Capperi - Pizzaioli Italiani is a cozy pizzeria in Bordeaux, often hailed as the best in the city. The owner, Bartolo Calderone, takes pride in offering a menu of 14 pizzas made with high-quality ingredients that change with the seasons. Half of these pizzas are vegetarian and all are crafted using ancient semi-whole wheat flour, organic French produce, extra virgin olive oil from Sicily, fresh seasonal vegetables, and authentic Italian meats and cheeses.
One of the best Pizza in the world. The young passionate team really achieves the unbelievable. Pre-order and reservation required on the same day from 4pm phone/on-site. We have been eating Pizza around the world including in NYC (Joes Pizza), Napoli, Rome, Milan, Sydney, Paris (Pink Mama) and this gem Capperi in Bordeaux pars the legendary Joes Pizza Broadway. The French beating Italians in making Pizza…We fortunately happened to live right next door and tried all the pizza every week. The crust is absolutely the best in the world, so crisp but melts beautifully. Besides that the team is so kind and welcoming! Each of these little gems make this city shine more than the city of light Paris. Love Love Love!!

Very tasty, authentic Italian pizzas. A twelve seat restaurant makes it a very cozy place. Reservations are a must although you can also order pizzas for take away.
Zach D — Google review
Truly one of the best pizzas places in the city! The menu is changed every season, and the pizzas are out of the ordinary. I tried the pistachio pizza which was delicious, with the best buffalo mozzarella ever. The staff is Italian and very friendly. Be aware though, there are only a few tables so it might be better to book or to take away :)
Agnes P — Google review
One of the best! These guys were so happy to be here, and you could take the love in every bite. Tomato jam is always a win!
Tony C — Google review
Ordered 8 pizzas for takeaway and they were all delicious! The restaurant itself was small and cozy and I would love to come back for that experience as well.
Craig S — Google review
Absolutely WOW! 5 stars+! I believe it’s one of the best pizza‘s I ever ate in my life! What I tried: Tartufo pizza, tiramisu (excellent!) a rose wine and sparkling water. Photos with everything attached. Prices are average (€€): a pizza costs between 10-15€ (full pizza menu attached - from 28.06.2019), and a glass of wine around 4-5€. They have a wide variety of Italian (and not only) wines. The host speaks many languages (English, French, Italian) so it’s easy to order and get around. Chef & help are Italian. Regarding the place, location-wise it’s quite perfect, since it’s close to the center and you can either have lunch or dinner in between tourist activities. The place inside is quite small, with around 10-12 places - they have many orders “to go”. However, it has an interesting clean interior design (photos attached). Overall, I highly recommend this place! If you’re a pizza lover you need to try it!
Aurel P — Google review
We has seen reviews on line about this place and it was in walking distance of our hotel so we went there. There are only a few tables so most of the business is take away. We were told it would be an hour so we went away and had a drink on the river front and went back later. We got a Parma and a Rossa - recommended by the charming pizza maker. Both were great but particularly the Rossa. I would definitely try it again.

Amazing Pizza, delicious wine, very special atmosphere and a nice and friendly team! If you want to have your pizza in the restaurant, you would usually have to make a reservation in advance. I will definitely go again!

Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux, Papà Lello is a delightful Italian eatery that promises an unforgettable culinary journey. This charming pizzeria captures the essence of Naples with its wood-fired pizzas, crafted from the finest Italian ingredients. Each bite is a celebration of authentic flavors that awaken your taste buds and transport you straight to Italy. The ambiance is industrial-chic, set in a converted garage, making it a unique spot for both locals and travelers alike.
Excellent pizza. We finished every last bite and are still in awe about how good it tasted. Great service and pizza came out in good time. Highly recommend - this is some of the best pizza we’ve ever had.

You have to try this place! Best pizzas we've had. Great genuine atmosphere, great staff. Absolutely loved it!! Wise to book as very popular 😀
Helen S — Google review
Delicious pizza!! We have tried Margherita which was a very good choice. Quickly served with amazing Neapolitan dough. The prices are quite elevated but still, I think it's worth the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. It is approximately 13-15€ per pizza.
Ania O — Google review
Rare gem, which can find in the world. Fantastic dough, rich taste of the pizza! Great team work! Last year for 2 month travelling around whole Italy, couldn't find such quality of Pizza Napolitana, even In Napoli! Looked so delicious, that forgot to take a photo.

Great dining experience! Pizza was amazing. Would totally reccomend this place.

