Ke Palle, which translates to "What Balls," is a popular street-food kiosk known for its exclusive offering of arancini. These deep-fried rice balls come in various flavors such as prawn and pistachio, slow-cooked ragu, and even Nutella for those with a sweet tooth. Visitors can pair these iconic Sicilian snacks with a local Messina beer subtly flavored with sea salt for the complete experience.
A must-try Sicilian street food, this shop is undoubtedly the best place for arancini (fried rice balls). We ordered three flavors: curry chicken, fish, and mushroom, each with its own unique twist, and all featuring an incredibly crispy crust. The only regret was missing out on the octopus flavor. If I come to Sicily, I’ll definitely try it next time!
Alan C — Google review
Excellent and very tasty arancini with many options to choose from. They are best eaten straight away as they are warm. We took 3 different ones for 2 people and this was plenty and feeling well full after. A local sitting next to us told us that the size is smaller than most arancinis but the filling is always good. We went for the mushroom, eggplant with tomato sauce and the octopus ragu. All different tastes and all excellent. There are some tables and stools outside.
Simon R — Google review
Touristy, but what do you expect? Haha. We recommend trying out one of the less traditional fillings as you can get amazing arancini in numerous places around without the line but if you do the line here make sure to try something new! (Also the line moves pretty fast so it’s not like that’s a problem.
Rumpelstiltskin — Google review
Incredible variety and top-notch quality of arancine! Ke Palle offers both the beloved classics and creative modern twists. We tried four flavours — con ragù, salmon, pistachio, and alla Norma. Each one had its charm, but alla Norma became my personal favourite thanks to its lightness and perfectly balanced taste. This spot is one of the most famous places for arancine in Palermo, known for reinventing this traditional Sicilian street food while staying true to its roots. Definitely worth a visit if you want to experience arancine at their finest!
Catherine — Google review
During my stay in Palermo, I returned to this place several times, both to dine in and to get takeaway. The arancini are simply delicious! It’s also a great spot for vegetarians and vegans, who will find tasty options here. When visiting KePalle, I highly recommend trying the Ragù di Verdure; absolutely perfect and full of flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try a few more varieties!
Arzu A — Google review
The place is not that big, but the atmosphere is quiet nice, we did not have to wait for our orders. I have dairy-allergy and I was happy that we could find this place with more tasty options. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available and prices are ok, because the portions are big.
Alexandra S — Google review
Delicious and great sized aranchini. we tried the BBQ and the one with swordfish/ragu. I prefered the swordfish, since the BBQ, although tasty, was kind of salty and sweet.
Angela P — Google review
Stunning arancini! They are super big and very tasty. They have any filling you could think off and the speed of the service is superb. The only downside is, the terrace space is somewhat limited and the place gets very busy so it may be challenging to find a table to eat.

This historic establishment is celebrated for its exceptional espresso and traditional cannoli pastries. It has been recognized with prestigious awards, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike.
Saw this on google recommendations, Had a lovely breakfast here which a variety of sweet and savoury here. Returned for evening drinks, which was joined with amazing treats. One being some sort of strawberry cream tart, best I have ever tasted. Also the service was quick, polite and very friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing cause of its location down a cozy walkway, full of orange trees. Don’t miss this place.

Loved the place. The atmosphere is amazing. I ordered desserts and some cookies to go. It was nice. During Christmas holidays it was quite busy and the staff was handling it with a nice smile on their face. You can stay there and enjoy ur time while eating some amazing dessert and drinks.
Enoop M — Google review
The panini and coffee were good, and the waiter was friendly and attentive despite a language barrier. Some details could be improved, such as cleaner cutlery and serving water in a proper glass instead of a plastic cup. Overall, a relaxed café that feels more like 3.5 stars, but I’ll round it up to 4

Spinnato dal 1860, an old-school cafe in Palermo on a beautiful tree-lined pedestrian street, is the perfect place for an afternoon drink, a snack, or an aperitivo before dinner. - as well as great people watching! They also have a more modern cafe on the Piazza Castelnuovo, right across the street from the Politeama Theatre.
Francine L — Google review
Great quality and delicious treats, quick and excellent service, affordable prices. A lovely cafe located in a beautiful area. Would definitely recommend this place!
Drosia A — Google review
The arancini’s were okay, the coffee was good, the devils food cake was dry and too sweet. The waiter was a bit rude, got our order wrong and still tried to charge us for the extra thing we didn’t order. I wouldn’t recommend, nor would I return.
Graciela S — Google review
This cafe has been in operation since 1860. Inside, you have a candy store, full cakes, pastries, ice creams, and dessert sections. Outside, there is a large covered patio. We were served by different servers, which caused a long delay when asking for the bill. Coffee was OK and the desserts freshly made and a bit too sweet.

