Trattoria Basiloco Byron Bay is a century-old family-owned restaurant that offers a laid-back setting and a masterclass in Italian cuisine. The menu features woodfire pizzas cooked to golden perfection, inventive homemade pasta, and antipasti. The trattoria also caters to vegans and vegetarians with special dishes like pumpkin risotto. It's a place where good food and family values come together, providing guests with the opportunity to relax with delicious wine while enjoying simple yet delightful Italian dishes.
Outstanding food. Literally the best Focaccia I’ve ever had. Burrata was awesome but I ate it before I could get a picture. Nice little place with great service. Waiter “Roman” was a good lad

Food was delicious and the Tommy Margherita were pretty good too. We had the calamari entrees which was great and then gnocci and mushroom pasta which were both great. Nice atmosphere sitting outside under cover. Parking available right out the front. Free from 6pm onwards paid prior to 6pm.

A Taste of Italy in Australia! 🇮🇹🇦🇺 Basiloco is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight to a traditional Italian trattoria. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do – you can feel the love in every detail. And the pizza? Simply outstanding! Authentic, wood-fired, with that perfect thin and crispy base, fresh ingredients, and rich flavors that bring back memories of Italy. It’s hard to believe you’re in Australia when you’re enjoying food this good. If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, Basiloco is a must-visit. Grazie mille to the team – we’ll definitely be back! 🍕❤️

We rocked up without a booking and they made space for us on a night when they were fully booked. Authentically Italian!! Highly recommend

Loved this place. Alessio and the team were great hosts and the food was by far the best we’ve experienced in Byron Bay. The menu is well thought out and if you cannot decide just take their recommendation. For diners that are into their wines, the list is outstanding. Highlights were the crudo starters, the carpaccio and the pastas we shared. Pasta is made in house by the way. Thank you team Basiloco and thank you to Marco for the recommendation.

Amazing pizza!!! For the backpackers who miss Vietnam’s Pizza 4P’s, this brings you right back! Team seems really close too which makes the experience even better.
Tristan B — Google review
If you’re planning to visit, definitely make a booking—but don’t expect it to save you from a lengthy wait. When we arrived, the place was understandably busy, but there were four clearly vacant tables in view. Despite this, we were asked to stand to the side while those with reservations were seated (fair enough, we could have booked). However, it took 30 minutes to seat those customers, and after 45 minutes, we were finally seated—at a table that had been empty and just a meter away from us the entire time. Halfway through our wait for food, it became apparent that regular customers receive noticeably better treatment, with staff being warm and friendly toward them. Unfortunately, everyone else seems to be treated as second-class. We ordered a couple pizza’s which were nice and doughy which I personally like. Overall average, if front of house service improved this place would definitely be five stars.
Alexander S — Google review
The food here is sensational! Everything is freshly made - the sauces, the pasta and the pizzas. I could not fault the quality. The only thing I would suggest is adding another person to the roster. Our poor waitress (who did a fantastic job!) was run ragged. It was a great night and thanks for having us. As a local we will see you again for sure!

Lunch restaurant
Beach Byron Bay is a stylish beachfront cafe and restaurant that offers a modern Australian menu. It is known for its delicious seafood options and provides a memorable dining experience with stunning coastal panoramas across the bay. The open-air terrace above Clarkes Beach makes it one of the best restaurants in Byron Bay for ocean views, perfect for special occasions.
Don't question it, just make the reservation, you won't be disappointed! There maybe multiple restaurants in Byron Bay, but there is NO OTHER as fantastic as Beach. When you see the portion sizes you will not question the price. The dishes are generous in size and flavour and the presentation is stunning. I was spoilt for choice when perusing the menu. A good reason to come back soon! The service is impeccable. The staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate. They invest a lot of consideration and care in ensuring you have a wonderful experience. The mussel dish I chose for my entree was probably one of the best I have had from any restaurant. The combination and flavours are unique and delicious. Local Mulloway was my main course of choice, perfectly cooked and served with a light beurre blanc, crispy pancetta and salmon caviar. Both courses were complimented by a beautiful Gros Nore' Rose from the Bandol region of France. I chose Ruby Chocolate mousse for dessert which was again unique and delicious. The chef uses native raspberries from the local market in Byron Bay to perfectly cut through the sweetness and richness of the ruby chocolate. My husband's Rhubarb Mille Feuille was and I quote 'faultless' There was no sunset that afternoon, but a dark, stormy and menacing sky was our vista, making the ocean look like an aquamarine jewel. It was nothing short of breathtaking. I nosily saw a couple nearby ordering from the 'Happy Hour' menu and I was keen to learn further details from our wonderful server Alan. So that is next on the list, Happy Hour, possibly staying for dinner to enjoy the rest of the menu. God I love this place.

