Great value for money. I chose to sit in and eat, whilst the door was constantly opening and closing with delivery guys. It was almost like an Olympic sport there were so many of them, which presumably is proof as to the popularity of this place. Friendly service at the counter, despite the constant movement of people! I was lucky to arrive before the rush of crowds!!

It’s a shame. the cod was really really good. But the chips were overcooked and tasted like it was cooked in old oil.. or I just got the left overs.

Fantastic fish and chips! The fish is perfectly cooked – crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside – and the chips are golden and delicious. Portions are generous, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Great spot for a classic takeaway or casual meal in Plymouth. Highly recommend!

Having not been to a chippy in years, this place was a tasty and welcome reintroduction. I had the halloumi bites with small chips and a side of garden peas, which was more than enough for my ravenous stomach, so had to share with my partner. The halloumi was melt-in-mouth sumptuous with light fluffy batter, while the chips were not too greasy and the peas flavoursome. Service was very friendly and considerate. Overall, an enjoyable, affordable visit – and one I'd not hesitate to repeat.

The food is absolutely fantastic... I am a meat eater and have a fine taste for all things chicken! Hands down the best special chicken burger I've ever had in my life!! My parentner.. for all her sins, is a veggie and I quote "this is my favourite takeaway"!! The price is more than fair with the portion sizes extremely generous (try the cheesy chips)!! I was very impressed by the quality of the fish and chips that I ordered, the batter on the fish was really crispy and not soggy at all like many of the other fish and chip shops I've tried in Plymouth. The chips were really lovely too, nice and golden and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fish was really chunky too, really nice big bits of white fish and it was clear that they hadn't tried to get 2 out of 1 by filleting it thinley. And tasted like it was freshly caught and fried in good oil. Service was great and very polite and smiley, I'm definitely going to the return again or get delivery from here.

Veggy pasty is full of mold :-( But cinnamon bun is amazing! We went there this morning to buy some food for our today's hike and bought (above other things) a vegan pasty and a vegan spiced roll, both from the open fridge. We wanted to eat it 3 hours later and both items were full of mold. We were really shocked. I tried to call the shop, but nobody answered. We were only this day in Plymouth, so we can't go back. Update: we reached out to the owners via Facebook, they explained that they don't make the vegan rolls and pastys themselves and assured us we would receive our money back. Didn't happen so far, but let's see :-) And I want to add, that the cinnamon roll is simply amazing.

As a Polish woman who truly loves and values high-quality bread, I can honestly say: this is the best bread I’ve found in the UK – fresh, beautifully baked, and absolutely delicious. The sweet pastries are outstanding (just like the ones back home!), and the coffee is simply perfect – rich, smooth, and full of flavour. The staff are always warm, kind, and professional. I absolutely love coming here every Friday – it’s my little weekly ritual and highlight. Jacka Bakery is a gem in Plymouth – a place made with heart.

Lovely little bakery! Over 400 years old but certainly not stuck in the past. We enjoyed some delectable overnight oats adorned with pistachios and chocolate, giant fresh doughnuts straight out of the oven, and some much needed flat whites. A perfect way to start the day.

This must be one of the best bakeries in the country. Truly a must-visit. There are no tables inside, only two or three outside on the street, so you may get wet on a rainy day.

I usually eat the bigger Moc when I go there as it’s delicious and totally unique, and I really can’t remember eating a better vegan burger. The banana and peanut butter milk shake was also awesome although I feel should be bigger for the price. The 2 cookies filled with a hazelnut Center are also amazing and probably the best cookies I’ve ever eaten. The chips aren’t bad, but are a bit of a let down compared to everything else. They are thin and crispy, I think they should try to improve them. The service seems to have improved now that they don’t have that foreign guy working there that tells you all the tables are booked when 60% of the restaurant is empty. I’m not sure why they have taken the dirty stop out Burger off the menu since it was delicious. They have a good selection of other food on the menu but I’ve never got past the burger.

The menu is incredibly creative. The food has so much flavour! Absolutely everything is vegan and they have a lot to choose from. It might be not the healthiest restaurant but definitely worth to visit. They sell deserts so you can take them home: cookies, cheesecakes.. you name it. You can also find some homemade mozzarella, the consistency and flavour is so similar to the real thing! Even non vegans will enjoy the visit.

Such great naughty vegan junk food. Who said vegans were healthy? 😅😂 All jokes aside, the mozza stix were DELICIOUS. Brie burger - messy but tasty as heck. Chicken was great, poppers were greater! Tomato dipping sauce with the mozza stix was incredible. Coleslaw was tasty and a nice refresher along with the rest of the bucket for 1. Worth the price for sure!

Vegan junk food at it's best. A modern vegan eatery, serving mainly gourmet burgers and pizzas. The dishes are really inventive and use a lot of vegan alternatives to meat and cheese.

Brought my girlfriend here for our anniversary meal and it did not disappoint, everything was incredible from the food to the staff to the funky music playing! Such a wonderful atmosphere and the best place around for yummy vegan food. I had the spicy chix burger and it was super hot but very lush. Will be back very soon!

Me and my sister occasionally visit this restaurant, I must have been about 8 times now. This place is a fantastic vegan restaurant, They welcome you with a very friendly service, Very helpful and polite during your visit. I must admit I'm not a vegan as such but my sister is, and although I'm used to eating meat, this is a wonderful alternative. The food has alot of flavour and care, as well as being very filling. If you're looking for a good vegan restaurant in plymouth, this is the one.

Visited the flower cafe with my mum and two young boys during half term. We each had a lovely themed afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the detail to match the theme such as the mini cauldrons on the wizard one and the dinosaurs on the dinosaur plate each holding cucumber and chocolate fingers were a great touch, as we're the shaped sandwiches. We will definitely be back again to try the amazing looking themed hot chocolates. Staff were really friendly and helpful, particularly with my dairy intolerant child who was really happy he could have dairy free cream. He is also excited to be able come back and have a dairy free Oreo hot chocolate some time soon.

Tanya and her team did an incredible job for an afternoon tea for a friends baby shower, even including props for photos and games and a baby shower banner which was so thoughtful. The afternoon tea was delicious!! The sandwiches were with tiger bread which was a nice change and the cakes were incredible😍. Would highly recommend especially for an personalised baby shower or event, and will definitely be visiting again!

