They block ppl drive ways on Sundays They will crash into ppl cars who live there These ppl need to move that church outta here they even throw down 8 homes so far

I've enjoyed staying connected with Highland over the last few years since graduation. During my time in school, I attended Highland all 4 years and found people to be so welcoming and active in their faith. This church does a great job 'being the church' in its community locally and abroad, not just on Sunday's. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a multi-generational church with great worship rooted in scripture.
Ryan S — Google review
This has been our church home for over 2 years. Amazing worship, Godly teaching. Somehow the staff has a way of making a 3000 member church feel like a 30 member church. They truly want to know you and that leads to growth in Christ.
Jonathan E — Google review
Highland has been answer to prayer for our family! Our kids love going to church! Being with other children that love the Lord and learning the Bible for themselves is a blessing! John Durham is one of the most gifted communicators of the word of God we have ever heard! His heart for the Lord, people, and God's word (written word and hearing from Him personally) is a blessing every Sunday! He is transparent, real, and has a wonderful sense of humor! We love our highland family!
Koni B — Google review
This is the nicest Baptist Church I've ever been in. Even though it's huge I was made to feel welcome. They have an excellent after-school program that my grandchildren attend. They look forward to going to church every Sunday. Their concern for the children's well-being and spiritual growth is evident. I like the less formal atmosphere of the Fourier, but also appreciate the fact that there will be somebody 'shhhhh'ing you if you become too loud.
Julie N — Google review
Driving through headed home from a weekend away, loved being apart of an amazing worship service. Very friendly people from parking lot to service. Message was taught from The Bible! Music and sermon was saturated in The Holy Spirit! Definitely will remember Highland if we are in the area on a Sunday.
Mellody C — Google review
My daughter and I visited today and we felt the Holy Spirit so strongly. The worship team was so humble and ushered the Spirit in with ease. Pastor John brought a message from Acts 2:42 and taught on the Baptism of Water and the Holy Communion, two of the four legs of the church. It was a time to join others in unity of love and in edification of the church body of Christ. As we took communion, I felt like 'this place is full of love'. Towards the end of the service a couple in front of us came to introduce themselves. Turns out we have a mutual friend in Christ! We were invited to the picnic this afternoon and can't wait to go. We feel like a new member of a family of love. I don't know all the changes this church has been through recently, but I sure like the direction they are moving in, under the leadership of the new pastor. You could just feel the love and compassion for his flock flowing from him today.

Non-denominational church
Religious organization
Antioch Waco is a non-denominational Christian church with a strong focus on Jesus. The congregation has a Spanish service and is known for its welcoming and friendly environment. Members have had positive experiences over the years, feeling blessed and motivated after each service. The pastoral staff sets an example for living life with passion and purpose, earning admiration from the congregation. The church offers engaging activities for all ages, including talented artists for the youth group.
I am new to Waco and prefer non-denominational churches. I have met many honorable and kind people here. I started by going to the Single Moms group, which I love. They start back up in February (I think). Great way to meet new people if you are new to the area!

