Grand Maison is a trendy spot known for its fashionable brunch and lunch offerings. The coffeebar, run by Celine and Fanny, serves top-quality coffee sourced from Ghent. Despite its name, the kitchen is small, simple, and focuses on healthy fare. The spacious terrace provides a charming setting with the soothing sounds of Liege's river in the background.
Really cute spot with nice staff. They do get very busy and for a reason, the food and coffee are tasty. We enjoyed the eggs mimosa and apricot cake. Cash only.

Cozy little coffee nook with accommodating staff and beautiful and well crafted food! We had the Sunday plate and I was amazed by the overall quality of the experience. It was so packed that we had to sit outside in the rain, but the coffee and food made it worth it.

Employees spoke good English, drinks were okay, but very very crowded and service takes long !! I mean it is the best place in Liege, but i found it to be average.

Probably the best coffee in Liege. Very good flat white. Carrot cake was delicious.

Nice spot to enjoy a quick coffee. The coffee itself as a blend is nothing much , a bit bitter, less arabica beans probably.

Vegetarian restaurant
Recently making its mark in Liège, En Ville has quickly captured the hearts of locals with its delightful offerings. This charming eatery focuses on vegetarian cuisine, featuring fresh produce sourced directly from local farms. Whether you're indulging in a sandwich or a vibrant salad, each dish is crafted with care and flavor. Don't forget to save room for their decadent peanut butter brownie—it's a must-try!
We‘re just having an incredibly nice breakfast at the en ville. The food here is homemade and absolutely excellent, the people super friendly. Our favorite spot in Liege :)
Daniel T — Google review
Great place for people who like good food but simple. Every meal is well-thought. There are not many choices but there is no need because they're well flavoured and different enough to make you come back. Love you girls ! Keep on the good work ;-)
Timothée N — Google review
Excellent sustainable dishes, with local ingredients and vegan options. Very cozy atmosphere. Recommend the home made ketchup with potatoes and vegetables. And the yoghurt with marmalade and granola as well.
Bjarte M — Google review
The food was really good, they had some vegan options & the staff was really nice:)

Pasta had petty blunt and small, I honestly felt it’s overpriced. Also they accept cash only, which is another minus point.

Get Your Mug has become a true institution in Liege over the past nine years, with three locations to choose from. Whether you're craving pancakes, French toast, bagels, banana bread, or buns, this place has got you covered. The extensive drink menu offers over fifty options including juices, smoothies and coffees. You can also enjoy fresh fruit juices and smoothies in a relaxed atmosphere. Don't miss out on their delicious cupcakes and cookies!
We really enjoyed our experience here. The staff were friendly and we received our items in a respectable time. The breakfast items we got were delish! I'm not a pancake fan personally (which asks why I ordered them, right?), but I cannot rave about them more. I barely touched the syrup as the fruit was more than enough to top them. Yum! The bagel was also great - but besides sharing one bite, I wasn't giving up my pancakes, lol. The interior is nicely done and there was a good amount of seating for customers. Besides regular dining table and chairs, there are some lounge chairs and coffee tables for a more leisure experience if wanted.
K E — Google review
The staff were so friendly, I was pleasantly surprised!! The food was very good, the portions were also great. I would recommend! 🤗
Lucija B — Google review
Hot chocolate is pretty good, the cookie was so sweet I worried getting instant diabetes. The service is nice and quick, however the pictures on the wall look like from a nightmare of the book "1984" by George Orwell.
Jens-Jakob G — Google review
It seems this place doesn’t know how to make hot chocolate. Half of my glass was whipped cream with the hot chocolate underneath tasting of bitter powder, it was as if someone poured the milk and didn’t mix in the powder because it was all on the bottom of the glass and around the edges. By then it had also cooled down too much for me to mix it in myself. My partner said the Americano was quite tasty though and so was the cookie.
Alina C — Google review
With no regards maybe the best coffee shop in town! The place itself offers a comfy and cozy atmosphere, and utilities such as power plugs and Wi-Fi. The staff is just AMAZING, Kind, polite and ready to assist you. Last but not least, you can have quality food, including a wide range of beverages, bagels, pancakes 🥞 and much more! I simply loved my pancakes with syrup and fruits. Can’t wait to come back.
Giovanni R — Google review
Great coffee, delicious sweet and salty snacks and meals, very friendly staff, come in and have a lovely break!
Andrea G — Google review
We visited Get your mug for breakfast and it was a very good choice; the belgian bagle with avocado and egg was much tastier than I first imagined :) The staff was very nice and the service quite quick.
Anca T — Google review
Long story short: not the best coffee in town and not the best customer service either. Good bagels. But be ready to wait for 40 minutes for them and the owner telling you that it’s okay to wait and everybody knows it. So if you respect your time and can’t wait for one coffee out of three for 20 minutes and 3 bagels for 40 minutes, visit another place. If you’re here for a chill long 3-hour hanging out and you don’t care about the speed - then come over. + food, friendly people (although they did ignore us when we were calling them, but I give the benefit of the doubt and assume it was unintentional), coffee on the house because we complained about the waiting time; - no respect for the customer’s time, not the best coffee.

