Monument
The Pantheon, a temple built in 118-125 A.D., is one of Rome's most iconic and well-preserved ancient Roman monuments. Originally dedicated to all deities, it now serves as a Catholic church. The structure features a dome and Renaissance tombs, including that of Raphael. Visitors are often impressed by its peculiar design, myths, and stories related to the hole in its roof and special astronomical light effects.
An amazing structure from early Roman days. Such a well preserved artefact in the heart of Rome. Although it is very busy and touristy around the pantheon most days, we would still recommend everyone to make time during their stay in Rome and visit this incredible site. The structure is truly phenomenal with such incredible detail. That it has survived for so many years is a true testament to the architecture and the build of this incredible and fascinating structure. Lineups can be long to get inside but well worth the wait. There are several wonderful little cafés in the area where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or even a beer or wine while you admire The Pantheon while enjoying a drink or a snack. We would highly recommend The Pantheon to be a part of your visit in Rome. Paul and Andrea Canada 🇨🇦

One of the most unique underrated structures in the entire world. Unreinforced concrete dome that is near perfect sphere. No documentary does this place any justice. You must see it in person and experience the grandeur of standing inside and seeing it firsthand. Worth every cent and the time taking in the moment. I am still in awe that I visited it and spent some time inside, I will never forget my trip to Rome because of this amazing structure.
Michael S — Google review
An interesting experience. The structure and its interior are impressive. We bought the tickets as an add-on to our reservation through Booking.com. The place looks beautiful both at night and during the day. I recommend it.
Danuta Z — Google review
The Pantheon truly impressed me. Stepping inside and seeing the oculus lighting the interior felt surreal. The building is incredibly well-preserved and beautifully balanced. Even with the crowds, it felt peaceful. Entry now costs 5 euros, but the experience is absolutely worth it. One of Rome’s most unforgettable landmarks.
Juan T — Google review
The Pantheon is absolutely breathtaking. Standing inside this perfectly preserved ancient temple feels like stepping back in time — the scale, the symmetry, and especially the oculus are truly awe-inspiring. Even with the crowds, the atmosphere remains powerful and serene. It’s one of Rome’s most impressive landmarks and an absolute must-see. A masterpiece of history and architecture!
K E — Google review
A must visit when in Rome. An architectural masterpiece. Being incredibly well maintained, One is able to see the Pantheon as the Roman’s would have seen it in their time. Pictures don’t do it justice. I would recommend getting their early morning 9am so you beat the crowds. The audio guide (most languages) is available once you are inside. At 10 euro it is fantastic value as it gives a great understanding of all things about the Pantheon. Entry is quite cheap too, you can cover it all in an hour!
Leo P — Google review
The Pantheon is an absolute masterpiece, breathtaking in every sense. The moment you step inside and look up at that majestic dome with the open oculus, you’re left in pure awe. It’s incredible to think that this structure has stood strong for nearly 2,000 years! The harmony of light, space, and symmetry is simply magical. Whether you love history, architecture, or just beauty itself — the Pantheon is a must-visit. Truly one of the most inspiring places on Earth.
Supreme B — Google review
I was passing by and saw this place, the Pantheon, which is quite a sight! 🏛️ It was a bit crowded for my taste, making it hard to move around, but the historical architecture is certainly impressive. ✨ If you don't mind the bustling atmosphere, it's worth a look. 😉 I appreciated the grandeur of the building. 🤩

The Spanish Steps, also known as Scalinata della Trinita dei Monti in Italian, is a stunning 18th-century stairway located in Rome. With its unique butterfly-shaped design and 138 steps, it is a masterpiece of Roman Baroque architecture. The steps lead to the Church of Trinita dei Monti and overlook the Piazza di Spagna, where the famous Barcaccia fountain is located.
As one of Rome's most famous attractions, it's recommended to arrive in the morning. The blue sky and white clouds make for excellent photos. However, due to the large number of tourists, it's best to arrive at 9:00 at the latest. This way, you can get a photo without too many tourists. The entire attraction is not very large. Looking up, you will see the church, and below you will see the famous shopping street. You can easily spend a morning here.
Zen C — Google review
I visited the Spanish Steps and really enjoyed exploring the area around them. The atmosphere was lively and full of energy, with people sitting on the steps, taking photos, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The view from the top is amazing, and the nearby streets are filled with elegant shops, cafés, and historical buildings. It’s one of those iconic spots in Rome where you can just sit, relax, and take in the charm of the city. Definitely worth a visit.
Saeed B — Google review
We visited the Spanish Steps and Piazza di Spagna, and it's every bit as iconic as you'd imagine. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of life, though it was a little crowded when we were there, which is to be expected at such a famous spot. The view from the top of the steps, looking down over the piazza and the rooftops of Rome, is absolutely stunning. At the bottom, the Fontana della Barcaccia is a beautiful and unique centerpiece. It was lovely to see people gathered around the "sinking boat" sculpture to take photos. Despite the crowds, it's one of those essential Roman experiences. Finding a spot on the steps to sit and take in the scene is a moment you won't forget. Just be prepared to share it with plenty of other admirers.
Khalid A — Google review
We visited the Spanish Steps at night, and it was very nice. The area was calm and not very crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The steps were beautifully lit, creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere far from the busy daytime scenes. It was the perfect time to take a quiet stroll, sit for a while, and admire the stunning architecture of the Trinità dei Monti church above and the charming Piazza di Spagna below. The view of the city lights in the distance added to the charm. I quickly realized how out of shape I was however. This is quite the climb. Everything was amazing however I ranked at a four because realistically its steps, there are a lot of amazing attractions and incredible architecture throughout the city. If you're in Rome, I do highly recommend visiting the Spanish Steps after dark—you get to enjoy one of the city's most iconic spots in a much more relaxed and intimate setting.
David — Google review
Magnificent piece of architecture. It has a great view from behind the pond. Try to go early in the day (before 7am) and you will find perfect views for pictures and to appreciate the beauty. Tourists necessarily sitting on the stairs just spoil the view. Dear tourists, once you have seen the view, please step aside and let others view and enjoy as well. On any time it is crowded but still manageable.
Adeel M — Google review
So many movie shooting happened here, so when we reached the place, we were super excited. The staircase is wise and there were a huge crowd. But some police officers were there to maintain the crowd in a peaceful manner. You can visit the steps from either bottom or from the top as there are road on each side. We entered from the bottom and climbed all the way to the top. Took tons of photos like the other tourists. At the very top there is a church and some flower shops nearby. There are some seating option at the top so you can take some rest as well, in case you are exhausted. Over all very nice and iconic place to spend some quality time. Highly recommended to visit. Specially during sunset.
Sankha G — Google review
I am amazed with the beauty of the place. People are chilling on the stairs. The Spanish Steps or Scalinata della Trinità dei Monti in Italian are more than just a magnificent staircase; they are an iconic symbol of Roman glamour, a masterpiece of Baroque urban design, and a vibrant cultural hub that has captivated artists, poets, and travelers for centuries. Connecting the bustling Piazza di Spagna at the base with the Trinità dei Monti church perched majestically at the top, this monumental cascade of travertine stone offers a quintessential Roman experience❤️🫰💯

Very nice area of Rome, but even in November thousands and thousands of tourist minute by minute . Architecture of area is incredible nice , unforgettable moments. One of the place you have to see , if you are in Rome , but my advice is go early and near to the place is Fontana di Trevi so as earlier you go the better.

Rome is a timeless destination, drawing crowds to the iconic Colosseum regardless of the scorching summer heat. Despite temperatures reaching 30-45C, visitors flock to savor gelato and explore this ancient wonder. Evenings offer a delightful escape with local eateries serving up authentic pasta and house wine, creating an enchanting atmosphere for travelers.
What an amazing experience, the place is breathtaking. Lot of history, great to walk around, take pictures while listening the personalise tour.

Amazing historic place. The best level to see this majestic monument is the top level which is accessible by steps and/or elevator. Even during the week it is very crowded but we'll worth the experience. There are many vantage points to get a clear unobstructed view. Great experience.

