The Big Banana Fun Park is a top-notch amusement park located on the Northern NSW coast, offering a wide range of activities for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy banana-themed attractions such as waterslides, ice skating, mini golf, and laser tag.
Had a blast, every ride and activity was great, place clean and well maintained. We got the ultimate winter pass. So made the most of if, so much to do, highly recommend getting in early as it takes a while to do all the activities. Can't wait to see the plantation coaster, as I always loved the toboggan ride, spewing we missed it.

Stopped here for a break on our way back to Sydney. There's so much to do here for all ages, you could spend the whole day here! It's one giant fun park! The souvenir shop is packed with all sorts of goodies ranging from hats, soft toys, cups, pens, stickers, key rings, fridge magnets, t-shirts, stationary items, tea towels etc. Cafe has a good variety of hot and cold food, drinks, milkshakes, and snacks. Plenty of parking.

An entire day well spent last wk. Bought the Ultimate Pass for the family online. Rocked up before ticket box/activities opened to get a good car park. Thankfully, NSW school holidays hadn't yet started so wasn't too busy. Took the entire day to be able to experience all activities included in the Ultimate Pass, including saving the Arcade Room till after 4pm when all other areas had closed. Only downers were: 1 the expensive meals, 2 the Toboggan wasn't open, and 3 the ice skates were too narrow. Even after going up a size, had to regularly sit down and take the weight off. Will need to return when the Toboggan opens.

We had an awesome day at The Big Banana Fun Park – fantastic facilities, plenty of fun, and most of the staff were absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately, our experience was dampened by an encounter with the café manager, Tanya. I have a coconut allergy, and I could clearly detect traces of coconut (likely from cross-contamination with previous flavours). Rather than showing any concern, understanding, or basic duty of care, Tanya was immediately hostile, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. She refused to offer a replacement, refund, or even acknowledge the potential seriousness of the situation, and her attitude was both unprofessional and unacceptable, especially for someone in a managerial position. As former café owners, we know exactly what good customer service looks like and this was the complete opposite. In any hospitality setting, especially when it comes to allergies, empathy and responsibility are non-negotiable. Thankfully, duty manager James went above and beyond to resolve the situation. He handled everything with professionalism, ensured we were looked after, and even gave my little one a bag of bananas for the long trip home to Brisbane - such a thoughtful gesture! It’s thanks to the rest of the fantastic team members and James’ outstanding service that this review is 4 stars instead of 1. They truly turned a negative situation into a positive experience, and we’re incredibly grateful for their care and professionalism. 👏🍌

Timed season / play time can we , depending on numbers, well worth it or a little disappointing. Wait times for a slide can exceed 30min or so. Given 2 hours, 2 - 4 slides can be a maximum. But for smaller kids or kids who enjoy the splash area, 2 hours for the price is well worth it. There is a lot to do overall at the big banana if you have the time and the funds. But it is definitely worth visiting If your not willing to wait a while, or pay the price for meals, its easily enough to bring your own.
Jesicca — Google review
This is a perfect fun park for the family with kids, as parents can join with them and have fun. I saw the kids really enjoying all the rides . However, if you are solo, or young couple without kids you guys may feel boredom as there is nothing to make your adrenaline rushing. Adults, they surely enjoy the self guided tour through the banana plantations. Staff are really courteous, good accessibility from highway, ample parking facilities are really good.
JOSEMON S — Google review
If you are visiting Coffs harbour and travelling with kids... this is where you want to be! There is a plethora of fun activities and games especially for the kids here. Of course, if you are enthusiastic about banana trees/plantation etc then there's plenty here for adults too. We stopped by here for a short visit during our road trip from QLD to Melbourne. It was amazing to see the kids enjoying themselves especially in the gaming arcade area. Souvenir shop, cafe and clean wash rooms are also available here along with plenty of free parking.

My Wife and myself visited the Banana Plantation here was a self guided tour that took about 30 minutes, where you see all the banana plants and learn about the history here at the big banana. Enjoyed our tour here and definitely recommend the visit great to learn about the history of the big banana. Family friendly place to visit too.

The Coffs Harbour Butterfly House is a captivating indoor tropical haven where hundreds of vibrant Australian butterflies flutter amidst lush gardens. This enchanting sanctuary in the heart of Coffs Harbour offers visitors an up-close experience with delicate creatures dancing through the air. The warm and humid environment inside provides a welcome escape from cooler outdoor temperatures, making winter an ideal time to visit. Additionally, nature enthusiasts can explore Digger's Beach for relaxation and wildlife watching at Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve.
Visiting The Butterfly House is such a worthwhile experience l. My children and I have had the pleasure of visiting many times. Having 3 sons, the dinosaur forest is obviously a huge draw card, and the Dino show that includes interaction with the audience is awesome. The beautiful hothouse that houses the Butterflies is my favourite- strolling through with these beautiful creatures dancing through the air is such a unique experience. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place for us to visit!
Renae F — Google review
Really nice place with lots of different butterflies to see. It was super interesting and we learned a lot about them as we walked around. We didn’t try the café but it looked really cute. The dinosaur show was funny, and interactive. Would definitely recommend, especially for families with little kids.
Layla S — Google review
Gorgeously decorated. Very nice owners and friendly staff. Will definitely have to check out the cafe next time. The dinosaur show was great and the butterfly house was amazing too!! My absolute favourite was the cafe though
Lisa A — Google review
I visited today and had the most amazing time. Such a great place for kids but there is something here for everyone. If you stopped and searched the leaves, there were butterflies everywhere, blending in with their surroundings. So many other things to look at and take in. The staff were so friendly and funny. Wonderful experience. Quirky and fun. Everyone should stop by the butterfly house when passing. ❤️🦋🦕🦖🪄🧚

