1Nashville Coop

Chicken restaurant
Nashville Coop is a Minneapolis hotspot that offers a unique twist on Nashville-style hot chicken. Founded by brothers Arif and Kamal Mohamed, the restaurant infuses their mother's homemade Ethiopian spice blend into their dishes. The menu features extra-long and powerfully hot tenders served with cooling sauce and slaw to balance out the heat.
Incredible flavor and heat, if you want hot chicken this is the place to go. Support a local restuarant instead of Canes.
Chris V — Google review
Think of Nashville Coop as a slightly higher end, local version of a fast-food chicken restaurant with an ethnic spice twist. The restaurant offers a simple menu served out of an immaculate fast casual chicken shop front. Generally, chicken tenders with the customer’s choice of rub (from mild to extremely spicy) served with Texas Toast, Coleslaw, and French Fries based on the meal, alongside a signature sauce. My mini coop (mild) Texas toast chicken tender meal came with all the fixings mentioned above, stacked tightly in a small basket. The Coleslaw tasted a little old but had a nice and springy crunch. The Texas Toast on the other hand was soft, scrumptious, and slathered in a rich layer of butter. The chicken itself was delicious, but a little dry. I also felt as if the rub was a bit too thick, grainy, and salty. The bed of French Fries provided a tasteful base to the meal alongside its tangy signature sauce. Taken altogether, the large portion was more than filling and provides enough for two meals. Though slightly more expensive than an ordinary fast food chicken shop, the large portion, quality food, and twist on a classic, provided by Nashville Coop make it a good option for those looking for a bit of a treat. A word to the wise: Its busier than you think. A large portion of this restaurant’s orders are pickups, and the line is longer than empty shop suggests.
Avik M — Google review
Nashville Coop has great chicken with amazing seasoning. The chicken is always very juicy and has not overwhelming breading. The size of each piece of chicken is very satisfactory and offers a filling meal. The french fries are some of my favorites. Each meal comes with two sauce containers that are incredible. It is a creamy sauce that adds to the chicken or fries instead of taking away from the flavor. There is a variety of spice levels to select. You can purchase tenders, a sandwich, or a Texas toast meal. They also have sides of coleslaw and macaroni and cheese. In a separate occasion, I had the macaroni and cheese and didn't enjoy it much. It was very thick and bready and did not have a strong cheesy flavor.
Andrew A — Google review
The chicken tender basket is a pretty good deal because you get 3 huge tenders and fries and a fountain drink for about $14, but the quality of the food isn't amazing. There isn't much flavor on the chicken, its just covered in cayenne pepper to give it heat. Like imagine eating wings where they're really spicy but don't taste particularly great. And the fries sometimes taste like they've been fried in dirty oil. The interior of the restaurant is the biggest downside, as the tables are usually covered in crumbs and grease/soda spots. The floor is always sticky. Also the food takes longer than expected to prepare even though it's just chicken tenders and fries.
Hagan L — Google review
My favorite chicken sandwich place in campus, chicken was excellently cooked and seasoned, the sauce was great. However the buns were alright and maybe a different one would be good. Overall pretty solid and it’s halal!
Salman ( — Google review
Stopped by Nashville Coop before a Gophers game. The Texas Toast meal, at coop heat level, is my go to, with toast, chicken tenders, pickles, slaw, fries, and dipping sauce. Good heat on the chicken and the slaw helps cleanse your palate if you need it. I also ordered the mac and cheese. A very creamy mac and it was delicious! Great food, fast service, and a convenient location for all Gophers events!
Onyedimma N — Google review
Their Chicken strips are delicious and note that their spice levels are Legit! Growlin spice level had me sweating, but it was worth it. Best chicken tenders that I have had in a long time. Usually I don't eat fries, but I tried it here because it was part of the meal and they were not very crispy. However, it had great flavor. I highly recommend this chain!
A K — Google review
Actually spicy chicken! I have continually been disappointed by the inaccurate spice level ratings in the twin cities but I'd say that the scale here is pretty accurate. I got the second from the hottest and it actually had a pretty good kick of spice. The chicken was cooked well- crispy coating on the outside, juicy meat on the inside. The fries were seasoned and the sauce that came with it was pretty good, zesty and creamy. Fries portions are generous. The combo is a little on the pricey side but does come with a drink, so I guess that puts it on par with other dining options around campus.

Vegan restaurant
Restaurant
Herbie Butcher's Fried Chicken is a laid-back eatery that offers vegan fried-chicken buckets, sandwiches, and shakes in a cozy setting. Despite being plant-based, their chicken options are crispy and delicious, making them a hit even among non-vegans. The restaurant offers buckets of chicken in various sizes with a range of sauce options and tasty sides. It has gained popularity for catering to diverse dietary preferences, making it suitable for family events.
I’ve been craving fried chicken for a minute!!! This was even better!!!! Oh my goodness. Just want I needed!!! This chicken, biscuits and mashed potatoes with gravy was the best!!!! I got a chocolate shake with peanut butter!!! Yummy!!!
Teresa C — Google review
The chicken is REALLY that good! Stopped in on a Friday Eve to try the place out for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. For $20 with tip, two people can have a filling meal. I'm an omnivore and my wife is meat free. It was nice that we could both go somewhere and just order whatever and still share. I let the guy behind the counter know (really nice btw) that it was our first time and he recommended the two piece bucket. We got honey mustard as the dipping sauce and mashed potatoes as the side. Our order was out in less than 5 minutes. The gravy on the mash was incredible and the maple "butter" was just perfect for the biscuit. The chicken and tots were crispy and hot. I caught myself wondering why I'd even need to bother eating real chicken again. The chicken is that good!!
Matthew B — Google review
Just do it, don’t consider anywhere else for lunch/dinner…just go. Herbies chicken is by far, hands down, no questions asked, the BEST vegan chicken I have ever had. There is no feeling like ordering a BUCKET of chicken with ranch and just chowing down! The flavor was perfect, and the level of crunch can’t be beat. The sides complimented the chicken very well too. Only issue is the inside seating is a little squishy, but with some chicken to eat, who cares.
A.J. — Google review
Vegan fried chicken?? Yes!! I’m glad I got to go here, I haven’t had fried chicken quite like this since going vegan. Great flavor and texture. The 3 piece bucket was great and came with tots and a biscuit. The biscuit and vegan honey butter were superb. I also really liked the BBQ and Ranch sauces. It reminds me of when I used to eat at KFC back in the day. We also got their new fried mozzarella sticks, but they were just okay. The cheese is more gooey than stringy, and are a bit pricey for what they are. The chicken sandwiches were also very good and the sauces on those were very good. Perfect for a vegan chicken craving. The staff was also very nice.
Nick K — Google review
Great vegan milk shakes (I recommend the monster cookie). The chicken tenders and hot Buffalo chicken sandwich with tater tots were delicious. The place inside is small so not a lot of seating. Great for take out. Reminds me of a vegan kfc.
Faith — Google review
Glad I tried this place out. If your in need of vegan food or just want to try something different then this is definitely a place to try. Service was nice and informative. Biscuit was good but the butter was lackluster for being an additional charge. The bowl was pretty filling but you have to pay extra for the toppings which I think it needed for that extra finesse (my extra jalapenos literally had little no spice)
Bayo ( — Google review
My partner and I were truly blown away by our experience today! When we arrived at 11:30 am, we saw a line of eager customers stretching down the block. Clearly this was the place to be on a Sunday afternoon. After an extensive wait (1.5 hours), we had malts in our hands and a paper bag full of chicken, mac and cheese, tater tots, and sauces. The contents of the bag smelled positively heavenly, and we could barely wait to get home to voraciously consume them. We drank the chocolate malt in the car, and we couldn’t get enough of its creamy and decadent texture, along with its coconut-y flavor. When we arrived at home, we immediately dug in. The mac and cheese was sublime— creamy, slightly tangy, and throughly satisfying. The tots were crispy and had a slight kick of spice. The sauces (we chose honey mustard and butcher sauce) were flavorful and so creamy. We couldn’t believe they didn’t contain dairy. Finally, the chicken was the star of the show— perfectly seasoned, extra crunchy, chewy, and juicy. We loved everything and are already planning a followup trip for chicken sandwiches and perhaps a strawberry malt and biscuit.
Shannon M — Google review
Get your all-vegan fried chicken meal hear. Everything from the mains to the sides is recreated without animal products. They even made the chicken into different shapes to match the different cuts. The meat was tender, and the breading was crispy. If you get the macaroni and cheese, I recommend adding the extra crispies. The malts were also a good addition. If you are not vegan and like fried chicken, give this a try. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Southern restaurant (US)
Revival MPLS is a popular restaurant known for serving classic Southern comfort foods in a relaxed setting. The menu features Chef Thomas Boemer's renowned fried chicken, along with a delicious cheeseburger and various sandwiches. Sides like greens, grits, and mashed potatoes are also available. In addition to the signature dishes, the restaurant offers gluten-free options and standout sides like white cheddar grits. Revival has expanded from its original location on Eat Street in Minneapolis to include additional locations in St.
Food was perfect. Everything was cooked to perfection and had a subtle uniqueness to it. Staff were also friendly. Also the first time I got to try fried green tomatoes and they were really good.
Selena L — Google review
I am convinced that the good reviews are paid Ad. I felt nauseous half way through eating the fried green tomatoes. The Brisket sammy was disgusting. I couldn’t eat it. The sauce tasted like simple syrup, no hint of smoked barbecue sauce. And there was waay too much cheese on it, plus sweet pickles. Ugh. Fried Chicken sandwich was just alright. Service was good, but 0 star for the food.
Shiva J — Google review
There is a 6.5% Service fee. I had the classic breakfast and upgraded toast for a biscuit with honey butter for $1 more. Fried green tomatoes were too salty. I will not order them again. I had planned to drink water but didn’t like it so I ordered an Arnie Palmer (free refills). My eggs were cooked perfectly, just the way I like them. The service was excellent and it wasn’t too busy for a Sunday afternoon. I can definitely see myself coming here for brunch regularly.
TJ T — Google review
A Southern-Style Restaurant Recommended by Locals Order: Deep-Fried Chicken Tenders The server recommended pairing it with their Sweet Potato Hot Sauce. The sweet potato flavor really shines, and the heat packs a punch! But beware—it’s not for the faint of heart. If you're sensitive to spice, you might find yourself sweating... or even with a nosebleed! 👃🏼
GSTonyTseng — Google review
Way back in 2017 or 2018, my partner and I have visited Revival and had a terrible experience. With all the raving comments about Revival around us, we decided to give it another chance, and it was the right decision. Back then, we had fried chicken liver, which turned out to contain more breading than liver. That was not an issue this time. The liver was not on the menu, but we ordered the double-dipped tenders, the chicken dinner plate with collard greens, mustard slaw, and white cheddar grits, fried green tomatoes, and the hush puppies. The fried chicken was juicy and tasty! The fried green tomatoes were probably the best that I have tasted from any restaurant so far! The white cheddar grits was also a great side. The hush puppies tasted good, but it differed from the traditional southern hush puppies a little bit. The collard greens had too much sugar, which resulted in a sweeter taste that overpowered the original taste, and the mustard slaw was a bit plain. But overall, the food was still excellent! Then in another occasion, we came back for brunch, and ordered the chicken sandwich, a chicken and gravy biscuit, and both desserts: blueberry cheesecake and banana cream pie, and everything was a hit! The chicken sandwich was out of this world! The chicken was crunchy, juicy, and very well-seasoned! The gravy was so good, that I ended up dipping some additional butter biscuits in it. And both desserts are worth trying! The banana cream pie tasted like banana pudding. Just make sure you scoop all the way to the end and start eating from the bottom, because otherwise you will feel like the whipping cream is dominant. The blueberry cheesecake tastes even better when you dip the cheesecake in the syrup / juice, so please ensure you do so! Another major advantage about Revival is that they are very affordable for a restaurant that has some factors of fanciness in it. Nowadays it is easy to find a place that looks like Revival with an entrée above $25 easily, but Revival is still on the economical side, so I appreciate it a lot! If you are looking for some good northern soul food, you should give this place a try!
Jay S — Google review
Revival in Minneapolis is a must-visit for comfort food lovers. Their fried chicken sandwich is crispy, juicy, and downright amazing, while the hush puppies are so delicious they’re practically a foodie's dream. With a cozy atmosphere and mouthwatering dishes, Revival Storing delivers a dining experience that's both satisfying and unforgettable. If you're in Minneapolis, don't miss out on this spot for a seriously tasty meal!
Jen B — Google review
Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Crispy, full of flavor, buttery. We got both the southern style and the Tennessee hot. Tennessee hot is really spicy and will get you sweating. Recommend their side of pickles and ranch. Decent patio size area and service was good.
Sahar C — Google review
The chicken and waffles here are absolutely amazing! Definitely worth the wait since everything is made fresh, and fried to perfection. The chicken was so juicy and spicy (Tennessee Hot chicken). I LOVE spicy foods! This one had a great balance of sweet-spicy since it was on a waffle and I asked for extra maple syrup. 😋 Cajun cheese curds weren’t very spicy, but had a great Cajun taste. Sweet potatoes tasted just like mom used to make, but fancy with the torched marshmallow on top! I loved the food and atmosphere of this place! We visited on a Sunday afternoon when it wasn’t busy. A couple other times we’ve tried but there was an hour and a half wait time, and no reservations are accepted here. Kind of a downside, but also a good thing to follow first come, first served since it’s not a very large restaurant. It’s very intimate.

