The staff really make the hotel shine. Everyone was friendly. They seemed to go out of their way to make our stay memorable. We stayed on a spa offer that included dinner. Holly and Luke in the restaurant on the 2 nights we were there made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel like VIPs. Haydyn was super helpful at the front desk. I've always had all of my needs met, whether it's the staff fiddling with the venue lighting to get it "just right" in the evening, to greeting me warmly when I arrive and helping me store my equipment safely, to never forgetting to feed me when I'm hidden away on the mezzanine during the wedding breakfast (oh and always getting a free much needed coffee when I'm flagging). Weddings can be long and tiring days for a photographer, so all of these things make such a big difference to how I do my job. I always always ALWAYS look forward to shooting at OH ME OH MY.

What a fabulous venue and an amazing day! Rinah and her team were fantastic. She guided us calmly through the planning process in the months leading up to the big day and was so helpful. . The gnocchi was 90% potato and so soft. My partner loved the lamb. Service was not great at the start of our meal it might be that the girl serving us was new but I said I was vegetarian and I am pretty sure one of the butters we were served with bread contained meat. To anyone that is vegetarian or vegan, be aware that they serve bread with butter containing chicken, despite it being labelled as vegetarian on the menu. I would say if you appreciate good food and you want to celebrate a special occasion then this is one of the nicest places in Liverpool to do so. We had a warm and unpretentious welcome. We were shown to our table and the staff ever so kindly directed a fan our way due to the heat. We chose the Prix Fixe menu at £55 pp. Everything was delicious but there were a few standouts. The seaweed butter was flavourful and very much enjoyed. I ordered the soufflé to start which I was most excited about but I am so glad I come from a family who shares food because the Ox Tongue ended up being my favourite bite of the night. The lamb main was ordered by 2 out of 4 of us and again was an incredible dish! Thank you to the Art School for a lovely evening with nice touches including the personalised menus and the complimentary glass after my meal.

The Art School Restaurant offer an exciting Prix Fixe menu for £55 which looked worth trying, especially as menu options looked very appealing, and decided to go for it. The meal certainly didn’t disappoint and had an excellent experience at this restaurant. Everything ordered at my table was extremely good. We were given a delicious velouté as an amuse bouche to start the meal and we went for the cheese soufflé and a venison tartare for starters. For mains we had the guinea fowl and the cod loin. We ended the meal with a “trio” of signature desserts. Everything without exception was delicious and would certainly go back again to try either their larger Tasting (£125) or Excellence (£95) menus. My only gripe was that, although delicious, my cod loin dish was far too small for a main dish. If I’d hazard a guess, the weight of the cod served was probably around 100g, which really isn’t acceptable as a main. The service at the restaurant is courteous and professional, however the atmosphere, decor and interiors are a little too bland for my taste. With that said, I’d still go back in a heartbeat for the quality of cooking on offer.

Came to Liverpool specifically for this afternoon tea which was bought as a gift. When booking I requested early but was advised on the phone the best time to come to avoid a wait for food was 3:15 so that’s what we booked. Arrived at 3:10 was seated straight away and asked if we would like our Prosecco which we accepted. When the drinks arrived a few minutes later we were asked for any alterations to the menu. We asked for no horseradish and no cucumber in the sandwiches. We then waited 30 minutes for the food to arrive which was a little excessive. When it did come we were disappointed, no macaroons, they had run out, no cream cheese sandwiches, a mix up on their part they thought we’d asked for no cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches instead of just no cucumber in the sandwiches. The tea itself was served on a wooden breadboard instead of a cake stand which swamped the small table leaving not much room for plates or drinks. Then we inquired about the missing items and 10 minutes later we were brought brownies to replace the macaroons(not a favourite, I would have preferred the macaroons) and cream cheese sandwiches. However there was no room on the table to put this plate down so I had to lift them off and place them on the breadboard myself while the waiter held it. After all this and 45 minutes after we arrived we were asked if we would like tea or coffee, it arrived when the majority of the meal was finished. The food itself was ok but nothing startling, I don’t eat meat but my husband said the ham and mustard sandwiches had that much mustard you couldn’t taste anything else. The scones were nice but tiny. I was really looking forward to this treat, I do like an afternoon tea but this was probably the worst I’ve had and one of the most expensive. I guess you pay for the name but certainly don’t pay for quality or service.

Had a very warm welcome when we arrived. We booked a standard double Room which included breakfast.. Room was very clean, we didnt hear anything or see anybody on our floor(5th) Room was quite dark but that was its style. Bed was comfy and had no issues with the bathroom, we soon worked out how to flush the toilet!! All the staff we spoke too were freindly Breakfast had a lovely choice, nice to have hot food cooked to order and not sitting under a hot lamp with hordes of people getting in the way. Location was really good, short walk to museums and liverpool one. A bit further to Liverpool Lime Street, but the receptionist kindly offered to book us a taxi which turned up on time for our return journey. One tip get some taxi numbers from Reception. Try and avoid getting in a Black Cab we think we were ripped off big time. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Much better than the experience we had at a well known chain of hotels where we stayed 2 years ago. Would not hesitate to stay at Malmaison again. Also fantastic hotel to stay if going on a cruise ,right oppisite cruise terminal.

The rooms are clean and well equipped with top quality refreshments. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've EVER slept on and the pillows were just the same, I had the best two night sleeps and so did my 4yr old! Our room was on the 6th floor so the view was great. The breakfast😋, soooo much selection more than your standard hotel there is definitely something for everyone! My 4yr old had so much options as well as his regular Weetabix with warm almond milk and honey. We were greeted by friendly, cheerful Nick for breakfast on our first morning, he was asked for the hot Almond milk which he replied 'yes, no problem at all, I'll bring it over' and he did so with a smile and then on our second morning he had remembered us and our request and asked if we would like hot Almond milk again, I said yes but today just warm please as my little one decided to have rice crispies instead and he delivered just that. Both mornings the breakfast staff were so helpful and polite, Helen was especially excellent with my little one everytime he said hello, smiled or spoke to her she took time to respond to him with a caring, patient attitude. All this made our experience at the Hilton amazing, when travelling with young children to these kind of establishments you can be made to feel a little out of place however, not at this Hilton hotel everyone we came into contact with on our stay was polite and welcoming. As a newbie to Liverpool, it was perfectly located to so many great pubs and restaurants. If you're able to be on foot, you'll be able to walk street to street and find something great to try. A perfect place to return to crash after a long day of adventures.
