Bakery
Cafe
Bakery Nouveau is a charming bakery and cafe known for its French breads, sandwiches, quiches, and pastries. Visitors rave about the delectable sweets and sandwiches available, often finding themselves purchasing more than planned due to the tempting selection. The bakery's chocolates and cakes are particularly praised for their beauty and make perfect gifts. Their almond croissants are a standout item, with a generous size that allows for sharing.
I love this bakery. I've come here a few times and gotten different things. The pastries and food are decadent and light. They taste fresh and are genuinely worth trying. It's a really small and quaint place, it can be cramped when busy but I think it's cozy. Definitely give this place a try if you want a fresh tasting treat.

Bakery Nouveau is an absolute Seattle and Seattle area bakery! I am so fortunate to live in West Seattle and have a location next to me! The staff is always really nice and they all provide excellent customer service and they are always upbeat from my experience. The space at the West Seattle location is kind of small and the line can get long, so sometimes they have you line up outside. The space feels very much like a cozy traditional bakery/cafe. I enjoy the decor of the space. The food is absolutely delicious! I love their desserts, which are totally premium quality! They also sell sandwiches and bread, but I have only ever had their desserts. They sell coffee as well for a little pick me up! My favorite desserts are the tiramisu and the mocha chocolate cheesecake. Both of those items are incredible. My wife enjoys the pistachio cake that they make. I also enjoy the Paczki that they make. Paczki is a polish donut. They don’t always have it on regular basis, but when they do, it’s amazing! Overall, I highly recommend Bakery Nouveau if your looking to satisfy your dessert craving, or if you’re just looking for some coffee or lunch type of food!

Overall Rating: 3.5/5 (6/10) Recently wanted some pastries while in Seattle and heard of this spot! Walking in it was a small quaint cafe with only a few tables, which was fine. We were intending to leave with our product anyway! Large selection of Macarons, danishes, croissants, cookies, and more. We selected a strawberry pistachio cake slice, a chocolate covered Madeline, a honey pecan scones, and a pear Danish. I will say it felt a little rushed getting through the line, but it was 9am and they were busy. It just made it hard to get a good look at everything, if we had more time I think we would have chosen different or more options. We got to the car and opened the strawberry pistachio slice, it was good, however way too sweet for my liking, unfortunately couldn't finish it. The Madeline was good! But a bit more dense than we were use to. The scone was for a friend, they really enjoyed it (it smelled and looked good) and last the pear Danish was for my boyfriend. I stole a bite and that was the star of the show! Amazing Danish. I will return again to try other items in the future.

Such amazing sandwiches, bread, and sweets! I love the breakfast options and my favorite sandwiches are the ham & cheese baguette, California club, and BLT. I love you can get a slice of cake if you’re solo or want to try several options. Three downsides to consider. 1. Bread, breakfast, and sandwiches sell very quickly so try and get there before noon so you don’t miss out. 2. West Seattle store is very small & narrow and the lines often go into the street and it’s a bit chaotic honestly especially if it’s your first visit. Hang in there and try and go with the flow of others and you’ll be okay. However, if crowded social spaces make you anxious, this place may trigger you during busy times. 3. They’re closed Mondays & Tuesdays 😩 So try and stock up breads, etc on Sundays if you’ll have a craving. I also want to mention how amazing ALL their staff are. Always polite and kind and patient while you order. I’ve been a regular here -sometimes weekly- for four years and I’ve always had a positive experience (minus the crowded shop) with the friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you’re craving decadent pastries and cake or need a fancy cake for a special occasion. And the bread - good variety. Perfect for your holiday occasions & holiday orders can be placed online for convenient sidewalk window pick up.

So excited sharing my first experience. Very cute place for hang out if there’s a spot, the croissant is fresh (you could tell when you bite into it) cute macarons (very sweet you’ll needed when you’re on low sugar levels) Amazing service ☺️ will definitely recommend this place.
Chotika C — Google review
Friendly and helpful staff and tasty pastries and strong coffee I would say this is a grab and go type of place. The line is pretty long though it moves fast. While there are tables inside, it does get pretty loud Took me some time to find it as I couldn’t see the sign with the name outside Took me a while to find it though as I could
Olga K — Google review
I almost missed it walking by. I love the cakes and croissants at BN. I know for a fact that they use good ingredients. I came in 3 minutes before closing. I haven't been here in years. Now that I live close by, I will be here more often. The service people were welcoming and very friendly. They weren't in a hurry to close. This place is a treasure. It's hard to find a bakery that sells cakes with real Italian or French buttercream.

A gem in West Seattle. Artisan breads, cakes other assorted treats. The cheesecake is always a winner. When you come by be sure to visit the husky deli a few doors down and try their famous ice cream.

Bakery
Coyle's Bakeshop, located in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle, is a beloved cafe known for its delectable array of freshly baked goods. Rachael Coyle, the pastry chef and owner, has created a cozy and Instagram-worthy space where patrons can savor expertly crafted pastries like mini cardamom kouign amann, pain au chocolat, and cream scones.
So thrilled Coyle's is just a 5 minute walk from my home. I absolutely adore their bakery here. My favorite by far is the Cardamom. It has a subtle flavor, making it the perfect bite to wake me up in the morning! 💗

Their lemon poppy bar is amazing! Not too sour but full on lemon flavor- super creamy not too sweet. Which is perfect. Flourless brownie I would say is my favorite brownie ever.. it is also creamy in texture, not too sweet, great salt and sweet balance. Coffee is on the acidic side if you enjoy that. I took off a star because you cannot order an extra shot but need to order two extra shots because their espresso machines only do double at a time. Since i do not want a watered down 16 oz, i had to pay for 2 extra shots instead of 1, so the coffee gets expensive if you want a 16oz.
Ahran J — Google review
Excellent carrot cake; the scone is really good too; but one of the chocolate croissants we got was under proofed - disappointing! Overall happy with the quality (except the croissants) and I will return for carrot cake (not for croissants).

best bakery in seattle hands down!! such a hidden gem! canele, sandwich, and quiche were out of this world!! so good!

I waved to try this new place and it was really good. We got a sample of just about everythingand i think my favorites were the crossiant pretzel, chocolate crossiant, and the ham & cheese crossiant. I also tried the brown sugar cardamom latte and the black tea blueberry latte. Everything was wonderful and the place was really nice. I will most definitely be going back.

The loveliest local bakery with exceptional coffee from Camber. The currant cream scone is a must-try.
K P — Google review
I really wanted to like them. Stopped by a morning to get some goodies and do some research for a future venture. I settled on a chocolate croissant, a rosemary cretzel (croissant/pretzel hybrid), a flour-less brownie and their seasonal fruit croissant. They were all stuffed in a small container that opened the minute I turned around. Unfortunately, only two of the above managed to tickle my fancy. The chocolate croissant was not as flaky as expected, doughier and the brownie was so salty I could only eat two bites at a time. The cretzel's rosemary taste was barely there but it was pleasant to eat. The seasonal fruit croissant saved the day a bit as it was the tastiest of all four. The size of the items is also remarkably smaller than other shops in the immediate area. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, there is inside and outside seating. Frozen items are also available for you to bake at home. Another visit is warranted to compare but I will not be rushing back, unfortunately.
Pablo Z — Google review
The work crew gave rave reviews to the treats from Coyles... The quiche, the iterations of croissants, the millionaire bars. Delish! Excellent coffee as well... Top it off with a fantastic staff and you've got a perfect baked good visit. If you are looking to bribe people with baked goods... Which I shamelessly admit I do on a weekly basis... These dainties will take you far. Parking is street and can be rough.

Bakery
Sea Wolf Bakers is a craft bakery located in Seattle, aiming to establish itself as the bagel capital of the West Coast. Founded by brothers Jesse and Kit Schumann in 2014, Sea Wolf initially baked loaves in cast-iron pans during off-hours at Boat Street Cafes before opening their own brick-and-mortar space.
Got the chocolate croissant and oat chocolate chip cookie. The croissant part of the chocolate croissant was amazing. Super buttery and flaky. I didn’t love the chocolate they used though. I am a fan of dark chocolate but this chocolate had more fruity notes and was a little darker than I like in a pastry, i prefer something a bit more rich, but this is definitely the perfect croissant for somebody. The cookie is pretty good, not the best ever but definitely good. The space is nice! We went on a Sunday in the summer and the line was long but moved very quick. There was lots of outdoor seating in the courtyard and they had a large accessible bathroom!
Olivia C — Google review
Sea Wolf is a fantastic spot to grab a quick bite and a good brewed cup of coffee. The vibe here is relaxed yet inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for both solo visits and small groups. While there’s a decent amount of seating, it can get a bit crowded during peak hours, so plan accordingly if you're looking for a quieter experience or table. I was really impressed with the coffee—it’s rich and flavorful, and the cookie I had was definitely the standout treat. The cinnamon roll, on the other hand, was good but not great. It would have been a game-changer if it had been served warm, especially since it was a bit chilled. A little warmth would have made all the difference with the icing. That being said, Sea Wolf is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Whether you're looking to fuel up for a productive work session or simply want to enjoy a book in the sun, their outdoor patio is a great option. Overall, a solid choice for a casual coffee break or a snack while on the go!
K L — Google review
Went into Seawolf Bakers, and their matcha completely surprised me — so rich and smooth, definitely a highlight. The cinnamon roll had a ton of raisins, maybe a bit much for my taste, but still tasty enough to finish. The place has a cozy, inviting vibe, and yeah, there’s usually a line, which says something. Known for their a fresh loaf to take home. Totally worth a stop if you’re in the area
Siddhant K — Google review
Sea Wolf is one of the best, if not the best bakery I’ve been to in the United States! This is not to be missed if visiting Seattle! There is a spiraling line out the door every day, which will take you about 10-15 mins to wait through. They use non-GMO local flour to make all their breads and pastries and it is so incredibly fresh and divinely flavorful. They really know the key to flavor pallets—there is a hint of sea salt that dusts their breads to enhance the profile. Their sweet croissant was my favorite, which had rich tahini, sweetness from strawberries, earthy sesame seeds and honey drizzle. It was the perfect harmony of sweet and savory on a toasted croissant. Their seasonal focaccia was perfect chewy and had crumbled goat cheese with chilis, small sweet notes and pesto lightly spread throughout. It was a perfect texture of chewy and crispy. My favorite combo was the date cake, which is a whole wheat loaf slice with nuts, seeds and dates. I dipped it in their spicy masala chai—which is also some of the best I’ve had! They use whole ground spices and it is so potent in flavor and aromatic. They also have chili and sea salt dusted in the foam to add a savory kick that brings out the masala flavors. It is a must try, especially dipping the date cake into it! Also recommend the savory lye rolls, which are their series of topped pretzel buns and breads. Their croissants are also some of the flakiest I’ve ever had, almost like filo dough. You really can’t go wrong, order a few items! Their staff is so friendly and will answer any questions you have. There is also ample outdoor seating and half a dozen tables inside. I really loved coming here because it is a small business people can feel good about supporting. They source from local farms, use quality ingredients and pay their staff a livable wage. With the open kitchen concept you can also see each baker/staff member cracking eggs, hand cutting fresh strawberries, kneading dough, and prepping trays. They keep this to as authentic and minimally processed as possible and it really reflects in flavor and how you feel after eating. I truly love this bakery and wish there were more that adopted their practices!
Allison L — Google review
Excellent spot. They have a select few options but each one (that we had) was done really well. We had the seasonal focaccia, the sweet croissant, and the savory croissant. We loved them all - (even though this is a personal thing) I did feel like the snap peas on the savory croissant gave it a weird smell. We also grabbed their olive oil sandwich bread which is good! Nice for making avocado toast. Finally, their drinks: the seasonal matcha strawberry was BOMB. The ice coffee was average. Would highly recommend this place. PS They are a ‘no tip’ joint ad their prices reflect that.
Daniel W — Google review
The class was super fun and interactive, we got to see every step of the process and the teacher was very knowledgeable and sweet. We got to take home dough, starter and fresh bread (yum!) and instructions on how to continue our journey to becoming a great home sout dough baker! The next day I baked my bread and they came out amazing!
Rebecca F — Google review
Best croissant I've ever had. the millefeuille texture is excellent. We tried almost everything and got a rye sourdough home. Must visit, cozy nice seating area outside friendly for kids and pets
N N — Google review
Strawberry tahini and savory asparagus and chocolate croissant were definitely the best items out of the 8 we got. Will say only slightly annoying thing was ordered a cinnamon roll and it was cold. Asked if we could get it heat up and was told no but we could buy a new one and they could take it out fresh… which was disappointing .

Le Panier is a must-visit spot in Pike Place Market, offering a delectable array of French-style baked goods. From freshly baked bread to macarons, the handcrafted goodies showcase authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. The bustling bakery entices visitors with an assortment of pastries including croissants, brioche, feuilletes, sables, and meringues. Their signature fruit-filled croissants provide a delightful taste of summer regardless of the season.
I recently visited Le Panier at Pike Place Market and had a truly wonderful experience. I ordered a latte and a cinnamon roll, and both were absolutely outstanding. The latte was perfectly balanced smooth, rich, and creamy exactly what you hope for from a good coffee. The cinnamon roll was fresh, soft, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and despite the busy location, the service was fast and friendly. If you’re in Seattle and visiting Pike Place Market, Le Panier is a must-visit for delicious pastries and coffee. Highly recommended!
Par M — Google review
The long lines for Le Panier made so much sense once I got my latte’s, the raspberry croissant, and the macaroons! The raspberry croissant was such a standout—flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. Pairing it with a latte and those delicate macaroons? Total win. And yes, the warm service really adds to the charm and coziness of thjs place!
Arch S — Google review
Waited in line for about 40 minutes or so on a Sunday morning but the pasties were delicious. The pistachio eclair was the best I’ve ever had. The almond and chocolate croissants were flaky and good. The tomato pastry was amazing and the mushroom one was also a tasty bite! The Palmer was also good. We ordered a few things to try. Overall, it’s delicious! You decide if the wait is worth it. 😊 For us, it was because we wanted to give it a try!
Katelyn L — Google review
Wasn't super impressed. As someone who was visiting from oklahoma I expected more from Seattle food and coffee. Out of all the sweets we gor the eclair pistachio was the best. The brioche raspberry had almost no filling. All bread. The latte was more bitter then I would normally like even with a bunch of syrup. Probably wouldn't come back again
Vikki ( — Google review
Beautiful food and atmosphere. I truly wish I would have grabbed more but I will know for my second visit there! 🥰
Lauryn B — Google review
Great pastries are located here. The wait can reach around the building so be sure and get there early. Seating is available inside and you can enjoy your pastries while Pike street market operates.
Art M — Google review
One of the best chocolate croissant I have had! So so good! Yes there ends up being a long line at times but it's so worth the wait. I did not get a chance to try some of the other options but I cant wait to visit again.
Omer R — Google review
The intoxicatingly smells of the fresh bread and croissant wafting from this shop will draw you in immediately. The baked goods are on par with what you get in Europe. This is worth all the wait and hype. The service is friendly and fast. Seating is hard to find because it’s always busy but still totally worth your while.

Wholesale bakery
Columbia City Bakery is a popular counter-serve bakery in Seattle known for its housemade breads, pastries, and cafe fare. They take pride in using natural starters and minimal commercial yeast in their bread-making process, which has made their bread a staple in many of Seattle's restaurants. In addition to their delicious bread, they offer a variety of pastries including donuts, Danishes, and scones.
A mainstay in Columbia City with regular weekend lines around the block, this bakery offers well-executed classics plus some creative twists and flavor combinations. I visited on a weekday to avoid the crowds and that's what I'd recommend! I started with an Alaska breakfast sandwich and a chorizo hand pie, both tasty! The Alaska is served on a very unique sourdough biscuit—somewhere between a biscuit and an English muffin, maybe? It has a nice texture. You absolutely can't miss their seasonal Danish. When I visited, it was plum and cream cheese. The sweet plum, creamy cheese, and flaky crust are an outstanding combo. Another standout is the savory bread pudding. I'm not sure if this is a regular offering, but if not, it absolutely should be. The texture is amazing, especially warmed up, with gooey cheese and crispy bits of bacon. Other favorites for me are the mini fruit pie (or the whole fruit pie, if you're serving a crowd), the coffee cake, and any of their focaccia slices.
Kyle C — Google review
Ive never had a bad treat from here, but a few of their shining goods: PB cookies, focaccia, and ham & cheese croissant. This is the best peanut butter cookie I’ve ever had! It’s so easy to make a bad peanut butter cookie, which is why, imho, they’re so under-appreciated. However, CC Bakery knows the secret to an excellent PB cookie! Chewy, not hard; high in PB flavor—not covered in sugar or distracted by chocolate chips. The ham & cheese croissant is large and they don’t skimp on the fillings! The hours here are weird and there isn’t a lot of indoor seating, but the food is worth it!
CE D — Google review
I had a walk-in visit one day and got a traditional croissant. In fact, I got two because they sell everything in boxes of two (which definitely pisses me off). The croissants look more American than French, you know, like an apple pie or a mushroom turnover, but they taste surprisingly not bad at all, and the cross section reveals some really crafty lamination. Columbia City Bakery currently only opens two days a week from 10a to 3p, so it's not easy to get something casually from them. Maybe I'll come back when their operations come back to normal.
Yü W — Google review
Delicious local bakery in the Columbia City neighborhood. I bought chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies this visit. The chocolate chip cookies are baked with walnuts and toffee. Delicious! They have lots of other tasty options including scones, croissants, sandwiches, and coffee. PS If you found this review helpful, please "heart" it. Thank you!
Jennifer W — Google review
I really like the pastry. Croissant is very well laminated. My problem is the operations hours (evaluated as service here). I’d expect - mainly on working days - that a bakery would be open before 8am. It’s frustrating and inaccessible for people who work regular working hours.
Nathalia Y — Google review
Columbia City Bakery is by far the best bakery in the area. I ordered cinnamon twist, lemon bar, and lavender lemon cake. They all were phenomenal. The lemon wasn't too over powering. I can't wait to come here again. Must go if you haven't already. Columbia City Bakery has limiting seating but there is a park close by so you can head over there. Also they sell out pretty fast so get there early.

Passed by this place on a Saturday. There was a good queue of people outside waiting to place their orders. It took about 10 minutes or so to get the order in and about another 5 or so minutes to get the order. Looked like there was a good selection of items. Ordered a curry potato and cauliflower hand pie. It was very warm on the outside and a little cool on the inside. The dough was very flaky and a little oily. It was very filled which was nice. I wish I had a little bit of salt to bring out more of the curry flavor. Also ordered a couple of blondies. Liked it because it was a nice big cookie shaped like a brownie. Would be good with some vanilla sauce.

I am new to this neighborhood and I'm proud and glad this is our bakery! I just got a whole wheat sourdough and a pistachio snail pastry that is mind-blowing good I'm glad that the pastry wasn't that big else it would be sinful! People commented that they were forced to buy two of the same items and I was concerned at first for someone with a small household but I'm glad that this wasn't the case I was there today :) Staff was so polite and helpful and gave me a recommendation for a loaf with my requirements. Let's support small local businesses! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

Bakery
Macrina Bakery, a beloved establishment in Seattle since 1993, is renowned for its artisan breads, delectable pastries, and savory sandwiches. The bakery's sweet treats are known for their rich and indulgent flavors, while the breakfast and brunch menus feature mouthwatering sandwiches made with fresh bread. With multiple locations in the greater Seattle area, including the spacious Aloha Cafe on Capitol Hill, Macrina Bakery offers a diverse menu that blurs the line between bakery and restaurant.
I’m not sure how this place could be anything less than 5 stars! Amazing staff, FANTASTIC coffee and great food!! The ham and Gruyère pastry was my favorite. As well as the peanut butter cookie. Lots of space inside and outside the bakery. People catching up or doing work. Everything is good you can’t go wrong!

Feel completely robbed. I bought three chocolate croissants, and as I was about to pay, a young lady told me the third one was offered because it was slightly damaged. I appreciated the gesture and thought it was a nice commercial move. But in the end, I was charged around $20 and realized I had actually paid for the damaged one. Even worse, when I opened the box, none of the croissants were fluffy; they were very hard, almost as if they were failed batches. I feel totally ripped off paying for that. It’s not professional, nor respectful toward customers. I definitely do not recommend this store.

Small but mighty. Great coffee. The cherry hand pie at this location was way too crumbly, falling apart in my hands as I bit it ..I would guess from too much shortening or lard. The nectarine upside down cake was better. I would rank the new MI location over this one on every level but as far as Queen Anne goes...a solid bakery stop.

I have been here a couple of times and I like this place. I liked their blueberry scope and the croissants and recommend them. We also tried the bagel with creme cheese and salmon which was good as well. My wife tried the sausage and kale strata which was nice as well. I liked the bagel and salmon better.

I love this place! Local bakery with space to sit and enjoy company with treats in hand. I recommend their bagels and breakfast sandwiches 100% Also perfect for lunch or just grabbing desserts.

Best avocado toast I've had in my life! I've been dozens of times to their several locations, and the pastries and food are always top notch. But today they outdid themselves. The avocado was creamy and unadulterated, the bread was the perfect crunchy grainy texture, and the lemon vinaigrette was the perfect zesty counterpoint to all the other flavors. Service was great as usual. And it's always a pleasant place to sit, at every location, flooded with light.
Tom E — Google review
We tried the blueberry scone and almond pinwheel, they were more like bread, very little sugar, nothing special
A. T — Google review
Macrina is my go-to when I want a sure thing for pastries and bread. Classics like the croissants sell out, so mornings are your friend. Coffee is solid, and locations feel bright and welcoming—easy for quick catch-ups. If you’re headed east, the Mercer Island café is a convenient stop right off I-90. Everything travels well; I often grab a loaf to elevate a simple dinner at home.