Antioch formed my college experience at Baylor and forever changed my life. There is an amazing college ministry, and they meat every Wednesday at 7. I highly recommend and if you attend to also attend a life group. The connect center is a great resource!
Kitron F — Google review
Hear me when I say I loved my time in the college ministry. It was what I needed for the time, and there are some incredible advocates that were there as things got bad. But I cannot recommend this church. This place is a church of deep spiritual abuse, sexism, racism, ableism, and homophobia. They also do not allow for any space to disagree. A friend of mine was kicked out of a volunteer position because she posted about transgender rights on her Instagram story (not even for anything said in church), and when she chose to leave, all of her friends from Antioch completely isolated her. The @dearantioch page on Instagram is full of similar stories from people who experienced isolation, abuse, microaggressions, and even sexual violence that was covered up. I personally know of stories of sexual violence that occurred in the church that was brought to leadership. When confronted, they sided with the assaulter. I personally experienced significant sexism being silenced and talked down to on a regular basis because I am a woman and being called into ministry. I can count on one hand how many women are in pastoral or eldership roles at Antioch, even though there are dozens of men in these roles. The sheer level of purity culture emphasized here is insane. I was taught to hate my body, that my body is sinful, that everything needed to be controlled. Leaders targeted women for what they were wearing frequently and held the mindset that if a woman is assaulted, it is because of her outfit being too tempting for boys as opposed to holding men accountable. Once, on a mission trip, there were some incredibly sexist comments made by male teammates, including the pastor, about how women should submit and not ask men out on dates. It turned into a screaming match, and it ended with the women lamenting how we had no female pastoral help us talk through purity culture and dating and how hard it is to be a woman. I had just finished a book specifically about that, and it was incredibly healing for me. I proposed to the ladies that we start a book club and read it together and invite the women of our ministry to join, but when proposing this to the pastor, I was told that I couldn't because the author had written a blog post about an incident where another pastor at a neighboring church had made some extremely ugly and sexist comments about a woman hitting on him. The pastor agreed what was said was wrong, but because of his friendship with this pastor, I was not allowed to share this book club in Antioch spaces as he did not want to ruin the reputation of the church as a friend of this other space. They care more about their image than actually helping women that needed this. But the worst part was how I was treated because of mental health issues. I have chronic, lifelong mental health conditions. There is an expectation to fit a certain mold at Antioch in how you talk, act, listen to, etc. And I tried to fill that mold faithfully. When it came to my illness, I was expected to be fully healed. That never happened. I had a very nasty episode during which a leader told me I was suicidal for attention. This same family was a major part of barring me from growing in my ministry call because of their hope to see "more freedom" regarding stuff they had very little context about when the comment was made. Through recovery, I was looked down on, talked down to, and told often that I needed to be fully healed and thought I was not going to be able to pastor because of my illness. I was barred and removed from leadership positions with no warning because of gossip. The pastor leading one of these never talked to me but just called and told me that I was supposed to be taking a break because she had talked to others that i was "close to" before deciding to kick me out. She never told me there was an issue. Instead, the team gossiped about me and then kicked me out and avoided me until I left. This is not a safe place to be vulnerable. This place is abusive. I do not recommend. Stay safe. Go somewhere else.
Greer R — Google review
A heart for Jesus and His purposes on this earth is what Antioch is all about. This is the first church I have been to that encourages you to walk out your faith, live life on life with accountability and consistently has opportunities to be discipled and mentored.
Bill L — Google review
This is a great church. I was felt welcome and the pastor gave a great heartfelt service. They have free coffee before services. I believe this will be my new home church in Waco TX.

This church is filled with people who love Jesus and love each other. The teaching is sound. I highly recommend it.
Mary G — Google review
After 6 months attending, meeting all the pastors, attending the Owner/Member interest meeting, visiting 3 separate Life Groups, I can say for sure this is a church dedicated to loving and serving Jesus. Highly recommended!
Jessica S — Google review
No church is perfect and Antioch understands that. I appreciate their committment to helping individuals and families find freedom through a personal relationship with Jesus. It wasn't always comfortable and definitely not easy, but working through those tough times were where my wife and I found the most value and breakthrough. We are forever grateful for the people at Antioch.

Grabbed a Stella and Supremely veggie for my new team. Great pizza and an awesome delivery from Ma. Brenda. Will be back again while in town training our new team.

very yummy and fresh! Large slices that are pretty filling. I always get the margherita and my fiancé got hot honey. Both were really good!
Cambria L — Google review
Lots of options but settled on this place. I was not disappointed. They were really busy but the young lady taking orders was a gem. We ordered the giant slices, meatballs and the ginger brew. Everything was delicious. The hot honey was my favorite. If you like a little spice pared with a bit of sweetness this is for you. The flying pig was my cousins choice. I liked it but pulled the pineapple off. The meatballs are ample and very tasty. The ginger brew has a hint of spice and is amazing. We ate there and it was a nice little atmosphere. My rating of 4 is due to the food pickup process. They take your number but it's not to page or call. It's placed on the tray. I had a lady pick up some of my order because she ordered the same slice of pizza. I pointed at my phone number and she was trying to tell me she ordered hot honey. I wish they would just use an order number. Also I ordered the 4 meatballs but was initially given 3. They corrected it and handed me 4 hot meatballs. I get it. They were busy. It's logistics and can be easily tweaked. But definitely the difference in a 3-4 or 5 rating. However it would not deter me from returning for more hot honey if I were in town.
Mona G — Google review
Just don't. Go somewhere else. We like pizza, eat it every city we go. This one broke the record and goes into the books as the worst pizza we have ever had. Reheated half baked droopy, soggy, pizza with cheese so thick it doesn't reheat all the way. And you have to go somewhere else to get your drinks. Pack up the kids and take them with you or leave them unattended in a food court....not ideal. Eat anywhere else.
Christina G — Google review
My pepperoni-sausage calzone was so delicious! It’s a huge portion that can fill up to 2 people. The staff was friendly and professional. 😊
Christina G — Google review
I did not get to take a picture of the pizza but just know it was devoured within minutes of making it home. We ordered the Stella with a side of ranch and garlic butter. I have never had a dough that tasted like this. It was chewy yet crispy on the outside. Very impressed! Whenever I visit again, this will definitely be on my top list!
Lakisha M — Google review
Honestly SO good! I didn't read the fine print in what came on my pizza and didn't realize it included spinach but JR and Mike were awesome and made me a whole new pizza! Will definitely be back when I'm in town!