Excellent Neapolitan wood fired oven pizza. Decent value considering the quality of the ingredients (the tomato sauce is yummmy). Home made ice cream was really good too. Very nice patio area out front. Worth stepping inside to see the decor. Wine list features Italian wines which is funny to see in Bordeaux!

Osteria Pizzeria da Bartolo is a Naples-style pizza restaurant serving cold cuts, pasta, and wood-fired pizzas. The menu features a wide variety of famous Neapolitan dishes, and the staff are welcoming and accommodating. The bruschetta was delicious, and the six cheese pizza also tasted great. Overall, Osteria Pizzeria da Bartolo is one of the best Italian restaurants in Bordeaux, and the service is excellent.
Delicious pizza and pasta! Went there for my birthday and it was great. Staff is really nice too! Fresh and quality ingredients. Highly recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous pizza. I have eaten many a pizza, hence my type 2 diagnosis but on reflection I would rate this as possibly my best pizza. Friendly attentive service, without being pushy. I would have loved to try the pudding but even for me I was too full. We were there for opening but it soon filled up. I could see a French person calling the waiter over to gesture how good the food was. So it pleases the French☺️
Elizabeth S — Google review
This fantastic Italian restaurant offers authentic Neapolitan pizza with a light, airy, and soft crust, topped with creamy buffina and a simple yet juicy tomato sauce. Combined with excellent service, it's a 100% must visit. Hurry down as I sure will do again very shortly!

The best pizza I have eaten recently without a doubt. The only thing is that the waiters were not very friendly and they were always rushing you but the rest, great! • Service: ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ • Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Food Presentation : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

VERY delicious pizza and super cozy place to sit outside on the street in the evening! The service was attentive and accepted special requests. It does get quite busy in the evenings, and the tables are very close together. But that isn’t a problem when you like the cozy vibe overall, than its just perfect.🤌🏼

Came recommended from an article we read and also going off Google reviews and did not disappoint. Such tasty pizza with excellent dough but still light. We had burrrata salad to start followed by Tartufo pizza and both were delicious.
Tom C — Google review
Great spot for a pizza. Loved talked to the owner about their oven. It’s a beautiful oven and makes delicious neopolitan pizza. And it’s electric! Such a cool innovation. We also had the mozarelle fumee for a starter, which was delightful. A note that they do take reservations so might want to call ahead of time if going at a peak hour like 8pm. We went at 7pm as a party of 2 and were able to get a table. They do a lot of take out as well!

Top quality ingredients that shine in the pizza! Everything feels fresh and delicious! You can tell a lot of care goes into providing excellent food. We were lucky to grab the last table without a reservation. The staff is super welcoming and friendly to locals and forgeries alike. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxing. The dough of the pizza was out of this world delicious!!!

Masaniello - Pizzeria e Cucina is a little piece of Italy in Bordeaux, run by three brothers from Naples who are members of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. This non-profit organization ensures the authenticity of Neapolitan pizza, so you can expect genuine flavors. The pizzeria offers traditional Neapolitan pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven and also serves other Neapolitan dishes made from fresh and seasonal ingredients imported from Naples.
Best pizza outside of Italy. I'm plant based (vegan) and they were accommodating in not adding dairy to their vegetarian pizza. 2nd time we have been. Maître d' was very nice and English throughout the staff was great.
Adam S — Google review
Busy yet quite nice place.. But we were kind of disappointed with the pizzas and my friend felt a bit discomfort after. I could definitely tell that our choice I would not recommend to others. Service was good , the girl was friendly and attentive. Even they were very busy. Drinks were good and interesting selection of Italian vines.
Alexej — Google review
The food was really great and you could really taste the authenticity. The serving volume is perfect and the price is even lower than the quality that you get. Very good value for the price. I heard the chefs speaking Italian and it added to the good atmosphere as we aim for authenticity. I had a great dining experience here. You should come and try

A small restaurant in the heart of Bordeaux with Italian cuisine. One of the tastiest pizzas in town for sure. Fast service and friendly staff. Worth a visit. It is advisable to make a reservation.

Great pizza restaurant in Bordeaux. The truffle pea salad was amazing. The pizza is cook with a wood burning oven which give an amazing texture. The dough is crisp and service was friendly. A great place for quick bite as the food comes out fast. The price is excellent for the generous portion of pizza and salad serving.