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Pizzeria Frida is a vibrant restaurant located in the historic center of Palermo, offering a colorful Frida Kahlo theme and a bustling terrace. The pizzeria is known for serving hearty vegetarian and vegan pizzas made with local and fresh ingredients. One of their must-try pizzas is the pistachio quadri with ricotta stuffed crust. It has gained popularity for its high gluten-free awareness and unique pizza options like ham and walnuts or green veggies.
Amazing pizza- the best so far in Palermo that we’ve had- loved the variety of different styles of pizza to have! Our server, Pietro, was fantastic and happy to help. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to the area!!
Hanna W — Google review
Our first spot to try in Palermo. Loads of different pizza types with thin crust, thick crust and filled crust. There is lmost too much variety and it is hard to choose from. However the prices are quite cheap for hiw big the portions are. I tried the Frida pizza with ricotta filled crust and pistachio, pesto and cherry tomatoes center. However there weren't many tomatoes on the pizza and as ricotta is a very mild and low salt cheese, even with the pesto, it was hard to get the different notes in taste. On the other hand, Fujiyama pizza with speck was very delicious. I recommend a visit so you can see try different types of authentic italian pizzas.
İpek Ü — Google review
This place was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. I had a speck, ricotta, mushroom and walnut pizza…folded at the edges with extra ricotta and walnut pesto stuffed inside. Incredibly thin base. Divine!! Lovely staff. Great atmosphere. Very affordable. I was just sad that the pizza was so big I couldn’t finish it.
Clara — Google review
hands down the best pizza I ever ate. I had the pizza vegana, although it was just yellow and red cherry tomatoes, it had so much flavour and it was so fresh! Way better than the classic pizzas with red tomato sauce. Make sure you reserve a place for the terrace outside, because inside it’s too hot in summer.
Marie — Google review
I visited this place because it came up in my recommendations. I ordered a Capricciosa pizza (€10) and a Coca-Cola Zero (€4). The pizza price was quite reasonable, but I found it strange that a Coke costs nearly half the price of the pizza. My total bill came out to €16.50, which included the infamous "table service"- something quite typical for Italian restaurants, but in this case, the charge felt a bit steep. That said, I have to commend the staff. They were very polite and professional, which I really appreciated. I enjoy that kind of professional approach and it made a positive impression. As for the quality of the pizza - I have to say I was disappointed. Not because it was bad, but because I had higher expectations based on the reviews I had read. Honestly, the pizza was average. Not bad at all, just nothing special. It tasted like something you’d get in any other Italian restaurant. This is only my opinion of the Capricciosa pizza -I didn't try other options, which might be better. The atmosphere is very pleasant, both inside and outside. The restaurant is tucked away, yet still close to the city center, making it a great spot to take a break from the crowds.
Jingle J — Google review
I had a bad experience this evening at this restaurant. Firstly they don’t have enough staff to manage the tables and the waiters don’t care of what customers are feeling. Only the guy who gives the table is accommodating and friendly. They messed up our order and when they informed them they just added a topping and gave a cold pizza. They also had a problem in the bathroom to close the door, and they made me wait forever to fix it. They didn’t show concern about cooking the pizza properly or even fixing the restroom door even when I’m pregnant. Very bad service.
Sahana H — Google review
Quite possibly the best pizza I've ever had anywhere in Italy. There's really not much else to say. It's absolutely sensational.
Robert — Google review
Best pizza of Palermo according to my local cousin. And he did not overstate! Many special types of pizza. All of them very tasteful. Ofc they also have some delicious classics. Same goes for the aperitifs. Tiramus was a bit too sweet for my taste (but that might be just me). Coffee was top.

Nestled in the heart of Palermo, Il Culinario is a charming eatery that captures the essence of traditional Sicilian cuisine. With its inviting dining room adorned with a vibrant sea mural and a cozy covered terrace, it offers an atmosphere perfect for any occasion. On my visit during an unexpected rainy evening, I was delighted by their exquisite aubergine parmigiana and delectable street food options like panelle and croquettes.
I enjoyed my last dinner in Palermo at this restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, the spaghetti was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the Caprese salad made an excellent starter for one. I absolutely love this place!
Nicole M — Google review
The food was good and enjoyable. The service was good for the first half of the meal, and the early courses were brought out in a timely fashion. However, this wasn't the case in the last half of the meal, where time between dishes increased significantly. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for desert and the check. The staff looked quite busy, so maybe it was an off night. In any case, the food was good, but a more attentive staff would've made a decent dining experience a great one.
Jeremy L — Google review
The Antipasti del Culinario was a delicious vegetarian platter that can be shared by 2 people. I enjoyed this because I really just wanted some vegetables after many days of pizza and pasta. We also ordered the pasta alla Norma, which was okay. Vibe and atmosphere is cozy and enjoyable. Friendly waitstaff.
Connie C — Google review
Food and service was good. They only charged 2 euro each for cover charge, however, they did not give us bread until we asked for. The squid ink pasta was tasty but the other one was so so. They gave us a little glass of lemon wine for free after our meal 👍🏼.
Wai W — Google review
Fabulous! We were a bit apprehensive after seeing a few of the negative reviews but this restaurant was amazing. They service was extremely attentive from seating to payment. The servers were all very polite and tended the table often. It was a busy night with several large 10+ tables around us. We had a bottle of the Sav, several starters and mains. They were all divine! They let us take our left over to go. Music and atmosphere were lovely; Italian music playing unlike other areas nearby that play awful 90s Madonna etc on repeat. Just a fabulous restaurant and dining experience overall. Highly recommend.
Heather A — Google review
Stumbled upon this restaurant on our first day in Sicily. We got the caponata, burrata with smoked salmon and pistachio cream, pizza and squid ink pasta. Everything was delicious and generous portions!
Denise C — Google review
As seven stars Google Reviewer, I give overall rating 4 stats, mainly driven by very nice and responsive service by the staff and nice ambience of the restaurant in open space area. I know it is difficult to maintain sustainable quality everyday, but despite good looking paccheri mediterania (it has bad smell / odour probably from the mussels) that I really cannot eat or finish it (only 1 star for this), but the staff immediately asked me and five me another food, I think black quid ink ravioli which taste good (4 stars for this), caponata just OK. Hence overall food I give 3 stars mainly because recovered by the staff with a new plates. I know probably just a one night incident and I was not lucky, but rhe Chef should be able to smell a bad odor food, or bad smell ingredients, so in this case I criticise the Chef of those responsible for the quality check in the kitchen. I hope you serve a better seafood quality, if I visit Palermo again the future.

I can recommend the fish. The pasta was decent. The ambiance is nice. There were many locals at this place.