Love this church! The Re-Generation recovery program on Monday nights is the best recovery program I've ever been a part of. I am experiencing true freedom with real people not pretending to be perfect. I am discovering who Jesus created me to be through this in depth 12 step recovery program. This church is unlike any church I've ever attended. Highly recommend giving re-Gen on Monday nights a try as well as the Sunday services. Every sermon is biblical and sound doctrine straight from the Lord.

First time visiting and we accidentally sat on the second row from the front. Who would have know this is where the church youth sat. It couldn’t have been more perfect. As we were visiting from Illinois with our 15 year old daughter. The teens and young adults of this church were nothing more than motivating, inspiring, kind and happy! You could feel the love of God surrounding us. Thanks again for a wonderful Sunday morning. We look forward to visiting again.

Today was my first bribe visiting Harris Creek. I walked in humble by myself not knowing anyone. Will you please forgive me for............

Found this church about 2 months ago after being invited to visit by a family we met volunteering at the Iron Man race. So, glad we found First Woodway! What an amazing church! We have been members since 2005 and absolutely love it. There are many opportunities for you to be fed spiritually and to serve – sermons, worship, serving the community, volunteering in various roles, small groups, fellowships and more. Come join us as soon as you can. We need you! When you get here, catch a ride to the entrance with our golf cart drivers. If you have children, we have many opportunities for them and plenty of new friends they can make. Come early, grab some coffee and mingle with us! Stop by the welcome center and let us know you are visiting. After the service, feel free to go meet the church staff at the front of the sanctuary. Don’t forget to fill out a visitor card. We would love to get in touch with you to see how we can serve you.

I have been a part of this church for most of my life. It is relevant to all ages and focuses on the life application of Biblical principles. The programs are terrific for kids and youth. The college and young adults have authentic and active communities. The established adults provide wisdom and perspective to anyone who will take the time. It seems big to visit, but truly the people here love God and love each other. There are no strangers here.

This family of faith is my family. Sound teaching, worship that is authentic fellowship that uplifts, encourages and offers accountability. Programs that expose this family to Biblical truth and provide community. Not perfect people, but perfect opportunity to pursue good, good church fellowship and meet the Savior who pursues us. I love my church.

Church
The First Baptist Church of Waco, established in 1851, has a rich history and has experienced significant growth since its inception. The church's mission is to foster love for God, one another, and the world in the spirit of Christ. They believe that everyone has the ability to learn about Jesus and His teachings. The church building itself is a beautiful historical structure affiliated with the Southern Baptist denomination.
Just a gorgeous historical church building. I think it is Southern Baptist affiliated. Covid has everything weird so we arrived for Sunday School and had trouble finding the open door and anyone to direct us, but we asked someone and everyone was nice and welcoming. Sunday school teacher was knowledgeable, and lesson was from a Sunday school manual. My daughter had a grad/young professional class that I appreciated. It was Palm Sunday, so some special music and presentation by the children. Sermon was fine. Music was good. I appreciated the more traditional feel, even when they sang a contemporary song. There were drums and electric instruments, but it wasn't "rock-y". Organ is impressive. Dress was mix of "Sunday best" (that I'm used to), business casual (ladies in slacks), and casual. Awkward that some choir and orchestra members were dressed down. Colorful converse high tops on stage is not a good look. It looked more like a rehearsal than a special performance. Not trying to be judgemental but if you went to a symphony or any high school music performance, there is a dress standard. Small congregation for a large church, but again...covid. masking and social distancing was practiced for those who car. Parking was easy.

A beautiful Baptist church in downtown Waco, the congregation here dates back to when the church was organized in 1851. There is a historical marker in front. It reads, "Organized in 1851 by the Rev. Noah Byars and four charter members, the First Baptist Church of Waco worshiped in the meetinghouse of the First Methodist Church until their own sanctuary was built at fourth and Mary Streets in 1857. It was destroyed by fire in 1877 and was replace by a larger building. The present house of worship was erected on this site in 1907. "Historic figures affiliated with First Baptist Church have included five generals of the Confederacy, former Governor of Texas Pat M. Neff, and Dr. B. M. Carroll, pastor from 1871 to 1899 and later founder of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. Dr. J. M. Dawson, pastor from 1915 to 1946, resigned to become the first executive director of the Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs, Washington, D. C. "From 1886, when Baylor University moved to Waco from Independence, Texas, the University and First Baptist Church have enjoyed close association. Every Baylor president since 1886 has maintained active membership here. Many of the faculty, administration and student body of Baylor University traditionally have provided vital links in the fellowship. "Several Baptist churches in Waco owe their origins to former members of this congregation." It is marker number 1681 and it was erected in 1981 by the Texas Historical Commission.

