1Mama Shelter Bordeaux

Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux, Mama Shelter Bordeaux is a modern accommodation option offering stylish rooms equipped with Wi-Fi and PCs. The establishment also houses a pizzeria and a rooftop bar, providing guests with an array of dining and entertainment options. Philippe Starck's unique design elements are evident throughout the property, including colorful children's floaties at the bar, a giant baby's foot as a centerpiece in the restaurant, and a playful ping pong room adorned with pink candy-covered walls.
We stayed one night in the hotel and had absolutely no complaints, especially considering it’s „only“ a 3-star hotel and a quite reasonable price. We had a coffee machine and tea in the room, breakfast was ok, I really appreciated the fresh orange juice, that’s rather rare for a 3-star. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was really good and there was even live music which was really good! We quickly visited the rooftop bar before dinner but didn’t consume anything there. Staff was very friendly everywhere. We can absolutely recommend staying here :)
Astrid S — Google review
Was a nice location, great rooftop, the food is good. The room is not to my taste, but it is clean and functional. There was a microwave which was unusual but actually nice. The staff was very very nice and welcoming to me. Overall, great value for money. To the owner I'd be happy to send a positive review to the staff if needed.
Nicolas B — Google review
Clean, good sized rooms, also not my taste but fine. Young vibe, friendly service. Restaurant is great - be sure to reserve. Location perfect, and easily accessible by tram.
Jennifer T — Google review
I had a great stay here this week. Awesome location, super friendly staff. When I lost and/or damaged mine, they provided me with multiple copies of a map of the city. They made great recommendations and marked them on the map for me. This hotel was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed here previously. It was more affordable than any of the other options I had found on my own. It's a three-star hotel, not luxury, but very nice by my standards. Everything worked correctly, was clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping came daily to make the bed and tidy up the room. I walked, skated, or took the tram exclusively during my stay and was able to get everywhere I needed to go with ease. I opted for a room without a coffee maker, but was able to go down each morning to the restaurant and grab a cup of coffee to bring back to my room, which was billed to the room. The room did have a microwave and mini fridge, which was great for me as I travel on a budget and prefer to make small meals in the room. I was completely satisfied with my time here and hope to come back someday!
Cole S — Google review
Very nice and stylish hotel. Ideally located form the airport, tram takes 45 minutes direct transfer. Train station is a bit away. Very central to city center, also a lot of shops are in walking distance. We had a three bed room, which was clean and spacious for 3 persons. The rooftop bar for the apéro is a plus for sure. Friendly staff.
Sandra — Google review
Great hotel, absolutely delicious breakfast, great rooftop bar. Rooms not super luxe but fine and we had a super enjoyable stay.
Sarah R — Google review
A deposit was taken from our account, a week later it's still not refunded. Nobody answers the phone or the email. It's an extra 950 US dollars from our account. How can this be resolved?? Whilst we were there, we booked a specific time gor a taxi as we had to catch a train, they didn't book it, no apology, they were too busy eating lunch behind the desk. They are more interested in each other than providing a service.
Emma W — Google review
Perfect Place to stay if you don't have a lot of time. Easy to reach all attractions by food. Nice Bar and rooftop.

Hotel
Yndo Hotel is a trendy and elegant boutique hotel located in the heart of Bordeaux within a historic 19th-century townhouse. The hotel offers modern decor and contemporary art, creating a striking contrast with its classic exterior. Guests can enjoy the tranquil courtyard garden and stylish dining options, as well as the ornate lounge. The twelve rooms and suites are uniquely decorated, providing a stress-free and friendly setting for visitors.
The Yndo hotel is exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our three nights there. On arrival we received a complementary upgrade to a magnificent suite. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly. The breakfasts were the best we’ve experienced in France. We stayed in the newly renovated section and the architecture and interior decorating were amazing. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. It’s close to the city centre, quiet, relaxing oasis for fellow travellers.
Vince W — Google review
We booked a luxury night away in a 5-star hotel, paying €620 for two rooms. At check-in, we were told the lift was out of order—which was not an issue. However, we were not informed that drilling work on the lift, located just 1.5 meters from our bedroom door, would begin at 8am, waking us up abruptly and completely disrupting the relaxing stay we had planned. When I raised this during check-out, the owner was dismissive and showed no empathy, accountability, or even a basic apology. She offered a token compensation, but her attitude made it clear that she had no interest in addressing our concerns. The lack of professionalism and customer care was truly unacceptable—especially from a hotel claiming to offer a luxury experience.
Lucy B — Google review
Staying at the Yndo Hotel in Bordeaux was not just a stay, it was a true experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning design — a perfect balance of elegance, creativity, and character. Every detail throughout the property feels thoughtfully curated, creating a warm and luxurious atmosphere. We were delighted to receive an upgrade, which made our visit even more special. The suite was beautifully designed, spacious, and filled with unique touches that showed incredible attention to detail. From the décor to the comfort, everything was flawless. The service was equally exceptional. This was far beyond a typical hotel stay. It was an unforgettable experience that left us with only one thought: we will definitely be coming back. We strongly recommend Yndo Hotel to anyone visiting Bordeaux who wants something extraordinary.
Oana C — Google review
Amazing hotel , great taste in art and decor . The rooms are spacious, very clean and the staff is polite and helpful. The hotel location is great too. The restaurant wasn’t to the standards of this beautiful hotel. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it to people looking for a special place to stay in Bordeaux.
Tulay W — Google review
I couldn’t be more impressed with Yndo. Our room was very comfortable, the staff were attentive and the food was outstanding. In addition, our stay coincided with the 2025 Heat Wave, where temps reached 100°F, but our room was always very comfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. In particular, Analise helped serve our meal one night and she was extraordinary. Yndo is also off the beaten path but is still very close to everyting.
Patrick T — Google review
Rooms are not all the same. In fact our Cozy Room was humid, dated, and with serious wear and tear. The size was very small even for a European hotel. Breakfast at 34€ per person vs 9-12€ around the corner. Would not recommend this hotel.
Marc — Google review
Absolutely wonderful hotel. Great rooms, service, and location. In particular we felt like our room was not just beautiful but very well-laid out with lots of subtle touches that made it very pleasant to stay in whether for a few nights or longer. We were fortunate enough to have dinner on-site one night and it was absolutely fabulous. Hoping to visit again on a future date and thank you so much!
Paul — Google review
We really loved our stay. The building is a mix of old and new on a quiet street near the heart of the city. Staff were very attentive and professional. I would not hesitate to stay again.

The InterContinental Bordeaux - Le Grand Hotel is a luxurious 18th-century property located in the heart of the city. With 130 spacious and modern rooms, the hotel offers a comfortable stay with vibrant decor reflecting the local character. Guests can indulge in fine dining at Le Pressoir d'Argent, a two-Michelin-star restaurant by Gordon Ramsay group, showcasing regional cuisine and wine pairings.
House keeping did not replenish black tea and enough cream despite requesting on 2 occasions. In a family room for 3, only 2 bottles of water and 2 chocolates were left each day. Other than that, staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the old original feel of the building and interiors. The family room was very spacious and we appreciated having 2 bathrooms and separate toilets. The special gifts for our son on checkin (toiletries etc) were especially attentive.
Sapna A — Google review
Upon checking in we were happy to be upgraded to a suite for one of our other rooms. The suite didn’t feel like a suite but like two rooms put together into a suite. No living room table for the supposed living room. All the amenities were not in good shape. It feels outdated and didn’t know if the rooms were even inspected. The brunch at the boudior de Lea was absolutely terrifying experience. It took 30 to order and another ten for the drinks to arrive and another ten for the food to come. The wait is long but we expected the food to be excellent coming from a restaurant within a five star hotel. The food is cold without any temperature and it’s feels like a lack of care for the food. Overall it’s a terrible experience in both the hardware and software. The director of rooms said she would like to follow up with us, there was no follow up at all. The location is great but other than that’s it’s not worth the price for a suite or a room.
CH S — Google review
Maybe the best hotel experience I've ever had! The Intercontinental Bordeaux is a historic and beautiful hotel in the very center of town. We were greeted by the most helpful and cheerful staff you could imagine that made the check in process so easy and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious and beautiful (photos can't capture how nice). Premium products in the bathroom and the softest bed I've slept in. We were celebrating our anniversary and they sent us champagne and a cake. Absolutely wonderful.
Andrew S — Google review
We were received and welcome by Sabrina, She was most accommodating and made us feel comfortable. Also during our stay Morgan and Andria were most helpful during our stay. George was also helping making all our reservation. All in All I can say that Intercontinental hotel in Bordeaux met all our expectation. Keep up the good work. Thank you, John Mirsepahi
John M — Google review
My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental Bordeaux for only two nights, we were blown away by the service. We were checked in by the very lovely Andrea at the front desk. After our long day of travel she was very kind, recognising our status as IHG Platinum and Intercon. Ambassador members. We were allocated a beautiful suite with direct view of the Opera House, along with some delicious welcome plates of macaron, the local canelé and fresh fruit. An absolute delight. The hotel locations is very central with a number of amazing restaurants, bars and retail stores to explore. We were also very impressed by the spa facilities, although did not have the time to enjoy a treatment this time. Throughout the stay we found every member of staff we encountered to be charming and helpful from the Bell Team, to the staff within the lounge bar and the breakfast team. We look forward to returning.
Renée H — Google review
The hotel is exceptional & the staff also go well above and beyond. I cannot say enough about the staff. The room was amazing, the workout room had a ton of equipment & the spa was next level.
Ryan L — Google review
Wonderful experience! I loved the rooms—they felt very personal and cozy. The food and service were excellent, but the rooftop absolutely blew me away

4ibis budget Bordeaux Centre Mériadeck

Hotel
The ibis budget Bordeaux Centre Mériadeck is a modest hotel offering uncomplicated rooms with flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi. The location is highly convenient, just 2 minutes from the tram stop and a 35-minute drive from the airport. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and commend the helpful and efficient staff who are knowledgeable about public transport options. While some find the breakfast adequate, others suggest adding more variety to enhance the experience.
This hotel is very well located in the town centre, close to the Beaux-Arts Museum and lovely restaurants. My room was on the 8th floor, and I really appreciated that the window could open, offering a refreshing view over the city. The service was excellent, especially at check-in. The staff gave me the impression of having a strong team spirit, which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. After a long drive, I initially panicked because I couldn’t immediately find the car park, assuming it would be obvious upon arrival. However, once I checked in, the directions were clearly explained, and the parking turned out to be convenient and reasonably priced.
Lynda S — Google review
We booked this hotel before realizing how small their rooms are. Room was tiny, but clean with large comfortable bed and nice shower, just adequate since we were there only to sleep. We appreciated however fantastic hospitality and help from amazing ladies in housekeeping and at the desk. They gave us good advices and made us feel welcome.
Rimma V — Google review
As has been said ad nauseum the rooms are incredibly small, you do become a bit crab like walking sideways around the bed. But it's clean, the bed is comfortable and the shower was fine, little odd noises at times (clanking that went on for about 20 minutes one night). The view from our first floor window was a bus stop on ground level and a very large apartment building directly opposite so not picturesque. A couple of minutes walk from the Palais Du Justice tram line A stop which takes you to the airport or into town if you don't want the short walk, Carrefore Express opposite if you fancy a snack. Saying all that, I can't complain when I paid just over 55 euro a night for our stay. We just used it as a base and a place to sleep.
Rob O — Google review
We stayed for 2 nights in September 2025, we loved the location and the city views. We selected a city view room and ours was on the top floor. It was light on amenities for example no hand towels, glasses and we had to ask for additional pillows. The supplied paper cups softened quickly with liquid in them I’m not sure how sustainable it is to be using disposable cups. The breakfast was average - good I believe there was wifi but it wasn’t clear on how to use it. Only a short walk from the Cathedral.
Aphren C — Google review
I am reviewing here as the review website from Accor apparently had a technical issue, which adds to the feeling of poor quality of our overall experience. It's a 2 stars hotel, which you can feel and it's ok, if the pricing were good. It is close to the center, but not in a nice neighborhood. I simply find that it is very overpriced for what you get. On the upside, the staff was great.
Stephane L — Google review
Brilliant location 2 minutes from the A tram stop so very handy for the airport. Also only a few minutes walk into the centre of town. Rooms are basic but clean and a good price. Ideal for a weekend in Bordeaux! Also have a great deal where if you put your ‘go green skip the clean’ sign on your door then everyone in the room gets a free drink at the bar downstairs, brilliant!
Heather M — Google review
A very tiny room looking onto a dark courtyard. Unable to.open window beyond a crack.Tiny bathroom that smelt of drains. Noisy at night due to extractor fan.Little resemblance to online photos. Asked to upgrade but the hotel was full. It was clean so compliments to the cleaning team

Hotel
Ibis Styles Bordeaux Mériadeck is a modern 3-star hotel located in the historic area of Bordeaux, close to attractions like Patinoire Meriadeck Ice Skating Rink and Bordeaux Municipal Library. The hotel offers 102 rooms with free Wi-Fi and features amenities such as board games, a playground for children, and a stylish bistro/bar. One of its highlights is the convenient tram access from the airport, making it easily accessible for travelers.
This low cost hotel was ideal for a stay in Bordeaux. There was good wifi and good airconditioning. The continental breakfast was delicious with many options available! Our room was very clean and spacious, however the bathroom was a little small and space was tight in here.
Orlaith M — Google review
I stayed in an ibis style in Roissy airport and I was disappointed that this one wasn’t so cool. Staff is nice, there is a small bar with a limited but good enough selection. The menu at the restaurant is fairly limited and so is the breakfast. The room lacks amenities like a tissue box but the TV is big and numeric friendly. The room wifi password is shown when you turn the TV on. Overall I felt the price I paid was slightly expensive for the comfort.
Yann G — Google review
Good localization (direct tram to city center and airport). Small and clean rooms (not renovated super recently). Good value for money
Ola D — Google review
The room was really clean and comfortable, thank you Rajae for your excellent preparation of the room. The room does not have a fridge. But i appreciate the different charging outlet options: plug, USB C, USB. There is strong air conditioning and black out curtains. The bed is really comfortable and clean. The location is convenient to the A train, less than 10 min walk to stop. The A train can take you to airport. There’s a water dispenser machine in the lobby that even dispenses sparkling water.
Maria H — Google review
Pros: Clean, easy access, fairly sized rooms, decent breakfast. Multiple electric outlets in the room. Wifi. Cons: A bit far from city center if you want to walk. Summary: Very good option as a “sleep-and-go” stay. I recommend this Ibis location.
Torosepulveda — Google review
The trams are close by but it’s about a 25 minute walk to Old Town. The rooms are very small with no kettle or safe and very hot and stuffy. We tried to keep the window open but it kept swinging closed. Finally had to unhook the curtains at one end to use them to keep the inside window open. This gave some air but had to put up then with more traffic noise. Best of all, BED BUGS. I saw small blood stains on one side of the bed but just thought they reused permanently stained sheets. There were no signs of bugs on the sheets. I didn’t know then to check under the sheets or that such stains are an indication of squished bed bugs. We thought my husband had hives from an allergic reaction as I didn’t have any signs of a “rash” until we got to the next Ibis in Bayonne. Unfortunately we must have carried them with us on our clothes. We reported it to our tour coordinator who was to report to the hotels.
S. M — Google review
Well located hotel. Really easy to reach from airport, tram stop about 3min away. The hotel is great, the whole team of staff, such as reception, breakfast, cleaning and all were exceptional team working there. Very polite, friendly, helpful. The hotel is also very close to all tourist sites via walk or public transport. Would stay here again for sure.
Andrelt R — Google review
We spent 4 nights at this hotel recently. No safety deposit boxes! Breakfast included in price but very basic. One morning the coffee machines werent working…no explanation or apology given. Overall disappointing. Would not stay there again.

The Ibis Bordeaux Centre Bastide is a modern budget hotel that perfectly caters to travelers seeking comfort without breaking the bank. Located just 2 km from the stunning Bordeaux Cathedral and a short stroll across the river from the vibrant city center, this hotel offers functional rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi for your convenience. Guests can unwind in the trendy bar/lounge or enjoy light bites at the snack bar while taking in views of the nearby Botanical Garden.
What a fantastic hotel. Dog friendly, clean, has games for the kids and a bar open. There's also a water station. Staff was friendly. Everything was great. We were unlucky that they were doing work on the main bridge to go into the old town, so we had to walk the length of the bridge under scorching sun with no shade, but a tram would have usually connected both sides of the town, so definitely use the tram to cross the bridge as it's a long way if you need to walk under the hot sun.
Morena F — Google review
Good hotel. Breakfast is usually included - tasty, but not so much choice. However, there is a great choice of teas of Palais des Thes - many thanks for it! Bathroom is too slippery, I almost fell! No kettle in the room.
Александра Л — Google review
The hotel is situated in a calm area, 25 minutes' walk from downtown. It is located after the bridge, which offers a stunning view of Bordeaux.
Myriam S — Google review
Clean and confy hotel. Good breaksfast. Kind hotel staff. Missing drawers to keep personnal belongins kept. One day another room guest came into our room while we were sleeping… not a good safe sensation. One thing they should paid much more attention when they give the room cards!! We comunícate this annoying issue to the staff, but they did not give any explanation but apologyze.
Miguel S — Google review
Pro's: - helpful staff - quiet location 15 min walk to the centre - nice bakery next door Con's: I had 2 awful nights sleep for the following reasons; 1. Poor sound insulation between rooms 2. Air con was blowing warm air despite being on the coldest setting 3. The double bed is made of 2 singles & 2 single mattress toppers. Probably fine with the weight of 2 people, but as a solo I found myself falling through the gap in the middle of the bed.
Hazzawynne — Google review
A lovely budget hotel situated a short walk from the city centre in a very quiet area. There is underground parking at the adjacent Carrefour - with reserved spaces for the Ibis. Book your parking with your reservation. The parking felt very secure. The room was spacious, with minimal furnishings - but it was clean and quiet. I would stay here again, it was great value.
Brendan F — Google review
We are a family of 9 needing 5 rooms so it was not always easy to manage. The staff were friendly, patient and kind, we had a good stay. The rooms were standard, but when you do not know how the other hotels around are, the Ibis is usually a safe bet. We had coffee in the hotel in the morning with croissants etc from the good bakery next door, drinks at the bar when we watched the Olympic matches on the big TV. They can store your luggage before and after the stay and the beds were comfortable plus there is air conditioning in the rooms! Location was great, quiet near the tram, yet walking distance to the river and old town centre.