Pasticceria Cappello is a renowned pastry shop located in the historic city center of Palermo. Originally opened as a dairy in the 1940s, it has evolved into a famous pastry shop known for its delectable creations.
This place was very busy on Christmas and for a reason, I saw so many beautiful pastry platters arranged in front of my eyes each more enticing than the other. Draw a number at the entrance and wait for your turn, order, pay at the cashier and pick up your carefully packed sweets. Sfogliata with ricotta was my favourite, super crispy layers and balanced ricotta cream. The pistachio petit fours was also amazing. House chocolate bars with pistachio and other nuts or dried fruit also available at the cashier desk.
Naomi R — Google review
Delicious pastries! The tiny gelato sandwich and delizia pistachio cake were so tasty. And the cannolicchio was perfect! Great coffee too.
Julia W — Google review
After trying many cannolis in Palermo, I can confidently say this was by far the best. In addition to their amazing cannolis, we sampled a variety of mignons and an iris — and everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was wonderful too, filled with local workers grabbing a quick bite and kids returning from school, which made it feel genuinely authentic. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We had food elsewhere in Palermo that was half as good for twice the price. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting — I honestly wish I could eat here every day.
Lovrog0 — Google review
While the cakes themselves were nice, the man who served us was rude. Obnoxious clearly into his phone more than serving us and being somewhat stuck up with my friend's best attempt to speak Italian seemingly consistently misunderstanding which cake she wanted, one or two pieces of. He then proceeded to play with his phone as he was half wrapping our package and generally seemed just annoyed at our existence. The taste of cakes was definitely not worth the attitude that we were given in this place
S L — Google review
Great place for a coffee and something to nibble. Amazing croissants with pistachios and the best arancini in the city. I highly recommend arancini with carne (beef).
Zofia L — Google review
Pasticceria Cappello is truly the best sweet shop in Palermo. The quality of their baked goods is outstanding, and I absolutely love it. Every time I stay in Palermo, this place makes me fall in love with the city even more. I ended up going there every day to enjoy their delicious cakes and pastries. Highly recommended!

Local cafe/pastry shop. Came here to check if it’s actually the best cannoli in Palermo. Maybe in Palermo it may be the best but i’ve had better. Everyone may like their cannolis in many ways. Their cannoli was different. Did taste authentic. Coffee was good. Service was good, staff were friendly. The best part is this shop is local so the prices are not that expensive. 1 cannoli & a coffee for 2.5 euro! They have alot of variety I would visit again! Highly recommend.

Nestled in a charming alleyway just behind the stunning Norman Cathedral, Ristorante La Galleria is a delightful find for anyone exploring the historic streets of Palermo. This rustic trattoria offers an authentic taste of Sicilian cuisine, featuring delectable seafood pasta and hearty meat dishes that are sure to satisfy any palate.
I'm not sure what the slightly odd recent reviews are about, ignore them! I suspect these people prefer the more generic food of a fancy hotel to the traditional, delicious food, clearly cooked with love and attention, that we received at La Galleria. Hearty portions, great quality cooking and the friendliest of service is what you'll get at this restaurant. There isn't a dish we had that I wouldn't recommend to be honest. The fried cheese was tangy and salty and I wish I could eat some now. The sardine pasta was out of this world and don't get me started on the wine-list....so many local, well-priced bottles to choose from. My wine-loving husband was in heaven. The lady that served us was so warm and helpful. I'm afraid we didn't catch her name. In fact, we liked it so much, we visited again the next day and did it all over again. This is a must-visit restaurant when you're in Palermo. Until next time....
Kerry M — Google review
Fantastic food, incredible atmosphere. Steps away from a tourist hub without the tourist trap feel. My wife and I went back two nights in a row just for the authentic trattoria feel and great food. Carlos, Farad, and staff took great care of us! Highly recommend the Norma pasta!
Jonathan C — Google review
Lovely atmosphere, wonderfully kind staff, and absolutely delicious food! This became our favourite restaurant in Palermo. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a second time during our five-day stay. I highly recommend booking a table in advance, as it’s usually quite busy, especially at dinner.
Sunny N — Google review
Best food I had in Palermo and among the best in Sicily. The wait was a little long despite reservations but that’s because the place is so good. They do have a lot of seating if outdoor space is open, and ambience is excellent. Inside was really cool and rustic and outside in an amazing part of town with a lot of old world charm. All the locals said this was the best food in the city, and they were correct! Our waiter Farad was amazing and worked really hard, was awesome with recommendations and very friendly. This restaurant is definite go to!!!
Joseph B — Google review
A great spot, even if it’s a bit touristy - excellent location, with a charming stone courtyard in traditional Sicilian style and cool air-conditioned seating inside. The staff speaks English, and the food was excellent, especially the seafood pasta. We were very happy with our visit! I’d recommend coming right at opening time or booking in advance to get a table.
Mariia G — Google review
Went for lunch without a booking and La Galleria was busy but we grabbed a seat at the bar and had a glass of wine while we waited for a table for about 20 minutes. Staff were friendly and despite being busy with other patrons were happy to recommend some wines to try and kept us updated about our table availability. The food was very good (we had fish and seafood soup), served promptly. For a busy restaurant on a busy day, the service was exceptional: warm and friendly, and very attentive. Overall a highly recommended option if you’re in Palermo.

Arrived from NYC and this place was recommended by one of tour guides. A reservation is highly recommended. They have an extensive local wine list. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the ravioli , pasta with sausage, and the pork with potatoes. The desert was excellent. It was the best food we had in Palermo.

lovely restaurant we ate lunch in to celebrate my birthday, we was seated outside which we did pre book, would recommend doing this as as we sat down it started to get more busy and was queing down the street, we both had 2 different types of pasta, they was both yummy! the atmosphere was great, staff was good but could’ve been more attentive, overall a good lunch/dinner spot.