New to Waco out each Wednesday/Sundays trying to find church home. Tried to visit Waco First Baptist for Wednesday service as they list on their website. Mid-week Bible study 6 to 7pm in fellowship hall. after arriving on campus, found the signs showing where each building was located. Found the direction to fellowship hall and ended up walking down a breeze way. Got to the doors, they were locked and no one in sight. backed tracked and was able to find another walk around to a different set of doors---locked. Other doors were labeled exit only--alarm will sound. most doors had some key card/number entry to get in. No one walking on campus to welcome anyone. No sign or directions on how to get into the building so missed bible study. wanted to try A Sunday service but idk if i will make the effort. . Might not be able to get in. seems to me First Waco...if you have bible studies or other activities listed on your website and your say when and where but a person shows up and they cant get --might need to reconsider that.

The pastor Matt is super friendly and welcoming and gets along with everyone. He is a great preacher, both engaging and funny AND biblical. The people here might be dressed up, and yes they are singing old baptist hymns, but they are also really down to earth and friendly. If you need to find a place where you can make friends and belong to a real church family of solid Christians, this is home for you.

I've joined this church since my freshmen year at Waco. I've made many friends there and they all play major role of my life as college student. All members are nice people that they treat every student like their family member. Beside regular church service, there are also other activities like winter retreat and mission trip to Mississippi for student to enhance their spiritual life and friendship. Sunday is great day for student because they provide free breakfast and dinner. This is a great place for those who want fellowship and develop their Christian faith.

I really hate to give it one star to a Baptist Church. I was in Waco visiting family, my wife and I stopped in because we always wanted to visit. The architecture is beautiful, the music was pretty good. We were not terribly impressed with the message. It felt like the preacher had picked a one-word topic, and then cherry picked out of context verses to support it. But the clincher was that other than the gentleman who open the door for us and said good morning, not a single other person in the church said hello, how are you doing, haven’t seen you before, anything. Not even during the few minutes where the preacher specifically said everybody stand and greet your neighbors. I suspect it’s because I wasn’t in a suit and tie and my wife was wearing and I love Jesus T-shirt. I just left a bad taste in our mouth about the perceived culture of the church.

Carver Park Baptist Church is a vibrant community that truly embodies the spirit of fellowship and faith. Recently, it hosted an engaging Q&A session featuring Marlon Jones, a candidate for the Waco Independent School District school board, showcasing its commitment to local issues. Visitors often rave about the warm atmosphere created by Pastor Foreman and his wife, who are known for their friendliness and welcoming nature.
I really enjoyed my visit to Carver Park Baptist Church. My college classmate Rolonda Whitney now Burns, was married on this day. The pastor and wife are very friendly individual's. A very beautiful Church. And knowing the pastor if I were living in Waco Texas that will probably be my church home because you can feel the spirit in the atmosphere he is a man God.

Never been here before. Came in because a friend attends this church. The church members are constantly asking you where are you going what are you doing or who are you with. Not sure why. But they could loosen up and be a bit more welcoming.

Columbus Avenue Baptist Church (CABC) is a vibrant community that welcomes individuals from all walks of life, fostering an inclusive atmosphere. Many members cherish the strong connections they've formed here, appreciating the church's exceptional children's ministry and engaging programs for teens and adults. The pastors at CABC are highly regarded for their ability to present biblical teachings in a relatable manner, making it easy for congregants to apply these lessons in their daily lives.
I hope and pray that all my CABC family is safe and well Spiritually, Mentally, & Physically. I have missed being in the presence of the wonderful people I had met while being there , & all of the amazing friends I have made there. I enjoyed the time I had spent there to the fullest. Not only do they have a great children's' ministry and the best people to work with the children , but they also have a amazing teen and adult ministry. The foreign language classes are also amazing along with their ASL ministry . I have never felt more at home in a church setting then I have while at CABC, I honestly consider this place as my home church . Along with considering the Pastor , his family and the Associate Pastor and his family as my own family , along with many others here.

I spent many of my younger years in this church from 1964 - 1977 until moving away to Arlington, TX after finishing my degree at Baylor. My mom, Mary Frances Hanna, was pastor’s secretary until I was in high school when she went to work for the Baylor Book Store. It was a wonderful family church, and I’m grateful for the years of Biblical teachings and the many friends I made here.

The Greater Waco Early Education Center is a top choice for parents in the area. Children are enthusiastic about attending school, enjoying their time with teachers and friends while coming home with new knowledge every day. The friendly and attentive staff ensure that children are not only safe but also happy and well-cared for. The facility stands out for its indoor gym, covered outdoor playground on soft turf grass, cleanliness, organization, and security measures such as cameras.
I think my favorite thing, amongst so many others, is that the staff is so personable and makes us feel so welcomed and comfortable every day. I fully trust that my daughter is in great hands and well taken care of. Thank you to all the ladies who have been so kind, helpful and understanding. And to the teachers for the amount of work and heart they put into our children.

