CiCala is a popular wine and cocktail bar in Palermo, known for its cozy atmosphere and natural wines from Sicily. It's a favorite spot for locals to enjoy artisanal pizzas and fresh pastas. Nearby, Osteria Mangia e Bevi offers a delightful shabby chic vibe and serves unique dishes like Pasta alla Norma with spaghetti, tomato sauce, eggplants, and cheese fried in the pan.
My wife and I thought the food was so good, we had to come back again after our first dinner. The team at CiCala is so nice. They were super helpful developing an order for us based on our interests. Everything was super fresh with great flavor. The second night we came, they served us a blue lobster their fisherman had caught that day which was rare occurrence. They served it with a pasta and light sauce. Truly fantastic. Come to Palermo and eat at CiCala.

Amazing place! The best caponata we had in Palermo. We also had slow-cooked beef ragu Pasta and spaghetti with sardines and fennel and a side salad of fennel, orange and herring and they made a special pasta order for our 2 year old. All food was exceptional and sophisticated. Service was amazing and they were all friendly and on-the-point. Highly recommend and will come back again.
Baher H — Google review
Absolutely amazing restaurant! This place was recommended by our tour guide Luca and it exceeded expectations. The food was the best we had in Palermo. The guys who served us were brilliant. Really friendly and not shy about recommendations - which were really appreciated and turned out to be the best choices - especially the wine! The menu is simple which I find perfect. The food was of a high quality and cooked perfectly. We had the black pork shank which was huge and so so so good and the Ragu which was some of the best cooked pasta I have ever had anywhere. The pictures do no do it justice as we just wanted to get stuck into the food!! When we come back to Palermo we are booking back here for definite!! Kim and Ryan

Good wine, lovely little restaurant in a quite neighbourhood We love the natural wine from Etna recommended by waiter, the squid ink pasta is also very good, rich and al dente. Traditional Caponata is another good pick. The raw oysters that day were not very good, not fresh and tiny
Candy Y — Google review
CiCala has a modern feel and spin/presentation on traditional Sicilian flavors and dishes. One of the best natural and hard to find wine selections around Palermo. Don’t miss the Croquettes and Buciate! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff in a cool space just a bit off the beaten path Great music selections taboot!

Awesome spot right by the water with great food and wine. The team is very knowledgeable and provided us with great wine pairings for our meal.
Ethan W — Google review
The octopus had started to go bad; the whole dish was gritty, watery, and too fishy just like it had gone off. The eggplant was fine, some of it had a proper buttery texture, other parts were dry and rubbery however.

Cocktail bar
Bisso Bistrot is a charming restaurant and art space located in the former famous bookshop, Liberia Dante, right behind the Quattro Canti in Palermo. The restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere with a Sicilian menu that includes pasta with cauliflower and swordfish rolls stuffed with raisins and anchovies. Despite its central location, Bisso Bistrot maintains an authentic ambiance and fair prices. The establishment also features creative cocktails and attentive staff.
Great food, reasonable price. I came around 16:30 and the staff told me the restaurant is closed but they can still provide certain dishes. I ordered a rice with chicken, an eggplant appetizer and a beer. The food is tasty and the total cost is 22 euro.
Huixin Z — Google review
The aperol spritz’s were great, and pasta was delicious and well priced - especially the pasta with tuna ragout which was the dish of the day. The servers were all friendly. We went for dinner relatively earlier so it was a bit quieter than other restaurants on the street.
Evelyn W — Google review
Staff is very friendly, helpful and speak good English. Food is overall really delicious. We especially recommend Panelle, Caponata di Melanzane and and pasta dish. Millefogue unfortunately wasn’t very good. We paid for 3 people 61eur.
Hilal B — Google review
Very nice, quiet bistro on the otherwise very crowded Via Maqueda, much appreciated by locals. Delicious espresso, very nice service. When I'm in Palermo again, I'll definitely be back!
Martin W — Google review
Had an amazing dining experience at Bisso Bistrot! The vibe is awesome, with a cozy yet modern feel. It's in a perfect location too. The food, though, is the real star of the show. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor, but I have to highlight the basmati rice with fried chicken. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, making it the ideal accompaniment to the rest of the amazing menu. The quality of the food is well worth the price (it is very affordable too). Highly recommend!
Yana F — Google review
Lovely place with good Sicilian food. The service is really good and fast. The menu offers a great variety of food so if you are a vegetarian or a meat eater you will find what you want. Quantities are good and meals tasty. If you're nearby give it a try
Maxime G — Google review
The waiting staff are the rudest I’ve ever encountered! Shouting at customers and generally rude. I almost felt sorry for them. Also the cocktail I was served was incorrectly made. I even checked on the Internet to see if the Palermo recipe was different. But no! They just held back on the more expensive ingredients. A very unpleasant experience.
Rosalind L — Google review
Cute restaurant and very affordable prices. However, I had high hopes for this restaurant, but was a bit disappointed.. The service was ok, but way too fast. I ordered and not even 2 minutes after I got my food. Which made me wonder if the wanted me out of the restaurant super fast? You finish the starter and not even 2 minutes after you have your plate. It might be to get more tables during the night, but it makes the overall experience less enjoyable. Feels like were in the US, not Italy. The food was good, but the pasta was definitely too salty for me. Haven’t tried the desserts, but they looked good!