Bakery
Fuji Bakery, located in the International District on King St, is a unique fusion of Japanese and French pastry. The bakery prides itself on using carefully sourced ingredients to create an array of delectable treats. Their offerings include perfect croissants in classic buttery style or various flavors like mango, almond, and strawberry. Additionally, they serve a delightful ruby red Danish pastry filled with cream and topped with red grapefruit.
You don’t come here for the atmosphere. After all, it’s a hole in the wall—almost literally. This corner store has all of its freshly baked pastries in the window. No need for a menu; just point. Their crunchy, cream-filled malasada donut is my favorite, with the beef curry bun coming in close second. Don’t leave without also ordering a matcha to pair with your goodies. Easily one of the best matcha lattes in the city. They also sell Shokupan milk bread for sale upon request. You can thank me later.
Richie D — Google review
I’m so glad we stopped here while we were in the international district. We only got two malasadas, as we had lunch right before. If we are nearby again, I will definitely stop by so I can try some of their savory pastries. Both of them were so good, my favorite was the ube, but we also got a strawberry which was delicious too! As the other reviews mention, it is window service only so you cannot go inside.
Ava — Google review
Its not like modern bakerys You just order at the door and your good. But you can definitely taste that they perfected everything they have. Yes I have tried it all. The curry and ube and the crunch creme are my fave and recently the one with actual strawberry on top.

I special ordered a cheesecake and cat macarons for a 16th birthday party I threw for my cat, Lucifer. Everything was perfectly done and so delicious! The cat macarons had different expressions on them, which my guests adored. The order was also completed on time and I picked it up without any issue. Thank you so much! I will definitely order from here again for future events.

Great place to get Japanese milk bread (shokupan) - $4 for half a loaf. Excited to come back to try the curry buns. No indoor seating at this location.
Andrea S — Google review
Cute bakery with a wide selection of pastries. The azuki malasada was delicious and not too sweet.
Riley J — Google review
FYI: I came to Fuji because an employee of another bakery recommended this one. Just saying... Food: I had a plain croissant, a doughnut, and a pear, custard, and pastry delight thing. The donuts are sold in orders of 4, not individually. All were rich, and not oily or fatty, not overly sweet either. The pastries were delicious. Service: The young man forgot to include a raspberry/lemon curd pastry i ordered as well, and was charged for. The only reason I gave a 3 on service. The customer looks at available pastries from outside the store through a window. The employee then packs your order and you pay at the window. Its not self service. Getting your order packed is a service they provide. So... But easy remedy, next time I'll check the bag before leaving, not in the Uber, on the way home. Atmosphere is great. Beautiful Chinatown. There's an awesome plaza/park across the street. Asian staples like lanterns adorning the overhead, ping pong tables always full, benches with game boards in laid, and communal/social interaction. Love it. You can easily walk across the street and enjoy those pastries there. And this gem is right next door to A+ Hong Kong restaurant (also a gem).
Terri V — Google review
My sister in law chose this place for a quick morning snack. It was all new to us and we were from out of town, Vancouver, Canada. Located in the international district, at first glance the store doesn’t look like much and the door is blocked up with a wooden board. You can’t go inside. It’s a takeout place only. I think I can understand its concept. This part of town looks a bit rough around the edges. But we could care less. We are here to judge the food instead. We were also told by local patrons that it’s normal for a line up this early any day of the week. We ordered a few items to start off. My personal favourite so far is the Japanese curry beef bun. Loved the layers of texture. Crunch on the outside, followed by a pillow layer of the bun on the inside, and the center filling which is the star of the show. Man these can be deadly. I could eat 6 of them. You can also ask for them to be warmed if you didn’t know. Primarily if it’s your first time here, they are known for their malasada. Definitely get one of these. As for price… well… It’s on the high side. If your Canadian like me add another 40% to your items, that’s what your paying. But that’s not my complaint. My only complaint is that they posted a sign for their drinks with prices… but they don’t post prices for their pastries? What’s up with that?

Saint Bread is a bakery and cafe located in a former boat-building facility behind the UW campus. The establishment boasts a team of talented bakers, including Michael Sanders of Plane Bread and pastry expert Randi Rachlow. The menu features globally inspired dishes such as teriyaki turnips over toasted farro, fried egg sandwich with American cheese on melonpan, broiled salmon on rice bowls, Japanese melonpan, yuzu polenta cake, and cardamom croissants.
What a wonderful spot to grab a breakfast sandwich and many other tasty items. Lovely outdoor seating and ordering is very convenient and fast. My favorite was the fried egg sandwich which I had to replace the bun and add sausage/bacon for. I ordered their animal style fries, which were pretty good but I would say it’s a serving size for at least 3 to 4 people. I’d give the breakfast sandwich, a five out of five and fries a four out of five.
Alex N — Google review
Mind blowing baked goods (danish was to die for), good sandwiches (we had a Fried Egg sandwich with extra sausage and mushrooms, and it was good but not great - lacked flavor and sauce, buns were awesome though). Coffee (latte on almond milk) was good (they use Proud Mary beans) - 8/10, matcha was good too 7/10. Lots of seating available. Line is a bit long but moves fast.
MAXIM P — Google review
We’ve been wanting to come for a while, so impressed with the quality, vibe, and service considering the place. It’s in an old, I assume, boat house. Two outdoor areas to eat, one with water view. Looks like behind they have an event space too. I had their signature brown sugar toast and a pastry. Both delicious. Highly recommend but get there early, it does sell out and the lines can be long. Pet and kid friendly .
Kristen M — Google review
So yummy! I had their avocado toast with a fried egg added, a cardamom bun and black coffee. The bread for the avocado toast was very thick and a very nice grainy, nutty flavor to it. The lemon and za’atar seasoning on the avocado added the perfect flavor to it. The cardamom bun was so yummy, this is great if you want something a little sweet but not too sweet. The coffee was perfect- I typically only add cream and sugar to coffee if the flavor is mediocre, but this coffee was already so good that I didn’t need to add anything to it. I definitely want to come back and try more things on their menu.
Allyson B — Google review
A nice spot to relax after walking from UW. I ordered the cheeseburger with a fried egg. The meat was juicy and every bite was satisfying. The staff were friendly and the service was great. Semi-outdoor seating adds to the chill vibe.

This place practically has a cult following. The only time there isn’t a line out the door is when they are closed! The menu is globally inspired- definitely with an Asian lean. I had the breakfast sandwich on melon pan with bacon. The extras kind of add up, but… it was delicious. I’m glad to see they have expanded their gluten free offerings. When I went there years ago, there wasn’t much my gf mother could have.
Peggy C — Google review
So good!!! Amazing bakery and great location with outdoor seating. Expect long lines on the weekends but so worth it, their coffee is Proud Mary, an amazing roaster from Portland. Recommend the avocado toast and melonpans

Came in on a Saturday and although there were a few groups ahead of me, it only took a few minutes to get my order in. Even though it was busy, Kimberly was really helpful/friendly when I asked for recommendations. I ordered several things and all were 10/10. My favorite was the Danish Dream Cake. Took it back to my office and ate it embarrassingly fast 😮‍💨

Dahlia Bakery is a cozy spot that offers a variety of breakfast items, pastries, sandwiches, and their signature coconut cream pie. The bakery's flourless cookies are described as rich and decadent yet reminiscent of homemade treats. The establishment takes care to avoid cross-contamination in its shared kitchen space. Known for producing artisan bread, pastries, and cakes in small batches daily, the bakery also serves breakfast and lunch options such as egg sandwiches, quiche, and daily sandwich specials.
This charming little bake shop is a must-visit for pastry lovers, but be sure to go early if you want the best selection! Their offerings sell out quickly, and after tasting them, it’s easy to see why. I had the pleasure of trying a mochi donut, cookies, a ham and cheese croissant, and a fosette, and every single item was absolutely delicious. The standout for me was the fosette—it was exceptionally tasty, with a wonderfully moist texture that made each bite pure bliss. The balance of flavors was just right, and it had that homemade touch that sets a great bakery apart. The ham and cheese croissant was another highlight. Flaky, buttery, and filled with the perfect ratio of savory ham and melted cheese, it was a delightful mix of crispness and softness. The mochi donut had that signature chewy texture, and the cookies were fresh and satisfying. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or savory, this bake shop has something for everyone. If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate to stop by—but remember, the early bird gets the best treats!

A popular local bakery with a variety of donut, pastries, breakfast sandwiches. The food was all good but not great; you might expect something amazing from a bakery, but it seems to fail on that point. Set expectations accordingly and this is a nice quick and cost effective breakfast. Expect a line, dine in seating is shared with Serious Pie until 11am.

Really good breakfast sandwiches but not $14 good. We got the bacon and the veggie sandwiches. The bacon would have been amazing if not for the sauce that is on it. The veggie was good but it was just missing something.

I walked in randomly off the street having done zero research and learned they don’t serve matcha— oops! They recommended Taz nearby, but I still got the smoked butterscotch oat cookie. It was divine! All their baked goods looked amazing, but I popped in 20 minutes before closed so there wasn’t a lot left.

Super cool little bakery connected to Serious Pie. Amazing pastries that change daily. Unbelievable unique Mochi (gluten free) donuts! And one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had! Nice outdoor seating as well!

Everything they offered looked SO good. The bakery side of things is absolutely worth going to. I had gotten a blueberry mochi donut and bacon and egg sandwich. The proportion of the breakfast sandwich was insane, but delicious. The only disappointment was the coffee, it wasn't anything especially great, but not bad. I just expected with their food being so good, the coffee would be the same. There wasn't a ton of interaction with the staff, but everyone seemed nice enough. The atmosphere however was very uninspired, really nothing special happening there, but that shouldn't be a reason not to go. Will absolutely be back when I'm in the area again!

My wife and I just stopped in for a quick breakfast sandwich and we were blown away! The bacon and egg sandwich with Beecher’s cheese, arugula, smoked paprika aioli on a toasted English muffin was THE best breakfast sandwich I have ever had in my entire life….and I’ve had some good ones!!! WOW… don’t ever change how you make these!!! Super friendly staff as well!
Thomas D — Google review
This place was a great find! I was looking for a delicious breakfast sandwich and that’s exactly what I got. It was super tasty with great, fresh ingredients. I will admit I might have messed it up a little by adding bacon because it did not need it and made it a little too salty. Their baked goods all looked amazing and they had plenty coffee/tea options. Be aware this place shares its space with Serious Pie which is a place on my list to try too. If I’m looking for a good breakfast sandwich and in the area I will definitely check it out again.

This was my go-to bakery and breakfast spot steps from my Airbnb during my vacation. My son said his sausage biscuit was the best one he ever had. I enjoyed several of their pastries on different mornings. Indoor/outdoor seating, Wi-Fi, a restroom code, Seattle prices. Friendly staff with quick service. Order, and they will call you for your beverage and bring your breakfast sandwich to your table. I highly recommend this venue.

Solid bakery fit a great morning start. Coffee was refreshing as well. We ate here before embarking on our cruise travels to Alaska…it was a short walk from the pier. The people seemed especially hospitable and we enjoyed our quick breakfast.

Friendly staff and quick service. I got a latte, which was excellent with beautiful presentation. I also got a Bialy Breakfast Sandwich, which was good, but could have used more goat cheese and filling in general relative to bread. Would go again, but I might choose a pastry next time.

The food is decent. No bacon tho on the bacon egg and cheese bagel. That was a bummer. They cant do substitutions because the sandwiches are pre-made. I also with there was a sauce on the bagel. My wife got the cate sandwhich. She said it was pretty good. We also got the pecan roll and the orange hazelnut pinwheel which were both good. Cute little shop for a coffee and a quick bite.

Way too sweet & dirty inside. Flies on the pastries and circling the seating area. Matcha latte tasted like Trader Joe’s instant mix. Star for friendly service.
Jay — Google review
I really wanted to love this spot but unfortunately the food didn’t hit the marks for me. This is my second Google review ever but I feel called to share my experience. Everything about the place is charming I love the cute neighborhood location very PNW. However, this was our first time getting the breakfast sandwiches and it left us severely disappointed. We ordered the Baily sandos and they came luke warm, with close to raw onions (that were supposed to be sweet and roasted), they were poorly put together, and had cold overly cooked eggs. I think if you’re going to spend $11.75 on an egg sandwich at least the eggs should be cooked properly. It felt like the sandwich was just slapped together with little care. I work in the food industry and understand the pressure of a busy morning with high tickets…. BUT, I also know that taking a few extra seconds to make sure the food you’re serving is as best as it can be can go a long way. I probably will not return as I don’t feel it is worth the price. I think if some adjustments were made the product would be 100x better.

Incredible pastries! We had the Boller, chocolate croissant, jalapeño cheddar baguette, and the pesto breakfast sandwich. All were 10/10. The place is also super cute inside and the staff is very friendly. Loved it and would definitely return 🫶

TLDR; bakery with a range of offerings and quality products We came in for a small bite on a rainy day and were overall quite happy with our experience here. Between the two of us we ordered an iced mocha (way too sweet, do not recommend), a cappuccino and some food - almond fold, chocolate thumbprint, lingonberry tart and the onion cheese puff. The puff is the real winner here - it’s so incredibly flavorful that I’ll definitely come back for more. Docked a start because I wish the shortbread cookies were a little less sweet. Coffee was ok - I’ve definitely had better.

I highly recommend visiting this place at least once if you want to eat just normal cookies like chocolate chip or peanut butter as well as if you would like to taste something very specific like marzipan pastries, semlor or  white chocolate mousse with strawberry coulis. Thank you for bringing the rich traditions of Scandinavian baking to Seattle! You definitely made Seattle more special, unique and international! Also, always nice and friendly service!

This is a very nice bakery that's an 11min drive from Green Lake. They have an awesome selection of breads, cakes and pastries to choose from. Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is nice. They've also got stickers if you like to collect those for places you've been. And there is decent parking in the area along the streets. Highly recommend.

I love Byen Bakeri. My usual birthday ritual is to buy many slices of cake to take home and also a lil somethin to eat right then and there. They even sell bday candles right there at the counter. Walk across the street down by the office buildings and find the perfect bench by the Fremont Cut to watch the boats go by. Sometimes you can even catch sight of the Fremont Bridge rising up! For this birthday I got a slice of Princess cake (an absolute MUST), carrot cake, raspberry cake, and of course chocolate ganache cake. All delicious! Thank you Byen Bakeri!

I visited a couple of times after trying the tarts at a dinner party. The tarts were excellent (especially if you are a fan of marzipan). First visit the service was so-so. Not great, not bad - indifferent is the word. Second time was not a good experience at all. Extremely discourteous and juvenile. I don’t remember ordering a double eye-roll from both people working behind the counter. Poor customer service does seem to be a trend here - I for one will not return.

A friend wanted to share this bakery with me. Oh my goodness. So many wonderful things to choose from. I ordered a nonfat latte flavored with cardamom. Delicious! For food I ordered a ham and cheese puff, which was basically a roll filled with, you guessed it, ham and cheese. I also ordered a sweet pecan roll to have something sweet. The coffee was made to order and perfect. The ham and cheese was fresh, but maybe next time I’ll stick with sweet things. The sticky pecan roll had just the right amount of cinnamon and sweetness. Can’t wait to go back and try more sweet goods.

Delicious Scandinavian bakery in Seattle! The selection is vast and tasty, from cakes and pastries to sandwiches and open-faced bread. The Radical chocolate chip cookies were a hit with a kid! The staff is friendly and there is a restroom available for the customers. However, the ambiance is lacking. To truly capture the hygge vibe, please consider adding more cozy touches, like plush seating and warm lighting, live plants and nice cutlery/plates. With a few design tweaks and some elbow grease, this place could be truly special!

Deep Sea Sugar and Salt is a bakery in Georgetown that specializes in towering cakes that are filled with sweet flavors. The bakery offers a variety of flavors, including earl grey cake that is held together with bergamot mascarpone cheese, and the chocolate-rich 9lb Porter cake that is topped with a vanilla bean custard. The cakes must be ordered seven days in advance and require careful preparation, so get your order in before pickup.
TLDR; absolutely superb slices of cake. Just the right amount of sweetness. We came in sometime after 2 pm, and several of their cakes were already sold out. Between the four of us, we ordered one slice of the blackout chocolate and 2 cupcakes - a chocolate pistachio and a coconut lemon cream. The cake slice was absolutely amazing - in spite of layers of ganache and buttercream, it wasn’t excessively sweet at all, which is rare. Of the cupcakes, the pistachio one was definitely my favorite - the pistachio filling adds a really nice nutty flavor. Highly recommend this spot!
Pooja C — Google review
The team at Deep Sea Sugar & Salt went above and beyond for our wedding cakes, and they truly ended up being one of the highlights of our night. Not only did our guests rave about them, but even our vendors couldn’t stop talking about how delicious they were. Kim, Kelly, Kinsley (and the rest of the incredible team) were so kind, thoughtful, and accommodating. Since we had to bring our cakes to the San Juan Islands, they partially froze them to ensure they traveled well and even arranged for an early pickup so we could make our ferry — that kind of attention to detail and care was so appreciated. And the cakes themselves? Absolutely stunning and unbelievably good. The carrot pineapple cake was my personal favorite and ended up being a huge hit with our guests. Every flavor we chose was beautiful to look at and even better to eat. We can’t thank Deep Sea Sugar & Salt enough for being such a special part of our wedding day. Their cakes made our night even more memorable. Don’t hesitate to book with them — and definitely put down that deposit early, you won’t regret it!

Before starting my review, I want to be fair and mention that we bought our items late in the day (Sat 5:30), about 30 minutes before closing. This may have impacted the quality of our food, but if baked daily, I would think it should hold-up. My coworker’s raved about the cake here, so we finally gave it a shot and tried a variety. Cake, cupcake and cake cup. The Funfetti slice was dry, frosting was ok. Chocolate blackout was moist and just the right sweetness, (probably the only item we purchased that I would give a thumbs up) my mom enjoyed it. Cupcake was also on the dry side and lacking flavor. The cake cup had a decent coffee flavor to it, but almost no texture to the layers, (listed graham crackers) pudding like. Very unfortunate (after spending $40), I really wanted to find a good go-to dessert spot after eating out 😔.

Friendly staff and yummy cakes! I ordered the vanilla custard and it was probably one of the best cake slices i’ve had - the ratio of frosting to cake was spot on. My friends and I grabbed a picnic table outside to hang and it was lovely. They have coffee - but only drip is offered. This is truly a place for JUST a slice of cake and plenty of tables to hang with friends.
Michelle M — Google review
Really delicious cakes and slices! Each slice is about $11 but the slice is definitely good to share amongst another (and probably another). The cream cheese icing is pretty forward but cakes are flavorful and moist.

I’ve frequented Deep Sea Sugar & Salt and always had an idea that I would want to use them for a wedding cake - it turned out so so amazing and it was so fun to be able to also order some some cupcakes for the wedding party (we got so many compliments). It was really nice also being able to decide on the icing color/design! We also had questions about our cake stand size for displaying and the staff was super helpful at answering our questions - their pricing is also super reasonable, so I highly recommend if you are looking for a delicious and beautiful wedding cake!!

It was really good, and if you like cake it would be 5 stars. The place is nice and friendly staff. Also love the different flavors, got something for everyone. Just the price ($11 for one slice) and honestly the cake taste holds me back from 5 stars. The taste is good, but nothing crazy.

Nestled in the bustling Pike Place Market, Piroshky Piroshky is a charming little Russian bakery that has become a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike. This compact gem offers an impressive selection of over 20 varieties of handmade piroshki, which are essentially delightful handheld pies filled with various ingredients.
The cobblestone road just outside Pike Place Market has such a charming medieval vibe — but if you’re like me, dragging luggage around… it’s definitely a challenge 😩 Spotted a short line at Piroshky Piroshky and couldn’t resist grabbing two flavors: • Smoked Salmon Pâté Piroshky – A bit dry once it cooled down • Potato & Cheese Piroshky – Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend 🙌 Pro tip: Make sure to eat them while they’re still warm!

The line was pretty fast. I ordered the jalapeños cheese sausage, the bread was fluffy, the sausage has a snap when I bit into it. It got little kick from the jalapenos, not spicy. My friends recommended salmon pate and beef onions. The price starts around $9.

What is a piroshky? Some were flaky, doughy, rolled, stuffed, but all delicious. The line goes fast, so know what you want when it’s your turn to order. Don’t order just one. They come warmed. Had the spinach cheese and ham - chunks of ham! The beef and cheese. The apricot. The apple cinnamon. Definitely would go back and try a few more.

We ordered the chicken curry and rice pastry along with the chocolate cream hazelnut. The chicken curry pastry had incredible buttery layers and great flavor, but the rice inside made it way too heavy. We think it would have been perfect with just the curry filling. The chocolate cream hazelnut was not served warm and tasted like it had been made earlier in the day and cooled. The pastry itself was similar to a thick doughnut, and the hazelnut filling had a pudding-like texture. Tasty overall but a few things kept it from being amazing.

Food is overall good. Highly recommend the seasonal pumpkin toffee almond dessert! Also got rhubarb - i love rhubarb and honestly i was let down by the lack of rhubard taste/filling and the salmon was cute, made me happy but taste was okay.

I placed an online order in advance, but when I arrived at the store at the scheduled time, they only started preparing the order after I told the staff. That said, the food was quite good overall. I recommend the salmon and meatball flavors.

Piroshky Piroshky in Pike Place Market is a must-visit for anyone who loves freshly baked pastries with bold flavors. From the moment you approach the shop, the warm aroma of baked dough and savory fillings pulls you in. The line might be long, but it moves quickly, and the anticipation only makes the experience more exciting. I tried their famous beef and cheese piroshky, and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly golden on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and packed with a rich, flavorful filling. The smoked salmon piroshky was another highlight, offering a beautiful balance of savory and slightly creamy textures. Each bite felt comforting and indulgent, the kind of taste that lingers long after you leave. The staff was friendly and efficient, even with the constant crowd of eager customers. The bakery’s small, bustling space adds to its charm, giving a sense of authenticity and tradition. Prices are fair for the quality and size of the pastries, and it’s easy to grab a few to enjoy while walking around the Market. Overall, Piroshky Piroshky lived up to its reputation. It’s the kind of place that stays on your mind long after your visit, and I can’t wait to go back for another round of their incredible pastries!

I must have walked along the Pike place many a times but never indulged at Piroshky Piroshky. Tiny little patisserie shop, highly recommend to visit early morning to avoid the lengthy queue (especially on the weekends) Finally I did and would to love to visit again! I had the Herb cheesy bread, Raspberry swirl and Almond something. My favourite were the first two. Once you enter the shop start preparing your to-go in mind since there's no seating. Few umbrella benches placed outside along the pedestrian pathway that fill up fast.