They very kindly showed me the room before I went in. I had some issues with my charging cable and they were very helpful in providing a whole box of leftover chargers from previous guests that I could borrow. That was so helpful! I definitely recommend hotels do that since international travelers often arrive with the wrong kind of outlet/plug/charger for France.

Seeko'o Hôtel Design Bordeaux is a trendy 4-star boutique hotel located in the heart of Bordeaux, offering panoramic views of the city and the Garone River. The hotel features spacious open-plan suites with modern furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows, some even boasting round beds for a unique touch. Guests can enjoy sauna facilities, a traditional Hammam, and access to a fitness studio with various sports options.
A very enjoyable stay, good location just outside the city centre hustle & bustle but close enough to easily walk. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room very spacious. Didn't have any food here so can't comment on that but it's a place I would stay again.

Great experience. The location is very convenient with easy exess to the city centre. But above all the services and the extremely kind hospitality and willing to help from the staff was amazing. Thanks to Mata ,the best reception personal i ever met, and i travel a lot. Merci

Was over in Bordeaux for the Rugby World Cup and what an amazing stay it was! Reception staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming! The room was simply stunning and so so so spacious! The staff at breakfast were very helpful, however would have preferred a bit more to chose from in terms of hot food for breakfast (e.g. sausages, fried egg, beans etc.). The location of the hotel was amazing, being only across the road from a shopping centre and a 5 minute walk to the tram which brings you into the city centre! Would 100% stay here again!

Beware of this hotel because they will "accidentally" take money from your card and not refund it.

Fabulous stay, very comfy room, fab decor, super comfy bed, love all the Eco and sustainability touches. The staff super friendly. Great location. Best hotel we have stayed at in Bordeaux. Plan to be back soon for longer. Gym and Sauna great touch.

The pros: The hotel is in a great location of Bordeaux, close to the cite du vin and with easy accessibility to the tram and a large walkway along the Garon river. The hotel was outstandingly tidy and clean. The room was spacious and the bathroom had the shower and sink separated from the toilet. The bed was comfortable and offered different pillow choices. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cons: The hotel is in front of a busy road and the acoustic insulation is not that good. I was lucky to have brought earplugs, otherwise I would have had quite the trouble trying to sleep, as there are often noisy motorbikes and people just outside the hotel. The cleaning crew never left soap in my room, and the gel bottles are incredibly small, so I had to often requeste soap and shower gel to the reception desk. The breakfast is not worth its price. They offer basic eggs and bacon with some bakery goods. Coffee comes from an automatic machine and is not made fresh from beans. You have to press your own orange juice. Not bad, but definitly not worth your 19 euros, just go outside the hotel and have breakfast along the Garon in a nice coffee shop.
Guillermo L — Google review
As a first impression, I was being charged 200€ as a deposit, what wasn't mentioned in booking conditions (even three days after check-out has not been released, still waiting). As well we stayed in many hotels and none of them asked us if we want to have the room daily cleaned as it is been always included and any way if we don't we have the sign provided for the door handle. As a bonus of this stay we were being charged for breakfast what we didn't have and even asked for it (they returned the money after I had gone back, as we are staying in Bordeaux). In the 4 star hotel, at the front desk I expect someone who can speak English. We had issue with the room key. After issuing a new key at reception desk, half an hour later somebody opened the room, without knocking, while we were in the bed. We would not recommend it to our guests or to any one as for this money you can stay in other hotel closer to the center.

Le Boutique Hôtel Bordeaux is an elegant 18th-century townhouse turned boutique hotel, once the residence of a minister to Louis XVIII. The 25-room property seamlessly blends contemporary amenities like whirlpool tubs and Nespresso machines with grand staircases and stonework. Guests can enjoy a wine and tapas bar as well as a bountiful breakfast buffet. The hotel's high ceilings, tall windows, and secret wine bar make it a hip retreat in the city center.
This is a wonderful hotel and excellent location. Very courteous staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Coming from Paris the rooms here are larger and with a very local feel and vibe. There was a spa also, but we did not use any of the amenities offered. We chose to spend our time exploring the city. We initially booked two nights and enjoyed the town and hotel that we decided to stay another night. I highly recommend and cannot wait to return.

Amazing staff and rooms! The hotel is easily walkable to all things to do in Bordeaux. Staff is available 24/7 and extremely knowledgeable on the area. There is a restaurant and spa on site and both are beautiful and well thought out. We booked the room with a jacuzzi which was wonderful after full days of walking.

Wonderful location directly downtown. The staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast at the hotel had the option of paying for continental or full breakfast with eggs. If you do take the breakfast, make sure you book it in advance as it is less expensive when done this way.

Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux's historic district, HÔTEL DE TOURNY - Boutique Hôtel Bordeaux Centre is a charming 18th-century mansion turned into a stylish boutique hotel. With only 12 vintage-style rooms, this intimate hotel offers personalized service and an inviting atmosphere. The light grey toned decor and high-end furnishings add to the cozy ambiance. Guests can unwind in the courtyard or enjoy the concierge service after exploring the city.
The hotel was cozy and very welcoming. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional, compared to our other encounters with the people in Bordeaux. They made our stay very enjoyable and the interactions with them are always very pleasant. They helped give good restaurant recommendations, itinerary recommendations and were really efficient in helping book a cab (not easy in Bordeaux). The location was excellent, near to the different attractions in Bordeaux. And the fact that it’s a boutique hotel with only 12 rooms is icing on the cake. It is really private and you don’t get huge noisy crowds in the floors or rooms. Really great hotel, highly recommended!

Very pleasantly surprised to find such a gem of a hotel in Bordeaux which not only had really friendly and helpful reception but also an airy and tastefully destined interior. I booked a single room which was on the top floor (there is a lift 👍) and whilst compact it still felt spacious due to the clever arrangement of furnishings, storage and shower, toilet etc. As this was at the height of the heatwave in Bordeaux the a/c in the room was fab! The bed comfy and the luxurious touch of Rituals toiletries a really welcome addition! I can't fault this hotel and will be back. Thank you for a lovely stay 🤗

This is a gem of a hotel in an excellent location! It was also very economical. I did a lot of research and am I ever glad we picked this hotel. Firstly, the reception was outstanding. When we had breakfast, we asked if we could eat in the outside courtyard (despite being a bit on the chilly side). The owner made a special effort to set the table for us, plus he brought out cushions for the sitting area just for us. Food was fresh and there was a really good variety. I had a single room, which was on the small size, but I was only sleeping there, so it was fine. It was very clean & quiet, and well laid out. Bed was comfortable. My sister & husband had a bigger room and it was gorgeous! We were off to a river cruise later the following day, & it was no problem for the staff to safely store our luggage while we explored more of Bordeaux. Many things are walkable from this hotel, and it is in a very safe, higher end neighbourhood. Don’t hesitate to book this unique boutique hotel with character, charm, and great staff. I don’t think you’ll find a better hotel for this price. If we are ever in Bordeaux again, this will be our hotel, hands down.
Karen B — Google review
We had a pleasant, quiet room with 2 balconies facing the street, although we didn't use the balconies due to the chilly, rainy weather. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The shower recess is roomy. The hot water is slightly temperamental, but once you're accustomed to it's intricacies you will always get a hot shower. The continental breakfasts with Alexander's scrambled eggs were devine. All the front desk people were helpful & polite, most of them understood a small amount of English, but the jewel in the crown of this hotel was Alexander! He not only spoke good English (which was very welcome as we have minimal French), but made our stay extremely enjoyable with his helpful suggestions & advice regarding travelling around the city & places we might like to dine.
Christine S — Google review
Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff. We had a great weekend stay. Single rooms may be somewhat small for some, but if you are there to visit the city it doesn't matter because there is so much to do. It is very close to the centre of Bordeaux, you can walk anywhere from there. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Very nice place, especially the staff. They really made our stay very memorable. Super friendly and always helpful. A very young team of enthusiastic hoteliers. The normal rooms are pretty small and the breakfast is small but solid too but i would still very much recommend the place from a human aspect and i would return anytime.

Well located hotel. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and provided great service. Nice rooms. Well priced lunch menu in the restaurant. Small let down was the dirty toilets in the public area on LG.

We were a family of 3 couples and 2 dogs. It was very convenient and easy to check-in, even late in the evening. There was a very friendly smiling staff member who recommended us a good Brasserie near the hotel. She gave us very clear directions on foot or by tram. The rooms were a good size and comfortable.

2nd stay for wine festival. OK location to walk to event. Easy check-in, but didn't get room allocation until we returned at midnight, as we arrived before 2pm. Room booked for two people, room appears to be ready for one. As lack of towels, 1 coffee sachet,, 1 decaf, no tea , only 2 infusions.. no long life milk. Didn't book breakfast as previous breakfast at this ibis was not good.
Peter L — Google review
Great location near Bordeaux centre. Reception and bar staff very friendly and helpful. Biggest inconvenience: no bin bag in the room's only, small, bin. We didn't try the breakfast, but enjoyed a free drink at the bar in exchange for refusing room service (unfortunately only part of the bar menu is included). In the room, the shower was small, a little inconvenient, and lacked a shower curtain to prevent spills on the floor. The room was not beautiful, but functional with a chair, table, smaller table with sofa, and bedside tables included. The blackout blind was very good & the room was quiet at night, although the AC unit is quite loud when operating (we switched it off at night). Got some nice tea, instant coffee and a cheap kettle, and we had to ask at the bar for new cups on the second night.

This was a very good value room. It was just a little bit too small and I found myself stepping over my small suitcase, but the price was very good. I will definitely stay here again. The staff were fantastic.
Euan — Google review
Tired, smelly room and floor (floor 8, room 810). The cleaners were on the floor as we arrived and the smell was at its worst, they can't be actually emptying/replacing the bags on their hoovers. It's really bad. Got the room as part of loyalty points to enable an overnight stay in the city as part of a wider trip so no time to pack up again and change rooms. It's clear they put us in the crappiest of the crap rooms. No one should have to stay in a room or floor like this. They should be embarrassed.
Benjamin C — Google review
When the sofa bed in the room opens as a bed, there is no more space to walk around. It is too big for 1 person. There is a bad smell on the floors and especially in the entrance. The breakfast is too basic but ok. There are 2 rooms for breakfast. The main room is nice to sit and eat but the extra room is just a boring room. The location is ok but far from most central parts. The car parking is expensive; you pay per hour.
Serhat S — Google review
Like many other Ibis hotels, this one is in desperate need of renovation — it’s quite old. The reception area is okay, but the rooms are small, very hot, and outdated. The location isn’t ideal, though you can walk to the city center in about 25–30 minutes. Due to ongoing construction, there’s currently no public transport connecting the hotel to the center. Parking is available at the Carrefour next door, but unfortunately, there were several people sleeping in the parking garage and in front of the hotel, which didn’t feel very safe.

Great value for money and location wise, restaurant is open until late so you can get a dinner. The service in the restaurant could be better but then again it's a small team to do everything, the taste is nice though.

Spent three nights here for a work trip. The room was well sound-isolated, clean and spacious, the bed really comfortable. Nice continental breakfast. The staff was really kind, one of the receptionist was also really helpful in providing me all the information to visit the city centre and reach the airport. The hotel itself is a bit far from the city centre, but very well linked thanks to the tram line that will take you there in 20 min (for 1,90 euros!).

The ibis was such a convenient stay for our trip. We needed something cheap and easy to find. Ibis had Locked parking as well so we felt safe leaving our roof box on, as we were unsure of how safe it would be in the area. The food was great and the staff were all so lovely and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful also which helped set us up for the long trip ahead the next day. I was a bit worried when I first saw the hotel that it was going to be ‘tooo cheap’ but the beds were clean and comfy with loads of space in the rooms. They even had a hotel cat 😊 We had burgers which were quick and tasted delicious from the restaurant on site!

The location is really convienient but further to that I would avoid this hotel unless you like faeces on bathroom walls and god knows what stains on the bed. We stopped a while ago and noted that the standard rooms weren’t very good so last year when we returned we booked the upgraded room as they looked a lot better. Got into the room and was appalled at the shear lack of hygiene in there, the hotel was fully booked and we had travelled 16 hours so has no choice but to stay. I put in a complaint when I was back but I never received a response and as I am booking hotels for that way again it has reminded me to avoid completely still no response to the complaint and no compensation for the stay,

We stayed for 3 nights and had the most amazing time. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful and there was a lovely atmosphere in the cafe/ common area. You are able to bring food to eat outside/ inside the hostel which worked really well for us as we were on a tighter budget and not able to eat out every night. The rooms were so clean and the air con was amazing during the hot weather. Location was excellent- really central and it was easy to access tourist attractions/ nightlife. Thank you for such a great stay.

Central Hostel Review Overall, I had a good experience at Central Hostel. The location is very convenient — right in the city center, with easy access to main attractions and transport links. The staff are also very kind and welcoming, which really adds to the stay. The only downside is the immediate surroundings. The hostel is located in a plaza where there are often homeless people staying around, and the area can feel a bit uncomfortable at times. On one occasion, I even noticed human waste in the plaza itself, which wasn’t pleasant. While this is part of the neighborhood and not the hostel’s fault, it’s something travelers should be aware of. Inside, however, the hostel is very well maintained. The cleaning staff do an excellent job — everything felt fresh and tidy throughout my stay. A practical tip for future guests: if you need a lower bunk, make sure to request it well in advance. I asked last minute and unfortunately couldn’t be accommodated. Since I’m a bit clumsy, climbing up and down the ladder was tricky, and I nearly slipped a couple of times. Having a bottom bunk would have made my stay much easier and safer. In short: great staff, very clean interiors, and a central location — just keep in mind that the plaza outside may feel a little rough at times, and secure a lower bunk ahead of time if you need one.
Carol B — Google review
The location of this hostel is amazing, right in the middle of the old town. The staff was friendly too. The rooms and beds were clean which helps. Better design for the lockers along with more frequent replenishment of things like soap would help. The bathrooms were clean. What would help is making the place more social, the weekend I was there, it wasn't at all so having more things planned would be good.
RV — Google review
The location is perfect, the staff are very nice and helpful, and the lobby is very comfortable, with plenty of space to sit, work at a desk, relax, chat, or just spend time. The showers and sinks are a bit worn, though this wasn’t really a problem for me — just worth mentioning. Everything was clean overall. It’s definitely worth staying here if you’re looking for a good location for a few nights in the heart of the city. I highly recommend it.
Ilia S — Google review
The beds are comfy and one gets quite a lot of privacy with the cupboard like setting. However, it wasn’t possible to air the rooms out and I never been to a place with such stench of feet and body odor. Something the keep in mind is also the mixed dorms are almost only booked by man that you might end up being the only woman like me.
Bahar — Google review
The best thing about this hostel is its location, right in the historical center of Bordeaux. The beds are big and comfortable, but that leaves the aisle very narrow. I struggled to maneuver my luggage into the locker under the bed. Also, there is no kitchen, which can be annoying if you’re staying more than a couple of days. Then there were a few inconveniences, that I’m sure are temporary, but kind of ruined my experience: - the elevator was glitching, with the doors opening and closing a bit at random - the stairwell stank of sewage - one of the two days I stayed there was no hot water at the bar, so I couldn’t get a tea The staff was always very kind, so I really regret to give only 3 stars.

The location is super! Its close to everything with sites and restaurants within minutes walking distance. The rooms are very modern, with amazing views inside the terrace and from the balcony. Super cold air conditioning, super soft beds and pillows. Excellent coffee in the room with a fridge and a cook top. Quiet rooms that are close enough to where everything is, but not in the middle of the night noises. Oh, a d very modern showers with a shower door that closes!

We had a nice room with the outdoors chairs that we can sit outside. There’s a kitchen equipped with utensils with tea and coffee facility. Bonus with parking in the building was really handy. But you do have to pay for the parking per day. The staff were nice. The laundry room in the building was excellent. We didn’t use the gym but it does look good. The downside was the shower tray base was hollow, bouncy and slippery. When people travelling to the room or going, you can hear the dragging of their luggages. Location isn’t too bad. But you do have to walk a bit to the main attractions. But it was fine. Overall it was a pleasant stay

We stayed here twice during our trip. Great location and super quiet (we stayed on the top floor). Loved having the ironing board and iron provided already and air con was fab. Service amazing and the coffee shop was a lovely touch downstairs. We didn't have breakfast here, but looked nice from what we saw. Great first impression of StayCity and we'll definitely be staying in them in future travels!

