Had a very warm welcome when we arrived. We booked a standard double Room which included breakfast.. Room was very clean, we didnt hear anything or see anybody on our floor(5th) Room was quite dark but that was its style. Bed was comfy and had no issues with the bathroom, we soon worked out how to flush the toilet!! All the staff we spoke too were freindly Breakfast had a lovely choice, nice to have hot food cooked to order and not sitting under a hot lamp with hordes of people getting in the way. Location was really good, short walk to museums and liverpool one. A bit further to Liverpool Lime Street, but the receptionist kindly offered to book us a taxi which turned up on time for our return journey. One tip get some taxi numbers from Reception. Try and avoid getting in a Black Cab we think we were ripped off big time. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Much better than the experience we had at a well known chain of hotels where we stayed 2 years ago. Would not hesitate to stay at Malmaison again. Also fantastic hotel to stay if going on a cruise ,right oppisite cruise terminal.

Staff were delightful and offered me a free upgrade which was a welcome bonus. I decided to use the restaurant too and ordered a steak with as seen some vegetables and mushroom. My word the veg was the best I have ever tasted!! Like simply the best!! Rooms were a great size and very clean with all you needed to rest. Located next to a multistory carpark which I used. Very expensive car park at £24 for the night but that seems to be the way of Liverpool docks.

Cristina and the team were on top of everything and made things so easy for us to organise, all communication was really quick and everything was just so easy. The day ran so smoothly, from serving of the welcome drinks, food and evening entertainment. The food served by the hotel was also top quality. We organised everything through the hotel including the room decoration & DJ (the DJ they organised was honestly fantastic). We really couldn’t have asked for better. We were there for one night just because we wanted to experience the spa. The spa is okay, including a sauna, steam sauna, ice room rasul, a quiet room and launge room if you want ti have a brew. We were offered a tour before and the receptionists explained everything that we needed to know. The lockers were functional and we had robes, slippers and towels inside. You can only stay for two hours but the pool is open until 9 pm and you can also find a sauna and a steam room. The jacuzzi's were not functional but the pool was nice with warm water. I gave five stars for the service as the employees were very friendly and ready to help. The restaurant was okay wit resonable prices considering the huge portions of food. What we didn't like is the level of noise as the windows are very old and you can hear the noise from the cars. We have struggled to close a window and we were surpised to see that on the hallway near the elevator a window was open as it didn't have a handle. The room was clean but you can easily notice that the hotel needs a serious upgrade as everything looks old. The location is a little bit isolated so you cannot do much. I suppose for us was okay as we went there for spa but we didn't sleep well at all. We do want to thank the staff for their service and effort though.

The rooms and reception were lovely. Reception staff very friendly. We did have some issues -the hair dryer didn't work [we reported] - we booked a twin room but we're given a double and had to move rooms 3 times, meaning I went back and forth around 4 times and we didn't get to check in whilst 3.30pm when we got there at 3. - I would say I think it was just bad luck though, the staff were shocked at the error and were incredibly kind and resolved the issues quickly. But what let it down was the food area. We were sitting for nearly 20 minutes without service, and then when it finally came the food was extremely bland and my stew was actually not heated correctly leading to issues the next day. If I were to go again, I would not recommend the food place. It brings the whole hotel down from 5* to 3/4* which is significant. The hotel staff were lovely though. But the bar and restaurant staff 100% need either more workers or more training. One was very unfriendly and told us to "seat yourself". Me and my mum had come here as I'm unwell and she doesn't get to see me often so the special moment of having a meal with my mum was kinda sullied by the dinner and evening. We usually tip too, I think its the first time we have ever not tipped.