We just had the most amazing lunch at Beach. The food was sublime. Oysters, octopus and fish both raw and cooked. Every bite made better by the amazing view of the bay from our table. Thanks for a fabulous experience!

My family stopped in at Beach while we were traveling through Byron Bay and were welcomed without a reservation. Everything that happened after that was a comedy of errors, but I can say with earnest that this restaurant was a highlight of our trip. Sa was our waitress and was incredibly kind to seat us and allow us to wait with some cocktails for an hour until the kitchen reopened after a private event. While we were there, we had a glitch with our night’s accommodations, and since we were traveling from abroad, we asked to use the restaurant’s phone, and when that had issues, Alan very generously let us use his personal mobile to call our villa. Most importantly, the food was delicious. We had the yellowfin tuna starter and can understand why it is a signature dish. The sirloin was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the asparagus was also perfect - well cooked and still had the perfect snap to it. Last, the roast potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and still moist inside. Finally, we had an issue with the payment system which resulted in us paying another table’s bill, but Alan flagged us down in the parking lot so we could get it straightened out. Through all of this, Sa was incredibly kind, warm, and assuring, apologizing profusely for our misfortune. We left wishing we were staying longer so we could try the rest of the menu. If we make it back to Byron Bay, Beach will absolutely be at the top of our list. Cannot recommend stopping here enough for a quality meal and warm environment.

Thank you for letting me sit after the long coastal walk to the easternmost tip of Australia and the lighthouse. I enjoyed an affogato with a local liqueur MAC by Brookie's. Recommended by the lovely waitress who was so welcoming. I loved it so much I bought a bottle to bring home to Melbourne

Where do we even begin. Planning a Byron wedding from Melbourne could’ve easily been stressful, but working with Belinda from day one made it an absolute breeze. She was so organised, helpful and just genuinely lovely to deal with. Nothing was ever too hard and she made the whole process feel seamless. Come wedding day, Sara took over and wow, she was incredible. Calm, collected and completely on top of everything. The day ran so smoothly and we honestly didn’t have to lift a finger. Now let’s talk about the food. The food and drinks were honestly deliciously good. From the canapés during cocktail hour right through to the mains, every single bite was a hit. So many of our guests came up to us saying it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding and they weren’t wrong. The service staff on the day were amazing too. They were all friendly, professional and so switched on. And the venue itself... WOW. The views from the restaurant are spectacular. Photos really don’t do it justice, you simply have to see it to believe it. It’s easily one of the most beautiful spots in Byron. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather, the roof was open and we danced the night away under the stars. It was such a dream. We can’t thank the Beach Byron Bay team (especially Belinda and Sara) enough for helping us pull off the best day of our lives. It will always be forever in our core memories. If you’re thinking about getting married in Byron, this place is a no-brainer..!

Beach Café recently hosted our Zepto customer event, Beyond the Break. From the very beginning, Belinda was outstanding—her support, attention to detail, and dedication made the planning process seamless. On the night, the entire team was exceptionally professional, welcoming, and accommodating. And the food—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented and thoughtfully crafted. We couldn’t recommend Beach Café more highly for anyone looking to host an event or popping in for a meal. A heartfelt thank you to Belinda and the whole team for your wonderful hospitality. The Zepto Team - Byron Bay

We couldn’t have had a better wedding experience. From the outset, Belinda was exceptional to deal with and gave us so much practical advice. On the day, Sara handled coordination perfectly and the venue, food, drinks, attention to detail and overall vibe was superb. Couldn’t recommend more highly. It was the perfect wedding.