La Brasserie is a cozy spot to enjoy a quick, affordable, and robust cup of coffee along with a mini Snickers. They offer a decent selection of beers at reasonable prices. It's known for serving generous portions, such as the omelette during brunch. The friendly staff and pleasant location make it an enjoyable place to savor Liege meatballs and Tripick beer.
I was in this place with my friend Atmosphere of aristocratic luxury I like it so much . Service is great Staff knows English it's great . Serving and portions of dishes gorgeous Steak was very tasty😍 My dish cost 25 euros you can see the scale of the portions it is worth it . We also ordered chocolate fondant and white wine . All delicious we were very satisfied and full 🔥

One of my favourite places to eat every time I’m in Liège. I always get the Liège meatballs or filet américain (raw beef), both highly recommended.

Service was quick, portions were big for the price, sauce was a bit bland, but added some salt and pepper to it.

Good food with a nice ambiance. I want to give credit to Yohann for his exceptional service. He moved from table to table smoothly, delivering excellent service to all the guests including my table.

We went to la Brasserie in Liege. But unfortunately, Except for Tarek, the other waiters were very rude. They didn’t even allow us to talk. Tarek, on the other hand, was both friendly and attentive. We ordered mushroom pancakes, which took 30 minutes to arrive. The ingredients were generous. Would I go there again? I’m not sure. But I would like to thank Tarek once again for his kindness.
Hülya T — Google review
Cosy restaurant. We ordered & got 2 different tasty meals, a tasty lamb chops meal and a steak meal served. Everything as expected, we ordered the lamb chops well done and the steak medium grilled and it was exactly like that cooked! For a brasserie restaurant, two top quality meals. Tarek assisted us with the menu, special menus of the day option and just having a pleasant chat! What I have seen in the restaurant and also read here in the review is that he is the most social guy at the place. Friendly guy, it's really true, who wants to give you a really a pleasant evening! Something to learn / keep in mind by other waitors (also waitors who work in other restaurants). We finished our evening here in La Brasserie the evening with two delicious ice creams (mokka/coffee recommended). Specialty to mention: home made Belgian fries and my girl friend had artichokes and aspergus with her lamb chops meal!
Coen M — Google review
Excellent place for a relaxed lunch. Great food, decent prices, attentive, knowledgeable and fun service by our multilingual waiter Tariq (who faintly resembles the wizard played by Tim Curry in "The Colour of Magic"). We had the meatballs a la Liegeois and the Steakü Brasserie, both were recommended by Tariq, were generous portions, and great quality. Athmosphere/Decor are really nice as well, give an air of cozyness.