My daughter has been attending this daycare since she was 11 months old. In the beginning, everything was great. As she developed and began walking, she moved up to more advanced classrooms, and I was happy with her progress. However, since she turned two, things have taken a serious turn for the worse. She has been bitten multiple times, scratched on her face (including near her eye), and even came home with a bruise on the side of her face. I understand that kids will be kids and accidents can happen, but the recent incidents have been deeply concerning. On June 6, I received a call informing me that another child had pulled one of my daughter’s braids completely out — this was a braid that was tightly secured to her scalp. When I arrived at the daycare to ask questions, no staff member could tell me what had happened. No one saw anything or could explain it. Now, my daughter is left with a large bald spot on her head, roughly the size of a half-dollar coin. It was so serious that I had to contact the police and initiate a CPS investigation — that’s the only reason I’ve waited until now to leave this review. To make matters worse, my nephew still attends this daycare. On June 18, when my father picked him up, he witnessed a disturbing incident. A young Black girl in his class, wearing her natural hair in an afro, was having her hair pulled repeatedly by another child. Despite the girl’s screams and attempts to get help, the teachers in the room did nothing to stop it. Over time, I’ve had several staff members privately admit that they are overwhelmed and tired of the ongoing issues. They’ve told me the center is severely understaffed, and the student-to-teacher ratio is unmanageable. I’ve voiced my concerns directly to the director and asked that more staff be hired, but nothing has changed. This daycare has gone downhill drastically, and the safety of the children is clearly no longer a priority. I’m heartbroken and angry over what my child and other children have endured. I can’t recommend this facility to anyone until serious changes are made.
Meachia H — Google review
Security/safety issues. Safety measures for active 2 years to not be able to leave the room are not in place. It was my 2 year old's first week there and she was able to leave the classroom unnoticed and made it down the hallway. The janitor there was the one that brought her back to the classroom. Then advised she would be suspended thereafter if it happened again. This was within my child's first week that she has ever attended any type of daycare. They said she was probably looking for me because she was asking for me. It's been months maybe this was corrected.
Shaunta S — Google review
My daughter has attended this daycare since she was 3 months old. Never had issues with any miss communications. Here recently a hardship with transportation started and I advised the daycare there will be days she a little late drop off time is 9am but I typically get here there 9:05-9:20 latest they said it was fine as long as I called in advance the morning of. This has been ongoing since March. Never had any issues. Until today the receptionist stated no she can’t be dropped off now. I advised why? I called and gave notice she said well policy states this… I said I understand but that’s not what we have discussed she has been dropped off after 9am multiple times, she states well we have to have a 24 hour notice, I asked when did that start? Because I have called each morning that she has been late for over 2 weeks. She said well it’s our policy. I have phone recordings, screenshots, text messages of drop off and pick up times. I have the pro-care app. I talked to Ms Ally, Ms Haley, and Ms Kyla. All 3 said different things to me. Then I get back on procare and her check in times have been changed. Although I had already screenshotted the procare app clock in times and have recordings and screenshots to back it up. So I call back again only be be told you can email the director, I’m not comfortable having this conversation. All I was asking is why were her procare times changed in the app for? This is supposed to be a church. They are shady. I’m a full time working mother, I work every single day. And I have to have my child in daycare because of the fact I’m single. Im just in a season where I’m having to buy a new car. So she’s been late a few times and they have okay it. But all of a sudden it’s changed. But I’m glad I have emails, screenshots, recordings, and documentation. I hope they can be honest and upfront in the future about things. And get on one accord with communication. Also forgot to mention when I asked her why was pro-care updated to different times she stated “I don’t have access to procare” I then refreshed her memory and said yes you do you have changed pick up and drop off information in your system in front of me while I’m standing there. Then ms Haley says “I’m sorry I didn’t mean that I meant I didn’t change it today” She provided me with the directors email but refused to answer any other questions because I advised her I can play recordings back and screenshot the information. I pray that there darkness comes to THE LIGHT! Being shady and dishonest is definitely not what the Bible teaches. They want honesty and consistency from the parents, hypocrites because they aren’t honest or direct on there end. Definitely will be switching soon. I pray and hope one day there families don’t experience what they put me through. Update : The Director called me yesterday to advise me that she was concerned with how her staff was treated. I advised NO ONE was yelled at, cussed at, or screamed at. I wasn’t even there in person it was an over the phone conversation. I advised her I could PLAY back the recordings for her staff so that’s why they got upset by my questions I also have PROOF that they updated her times of check in, in the app. The director DECLINED on answering any of my questions. Her response was “you should of emailed me, you were provided with my email address and didn’t email me” I advised the DIRECTOR I was late to work due to not being able to drop her off while in route so I was waiting till lunch break to do so! She advised my daughter was no longer allowed to attend . Then she says well she declining on answering any questions for me. I then advised her I understand wanting to back up your staff but wrong is wrong. My daughters check in times where change and I have the proof! (so basically they kicked my daughter out because they were caught in their LIE. Ms Ally, Ms Hayley, Ms Angela and Receptionist. Thankfully our legal team has been helpful so I look forward to the contact in the future to see accountability. I hope there PASTOR holds them accountable before then ☺️