My daughter is a big lover of dinosaurs and butterflies so this is an absolutely magical experience for her! Warmer days are best for the butterflies - as to be expected as that’s how it is in nature! Regardless you will still get to see butterflies. The Gerald dinosaur show is a favourite, I highly recommend. Stick around after the show and you get to meet one of the resident baby dinosaurs or Hiccups the baby unicorn. My daughter adores them all (we know each of them by name), we always give them a pat and have a great experience with both them and their lovely caretaker. There’s a playground area out past the cafe which is perfect for the kids to play while waiting for lunch. Biggest display of dinosaurs on the coast and the animated ones are so realistic.
Amber S — Google review
My wife and I visited recently to see the butterflies and while it was a pleasant outing overall, I personally felt a little underwhelmed for the price of admission. The butterfly house itself was interesting as you do get to see a variety of butterflies up close and it is a unique experience, but for adults without children the value just did not quite feel worth the cost. Families with kids would probably get a lot more out of it as little ones would likely be fascinated and entertained for longer. One highlight for us was the Alice in Wonderland themed cafe. The decorations were charming and whimsical and it is a fun spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The nice thing is you do not have to pay an entry fee to enjoy the cafe, so that part alone could make for a cute stop even if you decide to skip the butterfly house. Be prepared for the conditions inside the butterfly enclosure as it is intentionally hot and humid to suit the butterflies environment, and you will leave feeling sweaty. The enclosure does make for a lovely spot to take some colorful photos. There is also a dinosaur section on the grounds that would definitely appeal to families with children. While we did enjoy our visit overall, I think the price to value ratio felt a little off for us.
Blake B — Google review
A beautiful and enchanting place to visit, especially for families with children. The park is home to a wide variety of butterflies, and when they apply a special nectar on your hands, you may find honey butterflies gently landing on you—it’s a magical experience! It’s truly a unique and immersive environment where children lose track of time and don’t want to leave. The joy of watching butterflies up close and even having them rest on your hands creates memories that last a lifetime. There are two Maze one is mirror maze and other wooden open to sky, Italian style. While the overall experience is delightful, the entry fee is on the higher side, which may be a consideration for some. However, there is a café inside where you can grab a bite and relax, making it a pleasant spot to spend a few hours. Perfect for a weekend outing, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a peaceful, colorful escape.

Nestled within the stunning Orara East State Forest, the Forest Sky Pier is a breathtaking lookout that stands 15 meters high and extends an impressive 21.6 meters out from the escarpment. Perched at an elevation of 310 meters above Coffs Harbour, this free attraction offers visitors sweeping panoramic views of the city, its picturesque marina, and the expansive coastline stretching far into the distance.
The view over the valley is amazing! There’s a great picnic area next to the lookout where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the scenery. Tip- don’t forget to try Paul’s avocado, bee honey and bananas while on your way back !
Ashan R — Google review
Didn't even know this place existed but holy crap the views from up here are good. Site is really well maintained and the drive up is also quite pleasant. Treetops is also up here which is great for the kids, just be mindful it can be busy on the school holidays.
John O — Google review
The view of the Pacific Ocean and Coffs harbour city from the forest pier is really exhilarating. This elevated platform gives you Birds Eye view of the valley. This place has the amenities such as ample car parking, toilet and a gazebo like structure where people can sit and enjoy their food. There is no any coffee shop or refreshment shop in this area so being your food and drinks. Moreover, if you got a binocular please take to get a close view of the foothills.
JOSEMON S — Google review
Fantastic viewpoint overlooking Coffs coast You can park inside the gate and walk on the path through the forest or drive along to the viewpoint The bridge is constructed to overlook the forest and give views up and down the coast
Emma D — Google review
Beautiful lookout with a suspension "pier" hanging over the edge. Very nicely updated with the environment in mind. The cafe was closed but it looked like a great spot for a picnic with plenty of tables scattered about. Bring cash and keep an eye out for the little vege stalls on the road up selling avocados and bananas!
Mariah M — Google review
Ive been here before in summer and came again years later with my daughter.. make sure you read the signs to get to this lication as the road works have made it hard with signage to follow. Google maps even had trouble navigating to get proper firections due to the terrible road works. Once you are there the biews are spectacular. It is a little windy on the road coming up to it. Winding through the banana plantation and the state forest on the other side. There is a small cafe at the top for coffee tea hot chocolate and small snacks. Further back on the road there is tree hopping. Its a must see location as it is very pretty . The area is very clean and its free . No problems with parking.
Helen R — Google review
Beautiful views and lovely pier/bridge. Loads of parking and there is a toilet nearby. Cafe was not open today.

Breathtaking views from up to the top. You can take your car till the lookout point. We did the smallest 35 min trail, I believe the Gumgali track that goes from the the left of the lizard's picture near the treetop adventure. It was a short, quiet and nice walk to a beautiful lookout point.

The Clog Barn Tourist Attraction & Caravan Park is a unique and charming destination located on the Pacific Highway. It features a miniature Dutch village with historical buildings, waterfalls, canals, and windmills. Visitors can enjoy live clog-making demonstrations, indulge in traditional Dutch food at the cafe, and purchase authentic Dutch groceries. The attraction also offers accommodation at the caravan park for those who want to extend their stay.
Went for a visit, I believe the recent one star reviews are very wrong from what I experienced. The pancakes were the size of the plate. We had excellent service and it was busy. We went next door and met John, he will turn the train on for you. There is no point turning on the train when no one is out looking at the miniature houses as this just adds wear and tear. Next we saw John make a clog in 5 minutes. The traditional way takes hours. We even got the demo clog. The slippers are comfortable.
Luke F — Google review
After decades of driving past, we finally decided to drop in and it was definitely worth it. Was great to walk around and look at the miniatures and the pancakes were absolutely amazing. Will definitely make sure to stop in again at the cafe in the near future 😃 Picture is of a half size serving of pancakes. Delicious 😍
Blake B — Google review
Great accomodation, good location close to shops, beaches and tourist attractions in Coffs Harbour. Clog barn was great nice Dutch themed place and amount of work to make look like it does is amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone to visit and stay very budget friendly too! My wife and myself enjoyed our stay here
Jamie P — Google review
We visited the pit stop attraction of house figurines & cafe. It is very admirable that the owners put so much care and thought into this shop. It is very calm and well maintained. P.S. the lizards are real ! Not statues 🦎😬
Emily — Google review
Loved it. $45 for campervan, powered and choice of grass or slab. It's a very small friendly park in Coffs Harbour, basic, but clean. Wifi works, fast enough to stream. Parks tend to blur into each other after travelling a long time, however this one's so unique I'll remember it forever. The miniature village, free to visit, is well worth visiting even if you don't stay.
Alistair R — Google review
We didn't stay in the hotel but did visit the clog barn. It's a lovely place and a lot of work has gone into it. We really enjoyed it! Definitely worth a visit. It's a little tricky to get to without a car but 20 minutes walk from the city centre
Jasmin R — Google review
Went to the tourist attraction which was a great experience. In the shop, there is a live demo of how a clog is made, which was very informative and interesting. To view the miniature Dutch houses/ palaces / buildings etc and windmills, one has to go through the shop. There is no entry fee to view the buildings. It is very well kept and lovely to see.