Trevi Fountain is a stunning rococo fountain in Rome, designed by Nicola Salvi and completed in 1762. The fountain features sculpted figures and is fed by an aqueduct. Its dramatic design includes an imperious sculpture of Oceanus commanding rushing waters. The location of the fountain adds to its unique drama, as it is squeezed into the confluence of three streets, which may have inspired its name 'Trevi' from 'tre vie.'
Absolutely Magical — A Roman Must-See The Trevi Fountain is every bit as stunning as people say—maybe even more. The moment you turn the corner and see it, the whole scene feels like a movie. The sound of the water, the incredible sculptures, the glow of the marble… it’s pure Roman magic. Yes, it gets crowded, but the atmosphere is part of the charm. Everyone is excited, tossing coins and making little wishes. I threw my coin in too—because who doesn’t want to come back to Rome? If you want the best experience, visit early in the morning or late at night. In the evening, the fountain lights make it look even more beautiful, and the crowds are calmer. Perfect for photos and just taking in the moment. Whether you’re in Rome for a day or a week, the Trevi Fountain is a must. It’s one of those places that reminds you why people fall in love with this city.
Aida B — Google review
One of the most beautiful things and place what I've ever seen in my life . This place is majestic, phenomenal and unforgettable. Statues and size of the "Fontana di Trevi" is breathtaking and unexpectable. Architecture , all Statues have a lot of small details and finally together is one Masterpiece!! Everybody have to see it minimally once per life ! Amazing , amazing, amazing
Jakub A — Google review
The Trevi Fountain absolutely exceeded my expectations. Its sheer size and detail are breathtaking, especially with the sound of rushing water echoing around the square. I joined everyone in tossing a coin for luck, it’s impossible not to. Even with the crowds, the atmosphere feels magical and unmistakably Roman.
Juan T — Google review
Yes, it's beautiful, but unfortunately the chaos surrounding this place makes it much less attractive. There's so many people (like almost everywhere), it's impossible to relax and enjoy this beauty. The experience is more like: quick, let's try to make a picture and leave. While in Rome I went there several times and during several periods of the day and it was always packed. I even check the webcams once at 2am and there were still people there!
Sidónio S — Google review
Absolutely beautiful, and obviously VERY busy hot-spot for tourists! The only thing that ruins it is rude, entitled influencer/ tourists that block the visit/ view for everyone else, selfishly taking photos and selfies for over 20 minutes. However, this doesn't detract from the stunning monument and it's attraction for Rome! You can queue (average 1-1.5 hours) to get closer to the fountain if you have time.
Claireabella C — Google review
The fountain is really beautiful. We came in the evening on a rainy day, and luckily there were not that many people. They seemed to allow people to get closer to the fountain in the lower floor every now and then. We didn’t wait for it since the view from the ground floor was already good enough.
Y.C. W — Google review
A dream come true! We went during the day and returned at night to enjoy one of the most magnificent fountains in Rome! Wonderful family experience while touring Itay! This was one of the highlights we were looking forward to and superseded our expectations!
Rolando G — Google review
The Trevi Fountain is a stunning, must-see landmark in Rome, celebrated for its magnificent Baroque design and intricate sculptures. However, its popularity means it is almost always crowded, making it difficult to get close during peak hours. Visitors recommend tossing a coin to ensure a return to Rome, but suggest visiting very early in the morning or late at night to enjoy the fountain's grandeur with fewer people.

The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is a monumental 3-tiered Roman amphitheater located in the center of Rome. It has stood for over 2,000 years as a symbol of Ancient Rome's architectural ingenuity and engineering advancements. This iconic structure entertained more than 50,000 spectators with gladiatorial fights, mock sea battles, and exotic animal hunts for over 400 years.
It's definitely one of the must see place. It truly stands it's popularity and what a architectural masterpiece. I would definitely recommend buying tickets in advance or best way to do is via tour guide. You would need a photo ID to enter whether you are going by yourself or through tour guide. We enjoyed the entire experience and learning about how gladiators used to use this place. Untill I visited the place I never knew it's complexity and vastness. We travelled as a family with a child. We were told not to take pram as pathways are not smooth, but it's manageable. I would definitely recommend this place.
Prashant S — Google review
Was a great site to see while on tour around the Eternal City. They recently cleaned the facade of the building so the stone is now clean and bright. Its usually very crowded for most of the day unless you come early in the morning. The guides were very nice and gave us a lot of cool information about the history of the Colosseum. Definitely a great place to see at least once while visiting Rome.
Matthew M — Google review
We had 8:45 tickets and arrived at 8:15. Once it opened at 8:30 the line moved very well. When buying tickets you have to purchase the additional museums or sites at that time you can't add them on, so be aware. We missed out on several areas because you can't add them to your ticket, and can't purchase them at the location. The Colosseum was not what I expected. I expected a big sand center, and it is not that. But it was interesting. The archeological site is spectacular. We spent 4.5 hours in total and if you had the additional sites it would easily be a full day. I ran out of energy at about the time we finished. Our plan is always go to the right, the right, the right, so that you don't go down a path that leads you away from other things. In this case it paid off because there was an area to the right where you follow a faux wood boardwalk and it takes you under a road and all the way to an incredible obelisk. Many of the sites we have been to have paper maps, and yes you can use your phone but a paper map would have been really helpful.

This was cool. As a tourist from outside Italy this was a cool thing to do. We did a tour and our tour guide was excellent, highly recommend. Our tour guide was called Valerio and he knew so much history, for any question you had he had an answer to. Highly recommend doing a tour. This was a neat part of history to see in Italy and very cool to see it in person.

The Roman Colosseum is truly one of the world’s wonders , absolutely beautiful and completely spectacular to see in person. The amount of ancient history that took place there is incredible, and you can really feel it as you walk around. The lines can get pretty long, especially if you’re traveling with a group, but I was traveling solo and was able to slip through pretty quickly. Definitely recommend buying tickets ahead of time if you want to go inside. That said, it’s also really easy (and free!) to explore the outside, which is just as impressive. An unforgettable experience and a must-see when in Rome. #ruins #world wonder

It's exactly what you would expect. Beautiful and historic. We went earlier in the morning. Walked right in before the crowds. Buy your tickets in advance as they do sell out. We did the arena floor tickets and were able to spend over the time inside as I wasn't too busy yet. This ticket also comes with the Palatine Hill area as well which is a huge site of historical buildings and a museum you can walk through. Well worth your time. Make sure you budget a few hours for this walk but it's definitely worth it to see.

Unforgettable — The Heart of Ancient Rome The Colosseum is one of those places that takes your breath away the moment you see it. Standing in front of this massive structure, you can’t help but imagine the gladiators, the roaring crowds, and the unbelievable history held within those stone walls. Inside, the scale is even more impressive. Walking through the arches and looking down into the arena feels surreal — like stepping into a completely different world. The guided audio or a tour is absolutely worth it; you learn so many details you’d never know just by walking around. Tip: Book your ticket in advance and go early in the morning to avoid long lines. The combined ticket with the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill is an amazing deal and helps you understand the whole story of ancient Rome. This is not just another tourist attraction — it’s a masterpiece of engineering, history, and culture. If you’re in Rome, the Colosseum is an absolute must-see. Truly iconic.

Incredible place, if you imagine how it is, and how big it is. Gladiators in the past was fighting here to stay alive , and for Caesar and rich people to have fun. It's huge building around 2000 years old build in less than 50 years. Capacity was around 50 000 people , and it was possible to fullfiled it with water , how amazing ! Majestic architecture , it is "must be" to see it ! Buy ticket for ship.the line :)

Campo de' Fiori is a vibrant and historic public square in Rome, known for its bustling morning market where locals and visitors come together to purchase fresh produce. The name translates to 'field of flowers,' harkening back to its ancient origins as a floral site before it became a public square used for executions. After the market clears, the square transforms into a lively nightlife hub with an array of bars and eateries.
A lively, charming square full of energy! Campo de’ Fiori is one of the most beautiful places in Rome to take a late-night stroll and soak in the city’s vibrant atmosphere. The square comes alive after dark with people laughing, music playing, and a great mix of locals and tourists enjoying the Roman night. It’s lined with cozy bars and cafés serving fantastic cocktails — perfect for sitting outside, sipping a drink, and people-watching under the stars. The historic surroundings and lively vibe make it a must-visit if you want to experience Rome’s nightlife at its best. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the city’s energy in a beautiful setting!

Campo de' Fiori has a captivating and dark history, with the philosopher Giordano Bruno being burned at the stake right here. I highly recommend looking up his story—it adds a powerful layer to the experience. Beyond its history, the piazza is a vibrant hub for both locals and tourists, filled with excellent restaurants and occasional markets. It's a wonderful place to walk through and soak up the lively atmosphere.

An amazing place with cool energy. We wanted to get here to the market, but unfortunately we came late and it was already over. But we were still very satisfied. At sunset there is an amazing light for photographers, you can take a lot of beautiful photos.

Very cool piazza. A market during the day, selling flowers, souvenirs and other items. Everything is taken down around 4-5pm, and it’s an open air piazza for the evening. Nice restaurants and usually live music.