Badalamenti Cucina e Bottega is a great place for a delicious dinner. The staff are friendly and helpful, and their wine recommendations are spot-on. Synonyms might include fine dining restaurant, high-end restaurant, gourmet restaurant, and exquisite restaurant.
Tucked just a short stroll from the beach, this hidden gem delivered some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. Every bite was packed with flavor and clearly crafted with care. The laid-back coastal vibe only adds to the charm, making it a must-visit after a day in the sun. Absolutely worth the walk and you’ll be dreaming about the meal long after the tide rolls out.

Amazing food and service! These two brothers run a beautiful restaurant. The food was beyond delicious - ability to pick your bottle of wine as well - and they went above and beyond and drove us to the beach since we are obviously tourists! Great experience!
John H — Google review
Our group of 10 chose Badalamenti for our last dinner in Sicily, and what a great decision! We were immediately greeted by one of the owners who showed us to our table, helped us pick out wine and translate the menu. All of our dishes were outstanding - the stuffed tomato, the fresh tuna, the milk croquettes, the pork fillet, the pork ragu tortelloni, the baked fresh fish, and on and on. We even ordered dessert for the first time on our 15 day trip, and that did not disappoint either. If you are in the Mondello area, you must put this restaurant on your list.
Bill D — Google review
The food here was PHENOMENAL!!!! One of the best meals of my life. The service was amazing and the food was incredibly fresh. A bit further from where we were staying but definitely worth the walk!!
Gabriella B — Google review
A wonderful experience ! The owners are absolutely adorable, they are always ready to do the extra mile and have great advice about things to do and places to go. The food is extraordinary, you have to try the gambero rosso carpaccio and their classic cacio e pepe with shrimp tartare…. If you love the wine they recommended for you, you can buy a bottle to go as they also sell wines. Feel free to let them guide you and choose for you, you’re in good hands !
Aft3rshave — Google review
We had booked our table for two on the website, which was very convenient, and were seated immediately as we came to the restaurant. We chose to sit outside and it was nice. Our water, wine, bread and starter were served quickly. But we had to wait very long for the main course, in comparison to other tables. (The table next to ours were served the wrong main course, which may explain why they got their food much quicker) Our main courses, Spaghetti with clams and Ravioli filled with eggplant, were ok, not more than that. We also had to ask twice for new cutlery. Not the best dinner experience we've had in Italy.

I like the place its has a chic modern atmosphere! Simple and authentic The food was very delicious the service is great! I would definitely recommend it
Nawal M — Google review
Awesome place we popped in on a Wednesday early for their lunch. No reservation and were seated. Restaurant is beautiful as you’re surrounded by their extensive wine offerings and the menu is simple but delicious. We shared their tartare, cacio e pepe, and pork tenderloin. The Cacio e Pepe and tenderloin were exceptional. The wine options are extensive and we chatted with the owner and selected a delicious white for lunch and two excellent bottles to take with us. The owner is a gent and we had some great conversation with him and he was kind enough to give us a bottle of local honey which is delicious. Next time we are in Mondello we will be back as this is comfortably the best restaurant in the area.