I genuinely cannot imagine a better facility for my children to attend. They get excited to go to school every day and seem to love their teachers and friends. They come home with new information every day and are learning so fast. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming each day, and they are fantastic about keeping me updated. I feel confident that my children are not only in good hands each day, but are safe, happy and being molded by genuine and kind people who care deeply about what they do. The facility is always very clean and smells nice and is clearly well-maintained. The director, Amanda, is fantastic and always very friendly. The enrollment coordinator, Marley, is fantastic not only at the “paper” side of it but also with the kids, and greets us with a smile everyday. And countless teachers, support staff, etc know my kids by name and seem to genuinely love the work they do. I am so thankful that my kids are in such good hands. Thank you endlessly, Greater Waco, for all that you do for the next generation!!! ❤️

Since moving to Waco from Houston we toured several daycare facilities but so far this was the best choice I love the fact that they have a indoor gym and outdoor playground that is covered and on soft turf grass that was a big PLUS for me and it seems to be a very clean environment and well organized we also love that this facility has cameras , and the ppl in the front are always so welcoming!!! 🩷 Although our daughter has only been there for 3 weeks we hope she continues to learn alot and thrives in this new space always from us her parents 🩷

I'm not being biased because my wife works here but both my kids go here and love it. The teachers in my son's room (the infant room) are always on top of stuff and are quick to let me know when things are needed. My daughter is in room the older 2 year old class and loves it she is always talking about friends. They are also very good with communication, they also we're very concerned when my daughter was out from being sick for a few days. Overall the staff is great and kids are happy.

Mission Waco is a remarkable organization dedicated to uplifting the poor and marginalized through Christian-based, holistic programs that focus on building relationships. Their mission goes beyond mere assistance; they aim to empower individuals and mobilize middle-class Americans to engage compassionately with those in need. By addressing systemic social injustices, Mission Waco encourages churches to play an active role in restoring dignity and purpose within low-income communities. The impact of their work is profound, as evidenced by personal stories of transformation.
Mission Waco is the most Christ-like and Christ following organization I have ever encountered.

The arc apartments (mission waco)are a joke. The people who live there have nowhere else to go and they feel they can take advantage of that. My aunt lived there for a number of years, they took complete advantage of a handicap woman who had no where else to go. they allowed maintenance to enter her apart. with no notice. (Maintenance being just another resident who fixes things ~not an actual vetted employee). The manager overstepped bounds threatening to kick her out despite her having a signed contract. They constantly raised rent without notice or without re-signing a contract, they made her do yard work despite her being in a wheelchair. Then they kept promising her they would assist in making her apt. wheel chair compliant but when she was in the hospital they turned around & told the social worker they never said that and they could not do that, so she would have to leave. Waco Housing Authority definitely needs to look into this place.

I let my daughter do the youth job training over the summer thinking she was going to get some good experience on her first job. But she had the worst experience a teenager could have on there first job. Goodwill made her work 10 hours more. Almost 3 months later Mission Waco leaves a message to say "Mission Waco and Goodwill can not pay her do to no funds. It took almost 3 months just to find out she will not get paid. 10 hours is not much but for a teenager who was so excited to work for the first time is heartbreaking. Central Faith Child Development Center, Inc. is a non-profit Christian childcare facility that provides nurturing programs for infants, toddlers, and PreK children. Utilizing the Frog Street Press curriculum, this center focuses on essential academic topics while fostering a warm and welcoming environment. Families have shared their positive experiences since 2018, praising the beautiful facility and dedicated staff who treat each child like family. With a low teacher-to-student ratio, children receive personalized attention that enhances their learning experience.
We were new to the area and chose Central Faith for their beautiful facility and welcoming staff. From the start, we were impressed, but we wanted to see how our daughter felt before making any real judgments. We are thrilled to say they have exceeded our expectations! The teachers are amazing and treat our daughter like family; she’s always happy at drop-off and pick-up. The staff genuinely cares about each child and are able to create a nurturing environment thanks to a low teacher-to-student ratio. The owner and admin team are equally caring and approachable, and the excellent security gives us peace of mind. They regularly organize fun experiences for the children, like bringing petting zoos to the school and hosting special events for parents during holidays. Finding a place where our daughter feels comfortable and happy is incredibly important to us. This is where she will make some of her earliest memories, and we want them to be positive. As a working parent, there is nothing more valuable than knowing your child is in good hands. We are so thankful to have found Central Faith and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a loving and supportive environment for their children!

