and no one introduced themselves. The food was delicious but the portions were disappointing. I understand they are giving quite a few courses but I left saying “when are we going to eat though?” Almost every course could be described as an amuse bouche. At least the bread they gave us was two bites instead of one. The cheese soufflé was the most impressive and was the largest course. We were also upsold a white truffle add on to a crab course (I think). While it was fun and amazing to try white truffle, it can feel weird to pay a lot of money to come somewhere and then feel like you aren’t getting the dish as intended unless you spend an additional $200. We spent a similar amount of cash at Emeril’s for lunch and I would recommend that experience over Saint Germain to my friends and family.

We had a nice dinner here during our visit to New Orleans. Food and service were excellent!! If you prefer a large quantity of food, this is not a place for you. Staff explained each dish in detail and made a great recommendation for wine for those of us who chose not to do wine pairing. The pace was just right and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
Mala K — Google review
My experience here was absolutely incredible! The staff were all so knowledgeable and friendly! As someone who works in the service industry, I really appreciated the authenticity of everyone who was involved in my dining journey. I liken it to a “spa for my palate”. The care put into creating the atmosphere, the menu, and the food itself is extremely evident. I will be recommending this place to as many people as possible!
Catherine G — Google review
First, I will start with the power went out after our tasting started. You would have thought this happened all the time. Staff didn’t miss a beat. Power came back on half way through. Didn’t matter. Food and wine pairing was absolutely life changing. Ramen is ruined for me. Theirs was epic. THANK YOU. For a wonderful experience; food and atmosphere. This was the highlight of my NOLA trip.

Live music bar
The Spotted Cat Music Club is a renowned jazz and blues venue in New Orleans, known for its intimate and lively atmosphere. The weathered bar hosts live acts on a small stage, drawing in a standing-room crowd eager to experience the velvety tones of sax, swing of trombone, and soul-thumping beat of drums.
Got to witness some excellent jazz at the Spotted Cat Music Club even on a Monday night! Only a $5 pp cover charge to enter after which you can stay for as long as you like. Reasonable cocktails, beer and a safe but lively atmosphere. We managed to grab a couple of seats along the wall and had a great view, but other than those and the seats at the bar, the club is standing room only. It filled out quickly post dinner for the 21:30 show. Check out the schedule on their website to know who is playing when and plan your visit accordingly.
Krati T — Google review
Good logo, cool building, good merch and great jazz Came here to watch an enthusiastic ensemble perform funk swing covers of pop classics while my friend browsed an art market next door. As I entered I was somewhat frustrated in my friends’ decision to browse the art market after finally dragging them to Frenchmen street after a week in New Orleans. At this point I was not waiting any longer to quench my thirst for jazz. The band were incredible, and had so much energy. One of the best trumpet players I’ve seen and value for entry was not bad!
Max R — Google review
My Uber driver told me to check this place out and I'm so glad that I did. The music was amazing! I ended up staying longer than I originally thought I would but the show was so amazing and engaging. It's a very small venue so be prepared to be a bit crowded but it's so worth it. They had a lot of options for drinks and despite how busy it was the bartender was still very helpful. One of those spots where you feel like you travel back in time.

An upbeat fun experience. Casual vibe and great music. You have to work your way through the crowd to get to the bar for a drink but once you do you will be greeted with fast service. Check them out. Great tunes.
Scott R — Google review
There is a cover charge. Great little club for live music & the band & vibe was great. No food. Not many Non alcoholic drink options. Very limited seating, standing room is most likely what you will have available. The locals are absolutely awesome! Glad we stopped in while in town.

Some of the BEST music in NOLA. Music all of the time after 2pm. We saw Jenavieve and the Winding boys, they were phenomenal. Please tip the bands, that's how they survive. Tall boy domestic cans at a decent price. Friendly bartenders. Nice selection of specialty cocktails, but they'll make you anything you want. Frenchman St is a must when visiting New Orleans.
Rhonda S — Google review
Great spot for live music. There was a one drink minimum per set when I went. I'm not sure if that's all the time or not. If you go before a certain time there's no cover.

