The Bird Cage Theatre, a renowned landmark in Tombstone, is steeped in history and legend. Dating back to 1881, it was a bustling hub of activity, operating around the clock with various amenities such as a cantina, bar, theater, and massage parlor. Notorious for its association with gambling and brothels, the venue attracted both famous and infamous figures of the time.
A very unique museum with an easy self-guided tour experience. I'm glad this place is here and I'm happy that I went though it. Is it worth $16.50 per person? I'd give it a "soft yes." The museum's artifacts are not perfectly curated and it was a bit dusty, but it's a good place to spend 30 minutes while in Tombstone if you're interested in the history.
David M — Google review
This theatre offers a truly unique and thrilling ghost-hunting experience, and I absolutely loved it! The biggest highlight by far was the woman who led the tour she was incredible. Her energy, storytelling, and deep knowledge of the local history made the entire experience feel authentic and captivating. She brought just the right mix of spookiness, humor, and historical insight, keeping everyone engaged the whole time. The atmosphere of the theatre added to the eerie charm, and the ghost-hunting equipment made it feel interactive and fun. Even if you're a skeptic, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement. Overall, it was a memorable and entertaining night, and I’d highly recommend it especially thanks to the amazing guide who truly made the experience come alive.

The Birdcage Theatre – Tombstone, Arizona If Tombstone is the heart of the Wild West, then the Birdcage Theatre is its cathedral. Think of it as the Lambeau Field of football or the Carnegie Hall of music—the place where history, legend, and atmosphere all come together. Many museums claim “nothing has been touched” over the years, but few deliver. The Birdcage does—and in spades. Walking inside feels like stepping directly into the 1880s. Hundreds of authentic items remain in place from nearly 150 years ago. The rooms, the furniture, even the air carries the weight of the stories that shaped the American West. It’s not just a museum—it’s living history. On a personal note, I experienced something here I’ve never felt elsewhere. While exploring the basement on a daytime self-guided tour, I had a haunting encounter I can’t easily explain. I’m not someone who buys into things quickly, but this one gave me chills. If you’re interested in the paranormal, this place more than delivers. Overall, this is the experience of Tombstone. Worth every bit of the entrance fee, even in the 2020s. Take your time, let the history sink in, and if you only see one thing in Tombstone, make it the Birdcage. I’ll be returning—again and again.
Bryan R — Google review
My husband and I are avid travelers and obsessed with paranormal investigations. This did not disappoint! I know I sound crazy to some but for those that have experienced it themselves completely understand me- I walked to one side (away from the group) and immediately felt like a 50 lb weight was on my stomach. I walked towards my husband and told him what just happened, immediately took a picture of the area where I felt the unusual feeling. I captured a ghost on camera! I captured several orbs, one entire human figure and one mist over the Black Moriah. Well worth every penny and every minute spent- it was the highlight of my trip!
Katie S — Google review
This is the original building of The Bird Cage Theatre. It was built in 1881 and is now a museum, but retains a lot of the original theater details. We found the exhibits fascinating and really enjoyed the museum. There is also a nice gift shop loaded with Tombstone souvenirs.
Louis E — Google review
Historic, Haunting, and Totally Worth the Visit. During our trip to Tombstone, we stopped by the Bird Cage Theatre—and it did not disappoint! Hearing the history of the building, seeing the original bar still marked with bullet holes, and viewing the old paintings and artifacts really brought the Wild West to life. The stories behind the place are fascinating, and it’s incredible how much has been preserved. If you’re in Tombstone, this is definitely a must-see spot for a deeper, more vivid look at its past.
Mint M — Google review
I spent a solid three hours here taking in every detail—and if they weren’t closing for the day, I would’ve stayed longer. If you’re in Tombstone and skip the Bird Cage Theatre, you’re missing out. Period. Ignore the cheapskates whining about the $18 admission—it’s worth every cent if you have even a remote appreciation for history. This place is a time capsule, and absolutely essential if you want to understand the real Tombstone.

