先日 サグラダ･ファミリアへ行って、10日通ったけど、その時に日本人男性の方から、こえを掛けられたのですが、何故そんなに長い間通う必要があるのか？尋ねられたので、stained glass の日光を通した色合いが違うことの変化を観たいからだというと、建築責任者が日本人で、中の設計場所に案内してくれました。
最近、中央部のひとつが完成したことを知り、また行くつもりでいます。
美術館も同様で理由で行ったのが多いですね！
ハリケーンが来てたのでホールに避難させられました、怖かった。何事もなく終わりおかげなのか？ゆっくり鑑賞しました。リペアルームも見ることができます。
駐車場は$12ですが、入場料は無料でした😀
ただ隅々にまで人が配置されていて、どこにいても監視されている感じがしてやや落ちつきませんでした💦

The lovely Nasher Sculpture Center in the Dallas Arts District hosts their “Til Midnight” event once a month between March and October. ‘Til Midnight at the Nasher was my first experience at the sculpture center. This is probably one of the coolest spots (and crowds) that you can find in the downtown area. If you’re looking for an immersive and crisp way to experience art, you found it.
The building’s interior was cleanly and tastefully built. Modern white oak floors showcase the sculptures.
The courtyard is spectacular as well. Walk to the back where an exquisite weeping willow and water feature was perfectly placed between sculptures.
Best outdoor live music I’ve heard in a long time. They also play movies every 3rd Saturday of the month in the months of March-October.

Everyone did a great job from the parking attendants, security guards, staff check-in and of course the individual booth workers. I had a great time there at the Museum of Nature and there are 5 floors worth of knowledge. There's a floor that focuses on space, another one of geology and another one biodiversity. This is a great place to visit solo or with a group. It is also family friendly. Parking is across the street ans them one would walk to it from there.

Me and my boyfriend love to come here for a fun date and it was pretty fun. We went on a Thursday so we thought it would be less busy but there were a lot of field trips so it was quite busy. This was my first time at The Dallas Contemporary.
We were not disappointed. The exhibition featured artworks from Patrick Martinez, Karolyn Jablonska, Sally Saul, Brian Fridge, and others, is bold and has power behind the imagery.
I honestly can't believe it's free to enter. There is a $10 suggested donation which it's nice to give if you can.

Came here for the Brian Fridge exhibition and as I’ve never been to the contemporary museum I was excited to go. The museum itself has plenty of parking and a few exhibits on display. The exhibit I visited for was a short film (6 mins) summarizing the solar eclipse we have coming up in a few weeks. After that, we toured the museum and saw two other exhibits that were very interesting but nice to see. The customer service was great and they offer complimentary wine. I look forward to returning to see future exhibitions as they come.

My Fiance and I spent a couple of hours Here this morning walking around and looking at all of the displays. This was my second time to visit here. But it's been a long time in between so it was nice to revisit it. This was her first time. And thankfully she enjoyed it. It's definitely a great place to spend a few hours looking and learning more about Americas Aviation and Space history. While I'm at it. I want to highlight a couple of their attractions, 1. Apollo 5 Capsule, 2. An actual Blue Angels FA-18, 3. The Flying Pancake, 4. The Southwest Airlines History svs Displays. 5 they have a place for children to visit and play around in. So that's just a few of the many fun and interesting things you will see and experience. Overall, it was a phenomenal evening. I took off a star because of the venue and seating not being what is depicted when purchasing a ticket. The seats were so close together, we were on top of perfect strangers and they were quite uncomfortable. Parking is free and really close to the museum. There are a few cool sculptures outside. When you walk in the first floor is free and features was small art works. You have to check in at the gift shop to buy tickets to enter the second floor. I’m quite surprised there aren’t more reviews for this lovely museum. There is easy and free parking, a nice gift shop, and a nice representation of Spanish art through the centuries. They have some works from some very high profile artists too. Some of the works have QR codes to scan to get more information, which was neat. My only complaint is that for some of the works, especially the larger portraits, the lighting wasn’t right on the pieces so there was quite a glare on them.

However, the majority of the ceiling lights in the narrow hallway that shine upon the displayed art of Salvador Dali were broken. We tried using a cell phone light but it was too dim. I'd recommend you call ahead to see if these lights are fixed before you go, or bring a flashlight if you wish to see the art and descriptions. . We didn't complain because we got such a good deal on Groupon, but with the displaying lights broken, I would not pay full price. First things first - go INTO the red brick restaurant, and right behind the main desk is a staircase that leads to the museum.
Everything is so well displayed and maintained. There is plenty of signage to fully explain whatever you are looking at, and it's a nice intimate setting.