An Evening of Movida in Rome: A Review of Campo de' Fiori at Night Campo de' Fiori at night is less a square and more an open-air Roman living room—pulsing with infectious energy. The transformation from its bustling daytime market to a vibrant nightlife hub is truly spectacular, making it an essential experience for anyone looking to feel the pulse of Rome after dark. The Atmosphere: Electric and Energetic As the last flower and produce vendors clear their stalls, the piazza doesn't quiet down—it simply shifts gears. The historic cobblestones quickly become a meeting point, a grand central terrace where the evening's entertainment unfolds. The energy is undeniable and absolutely live. The surrounding buildings, with their colorful facades, are beautifully lit, casting a warm glow over the crowds of locals and tourists spilling out from the numerous establishments. It's a very social scene, a true example of Italian movida. The air is filled with a lively mix: the clinking of wine glasses, the chatter of a dozen different languages, and the strains of music from the various pubs and bars lining the perimeter. If you enjoy people-watching, this is paradise. The crowd is diverse, ranging from young people meeting for an aperitivo to couples settling in for a late dinner. Dining and Drinks: The Heart of the Action The restaurants and bars are the engine of Campo de' Fiori's nightlife. Nearly every establishment offers outdoor seating, drawing you right into the heart of the square's electric buzz. • Restaurants & Trattorias: You'll find a wide selection of dining options, from traditional trattorias serving classic Roman dishes to more modern pubs and bars. While some of the square-side places cater heavily to tourists, the ambiance of dining right on the piazza, under the night sky, is hard to beat. For those looking for more authentic or quiet dining, the side streets immediately off the square, such as Via dei Giubbonari, host some exceptional, well-regarded spots. • Aperitivo Culture: Starting around dusk (7 p.m.), the square becomes a prime location for the classic Italian aperitivo (pre-dinner drink with snacks). This is a fantastic way to soak up the early evening energy. • Nightlife Spots: For those looking to enjoy a later evening, the area is famous for its wide variety of pubs and bars. Whether you're in the mood for a craft beer at a lively pub or a perfectly mixed cocktail, the options are plentiful and the atmosphere is guaranteed to be cheerful and convivial. Verdict Campo de' Fiori at night is vibrant, lively, and slightly chaotic—in the best way possible. It's a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the exhilarating social life of Rome. The combination of beautiful historic architecture, excellent food and drink options, and an unbeatable, live atmosphere makes it a truly memorable evening destination. Just be prepared for crowds and noise; this is not the place for a quiet, intimate dinner, but rather for embracing the joyful roar of the Eternal City.

Campo de' Fiori is a must-see when visiting Rome. The square is full of life, color, and charm. I enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere, especially during the day when the market is active. You can find fresh fruits, vegetables, and local delicacies at great prices. The surrounding cafes and restaurants are perfect for a quick espresso or a full Italian meal. The architecture around the square is beautiful and very photogenic. It’s a wonderful spot to relax and people-watch. There’s a lot of history behind this square, and the statue of Giordano Bruno adds a powerful historical touch. It’s both a lively and reflective place at once. I highly recommend spending time here while in Rome.

I've been to Rome several times, and the so called Cozy Apartments was anything but. Upon arrival the bathroom was out of service until 7pm, and there was only a half roll of toilet paper provided, we were told we were lucky because the half roll was complimentary. Normally when staying in Rome the hotel staff will allow you to leave your bags while you continue to explore Rome, but not in this case. I would never recommend the Cozy Apartments to anyone visiting Rome.

Church
St. Peter's Basilica is a Late Renaissance church designed by a team of renowned architects, including Michelangelo and Carlo Maderno. It is considered the holiest church in Christendom and one of only four Major Basilicas in the world.
Visiting St. Peter’s Basilica was one of the most breathtaking experiences of my trip to Rome and the Vatican. The sheer size, beauty, and spiritual atmosphere of this place are beyond words. From the moment you step into St. Peter’s Square and see the majestic façade and dome designed by Michelangelo, you feel you are in the presence of history and faith intertwined in the most beautiful way. Inside, every corner of the basilica is a masterpiece the marble floors, golden ceilings, and magnificent sculptures create an atmosphere of reverence and awe. The Pietà by Michelangelo is one of the most moving works of art I have ever seen, and the main altar beneath the grand dome is simply spectacular. The attention to detail in every artwork and architectural element is astonishing. If you climb to the top of the dome, the view is absolutely worth it! You can see all of Vatican City, the rooftops of Rome, and the distant hills it’s truly magical. The climb can be steep, but reaching the top and looking down at the square is an unforgettable moment. The basilica is well organized, and the staff maintain a respectful and peaceful environment. Entry is free, though lines can be long, so going early in the morning is a great idea. Overall, St. Peter’s Basilica is not just a church it’s a journey through art, history, and faith. Whether you are religious or not, this place will touch your soul with its beauty and grandeur. An absolute must-visit when in Rome or Vatican City.

Awesome and powerful!!!! The artworks and architecture leave you feeling inspired and uplifted! This place is so holy. You feel the power of God here. The building itself is an architectural marvel, and the inside is filled with incredible works of art. It’s definitely worth the trip to see it, you will be amazed. If you can handle many stairs, it is definitely worth it to go to the top of the dome. There’s an elevator to take you halfway up, but you’ll have to climb the stairs the rest of the way and it’s not an easy climb. However, the view from the top is breathtaking and you can see the entire Vatican City and Rome. Be prepared for large crowds of tourists everywhere inside and outside! I went on a weekday during off-season and it was still packed. Loved all the artwork of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! All glory to God! Amen!

Another mind blowing historical architectural marvel! Entered via an entrance from underneath after visiting the Necropolis (did a tour, absolutely amazeballs... different review). Visited St Peter's Tomb underground (controversial but not for a google map debate ;)... thought provoking though!). Cool that I could walk 'upstairs' and see the High Alter that is situated directly above and how everything was built around the tomb after seeing the different levels below. Historically and religiously significant, beautiful, opulent. There's lots of people as expected, just like you see on YouTube lol. But its worth it, and... you're in Rome. There's lots of people. The bascillica/s were basically built to keep the remains of St Peter safe. The first bascillica was built in the 4th century and the current bascillica started in 1506 and took just over a century to build. In this timeframe 20 popes oversaw its development keeping the tomb protected. Different artistic/architectural influences over time including Michelangelo's great hand which gives you some idea of the vibe there.

Amazing basilica. Definitely worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. Amazing arhitecture, artwork, sculptures, paintings. Incredible view from the top of the dome, if you visit the basilica be sure to not miss out if you are not afraid of higts, and you are not claustrophobic because the way up tends to take you through narrow stair ways. It's an amazing place, one of a kind in the world at this magnitude. Buy tickets in advance.

The visit to Saint Peter's Basilica was a must see, especially during special religious days or events. The wait line to get in was long, but it moved fairly quickly. Security was easy to get through. Once in the Basilica you will be struck with beautiful and awe at the size, splendor, and beauty of the space. Every wall is decorated. The dome is absolutely beautiful. Even though there were many people inside there was a dedicated space for personal prayer near the front of the alter. There is so much detail and history within the walls of Saint Peter's and the Vatican. I would most definitely recommend anyone to visit Vatican City and step into the Basilica.
Matthew M — Google review
St. Peter’s Basilica is one of those rare places that completely exceeds expectations, no matter how many photos or documentaries you’ve seen before visiting. The moment you step through the doors, you’re struck by its sheer scale and splendor — the soaring dome, the intricate marble floors, the soft echo of footsteps, and the quiet sense of reverence that fills the air. It’s not just architecture; it’s a living masterpiece. Michelangelo’s Pietà is an emotional centerpiece — delicate, powerful, and impossibly detailed. Bernini’s grand bronze canopy rises like a sculpture of light beneath the dome, drawing your eyes upward in awe. Every inch of the basilica feels alive with centuries of devotion, artistry, and history. Climbing to the top of the dome is an experience not to be missed. The narrow stairways and spiral paths eventually open up to one of the most breathtaking views in all of Rome — the Vatican, St. Peter’s Square, and the city’s terracotta rooftops stretching out toward the horizon. Go early to avoid crowds, dress respectfully, and give yourself time to linger. St. Peter’s Basilica isn’t just a stop on a sightseeing list — it’s a place that leaves a quiet, lasting impression on your heart.

Saint Peter’s Basilica is an absolute must-visit in Rome and one of the most magnificent landmarks in the world. As one of the four Holy Doors during the Jubilee year, it holds deep spiritual significance. The architecture is breathtaking, and every corner is filled with masterpieces — from Michelangelo’s Pietà to the grand dome offering stunning views. The interior is both majestic and peaceful, a true testament to centuries of devotion and artistry. Whether you come for faith, history, or beauty, this basilica leaves an unforgettable impression. Truly one of the greatest treasures of Vatican City and all of Rome.

The Roman Forum is a sprawling archaeological site in Rome, featuring ancient temples, squares, and government buildings dating back 2,000 years. It's more of an open-air museum than a conventional one and is a must-visit for first-time visitors to Rome. Despite the crowds and the need to use your imagination due to the ruins, it offers a glimpse into the glory of the ancient empire.
We went to the Roman forum around 10am to spend a few hours before our timed colosseum tickets. We entered at the top of a big hill so there was no wait. There are many entrances so I doubt anyone would have to wait too long. The space was so large and there were few maps so I kept worrying I was missing important things. It’s easy to get lost and forget what you’ve seen but after exploring for about 3 hours, the map on our way out showed we happened to do it all anyway! We skipped going into the museums inside just due to stamina, as you could be there ALL day and not see it all. There were many water ‘fountains’ around which was nice and bathrooms seemed easily accessible. Lots of cool things to see. We had the “full experience” ticket which I would recommend to anyone because within the forum there were several spots where only those with “full experience” tickets could access. I believe you can get tickets that allow access to one specific extra area but id skip the stress and get the full experience ticket. Less confusing that way as well. The photo with the large stair case was where we climbed up and entered not long after that.

It's a plaza surrounded by ancient ruins of official government buildings. It was the main marketplace. It's definitely worth visiting if you are seeing colosseum. I came to know about it when we booked our colosseum tour as a package. It's a fascinating place with full of history, but lacks maps and information board. Do allow few hours to walk as it's a massive place plus some places it's bit hilly. Near the exit there is a cafe which is a bonus point.