Bird cage was cool. The host we had was very knowledgeable. We paid the fee and walked around . Pictures and videos are allowed if they are your personal takes but pictures of artifacts cannot be shared w/o written permission from the theatre itself.

Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park in Tombstone, Arizona is a captivating destination that preserves the original Cochise County courthouse. The building, constructed in 1882, features a distinctive Roman cross shape and served as the offices of various county officials, including the sheriff and treasurer. Today, this Victorian-era structure houses a museum filled with artifacts and exhibits that offer insight into the area's rich history.
Free admission for the Christmas celebration. Nicely decorated with staff in period clothes. Fascinating exhibits laid out well to allow people to move around them easily. Mexican ballet folk dancing was beautiful and fun to watch. This was our first time visiting the courthouse and we were lucky we chose the Christmas event day to go.

I have a great imagination, and I look/read everything at a museum. First, the 7 minute movie I was watching was ruined by the sound of a jackhammer right outside the window. Then, my museum experience was ruined yet again because the staff felt it was important to store current day goods next to or in the midde of the displays. Because of disruption and ruination of my experience, I thought the fee was a little high, but understand that money is needed to protect our history. There is a sign on the door that warned of noisy construction, but nowhere was there a sign that said, "As your thoughts take you back in time, and your daydreaming about court house shenanigans in the 1800's, never mind the 2025 polo shirts hanging out next to the judges desk." Now, imagine my eye roll.

Tombstone was awesome. The undertaker coffee place was amazing it really is Coffee to die for. I had three coffee’s in one day. They had a great book party or book launching there with Lola and nacho a kids book with all the cool stuff in tombstone! had to get a couple of those for the grandkids! I think you can buy it on Amazon too. She has lots of books on different places!the Kids books about really cool places. Terri Trejo is the authors name and The book is called the traveling adventures of nacho and Lola touring tombstone! what’s cool is that Her books show you around with the dogs, they go places that you can go and the kids love to take the book and walk around tombstone and see what the doggies did and they are doing the same thing. Super neat. It was a fun filled weekend.

Visiting Tombstone Courthouse State Park is a great experience stepping back in time to the Old West..The abandoned town lives again with a museum..reenactment and a real west feeling.☆☆☆☆☆

You can feel the history in this building in every room. I recommend sitting in the courtroom for a few moments and imagine the things that were said or yelled in that room.

O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona is a legendary historic site known for its daily reenactments of the famous gunfight involving Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. The town has preserved its National Historic District designation with the help of the National Park Service, offering visitors a glimpse into the Old West. Tourists can explore snack shops, restaurants, small hotels, B&Bs, and enjoy horseback, stagecoach and wagon tours.
Rich in history, this town delivers. Spent a full day and didnt see everything. The actors were great and informative. The ambiance was spot on. My husband was the cowboy he wanted to always be (he's Yemeni 😅) we hit two of the restaurants and the food was really good. I wasnt into the wild west before this trip but now I would definitely go back again.
P J — Google review
Beautiful town with wonderful people. Full of history and unique shops. Also, who doesn't want to see an old West gunfight? I wish I had had more time to explore. I will definitely be back!
Ashley S — Google review
We had a really good time at the OK Corral. The gunfight reenactment was so much better than I had expected. The museum collection was impressive. I wish we had spent a little more time there. So much to see.
Joey Z — Google review
So much fun! The gun fight was Awesome. Perfect for a family day. There are three shows a day retelling the gun fight at O.K. Corral. There is also a mini museum of the history of Tombstone's hayday 😉
Jessica W — Google review
The show was worth the price of entry ($10 pp over 5). Very comical but the history lesson behind it was very interesting as well. My children 10, 8, & 5 all stayed entertained the whole 30 min. Gun shots are loud in the "arena"

Very fun place, with a great history lesson, and the gunfight reenactment was entertaining to watch. The walk through museum outside was informative and interesting. Definitely worth the price of the ticket!

