My husband and I stumbled upon this bar by chance, and it ended up being our favorite spot of the whole trip! The vibe was incredible — there was an after-work crowd across the street, every table was full, cars could barely get through — it was chaotic in the best way. We each had a Negroni and then a lager, both great. The atmosphere was so lively and local, and there were even families with kids, so it felt really welcoming. Highly recommend for the amazing ambiance and energy — you won’t regret it!

La Vucciria in Palermo is a vibrant mix of market chaos and street food magic. I walked in through what felt like a fish market, with the smell of fresh seafood grilling right in front of me. You choose your fish from the display — I went for octopus, swordfish, aubergine, and a burger — all perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The setting is raw and authentic, with great music and a buzzing local vibe. It’s not fancy, but that’s the charm. A must if you want to taste real Sicilian street food in a truly local atmosphere.

I would say giving 2 stars is me being nice being that I caught a minor case of food poisoning after eating some octopus from one of the street vendors and on top of that it didn’t taste like anything but boiled octopus with lemon. Probably nice to take photos for street photography but other than that nothing more.

All other fountains are not running and filled to the very top with TRASH! So sad they are not maintained. Beautiful statuary. The aperol spritz’s were great, and pasta was delicious and well priced - especially the pasta with tuna ragout which was the dish of the day. The servers were all friendly. We went for dinner relatively earlier so it was a bit quieter than other restaurants on the street.

Had an amazing dining experience at Bisso Bistrot! The vibe is awesome, with a cozy yet modern feel. It's in a perfect location too. The food, though, is the real star of the show. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor, but I have to highlight the basmati rice with fried chicken. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, making it the ideal accompaniment to the rest of the amazing menu. The quality of the food is well worth the price (it is very affordable too). The dishes were presented nice, nothing innovative or outstanding though. The taste of most of the dishes was plain and lack some flavour kick. The ingredients were fresh. Some of the dishes from out tasting menu: variation of crudi, fish rolled with tomato espuma, potato puree, and marinated onion, pasta nero di sepia with gamberi and ricci espuma (great), fish in olive 'crust' with variation of caponata, watermelon mouse with cagliata, almond cake (great). Service was professional and attentive, but also too pushy. I understand that the restaurant wasn't full and maybe they wanted to take care of the customers, however coming every two minutes to check if we chose dishes or wine is too much and it's a lack of respect to our privacy. Overall, it was a good dinner, but nothing special.

At arrival, we are welcomed by warm greetings and ushered to our seats. The waitress then helped us to stow away our jackets and presented the menu to us. The menu clearly indicates the key ingredients of each dish. The variety is well selected and unique. We like that Chef Patrizia takes the order personally for all guests. Upon placing our orders, we were served with a welcome antipasti on the house. We ordered a variety of raw fish platter and red prawns with artichokes and potatoes as antipasti to start. Both dishes are good starters, well presented and tasty. We had Risotto in Mussels soup and a grilled fish fillet as main course. The portion is reasonable and we enjoyed both dishes very much. The freshness of the grilled fish and tastiness of the mussel soup that enriched the risotto is commendable. We like the presentation and curation of the desserts. We had an almond and lemon cake with creme brulee and vanilla ice cream, and a millefoglie with citrus cream, caramel ice cream and pudding. Both dessert are not overly sweet, the balance between the sweetness of cream and citrus fruit are on point. Dining in the restaurant is comfortable and we observed that service team is attentive to the needs of different guests at each table. The restaurant comes with a heftier price tag compared to majority of the restaurants in Palermo. However, it is worthwhile to dine in this restaurant as we felt that it is outstanding and value for money given the experience and quality of food. It is a restaurant we will revisit and host our guests the next time.

A truly enjoyable dining experience from Every perspective! Besides the menu selections there were a number of additional specials so we tasted several appetizers that were all scrumptious. We chose two pastas from the menu - a bucatini with sardines and spaghetti with cuttlefish and bottarga that were both delicious. We finished with the best cannoli either of us has ever had, a very generous serving to share. The wine selections are extensive and we asked for advice on a Sicilian wine to accompany our meal, and were thrilled with their recommendation. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and you need to book ahead, because it’s a popular establishment.

