Villa Igiea, a Rocco Forte Hotel, is an elegant property located in Palermo, strategically positioned between Monte Pellegrino and the Gulf of Palermo. The hotel offers a blend of urban living and natural beauty with stunning Mediterranean landscapes. The design of the hotel draws inspiration from the rich history of Palermo and has been meticulously reconstructed under the guidance of renowned architects.
We’ve just returned from a beautiful stay at Villa Igiea to celebrate our honeymoon. The hotel itself is stunning — gorgeous grounds, lovely interiors, and great restaurants. Breakfast, in particular, was a real highlight! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and our room was really comfortable. Overall, we had a very positive experience, but there are a couple of things worth mentioning. The hotel overlooks a working port on the right-hand side, where large ferries and ships are docked. These stay brightly lit through the night and can be noisy, unfortunately our room faced that way, so it did affect our sleep. It’s something we hadn’t expected, as it isn’t visible in any of the photos or videos of the hotel online. During our stay, there was also ongoing construction in the port area — we were told it was related to creating a private beach for the hotel next year. For five days, there was constant drilling, engine noise, and shouting from workers, which made it hard to fully relax as it was directly below the pool and sun loungers area. Please see the videos I’ve uploaded. It’s a beautiful hotel with lots to offer, and we did enjoy our time overall it’s just a shame about the noise and light disturbance, which impacted an otherwise special trip.

The Villa Igiea was our closing hotel during our Sicilian adventure, and it was indeed the star at the top of the Christmas tree. With its lovely historic setting overlooking the port of Palermo, the hotel building itself is a gorgeous blend of times past, present, and even future as they work to improve their facilities. The staff were all so warm and welcoming. The service in all the restaurants and bars was perfect, particularly at our dinner at Florio. Amazing. While the location makes it too far to walk to the theaters or the historic center, it is a welcome respite from the busy streets of Palermo. Thank you, Villa Igiea, for a delightful close to our vacation in Sicily.
Rhonda K — Google review
We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The location was perfect for us as it was just outside the busiest part of Palermo. The building is beautiful and historic(including spectacular views of the bay and surrounding mountains). From the moment we checked in and until we left, the staff could not have done enough for us. We had arrived after some long traveling and the took extra care to ensure our comfort by quickly getting us in our room, offering refreshments and securing reservations at their primary restaurant, Florio. We found the food to be very good, the bar active and entertaining and the patio overlooking the bay very calming and inviting. Upon leaving, they packed us very njce bags of breakfast items for each of us in our party as we had an early departure. It was a very nice touch. If you’re looking for true 5 star accommodations while in Palermo, Villa Igiea is the best spot. Arrivederci per ora, torneremo!

My mother and I just spent 2.5 week in Sicily and this hotel was our favorite. The location and grounds were outstanding. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. Roberto Supporta (we asked for his full name) was absolutely incredible. He would consistently go above and beyond anything that was asked of him. We looked forward to seeing him at the different restaurants at lunch and at cocktail hour every day. .i hope that the owners of this establishment know what a dedicated gentleman they have working for them. Wonderful hotel… highly recommend!!!

For those who appreciate excellence and elegance…. We spent a long weekend at Villa Igiea with my family during the Palermo Half Marathon — and it was simply exceptional. The atmosphere, service, and charm of the place make it one of the most elegant hotels in Italy. A perfect blend of history, style, and warm Sicilian hospitality.

A fantastic hotel. Rooms and service perfect. Very nice and helpful staff. We liked the terrace of the hotel. Whether breakfast or dinner the view and the food were excellent. Newly learned: The drink “Colonel” (sorbet) is called “Sorbetto al limone con vodka” in Italy.
DEGELER — Google review
Spectacular old world waterfront property that was once a private estate that has been meticulously restored. The food is very nice and the service is excellent in most areas. In some not so much. I had a accident on a boat provided by the hotel and my leg got very banged up and bloody. I came back to the hotel and no one offered to call me a Dr. or even followed up with a phone call later to see how I was doing. A shame because that put a damper on my view of the hotel.

Palazzo Brunaccini is an elegant boutique hotel located in an 18th-century mansion in the heart of Palermo, Sicily. The hotel features individually decorated rooms with a modern design, showcasing contemporary art and designer furniture alongside original architectural elements like beamed ceilings and arched doorways. Guests can enjoy upscale dining at the hotel's restaurant, which offers authentic Sicilian cuisine using fresh ingredients from the nearby Ballaro market.
Friendly, helpful and service minded staff. Very clean rooms with beautiful decoration, comfortable beds and nice view from the balcony. The breakfast is good but too much focus on sweets, could be a bit healthier in my opinion. The only negative detail about this hotel is the poor coffee included with the breakfast.
Elin K — Google review
A disappointment. There are probably nice rooms in this hotel but mine was at ground level next to restaurant tables and definitely not worth $164. I would say $80 value at best. Ordinary breakfast. Charming staff and great location.
Francois C — Google review
The hotel is very elegant. And sophiaticated. The interior is stunning. The building is very beautiful and historical. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with cozy sofas and nice pillows. The neighborhood is not nice and less secure. At the time I checked in, in the afternoon the bellboy wasn’t there and the receptionist was not offering any assistance in helping me with luggage and showing the room. It was very difficult to find it and only accessible by stairs. Definitely not what i am use to. The breakfast was not impressive by any means. No decent selection of fresh fruits. For fresh squeezed orange juice there was a surcharge. .
Marilyn J — Google review
Obviously an old building situated in the old town, which is nice as such. Nevertheless, rooms are very dark, some more lights would definitely help. Service was ok but nothing special. Waitress attending breakfast constantly talking privately on the phone. Breakfast choice a deception - why does a 4 star hotel not provide local pastry from a bakery, but instead offers crostata and cakes from Mulino Bianco, which can be bought at any convenience store? And instead of offering canned peaches, why not get them fresh from the market, which is 50 mts away? To sum up, a hotel to pick for its location, but not a 4 star experience.
Nikos K — Google review
The hotel itself is quite nice, but the rooms are stuffy and not great. Had to switch rooms due to various issues with the rooms and AC units, eventually landing on a deluxe suite. Tried room service but was told we had to go down to the restaurant to place the order because of an event that night, which kind of defeats the purpose of room service (and why we chose to stay here). When doing that, they look our order without issue. Still not sure why this couldn't have been done over the phone as advertised. The food was excellent and arrived quickly. Location was also great, provided your cab knows where to drop you off. Otherwise you may need to walk through the market with your bags to arrive.
Rob H — Google review
The rooms are spacious and clean. The decor is not great. Helpful staff. It is in the historic center. It is lively, but the area is not clean. Lots of restos/bars/cafes. Seven Restaurant which is 8 min away has a beautiful rooftop. Most of the area seems to cater to a younger crowd.
Vasiola B — Google review
We found hotel on various boking sites, it was definitely available on booking.com but as wr showed up at the reception we were told they don't have any rooms available for one night. We had to check out from the previous places due to maintenence issues and just walked into this one but the attitude here was awful, very snobby and unfriendly. I would not expect it from a hotel of this standard. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Hotel
Palazzo Arone dei Baroni di Valentino is a luxury hotel that offers a rich historical and cultural experience. Conveniently located near major attractions, the rooms seamlessly blend historic charm with modern comforts. The hotel hosts various cultural activities, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking an immersive experience. Guests can enjoy spacious, tastefully furnished, and clean rooms while being assisted by friendly and extremely helpful staff. Additionally, the palace's intimate dining room provides a wonderful homemade breakfast that encourages conversation amongst guests.
My wife and I visited the palace on our honeymoon. The location and room were perfect and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The concierge even coordinates with a nearby parking garage to make parking and retrieving your car a breeze if needed. Breakfast was wonderful! All homemade in the palace and so, so delicious - not to be missed. It’s served in an intimate dining room that encourages conversation amongst the guests - we loved swapping stories and recommendations with the others! I cannot recommend the palace enough; we hope to visit again.
C B — Google review
Our visit to Palazzo Arone dei Baroni di Valentino was nothing short of extraordinary. We were 3 women traveling by ourselves for the first time in Sicily. We wanted to find a location we would feel safe and wanted two full bathrooms in one accommodation. Therefore, we chose to stay in the two bedroom apartment. This accommodation offered us a rare glimpse into Palermo’s aristocratic past and breathtaking architecture, making it an unforgettable experience. We kept saying this palace found us… because it was such a hidden gem. It exceeded all expectations. The personal care given to us by the staff, daily and consistently, was Five Star service. I truly don’t believe I have found that personal of service in any Five Star Hotel. It was above and beyond gracious. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, providing fascinating insights into the palace’s history and its place in Palermo’s cultural heritage. As well as, assisting us with any information, help, or guidance that we needed during our stay. I wouldn't ever want to stay anywhere else in Palermo.
Christi L — Google review
We’ve been visiting Palazzo Arone di Valentino for many years now, and every single stay has been nothing short of fantastic. The palazzo itself is absolutely stunning full of charm, history, and elegance and it truly captures the beauty and spirit of Palermo. The owners are incredibly warm and caring, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. It’s clear how much love and attention has gone into preserving this beautiful property, and staying there feels like stepping into a piece of Sicilian history. If you’re planning a visit to Palermo, we couldn’t recommend this place more highly it’s a true gem in the heart of the city and a perfect base for exploring everything Palermo has to offer. We’re already looking forward to our next stay!
Giovanni F — Google review
Palazzo Valentino is perfectly located in the middle of Vittorio Emanuelle Street. You can reach every place you want to see, such as the historical centre, restaurants, bars, street food, marcato, downtown and port in a short time by walk. The apartment history goes to an old noble family. It has an aristocratic culture and offers warm and modern services. Each room has its own perfect ambience and magnificent decoration. You can stay in a room from centuries ago, wake up to the voices of artisans, and listen to the songs of Italian street artists or loud Arabic tunes. It's not easy to find a reasonable place in Palermo, I highly recommend Palazzo Valentino.

Traveled to Palermo with a group of friends for a birthday and had the most fabulous time staying at Palazzo Arone. A special thank you to Federica for helping me organize a dream celebration. The private dinner experience set up for us was truly one of the highlights of my birthday weekend—flawless service and such warm hospitality! It was a dream come true. Each room, especially the suite, was one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in, and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I return to Palermo.

Rooms available in a historic - and still occupied - baron's palace on one of the main streets in old Palermo. Beautiful antique charm, plus excellent hospitality provided by our hosts Darryl and Sara.

Extraordinarily wonderful hotel in the heart of Palermo. Beautiful and varied rooms located within a still-occupied palazzo. Within walking distance of all major attractions. Just 100m from the Quatro Canti.

Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa, nestled in the heart of Palermo, offers a luxurious and convenient stay for travelers. The 16th-century hotel features original architectural elements such as a stunning cloister with an indoor fountain. Guests can enjoy various dining options and a panoramic roof garden for breakfast during the summer months.
Spent 3 nights at the hotel in June 2025. Great location near the center of Palermo. The hotel layout is charming. The rooms were clean with excellent amenities. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast buffet had excellent choices. Highly recommended!
Ed K — Google review
A nice place to stay if you find yourself in the Borsa area for business. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short term stay. The staff demonstrated excellent service and the hotel was impeccably clean. The architecture and interior design reflect a classic Italian style, and I really appreciate that they’ve maintained the originality of the place. It’s a great mix of tradition and comfort.
Kayellin — Google review
Perfect location, but the hotel is a lot less impressive inside than it looks from outside. The rooms and corridors are large but old. Many rooms have no real windows and face inward into the lobby area, with a lot of music until almost midnight. Breakfast is disappointing.
Gabriel B — Google review
Went there for our Anniversary dinner. While the service was beyond excellent, my swordfish was very fishy tasting so I know it had been sitting around a while. My husband got the braciole and it was tough. Other options were very good. We stopped one evening to sit by the fountain for cocktails. Again, great service.
Ann S — Google review
Front desk staff who were on night shift was unprofessional and shockingly rude. He showed attitude and anger when we told him we booked through booking.com instead of directly via hotel. We were a group of 4 and booked 2 rooms. He claimed we booked 1 person per room so only let 2 of us checking in into 1 room? He completely ruined our night in Palermo. If this hotel has issues with guests booking through third-party websites, please DO NOT list your property online in the first place. I would strongly caution anyone considering this hotel to be prepared for hostility instead of hospitality.
YK N — Google review
It's a lovely vintage hotel in a good location. The traditional service (waiters all dressed up) and quality of coffee at breakfast were particularly apprecaited. Front desk service was also good. The closing roof over the courtyard and a few other bits showed signs of wear and tear but it's a special place. We paid over the top but that was our lack of research and the time of year.
Parry H — Google review
The wellness trail (jacuzzi, steam-room and sauna) is fantastic. The 90 minute session for €45 was well worth it. Clean, quiet and relaxing. The experience includes a sauna, emotional showers with flavoured water, steam bath with eucalyptus essences, hydromassage tub and relaxation area with herbal Tea room. Half way through the experience, I was served tea and water as well as some biscuits. Overall, it is an experience I recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break in Palermo.
Anthony L — Google review
Truly, a grand old hotel that is impeccably maintained. The common areas as well as the hotel rooms are truly stunning and represent a bygone era. Service is impeccable and staff is very willing to help. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for one evening and was disappointed that we did not stay at this hotel at the start of our trip.

The Grand Hotel et Des Palmes, originally a private residence for a prominent English family, is now a luxurious five-star hotel in the heart of Palermo. The hotel boasts sophisticated rooms and suites, a dramatic lobby with the Neobistro and Mixology Bar, and a refined rooftop restaurant. Its central location makes it convenient for exploring Palermo's sites, restaurants, and bars. With its neoclassical style and rich history, this grand hotel offers an elegant stay with breakfast included.
A 5-Star hotel no doubt. Beautiful rooms, outstanding service throughout the hotel, courteous front desk and Bell service - service second to none! Cleaning staff are incredibly courteous, thorough, and prompt. Room service is prompt and extremely friendly. Restaurants provide excellent choices and delicious food. If ever in Palermo, this is the place trip to stay! Bravo Grand Hotel et Des Palmes!

A lovely hotel in a great location for walking in Palermo. Near enough to walk to the historic center and also close to both Theaters with their lively nightlife. The service was impeccable from the warm greeting at the door through all the restaurants and the reception desk. While there were some maintenance problems, the hotel team worked hard to find a solution. My only recommendation to the hotel is to add furniture with storage. Not one shelf in the bathroom (which was beautiful and large with an amazing shower) nor a drawer for clothes in the bedroom. A large closet at the entry was the only storage. But this inconvenience did not detract from a lovely stay. I highly recommend afternoon drinks and snacks on their rooftop terrace.
Rhonda K — Google review
We recently had a brief but memorable stay at the Grand Hotel et des Palmes in Palermo, Sicily. The hotel is an oasis at the heart of Palermo and within a walking distance of all the main attractions in the city. The rooms are maintained impeccably. The staff everywhere in the hotel were eager and anxious to provide top quality services to their guests. The biggest highlight of our stay was the Chief Concierge, Marina. She seemed to be always there during the hours of 8-8, working tirelessly to solve all problems, be it recommending the perfect rooftop restaurant where my vegetarian wife could get a few excellent choices to arranging a picture perfect wine tasting within an hour of drive from Palermo and even finding a weighing scale just because we needed one for a particular purpose. I have traveled extensively around the world and in my humble experience, it is one of the classiest hotels in which I have ever stayed. Marina and the whole team at the Grand Hotel made our stay really memorable. Thank you!
Subhajit B — Google review
We had a nice stay at this hotel. The common areas of the hotel were well appointed and you certainly felt like you were in a luxury property in the common areas. The room was spacious and clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is well located for exploring the city. I wouldn’t say that the property felt as luxurious as other luxury properties and the value proposition was maybe not the best, but I think this is just an expensive city to stay in and you can’t avoid paying a lot for a good hotel but not an amazing hotel.
Patrick T — Google review
This is the loudest hotel I’ve ever been to in my life! The doors SLAM shut so you hear every single door shut from your room. The lobby is grand and beautiful but the rooms just seem cheap. The service is not up to par with being a 5 star hotel. Every other hotel we stayed at in Italy used WhatsApp to communicate and help with itineraries/dinner reservations/recommendations etc. This concierge doesn’t use that. They prefer to discuss over the phone or in person at the desk which is super inconvenient when we are out and about all day. Each morning we ordered coffee to the room it was a different charge. One day was free, was day was just service charge, and one day was service charge and an outrageous charge for the coffees themselves. Never been in a hotel room without a coffee maker. Pillows are sprayed with an intense perfume which is headache-inducing. Location is ideal however. Otherwise, the price is not justified and definitely not 5 stars.
Alison W — Google review
I didn't stay at the hotel but I had dinner it's restaurant in the terrace. Unfortunately it has been a disappointing experience. I ordered lamb and on my plate 90% was bone. There was only about 50 gr meat. You can't charge 35 Euro. I hope they pass this to the manager of restaurant and chef. Be away from the restaurant.
Jack S — Google review
We decided to “splurge” on a suite for my birthday and it was a mistake! It’s truly shocking how poorly decorated the suite is—it’s clear that 0 effort or thought for guest experience went into its design. Every single place where you could pick the cheapest option available, the cheapest option was chosen and it ruins the vibe. There are literally no wall decorations in the bedroom and the seating is laughable. If this were your spare bedroom, you would be embarrassed to have guests over. The opposite of luxurious and definitely not worth the price tag. Even with the 20% discount we received after talking with the hotel, I still feel cheated. Would you like to stay in a room that looks like a male university student decorated it (on a university student’s budget)? Choose this suite!
Leah C — Google review
Disappointing and not worth the price. This hotel was a terrible value. The towels were thin, old, and smelled like vinegar. The sheets were scratchy, and the entire place was lit with harsh white fluorescent lights—there was very little charm in the rooms. I was genuinely shocked to find it cost $1000 a night. I ended up checking out early despite having booked another night. The only redeeming aspect was the staff—they were all kind and clearly good at their jobs.