Staff are kind and friendly. Breakfast was decent and enough choice for fry- up and continental. Good range of plant-based milk and some vegetarian options available which was a plus. Sofa bed was absolutely awful. However, the main bed was lovely, comfortable and spacious. Shower didn’t work so we changed rooms. The maintenance man was very hard-working and fixed TV and we could see he was in demand! Swimming pool and gym are decent facilities. But the cleanliness in both places is very poor. No sanitary spray or wipe down facilities in gym, sweaty equipment is just reused by multiple people. Pool changing rooms, smell mouldy and damp. Floor was dirty full of hairs and dirt. no shoe covers available so muddy footprints/ hairs everywhere. One of the Jacuzzi’s was not working and taped off, steam room was good. All in all, this hotel could be really great with significant investment and re-modernisation and better practices in cleanliness and hygiene with the leisure facilities. Some areas really let the hotel down. I must say, staff were always very lovely and helpful and efficiently dealt with issues raised to them. I’d also say especially thanks to the staff at breakfast, who i saw work so exceptionally hard to keep everything replenished and keep the breakfast running so smoothly. They’re so hardworking and wonderful and its the staff that I gave the stars to, not the hotel.

I’ll start with the positives the hotel room was nice, decent parking, breakfast was fine. Upon arrival they had no booking for us to use the spa which the staff member made known that they squeezed us in but no availability for any treatments. The spa experience was basically steam room, sauna and a pool everything else advertised closed. Changing rooms high potent urine smell and filthy. Foot spa out of order and looked like it hadn’t been used in years, jacuzzi was closed for cleaning and according to a family who had been there a couple of days advised it had been shut for 4 days. Coffee machine they promote in the relaxation room the hot chocolate was out of use and the mocha and the cups looked like they had never been washed. The ice room had no ice insight and was practically a room with air con on. Me and my partner had travelled an hour to get here and we could have got a better spa day at our local gym who provides the exact same amenities. Very poor experience and wouldn’t recommend it.

Fabulous food and great buffet breakfast with soooo many choices. Under the hotel is the huge spa and swimming pool. Service is 10/10 from when you arrive to check out. Special shout out to Matt and thank you. Might catch a football team staying. Hotel is close to the stadium and about 25 minutes walk to Albert Dock. Our room was much, much smaller than we’d anticipated and was very noisy due to being next to the road but having nothing to absorb the sound. If you stay, it is worth noting that from 7.30am the road sounds will keep you awake so it is very hard to sleep past this point. I raised this with the hotel who suggested to stay on a week night in the future as it is apparently quieter. Perhaps I was naive to expect a good nights sleep for a £400+ stay. The staff were rude and unwelcoming but the location is good. I would not recommend this hotel though as there are others nearby who seem to be up to a much better standard. Definitely do not stay if you want a good nights sleep, you’d be better off in a Premier Inn!

Walking in was beautiful, all the dedication to players everywhere was lovely even the corridors shown tributes, and then it just stops when you enter the room. AC didn't work, wallpaper hanging off in separate places, only one window would open. Quite laughable that we had to make a cup of tea putting the kettle on the floor as it was the only socket that reached the kettle. Positive was the spa bath but that's it, noisy from the road all night, door would bang and rattle loudly whenever someone else entered the corridor or room. I loved all the nod to shankly it was beautiful just wish the room was as luxury as was described when booked. Room did include an iron/ board, tea & coffee making products. Would i recommend, it is central and easy to access but I personally wouldn't stay again and that upsets me as I really wanted this to be a 4* luxury and im leaving feeling a little deflated.