Nestled in a charming alleyway just behind the stunning Norman Cathedral, Ristorante La Galleria is a delightful find for anyone exploring the historic streets of Palermo. This rustic trattoria offers an authentic taste of Sicilian cuisine, featuring delectable seafood pasta and hearty meat dishes that are sure to satisfy any palate.
I'm not sure what the slightly odd recent reviews are about, ignore them! I suspect these people prefer the more generic food of a fancy hotel to the traditional, delicious food, clearly cooked with love and attention, that we received at La Galleria. Hearty portions, great quality cooking and the friendliest of service is what you'll get at this restaurant. There isn't a dish we had that I wouldn't recommend to be honest. The fried cheese was tangy and salty and I wish I could eat some now. The sardine pasta was out of this world and don't get me started on the wine-list....so many local, well-priced bottles to choose from. My wine-loving husband was in heaven. The lady that served us was so warm and helpful. I'm afraid we didn't catch her name. In fact, we liked it so much, we visited again the next day and did it all over again. This is a must-visit restaurant when you're in Palermo. Until next time....
Kerry M — Google review
Fantastic food, incredible atmosphere. Steps away from a tourist hub without the tourist trap feel. My wife and I went back two nights in a row just for the authentic trattoria feel and great food. Carlos, Farad, and staff took great care of us! Highly recommend the Norma pasta!
Jonathan C — Google review
Lovely atmosphere, wonderfully kind staff, and absolutely delicious food! This became our favourite restaurant in Palermo. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a second time during our five-day stay. I highly recommend booking a table in advance, as it’s usually quite busy, especially at dinner.
Sunny N — Google review
Best food I had in Palermo and among the best in Sicily. The wait was a little long despite reservations but that’s because the place is so good. They do have a lot of seating if outdoor space is open, and ambience is excellent. Inside was really cool and rustic and outside in an amazing part of town with a lot of old world charm. All the locals said this was the best food in the city, and they were correct! Our waiter Farad was amazing and worked really hard, was awesome with recommendations and very friendly. This restaurant is definite go to!!!
Joseph B — Google review
A great spot, even if it’s a bit touristy - excellent location, with a charming stone courtyard in traditional Sicilian style and cool air-conditioned seating inside. The staff speaks English, and the food was excellent, especially the seafood pasta. We were very happy with our visit! I’d recommend coming right at opening time or booking in advance to get a table.
Mariia G — Google review
Went for lunch without a booking and La Galleria was busy but we grabbed a seat at the bar and had a glass of wine while we waited for a table for about 20 minutes. Staff were friendly and despite being busy with other patrons were happy to recommend some wines to try and kept us updated about our table availability. The food was very good (we had fish and seafood soup), served promptly. For a busy restaurant on a busy day, the service was exceptional: warm and friendly, and very attentive. Overall a highly recommended option if you’re in Palermo.
Anthony S — Google review
Arrived from NYC and this place was recommended by one of tour guides. A reservation is highly recommended. They have an extensive local wine list. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the ravioli , pasta with sausage, and the pork with potatoes. The desert was excellent. It was the best food we had in Palermo.
Marcus O — Google review
lovely restaurant we ate lunch in to celebrate my birthday, we was seated outside which we did pre book, would recommend doing this as as we sat down it started to get more busy and was queing down the street, we both had 2 different types of pasta, they was both yummy! the atmosphere was great, staff was good but could’ve been more attentive, overall a good lunch/dinner spot.

Nino 'u Ballerino is an iconic spot in Palermo, offering a variety of street food and traditional dishes. Originally a small rotisserie, it has expanded to include gastronomy, pizzeria, and hamburgeria. A must-try is the 'pani ca meusa,' a traditional sandwich featuring beef spleen and lung with ricotta cheese or caciocavallo cheese on a sesame bun.
This is a delicious and very, very visitor friendly street food restaurant! With inside and outside tables that are all very nice, you can have delicious familiar food (including pizza which seems to be very popular for take out) or completely outrageous unfamiliar food that is delicious! Try the Milza and ask what it is afterwards! With limited English, they really help you find something you like. Don't be shy in pointing and asking. Everything is very affordable including the wine and other drinks. It's just a great experience. I gave it a five for atmosphere even though it's a street place! It is THE street place!
Steve R — Google review
While out running errands in the neighborhood, I dropped in at Nino u’ Ballerino, one of the best known places in Palermo for Sicilian street food, to get some arancini (rice balls). I bought two of the classics: meat ragù & peas (the round) and burro (cheese & ham, the oval). They were good but not the best I’ve had in Palermo. Only €2.50 each which is a bargain compared to what they cost in NYC!
Francine L — Google review
A great little place for a quick and tasty bite in Palermo. The arancini were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy inside, exactly as they should be. Their fresh juices were a nice surprise and complemented the meal perfectly. Service was fast and super friendly; the staff made sure everything went smoothly even though the place was quite busy. Simple, local, and delicious, everything you’d want from a Sicilian street-food stop. Highly recommended if you’re exploring nearby and need a satisfying break. Also it's called Nino so I have to put it a 5/5.
NINO V — Google review
Good street food at good prices. The employees are amazingly friendly and help you order if you aren’t fluent in Italian. I dropped €110 on the ground when pulling my phone from my pocket and they returned it to me. Even aside from that, they are just lovely!
B B — Google review
Almost anywhere else same fried panelle or croquettes we had were made fresh. Here they served us after microwaving it, not sure how long ago they were made, the taste was really not a good experience. We were expecting much better based on the reviews they have.
Alper M — Google review
I had a decent experience at Nino Ballerino. The food was satisfactory and reasonably enjoyable. Nothing particularly stood out, but it was a pleasant meal overall. Service was okay, and the atmosphere was comfortable. A decent option if you’re in the area