We got to the hotel and checked into the room to find that the balcony door would not close so we headed back to reception. Laurie was there and treated us amazingly, she understood our poor french and came with us to have a look herself. Typically I would expect them to send a handyman or similar to deal with. She tried to close the door a few times to find the same issues and then just moved us to a different room with no hassle what so ever. Room has a lovely big bed with lots of space to spread out. Everything you could want and equidistant to the city centre and the train station. They also held our bags after we checked out. Would stay again

This is such a great hotel positioned in a fantastic part of the city just off Victor Hugo Street. There is one major letdown, which was so disappointing given the quality of the facility. The bed was deplorable. There was a sinkhole on either side. It was lumpy and very uncomfortable. Considering the most time you spend in any hotel is in its bed you would think high-quality mattresses would be a priority. My friend who was in another room had exactly the same problem. So disappointing as everything else from the parking, decor the in room, staff, facilities and additions like a laundry and gym are so good.
G M — Google review
Hotel is in a great part of town and is quiet with comfortable beds. The room I was in was small with a large bathroom, however. Wi-Fi was great, and I looked out over an old church. However, my air conditioning did not work. Staff immediately provided me a fan that was good enough to cool down the most important area, the bed with the window open. A promised fix never came, however. While the hotel's official website showed there were other rooms available, staff told me there were none. The second night was hotter and it was a struggle to sleep even with the fan and mosquitoes got in because of the needed open window. Not what I expected for the price I paid.

This is a boutique hotel in walking distance of the main shopping streets in the centre of Bordeaux. It is designed to exude comfort and style combined with a homely feel - sofas, games, books and open spaces. The stars of the hotel are the staff. The Reception team couldn’t do enough to help us and we had a few trials with missed flights, taxis needed and restaurant cancellations. All dealt with in a professional, happy way. The food in Madame B’s was very good but a little slow in arriving. Three hours for drinks and three courses. The room - a Junior Suite with a terrace was fabulous. It just needs handles to help you get in and out of the bath but the walk in shower is perfect. I loved the branded liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast, at first glance, seems limited but then you find out there’s loads to choose from and cooked eggs on demand. I would recommend this hotel - it’s not the cheapest stay but certainly if you can afford it, worth the stay.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Burdigala. We were impressed by the interior of the room as well as the lobby spaces - extremely stylish, newly renovated and spacious. The gym wasn’t big but has everything needed. The staff were friendly and quick in helping us! Thanks a lot for our pleasant stay.

Absolutely fantastic. Great design, friendly and professional staff. I love the Deco. Original. Breakfast is alright, the coffee can be better.

This is a 5-star hotel that has a BROKEN AC system and INSINCERE staff. The AC in the room wasn’t working during the hottest week and staff LIED that there was no room available to change for the night and we had to DOWNGRADE to another room. We found out they lied to us as they have a suite available. During our 3-night stay, we had to swap rooms for twice. It created such inconvenience and distress during our trip and they gave us a tote bag hoping to make up for the irreversible damage they had caused. Please avoid staying at this hotel if possible.

We stayed at this fabulous hotel for 2 nights in a duplex room. Highlights include top tier customer service from Romain, Thomas and the rest of the team. Room was quite nicely laid out over two floors. Lots of closet space and comfy bed. Interesting cocktails and foodin the restaurant. The highlight was absolutely the private cinema that we could reserve that was included in the room price. We enjoyed an evening watching a movie while drinking some champagne and tasty snacks. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a stay in Bordeaux.

Hôtel De Sèze is a luxurious hotel housed in an 18th-century building, showcasing classic Bordeaux architecture. The 55 rooms are elegantly decorated, blending 18th-century style with modern comforts. Guests can savor market prix fixe menu at Comptoir de Seze or enjoy original cocktails and an extensive wine list at the bar. Le Manege's chef, trained in Paris, incorporates local produce into exquisite dishes.
Our stay at the Hotel-de-Seze and Spa in Bordeaux was nothing short of exceptional from the moment we arrived. The hotel exudes an exquisite sense of style and charm, with every corner thoughtfully decorated to create an inviting atmosphere. The staff, truly outstanding in their professionalism, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering insightful guidance for personalised tours of the city. Breakfast, served directly to our room, was of the highest quality—an indulgent start to our day. The hotel’s prime location, just a short walk from the heart of the city and its many historic monuments, made it an ideal base for exploring Bordeaux. The rooms, while compact, were thoughtfully appointed with all the modern amenities necessary for a relaxing and memorable stay. Luxurious touches such as toiletries, plush dressing gowns, and slippers ensured that every detail contributed to our comfort. For those wishing to explore not only Bordeaux but also the scenic vineyards of Médoc and Saint-Émilion, Hotel-de-Seze is perfectly situated. Its proximity to the tram offers convenient access to the airport, while the renowned shopping street, Rue de Saint-Catherine, is also just a stone's throw away. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel-de-Seze and Spa for an unforgettable stay in Bordeaux and the surrounding region. We enjoyed an unforgettable stay, one that has left us with cherished memories.

This is a nice modern hotel in a great location. We booked a smaller room- maybe a double? - beware, it is small. And the bed is tiny as well. Unfortunately our bedroom had a view of a dirty wall - and absolutely nothing else (the bathroom window at least had a green plant outside). When we asked to change rooms we were told there were no other rooms available. For 3 nights we spent as much time outside the room as possible. It was unfortunate because otherwise it was a really nice hotel. Clean, quiet, and nice decor. The breakfast was very good and the location was excellent. Right downtown and close to the tram. If our room had had any kind of a view at all I think we would’ve enjoyed our stay here very much.

We really enjoyed my stay at Hôtel De Sèze. The location is right in the very center of Bordeaux. The hotel itself is very clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. Our room was comfortable and quiet, which made for a very relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection and was a great way to start the day. Overall, a charming hotel with a welcoming atmosphere — I would happily stay here again.

This hotel has been remodeled to a very modern facility. The room was well decorated and the bath area was very large offering both a shower and bath. It seemed to me the bathroom floor was heated. It had a small patio with a view of the top of the large fountain in the park. Location in the central area was great. Well worth the visit.

We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely hotel room, great spa. Breakfast was also good. They were very kind and let us spend the whole day in the lobby and common spaces when we had a 10pm flight, without making us feel bad about it. My only comment for improvement is that the AC worked ok, but my partner and I are hot sleepers and like to have the room very cold at night, and the AC wasn’t strong enough to get it really cold.
Adrienne P — Google review
Lovely hotel and excellent location- very close to trams and sites to see. So hot so we enjoyed the air conditioning but it went off every night. So uncomfortable but they did turn it on when we asked. Nice breakfast lovely staff. Restaurant closed for dinner on Sunday which also impacts room service. Nice lounge to sit in and no corkage fee. I would stay here again.

Great classic hotel in an excellent location in Bordeaux. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodated our requests. Room size as expected for a French city hotel, bathroom was super clean, comfy and great size. Walking distance to most Bordeaux city sights. I would definitely stay here again.

The city Centre location allows for all travel plans putting your mind at ease. Our advice would be to check in, eat at the hotel restaurant, and then get lost walking the beautiful historic streets. Great stay for your wine tours 🍷 🍇

Discover the unique charm of Mondrian Bordeaux Les Carmes, located in the historic district of Chartrons just outside Bordeaux's city center. This former 19th-century wine cellar, Maison Calvet, has been transformed into a stunning hotel through a partnership between French real estate Group Pichet and hospitality company Ennismore. Guests are captivated by the beautiful and thoughtful decor, impeccable valet service, and delightful dining experience at Chef Morimoto's restaurant.
The staff was very kind and accommodating. The rooms, spa, and restaurant are beautifully appointed. A delicious breakfast was served. I booked through American Express Platinum and enjoyed the extra services offered: early check-in, late checkout, breakfast for two, $100 resort credit, and room upgrade. A wonderful hotel a little off the beat and path but easy to walk to the main area of Bordeaux. Not as close to the heart of the old city but very easy to walk to the river and main attractions.
Jennifer L — Google review
I was really excited for this stay as I love the Mondrian London bar and events spaces, however the Bordeaux hotel was disappointing. The exterior is stunning and the decor in the restaurant / rooms all wonderful quality and the high-end you would expect. However, the service was 100% poor. Outside of the gentlemen on the door, and the host at the restaurant, everyone else seemed inexperienced or too busy. We even experienced rudeness from a waitress, which was shocking at the time - but given that management didn't even offer an apology or then check later in our stay whether we were having a better experience, confirmed to me that this isn't an establishment that cares. It's a shame as the Mondrian brand should be 5* and the restoration of the building is beautiful, but I cannot recommend that anyone stays here again.v

The hotel staff was outstanding. Our room was well-appointed: fantastic bed, linens and pillows! We loved the dimmer lights! Great shower. We were extremely pleased with our stay at your lovely hotel.

High-quality hotel, spa and restaurant with very attentive staff. Modern, clean, stylish rooms. Restaurant and bar are excellent quality. Overall, very good for business or couples. The pool and spa are small, but very nice and heated. And to reiterate, the staff are very hospitable. Location is a 15-20 minute walk or taxi to the charming area. Kids can swim but not loudly as it is a spa.

A lovely retreat away from all the cruise ships and hords of people in the center near the opera. Fabulous service, attention to detail, a lovely spa and pools, a well appointed breakfast, a delicious restaurant, and attentive service at the cocktail bar. Parking was a breeze and so was the check-in and check-out. Be sure to use the hotel to visit a very sweet little chateau in the middle of the city. Definately a place to consider when visiting Bordeaux.

This Hotel is the perfect place to be in Bordeaux, is pretty well located at walkable distances of most of the Bordeaux historic places, amen of the amazong public transportation of the city. amenities is another strong point, Spa, and the chef Morimoto restaurant are unforgattable pieces, the service is super professional very, but very friendly.. the rooms super clean.. so definitely this Hotel is a most... I forget the parking is not a issue at all..

I’ve worked in 5-star, 5-diamond luxury hotels, as well as traveled around the world. The team at Mondrian is nothing short of world class. The check in process was very welcoming and provided all the details of the property amenities. The valet/bell service was prompt and professional. They’ve really thought through each touch point to ensure top notch service. We were there for a short visit and were unable to take advantage of all the offerings but given the experience we had, I’d love to return on our next trip. The location is north of the main town area but we found it very convenient to get around and quieter being away from the tourist areas. I would not let the location deter from booking as it’s the best stay you’ll find in all of Bordeaux.

From check in to checkout we had a great stay, room was very comfortable, location is a bit far from old town but in between attractions so not a big issue. Really enjoyed the food - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only nit pick would be that I wish the food temperature is better.

Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux's historic Saint-Seurin district, Villa Victor Louis is a chic hotel that beautifully marries modern comfort with 18th-century charm. Housed in a stunning mansion, this elegant retreat showcases decorative elements that celebrate the city's rich artistic heritage. Guests can admire exquisite wall plates crafted by renowned local ceramicist Jules Vieillard while enjoying rooms named after influential artists like Albert Marquet and Francisco de Goya.
We had the loveliest stay in Bordeaux at Villa Victor Louis, which felt more like a luxurious B&B than a hotel. The house is situated on a quiet street that's close to shopping, restaurants, and sights, so you can walk or take the tram anywhere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast is served in a charming conservatory that overlooks the garden in the back of the house. As wonderful as the hotel is, the best part was the staff. They are more than just professional--they are warm and hospitable and knowledgable about anything you'd want to know about Bordeaux. We loved our stay here, and we'd be happy to stay here again.

It was an incredible stay—it’s like sleeping in a museum. The owners took care of every single detail to make you feel this amazing atmosphere. They’re the kindest and most friendly people, and they treat you like you’re at home. As for comfort, it’s 100% everything is impeccable and simply beautiful. We loved having breakfast on their gorgeous terrace, always with ambient and elegant music. Thank you so much! We’ll come back every time we stay in Bordeaux.

Highs and lows at Villa Victor Louis. Very charming villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bordeaux. The receptionist was very helpful, she offered to handle our reservation for a nearby parking when we arrived. Also recommended parking in the street since it was free on weekends. Breakfast is more on the simple side, missing warm dishes. On another note, we were in room “Odilon Redon 5”, the room was comfortable and the bed was superb, but the bathroom shower had low pressure and it was more on the cold side, should be fixed ASAP… can’t imagine dealing with that in winter weather. TIP: if you turn on hot water on the sink, the shower starts running a little warmer.

Situated in a quiet residential street this 4 storey townhouse is quite the experience. We only stayed the 1 night, but the bedroom was large, well appointed and spotless. We arrived late, but entry was easy with the supplied code. Just down the street is the Oxford Arms which luckily opens late so we could raise a glass to welcome Bordeaux. Breakfast is traditional French, but was just what we needed and our host gave us a detailed list of sites and restaurants to visit. A most pleasant stay.
Mike C — Google review
A 2* hotel with 4* prices. While the hotel staff members were friendly and welcoming, the hotel itself is worn and unclean. The floors and carpets are visibly dirty. The trouble continued into the room. The Bath towels were ripped, the bathrobes were stained, and the decorative pillows on the bed sorely needed to be washed. I even found used contact lenses on the floor of our bathroom. With a good scrub and some care, this hotel could be great, but left much to be desired as it currently stands.
Bianca M — Google review
We booked a suite, that had no cutlery, no kettle, no tea and no coffee. Tea and coffee charged separately for terrible machine produced artefacts that taste like tissue. Massie May and Juliet at the reception were the only thing redemptive. The whole experience is designed to be extractive, the management has perfected the art of deceptive pricing, sub standard service and the appearance of luxury with the delivery of inanity
Sameer P — Google review
Absolutely loved this gem! In such a quiet area away from the downtown busy/loud area. It is a few kms away from the action so be prepared to walk a bit. Truly worth the extra steps as it’s such a cute space. The bed was comfy, the whole ambiance was such a pleasant experience.
Lindsie H — Google review
We loved our five-night stay here. Helene, the manager, has a bubbly personality and treated us like overnight guests in her own home, rather than hotel guests. She made dinner reservations for us every night, after asking what kind of food we liked, and also provided advice about museums and day trips. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored 17th Century mansion with new high-end bathrooms and A/C. We felt very fortunate to have found this place!

This bar-lounge styled hotel is located in a newly renovated part of the city, just a short walk from Saint-Jean's mainline train station. Rooms are air conditioned with wifi free throughout the property. Kids will love the bunks and playschool colours in this vibrant hotel.
Wonderful hotel , very welcoming, clean and inclusive. Breakfast is to die for. One welcome feature was the well equipped kitchen, where guests could prepare their own meals. Beautiful garden, where you could sit in the evening, drink wine and socialise.

This is a very functional hotel in a decent location for a good price. We paid £89 for 1 night. The rooms feel very much like a hostel as they have lockers in. The location is 10 minutes from the train station and close to a supermarket and some bars. It's a 25 minute walk into town. The hotel has a communal kitchen which is handy for storing food. Huge downside is having to pay to store luggage, which is something to consider if you want to arrive early or check out and come back for your bags. If you're looking for a functional hotel for one night then for the price it's good, but very basic.
Grace C — Google review
I loved my stay at Meininger. Just there for 2 nights, but the rooms were comfortable and the community areas were very welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped for making some meals. Looking forward to a return trip.
Jordan P — Google review
I stayed here for one night on Tuesday 28 October 2025 and checked out the following morning. I paid an extra 15€ for early check in since my train arrived in Bordeaux St Jean Station at around 11:30am and the check in opens from 3:00pm. So rather than wait 3 hours or leave and come back, I paid the extra fee. It should be noted that there is a storage fee to store any luggage or baggage if you arrive earlier than 3pm and wish to leave stuff. This is the first time I have had to pay for storage at a hotel anywhere in the world, so I thought it was weird that the storage was not complimentary. So this is a big negative for me. Having said the above, the staff were super friendly and helpful. It is not their fault of the company policy with the extra fees. The room was clean, modern and the beds were very comfortable with soft pillows and linens. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The location is an easy 10 minute walk from the Bordeaux St Jean Train Station, which is why I picked the place. In retrospect, this accommodation feels more like a hostel setup rather than a hotel. There was a common community kitchen for use of guests. This would explain why they charge for luggage storage since that is typical of a hostel, but certainly not for a hotel. Perhaps it is a hybrid mix of hostel and hotel.

We stayed in this hotel May 5/25. The location of this hotel is closed to everything and within walking distance. The hotel is very clean, simple and organized. I enjoyed staying in the hotel very much. They have a lot of facilities including a kitchen so we can actually cook our own food. They have utensils, cooking pots, dish washer, laundry and I feel like home at this hotel. The staff at the concierge is very friendly, professional and smiles all the time. They treat us like family. The decorations inside the room are refreshing and neat, very attractive. I wish I could stay a bit longer. Their breakfast is very delicious and staff is also very attentive and helpful. All in all, this is an excellent hotel for us and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
CC K — Google review
The room provided more than your typical European offering at this price point, so I awardrd 5 stars to lift them up. For European travel using mass transit, this fits the bill. The rail station is less than a 10-minute walk, and there's a convenient "G" bus (Meca stop) around the corner. For a 5 Euro all-day mass transit pass, you can travel pretty much anywhere in Bordeaux without the hassle of parking a car. There's versatile kitchen in the lobby, with a seating area for dining, and there's a Carrfour around the corner. The location is nothing special but it is convenient.
Michael K — Google review
This is a great hotel! Close to the train station, super clean, modern and hip, with friendly staff. I appreciate the attached bar and restaurant also. I will definitely stay here again with my guests and recommend it to all my visiting friends. I have now stayed in this hotel three times. They were very understanding when I needed to amend my reservation to add another extra night. Very helpful and understanding staff!

