Excellent and very tasty arancini with many options to choose from. They are best eaten straight away as they are warm. We took 3 different ones for 2 people and this was plenty and feeling well full after. A local sitting next to us told us that the size is smaller than most arancinis but the filling is always good. We went for the mushroom, eggplant with tomato sauce and the octopus ragu. All different tastes and all excellent. There are some tables and stools outside.

Touristy, but what do you expect? Haha. We recommend trying out one of the less traditional fillings as you can get amazing arancini in numerous places around without the line but if you do the line here make sure to try something new! (Also the line moves pretty fast so it’s not like that’s a problem.

Incredible variety and top-notch quality of arancine! Ke Palle offers both the beloved classics and creative modern twists. We tried four flavours — con ragù, salmon, pistachio, and alla Norma. Each one had its charm, but alla Norma became my personal favourite thanks to its lightness and perfectly balanced taste. This spot is one of the most famous places for arancine in Palermo, known for reinventing this traditional Sicilian street food while staying true to its roots. Definitely worth a visit if you want to experience arancine at their finest!

During my stay in Palermo, I returned to this place several times, both to dine in and to get takeaway. The arancini are simply delicious! It’s also a great spot for vegetarians and vegans, who will find tasty options here. When visiting KePalle, I highly recommend trying the Ragù di Verdure; absolutely perfect and full of flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try a few more varieties!

The place is not that big, but the atmosphere is quiet nice, we did not have to wait for our orders. I have dairy-allergy and I was happy that we could find this place with more tasty options. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available and prices are ok, because the portions are big.

Delicious and great sized aranchini. we tried the BBQ and the one with swordfish/ragu. I prefered the swordfish, since the BBQ, although tasty, was kind of salty and sweet.

Stunning arancini! They are super big and very tasty. They have any filling you could think off and the speed of the service is superb. The only downside is, the terrace space is somewhat limited and the place gets very busy so it may be challenging to find a table to eat.

Loved the place. The atmosphere is amazing. I ordered desserts and some cookies to go. It was nice. During Christmas holidays it was quite busy and the staff was handling it with a nice smile on their face. You can stay there and enjoy ur time while eating some amazing dessert and drinks.

The panini and coffee were good, and the waiter was friendly and attentive despite a language barrier. Some details could be improved, such as cleaner cutlery and serving water in a proper glass instead of a plastic cup. Spinnato dal 1860, an old-school cafe in Palermo on a beautiful tree-lined pedestrian street, is the perfect place for an afternoon drink, a snack, or an aperitivo before dinner. - as well as great people watching! They also have a more modern cafe on the Piazza Castelnuovo, right across the street from the Politeama Theatre.

The arancini’s were okay, the coffee was good, the devils food cake was dry and too sweet. The waiter was a bit rude, got our order wrong and still tried to charge us for the extra thing we didn’t order. I wouldn’t recommend, nor would I return.

This cafe has been in operation since 1860. Inside, you have a candy store, full cakes, pastries, ice creams, and dessert sections. Outside, there is a large covered patio. We were served by different servers, which caused a long delay when asking for the bill. Coffee was OK and the desserts freshly made and a bit too sweet.

Our first spot to try in Palermo. Loads of different pizza types with thin crust, thick crust and filled crust. There is lmost too much variety and it is hard to choose from. However the prices are quite cheap for hiw big the portions are. I tried the Frida pizza with ricotta filled crust and pistachio, pesto and cherry tomatoes center. However there weren't many tomatoes on the pizza and as ricotta is a very mild and low salt cheese, even with the pesto, it was hard to get the different notes in taste. On the other hand, Fujiyama pizza with speck was very delicious. I recommend a visit so you can see try different types of authentic italian pizzas.

This place was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. I had a speck, ricotta, mushroom and walnut pizza…folded at the edges with extra ricotta and walnut pesto stuffed inside. Incredibly thin base. Divine!! Lovely staff. Great atmosphere. Very affordable. I was just sad that the pizza was so big I couldn’t finish it.

hands down the best pizza I ever ate. I had the pizza vegana, although it was just yellow and red cherry tomatoes, it had so much flavour and it was so fresh! Way better than the classic pizzas with red tomato sauce. Make sure you reserve a place for the terrace outside, because inside it’s too hot in summer.