Very nice authentic Napolitan pizza! We tried Regina pizza which was very good! Delicious dough, cooked in the fire oven, with freshly prepared tomatosauce and very good italian jambon! The Caprese salad was very nice too. Good prices with Fork also. The only downside was that the wine quality was not the best (We tried their Primitivo by glass)...
Natasa B — Google review
If you’re a pizza lover like me, I highly recommend visiting this Italian pizzeria restaurant. The first thing that caught my attention was the vibrant and fresh toppings. Each ingredient seemed to have been carefully selected for its quality and flavor. The tomatoes were ripe and bursting with juiciness, while the mozzarella cheese was perfectly melted. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water in anticipation. The base was light, fluffy, and soft, it had the perfect balance of chewiness and tenderness. The crust had a delicate crispness on the outside, while remaining pillowy and airy on the inside… The service was fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Despite the restaurant’s being full, we never felt rushed, allowing us to enjoy our dining experience to the fullest…
Kam K — Google review
There's a reason why this place is always packed, the pizza is so good that you'll believe you've somehow been transported to Italy for dinner! Just look at my pics and I can assure you, it tastes even better than it looks. The restaurant was clean and homey, the ambient music wasn't too loud or distracting, and the restroom was nice as well. Furthermore, they had a good list of Italian wines to choose from, which was a nice change from the heavier Bordeaux's we'd been tasting. This place is an exceptional value-for-money and a must to eat at in Bordeaux. I hope readers find my review and photos helpful. #TabesTravels

Peppone is a beloved pizzeria nestled in the vibrant heart of Bordeaux, just steps away from Gambetta. This bustling eatery draws crowds with its authentic Italian offerings, showcasing a menu filled with mouthwatering pizzas and handmade pastas. The atmosphere is inviting, featuring enticing displays of fresh Parmesan and prosciutto that greet you as you enter. One standout dish is the pizza-oven baked lasagna, which has earned rave reviews among patrons.
From beginning to end, it was really nice. We had Carbonara Tagliatelle y Spaguetti Ricotta which was really good! we also shared the tiramisu in dessert as we were scared to not finish it, but it was perfect. Staff was really nice, it was busy for a Monday night. I think you can reserve a table only by phone, tables are a little bit closed to each other but this is the same everywhere in Bordeaux. If you are looking for a good italian, it’s definitely the place.

Always a great option for nice Italian pasta or pizza in Bordeaux. Pasta is always yummy, great cocktails. Delicious desserts. Large wine cave to pick your wine from (no wine list). Walk-in only, no booking but rather easy to have a table, they serve rather late too.

Quintessential Italian restaurant with great pizza and pasta dishes lovely wine and ever so friendly staff! We went on a Wednesday evening and walked straight in, grabbed a table and had a lovely experience with great pizza, fresh beer and great ambiance.

If you are looking for a place to have an incredible dinner, look no further. The food is incredibly delicious! The meal I ordered looked bet basic but the combination of arugula, grilled beef and spaghetti noodles were so flavorful. Each flavor complementing the other so well. Each person with me said their food was full of dominant flavors that left them speechless. The only suggestion for them would be to have at least one menu in English. We made it through with technology to translate the menu. The service was quick and friendly. Even though she didn't know very much English, she was very patient and did an incredible job helping us figure out what we wanted! Definitely in my top 20 of restaurants, worldwide!

We stopped in while touring Bordeaux on a Saturday and we were able to get a table and it was just so fantastic. We ordered 2 salads and they were beyond delicious. Our server asked me if I wanted to see the “Cave”, well she took me down into an amazing wine cellar. Beautifully designed space with bottles of wine artistically placed and decorated with saints and candle lit. What a lovely experience. If you eat here do go tour the Cave. The Italian food here is renowned by the locals and the portions are huge. You don’t want to miss this great restaurant.

Monzù Grands Hommes is a vibrant Italian eatery with high ceilings and a stylish bar that specializes in creative pizzas and cocktails. The restaurant offers a charming ambiance, where the pizza dough is prepared 48 hours in advance, resulting in a unique texture. Guests have praised the delicious pizzas and friendly staff, recommending making reservations due to its popularity. The menu is in French, but the welcoming atmosphere and inventive dishes make it a must-visit for lovers of good Italian food.
Ended up here by accident, but had a lovely meal out on the terrace. Amazing atmosphere with all the plants in the summer sun. I was so impressed by the pizzas - we’ve been travelling across France and these are certainly the best we’ve had albeit a bit on the pricey side. Great service - took our order 5 minutes before kitchen opened as we had two young children in tow and brought everything out quickly. A grown up atmosphere, but also nice to take a baby and a toddler. There was colouring and a children’s menu. Loved!