Mama Sheila's House of Soul is a newly opened buffet in the city that offers a variety of African American dishes and pays homage to Black music history with its decor. The buffet features hard-to-find items like smothered chicken, candied yams, and black-eyed peas. Additionally, they offer rotating surprises such as Sunday jazz brunch. Their menu includes deep-fried chicken wings and jerk chicken alongside lighter options like cabbage and greens.
I’m talking about a whole vibe… come catch it✨✨✨ the food was amazing, exactly what I was looking for and they definitely delivered.. the atmosphere though ….. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 to the aesthetics, the music, and the welcoming environment from the staff. A WHOLE SOUL VIBE.. go check this place out now. Like right now😍😍

My first visit was great. The two ladies working were super nice. I had to wait a bit which wasn’t a problem and their politeness made it easier to wait. My second time not so much. They were out of something I wanted which is fine but the person serving the food did not provide good service. I’m unsure if me having a quiet voice is what caused their demeanor to change or if it was something else but for that I’m not coming back.

Excellent experience and food was 10/10 Quay and Tara helped served our party of 12 with kindness and openness and they both had great energy I’ll definitely be back … So much culture in this atmosphere and history

I am visiting from Oklahoma and this food was FIRE! OMG amazing food. I like the buffet style that they serve. The staff is so nice and very attentive. A must try! I will be back

This is an awesome place. The food is set up similarly to a buffet but you do not serve yourself. It reassured me that kids sticky fingers were not in it. You pay by the pound for your plate of food. Everything was really fresh and flavorful. There are posters/informational walls on the black community. would recommend.
Rebecca N — Google review
The people that helped us were extremely nice and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious and pretty fresh. We came during an odd time and still got fresh food and kind servers. My dad says this is the closest he's gotten to true southern soul food he remembers from his childhood in a very long time. We will definitely be back when we're in the neighborhood. The atmosphere was relaxed and the music choice was totally cool.

Pay per weight buffet of a variety of awesome dishes. The food and the entire place feels authentic AF ❤️ Payed about $20 for a very solid plate of food incl a Pepsi 💵 The food was great. I was so hungry I was literally shaking, but I'm quite sure I'm always capable of telling good from bad - and this was good 😋 All in all a great lunch experience 👍
Thorbjoern — Google review
The food was delicious if you like your grandmother Sunday dinner get all the family together taste. The lightening inside the dining area was a little bit dark for my liking Also the buffet was separated from the dining area and they had just gotten a new system for the cash register so you had to go to the back to ring food up Also they had one server who was serving food and they only let one person in that back area one at a time.

Bar
Restaurant
Nestled near the scenic Minnehaha Falls, Bull's Horn Food and Drink is a charming American eatery that exudes vintage vibes while serving up classic bar fare. Recently revitalized by renowned chef Doug Flicker, this local gem pays homage to its roots dating back to 1935. The menu features mouthwatering options like perfectly fried chicken gizzards, pizza burgers, and unique dishes such as dill pickle fried chicken.
Bulls Horn is the best kind of neighborhood bar. Unassuming from the outside, but punches way above its weight class. The food is some of the best in the city. The fried chicken is dill pickle brined and fries to perfection. The house made fried bologna and cheese is just about perfect. The real winner though, are the smash burgers. It's one of the best smash burgers I've ever heard. Crispy edges, melty house made American cheese and super crispy bacon. The perfect balance of greasy, meaty, salty and melty. They only have a handful of taps but they always have good local breweries on tap. They always have pull tabs and have a Meat Raffle on Wednesday. Well worth bringing cash to play and coming home with a nice roast.

Bull’s Horn is all of what’s in a dive bar/restaurant. Unassuming and underrated, they have delicious food, great and no nonsense service and a dive bar vibe that Minneapolis needs more of. Do yourself a favor and try these guys out, you’ll be happy you did!
Brian O — Google review
Shout out to Tracey our server, and staff on 8/2. This is one of thee best "dive bars" I've ever been to. On point service, food, atmosphere, and price point. Tracey was great. And I misspoke about one of the sauces I ordered and she had my preferred sauce to me in seconds. All food came out fast and hot. I had thee. best. hand breaded chicken tenders(shown in review photo-zoom in recommended). Sauce choices I saw: Bbq, buffalo, Alabama white(white bbq), ranch, and blue cheese. Alabama white sauce is worth trying. The sauces seem homemade. The mac and cheese is the dirty date you're looking for. I force fed everyone at my table a bite of the mac. No complaints. The chicken wings, cheese curds, and sandwiches at my table were thoroughly enjoyed as well. 👏 ..As Arnold said, "I'llll be bauck."
Dana P — Google review
This place is a novel experience with its willingness to embrace its own uniqueness. From the secret menus to burgers you literally cannot change it has a lot of charm. Although sometimes this lead to things being overly complicated. The food was great and tasty. The cheese curds were absolutely delicious. For a good drink, good burger, or anything in between this place has you covered.
Ben O — Google review
I love the Bullshorn double smash burger! Solid fries and great staff, if it's busy there can be await and gets a little tight in there. Overall good food and quick drinks and almost always funny talking to someone new having a beer. Recommend the burger with a friend!
Daniel G — Google review
This used to be my go-to spot for burgers for years — easily one of the best in the Cities, in my opinion. But the last time I went, the burger was awful. They’ve apparently changed the recipe and now use dehydrated onions instead of those amazing caramelized ones. What a disappointment.
Thom K — Google review
Love this place! Probably best burger and chicken sandwich I've ever tasted. The burger was a bit too salty, but still sooo good! The chicken sandwich was dark meat, which was very surprising and flavorful. The servers were very nice. Everything arrived super fast.
Sheer — Google review
Save your money on the fries not worth the $3.50 upcharge pretty good burger but also extra $2 for cheese and $3 for two pieces of thin bacon and wasn't very filling. Overall average food for the high quality price. Pretty limited drink menu as well. Food arrived quick and outdoor patio was nice and dog friendly.

My friend was craving soul food, so I took her soul bowl spot I discovered a few months ago. This place is incredible the food is absolutely soul-snatching! The manager, Maurice, was amazing. He surprised us with a complimentary dessert and even added a free jerk chicken on top of our order. Everything about this restaurant was perfect. Solid 10/10. The staffs are friendly. If you’re in the neighborhood, definitely check it out.

I tried the Plant-Based Caribe Bowl today and absolutely loved it! 🌱🔥 The flavors were bold and just the right level of hot and spicy — exactly how I like it. The plant-based “chicken” was so well-seasoned and crispy that it tasted just like real chicken. The sweet plantains added the perfect balance to the spice and made the whole bowl feel complete. One of the best bowls I’ve had in a while — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. If anything, I’d love a bit more protein and a little less rice next time, but overall this was a fantastic dish. Definitely coming back for it again! ⸻ Would you like me to make it shorter and more casual (perfect for a quick 1–2 line review) or keep this detailed foodie-style for people looking for specifics before ordering?

We stopped by Soul Bowl and were really impressed the moment we walked in. The space has a great vibe clean, creative, and full of local pride. The "Pride of the Northside" wall, the artwork, and the "Humble Hustle" sign really give it character and make it feel like more than just another restaurant. I ordered the Crab Boil Wings with Fries, and they were full of flavor. The seasoning was on point, and the wings had that perfect mix of crisp and juicy. My wife had the Rasta Pasta, and she loved it creamy, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. I also tried the Queen B Lemonade, which was refreshing and just the right balance of sweet and tart. The staff was friendly, and the service was smooth from start to finish. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do. Between the food, the look, and the energy, Soul Bowl is definitely worth a visit. We'll be back for sure.

I was supposed to try their chicken turkey bacon fries at the Minnesota State Fair, but they were so popular they sold out so I took the $5 off coupon they gave me as collateral & finally decided to check out their new location. The Rasta Pasta & the Wings were phenomenal. Shout out to V3 for dedicating this space to a locally owned Black Business. The owners are solid people. Check em out.

I keep my eye out for Soul Food restaurants in MN and decided to try this place. Got the Caribe Bowl to go. The rice was nice. Chicken was flavorful & juicy. Plantains were a nice contrast. A bit pricey & slow but quality was pretty good. Will go again!

So good for vegan options!!! So delicious I had to force myself to take some home for leftovers. I had the Southern Hospitality(vegan) and I would highly recommend. Also added some mambo sauce which we loved in DC.
Vivian M — Google review
Had the chicken fried beef bacon and the peach cobbler donut at the fair. Used to support Soul Bowl tons when they first opened but this was so disappointing we just took the L and threw away all the food. The donut was dry and hard as hell and the peaches weren’t even that good either. The chicken fried beef bacon was literally soggy, oily batter bits with tiny bits of bacon. Nothing like this photos they’ve been posting. Disappointing and deceiving.

Fried chicken takeaway
If you're a fried chicken enthusiast, Official Fried Chicken is definitely worth checking out! I recently placed an order through their delivery app, and it arrived right on time. While they don't offer a white meat option—which was surprising for a place specializing in fried chicken—I decided to go with the bone-in chicken meal, crispy chicken sandwich, buffalo wings, and mac and cheese instead. The ordering process was seamless; I even received a text when my food was ready.
I ordered the bone in chicken meal, crispy chicken sandwich, buffalo wings, and mac and cheese. Ordering is convenient and you get a text message when the order is ready. The bone in chicken is well seasoned with juicy meat. The fried chicken sandwich was also good and contained OFC sauce and slaw. The buffalo dry rub wings with house buttermilk ranch were my favorite, a winning combination! I enjoyed everything I ordered! OFC is currently located in section 133 inside Target Field. This is my new first option for food when I’m at a Twins game!

The chicken sando looked like a nice fat piece at first opening but was tough almost all the way though, almost should have just threw it away but killed most of it. Maybe the fried chicken pieces are better

I love fried chicken and was excited to try out Official Fried Chicken. I ordered through their delivery app. The order arrived exactly on time. I ordered an 8 piece chicken. I typically only like white meat, but there wasn’t a white meat option which surprises me for a restaurant that only sells fried chicken and fries. I skipped the fries because the reviews on them weren’t so good. If you’re only going to do fries and chicken, your fries should be fresh and homemade like Five Guys, otherwise don’t bother. The flavor is good, and the chicken was moist. I’ve definitely had better fried chicken, and I know that it’s hard to deliver fried food and keep it warm and crispy. So just a half star off for that. This stayed decently warm and decently crispy. My main disappointment was the size of the drumsticks. They were literally as small as what most restaurants sell as wing drummies. That was a surprise because this chicken is not cheap. That being said, they tasted good. But I did knock off a half star for that, definitely not a good value. Overall, I’d probably order again. Or maybe give it a shot picking up once they work out some of the kinks that are mentioned in other reviews.

Unfortunately I am giving a 1 🌟 review tonight, for a number of reasons. Tried to place an order online for pick up and it said it was not taking orders. Drove to the location and placed my order inside. After waiting for an hour I got home and opened my box. There were 6 pieces, I bought a 12 piece. No phone number to call. The amount of fries in the box for $6.50 was a little light. Hopefully I can talk to someone and they make it right.
Cindi B — Google review
Empty waiting area, strictly pickup/delivery. Food was good, but expect wait times to be closer to 45min. Fries are cut in the style of chips, which is different and fun. Food is good, but the unexpected added wait time was unfortunate. Sign up to their email list for free $4 off.

Why did you change your recipe! Used to be crunchy and flavorful! Soggy and bland. Maybe it was cause opening day! Maybe try again.
Rob H — Google review
Got 8 pcs of original for $16.99 plus tax. It was crispy outside & moist inside. It was too salty for my taste. Parking is a bit of a hassle. Only 10 min from order (at location) to pickup. This is a take out only establishment!!! Only side available is fries but we did not try them Also no soft drinks. All in all, chicken was good, but since it is a bit out of our neighborhood we probably won't return often.
Gail J — Google review
*update: this location has closed and moved to downtown mpls Easy ordering and pick up. Food was good, just chicken and fries so you need your own sides/bev if planning to picnic in the area. By the smell it seems like they use peanut oil. I couldn’t find any ingredient listings on their website so call to verify before ordering if you have food allergies.