I visited this place because it came up in my recommendations. I ordered a Capricciosa pizza (€10) and a Coca-Cola Zero (€4). The pizza price was quite reasonable, but I found it strange that a Coke costs nearly half the price of the pizza. My total bill came out to €16.50, which included the infamous "table service"- something quite typical for Italian restaurants, but in this case, the charge felt a bit steep. That said, I have to commend the staff. They were very polite and professional, which I really appreciated. I enjoy that kind of professional approach and it made a positive impression. As for the quality of the pizza - I have to say I was disappointed. Not because it was bad, but because I had higher expectations based on the reviews I had read. Honestly, the pizza was average. Not bad at all, just nothing special. It tasted like something you’d get in any other Italian restaurant. This is only my opinion of the Capricciosa pizza -I didn't try other options, which might be better. The atmosphere is very pleasant, both inside and outside. The restaurant is tucked away, yet still close to the city center, making it a great spot to take a break from the crowds.

I had a bad experience this evening at this restaurant. Firstly they don’t have enough staff to manage the tables and the waiters don’t care of what customers are feeling. Only the guy who gives the table is accommodating and friendly. They messed up our order and when they informed them they just added a topping and gave a cold pizza. They also had a problem in the bathroom to close the door, and they made me wait forever to fix it. They didn’t show concern about cooking the pizza properly or even fixing the restroom door even when I’m pregnant. Very bad service.

Best pizza of Palermo according to my local cousin. And he did not overstate! Many special types of pizza. All of them very tasteful. Ofc they also have some delicious classics. Same goes for the aperitifs. Tiramus was a bit too sweet for my taste (but that might be just me). Coffee was top.

The food was good and enjoyable. The service was good for the first half of the meal, and the early courses were brought out in a timely fashion. However, this wasn't the case in the last half of the meal, where time between dishes increased significantly. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for desert and the check. The staff looked quite busy, so maybe it was an off night. In any case, the food was good, but a more attentive staff would've made a decent dining experience a great one.

The Antipasti del Culinario was a delicious vegetarian platter that can be shared by 2 people. I enjoyed this because I really just wanted some vegetables after many days of pizza and pasta. We also ordered the pasta alla Norma, which was okay. Vibe and atmosphere is cozy and enjoyable. Friendly waitstaff.

Food and service was good. They only charged 2 euro each for cover charge, however, they did not give us bread until we asked for. The squid ink pasta was tasty but the other one was so so. They gave us a little glass of lemon wine for free after our meal 👍🏼.

Fabulous! We were a bit apprehensive after seeing a few of the negative reviews but this restaurant was amazing. They service was extremely attentive from seating to payment. The servers were all very polite and tended the table often. It was a busy night with several large 10+ tables around us. We had a bottle of the Sav, several starters and mains. They were all divine! They let us take our left over to go. Music and atmosphere were lovely; Italian music playing unlike other areas nearby that play awful 90s Madonna etc on repeat. Just a fabulous restaurant and dining experience overall. Highly recommend.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our first day in Sicily. We got the caponata, burrata with smoked salmon and pistachio cream, pizza and squid ink pasta. Everything was delicious and generous portions!

As seven stars Google Reviewer, I give overall rating 4 stats, mainly driven by very nice and responsive service by the staff and nice ambience of the restaurant in open space area. I know it is difficult to maintain sustainable quality everyday, but despite good looking paccheri mediterania (it has bad smell / odour probably from the mussels) that I really cannot eat or finish it (only 1 star for this), but the staff immediately asked me and five me another food, I think black quid ink ravioli which taste good (4 stars for this), caponata just OK. Hence overall food I give 3 stars mainly because recovered by the staff with a new plates. I know probably just a one night incident and I was not lucky, but rhe Chef should be able to smell a bad odor food, or bad smell ingredients, so in this case I criticise the Chef of those responsible for the quality check in the kitchen. I hope you serve a better seafood quality, if I visit Palermo again the future.