Gagini is a stylish restaurant located in the former studio of 16th-century sculptor Antonello Gagini in Palermo. The space offers a cozy and dramatic setting with ancient stone walls, ceramic Teste di Moro, and wrought iron candlesticks. The tasting menu features modern interpretations of classic Sicilian recipes by chef Mauricio Zillo, drawing on his Italian-Brazilian background.

We had the 11-course menu and loved the atmosphere, music, and friendly staff. The menu was interesting, but I expected more. For a potential Michelin star restaurant, the flavors didn’t quite meet my expectations.

We sat at the counter close to the kitchen. We had the chance to watch the chef work, very focused and smiling all the time! Amazing service by Pietro and Ariana. The Quadrotti was one of the best things I ever ate in my life! Thank you Gagini team for the amazing experience!

The building is from the 16th century, wiith ancient stone walls that take you back in time. The modern furniture and artwork is lovely. Giuseppe (manager), the sommelier and our server made our evening wonderful from arrival to departure. The service and the food were excellent. We requested a wine pairing for our a la carte meals and it was an excellent experience. We recommend and would return again without question!

Amazing restaurant in Palermo, hard to find gem in the city. The tasting menu at €110, was a bargain, serious creation in the dishes. The harmony of taste was unreal, the tasting menu was six courses, and definitely it was worth the money and a portions and flavors were wonderful. We had the one star Michelin dinner in Taormina’s Principe Cerami the night before, this place is so much better. Highly recommended.

Located in the heart of Palermo, Da Bacco is a restaurant that embodies the spirit of Sicilian cuisine and hospitality. The name pays tribute to the Roman god of wine and revelry, setting the stage for an experience filled with warmth and conviviality. The menu showcases a diverse range of dishes inspired by Sicily's culinary traditions, offering a tempting array of options.
Quite hidden gem, I’ve been in Italy many times and a big fan of Italian food. First time in Palermo, we found this cute small place, close to the Via Maqueda, but away from the crowd part. Service was amazing, food delicious and good prices. Highly recommended. 5/5

TOURIST TRAP 🥲 Came here because I was craving tiramisu. Saw a tomato soup with mussels on the menu and thought it would be a nice dinner. What I got was a plate of mussels in a white sauce - with a knife, no spoon or fork. Tasted it - not good, not a soup at all. ☹️Checked the menu on Google - it clearly said tomatoes. Turns out I accidentally ordered the version without tomatoes, though the waitress never asked which one I wanted. Disappointed, I sent the dish back and ordered tiramisu. They still charged me for the soup because I had “eaten it.” Tiramisu was okay, but nothing special. In the end - one tiramisu for €20. Disappointing, but lesson learned.

It’s run by very lovely people and they have been very attentive and did their best to make us feel at ease. What lets them down is the food, which unfortunately is average at best. We had some sfincione and alici al beccafico to start, which were okay but definitely weren’t packing as much flavour as we have experienced in other places. We then had some tuna and green coral pasta; again pretty average and the green coral pasta lacked that oomph I would have expected in Sicily. The tuna was okay, but was previously frozen which is okay for preparing it to be eaten raw, but that wasn’t our case. The side dishes were also disappointing, some cold roast potatoes and salad leaves and tomatoes! We are in Italy, surely we can do better! Seriously wished it was better, but definitely not living up to what I expected.

Wonderful experience at our last day in Sicily! We were the first guests and tried the local meat and salmon pasta. Along with the red wine it was super good. Atillio the waiter was fantastic. Even the owner came out to explain us more about Sicilian pistachio. Grazie 🙏

Found this gem while on vacation to Sicily in one of those beautiful narrow side streets. Everything about this restaurant was exceptional! The quality and taste of the food was out of this world! The owner personally took care of us which made me and my woman feel very special! I ordered the Sea Urchin with Fresh Pasta and my special lady ordered the Mixed Seafood with Fresh Pasta + Dessert...YUMM!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling to this part of Sicily! A+++

Osteria Pane e Alivi is a popular dining spot in Sicily, offering a delightful culinary experience. The staff may seem a bit reserved at first, but they make up for it with prompt and friendly service. The pasta dishes, especially the Norma, are highly recommended, and the seafood courses are equally impressive. The wine selection is also noteworthy. While the covered terrace lacks some of the indoor charm, the lively atmosphere and delicious Sicilian food make it a must-visit.
Absolutely must-visit if you want to try Sicilian seafood in a local restaurant, a bit hidden from touristic roots. We ordered trio of tartar and a catch of the day for dinner. Everything was fresh and tasty. It seems that locals like to go there, so you can trust the quality) Service was also great. Even though stuff don’t speak much English, trust me you’d understand everything)

Incredible Lunch – True Sicilian Flavors We had a fantastic lunch at Osteria Pane e Alivi, authentic spot tucked away in a peaceful piazza in Palermo. The food was fresh, flavorful, and full of Sicilian character. We tried several dishes, each more delicious than the last. The fresh pasta with shrimp and pistachio pesto was a definite highlight—creamy, aromatic, and a must-try. The pasta with tomato sauce, fried eggplants, and salty ricotta was rich and comforting. The ravioli filled with sausage and potatoes, topped with cacio cheese cream and crispy guanciale, was packed with flavor and absolutely comforting and satisfying. We also shared the sliced beef steak with rocket, cherry tomatoes, Grana Padano flakes, and balsamic vinegar—tender, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. Service was kind and relaxed, making for a perfect midday meal. If you’re in Palermo and looking for a place to enjoy a high-quality, local lunch, this is it. Don’t miss the pistachio pesto!

Caffetteria del Corso is a charming café that offers an authentic Sicilian experience. The friendly owner, Pino, serves up delicious homemade granita and delectable pastries, making guests feel like dear friends. This cozy spot is known for its traditional delicacies such as cannoli, cassata, and pistachio tarts. Additionally, the café specializes in serving only one thing: espresso made by the legendary Baldo using a classic espresso machine with pressure levers.
By far the best pistachio cream i have ever had accompanied by a soft delicious brioches. If you are around you got to visit this place!