Ramen restaurant
Zen Box Izakaya is a Japanese comfort food spot with an industrial vibe, offering a variety of dishes like ramen, sashimi, and stir-fry. Unlike Masus which embraces Japanese pop culture, Zen Box Izakaya stays true to the traditional izakaya concept found in Japan where locals gather for food and drinks after work.
The wait was long, but they did the best they can, food was delicious, very good service. Im sad the restaurant will be close soon, whish the owners all the best. I have to come one more time before closing 😅

This was our first trip and it was good. Requested an off the menu cocktail, lychee martini which was delightful. Ramen, while good, lacked umami and spiciness in the broth. Service was excellent, staff was knowledgeable and approachable.

I was visiting from California and I mostly came here because it's located close to the Mill City Museum, where I was heading next. The Saturday lunch menu is very limited; they do not have their full normal menu. I ordered the hiyashi yasai mazemen, which was a seasonal special during my August visit. I don't demand 100% authenticity from a Japanese restaurant in the U.S.; I get that you cater to local tastes and ingredients. But there was not a single thing that felt Japanese about this dish, and worse, it just didn't taste good on any level. I understand that I ordered a cold noodle dish, but grilled vegetables being refrigerator-cold did not feel right. The flavor and consistency of the noodles mixed with the sauce was not good either. And it was expensive: I didn't order drinks or anything else and it was $20 after taxes and before tip, which is what I might expect for decent ramen in California. I noticed that this dish is not on this month's (September) Saturday lunch specials menu. Maybe this was an experiment that they were trying in August that did not work out, and I was just unfortunate to order the wrong thing?

Food was tasty, ramen on the salty side. Brussel sprouts were my fave. Fries were crispy and a little spicy.

Vibe was great, service was good. Hot sake was delicious. Food was not edible. I ordered veggie gyoza & Japanese fried chicken. They were both burned & dried out (limited late night happy hour menu). Maybe I ordered the wrong things? Idk. Either way, I will not return.
Sheila S — Google review
Definitely not an authentic Japanese experience. Curry didn’t have many vegetables and the meat was deep fried. Gyoza was also deep fried and ramen broth was thick and very salty. Edamame was served cold which seemed strange too. Service was very good though.
Emily M — Google review
before going to Minneapolis we had read a lot of positive reviews about this place so decided to check it out. we originally tried to go for lunch on Saturday but they only had a special menu so we ended up going for dinner to try their entire menu. overall good food but horrible service. we got the brussels sprouts to start and then we got the veggie ramen with tofu and the bento box with beef ribs. the brussels sprouts were good, flavor was more at the bottom but a large portion and decent flavor. the ramen was also a good size portion and also had good flavor but needed to be mixed to have the flavors combine well. the bento box was also good in size and had edamame, salad, rice, as well as the main - the beef ribs were good but we’ve had better elsewhere. we also got a side of kimchi but it was average, also had better elsewhere overall decent flavored food and good portion size but horrible service

Solid food and service. We definitely want to go back. We got the house made pickles, chicken gyoza, Brussels sprouts, mapo tofu ramen, pork katsu, and the green tea Tiramisu. All of which were very good. The only critique we had was that the pork katsu could have had more curry sauce. Drinks were good too!! All around, we had a great time at Zen Box.

CHX is a delightful chicken shop that has emerged from humble beginnings, where three friends—Shawn Edwards, Frederick Huballa, and Marques Johnson—started selling chicken from a nightclub window. Now located on Hennepin in Uptown Minneapolis, CHX has expanded its menu while still honoring the iconic chicken tenders that launched their culinary journey. These tenders are celebrated for their hunky breading and delicious sauce.
Finally some chicken with some essence! Perfect crispy tenders! Loved the sweet honey biscuits could eat a few of them! Chx is the shx!

Lives up to the hype!! So good! The chicken was tender, breading was light, and crunchy. The sauce was amazing. Fries were great, classic crinkle cut fries. And the biscuit... Soft with a touch of honey. Everything was incredible, I want to order more now!
Matt T — Google review
Best chicken tenders in the twin cities, no doubt! I find myself craving it weekly. The sauce is to die for and even the fries are wonderful. The biscuit is delightful and I'll often order an extra - nice and moist on the inside with a touch of honey. I do miss the grape and cream soda, but it's not a big deal. Can't wait for y'all to reopen!!
Claire — Google review
Fast service with the order online and order pick up. For $14 I would expect the food to be freshly made. The tenders and fries were cold. I would say if you can get it fresh, it would be worth 5 stars. Sauce is really good an not like other tender sauces I have had.
Ross S — Google review
Loved this place! Service at the walk up window was super fast, didn't wait longer than 2-4 minutes. The size of the chicken tenders was extremely generous and the whole meal was absolutely delicious. The chicken was much more authentic than you would find at bigger chain restaurants and the biscuits and sauce were amazing. Everything about this place was great, I will definitely come again!
Mike F — Google review
Tried this to-go and overall, I think it's a great new spot and a strong competitor to Canes. The honey biscuit was a unique side and done well, and the tenders were high-quality chicken cuts. The CHX sauce and chicken breading is very peppercorn-forward. Some future options that I think could make it even better: more sauces (I personally like honey mustard) and Cajun or another house seasoning blend on the fries.
Dana D — Google review
Arrived at the shop 15 minutes before closing not aware of the menu or what to expect of the space. My friend and I were greeted warmly by the frontline staff and provided time to look over the options at no rush…which is very rare in Minneapolis businesses lately (everyone is on the edge and angry). We ordered the 3 piece tenders meal and it took 5-7 minutes to be served… So now we’re not only shocked about the politeness from staff, cleanliness of the space but now we’re also welcomed to fast service?! At this point we’re won over and sharing our experience on socials before even trying the actual meal…well…the chicken tenders were 10/10. For once a spot that doesn’t need maximum grease to fry their chicken and mask the flavor. The tenders were crispy yet juicy inside, with NO remnants of grease on my fingers after each bite. The specialty sauce adds the perfect kick to the meal but honestly, you don’t even need it! I love great spots in Minneapolis, and I think we just discovered a goldmine. Drive-thru spot next, please!
Leyan M — Google review
Best chicken tender spot in the uptown area. The tenders are generous in size, come with a lot of fries and a biscuit. A craft soda is also included. My advice is go when it's busy. You'll have to wait longer but the food is much for fresh. I find if they are not busy than the chicken just doesn't have that crispiness and isn't worth it. Also, they should offer a la carte items.

Tender Lovin Chix, also known as TLC, has been making waves with its panko-crusted tenders since it first appeared at pop-ups and later launched a food truck. The recent opening of its brick-and-mortar location in Minneapolis has delighted fans who now have a permanent spot to indulge in their favorite dishes.
I watched an ad on TikTok of another foodie and I was impressed and decided I had to try this place for myself. I’m so glad I did. I believe the hype. It was wonderful from the moment I stepped in and the lovely lady behind the bar told us to sit anywhere to the moment she bought out the appetizers drinks and main entrées. The place was well lit beautiful for photos and so easy-going with amazing food. I truly enjoyed my experience and I will be back.

My girls and I love it here and the owner is amazing. It’s a versatile vibe I enjoy on girls night for drinks and fun family dinners. 10000/10 recommend for everyone to try at least once. The Sammie and rush hour 4 are our favorites!
Taylor R — Google review
Sadly a big disappointment. First, the restaurant interior smelled like pee, we were ordering to go. 17$ (before tax) For just a hot honey chicken sandwhich and fries that looked like this in the photo? The sandwhich bun was burnt on the top and rim, and there was no pickles on mine. Chicken with sauces was very inconsistent, the "hot" honey flavor wasn't that sweet but not hot at all, and didn't mix great with the dill sauce (this sauce was really good). Chicken breading & sauciness was inconsisent as shown in the photo, so overall there was some good bites and not so good. Fries were gross and oddly tough outside doughy inside, reminded me of highschool cafeteria fries. My boyfriend got the wings, good size but barley crispy and the buffalo sauce was bland, 14$ for six pieces & no side or drink?? Worst fried chicken place i've had in the Twin Cities so far. For the price and non-fast food vibe of this place was expecting much better, but I would rather go to popeyes regardless of price.
Jade M — Google review
The food truck is great so I needed to check out the restaurant with the expanded menu. I ordered the Rush Hour 4, Chicken and Waffles, and chicken pot stickers. Rush Hour 4 always hits with amazing fried rice, huge and crispy chicken tenders, and yum yum sauce. The chicken and waffles dish was unique because I had teriyaki chicken wings with it. Teriyaki sauce and maple syrup is an odd pairing that works for me. The waffle was good, soft and fluffy. Pot stickers were good too. Friendly service, free parking in the back, and plenty of TV screens all add to the experience at Tender Lovin Chix! I need to work my way through the rest of the menu.

We visted sunday 9/21. So when i think brunch i think women. That was not the case here. Lots of hard bodies lol. The vibe was cool though. My waitress/bartender saved this review actually. I ordered chicken and waffles at first. Waffles were hard and cold. I asked for butter and was given already melted butter. We scrapped that order and i had the sammie. 10/10. Full flavor and the potatoes were actually seasoned. I had a mocktail that was really delish and we spent on avg about $30/pp.

What a great place! Open and airy vibe with vibrant colors. Chicken is delicious and moist on the inside, very crispy breading on the outside. Fries are amazing. Yum Yum sauce is delicious.
Paul B — Google review
We went in August not too long after they opened. Had been driving by a few times and was excited for a chicken place to open. The outside of the restaurant is a little deceiving. You would think it’s a focused chicken place but upon entering, it’s a bar/restaurant setting. We were sat at the bar to order and the menu is actually fushion. It was just the bartender taking all orders and even though there wasn’t a lot of people (a handful of people at the bar and tables were empty), service was slow (maybe no wait staff hired yet?). Ordered food to go. Pretty expensive, but the workers were raving about how good the food is so we wanted to support the business and maybe this would be our new favorite chicken tender place. While we waited, we checked out what other people ordered and it seemed ok but nothing special. Food: they didn’t give us any dipping sauce for the chicken tenders or fries. I guess you have to specifically ask for dipping sauce and ketchup. The fries were good. The chicken was not seasoned at all. No salt or pepper. We were surprised and ate the breading and meat separately to see if there was any seasoning. Nope, the meat and breading were both tasteless, really bland. At least the chicken was tender?? The tacos weren’t bad but we’ve had better flavor elsewhere. Fried chicken wings is also just your everyday chicken, nothing special. Since they had just opened, we figured they were still figuring things out so maybe we will stop in sometime in the future (drive by all the time) to give them a second chance. Maybe. It’s an interesting menu and spacious space. Just disappointed that out of everything, the fries were the best and chicken was bland.

Smack Shack is a trendy seafood restaurant with an industrial-chic ambiance. The eatery offers a diverse menu featuring seafood, casual dishes, and cocktails. Their sunny streetside patio provides a perfect setting for enjoying lunch or dinner. The comprehensive menu includes peel and eat shrimp, crab cakes, New England-style seafood boil, oysters, and various lobster dishes such as lobster guacamole and lobster poutine.
Great service, and atmosphere, their lobster rolls are great, as well as other seafood. Made my way back a couple of times, food quality has been consistent. A little bit on the pricey end but overall experience makes it worth it.

Walked in and were seated right away on the patio. The table was wobbly but they have wedges on the floor to fix that. Started with the hot peel and eat shrimp with dip sauces and lemon. Most items on the menu can come hot or cold, which is pretty cool. The signature Lobster roll was filled with big chunks of lobster and dressed just right with bites of cucumber. Great portions, we had enough time to talk and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Nice and strong drinks. Definitely a seafood lovers dream , caters to other dietary preferences so the there is just about something for everyone.

We absolutely loved our meal here! The service was quick and friendly. We are from out of town and came to have dinner between a doubleheader at Target Center Field. Our waiter was so helpful and patient while we figured out what we wanted to eat, and kept our glasses full! The food itself was absolutely delicious. We got the lobster poutine which was to die for! My husband ordered the scallops and really enjoyed them. I ordered the shrimp n grits at the suggestion of our waiter, and boy am I glad I did! The shrimp were flavorful and cooked perfectly, the grits were creamy, and the accompanying sauce had the perfect amount of zing. We're said we live 12 hours away, otherwise we would be back for sure!! They have a nice outdoor seating area, a bar area, and an indoor dining area. We really liked the atmosphere.

This place was recommended by a friend who lived in Minnesota, so when we were in town we gave it a try. Amazing food! Everything we ordered was yummy, and tasted great. We decided on the shrimp poutine fries which were killer good. Not too salty, perfect taste, and not too saucy. The lobster roll was one of the best, and the wagyu burger was so juicy, and delicious. The fries with the Cajun seasoning were so good.