The Tombstone Epitaph, Arizona's oldest continuously published newspaper, offers a glimpse into the history and culture of the Old West. The Tombstone Epitaph Museum is dedicated to showcasing the paper's history and features exhibits on how it was printed in the 1880s, including the original Washington hand press.
We stopped in the Tombstone Epitaph Museum while visiting Tombstone. The curator is very sweet and friendly. The museum is free and has cheap Tombstone merchandise. It’s an interesting place to read about a local newspaper that has been around since the 1800s!
Emily T — Google review
Go get a newspaper here! From the OK Corral (and likely other places) you can get a deal to pickup a newspaper memento here. You should also ask for the newest print. This was a cool quick visit to see the presses and some notes of the Clum history.

Wonderful little peice of print history. Fun to see the old machines. Don't forget to pick up a newspaper!

Visited this place along with three friends on a trip to Tombstone this past spring. The docent here had negative feelings about Tombstone's chasing Dodge City money (and rightfully so), but was very knowledgeable about the history of this historic town. Really enjoyed seeing all the old printing presses and equipment that is specific to that era!
Isaiah S — Google review
Very cool place to visit and see more of Tombstone's history. Also, if you visit the OK Corral and buy a ticket there, then you can receive a free souvenir here. The staff here are very nice and full of wonderful information.

Really cool little museum. They have all the original printing presses and ink plates. Several historic prints have been maintained in glass cases. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. **You can receive a free reprint of the 1881 newspaper, with the original gunfight reports, if you attend the re-enactment at the O.K Corral.

The Rose Tree Museum is a tourist attraction in Tombstone, Arizona that contains the world's largest rose bush. The museum is also home to artifacts and exhibits from the average home of someone living in Tombstone at the time the roses were planted.
I stumbled upon this place and I’m so glad I went in! There’s a lot of history to take in as you wander the interior, and the rose tree is a lot to take in on its own. I recommend spending some time under its canopy and taking in its impressive structure and especially that trunk! There’s an overlook as well so you can catch a glimpse of the whole thing. This is a beautiful place and I would absolutely come back ❤️🌹
Sophia J — Google review
Locals can stop in, smell the roses, sit in shady bistro tables, and have lunch! Our favorite quiet place with gorgeous flowers, hummingbirds, and the best museum. Next door to Mom & pops sandwich shop makes it easy to have a bite, out of the tourists way.
Tonia C — Google review
We went to see the largest tree rose in the world blooming. The rose is a spectacular sight even when it's not blooming, but seeing it in bloom was a treat. The museum is well stocked with historical items and the grounds are colorful and quaint. It's worth the $5 fee to learn about local history and get you off the main road and tourist traps.
Theresa E — Google review
The largest rose bush in the world is a MUST SEE! What an experience, especially for rose lovers!! This is my third time visiting the rose bush, and I will definitely be back. This time I stayed in a Rose Bush Museum suite - which has private 24 hour access to the courtyard where the rose bush resides. And I planned my visit to coincide with the rose bush's peak of full bloom. Incredible experience!
Mellyn A — Google review
a little disappointed in this museum and the guy at the door didn't seem like he wanted to be there so why should I be therw
Christina — Google review
Very unique setup, visited a couple of times, and enjoyed seeing it in bloom. Would definitely recommend for any flower enthusiast. My wife absolutely loved seeing it as well as the smaller different color bushes. Entry was $5/person from memory and they accept debit card at the door. Interesting exhibits inside and the rose bush out back, could be in and out in a few minutes or spend as much time as you like.
Cliff M — Google review
We were lucky to visit when the rose bush was in bloom and it was amazing! Staff was friendly and punny😁(mention the fans and he will have you rolling). $5 for entrance (anyone over 14) and kids are free. The museum is small, but they have some amazing things. Texas Republic currency and a wooden bowling ball were something you don't see everyday. The rose bush is epic and so cool! Pictures don't do it justice and it really has to be seen in person, so that you can get a feel of how large the thing is.
Chris B — Google review
The price is $5 to enter. It's worth a visit and lots of picture opportunities. The rose tree is magnificent, and in April, it's blooming season. The museum has lots of pieces, and it's well taken care of. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the shade under the tree. There were even rose trees for sale. The gift shop had jewelry, soaps, and lotions. Soaps have ingredients from the tree.