There we only 8 other people here. We stopped in for a drink and something to eat after doing the lighthouse walk, really disappointed in the attitude, felt like an imposition we purchased a $9 bottle of water as we wanted some cold no glasses/cups offered again given 2 when there were 3 of us. When we tried to clarify the order name so as not to take the wrong one, again rude. Not helpful at all, shame because perfect location

Il Buco Cafe & Pizzeria is a trendy Italian BYOB spot in Byron Bay, offering artisanal pizzas and classic Italian dishes. The small and casual restaurant doesn't take reservations, but the authentic wood-fired pizzas are worth the wait. With a BYO alcohol policy, guests can grab their favorite beer or wine from a nearby bottle shop to enjoy with their meal.
Incredible restaurant. The food is divine. It's a true Italian restaurant with local flavors!! A taste of Italy in your mouth. A real pizza dough from Italy 🇮🇹 The welcome was great, pleasant, and kind. I recommend it and would happily return✨

Decent pizza place in the heart of Byron Bay, good menu, inside & outside eating available. No alcohol as it is BYO, but that isn't an issue for us service was efficient as the place was very busy, both eating in & takeaway. Our pizza was mushroom, cheese & parama ham, base was nice although was a little soggy in the middle due to the tomato sauce. The crust was fresh & tasty. Kids menu is limited with only a small Margarita available, but was a good size & fresh when it came out. I would recommend it as the food is nice, I would say more suited to an early family dinner or takeaway.
Michelle Y — Google review
Tiny restaurant with more seating outside than inside. Fantastic pizza and antipasto. Also had an outstanding Caprese salad. BYO. Friendly professional service from the Italian owner. Our last visit was in 2015 and nine years later it is just as we remembered. Highly recommend!

this place is a must do when you’re in Byron - we had the burrata and pizza, so delicious! The girl serving us was so lovely but the place is small so the food did take a bit longer. However we didn’t mind as we were relaxing, taking in the atmosphere while drinking our BYO bottle of red wine!

Proper Italian pizza, one of the best I have had. Do not understand why this place only has a 4.4 rating, should easily be 4.9. Well worth a visit. Staff are very good and friendly.

Was happily surprised, best pizza I have ever had. It was perfect. Generous with the toppings, and the wood fired crust and taste were delicious. We had a Margarita and Quattro Staggioni Four Seasons. Thanks!
Jennifer W — Google review
Really great value pizza for the price and so delicious! We split 5 pizzas among 8 people and it was plenty. Lots of options for pizza toppings! We sat outdoors on the pedestrian street and the vibes were immaculate. Perfect for a group dinner.

Had a great pizza for dinner tonight. It’s only very small pizzeria but the outside tables only add to the atmosphete. The pizza was absolutely delicious and although they dont normally do it, they accommodated us with a 1/2 1/2 pizza due to conflicting taste on having slow cooked pork belly!! Setvice was very friendly and quick. Def recommend!

The Italian Byron Bay in Byron Bay, NSW is a world class restaurant that delivers contemporary Italian cuisine with imaginative dishes. Head chef William Ennis has two Michelin starred restaurants under his belt and counts Sydneys Bilsons Restaurant as one of his former employers. The unassuming Asian-inspired restaurant is the number 1 locals favourite in town and offers great value for money.
Great dog friendly place. Awesome food, great cocktails, and really good service. Our 2 dogs were welcomed with a water bowl and a spot under our table.

We got some dinner. Service was very nice and friendly. Food was good, but there were some things missing. Pork was slightly dry and lacking flavour but if eaten with everything else on the plate it was nice. Octopus was perfect!! Fish of the day needed some more sauce, but the fish itself had a nice crisp texture on the outside. And the beef cheeks were super soft but also lacked some flavour, but yet again if eaten together with everything else it was delicious. I loved the sourdough bread the most because it had an amazing honey butter next to it! Overall delicious meal but overpriced a bit.