Without exaggerating, this is the best pistachio granita I ever had!! It did not taste artificial at all, but actually had tiny pieces of pistachio in there and was so wholesome in flavor! This made my day!

Great coffee and granita place in the city center. We had coffee granita and iced coffee, both really good - not too sweet, not too watery, the flavor was just right and refreshing. It is also nice to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of the streets of Palermo. The service was a bit slow, but there were a lot of people, so it is understandable. Possible to pay by card 💳 Recommended :)

I recently visited Caffetteria del Corso in Palermo and was blown away by the delicious treats they had to offer. The granite and brioche were particularly standout items - the perfect combination of sweet and refreshing. What impressed me most was the fast service - despite the cafe being quite busy, the staff worked quickly and efficiently to get everyone their orders in a timely manner. The location is also fantastic, right in the heart of Palermo and easy to find. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this is the perfect spot to grab a quick and satisfying snack. And if you're in the mood for something a little heartier, be sure to try the warm pastries - they were absolutely delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend Caffetteria del Corso to anyone looking for tasty treats and fast service in a convenient location. It's definitely worth a visit!

A'Cuncuma Restaurant is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable culinary adventure. Since its inception in 2012, it has been delighting diners with the creative flair of Chef Gianfilippo Gatto and sommelier Valentina Crescimanni. The restaurant beautifully marries traditional Sicilian cuisine with innovative twists, offering both à la carte and tasting menus that showcase unique flavors. Each dish is meticulously crafted, not only tantalizing the taste buds but also presented as a visual feast.
The best dining experience in Palermo! Everything was simply fantastic! Food was to die for and beautifully presented, wine was skillfully paired by the sommelier herself with the dishes! And the last but not least is the way you're made feel when you're there. The service was amazing and we felt so welcome and looked after. This is a really fantastic restaurant and the staff are wonderful. We had the tasting menu and the 3 glasses of wine to pair. The food was some of the best we ate in Italy and the experience was fab. It is the right mix of formal dining and relaxed atmosphere. The food and service were excellent. I would return to Palermo just to go to this restaurant! If you consider doing the 8 course tasting menu book no later than 8.30 it takes a while!
Christine B — Google review
The food was wow, like the pasta with seafood really tasted of the sea, prawns sweet and clams salty, I almost burned my tongue cause I eat too fast. Atmosphere kind of elegant but also warm, lights soft, music low, you feel calm, not like those noisy places where you can’t hear yourself. The waiter had this blue shirt, bit wrinkled, but he smiled a lot and told us about a white wine, honestly I don’t even remember the name but it fit so good with the food. Prices, yeah not cheap, but with the way they serve and the flavors I didn’t mind. I saw desserts passing by, big plates, colorful, next time maybe I just order one even if I’m already full.

A great culinary experience. I found this restaurant on the Michelin’s guide and I am surprised that it doesn’t have a star yet. The quality of the ingredients, the presentation of the food and the service are all top notch. The wine was also very well paired. It is definitely the best restaurant I had the pleasure of eating at in Sicily by far. The only down note, it is that the quality of the food is not matched by the ambience, that while being clean, pretty and tidy, it looks like a regular small restaurant.
Marco G — Google review

Big thanks to Valentina (all the other very sweet ladies too, which i dont know the names) and offcourse il GRANDE Chef Gianfilippo. We've eaten here twice while on holiday in Palermo. The food and service is excellent. The pizzas are fresh and taste very good, we would highly recommend. Their pastas are also really good as well we had spaghetti carbonara the second night and a starter of the buffalo bomba. They have waiters who speak English and their menu is online and very extensive and available in English. They have tables both inside and outside

This became a favorite place during our stay in Palermo. Pizza selection, quality, and taste was the best we found. Dessert is homemade and delicious. They also have their own bottled beers A&T which are awesome. Highly recommended!

Pizzas were tasty. Personnel courteous enough, but service was kind of slow due to the lack of hard cooy menus, but via QR codes and weak mobile network signal...so we could not see the menu... They helped us to connect us to their WiFi network and then we were able to browse the menu and order.
Miroslav J — Google review
Our first time visiting here, we were happy and excited. Had we finally, finally, found a pizzaria that is excellent on every single metric? Because, they clearly know what they are doing! We ordered the Emilian and the Explosion of Flavour - and while they were not exactly what we were looking for, we could see the 'art' or 'science' behind them. The Explosion of Flavour had, unlike so many other Sicilian dishes, flavour, and the Emilian was just pure genius. The lemon/citrus dough was >fantastic<, even a bite with only dough and nothing else was still nice because it reminded you of lemon cake. The addition of the teriyaki-esque sauce and the green pesto, together with the nice amount of ham, created such a unique flavour, wow. Absolutely brilliant. We were looking for a more red/tomato-y flavour though, perhaps spicy, definitely very flavourful, but we were optimistic. So we came back a second time, and ordered the Diavoli and the Del Maso. And... We really really wanted to like the pizzas, but we were slightly disappointed. They just were not so flavourful as we had hoped for, the Diavoli was not spicy at all, and the Del Maso tasted mostly like cheese and ham (speck, but it wasn't very flavourful at all, if we wouldn't know it from the menu we'd call it ham), which was disappointingly normal and bland-ish. The olives (on Diavoli) and mushrooms (on Del Maso) felt as if they were unfrozen (because e.g. mushrooms should be smoother, not so squishy, if they are not frozen, and they also didn't give that much flavour). The dough, though, was again perfect, and I do want to give compliments for that, every type of dough was extremely well made. All in all, we still want to come back here to give it a third try, because the Emilian was just so perfect, and the Explosion of Flavour proves that they can make flavourful pizzas - but surely a Diavoli would also be one of the most flavourful pizzas, right? But it wasn't... Even though this disappointed us, we know the pizzeria is objectively good, so we do want to give it another chance.
Roy O — Google review
Unfortunately the pizza was mid.😔I got a margarita the cheese and sauce tasted funky but the dough was fire, perhaps another flavor would be better?! The pistachio seafood pasta tho slapped 10/10.
Ahmed E — Google review
A really lovely little pizzeria - tucked away in a small side street, which actually adds to its charm. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The starter was great, the pizza was perfectly sized and delicious, and the dessert was excellent as well. The only small downside was the wine list, which could be a bit more extensive - but that's just a personal preference. All in all, a great experience! If you ever find yourself in Palermo again, this is definitely a spot you shouldn't miss.