We went for dinner on a Friday night, right at the end of happy hour so the had lots of drinks and apps at a good price. We had the lobster poutine and shrimp bruschetta to start. Both were very good and the portions were very generous. For entrees we had the mussels, they were very good, nice flavor and nice portion size. Shrimp po'boy was also good. It came with fries and shrimp were nice and crispy, good flavor as well. Lobster mac and cheese was a miss though. It was very bland and needed more cheese. Not worth the $31. They gave us a key lime pie for a Birthday dessert which was delicious. We also had the red velvet Boston creme cake, also very good. Dylan, our server, was very good. We were lucky to get a parking spot on the street but we noticed they did have valet if you can’t find street parking which is a plus.

I've been here a few times and I enjoy the service and the food very much. The vibe there is very cool being down in the north loop. This is a nice stop for a lobster or some good seafood!

Nestled in the vibrant Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis, Lake & Irving Restaurant & Bar is a warm and inviting gastropub that offers a delightful blend of eclectic American cuisine. With an emphasis on Asian-inspired flavors, the menu features unique dishes like Korean gochujang smoked chicken wings and Hawaiian loco moco, crafted by chef Chris Ikeda who draws inspiration from his time in Hawaii.
I forgot to get this written sooner but my wife and I stopped in for lunch and had an amazing experience! We had never been to this establishment before, we were in the area taking maternity photos and just Googled "restaurants." We were in around 3:45pm and the place was relatively empty, but my assumption is that's only because it wasn't dinner time yet. With that said, I could easily see this place filling fast with how amazing the food tastes and the great service. Joe M was our server and not only did he display a knowledge of the menu, but gave us great suggestions and was very attentive! We started with the Truffle Fries, and both got a burger. She got the Cheeseburger and I got the Luxe Burger. She unfortunately had to get it cooked a little more done through being she is pregnant but either way, our burgers were juicy and delicious! I was especially delighted by the foie gras butter. She ordered a mint lemonade mocktail that looked just as good as it tasted. If you haven't ever been here, please please stop in and give it a try I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Shout out to Gerald he was a great server he took great care of us when we visited. The chicken sandwich was delicious I got the ghost cheese so it had a wonderful kick of spice. I'd skip the side salad next time. Truffle fries were good. Perfectly crispy and hot. I also really enjoyed the charred green beans. My husband said his Luxe burger was cooked well and very juicy. The jungle bird was delicious, I'd definitely get it again. This spot is pretty solid with the food, the service and the music!

First time here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The place has a nice atmosphere and a great staff, but the food stole the show. We did the Buttermilk Chicken sandwich and the brisket sandwich. The Buttermilk Chicken has some hype for good reason, but I think the brisket sandwich was possibly the better of the two. Both were great and we’ll be back soon to try some other menu items.

Great experience! We sat out on the patio and it was great! Our server Emily was terrific. She had great suggestions and was very helpful when we had questions or when we were confused on anything on the menu. All the staff were great, super friendly and clearly liked being there. The food was great. I was a bit skeptical of the aioli that came with the hanger steak at first but it was delicious. I should have just trusted the menu. It was great. My friend got a make your own and did fried rice, ahi, and pork belly and it was so good. So many great flavors going on. This has been on my list to get to and I’m so glad I finally went. It was great and I hope to be back to try something new.

I went with some friends for restaurant week and it was our first time. I was told to get the burger but decided to order off restaurant week options. Was highly disappointed in the main course. It was one of the worst cooked pork chops I’ve had out in a very long time. It was so dry and bland. Even the fried rice was bland. 3 out of the 4 people ordered it and it was all the same bland overcooked food. They gave us 3 dollars off but that’s still ridiculous. My one friend ate about half and said it wasn’t worth it. The cocktails were amazing and the apps were a little better. Dessert was ok. Disappointing experience overall. Not sure if we will go back.

We got the Korean “BBQ” Beef Short Ribs Hummus Bowl and the Deluxe Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. I would’ve never thought that kimchi and hummus could go so well together. It felt like a Ratatouille moment when Remi discovered the joy of eating fruit and cheese together. We sat in about 15 minutes of pure silence just devouring everything. We plan to come back and try some of their other menu items. The only downside is that the area can get quite congested on the weekend and parking isn’t always the easiest to find. But it’s great because you can get a delicious dinner and then go next door to get ice cream that comes in some very unique flavors.

I had higher hopes for this one. Simply didn't live up to the hype. I did appreciate the croquettes, liked the distinctiveness of them. The MFC biscuit sandwich was overrated, IMO, and I really wanted to love it. The chicken saag was too strongly spiced with cloves. It took away from the other flavors and dominated. The shawerma tacos were well flavored. The kofta burger. Well, the meat was well flavored, but adding cheese on kofta? REALLY? Definitely missed the mark there. The short rib bowl was my personal favorite.

One our family’s favorite restaurants. Has a great vegan/vegetarian option for each meaty option. They often add new menu items which we love to try. Great flavors that we can’t quite capture at home. Service is fast and friendly. Booths and tables available. They share bathrooms with the other businesses in the building which requires exiting the restaurant and using a door code which is not ideal for young children.

Went to WSK on a sunny Saturday day, we ordered quickly and sat outside. Food was great! A bit of a small menu but everything was so good.
Riley M — Google review
Tasted pretty mid. Got the Moroccan fried chicken biscuit and the curry chicken burrito. The chicken biscuit was okay: the lemon on the carrot slaw was the prominent flavor for the whole sandwich, which is sad bc then the chicken tasted just like any other chicken: whatever seasoning or herbs to make the chicken Moroccan definitely went MIA. The curry chicken burrito was also just okay. The fried rice definitely tasted unseasoned, and there wasn't enough curry to make the burrito good bc there was so much unseasoned fried rice. Additionally, they could've added some veggies to offset the texture of the burrito (bell peppers/bamboo/crispy onions with the curry or even a cabbage slaw mixed in with the curry sauce). And pleaasseee use more tender parts of chicken ie thighs instead of breasts. The chicken was tough so no Bueno. I get the retail space is probably expensive to rent in this area, but man, for the price point and portions you get, you would figure the taste would at least be up there instead of being meh.

Delicious food, cool atmosphere. Casual dining (order via QR code, they bring it out) and a great experience. Everyone was super nice. One of the employees noticed me being a camel and chugging a bunch of the tiny DIY water station cups and brought me a carafe. Now for the food: amazing. I had the red curry chicken burrito, which was delicious. I was nervous because it's labeled "spicy," but it was very manageable spice-wise and super flavorful. I forgot to take a picture of my husband's Morrocan fried chicken sandwich on biscuit bread, which I had a bite of and was so unique and amazing. It had a carrot slaw on it that was great! Y'all gotta come here!

Chicken wings restaurant
American restaurant
Bar
Runyon's is a high-ceilinged tavern located in North Loop, offering a modest American menu of pub grub including wings and burgers. It is known as a true neighborhood sports bar renowned for its crispy chicken wings with a perfected recipe developed over nearly four decades. The classic buffalo wings are highly recommended, whether you prefer them mild or blazing hot, especially when paired with housemade blue cheese or ranch dressing. The atmosphere exudes a timeless charm and the location downtown adds to its appeal.
This is a nice local place with a decent selection of beers. It is found in the older part of Minneapolis so the building is historic so lots of exposed brick. Apparently, they have THE BEST Wings in town. Now, I have a wing or two in my life all over North America and I will say these ones are up there. Large, juicy well cooked wings. Very well done. The staff are great too.

My favorite wings in the cities!! Simple little tavern for a good beer and great wings!! We typically get wings and a burger and split them. Always a good experience. Decent place to watch a game as well. I recommend ordering wings Xtra crispy...Mmmmm!!
Topher N — Google review
My family and I visited this place on a Sunday evening after hearing great things about their wings. Unfortunately, the experience was a big letdown. We stood at the entrance for a while without being greeted, even though several staff members were just chatting behind the bar. I had to approach the bar myself to ask if we should seat ourselves—only then were we told we could sit anywhere. Our server seemed impatient and uninterested from the start. We ordered 20 wings to share, along with a bacon grilled cheese and a basket of sweet potato fries. We specifically asked for the fries to be crispy, but they came out burnt. The bacon in the sandwich was thick and tough to chew, and the wings were just okay. The buffalo sauce wasn’t evenly tossed and had an overpowering vinegar taste. Not that buffalo sauce was our favorite. To top it all off, no one acknowledged us when we left—no goodbye, no thank you. It felt like customer service and hospitality were completely missing. Sadly, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in terms of both food and service.
Maeve D — Google review
I heard this place has the best buffalo wings in town so I had to give it a try. I can honestly say the claim is no lie. I am not a huge buffalo fan, but these wings changed my mind. Big, crispy, and perfectly sauced...enough to coat and flavour, but not drowning or dripping. My friend got the Olive burger and was extremely happy with that as well. The atmosphere was old town bar feel, long and narrow. Seemed quite a popular place with young professionals enjoying drinks. On top of the great bar feel and amazing food was the fantastic service. Amber was everything you could ever want from a server, anticipating our every need. Quick to bring water and take orders, and our Arnold Palmer and iced tea never ran out. She saw them under half and just kept bringing out more, not interrupting or being in the way. Dishes were removed promptly and non-intrusive. She was very polite and friendly - Runyons definitely found a great one with Amber! Oh, and the saying on the back of the shirts is classic!! Definitely a place to come back to.

Came here with a friend for lunch. Heard great things about the wings (S/O to Sam Reid) and came away very impressed. The wings had a flavorful sauce that wasn't too spicy but also not without a kick. I got the basket which includes 8 wings and some fries. I wanted a little more than just wings so this worked well; however, I wouldn't fault anyone for sticking with the wings themselves for how good they were. An easy 5 stars from me!

First time here. Heres the rundown, you seat yourself but nothing tells you that. The table and seats were very sticky which wasnt food but just using the wrong cleaning product when dealing with real wood. Its busy and gets very loud in there also but they do their best to accomodate. The manager was taking orders and helping out and was very nice. The drinks were strong and the wings were so good. I would recommend a little more sauce on them but really good either way. I like the vibe and its right in the neighborhood. Definitely worth a stop in

Me and my homies love Runyons. I’ve been coming to this fine establishment as long as I can remember. Even as a small tot before going to a Twins game. The go-to order of wings (double order), buffalo shrimp and the chili cheese fries (can’t forget the side of XTRA hot buffalo sauce to mix into the bleu cheese) have never let me down. Never change Runyons, never change.

Barbecue restaurant
Pimento Jamaican Kitchen & Rum Bar is a vibrant spot in Minneapolis that offers traditional Jamaican cuisine such as jerk chicken and braised oxtail. The restaurant is the result of a collaboration between a Jewish rapper and a Jamaican business executive, featuring counter-service Jamaican street food on one side and a rum bar on the other. It's known for its delicious jerk chicken, coconut rice, and sweet plantains paired with Red Stripe beer.
I came on the rhythm and floetry night. I enjoyed myself the drinks were good but the food is better. It was definitely dope vibes. Warm and welcoming. Plus it’s ran by a legend herself you can’t go wrong checking this spot out. #youfoundme 💜👑🙏🏽💪🏽🤞🏽

Ordered as a group meals with different options. Others don’t eat pork and others are vegan. Meals were all mixed up. Boxes were not properly labeled. I called them to see if we can do a video so they could identify what is what, the guy I spoke to hang up on me. In addition to that, other meals were missing like the coconut curry rice and beans and the wings a friend ordered. Maybe in person service is better but this is a horrible experience! The DoorDash person who delivered the meals was super nice

Pimento Jamaica N Kitchen & Bar offers a vibrant and inviting atmosphere that captures the essence of Caribbean culture. The decor features bright colors and Jamaican-inspired accents, creating a lively yet cozy setting perfect for casual gatherings or celebrations. The ambiance is complemented by friendly staff who are welcoming and eager to share their passion for authentic Jamaican cuisine, making guests feel right at home. The restaurant’s menu showcases a variety of flavorful dishes rooted in traditional Jamaican flavors, including jerk chicken, oxtail stew, curried goat, and seafood options. The ingredients are fresh, and the spices are well-balanced, delivering an authentic taste experience. Portions are generous, making it a great spot for hearty meals that provide good value. Vegetarians can also find satisfying options, adding to the restaurant’s appeal for diverse dietary preferences. Additionally, after-hours music creates a lively vibe that encourages guests to relax and enjoy the evening, enhancing the overall experience. While the food is delicious and the atmosphere lively, some customers have noted that the service can be a bit slow, especially during busy times. However, the warm ambiance, flavorful dishes, and after-hours music help make up for the wait. Overall, Pimento Jamaica N Kitchen & Bar is a great choice for those craving authentic Caribbean flavors in Minneapolis and looking to enjoy a fun, culturally rich environment despite occasional service delays.