🥗 Food: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 👉🏻 I ordered the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta and a chicken salad, and both were fantastic! The pasta was flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and the chicken salad that coming with sesame sauce was fresh, hearty, and satisfying. The portions are huge, so come hungry! And of course, the cheesecake is a total calorie bomb—but it’s worth every bite. 🍝🥗🍰 💁🏼 Service: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 👉🏻 Our waitress, Perla, was so nice and attentive. She made great recommendations and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect. Her friendliness really added to the experience. 🙌🏼 🍽️ Environment: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 👉🏻 The restaurant is lively, welcoming, and perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The vibe is fun, and despite being busy, everything felt well-organized. 🎉

With a large group the wait time on a Sunday was reasonable however when we got there it was potentially one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a cheese cake factory. The server was fine but messed up our order (they have so many Mac and cheese items I get it) so I can’t fault them. We felt bad about the miscommunication but that was short lived as we came across more and more problems. We didn’t have napkins and after like 20 mins we asked for some and got paper napkins instead of the linen ones like usual. Our bread wasn’t warm and the butter wasn’t soft either. The platting was sloppy on some dishes and other dishes were dry like they were sitting in the heat lamp too long. We got nachos and had them comped and replaced because they were stale and burnt chips but the replacement was just more stale chips. We got our Mac and cheese bites and they were burnt(lighting is dark on photos but the taste was burnt and with flash you can tell). We waited a really long time for stuffed mushrooms (yes I know they can take long but this was LONG) so we ended up cancelling the order and getting our bill. For the prices of everything and the location I was expecting more especially from this franchise because my friends and I generally haven’t been disappointed. We drove too far for this.

This was my first time at a Cheesecake Factory and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent. Our server was wonderful. The atmosphere was pleasant. Only negative thing was even though we made a reservation we still had to wait for about 25 mins to be seated. If you bring a stroller, keep in mind they make you park it up front. The cheesecake slices are the perfect size. The bread they bring you is yum 😋. Those baked macaroni cheese balls...wow! Look forward to my next visit!

Came here with friends for a snack after lunch and we were craving cheesecake so this fit the bill. We all ordered a cheesecake and my wife and I shared the Peach Perfect with Raspberry Drizzle. Why don't we have good cheesecake in Canada? Anyways the server was super friendly and was very accommodating to our request even though we just had cheesecake and drinks. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Ordered delivery and the order came exactly as requested, which was nice. The Classic Burger was decent - nothing amazing but solid. Fries were a bit disappointing though, not as crispy as I'd hoped. Overall it was your typical Cheesecake Factory experience - huge portions and reliable food. Service through delivery was smooth and everything arrived hot.

Food is always great, never any problems. I like their pasta dishes. You can't go wrong with the bread! The stuffed mushrooms are mind blowing! No wait this time, which was a plus!!

Avocado Egg Rolls are awesome! My husband had their double smash burger and said it was fantastic. The Thai Noodles were spicy and didn't have anything on the description warning of it so I couldn't eat my meal. The manager was amazing and offered to take it off our tab. She also threw in a slice of cheesecake. It wasn't necessary but was an appreciated gesture. Customer Service here is phenomenal!

Bakery
Three Girls Bakery is a historic bakery located in the Pike Place Market, Seattle. Established in 1912, it was the first bakery licensed to women in the city and has been a local favorite for over a century. The bakery offers an array of pastries, breads, soups, and sandwiches. It features a large window display showcasing their delicious baked goods.
We had passed this place a couple times in our Pike Place Market adventures, so I decided to stop by here for some small snacks. I ordered the almond delight and the spinach and feta crossaint. The prices were incredibly reasonable for baked goods, which I was pleasantly surprised by. There was one person ahead of us in line, but that went by pretty quickly. I then went up to the window and told the person what I wanted, and they got it for me, and then I paid. The almond delight was really good. The spinach and feta crossaint was good, too. I think it could have used a little more feta flavor, but overall, for how much it was, I cannot complain too much. I would definitely come back here if I were in the area and try more of what they have!

We stopped in Three Girls Bakery for a quick lunch bite across from the Pike Fish Market. Service was good, especially from the girl/lady behind the seated counter area who prepared the meatloaf sandwich. Fortunately, we asked her to split it and she plated half on 2 plates for us. See the attached picture to see how huge a half sandwich is! The meatloaf itself was a bit dry and more like a medium well hamburger patty than a moist meatloaf with seasoning inside. HOWEVER, that seasonings put on top/ below the meat slice were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend you try it, or one of the other sandwiches!!!! Atmosphere is what you expect for a walk up with a few seats at a counter, in a busy market area. YUM

Classic Bakes for a Quick Bite! Plenty of delicious options baked fresh daily. It’s to-go only, perfect for strolling through Pike Place Market or enjoying during a break while people-watching. Located just off the first right turn from the main entrance on First Avenue. Reasonably priced for the area: -Classic Palmier Cinnamon $3: A bit sweet for me, but I appreciated the flaky, buttery layers. -Raspberry Nest Coconut Cookie $4: Loved that the coconut wasn’t overly sweet, but couldn’t really taste any raspberry jam. A solid stop for classic baked goods made fresh.

We got the honey cinnamon croissant, a snicker doodle, a oatmeal chocolate chip, a pumpkin scone and a pumpkin cinnamon roll. The honey cinnamon croissant is what caught our attention, unfortunately it tasted like it was a baked apple, not bad just not what qe wanted or expected. Our favorite item was the pumpkin scone. Both cookies were tatsty just slightly small. The cinnamon roll was good but did not come with any frosting.

Went for breakfast had the breakfast sandwitch which is a croissant stuffed with egg, cheese and ham. All though expensive at $15.60 dollars with sales tax. It tasted great and filled me up. The place is also open from 7 a.m. which great as a lot of places are closed till later.

Good stuff here. Between my spouse and I we had a ham and Swiss croissant, and bacon and egg croissant, a chocolate croissant, and a blueberry and lemon muffin. All of them were good and the prices were reasonable for what we got. The cashier was friendly and moved the short line along quickly. Finding the shop was a bit of a process but that was more of an us problem haha. Worth a visit, and revisit honestly.

Their window displays with shelves of diverse pastries and breads is a glorious sight among the many wonders in Pike Place. I ordered the honey walnut rugelach and a chocolate croissant. Both had flaky, buttery layers, but that croissant was something seriously special. It was loaded with quality chocolate. I would love to visit again and try more things!

Ate breakfast here about 8:30 am on a Friday morning. I had a lox & cream cheese bagel and coffee and it was fantastic. Took about 15 minutes to prepare, but the wait was understandable. I got my food to go and ate at some of the common tables in the market.

The London Plane is a bright, wine-bar styled cafe with small plates in an airy modern space. It has a country-house aesthetic and food reflects owner Matt Dillon's passions - bold salads, lots of cultured dairy, extraordinary brown bread for spreading and plenty of vinegar counterpoints. Don't miss the bakery's outstanding slices of strawberry cake or gateau Basque.
I had a great experience at the London Plane ordering Quiche of the day, Croissant, and Green Eggs and Ham. Simply, fabulous. The brand experience of this place was amazing. Never experienced any cafe with this much transparency, food quality, and welcoming atmosphere. They truly know their customers extension of experiences. Food was amazing, croissant was crisp on the outside with enough chewy dough and not extremely buttery. Green Eggs and Ham tasted amazing with perfectly cooked scramble, potatoes and seasoned ham that harmonized with the green sauce. Bit zesty as well. There were flowers, cards, and kitchen goods in store to look around. They were all amazing! Little pricey in my opinion, but definitely eye-catching. I would love to comeback here in the future.

We had a wonderful experience at the London plane. I love the concept of the store and I have wanted to try it out for some time now. I love the interiors. The staff is very polite. Simple menu but very tasty breakfast sandwich a d boiled egg. Lovely setting and location. I wish there was espresso drinks but the drip coffee was decent. A little bit pricey but good quality ingredients. The only thing I was to excited about was the side salad for the breakfast sandwich didn't add anything to my meal.

This spot is super cool and very European feeling! It is a great spot in Pioneer Square! I had the green eggs and ham and a raspberry lime soda, which were both delicious. I gave it 4 stars because I made a reservation and somehow they couldn’t find it because they said their system doesn’t sync well with online reservations. They also were out of 2 dishes on the menu and the menu is quite small. I wanted the daily quiche and they said there were all out, but then 15 minutes later they walked out with more of it for other costumers. Overall it was a nice place for lunch and the service was good.

Wonderful decor. Yummy pastries. Delicious food. With a bit of Mediterranean flavors in the food, it’s an amazing place to discover new spins in classic brunch dishes. The decor was beautiful when you walk in and if it’s too busy, you can always grab a coffee and a kouign amman or a croissant to go

I usually don’t give negative reviews but I had a bad experience here. This dine in and take out restaurant is conveniently located downtown. We came across this while doing a Seattle tour and caught a everyone’s attention because of beautiful and trendy this place looked. My friends and I were super excited about having breakfast here. The wait time was extremely long but we were lucky enough to be seated before hand. The wait time was terrible when we ordered our coffees. There was no communication between the server and us to let us know she was short staffed. We had to get up and find her to ask about our coffee. As soon as she got our coffee our came out. The food super disgusting and bland. Everyone from the table after eating our food got sick minutes of eating. I would never come and try this place again unless it’s for a cup of coffee.

Best pastries I've had in Seattle after sampling at least 10 bakeries this month. The outdoor seating was really cute, and they have a wide selection of artisanal ingredients for sale. I went here because I read somewhere that they had great sourdough, but the woman at the cash register said they didn't make fresh bread anymore. I did spot some in the back (see picture) so not sure what's up with that
Maggie W — Google review
It was definitely delicious and I will return! Not the cheapest place but it is what it is. The breads were thick and delicious and worth the price. Some of the sides... Not so much. They didn't have London fogs on the menu (how???) but they were still able to make them for us. Decent service. I definitely want to return here just as a place to chill and read a book but I'm not sure if it really acts as a cafe as everyone else was eating full meals. There's a cute shop on the one side of it though with cool wares.

La Parisienne Bakery, Seattle's best French patisserie, offers a relaxed setting for sampling their renowned pastries, breads and sandwiches. Weekly wine dinners are also popular here.
I lived a long while in NY, and there are a few bakeries that rival what I had out there. I believe the naysayers who have negative reviews just don’t have very good taste. I think the locals have a warped sense of what good coffee really is. Also, if you’re going to dine in, expect it to be crowded because it’s a bakery that is serving lots of food to take out—this is very common for bakeries! Now— onto the food and my perspective of service! This is hands-down, some of the best coffee I’ve had in the states. I don’t know what they’re doing, but it is just exquisite. That cappuccino was perfection. I cannot tell you how many times I get cappuccinos that are so darn sweet, coffee in general everywhere is too sweet. I could taste the flavor and it was so perfectly balanced. I love all the pastries. I’ve had so far— and I get different ones almost every time I go. The balance of crunch and fluff and fruits, it is just so damn good. Those little almond crunch cookies, whatever they are called, in cappuccino is simply amazing. Service is very straightforward to the point, which honestly felt just fine to me, like I said New York. They normally have a line out the door and need to keep things moving. I personally like to dine in because these are best eaten fresh in the bakery. These types of pastries do not keep well into the evening, so enjoy them fresh! I tried to bring all traveling friends and family.
Athena C — Google review
Tried La Parisienne French Bakery and had a pretty good experience overall! We ordered both the chocolate mocha and the regular mocha—both were excellent, rich, and perfectly balanced. Their pastries were delicious too, with a beautifully crisp crust that stood out. The vibe of the place is relaxed and cool, making it a great spot to hang out for a while. They also have an extensive variety of food options for a bakery, which was impressive. We did take a tiramisu to go, but unfortunately, it had gone bad by the time we got home, which was disappointing. That aside, it was a good visit, and I’d be open to trying it again.

Feels like we’re in Paris! The lady who helped us was so very friendly and helpful. We had a great experience and enjoyed our food so very much! The granola was unique, unlike anything I’d ever had with some small pieces of meringue in it. Very delicious! The eggs were super fresh.

Truly Excellent French-Style Bakery and Coffee This is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality baked goods. The selection of bread and pastries here is superb. Having visited local bakeries in Paris last year, I can confidently say the quality and flavor profile here are nearly identical. Everything I tried was exceptionally well-made. Both the bread and the pastries are of seriously high quality. As a bonus, the coffee flavor is also very good—a balanced and flavorful pairing for the baked items. This place is highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic and high-end bakery experience.

A bit loud for me, but the food was solid, and the coffee was pretty ok. My latte was a little bitter, but if you’re not a coffee snob like I apparently am, it’s great! Their deserts looked particularly delicious! The stag was very kind as well.

I happen upon this fantastic little bakery while biking around Seattle visiting after many years. What a delightful experience. I felt like I was in Paris. A glass of sparkling wine, a small pastry and two macaron. PARFAIT! The pastries were wonderful and the service was attentive and very friendly.

Elegant ambience. The almond croissant was stunning. Mt raininer was too good - extremely tasty with right sweet, sourness and texture.
Anirudh S — Google review
This storefront bakery is quite pleasant when you first walk in. The fresh smell of a bakery first hits the senses and your mouth begins to water. I was the only person in line at the counter just looking over what I wanted to order while the girl behind the counter finished helping the person in front of me. Then just as she finished, another person walked in behind me whom I guess she knew because she welcomed him very friendly. He then told her what he wanted and she quickly got it for him without even saying anything to me. This of course took me aback because first off he knew I was before him, and second she knew I was before him. Oh well, moving on. I got my order and all the bakes looked delicious. I ordered multiple things to give it a fair chance at taste. I'll start with the creme patissiere, it was flavorless. I didn't taste it at all in the pain au raisin, which I'm sure is supposed to be there. The hazelnut pastry didn't have much hazelnut flavor. And lastly the macarons almost broke my tooth biting into one of them, they're supposed to be soft and chewy. On a good note, the almond pastry was delicious. If it weren't for the fact that this place is really overpriced then I would go back for this one thing. The plain croissant was also good, but I hope it would be for a French bakery. Anyhow, I hope your experience is better than mine.

Besalu is a beloved bakery in Ballard that offers a variety of sweet and savory pastries, including croissants, quiche, and unique items like cranberry curd tart. The bakery is known for its fresh buttery croissants and minimal seating inside, so it's best to arrive early to avoid the crowds. Besalu also provides curbside parking for those on the go.
Small, neighborhood bakery. There is usually a line outside the door, but it goes quickly. There are benches outside for waiting and for eating, and a few tables inside as well. Their croissants are some of the best in Seattle. They're buttery and flaky and have beautiful layers. We also tried the onion gruyere croissant. It was chocked full of flavor-- the onions were perfectly caramelized and the cheese was slightly crispy on top.

A tiny cute bakery. There are small round tables inside, outside has benchs, a few tables and stools. Parking may little tricky since they locates on a big road. Small celections but they keep baking so that they restock their products pretty often. We were there on Sunday around 10 am. Busy and already a line of people. We got 2 quiche, 2 pastries and a cup of chai. Cardamom pretzel was amazing. Quiches were ok. We would like to try their other pastries for next time.

Pretty cozy neighborhood bakery with a great variety of pastries and brews Herkimer coffee. There is often a short line outside the shop shortly but it moves fast, the staff is friendly and does a good job taking care of folks. I started with their butter croissants, it's flaky and tastes pretty good. I then tried some other stuff like the chocolate pistachio babka and savory croissant. Always happy with what I got. The service was friendly and prices were fair. I would come back again when I come to this neighborhood.

A little bit disappointed after reading all the rave reviews. As of now, they will only accept orders via the online system, which is fine and all. However, it takes about 25 minutes for the order to be ready after placing it online. I arrived at the store unknowingly and placed the order online; I had to wait 25 minutes before the order was ready even though there were no lines at the store and there were two other smaller orders being prepped while I was there. All I ordered was one croissant, two slices of lemon bread, and one muffin - which were all already present at the glass display. I'm not sure why it took 25 minutes with 3 employees at the front. Moreover, a lot of the pastries were sold out by 12 PM. The process was so inefficient that I saw other customers leave after seeing that they had to wait so long. Furthermore, only the croissant was decent. The other pastries I ordered were not memorable and the taste was subpar (lemon bread and blueberry/lemon muffin thing) - quite bland, to be honest. For the inconvenient wait time and inefficient ordering system, you can have better pastries elsewhere within a couple steps away.

Tall Grass Bakery is an old-fashioned bakery with a charming ambiance that specializes in handcrafted breads, rolls, and granola. I always see lines outside this place and today was my first chance actually check it out. They had a full rack of different baked bread, the variety was impressive. I went with a standard sourdough and they have a slicing machine to make life easy. I also decided to try the pecan roll because I love nuts on bread. And has to try the cinnamon because many have said it's one of the best they've had. Also picked up a chocolate brioche and pad danish for good measure. I really enjoyed the tartness of the sourdough and it's made for a really great grilled cheese sandwich. Found the cinnamon roll a bit too doughy for my tastes. You can get the cinnamon roll with or without raisins. I opted for with the raisins and glad I did. Love that it's a true bakery and you can see the back operations and know that what you're eating baked goods was just earlier in the day. I dropped in at 10:40 AM. Can't wait to try their walnut pain au levain -- one of my favorite loaves.

I go here a lot with my dog, who gets a little bite of old soft bread with a visit. But the baked goods for humans: oh my! I feel like this place encapsulates “really good bread before making bread became cool.” A wide variety of different daily loaves with each one being a hit, at a shockingly low price. And the sweet treats: yeah, this isn’t a patisserie, you’re not getting a flaky croissant here. You’re getting a really excellent cookie or scone, also at an excellent price. Crusty or squishy, airy or chewy, crumbly or lip-smacking—however the sourdough or brioche or honey oat or whatever you’re ordering, it’ll be what it’s supposed to be, which is delicious.

I’ve always liked Tall Grass Bakery for its bread and community feel, but my experience today was disappointing. I was waiting outside until they are open and they welcomed me to let in. It was very nice at that point. I was very excited to purchase their fresh bread just came out of the oven and share the bread with my families and people at my child's school event. I asked about the difference between the regular sourdough and the rye sourdough, hoping to learn a bit more before deciding. The cashier seemed confused by my question and didn’t try to clarify or explain, which already felt a bit dismissive. After I decided to buy both loaves, they tossed the bag with my bread instead of handing it to me. Their words were polite, but their attitude and actions didn’t match. It left me feeling unappreciated as a customer, especially at a small local bakery where warmth and care are part of what makes the place special. The bread is wonderful, but I hope the staff can remember that kindness and attention are just as important as good quality.

This place is legit. I’ve had some fantastic bread in Seattle but this place is by far the best. Fresh, crusty on the outside, spongy on the inside. Baked goods are stellar too. It’s our weekly go-to and we haven’t had a miss yet. And the prices are really good - $7 for a loaf (as of June 2025) compared to $10-$12 in some other places and at the farmers market.

After years of searching, finally found a bakery in Seattle that makes spelt loaf…and a damn good one! Nothing crazy, just a team of kind folks who love to bake with good ingredients. Sesame baguette was solid too.

We had the hominy bread, which was absolutely delicious, along with a poppy seed cake and a coconut & ginger scone. The scone wasn’t too sweet—just the way it should be. The poppy seed cake came with a lemon and sugar coating that added a perfect zingy kick.

Temple Pastries is a bakery that makes some of the best cruffins in Seattle. The bakery's unique ingredients and experimental style make their pastries stand out from others, and the sourdough-focused bakery has quickly earned a following in the Central District.
By far the best pastry shop in Seattle, they have the most unique things and constantly change it up. Today we had the hazelnut praline flan, which has some sort of croissant crust, and it was SO GOOD!! Never had a flan like that before! And the rhubarb custard croissant was really good, still sour and a little sweet. Want to try everything here! A bit expensive, but you don’t find stuff like this anywhere else!

The cinnamon cream cheese griffin is my absolute favorite. It’s crunchy, creamy, and messy, and so so good. Great with the pretty cortado that I had. Every pastry I have ever had here is amazing. Just looking at their case, I could eat (at least) one of each. They always have something new, seasonal, and different. The vibe here is so cool- very planty and minimalistic, but not sparse. Anyway, come here to hang out or wait in the line because trust me, it’s worth it!

Beautifully prepared and delicious food. Stopped by this morning to load up on pastries for family that was visiting, got a few tea cakes and donuts some savory treats like the gruyere and shallots croissants and tried some new things with the miso caramel cookie. Everything that we got was flavorful and well-cooked. The lobby is bright and open and I love all of the different plants. When I went the line was wrapped out the door and I was concerned it would take forever but staff had things moving quickly and smoothly without making me feel rushed. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Goodbye Macrina, Goodbye Farine, Hello Temple Pastries ❤️ I love food, I love bakeries. I've never felt like I couldn't reproduce at least a part of a menu, but this place is in its own league. We had a mushroom quiche, and the made to order sausage breakfast sandwich. Absolutely stellar. The quiche, the mushrooms, and the egginess once heated to serve was so good and it wasn't what I ordered but I forced sharing 😂. I actually went back and ordered the cheesy, egg and sausage sandwich. It was so good, my walk back to work all I kept talking about was how it was so good. The sausage breakfast sandwich was executed so well. The egg was perfectly cooked, the sausage was out of this world, and the cheesiness was American cheese that made you feel like a kid again. The bread was crispy, soft and buttery all at the same time. I didn't know that could be possible. And last. The flan cruffin? It was like a Portuguese egg tart made for Americans but with the elegance of the cruffin and some crispy caramelized bottom layer. There was no holding back on the vanilla beans in the custard. As any Viet person would say when something is perfectly executed, "it's not too sweet." Definitely excited about coming back again. And the team, sooooon sweet. I'm glad we are walking distance. There isn't enough miles to walk off all the goodness. 😂

Incredible bakery where everything—from flavors to techniques—is executed with absolute precision. The space is surprisingly large, with plenty of seating downstairs, even more upstairs, and a few outdoor tables as well. As expected, they're known for their pastries and baked goods, but they also offer an extensive menu of coffee, drinks, and a few sandwiches. I started with the breakfast sandwich and a seasonal drink whose name escapes me—it was a mix of matcha and lemonade. The sandwich was very tasty, with the highlight being the fresh-baked milk bread. The drink was interesting, but the grassy-sour combination wasn’t really for me. Naturally, I also tried a variety of baked goods. My favorites: • Parisian hazelnut flan – Like the best custard tart you’ve ever had. Absolutely phenomenal if you get it warm, first thing in the morning. • Banh mi sausage croissant – Really unique and delicious. You might be skeptical of the pickled carrots and daikon, but they blend perfectly with the buttery croissant. • Rye ham & cheddar – A rye croissant isn’t something you see often, but it’s great—more nutty and savory than a standard one. • Kouign amann – I mean, of course. The croissant layers are light and fluffy, and the caramelized syrup is rich and delicious. • Cardamom almond brioche – Simple, with perfect texture and balance of flavors. • Chocolate & cocoa nib cookie – I never thought to put cocoa nibs in a cookie, but it's a perfect way to add extra bitterness without overpowering other flavors. • Strawberry macaron – Probably the best macaron I’ve ever had. The texture is unbelievably light, and it’s bursting with flavor—unlike most macarons around here, which just taste like a bland Oreo. All the macarons are excellent, but the strawberry is my favorite.