I have been here two times now and had a food experience, the staff are lovely and polite. The whole atmosphere of the place is okay, however the food is okay, I ordered carrot cake and it was warm and when I had the breakfast it had about 3 eggs worth of scrambled egg, it was all really nice just weird to eat warm carrot cake and it was too much egg.

Booked 2 themed afternoon teas for myself and daughter and felt very disappointed. Considering i bought two we only got one scone with jam and no cream and one merengue between us, a few pom bear crisps. Seeing other people’s reviews of how wonderful it is and all the things they had on there like two scones and cream! Little egg cups with candy gloss for the unicorn theme, strawberries, cucumber and to get one small angel cake slice cut in two i expected more and at least expected two of everything and two displays considering this is what was paid for. It all just looked bland and thrown together. Im not one to complain due to social anxiety i just won’t go back sadly as it is a lovely looking cafe and the cakes on display looked lovely its just a shame really.

Food was delicious and cute. portions and toastie fillings were very generous, and I could even have lactose free cream! Adorable space with a cosy garden too. Staff were very friendly and understanding. Child friendly.

We booked in advance. Table service was so so as they was shortage of staff. We had the deluxe tea set. The cake was homemade but tastes quite dry. Scones was on the dry side too. But the sandwiches was very good. The tea set came with tea or coffee can not pay the price difference for the special drinks they have.

Came in with my daughter for some lunch. What a lovely little place. Nice atmosphere with lovely staff & the food was really good too. I hope to visit again next time I'm in Plymouth. The chicken & vegetable soup with thr bread & butter on the side was tasty. The chocolate milkshake was equally as good.

We had such a great experience! The bubble waffles not only looked incredible but tasted even better. They offer both standard and children’s sizes, which is perfect for little ones. I have dairy and gluten allergies, and they were more than happy to accommodate my needs – so appreciated! The staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel really welcome. I have been coming to Kawaffle sporadically for over 5 years. The staff are always polite, friendly and accommodating to those with food allergies and intolerances. They use a separate waffle maker for those who have a gluten and/or dairy allergy, or who are vegan. 🥰 The waffles are always DELICIOUS! 😍 They have a lot of different flavours and toppings (savoury and sweet waffles, hot drinks, milkshakes etc.). All at affordable prices! The venue is wheelchair user accessible and is located in the Plymouth Market Place (about a 5-10 walk, ride or drive from Drake Circus shopping centre). They have dining in and takeaway options. I highly recommend, and will return again! 🤗

A little gem. All bubble waffles are gluten free. They have a good range of savory and sweet, andany vegan and dairy free options that are very filling. Staff where knowledgeable and helpful. It's tucked away in plymouth market with seating. It was a very pleasant place to sit and not overly crowded. We will visit again!

Absolutely amazing! Myself & my children created our own waffles, the prices were very reasonable and they tasted incredible.

Such a gem! I had a savoury waffle, it was perfection. The waffle was soft on the inside but crispy on the outside, the ingredients well thought and really pairing well together, and the waffle was as easy to eat as a sandwich. Would highly recommend and will need to go back to try the sweet waffle next time! Attentive and friendly service.

Featuring galleries dedicated to art, history and natural sciences, one can spend quite an enjoyable day taking in all the exhibits and contents of this museum. If feeling peckish, the restaurant in the entrance lobby is not only roomy but also serves good food. Don't forget to pop into the building across from the entrance as it is part of the museum and also features exhibits.

This was a brilliant museum to visit, showcasing the history of Plymouth and its surrounding areas throughout centuries! The exhibits about ships are really interesting with displays of different ones that sailed from the city, particularly the one heading to the North Pole. Information is also shown about how people followed their career paths from Plymouth and model of the city's planning is well-crafted, creative imagery of outdoor areas is admirable itself too! Various cameras and their usage in theatres are delved into, television promotional aspects are revealed also. Artwork section is very creative with the likes of a pram holding up a twig with leaves, multi-headed women and a tree with unique branches off of it!

The Box is a great immersive/interactive museum which provides all ages a great way to experience history from in and around Plymouth and surrounding areas. It’s a real eye opening experience which provides different rooms full of unique information. I’d strongly recommend this to University students or people who are passionate about history. Although families or younger adults may also enjoy certain sections of the museum and of course the gift shop! There is also a small cafe downstairs which provides a variety of drinks and snacks if you plan a longer visit!

So much to see and do. Took my 9yr old Granddaughter and we both loved it. Cafe was reasonably priced and good food too.

In this eautiful building from 1910 you can find an interesting " for all the family" exhibitions about Plymouth's history and prehistoric history, a small nature museum style exhibition which is very interesting and a modern art one too. Free admission, nice cafe, pleasent staff , absolutely perfect. Highly recommend visit.

Modern museum, presenting the history of Devon in an interactive layout. The buildings themselves add to the experience and have been well integrated to suit the different display spaces. Easy to spend a whole looking at the exhibits and talking to the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

First time back dining in today since the last time they got rid of salads & jacket potatoes. We thought of trying their jacket again but we were disappointed esp. with my tikka masala, chicken was chewy & obvious processed meat and lack presentation like it used to be, i mean no sides included. Definitely the Tavistock branch is 10 times better when you're looking for dining in.

Having been to Cornwall for many enjoyable holidays and sampling many Cornish pastries I was very disappointed with the pasty I bought today.. there was very little meat/steak in the pasty not making it value for money at £4.95.

Was the first time me and my bestie went in there we had lovely customer service. The food was lovely to no complaints from us very friendly and smiley staff and good choice of music girls.

We got lost in Plymouth, and we couldn't find the parking where we had parked our car, plus were exhausted. So, we stopped at the Original Pasty House Plymouth, and as well as eating lovely pasties, the staff, Helena, was very helpful with us. She helped us to find our multistorey car parking, after describing it to her. Helena was very warm, welcoming and patient with us. The pasties were excellent and she offered us to have them warm and a selection of sauces. We were very impressed and grateful ! Many thanks.