The Crystal Palace Saloon in Tombstone, Arizona is a historic bar and restaurant with a storied past. It first opened its doors as the Golden Eagle Brewery in 1879 and was later renamed the Crystal Palace. After a fire destroyed the building in 1882, it was quickly rebuilt and became a fine-dining establishment. Today, the saloon features a full bar as well as menus that range from rib eye steaks to buffalo burgers to sandwiches, pizza, soup and salad.
Nice place to catch a bite to eat and take in history and the atmosphere. They even have a pool table if you care to use it. We got there right before they closed the kitchen. We spent $100 for two people so as you would expect it being a tourist place you’re gonna pay higher prices. The people working there are wearing mostly. Except for the shoes because being all day on your feet one needs different footwear. 😁👍
David Z — Google review
We visited this restaurant over Memorial Day weekend, and it was packed with visitors—but definitely worth the wait! We had no idea this saloon was the oldest in Arizona, originally opened in 1879, which made the experience even more special. The food was amazing—especially the all-you-can-eat ribs, which were tender and full of flavor. We also tried the chicken sandwich and burgers, and both were cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was lively and authentic, with live music playing in the background, adding a great touch to the Old West vibe. If you’re in Tombstone, this historic saloon is a must-visit—for both the history and the food!
Mint M — Google review
I had a great experience with the food at Crystal Palace, their steak was really good. However, the service at the bar fell short for me. The bartender wasn't very friendly and kinda seemed to ignore me. If they could work on the bartender's attitude, it would really elevate the whole experience.
J B — Google review
Love the building and history in there. Service was meh. The food was pretty good overall, except for the old tasting corn and pouch mashed potatoes.
Kay K — Google review
Great atmosphere. Waitress was great and took time with her tables even tho it was very busy. The food was cooked and made the way we asked. The vibe is historic but for some reason we didn’t feel like it. They’ve done a great job with this location. We would for sure be back.

The waitresses were so adorable and dressed in clothing from the time! Wide selection of alcohol and the food was quick and delicious.

Nestled in the heart of Tombstone, Big Nose Kate's Saloon is a historic gem that dates back to 1880 when it originally opened as the Grand Hotel. This iconic establishment not only boasts a rich history, having hosted legendary figures like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, but also serves up delicious authentic Mexican and Southern cuisine. Guests can enjoy their meals while being entertained by live country music and engaging Wild West reenactments that bring the spirit of the Old West to life.
Had to come here just because of the history! The food was fast, fresh, and tasty! Had the cheesesteak, the reuben and the southwest sabroso salad...and we were all part of the clean plate club! The staff are uber friendly and quite attentive to needs and allergies. The atmosphere is a mix of modern day country western and old west vibes. Totally a great environment for the whole family! The live music was great, inspiring quite a few folks to get up and dance! Good times!
Tony R — Google review
We had such a fun time here! Late lunch on a Wednesday, we enjoyed live music (he was really good!), engaging chit-chat with a cowboy who dressed us up for pictures at the piano and behind the bar, and great service by Melanie! The food was OK, I think I picked the wrong thing, husband loved his brisket plate. The fried zucchini was thickly breaded and served with ranch. I got the sample platter as my meal but didn't care for the chips, salsa, or onion rings. The buffalo bites were good. That aside, the experience was well worth it as we had a blast!

