Radisson Bogota Metrotel

Great place to stay. Wonderful breakfast. Nice rooms with great views to the mountain. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But you need a taxi to go to the center of Bogota (Plaza Bolivar). It costs about 30 000 to 45 000 Pesos. Taxis are available.

We had a 3 day stay in Bogota but we expected slightly more from the Radisson hotel. The hotel had very good breakfast in the mornings with a wide range of food available, the standout features were the well-made eggs, fruit selections and the desert options. Despite the breakfast being quite good overall, we found that there were a few options without pork. The room itself was okay, an average amount of space available for us and the room was serviced nicely every day. The location was quite good and we felt safe at all times. There were a few of problems with our stay: 1) the cards for the lift and entry into the room did not work well at all. We had to get reception to fix it multiple times and it would keep on not working. We suspect that this may have something to do with being too close to our phones, but it is still unacceptable given that the cards for many other hotels and surrounding cities and countries work just fine without this problem. 2) The hotel was undergoing renovation. We understand that this is part of regular maintenance but there wasn’t an easy way to enter the hotel lobby without having to walk through parts of the construction site. 3) The sauna and steam rooms were not hot enough at all, it wasn’t a useable facility. The spa was also not working. We heard that the management can take on this feedback to improve the experience for guests!

Good hotel in the centre of Bogotá. Breakfast buffet is excellent with a decent variety of choices. The king suite room was very spacious and comfortable. We missed having a kettle in the room (something so small and easy to fix). The bar was a highlight(stunning view of the city and good cocktails) despite being very empty.

We stayed here for 8 nights, and this was actually our second time at this hotel. We booked a suite for this stay. Check-in was smooth and efficient. Even though the official time was 3:00 pm, we were given our suite a little earlier at 1:00 pm, which was a nice courtesy. The reception staff were professional and quick, and the lobby staff were always friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, with blackout curtains in both the bedroom and living room. The bed and bedding were cozy, and while the room wasn’t completely soundproof, noise was never an issue for us. A couple of small maintenance details could use attention—the bedside lamps and the kitchenette faucet were a bit loose. The suite came with a kitchenette, but it didn’t have plates, cutlery, or utensils. We weren’t planning on cooking, so it wasn’t a big deal, but it would be helpful if the hotel clarified whether these items are available on request. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was a highlight. There was a wide variety of food, with choices that rotated regularly, and the breakfast staff were attentive even during the busy rush. The gym was functional but starting to show its age - some equipment seemed past its best days, and a refresh would make a big difference. We noticed that not much has changed since our last visit in 2022. The location is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants, malls, and supermarkets nearby. The hotel itself is beginning to show signs of aging and could benefit from a full refurbishment, as well as more attention to detail—for example, our room was initially set up for one person even though we booked for two, though staff quickly fixed it when we pointed it out. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. What really stands out is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - they make you feel welcome. Despite a few areas that could be improved, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The staff were great. Breakfast was great. Room was big. Be sure to take bed sheet & pillow sheet. Theirs is not clean. If your room is against the street, you will be up by the noise around 4:00a.m. The mattress is made of iron cast & it is not comfortable. Someone complained there is no air condition, the weather in Bogota will be maximum 70F ( 15 -16C ), so you don't need air condition or fan. We booked premium room & don't know what did we have that a regular room didn't.