Wrote a 1 star review on Just Eat with my comments earlier which seems to have suspiciously turned into a 3.5 star review on there and deleted my comments so I’ll leave a review here. Ordered 2x Tuna jacket potatoes for delivery today which came to a total of £16?! Thought it would be worth it as I used to have pasty house delivered all the time and it was always delicious. I was VERY disappointed. The tuna jackets arrived and they were absolutely awful. You used to get a salad and coleslaw and the potato was presented in a long box to accommodate it all, however now all you get is a tiny box with a potato in it and no accompaniments. The tuna was bland, the potato was freezing cold and slimy, they didn’t give us ANY cutlery? So how were we supposed to eat it? The butter in the potato made the box disintegrate and I ended up with butter all over my lap. It just tasted awful? Soggy and unappetising. I can’t believe I spent £16 on something I could have made way nicer at home for a fraction of the price?! This place has honestly gone majorly downhill, I used to rave about it all the time but now I’ll be telling everyone to AVOID at all costs. What we were presented with was honestly insulting, don’t know how they’re getting away with it? Actually worse than Spud U Like and didn’t think anything could top that!

Well well! Since when did a giant pasty which to me looked no bigger than a large or medium become £6:15. Yes! Since when did a pasty become that ridiculous. It just sums up greedy Britain. There is no need for food to be this expensive. I’m noticing constant rises in food and it never comes back down, just like fuel. Just greedy companies squeezing more out of the tax payer . Shocking

Love the service and staff here. If you love cycling it's perfect as there is a cycling club. As for the coffee its perfect, coconut latte every time. If you need a sweet fix the banana toast is lush. 😋 This time we visited using the wheelchair. Staff came out with a mini ramp without any hesitation or problem. So thankful for that. Highly recommend this place for its coffee ☕️ xx

Nice atmosphere inside with a bicycle theme, lots of old and new bikes, cycling shirts and bicycle bits and pieces. Sitting outside is a great place with views of historic buildings and the boats in the marina. They offer a range of cakes, but the two cakes we had were so sweet we couldn’t eat them!! So if you don’t have a sweet tooth maybe give it a miss. Maybe they need some less sweet alternatives like granola bar? The staff were great super friendly and helpful.

I've never had anything less than a perfect experience here. I truly believe they have the best coffee in Plymouth, with a great funky atmosphere, delicious food that's delivered quickly and always with a smile. I think it says a lot about an establishment that the team are always smiley and laughing and seem to be having fun, just a fantastic place.

What a wonderful experience! We were caught short in the rain this morning, looking for somewhere for a breakfast and coffee were dogs were allowed. Stumbled across this place, never been in before but will definitely be returning! From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by a friendly server, Obviously very busy, offered us a table that had just been vacanted but was cleaned very quickly. He was very warm and welcoming, happy to talk about the specials and have a friendly laugh and joke with us. Drinks were out in minutes, food not much later. Fresh, tasty, quality well cooked food! Lovely coffee. Really pleasant chilled out vibe, obviously with a cycling theme! We are not 'intrested' in cycling at all, but it was a really nice place and you can understand an ideal stop for those with a cycling interest! Will certainly be returning and also well recommend!

My partner and I visited yon Tuesday for our last meal out before travelling home. The cakes were delicious we had the carrot and walnut cake and it was very soft and moist. We also had a smoothie each and they were amazing. We played a game of scrabble using an in house board. The staff were lovely and friendly. We will definitely be back!

we called in for a light lunch. We had 3 truly tasty dishes, a soft ciabatta roll filled with salami, halloumi and salad, a delicious salad with shredded roast chicken and a flatbread piled with salad and halloumi. We would highly recommend this cafe. The staff are friendly and there is a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere here. We also enjoyed the chilled vibe of the music playing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I revisited this cafe this morning for it's good vegan food. The Vegan Breakfast is still quite nice and their drinks are still made well. Unfortunately, some things are not as good as they were before. For example, they used to have a great variety of vegan options and now it seems rather limited in some areas. Also, I had a member of staff spill coffee beans over my back whilst I was eating and there wasn't even apology. That said, most of the staff are friendly and smiley. I would say the value for money is not quite as good as before either, but that was my personal experience. Please see below for my original review from 2 years ago... "Blown away! Went for breakfast with friends and had a full vegan breakfast with one of the best vegan milkshakes I have ever tried. It was also fairly cheap, especially for somewhere in a city. For example, 6 brownie-cookies for £15. I would recommend getting there early to avoid the long queues, as it is very popular at the moment."

Wow! Sorry so late in posting. We were lucky enough to book in for the second ‘late bird’ before Christmas. We were too late to get into the first ‘late bird’ - and now I know why! I have nothing but praise for the whole evening. Greeted so warmly by the lovely staff who served an amazing cocktail as we sat down. We had a sharing platter to start - I can’t actually tell you which of the five or so choices were the best! This was followed by the best duck dish I’ve ever tasted! (The red cabbage was out of this world!) Compliments to the chef! Pudding is my thing - I’m afraid I’d eaten most of my choc torte before I took a photo!!! The meal was superb but it was also the atmosphere and the warmth from the staff that made the evening. Please do the ‘late night’ again! Lol we enjoyed the meal so much we actually went back for a late lunch the next day! Although there was a queue it moved very quickly and my word worth the wait! I suppose if people queue to go here there is certainly a good reason why! We left with two loaves of home made bread which omg - well you just need to try it! Totally recommend this family run business - how lucky is Plymouth to have not one but two Early Birds’!!!

We only had to wait for 10 mins for a table on a busy Saturday morning which we were grateful of. It felt were clean and safe. Super efficient service paying when we ordered. Super tasty Brunch, loving the smashed Avo & Poached egg. Shame there is only 1 toilet so a bit of a wait, but loving the smellies in there! My favorite place to Brunch with the girls! **Yet again** We had an amazing experience, no wait at all as we chose to eat outside, shady but sunny! I tried something new, the Baked potato hash with a poached egg and extra sourdough toast. Sooooo glad I did it was delightful, hubby went for the breakfast stack and was not disappointed. We are super excited you have a new venue opening soon, even closer to us AND town, can't wait to see you there!