Absolutely the most amazing Authentic Italian to eat. Home made goats cheese and Pumpkin Ravioli. The Cream Burlee was Absolutely amazing highly recommend going and trying this restaurant.
Renee D — Google review
The resto always seems busy so we wanted to try it. The main was excellent, the sauce slightly on sweet side, but still good. The sorbet was passable, did not taste like sorbet, more like watery gelato. The ambiance is good, the space does reverberate sound, so it can get noisy when busy. The wine list was $$$$. You will not meet many locals here.

Italian restaurant
Di Vino is a locally owned restaurant that opened in 2018, offering an authentic Italian dining experience. The menu, curated by head chef and owner Lucio Grassi, features a variety of dishes that seamlessly blend Italian flavors with local produce. The warm and inviting ambiance, complete with candlelit tables, sets the stage for a romantic evening. Situated in the heart of town, the restaurant also boasts a large terrace for guests to enjoy a refreshing sea breeze.
Discovering the culinary gems of Di Vino restaurant in Byron Bay, I embarked on a culinary journey that astounded my palate. With a chef hailing from Napoli and a waitress originating from Italy, my expectations were elevated, and I can confidently declare that they were not only met but exceeded. Having recently returned from dining meccas in London and Melbourne, I was pleasantly stunned to encounter pasta of such remarkable quality in this serene coastal enclave. Di Vino's prowess transcends its size, surpassing even esteemed establishments in London. The pinnacle of my dining experience was the Lamb Ragu Pappardelle, a dish of unparalleled excellence. The discerning diner can readily discern that the pasta is crafted fresh each day, resulting in a sumptuous texture that complements the rich, savory ragu impeccably. The King Prawn Chilli Pasta, an innovative concoction, tantalized my taste buds with its creativity. I suspect that the inclusion of kimchi chili, referred to as fermented chili, lends a distinct and piquant character to the dish. The sauce, bursting with flavor, hints at the meticulous use of prawn shells, an exceptionally rare touch that elevates the dining experience to unprecedented heights. So enamored was I with these culinary creations that I entertained the idea of ordering three pasta dishes for myself and my companion. Di Vino's irresistible offerings beckon diners to overindulge, for one cannot be certain when they will have the privilege of returning to Byron Bay. The warm and welcoming demeanor of our waitress, Paula, harmoniously complemented the culinary mastery of Chef Lucia. Our impromptu visit to Byron proved serendipitous, granting us the chance to savor this exquisite dining experience. I eagerly anticipate the day when I can once again traverse the miles to Byron Bay and rekindle my affair with Di Vino, a culinary gem that outshines numerous Italian restaurants throughout the country. In addition to the aforementioned delights, I also ventured into the realms of Casarecce with Pork and Fennel Ragu, a third plate in our feast of excess. My astonishment persisted as I encountered the rare digestif, Braulio, available in this charming establishment. This truly remarkable culinary sojourn at Di Vino in Byron Bay has left an indelible impression, and I look forward with great anticipation to my next rendezvous with their culinary offerings.

A classic style Italian joint. A good range of options, with traditional menu items too. Slightly stayed but sweet restaurant, nice spots to sit by the windows. Food was good, rich but flavoursome. We had anchovies, eggplant, squid ink crab pasta, and affogato. Service was a little vague at times, our waiter seemed unsure (but perhaps was new). He recommended a wine that was unfortunately tasted off / very acidic and we sent it back, yet it still appeared on our bill despite not having drank any. The second wine we ordered was much better.
Abbie L — Google review
Food was nice, good sized portions, service was friendly. Nothing bad but also nothing particularly special. It'd definitely be a nicer restaurant experience once they get some sound-proofing put in - or it could also just have been that the people sitting next to us were particularly loud (or both).
Carolyn C — Google review
The restaurant ran out of the market fish and the prawn linguini when my group of friends visited 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night, which was pretty disappointing as we wanted local seafood. To compensate, they gave us a few free salads which was a nice gesture. We ordered the burrata and beef tartare off the antipasti menu, both decent. The orecchiette was probably the only dish that we enjoyed, as the spaghetti main was fairly unexciting.