A truly enjoyable dining experience from Every perspective! Besides the menu selections there were a number of additional specials so we tasted several appetizers that were all scrumptious. We chose two pastas from the menu - a bucatini with sardines and spaghetti with cuttlefish and bottarga that were both delicious. We finished with the best cannoli either of us has ever had, a very generous serving to share. The wine selections are extensive and we asked for advice on a Sicilian wine to accompany our meal, and were thrilled with their recommendation. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and you need to book ahead, because it’s a popular establishment.

Great choice of fresh fish dishes well prepared and served in front of the table. Seafood focus overall. Very friendly, attentive service.Bread is not good, considering we are in Italy, grissini in supermarket plastic packaging is not acceptable in a restaurant with so much history and potential, which positions itself as a place for authentic Sicilian cuisine.

Isn't it nice to find true fine dining in Palermo! Lo Scudiero offers exquisite service in a quietly elegant venue, freshest offerings from sea and terroir, the excellently different menu preparations one hopes for, a well-chosen cellar, and fine sweet finishes for your dinner. We stumbled on Lo Scudiero in what was promising to be a fruitless online search for a decent meal within walking distance of our hotel . . .and were so charmed by our first encounter that we returned on our second Palermo night without a second thought. Try the delicious filets of pork, any of the evening's still-dripping catch from the adjacent Tyrrhenian Sea, al dente pasta innovations, perhaps a fine slice of cassata siciliana for dessert? While I stubbornly continue to grant 5 stars to only five restaurants on Earth, you will not regret for an instant spending an evening in the lovely 4+++ star Lo Scudiero.
Dave R — Google review
Horrible place! They show you to chose a “fresh” fish, but then serve you something which was frozen and deep fried definitely a long ago, rice was dry as a clay, calamari were non chewable and stuffed with something remotely reminding fish, taste was sour and buried in a lot of sauce. Wine they recommended was really sour as well. For price of 49 euro for appetizers and main course for one person it’s just a scam

Seven Restaurant Palermo, located on the rooftop of Hotel Ambasciatori, offers a stylish space with a terrace that provides stunning panoramic views across Palermo's terracotta rooftops and the mountains west of the city. The restaurant serves regional meat, fish, and pasta dishes, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. A must-visit rooftop gem in Palermo! This rooftop offers one of the most breathtaking views over Palermo – truly the most stunning in the city. In the evening, the atmosphere becomes chic and elegant, making it the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a stylish night out. The dishes are inventive, beautifully presented, and delicious. In the morning, the vibe shifts to something more relaxed and family-friendly, ideal for a sunny brunch. The brunch menu is full of local, quality products, thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. Whether it’s sweet or savory, every bite feels like a taste of Sicily. The staff is very attentive and kind – they truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were warmly welcomed at Seven Restaurant and seated on the spectacular rooftop terrace overlooking Palermo’s skyline, a breathtaking setting. Service was professional, staff attentive and caring. We started with the picanha, tender and flavorful, while the octopus, though well presented, was a bit chewy. The shared gnocchi was superb, creamy, rich, and perfectly cooked. For mains, I had the steak and oyster risotto, both solid choices, with the risotto showing great texture and elegance. Wine selection was decent, with good options by the glass. Overall, a pleasant evening, though the bill was high for Palermo. Worth it for the view and ambiance, but expect a splurge. Rating: 4.3 / 5.

Booked the 19:00 slot to get the sunset. Turned out this was a drinks only slot but as I said we booked 6 months ago and didn’t realise they were kind enough to also squeeze us in for dinner which starts at 19:45. The view is breathtaking the food is also very nice and a great spot for a romantic dinner.

The view from this rooftop bar is just amazing! The service is amazing. The drinks and meals were so flavorful. I’d recommend dessert elsewhere. Everything is pricey for Palermo. Think NYC or London prices just in Sicily. But we didn’t regret it one bit. The atmosphere/view is a 8 out of 5. Our group of 8 had wine along with a variety of cocktails. I had the best gnocchi I’ve ever eaten (it had a little kick). Multiple enjoyed the Seabass. Only a dozen or so food options, but everything they made was tops.

The service was really good—staff were kind and even accommodated me when my husband couldn’t make our 7 pm reservation, which I appreciated. The drinks were also great, and the pork appetizer had nice flavor (though a little too fatty for my taste). The views from the upper level are definitely pretty. My main disappointment was that I expected a dinner experience, but it turned out to be aperitivo with a time limit, which wasn’t what I was looking for. Overall, great service and atmosphere, but just not the dining experience I had in mind.

This pizzeria is popular for its pizza a la norma. The restaurant is small and can get very crowded, so it's best to arrive early if you want to be able to have a seat. They also have pasta dishes which are quite popular.
What makes a restaurant great is good food + good service + good price + easy to reach location. And to achieve this, it takes an honest owner with great Chef and quality food ingredients, all packed up by passionate teamwork. All of that will be found combined in this restaurant. I must appreciate that we were served with a surprisingly tasty Sicilian food at its best taste and authentic flavor. Positively, the restaurant is located nearby the Train Station of Palermo/Sicily, so this will make your future visits more reachable and guaranteed to repeat. Earlier, my brothers tried it many times and this restaurant kept surprising them with the same amazing food, consistently in every visit. Lately, when I tried it back in October 2023, it proofed them right and now I added it to my list of future visits to Sicily. I want to mark special thanks to the owner for his welcoming and directly taking care of our additional orders. Additional thanks go in favor of the dedicated team, who gave us that required attention to the customers, which certain reputable restaurants tend to forget, sometimes. Keep up the good work.