The North Coast Regional Botanic Garden in Coffs Harbour is a sprawling 50-acre park nestled by the estuary, featuring a diverse range of native plants, forests, and a serene Japanese garden. This subtropical oasis is bordered by Coffs Creek and offers an array of attractions including rainforests, sensory gardens, natural forests, mangroves, and exotic tropical plant collections.
This place is GORGEOUS, a true oasis that you can’t miss. The plants and landscaping are just beautiful, very easy to wander through with pathways all well kept. You’ll come across a Magnolia tree there that is just so stunning and worth the visit all by itself. It’s free to enter, has a sweet gift shop and plants for sale (very good prices) and the coffee at the little cafe near the entrance is yum. The ladies serving there were so genuinely warm and friendly that they deserve a special mention. 5 stars easy!
Aine C — Google review
The botanical garden was absolutely wonderful, vast, yet cleverly designed pathways made exploring a breeze, no getting lost here! A treasure trove of trees and plants, and super helpful engravings and descriptions dotted around. Stunningly beautiful, this garden's a perfect chill-out spot for both adults and kids to wander, soak up the nature vibes, and go at their own pace. They also have a lovely cafe and souvenir shop to round off the visit. A must-visit for anyone looking to get lost in the loveliness of nature.
Nick — Google review
Such a beautiful place to visit for a stroll through nature. I enjoyed the different themed areas, with my favourites being the glasshouse/orchid room and the New South Wales natives. The walking tracks were well maintained and it was good that a lot of the trees and plants were labelled. Beautiful time of year to visit during Spring before it gets too hot (Sep/Oct).
Corinna L — Google review
This is a beautiful place to wander through, it is a well maintained & a well planned layout with lots of wonderful trees & plants including a very pretty Japanese garden with a lagoon & bridge! A new cafe has opened here just recently which does great coffee & a fairly extensive savoury & sweet selection of snacks & food! 👍👏🌟

This is a MUST SEE if you're in the region. These gardens were featured on TV Better Homes and Gardens show recently (October 2024), and as we were holidaying in the area decided to visit. What a magnificent Botanical Garden. I couldn't believe we didn't know this place existed after visiting the area for years. A beautiful experience to wander through the variety of themed gardens, a greenhouse, and a beautiful Japanese Garden with bridge and pavilion - so serene. Well made sign posted paths (wheelchair ♿ friendly) and information boards. Plenty of seating, shade, green space, picnic spots and public facilities 🚻. Suitable for all ages and a rare thing - ✨FREE entry🌳🌴🌷✨ There are information brochures and a donation box at entry point which I didn't hesitate to drop a note 💵 in. I would encourage a donation to help sustain this nature treasure. The gardens are maintained by 180 volunteers and 1 paid worker - an incredible feat. I'll be back with a picnic 🧺 next visit.
Linda H — Google review
We had the best morning at the gardens. Patsy was wonderful, she went out of her way to accommodate us for my Nans 91st Birthday. She drove us in the buggy to the Japanese gardens where we enjoyed our picnic basket of cakes and coffees from the leaf and bean cafe. So many beautiful areas with different designs to explore. The 3 children loved it as well. Thank you for the memories.
Brigette S — Google review
This is an unusual botanic garden in that there is much more forest than sculpted gardens. Having said that, it is really lovely with lots of places to explore. The cafe was great too, fabulous muffins!

Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve is a must-visit spot in Coffs Harbour, offering stunning coastal views and abundant wildlife. Accessible via an interconnected jetty, the island is home to a variety of bird species, including the wedge-tailed shearwaters. The highest point provides panoramic views of the marina, ocean, mountains, and Solitary Islands.
Stunning views. What an incredible place, my favorite in the Coffs. Not an easy walk for elderly people, even for an adult it could be challenging . Just make sure you get dressed properly for the wind and cold depending on time and weather. I learned it the bad way. No public toilets once you climbing the hill, no ramp access for a wheelchair to the hill.⛰️🏞️

It’s a must visit spot if you love the nature sightseeing place. Coffs Harbour is an ideal stopover on your road trip to QLD. Winter time me and my boyfriend be there at 4:30ish the view is stunning. Appreciate the beautiful world and the quality time we spent together.
JJ F — Google review
Always worth the effort! It’s a steep walk over Muttonbird Island but the views are amazing. The ideal spot for whale watching in season, the closest you’ll get to them from land. Take your binoculars! There are great cafes at the marina or Jetty beach for a drink before or after your walk. There is no entry free. There are regulations as it is a nature reserve. For those with mobility issues, who cannot tackle the steep pathways on either end of the island, or for those walking dogs (who aren’t allowed on the island itself) you will find a flat, long J-shaped path (cement and then bitumen) along the marina with views of the moored yachts, people fishing or snorkelling, the jetty and base of the island. There is some shade and seats at the base of the island, before you head up the steep path.
Zaffiro H — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful sights I have seen in Coffs Harbour, I spent a long time in the Bird's Nest World, it was like a bird community, very magical! There are many bird holes, and birds will go in and out, so don't scare them because they will be afraid. In addition, there is a restaurant and a cafe, it is worth spending a wonderful breakfast or afternoon with your family or couple!

A great little scenic walk which takes us up the hill to a look out spot, where one can view the distant hills of Coffs Harbour. The oceanic views are wonderful from atop the hill. The local birds also nest in the hills.

We all had a great time at the Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary. The staff were amazing and knowledgeable and the animals were beautiful! The dolphin show was incredible and the seal was so cute! The turtles being rehabilitated were adorable! Great place to visit!