Great street food! Went here just to try it. Had a pani câ meusa (spleen) and an arancino. The spleen sandwich was very delicious. It was so juicy and the meat was very tender. The arancino was nice too. The staff might look grumpy, but they were very nice. The prices were good. Paid €5 for those two things and a bottle of water. Definitely recommend this place!

Quattroventi is a highly recommended fine dining restaurant offering refined and creative Italian dishes in an elegant contemporary setting adorned with captivating artworks. Located just outside the historical center, the restaurant's modern decor appeals to discerning locals more than tourists. The set menus feature a delightful selection of traditional cuisine with a modern twist, and the wine list is both creative and authentic.
A fabulous address in Palermo. For 'comfort' food the dishes are beautifully plated with a some interesting pops of flavor. The service team was so accommodating and friendly. Price is very reasonable for the quality.

Maybe something has changed because our experience didn’t match the reviews. Food was ok but not good value overall. My smoked fish starter was quite dry and I didn’t finish it. My tuna bartaga pasta was too salty for me.
Lloyd W — Google review
I’m SO glad I came here for my last night in Sicily. This place put a unique spin on every dish. We enjoined every single bite. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. We had the eggplant foam appetizer, ceviche and the octopus. For dinner I had the cacio e pepe Sicilian style. My husband had this incredible garlic and oil pasta served with raw fish. We also tried all the desserts. This place is a must!
Samantha L — Google review
Simply amazing. After travelling through Sicily for a week, this was the best one I had. From starters to sweets - great. The fish parmigiana is worth every cent. Service is amazing and overall great place. Highly recommended (and I know my food).

Outstanding modern Sicilian food which is a must to try. After eating in a number of Sicilian restaurants I came across Quattroventi and discovered a whole new world of Sicilian cuisine and hospitality. Quattroventi is an absolute must to try, a little out of the city centre but definitely worth a taxi ride or a 15 - 20 minute walk. Using seasonal local and traditional ingredients the chef has an innovative way bringing these everyday Sicilian ingredients together with incredible flavours and an unpretentious style. A variety of set menus are available as well as an la carte offering different price points and menu styles. Faultless food, professional personal service and an owner Gabrielle who is also so passionate and personable. One of the best meals we had in Palermo. Thank you so much Quattroventi!

Very very recommended! The restaurant is just outside of the historical center, a 15 minutes walk from the touristic area. Pleasant and elegant interior, with a modern decor. This is not a touristic restaurant, and most of the customers were locals. We had a great dinner. We chose the fixed 4 course menu, and had a delicious set of fish based dishes (plus unexpected welcome appetizers and small cookies selection before the dessert!). The menu is based on traditional cuisine, but with a modern twist. We thoroughly enjoyed everything: each dish was made of great quality ingredients and skillfully prepared. Pasta alla carrettiera with fish tartare and bottarga was an absolute highlight. The service was professional and friendly, and they advised us well on local wines. The price was very fair. Considering the excellent quality of food and service, we found this place very good value (115€ total for two people).
Alberto C — Google review
A bit out of the way but definitely worth visiting. More formal dining experience and the most we paid for 2 people whilst in Palermo...140 Euro including a tip, 3 courses and a bottle of wine. The quality of the food was outstanding and with really good gluten free options including copious amount of GF bread.
Shane K — Google review
Amazing food experience. Very professional and attentive service. I recommend this place if you are a foodie that demands high quality ingredients and service. If you like gintonic, don't miss it! They have a long list of local gins that is definitely worth to try! They will be happy to recommend you which one according to your preferences. I ordered the ceviche for antipasti, the fish al limone and the apple with cinamon and icecream.