Awful apperitivo that felt like a tourist trap. We were expecting Italian bites and all we got were American hotdogs, bland sandwiches and dishes smothered in BBQ sauce. Drink was good. The whole thing was €18. Absolutely not worth it.

From 19h-22h you get a full plate of food and cocktail for only €16 pp. The food was really nice imo, a mix of Sicilian specialties and some more American style foods. Some veggie options as well, when ordering the waiter asked us if we had any allergies. Had to pay a bit extra for all cocktails that were over €8 (most of them are €8 but I wanted a margherita 😜 which was €10)

Found this restaurant when we were walking around Palermo and looked a very nice place so we booked for a 20:30 booking . When we arrived on the evening it was busy with locals so you know it must be good . Service was very good food was amazing and the atmosphere was great . While we were sat there we could a women singing and a brass band and then all of a sudden they came round the corner about 20 men carrying Jesus on a cross, from one church to another and then had a massive night math outside church and then walked back to the church they came from playing music . It was lovely to see would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Palermo, we will when we go back next definitely. Grazie

We were served by different servers, which caused a long delay when asking for the bill. Coffee was OK and the desserts freshly made and a bit too sweet.

A small bakery that’s clean and offers reasonable prices. The entrance is a bit tricky, but if you need a quick bite, this is definitely the spot.

26/10/2023 I wanted to try something local, made on spot, not the frozen ones; and yes, I was pleasantly impressed: the dough and the ingredients are fresh and good. I recommend this place so you can taste tasty local products and to have a comparison point of taste in everything you’ll try in your Palermo journey It’s a little bit difficult to find, because is inside a gang of a building , but also is near the Garibaldi Theater so it’s not impossible.

The best that you can found in Palermo!! It's super homemade and tasty! Very highly recommend! The service also is very kind and gentle and the price is just 1€ each pastry! Fantastic!

Recommended by a palermitan friend, this place is really good for snacks. Really fresh as well, everything I tasted was really good. I think the whole lot you see in the picture was a total of about €4. There are a few stools but it’s better to just take away. The staff was friendly enough. The best part is that I didn’t even feel grossed out after eating all this!

Cioccolateria Lorenzo is a fantastic spot for chocolate and coffee lovers in Palermo. We were searching for a good café and ended up in a place that truly delivers on indulgence. Their chocolate cakes were absolutely delicious, and both the cappuccino and the chocolate drink were excellent. Just a heads-up—the hot chocolate is so rich and dense, it’s practically a full meal. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great stop for anyone with a sweet tooth. We didn’t try the pralines, but they looked top-quality. If you’re craving a coffee break with a serious chocolate upgrade, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely small café. Just sit down and they will take your order. Coffee taste nice, cakes are amazing. A good start for the morning. Nice vibes. Rather to go how I can imagine.

A sadly disappointing experience. The mud cake was dry and lacking in flavour. The point of a mud cake is to be more wet (like mud), the opposite of dry, so that was a shame. The double chocolate mousse was weird; you would expect 'double chocolate' to be 'a lot of chocolate', but it tasted mostly like raspberry. It was, in that sense, slightly interesting and unique, which I can appreciate, but a different name would have been better. The carrot cake's flavour was fine enough, but it was dry and felt like it had been in the fridge for a few days, it didn't taste fresh. The white chocolate milk was too sweet; the first moment of tasting it, it tasted nice, but then the sweetness overwhelmed any flavour. The dark chocolate - well, look at the picture, it looks like milk chocolate. I asked to add chili to it (to enrich the flavour of the dark chocolate), but there were just some supermarket chili flakes on the top. We liked the creaminess/thickness of the chocolate milk, but in general it felt and tasted more like a molten chocolate bar than professional chocolate milk. All in all, I would be completely fine with this in a random restaurant, but I expect better in a cioccolateria. The place is also very chaotic; loud, cramped, hot (inside), waiters don't really pay attention to you out of their own initiative... The first time we came inside, lacking any menu, greeting, or anything, we eventually decided to ask a waiter, who distractedly said it was better to come back another time, so then we just left - but when we came back the next day in the morning, it still felt the same. Our cakes were eventually delivered at the same time, but after that it took about ten more minutes to receive our hot chocolate milk - and mine was already cold when it was delivered... Not how a cioccolateria should feel.