I rarely leave reviews but I’m so beyond disappointed. I’ve been craving ox-tails for a while. My brother had a really positive experience and recommended this place. After reading reviews and seeing a few pics I figured I’d give it a try. I was in a hurry so I did a pick-up order. When I opened the box and realized I paid $28 for bones I was livid. There was no meat. The pic I’ve attached is before I took a bite. Don’t waste your money or your time here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been coming to Pimento for years, and it’s hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Minnesota. With several locations to choose from, I’ve had the joy of trying almost everything on the menu — and it’s always fresh, flavorful, and full of that authentic island soul. I highly recommend starting with the beef patties or vegetarian patties — both are perfectly flaky and packed with flavor. For mains, you can’t go wrong with the curry goat, jerk chicken, or jerk pork (if you eat pork). Every dish is seasoned to perfection, with that perfect balance of spice and warmth that keeps me coming back again and again. And don’t skip their signature sauces — they’re so good they sell them to take home! The jerk ranch in particular is phenomenal and goes with just about everything. The vibe is always welcoming, and there’s often live music in the Rum Bar that brings the island energy to life. In the summer, their back patio is the perfect spot to soak up those beautiful Minnesota days with great food, a cold drink, and friends. Generous portions, bold flavors, and a warm atmosphere — whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or making a night of it, Pimento never disappoints. 🌴🔥

I don’t doubt the bad reviews, but fortunately I’ve had good experiences with their food at the Nicollet Ave location. Good portion sizes, mine has always come pretty fresh, and I’ve loved the jerk chicken I’ve gotten. Maybe it depends on who makes it and who’s watching it during the day. 🤷‍♂️ but I’ve loved the food both times my wife & I have gone. I got the jerk chicken and it came with a good portion of rice, chicken, and a little coleslaw. I loved their coleslaw - its simple. I hate when it’s covered in sugary cream sauce, so I’m glad theirs is so simple and fresh. Plantains were good and the barbecue sauce we got was fire. Yes, jerk chicken is spicy. The hope is they don’t overdo the seasonings as some reviews say, but it does come spicy. Maybe more than you may think, but it’s good to me. 😁 It does run a little expensive so be prepared for that, but we’ve eaten-in at lunch time and done take-out at dinner time. Both were good from the Nicollet location.

As a prior traveller to Jamaica, I love this place! For Pimento, my friends and I are frequent flyers. The food is delicious and brings back the memories from our Jamaican travels. At night, the have music and occasionally, a live band. This is one of my favorite spots in the Twin Cities.

Nestled in a cozy corner, Book Club Restaurant is a delightful spot that marries modern American cuisine with a literary twist. The vibrant wallpaper and book-cover decor create an inviting atmosphere perfect for food lovers and bookworms alike. Their menu features globally inspired dishes, including the much-praised fried chicken sandwich drizzled with white vinegar BBQ sauce—a must-try!
Stopped here for brunch for the first time after driving by for years and always wanting to check it out! There’s a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated right away at 11am on a Sunday without reservations. We shared the bacon avocado burger and Miso Roasted Winter Squash and Brown Rice Bowl. Really liked the bacon avocado burger with fries. The bowl was good just not very big. We added the crispy tofu which I highly recommend. Could have used more of the veggies but it was good. They also had various coffee drinks as well as cocktails and mocktails. Very friendly service. There was a parking lot as well as free street parking.

Delicious meals and fantastic service! All in a cute little neighborhood spot. Not sure what more you could ask for. It has more of a creative menu than your typical brunch spot.
Andrew S — Google review
Hosted a rather large impromptu Sunday brunch for 15 people (including some youngsters) and everything about the experience was excellent. From the really nice manager who helped organize the reservation, to our accommodating server working a giant group, everyone went above and beyond. Food and drinks were delicious. Cool atmosphere.
Griffin S — Google review
The restaurant gets full on the weekend very quickly, so might need to wait a little if you go late. I didn’t have to wait and got a table right away. The tofu is crispy on outside and soft in the inside. It’s drizzled with sweet savory sauce and with each bit, you keep on wanting more. The korean pancake was also tasty and delicious. It was well seasoned and same sauce drizzled on top, along with two sunny side up eggs. I didn’t like the ham on the side as much. It was salty to my taste. The rice bowl could use more seasonings to make it flavorful and not bland. I enjoyed the living and fun atmosphere the restaurant brings in.
Hanny P — Google review
Loved the bread pudding here! Like a French toast that got dressed up for a fancy party. Coffee was perfect. I always hate when chicken sandwiches are too thick but the one here is crispy and just the right thickness. I haven't even eaten the Cobb salad I brought home yet but it looks beautiful. Great service and a nice atmosphere. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options labeled on the menu.
Amanda D — Google review
Delicious, fresh, scratch, comfort, friendly, ambiance... words I'd use to describe Book Club. We had skewers and the tofu to start. All were super tasty and highly recommend. We then had the broccoli mac and a fried chickend sandwich. The chicken sandwich was top notch. The mac was also fairly tasty.
Kris K — Google review
I didn't have the greatest experience last time I visited Book Club. I ordered a Tofu scramble and the server showed up with a three-egg hash. After it was sent back, I waited quite a while for my replacement. My friend had finished her meal by the time it showed up. It was also a very unappetizing tofu scramble. The tofu crumbles were the size of rice and it was covered in so much turmeric it was powdery tasting. There was no salt. The cooks need to know what things are supposed to look like/taste like if they are going to serve it to people. I am guessing most people on staff haven't had a proper tofu scramble, so don't know what it should look like or taste like. On the bright side, the latte I got was delicious.

Customers recommend trying the fried cheese curds and beer cheese soup for a warm and satisfying experience. The restaurant also serves award-winning burgers and fish fry on Fridays, making it a great find at an airport.

Our server Rose was great al around! Quick to greet us, fast service, quick followup on drink refills and food quality. She is 11/10. Read about their award winning burgers, but it was a Friday and also read to try their fish fry. Spot on!! Four pieces of perfectly battered fried cod on a bed of endless fries. The catsup and tartar sauce had a stone ground mustard mix to it which was unique and really good. Rate to find a good fish fry let alone at an airport!!

I tried the breakfast burger here recently. Service was quick, and the food also came out quite quickly. The food was quite good for airport standards, but not amazing. Quite expensive for what you get.
Michal B — Google review
This is not the best Red Cow in rhe Minneapolis area, and the staff clearly doesn’t aspire to make it so either. The staff is friendly but it is very evident that they don’t see you as a potential repeat customer. The beer menu apparently changes so often that they need to use small notes as a beer menu (which we found okay actually). The bar tender was unfriendly and decided not to answer any questions but refer to the waiting staff instead (he was playing with his phone). The food is average at best even though we tried very simple dishes. We will go to another Red Cow next time, and at the airport we will pick another option.
Bull D — Google review
Ordered the double barrel burger which was supposed to be the premium (award winning) option. The food took a long time to arrive, and my first question was "where's the beef?" It was supposed to be a double patty, but barely had enough meat for small single patty. Although tasty, it was overcooked and left me wanting more. It took forever to get the check, which was not an issue due to our long layover.

Chris was an incredible host and even gave a few trinkets to my family and I for coming from BC Vancouver to watch a Vikings game. Fun experience! Pour your own beverage from non alcohol options to wine and beer. However, when you leave, you are informed via a sign that your card in file will automatically be charged 20% to go to the servers as gratuity. Would have been nice to know this ahead of time. Plus, what if I dont like my service? Nice selection of drink optional, and the food looked great.

Order via app. Food comes out hot and amazing. Loved the chicken sandwiches, and the fries were spicy, but not too spicy, and there were loads of them for ten bucks. Such a unique concept for a bar! I absolutely love this place! So many different options for beer, cider, sours and even wine! You swipe your debit/credit card when you walk in that gets synced to a key fob that you then use while you’re there to unlock different drink options you want and fill your glass yourself! It charges a set amount for each drink per ounce. My friends and I each walked away only paying between $2-$7 for what we had! Great deal!!

My new favorite place for beer! And tapas! Super good food and the self serve beer is such and awesome and fun concept. Great for any occasion. The crab sliders were so good we wanted to order more. Cannot wait to return or visit one of the others they have opened in Denver and soon in LA. Everyone who worked here was also super fun and helpful. We had multiple conversations with employees which really added to the experience. Another huge thing to note was the State Fair beers that were available here that you could not find anywhere else. Abang Yoli Nicollet is a culinary gem where Korean and Malaysian flavors beautifully intertwine, particularly known for its mouthwatering fried chicken sandwich. This standout dish features a perfectly crispy chicken breast marinated for a day and coated in sweet and spicy gochujang sauce, complemented by fresh cabbage slaw and pickled vegetables. The twice-fried technique ensures an extra crunch that elevates the experience to new heights.
Chicken sandwich was extremely good. Short rib bao was also great. Fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. Veggies inside were amazing too. Fries with cilantro had a generous portion and came with a nice sauce. Service was pretty fast under 10 minutes and you order at a counter. Seating is limited. Heavily recommend coming here, everyone in my party agreed it was very good food.

It's a cute spot. It’s fairly small with not much seating; however, I believe they may offer outdoor seating in the summer. The server was very nice and helpful. I ordered the sandwich as well as my partner. The food was ready fairly quickly. The food arrived hot and was absolutely incredible! It was hands down the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Excellent Korean food, filling portions, reasonbly priced. Great location, tiny interior. Loved every dish we ordered. Generous cuts of prime meats. flavors were distinct and exciting. They switch from breakfast to lunch exactly at 11am on days when they offer both.

i'm korean and lived in malaysia for 20+ years, so my expectations for this place was pretty high! seeing a restaurant combine two of my favorite cuisines together was creative and such an exciting idea. we got the fried chicken sandwich with the chili crunch. i've never been a fan of chicken sandwiches but this had the perfect crisp, and the chili crunch was definitely a great add! the flavor is so well maintained, with the juices from the fried chicken flowing out after every bite! spice level wise didn't pack a punch, so if you're a spicy addict like me, i'd say to up the spice level! the next dish was the rice noodle salad with chicken suasage! let me tell you the FLAVORS was just popping! the tangy, sweet, and umami felt like a delicacy. sadly, the noodles were overcooked, which i believe would've helped with absorbing the flavors a lot more into the noodles. the sauce reminded me of sambal, and the tangy flavors reminder me of kimchi. these flavors just meshed so well together. last we got the vegan red curry. we were told this was a laksa, so already high hopes. although it didn't have the laksa flavor i was hoping, this still did no disappoint! the charted bok choy and tofu, which was the slightly firm kind added a fun texture that combines well with the curry. though the curry was slightly sweet, the thickness of the curry was just right. if you're vegan or vegetaria and looking to try something a little different the vegan red curry is something to try! thank you for combining two cuisines that are a part of me and my identity! Abang yoli helped me reminisce my memories in malaysia!

Ordered a few things off the menu, only had an issue with the grilled chicken bao. As it was severely undercooked. Otherwise the fries, chicken sandwich and kimchi were good. I went up to one of the chefs to just confirm on the cook of the chicken, but was told that's how our chicken is cooked for the baos. They did not offer a refund on the single item.

Ray J's American Grill is a delightful local spot that truly elevates the chicken wing experience in Minneapolis. While many places stick to classic buffalo flavors, Ray J's offers an exciting array of options like extra hot habanero, blackened dry-rub, and even sriracha peanut butter wings. This establishment goes beyond just wings; it’s a vibrant sports restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of dishes including burgers, seafood, sandwiches, and more.
I order the garlic Parmesan wings and cheeseburger sliders (which they sent a cheeseburger) and it was amazing. I didn’t call to complain about the mishap on the sliders because everything was amazing. They give you REAL wings. No wing cut in half and call it two wings. Great spot for lunch. Prices are fair, the food was great, and service was spot on. The free parking lot behind the restaurant is nice. Great breakfast burger and fries.

Wings are really big, and good! The staff was very nice and we had a good time there for the Super Bowl.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. Our server was wonderful and brought us samples of the sauces when we couldn’t decide. We got the wings and the artichoke dip which were both FANTASTIC. My only complaint is that the staff in the kitchen were playing their music very loud, which was a little disturbing, since the TVs in the restaurant were also on.

This is my favorite sports bar in the city with the best food!! The whole staff is incredible. Wyatt is fantastic, Sophie and John the bartenders are incredible. As far as food oh man are you in for a treat with big full wings the Bomba wings with jalapeño ranch is so good, the Cajun pasta is also to die for.
Daniel L — Google review
Classic bar food. The garlic burger with waffle fries hit the spot after a run. I would get this again. We got a full order of wings and were able to get half Nutty Rooster and half Asian Sesame wings. The Asian sesame was extremely saucy. The nutty rooster definitely tasted better than the Asian ones. Lots of people in there on a Thursday night watching sports on the big tvs. Overall a pretty good experience!