Nestled in the vibrant La Kalsa district, Hotel Palazzo Sitano offers a relaxed atmosphere with modern amenities, including a delightful restaurant and cocktail bar. Just a short stroll from the bustling Vucciria and Ballaro street markets, as well as historic sites like the Martorana Church and Fontana Pretoria Fountain, this hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Palermo's rich culture. Guests can enjoy air-conditioned rooms and complimentary Wi-Fi while taking advantage of nearby public parking.
Outstanding guest relation service! Leonardo at the front desk is very kind and helpful. My guest-status was recognized perfectly. Early check-in, room upgrade, welcoming glass of prosecco, welcome-present in the room and late check-out free of charge. The hotel itself looks like an old palace which is just great architecture. The rooms are very modern aswell.

I had a marvelous stay at this incredible hotel that is amazing in every way. Agostino, upon our arrival provided, us with fantastic places to see and was always helpful whenever we needed guidance. His knowledge and suggestions was incredibly helpful for a couple of New Yorkers with limited knowledge of the language, much less the city. Simply Priceless. Claudio and Danilo were excellent at both breakfast and our lunches which we were delighted to have in the Hotel. We were truly saddened to leave our home away from home in Palermo. Thank you, NH Collection, for having such an amazing staff in this incredible and beautiful place. A gem among the various accommodations. We will definitely be returning.

I had mixed feelings when I booked this hotel due to the bad reviews, but I did not find any other option during my research (that was well located and a decent price). I was surprised to see the hotel is super new, room was really big and staff is very nice. I had one of the back rooms and noise wansn’t a problem at all - but I did bring earplugs if that was the case. Anyways, hotel is really well located, has a great gym with new equipment (treadmills, weights and more) and amazing service. Breakfast was great too. I am so happy I chose to stay here.

Although the hotel is located in a busy area, the rooms are not completely quiet. The beds are very comfortable, and the overall experience reflects the usual high standards of NH collection hotels. What truly stood out was the exceptional friendliness and support of the staff. In particular, Agostino and Francesco at the reception went above and beyond to assist me when I encountered a problem, and their helpfulness made a real difference to my stay.

We had a fabulous experience at the NH in Palermo. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, the breakfast buffet was delicious and the room exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

Excellent room, super comfortable bed, amazing sound proofing, beautiful balcony, delicious breakfast, above and beyond service during check in, advice on sites to see in Palermo... Everything was 5/5! Location also super central and steps away from main sites.
Calvin N — Google review
Update: Let me just add, this is a 5/5 hotel with 5/5 staff. I just noticed some less than stellar reviews, and based on the pictures and comments, I believe they are referring to the older NH hotel about 5 minutes away (facing the main street and sea). I’ve visited that hotel and I’ll just say that it is different. Happy travels! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Sicily. After arriving by boat in the pouring rain, any trace of stress disappeared the moment I met Francesco at the front desk—kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. As an attorney with a remote court hearing later that afternoon, I needed peace, quiet, and reliable internet. Choosing to stay here was one of the best decisions I made during my entire time in Italy. The room was spotless, the bed exceptionally comfortable—I slept through the night for the first time in weeks. I had planned to work from the excellent business center and library, but once I stepped into my gorgeous room with a private balcony and stunning view, I knew I wasn’t going anywhere else. The attention to detail here is remarkable. Claudio and Giulia in the restaurant greeted me warmly with tea and biscuits after my long journey—a small gesture that meant the world. Their friendly, attentive service continued throughout my stay and made every meal feel special. And the breakfast? Truly unforgettable. The fresh-squeezed juice, vibrant fruits, and even the eggplant and broccoli were perfectly prepared. An impressive variety of breads, milks, and local specialties rounded out what was hands-down the best breakfast I’ve had in my three weeks traveling across Italy. Thank you to Claudio, Giulia, and Francesco for making this stay not only comfortable and productive, but also deeply memorable. Staying here was the highlight of my trip to Sicily.

We had breakfast at the NH Hotel twice during our stay, and both times Danilo was our waiter. He was absolutely wonderful, warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. It is rare to meet someone who combines professionalism with such kindness, and Danilo truly elevated our experience. Thank you, Danilo, for making our mornings so enjoyable!

A Casa di Amici is a unique boutique hostel located in the lively city of Palermo, offering a laid-back atmosphere and a range of amenities. Situated in the heart of the city, it provides easy access to attractions such as Teatro Massimo and the vibrant Teatro Politeama area. The hostel features cozy sofas, artistic murals, and a living room adorned with musical instruments, sculptures, and paintings.
I had a great stay at your hostel. The service was great and friendly, and everything made me feel at home. Furthermore the hostel is very clean! I would definitely recommend your nice place to others.

I had one of my best experiences staying at this hostel. I met some great people, including one of the staff members, Alessandra, who helps create such a friendly atmosphere. We gathered on the terrace almost every night for a few hours to enjoy each other's company. All the staff members were nice, helpful, and friendly.

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. It's in a convenient location, has a lot of amenities, great service, and a fun musical instrument theme! When we first came to this place at night, it was a bit confusing on how to get in. When you reach the front door, on the left is a doorbell button. Press that to open the front door and the gate in the lobby. Reception is on floor 2. They are very helpful there. I loved that you could get filtered water, breakfast, laundry, and luggage storage here. Besides the filtered water, everything else you had to pay a small fine for, but it's not bad at all. They even have a gluten free breakfast! They also have connections to a few trips or excursions that you can get a discount on by booking through them. Amazing place. If I ever go to Palermo again, I'm staying here.

Guests can enjoy straightforward rooms equipped with TVs, while complimentary Wi-Fi keeps you connected throughout your stay.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel for a very convenient price. The room was simple but clean, clam and well equipped. They provide towels, shower gel and a very generous breakfast. The location is ideal, in the heart of the city centre and not far away from the train station.

Basic hotel experience, providing everything needed. Very nice spot in the middle of the center, so it's even better than I expected. Even had breakfast included. Not something fancy or fresh, but can't complain. People were kind and it was reasonably clean. Although the bathroom cabin was extremely small. Overall it's ok. You're here to sleep a few nights

Low class hotel but with good location. Rooms are simple and small. Hot Shower only work after running the water for 5min. Breakfast is poor.....no bread, only thin sliced toast bread.....breakfast room in a entrance lobby. Very Positive is the service and friendly staff on the reception. Currently the construction next door, means noise early morning but also sometimes day time. Last, there is no lift in the hotel.

Very cute hotel with amazing and very helpful customer service. They all speak English which is a big plus. The breakfast is great, the italian pastries are to die for. There are all kinds of coffees available. The rooms are very good and comfy and there is free wifi. This hotel is in the historic center of Palermo, just 3 minutes walking from Quattro Canti. Absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone.

In 1 Word : Nightmare. Give 1 star as less is not possible. The air-conditioning has a severe problem (noise, impossible to sleep): the so called manager with his ultimate intelligence concluded that I (The Client, like the great movie) was "creating the problem". Only positive: staff serving breakfast were very nice. To be avoided.. Re answer People will understand from your response, keep going like this. As a CLIENT I don't beg, I make requests.

8 day stay at this hotel, which is a very nice building in a very quiet lane just off the main tourist area, very close to pretty much everything. Accept the fact this is not a 5 star hotel but a budget alternative and everything is good. Small but adequate rooms are clean and tidy with excellent maid service each day, sheets and towels changed regular. Breakfast was more than enough to get you going each day. Coffee, cakes, bread with toaster, croissants, meat tomatos, etc. you can ask for special coffees and gluten free food is available from the staff. We had an issue with the shower doors coming off the rails (hitting my wife in the head once), told staff on reception 3 times but nothing was done, so gave up asking and put towels on the floor to catch the water. obviously been in this condition a while and will be for a while longer. apart from that all was good

Had a few issues with the shower leaking, and not the best the view from our room, but the staff were brilliant, and the location couldn't be better. Right in the centre of the city about 5 minutes walk from the Theatre. Breakfast wasn't the best but at the end of the day it's just somewhere to sleep in between exploring the city. Good hotel. Great location. Great staff. Very clean. Needs a bit of tlc to fix some issues with the shower. Amazing value none-the-less.
Jon D — Google review
Excellent location and very close to the parking lot where you can park your car for €25 per day. Just make sure you get ZTL pass if entering the center on weekday, or you will get a big fine. The hotel can help you with it. There are also offices in Palermo you can get one, but to activate you will need an Italian phone number. The hotel is very secure and clean, rooms are small but comfortable. The big problem is that there is no heating in the rooms, I was freezing under two covers. The A/C unit is just for cooling and thank God, we didn’t need it as it was working like an old farm tractor and would be impossible to sleep under that noise. The unit was never cleaned, I guess. When the neighbor open the shower, you can hear it in your room. In general, the hotel is not really maintained. The first room we got was spacious, but the shower holder was broken, and the side of the shower stall was coming out of the wall when you try to close the door (and I am not even discussing the rust on the bottom of the shower as it is just an aesthetics issue). The front desk clerk found another room for us with strong walls and shower holder not broken, but on the first try, as soon as we opened the water, the shower head turned up and sprayed the bathroom wall next to the shower. The clerk said the room service will check it. “The room service” was the cleaning lady. She checked and told us that we “should hold the shower head in our hand, not use the holder”. I wonder why the holder was there in the first place. There was a fridge that didn’t work and a TV that said “No signal” on the screen, also safe box with dead batteries (or maybe not working). A lot of useless parts of “placed furniture”. The breakfast was good on the first day, the second day croissants were “of a second day freshness”, soggy...

Just a short stroll away from iconic landmarks like Fontana Pretoria and Palermo Cathedral, it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the city's rich history and vibrant culture.
We spent two nights in the garden apartment. The room was large, comfortable, clean, and private. We found yoga mats in the closet, with plenty of floor space to spread out. It's in a excellent location on a reasonable quiet side street within easy walking distance of virtually every site and restaurant we wanted to visit in Palermo. After booking, I have communicated with the staff about breakfast, transportation, etc. They provided answers right away and they were very helpful. During stay, the staff was extremely helpful, cheerful, and kind. The breakfast was outstandings and fresh. We had it served in our room and were greeted by three people parading it in. Food qualities were perfect. We enjoyed Sicily food very much. We definitely will go back there if we visit Palermo again. Thank you very much for the services.

What a gem. Great location on via Emmanuel. Staff were amazing. So helpful. Very professional and great ambassadors for Palmero. Rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. The complimentary Breakfast was great. Ordered the day before because of logistics for small kitchen and dining area. But so tasty. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to be in walking distance of old town icons. Reviews below reflect our experience. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a charming boutique hotel, very centrally located and with huge, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms. All the staff were friendly, helpful and hugely welcoming. The breakfast room is small and your time & options need to be pre-booked but the choice was fantastic and the food excellent - certainly all we needed. Would highly recommend for a city break in Palermo.

Our stay a Palazzo Natoli in Palermo was simply wonderful. The staff was warm and helpful. A special thanks to Alicia, who was very friendly, a delight to speak with and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. The breakfast each morning was catered to our individual tastes and was fresh, varied and delicious. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and had balconies with fantastic views of a lively main street. We can't wait to return to Palermo and stay at Natoli again.

The hotel has excellent Wi-Fi and a prime location in the heart of the city. The team is knowledgeable and amazingly helpful. Although there’s no elevator, the staff is more than willing to carry your suitcases up the stairs. The a/c works well. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and well-maintained. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows could use an upgrade. The breakfast is truly outstanding — made to order based on your personal selections. There are egg selections, fresh squeezed juices, local specialties and pastries. They offer three sittings, starting at 7:30 AM, with only four tables available at each time — and a takeaway option. To secure a specific time slot, you must select the day before. If you need a specific time, send them a note before you arrive. The hotel is less than a 15-minute walk from the train station and a 45-minute taxi to the airport. They are happy to arrange a car transfer for you.

Rooms were clean & roomy; service was impeccable! Everyone from ladies at front desk to all other staff were very kind, assisted w transportation, recommendations…etc. Breakfast was lovely and whatever staff could do to accommodate your needs were ,et as best as possible. Location is great & safe area. Access to shopping, dinning, & taxi transport. Only draw back…no elevator. You must climb up roomy flights of stairs to get to most rooms. Above all, I would def recommend to other travelers.

My Fiancee and I stayed just one night, and the hotel made us wish we stayed more! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; they booked dinner for us at their recommended spot (very good), and arranged a car the next day to get us to the airport. The room was absolutely gorgeous, with crown molding. Great location; in the center of it all, but high up enough where you don’t hear much street noise. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Palermo!

As others have written here, this place is the perfect hotel. The rooms are spacious, very well appointed, and everything in the rooms - beds, linens, showers, toiletries, demonstrated an emphasis on comfort and care. We were there in July and it was very hot, but the air conditioner worked beautifully and we slept well. The breakfast is outstanding. You do have to pick a time you want to eat, but the staff will accommodate special requests. We frequently saw people getting a small breakfast to go as they headed toward the airport. By the way, the cook is a very personable person who tries to make sure you get what you want. Finally, I have to give a huge A+ to the front desk staff. They were incredibly good at making local reservations and helping us figure out what to do. We decided to go to the beach in Cefalu on day and they helped us make reservations at a private club. They even arranged a car service because the trains went on strike the next morning. If you are staying for any length of time in Palermo, this should be your first choice.

The staff at the front desk were consistently delightful and very helpful! Always ready to assist with any questions or issues. Location cannot be beat - the airport bus drops you off almost right at the door! The rooms were very clean and well stocked with toiletries and amenities. Breakfast was well done - the servers seem a little harried but were very attentive. Overall, a great place to stay while in Palermo, will be recommending it to friends and family.

Great service, and the front staff is kind and friendly, which is wonderful. The room was spacious enough for a night’s stay and the bathroom was clean. The air conditioning worked well, the bedding was comfortable and the curtains blocked out most of the light. We did however notice that there were silverfish under the curtains, and that the tiles near the bottom of the wall kept falling off, which indicates that it is not being maintained properly. Do note that this hotel would not be a good choice if you have accessibility issues, as the bathroom is small and the room cannot fit a wheelchair if needed (I don’t think they’re claiming to be accessibility friendly though). I would recommend it for a night’s stay, but otherwise, I would not consider this place as a good price-value.

We had a room on the 7th floor with a balcony. The view and location of the hotel was perfect for our stay. It was just far enough away from the hustle of the downtown area. We walked to and from the Opera house area with no problems. There is a gelato shop just on the corner from the hotel that has the best gelato. The hotel is situated across from the square, Teatro Politeama Garribaldi. We found it to be the best location for us. We felt safe and comfortable walking to and from the hotel after dark. We would definitely stay again.

In an excellent location and very friendly service! We were extremely satisfied with our stay here - the balcony was nice and spacious and we had a gorgeous view of the piazza outside the hotel. The rooms were a little outdated but nothing that would lead us not to rebook. What really made this hotel amazing was the rooftop bar - amazing service and even better atmosphere. I would highly recommend staying here!

Tony S — Google review
The rooms are tremendously clean and well appointed. The only drawback to the rooms is that this is a boutique hotel and therefore the rooms are a bit smaller than a purpose built hotel. Having said that the location of the hotel and the staff of the hotel more than make up for room size. I was so appreciative to stay at a 4 star hotel with a staff that rivals any staff of any 5 star hotel that I have stayed at. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Hotel is very elegant, super clean and you will be treated like royalty. . You will not regret booking this hotel.

This is truly a remarkable hotel and you will agree once you’ve read through my comment. And yes, I too never comment unless it’s extremely good/bad. First, the interiors of this hotel are way better than the photos. I initially thought the photos were tacky for my taste but when I arrived, the high ceilings and ornate decor were classically beautiful and everything was immaculately clean. I stayed for 5 nights and my room was cleaned daily and I had breakfast there every morning as well. The daily water and chocolates were a nice touch. Fluffier pillows would have been great but I still had some good sleeps. Overall, the value is honestly amazing for the price. The real spark to this hotel though, is the stellar service of the staff. The receptionists knew my face and room number from day 1. My luggage was delayed and the staff was quick to coordinate with the airport and notify me of any updates. However, their service went beyond when I dropped my earring in the bathroom and somehow, it slipped in a crack between the wall and floor. A series of events pushed it further down and I was depressed thinking it was lost forever in a bathroom wall in Sicily… Roberto, the receptionist, promised to do their best the next morning with staff to help. I wasn’t enthusiastic. The next day, staff came - Lia and Nicola - and they indeed did their best. They tore down the wall and dug out my earring! I was so shocked and so impressed that the hotel was willing to go the extra mile for it. My boyfriend even said “I don’t think even the Ritz would do that!” 😆 I am very grateful and I will NEVER EVER doubt Sicilians again!!! 🥹 Before I left, I even met the hotel manager who knew about the situation and checked on me. Thank you again Roberto, Lia, Nicola, and other staff I didn’t get names of but were so helpful and welcoming during my stay - from receptionists to waiters in the breakfast room and cleaners. In short, this hotel is everything other 5-star reviews say AND MORE. Among the many places I have stayed at in my travels, this is one of the few I am enthusiastic about recommending and staying at again!! ❤️

We have just spent three nights at Grand Hotel Wagner and it was outstanding in every way!! Our family stayed in three rooms and each one was beautifully appointed with fabulous toiletries, nice towels, nespeesso machines, and tea pots. The hotel bar was wonderful and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was a fabulous display of assorted treats. The hotel is well situated in the old section of town and as such is filled with gilded light fixtures and wonderful architectural details. But the personal service is the star of the show! Everyone was kind and friendly. The door men, the baggage porters, the front desk….all were friendly and welcoming. We have to give a special thank you to Davide who served us breakfast on two of our mornings. He is a shining example of what personal service and attention to detail should be. Davide is warm, genuine, and extremely kind. Having this personal attention was a special treat which elevated the entire experience. Well done!!

Room: 3.5/5 the decor of the rooms matches the royalty of the city, beautifully decorated. However, bathrooms are small (in line with what you find in Europe) with tight shower. Beds were extremely comfy. Some noise of the city at night - but this was not big deal to us as we knew it was what you get in the city. Service: 3.5/5 front desk is excellent (5/5). Booked us private taxi from airport and to Taromina. Rest of service was okay- took a few minutes to get drinks and did not receive new bottle of water for turn down. English not spoken well for staff outside of front desk - prepare to use google translate. Location: 5/5 great location. Easy and quick walk to the markets and main sights of Palermo. Just far enough outside the main attractions to be on the quiet side. Cleanliness: 5/5 clean in rooms and common spaces. Food: 3.5/5 we only had the breakfast at the hotel, which is reflective in ranking. Breakfast is free with a good but not great spread of foods. Omelettes and non-scrambled eggs are extra charge. Food was good but not great. Value: 4.5/5 cheap price for what you get. Vibe: 3.8/5 hotel itself is beautiful with castle-like decor and elegance.

