A good place to have a snack or brunch. The cakes and pastries are really good. I wouldn’t have lunch here again. I ordered the sandwich of the moment with grilled aubergine and the aubergine was black and crispy (clearly burned). I told the waitress and after some discussion (why?) the sandwich was taken back and taken of the bill like I requested.

The establishment presented a quintessential French café ambiance. The culinary offerings were of satisfactory quality, with the scrambled eggs and bacon prepared to perfection. However, the croissant did not meet expected French standards, appearing to be stale rather than freshly baked. Service was both prompt and amiable.

Books & Coffee in Bordeaux is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, the perfect place to relax with a good book or catch up with friends over an excellent cup of coffee. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive, which really elevates the whole experience. And the croissant… oh my goodness. Flaky, buttery perfection! It was so delicious that I completely forgot to take a picture. Sometimes the best things are the ones you just enjoy in the moment. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Bordeaux. Great coffee, amazing pastries, and a place you will want to return to again and again!

They have delicious Gluten free sweet options- even a very moist chocolate chip/ peanut butter cookie! There are plenty of table to sit, enjoy coffee, telework, and chat with friends! I’ve also heard that the brunch is fantastic. If I lived here I’d come here often!

Lovely cafe located on St James Street which I love. The food is very nice but this time I went for a coffee only. I got the peanut and dark chocolate cookie with the homemade lemonade. The combination was perfect. The staff was very friendly and efficient (rare enough in other places to be pointed out).

One of the best scrambled eggs I have ever tasted! The ladies were very accommodating, food was great, amazing views and atmosphere, and fast service. I would come here again

Not only was this the best cup of coffee I’ve had since arriving in France, I was hanging out for breakfast without bread or pastries. The yogurt was delicious. Good value.

Lovely lunch sitting outside the market watching the world go by. Extremely reasonable in price. You can get 6 oysters and a wine for €11. The oysters were devine, fresh & plump. The fish soup was super tasty. The prawns have previously been frozen but they were still good. Charcuterie board was also really good. House wine perfectly quaffable. All in all very good and an authentic experience, majority of people there were French so always a good sign.

Chez Jean-Mi is highly rated online and it’s no wonder. The seafood was absolutely delicious, the service fantastic and the atmosphere enjoyable. After 2 pints and 1 pinasse (an assortment of the sea for 1 person), I was fully satiated! The shrimp, oysters, crab and snails, all nicely nestled in a boat of seaweed (or kelp) were completely fresh and tasty. And to top things off, co-owner (I know I’m going to butcher her name because I am having trouble reading her writing) Kasume?!? shared a taste of Picon Bière, which I had never had before. She was so sweet and gracious as a host and the Bière was delicious! I would eat there daily if it wasn’t 5000+ miles away! Sadly, my wife was unable to attend due to health reasons but knowing her love of seafood, I am certain she would agree with me…definitely worth a visit. Can’t wait to return next time we are in Bordeaux!

I am in love with this place. Amazing food, great service, friendly and funny staff. I wish, I could eat there every day, drink amazing wine and see people passing buy. We had austers and sea food plate for two people bottle of wine and payed around 70 Euros. Worth every Cent!

Definitely not a fancy place but that's what we liked about it. Felt very much like a locals place with fast, inexpensive simply good and fresh oysters. I mean 6 oysters and a small glass of wine for 10€ what more could you want?

Such a great place! Cool food market a short walk from the town centre. This place has a great range of super fresh seafood at an really excellent price. I went for oysters and prawns and they were fantastic. Excellent set menues and platters, good wine list 👌🏼

A lovely little cafe serving brunch and delicious cakes. Roze the owner was lovely and friendly and handed us a list of places to eat when we left.

Very good “dirty chai” - chai latte with espresso - with a nice view of the trams. We sat outside with our stroller. Not every place you go in Bordeaux or Paris is good for coffee - this is very good! Maybe our best sip of a latte in France!

I had a wonderful brunch this last saturday. The food was very tasty, the menu proposes vegan option for the main and the desserts. I totally recommend it.

Fabulous brunch spot! Perfect note to end our trip to Bordeaux. The passion fruit tart was incredible and the waitress was so friendly and welcoming (even though we only spoke English). Highly recommend!