Beds were very uncomfortable with no padding on mattress. Pillows were flat. Towels and bedding were thin and not soft. We had a king bed which was two twin beds pushed together. Elevators are slow and tiny. With two people and two pieces of luggage the elevator was at capacity. There was a bartender from the Belfast area on Saturday night. If you’re looking for a hotel close to the nightlife and shopping, and need a lot of Beatles pictures, this might be your place. The staff were great. The reason for three stars on service was not the staff but the food. The breakfast was terrible, give it a miss. We went for breakfast about half nine, the breakfast stops serving at ten. I would expect the same standard of food no matter what the time. While the food itself was generally fine, there were a number of unclean tables and missing cutlery. I am unsure if this was due to a lack of team members or something else, but I only noticed one young person doing their best to manage what was clearly a very busy breakfast service. The hotel also has an executive lounge accessible to guests staying in executive rooms or Hilton Honours higher tier members. It is open most of the day for hot and cold drinks, and between 6pm and 8pm there are some light bites and drinks available. Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to enjoy the evening service, but I did pop in during the day for a quick look. Overall, another nice stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean and well equipped with top quality refreshments. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've EVER slept on and the pillows were just the same, I had the best two night sleeps and so did my 4yr old! Our room was on the 6th floor so the view was great. The breakfast😋, soooo much selection more than your standard hotel there is definitely something for everyone! My 4yr old had so much options as well as his regular Weetabix with warm almond milk and honey. We were greeted by friendly, cheerful Nick for breakfast on our first morning, he was asked for the hot Almond milk which he replied 'yes, no problem at all, I'll bring it over' and he did so with a smile and then on our second morning he had remembered us and our request and asked if we would like hot Almond milk again, I said yes but today just warm please as my little one decided to have rice crispies instead and he delivered just that. Both mornings the breakfast staff were so helpful and polite, Helen was especially excellent with my little one everytime he said hello, smiled or spoke to her she took time to respond to him with a caring, patient attitude. All this made our experience at the Hilton amazing, when travelling with young children to these kind of establishments you can be made to feel a little out of place however, not at this Hilton hotel everyone we came into contact with on our stay was polite and welcoming. I thought the parking at £10 per day was steep. Just a short walk to the city centre. Hotel is smart and clean. Room was basic and small, as was the double bed. Twin beds would have been better with hindsight. Bathroom was fine, with a good shower. Stayed three nights, had evening meal the first night. Fish and chips were awful, so no more evening meals there. Breakfast was ok, but coffee was far too weak and I'd prefer real fried or poached eggs to the powdered tasteless scrambled eggs. The lifts are a bit rough… the damage in the lifts is caused by housekeeping pushing their trolleys in and out, they need a tidy up and the carpet in the lifts is gross, you need to rip up the carpet and put shiny gloss tiles on the floor of the lifts. Never been to the "Indigo" chain of hotels before. On arrival it appeared that this is IHG's budget chain. Rooms felt more like a travelodge, tired carpets in the hallway and cheaply decorated rooms. Lots of mould bits in the shower, broken flooring and previous guests hairs. Breakfast is a continental buffet and order system for hot food and coffee. The service was incredibly slow, I much prefer to serve myself food and coffee. I brought all of this up with reception staff and they just stared at my blankly. Finally, when I checked in they said there is a complementary mini bar in the room, which left me dissapointed as inside there was just water and x1 can of diet coke. I come to Liverpool regularly for work and I wouldn't stay here again. Positives for the hotel; I found the location to be good for the city centre and docks. The rooms are clean and well laid out. The wifi has a good signal and is included with the room. Loved the walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead. The AC worked well, especially during July's hot spell. There is a restaurant on-site offering all meals, even afternoon tea. The first time I stayed (July 2025) a friend and I got breakfast included. Excellent variety of hot and cold foods, as well as pastries and breads. The second time I stayed three of us were celebrating 70th birthdays. Well done to the staff for making it a special occasion! The most recent stay (October 2025) was business rather than holiday. This time I travelled with my 7 year old son and I cannot recommend it enough. From booking to leaving for home the staff at the resident couldn’t have done more for us. I requested a ground floor room as my son won’t go into lifts and this request was accommodated with no issues. The staff were so welcoming when we arrived. Our flight was early which meant we had hours to wait before our room was ready. The lovely lady at reception made me a cup of tea and my son a hot chocolate while we waited. Then we got our room which was ideal as we were going to an event at midday and wanted to freshen up. When we got into our room I was delighted with how clean and welcoming the room was. The staff had also left a card for us with a lovely message inside. After a long day we then got back to the hotel and enjoyed some complimentary drinks while we rested. In the morning my son ordered a glass of milk from reception which again was no trouble. We then checked out and left our bags for the day while we explored. When we finally returned to collect our bags we were again met with such kindness from the staff who gave us another lovely tea and hot chocolate before we had to leave. Restaurant staff were good as well except the blunder of breakfast list. Management should look and change their online pricing by making sure the pool fee is highlighted so that people can make a choice beforehand.