What a mistake. Booked this hotel for 3 nights and found out when I got to my room that all deluxe rooms and suites are facing the Main Street. Palermo is a town of motor scooters and all night long you can hear them. I have a junior suite (paid for by me 100%) and you can listen to those motorcycles day and night. OK. The thermostats (one in the living room and one in the bedroom) will not turn on the a/c system. If you like 78 degrees make sure you ask for room 308. The front desk tried to regulate the temp to 20 degrees, 21 degrees, 22 degrees and the system will not turn on. I asked for a room that I could sleep in tonight and he said there aren't any. My suggestion is that there are many hotels in Sicily and this is not a good choice. Sorry folks, but this is an honest comment and we are here in Europe until December 28th. I guess I shouldn't have stayed at the Madarin Oriental in Munich or on a Viking ship, both of which were perfect. After tomorrow I can forget about this hotel and if you take my word for it, you should forget about it before you make your reservation.

This is really a great hotel. It's location is perfect. It's close to Main downtown area so you could walk to things like the bollero street market easily. The room was fabulous.Good air conditioning tons of closet space. The staff was good. The hotel was good. There's nothing we could say bad about it.We really like that hotel. And more importantly, we had a rental car because we had to drive.some places and parking in Palermo is a nightmare, but the hotel had €27 a day parking service. So they just took our car for us. And when we wanted it, we just needed to let them know an hour ahead of time, it worked perfectly the whole time we were there. And the rooftop bar has an amazing view. And the breakfast buffet was pretty good too. Next time we're in polarama will definitely stay there again.

Hotel was excellent, but needs better lighting in the rooms. I had two weak bedside lamps, one floor lamp in the corner, and an overhead light by the door. There was no light at the desk area so I had to drag over the floor light. big clean comfortable rooms, excellent service, excellent location, good breakfast buffet. They were always very fast to send me the assistance and/or item that I needed.

Good hotel in a quiet location, very close to the sea/harbor and diagonally opposite the fantastic Palazzo Butera. My room was very spacious with a king size bed, large TV, plenty of storage space, a fully stocked minibar and an equally spacious bathroom with shower (which was unfortunately a bit moldy on closer inspection, so it should be improved). The air conditioning worked perfectly (was also necessary at night temperatures of 22 Gad). A big plus is the breakfast room, or rather the bar - a great roof terrace with a view of the city. Breakfast was ok, lots of cakes and croissants and generally more sweet than English - I really liked it. Service here varied a lot: some days very nice, others slightly annoyed and stressed. Concierge and reception nice. I can't say anything about the spa and parking service, I didn't use them. The hotel is not in an ultra-central location, but you can still walk quickly to the old town, Via Vittorio Emanuele and in a good 20 minutes to the cathedral, Palazzo Reale etc....

Wonderful hotel with an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the breakfast buffet is small but delicious. The rooftop terrace is also very nice, offering a beautiful panoramic view, especially at sunset. We had a truly enjoyable stay here, mille grazie!

Wonderful boutique Hotel. Enjoyed out stay here while in Palermo .

I would LOVE to give this a perfect score. All the amenities were fantastic. Suite, service, spa, and breakfast/bar were outstanding! And our hosts were so very hospitable. However, there was construction work being done across the street from early in the AM hours. As a tourist from the states it took me longer to recover from jet lag. We paid for a higher end room but our sleep was disturbed by the noise. Otherwise, reserve in advance. Perfect location and walking distance to almost anywhere. Fresh squeezed blood orange at breakfast daily. The best!

A bit underwhelming. Arrived late at night due to challenges getting an Uber from the airport. Our room was ready and greeting was good. Unfortunately the cold water stopped working immediately. I realized this when I put my foot into a slow draining shower several inches deep in very hot water. I called and reception said we can switch your rooms tomorrow. It also meant couldn’t flush the toilet. The view from our original room was directly at a building under renovation and a large construction light was pointed directly at our room. Why it was pointed at the hotel at all is a mystery. The blackout drapes and storm shutters blocked most of the light. The view from the balcony was of a small street, almost an alley, with far too much trash and detritus. The area in front of the hotel was the only area free from debris. If you have a car realize that parking on the street is very limited and you need to pay a fee for the limited transit zone every day. Next day we were loved to a new room next door which had hot and cold running water. Almost the same view. If you book here ask for a room facing the garden. There is a garden behind the hotel which is beautiful. Breakfast was ok, service was prompt. Some diners said once throngs run out they are not replenished. It was not very busy during our stay so we did not notice this. The view from the breakfast dining area is nice. The city itself is like past luxury but now in ruins. And the modern city is built on top of and around it. Trash seems to be a problem everywhere but I didn’t notice many rats or bugs. The hotel is pretty close to the sights downtown and very close to the harbor.

Casa Nostra Luxury Suites is a luxury spa hotel in Central Palermo that offers luxurious suites. The hotel is just 500 metres from the monumental Fontana Pretoria Fountain. There is a tennis court, a wellness centre and a barber shop on site.
We loved this hotel. We stayed 3 nights and we were not disappointed. The rooms are chic, simple and modern. We had a balcony which was perfect to play cards with the adult children and listen to the church bells. The breakfast is one of the best we have had and you have it in the patio which is beautiful. We chose the hotel for the pool amongst other things - it is small but just perfect for a dip after some hot sightseeing. All great and we hope to come back. The location is in a less touristy part of central Palermo, a bit run down and very local which we loved. You can walk to all the main sights. A small negative: : the room cleaning was not up to scratch - one day perfect the next day the was floor dirty and bins not emptied and no loo roll but as we loved the hotel we did not complain just asked for the loo roll.

We booked the Casa Nostra Boutique Hotel for a spontaneous Trip. The Staff were extremely nice and helpful. They always did everything they could to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. The Hotel is located in the heart of Palermo and you can reach everything on foot. Unfortunately our Trip was overshadowed by several problems. In the first room the shower didn’t work. It flooded the entire bathroom. After that the air conditioning stopped working. Even after we changed rooms the AC didn’t function properly. Their were other guests with the same Problem. A working Shower and air conditioning are essential in a city with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius. The room cleaning was also not up to standard. The bed cover had stains and the floor was always a bit dirty. Overall the Hotel has potential to be absolutely beautiful but it is not quite there yet. So the price for the rooms is way too high. As it stands, the price for the rooms is far too high. The value for money is poor, as the amenities don’t match the price. That being said, the staff were truly amazing!

A lovely hotel with the most wonderful staff. Eating in the courtyard was a great experience, whether the breakfast (spoilt for choice) or the romantically lit dinner. We booked almost by accident. We sent a querying email (in English) and quickly received an encouraging response. So our 4 night booking and the arrangement of airport transfers was all done this way. And when there, all the staff were brilliant. If we're ever back in Palermo this is where we'll stay.

We just returned from a lovely stay at Casa Nostra Boutique Hotel & Spa in Palermo, and I have to say this place really exceeded my expectations. Location is absolutely perfect. One is right in the heart of Palermo within easy walking distance of Teatro Massimo, the cathedral, and pretty much all the major attractions. We hardly needed any transportation since everything was so accessible on foot. The historic center location really made us feel like we were experiencing authentic Palermo life. We stayed in room 301, which was fantastic. It came with this amazing outside terrace jacuzzi that got sun throughout the day. The room itself was beautifully designed and very comfortable. The overall design of the hotel is top-notch. I did notice a few very minor things that might need some enhanced maintenance attention down the line, but honestly, these are tiny details that do not affect the experience at all right now. Everything is still in great condition and clearly well-maintained. The staff were genuinely kind, efficient, and always ready to help with recommendations or requests. They made us feel truly welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. I will be honest, it is a bit pricey, but for the quality of experience, location, and service, it felt worth it for our trip. The breakfast was great, served in their beautiful courtyard area. Overall, this is a great place and we are already talking about returning if we visit Palermo again. Casa Nostra has that perfect blend of boutique luxury and authenticity that is difficult to find. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a memorable stay in this amazing city!

The staff at Casa Nostra were very kind and really tried to make us feel welcome. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the high price (480€ per night) for the room with outdoor terrace and jacuzzi. On arrival, the jacuzzi was dirty with stagnant water. After cleaning, it turned out to be dysfunctional and unusable the first night. The air conditioning also barely worked. For the second night, we were moved to a similar room, but the jacuzzi was indoors instead of on a terrace, which was not what we had booked, and the room had a strange smell. The staff mentioned a 15% discount, but since we had already booked with Booking discounts, we did not actually pay less. Overall, while the team was lovely, the room conditions and facilities were very disappointing for the price paid.

The entire team at Casa nostra in Palermo were wonderful. They went above and beyond to make our stay such a fantastic experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and the hotel highly. The Lumia restaurant was also fabulous with some of the best sashimi we have ever had.

We really loved your hotel , the room, Pool , Spa and also the breakfast was very nice ! The location is perfect to take a strall through Palermo ! Vincenzo was very nice on day 1 and offered us an Upgrade in the boutique hotel instead of the B&B ! We really loved it ! He also helped us with parking Our car . Unfortunatly the second night (24-25.august) was noisy because of a Party going on in the rooftop (which wasn't even open yet) right above Our room ! We couldnt sleep until midnight, because there was loud Music, people Constantly moving chairs/forniture (?) and talking loud in the stairway ! Also in the Early morning there was loud moving of forniture right above us which woke us ! The room was very beatiful and stylish but there was a strong smell coming out of the shower /hand sink! Also one of the staff , i think his Name was Manu or Manuele stalked and wrote us on instagram a few times ! Not really professional !?

This was the worst stay ever. Both buildings have a serious sewer problem — the whole place smells like raw "poop", even while you sleep. We changed rooms twice, but nothing improved. The bathroom is disgusting: mold and fungi everywhere, the sink doesn’t drain, the shower has no water pressure, and the windows don’t close properly, so you’re kept awake all night by the light. The common areas are filthy, covered in dust and hair. Calling this a “boutique hotel” is a complete joke — it’s a nightmare you actually pay for. Do yourself a favor and never stay here.

They made us lose almost two days of vacations, they did not take care of anything not even the transportation of the luggage to the new hotel, wich is why I recomended that unsuspecting tourist flee from these people who are not at all serious and are scammers. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, modern, and tidy, with a nicely decorated lobby and a great breakfast. The staff were also very helpful. However, I was really disappointed that the WiFi didn’t work in my room. I raised it with reception a few times, but nothing was resolved and things they said was far from being helpful. It was quite inconvenient, especially since I was travelling with only mobile data. It’s a real drawback for an otherwise well-presented hotel. I’m left flabbergasted in my room now.

Historical landmark
Il Giardino di Ballarò Boutique Hotel is a charming 18th-century building located in the heart of Palermo's historic center. The hotel offers five uniquely decorated rooms and suites featuring quirky art, antiques, and original features. Guests can enjoy an al fresco breakfast in the citrus-scented courtyard or relax in the rooftop hot tub. The elegantly furnished rooms are equipped with modern amenities, and a cozy living room adds to the hotel's welcoming atmosphere.
We stayed at Il Giardino for 2 nights on our 10 day trip around Sicily. Aurora and her colleagues were very welcoming and attentive. Il Giordano is more B&B than hotel but the guests all enjoyed time in the lounge area chilling.. throughout the day. Breakfast was superb! The location is such that the noise of Palermo is a constant but once you’re used to it, it’s fine… The cathedral and many other sites are close by so it’s easy to step out to see your next location and then return to the tranquility of Il Giardino! Highly recommended! 😊

Teatro Massimo, located in Palermo, Italy, is a grand auditorium built in 1897 and still holds the title of Italy's largest theater with a seating capacity of 1,387. The building is an impressive and elegant architectural gem, featuring a pediment inscribed with the phrase "The Art renews the people and reveals its life." It was designed by architect Giovan Battista Filippo Basile and completed by his son.
The Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele in Palermo is a magnificent cultural landmark and one of Europe’s greatest opera houses, renowned for both its size and its beauty. Opened in 1897, it stands proudly in Piazza Verdi, with an imposing neoclassical façade and grand staircase that immediately convey its importance. Inside, the theatre is a marvel of acoustics and artistry, with ornate gilded decorations, plush red seating, and a breathtaking dome that enhance every performance. Guided tours reveal its fascinating history, including its decades-long closure and triumphant restoration, while evening performances offer a chance to experience world-class opera and ballet in a truly majestic setting. A visit here is not just about architecture or music—it’s about feeling the heartbeat of Palermo’s artistic soul, making it an unmissable five-star highlight of the city.

What a magnificent building! Beautiful on the inside and outz it felt magical being inside. We came a few days ago to watch a jazz show, the performers were amazing! It was very hot inside where we were sitting in the booth though (hence why I gave a 4-star review instead of 5), I'd advise to have a fan with you.

A true architectural masterpiece in the heart of Palermo Teatro Massimo impresses not only with its stunning exterior but also with its beautifully decorated interior and perfect acoustics. The location is central and surrounded by many great spots to explore.

We were incredibly lucky to have Teatro Massimo di Palermo literally on our doorstep. The architecture is stunning and absolutely photo-worthy. It’s also famous from The Godfather Part III, where the assassination of Apollonia was filmed. We loved passing by day and night, always catching a new angle. Overall, it’s a must-see and an easy stop while exploring Palermo. Saluti

We headed out early from Syracuse to do this hike. 1.2 km down the ravine to this little oasis. Getting there was an easy drive until we got a km away. Then you are on a very rocky, narrow road- praying that no one is coming the other way. Several larger vehicles parked at the start of the narrow road - i assume the passengers walked in. There are clean washrooms available for use at the top of the hill. We were given an estimate of 40 minutes down and an hour back. I’m not in the best of shape so was worried about the trip back up. Although I had already been doing a lot of steps and stairs for the past 13 days. We made it both ways in less than the estimated time told to us. The route was a mix of rock steps, loose rock and a few flatter spots- just to keep you going. lol It’s nice to be able to sit and have some lunch dangling your feet in the cool water. The temperature heated up as we descended. We were glad that the temp outside was around 24. I think if it was warmer it would slow the hike back up the hill as there isn’t a lot of shade to rest in. A beautiful hike and we certainly recommend it.

The B&B Hotel Palermo Quattro Canti offers cozy accommodations with complimentary Wi-Fi in a relaxed and affordable setting at the heart of the historic city center. Situated near the archaeological site of Quattro Canti, this hotel seamlessly blends modern amenities with historical charm. The spacious rooms feature modern furnishings and impressive windows that offer views of the vibrant urban surroundings. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay for guests.
I stayed here for 2 nights and it's without a doubt, the ideal hotel for downtown Palermo. The location is perfect: all major siteseeing spots are easily walkable. When we checked in, the staff told us we had been given a free upgrade to a bigger room, with a king size bed and sitting area, which was awesome. The room itself was very clean with all you need: extra towels, safe, fridge. All this was great, but the best part was the rooftop. The views were simply spectacular, you're really in the heart of Palermo and it shows. It's definitely worth adding the breakfast on: they had a great spread with everything you could want, plenty to get fueled up for the day.
Jack B — Google review
Definitely not a 3-star hotel. The rooms are very small, with a strong smell of mold and a lot of wear and tear (even rust in the bathroom). The only real positive is the excellent location in the historic center. Breakfast is served in a so-called rooftop (actually more like an attic), with plenty of pastries, Italian cold cuts, omelette, cereals, nuts, butter, jam, and very good coffee. However, for almost €200 per night plus €8 city tax, it’s really not worth it. To give an example: when I asked for an umbrella at reception, I was told they don’t have any and never did – is this really a 3-star service?
Tiberiu I — Google review
Well, I've never stayed in a 3 star hotel but we were coming on a course and recommended this place as we had transfers included to put course from this hotel. I would never of picked this usually but I just booked it without reading the reviews (wish I had). It's the worst place I've ever stayed. As much as it's location is perfect if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of everything, it is tired, dingy, smelly and basic. The down stairs reception looks reasonably nice but every time we walked in and out it smelt of sewage. We stayed on the 4th floor in room 432. It was basic. As in no kettle, no water, no shower cap or travel basics. Literally a TV, a fridge and hair and body wash provided. The main door frame to the room was hanging off. The only way to close the door was to slam it. Around the bath and sink was mouldy and gross. There was a window however it wasn't worth having. The view was awful. Just a tiny courtyard of other windows and steel frames. The air con when I turned it on dropped water droplets all over the floor and stunk of mould. The skirting boards and walls were chipped and tatty, the floor was chipped and raised in areas and only 1 pillow was provided on the bed. We unfortunately spent 4 nights here and the first night we felt really disappointed and it pit a real downer on our holiday. Thankfully we managed to see the funny side of it and joked about us always remembering how disappointing it was. We went to the breakfast for one morning and was really disappointed too. There was just watery bits of egg left and a few pieces of sausage when we were after something savoury. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. The staff were very cheerful and lovely though.

Our stay (4 adults) at this location went very smoothly from start to finish. Communication with the hotel from booking was clear and quick, especially when it came to my request of a potential early check in and luggage storage. Upon arrival they did end up having the room ready before check in which was a huge help, and the front desk was very friendly and informative about the amenities at the location. I also found out at check in that breakfast had been added on free of charge for our stay which I really appreciated. Overall our experience at the hotel was great, the building was clean, and location was perfect for our group as we spent a lot of our time going up and down the two main streets of the Quatro Canti, so having the hotel right at the center was great at the end of a long day. The view from the terrace was amazing, clear views of the Quatro Canti and the Fontana Pretoria and the rest of the cities' skyline. Being there off season (October) we didn't experience too much noise in the evening, and also had a pretty good rate for the 8 nights we stayed. A few critiques we had; it seemed no matter when we would check at the front desk they couldn't get us extra key cards (not due to losing ours but just to have more than one for the four of us), I guess due to the number of guests that were staying there. That was a bit annoying but we made do, and one night coming back our card didn't work but was quickly fixed by the front desk. And I'm not sure if it was just our room, but the bathroom didn't have a fan and no window in the bathroom to help with steaming up from showers.