Big Nose Kate’s Saloon – Tombstone, AZ Imagine taking an authentic 1880s saloon and mashing it together with a modern-day dive bar—then adding loud music, lots of energy, and PG-rated fun. That’s Big Nose Kate’s. This place is lively, with good food, cold beer, and live music that keeps the atmosphere buzzing. The staff play their part too, with plenty of personality, bustled outfits, and big smiles that make the whole experience feel like a party. For me personally, the volume and high-energy vibe were a little more than I prefer, as I enjoy a quieter, more toned-down setting. But for those who love lively crowds, music, and a spirited saloon feel, this spot might be perfection. As long as you know what you’re walking into, Big Nose Kate’s delivers exactly what it promises—a five-star, high-energy adult funhouse.
Bryan R — Google review
Had such a great exsperiance here. Took a brother of mine to the spot for a snack and beverage and was greeted and entertained the entire time. Our waitress (pictured) was amazing and fully attentive and had great menu recommendations. Will definitely stop in again. **side note, I forgot an item on the table she may have grabbed after we left, if someone could message me here I would greatly appreciate it.
Rodney C — Google review
Great live music, great atmosphere! The employees were very nice and treated us well. The food was okay, I did like the seasoned fries and fried squash. Will gladly stop by BNKs when passing thru Tombstone.
Juan M — Google review
Hands down one of the BEST stops in Tombstone! The vibe hits you the second you walk in—like stepping straight into history but with way better drinks. 🍹 The food was fantastic (comfort food done right), the bar and wait staff never missed a beat, and the owner? Absolute legend. 🙌 A true host who makes you feel like you’ve been part of the family forever. The ambiance is next-level—fun, lively, and 100% Tombstone charm. If you’re in town and skip Big Nose Kate’s, you’re doing it wrong...DONT FORGET THE PICTURES (and check out the ones on the walls too!)

Tombstone Trolley offers an hour-long tour through the town, highlighting the locations of the famous gunfight and residences of historical figures. The tour is infused with humor and folklore, making it an enjoyable experience for those seeking entertainment over strict historical accuracy. Additionally, on Friday and Saturday evenings, visitors can opt for a Ghosts and Murder tour to explore paranormal hotspots in town. This locally owned company provides trolley tours to popular attractions such as the O.K.
We got tickets ahead of time and had the first tour at 10:15 before most of the other things open in tombstone at 11 AM. The guy taking the tickets originally seemed a little grumpy, but turned out to be our driver and guide. Once we got started, his personality changed too much more friendlier and informative as one would expect. it was well worth the time and money and extremely informative.

We enjoyed the trolley ride. The guide on Sunday 3/16 for the 3:15 ride was excellent. He was very funny and made the ride especially entertaining. It's definitely worth it to be able to get off your feet and take a quick overview of Tombstone.

We enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was very inquisitive, witty and.quite knowledgeable about tombstone's history. It took about 30 minutes of going around tombstone. The trolley would stop at several interesting locations in the city. This is worth trying. If you're going to purchase ticket for this tour, purchase the combo ticket so you can also watch a mearby gunfight right after the tour and save some bucks.
Mark B — Google review
Zero Stars. Bought tickets for the 11:00AM Tour in advance online so they knew we were coming. Came to collect the tickets from the counter and asked if there was enough time for us to use the restroom, tour guide said yes. Came back and bus was full with no seats left. Tried to get the tour guides attention but he flat out acted like we weren’t there; as if he didn’t just hand us the tickets few minutes ago. Had to get refunded from a different person working the same counter. Horrible experience. Do better.

I’m so glad we took this 30 minute tour before leaving town, it gave us a chance to get some history about the town instead of just walking around it like we were in some Disney style theme park. Our tour guide Chuck was awesome!! We got half price tickets because we bought them with the Old Tombstone Gun Fight Show, but I think you can skip that and just do the tour...or maybe see the Gunfight at the OK Corral instead.

The Gunfighter Hall of Fame in Tombstone, Arizona is a must-visit for enthusiasts of the Wild West era. This museum showcases a remarkable collection of historic firearms, photographs, and artifacts related to legendary gunfighters, outlaws, and lawmen. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring items such as Wyatt Earp's actual peashooter and mementos from famous outlaws and silver-screen sharpshooters like Billy the Kid and John Wayne.
This place is awesome! Inexpensive door fee! A Wild West enthusiast's dream come true! Millions of dollars of rare items in this place! There is so much to read about and take in. The owner is great! I was impressed by his hospitality and his own stories of working with A list actors. I highly recommend to visit it! My father's idol is Wild Bill and there was a big display of him!