I had no idea this place existed and I am so glad I discovered it. the curator's tour is well worth planning for a specific time of day, although I did struggle overheating, standing, and walking on the concrete floor; bring a hand fan, wear comfortable shoes, and don't get two vaccinations on your way there (that one was on me)!

for this visit, The Eye was clearly the showstopper. meant to invoke the moment man first split atom, the mirrored shards radiate energy from one angle while displaying clear architectural framing from an other. the viewer finds themselves reflected in shattered vestiges of the human they were when they walked into this room. there are stairs going both up and down, reminiscent of MC Escher, complete with rabbit holes tunneling through to the other side. from a distance, the woodwork supports can be sighted peaking from intentional defects made in the mirror, and an abundance of cracks thoughtfully decorates panels throughout. there is also, very subtlety, the form of two pyramids stacked upon each other, the top pointed down, almost to remind one of an hour glass. as the piece fluidly moves with the observer, reflections of the room dancing in and out of line of sight, it is hard to say how much of the sand in this hourglass has fallen.
there were so many lovely and moving pieces, which is incredible because they said the exhibit I was seeing was smaller than usual. it was just a feast for my brain, inspired me to create something of my own, and already I can't wait to go back. and it's all FREE! make sure to register before so you're not fumbling at the check-in desk, but there is no charge, not even for tours. since it's a little out of the way, there's very little traffic and you can get the gallery to yourself (and a watchful guard!).

I was able to see everything at my own pace and with being disturbed. There was an Atrium that opened up inside the building where all of the flags were displayed representing the different countries their products are sold in. This facility is used for current business needs and there were meeting rooms available. If you have ever wondered about Mary Kay Cosmetics and the history behind the women who built an empire, this would be a wonderful place to visit whether you use the makeup or not.

I was under the impression that this museum was free (the google question and answer people said it was free and donations were accepted). 2 adults and 1 three year old we paid $12 not bad and completely worth it. This was our first visit to the Dallas Firefighters Museum. I brought my daughter and 9yo son with me on this visit. I was a little worried that my 9yo would get bored easily and loose interest, but that never happened. We were all fully engaged and found the entire visit educational and entertaining.
Upon entering the building, we were warmly greeted by two former Firefighters. We paid the entry fee and signed the visitors book. Mike, also a former Firefighter, was our tour guide. He started the tour in the photo room area where he told us a few quick stories about some of the photos on the walls. He then took us inside where we were able to see and touch lots of artifacts and learn the stories behind them. It was fantastic! The entire tour was only my kids and I, so we felt like we received the VIP/Red Carpet experience. As we moved on to each section, Mike stopped and asked us if we had any questions, which we always did. Mike was very patient with us and extremely knowledgeable about everything we were looking at. The stories he told us were fun and interesting, he was fantastic with my 9yo son. 1/2 way through the tour, Mike took us into the theatre where we watched a cute kid friendly film on fire safety. This film was also a reminder to me of some things I do wrong in my own home such as overloading a power outlet. It also reminded me to sit down with my family to come up with a fire escape plan for our home.
I highly recommend the Dallas Firefighters Museum because it’s a great look at our past, as well as a brief look into what FireFighters go through to protect us and keep us safe.
I give Mike 5 Stars because he is a great educator and did a great job keeping the tour fun, interesting, hands on, and engaging. The fact that he was able to even keep my 9yo engaged earns him another 5 Stars! We spent a couple hours here with Mike, and I could’ve listened to him all day. Thanks Mike!
I highly recommend you check them out. There is something for everyone here.
They have some future plans to expand the museum. It’s exciting to see how they will grow.

Visited the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum in Dallas – lots of fascinating and bizarre exhibits to explore. It’s part cool, part creepy, which is exactly what you’d expect from Ripley’s. The displays are well done and there’s a good mix of oddities and interactive features.
My only complaint was the timing. Toward the end of my visit, a large group of loud school kids came in off a bus, which made it difficult to really focus on the exhibits or enjoy the last part in peace. Not the museum’s fault, but it did take away from the experience a bit.

This was my first time at Ripley's! I am not very good with illusions or eye tricks, strobe lights, or jump scares, but I was actually able to enjoy my time here! This little gem is amazing. I was looking for something different yet fun for my daughter and her friends to do on her birthday and found this place. Fun little place. This was our second time visiting. We likely won't return. This is like a super micro version of a meow wolf, celebrating local artists. There are 3 rooms. It is priced way too high for what it is, but always fun to support the local music scene. Also, not in a great part of town. A great place to nap if you don't mind laying on what feels like dirty pillows.

A friend of ours told us about this hidden gem of a museum. It did not disappoint. The displays are set up wonderfully with some information about each bike and some historic facts. Reminds me of the displays at the Smithsonian museum. There are lots of historic bikes and bikes with interesting stories. There are even some unique customs which they can build in the shop. You could find some quality pieces at very low price but also some low quality items grossly over-priced. It appeared that the only criteria for pricing were the size of the paintings! It feels more on brand for a literary arts department or something similar.