Response to the owner's comments - I don't think you actually read my review properly as we did go to your Mutley Plains location (hence why I posted my review on this location, not your city one) and we ate outside. Regardless, however, since your venues are not dog-friendly, we won't be returning. ---------------------------------- We came here for brunch on a Monday. I'm Aussie and sadly this is the first Aussie brunch place I've ever been to that is not dog-friendly so we had to eat outside, luckily it had stopped raining beforehand. We had the Veggie Mojo Sweet Corn Fritters and the EB Stack Pancakes with luxury Belgian hot chocolate and breakfast tea. The food was good, and service was attentive. Probably would have come back again on our trip but given it's not dog-friendly we decided not to.

I love this place and always take people there when we're visiting the Barbican! Service is incredibly friendly and cheerful, and the ice cream is always incredible, with weird and exciting flavours (lime and avocado sorbet!) as well as old favourites. The flavours rotate so there's always something new to try. The bean feast dessert is ridiculous in the best way!

⭐️⭐️ After we had fish and chips, my friends and I were looking for something sweet to end the day in Plymouth. A friend of mine who lives in the area suggested this shop, Valenti’s Gelato Venue. There were several kinds of Gelato to choose from and you can taste them for free before picking one or two that you like. The Gelato was just ok for me and as expected from dessert shops, a little pricey. I paid £4.45 for three scoops. I don’t think it’s worth the price but some of my friends enjoyed it. Probably not coming back when I’m in the area again. 2 out of 5 stars.

I had a lovely crepe with an added scoop of chocolate coffee ice-cream and was very impressed by how friendly the staff were. The photo doesn't do it justice I ate it before I bothered to take a picture!

We had milkshakes you get more for your money in a milkshake. As they put 3 scoops in ,very nice staff clean and tidy with sitting area out side.

The ice cream was great, I had apple sorbet, they checked it was ok for the sorbet to contain milk which I greatly appreciated. The coffees were good and prices were what I'd expect for the area. We sat outside on a table with our dog and enjoyed the sun and atmosphere. The staff were so polite and helpful and ice cream scoops were generous. My brother lives in Plymouth and raves about this place, their vegan chocolate is award winning! Next time I'm visiting I'll be back.

We contacted Mrs Browns Bakery at very short notice after deciding that we did in fact want a Wedding Cake for our Wedding! G at Mrs Browns was very happy to talk us through the process and give us all sorts of ideas as we didn’t really know what we wanted. We settled on a fun themed cake, inspired by a cake they’d previously made, with a small cup cake tower next to it. Not only were the cake and cupcakes actual works of art, the texture of the sponge was super light and moist and the flavour of the jam and butter cream of the wedding cake, and lemon sponge with lemon curd filling for the cupcakes was sublime. As you can see from the pictures below, we can highly recommend Mrs Browns for any cake needs….

We ordered the Friday couple set, which was super cost-effective. The platter breakfast was very abundant, with generous portions. The latte coffee was also delicious. The staff were very friendly and would always inquire about our satisfaction with the meals.

We needed branded cupcakes to gift our referrers and Georgie stepped in to help, with no fuss or complications. She understood what we needed, and she exceptionally delivered. Not only does Mrs Browns make delicious cakes, wraps and salads they do a banging breakfast too! Georgie also makes little doggy puddings that my dog adores so when it came to his first birthday I had to ask her for something special for him and she did not disappoint! Mrs Browns did my wedding cake this weekend, supplemented by doughnuts, cupcakes and brownies and it all tasted delicious and was displayed beautifully! Cake tasted fantastic and all of the guests enjoyed it and were eager to dig in! Everything was exactly how we had imagined it and it was absolutely fantastic, thank you so much!

Don't get me wrong, the food is nice and the service is lovely. I have been to a lot of ramen restaurants and had to compare honestly with those that have blown me away. The food was quick. All the pak choi and veg was clearly fresh. What let it down for me was the lack of flavour and interest in the dishes. The spice levels were very mild and there wasn't any notable flavours. I don't think this place deserves 4 stars only, but I do think it deserves slightly less than the 4.8 it is currently sat on. I hope this makes sense.

The food is fresh, cook in front of you, very tasty and the attention is excellent, friendly and quick. I only wish they were open later. My favourite is the chicken katsu curry, but the noddles are also amazing

Having regularly adventured to the food spots in the market, tea & bun have been by far my favourite! Fresh tasting food with wonderful flavours, all at good prices with great service to match. I particularly recommend the karage as it’ll beat any sort of fried chicken you’ve ever had.

Ive been here a few times and tried a few different dishes, and every time it never disappoints. The prices are very fair and this reflects on the portion sizes too. The setting and friendly staff make for a great atmosphere and experience. Definitely recommend 👌🏻

Sooo good! I got a dirty chai and it was perfectly spicy and a hint of sweet. And their Menemen and it revived me. It was so juicy and piping hot and I could probably eat an entire loaf of their homemade sourdough The vibes were good too! The owner works everyday and his cat and dog just chill in the garden and pick who they wanna sit next to. Plus the dog has a purple Mohawk so it really doesn’t get any better than that

Came here for lunch for the first time and will absolutely be coming back! Lovely food with a great selection of food and drink at a great price point considering the location and a very quick and excellent service.

I ordered the Turkish delight breakfast, accompanied by Turkish coffee and baklava — all of which were absolutely fresh and bursting with flavor. The staff were exceptionally friendly, with Paula standing out for her politeness and sweetness. It was a delightful experience, and I will most certainly be returning.

This cafe is truly a hidden gem of Turkish delight. Set in Plymouth old town (curiously called New Street) just off from the hustle and bustle of the Barbican, along the old cobbled street, this looks like a traditional English tea house. The interior is quite enchanting - the garden even more so! Sitting in the warm summer sun you could almost believe you were in Turkey itself surrounded by a traditional Turkish decor and Turkish waitresses. We had a fabulous lunch of Mad Merchants Turkish Delight and Sourdough Smash and a pot of Granny's Garden fruit infusion. We also indulged in the marvelous cakes! Such a wonderful alternative and so relaxing. All the staff were so courteous and engaging. We will definately return and recommend to all our friends. Amazingly good!