Huge Place, where you can imagine how people lived 2000 years ago, how buildings were huge and how incredible was architecture in that times. Beautiful place with full of history. Formerly the center of public life in ancient Rome. I went here as part of my coliseum tour. Not as much grandeur of the coliseum, of course, but it was fascinating to walk through the old heart of the Eternal City, not to mention the ruins of Octavian/Augustus' palace.

It is quite a big area with a lot of ruins and nice statues. I think we can only enter the area once with the ticket; if we leave, we can't come back. Remember to watch the place where Caesar is buried.

Amazing to see. Could easily spend all day there. We entered by "Via dei Fori Imperiali" which was a lot quieter than the entrance by the colosseum. Toilets dotted around and we found 1 cafe by our entrance. Really worth seeing.

What a place! We bought the combined ticket with the Colosseo entrance. Visited the Colosseo at 9 am and by 10:15 we were at the Forum, thankfully, because when we left at around 1pm, the line was so big that it went around the other street. The place is huge and you can easily get "lost"or not see some interesting parts. Tip: download some map so that you can undertand where you are at the moment. Very impressive and i left with my heart full!

This was the most amazing experience - we went with a tour guide so didn’t have to wait to get in, the queue was pretty long so would recommend - I would also recommend a tour so you actually get to know what is what - our guide was very Informative, but didn’t go on and on and make it boring - it was absolutely fascinating to learn the history and see what it used to be like from pictures she showed us and what is still present today. Such a great time - would love to return and spend more time here as we only had about 1hr in here - you could easily spend 1/2 -1 day here depending on the level of your interest - highly recommend!

Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, located just north of the Colosseum, is a minor basilica with a rich history. It is dedicated to St. Peter and houses Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses, commissioned by Pope Julius II. The church was originally built over the tomb of St. Peter and has undergone significant architectural contributions from renowned artists such as Bramante, Raphael, and Michelangelo himself.
San Pietro in Vincoli (Saint Peter in Chains) was a deeply memorable stop for my wife and me during our time in Rome, blending powerful history with remarkable art. Originally built in the 5th century to house the relic of the chains that bound Saint Peter during his imprisonment in Jerusalem, the basilica holds these sacred chains beneath the main altar—revered as a symbol of Peter’s faith and resilience. The church itself is serene and modest in comparison to some of Rome’s grander basilicas, but it holds one of Michelangelo’s most breathtaking masterpieces: the monumental statue of Moses, part of the unfinished tomb of Pope Julius II. Michelangelo’s Moses is famed for its lifelike detail and the striking expression on the prophet’s face, complete with the distinctive horns drawn from a mistranslation of the Hebrew Bible. Standing in front of such an iconic work, surrounded by centuries of faith and history, made for a powerful and unforgettable experience.

As I stood in the hallowed halls of Basilica San Pietro in Vincoli, the majestic sounds of the organ enveloped me, transporting me to a realm of spiritual connection. The music seemed to bridge the gap between heaven and earth, and I felt an overwhelming sense of unity with the divine. The intricate carvings and stunning architecture of the basilica added to the sense of awe, but it was Michelangelo's breathtaking sculpture that truly stole my breath. The way the light danced across the single block of marble, expertly carved to bring forth a masterpiece, left me speechless. In this sacred space, art and faith converged, and I felt my spirit soar.

Very underrated church! From outside, it looks unassuming and not like a typical church building. But inside are two of the most interesting things: chains of Apostle Peter and Michelangelo's Moses! Near a building, there is a nasoni - a public drinking water fountain.

The Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, located in Rome, is most famous for housing Michelangelo’s renowned statue of Moses, which forms part of the unfinished tomb of Pope Julius II. This masterpiece, admired for its lifelike detail and powerful expression, is considered one of the greatest works of Renaissance sculpture. The basilica itself was originally built in the 5th century to preserve the relic of Saint Peter’s chains, which, according to tradition, were the very chains that bound the Apostle during his imprisonment in Jerusalem and Rome. In addition to its artistic and spiritual treasures, the church also serves as the burial site for several popes and cardinals, making it a place of both religious and historical significance.
Yiğit S — Google review
This church is best known for housing Michelangelo's statue of Moses, part of the tomb of Pope Julius II. Michelangelo's Moses (completed in 1515), while originally intended as part of a massive 47-statue, free-standing funeral monument for Pope Julius II, became the centerpiece of the Pope's funeral monument and tomb in this, the church of della Rovere family. Moses is depicted with horns, connoting "the radiance of the Lord", due to the similarity in the Hebrew words for "beams of light" and "horns". This kind of iconographic symbolism was common in early sacred art, and for an artist horns are easier to sculpt than rays of light. It's a must

Stadio Olimpico is a renowned stadium in Rome, serving as the home ground for football clubs Lazio and Roma. It has a rich history, having hosted the 1960 Summer Olympics and various international matches. Visitors can embark on an experiential journey through the stadium, exploring areas like the changing rooms and the pitch entrance. The stadium also features dining options such as the Gold Open Bistro and a store offering official team merchandise.
Great place to visit if your a football fan. Tour guide was a little grumpy but it was 35° that day and the stadium was preparing for a music concert. Very informative for me and my 14 year old son.

There are not sufficient signages here but the ticket office is at the right side of you're coming from the main road. Keep walking and you will see it. There are stadium tours that happens hourly on weekdays and half hourly on weekends. Visit the vivaticket website to book. Like all other stadium tours, it is closed during concert days and preparations. The tour starts with a video introduction, then going to the gallery, team rooms, seatings and then the shop.

The price is a bit high, but the atmphosphere and the vibe there was amazing! The guide was nice and did their best while we were at the tour,we visited many parts of the stadium and it was amazing,we also later got a shirt from the fan shop!

The stadium is amazing.. the outside with the sculptures, the locals, the atmosphere is great.. there’s a lack of signs, but the place isn’t that hard to figure it out.. inside we’ve had cold beer, marked seats and a great football game

Amasing to visit one of the big stadion with so many fans from all over the world,Atphmosfere unavailable. so many tiffosi singing the songs, Great stadium, easy to access and they put a lot of entertainment on around the ground after the match to give you something to do and slow the rush on transport. Really well organised (afraid the same organisation doesn’t apply to some of the food and drink vendors).

Attending an AS Roma game at Stadio Olimpico was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was electric. Roma fans are incredibly passionate, and it truly makes the match unforgettable. The section where we bought our tickets felt very family-oriented, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and comfortable. Entrance was smooth and well-organized. We did have to show our passports, so I recommend bringing yours and keeping it secured right after, as it can get crowded. We felt pretty safe throughout the night. The surroundings of the stadium were lively and fun, with plenty of food trucks, team gear, and supporters everywhere. We took a taxi to get there, and it dropped us off on the other side of the bridge and walking across it was actually a really nice part of the experience. Drink prices inside were pretty standard for a stadium. Leaving, however, was a bit chaotic. Buses were completely packed and took forever to arrive. We decided to grab a gelato nearby and waited it out, but even ordering a taxi was tricky, drivers kept canceling and we only managed to get one about 90 minutes after the game ended. Still, the overall experience was worth it, and I would definitely go again!

Personally I am not a football fan but the tour experience was beautiful. Totally recommended. Get inside the dressing rooms, the field itself, show yourself on the giant screens, have a seat in the best place of the stadium, buy jerseys and such in normal pricing, not souvenir shop pricing. Loved it!

Roma Termini, the main train station in Rome and the largest in Europe, offers a seamless travel experience with its top-notch amenities. Inside the station, there is a mall featuring high-end stores, restaurants, supermarkets, and cafes. Travelers can easily access popular attractions such as Piazza Della Republican and Via Nazionale from this central location. Additionally, regional trains provide fast and affordable transportation to and from Termini station.
Roma Termini is a bustling hub that unites all of Italy. We came in from the port of Civitavecchia, which was about an hour long trip through beautiful seaside towns & lovely seanic vistas. Once at the terminal it was a breeze to find our way out to our appointed rendezvous with our tour guide. It is an immaculately clean train terminal, that boasts food, a mall of sorts & very clean toilets for a cost. On our return trip, we did find out that the platform for the port is the furthest from the entrance & had to book it to make it back so we didn’t miss our ship. Very high marks to the City for having such a wonderful terminal with great signage & loads of Polizia to make you feel safe

A Bustling and Well-Connected Hub in the Heart of Rome. Roma Termini is a massive train station, serving as a primary gateway for domestic and international travel across Italy and Europe. The station's architecture is a blend of historical and modern elements, making it an impressive sight. Inside, you'll find a wide range of food shops and restaurants, as well as plenty of self-service train ticket machines for a quick and easy experience. The platform information is clear and easy to follow, which is essential given the station's size. For seamless movement, both escalators and stairs are available to connect the various levels of the station. If you are going through Metro, have some time in hand as from getting off from Metro and reaching the Main platforms will take some time. A alot of options for shopping (its like a Mall). The station definitely needs air-conditioning in hot weather. Air circulation is bad. Seating area is also less in comparison to the number of tourists transiting from station. All major train companies have offices as well as kiosk machines.