Upon checking in we were happy to be upgraded to a suite for one of our other rooms. The suite didn’t feel like a suite but like two rooms put together into a suite. No living room table for the supposed living room. All the amenities were not in good shape. It feels outdated and didn’t know if the rooms were even inspected. The brunch at the boudior de Lea was absolutely terrifying experience. It took 30 to order and another ten for the drinks to arrive and another ten for the food to come. The wait is long but we expected the food to be excellent coming from a restaurant within a five star hotel. The food is cold without any temperature and it’s feels like a lack of care for the food. Overall it’s a terrible experience in both the hardware and software. The director of rooms said she would like to follow up with us, there was no follow up at all. The location is great but other than that’s it’s not worth the price for a suite or a room.

Maybe the best hotel experience I've ever had! The Intercontinental Bordeaux is a historic and beautiful hotel in the very center of town. We were greeted by the most helpful and cheerful staff you could imagine that made the check in process so easy and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious and beautiful (photos can't capture how nice). Premium products in the bathroom and the softest bed I've slept in. We were celebrating our anniversary and they sent us champagne and a cake. Absolutely wonderful.

We were received and welcome by Sabrina, She was most accommodating and made us feel comfortable. Also during our stay Morgan and Andria were most helpful during our stay. My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental Bordeaux for only two nights, we were blown away by the service. We were checked in by the very lovely Andrea at the front desk. After our long day of travel she was very kind, recognising our status as IHG Platinum and Intercon. Ambassador members. We were allocated a beautiful suite with direct view of the Opera House, along with some delicious welcome plates of macaron, the local canelé and fresh fruit. An absolute delight. The hotel locations is very central with a number of amazing restaurants, bars and retail stores to explore. We were also very impressed by the spa facilities, although did not have the time to enjoy a treatment this time. Throughout the stay we found every member of staff we encountered to be charming and helpful from the Bell Team, to the staff within the lounge bar and the breakfast team. We look forward to returning.

Very beautiful hotel at the heart of bordeaux. We chose it for 3 reasons. 1. The center of everything 2. Very great interior with a mix of French traditions and some modern elements. 3. It's 2 stars michillin restaurant! We will definitely come again!

The hotel is exceptional & the staff also go well above and beyond. I cannot say enough about the staff. The room was amazing, the workout room had a ton of equipment & the spa was next level.

Perfect location for exploring all that Bordeaux has to offer. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic, with many options and great coffee. Service throughout the hotel is attentive and professional.

A fabulous restaurant with a great buzz. Food was excellent. The waiter was a bit haphazard, as he missed off some of our order. Anyhow, it was soon rectified. There were 5 of us having lunch.

It is centrally located, the food was good, but nothing extraordinary for which I would come back again. The staff was really friendly. There are in my opinion too many tables, it is difficult to have a conversation without hearing what the next table is saying.

We arrived at the Brasserie and had no reservation previously made. We were brought to a table next to the door on the terrace. We asked if there might be another table but they said they were booked. Later on I went to the toilet and noticed that there were several empty tables inside. And we stayed for almost 2.30 hours. No problem, we decided to enjoy ourselves as it was our last night in Bordeaux after being there for 11 nights. I order the crab tartare. I must say that I was disappointed as it was more avocado than crab. The escargots were delicious. Our main course was both very good. We had the entrecôte and the seafood platter. We also had a creme brûlée which I expected the top glass to be warm but it was very cold. What bothered me at this brasserie were the waiters. They were extremely snobbish to say the least. We had to signal them twice for attention and other guests at a table further down had the same experience. Nevertheless we had a great time as we were not going to have this small nuisance spoil our night. We have travelled extensively and had dinners at the most exclusive brasserie and restaurant and when your menu is a bit pricey, you expect good service.

The food was very good and the service was quick. We had a table outside and it was quiet, yet in the street which made the experience very good. The wine selection was sufficient and we had three courses of with the main standing out as the best. I would recommend this place to experience a bistro with a classic touch.

We visited twice during our week in Bordeaux. On Monday, the service and food were exceptionally good. We both had steaks, fries and sauce (from the daily specials) followed by pear tart. It was all delicious. We rebooked for Saturday night. The food and service were OK except for the fries / chips. They were disgusting ... maybe reheated from lunch service 🫣Reservations are necessary. The restaurant was full from 7pm on Saturday night and also very busy on Monday night. Expensive. 7€50 for a bottle of still water !