Good budget hotel for families and backpackers. Located within walking distance to the train station and many historical sites. Free use of common kitchen and washers on the main floor. No room amenities others than soap and towels. Eventhough our bathroom (room 237)appears clean but it has a strong smell of sewer gas, could be just our room or may have problems with the whole hotel sewage plumbing system.

Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux, the ibis budget Bordeaux Centre Gare Saint-Jean offers a no-frills yet comfortable stay for travelers exploring this enchanting city. Known as The Pearl of Aquitaine, Bordeaux is a treasure trove of history and culture, with its stunning architecture lining the banks of the Garonne River. Guests can enjoy cozy rooms designed for relaxation after a day spent wandering through UNESCO World Heritage sites like Quais de Bordeaux.
Quite affordable steps from the Bordeaux StJean train station. It was among the most affordable accommodations this month. Small, tidy rooms are clean and surprisingly quiet. Thank you for lasting hot water in the shower. The continental breakfast was varied and fresh. Worth it. I'll stay here again without hesitation on my next visit to rgee city.

It was great for our one night stay. Welcoming reception. Adequate room and good breakfast. Parking for our bikes. Suggestions are a simple paper cup for a drink of water and a toilet brush to clean between uses and before the staff have to clean. Second stay after 10 days, sadly still no toilet brush and no drinking cup/glass. Bit plenty of glasses in the breakfast room so you can help yourself and take to your room.

It’s an Ibis, it’s budget and basic and small, but a great value. It’s right across from the train station and metro stop. The neighborhood can look a little sketchy at night, but it’s actually fine. The accommodations are thoughtfully designed with modern family suites featuring plush beds that promise restful nights.
The room was comfortable and the staff were welcoming. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed as it was a Sunday but there were establishments within walking distance. More importantly for me was that the hotel is pet friendly. I was surprised that there was a charge to park.

Excellent Stay – Special Thanks to the Front Desk! Our experience at Pullman Bordeaux was fantastic. The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable, but what truly stood out was the warm and professional welcome we received at check-in. I spent one night with my wife. check-in : 10 pm. check-out: 11 am the following day. Room was ok. Breakfast was far below from average. it was the worse we had in 3 weeks of vacations were we stayed in several hotels in France, Spain and Portugal. Only the bread was ok. One bottle of tap water for 80-100 people having their breakfast, tastless offee, fruit salad with an acid taste, croissants and pastry looked like they were coming from the local supermarket, even the cannelés, that are Bordeaux speciality, were very bad. The sole positive note comes from the employees who were nice. At the same time, can we expect less from a premium 4* hotel.
Stéphane — Google review
I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Pullman Hotel. The lack of transparency with the pricing was appalling. Upon check-in, we were unexpectedly charged a 100 Euro deposit, something that has never happened to me in any country I have visited. Additionally, at checkout, we were hit with a supposed city tax that was never mentioned during the reservation or at arrival. The room itself was far from satisfactory. The air conditioning was malfunctioning, making the room unbearably hot and resulting in a very uncomfortable night's sleep. The following morning, we decided to have breakfast, which was considerably expensive, only to find dirty plates and many food items not replenished or in poor condition. To top it off, the staff were inattentive; we had to alert them that some bread was burning in the toaster, and their first response was a rude inquiry if the bread was ours. The situation escalated when the fire alarm went off, and the staff were unable to turn it off for more than 15 minutes. The sound was deafening and added to the overall discomfort of our stay. The most shocking part of this experience came more than a week after our stay, when I found an unexpected charge of 52 Euros on my card. This is unacceptable and feels like outright theft. In summary, the Pullman Hotel not only failed to provide a comfortable and pleasant stay but also demonstrated a blatant disregard for customer service and transparency. I would strongly advise others to avoid this establishment. They treat their customers poorly and do not deserve any positive recognition.
Ana V — Google review
I stayed at the Pullman for (fortunately!) only one night on 14 April. It was 28 degrees outside and felt even hotter in my room - room 433. I had one free night before moving into my longer term accommodation and given the warm weather decided to choose a hotel slightly out of town with a pool. A mistake. Unfortunately, the pool (and outdoor area) wasn’t open and my hotel room was doubling as a sauna. The AC pumped out hot air and despite the team ‘fixing it’ for an hour, overnight it appeared to revert to heating rather than cooling. If you have to stay here, I suggest staying on the lower floors. Or if you have a choice, stay elsewhere if the weather is warm. To compound matters, the fridge was missing from its cupboard so I couldn’t even grab a cold drink. The positives, the bed was comfortable and the reception staff were welcoming - hence the 2 rather than 1 star review.
Davros J — Google review
Nice hotel with, a great ambience. Nice comfortable room. The restaurant was terrible. Looking all dressed up with fancy glasses and such but we got served food that was not fresh. Mushy, greasy vegetables. The card seemed designed to prepare frozen food and items that just need to be warmed up. The promotion video in the hotel showed delicious fresh food prepared by a chef but the reality was very different. Disappointing.

Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux, the Hilton Garden Inn Bordeaux Centre is a stylish haven for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. The spacious family suite offers ample room to relax, complete with air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, fridges, and coffee makers—ideal for those cozy evenings in.
Best of an America hotel with plenty of French surprises. After a long day of travel, enjoyed the big room and comfortable shower. Breakfast was delicious, not crowded. The hotel is located 10-15 minute walk to Train Station, our room had river view. Neighborhood a bit in transition, but felt safe enough.

Loved the roominess and the design of our junior king suite. There is a food court and grocery store next door. Bus stops practically outside the door. Having had hotel breakfast for the last 3 weeks theirs is above average. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Location is somewhat out of the way but gentrifying. A laundry room on site for someone who has been on the road a bit is great.

Excellent experience at this hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, very comfortable. Interesting views of the city and the river. Immediately next door to a food hall and grocery store which was very convenient. Only drawback is the location; it's not close to many things besides the food hall and train station and the area felt kind of desolate at night. A considerable walk to the city center, otherwise great place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Bordeaux, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service we received during a difficult moment. My wife experienced a sudden dental emergency during our trip, and Nathan at the front desk went above and beyond to help us. He personally arranged a dentist appointment, ensured we had all the information we needed, and followed up to make sure everything was in place. His professionalism, compassion, and genuine care made all the difference. The hotel itself was modern, clean, and comfortable — everything you’d expect from a great Hilton stay — but the service we received, especially from Nathan, made it truly memorable. We can’t thank him enough. Highly recommended! Not just for the accommodations, but for the people who truly care.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights through a group agency. Arrival at the hotel took place 16-17 in the afternoon. As we were informed that the room was NOT ready claiming the cleaning services as an excuse. I find it unacceptable to say the least at 4pm the rooms are not ready and they use such excuses. The rooms were clean, spacious, with a fridge and a cafeteria. The breakfast was mediocre, with waffle or pancake baking options and the two cheese options were thick cut pieces. The quality of the coffee was below average (gave me a tummy ache). In contrast to the reception the breakfast staff were terribly helpful. The place where the hotel is located has only 1 bus that takes you to the centre from the top side already (palais de justice) and if you are near the lake you have to walk at least 10 mins. I think the city offers better accommodation options.

The team at Hilton Garden Inn Bordeaux wa exceptional!! They were professional and courteous, kind and especially helpful. Munson lost a treasured item, and they went out of their way to find and return it. In particular, Valentina and Justin were amazingly helpful and are wonderful spokespeople for the Hilton brand. The rooms were clean and beautiful. And the breakfast meals were impressive. We had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend a visit!

Absolutely loved the room. Clean, well isolated, comfortable, great shower. Didn't try the restaurant at the hotel but it's close to several great places to eat and it's pretty easy to walk to the city center or la gare.

Excellent hotel in Bordeaux city center. We were a family of 4 and stayed in the family suite. 20 mins walking from Place De Bourse and all the main parts of the city. Very good customer service at the hotel and they have a libel breakfast buffet downstairs.

The front desk Alphonse always smiles and provides a very good service and helps me to do the check-in. He deserves a raise!

I didn’t like the atmosphere of the hotel. First room I entered smelled like B.O. so I asked to change rooms. The 2nd one had a window that didn’t fully close. It’s January and very cold. I was very tired to ask them to change rooms or to ask for my money back so I stayed anyway. I parked the car in the car parking that belongs to carrefour. I don’t know if it’s the safest place because anyone could enter there. But the car was ok. One thing that’s not the hotel’s fault but I need to point out is that the city turn off the street lights at night, which makes it look very unsafe. So you don’t want to go out.
Fillipe C — Google review
Do not pay for breakfast here.. you can better spend 10€ right next to the hotel (Carrefour or a boulangerie). Rooms were not clean.. there were food remains on the floor like bread and watermelon seeds..
Claudia A — Google review
Far enough away to be quiet but only 10 mins (tram ride) from the centre of the city with great public transport
Ken B — Google review
Comfortable bed. The cleanliness could be improved. There wasnt any bin or toilet brush in the room. The receptionists are helpful and well mannered, most of them speak English and or Spanish as well. The location is good, close to the line A which takes you to the airport directly.
Juliana A — Google review
This is a two star hotel so don’t expect much finesse. Clean practical room. Budget another €20 to park the car as surrounding streets are on metre. Short walk over the bridge to wonderful Bordeaux old town.
Fiz N — Google review
The staff were universally lovely, and the location is fine, unfortunately I would not stay here again: - Terrible sleep due to noise that sounded like items dropping or falling all night over my head (maybe other doors opening and closing?) - Bed is so hard it feels like a slab of rock with a blanket over it, gave me a neck and headache - No mini fridge in room (minor annoyance but worth mentioning) Rooms are also claustrophobically small. I wouldn’t mind if it was super cheap (which it wasn’t) and quiet and comfy bed (which is didn’t have.)
Tobias M — Google review
Ok for a budget hotel, but not really a budget price - we paid less for higher graded hotels on our trip. The room was spotlessly clean. Included breakfast was basic. Good location in a lively area across the river. Good tram access into the city and to the airport.

All Suites Appart Hotel Bordeaux Centre Marne is a casual apartment hotel offering spacious studios with kitchenettes, a gym, and a sauna. The location is convenient, close to the flixbus station and within walking distance to the city center. Guests have praised the friendly receptionists and the comfortable rooms with nice views. The hotel provides value for money with its quiet private rooms equipped with comfortable beds, kitchens, and essential amenities.
The hotel is nice, as well as the service. If you are looking for something nearby the train station and with a possibility to make some tea in the evening, it is recommended.
Mariia M — Google review
Stayed here for a short visit to Bordeaux to see if the area can convert us to liking wine. The hotel worked out far better than the wine It's a basic hotel, but all rooms are apartment style with a basic European kitchenette. AC was real and very effective. Had to turn it off at some points as it got way too cold. It's a budget hotel, so some rough stuff edges, but all clean and functional. Great staff. Optional breakfast was buffet style with bacon, eggs, pastries, breads, cereals, cheese assortment, coffees, espresso, teas, juices, etc. Well worth it, and not presented as being that well provisioned in their sales pitch. Get it. One less thing to worry about in the morning, and fuel up for the day. Close to Gare St. Jean, and a bus line that will take you to the downtown core to connect with trams. The area seems to be getting de-gentrified, but much of Bordeaux seems like that out of the tourist core.
RC — Google review
Value for price is what really saves this hotel. It was easy to get to from the station and walking distance from the core. The room size was good, but overall was a little scuffed. Definitely needs some better up keeping. There was also a really bad smell coming from the shower drain. We covered it with a plastic bag and towel when not in use which helped a bit. Having laundry facilities available was a nice bonus after over a week of travelling, but the dryer took a long time. All the staff were really nice and pleasant. The neighbourhood seemed a little rough, especially at night, but wasn’t too bad.

Hotel with kitchen, spacious for two people. Walking distance to fresh produce market that you could buy fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood. Market only open till 2pm daily. Great location next to university of Bordeaux faculty of science building, with student housing/suite

Lovely place to stay! Room was clean and spacious and the staff were always friendly and happy to help. Location was slightly outside the city centre but very walkable and the bus and tram stops were nearby as well. Kitchenette was great as it had a fridge and the AC was perfect which was well needed in the hot weather. Would highly recommend

The staff was really nice, at least most of the staff that I've seen. They've been very helpful and provided a lot of information when asked for directions, even helped with the luggage. The hotel is situated in a great area, it's very close to the train station and close to tram stations that lead to the shopping area, restaurants, museums, etc. I presume I've stayed in the first/new building? I've read some reviews after my arrival and a lot of people have been complaining about the cleanliness of the hotel. Unfortunately, I have to agree with them. I don't know what the story is, but the bathroom was not cleaned properly. The walls of the rooms are probably quite thin, as I could hear other people talking nearby, and I've heard several bangs while I stayed in the hotel. Every time someone opened a window nearby there would be a loud noise. Also, I could feel a breeze while I was in bed, coming from the window close to me, and I can't explain how that was possible as the window was closed. Even though it's a great location and the staff was nice, I would not come back to this hotel.

The staff were really friendly and helpful and there was no issue for my wife to stay as well (I had booked for one, by mistake!) it was only a couple of euros extra for her for breakfast too. The breakfast was great, with lovely cheese and meats.

Great hotel, our 2nd time staying within 2 months, rooms are great, clean and quiet. Breakfast is worth the money alone, amazing! Staff are really attentive, we left something behind the first time and it was ready waiting for our return. The location is great, not too far to the centre with parking. Will be staying again!
Leon J — Google review
The room is very basic, location is not too bad, but the staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is rich, with gluten free options. I am not 100% sure if it is worth the money, a bit overpriced for a 3 star hotel
Peren A — Google review
The hotell in itself is a bit run down. BUT it is well compensated by the friendly, helpful and hard working staff! Good food in the restaurant. A Tram 19 min walk away takes you to whatever you like to go in Bordeaux. A lot of roadworks around the hotel (june 2024) makes it somewhat difficult to find.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the ibis Styles hotel in Bordeaux. It's a colourful quirky Hotel but very comfortable. The staff were Hospital. The only problem we had was finding the hotel as it is not clearly marked and we got the stuck in the one way system round the back Streets. A couple of signs at the both entrances would be very helpful for other people trying to find the hotel.

Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux, the ibis Bordeaux Centre Gare Saint-Jean is a modern budget hotel that offers guests complimentary Wi-Fi and a vibrant 24/7 bar where you can unwind with cocktails and light bites. Known as The Pearl of Aquitaine, Bordeaux enchants visitors with its stunning architecture along the Garonne River, from grand neo-Classical buildings to sleek contemporary designs. A visit here wouldn't be complete without exploring its UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the picturesque Quais de Bordeaux.
There is a lot of redevelopment work, buildings and trams, around the hotel but it is quiet and brilliantly located.

Si vous allez prendre un ferry ou venez d'arriver, cet hôtel est une excellente idée. Proche du port de ferry et agréable et simple. Suivez le GPS. In the dark it doesn't look like you are going to arrive but you do. There is a park next to the hotel if you have kids or dogs. Chiens acceptés 5€ par chien.
Catriona — Google review
This is literally the worst hotel experience I've ever had in my life. To start, the hotel is completely old and the rooms are falling into pieces. But the worst is how disgusting it is: bathroom tiles are yellow, completely dirty, marks all over the carpet, liquid stains on the walls, there was hair on the pillow when we arrived, no hand towels, no shampoo/conditioner, etc. Service is poorly done: bed not properly done (trust me, the pic here is how we found the bed the next morning), shower was clogged, we talked to the reception and they did nothing to help - they said the manager was not there. We asked to be transferred and they said it was not possible. We wrote an email to Accor and they said we should talk to the hotel staff, so we gave it up to avoid stressing even more during the trip. Bed is very uncomfortable, the mattress is actually just a thin layer, I've never seen it in a hotel. The hotel is also next to a big construction site, right beside it, there's noise everyday, neighborhood is super weird and dangerous. Ibis should be ashamed to have a hotel like this - and it is not even Ibis Budget!!!
Leonardo H — Google review
Clean and quiet room. Breakfast was good and fresh specially their Madeleine cake😋
Lala K — Google review
The area is under construction so quiet dirty. Rooms are tiny but that's OK. Friendly staff. Wish air con could push cooler air as it got very stuffy at night. Close.to tram so accessing city centre was easy.
Wendy P — Google review
I expected a certain standard but I was disappointed that the low expectations were not met 😒. No facilities for making tea or coffee in your room. Had to buy it in bar at 3 euros each cup. No hand towels. Just a bath towel each. Rubbish and dirty dishes not taken out of room during stay of 3 nights. The environment the hotel sits in is near train station but away from central shopping area but it is a very unsafe area apparently and not a pleasant area to walk around near dark!! I advise checking out the area before booking! 🤔
Rhonda B — Google review
The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the train station and there is a Lidl about 8 minutes to grab anything you need. The staff at the hotel are really nice and friendly. The bar area is very chilled and quiet which is nice. The rooms are nice but on the small side. The air con and heating unit doesn’t work which I’m guessing is a common thing because others have mentioned this (we stayed on the fourth floor). The shower was ok but varied in temperature and water would splash on the floor as the shower screen is not long enough (you may need to ask for another towel too if you are staying as a couple, as only 3 towels in the room). The noise outside isn’t too bad even though there is heavy traffic and we only spent our time in the hotel to sleep so all in all not a bad place to stay.
Martin K — Google review
Enjoyed a very nice stay here for a one-week work trip. The location was fantastic for this purpose, right next to the train station and less than 5 min walk from the tram. A well-stocked supermarket is right around the corner. Check-in and -out were fast and uncomplicated. Rooms were as described online - not huge but comfortable and clean, with air conditioning, which was a blessing during a very hot week. Breakfast was excellent, continental with many additional options and local specialties. Most importantly, the staff were great. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and spoke very good English. All in all excellent, especially for the price. Would heartily recommend to anyone traveling to Bordeaux, especially for work.

Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux, the ibis Bordeaux Centre Gare Saint-Jean Euratlantique offers a prime location just steps away from Saint Jean Train Station. This hotel is perfectly situated in a pedestrian square, making it easy to explore the city’s rich history and stunning architecture. A leisurely 20-minute stroll or a quick tram ride will take you to the vibrant city center, where you can immerse yourself in Bordeaux's captivating atmosphere.
The hotel was very close to the main railway station and had good restaurants nearby. Friendly staff. Good clean rooms.

Not very comfortable but decent room with very limited usable shelf space, ok cleanness. Very outdated facilities. Bathroom was clean but small. shower area was extremely small (2’ X 2’) even though we had a superior room. No hand towels were provided, only bath towels were available. Breakfast was mixed. On day one it was pretty good with hot and cold items including tomatoes. The next morning most food serving plates were empty. There were no eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, tomatoes, fruit, not even tea bags. All we had were sweets and breads. Later, a breakfast service person finally came. She started to slowly bring out some cheese and ham. And that was it.

Clean and spacious bedroom with a great service (friendly and helpful staff as well as decent breakfast). Location is perfect as it’s literally right across the train station. Would definitely recommend it as it’s a great value!

We stayed there one night in August 2025, with breakfast for two people. I payed 121€ while booking just the day before. The good: great location for travelers, AC worked in the room, not too loud, wifi worked well The bad: the breakfast was really cheap and basic, and the breakfast room was way too hot, they kept boiling water for eggs that nobody used, steaming the already hot room in the process. I'd take a breakfast somewhere else if I was you. The coffee was underwhelming, if you want to put milk in it use the milk from the counter, not the option in the machines. The room (209) was crammed, which is ok for the price paid, but also in a very bad shape, like if maintenance had been done by people that really didn't care. The bathroom in particular needed some work.
Renan L — Google review
Nice hotel, well located, I got an upgrade and the room was more than fine in terms of space. However, the bathroom was flooded every morning after my shower and the bed was not comfortable (bad quality of mattresses). The staff was extremely nice and helpful, ready to respond immediately to any requests. The breakfast was limited but of very good quality. Very small room though.
Aristides H — Google review
My recent stay was well below par. • No welcome drink was offered on arrival. • Bathroom Request. I specifically requested in advance a bath and was indeed given a room with one — but what I received was a bath I couldn’t even sit in! There were no taps (only a handheld shower), and when I tried to fill it, the water came out brown (see attached photo). Unusable and unhygienic. This experience felt careless and unwelcoming. I choose Ibis across the world expecting consistency and comfort. Sadly, this was neither.
Rob1nson — Google review
I did stay at your hotel for many years with good impressions. However, this time my room had an awful smell, which probably came from the bathroom. The toilet should have been replaced several years ago. I was surprised by a lack of water bottles, lack of a small refrigerator and lack of coffee machine. A three-star hotel should have these things for the guests in the room. It's not nice to charge guests 2 Euros for a cup of coffee! The breakfast room is too small, and the tables are too closely placed. The renovation of the hotel is needed.
Izak L — Google review
Relatively clean but arrive at least 30-40 mins early for every train ride. No one speaks English, ask at least 2 or 3 people which track. If you are told wrong track then you have to drag suitcases back downstairs and run, then back upstairs. "Carriages" are not marked, first train had 18 carriages and they are not in numerical order!! Last train had a carriage number and then a class, first or 2nd class, then a seat number. Fast and bumpy like airplane turbulence.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Bassins a Flot, Moxy Bordeaux is a trendy hotel that perfectly blends style and comfort. Just steps away from the iconic Cite du Vin and within easy reach of the mesmerizing Bassins des Lumieres, this hotel boasts an enviable location. Guests can unwind in chic rooms with river views or socialize in the spacious lobby, which features a lively bar serving local beers and delicious stonebaked pizzas.
Absolutely delightful stay. The staff went over the top to accommodate travelers. Lounge was spacious (classic Moxy) and rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Very short walk over to halles de Bacalan for food and to cité du vin for wine education. Downtown Bordeaux is 30-40 min walk along the river or hop on a tram. I would definitely stay here again next time visiting Bordeaux.

I didn’t have any issues with this hotel per se but I usually hope for a gym, some basic amenities like a coffee maker or electric kettle, etc. The room was very basic but I think that’s the point of the vibe in this hotel. Staff was friendly. A bit of a walk to the city center but close to the wine museum, grocery stores, and other places to eat.
Jessica Z — Google review
Urban-industrial style hotel. Very friendly and young staff. I was there with my best friend, we had a superior room with harbour view. The room was quiet small but that doesn't matter, in general you are only there for sleeping. Surprisingly, it was extraordinary quiet, we did not hear any door slamming, foot steps in the gangway, etc. Breakfast buffet is quiet small but there are excellent options near the hotel. If you start very early to a day trip, for example to Arcachon, the hotel breakfast ist a good option.

I’m a very loyal Marriott Bonvoy customer. And as such try to stay in Marriott properties whenever I can. This was one of the worst Moxys I’ve ever stayed at. Avoid at all costs. - was not recognized for my status - was incorrectly told I would get 10euro per day (it’s not the case it’s only *9 euro* per night and they would not honour this) - air con was not working - room was 26° and windows do not open - Location is outside the city - normally this would not be an issue if the Marriott brand was being followed - breakfast charge of 16€ was insane for the poor quality and selection. Riddled with flies.

Interesting location if you like to be away from main stream. I did not give a higher rating because of two points : 1) breakfast is quite poor in quality and cleanliness . No towel on the bread ; no instrument to pick croissant or danish ; coffee not good so better avoid . 2) not much in the room : no fridge , no coffee machine ; not even water. I did not find any fountain or ice dispenser on the floor. So ok hotel but overpriced.
Xavier R — Google review
Staff is nice and the rooms are OK, but dropping a star due to the poor air condition, and a window that doesn’t close properly in room 227. It wouldn’t have been so annoying if not for the very loud disco party across the water that’s been going for the past 5+ hours.

I must say I’m truly disappointed with the service of this hotel. I travel to many hotels but this is the first hotel I’ve stayed at where the staff couldn’t care less. I ask for a serviette and had the staff lady roll her eyes at me with the fact she had to help me. I then wanted to pay for a drink and I was standing at the reception and there were 3 staff members behind the bar doing nothing and they got irrated and they told me “ I’m busy just wait “ wow .. there was nobody in the lobby and they were on their cellphones in that moment . Just me and my partner were wanting drinks as our food was getting cold. Truly truly disappointing service . I won’t be back to moxy hotels again.

Good value for money, 24/7 staff on property, very small rooms, amazing central location. If you don't care about your room size too much (and why would you, you're in BORDEAUX! Get OUT!), then it's a great friendly hotel.

Very good hotel for the price. Excellent location right at the end of a main pedestrian street, although it’s quiet at night. The rooms are small but everything is clean. One small improvement could be the shower, the shower head was at a very difficult angle and needed to be held by hand to use effectively.

Hotel Life BG - Bordeaux Gare is a charming 18th-century building that has been renovated to offer a wide range of accommodations. The hotel's lobby and breakfast room are particularly appealing, and there is a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, with recycling assistance and advice on reusing towels. The staff is friendly and available 24 hours a day. The rooms are stylishly furnished, albeit somewhat small, but they are clean and well-maintained.
Great Value and Kind Staff Nice and clean 2-star hotel with a great price-quality ratio. Special thanks to the receptionist who noticed my girlfriend had a headache and kindly offered her a glass of water — a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot. Would definitely recommend!

This was a simple and clean accommodation near the center of the city. The rooms are small. Our room also had the shower stall in the room itself. We knew this before booking the room, but it could be an item that requires attention before booking. The toilet is in a separate small closet sized space. The bed was firm and to my liking. Be aware that there is no closet, and if you’re bringing several pieces of luggage you will have a hard time. The cleanliness seemed quite nice and frequently adhered to. The front desk staff were courteous and friendly. They were also quite good at speaking English if needed. The location was great because it’s only a 20 minute walk from the center of the city, and there’s a tram stop just outside the front of the hotel. Unfortunately, during our stay, tram B (the stop in front) was closed for several months due to construction. Once this reopens, I would find this an incredibly convenient location for your trip.

Very nice, clean and orderly. Service was excellent, they helped us out when we had a small medical emergency! Rooms were new and super clean, very good accomodations for two adults and two kids. The location is very practical, too. 10 minutes by foot to the train station, 15 minutes to the nice waterfront and the Quartier full of history!

We stayed here to explore the city of Bordeaux as well as the right and left bank for wine! The rooms are small but perfect for anyone looking for a clean and quaint place to sleep, the proximity to public transit is excellent - just a 5 minute walk to the Sainte-Croix station where you can bus to the heart of Bordeaux in less than 10 minutes at almost all times of the day, and the immediately surrounding location was safe (including at midnight when we would sometimes get back from the Sainte-Croix station). *Tip: If you're coming to this hotel from the Gare Bordeaux station, you may be concerned about the area, keep walking towards the hotel and it gets better :)

Ideal if you spend most of your days out of the hotel (I personally do when I go on city breaks). Air con was fantastic. Location was very close to train station but area is quite dodgy looking (sex shops and kebab shops). Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily however hotel is eco conscious and ask that you recycle your towels which is fine with me. Cocoon rooms are small but functional. The shower cubicle is actually inside the room which is a bit awkward when you're staying here with your sister ...

Good value overall. The room is small but workable . It is clean & quiet. Convenient location. Try to borrow an iron + ironing board but no luck is my main disappointment.

Hotel
Hotel Le Palais Gallien is a luxurious 5-star property located in the heart of Bordeaux. It offers an array of high-class facilities including twenty-seven luxury rooms and suites, some with private verandas and Jacuzzis, a cocktail bar and lounge, a gourmet restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, library, concierge services, and a rooftop terrace. The hotel's historic building dates back to 1895 and features opulent designs that resonate with its Roman origins.
We had a beautiful 5-night stay here. A little walk to the center of everything but we really enjoyed our walks to and from. Rooms were large, well-appointed. The sauna/spa area was wonderful, as was the jacuzzi on our patio. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only downside was guidance, which we asked for before arriving, regarding a wine tour. Despite a few requests, we never really received any guidance or suggestions. Thankfully, we did find a fantastic tour on our own (via Bordeaux Wine Trails). Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.
Sandra S — Google review
This hotel does not truly meet the standards of a 5-star property; at best, I would rate it 4 stars. The overall maintenance leaves much to be desired — some room doors were damaged, and in my room the glass bathroom door was broken. The level of service also does not reflect that of a genuine 5-star hotel. On a positive note, the staff was very polite and friendly, but they did not provide much assistance in helping guests discover or make the most of the hotel’s facilities. Cleanliness, in my opinion, was below expectations. In addition, the rooms are not soundproof, and you can hear everything from the surrounding areas, which made the stay less comfortable. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel.
Rosy C — Google review
I have mixed feelings on my stay here - the hotel is elegant and well maintained. The rooms are modern (but rather dark with very little natural light) the bed was comfortable although the pillows were not great, the shower was difficult to use, it took 10 minutes to work out how to use it as a button has jammed in the shower panel, housekeeping was efficient. In terms of location it was ok - located in a quiet residential area and a bit of a trek to the tram station and a 15 minute walk into the centre of Bordeaux. Overall I think it’s overpriced at nearly €500 per night given the location, quality of bed linens & pillows and the rather dark feeling of the rooms.

We loved the hotel! The room was spacious and clean and comfortable. We upgraded to a garden terrace view. All of the staff were wonderful. Great location! Highly recommended.

It was our last night in France before we headed to Paris to fly home so we wanted someplace special. Palais Gallien Hôtel & Spa was perfect, the valet met us outside at our car and took care of our bags from there as well as taking our car parked on a very small street to safe parking for the night. The check-in staff were so polite, informational, and professional. The rooms are beautiful with a modern bathroom and very clean. The front desk was available to recommend some delicious restaurants. There is a rooftop bar on the spa and wellness center which has amazing drinks as well as terrific service. They also have plenty of small bites if you wanted to make a meal on the rooftop. If you’re in Bordeaux, I highly recommend staying here!

We loved our stay at Hotel Le Palais Gallien! Staff was incredibly welcoming and courteous and took pride in their work - they want their guests to enjoy their stay. Rooms were very clean and spacious with a gorgeous spa shower. Our room overlooked the pool area and the main building which provided a lovely backdrop. It was nice being just outside the city center (a 5-10 minute walk) with easy access to everything without the crowds of the city center. We would definitely stay here again on any future trips to Bordeaux!

Beautiful hotel! Rooms were lovely and the staff was outstanding - went out of their way to be responsive, helpful with reservations, answer questions, etc. Excellemt customer service. Special thank you to Angelina, Vicktoria and two young women who ran the breakfast room.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and super friendly and helpful staff! They were even kind enough to decorate our room and leave birthday cake for my husband's birthday. Hotel is in a quiet area about 15 minutes (walking) outside of the city center. We did not mind the walk. We would stay here again.

EXCEPTIONAL FOOD & service ! Completely deserve the ⭐️⭐️Michelin star awarded to them ! We felt like royalty with so much attention and elegance in the service. The food is the best food I have ever tried in my life paired with the absolute best wines. I have no words to describe what you will experience in this place, other than Perfection. We took the 4 course menu and it was more than enough to have an extraordinary experience!! The chef came to greet us and explain the food preparation. Special thank you to our waiter Florient, the sommelier that explained every wine in detail and the rest of the many people staff that made our night unforgettable!

A wonderful restaurant, which really deserves its reputation. We took the 6 dishes menu and they were all excellent ! Especially the ravioli stuffed with almand, served with girolles and a parmesan cream. Moreover, the service was perfect and the restaurant room is beautiful and the atmosphere is cosy.

Gorgeous room, warm reception. The hotel entrance is very tight, in the front hall, and there are no facilities-just a breakfast room, dining room and the rooms upstairs. Kudos to the staff, for calling my husband and I to wake for breakfast which they brought to our room so we wouldn’t miss it-and are we glad we didn’t, it is extraordinary. The restaurant was very very good, although the service seemed very young and a bit overdone. We felt stifled.

Let me tell you, the service here is real treat. But the focus was the wine and the food. French to the bones. Clean professional and very tasty. Had the tasting menu for lunch with only two flaws. The first was the tuna tartar as it had mortadella. And the second was the raspberry dessert as it came melted already. Everything else was out of this world. I was afraid to go there as the chef suddenly chafed but it was worth it. On top of the great food quality and presentation, the ambience of the restaurant is mid ages French in everything and staff are so pro.

Hotel
La Maison Bord'eaux Hotel is a boutique retreat in central Bordeaux, occupying an 18th-century coaching inn and a modern building. The hotel offers minimalist rooms with unique names, some featuring terraces and balneotherapy tubs. Guests can enjoy breakfast in a light-filled dining room or on the terrace, as well as sample local wines at the wine lounge. Situated just minutes from downtown and close to public gardens, this hotel provides a convenient and stylish base for exploring Bordeaux.
Had a tremendous time staying at La Maison Bordeaux. From the first moment that we were met at reception to the our departure, I cannot fault the staff and their dedication. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was excellent, the TV has a smart option so that you may connect to your own personal streaming apps, the air-con is a welcome feature (not all that common in France) and the room size was perfect. My only gripe was that the WC was literally that - a toilet in a tiny closet and then you had to cross the room to the shower area where the sink was located to wash your hands. An odd design choice. The main city centre is accessible by tram - there are two stops equidistant on Rue Fondaudége at the corner.
Dave O — Google review
We stayed in room 003, and unfortunately the experience with this particular room was not very comfortable. The entrance is directly from the inner courtyard, so when you open the door you immediately face the bed. This arrangement leaves no privacy and forces you to keep the heavy curtains closed at all times, which means there is no natural daylight inside. Breakfast is served in the courtyard on sunny days, which also means people may be sitting right in front of the windows — again, not ideal. The biggest issue for us, however, was the bathroom. There was a very strong and unpleasant odor that could be noticed even in the bedroom with the door closed. The bathroom was also designed for people with reduced mobility, which wasn’t very convenient for us. We didn’t request to change rooms, since we had already unpacked and didn’t want to move everything again. The only real advantage of this room is the spacious walk-in closet. Upon checkout, the receptionist kindly asked about our stay, and when I explained the bathroom issue, she mentioned that if we had told her earlier, she would have tried to resolve it right away. As an apology, she generously offered us one day of free parking, which we truly appreciated. Overall, the service was attentive, but if you are assigned room 003, I would recommend asking for a different one
Elena A — Google review
The rooms are modern and spacious, and the bed is large and comfortable. The shower has oodles of hor water. The breakfast had something for everyones taste. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The only thing I found strange about the design of the room was the lack of a hand basin in the toilet. However, that is a small point and would not put me off returning if I revisited Bordeaux in the future. It is centrally located, a short walk to all the many visitor attractions.