Francis Burger Joint, located in Northeast Minneapolis, has gained a loyal following for its mouthwatering plant-based burgers and phenomenal vegan fried chicken sandwiches. The menu features four unique vegan chicken sandwiches, including the MN spicy chicken sandwich with Nashville hot mayo, coleslaw, and jalapenos, as well as the Hunny Dijon and Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich. Additionally, lucky patrons may catch a special brunch offering that layers fried chicken in freshly made Belgian waffles.
8/30/2025 My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time tonight. 3 different employees checked in on us, one being the manager, and they were all very kind and very professional. The manager hung out for a minute and told us the story on the place which is really cool. We got 3 food items; Garlic Girl, and BBQ Chicken, and chopped fries. We got 2 milkshakes; chocolate and lavender. Both came with whipping cream and a cherry. The food tasted sinful. It was so, so extremely good. I hardly had to use ketchup because it was so good. The food was served incredibly promptly and the portions exceeded my expectations. We had to get a to-go box. The environment was very warm and welcoming and also clean, including the bathrooms. I am so happy we went here tonight!!! We will be back!

This place knocked my socks off!! I’ve been to vegan restaurants from NYC to L.A. and this place ranks with the BEST!! Flavors and textures were outstanding! Seitan bacon can sometimes be meh but this was perfect. We came in for brunch and are seriously considering coming back for dinner. Just wow.🤩

We took a vegan sibling out for lunch. I was skeptical at first, but there were so many choices. Our server was very helpful and answered our questions. This place by far has the best fries ever!!! The Garlic Girl and the Chai shake were drool worthy and delicious. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxed. Everything was great and it definitely opens your eyes to vegan and plant based foods!! If you want a great plant based burger and amazing fries, this is the spot to go!!

I am not vegan but this is probably the best vegan “chicken” sandwich I’ve tried. The seasoning was great and the texture of the “chicken” was pretty convincing as well. Fries were crispy and fresh. Service was outstanding! I also appreciate that this is a no tipping establishment (cost is built into the menu price). Would definitely return!

Happy hour visit with an old friend at the bar is awesome! We were the first, maybe the only, 2 people in the joint at 4:15pm on a Thursday. Seemed like no one knew my name and no one's glad I came. Finally! A friendly bar tender showed up. Paper plane cocktail goes great with a Pittsburgh salad (salad with fries on top).

I went here for a birthday brunch with friends. There was plenty of room for our large group. They have a no tipping payment system so that was straightforward. The food was great! I had a juicy Lucy with a black bean patty. It was very tasty! The fries were seasoned nicely. I also ordered a pickle plate which featured many pickled vegetables and fruit. I also got a cup of ice cream. I'd go back!
Andrea O — Google review
Was searching for burger locations when I was in that part of town and stumbled across this place. Did not realize that the food was all vegan, every single item on the menu. Except the Diet Coke. Just ordered a hamburger with fries and a drink and the hamburger definitely tasted different. Probably because I’ve never had a vegan burger. So i’d take my food review with a grain of salt. Food aside, the atmosphere is very welcoming and the server I had (Kay, I believe) was the highlight of my day in the city. Shared many laughs and she honestly made the experience worthwhile even if i had better burgers elsewhere. The ice cream cone was also very good. Never had coconut milk ice cream and i can say it’s worth trying especially considering the fact i have a dairy intolerance. Would recommend this place to people wanting to try new things and/or vegans.

Absolutely the best vegan burger I've ever had!! I went for brunch while visiting from out of town and am so glad I did. Amazing service, awesome vibes & atmosphere, great music & delicious food. I had the jalapeno popper special & it was so good! Thank you for such a great experience!

Welcome to Republic, a charming brick-walled gastropub that’s a haven for craft beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike. With an impressive selection of beers on tap, this spot is perfect for those looking to unwind after a long day or enjoy a leisurely lunch. The menu features gourmet bar bites alongside classic pub fare, ensuring there's something for everyone. For the adventurous eaters, Republic offers unique options like fried chicken sandwiches and tantalizing fish tacos that are sure to please your palate.
Pleasant outdoor seating. Great burgers; the brigade burger with triple cream brie, caramelized onions, truffled mushrooms and red wine was excellent. Nice selection of local beers.

A day after eating at the Town Hall, we ate here and it suffered by contrast. We had the Grilled Chicken salad, which was wonderful. The Butter Bison burger was tasty, but only due to the pickles and dijonnaise - the meat was unseasoned and poorly cooked. The waiter was busy and never refilled the water, which was a problem since one of us only had that to drink. The hard ciders are delicious and there's quite a selection of them. Bottom line, 3.5 stars in comparison to their competition across the street.

I have been here sooo many times. Honestly i cannot say they have THE best food but they have pretty good food for the price they offer and service is always great. Section and pricing of drinks is great too especially during the happy hour. Dey raspberry beer

This is a great spot for lunch or happy hour, and within walking distance from the university’s West Bank. They have an impressive tap list and the menu consists of typical pub fare. Their fries are delicious—extra salty and perfect with a beer. The fish or pork tacos they have on the happy hour menu are also great. I’ve been coming here off and on for the past five years and service is always attentive and friendly. The interior is lovely and has a lot of vintage charm—but in the summer you’ll definitely want to sit outside!

Enjoyed a very nice evening with friends. We had the fried cauliflower with Korean BBQ sauce and the Kimchi nachos as appetizers. I had the fish tacos for my entree. And then ended the evening with dessert. I had the Butterscotch pudding. All were delicious. It is my second time dining here. And I recommend it.

Had a great dinner! Very large, good selection of beers and some great food, both aesthetically and in taste. Highly recommend the Quinoa & Mushroom burger, even if not vegetarian, it is absolutely delicious! Service was good and knowledgeable - was able to help with drink and food selection.

Amazing beer and cider selection! Didn't try any of their food but the menu looked interesting. Customer service could be improved as it was difficult to get the bartenders attention, but the beer list alone was enough for me to want to go back.

We stopped for a drink before a show nearby. Lots to choose from, I went with a raspberry cider and really liked it. We weren't planning on eating, but my husband wanted to try the poutine. It was actually quite tasty. I was a sceptic, but ended up liking it! Nice outdoor seating too.

Soul food restaurant
Wendy's House of Soul, Inc. is a popular eatery located in north Minneapolis that has gained national attention for its unique offerings. Featured on the Cooking Channel's Food Paradise, this restaurant is known for its special Soulrolls - gluten-free egg roll wraps filled with delicious ingredients like greens, mac and cheese, and taco fixings.
We had a great meal at Wendy’s House of Soul - loved the Soul Rolls! The crispy outside was so yummy! They’re like a larger egg roll but not the traditional fillings you think of. There’s a ton of options for you to pick what your Soul Rolls has in it. We got the Taco & Cheeseburger Soul Rolls. Employees were VERY kind and friendly - can’t wait to go back! The market that this restaurant is in was also very nice. Great selection of healthy foods. Try the banana water if you haven’t yet!
Chantel B — Google review
I struggled to find Wendy's, but it's the Deli counter inside North Market. There is some small signage to the left as you approach the register. I got the snack pack with a Nanny soul roll and a lemonade. The dry rub wings and lemonade were amazing. The soul roll was good, and fries were OK. There are 2 tables to dine in but my meal was packaged to go. Service was great, it took about 10 minutes to prep, so if you're in a hurry, order online ahead of time. I don't love being asked to tip 15-25% just for having my food made but do like to support small businesses. This type of food is best enjoyed hot. Plenty of free parking in the lot.

I waited years and came from Australia to try Wendy's food! First thing I have to say after trying a variety of of items of the menu...Wendy's is known for it's soul rolls. My god, I LOVED the soul rolls. If you're not into spice, just ask Wendy to reduce the amount of Jalapenos lol! I like the spice so I loved it. I also bought a chicken sandwich which was good, but I'd like to see fresh bread used for that price. Fries were hot, crisped and seasoned to perfection! The Mac n cheese definitely needed more flavour/seasoning and could taste better. I made the immediate assumption that Wendy wasn't behind the Mac n cheese... 100% returning here just for the soul rolls. Absolutely love em! ❤️ Keep up the good work Wendy! ❤️

I've followed Wendy for years on Instagram as her soul food looked absolutely amazing! I commented on one of Wendy's posts telling her that I was excited to try her food. I live in Mankato, MN, but we were in the cities and me and my brother tried it for the first time. It's in the North Market, and when you walk into the store she's on the right hand side of the store. Unfortunately, I missed Wendy by about a half hour or so... But I plan on coming back. We ordered a couple soul rolls which were to die for. They were crispy, flavorful and her soul sauce for the rolls was excellent. We talked to some people waiting in line and they said to try the chicken wings next time. They said the wings were phenomenal, so that'll be on my next trip up there. The staff at Wendy's House of Soul were great, I even asked if I could take a picture with them and they kindly obliged me. I will definitely be going back and I can't wait try those wings! I was souled ❤️

Visited this spot per recommendation from a friend. The parking lot is located out front. Wendy’s is located by in deli towards the right of the grocery store. The lady working the register was super cool and helped us with any questions that we had about the display case. We ordered our food and waited about twenty minutes before it was ready. I think it’s neat that the fish options are tilapia and catfish and you can decide if you want it baked or fried. The rice was a bit heavy but everything else was pretty good. He was a fan of the nanny roll & I definitely understand the hype around the caramel cake!
Markeda D — Google review
I came from Saint paul to try her and let me tell you everything tasted so good. I got the soul chicken legs which were seasoned to perfect. if you like your chicken well seasoned Wendy's is the place to go. The fries, greens, and Mac were seasoned to perfection as well. My wife got the lemon pepper which was also good.10/10 I would recommend.

I went here hoping to get a good Philly Cheese Steak and was disappointed. The Fries had seasoning on them but nothing beats 5 Guys fries or Hooks Lemon Pepper Fries in Brooklyn Center. The people at Wendy's House and Sould need more Soul and make their food better. I won't be going back.

It was my first time here today! I tried the soul rolls. They taste beyond amazing, especially after you pour a little bit of their sauce on each bite! I was beyond please with the pricing as well! I will definitely be going back when I can!.the best food in a eggroll. Freshly made and the perfect sauces to go with whatever you choose!.The Mac and cheese roll was our favorite.

Union Hmong Kitchen, located inside Graze Provisions + Libations, is a culinary venture by Chef Yia Vang that aims to introduce Minnesotans to the flavors of Hmong cuisine. With a focus on traditional dishes and unique twists, the restaurant offers big bowls of noodles and flavorful options like sweet chili-marinated tofu with purple sticky rice and fried brussels sprouts. The menu also features chilled khao sen noodles for a refreshing side.
Visiting from out of town, and was recommended to come here. Glad we did! I ordered the pork belly and my buddy and I split the hangover noodles. So tasty! I was full but couldn’t let that pork belly go to waste! It was tender and the flavor was amazing. Also love the “food hall” atmosphere with a few different restaurants inside you can order from. Was a great place to hang out and have a meal with a friend. Outdoor there is a giant fire pit for those colder nights too.
Chris M — Google review
If you love a food court vibe this might me your place. Maybe it was an off night, but there was nothing memorable about the meal. The purple sticky rice was way better at the state fair. The Brussels Sprouts were borderline edible due to excessive salt. Of the four people in our group no one left talking about the meal or suggesting we come back.
Bernie W — Google review
Hmong food stall located in Graze food hall in North Loop. I got a crispy chicken bowl- the chicken was fantastic and flavorful, and I really liked the spicy peanuts. I added a fried egg for extra protein which ended up being a great addition! Note - it’s very filling (there is a lot of rice). Nice space, with a big TV, bar and lots of outdoor seating.
Andi S — Google review
Not as good as we expected from word of mouth. The location in graze seemed an after thought to their main venture. The two staff didn’t seem all that enthused. The chicken and pork were a bit overcooked and dry. No issues with the tofu. Nothing about any of our dishes stood out and it just felt like an over priced rice bowl. $74 for three bowls and a FIVE DOLLAR bottle of topo chico. There’s an 18% up charge that apparently doesn’t go to the employees?! These charges are getting out of hand. They should just change the menu prices. I’m willing to give their other location a try but I would not eat at this one again.
Adrienne R — Google review
Closer to a 4.5 in terms of rating which I will elaborate on now: The savory food was amazing! The pork belly was some of the best I have ever had, well-seasoned, tender, oily, and in some ways quite resembled a type of pork belly from China called Chairman Mao's Pork in terms of tenderness and taste. Because of my dieting habits, two pieces of pork belly were too much for me and my stomach started feeling some type of way, but I think the general crowd would enjoy two pieces or even more. The Hmong sausage tasted just like what I have had before in Hmong households, which was a great thing, albeit slightly underseasoned, but adding the spicy chili flakes on the side made it much better. The chicken leg tasted amazing as well by itself because of the lemongrass, and tasted even better if one added the green sauce onto it! Then, the khao sen rice noodles and the amazing salad both tasted good. It was pretty obvious that the meat was the star of the zoo siab dish, so the sides didn't taste as out of this world as the main entrées, but they were still solid. I was, however, pretty disappointed at the dessert which was coconut tapioca pudding with salted pineapple and toasted coconut. It tasted like it was pre-made and came straight out of a fridge or freezer, because there was absolutely no sweetness. The tapioca pudding was mushy, clumpy, and tasteless, which didn't allow the coconut flakes on the top to demonstrate its power. I also tasted no salted pineapple at all when I was having this dessert. After such excellent savory food, it definitely wasn't the best way to end my UHK experience. With all that said, I would still highly recommend this food place to those that desire some quality Hmong food in the North Loop area.
Jay S — Google review
It was sooo good! We ordered the Graze to split with 3 people and still have leftovers. Bring your appetite if eating this!! The restaurant is in a location that has several other restaurants and bars that share the dining spaces, so plenty of choices if you don't want Hmong food. The restaurants also do an automatic 18%tip as they pool tips for their staff. So it was about $150 for everything (food, tax and tip).
Missy C — Google review
The food and vibe of this place is great. I got the grilled chicken with the tiger sauce and husband got the skirt steak also with the tiger sauce. We also got the lemongrass sauce on the side. Everything was great. I just thought the skirt steak was a bit tough and I had a hard time chewing but the flavor was on point. The union Hmong kitchen is located *inside* graze with a few other eateries sharing a dining space with open seating. They also have a bar and you can reserve some spaces for special events. Overall it was a good experience.
Uzma A — Google review
Enjoyed my first Hmong food experience. The online ordering process was simple enough, though I wish there were more options to order either a la carte or for customization. Curbside pickup was a breeze via text or call upon arrival. Regarding other reviewers' concerns of small portion size, my partner and I found the dinner for 2 enough for 2 people who hadn't eaten all day. The fried chicken sandwich was a pretty big and satisfyingly crunchy. The chicken was a bit overcooked in some places and could've used a little more spice but it was enjoyable overall. The highlights of the meal were the sauces! Mama Vang's sauce and the fish sauce were the stars.