As per usual my favourite place in palermo to do Aperitivo because of the kindness of the staff. Highly recommend the caponata and the Virgin mojitos were spot on!!! Thank you guys. Solid bar food and excellent vibes! We went in on a Friday night around 10pm absolutely exhausted after a day at the beach, and the mixed platter tray & drink for €18 hit the spot. The reviews are right by the way- the staff was all super chill! While the food wasn’t anything insanely special, we agreed it was the equivalent of good bar food in the USA: tasty, easy to eat, and varied enough that everyone can enjoy. (Though WAY less likely to give you a heart attack, unlike the USA counterpart) Honestly, I’d say this is a really solid spot if you’re looking for drinks, snacks, and a laid-back atmosphere. The crowd was all pretty young and most of them were speaking Italian too, which is usually the sort of place we look out for! SUCH a great change of pace from the sit-down restaurants surrounding the area.

We booked ahead of time (when eating in the evening I recommend this as it is quite busy especially on the weekends). Service and staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was nothing short of amazing it's small tapas style bites and maybe not enough to fill you if you haven't eaten all day but it is an aperitivo(happy hour)

Superb aperitivo in a great location! The restaurant kindly prepared a vegetarian board for us which was greatly appreciated and all the food was delicious (the pasta in particular was excellent!) The cocktails were also really good and our waiter was happy to answer questions about the wine and give recommendations. I would recommend booking as it gets quite busy.

It's OK. Situated at the top of a retail store and with rather limited views, including a whole building covered in scaffolding. Service good, prices average, food good. There are better places to eat and other places with views to try out as well as this one. We went for the views and were sat outside on the balcony with a light breeze and views of Scaffolding. Maybe better for a lunch rather than evening meal/Dinner

Lovely rooftop. Great views. Good service. But we got attacked by hungry pigeons!! As soon as the waitress put the crisps and nuts on the table, the pigeons literally jumped on and started eating them from the bowl.

I totally recommend to visit this beautiful terrace in the evening for the outstanding views and the nice atmosphere. That said, €9 cocktails loooked very pretty but were not good: Moscow mule had way too much ginger, Tequila Sunrise had too much alcohol, daiquiri was good, Apero spritz was ok. Service was correct, a bit up-nosed in a way if you ask for example to take a group picture, but I guess it comes with the type of place. As I said: great place for enjoying the views. Period.

Three words: classical tourist trap Prices for quality as juicy as the drinks. What you get for the prices? Mediocre ambiente and a waiter that has the charm of a wet sock. He acted like he‘s personally declared war on customer service — and you’re the front line. Can not recommend. The street though is nice - you’ll probably find something adequate

What a wonderful find! The midday snack and a glass of white wine from Mt. Etna were perfect. Sitting outside was peaceful and the service was great! I will be coming back to try the other fantastic wine selections.

For after the opera. Didn’t realize that was a kind of sports bar but that was okay. A bottle of nice champagne and a hefty charcuterie/cheese plate good enough for four and just under 20€ per person. Perfect.

Burger was good! But I was disappointed to see that they charge extra for mayo and ketchup. Not impressed given it's a pricey place...I also would like to add that the service was a little poor and waiters were eating while serving.

The service is very helpful and positive. Place is clean and well organized. As well looks very nice inside. For me prices for coffee and croissant / sweets are a bit to high because the taste is not that amazing as I heard. I went to this place from recommendation. In general, yes it’s worth to try it. For me it’s just sweet. So people like it. I wouldn’t order the same but would try different things. Coffee is normal. Not bad, not good. Definitely recommend this place but with this opinion:)

Even one star feels generous for this experience. I visited this restaurant this afternoon and ordered a coffee and some pastries. After just a few minutes, a staff member approached me and asked me to leave. Surprised, I asked if there was a time limit for dining, as there were no signs indicating one. It's important to note that language was not a barrier since I speak Italian, so there was no misunderstanding. The waiter consulted a colleague, and I was told I could stay, but only if I hurried and finished my coffee quickly. They wanted to seat a larger group at my table. This interaction was incredibly rude and humiliating, especially as it happened in full view of other customers. I felt rushed, unwelcome, and embarrassed. I ended up standing and quickly finishing my drink just to get out of there. Avoid this place at all costs unless public humiliation is your idea of good service.

