A little gem in Liverpool- fresh pastries and sourdough! Tried their sourdough and it’s so tasty! Great flavour and chew to it! In pastries we tried pistachio croissant ( probably the best we’ve had), the filling tasted like pistachio and not overly sweet like some other bakeries where it’s usually a very sweet pistachio cream with less pistachio flavour. The second was the basque cheesecake - it was like cloud in the mouth really fresh tasty! The last one - was hands down the favourite the rye and dates Brownie - the most moist gooey and chocolatey brownie - probably the best brownie in Liverpool that I’ve tried! There was a nice flavour of a good chocolate / cacao with the most gooey centre and a slight crispy top - amazing textures and flavours! Will definitely go back!

The bread was truely amazing and the grilled cheese was out of this world!! Could eat that every day no questions asked. The Pistachio Crossiant was crispy, soft and filled perfectly all at the same time. The pecan cinnamon roll had just the right amount of nuts to cinnamon ratio. I had spotted this place on find me gluten free and after seeing all the positive reviews decided to give it a try. The atmosphere on walking in was lovely and we was greeted by a lovely gentleman at the door who we later got chatting to called Yohan. I was amazed by the insane amount of gluten free options on the menu, never have I been to a restaurant where you can order gluten free lasagne, so of course that’s what I got, I also shared a gluten free garlic bread with my husband and had the caprise starter, my husband had the calamari and seafood linguine!! Now when I say this food was on another level… the lasagne was perfect, the gluten free garlic bread wasn’t like your normal frisbee type gluten free rubbish you get in most places you could literally tell the dough had been freshly made!! My husband absolutely loved his and honestly there wasn’t a single thing we could fault!! One meal came without a side, an extra side hadnt arrived and a full main dish was missing when we were asked if we had everything we needed. Of course, we informed them of this and after a further 10 minutes this was rectified. Our tapas boards were also cleared at this point and after asking 3 times our cutlery was replaced. We all enjoyed our food after we eventually got it to the table however the service and wait time put a negative spin on our family reunion and I would not return again.

We’ve been curious for a while and it really feels like one of those proper neighbourhood spots that people love and talk about. For me, it’s one of the best pastry shops in Liverpool. We decided to stop for breakfast as we were nearby, and glad we did. The coffee was great and tasty, def what you need first thing in the morning. We ordered the smashed avo with halloumi which i highly recommend, avo was fresh, the sourdough toast was perfect, the crispy chilli and oil on top was a really nice addition with 2 poached eggs, but the highlight was the 2 really thick pieces of halloumi, golden brown all over and tasty, we also got the smashed avo with smoked salmon which was great but a slight let down on the poached eggs as the were both hard in the middle. The side of cheese and onion hash browns were delicious and went perfectly with the breakfast. BUT, that was not entirely what we came for, the pastry selection from the bakery was the best I've ever seen and tasted even better. I won't go through each one but I highly recommend trying as many as you can. They were all so crispy and baked to perfection, I can see why so many people were stopping for treats. We will defo be back, and get another different selection to try!

The gnocchi was 90% potato and so soft. My partner loved the lamb. To anyone that is vegetarian or vegan, be aware that they serve bread with butter containing chicken, despite it being labelled as vegetarian on the menu. We didn’t have a reservation but were offered an outside table which suited us perfectly as it was a lovely day for September! Beautiful decor and clearly very popular, we were given a very warm welcome with a smile and staff were attentive throughout. Brilliant for vegan 'junk', loaded fries, burgers etc there are also a few home cooked meals like a shepherd's pie and Mac & cheese. Good Chinese from the Woo Tan Scran menu and you can mix and match from both menus for any meal deals. The restaurant is in the basement, so it's got a cosy vibe but no views. The family who own this place obviously put in their heart and soul , thought and a lot of hard work and it really shows. So happy to have visited and also seen amazing Carl Warner art work again!

I always like to try out a new place, well I thought it was new place, but I was told that it's been in business for 8 years. Anyway its the neon sign saying "BAR" that caught my eye, so had to try it out for a pint. You walk down a few steps to a basement level to get in, but it's like the Tardis inside, it's a lot larger than it looks from outside. It's primarily a vegan restaurant and unfortunately I'm not a vegan but I must say the smell of the food was very enticing. We had just called in for a drink and must say it's a very nice quiet place to have a pint. Staff are very pleasant and brought the drinks to the table for us. I've never called a bar this before but would classify this place a lovely hideaway where no one would find you. So if you'd like a quiet drink in a busy city it's a very good place to go.

We have to avoid dairy, most grains/wheat/gluten, sesame, most nuts- and I was able to get so many amazing gluten free and allergy friendly foods! We got the cauliflower, chili cheese fries, ribs, burgers! Highly Recommend this place, the staff spent time talking to us and we had an overall amazing meal. Negatives first... It's difficult to find the shop as the postcode isn't adequate for the location, and the shop is out of sight on a small retail/warehouse complex. There is not adequate signage, with almost unreadable signs on the main road stating who is retailing. The shakes, cakes, and jars of sweet goodness. They are really nice! We bought 2 different custom shakes and 2 different jars of flavoured cheesecake. Kinder Bueno cheese cake... Gorgeous! So tasty!! Enough to share for 2 people as a desert. Same goes for the cadbury caramel cheesecake, just delightful. But us too much for one person, but worth the money for sure! The shakes were also very tasty, but had a taste of either cucumber or watermelon in every other sip. Which was a little off putting. But i must state that everything was still very nice. A very tasty selection, lots of choice. Great service and looks like it's a busy service when we collected the deserts. Everyone was wearing protective gloves and hair nets, which was great to see. And the suggestion to improve the Google search was accepted by the managers at the back of the building, who seemed open to suggestions for improvement. Will definitely be going back for more!