Pulp salad with uncooked potatoes .... tiramisu pretty small with hard cookie in it . When you hear the waiter telling you that it is the way they do it in Sicilia ...What a poor experience.

Very nice pasta and Bruschetta with fresh pesto is something to try. Have fun along with some Sicilian wine!

Never in my life I ate so bad. Do not go here! Ordered the shrimp cocktail, got the very small shrimps on a plate with some salad and salsa rossa. Not really a shrimp cocktail. Main course, fillet steak but I don't know what kind of meat I was served, rubbish quality, really bad. This was not a fillet steak. Fire the cook on the spot please.
H V — Google review
I don't recommend this place. Me and my friend who is local were both literally shocked by what arrived. We ordered starters: fried octopus - we received 5 small pieces of dry tasteless octopus, the caponata didn't even look or taste like caponata and anchovies rolls were a disaster. Please change your sheff! The only positive point is the charming location in front of the church.
Ruslana G — Google review
In general simply dishes. I was not very satisfied with pasta with Bolognese sauce (salty) and vegetable salad. Prices a bit lower than on the main street. Next to the St. Ignacio church, so in calm place.

Amazing!! Service best we have received so far in Palermo. The onwer Stefano, took out order told us a bit about his business and served us all our meals. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. Will definitely eat here again before the end of our trip!
Jason H — Google review
My main problem with this place was the service and the way I was treated as a guest. I was alone and asked for a half liter of water...the waiter brought a full liter and when I told him I wanted a half, he said that the small bottles weren't cold. I ordered two courses, but they were both brought at the same time. When the bill came there were two mistakes: I was charged for two glasses of wine and two covers (bread), which was 7 euros more than it was supposed to be. The food was fine, not great, and the waiter was friendly, and was very apologetic about the various problems, but the above left a very bad impression.

Bistro
Maqueda Bistrot is a charming eatery located in the lively heart of Palermo's old town. It offers a delightful selection of lighter fare and antipasti, complemented by an impressive array of local wines. The bistro exudes a friendly and relaxed yet professional atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal or drinks.
Excellent tartare served on bruschetta, deliciously seasoned classic bruschetta, and a well-balanced platter — everything was full of flavor. The staff was also very polite and attentive.
Maja — Google review
It is placed on a busy street with lots of foot traffic passing by. The food was decent and beer cold. Better then the reserve! Staff were friendly and quick to respond when needed.
Eric S — Google review
I couldn’t rate Maqueda Bistrot any higher! This was my 3rd time in Sicily with my family. Going in the middle of summer, roaming around the streets of Palermo, you could imagine how much we were looking forward to a spot to just sit down and relax. This place was the spot! I first wanted to point out, we had sat down twice already in a couple of places a Ballaro, sweaty and uncomfortable we left. We then we’re on the hunt for something fast and some shade, amongst all the restaurants along that main strip, inviting us in, the team at Maqueda Bistro caught our eye with a beautiful fresh drink awaiting us from the bar window. They did not ask us to sit down, which enticed my husband and child even more. We had beautiful fresh bread with our caponata, bruschetta with pomodori, octopus and potato salad, clam and mussels pasta and a pistachio gamberi pasta finishing with a beautiful shot of limoncello. They had aircon inside, which made it even more enjoyable, however the service of the staff, the atmosphere and the food was top shelf amazing. My husband is Italian (Sicilian) and quoted this was one of the best pasta dishes he’s had. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! It is the best, please check it out.

