The experience was perfect. *** What we liked: The service was sincere, the rendang was not too heavy on the coconut cream, the firecracker chicken was not oily at all albeit a deep fried dish. The prices are very reasonable. *** Recommended? Pretentious Sydney has a lot to learn. I tipped highest amount possible.

Don't question it, just make the reservation, you won't be disappointed! There maybe multiple restaurants in Byron Bay, but there is NO OTHER as fantastic as Beach. When you see the portion sizes you will not question the price. The dishes are generous in size and flavour and the presentation is stunning. I was spoilt for choice when perusing the menu. A good reason to come back soon! The service is impeccable. The staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate. They invest a lot of consideration and care in ensuring you have a wonderful experience. The mussel dish I chose for my entree was probably one of the best I have had from any restaurant. The combination and flavours are unique and delicious. Local Mulloway was my main course of choice, perfectly cooked and served with a light beurre blanc, crispy pancetta and salmon caviar. Both courses were complimented by a beautiful Gros Nore' Rose from the Bandol region of France. I chose Ruby Chocolate mousse for dessert which was again unique and delicious. The chef uses native raspberries from the local market in Byron Bay to perfectly cut through the sweetness and richness of the ruby chocolate. My husband's Rhubarb Mille Feuille was and I quote 'faultless' There was no sunset that afternoon, but a dark, stormy and menacing sky was our vista, making the ocean look like an aquamarine jewel. It was nothing short of breathtaking. I nosily saw a couple nearby ordering from the 'Happy Hour' menu and I was keen to learn further details from our wonderful server Alan. So that is next on the list, Happy Hour, possibly staying for dinner to enjoy the rest of the menu. God I love this place.

We had such a great time at Bang Bang in Byron Bay! The atmosphere is super fun and energetic, with amazing vibes all around. The staff were so lovely and the service was on point the whole night. The food was SO delicious! Everything is designed to be shared. We were honestly surprised at how generous the portions were—everything just kept coming! We’re big eaters and even we couldn’t finish it all. Had to take a doggie bag home, which says a lot. Really great value for money, especially considering how tasty everything was. The wine list is solid, but the cocktails are where it’s at—so many fun and creative options. If you’re visiting Byron and looking for a great place to eat, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. Such a good time! Note: We dined here December 2024

We had the best time at No Bones! A friend recommended the restaurant to us, and after reading the reviews, it was an easy decision to go. We're not vegan and we eat meat occasionally, but we're used to plant-based meals, so we weren't surprised by how good everything was (because YES, you can create wonders with vegan food!). The dishes were absolutely delicious, and we really loved the cocktails too. We tried the Margarita, the Paradise Pearl, the Outback Sour and the Heat Wave (the Heat Wave was surprising! 🌶️) We ended up ordering so much food that we couldn't finish it all, but luckily we were able to take the leftovers home. We tried the bao buns during happy hour, the mac 'n' cheese, the crispy chicken, the organic focaccia, and the eggplant parmi. Everything was amazing; it’s hard to choose a favourite! We were too full to try the chocolate tart, which we regret a little... Service was exceptional, Yasmina was truly amazing. It was a bit chilly inside (winter time...), but that didn't stop us from having a fantastic evening.

No oyster sauce, no chicken stock—everything truly vegetarian! This is rare for Thai restaurants, so we were thrilled. We enjoyed several vegetarian dishes and loved the food so much that we returned the next day for dinner. No wonder this place is packed every night! We had red curry, green curry, wild chili basil, and fried rice. Out of all the dishes, the wild chili basil was our favorite. Caution wild chili basil is really hot.

My partner and I have had nothing but fantastic experiences at Kinoko every time we visit Byron Bay. While the food is consistently great, what truly sets this place apart and makes it a memorable stop for us is the exceptional service. We've found that waitstaff at other local restaurants can sometimes be less attentive and slow to action requests, which is why Cal's service truly stood out. He was incredibly attentive on every visit, consistently going the extra mile to ensure we were happy with our meals. His dedication really ties the whole dining experience together, something rarely found in restaurants these days. I truly hope the owner reads this and values staff like Cal, who transform a good restaurant into a fantastic one. We love this place! If we feel like sharing dinner, we opt for the prawn gyoza, beef tataki, mixed grills, sushi combination and the wagyu sirloin steak. And if not usually the gyoza, edamame and ramen.. my favourite is the spicy miso add an egg.. Open kitchen with a hibachi grill is always a winner. They share their kitchen 2 nights a week with another epic ramen providers, so whatever night you rock up, you’re in for a treat.

The $12 lunch special is exceptional value. It value for money which is often rare these days. The sushi is being made constantly and the fresh juices are surprisingly delicious. I’d recommend the tropical juice especially if you’re going to walk along the beach. I’ve been here several times and the team are helpful, polite and great at what they do. Definitely give this place a visit it’s quick and easy.

We spent a pleasant evening at Yulli's for dinner on a Saturday night. We had the $48 pp banquet menu which was good value. Great presentation, tasty dishes and excellent service. We had the paired drinks which included a cocktail, two wines and a sake, the standout of the four drinks being the sake. It's great to see that in these times, there is still quality food to be had at a good price.

A great sophisticated restaurant and bar at the Paris end of Jonson street. Byron bay has plenty of grungy eateries but not many with an ambience of casual sophistication which it what this place has in spades. The wine list was eclectic and the food as tasty as it was different. The service was friendly and our waiter paired the wine perfectly with the food. Really recommend this one.