We had an amazing dinner. We have missed getting in our last 2 visits to Bordeaux but we made it this time. We WILL be back. Update: we just went back for our third visit the trip. We love the escargot it is amazing! The salad is unbelievable.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner here - oysters, steak, roast chicken and beef tartare. The salad with goat cheese was delicious. Impeccable, friendly service and a lively atmosphere. Would go again. Reservations needed. Our tour guide suggested it and most diners were locals.

This place is really sweet and opens early if you fancy a good spot for breakfast. The staff are really friendly and the galletes were delicious 😋

We’ve been having breakfast in this restaurant 2 days in a row for its great food and familiar services. Very good Croque Madame/Monsieur and amazing galettes bretonnes. Worth to try!!

We really liked it here, as we were quickly served by the waiter, who also brought a bottle of water to keep us hydrated while we were waiting for our food to arrive. We had the sour crepe Atlantic and sweet crepe Normandy. Both were really nice, so both are strongly recommended. BTW they also offer menu in different languages, just scan the QR code that's on the tables outside.

Went here for a quick lunch with friends. They mostly have crêpes but I ended up order a crôque monsieur. I enjoyed it very much, it was my first crôque monsieur in France. The only thing that annoyed me was a lady in the dining room talking (aka shouting) to her friend in the street to the point that I couldn't hear my friend at my side talking. This went on for more than 5 minutes but none of the staff told her anything 😟 but I guess this doesn't happen everyday, and aside from this everything was perfect!

Nice crepes!! I prefer the savory ones to the sweet. Would recommend the chorizo crepe over the ham as it was much tastier and it was also crispier. Perhaps ask for extra crispy cos mine was a little too soft for my liking. Have the cider with the crepe too, it's traditional and quite nice!! Staff were really nice and spoke English well.

Great place to have some tasty & home made crepes and galettes. Service is good but I don’t give it 5 stars cause the bottle of water got some dirty in it.

A very good restaurant with a beautiful rooftop view. The pizza was nice, though not outstanding, and the carbonara pasta was good as well. The starters, however, were excellent - especially the tomato tart topped with a kind of basil ice cream, which was both original and delicious. On top of that, the service was really attentive and friendly, which made the overall experience very enjoyable.

We got our food quickly, however the dish I took (linguine del mare) was not what I expected. For the price, I expected a dish of higher quality and more finesse. Moreover, it is not what was described on the menu. Other people I was with took the mezza luna dish, however the portion was way too small.

Amazing view, good service and tasty cocktails. They brought us the wrong cocktail but they fixed offering that cocktail and bringing the right one. I really liked the idea of the cannelé based cocktail.

Made a reservation for a large group of 12, was welcomed and seated on time. But the experience gone down the drain from here. Below average food quality - tasteless or funky tasting salad; messy cold cuts, questionable linguine. Brought 3 bottles of wines to be decanted, the decanter was filled to full with 2.5 bottles of wine. Ummm… we are in Bordeaux, and restaurant doesn’t know how to decant wine is a shame. Topped up with RUDE service. Ordered 5 seafood linguine, only 3 came. We went to ask for the remaining two, the only “Lady in White”, I supposed the senior service staff/manager passed the massage to waiter, to inform us that they have run out of linguine. No apologies were offered, and no one bother to inform us until we asked. This marks the end of the dining enjoyment and atmosphere. There are multiple Marriott platinum and titanium elite members on this table, rest assured that we will provide feedback to the hotel operator. The Feedback is not to tarnish the restaurant reputation, but such service is totally not acceptable. What a shame for a hotel restaurant operation - the team should really be more mindful of service. The only lady in white tonight - if you are the restaurant manager, shame on you though - having no accountability for mistakes in the restaurant, pushing your waiters to face the diners. I have not heard from you throughout the bad experience.

This rooftop restaurant offers wonderful views of the Wine Museum and the vertical bridge. The service and food were excellent. Louise, the waitress, was very attentive; she checked on us to see if we needed anything and cleared the table while we ate. Alex, from the bar, personally made my cappuccino when he noticed I was having trouble with the machine and brought it to our table. We felt very appreciated as guests. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and clean. The buffet is constantly refilled and rearranged . There is a wide variety of savory and sweet dishes.