Nestled in the heart of Byron Bay, No Bones is a vibrant plant-based eatery that champions the idea that ethical food can be incredibly delicious. With a focus on organic and locally sourced ingredients, this culinary gem serves up an array of mouthwatering vegan and vegetarian dishes that cater to all palates, including those who typically enjoy meat. The menu features innovative creations like crispy fried "chicken" with kung-pow sauce and oyster-mushroom souvlaki paired with almond skordalia.
We had the best time at No Bones! A friend recommended the restaurant to us, and after reading the reviews, it was an easy decision to go. We're not vegan and we eat meat occasionally, but we're used to plant-based meals, so we weren't surprised by how good everything was (because YES, you can create wonders with vegan food!). The dishes were absolutely delicious, and we really loved the cocktails too. We tried the Margarita, the Paradise Pearl, the Outback Sour and the Heat Wave (the Heat Wave was surprising! 🌶️) We ended up ordering so much food that we couldn't finish it all, but luckily we were able to take the leftovers home. We tried the bao buns during happy hour, the mac 'n' cheese, the crispy chicken, the organic focaccia, and the eggplant parmi. Everything was amazing; it’s hard to choose a favourite! We were too full to try the chocolate tart, which we regret a little... Service was exceptional, Yasmina was truly amazing. It was a bit chilly inside (winter time...), but that didn't stop us from having a fantastic evening.

We had an incredible dining experience at No Bones! We shared a selection of starters and small plates—every single dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was fast, friendly, and super accommodating. We brought our infant along and felt totally welcomed. We’re not vegetarians, but you’d never guess it from how much we enjoyed the food—it’s just that tasty! Easily one of the best spots in Byron Bay. Highly recommend!

Food is pure art here! Every dish is super creative and packed with flavor. Even my hard core meat- lover partner couldn’t believe it was all plant- based. We left totally impressed (and full! 😋). Staff were super friendly and took time to explain the inside of every dish. Only one request… please bring back the croutons in the Caesar salad!

I stumbled upon this gem and couldn't be happier with my discovery! The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, with flexible seating that lets you choose your perfect spot whether you prefer the comfort of indoor dining or the fresh air of their outdoor area. Their menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated, offering something for every taste. I decided to be adventurous and ordered two different main courses, and I'm so glad I did because both dishes were outstanding. The flavors were spot on and the quality was exceptional. What truly elevated my visit was the exceptional service. The team was genuinely caring and made sure my dining experience was seamless from start to finish. Their attention to detail didn't go unnoticed. Being located in the town center makes this place incredibly convenient and accessible.

Visited for dinner with my partner, we chose the gluten free tasting menu. The server asked about allergies and food restrictions before we ordered. The food is absolutely sensational. Neither of us have any dietary requirements, this is the second time we've eaten here. Brilliant flavours, thoughtful presentation and intentional combinations of textures. The Caeser salad was unexciting, the Beetroot ravioli were delicious. The chocolate tart was out of this world and who would know that wasn't actually fresh calamari? The drinks list is varied, with many beers, wines, cocktails, mocktails and spirits to choose from. The service was impeccable. Highly recommended.

We were there a couple of years ago and our re-visit certainly didn’t disappoint. Beautiful food full of flavours and well presented. If you enjoy vegetarian food I would highly recommend it.

I had high hopes, but was severely disappointed. Service was slow, unfriendly, and drab. Food was uninspiring. I ordered the carbonara. Was lukewarm. Found a hair in my food & after confronting staff had to wait over 15 minutes for another plate, at which point I just wanted to pay my bill and leave. I’m sad to say that I don’t recommend this restaurant. There are many cheaper, much more inviting vegan restaurants to visit in Byron Bay.