We had 3 wonderful evenings here at La Maison. The staff was so warm & welcoming here, and very helpful during our stay with great restaurant suggestions. Our room was comfortable, clean & efficiently laid out. Breakfast was outstanding w/ many delicious choices to start your day, coffee & croissants were just fantastic. The interior courtyard is a pleasant & relaxing place to sit w/ a glass of Bordeaux wine after sightseeing all day. We would return here as we felt this was a very nice spot & a good value during our travels. Merci, La Maison!

Nice boutique type hotel. Our room was spacious but a bit dingy and wet room type shower flooded out across bathroom floor. Couple of items missing at breakfast 😕, bread being one of them! The location is good but some trams not working due to maintenance on lines so a lot of walking, which we don't mind but some might. Quiet.
Anne R — Google review
The staff was amazing and made everything to make us feel comfortable we traveled with a toddler and in this hotel we felt like we were home. They arranged a beautiful wine tour and made restaurant reservations for us. Always received us with a smile. Breakfast could improve but overall an amazing and beautiful experience.

We stayed at this hotel for five days and liked it a lot. Advantages: exceptionally well managed by highly responsive and knowledgeable staff; generously sized rooms; good restaurants in the neighborhood; hotel can arrange self-parking for €20 per day. Disadvantage: you have to walk about 20 minutes to historical center of Bordeaux (part of the distance can be covered by using a tram).
Albert J — Google review
We loved this place so much. The staff was excellent, a massive shout out to Isabella. She organized our two-day stay in 15 minutes. She helped us with food reservations, and both restaurants were splendid. We really wanted to visit the chateau but didn’t pre-book anything, and on such short notice, she sorted the reservation out. Because of her, our whole trip to Bordeaux worked out well, and we will remember it forever. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The location is amazing, a 10-minute walk to the city center. I really do not have a single complaint about the place. A massive thank you, and we will come back.

L'Hôtel Particulier Bordeaux is a charming accommodation housed in a 19th-century townhouse. The hotel offers elegant guest rooms with Nespresso machines and apartments equipped with kitchenettes, blending historic charm with modern amenities. The cozy rooms feature elegant moldings, marble fireplaces, and parquet floors, while the urban-style apartments overlook the courtyard.
The young lady at reception was very nice to us and gave us her recommendations to site seeing and dinner. Hotel room is very spacious, hotel's location couldn't be better at half block from Cathedral. Very clean with fridge, french press coffee at your own room. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom.

Very nice hotel. I love the room I stayed in. It was very nice. The women at reception were exceptional and helpful. The only complaint I have is the breakfast. It is 20 euro but I don't think it's worth it. There was very little food. A croissant, some bread, yogurt, and fruits. Also, no one was there really to great or help you. The women there were in the back talking the whole time. If you want good breakfast, go to sip coffee down the street. It's less than 20 euros and better food
Rechee J — Google review
Overall we had a lovely stay; location near St St Andre's Catgedral, shopping and restaurants. I chose the hotel for its history and setting.. The main complaint is the lack of attention to details: my elegant balcony room didn't have a kettle despite asking for one. I was asked to use the kettle in the breakfast room which was inconvenient(we stayed for 8 nights). Customer service was average -cleansing gel and lotion weren't replaced for two days. We never got more hangers after we requested for more. Bathroom layout and toilet was odd. We had to sleep with ear plugs as one of the windows facing the Main Street could not shut properly (trams ran late and started early). But I did enjoy staying at the hotel as I absolutely loved the feel of the "old world" architecture, decor and view.
Sharon G — Google review
While the hotel is in a fairly convenient location, it is one of the craziest places I’ve stayed in a long time. I’m not sure why people give this hotel good reviews! The room was weird and completely haphazard and rundown. The breakfast was a rip-off at 20€ each. The courtyard was filled with smokers so we could not leave the windows on our courtyard view open. There was rarely anyone at the front desk. The whole experience was disappointing and sad because it could have been so much nicer. I would not stay at this property again.
Debra M — Google review
One of my most enjoyable stay in my France trip. The lady in reception really try to make sure that our stay is okay, it was so attentive and nice. I take the loft room, really spacious and equipped with cooking utensils. Location so close to Cathedral, it is much easier to get there with tram that taxi/bolt even if you bring a lot of luggage. The downside is just my stay only for a night
Alexander B — Google review
Really central location with access to everything a short walk, and trams to everywhere else. Rooms were comfy clean and cool in the heat. Well equipped. The central courtyard with its chairs and plants and evening lighting was a nice tranquil place to sit and have some wine. The staff were friendly and really helpful
Gary T — Google review
We had two nights in Bordeaux and this hotel was perfect for our needs. Ideal location, and great staff who were both very knowledgeable and helpful. We felt very safe and secure for our stay. The room was well appointed and spacious. We did not need to use the cooking facilities but everything was there should we have needed to. This was my second stay, if you are looking for an authentic French experience in the heart of Bordeaux, that is very good value for money, this is the place for you.
Anna W — Google review
Our only complaint was that we didn't have more time here! The staff was so accommodating for our late check-in and left the most thoughtful treats and notes in our room. The room was one of the most spectacular hotel rooms I've stayed in. If we'd had extra time I would have spent an entire day just soaking it all in. Such an incredible historical space with unique touches. Highly recommend!! Easy access to local tourist destinations too.

Villas Foch is an elegant hotel housed in a 19th-century mansion, discreetly located on a tree-lined street in Bordeaux's Golden Triangle. The restored neoclassical interiors exude grandeur and sophistication, with modern art adorning the ornate yet intimate lobby. The property offers 20 contemporary rooms, including the luxurious Suite Foch boasting a separate sitting room and balcony with views of Place des Quinconces.
A lovely hotel with a warm, welcoming staff. I won't repeat what others have said about what makes this hotel so nice, and I would return without hesitation, but I will share a few comments to keep your expectations in check. This is a small boutique hotel - more like a great 4 star, rather than a great 5 star. The little touches are nice - like a complimentary minibar with drinks with a couple of snacks, a nespresso machine with pods, and a pillow menu. The housekeeping staff were excellent and left sweet notes on our bathroom mirror :) One thing that I did not like was the added 5% on the bill at the end of the stay as gratuity for all of the staff. That 5% was over $100 for a 2 night stay. (yes, they did make me aware of this at the time of booking, but with all of the trip planning, I had forgotten). What happened is that I had forgotten and left generous tips for housekeeping during the stay. So as not to create awkwardness at the end, I paid the extra 5% but it was not a great way to end the stay. I think a hotel of this caliber should re-consider that policy and ensure that the hotel rates include all necessary expenses so there are no additions at the end.

I had an absolutely delightful stay from start to finish—every moment was pure enjoyment. The location was unbeatable, the service impeccable, and the staff incredibly warm and attentive, all far exceeding my expectations. But what truly stood out was the impeccable cleanliness; in all my travels and countless hotel stays, this was the first time I've encountered bedding and pillows that were spotlessly pristine and fresh. I couldn't recommend this place more highly!
Avsar C — Google review
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. We absolutely loved Bordeaux and villas Foch was the perfect place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly and always made sure we were comfortable. The room was always spotless after cleaning and left us chocolates and treats in the room. I cannot say enough about the service here! The location was excellent, quiet area of the city right by the tram. But walkable to most areas in the city. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bordeaux.

A fantastic hotel. Arrival experience was exceptional and our room was very nice (large for a European hotel.) They arranged our transport from the airport flawlessly. The only thing we skipped was the breakfast because it appeared to have been sitting out for some time. We'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed two nights in the Jr suite and enjoyed every moment here. The service is exceptional- on par (and beyond) with The Four Seasons resorts. The sauna, pool and gym are excellent. The breakfast is wonderful. I highly recommend and would stay again.
Tifani B — Google review
Some places you know will linger in the heart long after you've checked out—and Hotel Villas Foch is one of them. Nestled in a perfect pocket of Bordeaux, its elegance is effortless, its charm immediate. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a hotel and more like a beautifully curated home away from home. We stayed in a Junior Suite, and it was nothing short of sublime. Spacious and serene, the layout offered the luxury of a separate bedroom, living room, and bathroom—each space thoughtfully designed for comfort and quiet indulgence. We appreciated the air conditioning on an exceptionally hot day in May. But beyond the beauty of the space and the unbeatable location, what made our stay unforgettable was Xulia. Xulia is, without a doubt, the heart of Villas Foch. Warm, radiant, and genuinely invested in her guests' experience, she went above and beyond for us—organizing exquisite wine tours through the Bordeaux countryside and arranging smooth airport transportation with a gracious ease that made it all seem effortless. She brings a personal magic to the place, the kind that turns a trip into a treasure. Calling Xulia a gem doesn't feel like enough—she is a rare and brilliant presence, and Villas Foch is all the more special because of her.

A huge thank you to Mr. Kabbani for making our stay so special and for going above and beyond to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday with thoughtful gifts in our room and at departure. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the service was exceptional. Truly worth more than five stars! Our trip to Bordeaux wouldn’t have been the same without them.

Amelia and her team were brilliant - such a friendly hotel, in a fantastic location. Lovely room, clean, with lots of thoughtful details - coffee machine appreciated! Good wifi (needed to work some of the time I was on holiday!). I was here on my own, and had a brilliant time in the city. There's lots to do and see. Not just lots to drink! Point to note for single women travellers - good hotel for this, Bordeaux also felt safe to walk around too.

HM is a great value for the money. Location is excellent. Staff could not have been more helpful. The front desk is staffed 24 hours. This is a 3 star hotel in an old building. It is boho stylish, mildly quirky in shape and space. The floors may creak a bit, and the rooms have some mild eccentricities, but that’s what you find in old converted buildings. We appreciate the arty vibe, and the location is perfect. Clean and good value for the money. We love 5 star, 4 star and 3 star hotels, and we especially love the ones that are good value, fun and accurately meet their ranking. Is this a 4/5 star? Nope. Is this a fun, art vibe, slightly boho 3-star hotel in an excellent location with a great staff? Yep! We’d stay here again.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Staff are welcoming, helpful & friendly. Lovely room with quirky features. Although there is no onsite dining room, the offer is there to have breakfast delivered to your room.. Location is perfect as it is the centre of the city but is quiet enough.. No air conditioning but fans - both ceiling and rotary helped to keep us cool...

This is a lovely, friendly independent hotel! The location is very central but it was still completely quiet at night. The room had a kettle and coffee machine which can be uncommon for similarly priced hotels in France so that was a bonus. I especially appreciated the recommendations for local boulangeries and cafés via WhatsApp - Boulangerie Guillaume and Suzzi in particular were great suggestions! Thank you to Amelia and the team for being so friendly and helpful during my stay.

We come to this hotel in December and bring our dog with us. The location is fantastic for the city. The warm welcome that we received is also very heart warming. As others have said, the 5* reviews seem slightly undeserved based on our own experience.. Clean and well located, but fell short on many other aspects: - EXTREMELY small room. For that price point I have never experienced such a small / cluttered room. - Very poor security. Required to leave room key (right next to entrance) when going out. Desk is sometimes unattended and anyway they twice gave us the key to someone else’s room. We put our belongings in the car to avoid theft. - Problem with the electrics. Our iPhones became extremely hot when charging? - Decor is quite poor - the hallways haven’t been updated since it was an office / apartment building. Quite depressing travelling to and from room. - Broken lift (need to push the button about 5x to call it) - Poorly ventilated / bad odour in room. Cheap fans provided but far too noisy for such a small room, so struggle to get a good nights sleep. Overall - acceptable as a €100 a night budget boutique but above this price point it’s a very poor deal. Better hotels available in Bordeaux...

For a low budget hotel, this place was the ticket! I was a little worried about the kitchy decor ( the theme is 3D artwork) but in actuality, it was better in person and felt comfortable. The staff were great! Very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable, but I agree with another review that the bathrooms need more lighting. The location is within walking distance to the train station, tram lines, and lots of cafes and restaurants. This hotel is a great value!

Newly refurbished hotel. Nice clean and tidy rooms. Bathroom could do with a little more lighting. I get the feeling the area is being modernised as some of it looks very run down. These elegant apartments while on a busy square are quiet (due to the double glazed windows) are outfitted with extremely comfortable beds, have generous touches to make your stay comfortable (like espresso pods, free water, robes and slippers), and managed by an extremely efficient and generous host. We loved our stay in 2 apartments in Villa Reale and when we return to Bordeaux we will definitely stay here!

This is a great property! We stayed in the Leopard d'Or Suite on the 2nd floor. Centrally located right on the Place du Parliment in Bordeaux but wonderfully quiet with the insulated windows. Beautifully appointed. Kitchen and bathroom amenities were plentiful. Even your own washer/dryer combo! Alice Henry was available to answer any questions and help arrange for taxi services to the train station. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Bordeaux. Easy to arrange tours to nearby wineries and towns. We loved St. Emilion. Lovely find!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Reale Bordeaux! The apartment is in the perfect location — right in the heart of the old town and just a 5-minute walk from the famous Miroir d’Eau. It’s situated in a beautiful square with plenty of great restaurants right outside your door. The building itself is full of charm, blending historic character with modern comfort. The apartment was spotless, with a super comfortable bed, a fantastic rain shower, and all the modern amenities you could need — including a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. Daily cleaning was a nice bonus, and with only three apartments in the building, it was incredibly peaceful and quiet for sleeping. We had a wonderful time in Bordeaux and would 100% come back to Villa Reale Bordeaux. Highly recommended!

Stellar, beautiful and modern luxury apartment in recently restored 18th century building, with balconies overlooking magical square (full of restaurants and night life) and short walk to ‘The Mirror’ and many other sights.

Really nice hotel in a great location. Being just around the corner from the busiest section of the city means that you are centrally located but isolated from the noise. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Parking is not cheap at about €27 per night, but it's close by. Breakfast is nothing special with no cook to order. The staff was helpful.

We stayed 5 nights at this boutique hotel, centrally located in Bordeaux. The hotel is in an 18th century building which is completely modern with comfortable amenities. Our room was spacious with a luxurious bathroom, very quiet, and pleasingly sophisticated. We had an excellent breakfast in-house. The hotel is on a quaint cobblestone street just around the corner from the Grand Theatre (opera house), with tons of restaurants and shops nearby. Several tram stations are within walking distance and you can walk to some of the attractions and museums or take any of the 3 convenient tram lines nearby. The front desk was very helpful on arrival and throughout our stay with suggestions of what to visit. We did have a medical emergency while at the hotel, and the front staff took care of connecting us with the local emergency services for transport to the ED. Overall, highly recommended!
Bryan W — Google review
We booked here very late in the day due to a change of location and trying to find somewhere that was central due to a lack of time. Let's start with location which is very very good it's right where you need to be on a back street just close to the Opera house and everything you need honestly the location is perfect it's worth booking just for that. The entrance is downstairs so you have to go up a floor to get to the reception which is nicely laid out with stain glass windows in an old building that they have done good work to turn into a hotel. Check in was smooth and easy and really friendly service. It's a smaller hotel and a nice feel to it our room was on the top floor and was a club room. Now if you have travelled around France room sizes are normally smaller but this felt even more compact then I expected considering we didn't have the smaller room but it's nicely laid out clean and has everything and anything you need there is a nespresso machine with 2 capsules to give away. The bathroom is large and has plenty of mirror space and a good sized shower. So I mean it's a perfect location lovely service but the room is just to small for my liking but perfect for a short stay in a great location with good sound proofing windows so no noise comes in.

This property offers the perfect location, within walking distance of most of the highlights Bordeaux center has to offer. It's quiet, clean, with friendly staff and a nice breakfast to start the day. One particular staff member, Emilie, deserves special mention for providing exceptional dinner suggestions for every evening. All of them were outstanding; she even went to the effort of securing a reservation and following up with us after our meal. This level of personal attention and service sets this hotel apart from many others we stayed at during our vacation.
Jim O — Google review
Staff couldn't have been more helpful, translated for us, waited on us hand and foot. They helped my partner find a dinner place to propose in and left us the sweetest message and sweet treats after. Room was cleaned and maintained beautifully and location was perfect for close by shopping and dining. Even made us breakfast to go with fresh coffee the day we left early to catch our flight. Brilliant service all round.

HotelF1 Bordeaux Ville Aréna is a contemporary budget hotel that offers bright, private rooms at an affordable price, making it an excellent choice for travelers seeking comfort without breaking the bank. Located just outside downtown Bordeaux, this hotel provides easy access to the city's attractions while maintaining a youthful and vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of a backpackers' hostel. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and free self-parking during their stay.
Close to the city center with free parking. Helpful staff and clean rooms. Absolute worth the money.