We waited 35 minutes to even get noticed by the staff. Overpriced drinks compared to the quality of them, and poor interaction. The staff didn’t even bother to look at us once. Sad this bar is getting associated with a 5 star hotel. The expectation was not met…

Open to non residents. Worth a visit for the view and atmosphere. Friendly staff and pretty attentive. Should be 5 star but not enough staff on the ground so be prepared to wait a bit but no longer than the usual French service at brasseries. For a hotel of this standing/price, should be quicker service but I'd go again, and worth a visit.

Meh. The staff at the front of the hotel (person working the stand in front) and people on ground floor were very nice. The staff at the roof top, however, were not nice at all. We had to ask for simple things and they all seemed unhappy, did not want to be there, and we were a nuisance having to be dealt with - at 19 to 20 euro for each drink for the pleasure (price not really a concern for us, but we do expect great service in return). We have been eating and drinking all over Bordeaux the past few days - we expected much better from such a highly regarded brand. The view was nice, though.

We thought we would try it on the off chance as the sun was setting and it was our last day. The view was ok but the sunset was blocked by an equipment room. The drinks were expensive, 11 euros for small bottle of lager. We saw some food come out but again it looked expensive for what it was, so we finished our 1 drink went somewhere else. The staff were polite and friendly, made us feel welcome, the music playing was great, the overall atmosphere was nice, we were just disappointed the sunset view was blocked. I think people staying at the hotel have an exclusive area to sit on the rooftop, not blocked by same equipment room. Hotel looks stunning inside, Glad we popped in.

Great views, drinks were pricey, but expected. Wish there was a non-smoking area to enjoy the view as mood was ruined when someone lit up.

Once my favourite restaurant when I lived in Bordeaux, it is now a place of pilgrimage for me when I visit France. I've rarely been disappointed by this restaurant but always been happy to come back. The menu is seasonal, so don't expect to have the same menu every time. The food is delicious and with a great combination of flavours. The staff is lovely and the tables outside, even though a bit small, are in a quite street making it very enjoyable.

Very very good. Exactly the place to hide from a hot day. Both the carni and the vegetarian options had us licking lips and running the perfectly crusty pieces of baguette around the bowls for the sauce once we were done. Well worth ducking off the shopping boulevards for. Authentic and a warm welcome from the team.

Good food and friendly service. Somewhat limited menu but we both chose Croque Madames and they were delicious. We've never seen or had it with a soft boiled egg, but it was nice, and the flavours were subtle and were not over salted in any way which was nice. Very well balanced. Good iced coffee with simple syrup (optional) It was so hot we sat inside, which was not air conditioned, but cool enough. Wore a favorite seersucker cotton shirt to help stay cool 😎

Excellent flat white in a beautifully laid out cafe. We had some carrot cake as well and it complimented the coffee well. Staff were helpful and friendly - our lack of French no problem.

We visited twice for breakfast. First time two of the five dishes were not available. We thought this was an anomaly but this turned out not be the case. Namely, second time three out of five were not available. We now heard the explanation: the kitchen has to prepare for lunch and does not make all breakfast dishes (petits déjeuners salés not available). This was a disappointment. This should be announced in advance. According to the menu, breakfast is available until 11 am. We visited both times around 10 am. To be corrected please! The dishes that were available were fine as such.

We went for a brunch and everything was amazing! The bakery as always very delicious and the food just yummy ! The staff as friendly and welcoming as always. Plus this place is in a quiet street, making it charming. 2 only drawbacks that I've had here on different occasions through last weeks/months, the Rooibos vanilla drink I had last weekend was lukewarm on a really hot day and another time(couple of months ago, one of the staff was a bit rude (my fork was dirty and when I asked for a new one she didn't apologize at all and kinda put it rudely in front of me)) but I don't see her anymore...

Excellent bakery with friendly service and prices. We came in for sandwiches, but they weren't available on the weekend...their wraps and treats were yummy, though! Don't miss the brioche.