Free to walk-in and take photos (i.e converted train head, jail, etc) . Gun show is $10/adult - show is a bit cheesy and slow - interesting for kids but don't expect exciting gun fights. 45 mins long. Also have paid mini golf.

What a great little gem! If visiting Tombstone, I highly recommend taking. A walk a block off of the main drag to visit this museum. Very inexpensive and full of neat memorabilia. The gentleman who was working is full of knowledge! My son and I visited in June and when I came back with my boyfriend and daughter we visited again and to my delight the same gentleman was working. Such a fun place to visit! Highly recommend!!
Kris A — Google review
Great museum filled with lots of fun old west history. Highly recommend it!
Daniel H — Google review
We were super excited to see this, and called to confirm they would be open the day we planned to visit. Traveled thousands of miles to arrive within their open hours--only to find them closed. Guy was sitting behind the closed gate without a care in the world being rude to people asking if he was just out for lunch. If you're going to lure people in from out of state you should stay true to your word and be open.
Lindsey A — Google review
My brother in law, niece and nephew went here on a family trip. They paid the admission fee. When my sister and I went to meet them after they were done, the owner and man at the desk starting calling me and my sister cheapskates for not going in with them, called us liars for not being interested, and proceeded to follow us outside and making inappropriate comments. He said he owned the place. My family said it was an interesting place, but beware of the hostility/volatility of the owner and his angry, aggressive demeanor.
MichaelD B — Google review
This place is awesome. A true Wild West enthusiast's dream come true. There is so much to peruse, read about, and take in. The owner is great! I was completely impressed by his hospitality and amazed by all the paraphernalia, guns, photos, and other accessories that had been collected over the years. We probably spent a good hour in here, reading about his collection and gawking at everything that had been collected. From Luke Short to Bill Doolin, this hall of fame had everyone I could check off a gunfighter's list. They even claim to have Jesse James' trigger finger! At the end of the day, we even got to hold the Colt Buntline used by Kurt Russell in the 1994 movie Tombstone when he played Wyatt Earp. For those few reviewers complaining about the 8 dollar fee per person, it's probably in your best interest to stop travelling. Nothing is free and people have to make a living!
Travel T — Google review
A must see for any western fan , the owner was a nice guy with a wealth of knowledge about the gun fighters , he took his time too come over and explain some of the items , for only 8$ and over 50 cases of memorabilia you can't go wrong

Schieffelin Hall, a large historic adobe building constructed in 1881 by Albert Schieffelin, is the largest of its kind in the southwest USA. Initially intended for high-class opera shows, theater performances, recitals, and public meetings, it has been restored multiple times since 1963 while retaining its original character and charm. Despite a significant fire in 1882 that left it scorched, the hall stands as a cultural and historical landmark in Tombstone.
History is here! Morgan Earp watched a play here prior to going to Hatch's pool hall and getting shot in the back and dying. The hall still the origional floors from the 1880s.

After visiting Tombstone every year for the past 10 years, we finally had a chance to visit this place. It was amazing inside. Incredible architecture for a building that old. It is usually closed to the public except for special events and we were fortunate enough to go to the Christmas ball. Check this one off of my bucket list.
Richard G — Google review
The largest standing adobe structure in Arizona and possibly the entire country. Named after Tombstone founder and miner Ed Schiefflin. It is home to the Tombstone Repertory Company and so far I've seen 3 plays here which have gotten better each time. Looking forward to seeing "The Wizard of Tombstone" next! A truly historical building...that by the way is supposedly haunted if you're into that sort of thing. ;)
Terminally U — Google review
I have spent about three weeks in the past four years in this wonderful building teaching local officers crime investigation methods. The history of the building and its continued use on a daily basis is an important part of Tombstones history. While you are in this building it is easy to become part of Tombstones folklore. Go buy a cowboy hat!
Joe R — Google review
Pretty and clean house on the main road of Tombstone. It’s interesting to see that they rerouted cables in front of the building. I went inside the building and there was a rehearsal of a play in the hall. Great place to see!