Incredible food and coffee! You can tell everything is made with love and thoughtfulness The space is very welcoming! We absolutely love it when we get to call in on a sunny afternoon and have a beautiful hot chocolate while we talk to the friendly owner Paul

Nice good. The smallest bowl ever seen of yoghurt and fruit costing $14. Don’t mind paying that sum but not for that. Quarter of apricot . One strawberry. 8 blueberries. Nice cafe but you are charging way too much. For that

Love this place, delicious, vegan, wholefood goodness. I had the Moroccan slice and my husband had the vegan burger. Both were amazing, coffee is up there too. Love that all the food is organic and wholefoods. We went two days in a row!

Tokyo Doll is a vibrant and captivating restaurant located in the heart of Byron Bay, offering an unforgettable dining experience. The menu features incredibly fresh and delicious Asian cuisine, including must-try Vietnamese oysters and maki rolls. Diners rave about the fried chicken, salmon, and tuna tacos as well.
A great sophisticated restaurant and bar at the Paris end of Jonson street. Byron bay has plenty of grungy eateries but not many with an ambience of casual sophistication which it what this place has in spades. The wine list was eclectic and the food as tasty as it was different. The service was friendly and our waiter paired the wine perfectly with the food. Really recommend this one.

Honestly, this was one of the best Japanese dining experiences I’ve had in Australia💜 The aging and flavor of the sashimi were just perfect — incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared😋 I also loved the vibe — the staff were relaxed and interacted casually with customers, which made the experience even better😍 If I have time, I’ll definitely visit again😉 Highly recommended💚

We just spent 5 nights in Byron and ended up coming back to this restaurant every single night because it was that good. The Tokyo Doll Fried chicken is hands down the best food I’ve ever had. My partner worked his way through the menu and loved every dish. The food and drinks were amazing, packed with flavour and beautifully presented. What really makes this place stand out is the staff, every night we were welcomed with such warmth and looked after so well it made dining here feel special each time. By far our favourite restaurant ever!

Absolutely amazing place. Our favourite restaurant when visiting Byron Bay. Chilled but cool atmosphere. Not pretentious in ambience and food quality is to die for. We were so impressed with this place. Kingfish sashimi was stunning as was the sechuyan squid and dumplings. Great cocktails as well. Wonderful friendly service.

I am a local fan! Tokyo Doll is not only the best Japanese restaurant in Byron Bay. It’s one of my top-3 among all eateries in NSW Northern Rivers region. Exquisite food, outstanding service (what I consider the most important factor), cool ambience. The staff always strive to accommodate walk-ins. The price is not in the “budget” bracket, but it is neither in the highest tags we see in the area. There, you get more than what you pay for.

What a happy vibrant and happening piece of Byron Bay. Welcomed by several team members and checking we were happy diners, we had a wonderful brunch. The open kitchen is a great feature of this establishment and the preparation of the meals being prepared was fantastic to watch. Every plate served with such precision. The fast pace that the food was cooked and plated was also impressive, (and delicious). I give you 20 stars out of 5. We love that we found you, no doubt, up with the best in town. Thankyou all

Over the past decade, I’ve visited Byron every year, and with each trip I’ve tried to discover a new breakfast spot. This year’s find was Bayleaf. I know it’s been around for a while—maybe that’s exactly why I never tried it sooner! The food is wonderful, and I really love the curated menu. I’ve had the chance to taste both their winter and summer dishes, and each one was a delight. The staff is equally lovely, and if you go, don’t miss the matcha cloud—absolutely delicious.

Perfect 5 star experience. Coffee was 10/10. Servers were very attentive and friendly. And the food came so fast it felt as though I had only just finished the order as it had arrived! The honey they used for the coffee incredibly sweat and raw. Juan served us with incredible vibes from the moment sat to the moment we left.

This place is AMAZING! Tucked in a cute area, it has some of the most incredible pastries. We had the ham & cheese and veggie croissant (super good, and I'm a french picky eater so trust me!). The lemon cake was great too. My favorite was their blueberry muffin. Haven't tried their chocolate croissant but if you do, let me know! Staff is super friendly as well. We will definitely come back here! (#ProTip: Doesn't have a ton of space for a sit down breakfast, although people sat on the lawn outside so it works!) #Update: I had to come back and add more information. I tried there burger today (beek, fish and shrimp) and they are just excellent. This place is a #MUST. Owner is french and surprised us by talking to my mom in French. Just incredible service and great food. I've been here 5 days, and I must have come here at least 4 times!!!