Viennoiseries and cakes are great. But at lunch time, they have a good selection of sandwiches. They had only one non-meat sandwich, but it was very tasty. Both times I went to, there was a queue of people waiting along the narrow store waiting to pay for their selections.

Gorgeous boulangerie, with one of the most impressive ranges of bread across Bordeaux. Lemon tart was perfectly balanced, definitely recommend!

Baguette is really good, pastries are excellent and the cakes are absolutely amazing. I recommend the pavlova which is absolutely delish. Closed on Mondays but opens at 7:30am all the other days of the week.

Arrogant waitress. When we arrived we sat inside and she completely ignored us! Then we decided to go outside, the moment we walked out the door she said good bye. I'm talking about the slim arrogant toxic waitress. I also saw her saying "good bye never come back" to a couple of japanese. Just horrible!

Chipped glasses, seriously bad attitude from the waiter. Just an awful little man. Dogs on seats. Croque monsiuer was cheap.and not fresh salad just soggy lettuce no dressing and a few tomatoes. fries soggy. No offer of nayo or jetchip. Do not touch this place. Waiter was something else. If you don't like your job get another one (not FOH)

Our first day in Bordeaux and we happened on this little gem of a restaurant. The service was excellent, the food delightful and the wine choice superb. Add in some English people trying to speak a very little bit of French that they know with staff that speak good English and a memorable meal was had. Thank you.

Absolutely 5* stars. The food was fantastic (tuna tataki), service was very warm and attentive, and it’s an excellent location with beautiful views. They also have menus in English if you need them. Highly recommend for future visitors.

I read a review here that said you shouldn’t miss their croissants, so the next morning before my trip I went to this pastry shop, I am not a breakfast person and would rarely eat croissants, so I chose the criochoc and it was definitely a nice chouce as the the croissant had a praline filling other than the chocolate, the buttery dough added to the experience. So take the advice and go try this shop.

Half of the pastry shelves we empty. Maybe because it's Monday afternoon? Also, I ordered coffee to consume inside the shop and got it served in paper cups. The lady at the counter was fast and friendly but I didn't like the taste of the coffee nor the lack of china and was sad about the small variety of pastries to choose from.

I’ve been there several times now. I love their pastries, the bread, the sandwiches. One of the best around in the centre of Bordeaux ! Try it, but be aware you might miss out if you don’t go in early. Enjoy!

Delicious Chocolatines and croissants, we visited two days in a row after attending on a pastry tour (highly recommend) to get our fix.

We booked a 6 dorm room hostel as a group of 6 and all of us said it was the worst hostel we have stayed in because there is literally no air circulation. We have stayed in many places without A/C in 30+ degree heat, but due to the building, the way the windows are, and the absoloutly useless fan (which we had to ask for and were not even originally provided despite the fact it’s 36degrees) the room was literally horrifically hot. The window backs onto the walkway, so you can’t open it without it being a massive security issue as someone could easily climb in. Despite this, we asked the staff member if there was anyway of ventilating the room / for fans and he said he would go into our room and see. We told him we were going out. When we got back, all he had done was open our window!! Absolutely crazy, we had not locked our stuff away in the lockers as the room was private to just our group. This also let in a huge number of mosquitos. On top of this, the floor was filthy, and the shower gel in the bathroom was empty on arrival - clearly the room had not been cleaned. The beds were so hot and they only provided a really thick duvet. We got woken up at 7.30am by building works directly opposite, and then the cleaner walked in without knocking at 9am. Do not stay here, especially when it is hot. Imagine how useless one fan is for. 6 bed dorm in 36degree heat.

Hotel is in a good location, just across the bridge from the main town. The service was good downstairs at reception. The room was small but I only stayed one night. All I wanted was a place to sleep with a private shower, which I received. The only major gripe I had was that the windows opened into an outdoor corridor (which allows you to access all the rooms), so you couldn’t really open the window to cool the room. I was lucky to be at the end of the corridor so I didn’t have to deal with people passing my room, but I can imagine it would be a problem if you were one of the first rooms. I also had at least mosquito in the room so I kept being woken up by slapping myself in the face.

Idk what happened with the other reviews but my room had two windows one being a skylight that could both open, with blackout blinds, AC and heating and two showers/toilets for 6/8 people. The guy was really nice behind the desk and helped me out after a late last minute booking. Kitchen was helpful. Location is good. Clean!