Excellent location, beautiful roof top dining and bar. Staff on the rooftop were professional, courtesy and friendly. Mariachiara at Reception was so helpful, professional and always had a smile with wonderful greeting upon coming and going. She made my stay so special!

The hotel is in an excellent location. Also, all compliments to the friendly and helpful staff. However, there is an issue with mold in the bathrooms. After we complained about the mold and some tiny insects in the bathroom, specifically in the shower cabin, we were promptly given another, better room. Unfortunately, the bathroom situation there was quite similar. Otherwise, the hotel is clean. If they resolved this issue, the hotel would be very good! I hope they read the reviews and take action :)

Hotel Bel 3 is located on an elevated position overlooking Palermo and boasts incredible panoramic views from its rooftop pool and Jacuzzi, as well as from within the modern rooms. It offers a range of accommodation options, including family suites with balconies. The hotel also features a pizzeria and a rooftop pool & hot tub.
Our stay at Hotel Bel 3 was truly a highlight of our holiday in Palermo. While the rooms are a little outdated, the entire resort is very clean, comfortable, and affordable. The pool area was definitely our favorite spot—we spent a lot of time there relaxing in between wedding events and sightseeing. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant option in Palermo.

We stayed here for six nights and had overall quite a good experience, despite some smaller negatives. The hotel is on the outskirts of Palermo with a fantastic view of the city and bay. The road to the hotel is on both ends a bit “wild” and requires some patient driving (narrow streets through a residential and low visibility area on one end, several tight hairpins on the other end). Once you arrive, they provide parking either directly at the hotel for 7€/day - but that needs to be reserved in advance, which we failed to do - or in a nearby parking lot for 3€/day. The room we had was modern and quiet, with a decently-sized balcony to rest and enjoy the view, so we were happy with that. The breakfast was unfortunately underwhelming and mediocre. The selection of savory options and breads is small (on one day, they didn’t have white bread, only toast; on another day, the white bread was already a bit hard and stale), the orange juice was overly sweet and artificial, the coffee machine milk tank wasn’t filled up, so that it wouldn’t make cappuccino, the bacon was very greasy and soggy, and the scrambled egg was dry and clearly not fresh. The only thing that somehow redeemed it was the nice cornetti. The pool area, by contrast, was nice and quiet and the reception staff was very friendly and professional. In the restaurant, the waiting staff, while friendly, was quite slow and disorganized, so there is definitely room for improvement there.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room decent sized and clean. The view from the balcony over Palermo was great. The so called jacuzzi is not heated, it’s simply a small pool. If you want to use the pool after checkout, it’s 20 euros per person, which we found very much overpriced for the small pool it is. Breakfast is Italian style.

After 7 days of travelling throughout Italy and trying different hotels each night, Palermo was last on the list and I stayed here at the Hotel Bel 3. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by the lovely staff and was given an indepth view into what I could do on my stay. When I got to the room it was so spacious, comfortable, clean and just ticked all the boxes. A special mention has to go to the pool area too! The pool is great, ideal on a hot day and looks directly onto Monte Pellegrino. By far the best stay I had across my trip and would gladly do it all again. Thank you!

When we were checking in at Hotel Bel 3 in Palermo, we were told parking would cost €3 per day. While we were deciding whether to use it, the receptionist said he would offer it free of charge. At check-out, to our surprise, we were told we had to pay after all, and the staff made no effort to solve the issue. Very poor communication. We left dissatisfied. Breakfast was very disappointing for a 3-star hotel – no variety at all, always the same things every day. The restaurant serves tasty food, but portions are very small and overpriced for what you get. If you expect to leave full, this is not the place.

This place used to be nice but song time ago. Nobody was doing any renovation there, and I am not talking about anything serious but even replacing rusted elements or making no safety precautions in the area of stairs to the swimming pool for kids. Place was dirty, full of molds. The swimming pool was just maintained with the preservatives with chlorine. We left after 10 min when it started etching our faces. Breakfast was okeyish - mini pizzas and crossaints were the best to eat there. Do not try the juice - I have never experienced such poor quality juice, where you can literally feel the chemical part as an ingredient. This place has such great potential, it is so sad that it is not used well. The price is not worth staying there.

An amazing hotel in an oasis full of green with a view of the mountain and the whole city of Palermo. Big-sized rooms with really comfy beds, very friendly and helpful staff and very good breakfast. It is also a very clean hotel and the rooms are cleaned daily by a very kind worker.

Location perfect, rooms fantastic size and very clean. Beds really big and comfy, breakfast was good. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Very good value for money

The luxurious accommodations astounded us. It is within walking distance to the ferries and to downtown activities. The room was superb and the staff very helpful and friendly. A great place to relax and enjoy Palermo.

Very good value with a good, varied breakfast. It's not luxurious but for this price range it's the best out of four hotels I've used in Palermo and the only one I will return to - lovely art deco building, great location - central but relatively quiet
Lois M — Google review
Rather old fashioned hotel 10 minutes walk from the centre of Palermo, room was very large with two huge double beds which were comfortable, bathroom ok, shower temporamental! Aircon unit in room noisy but effective. If I went again I would stay in the modern Mercure around the corner.
David H — Google review
Disappointing. Unenthusiastic greeting at reception was a sign. There may be good rooms but 209 is not one of them. Internal view of an air well with a noisy lift. Room clean and spacious enough but the “galley” bathroom a tight squeeze. Lack of a smile from staff and depressing outlook from room = Rating of 2 is probably generous.
Tom M — Google review
This is the worse possible hotel you can check into. We moved 5 hotels within Italy within the same price point but this is far the worst . Room smells so bad, they gave us the worst room in the hotel that’s not updated . The hair dryer on that photo is so dirty and looks like an old vacuum cleaner . The toilet had poop marks . If you’re not local, be mindful , they discriminate . The only good thing about this hotel is its location.
M E — Google review
DO NOT STAY HERE — This hotel scammed us and then tried to gaslight us about it We were charged twice for the same stay. We had already paid via Agoda, but on the day of checkout, the hotel claimed they never received the payment and forced us to pay again, even after we showed them proof. Instead of contacting Agoda or Booking.com (as they should have), they told us to “deal with it ourselves” and refused to let us leave until we paid again. We spent over two hours at reception trying to sort this out — it was humiliating, abusive, and clearly not the first time they pull this trick. Only after days of follow-up emails did they refund us €81 out of €87, keeping the tourist tax — even though the tax should only be charged once, not twice. And when we called out their behavior, here’s what we got in writing: “Unfortunately, the issues were not our fault.” “The error came from Agoda and Booking, who told us we should ask you for the payment.” “You should appreciate our honesty.” They seriously tried to paint this as a favor to us. They even called the forced double charge a "commercial gesture" in their words — yes, they tried to spin their incompetence as generosity. Even worse, one of the receptionists told us (quote): “Figure it out with Agoda/Booking. Not our problem.” That is an actual quote, from a hotel employee, when we were trapped in their lobby after being charged twice. I cannot stress this enough: this was not a misunderstanding — this was a clear case of dishonesty and manipulation, followed by a passive-aggressive email chain where they dodged all responsibility and tried to paint themselves as victims. We were polite and patient. We gave them every chance to fix it the right way. They chose the wrong way — and now future guests should know. Avoid Hotel Tonic. Unprofessional, dishonest, and abusive. There are many wonderful places in Palermo. This is not one of them.

Located in the heart of Palermo, Hotel Joli offers guests a relaxing stay in an art nouveau setting. The 30 rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, with free Wi-Fi and a lounge area featuring an LCD TV. A bar is available for drinks and snacks, and airport shuttle service is also available. The staff are welcoming and helpful, with breakfast spread out over several floors.
This is a very charming hotel. It is not your sterile, overly modern, utilitarian version of lodging. It is a voyage to another era filled with nostalgic charm and romance. The artwork, especially of Edoardo Dispenza, that adorns the walls of this palace is original, expressive, and powerful. We wish to thank the Hotel Joli for providing such an enriching experience in our travels. The staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly...wonderful people.

Fake room photos. Good location, near historical centre. The hotel has a nice looking from the outside. The interior is a graphic design nightmare, but that´s not a problem… The problem is that they have a building aside the hotel, that they sell as the hotel, but it is like an appendix. the corridors are very low and narrow – you are always hitting in something, sometimes with your head… The same with rooms… a very small window, almost as an hatch; the entrance to the bathroom in like to enter in a trench, you need to dig…! Recommendation: for this price or a little bit more, you have better.
Padel V — Google review
We walked to the hotel at 9 in the morning from a ferry, fairly tired and hot already, and hoping that they can store our luggage. To our surprise our room was ready! That was a treat! Hotel located in older, 19 century building (or older?), fairly close to Palermo historical center. It definitely has a character. The lift is tiny, but hey, it works. You have to go though one flight of stairs down from where it stops (was no problem for us). Our room was large with a desk, funky chair, wardrobe, adequate bathroom with nice shower, working air conditioner, high ceiling, mural on the wall. Hotel has lots of beautiful artwork of a local artist Edoardo Dispenza. Staff was very friendly and helpful in calling a taxi for us. I want to add something about a language "barrier" - we don't speak Italian, but we could communicate well enough with help of modern technology, and we don't expect everybody speak perfect English.

Comfortable and Pleasant Stay at Hotel Joli We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Joli in Palermo. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and we felt very comfortable throughout our visit. One particular advantage is the 24-hour reception, which was especially helpful in our case: due to a flight delay and rebooking, we arrived late at night, but the check-in went smoothly without any issues. All the staff members were helpful and courteous, and always available for assistance when needed. The breakfast offered a good selection and was a convenient start to the day. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would consider returning when visiting Palermo again.

The hotel has a great location with amazing and welcoming staff that helps you with anything you need. Rooms have an air conditioner and when our stopped working, the Hotel immediately offered us another room and fixed the AC the next day. Renovation is needed in the toilets since the taps and shower head were old and a rusty. Also some parts of the shower cabin had mold. The room itself, towels, bed sheets and furniture were clean. The breakfast was really good! All in all would recommend this hotel to young people without children how can adapt to the hotel’s flaws and are on a budget.

You'd think you are booking a charming hotel in an old building, but instead it's a low class horrible one. The room given was on the first floor but as soon as you opened the door, there were some steep stairs downwards. The window opened onto the terrace stairs with no natural light and the bed sheets are covered with holes and stains from bed bugs from other rooms (I can see in the other reviews people complaining about bed bugs), luckily none in our room. The breakfast is ok but for the amount we paid we could have stayed in a better hotel in the area.
Jacopo G — Google review
Hotel Joli has various reviews which might make you hesitant to book a room there. We stayed in a room on the first floor and everything was really ok. The bathroom seems to be renovated recently and breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Regarding the parking issue, the hotel offers paid parking and depending in the size of your car costs are between 10-25 € a day. Yes, the rooms are somewhat small but not un- doable. The curtains and bedding could use an update but that's something minor. Last but not least, the location of perfect. Walking distance from various (historic) attractions, shops and restaurants.

BEDBUGS alert 🚨🚨🚨🪳🪳🪳 We booked a room at Hotel Joli for 2 nights. On the first night, I woke up with many scratches on my back. After waking up several times, I checked with a flashlight and found bedbugs everywhere: not only on the main bed, but also on the bunk beds where we had left our backpacks, on the pillows, and even on the curtains. Truly disgusting. We reported it at reception and they didn’t seem very surprised. They moved us to another room, which was much smaller and darker. The next day, a different person at reception even suggested that we might have brought the bugs with us. They offered yet another room, but we declined. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because, in the end, the staff apologized and tried to make us feel welcome. But overall, it was a very unpleasant experience.

Hotel Ambasciatori in Palermo is a refined 4-star venue offering sleek and elegant air-conditioned rooms. Situated in the historic center, it provides convenience and comfort at an affordable price. The hotel's location near the railway station makes it easy to explore the city, with shops, cafes, and restaurants just a short stroll away. With free Wi-Fi and a gym on-site, this grand hotel is an ideal choice for both short and long stays.
We spent 6 days in the hotel and enjoyed Sicily from here. The hotel location is excellent and the roof top bar the hotels crowning glory. It is typical of an Italian hotel in an old building which is fine, they could provide more towels and bathroom supplies. The hot water mixing valve in our shower required attention. There didn’t seem to be a guest lounge, we had a very wet day but the only opinion was our room. If we returned we would ask for a street front room with a balcony if possible. Staff were very helpful and mostly under stood our NZ English. Our room was very well cleaned daily and sheets changed every 3 nights Ants

The room we had, luckily for only a single night, was unacceptable. We had no natural light since the wall of the building next door was very close. The room was fairly large but needs to be completely refurbished. It had large pieces of old brown furniture. No thanks! Although the hotel had a lift there were half a dozen steep steps that needed to be climbed to get to it. Having been traveling for a month I had a two very heavy bags. When we arrived I asked for a porter and was told the hotel didn’t have a porter or any assistance. However, the receptionist did assist my wife. When we left I was told somebody would come to our room to pick up the bags up but they never showed up. My experience was of a run down 2 Star Hotel. Make sure you get a room with light. In my opinion this hotel is not suitable for Seniors. Disappointing….

Had a fantastic short stay at this lovely hotel. Everything runs smoothly, staff are friendly and helpful. My room was big and very clean. The outside noise is well insulated in the rooms, so even in this slightly busy area (on a Saturday night) it wasn’t really an issue. Lots of great places to eat and drink within 5 minutes walk. I will be asking my company to book me in here again next time I’m in Palermo! Molto grazie 🙏

Great hotel in the heart of Palermo. Safe, easy access and has a wonderful rooftop restaurant "Seven 7" with incredible views. Breakfast is served to guests up there in the morning. We dined at restaurant our first evening and enjoyed it very much. Excellent wine. The hotel room was nice with an elevator (very important as many old B&B'S or hotels have only stairs.) The front desk employees were wonderful with suggestions as I had already communicated to them before arrival. The whole staff were excellent and nice.Great bars, restaurants and sites within walking distance. Definitely recommend.!

The hotel has the prettiest view of the city. Breakfast was included with my room and I was able to eat it on this rooftop. It’s also called 7 restaurant if you want to book it for the night. The only downside of this place is that the street gets so noisy at night, I had trouble sleeping (since I’m coming from an extremely quiet country) but then I got used to it in the second night ! Love this place, must visit and you can get to anywhere in the city easily

Very nice hotel in central area. Staff polite but not very friendly. Rooms are spacious, ours also had a beautiful view of the city, but not all of them have nice views. Best to ask. Bathrooms need refurbishing, also the water in the shower went from extremely hot to extremely cold…When weather is warm enough breakfast is served upstairs on a very beautiful terrace. Views there are fantastic, but breakfast nothing special. I would still definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is perfectly located! The staff is phenomenal. The hotel is in a ZTL area and we were arriving by car. They have staff readily available to meet you at your car and park it for you. They get it for you any time you need it. We used the hotel at the beginning and end of our vacation, and both sides they brought all of our baggage from the car to the room door. Great place.

This hotel is in serious need of renovations, we can't understand how it has 4 stars seeing the state of the room, corridors, lights, etc. Even the plates, bowls and glasses of the restaurant are broken! And they keep using them! Also we didn't realise they were broken when we first took them and served our food. The room was in very poor condition, it smelt like dust, everything felt really old, there were scratches in almost all surfaces like the tables, walls, even the tv! There was no elevator to access our room, our bed was extremely uncomfortable, the air conditioning was very noisy, and the room service was very poor. They turned up to clean our room at 2pm when we were trying to hide from the extreme heat in Palermo. Having to leave our room after lunch while is that hot was extremely inconvenient. The location is great, the staff is really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is tasty. However, whether you are an early riser or need to arrive late in the night, the hotel will be closed and you'll need to ring to be granted access. Overall we were extremely disappointed, we were hoping to find a much modern hotel as showed in their pictures.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here at the end of August and had a wonderful time. The staff are lovely and it’s super central. Like literally it is in the middle of everything. The room itself was clean and comfy and the air conditioning was great too. Honestly the only downsides is the breakfast it is kind of mid. The pastries are good but there is not much savoury options and the coffee isn’t great either. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel !! :)

Quinticonto Room Break-In & Robbery While asleep in our room during the night thieves broke in and stole a purse with credit cards and cash. When reported to staff at the front desk there was little concern and no apology. The hotel did recover a change purse that was inside the purse but not the purse, the cash was gone and credits cards unsuccessfully used by the thieves. At the end of the day I asked about the purse. The new staff were completely unaware, apologetic and directed me to file a police report so the hotel could access hotel security footage. I went to the police station and delivered the report to the same seemingly unconcerned morning staff and they promised to contact me when they reviewed the footage. It has now been eight days, nothing from the Quintocanto so I decided to file this review. There are no deadbolts or inside secure locks on the rooms, only a key card lock to enter. If you choose to stay here I would block the door for your personal safety. The hotel did comp our parking charges. The Valet staff are friendly. Google maps directs you to the hotel on pedestrian streets and the hotel staff were no help getting to or from the hotel.

The location is really good. When we did the check in, two young lady and gentleman at reception were friendly, which made us feel welcome. The gentleman who helped us carry the luggage was also very enthusiastic and nice. However, we had a plane to get and booked a shuttle to airport at 3:30am, the brown guy who on night duty was SUPER RUDE AND MEAN. He dropped one of the breakfast bags (he saw me already took one suitcase and a handbag, but still gave me three breakfast packs). The yogurt was broken and he said nothing but left. I said thanks when we finished the check out, but again, he said nothing. I think the hotel needs to train your employee and TEACH HIM WHAT IS THE MANNER.

This is not a four-star hotel. It’s rundown and dirty, and it stinks. The location is central but that’s it. The room was dingy and old, with Motel 6 amenities and toiletries. The breakfast was sad and the coffee machine terrible. I’m quite disappointed by what was promised, or at least alluded to, especially based on how much we paid.

Great proximity to the train station, but really filthy, seedy area. The breakfast was pretty sparse by 9:30 even though it said it was served until 10:30. The rooms need a major cleaning, especially the shower. Noise was a HUGE problem at night. We thought that someone was collecting trash, but in the morning...the trash was still surrounding the building. Would not recommend unless being close to the train station is a necessity.