Monzù served good Italian food with rich flavors and quality ingredients. The ambiance was nice and the menu had some great options. However, the service was a bit underwhelming—slow at times and not very attentive. Still, worth a visit if you’re in the mood for a solid Italian meal and don’t mind a relaxed pace.

Great food, fast delivery, friendly staff and a cosy place. I had the Fuoco Rosso pizza, best pizza I’ve ever had! I hope to come back for the pizza when I visit Bordeaux.

One of the best pizzas I ever had, 10/10 would recommend. The overall aesthetic and vibe of the place made you feel right at home and the presentation of the dishes were spectacular! The tiramisu was also very delicious and staff was very friendly! The menu is in French so if you do not speak French you will need google translate for menu.

Pizza had a nice crust at the edges, but the center was very soggy. Both pizza we were served had soggy bottoms. Also the food came out at room temperature, not hot at all. Taste was ok. The restaurant has a trendy vibe and it is in a good location. The decor is attractive. The service was good as well. Just wish the food was better.

Palatino is a laid-back Italian restaurant located in Bordeaux, France. The restaurant offers a charming and playful decor with colorful vintage plates and an Italian-speaking staff. The 850m2 space features ancient stone vaults and a balcony reminiscent of an ancient theater, creating a unique dining atmosphere. Palatino serves authentic Italian cuisine including pasta, pizzas, grills, and desserts made with imported products.
From the moment you walk in, you’re wrapped in warmth. The staff are incredibly attentive, striking just the right balance of presence and discretion. On the plate? A festival of balanced, inventive flavors — bold but never over the top. You can feel the passion in every bite. It’s rare to experience this kind of culinary emotion without it feeling pretentious. Here, everything is honest, heartfelt, and deeply delicious. A standing ovation.

Absolutely outstanding! The food was simply amazing — the quality of the products and the flavors were just like in Italy itself, if not even better. A big plus is the level of service, which is truly exceptional for France — more comparable to the five-star service you’d find on a luxury American cruise line. An absolute must-visit restaurant! And of course, a huge thank you to our wonderful waitress, Christiana, who was extraordinarily attentive and made the experience unforgettable. Reservation well in advance is highly recommended, as this gem is understandably in high demand.

As someone who has been living in Italy for years, my partner and I truly loved the vibe of the place!🫶🏼✨ Our reservation was at the time of the opening and we were greeted with a very enthusiastic “BUONASERA” from the staff. The restaurant from outside looks small and quaint but upon entering we were happily surprised by the interiors and the size of the whole place. The Italian vibe was very on point, we even misspoke some Italian words while ordering but the staff were very knowledgeable and understood what we said👏🏼 We ordered the steak, cheesecake, truffle pasta and pesto pasta and YES, I can confirm that the truffle pasta stands out ✨ È stata un’esperienza bellissima, grazie di cuore Palatino!

Among the most perfectly executed pastas we've had anywhere in the world. Unique atmosphere for an Italian restaurant in France with a 70s disco theme sprinkled in corners and pockets of the space (e.g. fluorescent lights in the stairwells and random statues of butts among busts of Caesars). Short menu but leaves nothing to be desired. Beyond the pasta, the pizza was also perfectly done. Even the plain buttered pasta for kids was perfect - such pride in every dish. Must get the truffle pasta from the cheese wheel for a memorable experience!

This place is soo kitsch and so we'll put together. Decor was amazing and fun and the food is seems to be cooked by the real nonna. Pizza "Rest in peach" was really nice and the dough was sooo good. The portion of the pasta dishes are pretty big and the Tigramisù ...well...still having wet thoughts about that one. 🤌

It would be 5 stars on food but they were out of a bottle of wine we tried to order, and also the dessert. But what a fun atmosphere and the carbonara and truffle pastas we ordered were fantastic. Burrata w/pesto appetizer was great!

20000+ 4.9 star positive reviews isn’t just an accident, these guys know how to do Italian and they do it really well. felt like I was back in Naples best Neapolitan Pizza and amazing pasta dishes. All just delicious and so quick to come out. Trust me you need to visit here on your next Bordeaux visit.