There is a evident mold issue in the rooms. You can see it all around the rim of the shower floor, in the grouting, and even the water holder in the coffee machine! We cleaned the water holder ourselves and informed reception but nothing was done about it (we have not drank coffee out of the machine). There is no working extraction fan and you can't open any of the windows, so after a shower the room smells and remains damp and musty. Due to design of shower the floor floods with water. The fire alarm has gone off twice during our stay, both during earlier hours of the morning and both were false alarms- not great! Wasn't given wifi details on check in or in room, had to ask reception. Seems like a basic thing a 4 star hotel should provide on arrival. As for the room, harsh lighting in bathroom area and then hardly much over the main bedroom area.The phone in the room is not intuitive, couldn't ring reception from it and kept beeping so we unplugged it in the end. The three saving graces: located in a beautiful building, good central location, and some of the staff are nice. Unfortunately won't be staying again. It's been the poorest experience I've had staying at a Marriot hotel.

Traveling with a 16-month-old and our dog can sometimes feel overwhelming, but the staff here made everything effortless and truly special. Kelly, Pippa, Erin, and Dan were absolutely incredible—so attentive, kind, and genuinely thoughtful. They went above and beyond to make our little boy feel happy and comfortable (no small feat with a toddler!) and were just as welcoming to our dog, who was treated like part of the family. I think it opened in 2002; but presumably traded as something else prior to this, as I think this has been a hotel since they refurbished these docks in the 80s. The aesthetic is brick - this is an old warehouse after all - the vibe is industrial and redolent with history. Inside the layout is odd - you enter a large lobby on ground floor but there’s nothing there, you have to ride a lift two floors to reception. I think this is because most of the floors below are bars and restaurants. Reception itself is large, with a bar and lounging space. Check in was very smooth and efficient, all very quick. Room itself was a good size, with a Mersey view (apparently one of the better views?). The interior of the rooms are a bit tired, but in decent condition - all feels a bit 2000s, so possibly original to when this became a HIE hotel. Decent shower - not one of those silly over-bath jobs. No fridge, but that’s to be expected in a HIE. The corridors in this hotel are massive - it’s a bit like the Titanic in that respect. These warehouse conversions do lead to bigger rooms etc than a new-build. Hotel has own entrance to the Albert Dock itself, in the corner over by the Botanist - that’s useful. Very convenient for the Arena and also the ferris wheel.

Location is fantastic and the staff are lovely – shout out to Daniel for being such a friendly, helpful welcome. Rooms are on the smaller side but totally fine for a couple of nights, especially as a solo traveller. The staff were lovely, so friendly and welcoming and told you everything you needed to know on arrival. There's also a lovely cosy café bar beside reception, it’s a nice spot to sit for a bit after a long day. Decent sized room with a great view. The room was quiet & clean apart from a plastic water bottle which was on the floor next to the sink & had been left by the previous guest. No carpet which always makes the room feel cleaner. Mini bar with complimentary soft drinks. Plenty of sockets next to the bed & near a mirror. A large car park nearby which guests can gain a discount for. Cons I received no reply to the two emails I sent asking if the three rooms we had booked could be close together & disappointingly we were on different floors. I asked again when we checked in but was told no. The key fob for your room won't allow you to access other floors so when we wanted to meet in one of the rooms for a drink, we had to all meet in the lobby first then go back to one of the rooms. I appreciate this is a security measure but if my emails had been acknowledged, we could have been on the same floor & avoided this faff. The shower is in the bedroom rather than in a separate bathroom so if you're sharing with a friend, it's not private at all. The air con was not working properly when we stayed (which we reported to reception) so the rooms were extremely hot.