Not a 3 star Hotel for sure!!! The positive sides are first the location and second the quiet atmosphere of the hotel (not hearing other rooms). In the bathroom, they only provided two tiny travel-sized soaps and two little shampoo sachets (one per person) clearly intended for a single use. There were no extra soaps for the sink, so we were expected to wash our face and hands with the same soap we’d just used after the toilet, which felt unhygienic and quite ridiculous. There was also no mini fridge or minibar in the room, which was disappointing. And while there was an air conditioner, it had no remote control, we had to go to the reception every time we wanted it turned on or off, or adjusted to a different temperature.

There is a receptionist 24 hours. Staff is very friendly, and extremely helpful. Staff customers service are at a level of a 5 star hotel. The hotel is very well-located for walking around the main tourist areas of Palermo, with several excellent restaurants nearby. The staff were also generally very helpful and accommodated some special birthday requests. The rooms look good and are generally well laid-out, however we had some recurrent hot water and drainage problems with the shower that only got sorted out on our last day. The breakfast is really nice and the view from the rooftop terrace is incredibly beautiful!

We paid over $900 euros for two nights and were expecting something for that kind of money. We had to switch hotel rooms after our first night due to booking issues (not the hotels fault)...both of our rooms smelled of sewer gas. The rooms are decor-less, budget hotel rooms. Definitely not 4 star. Our bed cover the second night didn't have a cover on it so it was just a duvet and nothing else. The "suite" had a concrete floor that was sticky and gross. We were waiting for a hot water issue to be addressed and took our bottle of wine up to the closed patio of the restaurant to have a glass while waiting. A woman working came out of the restaurant and was not happy about us being there. Interrogated us about why were where there and was super rude. It's not like we were doing anything bad other than trying to enjoy some sort of view while waiting for our room. The entire place is tired, poorly run and I would NEVER recommend or even suggest someone stay there unless you were desperate.

This could be a four star hotel, but it is in bad need of a deep cleaning. The rooms are comfortable but a little shabby looking. Our shower was very dirty. There was dust and long dark hairs everywhere in our room. Front desk did nothing to correct it even though we told them several times.
C V — Google review
Overall for the price very disappointed. We booked thinking it’s 4 Star and would be good but it wasn’t. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. Good points: breakfast was ok. Location was decent. Bad: rooms were not great. We had the Junior suite and it was no where near a suite. They don’t even give a bottle of water (you need to buy). The cleaning wasn’t great. Overall: staff was ok. But stay away from here
Anshu B — Google review
This is NOT a 4 star hotel on any level. The front desk staff were ok but barely helpful. Room housekeeping never quite got it right. You are not allowed on the roof unless you pay , even to sit for a few minutes. The meeting room off the side of the lobby was consistently warm and we had to ask each time to put the air on. The hotel is a bit run down and the elevators take a very long time to get to any floor. Really disappointing - there are other hotels in the area far better. The daytime / morning front desk clerk gentleman was excellent and very helpful. He was the closest to 4 stars. Truly ridiculous that there is a charge to simply sit on the roof - when the entire roof was empty. Its the little things that make a huge difference. I would suggest a bettet choice unless you are content with a 2 or 3 star hotel that happen to get 4 stars because they have a Spa.
Robert B — Google review
On this trip we stayed in Rome, Perugia, Catania, Agrigento and Palermo, this was the worst hotel of the bunch. Pros: good location for exploring Palermo. Drinks at the rooftop bar in the evening are good and view is nice Cons: The rooms were dusty and another part of our group had to switch rooms because of how bad it smelled despite requesting a repeat cleaning. Another member of our party got locked in the bathroom because of a door malfunction. The breakfast was mediocre. I had a cake specially arranged to be delivered for a birthday. We ate some of the cake and the staff said we could have the remainder at breakfast the following morning. The next morning however the cake has “mysteriously disappeared” (likely into the stomachs of the staff). Would not recommend booking here.
Ben D — Google review
Decent rooms and location, staff a mixed bag - breakfast is the worst I've had in Italy. Shockingly bad toffee and juice in particular, run out of tomatoes, bacon, croissants then say it's finished - you know it's an issue when the tea is better than the coffee in Italy. Did message Guilia Brigulia 4 days ago but no response!!

Nestled in central Palermo, Alma Hotel is a modern boutique hotel offering streamlined rooms and suites with trendy accents. The spotlessly clean accommodations come with breakfast and Wi-Fi, and the owners are known for their top recommendations on local attractions and dining options. The hotel's convenient location makes it an ideal base for exploring the city's sights, such as the nearby Massimo Theater and Cathedral.
We were very happy with our stay at Alma. Such good staff. We met the owner at his restaurant as well. He was very appreciative of us staying there and coming to his restaurant. It really made us feel welcome. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just far enough from the old town that it is fairly quiet.

Nice boutique hotel that’s in a good location and good value. The staff and the rooms are very nice. We had a small balcony and the breakfast was very good. There’s many attractions in walking distance, local piazza with restaurants, shopping, gelato and the nearby Palermo market. I recommend the hotel.
Mrtwo1 — Google review
Amazing stay! The staff was super helpful and nice, they also gave us many tips on how to navigate the city walking since the hotel is well located. The room was neat and comfortable. If back in Palermo one day, I’ll definitely stay there again!

Perfect location, walking distance to everything central in Palermo. Staff super accommodating and nice, Michele checked us in and was great. Rooms are clean, safe, spacious and even had a memory foam pillow which was such an awesome change from flat feather hotel pillows. Even on a busy street, didn’t feel loud at all. AC unit was weak and made some noise but got the job done and wasn’t a bother. Continental breakfast was nice.!
Jusleen U — Google review
Great hotel with rooms and reception on a couple of different floors. Rooms are small but well kept, with mini fridges and safes. Staff is the best part - very friendly and took the time to explain Palermo to us when we checked in. Good location; walking to attractions generally 20-30 minutes in any direction.
Tisha H — Google review
Horrible, looked like a dorm room. The, bed mattress was around 5 inch thick sponge rubber and pillows were the same. Hotel safe was attached to the little refrigerator, so if you unplugged the refrigerator and took it out the room the little safe would go with it. We were on a expensive tour and Cultural Travels did not even view the hotel, rooms or location We should have been in at least a Four star hotel in a great location. Everyone was so disappointed. There were attractive parts of Sicily but we did not stay in one. When we used this tour group we went to Cuba and it was first class with Hotels and location so we expected the same….My advice is do a lot of research before, if not happy ask for a upgraded hotel in a safe and great location. Never recommend this to anyone

A perfect stay! Alma Hotel was truly a great choice: the location is ideal for exploring Palermo on foot, just minutes away from the city’s main attractions. The cleanliness was outstanding — everything spotless and well-maintained. The staff were kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, quality, and authentic hospitality in the heart of the city!

Looks modest from the outside but don’t be fooled; excellent staff, always helpful and smiling. The room was quite big, air conditioning, very well located. Breakfast was average but I highly recommend. New water every day and great earplugs which are not really necessary but appreciated.

Ostello Bello Palermo is a newly opened gem in the heart of the city, offering breathtaking beauty with tasteful furnishings that blend traditional Sicilian elements and modern comforts. The lively yet relaxed atmosphere is perfect for travelers looking to explore Palermo's cultural and gastronomic treasures. The hostel's ideal location allows easy access to the city's artistic and culinary attractions.
To be honest, it is the one of the best hostels i have stayed yet! All places are clean, convenient to open doors (first time it was not easy, need to install the app, actually, but i have understood - it is really easy). Also a lot of nice places to chill, relax and calm down, and a lot of fun staff to do! Sun terrace, pool, mini garden, table tennis, table football (and a lot, a lot), i think you can think about installing a hammock, or maybe you have it? Nice breakfast, good and common area around. Of course the best are people, while hot water was not working (at weekend, because it was no possibility to fix it, unfortunately) the manager (sorry, i forgot your name, brother, my fault :( gave me free breakfast for not to be so sad, it was nice. Also i have met great people, staying there. Good luck, you are doing the great job, guys! p.s. I would like to stay at your place at Rome, but prices were very high :/ (compare to Palermo)

Honestly staying at the Ostello Bello in Palmero was one of my all time favorite hostel experiences. I made so many friends there, the pool and bar contribute to the social scene and it’s very easy to meet new people. The rest of the facilities are also really nice, they have so many cute common spaces. We wanted to extend our stay but couldn’t. If you are in your 20s and looking to go to Sicily you need to stay here, you won’t regret it. My friend and I stayed in a shared girls room and had a great time. Just don’t sign up for the pasta night activities, food will take a long time to come.
Moriah — Google review
I stayed at this hotel for a few day and I was honestly impressed. The service is absolutely outstanding – everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You can really feel that hospitality is a top priority here. The facilities and amenities are fantastic – there’s everything you could possibly need, and even more. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the whole property is beautiful, spacious, and peaceful. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Palermo. It was a truly perfect stay, and I would love to come back again! ❤️

Use your money and find youself a nice hotel or private run guesthouse instead of supporting a chain! The beds in double rooms are super small you feel like falling out on the sides. There was a lot of noise outside, I could barely sleep. There where to much lights. At the door and the smoke detector was flashing all night. The house and area looks nice first but is crowded with kids and you feel like on a school trip. Room was clean and spacious enough. Staff was weirdly friendly in an unauthentic way like it’s just their brand. When you scratch the surface they get pissed. And we got the worst Cappuccini ever. First time in my life i couldn’t finish a coffee I bought. It’s okay when some of you’re staff can’t use the coffee machine but please let us know. Maybe nice for very young travellers after school or people who wanna feel like on school trip again. But only for half the price. For that hostel style you get it’s completely overpriced.
Yoshi T — Google review
Best hostel I visited so far, the staff is extra friendly and the social life is nice. I would recommend if you were traveling alone, it is an amazing place to meet people. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and the location is only a few minutes away from the city center
Saif H — Google review
The building is wonderful: big, pretty, well kept and lots of nice common areas (including rooftop terraces, swimming pool and well-stocked kitchen). The room itself was good, but the (3-person) bunk bed had no curtains and the room was barely cleaned in the meanwhile (cleaner came in but after there were still hairs on the floors). Also at night there was lots of outside noise (fireworks in the area, but also other guests partying outside). The hostel says they do social activities most nights, but I didn't experience that at all. The weekly wine tasting didn't happen (the host was on holiday), the quiz was cancelled (we only heard this after waiting 45 mins and then asking) and the pasta nights had no social aspect to them (you just order and pick it up). I very was disappointed with that, because in the past Ive experienced amazing events at Ostello Bello locations in Milano, so expected at least something happening also here. Luckily the staff and the guests were social and with my super nice roommates there was little need for more socialization. Upon arriving I thought 'this is the best ostello bello I've been to!', but I do take that back. Still, I had a nice stay and would recommend the place!
Feyona D — Google review
Definitely one of the best I have already stayed in (I have been to almost 90 countries). The staff and volunteers are super friendly and attentive. It is very clean, close to the city centre and has a lot of space. Believe it or not, but they leave a lot of food for guests to cook! The breakfast is also delicious. There is a pool as well! It is a nice place to meet cool people. It is perfect for Digital Nomads. I miss it already!
Luiz M — Google review
Some nice facilities (the pool) but most are very much not included. Triple bunk beds and no curtains is ok but not ideal. Quite far from the bus and train station. I was mocked by the staff for asking about the free drink insinuating I'm an alcoholic although it doesn't say anywhere that it's an alcoholic drink. I don't drink alcohol. Safe to say I took a very nice free drink from the breakfast bar. Pineapple juice :)

The Hotel Concordia is a great option for visitors looking for a quiet and dog-friendly hotel in Palermo. The welcoming staff make sure you have everything you need during your stay, and the close proximity to some of the city's best attractions makes it an ideal choice for anyone visiting this beautiful city.
Great experience for a 1-star hotel! ✨️ We stayed here for 4 nights and honestly, it was a lovely experience. 🩷 For a 1-star hotel, it exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely kind and attentive — they constantly checked in to see if we were okay or needed anything. The breakfast was surprisingly varied and very tasty, with the trays always being refilled promptly. The hotel is located near all the main tourist attractions, so there’s no real need to rent a car. You can easily explore Palermo on foot, which is a big plus for those who enjoy walking and discovering the city step by step. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a budget-friendly and well-located place with great service 🩷✨️

I only stayed one night and as a cheap stop over it was perfect. I had a single bed room and it was basic but was air-conditioned and clean. Window did not close properly and curtains are poor. Breakfast was lovely. Staff are helpful.
Lee B — Google review
Pros: lovely staff, good breakfast, good location, lift in building, secure hotel. Cons: the bathroom was disgusting, towels smelled and looked 20 years old. Dirty sheets, lumpy bed, pillows smelled so bad, I had to put my own towel over them to sleep. As mentioned by others, the windows are very thin and this is on a main street, so it's very noisy.
Deni T — Google review
We booked a room for October 2024. we booked a „Double or Twin Room“ that had the description „Features a balcony with views across Palermo's old town.“ Marked room amenities were mountain View, view of a sight, city view and terrace. We arrived by train and walked to the hotel. It’s a big house with different hotels on different floors. We got the keys to the room, looked for it by ourselves and it was a room with 4 beds, no balcony and the „view“ was a shaft, another window like 2m from us and barely any light. We walked to the reception and told the woman what’s wrong. She treated me like I was stupid and told me that I probably just looked at the pictures but that doesn’t mean that the booked room has the view and so on. I showed her my booking, she started with „I can’t read German“ so I changed the language on my phone so the app would be in English. I showed her the booking again and she just said that they don’t have any rooms like that available. I told her that that’s not ok, we paid for another room. She told us she needs to call her supervisor. They had a talk in Italian and she told us he would be there in an hour. We went to our room and waited for over an hour. We came back and of course the supervisor wasn’t there and she couldn’t tell us how long he would take. We then did exactly what they expected, we couldn’t waste more time and just left for the rest of the day, since we were only staying 1 night. I wouldn’t have been so mad if they had just admitted their mistake. They could’ve offered breakfast or a partial refund or really anything. But instead I was lied to and treated like I’m stupid. Honestly they could’ve just marketed the room as is from the beginning and I still would’ve booked it, but this treatment is unacceptable. The room we got was clean. 2 out of 5 lightbulbs were working. Sleeping there for 1 night was fine. The hotel is in walking distance to the city centre and the train station. You can book it, the price and the rooms are ok, but be aware that you might not get what you’ve booked and they won’t care

Very clean rooms with great location and breakfast with good variety of cakes, fruits, marmalades. The hotel has elevator and the hotelier were very polite and friendly the only downside to our room was the ac that didn't work so well

Hotel Concordia in Palermo is not a great choice overall. While its central location is convenient for walking around the city, it is a nightmare if you're driving due to limited parking options. The rooms have a mix of good and awful features. My bathroom, in particular, needed fixing – the shower cabin was very old, dirty, and had broken parts. On the plus side, the check-in process was okay.
Daniele C — Google review
Great location, kind staffs with service, very good breakfast.
MEI Y — Google review
The Hotel is in a great location, 10-15 minutes by foot from pretty much anyway in the historic centre of town. It is on a busy road and there is noise in the evenings. The hotel is on the fourth floor of the building. There’s a lift but it’s quite small and could be claustrophobic to some people. I found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a typical continental one with some lovely fresh melon. I was staying in Room 2, it’s quite a large room with high ceilings, everything that you need, including a comfortable bed. My issue with the bathroom is that there was a step up to get into it and I missed it a couple of times. There is WiFi but I found it to be relatively slow. Overall, the hotel provides good value for money.

Palermo Inn Boutique Hotel Bed e Brekfast Apartment is a charming accommodation situated in the heart of Palermo, just a short distance from major attractions like Palermo Cathedral and Fontana Pretoria. Visitors have praised the friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to provide useful tips for exploring the city.
A nice hotel with a beautiful atmosphere. The hotel room was nicely designed and matches the pictures. Good location, central and nice area. Surprisingly low noise level from outside or the sound/noise isolation was super good Good internet, room cleaning and incredibly nice staff. The breakfast had a very good selection of food to suit everyone's taste buds. There is no elevator, several stairs but the staff were helpful and always helped with the bags. The hotel's own taxi driver Alessio is very friendly, highly recommend him for anyone in need of a ride. The taxi cannot enter the narrow street and stops a bit away, many taxis park on the other side and you have to walk a little further while Alessio stops in the right place much closer

A really boutique hotel to stay at in downtown Palermo, very close to the market. To note, this is a very old building, renovated into a beautiful stylish hotel. We stayed on the fourth floor and it was all stairs, no elevator. The staff was very helpful with our luggage and with anything else we asked. They gave us free breakfast, which is also in another part of the building, although small space for breakfast, the breakfast is very good. Definitely would come again, though without children, preferably for convenience.

I had a great stay in Palermo at the Palermo Inn. The Inn was beautiful with great views and walking distance to the historic center. The staff was terrific - the restaurant was great. The only downside was that the bed was quite uncomfortable. It was only a few days so I was able to manage but they need to invest in some new mattresses and pillows.

Very nice structure, modern, elegant and effective, in the hearth of Palermo. To get there from the metro station, you go through the market, in a magical atmosphere. There is a trattoria nearby, open air. The sleep is great, the surroundings are very silent, atmospheric. The breakfast, unbelievably flavoured and abundant. The service, great. Definitely recommending, definitely wanting to get back there.

A very nice staff in the heart of Palermo, at the picturesque Mercato Capo. Excellent cannoli offered at the arrival and equally good breakfast with a varied offer for all tastes. Room was wide, clean and nice. Being in the historical area, we could only access by walking but parking was comfortably close by.

I have done a lot of travelling but never had this kind of experience!! Apart from this magical beautiful city of Palermo the hostel was just perfekt! City Center/ Train central station & bus to the airport just a couple of minutes by walk, lots of small shops and cafés just in the same street. A special thanks goes out to the workers/volunteers Mario, Murdy, Xuan Manuel and all the other guys ! ✊🏻

I recommend to just stay in another hostel in Palermo, you don't even have to book a more expensive one, there's lots of great ones in this price range. This place was so strange.. the only people working there are what feels like 20 year old boys who volunteer and that's exactly the vibe. They don't care or know about anything, they don't manage to keep the space clean and in the night they smoke weed and are noisy. I don't know. The location was great but thats it. Sorry!