Decent private room. Had problems with water temperature fluctuating. They mention many times that the rooms don't have AC and that is fine, however to open a window you need to roll up the blinds completely open. Ir they had some ventilation or blinds with an adjustable angle it would have been fine.

I really enjoyed my stay. I'd just like to point out something, at the very least, curious that happened with my reservation. I made it through BOOKING. Two days before arrival, I received a WhatsApp message asking me to update my credit card. The link sent was a fake Booking page but with all the correct details of my reservation: name, date, and price. I immediately assumed it was real, sent my details, and realized it was a scam. They charged me the exact amount for the stay twice, and then double. That's when I realized it was a scam. I'm glad I canceled my card. It's a very well-executed scam, since the scammer had the exact details of my reservation at this hotel.

Avoid booking rooms with no air conditioning during the summer months at all costs. You cannot open the window / shutters due to the layout of the building, with the windows being along the main corridors so people can easily see or break in. The room was SO much hotter than it was outside and it was impossible to sleep - even at 3am it was only 22 degrees outside, but the room was unbearably hot. We have not had this issue in other hotels with no aircon, it is just an exceptionally hot building which is not fit for purpose.

Definitely not worth staying here. No A/C, no glasses, no soap, no space. Just a hotbox of a room with no way to cool it down and no way to sleep. Design of the building is terrible, so you can't even open the windows as they look out onto the corridor. Only stopped for a night but definitely the worst part of my trip.

Possibly the best brunch I've ever had! The team where easy to contact via their website to make a reservation (this is highly recommended). They where responsive and confirmed our booking promptly. We started with an amuse bouche which really got our tastebuds going and followed with bread with garlic butter. There is a meat and vegitarian main which where both excellent. We followed with a cake and cruffin and a pastry which was absolutely delicious. I can't recommend Bergamote enough and was one of the best gastronomic experience I had in Bordeaux.

Just passed a lovely hour with friends at this chance find in Bordeaux, but will definitely recommend. Charming setting, excellent and friendly service and the best tasting patisserie ever. Made in house they are really well balanced flavours. Nothing too sweet, too creamy or too sickly. Perfect!

I went for the tea time experience which was a really nice experience. The patisserie was exquisite (in particular the Thymus) however the smaller bites were okay. The sweet ones were fantastic but I didn't like the savory ones. They weren't super savory to be honest. Even though I didn't enjoy the tea time too much, I would come back again for the pâtisseries because they are really lovely.

I had a great stay here this week. Awesome location, super friendly staff. When I lost and/or damaged mine, they provided me with multiple copies of a map of the city. They made great recommendations and marked them on the map for me. This hotel was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed here previously. It was more affordable than any of the other options I had found on my own. It's a three-star hotel, not luxury, but very nice by my standards. Everything worked correctly, was clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping came daily to make the bed and tidy up the room. I walked, skated, or took the tram exclusively during my stay and was able to get everywhere I needed to go with ease. I opted for a room without a coffee maker, but was able to go down each morning to the restaurant and grab a cup of coffee to bring back to my room, which was billed to the room. The room did have a microwave and mini fridge, which was great for me as I travel on a budget and prefer to make small meals in the room. I was completely satisfied with my time here and hope to come back someday!

Very nice and stylish hotel. Ideally located form the airport, tram takes 45 minutes direct transfer. Train station is a bit away. Very central to city center, also a lot of shops are in walking distance. We had a three bed room, which was clean and spacious for 3 persons. The rooftop bar for the apéro is a plus for sure. The reception staff were polite and welcoming, the view from my window was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, and the soundproofing excellent. Check-in was delayed, but the hotel offered a small gift as compensation. However, the location on the google map was shown incorrectly, which made my arrival more difficult. The sink in the bathroom didn’t drain properly. Breakfast was disappointing, with very few options, more like an Ibis Budget. The staff in the breakfast room were rude – one lady laughed at me when I asked for plain white eggs, and the result was burned and greasy. At check-out, extra services were added to my bill by mistake and removed only after I pointed it out.