A must do in Coffs Harbour, we love this place. Still looks the same as when I brought my kids 15 yrs ago & very reasonable entrance fee which all goes to looking after these wonderful sea personalities. We chose to go on a very rainy day & had the park almost to ourselves but hence got very wet. The staff are so passionate & caring for the marine & do alot of rescue on the East Coast. All talks were very insightful, such a fantastic opportunity for us all to fall in love even more with our marine creatures.

Awesome to see and learn about all the animals, the two morning shows we went to were super informative. Not a large zoo, quite small but still cool

We had a great day. It’s a small place with lots of great shows for a half day. Staff were lovely and everyone gets a turn. We fed, played and pat the dolphins and they are so close and really engaging. My kids teenagers loved this as much as I did 30 years ago. Highly recommended.

Coffs Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful animal sanctuary. The ticket is very reasonable for the experience, and knowing it’s a non-profit makes it even more special. The dolphin show was awesome—they were playful and cheeky, moving eagerly from their lagoon to the performance pool, clearly excited to show off their talents. The staff are passionate and caring, and every visit supports the sanctuary’s important work protecting these amazing animals.

Coffs Harbour Jetty is a popular spot offering a range of activities and attractions. The nearby beach provides opportunities to enjoy the coast, Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve, and views of Solitary Islands. Visitors can explore Coffs Creek Walk and Cycleway for walking and cycling along the creek. The jetty is a favorite destination for fishing and diving near the diverse underwater ecosystem of Solitary Islands Marine Park. Muttonbird Island serves as a nature reserve protecting wedge-tailed shearwater breeding colony.
What a beautiful part of Coffs Harbor. Amazing long Jetty to take a stroke along and see the beautiful clear water. You can also do the breakwall on the other side and do a loop back via the boardwalk so you can see all the fishing boats up close. Large park area with toilets and picnic tables and big open spaces to play or picnic in. Lovely safe spot for the whole family to swim between the Jetty and the fishing co op.

If you're seeking an adrenaline rush, look no further than Treetops Adventure Coffs Harbour, nestled in the picturesque Orara East State Forest. Since its opening in 2018, this park has captivated both locals and tourists with its exhilarating activities that allow you to reconnect with your adventurous spirit. Picture yourself soaring down ziplines and traversing suspension bridges high above the forest floor—up to 15 meters!
So much fun!!! Such an amazing experience taking my 2 very active and adventurous children (aged 11&13) here to Treetops! They got to show a very nervous mum how it’s done and would have spent the whole day flying through all the different levels if they could. It was incredibly safe with the harness that won’t let you fall - you just need to have the confidence to step out on the hanging platforms!! Will absolutely do it again and highly recommend to anyone considering this activity for a fun day out!!

I've been to treetops at Canberra before and this was as good if not better. Very helpful staff. Great courses, and very different to the other Treetops I've been too. We went with a 5, 8, 38, 40, and 67 year old. We even saw some bush turkeys!

Honestly so impressed with Treetop Adventure Challenge Coffs Harbour. This is the second time we’ve been and the kids (9, 12 & 15) absolutely love it and have been talking about going back since last year. The location is absolutely beautiful, the challenges are really well done and incredibly safe and engaging, but the real standout are the staff, all highly professional and experienced, engaging and warm with the kids. Today during one of the challenges our youngest got a bit scared and can’t thank Grace & Bre enough for the way they reassured and lead her through to the end of the challenge. To see the confidence in her afterwards, as a parent you couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you to Daniel (beard / shaved head guy as well) you were brilliant too. 10/10 guys, thank you for a great afternoon.

This was such a fantastic experience! Our assistant, Brie, was such an amazing help and has such a beautiful energy and way with children 🙏 My husband, and children (13, 11, 9 and 5 years) took part 💚 My 5 year old did all 4 of the younger children's courses, and the older children went with my husband to complete the green and blue courses 💚 Everyone had so much fun! Thank you 🥰

A great adventure. The courses range from little kids to “Arborist” (quite challenging) it you are fitted in quality fall arrest equipment and feel perfectly safe. Zip lining above cars driving below is a bit of a buzz too. The staff look after everyone really well and know how to deal with visitors that have discovered that the adventure is a bit much for them. Obviously safety if first but fun is a close second!

Zoos & Aquariums
Located at Southern Cross University's National Marine Science Centre, the Solitary Islands Aquarium offers a fascinating insight into the diverse marine life of Coffs Coast and the stunning Solitary Islands Marine Park. Visitors can observe native species in easily accessible tanks, immersing themselves in the local biodiversity. The aquarium aims to raise awareness and appreciation for the area's marine ecosystems through interactive experiences, guided tours, and themed exhibits suitable for all ages.
An enjoyable afternoon viewing the various displays. Parking was available directly out the front of the aquarium. Not much of a wait to get into the place and we got straight into viewing the various displays. The only issue was that some of the displays did not have the names of the fish species attached to them. The theatre showed a captivating and informative series of programs that gives an insight into the importance of our oceans and the creatures living in it. Well worth a visit.
Stephanie G — Google review
Online booking is required and costs $18 for adults, but it is well worth it, to spend a few hours delving deep below the ocean to see spectacular marine creatures and understanding how mankind needs to protect ocean life in order to sustain ourselves

Fantastic experience. My son (9,asd2) is obsessed with octopus and goes every time we come to Coffs and we learn something new each time. This visit we happened to be in time for fish feeding which was another level of fun and learning. The ppl are great too!
J — Google review
Priced for the size. Small little aquarium but staff knowledge is outstanding and their love for the creatures and passion for conservation is worth the visit. Loved the octopus, it's easy to spend a long time mesmerised with them (they definitely have personalities). Only need an hour there really but recommend going when it's not crowded as it's beautiful to take in but it may spoil it a bit if it was packed. Great for kids too!
JK ( — Google review
It was a great experience for the kids. The staff were very knowledgeable and were great with the kids during the talk. It is a very small aquarium but still a great way to spend a few hours listening to the talks and watching the fish and a very cool octopus.
Candice H — Google review
The tour is $18 and not free, the website is a little misleading in that respect. There are a few tanks with some interesting fish in. One of the students gave a little talk and fed the fish for us to see. Can learn a bit about the local marine life and overall was worth the visit.