Schieffelin Hall is a must see in tombstone it's an original building the Freemasons still meet in that building today. They also use it for what it was originally built for which is Ballroom dancing and plays. WOW

Tombstone's Historama is a must-visit attraction for those looking to take a break from the town's dark history. It offers various fun activities and modern gaming facilities, including virtual reality games and multimedia experiences. The orientation narrated by Vincent Price provides an insightful look into the town's history, while the neighboring OK Corral shootout tickets also grant access to this gem.
I have been all over the west Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, even Arizona. This place is amazing! I’ve been to a lot of places where it’s been Hollywoodized , this amazing place is the original and only historically documented OK corral. It is filled with amazing pieces of history that have been saved and salvaged from the desert terrain. Talented and wonderful people rich history very affordable. The reenactment of the gunfight at the OK corral (coming from someone who has read hundreds of books on Western history)?, they do an amazing job ! Today I visited this wonderful piece of history and it was sitting room only and barely. The people the tourists absolutely love this place.

Interesting concept of retelling a very famous story of the origins of Tombstone. Very impressive diorama, which is in a theatre and almost immersive. The story is a good 15-20 minutes long with comfortable seating. I would recommend it for children 10 and up, as it is pretty detailed. But a good concept for learning about the history of the place. Tickets must be bought
Promiti G — Google review
Family fun, lots to see, lots to do, and lots of history! Great place to "people watch!" Took a lot of photos, traveled with large family.

Excellent history and gun show a must in tombstone
Sharon P — Google review
This was an interesting presentation on the history of Tombstone, but it seriously needs an update. It was completely white-centric. The Apache were mentioned briefly as "marauders", while the white settlers were "brave". Then the Indigenous people completely disappeared from the narrative, save for Geronimo's surrender. When we know better, we can do better. It's time for the Historama to do better!
Susan E — Google review
Fun but mostly shopping and walking.
Charles L — Google review
The Historama is included when you buy tickets to the Ok Corral show along with tickets to the Epitaph. It's nice to do that after watching the show so you can sit inside and cool off for a while. The historama is super old and spins in 4 different sections showing the progression of the town. It's actually pretty comical when some of the figures move. There's a screen that comes down and Vincent Price narrates in-between the figures moving. The only downside was the lady forgot to turn the projector on so someone had to go out and inform her of it. It was so distracting with doors opening, closing, and a lot of chatter. She should've restarted the show since we hadn't gotten very far in the program.
Katie — Google review
You know, I didn't do this the first three times we went to town but we finally did, and I had fun. It was a nice cool place to sit and relax and learn a bit of history about the town. The Historama is actually pretty cool. I would take someone there again.

The Oriental Saloon, a historic gem in Tombstone, is steeped in the rich tapestry of the Wild West. Once owned by the legendary Wyatt Earp, this elegant establishment was known for its opulent decor featuring crystal chandeliers and intricately carved furnishings. While it originally served an impressive array of drinks beyond just whiskey, today it offers a family-friendly atmosphere with live music and entertaining gunfight reenactments that are sure to delight visitors of all ages.
Great place to grab a beer and watch a quick show. Cool looking bar and stage area. A must do while in Tombstone AZ. See our YouTube channel Coolest Life.
Anthony M — Google review
We stopped by the Oriental Saloon in Tombstone and brought our 3-year-old nephew to see the shootout show. He was so excited and really enjoyed the experience! The actors were fantastic and brought great energy to the performance. He especially loved getting to talk to “Doc Holliday” afterward and even got to throw out a few Tombstone quotes—it made his day! One tip for families with younger kids: the blanks they fire during the show are pretty loud. We hadn’t thought about that in advance, so I’d recommend sitting closer to the door or bringing some earplugs if your little one is sensitive to loud sounds. Overall, it was a great time, full of laughs, action, and fun for all ages. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re visiting Tombstone!