We were stuck with our luggage with no where to go after check out. We hung out here for about an hour and a half. The WiFi was great, it was air conditioned, the food was great ( a little more expensive than other places), and the bathrooms were clean. It was a great place to relax before leaving to catch a train for our flight. Would recommend.

Worst food I had in Sicily. The cassata was horrible. It had no flavor at all - just sugar. I couldn’t even flnish it. 5€ was a crazy price as well. Please avoid and go anywhere else.

We stopped at this place for arancinis and we were not disappointed ! It offers several taste so we tried something different than the original : I had the chicken curry, my friend the spinach, both were delicious. My friend also had a chocolate cannoli, and she loved it too. The staff was nice.

Met some friends here for a drink. Wasn’t too impressed with the lack of air con inside and considering we did request an outside table, that request was initially ignored, even with 2 free tables. Half way through our drinks, the heat inside with No Air Con was unbearable and I asked (stating I can’t stay in here) another member of staff to move us outside, which they did! Much better outside where the decorate is very cool too! See pics both in and out. Prior to us meeting our friends, there was live music I was informed by my friends- she showed me her video of them & the saxophonist was very good! Shame we missed it! Drinks - they had no lemoncello to make a spritzer, no Malibu and no pink gin either! I struggled to find something I liked! The interior is unique but the bar itself and staff are lacking the magic

If you're looking for a craft beer spot in this area this is your best bet. Had the riding east beer and it was pretty decent. Price is a bit steep but its probably the best you're going to get in this part of the city. Its worth a trip out to check out as they have alot of different beers!

Good spot! Really enjoyed this place – the drinks were good, reasonably priced, and the atmosphere felt authentic. Not too touristy, which made it a nice break from the more crowded places nearby. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a relaxed, quality bar experience.

Nice vibrant bar off Via Roma, great atmosphere. As a solo traveller, they were really welcoming. Just stayed for a couple of drinks, so didn't look for food. Good amount of outdoor space. Had a great chat with the barman about Sicily, it's a good place. Would recommend for the end of your night to unwind.

The bartender Marco is awesome and attentive. We appreciated the quality of the cocktails: ice and garnishes were also spot on. It was not on the most touristy strip, and it felt very local as well, which we loved while exploring Palermo.

Must go to place, the atmosphere and staff is absolutely friendly. They have shows and events there often which are a must to see, also mix with locals which is a great diverse place to chat and drink

Absolutely excellent drinks. Great hospitality from the staff. The equally great bartender was happy to provide us with ‘surprise’ cocktails from the brilliantly varied menu that was too difficult to choose from - sometimes you just have to ask the bartender to choose for you. He did not let us down! The venue itself was lovely and definitely recommended for a decent drink when in Palermo! Will definitely return.

Funky small bar off via Roma in an impressive old church square. There was a somewhat alternative sounding band playing the night I was there, and they licensed the good sized crowd of 30- & 40-somethings. Good service at the bar, good drinks, great prices.

It's a great pub for people that love going to pubs. No fancy decoration, no fancy marketing just a good pub. Beers and spirits available and always lots of people enjoying the good vibes this place offers and in such a fantastic location. Go on, give it a try.

Off Via Roma bar, great selection of local and foreign beers. Full bar menu. Grab a drink from inside and hang out in the plaza. No one actually hangs out inside the bar. Mostly locals drinking, smoking and having a blast. Definitely recommended!!!

Amazing place to go! We were there on a Tuesday and they had a live band playing outside. Drinks are good and fairly priced and extra bonus are the free plates of apperitivo food you can get inside.

Monkey pub is Raw Palermo, A gold mine for the owners. A legendary bar. Counter inside with 2 bartenders pouring drinks as fast as they can, good wine & beer also. No seats inside and can get crowded. Get your drink and move on. Outside two large picnic tables usually full. So everyone just pours into the piazza and mingles and drink. Hundreds. Very fun, people of all ages. Highly recommend a visit.