Just wow, we have been in Italy for a week now and this is by far the best meal we’ve had. Fried calamari, bolognese spaghetti and salami pizza were sooo tasty. Very good value for your money. I would eat here every single night! I do recommend

10/10. We were recommended this local place after our boat trip by our skipper. It did not disappoint. Everything was extremely fresh, delicious and the service came with a cheeky smile. Value for money was superb and turned out to be our favourite meal during our trip. Would go back.

Very nice trattoria ! Food was absolutely delicious ! Price wise I would say it’s affordable :) went back on two occasions ! Pizza was very nice as well- rich with toppings - fresh taste

I just had to give this restaurant a review. We ordered the squid calamari, Bruschetta and the cooked ham pizza ! The food left us speechless. It was fresh, full of flavour and aromatic. This is a precious restaurant with chefs and workers who really hold pride in their food. Next time I visit, I’ll definitely visit here again. ✅

the pizza was really good, dough thin but soft inside, i think maybe a bit burned on the edge but i liked it like that. mozzarella fresh, tomato juicy, simple but nice. my friend had seafood pasta, it smell strong when it arrive, like sea, and the sauce was tasty. the place was noisy, people talking loud, laughing, i could barely hear sometimes but it felt real italian vibe. service not the fastest, i waited more than i expected but the waiter was smiling all the time, he even explain some things from the menu, i remember his shirt was blue and looked a bit tight on him. prices not cheap but not expensive too, i think fair for what you get. i keep saying the same but really the pizza crust from oven was special, i would like to try another one next time.
Cristian E — Google review
Disappointing. Lower than average in some things. I went here because the place was close to where I was staying and had great reviews. Maybe it was the fact that by the time that I went I had already been in Palermo for more than a week and had eaten in great places, so maybe the bar was too high, but I didn’t find the experience as very enjoyable. We entered the place and ask if there was a table for 2, the asked us if we had a reservation but we didn’t. Then they made a little show in which they made us think that they were making us a huge favor by giving us a table and then put us in a room upstairs which had around 20 tables and only one was taken. Not sure what was the need for that show. None of the other tables got occupied while we were there. The waiter who took our order was a bit too pushy to get it. Maybe he was trying to be helpful but I didn’t like that he was pushing us to get the order when we told him that we needed one more minute to think. The food was very average, the pasta that my girlfriend had was ok, but nothing outstanding. The caprese salad was very disappointing in both presentation and flavor. The pizza looked like it could be good, but the dough taste like nothing. Probably not enough fermentation. Very sad after trying some other amazing pizzas in Palermo for the same price or less.
Daniel S — Google review
A nice gentleman sat us down right as we came and immediately gave us the menu. He was really pleasant. We ordered two pizzas which were ready in minutes. Both were delicious. Prices were surprisingly low, 7-11€ for a pizza. Close to the station, just a few metres - a huge plus, if you plan on going somewhere.

Bacio Nero is a great espresso bar in the central train station area. It's open almost 24/7, has great pastries and coffee, and is very affordable. The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded in the morning.
super spot for food and coffee, lots of sandwiches, cannoli , sweet or sour options. seating abailable inside and outside as well. Americano for 2,20€, arancini for 1€. Spicy arancini was the best I tried, also the best kinder bueno cannoli! Staff was nice and spoke english.

A lovely place for breakfast in Palermo. It is very afordable and offers a variet of different pastries and coffee. I loved the pistacho muffin! That was absolutely amazing. I also tried pistachio canoli and tarte (yes, a lot of pistachio) and the tarte with the canolo were a bit too sweet for my liking. The pistachio was mixed mostly with white chocolate and the utter sweetness made it a bit hard to finish.
Žeňa L — Google review
The place is really close to the train station, looks cute and all of the food/drinks are delicious. Prices are very affordable. The lady who served us was a bit rude for no reason. It was the end of her shift I guess.

Just around the corner from the train station. We stopped here for breakfast and got two cappuccinos and two pain au chocolats for €5! Such good value ! Service was quick and perfect for a pit stop.

Very good cafeteria with a variety of pizza, prepared sandwiches and pastries. Very good coffee made with fresh ground beans, not pods. Always busy, so be prepared to take away or wait for a seat. The service is good, but don't expect pampering or fawning. I think it's classic Sicilian business protocol!

Amazing place! Amazing croissants, cappuccino and arancine. And the prices are very low. I totally recommend.
Catalina P — Google review
Clearly underrated place, with great pastries, inexpensive coffee and gelato, and open almost 24/7. the train station area sucks, by or night (especially at night) so if you live nearby or arrive/leave from the train station, you will be delighted to find Bacio Nero and their friendly staff. They are all about efficiency but remain kind and friendly. We went there several times, at night or by day, and were always sad to leave, as we knew this was the best deal around, and you can always find places to sit, inside or outside. in the morning, it is pretty crowded but if you stick to outside seating, you will be fine. Deserves more than the 3.8 stars I saw earlier

Sciampagna is a renowned pastry shop with a rich history, known for its delectable sweets and cakes. The main location in Marineo has been complemented by a boutique in via Wagner since 2018. The elegant and contemporary presentation of the numerous offerings reflects the expertise gained from mentorship under Iginio Massari. Customers can savor an excellent cappuccino while choosing from an array of meticulously displayed treats.
10 out of 10. I can't recommend this pastry store enough. The staff always greets you with a warm smile and makes you feel right at home. They’re super friendly and the pastries... oh my goodness! How can anyone resist them? Every bite is pure perfection—fresh, delicious, and always beautifully made. It's the kind of place you can't wait to return to. Truly, a must-visit for any pastry lover!