Bonchon Dinkytown is a popular casual chain known for its made-to-order Korean fried chicken and traditional dishes. The menu offers a small but delicious selection, including lunch combos. The restaurant has a nice ambiance for casual dining with friends and serves some of the best fries, which come in generous portions. While prices may be slightly higher, the fresh and delicious food makes it worth it.
Got food delivered to work. They have generous portions. I ordered the Fried Rice with Bulgogi (beef) Price is decent, $11.95 for just the rice and up charge for meat. Flavor is good, not to salty. A little on the oily side but overall pretty tasty. I recommend a try. They got a decent variety.

I placed an order for pickup. The entire order was a disaster. I asked for regular fries and they gave seasoned. I ordered a Pepsi with my food they gave me a Coke and didn't tell me so I went back and he said we don't have Pepsi so I stated I don't drink Coke can I get something else he said let's see what we have I walk over it's about 20 Pepsi 's in the cooler 😡. Then I paid for extra egg in my fried rice and didn't have any eggs at all. I hated the taste it tasted old. The Maple Grove location is so much better. I do not like this dinky town location, it's to expensive to be nasty

Tried Bonchon at Dinkytown the other day and overall I’d give it a solid 4/5! 😋 The bulgogi cheesy rice (I forgot the exact name.lol) was so satisfying. It’s warm, flavorful, and cheesy in just the right way. Definitely something I’d come back for. But the surprise star for me? The kimchi! I’ve never really been into it before, but their version changed my mind. It had just the right balance of tangy and spicy. it kinda made me want to start eating kimchi more regularly 👀🔥 Service was decent, the vibe was chill, and it’s a good spot if you’re craving Korean comfort food without going too far from U campus. Will probably swing by again to try more from the menu!

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a fast-food chain known for its crispy chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast. With multiple locations across Apple Valley, Blaine, Brooklyn Park, Burnsville, and more, the restaurant offers combo meals that are praised for their great taste and value. However, some customers have noted areas for improvement in service and cleanliness.
I had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by this young man and I cannot say enough about his outstanding customer service. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a warm smile and a genuinely kind demeanor that instantly made me feel valued as a customer. It was evident that he truly enjoys his job, as he went above and beyond to ensure my experience was nothing short of excellent. His positive attitude and professionalism were refreshing, making my visit an absolute delight. Not only was he incredibly attentive, but he also displayed a remarkable ability to anticipate my needs before I even voiced them. Whether it was answering questions, offering helpful suggestions, or simply making sure everything was perfect, he handled it all with patience and enthusiasm. His dedication to providing top-tier service is rare to find, and it speaks volumes about his character and work ethic. This level of attentiveness and care is what turns a simple visit into an unforgettable experience. Employees like this man are the backbone of any great business, and I truly believe he deserves recognition for his hard work. His commitment to customer satisfaction is beyond impressive, and I have no doubt that he consistently leaves a lasting impression on everyone he assists. In a world where genuine kindness and great service can be hard to come by, he stands out as a shining example of how customer service should be done. It is only fitting that someone with his dedication and exceptional skills be rewarded accordingly. I sincerely hope management recognizes his contributions and considers giving him a well-earned raise. Employees like him not only enhance the company’s reputation but also create loyal customers who will return time and time again. Thank you, sir, for your kindness, professionalism, and unwavering dedication—you are truly appreciated!

A cozier version of canes. Awesome service, they brought our food out to us (it wasn’t very busy). They had individual ketchup bottles and napkins at the table instead of a dispenser at the drink stand.
Adrienne R — Google review
Great service, first time trying the sauce, but did not really understand the type, it tastes like a ketchup/mayo mix with pickles in it. Chicken and bread was good.

Have tried the 3 finger combo & the sandwich combo & the food is great for the price. The service could be better. On my 2nd visit staff were refilling ketchup bottles which meant there was no ketchup on the table for my fries. I did ask for ketchup & was provided to go ketchup but don't prefer those over the conventional ketchup bottle when dinning in. Floors are kind of dirty & if you are dining in make sure the tables are clean as I came across a few that had not been cleaned.

This location of Raising Cane’s always blows me away! On my last visit, despite the rush, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The chicken? As amazing as ever. But that dipping sauce... honestly, there’s nothing like it! Always a top-notch experience that keeps me coming back.

well, it’s canes. the idea of getting canes is ALWAYS better than the actual experience. the crinkle fries were giving wet sock energy. this location (however nostalgic) just has the soggiest fries. I’m not even exaggerating, i had to physically shake the sadness off. staff were fine. not mean, not overly chipper, just like a “please order and leave” energy, which honestly? i respect.
Tarun B — Google review
I recently had a very disappointing experience at your restaurant, and I feel compelled to share it. I placed a mobile order for pickup at the location closest to me, which happens to be on the University of Minnesota campus. Although I had never been to this location before, I chose it for convenience (which, unfortunately, turned out to be not convenient at all and actually ruined our evening). When we arrived, my husband dropped me off to go inside to pick up the food, and meanwhile, he was circling the block waiting for me to pick up the order as no parking was available. After a considerable wait, he called to check on me because it was taking so long. There were only two workers in the front: a busy female employee at the register and a male employee who appeared to be responsible for passing out food. I stood at the to-go area, staring at my food sitting there for about 10 minutes while the male worker walked past me several times, avoiding eye contact. I began to wonder if I was in the wrong area or if there was some unusual procedure at this location since the worker didn't acknowledge me, so I wandered over to the cash register area, but there was a huge line out the door at this point. I returned to the pass-out counter and watched the male worker talk with someone in the back for a few more minutes. When he finally finished, I asked if he was working, and he responded with "What?" I repeated my question, explaining that I was there to pick up my food. He clearly heard me and walked away with a smirk on his face, then started bagging someone else's food and passed out several other orders, while my order continued to sit there for about 10 more minutes. Meanwhile, my husband was getting increasingly frustrated as he continued to circle the block three times in rush hour traffic, all the while our food was sitting behind the counter being held hostage by one of the most inconsiderate and disrespectful workers I've ever encountered. I was just trying to grab a quick to-go order. After being ignored, I snapped a photo of the employee, and only then did he finally help me (you can see my order sitting there behind his shoulder, getting cold while he handed someone else their hot food). I wonder how much longer it would have taken him to help me if I hadn't taken his photo? Never, maybe. He finally asked me what I was there for, and I had to repeat my name twice. He eventually handed me my order without any apology for the wait. This employee's behavior was completely unacceptable, especially during dinner time, which is just shocking. I also find it personally offensive, as a former restaurant worker putting myself through college - I just can't believe customer service has gotten this shameful. I encourage you to review the footage from the restaurant as it's truly a sight to see. I believe he should be fired, because he clearly knew better and was being rude on purpose. It's important to understand that your customers are not just college students who will tolerate this kind of service. I love Cane's, but I will drive out of my way to avoid this location in the future.

Raising Cane’s, I love you. You are truly Chickfila’s only rival. The menu is so simple and so elegant, only four combos. Cane’s sauce is utter perfection. Texas bread is fluffy like a cloud in heaven. Don’t even get me started on your sweet tea. I’d be lost if I had never discovered Raising Cane’s, I love you.

Bebe Zito Ice Cream, located in Minneapolis, MN, is a cozy spot that offers a variety of hand-crafted ice creams, burgers, and shakes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, setting the stage for an enjoyable ice cream experience. The selection of flavors is impressive and reflects the owners' dedication to quality. The staff are knowledgeable and offer helpful recommendations. Customers praise the fantastic and creative ice cream flavors as well as the delicious burgers.
Craving unique ice cream brought me to Bebe Zito, and I'm so glad I risked the lactose intolerance, truly. I'll take something for it, I'll be fine. I *wouldn't* have been fine missing out on my new favorite coffee ice cream, Halva Coffee. I think I read once only sociopath's like coffee ice cream, and that probably tracks. It's my favorite, and this had me close to weeping. I did get an ice cream flight because why not? Why else do I lift weights 3 times a week and do hot yoga 3 days a week? Ice cream flights, that's why. Other than the star, Halva Coffee, I had Vanilla MSG, Brazilian Brigadeiro, Romeu and Julieta, Blackberry Butter Birthday Cake, Rhubarb Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet. Vanilla MSG was great vanilla, and the chocolate was great chocolate. Romeu and Julieta needed more guava. Blackberry Butter Birthday Cake was fantastic I just always want more mixins. More blackberry, more cake. I got the Sorbet for my husband to taste, which he did, and enjoyed. He watched in semi-awe, semi-disgust as I put a large dent in the rest of the 5 scoops and completely demolished the coffee. $23 for the 6 scoops, so kind of expensive maybe? I don't buy ice cream out a lot, so I don't really care. 🤷 Color changing spoons were adorbs. This location is in the Market at Malcom Yards Food hall.

The Strawberry tres leches is fantastic, the goat cheese added flavor is very unique. The maracuya is too tart and grainy but the other flavors are good.
Nicholas R — Google review
The atmosphere of a food galley and patio are great for summer time socializing. I was looking forward to a milkshake treat after a difficult day/appt and this Strawberry Churro Deluxe was not it for me. A fresh churro was a nice touch, but the deluxe (~16 oz.) shake was not a good value for +$18. I was thoroughly disappointed. The cup was also covered in strawberry drizzle as garnish (?). I have been to Bebe for single / split scoops before at other locations which I feel is a better value. If I were to base future visits off this one, I would not come back.
Mars M — Google review
Delicious! The basic Bebe burger is perfect. Spicy pickles and the mayo, ketchup paprika sauce compliments it well. The ice cream is out of this world! Specifically the salted Ccarmel flan creme brulee, and the tres leches strawberry snickerdoodle. Velvety, rich, but not overly sweet.
Amber R — Google review
We shared an ice cream flight. The flavors were delicious! Fast service as well
Rose B — Google review
Nice place with tons of ice cream options and solid foodstuff. Cheese curds were nontraditional yet very good. BebeQ burger was solid. Chocolate shake is made with darker chocolate, so be aware it's not super sweet. Still good, just wasn't ready for it. Up there in price along with everywhere else in the hall, so be aware of that. Very friendly employees.
Albert D — Google review
Very expensive ice cream! $18 for two small cups! Ice cream was nothing even that special. Definitely not worth the price. Sorry, Bebe Zito... we wouldn't come back. 😒

Disappointing Experience – Tiny Burger, Big Letdown I was really looking forward to trying the burger at Bebe Zito in this bustling Minneapolis food hall setup, where multiple spots share the market grill vibe. The menu picture overhead showed a massive, mouthwatering burger piled high with thick bacon strips and dripping in what looked like amazing habanero barbecue sauce. It got me hyped up, especially seeing the giant portions from neighboring places like the taco spot with their overflowing tacos. My girlfriend grabbed a burger from another vendor there, and it was huge and satisfying – so I thought I was in for something similar. Boy, was I wrong. What arrived was basically a White Castle slider masquerading as a full burger – comically small for the price and the hype. The taste was a total flop; bland patty, underwhelming bacon, and nothing that lived up to the promise. The only highlight was the habanero barbecue sauce, which was genuinely flavorful and had a nice heat. But that’s it – everything else fell flat. The fries were equally mediocre: plain, limp, and unsalted, like they were just dumped in an air fryer without any effort. Meanwhile, my girlfriend’s fries from the other place were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Overall, extreme disappointment – felt like false advertising from the menu pic. Won’t be back, and I’d steer clear if you’re hungry for a real meal. One star solely for that sauce.