Amazing place! The best caponata we had in Palermo. We also had slow-cooked beef ragu Pasta and spaghetti with sardines and fennel and a side salad of fennel, orange and herring and they made a special pasta order for our 2 year old. All food was exceptional and sophisticated. Service was amazing and they were all friendly and on-the-point. Highly recommend and will come back again.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! This place was recommended by our tour guide Luca and it exceeded expectations. The food was the best we had in Palermo. The guys who served us were brilliant. Really friendly and not shy about recommendations - which were really appreciated and turned out to be the best choices - especially the wine! The menu is simple which I find perfect. The food was of a high quality and cooked perfectly. We had the black pork shank which was huge and so so so good and the Ragu which was some of the best cooked pasta I have ever had anywhere. The pictures do no do it justice as we just wanted to get stuck into the food!! When we come back to Palermo we are booking back here for definite!! Kim and Ryan

Good wine, lovely little restaurant in a quite neighbourhood We love the natural wine from Etna recommended by waiter, the squid ink pasta is also very good, rich and al dente. Traditional Caponata is another good pick. The raw oysters that day were not very good, not fresh and tiny

Awesome spot right by the water with great food and wine. The team is very knowledgeable and provided us with great wine pairings for our meal.

The octopus had started to go bad; the whole dish was gritty, watery, and too fishy just like it had gone off. The eggplant was fine, some of it had a proper buttery texture, other parts were dry and rubbery however.

Amazing natural wine bar. It spills out onto the street with small tables on either side. Great selection of wines and really knowledgable staff who talk you through the profile and origin of each. Fills up quickly so best to arrive at opening.

Stopped here before dinner, and it was packed (inside and out)! But the servers were patient and accommodating. We ended up sitting on the curb, but it was still a nice way to sip a quality glass of wine.

A nice place in the center of Vucciria market that opens around 17h and is great for aperitivo. They offer a good hot/cold cut bites on a round platter, the one at €18 also includes a drink (we had an aperol which was very generous). We are taking off one star because some bites were not that good (couscous, for example, was very plain), and it lacked seafood options - at Vucciria, you’re a bit at a loss if that’s the case..

Great atmosphere, the drinks were amazing, especially the Sour Siciliano, and we had a great time for happy hour. Staff was very friendly and efficient with our large group of 8 people.

Pleasant little bar - stopped for a spritz. Very welcoming guys. Really pleasant. Was going to have an Aperol spritz but was recommend the House Spritz. Which was delightful - made with their own mandarin orange liqueur. The only downside side was that an Aperol spritz would have been considerably cheaper 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫but fair play - it was a very nice drink and we got an extra shot of the liqueur which was great. Give it a go. Great service.

Thinking back to our days in Palermo, this place is one of the things that will remain a big part of the memory. And if I ever get back to the city, I know where I'll be going for aperitivo. The service was very friendly and helpful (looking at you, Noemi), the drinks were great (great and original cocktails from -I hope I remembered right- Danilo) and the food plates were filled with Sicilian deliciousness. Thanks all for two very pleasant evenings (yes, we went back the second night) and good luck with the place. We loved it!

I asked for wine tasting. Unfortunately neither the director nor the waiter could explain me the quality of the wine that they served me as well as the story about different Sicilian winery. They neither asked me which kind of wine I preferred. I expected more from wine tasting. Less knowledge of Sicilian wine.

They have a good range of wines. We were hoping for a wine tasting event but that wasn't possible. They do advise you the prices of the wines you select, particularly if you pick up an expensive one!

The place is ok but service is pretty bad: we waited for about 15 minutes but no one came to give us the menu or take our order. The waiter is not to blame as she was alone for all the tables... It's ba pity as the place has a good potential.

We had lovely early evening drinks here after visiting the museum nearby. It was nice and calm from 5-7 so we could sit and read our books. The staff were friendly and nice and the aperitivo snacks were tasty!

Zammù is a nice bar with a good location to have a drink or even more than only one drink. The Aperol is much better than in other places and i really enjoyed the free peanuts here. Also the service was really attend and nice. Really recommend this bar for some drinks.