The best croissant pastries I've ever had! I've tried many croissant-based pastries, and this is by far the best one I've had across the country. Sadly, I was only visiting, but I went back twice within five days of my visit, which should tell you something. Food: The best things to get here are: gruyere cheese croissant (a must), the mushroom quiche, and the flan. Honestly any croissant-based pastries. Patisserie isn't their strong suit but their raspberry charlotte was quite amazing. Their black sesame desserts are a hit or miss, sometimes they would have a weird herbal-y taste to it. Coffee is a no. We got an espresso latte and a match latte, both were very bland so not worth your $7. Vibe: Very cute with plenty of sitting areas for a bakery. Bathrooms are locked with codes fyi. The line starts to pick up at around 9:30am on the weekend. Do go early since they sell out most of their best pastries in the morning. We went once at 2pm and they only have a third of the pastries case left.
Ky L — Google review
Lovely little neighborhood pastry shop. Very cute inside. They have some interesting pastries and cakes. I got the miso shishito brioche donut and it was really balanced - savory, pillowy, and correct filling to dough ratio. Latte was also very good but temperature could have been a little warmer.
Lin Y — Google review
A very cute pastry shop in the neighborhood where you can drink wine and/or coffee solo or with friends. Was recommended to come here by a friend. I got the hazelnut praline flan which has a very crispy croissant shell! I can see the specks of vanilla bean inside, so if you like flan I would recommend this. The gateau basque has a short crust like shell with a vanilla custard cream inside, not too sweet and very good buttery taste. The rye pain au chocolat, I was very curious to see how the rye plays into the flavor, but it’s super flakey and tasty. Enough chocolate taste with every bite, but beware a friend told me to eat it that day otherwise the next day the croissant has a chewy texture probably because of the rye.

Rosellini's is a modern bakery that specializes in espresso drinks, French pastries and quiche. It has a welcoming staff and is known for its delicious leek and gruyere quiche.
Super good bakery! My favorites were the quiche lorraine and seasonal rhubarb danish. The quiche was one of the best, if not the best, quiches I’ve ever had. The pastry and the filling were perfect. The croissant + custard + rhubarb combo was also perfect. I also tried the kouign amann and Canele. The former was average, but I liked the Canele a lot. It had a slight citrus flavor. Highly recommend this place!

Lots of options! I enjoyed the pain au chocolat for its chocolate and flakiness, but it wasn’t buttery. More oily. Same for the brioche bread, I had to add a lot of butter to my toast to get the brioche taste. The hot chocolate was good. Don’t expect French pastries. However, overall, I did enjoy it.

Amazing Ballard bakery! Favorites were the plain butter croissant, sour cream coffee cake, and cheddar scone.

Rossellini's, please read! At some point you stop putting as much caramel in the coffee when requesting caramel fully changing the taste of your delicious coffee! Also, the ice ratio has gotten out of control. Because you guys use the giant ice cubes, I recently got an iced coffee and it was so filled to the brim with ice that I couldn’t even stir the caramel in my coffee. When I got home and strained out the ice I was left with 1/3 cup of coffee with milk. Please go back to your regular standards that were there Months ago. I miss my coffee. Overall point less ice more caramel please!!! Keep your pastries the same they’re delicious

High quality pastries and high quality service. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the offerings and the food knocks it out of the park every time. This is the only place I have brunch on Saturday. Particular standouts are the ham and cheese croissant, strawberry hibiscus soda, passion fruit gelee cheesecake and hazelnut crunch bar (I don’t even like hazelnuts and this is the best dessert I’ve ever had?) You should go here and experience the deliciousness.

TLDR; decent enough pastries, not the best IMO though, lines are long We came in on the weekend 20 mins after they opened and the line was already out through the door and moving very slowly. The barista eventually started taking drink orders from the line. It took us 20ish minutes before we were able to get in through the door - we got two mochas, the chocolate almond croissant, a blueberry scone and a spinach and feta pastry. The croissant and pastry were super crispy but felt a bit too oil for my palette unfortunately. The scone was just ok. So was the coffee. I don’t know if I’ll stand in line for their pastries but I might come back to try their desserts.

Keira literally saved the day for me. I accidentally Use the wrong directional in my GPS, So instead of heading to the bakery, I ended up over in Maple leaf someplace. It was near closing time and I raced all the way over there. They were closed for five minutes at least. She was still at the counter and I asked her is there some way I can get a birthday cake. She was so helpful found the perfect cake. It's so rare to run into a business. That's willing to go the extra mile even after closing time.

Fresh Flours South Lake Union is a beloved bakery with multiple locations across Seattle, including in Phinney Ridge and Beacon Hill. The husband-and-wife team behind the bakery, Keiji Koh and Etsuko Minematsu, are dedicated to perfecting the craft of pastries.
Fresh Flours always has good quality pastries - even when they warm up their croissants, they remain flakey instead of sinking and getting soggy. Coffee is also good and I just found out that refills are only $1 - and this is not just for drip. We literally got an iced mocha refilled for a dollar which is amazing!

Great place to get pastries! My favorite was the Matcha muffin which had a red bean inside, which was so amazing. The matcha cookie was OK as well as the Matcha latte. Their specialty coffees look pretty good! I would come back.

Loved my hazelnut latte and almond croissant —all the pastries look mouth drooling. However, that pesto mozzarella sandwich I took for my lunch.. was very sorry looking. I mean, the sandwich feels like time and effort both called in sick.. I ended up jazzing it up when I got home. I’ve had better sandwiches from a gas station at half the cost. Not sure if they’re made in house or delivered. I wasn’t looking for gourmet, but a little emphasis woulda been nice.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresh Flour Bakery has excellent vibes and outstanding customer service. The fresh brewed dark coffee is rich and smooth, and their Oat and Coconut Vegan Cookie is perfectly chewy without being overly sweet. A cozy spot with top-notch treats!

I've been a big fan of this place for the past 8 years. This morning I ordered 2 large order online (10 + 6 = total 16 pastries) to celebrate a friend's birthday. I expected that since they always put 4 or more pastries in a box. When I went to pick it up, they each came in a paper bag and the pastries were all crumpled up in a small bag. Can you believe I ordered 16 pastries and they all fit in two small bags? All Danish pastries are out of shape. So I asked for a box and put the pastries in the box myself. I tipped them because I ordered a lot but I put them in the box by myself. I'm a big fan of this place so I hope this never happens again.

Tasty almond croissant and blackberry Danish. Pretty big croissant for the price. I’ve had croissants with more almond filling before but this one was light and flaky which balanced with the lesser paste. Ordered a vanilla hazelnut latte… very smooth but was light. Great study spot, tucked in SLU. Lots of pastry’s I would go back to try if I was in the area!

Love the little coffee spots around town, and this one was fantastic. The drip was fresh and full of aroma, and the specialty drink wifey got was tasty as well. Don't skip the snacks because the ham biscuit was on point. To top it off, the server/ barista was super sweet, and the place is cute/ cozy!

I casually walked in here, not really looking for coffee or a bakery. I will say that it reminded me a lot of Starbucks. A lot of the sandwich stuff was wrapped and designed to be microwaved. French is not necessarily my favorite food because it has a tendency to be over priced, small portions, and not substantial for a meal. This place wasn’t bad though. Cute spot overall and wouldn’t be bad to go and catch up with someone visiting in a casual setting. I don’t that I would personally come back, but for what it is, I liked it. I ordered the Sausage pithivier and I thought it was really well made. The American in me wishes it had more meat, but I could taste the quality.

Ben's Bread Co. is a hidden gem that impresses first-timers with its extraordinary bread quality and delightful pastries. The long line moves quickly, making it worth the wait for their delicious English muffins, savory brioche, focaccia, sourdough, and donuts. The staff is lively and nice, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Their dedication to crafting high-quality bread and pastries leaves visitors in awe. Additionally, their Americano coffee surprises with its great taste.
I'm in love. Funny how love sometimes comes when you least expect it...I didn't know Ben's was here, decided to try it and well, now we have a relationship... The English Muffins...I am a fanatic for them and apparently they are one of their signature items. They're like the best version of an adult, savory donut: chewy, with a subtle flavor imbued by well seasoned pans and infinitely adaptable... You could combine these dense muffins with any topping. They're so good, I eat them plain. I tried the Tuna Sandwich yesterday and it was fabulous. While consisting of quality ingredients and an elevated preparation, also evokes the best tuna sandwiches you had in your lunch or at a diner. Excellent coffee and a truly kind staff...I left my debit card and they held it for me. Highly recommend.

Food: definitely on the dessert side. They do sell savory breakfast sandwiches but never been in on time to order since they close the kitchen down around 2pm. Got the olive oil cake (whipped cream and lemon curd) and the citrus danish with cream cheese. It was bright but likely too sweet for the morning/after for me. Atmosphere: open kitchen, small, cramped, limited seating but plenty of outside space. I’m sure beautiful when sunny and warm. Service: quick, direct, neutral. Would come again knowing it’s for a sweet tooth craving and seeing what’s rotating in the display case.
Cape G — Google review
Highly, highly recommend! These aren’t the typical pastries you find everywhere, but they’re also not the kind of over-the-top fusion pastries that just don’t taste good. Loved the rhubarb bread! It was at the perfect spot for sweetness and fruity tardiness. The only one we didn’t love was the kimchi cheese pastry. The combination of cilantro and cheese clashed with the kimchi, creating a strong flavor conflict. Instead of bringing out freshness or acidity, the kimchi got overpowered by the cream, which ended up coating the entire palate. We were surprised by the line on a weekend morning, but it was worth the wait. The store is small, but there’s some outdoor seating that’s perfect for warm weather.

Stumbled across Ben's Bread Co. while running some errands. The bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich was fantastic (the sourdough English muffin is perfect), and I loaded up a box of pastries too which were also great. Looking forward to coming back to sample more items (like the blue corn cookie) and the coffee!

They make pizza one day a week, and it’s definitely worth going for. The ingredients used on the pizza are top quality and delicious. The dough is flavorful and perfectly baked. It holds the generous, incredibly tasty toppings beautifully—so much so that you can eat it with one hand without the slice folding. The place is located in a covered passage. Those who arrive early get to sit down and enjoy their pizza. Right next to it, there’s an excellent wine shop that sells and serves natural wines. Both the prices and the wines themselves are great. If you’d like to enjoy your pizza with wine, you need to sit at the wine shop’s tables when ordering the pizza—only then can they serve you wine. We had a wonderful evening in this passage where high-quality places come together. Highly recommended to everyone.

When I got here, I was a little bit surprised that there was no line, as I kind of expected one. It was on a weekend, but slightly after the normal lunch hour. Since I've heard a lot of things, I decided to try a bunch of things. I got the fancy breakfast sandwich, english muffin with sourdough, cinnamon twist, and a salted caramel cookie Starting with the breakfast sandwich, it was good, but I was expecting better. The brioche buns were quite nice on the outsides - they were toasted very well and super soft. Also, the souffled egg tasted great. However, the rest of the stuff was just kind of average. The cheese was essentially nonexistent - if I didn't know the description of the item beforehand I would've assumed that it was just a sausage & egg sandwich with no cheese involved. Also, the sausage just tasted like your average breakfast sandwich sausage you can find at like McDonald's The english muffin was a bit better, but not that much so. Obviously, salted butter makes everything taste better, so that was nice. The outside was pretty crispy as well, but I did find the muffin to be quite chewy - to the point where it was annoying to eat. The jam also wasn't amazing either - I ended up not using the majority of it. The inside was really fluffy and nice though. Moving onto the desserts, my favorite of these was the salted caramel cookie, as it was well salted, had a good crunch to it, and was well-baked. The inside was not really gooey at all, but the chocolate was still nicely melted. On the contrary, the cinnamon twist was actively bad. It felt stale, cold, and eating it gave me basically no enjoyment at all The total for these 4 items came out to around 30 dollars, which is kind of a lot. I think each of these items are either slightly or a good amount overpriced, with the donut probably being the worst of these, with the english muffin being the most reasonable Overall, I see hints of the high quality I've heard about, but it's not enough to make me come back here. 7/10

we talk about the chorizo hash and fancy breakfast sandwich all.the.time!! it was one of the most memorable meals we've had in seattle, and we always tell all of our friends and family about it when they're in town or looking for a place to grab brunch! everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. we snagged a table outside and enjoyed our food and drinks. we've been back multiple times since and are always impressed with their pastry selection! our favs are the savory brioche pastries they rotate out seasonally, and we always have to grab a bag of english muffins! they freeze perfectly if we can't eat them right away, and they always taste super fresh when we do get around to them! we will always show them off and hype them up because their food, their space, and their company mission are all the things we need more of in this world <3

A Delicious Way to End the Night with an Amazing View. Dinner here was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with warm, attentive customer service that set the tone for the rest of the evening. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, made even better by a stunning view that made every bite feel like a celebration. The food? Incredible. Bold flavors, generous portions, and every dish was plated beautifully. The standout for me was the salmon pasta—rich, perfectly cooked, and so flavorful it had me wanting more with every bite. It struck that rare balance of comforting and gourmet. This place delivered on all fronts, and I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town.

Duke's was delicious. We are from out of town, and the concierge at our hotel told us this was the place to go to for seafood. The oysters were fresh, as was the halibut and salmon. The blood orange margarita was delicious, and my husband enjoyed a local beer. The service was fun and personable as well. It was definitely worth the 30-minute walk!

Worth every penny. A little pricey but this was my favorite meal I had on my trip. The steamer clams and the salad special were wonderful. Fresh seafood and the seasonings were perfect. Great service and the view is beautiful. I did a lot of research trying to find a nice lunch spot around the city and this checked all of our boxes. Highly recommend and would go out of my way to come back.

Back in Seattle for work and made a beeline to Duke’s—my second ever visit after last year’s business trip, when the crab cake was so good I promised myself I’d return. Still incredible: sweet crab, a crisp golden sear, and just enough sauce to let the seafood shine. The classics here deliver as well. The chowder is rich and craveable (I did the bread-bowl—no regrets), and the fish & chips come perfectly flaky with a light, shatter-crisp coating and great fries. Save room for the Brookie—warm, gooey, and downright addictive with ice cream. Add in friendly service and relaxing marina views, and Duke’s is an easy recommend. Consistent, delicious, and absolutely worth a repeat visit.

The food was so good! Being from the east coast the crab cakes are different but not comparable. The Dungeness uncake was super good & sweet! Clam chowder was def something you'll need to try, the lobster version is just as great. & the crab dip was delightful. Oh, the bread - perfect. The lemonade, we had about 5 of those. Thank you to our waitress you were such a great sport for the refills.

We went for dinner. Me and my family. Welcoming servers who did their jobs very thoroughly. Dinner was made and served very fast. The only complaint i could possibly have is that the layout of the dining area was very compact and harder to move around. Picture is of the dukes cheeseburger, what i had. Burger itself was a 10/10

Charcuterie
Salumi is a charming Italian deli located in the heart of Pioneer Square, Seattle. Originally founded by Armandino Batali, it has gained popularity for its artisanal cured meats crafted using traditional Italian methods. The small storefront offers delectable sandwiches and an array of cured meats available by the pound.
This is the place for Italian inspired charcuterie and sandwiches. The porchetta is absolutely decadent. There is a wide array of different styles of salami and cured meats as well. During lunch hour there is always a line. Order online to avoid it. There is plenty of seating and tables available in this Pioneer Square institution.

Salumi was recommended to me by a friend, so had to give it a try! I ordered: cubano $16 I ordered via the self order kiosk. Friend swears by the eggplant parm, so might try it in the future, but was definitely feeling more meat on this day. Smaller sandwich for the price point, but packed with flavor. It definitely takes some time for the food to come out. I think there's maybe enough spots for ~20 people or so. Street parking only.

It was my first time visiting a few weeks ago and my only regret is not coming sooner! I ordered the eggplant parm sandwich and it was absolutely phenomenal. It came out piping hot with a side of hot tomato sauce to dip the sandwich into. The crusty bread filled breaded eggplant, peppers, red sauce, and gooey melted cheese made for an amazing sandwich. $18 is typically more than I like to pay for a sandwich, but this one was worth it. Giving the service 4 stars only because you place your own order at a self service screen instead of having someone who works there take your order, but the staff was very warm and friendly.

Excellent sandwich. Stopped by while waiting for a train and craving lunch - pleasantly surprised to see it close by. I always believe you can judge a place by its most basic order - the salami and cheese blew me away! Definitely recommend stopping by.
Benji B — Google review
The sandwich hype is real. It's an unassuming little joint that stays quiet until noon rolls around and all the hungry patrons line up for a delicious sandwich on their lunch breaks. There's quite a bit of seating inside, thankfully, and there's a public restroom with the code written on the wall. You order via a kiosk now, which is efficient, if a little impersonal. I wish they had Wi-Fi, as lunch spots like this tend to be great to pop open your laptop and get some work done, but alas. I got a porchetta sandwich, a grindhouse sandwich, and a chocolate-chip cookie. The porchetta is my favorite. It's served hot on a fresh baguette, smothered with an herb aioli, some kind of vinegar, and some sweet peppers. The meat is incredibly tender and juicy, the richness of the fat balanced by the tangy vinegar and peppers. It's a juicy and delicious sandwich. The grindhouse is a cold sandwich on ciabatta with salami, turkey, cheese, shredded lettuce, and mayo. It's a solidly executed sandwich, if not the most exciting. If you're an East-Coaster missing your deli fix, this might do it for you. Finally, the supposedly famous chocolate-chip cookie is pretty disappointing. Mine only had about 5 tiny chocolate chips in it (a crime which should be punished with the full extent of the law) and the cookie itself was just bland and basic. Overall, I'd highly recommend you stop by Salumi a little before noon on your lunch break, grab a hot sandwich, and skip the dessert.
Kyle C — Google review
I had the porchetta at Salumi and I’d say it has good flavor and tenderness, but the overall experience was underwhelming. The wait time of 15 to 20 minutes felt long for a sandwich spot. The bread was tough and unheated despite the wait, and the cold garnishes made the sandwich uneven in temperature as only the meat was warm. At $17, it’s quite expensive for what you get. While the porchetta itself is tasty, these factors kept it from being worth the price.

Salumi did an amazing custom cheese board for my husband and I a few years ago on our elopement day. We rented a boat at the Electric Boat Company on SLU, and Salumi arranged for delivery to the boat location. The quality of the cheese board was amazing, and it was beautiful. It ended up being the perfect snack for our celebratory boat ride!

Italian restaurant
Il Terrazzo Carmine is a renowned Italian fine dining establishment in Seattle, known for its sophisticated ambiance and exquisite cuisine. This upscale restaurant has been a staple in the city for over 20 years, offering a menu filled with delectable Italian classics such as ravioli di capriolo and pepper-encrusted New York steak. The elegant decor, soft candlelight, and classical guitar music create an atmosphere of timeless elegance.
We graced this establishment with our presence for my dad's birthday, and he's generally fairly morose and melodramatic on his birthday so the fact that he had a great time says a lot. We arrived to a nice warm welcome, the interior is very beautiful which you can't tell at all from my extremely high quality photographs but just take my word for it. We started off with some classics, caesar salad and beets, and as someone who's had dare I say too many beet salads in their life I can attest to the fact that in the muddled sea of beet salads this one stands out as one of notably good quality. Then the mushroom with Polenta arrived and knocked everything out of the park. This is why we have restaurants people, this is why we love them, because they can do this. It was just a perfect thing. Just thinking of it now brings a tear to my eye, and when I remember the blue crab risotto I'm brought to my knees. It was a nightly special I shared with my sister and now she and I have been forever blessed by the wonder that was this risotto, probably we're fluent in all languages now and have the power to fly because this dish was some kind of magic, real top of the reef quality in sharktale terms. My dad had some seafood pasta and he was all warm and happy about it, which for a man who's obsessed with clam quality and 'al dente' the way he is, is basically a michelin level rave. We had cake at home so we passed on dessert (which was not easy. Let me tell you. They have them all on this display tray and they all were like comical levels of beautiful) but! We were gifted a birthday tiramisu which is a top ten dessert in my fathers books and you can see he's all lit up about it. I like tiramisu when it packs a real punch and this one didn't let me down. A delightful experience, we had all had a wonderful time. Head on over people, get the Polenta, get the specials, have a ball.

I recently dined at Terrazzo, and it was an experience worth sharing. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance—elegant yet welcoming, making it an excellent choice for a romantic night out. While I wasn’t there for a date, I could easily see how the dim lighting, tasteful décor, and cozy ambiance would set the mood for one. The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and well-paced. The staff made sure everything was just right without hovering, which added to the relaxed and enjoyable experience. As for the food, it was simply good—fresh ingredients, well-prepared dishes, and flavors that hit the mark without being overcomplicated. Every bite was satisfying, and it was clear that quality was a priority. Overall, Terrazzo is a great spot for anyone looking for a refined yet comfortable dining experience. Whether for a special occasion or just a nice evening out, it’s worth a visit!