Horseback riding service
If you're looking for a unique way to explore the historic town of Tombstone, look no further than "Tombstone Adventures on Horseback." This delightful experience allows you to ride through the stunning landscapes surrounding this iconic destination. The journey begins with easy access from the historic area, where you'll find beautiful horses waiting for you at their corrals behind the main house. Veronica, your guide and horse enthusiast, ensures that even first-time riders feel comfortable and confident in the saddle.
An absolutely incredible tour! We met with Veronica who led the tour and we can't thank her enough for what a lovely experience we both had! It was our first time horse riding and she really put us at ease, we had horses named Moe & Curly who were such gentle souls and really didn't mind strangers riding them! We did the 2.5 hour (around 6 miles!) Tour in the desert and it was stunning 😍 Veronica was very knowledgeable of the area, showed us an old railway bridge, some rocks with drawings from Indians (100s years old) and the monument where the founder of Tombstone is allegedly buried. An experience we will never forget, thank you so much ❤️🐎
Katrina H — Google review
Veronica was my first point of contact for riding! She called me back after the work day was done. She was able to make sure my whole family was able to ride. We were able to arrange for a ride time that worked for everyone! I was able to ride a giant mule named Maggie! She was cool! We thoroughly enjoyed our ride with Mary as our guide! We will be back again! It was worth the drive and really made our trip to Tombstone more memorable!
Preston C — Google review
Completely horrendous result to our friends' wedding week because of these guys. Our friends made reservations for our group to take the two hour sunset ride the day after they got married here in Tombstone. While we're trying to find the place, we call the number on here to get guidance on where the office is only to find out this location is shut down and our friend was never told that nor told anything about them having a location in San Diego. No where on the website nor Google listing does it specify that they're shut down or have a San Diego location. Completely ruined our last day here in town and their wedding trip. There is no other place with available rides this last minute.
Cathy T — Google review
Veronica was the sweetest and very passionate about horses. This was my first time horseback riding and I've wanted to do it for a long time. She was amazing to talk to during the ride too! My fiance actually called after I made the appointment and they made a plan on how to set up the proposal, they even moved the other riders to another guide so it's just us two since I have public anxiety and definitely wouldnt be happy about being proposed infront of a group. It was perfect, Veronica also took photos and videos of the proposal without me even noticing! Thank you so much. The sights were also gorgeous 😭 this is definitely a good pick for horseback riding!!
Trinity C — Google review
My friend and I went on the sunset tour and we had a fantastic time; I think this was our favorite part of Tombstone. Our guide Veronica was knowledgeable and very friendly, and our horses were so sweet and full of personality! If you’re interested in seeing some of the sights of Tombstone that are off the beaten path, and/or if you enjoy horses, I would highly recommend this tour.

Took my sister to Tombstone for her birthday. We finished up our day in Tombstone by horseback riding. We chose Tombstone Adventures on Horeseback / Ponyland Trail Rides. It was amazing. It is easy to get to leaving Tombstone historic area. When you get on the dirt drive on Louis, stay to the left. Go all the way down to the main house that says "Lucky Hills". Follow the road to the left and go behind the house and cabins. There you will find the corrals. The horses are beautiful! There are even some juvenile horses there. I got a lovely horse called Pokey. The horses are so gentle and low key. The ride is a lazy stroll thru a wash and some near back country. There are brambles and low hanging trees that will jump out and "get 'cha" ajajaja. Definitely need to wear jeans and have a non-snag jacket of some sort. I wore a gator as I have allergies. It came in handy as it got windy and dust, dirt, sand, pollen, dry tree/bush shavings were flying. We did the 1.5 hour trip and it was wonderful. I totally recommend horseback riding at Tombstone Adventures on Horseback. You will have a good relaxing time.
The D — Google review
What an amazing trail ride! We opted for the two hour ride that included amazing desert scenery to include some landmark structures and pretoglyphs. Horses were matched to riders in advance by our delightful and engaging trail guide, Veronica. Highly, highly recommend and hope to return. Well worth the investment.