Delicious pastries! The tiny gelato sandwich and delizia pistachio cake were so tasty. And the cannolicchio was perfect! Great coffee too.

After trying many cannolis in Palermo, I can confidently say this was by far the best. In addition to their amazing cannolis, we sampled a variety of mignons and an iris — and everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was wonderful too, filled with local workers grabbing a quick bite and kids returning from school, which made it feel genuinely authentic. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We had food elsewhere in Palermo that was half as good for twice the price. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting — I honestly wish I could eat here every day.

While the cakes themselves were nice, the man who served us was rude. Obnoxious clearly into his phone more than serving us and being somewhat stuck up with my friend's best attempt to speak Italian seemingly consistently misunderstanding which cake she wanted, one or two pieces of. He then proceeded to play with his phone as he was half wrapping our package and generally seemed just annoyed at our existence. The taste of cakes was definitely not worth the attitude that we were given in this place

Pasticceria Cappello is truly the best sweet shop in Palermo. The quality of their baked goods is outstanding, and I absolutely love it. Every time I stay in Palermo, this place makes me fall in love with the city even more. I ended up going there every day to enjoy their delicious cakes and pastries. Highly recommended!

Local cafe/pastry shop. Came here to check if it’s actually the best cannoli in Palermo. Maybe in Palermo it may be the best but i’ve had better. Everyone may like their cannolis in many ways. Their cannoli was different. Did taste authentic. Coffee was good. Service was good, staff were friendly. The best part is this shop is local so the prices are not that expensive. 1 cannoli & a coffee for 2.5 euro! They have alot of variety I would visit again! Highly recommend.

Fantastic food, incredible atmosphere. Steps away from a tourist hub without the tourist trap feel. My wife and I went back two nights in a row just for the authentic trattoria feel and great food. Carlos, Farad, and staff took great care of us! Highly recommend the Norma pasta!

Lovely atmosphere, wonderfully kind staff, and absolutely delicious food! This became our favourite restaurant in Palermo. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a second time during our five-day stay. I highly recommend booking a table in advance, as it’s usually quite busy, especially at dinner.

Best food I had in Palermo and among the best in Sicily. The wait was a little long despite reservations but that’s because the place is so good. They do have a lot of seating if outdoor space is open, and ambience is excellent. Inside was really cool and rustic and outside in an amazing part of town with a lot of old world charm. All the locals said this was the best food in the city, and they were correct! Our waiter Farad was amazing and worked really hard, was awesome with recommendations and very friendly. This restaurant is definite go to!!!

A great spot, even if it’s a bit touristy - excellent location, with a charming stone courtyard in traditional Sicilian style and cool air-conditioned seating inside. The staff speaks English, and the food was excellent, especially the seafood pasta. We were very happy with our visit! I’d recommend coming right at opening time or booking in advance to get a table.

Went for lunch without a booking and La Galleria was busy but we grabbed a seat at the bar and had a glass of wine while we waited for a table for about 20 minutes. Staff were friendly and despite being busy with other patrons were happy to recommend some wines to try and kept us updated about our table availability. The food was very good (we had fish and seafood soup), served promptly. For a busy restaurant on a busy day, the service was exceptional: warm and friendly, and very attentive. Overall a highly recommended option if you’re in Palermo.

Arrived from NYC and this place was recommended by one of tour guides. A reservation is highly recommended. They have an extensive local wine list. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the ravioli , pasta with sausage, and the pork with potatoes. The desert was excellent. It was the best food we had in Palermo.

lovely restaurant we ate lunch in to celebrate my birthday, we was seated outside which we did pre book, would recommend doing this as as we sat down it started to get more busy and was queing down the street, we both had 2 different types of pasta, they was both yummy! the atmosphere was great, staff was good but could’ve been more attentive, overall a good lunch/dinner spot.

Would absolutely recommend Ristorante Gagini to anyone in Palermo. We chose the tasting menu, and we were not disappointed. The casoncello was my favorite. And the bread was a bonus, delicious surprise. Service was amazing too!