The DOCTOR bill I got after staying there was more expensive than my night. I got horrible feet infections from the clogged and broken shower, even tho I was wearing flip flops (useless when the water is at your ankles), I can now barely walk let alone hike, my vacation is ruined because of this unsanitary hostel, I should have read the Google comments (i booked from booking), for years people have been complaining about the hygiene and nothing has changed, the manager needs to wake the f up before a health inspection shut that hole down. There is even talks of bed bugs, how dreadful ! No AC during a heat wave, doors broken, toilets broken, shower broken, elevator broken, floors wet from the clogged shower, the wifi doesnt reach every room... What the actual F !! The staff is nice but they should do something before being eventually unemployed after the place closes for health reasons. Just shameful. Cherry on the cake my vehicle was broken into in front of the hostel because the neighborhood sucks 🤌
Virginie C — Google review
The worst place I ve ever stayed (not more than 20' though). The pictures are unreal. There is no safety handle on the upper bed, and showing it on the pictures is a misinformation. Bed is tiny and shakey, and you could not move without keeping in mind not to fall. The ladder was slightly broken, the chairs in the balcony also, broken beer glass was on the floor of the balcony. The walls were dirty. Sinks and cutlery, showers, floor, and toilette dirty and flooded. To be honest, I was disgusted to get a shower. They had no key to provide, and they suggested ringing the bell where some of the guests could open. Bells were ringing at 23.30. All doors and windows were open with mosquitos flying around and weed/tobacco fumes entering the dorm. In the 20' I spent in there trying to reach the wifi to book somewhere decent to stay a bug bit me on the waist and was not the mosquito bite, it came from the bed while lying/sitting on it. Everything was open and mosquitos or fumes from tobacco and weed were entering the dorm. With 25 € I have stayed in dope dorms in Sicily. Better pay 35 and rent a room from abnb, either stay outdoors, if you search for decency and safety.
Vasiliki S — Google review
Staff are so friendly and helpful, location is close to everything and beds are cheap. But the shower is broken and one of the two toilets was out of service as well. So, we had to line up for one toilet. There was no AC in the room and we had to open the window, but the streets were so loud at night, I couldn't sleep at all, even though I wore earplugs and eye-covers. Double beds are so cheap and bad quality. Whenever I move, it makes a sound.
Ganbaatar T — Google review
We made a reservation the day before, but apparently the hostel was overbooked. Instead of just telling us that, they sent us to another hostel of the same owner, but that one didn't have place either! It's not nice to arrive in a city thinking you have a place to stay, only to be bluntly told you're gonna have to find another place. They obviously don't care at all about their customers. Service is non-existent

Bastione Spasimo Boutique Hotel is a hidden gem in Palermo, offering a tranquil retreat behind its historic walls. This 16th-century edifice has been beautifully renovated and features 15 rooms that exude authenticity and charm. The hotel's lushly planted grounds and salt-water swimming pool provide the perfect setting for relaxation after exploring the city. Guests praise the attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, including arranging special requests like birthday packages.
A stunningly curated boutique hotel walking distance from the majority of Palermo highlights. Invisible from the street, you enter an enchanted garden perfumed with jasmine and lemon in stunning planters surrounding the pool area. Check in is fast and professional. Our room had a large hot tub, multi choice shower and an array of very well chosen toiletries, a huge bed with high quality linens and stocked fridge. Breakfast has plenty of selection and is eaten with a view of the garden. Check out was smooth, and when I remembered 50kms away that I had left a pair of earrings in the safe Paolo the manager checked and called me back immediately to say they had them in the office. I am more than happy to recommend Bastione Spasimo and we shall return as it is the perfect base for short trips to Palermo.

This hotel is in ZTL zone in the 15th century bastione. It is decorated nicely, rooms are ok. The garden and swimming pool in the yard is beautiful. However, for the price you pay, you do not get private parking, there is only street parking with limited spaces especially in the evening. There are also multiple restaurants in front of the hotel, which open until very late night. “soundproofing” of the room is poor. What disappointed me most, is that they confirmed during check-in that they will pack our breakfast for 9am departure, and they completely forgot about it in the morning. Finally, to get out from hotel to main road, you need to drive through narrow pedestrian areas, which might be tricky. There are definitely better price/value options in Palermo, than this one.

Hidden behind large gates and a high wall in an area of Palermo that is in need of regeneration is an oasis of calm and refinement. This place effortlessly oozes style and refinement. We loved sleeping in a room with exposed brick and stone arches. The air conditioning was very necessary in July and worked perfectly. We loved staying here ... a stunning surprise. We ate at the local fish restaurant on the other side of the square. Easy walking to the all the main tourist sites in the city centre. It's definitely worth the risk.

We truly loved our stay at this beautiful small hotel in Palermo. We were a group of five friends and had an amazing time here. Our favorite part was the charming garden. It feels like a little botanical oasis, filled with wonderful plants, where we spent relaxing moments together. The location is also perfect, very convenient for exploring all the main attractions. We would be delighted to return and highly recommend this lovely place to anyone visiting Palermo.

My wife and I stayed in the Bastione Spasimo for 3 nights to finish up our trip in Sicily. It is in a bit of a greitty part of town near the water, but once you walk through the gates it is a bastion ( HAHA) of serenity in the middle of the busy city. Our room and the pool were great to return to after hot days exploring the city. The service was amazing and all of the staff were incredibly helpful in organizing tours and restaurants for us. They even brought us a cake for our anniversary. What a nice surprise. I would definitely stay there again if we return to Palermo and I will certainly recommend it to my friends.

What a lovely hotel! You enter the hotel premise and you’re immediately transferred to a different world. A small but beautiful garden, spacious rooms and the whole hotel has a very lovely vibe. The breakfast was also great. There is a small swimming pool and tiny jacuzzi. I booked a massage - the hotel itself doesn’t have a spa facility. The massage was 70 euros and it was ok. The only downside is that there was a street party outside and it was very loud at night. But all in all, highly recommended.

Beautiful, charming hotel in the center of Palermo. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view of the Teatro. Our breakfast was brought to our room every morning and was delicious. The staff was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this property.

Exceptional location but definitely needs a face lift. Very charming hotel and the staff were the shining star of this hotel. The cracked sinks..wonky shower heads, terrible beds and ac units that froze up and wouldn't wouldn't work, are the blight of this hotel. Staff did offer us a complimentary glass of wine while they looked at repairing the ac unit but it's beyond repair.... Breakfast was except with fresh pastries, fruit and coffee. I'm torn on whether I would recommend. Staff 5 star..but they're working in a 2 star hotel. No parking...nearby parking is 25 euro per day.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful! We stayed there three days on the beginning of our Sicily trip and two days on the back end! Both times were exceptional! It is not the Ritz nor the other hotels of this magnitude! It was what I wanted to experience! This was a small family owned hotel in the middle of the Palermo day and night life! We were across the street from the opera house and on the plaza with many restaurants and shops! The location was perfect for us. Even though one evening was a little loud ! We did not mind it as the kids were doing a dance in the street! It was fantastic. The breakfast was delicious! You had a choice to eat in your room or the community room with others! All the pastries were fresh and delicious!! The meats and breads were superb! You can order eggs as well if you wished! Hot coffee, cappuccino, tea, and juice were also available. The staff was amazing! Let me introduce you to Christian, Pietro, Francesca, Fernando and two others whom I unfortunately do not have their names! They made the stay! Their kindness and hospitality went beyond any five star hotel I’ve stayed in! It was like staying with family! We were greeted in such a friendly manner and treated like this all five days! They all should be noticed because I feel they are the ones who keep the hotel going! The owners should be proud to have such a dedicated staff! I would stay here again. I miss them too. Yes, I miss you all! If you stay here I know you will or be disappointed. If you want a Hilton or a Ritz then go there! This hotel is true Italian family owned small hotel! You should experience the hospitality of this hotel and its staff! Mary Anne Cristello Colorado, USA

Right across from the Piazza Massimo and the opera house. Location is great for sightseeing and shopping. Try to get a room facing the piazza with a balcony. Unforgettable. We stayed in two different rooms and these were far better. Breakfast served in your room with lots of choices. Staff is great and organized all of our transportation. BIG flight of stairs when entering. We had help getting our luggage down. Super hotel!.

We had a delightful stay at the Massimo Plaza Hotel. The service staff was super friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Palermo as a tourist as it is centrally located and right next to the theatre. We especially enjoyed the breakfast which was served in a private and cozy atmosphere in the living room of the hotel.

Location is totally perfect and you are close to everything. Despite being in the city center it’s not noisy. The rooms are very poorly cleaned and it feels like the vacuum cleaner has not been used for a long time. The fact you have to have breakfast in your room contributes to being unclean when they don’t clean properly. Staff is friendly and smiley and breakfast good. Just don’t like to eat it the room.

The small boutique hotel is well located in the middle of the old town, in walking distance of the main sightseeings. It is a place where one can enjoy genuine Sicilian setting and hospitality. The rooms are all comfortable and well equipped. We had the Superior double room, which provided us with plenty of space, beautiful light and authentic Italian decoration as well as a superb view on the theatre and its square. Bedding is comfortable. The breakfast is generous, offering products of good quality; it is usually served in the rooms but can also be served in the small lounge room upon request. The hotel is quite old and would benefit from some refurbishment; notably the carpet around windows in the bedrooms and the bathrooms are in need of renovation to do justice to the four stars evaluation. Also the lounge room is well equipped but setting and furniture are old fashioned and are not inviting; some basic renovation and modernisation would easily make this space welcoming. The location is 5/5, and the service is above average. However, the minibar is quite expensive, unlike other places where it was free or partly free. The breakfast is small, and the rooms are okay. Overall, the hotel is quite expensive, and the only reason to stay is the location based on cost.

This is a small hotel in an excellent location. You can easily walk to many famous locations. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are amazing. We paid extra for the daily breakfast service and we were extremely satisfied with the quality and selection of items. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is great as it is close to the city centre but overall it is an ordinary hotel. Our room had a particular strong smell that wasn’t nice and it was quite dark as the windows were opening to an internal space. We didn’t try breakfast there but instead went to nearby coffee bars. There wasn’t any particular service that makes it special and they don’t have free parking so we had to take our car somewhere else which wasn’t convenient

Beautiful Boutique Hotel. Great Location. Front desk, especially Valentina was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast buffet was delicious and Rosy (our server) was the BEST!! The only issue was our room faced the street and it could get loud into the early morning hours.
Linda B — Google review
So, this hotel has some definite pluses and minuses. The pluses: The room is clean and large. The wifi is good. The location is central. There's a decent shower. Front desk staff really tries. The minuses: The thermostat doesn't actually do anything (my room was rather warm). The location is VERY loud at night -- bring earplugs or noise cancelling headphones. I got woken up by drunk screaming arguments from the plaza in the middle of the night two nights. You get one towel at a time -- not fantastic if it's 36c out and you want to shower twice a day. Hotel policies are strange -- it was really difficult as a non-EU resident to get an invoice confirming stay, very unusual for an internationally-branded hotel. (Again, the front desk staff tried, it seems like they are just not set up for international business travelers).

Hotel room was spacious especially for European standards and the bed was comfortable. We had an issue with hot water which was resolved while we were there but we did have to take 1 night of cold showers. Location is very very walkable.

I had an wonderful time staying at this hotel. The staff is nice and helpful, my room was large and very well equipped and housekeeping is doing a fantastic job! Special thanks to Valentina for being so welcoming 🙌🏽

The hotel is very new and modern. It's well located in the heart of Palermo, very close/walking distance to all the major sights. There are a lot of great restaurants and markets around to enjoy. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very plentiful with lots of both sweet and savoury options. The AC wasn't very powerful. It wasn't an issue for us since we stayed in spring time but might be more of an issue in the summer.

What a wonderful stay! spacious, modern room with patio. helpful and friendly staff, always willing to share sightseeing ideas and even helped me make a couple of phone calls in Italian. The breakfast was delicious with fabulous variety. The kitchen staff were so attentive, and went above and beyond to create a vegan breakfast for my daughter, Location was excellent - close to shops and restaurants.

Nestled in a charming rowhouse, Albergo Verdi offers a cozy retreat in the heart of Palermo. Just a short stroll from the Oratory of the Rosary of St. Cita, this modest hotel features comfortable rooms equipped with TVs and an inviting bar for relaxation after a day of exploring. Guests rave about the friendly and accommodating staff who go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable.
The location was perfect. The owners were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable for us. The shower was small, but the water pressure was excellent. The water temperature could be as cold or hot as you'd like it. The breakfast was good. But beware, there is not an elevator. There are probably thirty stairs up, which was not a problem for us, but just a heads up. Although when we were leaving they lowered out luggage off the balcony, so that was nice to not have to carry them down. I imagine that would probably would have lifted them up too if needed. We would return here and we would recommend.
Sandy H — Google review
It is definately not a bad place. Yes it is relatively loud but come on... we are in the city center. Have you ever been to a city center that is quiet? My husband managed to sleep and I used earplugs as I'm sound sensitive. Albergo is super close to many turistic places and also has great restaurants around. The system of leaving key at the reception was very odd and I was scared that someone will come in but after a while I got used to it.
Patrycja S — Google review
The location was the only thing that stood up. You are actually in the very center of historic Palermo. But that’s unfortunately all you can enjoy. Because you must expect: No parking. No elevator. Very noisy. Old small room and balcony. Friendly hosts but this can not save the day. It’s very expensive for what you are getting,,..

This hotel ruined my summer vacation. impossible to sleep in the evening because the windows are not insulating and they overlook the armored alley of restaurants/bars. In addition, the manager wakes up around 6:30 a.m. and speaks very loudly with her employees, which wakes up all the people sleeping in their rooms. and she also has a dog that barks from time to time :). In addition, the beds are rotten and the smell in the pillows is too dirty and the hallway smells of disgusting cooking which enters the rooms. I ended up getting sick on the last day of my vacation because of the fatigue of not sleeping in the evening or in the morning. I do not recommend this hotel at all maybe sleeping outside is better than sleeping in this hotel .

Palazzo Cartari is a luxurious hotel located in Palermo, offering top-notch amenities such as a fitness center, private parking, shared lounge, and a restaurant. The 4-star hotel also features a bar and provides services like airport transfers, room service, and free WiFi. Guests have praised the staff's kindness and the cleanliness, beauty, and comfort of the rooms. The hotel offers high-end facilities including spa pool suites with personalized welcome.
The hotel is located at the very heart of Palermo city center. Within 10 minutes walking distance you can reach all the important monuments. The rooms are recently renovated and the bathroom is just excellent. The breakfast is very rich in a cosy restaurant at the ground floor. All these are easy to figure out from the map and by studying all the photos and info included in the various reviews. What might be harder to spot is the staff of the hotel that places heart and soul to make your stay truly memorable. I felt as if they already knew all my habits - always anticipating my needs. This took me completely by surprise.

Great location walking distance to restaurants and cathedral, palace. Rooms are modern although the bathroom is quite cramped even though we had booked a suite. Breakfast options were good overall although the restaurant felt a bit cramped. Service - we had booked airport pickup option as it was advertised during the booking. They didn't (forgot to) charge us taxi fare when we checked out in the bill. We had left the luggage during check out as our flights were later in the evening and when we came back to pick up our luggage to go the airport they asked to pay for the taxi fare in cash. we explained we didn't have cash and were happy to pay them via card like any other hotel charges and they can settle it with the taxi driver. We were getting late for our airport uber and receptionist wouldn't take card, called the manager but they wouldn't take card either and insisting on going to the ATM to get cash and leave cash with the hotel. pretty absurd requirement as most hotels that provide airport pick up service will add it to the hotel bill and accept total payment via card vs. holding us back. eventually we had to do bank transfer to the taxi guy directly at the risk of almost missing our return flight. this is not how 4-star hotel service should sort out issues hence 2-star review

What an amazing hotel! Everything is flawless here including the modern fresh clean room, staff and the location is perfect! You are no more than a 5 minute walk away from anything you want to see and go to. We booked the jacuzzi room and was a lifetime experience for us, absolutely amazing and worth every penny! You won’t find a hotel so well located which offers a quiet night’s sleep too, no outside noise at all as it’s perfectly tucked away in the corner of an off road. You can’t ask for more! We didn’t opt for breakfast but will definitely give it a go next time we stay here. We will be back! Thank you to all the staff for hosting us.

Beautiful hotel in a nice neighbourhood (vibrant and safe). Room was charming and bedding was super comfortable! Shower did leak a bit. Anastasia, from the hotel team, was lovely and took great care of us ! Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Only downside is that hotel is located in a ZTL, so you need to make sure the hotel registers your vehicles plate for the whole length of your stay.

This hotel is pure perfection. The location, the staff, the rooms, and the cleanliness just amazing. I recommend this hotel to all. You will love it. It is within ten minutes from train station and the historic section of Palermo. The price is also excellent. Bravissimo!!!

We arrived in Palermo with a bad hand, first hot el that we booked didn’t work out.. and this location immediately assisted in providing us a few nights to stay. Not only didn’t they help in a time of need, they also assisted us with a vehicle issue out in town. So grateful for this hotel, their customer service and hospitality. I would come back 10 fold times to this location.
Thomas R — Google review
Location is just about perfect and the staff is incredible. The room is small but average size by European standards. Very good breakfast buffet and it is right around the corner of a pedestrian street with lots of restaurants and bars. The bathroom is a little cramped but is very modern and is equipped with a bidet. The one really odd thing is the shower in the middle of the bedroom. This quirk is the major reason for the four star rating because everything else is very good. We give the hotel 4 clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

I stayed at Palazzo Cartari in July 2025. My sister was also staying in town on the same dates, at a different hotel. While going up to my room with my sister one evening to pick up the bag she left in my room, one of the receptionists, an older woman, started insisting that I can't invite my sister to my room unless we provide her passport. My sister didn't have her passport with her, so the receptionist proceeded to have a shouting match in the lobby to insist that she will not allow us to go up to the room. She was rude and aggressive. When I asked to get in touch with the hotel manager, the same receptionist told me that she will not provide the contact information for the manager. She insisted that if I wanted to complain about how she behaved or anything else, that I must send it to an email that she can access. She said that even if she provided the contact information for the manager, that he will not respond to me. When I asked for the manager to get in touch with me, she proceeded to have another shouting session in the lobby. It made things a bit uneasy, because from that night, my sister didn't feel comfortable coming with me to the hotel because she was worried we might get yelled at. It made the entire vacation less pleasant than it could be. In the room, please note that the restrooms don't have blinds or solid curtains. The curtain is made of mesh and you can see through it very clearly. Some of the rooms are directly facing apartments across the street. If you don't like the feeling of being watched when you go to the restroom, you might want to consider this. I also reserved a room with a sauna, which I paid extra for. But in my room, the sauna couldn't heat above 70 degrees. It was hot, but not hot enough. After an hour of consecutive heating, realizing it was not going to get hot, I gave up and turned it off. Had I known this was the case, I would have gotten a less expensive room without a sauna. The room was clean and renovated, but for the price, I expected better service and operational amenities.