Amazing meal and service here on our weekend wedding anniversary getaway in Byron. Started with cocktails and then enjoyed the little Mez banquet for $70 each. Each dish was mouth watering. Very busy cafe and we were lucky to get a seat last minute. You can order from the tables but this finishes at 1:15pm I think it was, so it wouldn’t let us order. We had to then go up to the counter. Buckwheat pancakes were pretty good. Husband loved the flavours of the mushroom toast. We didn’t order drinks as we’d already had a coffee. Good selection of vegan options. Love that it’s organic
Lauren ( — Google review
Such a cute cafe. We had the mushroom on toast & acai bowl. Food tastes quite good but nothing special just like any other breakfast cafe. The menu is quite pricey, $30 for eggs benedict with ham but I guess that’s the standard price in Byron Bay. We also had their smoothies, shine on me, it tastes refreshing.

We went for coffee with my friends and, honestly, we were a bit disappointed. The coffees took almost 20 minutes to arrive, and the taste wasn’t very pleasant. I ordered a sweet muffin and the banana flavor was terrible. One of the waitresses wasn’t very friendly when we asked why the coffees were taking so long. I hope you can take the feedback into account to improve some aspects of the service :)

Service was far too slow. The waitress forgot our order and brought a simple dish out last. They also add a 10% weekend surcharge, which is ridiculous considering weekends are when cafés and restaurants are busiest. Ultimately, the breakfast was way too expensive for what we got. It honestly felt like we’d gone out for dinner rather than breakfast, given how much we spent.

Great-Tasting Pizzas with Plenty of Vegetarian Options We tried three different vegetarian pizzas, and all were delicious. It’s rare to find such a wide variety of vegetarian options at a pizza shop, especially compared to what we usually see in Sydney. The garlic bread from the restaurant is a must try. The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. A word of caution if you’re ordering a family-size pizza—the slices are quite large, and the toppings tend to fall off. Unless you enjoy rolling up your slice to eat it, you might find a smaller size more manageable. Overall, a great place for tasty, well-made pizzas!
Apurva G — Google review
Tasty takeaway from Slice Pizzeria 🍕 We called Slice Pizzeria in Byron Bay for a takeaway order, and they didn’t disappoint! The staff were super helpful over the phone, and the pizza was ready right on time when we arrived. We took it back to our villa to enjoy, and as you can see from the photo — it looked amazing and tasted even better. We got a half-and-half pizza, with one side loaded with mushrooms, herbs, and cheese, and the other with BBQ chicken and that perfect hint of smokiness. The crust was crisp and nicely charred, just how a proper wood-fired pizza should be. Great flavours, quality ingredients, and a very smooth pick-up experience. Highly recommend if you’re after a delicious, no-fuss pizza night in Byron Bay!

Great pizza selection and flavor! Lots of vegetarian options—I’d highly recommend the mushroom pizza. They also make their own chili oil!

We went to get a couple of slices of pizzas for my girls and ended up getting their giant Margherita instead as the value deal. Took 20mins, got a wrong order with pepperoni which they recognised when giving it to us. But we’re super gracious about giving it to us IF we accepted. We don’t eat pepperoni so had to decline the offer and instead got or Margherita in 5mins as promised. The crust was the perfect thin where the toppings weren’t weighing it down and the mozzarella was the kind that hung around in your mouth after the crust had already been swallowed. Loved it!

The Byron Bay General Store is a newly opened cafe that has breathed new life into the original General Store established in 1947. The menu offers popular crowd-pleasers like burgers, smoothie bowls, waffles, and pastries with options for modifications to cater to different preferences. The cafe also serves kombucha on tap, nitro coffee, and cold brews. Known as 'The Top Store,' it is a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy coffee or a relaxed lunch.
The breakfast is so delicious and fresh. The irony is that the food choice is so enticing that you are tempted (and actually) eat much more than you should. The açaí bowl is not too sweet and full of great fruit and seeds. The banana bread is to die for. There is some kind of vegan cupcake with a date frosting that is so good, it can’t possibly be healthy. But is seems it is. Overall, we highly recommend.