My wife and I enjoyed a very special evening at Ristorante Gagini. The location is very pedestrian-friendly. The building is from the 16th century, wiith ancient stone walls that take you back in time. The modern furniture and artwork is lovely. Giuseppe (manager), the sommelier and our server made our evening wonderful from arrival to departure. The service and the food were excellent. We requested a wine pairing for our a la carte meals and it was an excellent experience. We recommend and would return again without question!

Amazing restaurant in Palermo, hard to find gem in the city. The tasting menu at €110, was a bargain, serious creation in the dishes. The harmony of taste was unreal, the tasting menu was six courses, and definitely it was worth the money and a portions and flavors were wonderful. We had the one star Michelin dinner in Taormina’s Principe Cerami the night before, this place is so much better. Highly recommended.

TOURIST TRAP 🥲 Came here because I was craving tiramisu. Saw a tomato soup with mussels on the menu and thought it would be a nice dinner. What I got was a plate of mussels in a white sauce - with a knife, no spoon or fork. Tasted it - not good, not a soup at all. ☹️Checked the menu on Google - it clearly said tomatoes. Turns out I accidentally ordered the version without tomatoes, though the waitress never asked which one I wanted. Disappointed, I sent the dish back and ordered tiramisu. They still charged me for the soup because I had “eaten it.” Tiramisu was okay, but nothing special. In the end - one tiramisu for €20. Disappointing, but lesson learned.

It’s run by very lovely people and they have been very attentive and did their best to make us feel at ease. What lets them down is the food, which unfortunately is average at best. We had some sfincione and alici al beccafico to start, which were okay but definitely weren’t packing as much flavour as we have experienced in other places. We then had some tuna and green coral pasta; again pretty average and the green coral pasta lacked that oomph I would have expected in Sicily. The tuna was okay, but was previously frozen which is okay for preparing it to be eaten raw, but that wasn’t our case. The side dishes were also disappointing, some cold roast potatoes and salad leaves and tomatoes! We are in Italy, surely we can do better! Seriously wished it was better, but definitely not living up to what I expected.

Wonderful experience at our last day in Sicily! We were the first guests and tried the local meat and salmon pasta. Along with the red wine it was super good. Atillio the waiter was fantastic. Even the owner came out to explain us more about Sicilian pistachio. Grazie 🙏

Found this gem while on vacation to Sicily in one of those beautiful narrow side streets. Everything about this restaurant was exceptional! The quality and taste of the food was out of this world! The owner personally took care of us which made me and my woman feel very special! I ordered the Sea Urchin with Fresh Pasta and my special lady ordered the Mixed Seafood with Fresh Pasta + Dessert...YUMM!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling to this part of Sicily! A+++

Incredible Lunch – True Sicilian Flavors We had a fantastic lunch at Osteria Pane e Alivi, authentic spot tucked away in a peaceful piazza in Palermo. The food was fresh, flavorful, and full of Sicilian character. We tried several dishes, each more delicious than the last. The fresh pasta with shrimp and pistachio pesto was a definite highlight—creamy, aromatic, and a must-try. The pasta with tomato sauce, fried eggplants, and salty ricotta was rich and comforting. The ravioli filled with sausage and potatoes, topped with cacio cheese cream and crispy guanciale, was packed with flavor and absolutely comforting and satisfying. We also shared the sliced beef steak with rocket, cherry tomatoes, Grana Padano flakes, and balsamic vinegar—tender, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. Service was kind and relaxed, making for a perfect midday meal. If you’re in Palermo and looking for a place to enjoy a high-quality, local lunch, this is it. Don’t miss the pistachio pesto!

Very good restaurant. Seems to attract more locals than tourists, but they are still very welcoming to all. The swordfish caponeta was particularly good.

Unfaithful restaurant! I ordered a whole lobster and they mixed the meat inside pasta with the meat almost can’t be seen, only the shells there! Much less than we ordered from other restaurant. Not friendly to foreigners!

We stopped off for a coffee lovely atmosphere, staff are super friendly especially the lady. We had a couple of limoncello spritz here and they kindly gave us some snacks with it. The bread was amazing and fresh. Prices wore very reasonable. Really recommend

Without exaggerating, this is the best pistachio granita I ever had!! It did not taste artificial at all, but actually had tiny pieces of pistachio in there and was so wholesome in flavor! This made my day!