Jetty Beach in Coffs Harbour is a historically significant spot with a timber jetty that offers a perfect setting to immerse in the local atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy activities like fishing, jumping off the jetty, and observing the bustling marina. The area also features dining options such as fresh local fish from Fishermans Co-op and cafes along the Jetty Strip.
Jetty Beach — near the end, turn left after crossing the railway lines and keep going until you reach a quiet spot. It’s a peaceful place where you can enjoy a leisurely walk, either along the beach or on the walkway. If you climb the small hill, you’ll be rewarded with beautiful views of the Jetty coastline.

We caught Bus 365 from Wollies to Jetty Beach to kill some time whilst our car was being serviced. Good choice. This cute little beach is lovely and safe to swim in. School kids were having surfing lessons and swimming from jetty to shore, there were elderly enjoying an easy swim, people speed walking, biking & rollerblading on the boardwalk. There were cafes and restaurants nearby and a fantistic fresh seafood co-op beside the marina. We enjoyed our little visit here and totally recommend it.

WORTH THE STOP, WORTH THE SWIM, WORTH THE DAY! 🥰 This beach is a must-visit if you’re looking for a calm, crystal-clear spot with gentle waves perfect for bodyboarding. The water temperature is surprisingly not as cold compared to other Aussie beaches and is very kid-friendly! Shower and toilet facilities are clean and well-maintained 💯. We spotted several adorable sea turtles from the jetty – too cute! An early morning stroll along the harbour was magical, with stingrays and other fish clearly visible. Absolutely mesmerizing! Nearby, you’ll find several cafes and delicious takeaway fish & chips. Plus, there’s a Sunday Market right by the beach entrance. Highly recommend this spot to all travelers! 🙌

Best place to swim year round. Dolphins, sea turtles and a nearby walk on Muttonbird Island. But don't go there because if everyone shows up it will get crowded. If you do visit, please leave nothing but your footprints. Out of town visitors have been known to leave garbage behind on this otherwise pristine beach. Nearby showers on both ends of the beach, and good coffee and snack kiosks make it a great place to hang out.

Coffs creek walkway is a scenic, serene walk extending from our gorgeous tidal creek all the way into town. This walk is for most fitness types, dog walking, jogging, bike riding. The walk literally hugs the creek except for a steep hill. You can start at the Promenade if a flat walk is preferred. The views of the creek are sublime, the water of the creek can change to the clearest "crystal blue" on a sunny clear day. Various fishing spots are located along the track. I take as many photographs to capture the changing scenery and colors. Many birds flit between the trees and fish can be spotted in the crystal clear water. This is a pleasant "time out", children enjoy the walk with family and the walk is pram friendly. The track is kept in good condition. Finish your walk at the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

We visited this place based on a recommendation from a local. The venue is beautiful and has good vibes. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the kitchen team came across as quite rude and seemed unhappy to be there—particularly the lady at the counter. The food was average at best. I was greeted by Robin who happens to be the bistro manager, and she took care of me wonderfully. Robin went to the room to make sure the room was clean, Organized and orderly. Then Robin informed me that I could park right in front of the room. She also gave me a voucher/Coupon that I could Used to purchase a large pizza for $15. I was working up in Coffs Harbour and staying at a nearby hotel and they recommended going here for dinner on a Tuesday night. It’s a large pub right next to Park beach and it has a motel as part of the complex There’s plenty of parking on the premises It’s a huge pub and no doubt it’s really busy at the weekend but on Tuesday night it was quite quiet. It had an extensive venue made up like they had lots of smoked meat options which were however quite expensive. Had a mushroom and halloumi begging which was nice and smoky, the chips were fantastic although the portion was really small The prices were reasonable. Actually wish afterwards that I had the pizza which looked really nice and the portion size was ideal for one person

Can’t believe they removed the car park, less parking so not worth going to it now. The council were supposed to upgrade the tennis courts but they let them go to ruin. There’s only skating for teenagers yet other sports like basketball & netball courts could be erected with all the space going to waste. As there’s no free basketball courts anywhere in town (even half court) and netball courts are shut to the public too. Appalling spending money on what?

No off street parking anymore . You have to unload children on a busy street IF you can find a park anywhere near it . Park was completely empty compared to what it use to be. Also badly needed mowing.

Bubbler, water bottle refill, sunscreen vending machine starting at 50c, loads of elements to the playground for varying ages and abilities. A couple of picnic tables, and picnic benches scattered around for tired parents. The path throughout is a dragon if you can get an eagle eye view.

It's a lovely theatre. I saw the School of Rock show and it was absolutely fantastic. Recommend seeing it. The theatre isn't big, which made it perfect to be able to see the show really well no matter where you sat.

Awesome place to take the kids to see a show. Snacks could get an update with a popcorn machine or some light and easy toasties for a warm option. At the moment just packets of chips and nuts. Beers and wine.

Went there to watch the rock and roll movie. The building is beautiful, the movie was amazing. Unfortunately, the staff were too involved in the movie and reliving their teen years to do their job properly and as a result there was an issue. I doubt I will be back.

We did the sunset eco kayak tour and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we booked our tour, Matt was in touch to confirm the items we needed and provided a map to help us get to the location along with information for parking. Matt was helpful, entertaining, and very informative with his marine and local area knowledge. Thank you Matt for making our tour so enjoyable. We look forward to doing another adventure with you soon.

We had an amazing kayaking tour with Matt! He’s super nice, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience really special for our family. The scenery was beautiful, the pace was just right, and best of all — not a single boring moment! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and memorable outdoor adventure.

We had a great time kayaking with Matt who provided snacks and took some great photos, which he sent to us later. My boys were able to pump yabbies and had bait for fishing! The kayaks were solid and comfortable and you could follow the group or take the route at your own pace. Lots to see, great exercise and a fun way to make memories with friends and family.

Despite the gloomy weather, our kayak tour with Matt was fantastic! Matt was welcoming and knowledgeable, ensuring everyone felt safe and comfortable. This is really a memorable experience! Highly recommend this tour!