Roma Termini: A Modern and Efficient Gateway to Rome I travelled from Venice to Rome return journey. Roma Termini is an impressive, airport-sized train station that serves as an excellent hub for travellers in Rome. I found it to be a very good station that combines modern amenities with essential services. · Spacious & Modern: The station is vast, clean, and feels very modern. The high ceilings and open layout prevent it from feeling cramped, even during busy periods. Navigating between tracks is generally straightforward. · Excellent Amenities: A major plus is the supermarket on the ground floor. It's incredibly convenient for grabbing water, snacks, fresh fruit, or anything else you might need for your journey at reasonable prices, avoiding the typical tourist markup. · Great Exchange Find: I was pleasantly surprised to find a currency exchange shop near the station that offered a fantastic rate – arguably the best value I saw anywhere in Italy. It's definitely worth comparing rates here before exchanging money elsewhere in the city. · Clean & Worthwhile Facilities: While the toilets cost €1.20, the fee is justified. They are maintained and cleaned regularly, which is a welcome luxury when travelling. You pay for quality and cleanliness, and it's worth it.

May 2025. Our first time in a train station like this. Simple to find your train. Even though it is quick to transfer, allocate enough time with a buffer to transfer because sometimes trains are late. It may take a while to catch a taxi in busy times, but the line keeps moving
Patrick V — Google review
I recently traveled through Rome Termini Central Station. The station itself is quite large, with many shops, restaurants, and good train connections across Italy. It’s convenient if you’re heading to other cities. However, I have to mention that the area around the station didn’t feel very safe. I saw a lot of homeless people nearby, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable, especially in the evening. I would recommend being extra cautious with your belongings and avoiding walking alone at night in the surrounding streets. Overall, it’s practical for transportation, but the environment outside could definitely be improved.

very very huge station better come at least 30 minute earlier to find your platform. platform 25~29 is even way further in compared to the rest of the platforms. it is like walking through the airport but without escalator…. my train to pisa only departed 2 minutes late, it came early for boarding. did not encounter any pickpocket but the air felt suspicious anyway.

Trains are great to get you around quickly. Prices are very high compared to other transport in other countries. On board ticket staff for trenitalia are criminals. They look for tourists, check your ticket and any mistake they try and charge you full price again. We spent over $400 for round trip from Roma to Naples, on train back he claimed we were responsible for paying for all 3 kids again, as the lady at the terminal (at 7am) didn’t charge us enough for the tickets. He demanded another 57 euros. Tried to explain we aren’t responsible for your employees mistake. He couldn’t prove it was in their so called policy that it’s my responsibility, which he claimed, after harassing us for 30 minutes we pay him 8 euros to leave us alone. Then he did the same to another family beside us because they didn’t know they had to validate their tickets. He tried to charge them all new tickets. Absolute scam! Do your research before getting on train so you don’t get harassed like us. Also had our passports and id demanded by police after the issue with trenitalia staff. Be careful. Termini is littered with pickpockets. Had 2 eyeing us the whole time, so had adult males in group at front and back covering everyone. They thought, big family lots of kids is easy target, but they moved on when there was no opportunity for them to steal.

The Forum of Augustus is an ancient site in Rome that includes a temple dedicated to Mars and was used for legal proceedings. The area around the forum is filled with archaeological finds, making it a popular spot for tourists. The forum was built by Emperor Augustus after the Battle of Philippi and features the Temple of Mars Ultor.
The Forum of Augustus is a fascinating glimpse into ancient Roman history. The ruins are well-preserved and give a strong sense of the scale of the original structures. I visited on a weekday, which meant fewer crowds and a relaxed atmosphere. The Temple of Mars Ultor is especially impressive and worth taking time to admire. Informative signs around the site help explain the historical significance. Walking along Via dei Fori Imperiali provides a great view of the forum from different angles. There are plenty of photo opportunities, especially in good weather. It’s a peaceful and educational stop in the heart of Rome. Highly recommended for history lovers and curious travelers alike.

The Forum of Augustus is a quiet powerful space that still holds the weight of history in its stones. Walking through the ruins you feel the presence of something grand and lasting even if time has worn it down. The structures are broken but proud the layout still speaks of order and strength. At night the lights bring it to life in a softer almost poetic way. It is not as crowded as other spots which makes the experience more personal and reflective. A place where the past feels close and real surrounded by silence and open sky. Worth a slow walk.

The Foro di Augusto is a must-visit for any history buff. While it's a shadow of its former glory, the remaining structures are still incredibly impressive. The Temple of Mars Ultor is particularly striking, even in ruins. It's fascinating to imagine the forum in its heyday, a bustling center of Roman life. While there isn't as much to see compared to the Roman Forum, the Foro di Augusto offers a quieter and more intimate experience. would definitely recommend combining a visit here with the Roman Forum for a comprehensive understanding of ancient Rome
AsabaYT — Google review
The Forum of Augustus (Latin: Forum Augustum) is one of the Imperial Forums in Rome, built by Emperor Augustus between 27 and 2 BC. It was the second of the Imperial Forums to be constructed, following the Forum of Julius Caesar, and it was designed to honor Augustus’ military victories, particularly the conquest of Gaul and Egypt, and to reinforce his image as Rome’s first emperor. Key Features: 1. Architecture: • Size: The forum measures approximately 120 meters by 75 meters (394 feet by 246 feet). • Design: It was a rectangular plaza surrounded by a colonnade of Corinthian columns with a large open space in the center, which was used for various public functions. • Temple of Mars Ultor: The forum’s most significant feature was the Temple of Mars Ultor (Mars the Avenger), dedicated to the god of war. It was built to honor Mars for aiding Augustus in avenging the murder of his adoptive father, Julius Caesar, and avenging his killers in the Battle of Philippi (42 BC). The temple stood at the far end of the forum. 2. Monumental Decorations: • Statues of Roman Heroes: Around the forum were statues of Roman gods, emperors, and military leaders, including Augustus, Julius Caesar, and other important figures from Roman history. • The Battle of Actium: The forum’s decoration also celebrated Augustus’ victory over Mark Antony and Cleopatra at the Battle of Actium (31 BC). The victory in this battle consolidated Augustus’ power and marked the beginning of the Roman Empire. 3. Function: • The Forum of Augustus served as a space for public ceremonies, including legal proceedings, speeches, and military celebrations. It also played a symbolic role in asserting Augustus’ power and legitimacy. Purpose and Significance: • Political Symbolism: The forum was a tool for Augustus to project his authority and legitimize his power as emperor, connecting his rule to Rome’s military successes and divine favor. • Religious and Military Function: The Temple of Mars Ultor was central to Roman propaganda, emphasizing Augustus as both a military leader and a bringer of peace. • Architectural Innovation: It was one of the most impressive displays of Roman architecture, demonstrating the power and cultural achievement of the Roman Empire under Augustus. The Forum of Augustus was an integral part of the urban landscape of ancient Rome and contributed to shaping the image of Rome as the center of the ancient world. While much of the forum is in ruins today, the Temple of Mars Ultor and its surrounding structures remain significant examples of Roman imperial architecture.

Walking on the Via Flori Imperiali you will find glimpse of ancient Roman history and some forums built by the roman emperors. One of this amazing forums its the Forum of Augustus (r. 27 BC – AD 14). It includes the Temple of Mars Ultor. The incomplete forum and its temple were inaugurated in 2 BC, 40 years after they were first vowed. After winning the battle, with the help of Mark Antony and Lepidus, Octavian had avenged the assassination of his adoptive father Julius Caesar. He became the Princeps of Rome in 27 BC under the name Augustus, and planned for the temple to be built in a new forum named after himself. How amazing is to walk and see this great history of the roman empire in our days! I really enjoyed walking and discovering this amazing place.

One of the wildest parts about Rome is everywhere you are you could run into a piece of major history. This spot is no different! It is wild to think that this has been around for centuries and is still standing like it is. You can walk down pretty far, and it looks like they are building walkways for the actual grounds of the ruins. Definitely a cool stop if you're in the area.

Unbelievable architecture! Just found out it was built in 2 b.c. year, or in 5509 year. This is amazing, a true beauty. Impressed how humans could build such enormous buildings so many years ago. Best photos: during the day and at night (check my images). Plan your sightseeing so that you will start from the Forum, then Colosseum, Palatine Hill and closing with Capitoline Hill. 💛

Aventine Hill, one of the seven hills of ancient Rome, is a tranquil neighborhood offering a break from the city center's hustle and bustle. This area boasts historical sites, elegant residential areas with stylish villas and shady gardens. It's home to some of the earliest Christian churches and provides an array of wining and dining opportunities. Visitors can escape the tourist crowds here while enjoying stunning views of Saint Peter's dome through a keyhole.
One of the best views in Roman. You can get a great panoramic view across the city. There is an old Roman church, which is plain but quite beautiful inside. You can also wander around the orange garden this is beautifully scented with citrus. It's also the site of the famous Avantine Keyhole. There was a long queue, but essentially you look through a tiny keyhole for an amazing view of St Peters. The best hill in the city!

This was a beautiful spot to wonder around with great views over the city. There was also the added bonus of the Aventine Keyhole. There was a line of people wanting to take their picture but it wasn't too long (but ensure your camera is ready to go when its your turn so you don't keep everyone else waiting behind you for too long).

