I got a pretty much bad experience in there last night; once I did check in I went outside to looking for some food before it started to rain, I spent like 35 minutes outside then headed back to hotel but no one opened the door; I was knocking and ringing the doorbell by at least 30 minutes and NO ONE opened the door for me (One hour in total) All my stuff was inside (money, phone, laptop, luggage) EVERYTHING!!! Two of the resident whom was inside wasn’t be able to open the door for me cuz they didn’t knew if I was really a resident as them or just a thief trying to take advantage of the situation (I don’t guilt them, Bogotá is an unsafe city). Trying to looking for help I reached 2 neighbors from next block same street but they was perplexed with the awkward situation….. After 1 hour finally the receptionist arrived very relax doing jokes and tryin to be fun, I was very annoyed but never violent or rude. It was a very stressful and unkind situation. I know that probably it doesn’t happens often but happened to me. No thinking about the facts: … The hotel was nice, clean and comfy, good relation price/benefit, near to CAS (Uber was like 2usd), airport and American embassy as well , breakfast was included, a nice traditional one.

Excellent customer service, if you want something different for breakfast they’re willing to prepare it for a very small charge. Front desk personnel very polite and informative. The rooms are comfortable, need a little refurbishment, hotel has an excellent location either for a tourist visit or business. good restaurants at a walking distance. Very safe area at any time. Meets at least your basic needs for an inexpensive hotel; breakfast is served but it wasn’t anything special or great (they didn’t have this one thing on the menu available on two different days). The bedrooms are ok and we got to be in two different ones on two separate stays—but nothing comparable. The toilets clog easily and hot showers were a luxury (our first room barely had any hot water). You can hear the staff talking in the wee hours of the morning if you have a room on the main floor. Wifi could be better. They do have a public lounge type of area if you want to just chill but nothing much goes on there unless you are there to socialize. There is an open patio, no pool, but it is within walking distance to different restaurants and cafes and a grocery store. The front desk staff can be quite accommodating but the only downside was our language barrier—they spoke little to no English, so there was a lot of hand gestures, broken Spanish, and Google translate for means of communication.

We made reservations on Sunday night for an early check in; we arrived to the Casona Del Patio Hotel around 11:00 Am. The staff, warm & very friendly greeted us at the door and quickly checked us in. The Staff "Angelica, Michael & Alejandro" were superb in meeting and fulfilling all our requests. We had spent the night before at the Ambar Hotel in the historic district of La Candelria where we got robbed outside the hotel door and the staff was totally inept and spoke no English at all. The Casona Del Patio restored our faith in the Bogota hospitality and comfort as well as safety. Thank you. Staff are super friendly and sweet. They are caring and deserve every penny they earn plus so much more. I stayed here after spending almost a week in the jungle and the place helped me recover with much needed sleep. I went to Colombia for some investment endeavours and thought I would stay in and work most of the time. The hotel is really a house under construction being divided into small rooms. There was too much noise, the breakfast was not that good, the staff is nice to your face but if you know spanish well you could tell they throw indirects and giggle between each other about the guests including me.. Very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. You could hear everything, not just the construction but people's steps, talking, working-out at the first floor (I was on the 3rd), luggage being dragged by, traffic and people yelling their announcements trying to sale things on the street (and my room was at the inner-side of the property so the farest away from the street). It was the worst place I could have picked for a quiet stay to work. I inquired about the TV's technical issue not letting me connect to my Netflix, they informed me they would take care of it but never did. The bed wasn't that comfortable, way too stiff for me. I'm a slim 5.3 women and even for me the bathroom was very very small, the shower had cold or extremely hot water temperature it wasn't that well regulated. And it seems there was a limited amount of water because sometimes I had to wait as there were just a few drops of water coming out... I could go on but I think I made my point.

Don't be fooled by the entrance (small unmarked white door), this is a very clean, super comfortable little guest house. Hosts are absolutely lovely, super hospitable and welcoming - even packed us little breakfast to go bags for a 5am airport departure.

Modelia is the name of the neighborhood but the mall next to it is named after the nextdoor neighborhood, Hayuelos. The decoration reminds me of youth hotels I visited with pictures and posters of important cosmopolitan cities of the world, which makes total sense, as Bogotá is one os the biggest cities in South America, with around 9 million inhabitants. The hotel started off with 3 rooms. Now it has 11. And he just started the expansion to create 2 more floors and an elevator. The room sizes are not what you're used to in the US so you have to throw that put the window. Luz is amazing too, she does the Food and Beverage operations, as the hotel includes breakfast. Yes, it includes breakfast! And she also cleans the rooms. They have security cameras and the monitors are in the main livingroom/bar. The rooms don't have AC, which at first I was freaking out but then I asked around and apartments don't either. Bogotá is at a very high elevation. It is a cold city most of the year. Everyone is always out with a coat. Opening the windows will do it, and don't worry about mosquitoes, the type of weather up there doesn't foster them. It was such a great experience staying there and will do so again, especially after the website is done and they don't have to depend on online travel agents.

This is not a fancy hotel however it is excellent. The cleanest hotel I have stayed in in any country. The facility was comfortable and secure. Bathroom small but pristine with a nice shower. The breakfast was a nice home cooked to order meal by Claudia and not the standard food you get from precooked warming trays. Other than WIFI, fireplaced sitting room and the in room flat screen TV there are no other amenities. For a place to rest or stay for a weary traveler this was perfect. The staff was excellent in helping us arrange for transportation that would have otherwise been difficult. I would recommend to any member of my family or traveling friends. This was the best value far beyond my expectations!

I'm not vegan but this is one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time. They are very original with the recipes, not trying to replace one existing dish with a vegan version. Each plate is a statement, and the ingredients they use are so unique and well balanced. The staff was very friendly, we have a free desert they were tasting and a serenata :). The restaurant itself is beautiful, cozy, and intimate, I didn't try the cocktails but they really look great! I'm sure they are delicious. (We did not stay in the hotel)

The hotel is so quaint, and there’s gorgeous old and new design elements, big airy rooms and everything you could possibly need to be comfortable. The one thing I would say is absolutely amazing are the people who work here - they couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. This is a special little hotel and having just stayed at a Ritz-Carlton, this is the one I would rather visit again. It’s the people that make a trip special and this is a gem. Thanks to everyone at 5Q - we loved being here.