Worst hotel we’ve ever been!!! Not even pillows they had, we had to ask for it. After discussions we got it, super dirty, stinky, no heat even in winter, no soap it was mixed with water. Shared bath rooms in a hotel?! You have to pay more to get a private bath room. Tiny rooms and bath room. It’s better to sleep in the car. The boss said it’s not cold enough to start the heats
Musti M — Google review
Cheap. Wallpaper charged with travel posters, a bit much on arrival, but warmed to it. A review for the staff on evening arrival and 5am départ. Very helpful and with real smiles. Not good for the centre and corridor toilets but slept well for 6 hours so practical.
Andrew M — Google review
It is exactly what you pay for. It is in the middle of an industrial park and the bathrooms do not have soap, but it's safe and the rooms are clean. Soap would have been cool
Evelyn ( — Google review
Super friendly staff and good parking, with a fence that closes at night. Beds are basic but ok so a good place to stay when you’re travelling.
J A — Google review
Overall for what the hotel offers and its price was good: private bathroom and big bed, privacy. The drawbacks was the absence of cleaning staff during my stay, no shampoo and soap for my room and that the hotel is a bit far from the center.
Issam K — Google review
Pros: Very friendly receptionist at check-in; liked the decor of the room; very clean. Cons: Rather noisy (other guests); a bit of an odd location; we were approached rather rudely around 12 noon on check-out day, although we we had booked a late check-out. The lady was very demanding and not friendly and only grudgingly accepted that we had indeed pre-booked the late check-out... All in all decent value for money.

Little rooms near the highway and town centre. But in between migrants or homeless people living in tents. We felt not save to walk back in the Dark.

B&B Hotel is a budget hotel located close to the train station in Bordeaux. All of the rooms are air conditioned and come with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom. Breakfast is available daily and includes Continental and buffet options.
I really like the premises, but it was a bit hard to find from the parking area. It is in a different building and there were not clear indications to the hotel from the parking. Also I find the charge for the stay of my dog a bit expensive. I have a very small dog, very well educated, I travel around the world with him.
Cristina P — Google review
Room was super small very disappointed for the price paid. Hotel would be an upscale version of Backpackers accommodation. Reception staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was disappointing, presented like a cafeteria in a highschool. Only scrabbled available very dry, bacon swimming in oil. Lady behind the counter was avoiding questions from guests, when asked for help was a huffy effort. Save your $ avoid paying for breakfast. Hotel is short walk from main station, our room faced the station with a view of the poor homeless community living under the bridge.
Jessina R — Google review
It is near the Bordeaux Saint Jean train station, if that is what you are interested in catching trains. But it is far away from city center and other worthy visiting places of the city. Service is less than any one of the USA major hotel chains, including budget chains. The hotel does not give you discount if you stay more than one night, but discounts further its already subpar services after the first night. You become its captive guest after the first night. Rooms are pitiful. There is no chair to sit except a single uncomfortable stool without back support. There is no sufficient desk surface to even write a short shopping list. No pen or paper provided either. There is no storage space for personal belongings. Bathroom is the worst. The shower stall is about 4 by 2 feet with a single 2.5 feet glass panel as enclosure. There is no door or curtain to prevent water from splashing out of the stall to the bathroom floor. The consequence is a very wet bathroom floor after taking a shower, no matter how careful you try to prevent this from happening. I booked this hotel since it is close to the train station. But I learned the hard way. Pitfalls mentioned above could not possibly make up the benefit of train station proximity. This is not just a singular oddity at this particular hotel. This is the business model of this hotel chain. I will not again stay in any hotel of this hotel chain.

Solo work trip. Stayed for just one night. The staff was very very friendly and attentive. Felt very welcome. Tatiana has super helpful. The room was spacious, big and confy bed. Loved the coton linnens. Soft. All hotels that i have been with that kind of AC ventilations..dont make the room chill or at the desired temperature. Could not make it colder than RT. WC was tiny..but enough. All very clean. Breakfast was very basic..could improve a bit. Overall..very decent stay.
Marina Z — Google review
We like B & B. Comfortable, good breakfast, great showers, convenient locations. On this occasion the air conditoner in the room was all but useless. AND this quite new hotel is missing the mark. We drove there and Google Maps could not find this hotel. We went all around it and kept finding "route barré." In the end we parked illegally a short distance away and walked. The obvious entry to Allée du Corail is blocked by a bollard and Google Maps could not find the other end. B&B need to put instructions how to drive to this hotel on their app and website. A parking space to drop off with bags is essential. At the moment, if you have a car, you should avoid the harrowing experience of trying to drive there.
John R — Google review
I booked this at the last minute as my original accommodation did not meet expectations. My room was available immediately and the staff were very helpful. The rooms are spacious and it was quiet overall. Beds very comfy. Would like some extra amenities such as tea/coffee in the room, or a fridge, but regardless, it. Was simple and comfortable and I ended up booking a second stay in the same accommodation as a result of the positive experience
Ronan D — Google review
A last minute decision,so did not expect much. We were very pleasantly surprised,as the rooms were comfortable, well equipped, clean and well laid out. Glad that this hotel decided to get rid of the unhygienic carpeting, still present in most hotels in this price range. USB ports at the bedside tables, outlet that accepts both EU and North American plugs in the bathroom. Good water pressure and height of the shower. All in all very good value for money. Location is OK if you travel by tram or car. 1 stop from Gare St.Jean. Paid parking close by and helpful and friendly staff. An idea might be putting dustbins in the bedroom and not only in the bathroom. Better value in my opinion than many higher priced hotels.

I had a great stay at Hotel Konti! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Bordeaux, close to everything. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Great stay in Bordeaux! We had a lovely stay at Hotel Konti. Richard took great care of us and provided excellent support when we arrived. The hotel is perfectly located close to shops and restaurants. Housekeeping did a great job freshening up the room daily and replenishing tea/coffee supplies.

1. Excellent location — 10/10. All main sights are just around the corner, everything is within walking distance. The area is full of restaurants, cafés, and shops. Parking is only 2 minutes away, €24 per day. The hotel is dog friendly 🐾 — €20 extra per dog. Staff are polite and very welcoming. 2. Rooms are small, but that’s quite normal for France, especially for a hotel right in the city center. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen is of great quality. 3. Breakfast was the main disappointment: very modest and limited for a 4-star hotel, and the coffee was really poor. We had exactly the same breakfast in a budget Ibis, which felt underwhelming. Also, there was no bottled water in the room, which you would normally expect in a hotel of this category. ✨ Overall, the hotel left a very positive impression thanks to its location, comfort, and the friendliness of the reception team. Many thanks to the staff for their hospitality!

Location is excellent - you can visit most places on feet leisurely (within 10-20 min). Take tram (line B : Gambetta stop) just 2 min walk. Another greatness is the people (hotel staff) here. Always helpful, greeting with pleasant smiles. You know they are really open their hearts to help you. I particularly adore the lady who greet us on 1st day of check-in. (Lady called Evangelina - probably wrong spelling) One improvement will be grateful : put some W-40 lubricants at door hinges and door knobs ( especially the bathroom door) would make the door works smoothly.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Konti!! We were just here for one night as we were traveling but would definitely return. After a long day of travel we were ready to get to hotel and they were so accommodating and had our rooms ready early. Our room had a lovely balcony and the beds were very comfortable. The Radisson Blu Hotel in Bordeaux offers contemporary and stylish accommodation with a range of amenities. Located in the vibrant city, it is conveniently close to popular attractions such as La Cite du Vin and the Chaban-Delmas Bridge. The hotel features luxurious rooms with complimentary WiFi, a rooftop bar, spa, and a mini-golf course. Guests can enjoy regional cuisine at the on-site Wellman restaurant.
Perfect option for a short term stay in Bordeaux. We were delighted to spend two nights at this beautiful hotel. Smooth check-in (as a Radisson VIP member), our room was upgraded to the corner room with a stunning river view. The personal was super friendly, especially the receptionist guy with curly hair named Mathias, he was so kind, hospitable and professional! He helped us with every requests we had during the stay! The breakfast was quite regular, there was not much options to choose from, but since it was complementary I can’t complain at all. The rooftop bar and restaurant was really nice during the late evening, we had a few cocktails and I would highly recommend to try the Caipirinha there! Location was ok, you can reach the center by 35-40 minutes walking or 15 minutes by tram. Overall, I would give this hotel a solid 9 out of 10 and looking forward to come back here in the nearest future!
Georgi S — Google review
We stayed for 2 nights, as I had some points to use up before expiration, so we thought we'd stay in this area to go to Cite du Vin but also go on the tram into town. The location is pretty good, but our room, 222, is right above the gym. The main gym closes around 6, but after that there are private sessions all night long, until about 11 or 12 PM, and there's banging noises constantly, probably from weights being dropped to the floor or similar. And they start again at 6 in the morning. When we complained, it was a known issue... so why do you keep putting guests in that room, Radisson Blu??? Really disappointing in that respect only, apart from that, the hotel seems fairly quiet. We got another room for the second night, 422, which was better but still some banging noises although pretty faint, not like it came from next door. Maybe they keep these 'bad' rooms for reward nights only? If I'd paid for this stay, I'd be pretty upset. We won't come back to this hotel. It did take a lot of complaining to get a new room though, the receptionist acted like she didn't believe me, took me to the gym to show me it was shut. I had to go outside and walk around to see that there were still people in the gym mezzanine, showed the receptionist but all she said was that it was quiet right that moment. Poor service, but she did finally give me another room, although still above the gym but higher. Note that the Aircon wasn't functional because it's classed as winter time, so you cannot change the temperature or fan speed. There's a tiny window that can be opened for some airflow. The details in the toilet and bathroom are pretty poor, marks on the tiling, shower tray doesn't keep the water inside. After the first night, we put the 'please make my room' sign out, when we came back in the afternoon the sign had gone, but the room hadn't been serviced. We had to call the maid to get some fresh towels and coffee pods, so I don't know what sort of system they use to track which rooms they have done.
Geert K — Google review
The reception staff were polite and welcoming, the view from my window was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, and the soundproofing excellent. Check-in was delayed, but the hotel offered a small gift as compensation. However, the location on the google map was shown incorrectly, which made my arrival more difficult. The sink in the bathroom didn’t drain properly. Breakfast was disappointing, with very few options, more like an Ibis Budget. The staff in the breakfast room were rude – one lady laughed at me when I asked for plain white eggs, and the result was burned and greasy. At check-out, extra services were added to my bill by mistake and removed only after I pointed it out.
Denis A — Google review
Disappointing Experience with Room Upgrade Our group had booked several rooms at the hotel, and I was one of the guests who had reserved an upgraded room. As the last person in the group to check in, I was given a room that did not match the standard of the upgraded room I had booked. When I raised this with the hotel, I was told that I could only receive a room matching my original upgrade if I paid an additional fee per night—even though such rooms were available. This is not the level of service I would expect from a hotel chain of this reputation. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that fell short of expectations. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously to improve future guest experiences.
Abdiweli A — Google review
We recently spent four days at the hotel, I know this contradicts what others are saying but the service at the hotel is absolutely awful. At check-in we were given the wrong room number, the air conditioning was poor, the fridge in our room was useless. The rooftop restaurant provides bland food and awful service, our room was never serviced properly and on the third day we spoke to the person on reception who said they would speak to housekeeping about it, all they did was open the door and throw in bathrobes and slippers, on top of that we returned later to find the car park full, even though we had been charged for parking for our entire stay, when I asked on reception where I could park they struggled to say, a simple map would have been so useful. I did ask if I could speak to a manager but was told they were on holiday, it seems there was no body in charge of the hotel it was nothing more than a free for all. I expect someone from the hotel will respond with the usual "we are sorry, it's not up to our usual standards etc" save your time and energy and do something about it as i would hate anyone else having to go through the same experience we did.
Kevin J — Google review
We did have to change rooms on arrival as the first one smelled musty with stained carpet, the next room was very nice and no complaints. Spa really nice. Easy to get to centre of town and cite du vin

It offers spacious apartments with complimentary Wi-Fi and kitchenettes. The resort is also 150 metres from the Chartrons tram stop as well as a 15-minute walk to Bordeaux City Centre.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel as it is conveniently positioned nearby a tram station that takes you into the city centre in 10 minutes. The room kept me very warm during the cold winter and the customer service from the front desk was amazing. My only gripe is there should be more shampoo and conditioner options as well as a lounge in the reception area. Other than that, I hope to be back!

Great Stay – Comfortable and Convenient! Despite some reviews mentioning the firm beds, I actually found them quite comfortable—especially after a long drive! The room was well-equipped with a fridge, top freezer, microwave, air conditioning, and plenty of cupboard space—perfect if you’re planning a longer stay. Staff were friendly, and the secure car park (€12.50) gave extra peace of mind. The location is great: just a 10-minute walk to shops, restaurants, and cafes. There are also two restaurants right on the square where the apartment-hotel is located. Would definitely stay again! 😊

Location is amazing but it ends there. Beds hard as concrete, water pressure is awful, toilets needs 8 flushes per visit and AC only allows heating in 27 degree spring. With windows open we had a mosquito safari in our room. But again, location is amazing. 😇
Dan L — Google review
Everything was great and good for the price but I have never felt a more firm bed in my lifetime. it’s like sleeping on a carpeted floor. Next time I’d ask for another comforter on the bed to sleep on top of one of them, in between the two. Seriously, it’s HARD. Everything else was pleasant, friendly staff, enough space, and it was nice to have a kitchenette.

During our trip across Europe, we stayed in about 12 different hotels — and this was, without exaggeration, the only one we had to ran away from. The worst hotel: unbearable unsanitary conditions and a terrible smell in the room. In the kitchen we found leftovers of other people’s food, ingrained dirt, fresh dirt, dust — simply awful! We refused to stay overnight and booked another hotel instead. We were told we would get a refund, but never received it. Our emails have been ignored. Strongly not recommended.

Beware of bed bugs!!!!! My friend and I stayed at the hotel last week. My friend woke up with red bumps on his body. After taking a quick look at the itching and skin spots, it turns out it was from bedbugs.... We had to wash all our backpacks, clothes, underwear, ... on boiling water. We hope we are now free of bedbugs.

As soon as we entered the room, we were hit by a terrible smell. The room itself was very dirty, more like a cheap roadside motel. They refused to refund the money for the room, as well as the parking fee and city tax, even though we left after just 15 minutes and had to look for another hotel late in the evening. Strongly not recommended.

Honestly loved this hotel, the bed was soft and comfy, the room was small but not too small, I had room for my luggage and everything. Location was perfect right by the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe and the highlight, they have glass water bottles for you to fill up in the lobby with filtered water or sparkling water to take to your room

I totally recommend this hotel. Location 10/10, close to all the key places, with nice restaurants on the same street. Very good service, and kind receptionists who offer reccomendations if you ask and try to help. The room was very spacious, the bed comfortable, and the shower worked perfectly (which is not always the case). The breakfast is standar, I liked the Nespresso coffee machine and missed pre-sliced toast. The only negative point is that they don't give you the room until 3 pm. Keep this in mind when booking.

Greta hotel in the heart of the tourist area. Easy access to the bus and tram system…6 minute walk. You’ll need a bus or tram pass to get here from the train station. It’s a 30 minute walk according to google. Super nice staff, clean rooms and ice cold air!

Location is terrific. Right on a walking street in a busy part of town. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Front desk staff were amazing.
Bill S — Google review
Excellent location in walking distance to shops, restaurants, sites, the tram etc. Clean rooms, helpful staff. Cozy lobby bar. What more can you ask for. I would stay there again.

The Best Western Plus Hotel Gare Saint-Jean is a 4-star hotel situated in an 18th century mansion house in Bordeaux. It features free WiFi, an iPod dock and a bar. The hotel offers breakfast and happy hour specials in the bar.
Surprisingly good size rooms (we had a superior). Great amenities, food, drink and breakfast was really good quality catering to different visitors. Polite and engaging at reception. Best location if using the train station! Comfortable bed, good cleaning standards.
Pedro M — Google review
Great position, staff are very helpful and friendly. Room was quite small and unusual bathroom arrangement. Was a bit noisy but earplugs were supplied. Perhaps we should have requested a quiet room as we were overlooking the street. However I would stay in this hotel if I was visiting Bordeaux again, just wouldn't choose room 105!
Pat T — Google review
Well located hotel near to the railway station, with air conditioned rooms (Thankfully)! Queen sized bed is really comfortable, and for such a busy area, I haven't heard any excess noise. Breakfast is an added extra, and there is room service available 24/7. The jewel in the crown has to be the wonderful team of staff. I have been here for almost 2 weeks and each and every one of them seem focussed upon taking care of the guests. The manager should be commended for building and maintaining such a dedicated team. They have made my holiday memorable!
Paul N — Google review
Great facilities, expected of a four star hotel. Perfect location for travelling via the train. Reception staff were lovely. The room was very comfortable, though on the compact side and no door between the bathroom and the bed. Lots of disturbances while sleeping, the fire alarm went off at 3am which was set off by the kitchen, then the cleaning staff knocked on my door before check out time and woke me up. She then subsequently knocked again half an hour before check out time to ask to me get ready to leave. 😒

It was a long week of cycling through the wine country and we had an early flight the next day. Julie at the front desk along with everyone else that worked there were so helpful, polite and professional. They coordinated our early taxi ride to the airport successfully and we had a great stay. Other folks on our bike trip also were highly complimentary about their own stay at this location. Rooms were well appointed and very clean. Very impressed with the whole experience and will highly recommend in the future. Side Note: Julie at the front desk emailed me to let me know my wife left her sunglasses and could she mail them to us. Please let her know how impressed we were with her for doing this. Great Job!!
Kirk B — Google review
The room, while quite small, was comfortable and clean, the internet was good and the hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. They provided us with access to their printer so that we could get paper copies of train tickets. They also welcomed us despite our very early arrival (at 10 am, when we were expecting just to drop off our luggage), and gave us a quiet room to rest in while they tried to find a room we could enter straight away. The one problem we had in the room was that the small fridge did not keep contents cool enough, and there was no ice accessible to us.
Patricia W — Google review
This hotel is very nice. It is right beside the Gare Saint-Jean and just a short walk away from the trolley that will take you into Bordeaux. We had the express breakfast which was very good, the buffet breakfast also looked very good. The room is small but that was okay. It was clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very helpful.
Janice C — Google review
I really enjoyed my stay. Check in was easy and the reception was very friendly. The location was perfect right across from the train station. There is a very good pizza restaurant right next door. My room was clean and nicely decorated. I forgot a small bag after checking out and the reception very kindly sent it by courier to my next hotel. Very kind.