I recommend it if you are going to be in the area and want to get a view of Rome from above. If you have limited time, or are concerned about the walking, then Castel Sant' Angelo is a much better option. I feel the view of the Vatican is better from there, and you can see Rome as well.

Also where you can see St Peter's dome through a keyhole, but having already seen it did not stop this time because of the bus loads of tourists waiting in line. It's one of the original 7 hills of Rome and well worth a visit

When in Rome do not miss to go on the Aventine Hill! You will be enchanted by the amazing panoramic views and the beautiful parks located there. The Aventine Hill is one of the seven hills on which Ancient Rome was built. We all know that St Peter's Dome is visible almost from everywhere due to its big dimension, here you also have the chance to look at the famous Dome directly from a Key Hole. Looking through the hole, you will be able to see the Cupola surrounded by trees and flowers too. How is it possible? Well, the Key Hole is in the door of thr 'secret garden': the gardens of the Priorato di Malta. Overall, its a good place where you find silence and enjoy the one of the views of Rome away from the noise of the city center.

Rome - Italy 🇮🇹 The Basilica di Sant’Andrea della Valle is a grand Baroque church in the heart of Rome, Italy, renowned for its soaring dome and richly decorated interior. This basilica is often admired for its combination of architectural grandeur and theatrical Baroque artistry, making it a quiet gem compared to the more crowded Roman landmarks. A magnificent and often overlooked masterpiece in the heart of Rome. Sant’Andrea della Valle impresses with its grand Baroque architecture, majestic dome (2nd in size only to St. Peter’s) and the dramatic frescoes by Lanfranco and Domenichino that fill the ceiling and apse with light and movement. The basilica holds a special place in both art history and opera, it’s the setting of the first act of Puccini’s Tosca. Despite its central location, it’s usually peaceful and not crowded, offering a rare chance to admire the beauty of Rome’s sacred art in quiet contemplation. Best light for photos in late afternoon, when the sun filters through the dome’s windows Sit for a few minutes in the nave to appreciate the perfect symmetry and the play of gold and shadow, it’s truly mesmerizing.

Visiting the Basilica di Sant'Andrea della Valle is an impressive experience. I hadn't known anything about it until we accidentally walked by during one of our daily explorations in Rome. This beautiful church is located near Piazza Navona and has an intriguing history linked to the Theatines religious order, which began its construction around 1590. Several renowned architects, including Giacomo della Porta and Carlo Maderno, contributed to the church's design, making it a significant example of late Renaissance and early Baroque architecture. It is particularly famous for having the second-highest dome in Rome, just below that of St. Peter's, and for setting the first act of Puccini's opera, Tosca, which adds to its cultural importance. The interior of Sant'Andrea della Valle is stunning. The vast space and beautiful decorations create a powerful effect. Baroque artists such as Lanfranco and Domenichino adorn the walls and ceilings with exquisite marble, gold, and vibrant frescoes. This church is a remarkable example of Roman Baroque style, giving visitors a profound sense of beauty and awe. Whether you are seeking great architecture or happen to stumble upon it, the Basilica is a worthwhile stop in the Eternal City.

YellowSquare Rome is a vibrant hostel located near the Termini railway station, making it a popular choice for backpackers seeking an energetic atmosphere. The hostel features simple rooms and dorms, along with an American bar, free Wi-Fi, and a shared kitchen. Guests can enjoy live music in the bar and participate in activities such as rooftop yoga sessions or Italian cooking classes.
One of the best hostel I’ve ever been to! Super clean, modern and very comfortable/private beds! Love the curtain option for privacy and lockers in each room! Tbh I loved the mixed dorms better than the all female room because the rooms/beds are bigger and more modern! So much activities and fun things to do with others there as well!! The staff at the bar and restaurant are so so friendly and happy all the time! They made the experience so much better than it already was! Thanks Frittz (I think his name was) for being so friendly and great service! I hope to be back one day!

Yellow Square Rome is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in Europe. The atmosphere is super social but still comfortable — perfect whether you’re traveling solo or with friends. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help with recommendations or bookings. The rooms and bathrooms are kept very clean, and the beds are comfortable. The location is unbeatable — easy walking distance to Termini station, restaurants, and major attractions. The connected bar downstairs is a huge plus, great for meeting people and enjoying live music or events in the evening. Overall, it’s got the perfect mix of fun, comfort, and convenience. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Rome!

Tbh, I had zero expectations after a bad stay at another hostel, but it totally blew me away! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The staff are super friendly, the common areas are comfy and really clean, and the bunks have curtains, individual lights, and outlets so you get your privacy. Bathrooms have shampoo, soap, and hairdryers ready to use. Storage is easy and affordable, and the bar is great for meeting people — plus they gave us a welcome drink and a plate of pasta.🍝🍷 Perfect if you want a cheap place that doesn’t feel cheap. Highly recommend! 🇮🇹

Excellent experience. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. I stayed here for 8 nights. The common areas are cleaned twice a day, dorms everyday. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. The co-working space is free, quite and very spacious. The bar offers good music and events every night.

Pretty expensive for what we got. We stayed at the Florence hostel before this which was 10/10 in all aspects so it was a bit disappointing at the Rome one considering it was over double the price. Negatives: The staff is amazing, very helpful and nice. The rooms are not as nice, the building is very old and rundown. The shower and toilet rooms are extremely cramped which made it difficult to even change clothes. There is also no mats provided for the shower or bathroom so as soon as any water gets on the floor, it gets muddy. The windows didn’t not also seal shut in our room so noise came through the window. Positives: The beds were standard and the aircon was good, the staff were also kind to provide extra sheets we can use as curtains. The location is also amazing. The Yellow Bar is amazing aswell!

I had the most incredible stay at yellow square . From the moment I walked in the staff were super helpful and kind. The rooms were super clean with renovated bathrooms. The atmosphere was amazing very social but not too loud. Had an amazing kitchen and lounge and free pasta every night at 18:30 and 20% off the attached bar directly across the street. There are nightly activities that are absolutely incredible. The staff helped with planning and had some great recommendations. 10/10 all the way
Adina S — Google review
Super fun if you’re looking for a party across the street, but the bathrooms were far too small in my opinion compared to the amazing YellowSquare in Florence. Definitely expected different, and the beds did not have curtains. Everyone uses their second blanket as curtains. Awesome free classes though, the mixology class was my favorite.

I was really positively surprised by this place — my stay was great! What truly made the difference for me was the co-working space. I needed to work during my days in Rome, and it honestly exceeded my expectations: amazing internet (both there and throughout the hostel), quiet, respectful, and super comfortable. The staff were also fantastic — always ready to help, and in every language possible! I stayed in two different rooms, and while I think the price-quality ratio could be slightly better, it’s still fair for what Rome usually offers. The location is excellent too: a calm area, very close to Termini Station, and you can walk everywhere in about 20 minutes. Overall, it was a wonderful stay — I’d come back without hesitation!

The RomeHello is a trendy and modern hostel in Rome, located just a short walk from Roma Termini train station and popular attractions like Piazza Barberini and the Trevi Fountain. The hostel boasts street art-inspired decor with striking murals throughout its social areas, creating a unique and alternative atmosphere. It's known for its laid-back vibe, regular live music events at the connected bar and grill called The Barrel, making it an ideal spot for solo travelers looking to socialize.
This hostel exceeded my expectations. Staff spoke English, were friendly and quick to accommodate my requests. This hostel was by far the cleanest I've seen. It was conveniently located that you can walk to the majority of the tourist sites. They offered many interesting perks as well, such as dinner made in-house for the guests (on occasion) karaoke nights and different lounging (indoor/outdoor) spaces, including a restaurant/bar onsite and an optional all you can breakfast which boasted a mix of Western and classic European breakfast options. Apart from the hostel itself, guests were respectful and my roommates were very clean to ensure that the room was kept organized for the new guests to feel comfortable in. I'd highly recommend RomeHello.

Warm, welcoming staff, and clean rooms. Terrifically located, walking distance to the colosseum! Would definitely recommend to come here - I personally would come back again to The RomeHello and to Rome. Fabulous service, warmest, most attentive staff, they also employ people with varied abilities which is beautiful work to empower, enable employees of all kinds. I stayed 4 nights at a mixed dorm and everyone I met was always super respectful, mindful with sound, light, etc. I had no prob having a good night sleep which anyone would need for an energy-demanding Rome visit especially during summer time. Great breakfast buffet!!! Lovely kitchen and common area, air conditioning is fabulous, water power absolutely strong. You are in good hands. :) The staff Jacob is from Rome local and was super welcoming and we chatted about traveling experiences. Everywhere super walkable!

Very nice staff! My room was okay, the toilet flush sometimes didn‘t work. Location is perfect, price, of course a bit higher than other hostels. Still worth it, 5 stars.

This place was great! We opted for a private room with private bathroom. The shared kitchen was very well equipped and very clean. The laundry machines were clean and efficient. They automatically add detergent, so no need to bring your own. Location is a short walk to the train station, and to any of the must see places like the Spanish steps etc. rooms were quiet and the bed was comfy. Could not figure out how to get the towel warmer to work, but it didn’t really bother me

Great location to get around the city. Beds are comfortable, rooms are a decent size, super clean and modern. Staff at the front desk, very helpful and friendly. Perfect selection at breakfast and well priced. Staff in the bar/restaurant also very nice and welcoming - hospitality at its best. Big shout to Paloma in the evening, she took time to recommend 2 local restaurants, thanks for that.