We both got carbonara which was nice (slightly cold and very saucy with no bread to soak it up- but I understand the nature of the dish). Our issue was the one waiter, he was on his phone the whole time while people were coming in and he barely said one or two words and wasn’t very welcoming.
Emily F — Google review
Great spot to stop along the busy street. Perfect for a drink and some food and a little people watching. The prices are good, the food is good and so are the drinks. The staff are friendly and great so stop in for bit while you are walking the city. You will not retreat it!
Mark H — Google review
So, I love when we just sit down somewhere to have a drink and a snack, and it just is perfect. A bit crazy music from the neighbour shop, but it kinda makes it Palermo. We had bruscetta salmon and a crudo, it was perfetto! So walk in and enjoy! Not expensive!
Elisabeth E — Google review
Had dinner here, bruschetta with pasta. It was good enough but nothing like outstanding . Too many smokers around so I was breathing in more smoke and was not comfortable sitting outside.
Rashmi — Google review
A small place with a great eye for design and a lot to offer in terms of Sicilian treats and drinks 👌 I loved the Caponata, but the truffle bruschetta didn't really satisfy my taste buds. The Aperol Spritz was also to my satisfaction. I felt some items were overpriced, and I didn't get the best vibes from the waiter – hence not a full score, but very close!

(Translated by Google) Very nice idea and different from the usual.. It is a small delicatessen and cheese shop, which serves cute little boxes with various cheeses and cured meats inside with jams (in my opinion an excellent combination with the cheeses) and a good bottle of fruity wine. I personally liked the quality of the cured meats, in particular the pancetta and the coppa.

Market
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Palermo, Mercato del Capo is a feast for the senses. This lively market, with its narrow streets and bustling atmosphere, invites you to explore a kaleidoscope of colors and flavors. Best experienced in the morning, it showcases an array of fresh seafood and street food that reflects the local culinary culture. As you wander through its chaotic yet charming stalls, you'll encounter everything from vividly colored breadings to rich pestos and sauces—perfect for sampling!
Very nice fresh juice and, food and other sicilian food. I think it’s more local and less crowded. Great place to have a fresh breakfast and go sightseeing.
Maciej C — Google review
Interesting place but be very careful of the places with food out front and no menu. I was charged €14 for a limoncello spritz and small plate of Sicilian eggplant. The customers next to me were charged €23 for bread and a bottle of beer each. That place was a tourist ripoff.
Bill S — Google review
The Mercato del Capo in Palermo is a vibrant explosion of color, sound, and flavor, offering an authentic window into Sicilian daily life. Tucked among narrow streets near Teatro Massimo, this bustling market is alive with vendors calling out their wares, from glistening fresh fish and fragrant spices to pyramids of fruit, vegetables, and street-food specialties. The atmosphere is electric yet welcoming, with centuries of tradition preserved in the rhythm of bargaining and the aromas drifting through the air. It’s the perfect place to taste Palermo’s iconic street food—arancini, panelle, sfincione—or simply to soak up the lively ambiance among locals doing their daily shopping. More than a market, Il Capo is a living theatre of Sicilian culture and hospitality, and an unmissable five-star experience for any visitor.
Stephen W — Google review
Our first Sicilian market experience and it didn't let us down. Lots of vendors yelling and singing at each other. Some fresh and not so fresh produce on offer. The punnets of strawberries were starting to ferment in the heat, juicy though. A lot of the stalls were selling the same tourist items but there was a lot of fresh food vendors too.
Inyourvicinity — Google review
Visited Mercato del Capo while in Palermo. The atmosphere was lively and chaotic in the best way, with stalls selling fresh seafood, produce, cheeses, and street snacks. Grabbed some fritto misto di mare — tasty and only €5. It gets busy, but that’s part of the fun and energy. Overall, a fantastic place to get lost and dive into true local flavors. Saluti
Frank F — Google review
Pretty place, lots of the exact same products between different stalls, food is decent, most of it is fried. Vegetables, fruits, aperol, souvenirs, jars of pestos and pastes, spices and some pasta is sold here.
Lexi O — Google review
Vivid mercato in Palermo. Ocvupining several narrow streets in this area. Offering fresh fish, douvenirs, spices, homemade products and typical textile products with sicilian motive. Also if you are hungry there are several places with fresh food mostly fried or from the grill, some offering sea food tapas. As usual in the city also fresh squeezed juices are available or cocktails.
Goran M — Google review
A few street food vendors and small stores selling seafood and daily goods. I only walked by, as I didn’t feel it’s worth spending more time there.