We love Central Faith Child Development Center! They are a great for our 2 girls. The updates we received throughout the day through the app they use is just fantastic. My wife can rest easy knowing our little girl is doing great. They send pictures and notate every detail imaginable throughout the day. The staff is great. They always have very open communication. No question goes unanswered. I should also mention the variety of healthy food they serve at breakfast and lunch for their students goes unmatched elsewhere. Their education system for their pre K class is fantastic as well. Each day it seems like my daughter has learned several new things and she’s excited to share with me what she did with her friends (the entire class) and what she learned.

I have too much to say about Central Faith, as our family was part of their center for over four years; however, I will provide the gist of my assessment. The lead teachers are awesome and truly care for the children. Their nutrition program is exceptional, and their curriculum is wonderful. My older child could recite the pledge, numbers, ABCs, and several different prayers. The management, however, is not so great and thus the reason for my 1-star review. Things run smoothly until you raise a question or have a concern, and then the answer you receive will change by the day. For example, the directors themselves and both current and former staff members have repeatedly told parents that there are Blink cameras in each of the classrooms. When I asked the management about them, I was told they are only for entry points to the building. When I asked to see camera footage, one time I was told the cameras conveniently don’t start recording until 9:00 (and the event happened right before that), and the other time I was told they don’t record in the classroom at all (only the hallways). I was also told incident reports are what is in the app that they have parents install on our phones (which is a notification of the incident, how it was treated, etc). The next day, I was told “we don’t do incident reports anymore unless the child goes to the hospital.” In my whole four years there, I never once signed an actual incident report, and in fact, once my child was being bitten repeatedly, unprovoked, I stopped receiving notices at all, and when I would ask about it, I would never get a clear answer, and they admitted they weren’t sure which teacher was even in the room when it happened. My son was bitten over a dozen times, and I tried to be understanding, but they repeatedly told me even though the behavior was unprovoked, it was completely normal and was a work in progress, even blaming my son and saying he was immature for his age. The bites were often on his back indicating that he was turning away when they happened. When I withdrew him, they started to leave out my older child from class photos and videos to the point where it was blatant and obvious that he was being singled out. I asked why he was separated from his class and never received an answer. When I withdrew him, they refused to release his vision and hearing results to me. When I asked our child's PCP's office about whether they had access (as CF claimed), they did not; they found one statement saying our child was not cooperative with the screenings and there was no record. However, we were told by CF at the time the screenings were held that they DID obtain them, and "he passed" both of them. There was a time when I would have given Central Faith Child Development Center five stars, but now, I cannot. Like all businesses, credibility and reputation begin at the TOP, and our trust of the directors is now totally destroyed. I do not recommend.

This is one of the oldest churches in Waco very very nice congregation my father was a member there for the number years and the respect and honor that they gave my father at his passing and funeral I truly appreciate it Father Ray you were outstanding no my dad was looking from Heaven smiling period. But if you are looking for a church that will with open arms except you and love you as one of their own this is the church to go to I guess I'm only saying that cuz I was pretty much raised in that church but still the people are good love the people

St. Paul's is a welcoming and inclusive community that focuses on celebrating people's diversity rather than insisting upon agreement. The church offers a variety of worship services for different tastes during the week and on Sundays. There are always interesting guest speakers, Sunday breakfast between the services, and great programs for children and youths.

We enjoy the more traditional 8:45 Service. It’s a mix of younger and older Christians. The Pastors are very loving and we will certainly be back. We have also watched online several times. ❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely love We Grow the Co! Jillian did such an absolutely amazing job with the web design for my business. As a local business who is new in the industry I was so worried about being able to afford a website that not only explained who I was and what I did but was also able to schedule and take payments for me. Jillian was able to not only deliver that but she also worked a payment plan out with me to get me where I needed. I would recommend this business day in and out. If you are a local business in need of a 5 star website and marketing plan you are in fantastic hands with We grow the Co!

Pastor Cari teaches directly out of the Bible. I have never seen a Pastor that I could actually see what he was Preaching, after watching the Chosen then going to Church Pastor Cari preaches and you can imagine and see it in your mind EXACTLY what he's Preaching. Also the children's classes are wonderful. My granddaughters and daughter n law helped with Vacation Bible school while my other grandkids attended they ABSOLUTELY loved it. We have only been attending the church for about 6 months this is our home now

I've been apart of this body of Christ for going on about 18 yrs?? In that time I have experience God's love in so many different ways. There are plenty of opportunities to serve God and others both here and in our community. You can find something here for everyone in your family. If you are looking to belong to a family this is the place. Pastor Cary preaches God's Word in a fun but real way. He doesn't water down the Gospel or tell you only what you want to hear but preaches the truth. He is down to earth and real. The rest of the staff is incredible, also. I could go on and on but it's better if you just experience it for yourself. Hope to see you soon!