Kay K — Google review
We've been to Sciampagna for more than 5 times, their macarons are divine (see photo below). I really think that they are great masters of pastry art. The place is absolutely worth visiting. As for their products, we can really not complain. However, the place is unreliable: in the last 6 months we found it closed twice (once we found out that they were on holidays, which they definitely deserved, but the other day-off was without any justification). The staff is nice, a bit reserved, but this kind of Western style is still ok. Their products are definitely expensive, but they guarantee a nice, clean space. I find the shop often empty, glass shelves are echoing without any displayed product, which is a pity and we don't really like the dine-in space upstairs. Nonetheless, if you like sophisticated well-designed and very French-styled cafés, Sciampagna will do for you.

NonnAngé Bakery & Coffee, located on a quiet street off Via Maqueda in Palermo, is renowned for serving the best cheesecake in the city. The bakery offers a variety of coffee blends from Ethiopia, Brazil, and Colombia along with generous slices of homemade cake and oversized cappuccinos. It's also a popular brunch spot offering dishes like eggs benedict, pancakes, bagels, and slow-pressed juice.
Had a very delicious breakfast here twice on our holiday. The staff were very friendly and the cafe is very sweet and well maintained. Would highly recommend the summer heaven French toast and the sunshine juice. Seems to be the only place in Palermo I could find that did an iced latte too which I was delighted about.

We ended up here on our last day in Palermo. Delicious breakfast and coffee. Great service, very friendly ladies, nice atmosphere, a place on a quiet bazaar street, definitely worth getting off the main street and places where the service is often rude. Delicious ending to a visit to Palermo.

One of the few places that actually offer brunch in the area… Although the presentation of food is amazing, the scrambled egg was way too buttery and can be a lot to digest… The ginger juice did not taste very gingery… the sparkling water was not sparkly

Christina P — Google review
Overall a little bit a disappointing dining experience. The food you get versus the cost, doesn’t add up. My husband went for the avocado toast and it had the slimmest cover of avocado on the bread. I ordered the Basket Egg - see picture - and it was ok but nothing special. The coffee was too watery and we both did not finish our coffees despite really looking forward to a coffee. The service for us was friendly and the restaurant is situated off the main hustle and bustle, so it is a bit more peaceful.

Delicious breakfast if you need a break from the typical italian pastry breakfast. Everything tasted very good except for the hashbrowns that tasted a bit frozen and reheated. The premises was very hot if you sit inside and the staff were kind of uncommited. They were watching their phones and not really paying attention to the customers. One of the other guests asked to order twice, both times he was ignored while it was quite obvious that the staff had time since they were on their phones and chitchatting. It’s a shame since it’s a very nice place to eat breakfast/brunch

Tondo is a popular pizza place in Palermo that attracts both locals and tourists. It offers delicious and flavorful pizzas made with natural ingredients, providing an excellent dining experience. The service is commendable, as the staff prepares and serves the food with great care. The restaurant is known for serving some of the best pizzas in town, with a perfect dough that makes them taste just like homemade.
Arrived around 1pm! It wasn't crowded at all, so I didn't have any problems as others said in their reviews. We chose a Marinara D. and two beers. Simple traditional tastes, the recipe of perfection. The best pizza in town by far! One of the best I've ever had
Ioannis T — Google review
We had the aubergine and swordfish pasta, pizzas, the beef and pork ragu. It was delicious, great portions, well seasoned. We also had a selection of deserts. I have only praises to sing of the food. The staff are all very friendly, with the exception of one older gentleman who is fairly abrupt, but still efficient. However it did not diminish the positive experience or the incredible food. Unfortunately we forgot our takeaway pizza on the table and it was thrown away within the half hour it took us to remember it, much to our dismay at our forgetfulness as it was a truly delicious pizza and we will definitely not forget our take out next time (we're in honeymoom mode so we are trying to forgive ourselves because honestly we were looking forward to having the pizza in our hotel room later and we're still beating ourselves up for our idiocy). The food was so impressive we will be going back every day of our stay to try everything of interest on the menu. I would definitely recommend eating here. We did have to wait a bit for our bill and I needed to leave so I did have to ask for it a few times. However the food arrived at the table promptly. Overall a positive experience and this place truly deserves 5 of 5 stars despite any minor issues faced. Definitely the best pizza I've had on the island.

We read some reviews about this place beforehand, so we knew not to expect much from service but to look forward to really good pizzas. We came here ~5:30 and they said they open at 6pm. We came back ~6pm, they then said that pizzas will have to wait ~20-30 mins. Until 7pm nobody offered us any starters, drinks or took our order. We were fine with waiting, we’re on holiday but were upset that that the waiting time was a full hour. The pizzas were great though. I would recommend this place but make sure you don’t arrive before 7pm 😂 it seems it was the first day for our waiter, there was a language barrier and the service was truly slow

During my recent five-day adventure in Palermo, I had the pleasure of dining at Pizzeria e Polleria Di Giovanni not once, but twice! The experience was nothing short of delightful. Similar experiences. Unfortunately we ended up there because of the owner's cousin who owns are bar in front and sends people there. We should have known better. The pizza was really tasty to be fair, but well. The prices are too high in general and the fish was served cold. Also then when it came to paying we forst got the wrong bill, then she calculated our bill wrong and then she tried to make us pay the 42,50€ in cash. We insisted on paying with card and it was suddenly possible. Avoid if possible!

A restaurant serving very nice tasting food and the wines good. The service was a trifle chaotic with long waits inbetween dishes.