Disappointing Experience with Room Upgrade Our group had booked several rooms at the hotel, and I was one of the guests who had reserved an upgraded room. As the last person in the group to check in, I was given a room that did not match the standard of the upgraded room I had booked. When I raised this with the hotel, I was told that I could only receive a room matching my original upgrade if I paid an additional fee per night—even though such rooms were available. This is not the level of service I would expect from a hotel chain of this reputation. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that fell short of expectations. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously to improve future guest experiences.

We recently spent four days at the hotel, I know this contradicts what others are saying but the service at the hotel is absolutely awful. At check-in we were given the wrong room number, the air conditioning was poor, the fridge in our room was useless. The rooftop restaurant provides bland food and awful service, our room was never serviced properly and on the third day we spoke to the person on reception who said they would speak to housekeeping about it, all they did was open the door and throw in bathrobes and slippers, on top of that we returned later to find the car park full, even though we had been charged for parking for our entire stay, when I asked on reception where I could park they struggled to say, a simple map would have been so useful. I did ask if I could speak to a manager but was told they were on holiday, it seems there was no body in charge of the hotel it was nothing more than a free for all. I expect someone from the hotel will respond with the usual "we are sorry, it's not up to our usual standards etc" save your time and energy and do something about it as i would hate anyone else having to go through the same experience we did.

We did have to change rooms on arrival as the first one smelled musty with stained carpet, the next room was very nice and no complaints. Spa really nice. Easy to get to centre of town and cite du vin

There is a bar next door that pumps out heavy dance music so loud you think you are actually in the bar and not the hotel! Be warned…. unless you love repetitive bass from about 6:30pm until Early next morning. 😮 Far from ideal having just driven 800 odd miles on the way back to england from southern spain.

Very nice room, super comfortable bed with very nice sheets and pillows. Problem with the heating and air conditioning system which really detracted from the stay.

Lovely hotel large rooms if you don’t mine the industrial warehouse look and concrete ceilings. Light switches were annoying you had to have them on for the kettle to work. No mini fridge in room to cool drinks was a bit disappointing but a lovely room huge bath and walk in shower comfortable bed. Breakfast were lovely but same every day. Staff were all amazing and helpful. A bit further from the centre than we thought but loved the walk

Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff were fantastic—so welcoming and always happy to help. The location is spot on with a bus stop right outside the door for the city centre and the train station just a short stroll away. The hotel itself has such a lovely ambience and is beautifully decorated throughout. My room was spacious, comfortable, and well-kept. After a hot day exploring, the rooftop bar was the perfect place to unwind—so chilled and relaxing with great views. Highly recommend!

We loved everything about this funky hotel and restaurant - walking distance from the main train station, handy, as we are not touring France by car. Very very professional and kind staff at reception and in the restaurant. We enjoyed a truly delicious lunch. Panoramic suite bathroom not very private - no curtains and looking over to the rooftop bar. A/C was good in heatwave. Main bed very comfortable but sofa bed was a bit rickety but ok for small kids. Bus stop right outside hotel and short walk to station. We didn’t use the restaurants/bar or spa so can’t comment on them. They have good value early/late check in options.

Found this nice little cafe while we’re looking for breakfast place nearby us. Place was a little small. Ordered latte and matcha latte. Both were above average in taste. Then we ordered their bacon with fried egg pancakes and also the eggs benedict classic. Food was good. Will definitely return in future.

The staff were extremely helpful and service was quick - we got our food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The only negative is the tight space and there is not a lot of seating.

The chairs were metal with no cushions fine with me the server was fast and nice they spoke english perfect. What a wonderful chain store. They have great pastries and the people here are so nice. We ordered a sandwich and a drink and the clerk told us it would be cheaper if we added a cookie since they had a promotion. He didn’t have to do that but we appreciate it. Then at the train station we ordered 3 pastries, and again, the clerk told us that when you buy 3 you get one free! So nice of them to tell us about the deals. Although their muffins and pastries are good, I wouldn't recommend them for coffee as it's just a generic machine (which is fine in a pinch), since there's several good coffee shops in town. One of my favorite places for coffee in Bordeaux! Very nice and helpful staff, delicious lunches and coffee. They have various milk options and do European like coffee. It’s usually ease to find a table. The place offer free WiFi.

They didn’t have an ingredient to make the carrot dip so just served us plain grated carrots without saying anything.