Bar
Night club
Rock music club
The Dungeon is a renowned dive bar in New Orleans, known for its late-night hours and classic rock 'n' roll tunes since 1969. Tucked away in a dark alley off Toulouse, this secretive vampire-themed bar offers a unique blend of rock-fueled atmosphere and horror elements. With its small yet well-decorated space, it provides an intimate setting for patrons to enjoy the jukebox with over 50 bands and 300 songs to choose from.
If you're into a rock/alternative vibe, I highly recommend it! This themed bar has an edgy, almost Rob Zombie-esque aesthetic that adds to its dark and mysterious allure. I initially wanted to visit just to see what it looked like inside, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Witch’s Brew, which was a solid drink, and the overall setting made for a unique experience. The space is on the smaller side, which encourages conversation—if you don’t mind yelling over the music! One of my favorite parts was the dungeon seating , which added to the immersive atmosphere. If you visit, don’t forget to check out the second floor—I almost missed it because I was a little nervous, but it was worth it! The courtyard is also a must-see; I absolutely loved it. While I see The Dungeon as more of a one-and-done stop for myself, I’d definitely go back if someone I was traveling with wanted to experience it. Overall, a must-visit for anyone who loves rock, alt, and a bit of the eerie! 🤘🏽
Persia V — Google review
Very cool place to stop for a quick drink. Gotta walk thru a dark alley to get to their door. No photos allowed but I snagged one of the outside. The bar tender was nice. Very dark and laid back with Gothic style decor.
Tara K — Google review
The Dungeon is hands down my favorite bar in NOLA. The decor is awesome, the ambiance is great. There's an excellent selection of drinks. The entryway through the alley is really cool, and the bouncers are very friendly. Can't recommend this place enough if you are a fan of metal!
Michael — Google review
My new favorite bar in the world! It has the best bartender I've ever met. Emily is absolutely amazing. She is very social and interesting to talk to. She really takes great care of her customers. I had an amazing night. Definitely a place to go if you like chains and awesome 2000's metal rock. Oh and don't forget to look around at the art.
Jason H — Google review
It's a nice enough bar. Nothing worth screaming about as far as theme bars go so I don't understand the no pictures rule as the courtyard bit is bigger than the bar and cooler looking. Essentially a hallway with rock music inside. Upstairs wasn't open so maybe it would have been better? Good lil' escape from the craziness of bourbon though if you are into rock.
Rugs B — Google review
Dark corners, strange energy, and a bar that doesn’t care what you think The Dungeon is different, and that’s exactly why I like it. It’s one of my friend’s favorite bars in New Orleans, and every time we’re in town, it’s non-negotiable; we go. Not for the drinks, not for the music, but for the atmosphere. For the weirdness. For the kind of place that doesn’t try to be anything but itself You need to know a few things before you walk in. You can’t film here. Don’t even try. You’ll be kicked out, no questions asked. This place guards its mystery, and rightly so. It’s got that gothic, underground feel—dark, moody, and full of strange little details. Sex swings hang from the ceiling, odd relics line the walls, and the whole place feels like a fever dream you’re not sure you want to wake up from. It’s not for everyone. But if you’re the kind of person who likes your nightlife with a little edge, a little grit, and a whole lot of character, The Dungeon delivers. What happens inside probably should stay inside. And that’s the point.
Michael M — Google review
Cool goth bar with a groovy vibe. Booze is priced well and they have a good jukebox. The chick behind the bar however was a miserable person who obviously hates her job. She was the reason we moved on to another bar. No photos allowed inside which to tourists is a downer.
Joe D — Google review
Visited last night, out of town, was looking forward to it. There are no photos allowed & usually don’t read signs right off the rip in super dark bars, my apologies. So I took one and apologized on the spot. I was obviously excited if I’m taking a photo of the decor. The bartender was absolutely rude after that. Asked something snarky like “unless you buy me a shot” which what? I still tried to redeem but they couldn’t be bothered & were visibly annoyed. Was in there maybe 5 minutes tops. It cost nothing to be nice to people.

Bar
Maple Leaf Bar is a beloved local hangout in New Orleans known for its live music, especially on Tuesday nights when the famous Rebirth Brass Band performs. The bar has an intimate and casual atmosphere, with a hopping dance floor that draws in sweaty, adoring fans. It's popular among locals, university students, and visitors alike.
Classic, old-school music hall. If you're a live music lover the shows here are always top notch. This isn't cover band territory, and some of the best musicians/bands play here regularly. Famous venue, featured in movies and TV shows. Bartenders here are awesome, and there's a nice back patio of you need to chill out for a bit.

This place is legit. Small, intimate, authentic setting. And the music was absolute fire. Happy Organ Hour indeed! WOW! One of the few places I went on my trip to New Orleans that I would visit again.
Deborah S — Google review
I've been going to the Maple Leaf since 1993. There's nothing like it. But maybe I'm a little biased because I bartended there from '99 to '00, I met my wife there, we had our rehearsal dinner there (a crawfish boil, of course), and I even lived upstairs for a little bit.

Tamar W — Google review
I went to the Maple Leaf Bar not knowing exactly what to expect, and honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of my time in New Orleans. It’s a no-frills, down-to-earth kind of place that’s all about the music—and the music is incredible. The band that night was electric. You could feel the sound in your chest, and the whole crowd moved with it. The vibe inside was packed but friendly, and you could tell most of the people there really cared about the music, not just partying. No one was trying too hard—it felt real and local in the best way.
Miranda L — Google review
One of my primary go-to music venues, which has great music practically every night of the week, always LiveStreamed on YouTube and archived under the Live tab on their channel.
David F — Google review
A completely different venue than anything you'll experience on Bourbon St, MLB is where locals go to see great music. We saw George Porter Jr featuring Chris Adkins and Terrence Houston. Holy cow!! They absolutely knocked our socks off! And to think, the locals can see them perform just about every Monday night! Please do yourself a favor and make sure your trip to NOLA includes Monday night and go see this show. You won't regret it! Pro Tip: Get there ~15 minutes early if you'd like a seat. There are benches on the sides of the venue but other than that it's standing room only.