The wine bar Bottega Monteleone - Vino e Aperitivo a Palermo in Palermo is perfect for a relaxing evening out with friends. The staff are friendly and know their wines, and the side dishes (a 3 euro aperitivo set) make it the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine while savouring some delicious Italian cuisine.
We came for a wine tasting. The wines served were 3 lights, a red and a sweet. Each was accompanied with food. All of us were red wine drinkers, but we all found the wines very good. The young lady serving did a great job explaining the profile of the wine and why each snack was paired with the wine. Nice atmosphere, comfortable place to enjoy a few hours.
Stephen P — Google review
The guided wine tasting paired with food was interesting. We got to taste five wines made with different grapes and from different regions of Sicily. I enjoyed the explanations by Giorgio (I hope I got the name right). Not cheap but recommended.
Sabine M — Google review
Review: I really enjoyed the cheese. The large platter of meats and cheeses was truly delicious. The appetizers were very fresh, and the bread was soft and flavorful — impressive, considering it was already 11 p.m. We ordered Etna red and orange wine. Unfortunately, they were disappointing: the orange wine tasted watery (in Modica we had an excellent orange wine to compare), and the red had an overpowering alcoholic note. The bar with Sicilian products left a generally pleasant impression. The barrel tables are a great design choice — a special thumbs-up from me as a designer. The atmosphere was also lovely: candles on the tables (though electric), nice music, and a diverse yet interesting crowd. The service was excellent: the waiter was very polite and empathetic, the table was thoroughly cleaned in front of us, and the ashtray was immediately replaced. Overall, the service left a very positive impression. On the downside — the menu is written on the wall. It’s not very convenient: you end up standing there, especially in heels, like a statue, trying to figure it out. The location is cozy — on a lively, but not too crowded side street.

As a solo traveller I signed up for a wine tasting session, on Friday night, the last night of my vacation, through 'get your guide'. I was the only person that signed up. They kindly offered different nights so that I could join others. I wasn't able to join other nights. They let me have the wine tasting as a personal event. It was such a special treat. The 3 wines I tried were excellent, learning about thier grapes was fascinating, and matching the flavors with local dishes was exquisit. They far exceeded a 5 star service, this was an outstanding, excellent last night of my vacation.

One of the best places we ate at while in Sicily. The lemon, anchovies and ricotta crostinis I still dream about along with the Caponata. Great selection of wines and cocktails.

A wine tasting here with all Sicilian wines and food to complement the wines was spectacular. The owner really knows her stuff and is very friendly and personable. Highly recommend! If you don’t want a full tasting it is also lovely and quiet for a drink.

La Sfincioneria is a Sicilian eatery known for its sfincione, a local version of pizza with a thicker, spongy base topped with tomatoes, onions, anchovies, and caciocavallo cheese. Visitors praise the quality of the bread and the crispy bottom. The friendly staff are eager to explain Sicilian cuisine and offer other specialties like arancine and porchetta sandwiches.
I was trying to find a place to taste this sfincione, a specialty in Sicily. I found this amazing place. I had a small discussion in Italian with what I think was the owner. Super smile and eager to explain me everything about the food in Sicily.

Takeout Restaurant
Antonello Street Food - Specialità Arancine is a must-visit spot in Palermo for those craving the iconic Sicilian dish, arancine. These delectable savory rice balls come with various fillings such as meat, sauce, and cheese, offering a creamy and risotto-like texture. Whether baked or fried, these treats are stacked high in local bakeries across town.
In my opinion the best Arancini in Palermo. It's just a small cart but freshly made, lots of filling and a delicate crust! Our experience with the vendor was warm, welcoming and incredibly, they are at a bargain price. We tried the classic, al ragu (lots of meat filling with peas and carrots). 10/10
Lisa G — Google review
Little stand But it's the Best aranchini so far! Way better than the popular aranchi shop in Cefalu. Friendly service. The owner doesn't speak much English But he has an English menu. Highly recommended. 2euro each only. Cheapest i have ever seen around. I think they only take cash.
Meme Z — Google review
Best arachini in Palermo. The guy is also super nice! He has ragu and mozerella. Only 2 euros
Piene C — Google review
To say that arancini are better than other bars is nothing... if you pass by there, try the difference ❤️❤️ you won't regret it 🥰😊
Enea G — Google review
Under the arch is a stand that sells perhaps the best arancini (arancine in Palermo dialect) that you will ever have! I have tasted many arancini and arancine in Catania and Palermo, and even famous shops like Ke Pelle cannot match the freshly fried and handmade arancine that the friendly stand owner Antonello makes. Even at this quality, the price is also incredibly reasonable at only 1.5€ whereas other places sell for double. If you seek real and excellent arancione, this stand is the place to go!
Jay Y — Google review
Arancinis prepared on the spot, absolutely delicious, very fair price, and the owner is the kindest person. Must try!