I love this daycare and the teachers my 2 years teacher and infant teacher are my favorite. 🥰😍. They really have a special place in my heart. I will for sure miss them. But there are some issues about the mornings of parking. Which is not always fun. But other than that I loved it!
Ashley S — Google review
My daughter had to start out only a couple hours each day to get used to being in daycare at a year and a half old but it took a few weeks and she absolutely fell in love with it. I would say "You ready for school?"and she would get excited and beat me to the car door. The class sizes are small, well maintained, and follow an amazing curriculum. I also enrolled my son at 5 weeks and was given an incident report when he scratched his face with his nails one day. They are very attentive and I fell in live with all of the staff the same way my children did. By far the best daycare we've ever attended.
Christianna C — Google review
My son had went there and it was great until they hired someone and my son had a huge bump on his forehead and she said he tripped and fell and she was not going to write a report.. I was upset and told her she needs to write a report and they even lied on the report. The supervisor there was taking sides with the teacher. I report to city. I do not recommend and also the ladies judge moms. I was told by one of the other teachers that she has two kids and she has no problems when I was venting about what’s going on.
Tina S — Google review
From directive staff to teachers everyone is warm and welcoming. I love that my baby never hesitates to stay and loves her teachers. They all have big hearts for what they do and truly care for each child. I wouldn’t have my baby anywhere else, they’re like family to us.

Gather is a charming store located in the downtown area, offering a variety of antiques and distinctive home items. Visitors can explore the streets to discover other notable spots such as Christis Interiors and Simply Irresistible. For fans of HGTV's Fixer Upper, a visit to Magnolia Market is essential for unique home goods. Customers have expressed admiration for Gather's personalized stamped dishes, despite the wait time, emphasizing their beauty.
I recently shopped at Gather and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! I purchased some hand-thrown plates from them several years ago and wanted my new set to match perfectly, with a deep swirl pattern. The team at Gather was incredibly helpful in redoing my plates to get the exact look I was going for. They listened carefully to my request, made sure every detail was just right, and kept me updated throughout the process. Although it took a little while to complete the custom order (as I expected with hand-thrown pieces), the results were absolutely worth the wait. The plates are stunning and look gorgeous on my dinner table—truly works of art! The craftsmanship is top-notch, and I can tell these are high-quality pieces that will last for years. The customer service at Gather is outstanding. They were patient, professional, and genuinely committed to making sure I was happy with the final product. I would highly recommend Gather to anyone looking for beautiful, custom pottery. Their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is second to none!
Gabrielle C — Google review
I bought customized pottery after I watched HGTV Magnolia episode. We consider the plates/bowls an heirloom for our daughter. We utilize them every day. I have bought customized pottery for 3 wedding gifts!
Sherry C — Google review
Be careful ordering anything other than the white plates. I have the white plates and enjoy them. To add to my dishes, I ordered gray. The disclaimer said there might be color variation. I assumed that would mean one plate might vary slightly in color compared to another or the plate might have variations of gray in it. I had no idea the plates would have large drip marks on the front and back. The company is unwilling to refund my money or exchange my plates.
Mickey B — Google review
Love the carefully selected items. The custom pottery is a high finish, and consistent piece-to-piece.

Such a relief as a parent to know that your children are loved and well taken care of when you are not there. Every room has teachers that are a blessing and truly love the children in their classes.

Just found out some terrible stuff about this place in one of my mom groups. Apparently you denied a child that approved because he has two mothers. Then another lady that applied for a job there said that she was told to lie about living with her boyfriend because they weren’t married! Let me tell you something! When you choose to run a business in general you separate your religious beliefs from the business! You do not do this! Whoever your employees live with are none of your business & the romantic relationships your student’s parent’s have are none of your business either! Everything I just read about your establishment ought to be illegal! What you’re doing is discrimination! This place needs to be shut down! 😡

More people calling themselves CHRISTIANS and not acting like it. You treated this little girl like she was a disease or something. With dedicated teachers who embody the teachings of God and Jesus, children experience daily lessons infused with faith. Although relatively new, the administrator brings years of expertise in child development, ensuring a safe environment where discipline is applied thoughtfully without blame or panic during typical behavioral phases.
I love this facility. While still relatively new, the administrator has been in child development and care for years, and it shows. They do not just teach Christian curriculum, they live it in the way they treat the children. They still apply firm discipline as needed, but they do not bend, break, freak out, or point fingers to parents when the child goes through normal behavioral phases. The cost is also below average for the area, which is just a plus, but I personally would pay more.