The coffee, fruit, hot options - local yogurt - so many details, I would say this must be ONE OF if not THE best breakfast in town! (discounted for guests). I am an individual who requires a very clean environment to feel my best, and this hotel did NOT disappoint. It's just far enough from all the "action" downtown - walkable within about 10 minutes - but after the music, you can return to a quieter part of town to actually sleep. The hotel is incredible, modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable, my room on the 15th floor was huge and had the most amazing view of the city. All of the staff have been exceptionally friendly, making me feel welcome and displaying excellent hospitality skills. The food was fresh, very well presented and full of flavour. The 360 sky bar is award winning, has a lovely atmosphere and the best 360 skyline view of the city. The staff at this hotel really made it and are a credit to the company! Did nit even bother taking pictures of that room the whole place put me off and killed my vibe. I hope they would modify the place especially room no 19.

Due to the rugby and football in the city we could not arrange a new place to stay as last minute accommodations were coming up to over £1000. The hotel was padlocked and shut down. A person at the pub next door said that police moved everything out of the hotel over a month ago. We arrived Saturday 26th of April only to find a note on front door saying it closed 9th of April. Then 2 days ago I received a email stating that they have cancelled and refunded my booking as I have had several conversations with reception and do not contact or book this hotel again, very rude and unprofessional for such a big chain of hotels, obviously they don’t like to hear of a complaint but when you pay for something you expect to get what you pay for. On the plus side they haven’t spoiled our weekend as I have booked a better hotel which I have used before. Avoid this place as your booking is not 100% guaranteed if you raise a complaint.

We have stayed in a number of hotels over the years, but never in a room this size. We were on the third floor and had open beams and some of the biggest lights I have ever seen! The toom was clean and comfy ( with 2 double beds and 2 singles). Tea and coffee ( pristine kettle) hairdryer and iron. The bathroom has a spa bath - which was awsome - took a while to fill but well worth it. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. The public areas of the hotel are quirky and comfy. The breakfast is made with good quality fresh ingredients and is well stocked. The service is some of the best we have experienced. We have really enjoyed our weekend here.

We felt sorry for our friends who recommended this establishment, as, since their stay new owners had purchased it. They dispensed with the pork scratching dispenser. The breakfast was not good, very average. Only egg option was scrambled, no poached, fried etc. it was full English. Croissants and muesli were available. Rooms: they are very large, biggest I’ve ever stayed in. My room had 1 x double and 2 x single beds, some had even more. In my rooms case to service up to four people it had one shallow draw in the wardrobe base and two small bedside cabinets draws, no chest of drawers! As a result our party had to live out of their suitcases. TV was dire, not intuitive to use, not many channels which took time to scroll through and find when the set was turned on. The bath was a very large jacuzzi type with a shower over it. The base was slippery, no anti slip bath mat, had to use a towel to stand on. The main entrance was difficult for people with mobility issues, I have Parkinson’s which is not normally a problem if there is a handrail to steady myself. There isn’t one and, as the walls on each side are recessed they could not be used to lean against. Any risk assessment should have pointed this out, litigation waiting to happen. The staff are lovely, one, Megan, was a delight. The dining room staff said that a lot of guests were not happy with the poor breakfast choice, I think they need to review their 4 star rating.

A great welcome from the staff at reception. Coming & going they interact warmly & friendly. Room was huge. Clean and had everything you needed. Plenty of tea coffee too. Reception and bar area is poorly lit. Initially we were given a huge room with 3 double beds but on complaining we were moved to a smaller room much more suited to a couple. There was a lovely jacuzzi bath but when we tried to use this black limescale deposits were ejected from the nozzles. Clearly the bath had not been serviced.