I didn’t hate this place, but I didn’t love it. I was in town on a work trip from NYC and my colleague was in from LA. We got reservations the same day on a Thursday, but it was at 5:30 PM. Once we arrived we asked if we could change the reservation to sit outside since there were only 2-3 occupied tables. They accommodated us and just said the next table would be in at 7…so we were mindful of our time. We didn’t get drinks, but we did order the eggplant Parmesan to share, and I ordered a risotto which I asked them if they could make vegetarian. They were super accommodating and they made one with asparagus, peas, spinach, mushrooms. My colleague ordered the lamb. Food arrived in a timely fashion and looked delicious. The eggplant parmesean was nice and rich. The mozzarella was excellent. Flavor was on point. For my risotto, I found the flavor was underwhelming. I really appreciated the vegetarian risotto though. My colleague said the sauce on the lamb was intense and too much and threw off the balance of the dish. He said a light glaze would have been better. Then there was a long pause between taking our plates and asking if we wanted desserts. I feel bad for our server because the entire outside got packed and he was doing his best. We wanted to really be out by 7 and by the time he came around, it was close to 7. We got our check and left. The ambiance is nice both inside and outside. I don’t know if it’s because I lived with someone from northern Italy for 5 years that also owned an Italian restaurant, and made an amazing risotto, but I found the flavor overall bland. I don’t think I personally would return because the menu only had a few options for vegetarians. The other dishes did look exquisite though!

We were craving Italian food, and found this spot! I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was made of ground veal, pork, and beef with tomatoes, herbs, and red wine. It had a rich, savory, and hearty flavor! And another surprise was the dessert, the waiter brought out a full tray of desserts and introduced each one to us. We couldn't resist and ended up choosing the Tiramisu and the Crème Brûlée! Both were amazing and top-notch! *Recommended to make a reservation on OpenTable, and they provide 4-hour complimentary valet parking with validation.

Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had! Everything was super fresh and delicious, with the perfect mix of authentic Italian and Italian-American comfort. The restaurant itself was super cute, we may have been a little underdressed, but it still felt totally fine. (Next time I’d probably dress up just a bit more!) We had the pasta fagioli, grilled peach salad (the special) and the spaghetti. It was all amazing. Usually I feel like spaghetti with pesto is too pestoy for me but it was probably the best I had. All the food was fresh and clean ingredients. Patricia and Gerardo were amazing—so friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Great place to celebrate a birthday or any big milestone! Such a great atmosphere and absolutely wonderful food. We gorged ourself on bread first and then ordered plenty of appetizers to get a great sampling. I cannot recommend the insalata mista or French onion soup enough (the broth was so insanely good and there are nice chunks of beef inside!). I ordered the bolognese and honestly, probably wished I had ordered something a bit more exciting like the cannelloni or duck; which my friends ordered and WOW were they good. The dessert menu is always the best - the tiramisu and red velvet cake are to die for. If you like denser cakes, then this is a great place for dessert. They come out with a tray so you can see all the desserts which is so lovely. The atmosphere and service make you feel incredibly fancy and special. Love coming here and it will not be my last time.
:: L — Google review
The atmosphere is wonderful and so is the service. The food is very underwhelming. The complimentary bread they provide at the beginning of the meal was very dry and hard both times my group visited the restaurant. The menu had a lot of seafood and meat options and I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are vegetarian/vegan.
Cassie M — Google review
Il Terrazzo Carmine exceeded all expectations — a truly perfect night. I had dinner with my dad and brother, and we went family style to try as much as we could. The calamari was unreal — incredibly tender and flavorful. The eggplant parmesan was rich and comforting, and the Caesar salad was bright with just the right acidity. The bolognese was hands-down the best I’ve ever had, and the lobster pappardelle had a deep, luxurious flavor with huge, sweet pieces of lobster. To top it all off, the service was absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive, and made the experience even better. Couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll be back!

Serafina is a charming Italian restaurant located in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle. Established in 1991, it has become a beloved culinary destination for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant offers a comfortable and unpretentious atmosphere, featuring a seasonal outdoor patio for al fresco dining. Serafina's menu showcases traditional Italian cuisine from various regions, complemented by an extensive selection of fine wines.
Wow, it's one of the best Italian restaurants. Everything tastes so good. The server was so nice that the food came in a reasonable time for being that busy at dinner time. The prices are a little bit too high but are alright for the portion and the flavor they serve, absolutely works every dollar the you spend.
Sofia F — Google review
This restaurant is a neighborhood gem turned city staple. The service from the hosts to bartenders to waitstaff was very nice- attentive but not obtrusive. The spaces are lovely but while not cramped, they are not spacious. The patio is beautiful- filled with sunshine but also has a large retractable awning. The salads were good and there was plenty to share. The pastas were good. We had one of each kind. Two were great, one was good, and one was a little disappointing. The desserts were amazing. We did have some food restrictions and while they were very sensitive about making sure they asked the chef about allergens, there weren’t a lot of options after that.

I tried to find a great Italian place for my trip to Seattle and I was so lucky to stumble upon this place online. It was very straightforward to get a reservation on a Friday night! The service was incredible, we felt very well taken care of. I think my water got refilled 10+ times (I was a very thirsty boy). The food was very tasty, I was shocked by the focaccia bread. Everything tasted like it was carefully and purposefully put together. I definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the mood for fancy Italian!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle, specifically Eastlake! Their pasta always hits the spot, along with their bread, the flakey sea salt is to die for! I recommend getting the larger pasta size if you want leftovers for the next day! The place is very cute and cozy and is great for small parties to large parties. Date night here is a must! I will always recommend Serafina, I've had almost everything on their menu! 10/10

Consistently good Italian food. Service is always top-notch. Love their outdoor seating in the summer. A reservation is a must.

What a great spot for some delicious Italian food! The osso bucco was phenomenal, and the lasagna was absolute comfort food! They also have a full bar and can make amazing cocktails!

Hands down our favorite restaurant in Eastlake. The ambiance is perfect, service is above & beyond, and the food is incredible. Perfect for a date night, happy hour or celebrating a special occasion (or honestly just however you can justify going because it’s so good!). Would recommend making reservations and also checking out their patio in the summer.

The Confectional is a charming bakery located in Pike Place Market, Seattle, known for its delectable cheesecakes and chocolate truffles available in various innovative flavors. The storefront offers an array of cheesecake options, with raspberry and lemon being popular choices, along with seasonal flavors that are highly recommended. Customers have the option to order their treats to-go and can expect friendly service from the staff.
We tried the sampler cheesecake. The New York style was to die for!!! The chocolate was delicious and rich. White chocolate raspberry was also good. I can’t remember the 4th flavor but it wasn’t our favorite. It was around $7 and totally worth it. I also got a pumpkin one- the worker said it was his favorite. I haven’t tried it yet but am so excited to! The atmosphere was so cute

This cute little stall comes out of no where when you move around in pike place market. The cheesecakes are tasty and you can try lot of varieties as you will not be full with one. The cheesecakes are themselves very tiny and delicious but also pack great flavor. Ask for the hot chocolate shots. They are too good. The woman who served us was very friendly and helped us understand the flavors. We had samples of caramel cheesecake when we were at the location so got to taste additional flavor with the one we got.

Got 2 pack with Carmel Cheesecake and Sweet Potato Cheesecake for $13.90. Great for convenience, but flavor was okay. I didn't even finish the Cheesecakes.
A.D. B — Google review
Like the idea and the staff were nice but the new York style cheesecake had way too much lemon in it. It tasted like lemon cheesecake not plain. Texture was creamy though and the crust was good just way too much lemon for my taste buds. Little expensive for what you got but would be cute to bring as a party gift.
S H — Google review
Absolutely worth it. We love diy, we tried the peanut butter chocolate one and shared it. Unless you have a big sweet tooth I suggest sharing as they are very rich. I would come back here in a heart beat! Perfect to walk around with and enjoy a nice view! The ladies were so nice, and even gave us a sample! So friendly, and great service!

Blink and you will miss it, but trust me, you have to try this place. The mini individual cheesecakes are insanely tasty. Good luck choosing a flavor. I went with the mochaccino. It was amazing. The price is a little high, but one bite, and you’ll be glad you splurged.
Drew S — Google review
I like their sampler that allows you to try their 4 most popular flavors at once. I find their cheesecake is just ok. The chocolate one doesn’t have a very strong chocolate flavor so I was a bit disappointed.
Matilde C — Google review
Try the samplers first! If you need their best flavors, morning is the time to visit. You won't find all flavors especially the good ones in the second half of the day. One serving is good for two people since its so rich and dense. They have some good options like pack of 4, 7, 9 to buy in bulk.

Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi is a contemporary restaurant that offers a fusion of Asian-inspired wood-fired steaks and sushi, all while providing breathtaking views. Located on the 31st floor of Lincoln Square South, this elevated dining spot in Bellevue promises an unforgettable experience with its panoramic vistas of Seattle's skyline, Lake Washington, and Mount Rainier. The ambiance-filled lounge area sets the stage for indulging in cocktails, delicious wine, and small plates against the backdrop of stunning scenery.
A Great Gastronomical Experience! Dining at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. Every single dish was a culinary masterpiece—flawlessly prepared, artistically presented, and bursting with flavor. The quality of the ingredients and attention to detail made each bite unforgettable. The atmosphere was elegant yet inviting, perfect for both romantic dinners and special celebrations. Whether you’re marking a milestone or simply indulging in a memorable meal, this place sets the gold standard. Top-notch service, incredible food, and a refined ambiance—truly the best place for any special occasion.

I went to the restaurant with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. The view and food presentation were great. But the service was horrible. From the beginning, he spoke to us with a blank expression and a flat tone, didn’t even seem care to interact with us. After took our order, he never check back on us again, not even provide more water. From our observation, he checked on the tables next to us frequently and chat with those customers. I could even hear their laughter… I don’t know why we were having completely different dining experience from those customers, even though we pay the same prices. Anyway if you are looking for great environment for dining, this is a good place. But I won’t say their servers are well trained from my perspective.
Zeyi L — Google review
We came here on May 27 to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday and spent over $400. The appetizers were tasty, the drinks were amazing, dessert was good, and her scallops were cooked well. But the steak… easily the worst I’ve ever had. I normally don’t order steak at restaurants because they can be underwhelming, but this was on another level. It was so tough, chewy, and unpleasant that I could barely get through it. Honestly, I’ve had better chuck steak at home, and I was shocked something of that quality would even be served at this price point. If you come here, stick to the drinks and appetizers—do not order the steak unless you are in the mood for a jaw exercise/workout.

Ascend earns it’s reputation! Not an inexpensive restaurant, but an experience worthy of special occasions! This was our first time here. Atmosphere: We had a west facing view and the sunset over the city was fantastic. I wished I brought sunglasses in, but only for a bit before the sun went down. The views of Lake Washington and the Bellevue Square were amazing to see from so high up. Also welcome to go out to the patio, so we got a picture out there too. Service: Thomas was our head server and was friendly, knowledgeable, told us about things we didn’t even think to ask, and very attentive. He and his team were on top of it all night, food came out faster than we thought it might and our drinks (soda) were filled before they were even half gone. They made incredible recommendations too, explaining the menu and giving both their personal opinions and what is commonly ordered. Food: I expected the food to be amazing. A price tag like that for dinner wouldn’t be sustainable if it wasn’t. We both had an American Wagyu cut that was fabulous! The potatoes were good, but didn’t wow us. We also ordered mushrooms, fantastic blend of different varieties. The bread service at the beginning was unique, pork belly appetizer was so good too. For desserts, we got two and the presentation is very meticulously planned - they tasted amazing too, but this place is combining taste with presence and make for a memorable experience!

My partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday, and Ascend Prime truly delivered an unforgettable experience. This is definitely the spot to splurge for a special occasion—it felt worth every penny, and the amazing service truly makes you feel special. We made sure to grab a reservation ahead of time, and if you're a couple, you might get lucky with one of the tables right by the massive windows. The panoramic views of the city skyline and Lake Washington are absolutely breathtaking and instantly set the mood. The Cloud Nine cocktail was the perfect start—amazing! We decided to try the blend of steak and sushi. The sushi tacos were a fun, delicious surprise—a definite must-order (we didn't care much for the complimentary bread basket, but those tacos made up for it!). For my main dish, I had the Hamachi Truffle Roll. The flavor was fantastic and I'd order it again in a heartbeat, though I'll admit I wished there was a little more shaved truffle on top. My husband went for the Cap of the Ribeye Steak, and he absolutely loved it—cooked perfectly, tender, and intensely flavorful. The side of foraged mushrooms was also a great complement. To top off the night, the Halo dessert was presented beautifully, a perfect showstopper for a birthday celebration. Restaurant offers a dedicated plant based menu for vegetarian and vegan customers

Ascend opened a few years ago and I finally had a chance to try it out through a catered business dinner. Overall, as far as catered dinners go, it was very good. I mean, there is a hard limit to how good a catered menu can be, since you have to prepare a lot of food in advance to be served in a relatively short period of time, so food will sit around in a warming box or something. However Ascend did a great job and I enjoyed it all. That said, I suspect that their truly spectacular meals are off the main menu, so I'll have to try those before really knowing how this place is.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. My bf and I got seated near the window, and had an incredible waiter who walked us through the menu, gave recommendations, and really helped us make the best menu selections. Coming to visit from the east coast, I didn’t know what to expect, but I was completely blown away!! Price range is steep for sure, but this is the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion or splurge on a great date night out <3
Helly K — Google review
Absolutely recommend Ascend, what a wonderful experience. The restaurant space is beautiful, they have an open kitchen area where you see beautifully displayed meat laying on the side of butchers knives. The chef grilling up all the delicious feasts. We were sat right in front of the glass with a spectacular view of the lake and sunset. The staff all were amazing and detailed. They explained each dish and were perfectly attentive (not annoying where they ask you every two seconds) very timed. They have one of the best vegan/vegitarian menus! Something for everyone. We ordered the Octpus, Beet Salad, Spicy citrus avocado roll, Grilled vegetables, King salmon, mushroom wellington!!!! And of course dessert wish they had the Magic mushroom but there were no more so we went with the Skyfall. I will be back just for the Magic mushroom. They also have a great mocktail selection :). They have an outside section as well. But hands down best view or shall i say views of all of Seattle/Bellevue you can see everything. If you want to impress this is the place, if youre celebrating something special tbis js the place..but i must say dont just wait to celebrate something just go and enjoy living and being present is always something to celebrate. Happy indulging!

Cafe
Bakery Nouveau, a French bakery chain with multiple locations, offers a variety of delightful sandwiches, pizza, pastries, and breads. The flagship outlet in Burien is particularly enchanting, resembling something out of Willy Wonka's world. Its shelves are filled with an assortment of French breads and colorful macarons while the aroma of freshly baked morning pastries permeates the air.
I visited in the afternoon, so there weren’t many bread options left. The place was packed, and it had a well-balanced selection of both savory and sweet pastries. I got an almond croissant and a berry-filled donut. The berry cream and bread had just the right level of sweetness, and the almond croissant was incredibly soft and delicious. I was a bit worried it might be too buttery, but it wasn’t overly greasy, which I really liked. It was clear why so many people visit this bakery. They had a great variety of desserts and cakes, so I’m planning to try those next time. The staff was very friendly, and they even offered samples. The shop was clean, efficient, and despite being crowded, it was well-organized. I’d definitely visit again.

Twice baked almond croissant: good, definitely would be better if it’s heated up and flakier. Apricot brioche: not a fan, idk taste kinda weird. Like it has a bit of savoriness but then I’d expect it to be more of a sweet pastry given the apricot and cream cheese center. There’s no seating area, but there’s a small park across with benches
Athena L — Google review
Cute bakery…would love it if they had some more vegan options. The zebra loaf and strawberry-rhubarb tart were delicious. Everything else not so much…the chai did not taste good…way too many spices, and neither did the macaroons. We tried the passion fruit, vanilla, pumpkin, and chocolate. The flavor was off and the texture was soft instead of crisp.
Rhodes F — Google review
PRICEY!!! Rang up $30+ for three items ouch. The twice baked chocolate croissant was a lot stiffer & harder than a croissant of this style usually is. Personally thought it was lacking chocolate throughout. Also got pesto chicken pizza (not shown), it was fun to try but not worth ordering again. The brisket croissant was the star of the show. Super light and fluffy, especially compared to the twice baked. However, wouldn’t say the $15 price tag matches the portion size. The staff were incredibly friendly, possibly the most positive experience in the city.
Josie S — Google review
So I’ve been coming here for years and have noticed a decline in quality and service. In these times, I’d rather save $25 and make breakfast at home. Today we got the ham and cheese croissant and the junction croissant. The ham and cheese croissant was flimsy and underbaked. There were no layers like you’d expect when eating a croissant. Regarding service, I understand morning rushes are hectic and am not expecting staff to be all smiles. But two years ago, staff would put the junction sandwich in two bags because it didn’t fit in the box. Today they shoved it in the box, and the scrambled eggs fell out of the sandwich onto the bottom of box (the eggs were wet). This is on top of their uncoordinated flow of helping customers with their orders, and general vibe apathy and callousness.
Zachary G — Google review
The croissants here are consistently incredible. I usually come for the sweet pastries, but my recent obsession has been their savory sandwiches!

I've been going here for years and can't believe that I haven't written a review. Hands down, they have my favorite croissant of all time. I ate one every morning on a trip to Paris at different patisseries, and none of those were as good as Bakery Nouveau. Please never change your croissants and you'll always have a loyal customer.

I visited Bakery Nouveau in Seattle early one morning, and wow, it was already buzzing with people grabbing their pastries! The energy was infectious, and I could see why it’s so popular. I ordered the Twice Baked Almond Croissant and the Twice Baked Chocolate Croissant, and they were absolutely divine—flaky, rich, and bursting with flavor. These croissants are hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had! Bakery Nouveau is a must-visit spot in Seattle. I wish I’d had time to try more of their pastries, but I’m already looking forward to my next trip back to dive into their menu again. Don’t miss this gem!

Volunteer Park Cafe & Pantry is a charming eatery located in an old storefront, offering classic American comfort food for breakfast and lunch. Situated in the heart of Capitol Hill, it provides a cozy and welcoming atmosphere where visitors can enjoy a leisurely meal. The cafe is known for its delectable breakfast sandwiches, ethereal scones, and decadent cookies. Guests can also indulge in excellent coffee while soaking up the warm and inviting ambiance.
This lovely space was busy for a reason! Visited late morning around 10:45 for a lazy Saturday breakfast for a "dilly dally" day. The line moves fast thanks to their darling staff. It's hard to explain but the space is so feminine casual and inviting. Good seating inside and out without packing the place. Sprinkled around the room and running through the center are a smattering of crafts and goods to purchase. They have some beautifully uniquely flavor bakery items, delicious hot and cold drinks, and a few breakfast and lunch items. It's a perfect small, specialty menu. At the back of the store are fresh breads and a large cooler of varietal drinks. Such a beautiful space that feels like a part of the local community!

A nice little coffee shop/cafe in the neighborhood north of downtown Seattle. The two drinks we ordered were both tasty, and we also enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie with cherries along with the yummy carrot cake. This place has limited seating inside and unfortunately all tables were being used by people no longer eating or drinking but working on their laptops. Unfortunately this is allowed and means no seating for new paying customers.

Found this gem while completing a neighborhood stroll. Such a quaint place. In the middle of a residential area, tree lined streets. Street parking. Limited tables. Coffee, pastry’s, etc. pet and kid friendly. Lines might be long and tables go fast.

I like this cafe mostly bc it’s the closet cafe to the park. The food is Ok; not amazing but at least it’s not too heavy and the beet hummus had a nice garlicky flavor. The portions are on the small side. Seating is limited so prepare to wait for 15-30 min. for a table. They haven’t implemented a time limit on tables which they should given how popular it is on weekends during the summer. Overall, this is a decent cafe if you’re looking to grab a small healthy bite before heading to the park.

The breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious — it really lived up to its reputation. I especially loved the crispy bits of bacon mixed in; they added such a nice crunch. The egg was soft and moist, and of course, the bread was great too. For dessert, I ordered a banana muffin, a mini crumble pie, and a chocolate cake — all of them were amazing, but the chocolate cake stood out the most. It was rich and fudgy without being too heavy, and it paired perfectly with the cappuccino I ordered. The cappuccino was smooth and nutty, and my friend keeps saying we should go back again just for that chocolate cake!

We lucked out finding this place after visiting the Asian Art Museum in a charming area of the Capitol Hill section of Seattle. The cafe is small and homey with welcoming staff. Although the menu is limited (breakfast/lunch), the food is inventive, homemade and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the avocado toast with Za'star, mushroom soup and potato topped bread. This is a must come back to place for us!

I've loved this spot for a long time but I was worried when the new owners took over and the hours changed that the quality would go downhill (also they used to have this one very beautiful cashier I was half in love with but anyway) thank the gods! It's everything I remember and more. Made me very happy to know I can still rely on it. Their strawberry white chocolate cake (pictured) remains possibly my favorite cake in the entire world. Light, fluffy, perfect balance of sweet white chocolate frosting to fresh Strawberries and cream. There's nothing better. Thrilled to make this my new bday tradition. I'm gonna need this place to stay open forever. It brings me great joy

I was thrilled to discuss my daughter's wedding cake plans with Simply Desserts. As regulars from Ballard, our absolute favorite was the white chocolate strawberry, which we often ordered for birthdays and special occasions. Naturally, it was a key part of our wedding planning. We decided to order a customized 9-in for the engagement party in July. As instructed on the website and the outgoing voicemail, I promptly called to place an order for the cake. When I did not receive a response, I called again and left a voice message with my specific request and phone number, mentioning that I had already called once. That was two weeks ago, and I have still not received a reply. Since this cake is totally worth the trouble, I traveled 40 minutes to order the cake, but they decided to close for the weekend without notice on their website, and despite only being open to customers two days a week. More than frustrating. After some research, it appears that the lovely little bakery that was Simply Desserts has been acquired by armatures who lack business management skills and apparently experience in crafting exceptional cakes. They’ve reportedly ruined it with new, crappy recipes. The reviews are 100% negative with no more than 2 stars. Heartbreaking to see this happen to a once lovely little bakery, and to know we won’t be enjoying that iconic cake at the wedding. But thank goodness we dodged that bullet!

I've been a die hard To-Go customer for a few years now but after the new renovation I just had to stay and try their afternoon tea! The infusion of Filipino flavors made this high tea so special. You can tell the team here baked with their heart and puts their culture on ornate vintage tea plates with love. 1000% will be back!