If you want an experience that won't bust your wallet and will leave you with fantastic memories I highly recommend C-Change. All required gear is provided Matt is Very knowledgeable and passionate about Coffs local water ways. Its a beautiful paddle around we went around Boambee creek, saw some sting rays, tried some bush Tucker and over all just had a really good time. Everyone in our group plans to book in for some of the other tours C-Change can provide later in the year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our kayaking experience with Matt. The location is peaceful, the pace is easy and we learned so much along the way. Matt is a natural born tour guide - so friendly and helpful and fun to talk to. The added activities were a great addition too - first time yabby-ing for me :-) Highly recommended!

What a beautiful tour! Matt's planning was amazing. We booked for a group of five to experience two types of kayaking, and it was an absolute blast. Not only did we have a great time learning about kayaking and sea life, but Matt's expertise in explaining it all was outstanding. Highly recommended for everyone!

Highly recommend this company for kayak tours. Matt was very friendly and had an amazing knowledge of the surrounds. We did a 1hr midday tour with our 2.5yr old. Matt made it enjoyable and kept our little one interested by showing us the yabbies and the little crabs. My hubby was initially worried as our little one struggles to sit still in one place, but the river was nice and calm and the kayaks were in great condition and it was comfortable. Matt also took lots of photos for us so we didn’t have to worry about our phones getting wet. Overall I was very happy with the services and would highly recommended Matt! We will definitely use the company again when we visit Coffs Harbour next time!!

Our two sons 12 and 14 years had amazing fun segwaying today at opal cove coffs harbour. They loved the guided tour around the grounds and the free time at the end too. Would recommend this as a safe, fun time for all ages!!

We booked the 1 hour package for $375 for a family of 5, but had to spend 40 mins doing paperwork and watching the safety videos, leaving us 20 mins for riding around the lawn - not much of an adventure.. We booked an hour package believing that we'd be riding for about an hour, but charging $375 for 20 mins is disgusting. When we wrote in to complain about the misleading information on the advertisement, we were ignored and not even given the courtesy of an explanation. Feeling extremely ripped-off.

My partner & I were in Coffs for 3 days & tried to book the package deal of Segways, Zorb balls & paddle boats. Was told we couldn't do the boats because there was an issue with the tide!? Couldnt do the zorb balls because there were other people in the pool!? We booked the Segways for 11am the following day & he said he would phone us back at 9am the next morning to confirm. Never heard back so phoned at 10am & was told there weren't enough people interested for that day so he wouldn't be opening. What kind of way is this to run a business!??

Coffs Harbour beach is just lovely, located between muttonbird and little muttonbird island, soft sand and proper waves, so grab your surfboard or your swimmers and jump in or do some sun baking ( slip, slop also of course) or the total opposite and take a relaxing stroll along the beach. This beach is a dog walking beach so if you really don't like dogs running up the beach just cross the little road/ park and use the beach under/ next to the jetty as it's a "no dogs allowed beach". Boambee Headland Lookout in Sawtell is a must-visit spot along the Coffs Coast. It offers stunning views of Murrays Beach to the south and Boambee Creek and Beach to the north, making it an ideal place for a relaxing picnic. The lookout is easily accessible by car, allowing visitors to bring as much as they want without any hassle.
Easily accessible ( when outside Chrissy holidays) and walks are reasonably easy, but some steep sections if starting at the water tower car park. Even spotted some fireflies at night in the dense bush land sections. Spectacular place to watch either the sun or moon rising above the ocean, whales and dolphins frequently spotted from headlands.
Steve ( — Google review
Beautiful walk & views along the headland at all hours of the day (I went 3 times, in the morning + midday + during sunset). Well paved with a few short steep sections. Small car park near the start of the walk, but I always saw empty spots.

Short distance from Sawtell. Great lookouts on the hill overlooking the ocean capturing migrating whales in the distance even a few dolphins jumping in their wake. Great pathways to take a coastal walk for the views.

A beautiful walk with scenic vistas of the rolling Pacific Ocean. The trail is easy with a few hilly sections. There's a small carpark at the walk start. Check out the old rail bridge before the walk where the beach is dog friendly & you can take a dip if its hot.

Beautiful beach and lookout. You can see the whole coastline in both directions and if you take the grass trail, you will come out at the most easterly point where you can walk left to the creek swimming (shower and toilet) or right to Sawtell. Straight ahead is a quiet like area to sit and have a private do or just sit on the bench and watch the ocean.

This 650-acre national park is located in the Na Pali Coast on Kaua'i. The park offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, hiking trails, and beaches. There are also dolphins that can be seen during shoreline walks. Ulidarra National Park was established in 1999 and is a popular tourist destination for hikers, kayakers, and surfers.
This another great, clean and well-preserved national park. You can enjoy nature, do some bird-watching and real bush walking. The paths are easy to follow, and there is very decent GPS coverage for mobiles

Ulidarra National Park is a hidden gem! The trails are well-maintained and offer a great mix of challenging hikes and easy walks. The lush greenery and diverse wildlife make it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts. A bit more signage would be helpful, but overall, a fantastic place to explore and unwind.
Francisco T — Google review
We entered the park from the road heading down from Searly Lookout. We thought we'd go to the 'picnic area' to make a coffee. The track immediately started to climb and was very picturesque however there was no 'view' We came across a y-junction with a locked gate on the lhs. We continued on taking the end track thinking that once we arrived to the picnic area we'd definitely turn around after our coffee and head out. There was no picnic ground. (We were told later that there may have been a picnic table near the road) The track got worse, very gutted, lots of overhangs, and required a skilled 4wd'er to traverse. We are experienced and advise you not to drive this track. It takes you into Cara State Forest and then you have to get out! Only bushwalkers or bikeriders should attempt it unless track work it completed. If it were to get any wetter you'd have even greater problems. After 1.5-2 hours we made our way back to bitumen by using our detailed mapping on our tablet using Explore oz maps.
Angelo P — Google review
Enjoyed my visit here and would definitely go back. I completed the Ulidarra Walking Track after starting on the End Peak Trail. There are some sections that are a bit steep and the trails are quite rough and are not marked at all. There were a lot of large fallen tree trunks that had to be scrambled under. There was no beautiful view from a peak at the end, but overall it was a very tranquil and enjoyable day hike.
Lee W — Google review
I googled top 10 things to do in Coffs Harbour... How this place made it up there is mind blowing!!! An absolute horror experience!! You drive throught this park, all you see is... Not even sure because you concentrate to stay on the road. No where are they telling you that you are throught the Park and going on the road to hell (as one sign correctly identified). More important nobody is telling you that the road ahead (Shelter rd) is ending. We drove for more than an hour on a horrific road just to be forced to turn around because of the road closure... all the way back on the same road to hell... There are countless scratches on my SUV... That all to see nothing. Please put a sign on that says (1) you reached the end of the park. (2) Make a turn around place there and (3) advise the visitors that the road is horrendous and ends... And for making the top 10 things to do... What a joke... Rather do ironing... It will save you 2 hours of buffing out the scratches on your car.