Beware! The food and service were very good. Unfortunately, shortly after we sat down in the Ferrari room in the up stairs, a rat scampered across my feet. I was not alone as the other two tables nearer the balcony felt the same thing. It’s too bad that they don’t employ better vermin control to ensure a cleaner experience.

Pizzeria Filippo is a great restaurant serving delicious Italian-style pizza. The staff are welcoming and the food is excellent, making it a perfect spot for a meal out. The pizzas are cooked to perfection and the ingredients are of high quality, resulting in mouth-watering results. This hidden gem is definitely worth a visit!
Perfect pizza we nearly missed out on! We very nearly didn't book at Pizzeria Filippo because when you look on Google up pops a message saying 'Cash only'. We went ahead anyway as it looked so good, and we made the right call. Having enjoyed really excellent pizzas we requested our bill, euros at the ready. To our surprise a cash machine was offered and we paid by credit card. Speaking to the very friendly owners we heard that they'd been trying for two years to get Google to remove this erroneous 'cash only' pop-up information! It seems very likely that they will have lost many customers due to Google's failure to amend their database. This is very unfair on a small business and I resolved to try and fix their problem for them...

The restaurant provides street-side seating, adding to its charming ambiance. It is an extension of the renowned Cosi si mangia grocery store, embodying the spirit of Italian coffee shops that was previously absent in Bordeaux. The small yet cozy place welcomes guests daily from 9 am to midnight.
Exceptional food and service for international customers! I recently visited Poggetti and was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff provided exceptional service, patiently translating the menu and ensuring my comfort. I highly recommend this restaurant for an outstanding dining experience.

While the pizzas were good, the wine was warm as the weather outside. Despite the ice bucket I asked for, as it contained just a hand of ice cubes, the wine remained warm and I had to take it home and put it in the fridge.

Well... Diavola pizza is pretty solid! Drinks are okay priced and yummy. Atmosphere is okay. Service sucked, however. Our drinker were spilled all over us. Pizza was spilled all over the table next to us. At least the entire was comped. All in all, this dinner ruined about $200+ in clothes so it's hard to recommend.... But the pizza was good!

Lume, an Italian restaurant located in Bordeaux, France, offers a unique dining experience with creative tasting menus that showcase contemporary interpretations of traditional Venetian dishes. Set in an elegant and charming atmosphere, Lume is tucked away on a side street near Place de la Bourse, creating a lively and vibrant ambiance. The restaurant serves a variety of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine with options for both vegetarian and vegan diners.
A friend of mine said if I could get a reservation here while in bordeaux, I should, because it's sublime. He wasn't wrong. From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Each dish's ingredients were explained to us, where they came from, why they were in the dish, and how it was prepared. Every dish was a star. The wine pairings were perfect. So now I'm passing it along. If you get the chance to go, you should. It's sublime.
James C — Google review
You walk into an oasis of calm. The wife-chef pair run a nice restaurant. The menu is “omakase”. The sole server gave us a wonderful wine recommendation and presented each dish with a thorough and careful explanation. She also graciously accepted an unusual request from our party to have a smaller wine glass. The plates/dish/cup/water pitcher/bowls are all themed ceramic pieces with the natural and white enamel glaze. They tie in seamlessly with the decor and walls of the restaurant. The lighting in the restaurant is thoughtful and contributes to a romantic mood. All tables except ours were for couples. We were told the menu is largely fish and appointed/accompanied by spring produce. We liked all the offerings but could forego the carbonara pasta dish. Each dish is beautifully designed and presented. Portion sizes could have been smaller given the many savory dishes provided.
Nina V — Google review
Very nice food and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s run by a couple that give very attentive service. As it’s just the two of them sometimes they are busy with other tables and you have to wait a little but that is ok. Extensive wine list focusing mostly on Italian wine but with French and more adventurous wines from as far as Georgia. Very nice food but be prepared for a very fish focused menu and some very cleaver dishes