Le Pain Quotidien is a charming bakery-café chain that beautifully marries rustic chic with a commitment to organic fare. The communal tables invite conversation while you indulge in an array of delicious offerings, from classic Belgian dishes like croque-monsieur to international favorites such as avocado toast and quinoa salads.
Very nice place for breakfast, which makes you feel at home. I love the croissant as it has the balance of crispiness and softness. Additionally I recommend the flat bread with eggs and the tartlets.
Henning L — Google review
It’s a cool place to have breakfast. I was walking around the city and I got attracted by the style and I entered. Food can be better, a bit tasteless! The avocado was on the dark side…and shouldn’t be! The detox juice could be presented in a better way! To close, a bit pricy for what they offer but they have a lot of potential to get better!
Andrea F — Google review
It's a very atmospheric place. We liked the locals who came there to socialize and read the newspaper.
Viktar S — Google review
Chose this place while walking around. When we walked in, everything seemed really nice and the staff there was pleasant. They told us to take a seat anywhere and they'd be with us. Waiting around for over 15 min without anyone stopping by (while we watched them go to other tables that arrived way later than us), we decided to move to a table closer to their station so they could "see" us (we also weren't the only group going to find the staff to get service, as we watched two other couples do it). It still took some time before they ventured over. Orders taken. The food took some time to arrive (place not busy), and the toast they made was 'cute'. But the food was bland. Even the toast with egg and avocado tasted like nothing. We don't care to salt our food, but it was the only thing we could do to add flavor to the meal.
K E — Google review
Nice cosy lunch place, bit expensive
Henri C — Google review
Nice place, good food, perfect for breakfast. Sometimes staff is too stressed (I ordered an egg and the rest of my meal was already finished when they brought me the egg after two friendly reminders. Also, they forgot my fruit salad ( it wasn't even mentioned on the order). They are very friendly though, so it must be some stress or the lack of experience.
Hans V — Google review
Good food as always, but the service is so slow... My girlfriend had to finish her meal while I haven't received mine. I don't know who is the boss but putting one student outside when the place is crowded, it's completely ineffective... Moreover when the old employee started yelling at the student for something it wasn't her fault, it was quite awkward. I mean that it's the first time the service is sh*t at a Pain Quotidien. I worked for years in a cafe and there a lot of room for improvement here...
Daniel J — Google review
Good was really good, but the waiting times were simply too long. And even after a ‘warning’ of 30 minutes waiting time, better over deliver in stead of keep us waiting for another extra 20 minutes.

The cafe Merlix Cats Café is a cozy place to enjoy a relax time with family or friends. You can order different types of coffee, hot chocolate and breakfast items like pancakes. There are also cats living in the cafe which add an adorable touch! The staff are friendly and kind, and the environment is very clean and well maintained. Allergies be gone - you'll love going to this café!
The young lady we were served by was very friendly and easy to talk to in English. Drink options are quite a nice selection, we enjoyed our herbal teas very much. Cats were very calm too and came to visit us a couple of times. It definitely starts to get busy later in the afternoon, so I would suggest coming in as early as you can.
Alina C — Google review
Was looking forward to visiting and the cats were lovely although some acted nervous at times. I was there for about 15 minutes and had still not been served, I had to go as I had other places to visit. I noticed the smell but was not too bad if you like animals. I would go again if I had more time.
Julie B — Google review
Loved it! Nice and friendly cats (they actually stopped sleeping and came to say hi when we got there). Good food, affordable (given the fact that the money goes to the cats health care). Staff OK, not the friendliest but they love and treat well their cats, so nothing wrong here. Pictures: pancakes, cappuccino & hot chocolate with marshmallows
Nathalie L — Google review
I have been to multiple cat cafes and this one was an average cafe. The cats were not paying attention to any people around. Just focused on food which they get in the same room as the guests. They also look stressed. They have a base group of cats and then they add casts which will be open for adoption. So the group continuously changes which is not good for the cats. The menu is small. Only pancakes and cakes. You can have a brunch in Sunday which you have to order upfront through their website, but there is no option for it to mention you want a brunch. Personnel doesn't order at the table, but didn't mention this when we arrived. So we were waiting for them to come to us. In the end we went to the counter to ask and then we had to order there. It also smells of the cats, which should not be necessary if you clean better. It is quite dirty. Because we like cats they get a 3* rating.

C’est une très belle café!! I am actually allergic to cats, but when I walked by and saw the kittens in the window and the beautiful energy I had to go in :) The staff are friendly and kind, and genuinely seem to love what they’re doing. I enjoyed playing with the kittens and felt a natural atmosphere, where you can relax (and it’s so clean and well maintained that I didn’t have allergies). Loved the iced gourmet coffee with m&ms.... yum! Will definitely go back🤗👌

Disrespectful to the public. Opened after hours(7:00-19:00) till 3am. Every second day makes a huge noise untill late night. Plays music on the speakers on max volume for the whole neighbourhood. Impossible to sleep at night. I would never put my foot in that place. Unfortunately I can't answer to the answer of the owner. As you can see, my review was posted more than a year ago, and you just responded now? Waw! Great management.