Great location. Intimate, with beautiful communal areas. The rooftop is stunning, especially in the evenings. The breakfast, with room service every morning, was a personal favourite. The team is super helpful, with amazing communication, and any issues were resolved right away. They check in with you daily for your breakfast preferences. An oasis of calm conveniently located in the historic old town of Palermo, I know where to return to when I next visit this fabulous city. Hotel Spasimo is peaceful, spacious and offers excellent facilities including both indoor and outdoor pools. The staff here were kind, helpful and efficient with a friendly and relaxed manner. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. It’s the perfect Palermo stay.

We had the best stay. The facilities and staff were all so nice. It is a hidden gem in a really great area with some lovely restaurants and bars nearby but the hotel is very peaceful. We loved the indoor heated pool and I’m sure the outdoor would be perfect in the hot summer. The beds were very comfy and rooms are very big and nicely decorated. The one slight improvement would be to have more seats outside for breakfast as they were often all taken when we went to have breakfast outside, but this is just a small thing and does not overshadow a really great stay. We will definitely be back again.

My partner and I traveled from NYC to Palermo for the first time, and we could not be more happy with our decision to stay at Spasimo Hôtellerie. Prior the the trip, they answered all questions we had and made sure we had all the information that we needed. When we arrived, all of the staff was extremely welcoming, and treated us with so much kindness. The hotel itself was beautiful! Everything was very clean, and the spaces were comfortable and designed very well. The breakfast in the morning on the rooftop was so amazing! The best part was that you could cool off in their stunning pool & yard area after a hot day of walking around. The location is absolutely perfect- walking distance to everything that you need or want to do. We will definitely be coming back— this hotel and their people are a true gem of Palermo!

We spent our last night of our Sicilian trip at Spasimo Hôtellerie, and it was the perfect way to treat ourselves. The hotel is right in the city center, within walking distance of markets, busy streets, and main sights, yet it feels like an oasis amid the chaos. From the moment we arrived, service was exceptional: they helped with our suitcases, offered to park our car, and welcomed us with granita while we relaxed by the pool. They constantly brought water and offered coffees, making us feel very cared for. We stayed in one of the large lofts, which had two queen beds, and two bathrooms — very spacious and comfortable. The beds were excellent, and the room beautifully presented. Breakfast was flexible — we could choose the time and items, which they ordered from a local bakery, letting us sample a wide range of Sicilian specialties. Amenities were good: a warm indoor pool open 24/7, a saltwater outdoor pool with loungers, a small gym with basic equipment, and a rooftop breakfast area with lovely views. The hotel is set in a converted old factory, giving it a unique, stylish vibe. Overall, a wonderful, peaceful retreat in the heart of Palermo — highly recommended.

B&B I Cinque Continenti, established in February 2017, aims to provide a friendly and helpful experience for its guests. While some visitors have noted the absence of a bidet and the lack of room restoration during their stay, they generally praise the basic yet comfortable rooms with excellent mattresses. Despite being located near a noisy pub, guests can still easily find rest and relaxation at this B&B.
They are fake and not really serious

Booking should not allow reservations in such a mess. Terrible place, everything is dirty, it's cold and there are suffocating fumes in the bathroom, the door to the room does not provide security. (Translated by Google) Unfortunately, I hadn't read the reviews. Horrible place, the only positive thing was the location, quite in the centre. Very dirty room, unusable air conditioning as there was mold between the fins. Wardrobe all broken and full of mould, blankets dirty with I don't know what, and above all it's better if I don't know. In the bathroom, you couldn't take a decent shower, you had to get out to reactivate the light which went off every 30 seconds. Leave it alone, look for something else (Original) Purtroppo, non avevo letto le recensioni. Lasciate stare, cercate altro

(Translated by Google) “An absolute disgrace: avoid like the plague!” Scandalous stay to say the least. We were promised a minimum of daily cleaning, but in three days no one was seen: rooms left unkept, bathrooms filthy enough to suggest a serious health risk. We pointed out the inconvenience and were told disdainfully that "this is a hostel" - too bad it was advertised as a B&B. Falsehood and mockery. The only real presence? The one to collect the tourist tax. Then they disappeared into thin air. Ah, I forgot: under the rooms, a continuous racket day and night. Sleeping was a challenge. A terrible experience, managed by arrogant and disinterested people. Palermo deserves better. This place is a stain on the beauty of the city. Shameful. (Original) “Una vergogna assoluta: da evitare come la peste!” Soggiorno a dir poco scandaloso. Falsità e presa in giro. Vergognoso.

(Translated by Google) We arrived at this sort of "b&b" at first glance from the outside you can tell it's quite dated but we overlooked it. As soon as we arrive we realize that there is no one there, we call and they tell us that they will arrive soon in 10/15 minutes. Inside, everything was old in very bad condition and dated, broken wardrobes, mold in the walls, handkerchiefs made of blood in the bidet drain, bubble bath and shampoo already used by other people (large non-disposable bottles), blocked sink, bathroom drain didn't work well, TV it didn't work, no receipt for the money given in the structure, rude and grumpy cleaning lady, owners never seen except at the checkin, doors in terrible condition, rusty and almost falling, very uncomfortable bed that made noise at your every slightest movement, I think everyone the furniture was taken from the street and placed there, I couldn't give any other explanation, it smells of mold everywhere, the kitchen made me sick just by looking at it, the fridge was very dirty, the kitchen equipment was almost non-existent, breakfast had never been seen, the whole structure was very dirty overall , they gave us a towel/shower sheet and it was never changed, a non-existent shower mat, it should be noted that the linen in both the bathroom and the bed were all of different colors and those that we can commonly find at home were not there the classic sheets that a person would expect in a structure, zero guest care. The only positive thing about all this inconvenience was the location very close to everything. Needless to say, overall, I don't recommend it. Horrible. Inutile dire comunque nel complesso che lo sconsiglio. Orribile.

BB22 Bed & Breakfast is a chic property located in a 15th-century palace in the heart of Palermo. The boutique-style B&B offers sophisticated rooms with free Wi-Fi, individually decorated to reflect contemporary and traditional styles. Guests can enjoy an oasis of calm in the chaotic city, with bright rooms filled with design details. The hotel also provides unique experiences such as onsite cooking classes where guests can learn to create Sicilian pasta and other local dishes followed by a glass of Sicilian wine.
A great boutique B&B in a fantastic location. Owned by a well travelled stylish Milanese lady, the place is very well renovated with high quality beds, a/c, terrace and very good breakfast. 3 min walk from fantastic bars and restaurants with good vibes and food - both for younger and older people. 5 min walk to the port area including the newly developed yachting area. Patti and her really professional reception manager lady both have reliable bar and restaurant recommendations including Ferramenta bar & apero (40 m from BB22), Mercede and Molo Sant’ Erasmo (both yummy restaurants). They also have access to Daniele, a great guide who speaks good English to show you around the historic sites including legendary open-air markets. Stay 3 nights, Palermo is worth it.

We stayed for two nights in the Bergamotto room. The B&B itself was stylish, but very comfortable. Our room had a great little balcony overlooking a garden with far sea views. The location was superb, within 10 minutes walk of everything in old Palermo, including sights and great restaurants. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Thank you for a great stay!

The B&B was pleasant and conveniently located. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the quality/price ratio was good. During our stay in early July 2022, we had the entire apartment to ourselves. Although we did notice a bit of dust on the bed, it was a minor issue that didn't detract from our positive experience. We would certainly consider returning in the future.

Probably one of the nicest places to stay in Palermo. Everything was pretty smooth, from our arrival to our departure, and the room itself was really nice and spacious. The B&B is located in a nicer and a bit more charming part of Palermo, and is within walking distance of many of the key sights

Nestled in the vibrant Castellammare Vucciria district of Palermo, Palazzo Liberty Unique Hotel by Geocharme offers a prime location just a short stroll from iconic landmarks like Fontana Pretoria and Palermo Cathedral. This elegant 4-star hotel features air-conditioned rooms equipped with complimentary WiFi and private bathrooms, ensuring comfort during your stay. Guests can unwind at the on-site bar or explore the bustling streets nearby.
Definitely book a room in this hotel if you want to explore the city of Palermo. It is strategically located in the city center, near the market, near restaurants, near some of the most interesting attractions of the city. On top of that you are very close to a municipal parking lot where most probably you will find a parking spot if you happen to travel by car. The hotel is new, the rooms are very comfortable and continuously air conditioned something that is extremely useful in the summer. The breakfast options are a lot with some traditional options like the canolli siciliani and the possibility to have a typical Italian coffee (espresso or cappuccino).
Avgeris T — Google review
This place is not even close to a three star. Service is poor: they really don’t want to help you. Several of the rooms in our group smelled like sewage: the front desk told us to flush the toilets 4-5 times an hour. No water for guests-they actually refused to even fill up water bottles. The only elevator was broken one day. And there is trash and cig butts all over near the front entrance. And I won’t even tell you about the super loud noise right in front of the hotel every night until 2 am. Stay away—it is a joke. In response to owner--send us some fabulous pictures of your "bar," a joke. I never mentioned mold, I said SEWAGE, so you clearly didn't take the time to read what I said. And filling up a water bottle--is that a big deal for you? I repeat, STAY AWAY

This was honestly one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. There were no slippers provided in the room, and when we asked for earplugs, the curly-haired staff member on the night shift told us they had run out and suggested we go out and buy them ourselves. I don’t think that should be the guest’s responsibility — the hotel should handle it, or at the very least, try to help. He was unhelpful and dismissive the entire time. We were also told that the restaurant couldn’t be booked in advance, but when we arrived, it was fully booked and we were turned away. This just added to the frustration. As for the room — we stayed on the third floor facing the street, and it was incredibly noisy all night. The windows weren’t double-glazed, just thin glass, and the walls were paper-thin. We could hear other guests slamming doors and noise from neighboring rooms constantly. The one positive was the grey-haired staff member — he was super kind and helpful Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here — especially if you value comfort, quiet, or decent service.

Marileta M — Google review
During our Italy Tour this hotel was our last stop which is in the heart of Palermo. The room was decent but I wish they had a full length mirror in the room. The complimentary breakfast was subpar and could use a little bit more options such as Hardboiled eggs. As this hotel is in the busy streets of Palermo, the busy streets are heard nearby and I believe an apartment was by us. I was awaken by the locals on the balcony of their home chatting away at 0300 in the morning. There is a pub called Shelby right across the street where you can enjoy people watching and car/mopeds watching galore.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful decor, clean rooms, but we had a problem with unpleasant odors in the room. We were in a room with no windows and only a skylight: it was impossible to open the window, and therefore impossible to get rid of the sewer smell. The staff still tried to help us and put in products. But the products + the bad odor + no ventilation: it made the air unpleasant. For those who like very, very hard mattresses, you'll be served. Plus point: valet parking service, which means you don't have to worry about your car (€25 per night). Breakfast is quite good and varied.

If you're looking for a relaxed, unfussy Palermo hotel with free breakfast, a sauna and terrace, look no further than Hotel Giardino Inglese. It's set in an old building near Via della Liberta, and is 2.7 km from the 12th-century palace Castello della Zisa and 2.5 km from the venerable Norman Palace.
I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Giardino Inglese, and I can wholeheartedly say it exceeded my expectations in all the right ways. This boutique hotel combines charm, comfort, and convenience in a way that makes it a standout choice for anyone visiting Palermo. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the hotel deserves special mention. The location is another major plus: nestled within walking distance of the city center and with a bus stop just around the corner, it offers easy access to all that Palermo has to offer while still providing a calm and relaxing retreat from the bustle of the city. Breakfast may not be as elaborate as in larger hotel chains, but it is perfectly well-rounded and satisfying, with everything one could need to start the day. The true highlight, however, is the staff. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, they went out of their way to assist with any questions or requests, making the experience feel personalized and warm. I stayed in a garden view room, which turned out to be an absolute delight. Not only was it quiet, but it also overlooked a stunning park, adding a serene, almost storybook quality to the mornings and evenings. The only minor disappointment was that the jacuzzi was temporarily out of order during May 2025, with plans to reopen around June or July. While I didn’t get to enjoy it, I can imagine it would be a fantastic bonus during the warmer months. In short, I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in Palermo.

It was ok---we had a suite which was very retro(maybe dated?)but I loved the veranda off the living room. Lovely afternoon sun. Parking we thought was included but not and you had to walk blocks to park. Breakfast was basically out of eggs and meats by 7:30. Coffee was good. No amenities like a gym of any kind(or maybe we missed it?)and front desk was pleasant but could not offer stamps or to mail something for us. Pillows were absolutely the worst. Area is nice and location near shopping and restaurants.

The best part of this hotel is the breakfast and Onofrio. Although a little chaotic Onofrio is a golden star taking amazing care of his guests. He truly goes above and beyond. A rotation of fresh, home made Sicilian cakes and pasteries were the breakfast highlight. For folks who prefer a savory breakfast the options are a little limited but the kitchen staff are always available to make you some fresh toasties, eggs and bacon. Sadly there were no slippers, bathrobes nor lotion :( but tbf i never asked. They could do with not replacing the soap everyday for environmental sustainability reasons.

Palermo Centrale is a bustling transportation hub that offers easy access to the city and its surrounding areas. Visitors can embark on guided tours, such as a 5-day exploration of Palermo and nearby Segesta and Erice, or a 3-day excursion to Catania, Taormina, and other coastal destinations. For those traveling by train, the Trains in Sicily page provides comprehensive information on routes and schedules, including connections to Palermo airport.
Sadly, during our visit, the exterior of Palermo Centrale station was under restoration. Other than that, it was a very easy station to navigate and find your train. It was also clean.

The quickest way to get out of this city! Palermo is not worth your time or energy. The station itself is very busy and full of police and military and a McDonald’s. It’s serviced by international busses and local and long distance trans. Go to Catania instead
Caïna V — Google review
Very nice train station, historical building, veeeery clean. Easy to get around, platforms easy to reach, clear information about trains. Otherwise, everything you can expect from a central train station :) But wait, there is more... There is one gem that I must mention: There is a small museum at the station, in the right corridor leading to the platforms. ***The access is free!*** It shows a piece of ancient history of the area, and details of a battle that took place there in 4th century BC. Very interesting, well arranged, not just a bunch of poster displays, but quite a number of artifacts on a display as well. Unfortunately, descriptions are in Italian only, which I am still trying to learn :), but it is easy to translate things nowadays, or you have QR codes to the English version. Definitely worth visiting when you have some spare time waiting for a train. I really recommend. My respect and kudos to the people who came up with the brilliant idea for the museum here.

good connection to Palermo airport, lots of possibilities how to buy tickets- tap&tap right at the platform 10, ticket machines, ticket desk or online. Train departs every half hour-hour, lasts 49mon -1h2min. There is Mcdonalds inside the Station area and lots of caffes and bars around.

Was dreading coming here but it’s really fine. I had to wait over an hour for a train and although it’s not the best equipped station I’ve been in, it had coffee shop where you could buy snacks for train and contrary to what others have said there are what looks like very new bathroom facilities - spotlessly clean and better than many I’ve been in. It’s not the prettiest place but it didn’t feel intimidating at all during the day and the staff at both ticket kiosk and toilet were very nice and helpful. The information screens are accurate and easy to understand, and there are announcements in English. Clearly money is being spent and it will improve over next few years.

This is the most disorganised train station you'll ever use. Just because it says the train is at platform 10 it doesn't mean that's where it will be. It might be 9, 8, 3. They'll change it whenever they'll feel like it. This never happened to me in any other country. That's what happens when you hire just about any person. Disgraceful.
Alex — Google review
Clean, safe and welcoming station area. A McDonald's that opens at 10am whilst anther cafe franchise is open earlier. Perfectly good place to wait for transport, meet friends and hang out. Bus station is next door with onward links to other places including coach shuttle to airport that at the time of writing was €6

NH Palermo is a no-nonsense, family-run hotel in Palermo, Sicily. The accommodation offers free Wi-Fi and a meeting area, as well as an outdoor pool and restaurant.
Our first time in Palermo. Very comfortable hotel, cheerful and helpful staff especially Martina and Leo in the restaurant. Great pool spoiled by very loud pop music in the poolside seating area. Overall a very good stay, thank you.
Alastair B — Google review
Overall, the hotel is a nice environment, but there are definite drawbacks which would prevent us from staying here again (we’re actually leaving earlier than planned). The biggest issue is the in room climate controls. While there is a thermostat in each room, allowing you to change the temperature, no matter how low you set it, the coldest the room will ever get is 23°C (~74°F). And, as many are likely to agree, this is simply too warm, especially when trying to sleep. Also, as I said, this is as cold as it CAN get… during the day, it gets as high as 25°C (~77°F) in the room, presumably because the AC cannot keep up with the heat & humidity of a Sicilian summer. It would be great if the hotel disclosed this, but they do not, which is very misleading. For this reason alone, we would never stay here again, and cannot recommend this hotel. Along with the rooms being too hot, the prices for food & drinks at this location are higher than the quality supports. Regarding cleanliness, the bathroom misses the mark, due to lots of stains in the toilet and tub (which leave both appearing dirty, even if they aren’t). Very disappointing. There are a few good things about the hotel, though, such as the location, the pool, and the friendliness of the staff. The hotel excels in these areas, but again, they do not make up for the fact that one experiences restless nights trying to sleep in hot rooms. End result: I do not recommend this hotel, nor would I ever stay here again.