Just back from a fantastic visit to this place. A lovely welcome from all the staff we encountered then offered water while we looked at the menu and a bowl of water and a gravy bone biscuit for the dog. We sat in the garden on the beautiful covered seating. A good selection of cakes to choose from. I highly recommend the coffee and walnut cake. So many different teas to choose from and a savoury menu of lunches that start at noon, plus you can get breakfast too. Will definitely go back again to sample more goodies. Really recommend.

We loved the food tasty and good portions. The outside area is nice and Cosy. Thing on the menu, Can be made vegan if asked. Brekky is till 12 after that hour you have other options. Multiple variety of coffees, milkshakes, chocolate and smoothies.

Ordered gluten free pasty , owner was lovely service was brilliant. But £6 for a pasty that wasn't even nice . I know they are warmed to order in a microwave which doesn't help but obviously to avoid cross contamination this needs to be done .

We happened to stop in after walking past and seeing all the happy customers! It was so hot and delicious! We shared a medium and it was a the perfect snack. The service was incredibly kind! We were so happy to stop in.

Had a regular size traditional pasty and it was excellent in all aspects. I agree with a previous review about the amount of steak/ meat being less than some others but it is definitely an excellent product. Good taste but not too spicy like some others do. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

Probably the best vegan pasty I've ever had. I've tried vegan pasties all around Plymouth and the surrounding areas. Without question this is the best one. The pastry was delicious, flaky and "buttery", the filling was seasoned really well and it had a little something extra (maybe jackfruit??) that made it special. The lady that served me was lovely and friendly and there were a couple of regulars sat by the door that said hello when I came in. Lovely little place, it's my new go to pasty shop. Big love!

This is a good pasty, a bit smaller than you would expect to get further west for the price and description (this large I would consider a medium). Could do with slightly more steak, especially in the centre and I personally prefer a bit more pepper but that's personal taste. The service was top notch, friendly and swift. Overall a good job but not quite 5⭐ for me

Beautiful food, fantastic flavour. Still tasting the garlic 3 hours later from the Tzatsiki but that is not a problem for me as I love garlic. The chips are beautiful and light but crispy, a shake of oregano would make them more authentic but that's just nit-picking. Just one star short of 5 because more meat is required, the salad to chip to meat ratio in the souvlaki is too heavy to the salad. The greek flat bread is a tad thick but very tasty and for a British version, not too bad.

Tasty food. However for two chicken wraps and two small beers not even half a pint expensive at £20. Especially when you are use to paying 2.50 euros for a gyros. But that is the UK

This cafe is Excellent. In presentation its clean and well laid out. The noise level when full is not overwhelming. The staff are very polite, they make a point of greeting us mornings and are never gloomy. They are very on the ball and do not keep us waiting long for our drinks and food. I popped into Oggy Oggy Pasties and was blown away by how good everything was. The pasties are absolutely delicious – perfectly baked with a golden, flaky crust and packed full of tasty filling. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and each bite is hearty and satisfying. My server was Isla and she was warm welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Service was quick, and the place had a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re after a quick bite, a proper Cornish pasty, or even something sweet from their selection, Oggy Oggy Pasties is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be going back – highly recommended!

I turned up a bit late and had a chorizo and ham pasty. Tasted fantastic and the pastry was lovely. Not too hard not too soft. Getting a couple for the journey home tomorrow, great pasties good prices. Sausage rolls were buy one get one free, even better.

Had the large traditional pasty with chips and cravy. Pasty was burnt rock hard at the base and undercooked on top. If i was to replicate it myself i would need a frying pan and zero interest. I could not eat it and can not recommend it.

So good we came back a week later. Great selection of ice creams, reasonably priced and great service. It was great to sit outside and enjoy, until it started raining heavily. The owner gathered everyone into a smallish indoor area and chatted freely with us. We are a big fan, even though we are from Exeter!!😁

Staff are wonderful, 2 ladies working when I went were very friendly especially with my children ordering. Very surprised at the size of the portions for what we paid. Definitely be returning and a credit to the young ladies working!

I ordered two coffees and one scoop of ice cream and it took them 20 minutes and we were the only customers, the young boy and man just chatted as they we doing everything and the man was prepping a tray for a dessert they do and wasn’t washing his hands or wearing a hair net. I am making the hair net clear because in my Ice cream when I got it there it had one of his hairs in it, by the time we got the coffee we were in a rush unlike originally so we asked to get them to be in ‘to go’ cups and they handed me two cups and asked me to put them in the cups. The coffee was also cold and wasn’t full in the mug one was sweet and one was incredibly bitter even though I had put three sugars in it.

Always the best place on the Barbican for home-made icecream. Very friendly and always chatty and jokey with the children. A trip to Berties is always a fun thing to do especially when the sun is shining. No better place to be.

And this weekend we collected a wonderful cake for my parents 50th wedding anniversary, it looked incredible and tasted just as good! Highly recommended! Wow. I am ecstatic that I have found this little gem of a place. It is by far the best bakery in Plymouth. Lovely, friendly welcome. The homemade Blueberry, lemon and Elderflower cake was to die for as was the yummy quiche and the perfect coffee. My only wish would be a full cafe/seating area either on the existing site or in central Plymouth. Would love to visit with friends and sit in to sample all the amazing produce.

Family Ice Cream Spot 🍦🍨🍧Great Location, Mixed Experience. Located by the children's park and overlooking the seafront, this café provides indoor and outdoor seating, serving hot and cold beverages, breakfast, burgers, chips, snacks, and of course ice cream. I've been visiting for years, mainly for ice cream outings with the kids however, recent visits were disappointing. The pistachio ice cream was tasteless, and the beloved bubble gum option is no longer available, though the vanilla flavour and sundaes were enjoyable. Staff appeared unfriendly and overlooked hygiene, especially when handling ice cream cones. Using a paper napkin or similar while serving would help prevent direct hand contact, reducing the risk of contamination after handling cash, cleaning tables, and serving. Still worth a visit for the location!

We wanted to visit this place as a family but due to a particular staff member being extremely rude, we went elsewhere. Such a shame as we have visited many times and we had a 5 year old with us so we wanted to have a nice treat to make the most of the weather. My job entails having customer service skills and unfortunately I think someone here could do with learning them.