Great coffee and granita place in the city center. We had coffee granita and iced coffee, both really good - not too sweet, not too watery, the flavor was just right and refreshing. It is also nice to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of the streets of Palermo. The service was a bit slow, but there were a lot of people, so it is understandable. If you’re looking for an amazing gastronomic experience in Palermo, this is the place! Every dish was exciting and deliciously well balanced. The plates never stopped coming, so bring your appetite! The sea tasting menu was excellent, every dish was innovative and with layers of complexity that showed the quality of the ingredients. Wine pairing was good, the service attentive and helpful. Enjoy this little place before the world does.

This is a really fantastic restaurant and the staff are wonderful. We had the tasting menu and the 3 glasses of wine to pair. The food was some of the best we ate in Italy and the experience was fab. It is the right mix of formal dining and relaxed atmosphere. The food and service were excellent. I would return to Palermo just to go to this restaurant! If you consider doing the 8 course tasting menu book no later than 8.30 it takes a while!

The food was wow, like the pasta with seafood really tasted of the sea, prawns sweet and clams salty, I almost burned my tongue cause I eat too fast. Atmosphere kind of elegant but also warm, lights soft, music low, you feel calm, not like those noisy places where you can’t hear yourself. The waiter had this blue shirt, bit wrinkled, but he smiled a lot and told us about a white wine, honestly I don’t even remember the name but it fit so good with the food. Prices, yeah not cheap, but with the way they serve and the flavors I didn’t mind. I saw desserts passing by, big plates, colorful, next time maybe I just order one even if I’m already full.

A great culinary experience. I found this restaurant on the Michelin’s guide and I am surprised that it doesn’t have a star yet. The quality of the ingredients, the presentation of the food and the service are all top notch. The wine was also very well paired. It is definitely the best restaurant I had the pleasure of eating at in Sicily by far. The only down note, it is that the quality of the food is not matched by the ambience, that while being clean, pretty and tidy, it looks like a regular small restaurant.

Went there for my boyfriend‘s B-day and had the best food experience ever. We had the degustationmenu with 8 delicious courses paired with a wine degustation of 5 different local wines. The presentation was a 10 and the explanation of every dish & wine was really outstanding. Big thanks to Valentina (all the other very sweet ladies too, which i dont know the names) and offcourse il GRANDE Chef Gianfilippo. We went 4 times in 1 week to this restaurant because of the delicious pizza and the lovely ambient. Best pizza I have ever eaten. The service is really kind and fast. Sadly, our vacation ends so we will miss the food. All the best to the restaurant team from Germany and thank you for the great food!

This became a favorite place during our stay in Palermo. Pizza selection, quality, and taste was the best we found. Dessert is homemade and delicious. They also have their own bottled beers A&T which are awesome. Highly recommended!

Pizzas were tasty. Personnel courteous enough, but service was kind of slow due to the lack of hard cooy menus, but via QR codes and weak mobile network signal...so we could not see the menu... They helped us to connect us to their WiFi network and then we were able to browse the menu and order.

Our first time visiting here, we were happy and excited. Had we finally, finally, found a pizzaria that is excellent on every single metric? Because, they clearly know what they are doing! We ordered the Emilian and the Explosion of Flavour - and while they were not exactly what we were looking for, we could see the 'art' or 'science' behind them. The Explosion of Flavour had, unlike so many other Sicilian dishes, flavour, and the Emilian was just pure genius. The lemon/citrus dough was >fantastic<, even a bite with only dough and nothing else was still nice because it reminded you of lemon cake. The addition of the teriyaki-esque sauce and the green pesto, together with the nice amount of ham, created such a unique flavour, wow. Absolutely brilliant. We were looking for a more red/tomato-y flavour though, perhaps spicy, definitely very flavourful, but we were optimistic. So we came back a second time, and ordered the Diavoli and the Del Maso. And... We really really wanted to like the pizzas, but we were slightly disappointed. They just were not so flavourful as we had hoped for, the Diavoli was not spicy at all, and the Del Maso tasted mostly like cheese and ham (speck, but it wasn't very flavourful at all, if we wouldn't know it from the menu we'd call it ham), which was disappointingly normal and bland-ish. The olives (on Diavoli) and mushrooms (on Del Maso) felt as if they were unfrozen (because e.g. mushrooms should be smoother, not so squishy, if they are not frozen, and they also didn't give that much flavour). The dough, though, was again perfect, and I do want to give compliments for that, every type of dough was extremely well made. All in all, we still want to come back here to give it a third try, because the Emilian was just so perfect, and the Explosion of Flavour proves that they can make flavourful pizzas - but surely a Diavoli would also be one of the most flavourful pizzas, right? A really lovely little pizzeria - tucked away in a small side street, which actually adds to its charm. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The starter was great, the pizza was perfectly sized and delicious, and the dessert was excellent as well. The only small downside was the wine list, which could be a bit more extensive - but that's just a personal preference. All in all, a great experience! If you ever find yourself in Palermo again, this is definitely a spot you shouldn't miss.