We LOVED the RomeHello. The rooms were lovely and clean. Ours had a queen bed and a set of bunks for our boys plus a private bathroom. The common area was great to hang out in and we did the carbonara cooking class which was a lot of fun. The best thing about the place was the friendly staff

I found this place online while planning a last-minute trip to Rome. After reading the reviews, I decided to book - and it did not disappoint. The rooms were clean, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Jacob at the front desk was incredibly friendly and accommodating, taking the time to explain everything during check-in. The breakfast was filling and convenient, and the location couldn’t be better. The only thing I’d suggest is adding privacy curtains to the beds, but overall, I’d absolutely stay here again.

I had the best time staying at HelloHome Hostel in Rome! All of the staff are absolutely adorable — so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The rooms were spotless, super comfortable, and very affordable, which made my stay even better. The food and drinks were excellent, and I loved that the hostel organizes events to bring people together — it creates such a fun and friendly atmosphere. They even placed me in a room with only girls, which I really appreciated. Overall, everything was perfect: clean rooms, great value, amazing staff, and a wonderful social vibe. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Rome!

Termini, located in Rome, Italy, is a well-connected district and home to the city's main railway station. Despite being relatively run down, it offers easy access to the city center and is just a short walk from Piazza Repubblica.
Good train station. Always super busy. The station is also huge. You can only access the platforms if you have a valid ticket. You have direct transfer to the Fiumicino airport from here, though the price is pretty high. The food joints are pathetic here. Better avoid.
Sumanta C — Google review
The station is well-connected and easy to access, but it’s worth noting that some platforms or terminals are quite far from the main entrance. It can be inconvenient if you’re carrying heavy luggage or in a hurry, so it’s a good idea to arrive a bit early. Otherwise, the infrastructure is modern, and there’s a good variety of shops and facilities.
Adrian C — Google review
Extremely chaotic and overcrowded. You really need to be careful with your personal belongings—there’s a heavy presence of police and soldiers, which made me wonder if it’s just for pickpocketing or something more serious. The surrounding area doesn't feel safe at all. It’s unfortunate that one of the main stations of the city is in such a condition. The downstairs toilets are clean, but access costs €1.20, which is quite expensive—though, to be fair, it's probably necessary to keep them in decent shape. Inside the station feels more like a shopping mall, but due to the overall chaotic atmosphere, none of the shops felt appealing. Important tip: If your train departs from platforms 25–29, be aware that these are really far from the main station building. Make sure to arrive early—otherwise, you might end up missing your train. Next time, I’ll definitely book accommodation on the other side of the city just to avoid coming to Termini.

Terrible experience at the down stairs toilet!! 2 cleaning ladies publicly shamed me for trying to use the baby toilet so i can pee. I have two big luggages and a disabled dog. The cubicle was too small for me and my things and Rome Termini is know for pick pockets and thieves! So i am definitely not leaving my things out to pee! But the two ladies working at 9:40am on 29, June 2025!!! You are despicable for publicly shaming me instead of informing me that im not allowed to use the baby toilet even though i already explained my situation! Telling the other ladies in the room that i am despicable and impossible to even ask! YES! I understand you!

The environment and design is good, but the ticketing system is confusing, I don't know why I bought two tickets at a time and could only use them once, my friend couldn't get into the station in time. When I took the order email and asked how to fix it, the staff in charge of ticketing actually told me "I don't know"...it was so confusing…

Performed the function of a train station well. Big board tells you which line you are leaving from, particularly if you wear your spectacles. Shops available if you need nutrition and hydration. Signs were easy to follow. No complaints

Absolutely horrible. We were trapped in a broken elevator and their intercom was barely audible and they didn’t speak English. We experienced absolute terror trapped inside a dark, dirty and confined elevator that was broken but no one bothered to fix or at least warn passengers that it is broken. No one came to our help and we had to pry the door open by force. It was traumatizing. This place is awful!
Freidrichm — Google review
The Termini station has a wide selection of services available and offers good train, metro and bus connections. When we boarded an eastbound regional train, there was a degree of congestion at the platform entrance gates, partly due to excessive traveller numbers, partly to defective validation technology and partly also to unaccustomed travellers slowing down access due to their ignorance regarding the validation methods. Reserve extra time for such incontingencies when travelling from Termini.

Free Hostels Roma is a top-rated hostel in Rome, located just 1.4 miles from the city center and close to Termini station and Menzoni Metro Station. The modern and colorful hostel offers streamlined dorms, private rooms, complimentary breakfast, a terrace, and an informal bar. It's known for being one of the best hostels in Rome, providing a perfect mix of social atmosphere and affordability.
The hostel I stayed at exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything was well-maintained in terms of hygiene. The atmosphere was simple yet warm and welcoming. The staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Especially Ali at the reception, who not only took great care of the guests but also impressed everyone with the delicious meals he prepared. It was a cozy stay with homemade food that made the whole experience feel even more special. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly environment.

Wish I had more positive feedback. The reviews seemed good and we usually have good experiences with hostels. We booked a private room. The beds are way too firm and not comfortable. They are also short beds. My husband is 6’3” and couldn’t fit comfortably in the bed. They advertise A/C which was important to us but they turn the A/C off during the hottest part of the day from 11-3 pm. I’m pregnant, and needed to take a break to rest most afternoons. The second day, they turned on our A/C in the afternoon so I could comfortably nap and rest but the third day the owner was very rude and refused to do it. He wouldn’t even listen to me when I tried to talk to him, just dismissed me. I’m 5 months pregnant, dry heaving, and coming down with a nasty cough. I booked a private room in what was supposed to be an air conditioned place so that I could have some privacy to rest when I wasn’t feeling well. His suggestion was that I lay down in kitchen where they were running the A/C. He would rather have a pregnant woman coughing and dry heaving in the kitchen in front of all the other guests rather than turn on our A/C so I could rest in my private room. If we would have known the A/C wasn’t available during the hottest part of the day we would have stayed somewhere else. Zero compassion and zero customer service skills. There were other people at the front desk that were really nice but the boss was very unkind and unreasonable. Several things made this place uncomfortable to stay at including the beds, the A/C, rude boss, the private room we were in was pretty run down (shower door would come of the tracks, the bathroom door would jam, there was visible mold all over the bathroom, and the window curtains kept getting stuck, and overall the room wasn’t very clean). I would never recommend staying here unfortunately. This stuff was mentioned in other reviews as well, I would look closer at other reviews before booking.

I stayed in a 4-bed room, which was big enough and really clean. The bathroom was also big and clean. The staff, especially Pelin and Ali, were really kind and helpful. It is close to the metro and bus stops. I felt safe in the neighborhood while walking but to be honest, I wasn’t outside later than 11 pm or earlier than 8 am. You can lock both your bed and the big storage compartment with the key they give you, so you don’t need to bring any additional locks. I think the bed was comfortable, though the pillow was a bit too thin. There were window nets in my room so there was no mosquito problem in my condition. It is hard to find available dates for female only rooms so I would suggest booking early for these rooms. Overall, it was a good experience. Thanks
Sinem — Google review
The rooms are ok considering it's a hostel, but you don't come to Rome to stay in a room anyway. Everything was neat and clean. There is a metro station nearby which takes you 10-15 minutes to all the major attractions. A large supermarket is right across the road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I especially liked the social areas for hanging out and meeting new people. You made my stay in Rome complete and I thank you for that.

Stayed here 3 nights recently. As you can see hotels in Rome are incredibly expensive so I chose this hostel. It's decent, nice staff and close to a metro station and walkable distance to Rome Termini station or colosseum (both 20m walk). Let's be honest no matter what you will walk hours daily around Rome. The area near rome termini is a bit dirty and the street parallel to it, but near the hostel it's fine. I felt safe as a solo female. Grocery store across the street. Rooms were clean however my friends 6 bed dorm was slightly nicer then my 4 bed one. The blow dryer was useless in my room (my friends room it was better) and the plumbing in my particular bathroom had a bad smell unfortunately. Out of their control. And I find it weird the floors don't have at least 1 public washroom if the one in your room is being occupied. I booked on their website as it's cheaper then other platforms.
Monica C — Google review
It was ok, the room is quite spacious and you get to stay in your own cubicles. However, there are mosquitoes but if you close the cubicles, you’ll have connection issue. There weren’t a dedicated room for luggage storage, you just left it at a staircase at the pantry and people can just move your luggage around. The receptionists weren’t really welcoming and friendly. Location was ok, a bit distance from the central area. The neighbourhood looks a bit dodgy and there’s a little bit of walking to reach public transport. Wasn’t too bad, I still feel safe.

Vittorio Emanuele is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the Mercati di Traiano and a short walk from the Monti district, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving at Termini station. This historic metro system is one of the oldest in the world, providing a bustling and vibrant experience for visitors. While it can be crowded and requires caution against pickpocketing, it offers a unique glimpse into Rome's diverse expat community.