Hôtel Bleu de Mer Bordeaux (formerly Acanthe Hotel) offers a central location just 150 feet from the famous Place de la Bourse. The hotel features comfortable and quiet rooms with modern design touches, free Wi-Fi, and a breakfast buffet. While not luxurious, it has its own charm and is an ideal choice for those seeking a budget-friendly yet pleasant stay in the old quarter of Bordeaux. The staff is friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience.
Super cozy little hotel right in the heart of Bordeaux. The rooms are basic, as one would expect from a 2-star hotel, but clean and comfy. Location is fantastic, in the middle of old town but right next to the direct tram to the train station. Everyone is very friendly. Ask the gentleman for restaurant recommendations -- we ate like kings following this great suggestions. Will gladly stay here again.
Alyosha E — Google review
The room is very small, this is a Standard budget- average hotel. The location is the best thing about this place. I will mention the service was below average and the staff were rude and really unhelpful, seemed liked guest were a bother to their daily operations.
Emma B — Google review
Warning! Bed bugs! There were traces of bed bug feces on the mattress. The staff did nothing to address it. We had to leave. I have contacted the hotel to have my money back, no response, no apologies.
Anna B — Google review
This is an old hotel, and the only benefit is the location. The evening clerk was far from hospitable, to the point that it was laughable. On every encounter he was quite rude, rolling his eyes at us for asking a question, he also told us to use the pillows off the hotel lobby sofa if we want an extra pillow (since our bed pillows were flat). We don’t recommend the breakfast, it was sparse, and the coffee maker is essentially a Keurig. Our recommendation for travelers is to go somewhere else, and to the hotel, offer hospitality training to your employees.
RS C — Google review
The best thing about this hotel is the location in the old quarter of Bordeaux. It is an update of a much older hotel. The rooms are comfortable quiet and quite adequate, it is a 2 star hotel, but for the price of the rooms and location it's hard to beat. Staff are friendly and welcoming. So it's not what one would call a luxury hotel, there is however Aircon in the rooms. There is underground public parking nearby, but it is expensive as it is town center, the turns are tight and narrow. We would come again but probably research the parking/tram options better.
Mark T — Google review
Lovely little hotel in a superb location. Bright, airy and spacious room, super friendly staff. Great value for money, would stay again. The complimentary bottle of rosé in the room was a lovely touch!
Avril — Google review
Our second stay at this great little hotel. Warm and professional team, fantastic location in terms of restaurants, shopping, sites, parking etc., and everything comfortable and functioning in our room for a short stay. Cosy bed, nice hot shower, and while there was sometimes a bit of noise from the street or sounds from next door neighbours, it was fine given its location on a busy street, and we slept well. We'd be happy to stay again next time we're in Bordeaux.
Lorina M — Google review
Excellent location-could not have been better. Stayed for 2 nights and thought it good value. Very helpful advice on arrival regarding parking, wine tours etc - Not sure if it was the owner or not as we didn't see him again - but thank you for your valuable help There are fabulous prints of Château Mouton Rothschild art labels in the reception area and dining room. The bed was a little bit soft for my liking but otherwise everything was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, although good organic quality was promoted there was very little choice and baskets were often empty, guests had to ask for refills or go without.

Nestled gracefully along the banks of the Garonne River, Château Grattequina is a stunning 19th-century mansion that offers an elegant escape just a short distance from Bordeaux. This charming hotel features ten spacious luxury rooms adorned with exquisite antiques and modern amenities, ensuring guests enjoy both comfort and style. Each room provides picturesque views of either lush gardens or the serene river, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation. Guests can indulge in delightful dining experiences on the terrace or within the inviting dining room.
A good surprise for us. We enjoy our peaceful location and pretty chateau. The room was very fresh in the season we went. We received as suggestion from a friend this location, but we really liked. Few guests so we never see them, and you feel that you have the chateau for yourself. The room decoration could be better and the swimming pool area could offer some self service system to drink something while you are there, it’s too quiet. The swimming pool is perfect because is heated so you can enjoy the pool. I love the detail that you can find some bicycles around the chateau and many years i didn’t ride one. Highly recommend this place.
Thiers — Google review
Great Hotel near Bordeaux but still very quiet and relaxed. The automated wine-bar is excellent and breakfast is delicious.
Mike E — Google review
For 3 nights, we and another couple stayed at Chateau Grattequina in the suites with the stone terraces overlooking the river. It was heavenly. As my travel companion remarked, “After seeing so many chateaux, it’s nice to be staying in one.” The owner even gave us a ride into town on his speed boat!
Ed T — Google review
Highly recommend. This is a tranquil retreat with beautifully appointed rooms and attentive service. We chose the room with elegant terrace. It is a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee.

What we liked: . 10 rooms only, this is like having the castles for ourselves . Very nice location by the river where you can have breakfast or a light dinner . Amazing staff. The receptionist organised all our visits with very good tips for restaurants and wine tours. She made the difference . The owner took us with his boat to central bordeaux What could be different . Don’t expect 5 stars, this is a 4 stars hotel and we are fine with it . Rooms could be refreshed . There could be bar (self service ?) by the pool . They don’t do restaurant; however with insights there are many options around and they offer light and delicious small plates We liked our stay very much
Raphael F — Google review
I cannot say enough about this beautiful place. My wife and I had a late-fall stay in the Bordeaux area, staying for 5 nights at Chateau Grattequina. Everything about this hotel was amazing and exactly what we were looking for after a stay in Paris. The location is perfect for trips into downtown Bordeaux and to the beautiful Bordeaux wine AOCs. The staff was incredibly helpful and exactly as available as you need them to be, when you need them to be (that is to say, not too pushy or over-attentive). They gave us some great recommendations for dinners and helped us make reservations. The grounds are beautifully manicured and the greenery well appointed. I could spend all day just sitting in their gardens reading and drinking coffee or wine. Our room was extremely clean and brilliantly decorated. The ambiance is quiet and serene without being eerie (even with a corporate event being hosted during 2 of the days of our stay). The offerings for breakfast are perfect and delicious, with eggs and bacon available for the English/American palate, along side a slew of bread, pastries, fruit, yogurt, jams, cereals, and accouterments. Their food menu, while small, does not miss - and is all priced unbelievably reasonably. We tried each item on the menu, and every single thing was well executed, well portioned, and delicious. I will, without a doubt, return to this place some day.

An awesome experience in the castle. The friendly host and service staff made our stay super comfortable. Strongly recommend if you are planning a trip to Bordeaux

Guests can indulge in exquisite dining experiences at the on-site restaurants, where culinary delights await. The room was very nice, large with a large bed and comfortable mattress. The bathroom was also large. The staff was friendly and helpful and competent. The location is very close to tram line B from which you can get anywhere in Bordeaux. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Cité du Vin and the central city.
David G — Google review
I don't recommend if you like warm rooms. Maybe it can be a french thing??? as I also see people drinking in bars outside in 10 degrees but I definitely would prefer the room temperature above 20. (As they've cleaned the filter of our air conditioning in the room and we've put it to the max 24 degrees, it still doesn't feel more than 20).
Annamária C — Google review
Booked one of the luxury rooms and while at first glance it looked amazing, minor details emerged that dulled the experience. One of the hand towels I received was tattered and had holes in it. There were also mosquitoes and I spotted and killed a drain fly in the shower, a sign of possibly unclean bathroom drains. It was a bit unpleasant having a mosquito buzzing near my ear at bedtime and constantly being on alert to swat them. Not up to the standards of a four star hotel like I would expect. On the plus side, the location was convenient and the staff was very helpful. It is a prime location as it is very close to the tram station.
Jessica — Google review
It had lights and shadows. The location is great! About 20 minutes walking from the city centre but by no means far from it. Also plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. The room was very good, but not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel, but definitely 100% okay for a few days visit. It was clean and had enough storage space. The 4 starts are because despite having the window closed and being on a 4th floor, there was quite some street noise getting through. The service was good, but you can see some of them are students, and some of them also do not speak English. I could get through with my level of french (low-medium) but if you speak no french, you will need to use Google to translate things. Breakfast was good, lacking a bit of variety but is not a huge hotel, therefore, it makes sense. Nonetheless, it was very complete and had everything to build a healthy and tasty breakfast. There is always someone in the buffet to order your coffee or tea. A small remark I would like to do with regards to the check-out (probably it was exceptional due to my hour). I asked the reception to call to my room at 4.15 just in case, you never know( as I needed to take my Uber at 4.30 to go to the airport and do the check-out. This was absolutely fine, but knowing that I was checking out, when I went down at 4.25 to do the checkout there was no one there and the door of the hotel was closed, so I was stuck inside, not being able to check-out. I would have expected that the receptionist would have stayed there. I called the number and took a while to pick up and to come downstairs. Eventually it was fine of course but it took him around 10 minutes. In any case, overall it was a good place to stay, and definitely for work, as I was staying, it was great! Bonus point for the inside garden. I could not enjoy it as weather was not great, but would not mind having breakfast there in summer!

Staff so helpful. Carla was wonderful. She could not do enough for us from directing to places, to catering to our every need. Thank you Carla for making our stay extra good.
Leonie C — Google review
We visited Bordeaux for 3 days and 2 nights. The hotel staff is friendly and professional (but very young?). We booked very last minute and got a very good price for a comfort room. Really clean rooms and bathrooms. Airconditioning works good. The location is really perfect, the public transport options are very close! Tip: buy the 24hrs ticket for only €5 to travel around in Bordeaux. There is even air conditioning on the trams! You can get a parking discount of 50% when asking the reception desk for a Q-PARK hotel voucher (€15 for 24hrs, instead of €30). We are really happy with our stay and would recommend it to others. Two small remarks: the breakfast costs €16 and wasn’t really our thing (only small vienoisserie, no refills of the smoked salmon, no refill of the jus d’orange,..). Ask for a room without an adjacent accent to another room (409) or you can hear everything from your neighbor.

Casa Blanca B&B is a charming accommodation located in the Les Chartrons neighborhood of Bordeaux. Housed in a 200-year-old building, it seamlessly blends historic charm with modern comforts. The B&B offers five spacious guest rooms, some featuring balconies or terraces. The stylish decor and promotion of local products add to its appeal. Situated near the public garden and close to attractions like the Fete du Vin, Casa Blanca provides an ideal base for exploring the area.
Our hosts were very welcoming and we had a beautiful, airy room with a very comfortable bed. The accommodation was very comfortable and was in a lovely quiet neighbourhood close to restaurants, tram and walking distance to key destinations in Bordeaux. Would highly recommend!
Ben — Google review
We loved our stay at Casa Blanca! The service was great and the staff gave us great tips and recommendations for Bordeaux. Breakfast was also nice - pastries, tea, coffee, juice, cheese board, fruit, eggs, everything! The location is also wonderful. It is very close to the Jardin Public which we made sure to stop through every day since it was so lovely. It’s also close to the tram. Would stay here again.
Claire B — Google review
The best description for this B&B is "quirky". Our room was large (by European standards) with comfortable furniture and somewhat unusual washroom facilities. The location is excellent, near the tram stop and within walking distance of many fine restaurants and a beautiful park. One caution - we used the car service recommended by the host (for transportation to the hotel and onward to the train station after our stay) and the rate charged was significantly higher than mentioned on the website.
Tom H — Google review
We adored our stay here. Such a great location and we loved the neighbourhood. Our room was large and comfortable. Their restaurant recommendations were spot-on and we particularly enjoyed Au Bistrot. Already planning to book for next year and spend some more time in Bordeaux.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely area close to the public gardens and lots of lovely restaurants. The breakfast was an extravagant affair with cheese, fresh bread, delicious pastries, a selection of hand prepared dishes and good coffee. The room was spacious and clean.

Absolutely LOVED staying here, beautiful space (aesthetically pleasing), large room, great breakfast, gorgeous neighbourhood and friendly staff (shout out to Basma). It’s a quick walk to anywhere and it’s a huge bonus that it’s just above the park. I had stayed at the Mondrian before and would have much preferred to spend my days here. I will most definitely stay again if coming to Bordeaux
Sisi C — Google review
Casa Blanca is the dreamiest bed and breakfast. Situated in a quiet and convenient location, it has everything to offer. This cozy spot is just two blocks from Jardin Public, which is perfect for relaxing walks. There are a number of lovely restaurants nearby as well. Everything, but EVERYTHING, is walkable from here. The building itself is incredibly charming, combining character with modern comfort. Rooms are stylish, large, and filled with warm light. Clean, with nice shower products, too. The beds are comfortable, and the sheets are crisp and clean. Breakfast is delicious; it seems the ingredients are carefully chosen and assembled. The best bread, croissant, butter, fruit, coffee!! I took it in my room most of the time, upon request, however breakfast in the shared area was very nice as well. The greenhouse room is filled with plants, and has a warm, energetic vibe…so relaxing for a quiet conversation or a book. Gildas, the owner, goes above and beyond, and above all, the staff are extremely accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay again, and recommend it to everyone I know.
Amanda H — Google review
My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Casa Blanca. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the cozy ambiance of the space, every detail was meticulously thought out. We had made a mistake when booking but the owner was very flexible with our plans. The bed was also so comfortable and stylish. We have been traveling around Europe and this stay was by far the best rest we had all trip. The homemade breakfast served each morning was delicious and personalized to our tastes. We loved all of the details of the space, from the fresh chocolates to the great local soaps, lotions. The owner was incredibly attentive, offering great recommendations for exploring and eating out in the surrounding area. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bordeaux, we will be back!

The hotel exudes a distinctive atmosphere and redefines classic cuisine codes. Its stylish decor combines deluxe materials with modern furniture for a cozy and warm ambiance. Situated near Bordeaux's main square, the hotel provides luxurious suites and personalized concierge services for vineyard picnics, private bicycle tours, and chateaux visits.
Charming little boutique hotel. Stayed in a room with terrace. Room was cosy and nice. Shower has no door though, so have to be extra careful least the floor gets too wet outside. Would be good if there is a door. Apart from this, we had a good stay. Service was excellent!
Bren W — Google review
I really like this quaint hotel right by the cathedral. It is a hidden gem and it is only 10 rooms. You do not see any other guests and hotel staff was hardly at front desk. Our suite was exactly like the picture and does come with a small kitchen fully stocked. It truly is a perfect place for multiple guests per room. As for the breakfast; I do not recommend this service at all. It is expensive and the quality is not great for the price. Also make sure that you get clarity if it is included or not.
Milly G — Google review
Excellent hospitality, and beautiful suite. Hotel is perfectly situated for the city and car parking. Clarins toiletries, robes and slippers are a luxury touch. Very good value. We will continue to stay here when visiting Bordeaux.
Michael C — Google review
This hotel is hard to get to, staff is never around, they charged us for breakfast, even after our bill said it was included, plus breakfast would of been cheaper elsewhere. Spend your money at another establishment. Hotel was nice, but you can get more for your money elsewhere. Will never go back, nor recommend!

Beautiful and well designed hotel, well located. Phenomenal service, the team goes above and beyond. thank you for all the help navigating. got the rohan room which was in the top floor, the ceilings are not high enough for people over 170cm fyi but the terrace and service made up for it
Christine H — Google review
An excellent boutique hotel very close to the old town centre of Bordeaux. Clean and stylish rooms and ours even had a terrace! There's no dining room, but if you want a continental breakfast or limited room service it's served to your room which has a seated dining area. The most charming thing about this hotel are the staff who are welcoming, friendly and happy to accommodate you in French or English language (probably others too!). They made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable with their great service and restaurant recommendations! If you like a hotel with all aspects such as bar, restaurant, gym, business centre etc. then clearly this isn't for you - but if you enjoy the privacy and intimacy of a stylish hidden retreat with great service that's good value for money you should check out this place.
Conrad S — Google review
What a wonderful space! The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. It's just steps from the cathedral. And the room was very large, decorated well, and had a refrigerator and kitchenette. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Ted M — Google review
The upsides of the hotel are the great location, and friendly and helpful front staff. The daily notes and gifts were a kind gesture. The main downside is the cost, as I don't think it's worth the amount charged compared to other fairly upscale accommodations in France for a similar price. I felt that given the cost, the rooms were also stingy in the amount of amenities given and limited our use of the kitchen. We were also mislead and had extra 'mini-bar' charges to our room which left us with a tainted perception on departure.