The Byron General Store's "Big Breakfast" offers a standout experience in light and flavourful morning fare. It features quality bacon (crispy, not greasy), perfectly cooked eggs, and a flavourful beef sausage. What truly sets it apart are the exciting additions of perfectly salty and squeaky grilled halloumi, a refreshing and zesty sauerkraut, and a subtly sweet and savoury tomato chutney. The absence of excessive oil ensures a surprisingly light feel. The friendly and attentive service further enhanced the experience, with the meal arriving promptly. If you're looking for a big breakfast that breaks the mould with these creative and quality ingredients, the Byron General Store is a must-visit.

Edit Jan 2022: Came and had a lovely lunch here today. The menu was limited due to staffing shortages but both dishes were super fresh, balanced, and tasty. Original review from 2020: Have had numerous beautiful breakfasts, lunches, coffees and catch ups at Barrio! It’s a lovely space with good energy, balanced flavours and friendly staff. What an amazing find! Great food and very friendly service in a nice setting on the outskirts of town. The staff could not have been more friendly and the food was superb. I highly recommend if you are Byron Bay that you come check this very cool spot out. The salad was delicious (not sure I've ever said that before) and the perfect compliment to the rib. The restaurant was quite busy with several large tables so the chef sent over appetizers due to the longer than expected wait. Amazing choice be sure to check it out!

Although the space itself looks very inviting, I was quite underwhelmed with the breakfast menu. It was quite limited. The avocado on toast was also with pickles and seaweed which I don't like so I got toast with a side of avocado. The avocado was more like a dip. It is possible that breakfast is not their main draw card, but was hoping for a bit more.

Great atmosphere!! Super busy as we went in the middle of school holidays yet our meals came out quick, hot and delicious! The service was great, we were checked up on to ensure we had everything and were happy. My favourite was the ragu, using the garlic bread to dip in left over sauces & oils! Oh, can’t forget about the arancini balls, crunchy on the outside and full of flavour on the inside. May have had a pistachio cannoli to finish off… ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

Charming spot for authentic Italian pasta 🇮🇹 Dropped by Puglia Pasta Bar recently for a pasta fix, and it truly delivered. We started with the arancini, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside — a great way to kick off the meal. For mains, we had the Pesto and Aglio & Olio — both dishes were fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The pesto had a rich, herby kick, while the aglio & olio was beautifully simple and garlicky, just as it should be. The atmosphere is inviting with a classic European touch — think traditional tables and a cozy, laid-back vibe. You can check out the setup online, and it’s just as charming in person. Staff were a bit reserved but polite and efficient, which suited the relaxed pace of the place. Perfect for a casual meal that feels a little special. Would happily return!

Nice little pasta restaurant in the heart of Byron. There’s a nice and quieter restaurant court entering between betty’s and poke place and there’s where you’ll find them. Short menu, only offering pasta although it has veggie and meat lovers options too. Garlic bread to start, and then we tried ragu, chilli prawn and mushroom with truffle oil pasta. They were all delicious, but our favourite was the mushroom sauce with truffle. Service was quick and efficient, so great for a stop to eat between swims.

Seeing reviews on Google. I had the Aglio e Olio, which was simple and very delicious. I've never had such delicious Aglio e Olio before. I loved it! Despite the negative reviews, I found the staff to be friendly and the food to be enjoyable. I'd definitely go again. (The coconut water was unexpectedly expensive. haha)

tastes good. pasta al dente. meat sauce not too tart and has a good meaty flavour, very balanced. the waitress/female staff (with the american accent?) was very welcoming and kind too. food was served very quickly, within 5 minutes of ordering. tables & chairs were small and placed along the corridor so i'm guessing it may be a little cramped during peak periods. but overall a good place for a quick and easy lunch with great service.