Vittorio Emanuele is an underground station serving Metro A line 🟠🚇. It is located beneath Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. From the metro station to the piazza it's just a 2 mins walk. You can take some time to explore the piazza as there's lots to see such as La Porta Magica o Alchemica (The Alchemy Door or Magic Portal). It's a monument built between 1678 and 1680 by Massimiliano Palombara. Nearby you can also find restaurants, gelato shops, parks such as Giardini di Piazza Dante. Other notable sites that you can visit in this area that are within walking distances are Chiesa di Sant'Eusebio, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Basilica di Santa Prassede, Nuovo Mercato Esquilino, Chiesa di Sant'Alfonso all'Esquilino, Area Archeologica Di San Vito, Tempio Buddhista All'Esquilino. Some activities you can do in this area are located in VinoRoma Wine Studio & Social Club and Pastificio Faini Cooking Class and Museo Delle Illusioni Roma. Like most Metro A stations, it can get very busy during rush hours so always keep your belongings near to you and keep your eyes on them. Wear your b(ackpack on your front and have an RFID blocking wallet/passport cases with you if you need to carry any documents with you. Better to keep those in your hotel actually. Don't flash any valuables like expensive watches or anything while travelling. You will become a target. There are pickpockets on the trains. Be careful and enjoy your travels!

Convenient local Metro station with frequent services, plenty of convenient exits and good signage, but there's no step free access with the only way down and up being two extremely long escalators and the whole station feels a little a little unkempt, underused and a little dirty in places, not to mention there were no station staff in sight when we were here. atmosphere: 3/5 Services: 3/5 accessibility: 2/5 signage: 4/5 Location: 5/5 overall:3/5

Here my iPhone Pro Max (13) got pickpocketed. It was after a nice subtle interaction with a person battling with crack and cocaine addiction. I tried to speak to him about Jesus, and as I was leaving, perhaps stupidly giving him a hug, another very lost crack addict came and took my phone, in the middle of a kind gestured goodbye. I feel and felt very slighted. And although I was inclined to leave prior, I didn't, and had to take the consequence for that. I take responsibility but am praying for future guidance and protection, even if I make mistakes. I ask for protection. The crack drug is no joke, they are vividly lost and need a serious reconfiguration of both mind, body heart and their soul. Some serious rehabilitation centers of sorts. John 3:16

This station was terrifying. When the train arrived I was faced with a very long corridor to get to the exit. I was scared until I got to the exit. The neighborhood around there doesn't seem safe to walk either alone or with small children.

In the morning of May 31st at 7:15 am, the station officer working at the station who is old man with light blond hair not only refused to help the tourist in need but responded to my request for help, stating that they could not speak Italian, with curses. Despite having a valid Rome pass ticket, it did not work properly only at this specific station, causing me great embarrassment. In this difficult situation, I requested for assistance, but the officer ignored my situation and responded with difficult-to-understand curses. Another employee eventually came to my aid, allowing me to arrive at the next station. My day was ruined due to this terrible treatment since morning. In my opinion, the man who spent his time playing games on his phone all day is not suitable to be a public servant and should find a job to do alone. Having such a person working there would be a disaster for other tourists.

Cavour is a fantastic street and commercial district in the city of Rome, offering access to numerous monuments and places of interest. It's a great starting point for exploring this beautiful and unique city. Take a leisurely stroll through its historic corners and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. Don't forget to take a break with an apperol in the mid-morning to recharge your energy. Additionally, there is a lovely church worth visiting in this area.
Cavour is located on Line B between Colosseo (towards Laurentina) and Termini (towards Rebibbia or Jonio). You must enter based on where you're headed. At least there are good signs pointing to the Laurentina or Rebibbia/Jonio direction. It is an underground station and I only saw stairs. If there is a lift, I didn't spot it. The station opened in 1955 and is one of the original stations of the line. It's in the core of the tourist areas of the city, near the Imperial forums, Trajan's Market and Trajan's Forum. There are automated ticket vending machines and turnstiles in the ticketing lobby. I did not see any workers or ATAC staff.

Seriuosly, guys, are you kidding? Two separate opposite stations? If you want opposite train, you should get out, climb up to Via Cavour, cross the street, and stepping down? Come on.
Michael B — Google review
Cavour metro station is located in the Monti neighborhood one of the coolest areas in Rome with narrow alleys, cute shops, and local cafés. It’s quite close to the Colosseum but usually less touristy and a bit messy. Unfortunately, pickpockets are very common here, especially during busy hours. One thing I really don’t like is the entrances: each direction has a separate entrance on opposite sides of the street, and there’s no way to switch platforms from inside. If you enter on the wrong side with a single ticket, you’ll have to exit and buy another one to re-enter. As a photographer, I often use Monti as a starting point for photoshoots. It’s a great area for capturing a more local, authentic vibe of Rome.
Mojtaba R — Google review
Weird setup: You have to know the direction before you enter the station - once you're inside you're in the wrong direction and there is no way to the other side... So you have to step out and cross the street to enter for the other direction - but your ticket is invalid now. Stupid. At least you can check-in via wireless credit card now.

Campo Marzio is a well-established neighborhood in Rome, known for its luxury hotel and splendid surroundings. The area boasts a rich history and offers an impeccable experience with large, bright rooms and refined furnishings. The neighborhood also features a variety of boutique shops near famous tourist attractions like the Pantheon and Traiano's column. Additionally, Campo Marzio is home to a renowned stationary and leather goods store that has been operating since 1933.
We had a wonderful stay at Campo Marzio. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The hosts were super helpful and we enjoyed their hospitality. The location is excellent, right in the city center of Rome, 5 minutes away from the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona etc.

The room is spacious and generally well-equipped, but unfortunately, the hot water situation was a major disappointment. After a long day of walking around the city, all I wanted was a nice hot shower to relax — but the water turned cold halfway through. At first, there was barely any hot water, and then suddenly it was just freezing cold. I was told to wait 30 minutes — but am I supposed to stand in the bathroom and wait for the hot water to come back before I can finish showering? Apart from the poor hot water supply, everything else was fine. But reliable hot water is a basic expectation, especially after a tiring day. Hope this issue gets resolved soon.

I want to start by saying that this is the first review I have ever written. When we checked into Campo Marzio, everyone was helpful and accommodating. The room we stayed in was so unique and decorated in such a fun way. The only thing that I would view as a potential downside is that you can hear through the walls as they are very thin. I sleep with white noise so that wasn’t a problem for me. The reason I am actually writing this review, however, is to talk about the evening desk attendant, Fabio. After walking all day in the biting wind I just wanted to find a hot drink. I ordered what I thought would be hot chocolate. I had read that the hot chocolate would be different in Europe but was not fully prepared for the fact that it was basically a chocolate bar melted. I did my best to try to sip on it as we walked back to the hotel. When we arrived, I showed it to Fabio and he immediately got a different mug, steamed some milk, and mixed some of the chocolate into it. He was so kind and helpful - even at 8 pm. Yes, it was a small thing, but frankly the service that we had had in other places in Rome left much to be desired in terms of kindness. I was very impressed. I think that anyone who seems to like their job as much as Fabio deserves a great review…and maybe a raise!

Fantastic location, within a 30 minute walk to most main attractions. Friendly host and nothing is too much bother. Arranged our airport transfers with no problems. Rooms were very very clean and had all amenities required for a short stay. Highly recommend and a great price for what you get!

Visiting Rome this is a must restaurant to go! Reasonable prices with a very good food. The all environment is beautiful and the menu has many choices for you to eat. I reccomend going to Campo Marzio for a dinner and also for a Breakfast/Brunch! It has many options for a brunch and tasteful breakfast for you. I indeed Reccomend.

(Translated by Google) The Tritone 91 apartment 1a is a great shame to pay so much for. The front door is broken, the downstairs bathroom door is half to pieces, the kitchen has no hot water, mold in the upstairs and downstairs bathroom, the stench in the upstairs bathroom was unbearable, a scorpion was found in the upstairs bath, in the upstairs toilet there was always yellow/brown water coming in and we did not use this toilet, the downstairs shower door was broken, dust nets everywhere, a dirty and sticky floor, the upstairs bedroom window did not close so at night you always heard the noise from the air conditioning/heating that was constantly turning on and off, several lamps were broken, the apartment is not insulated because if there were people in the hallway you could hear what was being said, our neighbors across the street came at night and were kind enough to give us a call. If you want clean towels you have to pay extra and I think that will be the same for a clean floor, there was a rag in the kitchen but a towel to dry your dishes was not there either no dishwasher or anything, wifi didn't work at night either I reported all the defects and they came to take a look and repair them, but they probably only came to have a look... I didn't want to indicate stars because this apartment was a big 0, but I have to indicate 1 otherwise I can't post (Original) Het Tritone 91 apartment 1a is een grote schande om zoveel voor te betalen.

(Translated by Google) A nice apartment in a good location in the center. Near the Trevi fountain. The rest is also within walking distance and otherwise there is a metro nearby. Everything is well taken care of in the apartment. There is coffee and tea ready. The refrigerator was also stocked with drinks, well organized!

(Translated by Google) Beautiful apartment, renovated and spotlessly clean. In a central location with very easy access to all the interesting points of Rome and next to the metro. The owner was helpful in everything we asked for. (Original) Όμορφο διαμέρισμα, ανακαινισμενο και πεντακάθαρο.