Chicken wings restaurant
Restaurant
B.A.D Wingz is a restaurant that specializes in vegan chicken wings. They have a half-dozen vegan sauces, and four vegan dipping sauces to choose from.
First time here and we'll definitely be back!!! We're gonna tell our friends and family as well. We'll tell them to bring their appetite cuz I couldn't even finish the 3 wing Southern Fried combo. Great taste, temperature and size portion for the money. 3 weeks in they're doing it right!
Jonathan G — Google review
Ok so I want to be honest here... the steak fries bomb. Seasons bomb. The beef rib bomb. I was not a fan of the size of the wings. In this case, bigger is not better. The wings are those big wings. We requested them to be fried hard and they were just fried normal so I'm afraid if we didn't ask for that they would have been plump and rubbery. Again everything else was spot on but the thickness and undercooked (in my opinion) was a no for me. I got mad love for the owners and what they are doing.
Jessica P — Google review
I really want to highlight the diversity of the wing options. It will take me several visits before I can try all of their sauces (Lemon pepper wet and MPLS Mambo are my favorites so far). The cauliflower wings taste just as good as the traditional wings. All of the bases are covered here. Reasonable prices and wing sizes are a bonus! Fantastic option for lunch in the North Loop area of Minneapolis.
Onyedimma N — Google review
Placed an online order for cauliflower wingz and chicken wingz. Buffalo Soldier Sauce MPLS Mambo sauce Lemon Pepper Wet Sauce Chicago Mild dipping sauce RBJ dipping sauce All of them OUTSTANDING flavor! Parking was not tough to come by but reserved "food pickup" parking is minimal. This wing joint is in the GRAZE building. Something I didn't know. When I called to ask where the front door was, the people on the phone were very friendly and helpful. Face coverings are required. All employees of B.A.D. Wingz wore appropriate face coverings. Will definitely order again!
Halsey L — Google review
Well seasoned food, good customer service and VEGAN options! Was supposed to be vegan cheese but it was milk cheese so I don't know how the fries tasted(bummer) but the vegan chik'n was amazing.
Tatiana P — Google review
I’ll give you 4 stars because the meat and the Buffalo sauce were definitely good. But as an individual who moved here from Western NY I am imploring you to stop serving warm packets of Kraft blue cheese with your Buffalo wings. Cold chunky blue cheese is the perfect yin / yang pair to counteract the spice of the sauce. That’s why it’s traditionally used. It’s supposed to be part of the experience, not some warm disgusting Kraft packet you only toss in if someone asks. Especially with the prices. Yikes.
Joshua L — Google review
Was very excited to see poutine on the menu because I love Montreal poutine. However it's more like American version of poutine with some scattered fried chicken and cheese curds, it's not bad but gravy is very very salty. A little bit disappointed 🤕

Pollo Campero is a delightful counter-service chain that hails from Guatemala, specializing in both fried and grilled chicken, along with an array of tasty sides. During my recent visit, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who recommended their popular 12-piece meal accompanied by rice, plantains, and crispy fries—all served with hot tortillas for that authentic touch. The food arrived quickly and piping hot, making it perfect for a lunch on the go.
A great & awesome crew suggested to come here for lunch. I bought a 12 piece with rice, plantains and fries (came with hot tortillas). Also got a spicy chicken sandwich with a side of plantains. The service was very friendly, food came out hot and fast and it was to go and they put all to go items in a large convenient bag for me to carry. Food was excellent. Hands down you cannot do better in the area. I haven’t had such nice spice on a chicken in a long time. Sides were large and very good. I cannot wait to bring my son back for lunch! Gracias!

The line to this place was long when we went and it had been open a few weeks. Lots of Latino patrons, so this franchise must be known in the community. For me, I heard about it on social media so we headed over to try it. It's fast food but yes I did enjoy the flavor of the chicken more than American franchise chicken places. The chicken here is marinated in flavorful spices and lent some umami flavor. I'm still onthe lookout for a truly spicy chicken sandwich. Theirs isn't as spicy as they claim but we are in Minnesota... The sides weren't that good, although I did enjoy the Mexican rice. They had agua frescas and horchata which were quite good.
Kerrie C — Google review
Good food and decent value. Fast casual with good service. The Campero bowl was a nice filling lunch with decent flavor and texture, but I wish it had a lime wedge with it or something to punch up the flavor such as a southwest dressing. The 3 piece chicken plate with dark meat was fabulous, the flavor was something special. The plantains were fantastic, not too sweet. I liked the Jamaican beverage with lower calories than the Mango, but both were excellent. There is also Horchata. The cashier was kind, courteous however a little shy, but I hope he comes out of his shell a little more. I saw all walks of life come in through the door which is heartwarming. Nice place, way better than other fast food joints. With a drive through, I expect it to be hopping soon. Coleslaw is good, nice hit of horseradish in there with good creamy flavor and nice crunchy texture. Best that I have had in a long time. Really great fried chicken, especially the dark meat. Avocado seemed pre-made, but didn’t taste bad.
Kathleen F — Google review
This place was good, the service was good, the food was good and everything as a whole was good. I did not have issues here and would come again. The empanadas are the best item on the menu, I highly recommend them.
Roger F — Google review
The fried chicken was super good! I got the meal 4 pieces ( 2 fried and 2 limón grilled ) + 2 sides (yuca and plantain)
Hellen F — Google review
I was surprised at how little taste the food had. The fries didn’t have any flavor at all, chicken had a small salt taste with the first bite, but no seasoning, beans were so drippy- sad to sad this wasn’t worth the $50 spent. The signature sauce tasted like ketchup and mustard blended together.
Jessica K — Google review
Empanadas tasted like some cheap pizza roll. Spicy Chicken Sandwich was nothing to write home about. Yuca Fries were decent. Service was kinda scattered and disorganized, but guessing this will get better as it was the first week.
Patrick K — Google review
Been here a few times since they opened. The horchata is always good. The cookies were hard.

Restaurant
If you're a fan of fried chicken, Caja Fried Chicken is an absolute must-visit. This eatery takes the classic dish to new heights with its expertly crafted offerings that are bursting with flavor. The standout item here is undoubtedly the Signature Caja Fried Chicken, which boasts a perfectly crispy crust and juicy meat that’s seasoned just right for an exciting taste experience. Having heard about this spot from the Brasa/Alma team, I couldn't resist trying their chicken tenders and bone-in options.
When I heard that the Brasa/Alma folks were opening a fried chicken spot, I knew I had to get over there and give it a try. We got a couple of tenders and bones in chicken. Both chicken options were awesome. The chicken was tender and moist, the coating was light and seasoned perfectly. I've been trying a lot of "hot" chicken options around town lately and Caja chicken, by far was the most satisfying. It didn't overwhelm with thick batter, grease, or that salt-bomb sensation, and sans bright red artificial coloring that other places seem to have. After we were done with our original order, we had to go get a few more tenders because they were so good! Is it possible to have a light feeling after eating fried chicken?! Yes, yes it is! It is also great that the restaurant is very intentional about where and from whom they source their meat/ ingredients and are allergy-friendly!!!! I didn't know how parking would go, but I easily snagged a street spot right outside of Graze on a Saturday at noon. Graze is cool too, I will keep it in mind for the summer. I liked how they had the self-serve water stations and the free pac man arcade game 🤪
Leah — Google review
I love Brasa, so we were very disappointed in the chicken sliders from here. The buns were ice cold, the chicken was dry and overcooked, and the coleslaw was under the chicken, making the bun soggy. The fries were good, however, hot and crispy. These issues are easy to fix. Dry chicken and cold buns are really inexcusable in a chicken place, especially at $15.75 for the plate. A smile from the staff would help.
Linda M — Google review
The spicy chicken was very juicy. The chicken tender was okay. It was crunchy. They brush it with the spicy sauce. It tasted like it's been brined. The flavor profile wasn't exactly what I imagined. It wasn't spicy to me at all. Very mild spice. I ordered a side of their hot sauce, and it was very sweet. The flavor wasnt for me, but overall, the chicken was cooked thoroughly and crunchy.
M ( — Google review
I've known about Caja coming to Graze for months and it did not disappoint. The chicken was fried and breaded perfectly. The Alma team has shown once again that simple & nourishing food is the key to something special. The fact that they focus on premium ingredients and inhouse cooking for all steps of the process to get the food to you elevates it easily to 5/5 stars across the board. They take all feedback and opinions seriously, there are few large restaurant groups I can comfortably support in the cities but Alex Roberts and the team behind him truly care about every little thing from supporting staff, premium ingredients and the experience you receive. Genuinely hope to see Caja succeed as a concept that can rival the more established fried chicken places. Fully expect this place to be busy when the weather warms up and people get out & about again. Try it before everyone else discovers it.

Caja Fried Chicken: Worth the Hype If you like fried chicken done right, Caja Fried Chicken should be on your list. This isn’t just your standard fried chicken—it’s well-executed, full of flavor, and made with attention to detail. 🌟 The Signature Caja Fried Chicken The highlight is the Signature Caja Fried Chicken—crispy, juicy, and seasoned just enough to keep each bite interesting. The crust has a solid crunch without being too heavy, and the meat stays tender and flavorful. It’s simple but done exceptionally well. 🍌 The Banana Pudding Dessert is just as solid. Caja’s Banana Pudding is smooth, rich, and delicious. It’s sweet but not over the top—just a good way to wrap up the meal. 🔥 Why It’s Worth Trying Caja Fried Chicken is a great example of how simple food, when done with care, can stand out. Everything is thoughtfully made, from the seasoning to the sides, and it delivers without feeling overcomplicated. If you haven’t been yet, it’s definitely worth checking out.
Branden H — Google review
Got the three piece dinner, Mac & cheese, and a side of red beans and rice. The flavors of everything were ok, but the portion size is so small, and the cook on the chicken was so dry. You basically get three chicken nuggets, and like a cup sized serving of each side. For $15 a plate I was disappointed. Very friendly people and service was perfect. Just didn’t love the food.
Nick B — Google review
I was eagerly awaiting the opening of the latest venture from this team, and it did not disappoint. Everything Alex Roberts touches turns to delicious gold. Caja is no exception. I love this place. A small but complete menu, cool space (looking forward to hitting their outdoor space. Go!!

Lake City Sandwiches offers a variety of delicious sandwiches that have received positive feedback from customers. The porchetta and Italian sandwiches are particularly praised for their flavors, with the olive tapenade being highlighted as a perfect addition. While the bread may be a bit delicate, it doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the sandwiches. The giant smoked turkey sandwich is also highly recommended, featuring basil mayo and focaccia bread that adds to its appeal despite being messy to eat.
Fantastic fresh and full of flavors. I have yet to finish a whole sandwich, which is fine by me. More for later. That focaccia is a beautiful delivery system and it does indeed hold up as long as you rewrap it. It’s a go to for me!
Hosmer B — Google review
Advertising by putting stickers on stop signs that don’t cleanly remove. Just NO. Pay for advertising like everyone else cheapskates, instead of vandalizing important traffic signs. If I wanted an overpriced sandwich full of sodium nitrite, I’d get it from a business that knows better than to trash their own city with their desperate marketing.
Joe P — Google review
I worked in the sandwich industry for about 7 years, making sandwiches at an amateur level for 16 years before that. I consider myself somewhat of a sandwich expert. I ordered the porchetta and the Italian. Both sandwiches were very good, the Italian in particular. The olive tapenade? Perfection. My only complaint was that the bread did fall apart pretty easily. These sandwiches need a delicate touch. However, I'm a bit of a mess already so the mess did not take away from my enjoyment of the sandwiches.
Danny C — Google review
The best part of these sandwiches is the focaccia bread - perfectly crunchy, chewy, and delicious. It's nice to see a variety of vegetarian and vegan options available. I'm looking forward to trying more items from the menu soon!
Christy M — Google review
The giant smoked turkey sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've had in the Twin Cities made by Malik! I love the compliment of the basil mayo and the focaccia bread was the winner! Although it can be messy eating this giant one, it's so worth it. Definitely going to try other sandwiches from Lake City

If even remotely warm, this roasted chicken sandwich would have maybe been good. Cold, rock hard bread, so disappointed. Never again.

Good ingredients on my Italian sandwich, but I was a bit overwhelmed by the saltiness. I'd come back and try more as it was still pretty good.