Visitors praise Jetty Dive for its exceptional diving experiences, spacious and stable boat, easy booking process, and knowledgeable guides.
Massive Thanks to Mike and his crew for 2 great dives! Our planned dives further down the coast were cancelled last minute due to bad weather but they were able to accommodate our group of 12 without any problems! Despite less than ideal conditions we had a great time- everyone we dealt with from our paperwork to setting our gear up to the crew on the boat were friendly, helpful and professional! We saw a heap of cool stuff and are so happy with our experience! Absolutely would recommend diving with Jetty Dives!

We went on a whale watching tour with Jetty Dive and it was unbelievably fantastic. They found the whales quickly and we stayed within the safe distance of them for over an hour. Three of them came close and were swimmingly happily around the boat, slapping their tails and flippers. Such amazing creatures and just left us in awe. The staff were great making sure everyone was comfortable and watching if anyone suffered with sea sickness. They gave us information about some of the whales habits and their migratory path. The boat was super easy to get on and off of and does have the option for disabled to use it too. They provided safety information and explained where life jackets were and how to use them. The jetty where the boat leaves from was stable and easy to navigate. Even though there is a lot of parking the day we were the farmers market was also on so space was a premium. Luckily we arrived early and were able to get a spot just across the road. The boats are just the right size…we had 18 on our tour and was still easy to move around from side to side and see everything going on.

Amazing experience with the Jetty Dive team doing two whale swims first week of Sept 25. Plenty of whales to see from the boat but so much more than a whale watch. Being in the water and being able to see them in the water nearby while snorkelling is a very special experience. The team takes care of the entire group making sure everyone is fully engaged in the experience. Couldn't recommend this highly enough.

Had a fantastic time out on the water today on a Adventure Whale Watch Tour! ☀️🌊 There were lots of whales frolicking and splashing in the pristine water off the Coffs Coast 🐳👀 They have a great boat that is power packed, modern, covered, and clean!🚤👌🏻 It was awe inspiring to see these majestic creatures in their natural environment. An amazing experience and worth every cent we paid!

Fantastic! The friendly staff at the dive shop were knowledgeable and helpful when booking, and then the crew on the day was amazing. Professional, welcoming, funny, friendly, and man did they deliver! Lots of cool facts about whales, a great boat, getting to see a tiny baby and her mum, and hanging out with a pod (sorry, 'association') of five adults, all blowing and tail slapping and coming SO close to the boat I couldn't believe they weren't touching it. Then, as we turned to go home, we got a couple of big breaches and a bunch of fin slapping to wave us goodbye. Just the best.
Annette T — Google review
What an unbelievable experience! I took my very frail 82 yr old mother along and the staff were super helpful and friendly. We had a large group of whales come up to our boat and hang out with us for the entire trip. It was truly an experience i will never forget. Thanks Jetty Dive, that was special!

I took my family on a whale watching experience for my sons birthday this past weekend, couldn’t fault the service, directives or customer service. The trip was simple, tick you’re names off, get in and listen to safety instructions go! I booked online and got a courtesy email about my booking (we had 2 small kids) and everything was in order. We had a very lucky experience with 2 youth whales who were very happy to “mug” the boat for about an hour, the captain was also pleasantly surprised with how inquisitive the whales were for us! Everyone had great opportunities to view the whales, the captain had an easy job and the assistants were friendly and I think enjoyed our experience as much as we did! Thanks team, I would (and have) highly recommend to anyone!

If you're looking for a fantastic indoor adventure in Coffs Harbour, The PlayHouse is the ultimate destination for families with children up to 12 years old. This vibrant venue boasts an expansive indoor playground filled with exciting slides, challenging obstacles, and colorful ball pits that will keep your little ones entertained for hours. For those moments when kids need a breather, there's a cozy quiet zone available.
Highlights ✔️ Friendly staff ✔️ Clean & well-maintained ✔️ Great layout with lots to explore ✔️ Safe, well-padded structure with plenty of play areas ✔️ Small but space for toddlers and little walkers We took our 1- and 3-year-old to *The Playhouse Coffs Harbour* on a lively summer Saturday, and it was fantastic! Even with the weekend rush, there was plenty of space to play. The highlight? A HUGE climbing frame—safe, secure, and well thought out. Inside, there were plenty of different areas to explore, keeping little ones entertained for ages. There was also a smaller section that was perfect for my 1-year-old, who’s just learning to walk. The main play area isn’t air-conditioned as its quite open but had a giant fan—which unfortunately wasn’t on at 1145am on a hot summer day, but we heard a lady near us ask to turn it on and the staff were happy to. Luckily, there’s a separate cool zone with a big empty-ish room, a cool rock climbing area and air-conditioned party rooms too. We enjoyed milkshakes and fresh watermelon cups—tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole place was well-kept. The only downside was older kids racing through the play structure at full speed, making it wobble and feel a bit overwhelming for the little ones, but that’s more of a parent-supervision than a venue thing. Thanks for the visit, we'll be back 🙂
Shannon T — Google review
This is a great play area for the kids to play, so much for them to do and run around. They serve good coffee and hot/cold food and snacks. The staff are friendly. The toilets are as clean as you would expect with children using them but could do with some sort of air freshener in there. I expect it will get hot in the summer months but they have big ceiling fans over the seating area.

Such a great spot for kids. My grandkids aged 4 and 6 had a fantastic 2+ hours here. Plenty of play areas to entertain themselves. Very Reasonable prices for entry and food in comparison to other school holiday activities.

Well priced and good seating for parents. But it is highly misleading as this is a church run business. I went on their website before attending and there is no mention of this anywhere. We already arrived and the kids expectations were high, so despite it going against my values, we went in. I feel that they should be upfront about this. And we won't be coming back.