Popular local micro brewery with a taphouse Good range of local brewed ales and a stout. They also sell the excellent 'Andsome Bay cider by Hunts. Great looking pizzas on the menu, didn't try the food but it looked good. Parking wasn't too difficult if you are willing to take a short walk from parking in a side street. Don't try to park in the yard as the parking is reserved for the adjacent businesses.

What's not to love about this place, the staff are brilliant and friendly you can totallyhave a good laugh with them, the sour dough artisan pizzas are amazing and second to none. Comfortable seating areas (leather sofas), and the choice of in house ales, ciders and lagers are endless. My choice of poison being ale, there are so many to work your way through. And the best bit is they sell there in house drinks in cans for the journey home on the train. The can also look total sweet too. Love this place.

I always swing by when I can for an ice-cream, the staff are friendly and for what you get the prices are very good. The shop has a large variety of both flavours and cones. A perfect little treat for when you're out and about.

Tremendous value here. 2/3 price of Salcombe and nearly comparable flavour. Blood orange sorbet (not quite as vibrant as the blackcurrant in Salcombe) and Banana & Chocolate Fudge (really good)

We love this place! Dropped in over the weekend and they were super busy due to pirates weekend, my son had an accident and dropped his ice cream before leaving the shop, the chap behind the counter replaced his ice cream avoiding tears and upset and wouldn’t take a penny for it. I recently ordered a lemon cake for my husband's birthday, expecting the same delicious quality as my previous purchases. Unfortunately, this time was disappointing. Although the cake looked appealing, it lacked any lemon flavor, the base was dry and crumbly, and the cream was nothing more than solid butter with gritty, unmelted sugar. This was quite a letdown for such a special occasion.

Me and my husband, came in for a coffee this morning. The ladies were really busy making up cakes ECT. They were really friendly and lovely ladies. The cakes looked nice, even though we didn't have one this morning. We will come back and have a try another day. The coffee was really good as well, lovely place to have a drink in the outside area.

I ordered six tray bakes for my 30th Birthday. Custom service was amazing, they explained all the slice sizing and numbers and were flexible with collection. All the cakes tasted incredible. They went down a storm at the party and everyone kept asking where they were from as they were delicious. A brilliant range of Vegan and Gluten Free as well. Cannot recommend enough!

Games, Food & Drinks were amazing we loved how friendly the staff were and the ambience was great. Me and my partner we were enjoying playing games and eating however, they could do better at providing more intimate seating areas or some way to create separate seating pods for everyone because groups of people enjoying themselves didn't realise how loud they could be causing us to constantly struggle to hear each other so we didn't stay for long.

Only popped in for a quick bite but will definitely come back! Our server Sophie was the best, happy and chatty and even helping us pick out a few games to play! Highly recommend

Always really enjoy it here. Good games and atmosphere. Was slightly disappointed on feeling rushed out mid game - States unlimited time but told time was going to an end. Fair enough if seemed like people waiting to be seated and we weren't ordering? But was loads of free tables and we were ordering. Hasn't put us off and enjoyed our time but made us cautious of what unlimited really means.

5/5 stars Well decorated, nicely designed, friendly boardgame café with lots of choice. Love that the tables had space underneath them to place the boardgame boxes. A big thank you to the female staff member working on Nov 2nd who was incredibly friendly and very kindly explained to us how Sushi Go! was played. Also there was a great choice of food to eat on the menu, I loved the pepper and chilli rice bowl. Was a lovely way to spend my birthday 🥳

Twist the "Board game Cafe" is a place I have been meaning to visit for months. When I heard of the concept for the place before opening I was excited, something new and exciting for Plymouth and finally seeing it my expectations have been more then met. Twist Cafe serves Coffee's and Tea's, have a variety of flavoured syrups and offer milk alternatives including Oat milk at No extra charge which is quite pleasantly unusual. They also serve a good selection of alcoholic drinks including Ciders, Beers, Ales and spirits intact the drink selection was much more extensive then I expected by far. I had a Caramel Latte which was very nice and a great partner to the podcast I was listening to. I was a little peckish so decided to have a slice of Carrot Cake which was nice and decently sized and tasty. The main attraction however is the HUNDREDS of board games you can play and I mean hundreds! Shelves full of them and apparently even more had hiding upstairs that I did not see. The board game goes from classics like versions of Monopoly (from classic to Mario Kart edition and more) to Catan, Dark Souls, Wingspan basically all the board games you can think of and so many more you have never heard of. This will be a perfect place to have a nice drink, play a game and just have a laugh the decor and atmosphere is nice and relaxed that is perfect to play some games. Will have to return with company to play some games can't wait to return to Twist 😊.

Enjoyable afternoon, great way to catch up with friends and play some good games - old and new. The atmosphere is nice and friendly and the staff are great too. It's clean, tidy and very well laid out. The toilet were immaculate as was the food service area which served great beer and snacks. Only downside was the uncomfortable seating, my butt fell to sleep - due to the inadequate cushioning. That aside it is an enjoyable experience which I'll do again... Just maybe take a rubber ring next time. Lol.

First time trying a cake box cake and I’ll 100% be a returning customer. The Victoria sponge was absolutely delicious - so light and airy, the strawberries fresh and juicy and decorated beautifully. The staff were chatty and very welcoming, talking me through the cakes on offer and the different flavours, toppings etc… The personalised message on the cake is a lovely touch. Overall, I’d highly recommend Cake Box!

This order was very important, and I made sure to book it well in advance on Sunday 31st of August 2025 to avoid any issues on the day. Unfortunately, the service I received was unacceptable: At 4:30 p.m. on the delivery day, the cake had still not arrived, so I called your store. I was told it would not arrive until around 6:30 p.m. or later. During the call, staff appeared unsure whether my order was even for that day. I had to confirm that it was indeed for 3rd September 2025 at 4:00 p.m., as clearly stated in my booking. It seemed from the conversation that the cake may not even have been prepared until after I called. In the end, the cake was delayed by several hours, leaving me and my guests extremely disappointed and disrupting my son’s birthday celebration. I booked this cake for a specific time and occasion. Delivering it hours late defeats the purpose and shows a lack of care in handling customer orders.