Our room was small but perfectly formed with everything we needed. What let's this place down is the service. The breakfast was average. The coffee machines were not working either day we stayed. The produce itself was poor with very little choice. The pool area is beautiful. Plenty of towels and beds. However the service around the Poole is extremely poor and expensive. Two soft drinks (that took an hour to receive) were 13 euros. The food was really poor too. No care or time taken on taste, or presentation. This place is a useful stop in Palermo but stay room only. Go around the corner for street food for breakfast instead.

Paolo was fantastic - he helped us while sitting by the pool and also in the evening with cocktails. The hotel is a perfect location, clean and safe. Their food is also fresh and delicious. Constantino makes an amazing espresso martini as well, one of the best we have ever had!

1st night at the hotel caught a cold as they could not close the a/c in the room. Their English was at basic level. I asked for a kettle but was not possible to get one. I asked twice for tea in my room and they forwarded the request to the bar then the restaurant then go the reception. As for the cleanliness in the bathroom I"ve seen worst but not in a 4* hotel

Great hotel, rooms have a lot of space, pool is very nice with good music playing all the time. The hotel staff is 10/10, always with a smile on their faces and ready to help. Shout out to Martina and Leopoldo that at breakfast time treated us always so nice!

Nice hotel, clean rooms, comfort beds. Breakfast nice, big choice of pastry, salads, cold cuts. Pool area is nice with lots of sunbeds. Location is 15min walk to city, but the area around the hotel is unfortunately not really nice, other than that this hotel is a good choice for couples or families.

Paolo, a bartender at the NH Hotel is amazing. He was attentive to our needs from the moment we arrived and until we left. The hotel has beautiful views of the sea and the breakfast is a large variety of fruit, pastries, eggs, and breakfast meats.

The Mercure Palermo Centro is a streamlined hotel located in the heart of Palermo, offering simple yet modern rooms with free Wi-Fi. Situated near attractions such as the Regional Archeological Museum Antonio Salinas and the grandiose 19th-century Politeama Garibaldi Theater, this 4-star accommodation provides soundproof rooms and amenities like a children's menu and playground for families.
Overall, we were happy with our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the decor lacked charm. We especially enjoyed the breakfast—everything was of high quality.
Ozan Y — Google review
The hotel is good overall. The rooms are clean and functional, although a bit worn-out and in need of renovation. The location was good, and with parking spots on the street. The breakfast was good, with various options. Staff was kind and helpful.

We stayed here for a few days, when booked it did not say the hotel was in two different buildings. We ended up upgrading to stay in the main building where everything was, more less a preference. Rooms were clean for the most part. Service, the entire time we stayed only one girl greeted when us when she was in. I wish I remembered her name. She was so kind! Location was good, lots to do around , and see.

Our story: We were on a cruise when we had an emergency requiring my wife to be hospitalized. Our port agent set us up in this hotel. The reception was welcoming and sympathetic. We had to switch rooms to accommodate incoming guests and they made the transfer easy and moved out luggage. A big surprise was the restaurant. Our dinners were very good and the chef surprised us with a special treat each day. The service and food is exceptional.
Mark — Google review
Disappointment. Reception lady Nadia was just rude, as if she was punished by working there- she doesn't even pronounce full sentences when talking to guests. Rooms not bad, but way below the usual Mercure standard. Mold in the shower, dirty carpet (we requested cleaning it- didn't get cleaned). Surprisingly breakfast area wasn't so full in the peak season, so we could eat comfortably. Good location. Overall overpriced, and definitely not living up to the declared standard.
Alicja B — Google review
Spent a week in Palermo at the Residenza around the corner from the hotel - massive room, all the facilities one needs. The lift was defective at the end of our stay, but the hotel staff got it fixed the next day, and were always helpful with our needs. One minor criticism though: the one evening I wanted to have a quiet dinner, but a large tour group had taken over the entire dining room and were very loud and obnoxious, so I asked the staff if I could sit in the bar area and have dinner there. However, they refused to accommodate me, even though they agreed the dining room was not a nice place to be at the time. Some flexibility with the rules would have been nice in this situation.
Nakkiran S — Google review
The hotel has good rooms and a good location, but it lacks maintenance. There is mold behind the towel rack. The bar service is good.
Marcos L — Google review
I chose the hotel with the best reviews in the price category that I was willing to spend. The hotel is very well located, simple, the furniture is worn and outdated, there are no minimal toiletries in the bathroom typical for a 4-star hotel. The bed is uncomfortable and only one card given to unlock the door. The shower is so small that I barely had room in it, the breakfast unspectacular. The staff is could be more friendly and the cleaning in the room although good, is incomplete. On the balcony table there is an ashtray with cigarette butts from previous customers even if it was a non-smoker room. Overall, the services are mediocre.

Albergo Athenaeum is a comfortable and luxurious hotel located in the old town of Palermo. This establishment features free breakfast and great views of Ballaro Street Market, making it perfect for tourists who want to enjoy the city's historic sites. The downstairs bar is a popular spot for late-night drinks, and entertainment options abound on site.
This place is nice, basic and a bit old but all works well. Some people in the comments say that it stinks, but honestly I didn't experience any bad odors. Beds were comfortable, bathroom all operating well and it was clean. The breakfast was also basic but tasty. The vending machines have fairly priced water and other drinks... And last but not the least... It offers FREE underground parking! This is a great feature.

Food very basic, toilet makes a loud noise when you flush, you could hear people next door. Nice place overall, very clean, i would recommend as beds are very comfortable and its great if you are going with friends or on a school trip.
Milen A — Google review
My friend came here for a trip but booked the wrong dates at another hotel, so in the end we had to book this hotel. That was the beginning of a nightmare. The front desk service was extremely poor, with very rude and unprofessional staff. At one point, we even asked to check out, but they refused, forcing us to stay one night—it was truly a nightmare. I experienced discrimination here that I have never encountered even in four-star or five-star hotels. When I visited my friend, the receptionist demanded to see my passport and register it, and told me I could only stay for 5 minutes. When we complained, asking why only 5 minutes, she changed it to 30 minutes, then to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, she held my passport in her hand and refused to return it. We argued for over an hour, from 7 pm to 8 pm. It was exhausting. Later, we requested to check out, but the manager came to mediate. I told him this was a very unpleasant experience, that I could not trust them—especially the reception staff—and that I felt discriminated against. But the nightmare did not end. When we went out for dinner and returned at 23:30, another receptionist demanded that we pay an extra €25, saying he had changed the booking from a single room to a double room, and that this was the total fee. But in fact, my friend had already booked a double room, and no room change was made. After confirming with him several times, we reluctantly paid. The next morning, as we were leaving, the receptionist stopped my friend again and demanded another €4 for city tax. This was nothing short of robbery—step by step. You simply cannot trust them. As for the hotel room, it was old and shabby. • The toilet was broken, it could not flush properly, requiring many attempts and great force. • The soundproofing was terrible—you could hear neighbors pulling curtains, flushing toilets, even scrubbing with a toilet brush—around 9 am. Absolutely disgusting. • The balcony was dirty, the chairs covered in dust, and our balcony was directly connected to the neighboring room’s balcony, which felt very unsafe. • The bathroom towels were old, worn, and fraying. The hotel’s location was also terrible—dirty and messy, with piles of trash nearby. It takes at least a 20-minute walk to find a decent restaurant. Do not be fooled by their spacious lobby. Once you go inside, you will realize it is a trap, a place of no return. As a Chinese proverb says, “In barren lands and wicked waters, there are always cunning people.”

All in all, I give 3 stars equal to.the number of stars of this hotel. The service is fine, so good Location is quite ok but you need to walk to go to.downtown which is good. Bus station is close to.the gotel.so you can use it. The room are in mine with the 3 stars, it is better to avoid the first floor just close to the kitchenette as it is noisy too early in.the morning

Terrible hotel, bad service, awful guests… apart from the location which was suitable to some extend.. everything else was horrible. The rooms are very old and they’re like from an old hospice. Then in one of the mornings we asked for an iron before 8:00am because we had to leave at 8:30… no iron received. The breakfast is mediocre. The whole second floor was smelling on weed because the neighbours were smoking inside… I don’t recommend the hotel at all.
Martina S — Google review
Rooms are ok, the bad ok too! The breakfast is very modest, but enough. It is walking about 15-20 mins from the city center and up to 35 to the coast! Clean. It is indeed a 3 star hotel. The staff is friendly Avoid to take rooms at the side with numbers 4 to 8, some very primitives live across the street and is noisy all the night.
Dejan S — Google review
This hotel was a complete disappointment from the moment we arrived. The photos online are completely misleading — they must have nothing to do with what’s in the hotel. The room smelled awful, nothing like the clean, modern ones shown on the website. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and avoid this dump. I feel completely scammed.
Tea N — Google review
The room was very clean & quite spacious. The air conditioning was effective & quiet. The bathroom was good and the shower was excellent with lots of water pressure. The staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was ok, not great but not bad. The hotel is a 20 minute walk outside the centre of Palermo & was quiet at night. I would definitely stay there again.

Garibaldi hotel in Palermo features free WiFi and a sunny cafe/bar. It is centrally located and perfect for travelers looking for a relaxing stay. Business travelers will appreciate the large conference hall, while tourists will love the stunning view of the Politeama Garibaldi Theatre from some of its rooms.
We stayed for 2 nights. The Hotel is very central, in 10 minites of walking you will find the most of the sights of palermo. We had a room to the backyard. The room was groomed, clean and the bed comfy. The bathroom was also very clean. The staff was polite and chill. For a city trip it is ideal. Parking available.
Julius W — Google review
Really great, central location. Our room was really spacious and the walls were not as thin as in other Sicilian hotels. However, we had a problem with our toilet not flushing that took more than 24 hours to fix. There's a very small lobby and restaurant and they had no computer. You have to climb up and down slanted steps to get to and from the street.
C.A.T. T — Google review
AVOID First off, the rooms look nothing like the pictures. While they do appear to be clean, they are completely outdated and equipped with terrible white fluorescent lights. The WiFi is so bad that we just decided to buy more data for our travel plan. And the AC? It’s basically non-existent. All of this, paired with intermittent outside/road noise will ensure you get no rest. The only positive thing about this place is the location, which is indeed very centralized, but that does not make this place one I’d ever recommend. This hotel is terrible and not worth more than €50 per night, at most. You’ve been warned.
Tommy D — Google review
4-star hotel? 2 stars if you’re being generous. Outdated (paint chipping from window frames), sad looking, internet non-existent, AC has two settings, freezing and off, and makes high-pitch noise. Bathroom is moldy. Clothes hangers are from other stores.
Martín Z — Google review
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my girlfriend. First, I’d like to mention the negative aspects. The air conditioner kept turning on and off by itself, and no matter what we did, we couldn’t fix it. You might wake up in the middle of the night either sweating or freezing. Although our room was cleaned every day during our stay, our towels were only changed once — we believe they should be replaced without us having to request it. The biggest issue was the Wi-Fi; I’ve never encountered such a poor internet connection. Even downloading a small video could take several minutes. Also, we realized that having a holiday in Palermo without a car is nearly impossible, and finding parking in the city is not easy. The hotel has a parking lot, but it costs €25 per night, which we find expensive. You can look for parking around the hotel, which might be more affordable. On the positive side, the hotel has a good location. The breakfast didn’t offer much variety, but it was tasty. The rooms and the hotel overall were clean and hygienic.
Ediz Ö — Google review
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Palermo. Stayed here for 1 night before our cruise. Walking distance to port and walk to it from metro (about 20 mins away.) Will stay here again when in Palermo. Clean, lovely room and within walking distance to many attractions.
V W — Google review
The biggest let down here was the AC, or nearly complete lack there of; the unit was loud and ineffective. Even after offering other rooms, the hotel was unable to provide a room with working AC. In the end, we had a fan brought to the room, which merely blew hot air on us. The desk clerk, who immediately started to sweat upon walking into our room, was very apologetic but otherwise useless. This situation, along with street noise, slow WiFi, and bad lighting (not to mention rooms which look nothing like the photos online) made for a very regretful & disappointing stay; we ended up checking out after just one night. For no reason would I ever recommend nor return to this hotel.

The Hotel Europa Palermo is a 3-star hotel located in the heart of Palermo, with strategically positioned free Wi-Fi. The rooms are down to earth and simple but they have all the necessary features for a comfortable stay. There is also a restaurant and bar on site, making it an ideal place to relax after sightseeing in the city.
While some reviews are fair (e.g. hotel being dated, walls being thin), one also has to consider other factors. The hotel is good value for money and its best asset are its employees who are just wonderful. Breakfast buffet is very good. The location is also good if you don't mind a bit of a walk. It is directly reachable by airport bus (6 eur in October 2025), bus stop is around the corner). The hotel also has an old school Italian charme which I really appreciated. Big thank you to the staff!

Although we've only been 10 minutes in this hotel. The staff was very nice and friendly. The location would be awesome for visiting the city. However, the rooms and the interior of the building are terrible. It is not clean and it wasn't renovated or worked on since the 80ties.
Sibille S — Google review
Rooms needs some touch ups, Ac is centralised which was enough to keep a chilled however does not get the room cold. Location wise it was a convenient and looked like of a good neighbourhood. Service from the staff was pleasent however the hotel lacked facilities one can expect at the given time, like a charging adapter, a fan and an iron and iron board. Price was fair considering the location was probably experiancing a city high due to a local popular event.
Hayden F — Google review
Overall I give 3 stars rating, and here is why. Objectively the location is 5 stars super strategic right behind the main street via liberta with branded shops and restaurants nearby (hence it is a pity the room facility seems not well maintained). Then services by the staff at reception very friendly and very responsive hence I give 4 stars, helpful in giving all information. Now the main topic, the room (I almost give 1 star) because when I checked in they give me room number 16, which totally different that the picture they put in room booking platform, and it is very old and dirty, especially the air conditioning (I cannot sleep until 03am, and I sent email to hotel management, to clean immediately or change room) you can see in my picture to be objective on what I am saying - Lucky the next morning they change with room number 727, at P7 the room is spacious, looks newer, cleaner, despite old bathroom, old hairdryer, which I don't mind, at least cleanliness is number 1 for me, and the air conditioning doesn't smell dusty, this room changes lead to overall 3 stars rating, really safe the day (I really hope all rooms like this at least). Room for improvement, is really about renovation, at least clean up the air conditioning regularly, and modernization of some equipment (I mean new haird dryer nowadays only cost like 20 30 euro branded one) and desk table without bulb, I mean lamp bulb is only few euros. So please pay attention especially on cleanliness of the room, for a 3 stars hotel. Because it is a pity for such strategic location, you deserve better rating from customer experience. Note: The first photo is room 16 which was awful, then the last photos is the nice clean room 727, I hope this clarify.
Steven K — Google review
The hotel was clean. The rooms can develop alot of sewer gas it will stain your clothes. It smells like a morgue. If it stinks just open the window in the bathroom. The shower is very small if you're full size person it will be very hard to get washed. There are very few outlets. 50 years ago this was probably a four star arrangement. As a tourist you might get off to the nostalgia, maybe it'll make you feel more European.
Mike — Google review
Very well located and the room service is phenomenal! Arriving to clean bedsheets and dry towels is great. Also the people at the front are super friendly.
Jennifer T — Google review
This hotel would be nice if management/ownership cared. There are holes in the wall of my room that have never been repaired. They just covered it with some extra wall paper thinking you won't see it. They are too cheap to replace the 'do not disturb' signs that you hang on the door, so you get to have the cleaning service knock on your door over and over again when you just want to be left alone. The mattresses are old and sag. The walls are so thin that you get to enjoy hearing every conversation that your neighbors have, including the ones at 1 am in the morning. The included breakfast is just a bunch of flavored croissants or cereal. Some bugs bite me every night in bed. I don't know if they are bed bugs or not because I could never see them, I only felt them. I would not recommend this hotel unless every other hotel is booked and you have no other options. The location is good. If I could give zero stars I would. I shouldn't have to give my hard earned money to anyone who cares so little about the service that they provide.

I arrived late at night despite that the rooms were available on Booking.com the receptionist insisted that he has no rooms available but the one for disabled ! He was very aggressive and I was intimidated by him. He was very upset when I showed him that there were two standard rooms available at booking.com one of which I booked . I could not get his name . My stay was only for one night. It was awful experience.

Loved staying here. It is located a walking distance from landmarks, the staff are very nice, discreet and helpful. The food is good, the coffee, of course, is any coffee lover's dream. And the rooms are very clean.

This is a run down, but very conveniently located hotel. The staff is very nice, but my windowless room was shabby and depressing. Several of the people staying there in other rooms complained of the same. My room had a broken fridge, which was never fixed, black mold in the bathroom (in at least 3 rooms), and a broken shower head. Not exactly 4 stars. The breakfast is not bad, but you are better off going out, there is so much amazing food in the city. I want to reiterate that the staff could not have been nicer, but they are let down by the maintenance of the place. Given the toxicity of black mold, I would pass on this one.

The worst motel ever existed, I can't comprehend who has given this below zero hotel 4 star, dirty room, molds in shower, receptionist didn't care, 1st nite noticed shower glass door broken, they changed the room and 2nd room had mold in the shower, even manager didn't do anything, bad location as well.

This hotel has seen the 4th stars in inauguration day, but since then, it’s total decay in construction and services. We changed 2 rooms. Both of them had mold, lack of decent cleaning, ac that had all the dust in it and noise. The location is the best thing about it, but also the neighbors are very loud. Don’t recommend unless you really have to, but they take advantage of this issue and they overcharge, as was our case.

We arrived at this hotel which we booked months ahead of time, only to be told they had water damage to a floor. They told us they rebooked us at a nicer hotel. She proceeded to call us a taxi which took us to the outskirts of town to a low rated hotel!! It was a 30 dollar taxi ride back into town where everything was. This hotel was almost 5 miles out of the city. We are taking this up with our tour company. This has happened to other people as well. I would stay away from booking at this hotel! We eventually got rebooked after complaining to our tour company to a very nice hotel…Mecure Hotel Central. The staff here very helpful and nice!

Great location. It can get a bit noisy at night with the adjacent foot traffic. Our room had issues with the AC and it took at least an hour before it cooled down to a comfortable temperature. Two outlets did not work making it hard for us to charge everything at once. Breakfast was decent with a lot of choices but come early since the number of tables are limited and people were waiting for free ones. For us, these were all minor inconveniences and we would stay again.