A good range of activities for children and toddlers. No aircon in main space means it gets warm during the day, and older children can be rough when using the equipment. Staff are great, prices reasonable.

Wow, so glad we stopped by to check it out. It has pretty much everything you could want from an indoor play area. The coffee was good and there was plenty of food to choose from. Lots of kid friendly options too, vegemite sandwiches, fruit, poppers. The play area was clean and had lots of areas for the kids to explore. They also have a quiet sensory area, and have mother's group catch ups regularly. Oh and lots of parking out the back.

Macauleys Headland Walk is a popular coastal trail in Coffs Harbour, running between Diggers and Park Beach. It offers stunning views of the ocean and both beaches, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The walk is suitable for all fitness levels, with plenty of resting spots to admire the surfers and take in the scenery. Along the flat and paved path, you may encounter black cockatoos, wallabies, and even spot whales if you're lucky.
This is an easy walk with a few steep sections. Nothing too hard. Has beautiful vistas of Muttonbird Island & Park Beach . Crosses over the headland to Diggers beach. Plenty of benches to sit & watch the whales passing by. There's a parking area & amenities at the walk start
Diana W — Google review
This is my favourite walk in Coffs Harbour! No other place i have found allows you to fully appreciate the majesty of the North Coast and Pacific Ocean in a mere half hour walk. Lots of black cockatoos here of a morning and wallabies on the walking trail every now and then which is very cool to see! Every person you pass greets you with a smile. And it is the best place to view the sunrise from the cliffs!
Quarter K — Google review
Great walk along the coast with plenty of views and beaches to pass through. If you are lucky you can get some whale watching in too along the walk.
Daithí K — Google review
Beautiful walk that goes in forever if you're that keen! Even on an overcast and cloudy day it was gorgeous. The walk is flat and paved, so offers v little challenge, if any, to those not fit. Not sure about disability access though, as getting to the walk appears to be from the beach.
Shinyi — Google review
Excellent walk, possible suicide location. Views are best at dusk/ dawn. Whale and dolphin watching hotspot.

Pristine sunsets, birdlife, wallabies, quiet coves, beaches for surfing and swimming 🙏👍 littered with coastal banksia

Beautiful sceneries along the Coastal trail! Suitable for family !

Lovely place for a morning family walk. When the tide has gone out there’s Little Rock pools where you can find little sea creatures and explore for hours.

Museum
Nestled in the heart of Coffs Harbour, the National Holden Motor Museum @ The Bunker is a must-visit for car enthusiasts and families alike. This unique museum, housed in a historic WWII bunker, offers an impressive collection of Holden vehicles that span various eras, providing visitors with a fascinating glimpse into Australia’s automotive history. The friendly staff are eager to share their extensive knowledge about each vehicle, enhancing your experience beyond what you see on display.
Thought it was great whether your a Holden fan or not. Theee is also a cartoon museum wjich was also great. Well worth a visit
Angela K — Google review
Pretty cool place, I am a bit biased as a Holden fan though... It's a bit cramped for the number of cars they have, and it means you can't get close to a few. Cartoons are worth a look. They people running it ( I think are all volunteers) are friendly and knowledgeable.

Great place to spend an hour or two especially if your a holden fan
Kevin L — Google review
What a place to visit! It is a bunker. It was amazing, very worth visit and we went there on our holiday on the begining of the year. It was a surprise to my husband that loves holden cars. We spent time as well on the cartoon museum part and most of the time with the rich collection that they have there. You have to see It!
Zilma R — Google review
Great friendly staff that give you more information than what is written in front each vehicle. A good cross section of cars and eras. Very reasonable entry fee. Happy to return.
Andrew J — Google review
Plenty of parking. Super helpful volunteers with plenty of knowledge to share. Food was quite reasonable price and very yummy . Highly recommended
Dez R — Google review
There are not very many cars there to look at. Only took 20 minutes to view everything for $15.00 on a week day
Peter F — Google review
My son is a car nut and just loves this place . The staff were really welcoming as well .

Coffs Harbour War Memorial Olympic Pool is a great spot for swimming and working out. It features a 50m solar-heated outdoor pool and a 25m heated indoor pool, making it suitable for all weather conditions. The facility offers swimming lessons for kids and has attentive staff ensuring safety. Additionally, there are fun amenities like water jets for kids and a gym. The pool area provides warm showers, and the service desk even offers coffee and treats for children.
The gym is a great simple offering, well priced at $8 for a casual visit.
David J — Google review
I went to the pool with my family earlier today, we have a two and a half year old and a three month old baby. When we had finished swimming, we all waited for about 20 minutes to use the change room (which was fine). Eventually, we all went in to have a rinse and get changed. We were in there for no more than seven minutes, when a member of the staff aggressively knocked on the door and told us we had been in there too long. We are a family of four, with two small children, who had only been in there for a short time after waiting so much longer. I was honestly disgusted. If the staff want to create an environment supportive of families, then they need to be as well. I won't be returning.
Caitlin — Google review
The outdoor pool is beautiful, the small gym a hidden gem whith hardly anyone, the shower facilities need to be cleaned more often throughout the day though.
Craita H — Google review
I've enjoyed a few visits here since arriving in Coffs. I appreciate the indoor heated pool and the clearly signed lane distribution. Staff have always been friendly and the facility has always been clean and well presented. Particularly enjoyed the aquafit class last week.
Wendy F — Google review
Clean facilities, friendly helpful staff. 2 pools to choose from. Kids water park area. Full disabled access and a disabled bathroom with heating and built-in lift bed, shower bench, and movable shower head that can be hand held.
Carolyn S — Google review
We love our local indoor outdoor swim centre, with an easy access ramp.
Tihema E — Google review
It was my 18 months old boy's first swimming lesson since they shut down in March. We are both happy they are opened and lessons have started again. The swim teachers are fabulous, very welcoming and understanding that each child is different, water in the heated pool felt a bit cooler but showers in pool area beautiful and hot
Kylie B — Google review
Very well kept pool and nicely run. Staff seem to be very viligilant around kids safety. Always someone watching which is good! Better than most public pools. Management just need to keep tabs on chlorine levels in winter in the heated pool. The outside pool seems to be spot on!