When we moved to Fremont, we were delighted to have this dessert spot nearby. Back then the cakes were delicious and felt like we got more than enough in a slice. We went to pick up some slices today and only when we got home we noticed how small the slices have become. Even though we still do find the cakes delicious, it's hard to justify the cost when the prices keep going up and the sizes go down

One of my favorite spots for dessert in Seattle. They sell cake by the slice and it's rich, dense, and delicious. It's hard to pick a favorite, but the birthday cake is one of my go-tos. They're cash-only, so be ready for that. They also do whole custom cakes if you order ahead. But everything is really pricey here! Thankfully the slices are big enough to split with a friend.

wow. this place has amazing cake. I appreciate the very unique flavors this place has to offer, the ube and london fog flavors pair so well. and both cakes are perfectly moist and sweet. this place is such a great addition to the neighborhood, and i will be back to try more flavors! i recommend coming here over the brownie place up the street that serves raw cookies and bricks for brownies.

Decided to get a custom cake done for our two year old. The owners were extremely nice and had great communication leading up to us picking it up. Cake tasted amazing. I’m not a cake guy but I liked how dense it was. Not fluffy and messy like some others. We’ll be coming back next year :)

This place went above and beyond for my custom cake order! I ordered 3 different flavors on top of it being tres leches and they exceeded my expectations! I recommend this place 100%, it was so hard finding a place that did custom cake orders in sea on top of the flavors I was asking and they made it happen for me.

This Eastlake French bakery specializes in classic French pastries like eclairs, croissants, and tart tarts. As a popular lunch spot, they also serve sandwiches and coffee drinks. The bakery's almond croissants are some of the best around, with a fluffy and chewy texture and intense nutty flavor.
I visit here for buying almond croissant, but I was failed because I was late. At 1:00pm there were no almond croissant. I will visit again in the morning soon. Taste is full of butter and sugar flavor, similar to the real french bakery in France. Chocolate chou has full of custard creme inside, and it tastes milky and soft. I love this flavor, and I guess they are using good dairy product for ingredient. I bought choco chou, apple and cheese bread. Every breads are having great quality compared to the what I expected. Visit again for almknd croissant and millfeure!! Both are amazing!

This might be my new favorite Patisserie 😊🥐 I enjoyed a pumpkin chai and a ham and cheese croissant. It was the perfect snack for a quick walk across the University Bridge. I definitely plan to come back and try some of the other pastries.

Food was simple and amazing. I highly recommend the quiche and both mille feuilles. The tarts are also amazing, especially the lemon one. Since they forgot to apply the student discount, they offered me 3 cookies free of charge. Definitely will head back again!!

Simply the best French food outside of France! Delicious, affordable, and fast service! I love this place and have to stop in at least once when visiting Seattle!! 🇺🇲💙🤍❤️🇲🇫
Sarah H — Google review
We tried a couple tarts, a cream puff, and the almond and original croissants. The strawberry tart was our favorite, closely followed by the lemon tart. The croissants were not good though. They didn’t taste fresh and they were not flaky like a good croissant. They kind of reminded me of Costco croissants, so if you are into that, you might like them. I’d just expected a French bakery to make a really great croissant.

Le Fournil is a quaint, unassuming French bakery where one can stop on the way to work or campus. I've been passing this place for about a year and finally managed to go. The first time I stopped was for a quiche; while good, I expected it to be less than $9. The second time I went in, I ordered a croissant and was pleasantly surprised by the flakiness and texture of the bread. I also noticed fresh baguettes! While I was impressed with the quality of the bread, customer service left a little to be desired. Unlike their coffee, I found the staff to be unwelcoming and, dare I say, pressed. Despite the minute shortcoming of price and "meh" customer service, I enjoyed the quality of the offerings and look forward to returning.

I’m not sure if the recipes have changed, but I’ve been buying my birthday tart, pastry for friends and myself here for the past four years. This is always my favorite place in the town. Since I haven’t visited in about a year, I was excited to come back. Unfortunately, the quality this time was very disappointing: Coffee Éclair had almost no coffee flavor. Strawberry Tart: the strawberries didn’t taste fresh and were already soft; the pastry cream was overly sweet, and the tart base was also very sweet, soft, and not fresh. Blueberry Mille Feuille: the pastry cream tasted only of sugar without real flavor; I could only manage one bite with coffee before stopping. The blueberries were soft and had an “alcohol-like” taste, which usually indicates they’ve gone bad. This was very different from my past experiences here, and I left feeling quite let down.

Along with Le Panier and Nuflours Bakery, this is one of my three favorite bakeries in Seattle. I recommend getting their lunch deal, which gives you a sandwich, pastry and drink for an affordable price. You should try whatever appeals to you. Since everything we tried was amazing on both occasions we visited, I can’t recommend one thing over another. I will say though that the peach tea was unexpectedly wonderful, so if you’re in the mood to try something other than coffee, try that!

Nielsen’s Pastries is a charming old-school bakery and coffee shop located in the lower Queen Anne Uptown area of Seattle. It offers a delightful selection of pastries, including marzipan cakes, danishes, bollers with chocolate topping and custard inside, potato pastries, and tosca with almond paste and raspberry jam. The poppy seed danish is particularly noteworthy for its buttery and flaky texture with a hint of sweetness.
Such an asset to the community. The pastries are heavenly, prepared with butter and the other quality ingredients you would expect from an old world type bakery. My favorites are (pictured here) the frosnapper and the "potato"...a cream puff filled very full with a delightful cream, topped with a sleeve of marzipan and sprinkled with cocoa powder until it resembles....a potato! They aren't open to the public for late hours, you have to get in earlier in the day and they open at 8am. Sunday's they are closed!

I enjoy visiting bakeries all over the world. Nielsen’s is a bakery not to miss when in Seattle, a staple in the community since 1965. The interior may not have changed much and shows its maturity, adding to its appeal. The traditional Danish pastries are fantastic and so is the coffee. There are a few tables to sit and enjoy this cozy, family bakery. The service was excellent and friendly. I’m glad I had an opportunity to visit!

Love this place. I enjoy the unique pastries, the low key danish vibe, and their focus on “doing the right thing”. Particularly a big fan of their whole wheat pastries- I wish that were common. Their “potato” is really good. The perfect level of sweetness and creaminess to make it melt in your mouth. There’s a small kids space too.

I absolutely love Danish pastries! The potato dessert is a must-try and quite popular. The cafe is small and cozy, with a wonderful vibe. They aren't open in the evenings, so mornings are the best time to enjoy. Parking is difficult to find.

Great lower Queen Anne bakery and coffee shop specializing in Danish pastries. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The environment is cozy. The coffee and pastries are delicious. There's a kid's nook in the corner that keeps little ones occupied. Fantastic coffee shop for the entire family.

Oh my goodness!!! I drive 30 miles to have the potato and snitter! All my friends want me to drive them there after I share pastries with them! We love their pastries, the staff are amazing and the vibe of the bakery is “welcome to all!” We LOVE this place. Been going here they were in downtown Seattle but I like the Lowe Queen Anne location better! Everything is worth the calories so if they are out of Snitters…it means you got there too late and you should try something else💖 Support our local businesses!!!

Small cafe in lower queen anne uptown area. Yummy danish pastry and good selection of coffee. Huge selection of other pastries too. Nice place to chill - I came here on a weekend thankfully wasnt very crowded.. they have a few books and games for you to read/play while you're in! Definitely a good neighborhood gem and a must go if you’re looking for authentic pastries and support local business. Gluten-free restaurant
Bakery
Nuflours Bakery is a popular gluten-free and vegan bakery located in Capitol Hill. They offer an impressive variety of baked goods, including layer cakes, sandwiches, fresh bread, lemon bars, raspberry Danishes, cinnamon buns with caramel glaze, eclairs, quick breads, cookies, cupcakes and more. The bakery has been serving Seattle since 2011 and specializes in wedding cakes made with locally sourced ingredients and eco-friendly practices.
This Gluten free bakery did not disappoint. Had the hand pressed meat pie, a brownie, zucchini/cardamom muffin - everything was delectable. The woman working was kind and helpful. Atmosphere was very Seattle-esque. Got some garlic parmesan bread to take home even. So many choices!!

Very disappointing! Received a gift of a vegan raspberry chocolate gluten free cake made from this place. This is the first time I had throw it away after several bites. The square cake was mainly frosting. The cake to frosting ratio was 1:1. In some parts of the cake, there was barely any cake but all frosting. There was no raspberry flavor whatsoever. As a non baker, i had made better gluten free cake than this one! What a shame.

We were celebrating a birthday and had a family member in town who was gluten free. After getting some local recommendations, we decided to get a carrot cake from Nuflours. The customer service on the phone and in person were very helpful. Everyone loved the delicious cake and it was barely noticeable that it was gluten free. I appreciated that they wrote a Happy Birthday message on top. I would definitely come again for gluten free options.

I stopped into the Capitol Hill store last Tuesday (9/23) to order a cake for my partner’s (who has celiac disease) birthday to be picked up Saturday (9/27) an 8 inch red velvet cake. I honestly am pretty disappointed in how the cake came out. When I received it I immediately thought that it didn’t look like red velvet cake at all, and I’d see red velvet cake in the shop before that looked completely different. I asked the person working at the time of pickup and they confirmed that it was red velvet. I took the cake home and served it just a few hours later. It was hard and very dry. we felt that it had been made too long, maybe even days before and just kept in their fridge. The top layer of frosting was so dry it cracked apart as we cut it. We’ve had many, many gluten free/vegan cakes before and none of them were like this. On top of that the cake was certainly not red velvet and tasted nothing like red velvet. Of the 8 people I served the cake to, all of them agreed that it tasted nothing like red velvet. I’m upset considering this was quite an expensive cake for the size. On top of all this, the worker in the store said I “probably couldn’t get a refund because” I “ordered in store and non online” has anyone ever heard of that?? Lastly I brought up the red velvet not being that and described it to the person working and they said “yeah that’s the red velvet, it’s just how we make it” so, I guess you can’t trust that the flavor your order is what you’re going to get here, and they don’t care what you think.

Entire bakery is GF!! Very delicious and was so nice to be able to order whatever I wanted. Tasted like normal desserts. I got carrot cake, bar and donut but their are plenty more to choose from! I would for sure come back to try other menu items if im in the area again:)

Less than impressed over the last few visits… I really try to avoid writing less than positive reviews but I have had several less than great experiences so I feel like I’m not just catching them on bad day…. The products (donuts, cakes) are not great. Not bad exactly but dry… even for GF products. My biggest complaint is the state of the store and Display case. Kinda grimy. The service person seemed genuinely annoyed that I was there and did not smile or thank me for my order. I stated that it was my birthday today and inquired about a cake or cupcake. “We don’t have any.” They made no attempts to make a suggestion for alternative products. I just smiled and said “oh well! Donuts are great, too!” Then, they seemed super annoyed that someone else came in. I got a variety of things. Everything except the donuts were really subpar.. gritty and heavy. The eclair was a joke. Very chewy dense and a ton of chocolate like they were trying to cover the texture up. I had to throw it away after a few bites. Today’s experience has been similar to the other “less than warm” experiences I’ve had there before. This, the “okay” health rating sign, the only meh GF products, and the hard (for me) to get to location leads me to take my business elsewhere in the future. I hope they can correct some of these things for other folks.
Heather B — Google review
We stopped in and tried a variety of items. The Pumpkin Maple Donut, the Strawberry Donut, and Lemon Bar were not good at all. I’m not even sure how to describe it, all had a horrible flavor. We took one bite and threw away. We also tried the Banana Coconut Cupcake, favorite out of everything but wasn’t anything special. Had decent flavor but was a bit dry. The Raspberry Crumble Bar was also decent but overall was too sweet and left an acid burn? in both of our mouths. Not the best experience but also not the worse either.
Michelle C — Google review
The food is pretty good here— a bit pricey but as someone who can’t tolerate gluten it used to be worth it. I have been eating here since 2019. I love the cheese danish, the eclair & the quiche the most. Unfortunately the service here currently is bad. The last several times I’ve tried to order from here either no one comes out from the back for up to 5+ minutes, they don’t acknowledge me as a guest, or are blatantly rude. The most recent time I tried to order from here will be my last. I went in on 10/5 in the early afternoon and there was an employee behind the counter who did not acknowledge me when I entered. They were just looking at the iPad but not entering anything into it. The person who was in front of me in line had taken a seat as I was walking in so it seemed the transaction was complete. After a minute or so I politely asked “are you ready to take my order?”. They refused to take my order and said “I’m in the middle of something!”. A few minutes later a customer came out from the bathroom and the employee asked them what they wanted. The customer said “I’m not ready yet” and asked me to order first. The employee said “No. I already entered in what he (pointing to the person who sat down) wanted so you need to order first” but she wasn’t ready and needed to talk to the person she was with. After letting this go on for another couple minutes I decided to leave. It’s unfortunate because they used to have 2 really incredible staff members that seem to no longer work there, but I don’t want to spend decent money somewhere I don’t feel respected.

Breakfast restaurant
Salvadorean Bakery and Restaurant Inc. is a charming family-owned establishment in White Center, just south of West Seattle, that has been serving the community for nearly 30 years. Founded by sisters Aminta and Ana Elgin, who moved to Seattle from El Salvador, this hidden gem offers an array of traditional Salvadorean dishes and baked goods.
Salvadorean Bakery and Restaurant Inc. absolutely deserves a 5-star rating! I recently had the pleasure of trying their mango tres leches cake, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The cake was incredibly moist, with a rich, creamy texture and just the right amount of mango flavor — sweet but not overpowering. It truly melted in my mouth with every bite. The quality and balance of flavors were spot-on, showing how much care and expertise goes into their baking. Their pastries are also perfection. Each one I’ve tried has had a great taste and texture — from flaky layers to the perfect amount of sweetness. I have a bit of a sweet tooth, and this place hit every mark. What really surprised me was how much my 2-year-old nephew enjoyed the cake. He usually isn’t a fan of sweets or cakes, but he kept asking for more bites. That alone speaks volumes! The bakery is warm and inviting, with a great selection that showcases authentic Salvadoran flavors alongside classic favorites. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again to try something new each time. Whether you’re stopping in for a treat or celebrating something special, Salvadorean Bakery and Restaurant Inc. is a must-visit. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates delicious, well-made desserts!

I was so excited to try out this place for my weekend dinner. They have a variety of items ranging from cakes, pastries and coffee along with full lunch/dinner menu celebrating Salvadorean culture. They also have a small selection of grocery items too. We ordered pupusas - pollo, pork and vegetarian ones with spinach and zucchini. They ran out of purple corn flour for our vegetarian ones and had to be done with yellow corn. I was a little surprised we were not offered any refunds even though it was just 1.50$. The staff were polite but visibly overwhelmed. The take out order took around 20mins. The pupusas were okay but the amount of filling wasn’t much, although the filling was tasty. The cabbage salad had a weird bitter taste which I ended up throwing all of it. The red sauce was delicious and mildly spiced. I also got alfajores which was really bad and tasted just of oil/butter. I was left extremely disappointed with my visit.

This place is the absolute best! I came here for the first time almost 15years ago and it’s even better now. I think it’s probably one of the best bakeries in Seattle. Total hidden gem in our beautiful city. Come here and get a treat or a meal you won’t be disappointed ❤️

This place has tons of bakery items, cakes, breakfast, and lunch options. We tried the plato guanaco (Salvadorean platter) and the carne guisada. Both were delicious. The plato guanaco was a great option to try many different things because it came with a pupusa and a tamale. The carne guisada was like a pot roast with very tender meat. I’d definitely come back. The only thing I didn’t really like was the pickled cabbage that came on the side of both dishes. The service was pretty good, but definitely not fast food. The restaurant was clean but the interior was old and kind of ugly. Wouldn’t stop me from eating there though!

Worth the trip if you do not live on this side of town. I have yet to be disappointed and have sampled their food and bakery items many times. The staff is friendly and kind, and the food is always delicious and fresh. I also really appreciate they have free, fresh, and cold water right inside the front door for anyone who needs it.

My family is Salvadoran and it's hard to find truly Salvadoran shops, restaurants and bakeries and I'm happy to share that you can find all here. AND the food was authentic, with rich flavors, fresh and DELICIOUS! My mom will approve! They have a freezer full of hard to find Salvadoran treats, a refrigerator full of creams, cheeses and drinks, snacks and authentic seasonings. The baked goods were tasty, and not overly sweet, offering traditional pastries, cookies, cakes and desserts. Their pan Frances was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They had tres leches, too, which I'm not a fan of because it tends to be too sweet, messy, and soaked to fall apart but I tried my son's and surprisingly it was none of that. We ordered pupusas (de queso and queso and beans) and they were palm size with a good filling size. Their curtido and sauce was ok. I ordered the platanos fritos plate (frijoles, crema, pan francés, chorizo Salvadoran) and it was a full-size platano cut in half, the beans were creamy and and flavorful. The order was enough for me to take home. We ate and brought home a lot for later. The staff was super helpful and friendly willing to take special requests. We will definitely be returning!

Bakery / restaraunt that i can think of. Gets crowded in the front bakery, but the dining area didn't feel any more available. I waited in line slightly confused for about 10 minutes. Of course after a minute or 2 I asked a server how the ordering system worked. While I waited to order I had time to snap photos and stare in amaze at all their beautifully displayed pastries. Fast forward. The food was amazing. So was the patry I ordered. The napoleon. Lowkey too much cream, but luckily it was very light. I'd most def try their other dessert offerings. As far as I could tell my food was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. Can't wait to come back. The interior was very bright and clean. The servers were all very busy and nice. The type of place you could eat at often. Great for a simple date or even to bring a family or large party. I would not come here for a fancy date. Based on what I could tell they offer breakfast and lunch all day. Their selection was more than acceptable. Best of all, parking was simple.

I ordered Revolelta. It is bean, meat, and cheese. It is on the salty side. Salty is the main favor. My favorite pupusa is still in Portland, OR. The closest was pupusa in Burien. I ordered one of their bakery, Guayaba, it was ok. The filling tasted very artificial. Pupusa was $5 and the bake good was $1.95. There is 3% charge for all credit card transactions. You ordered at counter and they will bring food to your table if you are dinning in. The service was good.

Deli
Bagel shop
Bakery
Zylberschtein's, a deli-bakery located in Northgate, is a recent addition to Seattle's bagel scene. With the likes of LoxSmith Bagel and Westmans Bagel and Coffee also making their mark, the city now offers a range of options from modern to classic. The establishment has garnered both praise and criticism as it competes with more established venues like Bagel Oasis and Eltana.
Wow! We found this place online and wanted bagels. I had the bacon, egg and cheese jalapeno bagel. I added pickled red onion. It was fresh and delicious. The bacon was salty and the egg was fried. The sourness of the picked onion was such a great pairing. My GF had a poppy seed bagel with locks and pickled red onions. She loved hers. The employees were polite and professional. We really loved it. We can't wait to return.

Everything here is amazing - pastrami is delicious on a Ruben or Frankel breakfast sandwich. Solid tuna melt. The pickles are mind blowing and you can buy a jar to go! They have the best bagels imo - perfectly chewy with the right amount of crunch. Not too big or small. Baker’s dozen is a great deal at about $2.40/bagel. All their schmears are good, but the lox is a favorite with big chunks and great flavor. Price-wise, yes it’s more expensive than say blazing bagels, but for the quality it is well worth it. Lines can be long on the weekends so go early! Or order ahead if you can!
Sadie J — Google review
Was so looking forward to eating at a Jewish NY style deli with bagels, chopped liver but this turned out to be such a huge disappointment. The lox good and they sold Dr Browns soda but those are the only good things. The bagels were terrible and had a texture that was not authentic at all. They put way too much cream cheese on the bagel as well. Such a waste. Staff was not friendly. Would not return.

This place is amazing. I loved watching how they made the food magic work. They work so well as a team to get the orders out. Some of the customers, however, are so very rude. They see a line but believe they are too good to simply wait. They will interrupt staff with the air of self-importance that they shouldn't have to wait, which of course delays orders that are in the making. Grow up people and use what you learned in preschool about waiting your turn.
Iamar K — Google review
I stopped by there Sunday morning. There is already a line 5-6 people. They take orders a little slow. Maybe they ask which bagel toast them each order. Order online or call if you don't want to wait. A bagel was a little crisp outside, soft inside, perfect, and I had whitefish cream. It was OK, it would be better if there were bigger chunks. Very small shop, 3 tables and chairs inside, covered outside patio. Doggie cokkies for your furry companions. I would love to try their other item next time.
Eiko F — Google review
They've finally done it Seattle. Zylberschtein's has real indoor seating, not that you're going to catch an open seat outside of the midweek lunch hour, but the area exists! I should have taken a pic, but I'm an awkward duck so I didn't think about it until I was outside. Today I stopped by to pick up lunch to be pleasantly surprised with the new decor and the owner at the helm. I ordered a fairly standard toasted sesame bagel with chive cream cheese. What I liked was the copious seeds over the entire bagel and that the chive cream cheese actually has chives instead of green onion. I always always always forget to ask for less cream cheese - you'll be served a full NY style 1/3 lb schmear of cream cheese and I'm more of a schmiddle to schmidgen gal. I also got the last slice of bostock today, and it was fantastic, as usual. I also recommend the chocolate babkas that are rolled like morning buns and the black and white cookies. I rarely get a cake slice, but the handful of times I have, they have been good as well.

Shichya!! We love this place. The indoor section has returned post COVID. They still have the glorious patio. Lots of bagel and schmeer and sandwich options. Fun challah and dessert items. Bialis are available (usually on weekends). Frozen soups, special weekend dinners... Everything is made right there! My only sadness is people crowding and not let other people in/out (4*). It's a one counter order and pick-up zone. Not the fault of the shop, but more patron awareness... My favorite part is the one size only coffee. When we lived in NYC, that's how every spot was.
Amanda W — Google review
The seasonal offerings were a major disappointment. I ordered a toasted chocolate bagel with strawberry cream cheese, but what I received was a burnt bagel with a noticeable chunk missing from the bottom. Over half of the bottom of the bagel was missing, without me taking a single bite. The top half didn’t even match, as if it came from a completely different bagel. When I ordered strawberry cream cheese, I expected a blended spread—not cream cheese with strawberry jam simply placed on top. As a native East Coaster, I’ve never seen it served this way. Choosing not to mix them was a bold decision, and it didn’t pay off. The uneven spread led to an unbalanced bite, with some parts overly acidic and tart. Authentic Japanese restaurant
"Modern Japanese Cuisine & Setsuko Pastry (TAKE OUT only)" is a cozy Japanese cafe located in Phinney Ridge, offering a blend of classic eats like sushi and udon along with creatively crafted pastries. The bakery section within the restaurant showcases an array of delightful cakes and mochi, including soft strawberry roll cakes, fluffy baked cheesecakes, and creamy yuzu panna cotta.
Yes!!!!! I'll say it again for the people in the back- yyyyaaaaeeeesaassssss! So cute, so good! Yeeeaaaassss! It's that time of the year again where restaurant week reigns supreme, and this time they didn't miss! I had their restaurant week special which was a salmon box. Everything was perfect, especially the salmon belly, grilled salmon and salmon sashimi! Everything was fresh tasty and out of this world. Despite this location doubling as a bakery, they know how to make sushi and prepare wonderful pastries. The matcha cheesecake was superb with plenty of fresh matcha powder on top and mung beans on the bottom. This was easily my favorite matcha desert ever! While they don't have indoor seating, I saw two small tables outside. I'll be going back and happy freaking restaurant week!