A truly enjoyable dining experience from Every perspective! Besides the menu selections there were a number of additional specials so we tasted several appetizers that were all scrumptious. We chose two pastas from the menu - a bucatini with sardines and spaghetti with cuttlefish and bottarga that were both delicious. The wine selections are extensive and we asked for advice on a Sicilian wine to accompany our meal, and were thrilled with their recommendation. We were warmly welcomed at Seven Restaurant and seated on the spectacular rooftop terrace overlooking Palermo’s skyline, a breathtaking setting. Service was professional, staff attentive and caring. We started with the picanha, tender and flavorful, while the octopus, though well presented, was a bit chewy. The shared gnocchi was superb, creamy, rich, and perfectly cooked. Booked the 19:00 slot to get the sunset. Turned out this was a drinks only slot but as I said we booked 6 months ago and didn’t realise they were kind enough to also squeeze us in for dinner which starts at 19:45. The view is breathtaking the food is also very nice and a great spot for a romantic dinner.

I had the best gnocchi I’ve ever eaten (it had a little kick). Multiple enjoyed the Seabass. Only a dozen or so food options, but everything they made was tops.

Just wow, we have been in Italy for a week now and this is by far the best meal we’ve had. Fried calamari, bolognese spaghetti and salami pizza were sooo tasty. Very good value for your money. I would eat here every single night! I do recommend

A lovely place for breakfast in Palermo. It is very afordable and offers a variet of different pastries and coffee. I loved the pistacho muffin! That was absolutely amazing. I also tried pistachio canoli and tarte (yes, a lot of pistachio) and the tarte with the canolo were a bit too sweet for my liking. The pistachio was mixed mostly with white chocolate and the utter sweetness made it a bit hard to finish.

We've been to Sciampagna for more than 5 times, their macarons are divine (see photo below). I really think that they are great masters of pastry art. The place is absolutely worth visiting. As for their products, we can really not complain. However, the place is unreliable: in the last 6 months we found it closed twice (once we found out that they were on holidays, which they definitely deserved, but the other day-off was without any justification). The staff is nice, a bit reserved, but this kind of Western style is still ok. Their products are definitely expensive, but they guarantee a nice, clean space. I find the shop often empty, glass shelves are echoing without any displayed product, which is a pity and we don't really like the dine-in space upstairs. Nonetheless, if you like sophisticated well-designed and very French-styled cafés, Sciampagna will do for you.

Unfortunately we forgot our takeaway pizza on the table and it was thrown away within the half hour it took us to remember it, much to our dismay at our forgetfulness as it was a truly delicious pizza and we will definitely not forget our take out next time (we're in honeymoom mode so we are trying to forgive ourselves because honestly we were looking forward to having the pizza in our hotel room later and we're still beating ourselves up for our idiocy). The food was so impressive we will be going back every day of our stay to try everything of interest on the menu. I would definitely recommend eating here. We did have to wait a bit for our bill and I needed to leave so I did have to ask for it a few times. However the food arrived at the table promptly. Overall a positive experience and this place truly deserves 5 of 5 stars despite any minor issues faced. Definitely the best pizza I've had on the island.