I love their cakes…. Scrumptious looking and taste really good, Not sweet.. no egg bake as they say. the good thing about it is they have individual piece in each different cake flavor.. the fruit toppings was fresh and how clean and presentable their cakes.. i just hope they will have mocha chiffons…

I realized I would be late to collect my order and the shop was about to close, but she completely understood the importance of my occasion. She kindly went above and beyond by taking to her residence so I could collect the cake later. We bought a chocolate cake. Good value and the cake was really nice. We find a lot of chocolate cakes are too sweet but this one wasn’t like that.

As someone who is allergic to egg yolk this shop is fantastic for me , very rare I can find egg free cakes and these are the best I’ve had

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you for hosting My friend’s baby shower, we had such a great time! The cafe is beautiful and light and fitting in 19 guests wasn’t a problem at all! We had the most yummy afternoon teas, my gluten free one was delicious, full of cakes, sandwiches and snacks, we were spoilt for choice a lot of us had left overs to take home! Danielle and team were so accommodating, making sure we all had a constant supply of hot drinks and fitted around our baby shower games and photo taking!! We were able to bring our own decorations and come half an hour earlier to set up which was perfect. Really recommend cafe amor if you’re looking for a baby shower venue, located by the gin distillery and within easy walking distance to nearby car parks. Thanks again and we will be back for a cuppa and piece of cake xx

Great find on our weekend trip looking at Universities, arrived Friday on a rainy afternoon but met with a smiley Jessica who served us delicious warmed scones and a much needed pot of earl grey tea... very chilled ambience, great food, a good selection of music and very reasonably priced. Went in again on Sunday before we had to head back home, had a chicken mayonnaise sandwich served with salad and crisps, enough to share between the two of us, also took home 2 slices of freshly made carrot cake!! Had a little takeaway of cannolli's too, couldn't resist😁

The store located conjunction with Drake circus shopping centre. The store considered as always busy environment. It is part of M&S policy, the store is clean and good arrangement interior. Price can be varies depending what you are shopping.

I went there today to buy Jersey boxers for myself. The underwear is very good quality, if a bit expensive. Socks vests etc. Is all I buy in there. In my opinion the men's wear is over priced, I have bought shoes but not much else.

I go to marks and Spencers to get some fruit but as walking past the bakery the staff there was seen putting doughnuts in a bag of sugar with no gloves on and then wiping there face as well absolutely disgusting none of them where gloves to touch the food . and when I mentioned it to staff they did not seem that it was an issue can you imagine them going to the toilet and not washing their hands disgusting 🤒😞😞😞

Very dissatisfied with the hearing aids my Mum bought from M&S audiology department in Plymouth City Centre. First pair, mould not taken and they fell out and unrepairable, my Mum had to pay for a new pair. I query that the original pair didn’t fit properly due to mould being taken originally. Next pair cracked and fell apart when put back in the docking station.100% my mum hadn’t dropped them been heavy handed etc. She looks after them as you would when they cost an over £2,000. She’s now expected to pay for another one! Look what I found on a website about the providers - Hearing Aid UK notes that Scrivens, the company behind Owl Optical, has consistently ranked low in Which? reports on hearing aid retailers, suggesting a need for caution when purchasing from M&S Hearing. Importance of aftercare: Which? reviews emphasize that audiologist. Beware.

Went to town specially to buy an M&S gift voucher for a birthday present and was declined, told I would have to go back in a few days time because they had stopped selling them. I laughed, and bought the gift from a different store, and won't make that mistake again. Thank you M&S who obviously don't want customers.

Awful pasties purchased 3 steak where was the meat just potato and onion . Meat patties used to be the best now all pastry gone to big lost the family concern .

Large selection of food which is displayed behind a glass cabinet. The food is very fresh especially the cakes, yummy! The only disappointing issue for me is the staff as a disabled person whose movement is slow and I have difficulty in handling small items such as money it would be considerate of the staff to slow down a little when giving change so I don't get embarrassed dropping it as I don't visit the shop now due to this x

Disappointed with last 2 visits, 1st time ordered sausage and egg bap, the young lad annihalated 3 eggs so I thought what was the point as my egg was well over done. Today asked for same, thankfully not the same server, but got home to find bacon instead of egg, which I have never ordered in my life. Unimpressed. However I know if I was paying more attention it could of been rectified. Shame really as I know Friary Mill is fantastic for the community. Just my luck.

Friary Mill have several bakeries around Plymouth and whichever one I visit I can always be certain of fresh delicious food served by a happy to help team. Pasties are my definite favourite! Well done to you all.

I understand that the face masks have come in but it's one rule for another up there when you got a member of public stood there without a face mask and then you're told to put one on, found the staff to be very rude

Went here this morning 13/04/23 had a cinnamon cronut and coffee. Both the cronut and the coffee were great. Asked if they mixed if I did some work on my laptop which they were fine about. They gave me some complimentary sour dough toast and butter which was really nice. Really impressed with Rise. Great staff.

Very quality pasty filling. I noticed a subtle taste of red wine in the gravy which was a nice change to the pastys I've had before. Only minor complaint was the pastry was a bit heavy but overall was a good experience. Staff were friendly too, had a good laugh with me when I mentioned about forgetting my keys on the way to the car. I'd recommend grabbing a Cornish Cola too. 😀

Amazing cronuts, sandwiches and freshly baked baguettes served with good coffee and really friendly staff. The salted caramel, jam and cinnamon cronuts in particular are incredible!

The smell was absolutely love and gorgeous it will attract you to come and buy the fudge. The fudge is smooth and creamy and soft and when you push your tongue on to the fudge it will crumble like a roast beef in your mouth I would recommend going here best fudge shop in the south is 100% this brand

I walked into this beautiful shop and the smell just blew me away! Bought the 4 packs for £20. Tried the bailey's flavour already... wow! Great gifts or treat for yourself. The guys there was very friendly unfortunately I did get the name. Definitely visit if in the area.