They have a very tasty chirashi bowl with a good variety of fish. Takeout only.

I have been wanting to try this takeout place and it exceeded my expectations! 🍣 sushi here are so well prepared; fresh but they have umami flavors! It’s best to order ahead, and it was worth the extra step. This will be favorite place for pickups.

Cozy, clean atmosphere. Good food and delicious desserts! Very nice neighborhood restaurant. I like their Poke bowl, Salmon teriyaki set, some happy hour menus. Their desserts are superb. Everything is tasty without feeling sugar heavy. Highly recommend!! Family friendly, street parking only. Went back to my favorite restaurant. We had Spicy poke bowl, curry, Kimono roll and desserts. Spicy poke bowl was not spicy enough for my taste but it was good because I can taste each ingredients. It was not too saucy nor salty like other places that serve poke. Really good. Curry is also very good here. It comes with a small salad and potato salad. One of my favorite dessert is Yuzu panna cotta which has a delicate flavor with a hint of yuzu. Not too heavy.

Originally went in to get desserts but the food menu was too tempting. Slid in a minute before happy hour ended, very nice of them to give us the happy hour deals. Got an assorted sashimi salad with fresh fish and a savory dressing on it, 3pc hamachi carpaccio with some yuzu was very refreshing, and the mini salmon Don had a decent amount of fresh salmon along with warm rice. In the end treated ourselves with salmon Toro nigiri, which was phenomenally buttery and rich. Got desserts: rich creamy custard pudding with a delicious caramel sauce, and a matcha tiramisu with azuki on the bottom. Also got a strawberry mochi daifuku to go, which was devoured in an instant. Will definitely come again! Cute restaurant vibes and good staff. However definitely understaffed and service was a bit slow.

Delicious sushi specials and grilled options! Cute atmosphere, but kinda small so make sure to come during a quieter time. Next time I'll have to try the baked goods they make...

I have tried three different desserts, all very disappointing. The sushi, etc is inconsistent at best, nasty brown avocado, really? Surprised Modern is still in business.

Lovely store and employees! Got some great suggestions for bentos for the family. The food was delicious and nutritious! They also sell some goods like bags and cups which were very cute.

SUSU Dessert Bar, located in Seattle's Chinatown International District, has quickly gained a devoted following since its debut in 2020. Chef Rashed, with experience from Michelin-rated restaurants in France, brings his expertise to this walk-up window bakery. The menu features a delightful selection of high-quality French-inspired desserts with creative influences from various cultures. Visitors rave about the lychee cream pana cotta and the unique orange cupcake and strawberry cream puff.
Update - lychee cream pana cotta reminded us of the ispahan desserts we had in Paris. So exquisite and delicious! Update - the orange cupcake - wow. The strawberry cream puff - wow. Just get everything on display; you won’t be disappointed. These are literally very special pastries that you won’t find anywhere else around the world, trust me. It is such an underrated gem in Seattle. Update - the durian ice cream took my breath away. The edible flowers and sweet corn were a graceful touch. Recommend. This place is the TRUTH. Every pastry they have sold there is DELICIOUS and true edible work-of-art! I am originally from Malaysia. Chef Kai is really doing our culture justice and it sounds silly, but tears of pride were streaming down my face when I bit into the durian pâte à choux. I have tried many of their pastries in the past two weeks (lol), and the show-stealer is definitely the DURIAN PATE A CHOUX!!! Definitely get this if you don't get anything else. The taste of durian is so subtle and not overwhelming at all, especially to people who are new to the world of durian. It was a fusion of ice cream and puff pastry. The next best thing is the kouign-amann. Very crunchy and heavily caramelized. Delicious. Still good the next day! Fantastic job to the chef(s). These pastries are as good, if not better, as the ones I have tried in Paris. Get here early before opening (11 AM) because there will be a line! They sell out quickly.

I recognized this place from a bunch of Instagram posts and we stopped to try it. We ended up here at like noonish which is apparently late in the day so we couldn't have all of their offerings. We got the durian puff, the curry potato tart and whatever cookie they were offering. No complaints about any of the food but I sure would like to try their whole menu someday!
No N — Google review
I usually don't wait in line for anything, but I would happily break that rule for SUSU. It's that good. SUSU is a walk-up only shop in the International District that only opens Friday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm. If you want to have the whole menu to choose from, however, get there before 12pm otherwise you might miss out on their popular "Durian Pâte à Choux", or the seasonal cake which they offer just one with 8 (big) slices each day. That's what I like about SUSU. They don't aim to sell as much as they can but only bring out the best quality stuff. Their menu is "chef's choice" and is always featuring something new and fun. Durian Pâte à Choux, Whiskey Truffle (my two favorites and damn they are making my mouth water now!), Basque Cheesecake, and Kouign Amann are menu staples; then they have cakes, flatbreads, scones, tarts in different, elaborate flavors every week, even cookies! One week you have Coconut Orange Poppyseeds Cake, the next it's Tropical Carrot Cake. I enjoy going to SUSU not knowing what they have and surprise myself. I never failed to find something intriguing and I'm glad to have my favorites on the menu every week. SUSU's Durian Pâte à Choux is popular for a reason. Its crust is crunchy but thin, wrapping inside a generous amount of smooth, refreshing durian cream. Not too sugary nor heavy, it tastes like the sweet breeze over an Indonesian beach. When I got the Smoked Salmon Pesto Flatbread, I wasn't expecting cream cheese stuffed under the thick salmon slices and was impressed by the complex and well-balanced layers in one single pastry. When a lox bagel often goes north of $10, this flatbread for $6.5 is absolutely a bargain and by itself justifies the 15-min wait. When a place is so good that it has a perpetual line, their staff often gets cocky or arrogant, but SUSU's lady at the window is such a sweetheart, taking care of everyone with a beam of glee and ardor. She obviously enjoy bringing deliciousness and happiness to her customers than wearing her pride on her sleeve. I really appreciate that.

This is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. Everything we got was delicious. The basque cheesecake was so light and airy. It was the first time I ever tried that style of cheesecake. First time trying kouign-amann too. I never see anything like this where I live! Maybe I’m not looking in the right places.
Livi N — Google review
Followed them for years and met them at a market. So delicious and delighted they have a store front. I recommend first time visitors to check out their menu and IG. I ordered Pâte à Choux Durian, Basque Cheesecake slice, Chocolate Hazelnut tart and Salted dark chocolate chip cookie. Everything was delicious! I'd go back for their pâte à choux (try any if avaliable) and the cookie. Their cheesecake is my type, simple, creamy and a nice thick slice. I also got their Vietnamese coffee as an iced latté (very good coffee bean don't walk away without trying this). Loved anything with gold leaf garish too.

Earth shatteringly delicious. You MUST go. They make stuff I've never even heard of, and it's always so delicious, you need to sit down to gather your strength. Seriously, the Thai iced tea and yuzu macaroons are ABSURD. Those little dark things... Ugh. I can't even. The curry beef sandwich was SO tasty. I ate this stuff hours ago and thinking about it has turned a faucet on in my mouth. Not going is doing yourself a disservice. Go now, and see what you've been missing.

I didn't know anything about this bakery, until I noticed a long line of people waiting outside the front entrance. I gave it a try and this is the best decision I made today. Their whiskey truffles are godsend from heaven. It has a rich flavor, from the combination of dark chocolate and truffles, but not too oily or greasy. I will definitely come back some other time to try the rest on their menu.

Open 11a-3p Friday-Sunday. You can view the daily selection of pastries and cakes at the window and order at the door. They also have drinks and lunch specials. The durian puff pastry seems to be a popular item here. You can also bring your own Tupperware/containers if you want to help reduce waste 🙂

Bakery
Fuji Bakery-Elliott/Interbay is a branch of a bakery chain that offers a fusion of Japanese and French pastries made from carefully sourced ingredients. Customers have praised the polite and attentive customer service upon entering the bakery. The Raspberry lemon curd was particularly favored for its balanced flavors, while the Viennese butter twist and chocolate croissant were also enjoyed.
Fuji Bakery is a gem for anyone craving fresh, delicious pastries with a Japanese twist and French flavors! The bakery offers an impressive selection of perfectly baked goods, from flaky croissants to soft, pillowy buns filled with delightful fillings. The malasadas and whole cakes are standout, and their cream puffs are simply irresistible. They thrive not just in desserts but also in savory treats from focaccias to veg filled croissant. The cozy atmosphere makes it a great place to enjoy a quiet moment, and the service is always friendly and fast in-spite of queues. It’s a bit of a treat, but totally worth going again and again.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this bakery!!! Croissants are flaky, donuts and malasadas are fluffy; they have both sweet and savory options. Such a good mix and fusion of Japanese and French pastries. I discovered my love for canales at this bakery…it’s almost like a hand-held crème brûlée; with a slight crunch to the outside with gooey eggy deliciousness inside! Yummmmmm!! And love their ube malasadas here❤️

Parking was tough — only street parking, and their lot was full with employees. I wouldn’t come here alone since parking was too stressful. Pastries and cakes were good! But if you don’t like heavy cream, the cake might not be for you. I expected a lighter Japanese-style cream, but it felt more American. Canelé was amazing — super crunchy outside and soft inside. No indoor seating, but I went to the nearby Whole Foods and it was perfect to enjoy with coffee.
Sally N — Google review
Lots of tasty goodness for sale. I was lucky to take the last spot in the parking lot but there are a few street parking options right outside. The downside for me was that they didn’t have any room inside to sit and I just wish the table they did have was just available for sitting. There are a few yellow tables outside though. All the pastries look delicious and I’d love to try them all
Olga K — Google review
Creamy, fluffy, chewy, yummy, incredible! Crunchy cream malasada, egg salad sando, ham & cheese croissant, jumbo cream puff, and hojicha latte were the standout stars. Ham & cheese sando comes cold but I toasted it at home and that was great, I love the mustard. If you love pastry cream, this is your home. Will be back to try special occasion cakes and curry beef bun which was sold out!
Angela N — Google review
This bakery has just BLOWN ME AWAY!! Everything was incredible. We shared the beef doughnut with crispy coating, a ham & cheese croissant slice, a cream cheese danish pastry, and a passion fruit malasada (doughnut). The location is a little tricky to get to with the pedestrian bridges out of action due to construction work near the Elliot Bay Trail, but this place is worth the trip.
Viki — Google review
Nice to-go spot for baked goods — plenty of sweet and savoury options! Our favourites were the beef curry bun and pear danish (5/5). The ham and cheese croissant was good, but a little over baked, very little filling, and would’ve been better warm but the staff didn’t offer to heat it up (3/5). The malasadas are also good, but you have to be prepared for a lot of sugar and mess (5/5). Usually a line up, but it moves pretty quickly. Limited seating in the cafe and in the middle of an industrial area.

LOVED it. There was a small line when I went. Price was really good for Seattle IMO. I tried the strawberry malasada, but I thought it was just okay. But the star for me was the beef curry. I could eat three of them in one sitting, they are SO GOOD. Interested in trying new things next time.

Hood Famous Cafe + Bar is a vibrant and inviting counter-serve space located in the International District. It has gained local fame for its Filipino-inspired baked goods, coffee, and specialty drinks. The cafe is known for infusing Filipino flavors into their offerings, such as the signature ube cheesecake, ube latte, and ube cookies. In addition to sweet treats, they also offer savory items like bitter melon quiche.
Although we like cooking at home we always visit and support Filipino restaurants when out of town. Hood Famous delivers on taste, flavor and presentation! The chicken arroz caldo is luscious and comforting, with the toppings of crispy fried garlic and the thin chicken skin added an interesting and great contrast to the creaminess of the rice. The tapsilog and longsilog (beef tapa and longganisa patties were perfectly cooked and cooked. They were tender and flavorful. The desserts and drinks were equally delicious and provided a satisfying way to end our meal. The crew is amazing and friendly, and the chefs and cooks obviously know what they are doing and serving. The quality of the food and service is worthy of more stars than this platform can offer. The space is spotless and the vibe very upbeat without being loud. Great place to bring family and friends to! Pro tip: Visit the sauce bar they have next to the counter to make your own dipping sauce with the variety of vinegars and sauces they are offering for free. The Lakan hot sauce and banana ketchup will make your palate dance!

Perfect location for brunch on a Sunday! My colleague and I stopped here as we had heard good reviews about this Filipino cafe! It did not disappoint! I tried their Ube Ice Latte, and it was the perfect blend of sweetness and expresso! I would highly recommend this drink! For brunch, I ordered the Pork Menudo (which is a tomato based pork dish with a side of rice). It was my first time trying it, and it was decent. The tomato taste was strong, which was not something I was used to. My colleague ordered the Longsilog, which was different from the normal sausage Longsilog he was used to. Service was amazing, and they were quick. The waitress accidentally spilled a bit of my latte but cleaned it up right away. I'd recommend anyone trying out this cafe if they want to try a Filipino cafe!
Carol V — Google review
This place is awesome. I rolled in a little after opening on a Thursday and it was pretty quiet. I ordered at the kiosk, grabbed a number, and sat at a table with a convenient outlet for my laptop charger. I easily connected to their free Wi-Fi (which is apparently not available on weekends — be warned). I started with a chicken arroz caldo with crispy chicken skin and a poached egg plus a pandan Italian soda. The arroz caldo is fantastic! Warm, hearty, and texturally interesting, it's comfort in a bowl. The add-ons are non-negotiable, in my opinion. The pandan Italian soda is also tasty and unique, though a coffee lover would probably just prefer a pandan latte. I enjoyed my food and sipped on my drink for a couple hours while I got some work done. The cafe picked up a little as the morning went on but it stayed relatively quiet and pleasant. Around lunchtime, I ordered a longsilog (basically a breakfast plate with Filipino pork sausage patties). I also added a mung bean patty to give it a try. When it arrived, I topped it off with some chili crisp and went to town. Wow! Explosion of flavor. The pork sausage is unbelievably juicy and tender. It's perfect with some runny egg yolk and a bit of rice. The greens and pickled veggies add a nice crunch and kick of acidity. The mung bean patty is a little less exciting — a bit dry and without a ton of flavor. But if you're not a meat eater, it's a decent alternative! I finished my meal and then ordered an assortment of pastries to go. They have a huge variety of unique flavor combinations! Several of them are classic Filipino sweets that you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere in Seattle, so it was really cool to try them. The cheesecake is one of their specialities, so I got several varieties to try. Pro tip: you should really enjoy these cold. Once they warm up to room temperature, their flavors dull significantly. My favorites are the Vietnamese coffee and white chocolate guava, but the ube is also rich and unique. A few other standouts for me are the turon cream puff, the black sesame roll, the mango peach empanada, the bibingka corn muffin, and the beef mechado pocket. If you're a fan of less sweet desserts, you'll probably really enjoy the ube pianono cake slice, the cassava cake, and the biko. Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough. The hot dine-in foods, hot or iced drinks, savory pastries, and sweet desserts are all flawlessly prepared in their own ways.
Kyle C — Google review
Super cute Filipino coffee shop with unique drinks (iced matcha with lilikoi), ube latte. Their mini cheesecakes were delicious with fun flavors like POG and white chocolate guava. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the lilikoi matcha…the flavors just weren’t my favorite. But everything else was good. They have a cute store with various Filipino goodies like chocolate, children’s books and soap.
Rhodes F — Google review
I love this cafe! It’s very cute inside and the food, dessert and drinks were very good! The ube drink has enough sweetness and ube flavour as most I’ve had from other cafes lack ube flavour. We came back three times during our trip! I also appreciate that they had the syrups for sale which are great for those who live far away. By some chance I visit Seattle again, I would definitely come back.
Jing Z — Google review
While visiting Chinatown, we came across this wonderful Cafe that served Filipino cuisine. There was a line, but it moved along pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their food. We ordered several items so that we could sample each other's dishes as well as a few of their signature drinks. They do have a dine in area, but also noticed that you can get your food to go. Highly recommended, go check them out! Salamat!
J A — Google review
Quick stop before taking Amtrak out of town. I was impressed by the tranquil, unhurried, yet friendly, efficient service. This place has a wide variety of items with a separate food area from drinks. There is also a cultural selection of gift items, photos of the history. Seating inside was comfortable and arranged for small groups. There was far too much on the menu to sample in one trip. Please consider this for a peaceful cultural break. Delicious!

I loved the vibe of this cafe. Lakan, the sous chef is so welcoming and kind. The waitress was too, very smiling. I've tried my first Biko there and I loved it. They make ube and Pandan latte too. My two favorite flavours 😋

The Flora Bakehouse is a charming bakery located in Beacon Hill, offering a variety of vegan and gluten-free options. It is the sister restaurant to the well-established vegetarian Cafe Flora. The bakery features a cozy rooftop patio with ample seating, providing a scenic view of Mount Rainier. Customers can indulge in delectable treats such as gluten-free frosted brownies and enjoy specialty drinks like cardamom rose lattes.
A cozy cafe with a variety of pastries. I love their savory croissants so much! Their pastries are a bit pricey, but they are worth trying given how unique and delicious they are. There's often a wait during morning hours.

Really delicious vegetarian bakery with an amazing rooftop deck. This place has a fantastic atmosphere—lively but never too crowded. The rooftop gets sun all day, and there are plenty of shaded spots if you need a break from the heat. Indoors, there’s also plenty of seating. My only gripe? No Wi-Fi. I tried a ton of items here. If you're short on time, here are the absolute must-gets: • Bakehouse Breakfast Sandwich – Phenomenal. Served on house-made focaccia with a perfectly cooked egg, some greens, and peppers for a little kick. • Mushroom Parmesan Hand Pie – Excellent at room temp, even better warmed up. • Biscuit & Seasonal Jam – This biscuit is so freaking good. I wish I had 100 of them. The jam is also great. (Hot take: they should serve a breakfast sandwich on this biscuit.) • Cinnamon Roll (Vegan) – Incredible. Light frosting, chewy dough. You’d never guess it’s vegan. Also great warmed up. More great options: • Chocolate Tahini Milk Bun – Unique and delicious. The tahini adds nutty depth to the rich chocolate. • Lavender Morning Bun – Flaky croissant dough with a strong lavender punch. Excellent. • Peach & Cream Cheese Danish – Fruity, well-balanced, with a light, fluffy crust. • Three Cheese Onion Croissant – Best served warm. The onions are sweet, the cheese is rich. • Coconut Cake (Vegan) – Moist, decadent, almost like cake batter—in a good way. • Iced Strawberry Matcha – Sweet but not cloying. Probably safe to assume all their drinks are solid. Fun & gimmicky treats: • Mango Twist Soft-Serve in a Croissant Cone – Fun presentation. The mango is tasty and the croissant cone is clever, even if it’s just a croissant cut in half. • Unicorn Horn – It’s just a meringue cookie, but I like it. Not worth repeating: • Roman Pizza – A bit dry and bland. Basically focaccia with tomato sauce and cheese. Skip it and get the breakfast sandwich instead. • Assorted Cookies & Pastries – Earl Grey shortbread, citrus shortbread, citrus crinkle cookie, twice-baked almond croissant, blueberry muffin, lemon ginger scone, chocolate chip cookie, raspberry lemon tea cake, chocolate hazelnut cake, huckleberry & orange financier: All tasty, but none particularly memorable.

The pastries were excellent. The rooftop had a nice and cozy feel, but the view was just of the surrounding neighborhood which was just ok. The lighting and décor were wonderful though, creating a romantic vibe. Personally, I preferred the second floor indoor seating over the patio. Overall, I highly recommend the cafe.

--- food --- Mushroom Parmesan hand pie ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - insanely good - flakey, rich - I love mushrooms, but I'd hazard a guess and say people that don't like mushrooms would like this - the mushrooms aren't too mushroomy Tomato savory croissant ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - super juicy tomatoes - wish it had more substance on it but I just adore it, like I love the taste of the juicy tomato rather than the creamy tomoato - maybe more tomato jam or sauce? - I wouldn't order this over a hand pie tho Bakehouse breakfast sandwich ⭐⭐✨ - surprisingly just ok to me, despite reviews mentioning otherwise - it needs a sauce or something - I could tell the bread was good quality though Breakfast burrito ⭐⭐⭐ - definitely needs a hot sauce - we got it to go and didn't notice any by the lid station but we totally could have missed it --- drinks --- Lavander latte ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drip coffee ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

Visited a few times now and I firmly believe that their savory stuff > sweet stuff. Their flaky pastries are also great. I typically get their seasonal coffee drinks which are usually amazing. Recently had one that drank like it didn’t have an espresso shot in it but overall through all my times here, I’ve had a pleasant experience. The upstairs is also a real gem, especially when it’s warm out.

I love this place! Pastries and drinks are always delicious. I got the seasonal strawberry matcha today. Lost a star because there is no WiFi. Was hoping to get work done. Tough to have a cafe with no internet. Also heads up that the payment system defaults to 20% tip.

Cute neighborhood bakery with great rooftop patio! Get here early if you want the best selection but we even with less options we enjoyed everything we ate! The savory options turned out to be our favorites - LOVED the Potato Gorgonzola Roman Pizza and the mushroom hand pie. Great use of seasonal ingredients, looking forward to trying more.

I came here for the vegan cinnamon roll and wow it didn’t disappoint. Perfectly sweet and moist. Also had a oat milk matcha which was tasty as expected. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Kaffeeklatsch Seattle is a charming German-themed coffeehouse and bakery that offers an authentic taste of Germany in the heart of Seattle. I have been coming here for years and enjoy the high quality authentic German baked goods - reminiscent of offerings from my German grandmother. A very inclusive atmosphere is also important to me. Provides a delicious sanctuary of hope!

The nitro cold brew was acrid… not creamy or smooth despite all the foaminess at the top. It was super acidic and didn’t taste right. That plus two biscottis was like $16! Super overpriced especially for the quality. The white biscotti had a weird after taste, kind of like of chicken bouillon. Chocolate biscotti was better. The cafe itself has a grunge granola feel that I’m not personally into. It smells like B.O. not fresh pastries or coffee. I’m leaving this review because I live in the neighborhood and I’m disappointed that this is one of the only coffee shops here. It has 4.5 stars currently, but it doesn’t live up to many other cafes in Seattle at that rating and are way better. I’ve been very disappointed from the multiple times I’ve given this place a chance. Lake city deserved better! Disclaimer I did finish the cold brew because cause I was thirsty and needed caffeine lol.

I’ve been coming here since 2012, and I used to really love it. Unfortunately, it feels like things have dropped off a bit in recent years. For one thing, their prices have skyrocketed! A single drink, even a basic one, somehow ends up costing $12 by itself! I’m used to being able to get a basic mocha and a pastry for that much, not paying that just for the drink alone. I feel like the pastries have gone a bit downhill, too. I used to love their apple turnovers but the last several times I’ve gotten one, there seems to be less and less apple each time. Just an empty pocket of lightly fried dough with maybe two tiny apple pieces inside. There’s been a lot less variety, too. Overall, I hate to say this given it’s now our only neighborhood coffee spot, but it’s just not worth it anymore. The prices are way too high compared to the product quality, the hours seem to be all over the place, and the staff turnover seems to be way higher now too. I’m not sure what in the world happened here, but I really miss the days when Annika made a regular appearance. Felt like the quality and experience was significantly better back then.
Rekka R — Google review
Took a chance as my usual place is remodeling and I'm glad I did. The pastries and cakes were well made and fresh. The pretzels received the approval of a German citizen. The servers were friendly and engaged in light banter. The place could use a little sprucing up.
Pablo Z — Google review
I picked up some baked goods recently on my visit to Kaffeeklatsch. The pretzels were the best I’ve ever had and the mustard sauce went great with them. I am a big fan of sour dough bread and was excited to try their rye bread loaf. The bread had a great flavor to it but it was really dense. I do not have much experience with German bread but it tastes authentic. They used to have soups for lunch pre covid. I really wish they bring it back.

Located in Loyal Heights, Seattle, it is renowned for its unreal croissants that are divinely flaky and buttery. The ambiance exudes warmth and Parisian charm, with friendly staff always ready to assist customers in choosing from the myriad pastries available.
I'm generally a bit generous with 5-star reviews, but Bakery Honoré genuinely deserves it. It is a testament to the quality of their pastries that they are only open three days a week, for 7 hours a day. The pastries are immaculate, and the croissants are the best I've found in Seattle and possibly elsewhere (I say this as someone who's been to Arsicault, Craftsman & Wolves etc.). The coffee is also amazing and the matcha latte—one of my favorite drinks of all time—is the best I've had anywhere (and this drink can be VERY hit or miss depending on where you go). The atmosphere, decorations, music, and the friendliness of the staff are just as enjoyable as the food. You just have to see for yourself. (= They have a few heated savory breakfast sandwiches and some seating if you wish to enjoy your food or drink on-site. For what it's worth, I walk two miles to come here every weekend... so they must be good!

Have lived nearby and meant to go for years but due to Maps status, had assumed it was closed… It is NOT! It is open, vibrant, and delicious. Baristas are friendly, and service is quick. They have a brilliant and wide assortment of gorgeous French pastry (provided you come early, as we’ve heard they sell out!), the coffee is delicious, and the cafe ambience is lovely. Thanks so much to our new favorite local coffee shop and bakery!!

Yay! They are open again. After numerous times driving by and wanting to go in but frustrated by the "closed" sign on the door, we were pleasantly surprised to drive by today and see it open. One quick u-turn later, we were inside and dealing with the quandary of having to choose from an abundance of amazing-looking desserts. This is the kind of place every neighborhood wants. Tiny, but full of atmosphere and enticing pastry of all kinds. The staff was friendly, helpful, quick, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. They told us the Kouign-amann were fresh, and I was glad to hear it, as it's one of my favorite pastries and I've found it notoriously difficult to get a good one. These were light, sweet, and buttery without being too greasy - everything you want from the Breton classic. As good as they were however, it was hard to turn away from the many delicious-looking options in the case. I know I've got to go back to get the apricot tart, whatever that cream filled bun was, and - according to my neighbor - the cherry strudel. That's another nice thing about Honore, it's the kind of place where you see your neighbors and they tell you to get there early if you want to get the strudel before it runs out. The coffee was also not bad. They make an acceptable cortado, which is one of my cafe litmus tests. Not the best I've had, but an absolutely find complement to the pastry. As I said, it's small - one 3-person tables and 5 2-tops, but if you can snag one, it's a lovely place to hang out and chat, play a game of cards, do some journaling, listen to French music, and watch people struggle with the pastry decisions you just made. We were lucky in our timing. When we got there, the place was empty, but 5 minutes after we sat down, there was a line out the door and all the tables filled up quick and by the time we left, the cases were nearly cleared out, so I think that this is the kind of place you want to hit early if you can. I hope they stay open!

Bakery Honore feels like stepping into a cafe in the middle of Paris rather than Lake City. The ambiance is expertly curated bringing a nice warmth to every interaction. The staff are always smiling and happy to engage customers to help them pick from the myriad pastries. Pegasus coffee and espresso are available for the perfect pairing. Despite being open only Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the time of posting, the bakery sells out daily and is a true gem in the neighborhood. If only I could give 9 stars...

Tbh I don’t normally have baked goods but it was a special occasion. I had the marionberry-almond tart? Not totally sure what it was but it was a 10/10, literally one of the best sweets I’ve ever had. Amazing texture and flavor. Definitely worth stopping in!

**UPDATE: Found this sharp plastic piece in the Choc Decadence!! I was one of the customers who had always liked this bakery until this morning. When I arrived around 7:50 this morning, there was already quite a long line, and after waiting for about 45 minutes, I was able to order. As you can see in the attached photo, I ordered various pastries and desserts to celebrate Mother's Day, and I paid a significant amount of $66 at the bakery. The problem arose when I arrived home and opened the box to find a Key Lime Tart instead of the Choc Decadence I had ordered. Not only was I looking forward to trying the Choc Decadence, but they also charged more than twice the cost of the Key Lime Tart, so I tried contacting them. I called them 3 times, but they never answered, and there were no other contact methods available. After trying another 2-3 consecutive calls, I finally got through, and the woman who picked up the phone said she can exchange it for the Choc Decadence if I come back. There was NO apology for their mistake. Since I didn't want to ruin Mother's Day, I decided to drive back to the bakery. When I got there, the woman checked my Key Lime Tart in the box, pouted, took it back, and finally gave me the Choc Decadence. Again, there was no apology for the time wasted going back home and driving back again, nor any acknowledgment of their mistake. Also, they took back the wrongly handed Key Lime Tart. I'm not sure if they might resell it to another customer. There is NO respect for the customer who willingly dedicated over an hour of early Sunday morning and paid a significant amount in this business. There is NO genuine apology for their mistake in this business as well. I am deeply disappointed with their customer service and will NEVER return.

Honore is such an awesome bakery! They have lots of range for those with sweet and more savory preferences, and their bakery is nicely decorated. It would be easy to spend 5 minutes or an hour here. My favorites: the pesto Parmesan pastry, the ham Gruyère and the spinach feta pastry. They are absolutely worth the trip!
Shapeshifter123 — Google review
Came here about minutes after opening on a Sunday and was third in line, and soon there was a dedicated line. Very much enjoyed the ham gruyere croissant and the berry tart. The bread pudding was good too, loved that it wasn't too sweet and had a lovely texture but personally could have done without the added chocolate chips. Good coffee, cute cozy interior and friendly staff too :)

Nestled in the vibrant Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, Mezzanotte is a culinary gem that showcases high-end Italian cuisine with a Northwest twist. Under the expert guidance of Executive Chef Jason Stratton, this restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere characterized by its unique design and outdoor seating options. Diners can indulge in seasonal delights like tender asparagus drizzled with bagna cauda sauce or savor the rich flavors of Dungeness crab pappardelle.
Lovely food, carefully prepared. 5 course Valentines Day dinner, we had one of each offering (land & sea), very good! Splurged for the caviar supplement, excellent! Noisy restaurant! Very busy kitchen, they were maxed out, glad we came early.

What a romantic and cozy place. Small tucked away and lovely restaurant. The service was great and food was delicious. I have the special truffle pasta. First I don't like mushrooms but this was great! Husband got the bolognese and really enjoyed it. I and an awesome dirty martini, perfectly dirty. Don't miss the bathrooms, especially the disco one. So fun. Really wonderful restaurant. Reservations highly recommended, especially on the weekend.

I had the opportunity to have a 5-course tasting meal there yesterday and all met my expectations and more. I will be returning to try some of their regular offerings. My favorite from yesterday was a vegetable lasagna and my friend was speachless as I usually avoid vegetables. It takes a great chef to prepare mushrooms in a way I'd like them. This was such a place.

I ordered the Chicory Caesar Salad, Bistecca, and The Enchantress. We also ordered the flourless chocolate cake and the pesche e panna ( both were amazing) It was my first time at this place. My first impression was that it’s small and a bit dark. I wish there was more ambient light on the tables. The bathrooms were interesting and definitely something you need to experience for yourself. I did love all the textures in the decor. The salad was the best Caesar I’ve ever had. It wasn’t drenched in dressing or overpowered by anchovies, just a really nice balance. The Bistecca was amazing. The figs were a nice touch and everything about the dish was on point. The Enchantress wasn’t bad either, good for sipping. I ordered it because I was curious about the cardamom bitters. Overall, it’s a wonderful place with great service and delicious food. I’d definitely recommend it.

My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable evening at Mezzanotte, an Italian restaurant that absolutely stole our hearts! The outdoor patio was a highlight, offering breathtaking views of planes soaring low overhead as they landed and took off from the nearby airport. The food at Mezzanotte was nothing short of spectacular. Our server, Scott, made the experience truly exceptional. He was attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making our night special.

We celebrated Denise’s sixtieth birthday tonight. Rochelle was our wait person, friendly, really knowledgeable of the ingredients and just enough attentive. All 4 pasta dishes were delicious. The Special pillow like pasta stuffed with squash in sage butter was the bomb! The Bolognese was the best I’ve ever had, the tamarin was rich and simple at the same time. The pasta with shrimp is pretty spicy but a hit at the table. The steak was cooked to perfection! The bathrooms are a fun treat, you’ll need to visit to experience them. One of my favorite meals/evenings! Will definitely be back…
Cedra G — Google review
I love this neighborhood gem. The food is consistently excellent and inventive. Loved the green goddess Caesar this time. Steak was a bit over cooked and the “garden” patio is still chilly and the seats cold and hard, but service is impeccable. For a neighborhood spot in a world class city, it’s 💯worth it!
M M — Google review
My wife and I chose to celebrate our 11th anniversary at Mezzanotte. I work in Georgetown and have driven past it so many times without knowing just how good it was. We decided to do the Nonnakase experience and it was such a hit for us. The atmosphere itself is cozy, but loud. Just like an italian place should be. We honestly did not know what to expect from the food and were blown away! The gnocchi with WA state mushroom medley was probably the biggest hit for us, which is wild... because the steak that came out later was melt in your mouth good. We really enjoyed our entire experience. It was pricy, but for the first time in a few years we went out to a restaurant, paid a bunch of money and were pleased with the end result.

Lowrider Cookie Company is a small bakery with two locations in Central District and Georgetown, known for its pocket-sized, seasonal cookie specials. The company focuses on small-batch baking and community growth, sourcing local ingredients and supporting organizations like Seattle NAACP and Mary's Place. Owner Emily Allport's inspiration for the name comes from her dachshund. The rotating monthly flavors attract families to visit frequently, offering soft cookies with unique flavor combinations.
Yes, yes, one thousand times YES. I think I’ve finally found Seattle’s holy grail of cookies. These are perfect—thick, chewy, fresh. Compared to other cookie spots and bakeries, I didn’t think they were too outrageously priced, either. My boyfriend is about to move right across the street from this spot and I’m terrified for my waistline. I judge a cookie spot the most by it’s classic chocolate chip cookie, and this one was a winner. Get them all—nothing disappoints. Such a cute little store too!
Caitlin C — Google review
Staff was super friendly! I picked up half a dozen cookies for my wife’s bday, who is an absolute cookie connoisseur and I picked up a few slices of the chocolate chip cookie cake. The cookie cake has potential, but it’s WAY too sweet. So much to the point where it tastes as though you’re eating sugar cubes. I say it has potential because I think it does too much. I think simpler would be better. You can’t really eat more than maybe 1/8 of the slice at once. I don’t think the goal is to finish the slice in one sitting, but you also don’t want to feel sick if you’re a fast eater. I don’t think I’d get the cookie cake slice again. If we did, I’d scrape 3/4 of the frosting off As for the cookies, I thought these were pretty good! We didn’t try any stuffed cookies because I wasn’t a fan of the seasonal flavor options for the stuffed cookies, so we went with the original. If you hear the cookies up for about 15 seconds, they’ll melt in your mouth. All that to say, I think the cookies are way overpriced. While yes, they are good, they certainly aren’t anything special enough to justify the price or go out of your way for. I don’t think I’d come back, unless I’m conveniently in the area.
Geoffrey H — Google review
My husband and I recently a lovely box of cookies in the mail and while the cookies that were shipped looked absolutely amazing the quality was a little disappointing due to the fact that shipping had made them a bit dry. I would recommend the bakery ship cookies is air tight/vacuum sealed packaging instead of a cellophane bag folded over once and closed with a small piece of scotch tape. Just an idea from a home baker.

A cookie shop that also sells ice cream. There is no indoor or outdoor seating. They also sell some sliced cake. The closest public seating would be the central district Square area . There are also random benches on 23rd. One stuffed cookie is the size of 2-3 cookies. You can make your own cookie ice cream sandwiches here. When I went there was no line. For pride month, they had a pride flavor ice cream. The sweetness level here is on par with American dessert (think baskin robbins/ starbucks)

I got to try their strawberry shortcake, July 2025 limited edition cookie and it was so delicious. I really love a thick cookie so will definitely be back. I also liked the birthday cake and lemon cookies as well.
Festy B — Google review
So the cookies are good and the lemon crinkle is my favorite. My only problem is I asked if I could sample one and mind you I wasn't trying to get a free cookie but I was told no. If I'm about to spend $37 on a dozen cookies you would think they would have sample pieces you could try. That's a lot of money to spend when you can't try a sample.
Roger P — Google review
The best cookies in Seattle hands down. They’re gooey, crunchy on the outside, quality ingredients - basically everything you want in a cookie. My favorite are the brown butter triple chocolate chip. And the staff are always nice!
Iryna S — Google review
If these aren't the best cookies I can't remember which ones are! Lowrider makes the best. The street front shop smells about as perfect as a bakery can which is about how well the cookies taste. The chocolate chips taste like the best desert you could have asked for. Park in the neighborhood and walk over but wear stretchy pants.

If you're on the hunt for an exceptional tres leches cake, look no further than Tres Lecheria, a delightful takeout bakery nestled in Wallingford. This charming spot offers its signature cake in convenient plastic containers, making it easy to indulge on the go. The dessert is incredibly moist and rich, soaking up milk like a sponge while topped with fluffy whipped cream that feels like clouds of dairy bliss.
On December 24, 2024, I visited Tres Lecheria and had the pleasure of trying their Full Strawberry and Traditional tres leches cakes. Both were absolutely incredible! The Full Strawberry was bursting with fresh, natural strawberry flavor, perfectly balanced with creamy richness. The Traditional was equally delightful, with a classic flavor that truly melted in your mouth. Neither cake was overly sweet, which made them even more enjoyable. The shop was spotless, and the cakes were beautifully presented. For just $35, the portions were generous, and the quality was outstanding. If you’re craving a perfect tres leches cake, Tres Lecheria is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Kul R — Google review
I loved my Tres Leches traditional slice of cake. On this visit, we had a traditional and a coconut tres leches slices. Both were superb with a leches at the bottom and a nice sponge cake. Not too sweet at all like most cakes. If I had to give my Paul Hollywood critique I would say the coconut cake did not punch through and the flavor blended together. Overall an amazing addition to Wallingford.

I was in introduced to tres lecheria cake by Frelard tamales while I was at their older location. Order traditional, pistachio, horchata cakes. Tastes very very delicious. Ambience is lowkey cool. A must try if you are around. Each pop costs $9 and you really can’t beat these prices. Owner also mentioned cakes are available at PCC community markets as well.

I've tried a few flavors over the years and they've all been delicious and unique. Most recently, I tried the coconut tres leches for a friend's birthday. It was perfectly moist and sweet, balanced with a light whipped topping and toasted coconut flakes. I love that they sell individual slices as well as whole cakse.

We tried the Traditional Tres Leches and the Marionberry Tres Leches, and both were absolutely incredible! The cakes were so soft and melt in your mouth that I couldn’t get enough of them. The sweetness was perfectly balanced not too much, not too little just right. Every bite was so soothing and comforting that it was impossible to stop eating. This was by far the best tres leches I’ve ever had. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more flavors soon!

The staff was very friendly and professional! I left a message that my friend birthday would be on Monday, but I needed to pick up the cake on Saturday. The staff gave me a call and asked if I would like it frozen for maximum freshness on Monday, and instructed me on thawing it in preparation for her birthday. The cake was a massive hit! The flavor is amazing! Thank you so much.
Erika M — Google review
Walking into this cute store front we were blown back by a strong breeze from a fan and the strong smell of cleaning products. We purchased three slices to take home, everything is packaged to take with you. Once we were home we enjoyed the dulce de leche and the pumpkin chai slices immensely. However, the traditional slice must have been made or packaged while cleaning was happening because the smell of the cleaning products had permeated it and it was not only noticeable but it detracted from the flavor. Not enjoyable.
Karla O — Google review
It was okay….. I ordered the traditional tres leches flavor for a party and it is not the same as the one from Mexico. Personally, it was too sweet for me which is disappointing. I think they might have over did it with the condensed milk and sugar. The real one from Mexico has a subtle sweetness that is not that overpowering. I think the Whole Foods tres leches is probably better than this place.

Umami Kushi is a delightful gem nestled within the Metier Brewing Co. taproom in the Central District, where culinary creativity shines through its unique offerings. This Rainier Beach eatery specializes in stuffed panko-crusted dough buns that boast a crispy exterior and a soft, tender interior. The diverse fillings are sure to tantalize your taste buds, featuring options like jerk-spiced chicken with plantain and smoked salmon enveloped in a creamy potato sauce topped with furikake.
I was greeted by the owner who was very kind and explained all that they have to offer with their house made beverages buns and even a seafood option, super clean inside, I got the Beef Bulgogi and BBQ Pork, Both were very savory and soft! Each came with a little sauce and I Loved the flavor and will come back again for more!

First time here but it won't be our last! This place is fantastic! The food was so pretty I didn't want to eat it but it's sooooo delicious! The pull apart sweet roll was to die for! My friend said the Beignets were the best he'd ever had outside of Louisiana!! We happened to be running over in the area near seaward park and stopped in post run, we'll worth the detour!

I needed to grab a quick meal before leaving for the airport and found this place nearby!I loved the wide range of Afro-Caribbean and Asian flavors. I settled on the Peruvian Chicken and found it flavorful and moist. It also comes with a small container of spicy green sauce which enhances the experience. If I’m in town again, I’d love to come back and try the other breads. Such a unique intersection!

Umami Kushi will see me regularly from now on. The owner is phenomenal very funny, kind, and makes such good food! Everything is made to order—very warm n fresh! The chicken curry pan, beef curry pan, Peruvian chicken pan were all so crispy, filled so well with meet (not one of those 80% 20% meat buns). Torn between beef and Peruvian for my favs! The beignets omg. So soft, fluffy, and soft. The atmosphere is very anime inspired from the custom art, to memorabilia, to the music. Small place might not be ideal for a group over 5 to dine in but great to-go spot. We went late so they were out of a few flavors, have to try the jerk chicken once I’m back!

We found this place after a trip to Japan had us longing for Japanese train station style bakery places, with things like yakisoba sandwich! If you’re looking for something like that this is the place-One of its kind, Umami Kushi/Okazua Pan has been around for 14 years and it’s the kind of warm place where the owner/staff has a conversation with you as they recommend what you’d like to have! We went for a post swim snack but ended up getting 4 of the crispy buns with savoury fillings- My favourite was the Adobe chicken and Curry beef! The Beignets which are weekend specials are out of this world- lightly sweet, super fluffy, warm and I wish I got more! There are Japanese drinks that you can couple your purchase with, they also make bags of crisps and Barbecue sauce in-house for retail!

Batch Baking Company, located at 808 12th Ave., is a charming bakery known for its gourmet twists on classic cookies and other delectable treats. The owners, Scot and Jared, are self-taught bakers who offer small-batch creations such as sweet palmiers, salted caramels, cookies, brownies, and unique versions of nostalgic favorites like Oreos and Nutter Butters. Customers can expect to pay between $2-3 per cookie.
$2-3 per cookie. I had the fortune, peanut butter, and ginger snap cookies. All were soft and delicious—I’d definitely return to try others. The fortune cookie was my favorite, especially the fact it actually had a fortune inside 🙌 The shop itself is small and quaint. Shaded outdoor Adirondack chairs (just need to watch out for pedestrians). No frills, no menu, just cookies on display. Nearby coffee options (Starbucks, Boon Boona) so good as a combo treat as well.

We wanted to try a cookie place that we didn't have back home and this place hit the spot! The Peanut butter cookie is AWESOME. It tasted like a soft peanut butter Hershey chocolate kiss cookie but with the kiss on the inside! The sea salt on top took it to a whole different level. I also recommend the sea salted caramel chocolate chip!! It was so AMAZING too. Even just the plain chocholate chip did not disappoint.