Part of a chain though they make the fudge in store. The other site we have been to is in Looe and is far nicer as you can watch is being made. Our favourite was the butterscotch and it was this year's South West gold winner 🙂

It’s always a pleasure to see Heyl at local events and food markets. The service is always super lovely and everything I have tried has always been delicious. My hands down top treat from them though is the sweet brioche, no matter what epic flavour combo they make it always tastes incredible. A couple of my fave flavours have to have been the blood orange or the choc-hazelnut but whatever flavour they have at the time will not disappoint!

The best vegan bakery I have visited in the UK. Real sourdough, real flour, delicious bakes, great filter coffee, lovely service. The cinnamon bun was AMAZING. We also took home two savoury sourdough mini pizzas which were absolutely gorgeous too. Next time i need to come earlier to try more of their range!

Absolutely amazing bakery! Everything is full of flavour from the loaves and focaccia to the cookies and cinnamon buns. They use fresh, seasonal and local produce and could not recommend enough. Plus everything is made by two inspirational bakers.

Lovely independent bakery using sustainable and plant based ingredients. Good for the planet and good for us. I mainly get the sourdough loaves and the cinnamon buns but they do a range of breads, cakes and pizzas. They stock in many places around Plymouth but we prefer to get directly from their small bakery at Alma Yard.

Absolutely lovely sourdough bread. Watch out for their special early evening special pizza events. Wonderful and so tasty sourdough delights made in front of you. Extra warm and friendly service.

I ordered an Afternoon Tea for Father’s Day and my Dad’s Birthday, which was on the same day! My husband is allergic to onions but Kim went (I believe) over and above to accommodate his needs by making quiche and sausage rolls especially for him without onions! We also had an enormous amount and selection of sandwiches, made with bread baked that morning fresh, we also had the most amazing choice of sweet treats including, strawberry tarts, frangipans, chocolate tortes, carrot cakes, cupcakes, mini muffins and macaroons plus of course, the afternoon tea staple of scones with clotted cream and jam! There was so much food that we didn’t get round to the scones till the following day and none of us ate anything else after the Tea! Price wise, it’s slightly more than other Tea places but when you look at the quality and quantity, it’s more than justified! Shout out to Emily too, who wrapped and packaged our Tea for collection! I cannot speak highly enough of this little bakery I’ve just found but will definitely be visiting them again very soon!

My wife's birthday cake was obtained from Lulu and Dolly's Micro Bakery for the 2nd consecutive year. Not much point in getting a cake from somewhere else as they just don't compare. Hand made and decorated to your specifications, the result was exactly as requested. I'm not a great fan of chocolate cake but the result was light, moist and extremely tasty. We had to restrain ourselves from eating it all there and then.

We have had take away cream teas from Lulu and Dolly’s a few times now and they have been absolutely incredible! Fresh, really tasty and seriously good value. If you haven’t, you are missing out!

Quite a disappointment really. My friend ordered a cake for my birthday but the cake was hard as rock, apparently it was a hot knife cake and they forgot to mention that. Also, the entire message had errors in it which is absurd because the errors were not in the name but grammatical errors. That is still not the issue though. The cake looked beautiful no doubt but it had these sugar based pearls on it and once the cake was cut and the pearls went everywhere, it was not the best experience because first the cake was dry, not moist then the layers of chocolate made the cake's upper layer too hard to eat and the sugar pearls were hard and if you bit on it by mistake they hurt the tooth. Needless to say for 40 pounds, the cake was a disappointment for sure. Once we got in touch with the lady who owns the business she was rude ..like horribly rude and started throwing accusations. All I wanted was an apology.The cupcakes that were ordered additionally were delicious hence the two stars. So yes, maybe to grab a bite the place might be good but don't let them make a cake for you unless its to be used in for decorative purposes only!!

My daughter and I visited lunchtime today. Shr had a full English Breakfast and I had Carrot Soup with a hint of chilli. We couldnt resist a piece of cake for afters. The food was excellent, good quality, home cooked. We were given a warm and cheerful welcome. Highly recommended a visit.

Sweet or savoury, everything I've tasted here is bursting with flavour, and as a frequent visitor I've tried quite a lot. Whilst this is only a small establishment, the ever changing menu offers great variety as well as a most welcome selection of regular goodies.

I ordered some chocolates for my boyfriend while we were holidaying in Plymouth - they were amazing! I’d thought I’d made an error with the shipping vs billing addresses and was contacted straight away to confirm, then when I wasn’t in to receive the delivery it was left at a gallery across the street (very secure!) for me to collect and when my boyfriend opened his present he was amazed by the colours and flavours. Fantastic customer service and really great taste!

Just got myself some delicious chocolates and a beautiful chocolate teapot for my nanna for mother's Day. She loved it, she said it's too beautiful to eat and such a unique gift. Seeing her face light up when she opened was so lovely. Thanks Nick your chocolates are amazing and a huge thankyou for delivering to me in these troubled times. Haven't been around the RWY for a while but discovered Domea Favour tucked away in what was the managers office in the Brewhouse building. It was quaint, full of delicious chocolate creations and cakes. We had already had a coffee elsewhere but indulged ourselves with a couple of caramel and toffee slices. Very friendly proprietor and proud of what he's created in a small space.

Had some little treats myself and husband a hot chocolate - all were delicious. Loved the truffles!! Also had some bespoke chocolates made for father in law for Christmas. Normal response from father in law about everything is fine, but the domea favour chocolate received an EXCELLENT .... in 11 years never heard him say any food is excellent - so seal of approval from a very grumpy old dude too! Will definitely get some more!

Came here to enjoy the chocolates, but only got a glimpse of them through the small windows of the closed doors. According to every source I could find I visited the establishment within its opening hours, but alas – the inexplicably closed doors caused my sweet tooth to leave unsatisfied. Nice door, but not edible and not what I came for.

Purchased mixed box of Brownies for my parents. They were very happy and enjoyed the lovely brownies very much. They were impressed with the packaging and the letterbox delivery. Will definitely order from Briony again.

I was given some of Briony's Brownies as a gift and they were amazing! I've tried the milk chocolate ones which are classic and a flavour of the month 'ferrero rocher' which were fab! I'd highly recommend trying them!

Briony's Brownies are amazing. Perfection in every bite and a perfect blend of gooey center and crispy edges. Yum :)