Sean J — Google review
Lume was one of the best things we did while in Bordeaux! The food and service were incredible. The husband and wife team are so kind and knowledgeable. The chef prepared dishes that told a story, and they were beautifully presented and explained every time. The wine pairing was also fantastic. If you find yourself traveling to Bordeaux, make reservations here. You won't be disappointed!
Jake H — Google review
Lume was an incredible dining experience. One of the best meals we had during a week in Bordeaux. Service and atmosphere are elegant yet simple, comfortable, present, and unobtrusive. The chef blends flavors which are bold yet perfectly executed. Presentation of dishes is fantastic. I assume this restaurant will have a star very soon and it absolutely deserves it. We will definitely return on our next trip to Bordeaux.
Kyle W — Google review
I almost didn’t leave a review because Lume is already well rated, but our experience was so superb I felt obligated. Alice and Riccardo work alone to manage the kitchen/front of house and served my fiancée and I one of the best meals of our lives. It’s made clear on the website that dishes are seafood-focused, which we love, but be aware. Thank you both!
Andy C — Google review
What an amazing experience! Tucked away in small street is this charming restaurant. Cuisine, service and hospitality were all exceptional. As if the world class cuisine wasn’t impressive enough, the service by the Chef’s partner in the dining room told a story that made the visit all the more memorable. The wine list is sourced from mostly Italian, low intervention winemakers. I’d highly recommend the wine pairing option, as each selection really paired well with the food. This wonderful little restaurant is sure to impress even the most sophisticated palates. I highly recommend Lume and hope to return again someday.

Went with 6 friends and had a good time! Very affordable, both food and wine. Services was okay a little slow for our liking. But the food came out good. The only thing was some of the meats were overly cooked! Other than that had a wonderful time.

Ok food, decent wine and a lively atmosphere. On a busy Friday I took a table of nine here for a carb loading dinner before the marathon du Médoc. The price was reasonable and the food portions looked big. We had nothing to complain about in terms of what we ate, it was just middle of the road pasta and pizzas. The service tho while we had an incredibly friendly waiter was seriously lacking. The food came out slow (over an hour after ordering) and the kitchen clearly couldn't manage. It's just OK if your in a fix

Les Halles Bacalan, also known as Halles de Bacalan, is a popular food market in Bordeaux that opened in 2017. It has quickly become a favorite spot for food enthusiasts, offering a wide array of gourmet foods and drinks. The market features over twenty farmers, artisanal traders, and regional chefs who come together to create a unique food court experience.
One of my favourites places to eat in Bordeaux. There is a wide range of food, with savoury and sweet. They also offer wine, smoothies and cafe. There's sitting indoors and outdoors. And it's all super tasty and very cheap. Would have popped again if I had time yo try other option .

Awesome market with huge choice of fantastic food. Bustling and great way to spend an afternoon sipping wine and trying all of the choices. From steak and chips to oysters, tapas, pastas, salads and more!

We came here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised -- we went to the Paul Bocuse one in Lyon and thought it was a tourist trap. This one may still cater to tourists, but the food was good, the ambience was much better, and you can actually just get a few items in each place and try a little bit of everything in the shared seating areas. As for the food, we ordered steak from Bar A Viande, wine from Vinimarche, as well as chocolate mousse and vanilla flan from Tchu and everything was excellent. Would definitely recommend this food hall, and already planning on coming back tomorrow. Edit: We did come back 2 days after to L'etal Iberique, and were extremely disappointed. We each ordered 5 of the sliced bread with toppings on top (so 10 different ones), and they ranged from average to bad.. would not recommend this place, but still loved all the other establishments here.

We arrived today at 12noon as a group of 5. We made a reservation and asked to sit in the nicer sitting area in the back but the waitress said that it was not possible. After we sat down, she gave us the lunch menu which only included pizza and pasta. We were not provided the large black board with the specials like cacio e pepe and escalope veal with spaghetti. When I asked her about it, she abruptly told me that it was over by the other side where the other couple was sitting at the other side of the room. I ended up changing my pasta order from the menu to the escalope veal with spaghetti. After we finished our meal which was delicious, we wanted to get a side order of pasta for my friend's child and when we asked the waitress if we could order a side order of pasta, she said no but suggested that we order another escalope veal with spaghetti. Never in all my years of eating in Bordeaux, have I ever had a waitress suggest to me to order an entire plat just to have pasta. When I declined, she went to the kitchen and came back and rudely told us that the chef can make us a bowl of spaghetti for 10 euros. There was another older lady wearing green that was much nicer than the younger waitress. All in all, the food was good but the service could be better. We spoke entirely in french with the younger waitress so it wasn't a language barrier rather she was either overwhelmed or just didn't care for our business. Will not recommend this restaurant to any of my Bordelais friends.
Rachel B — Google review

Hadn't booked so ended up on a table by the door. Not the restaurant's fault but the occasional blast of cold air was "invigorating". Good service . The food is excellent. Arancini with three cheeses followed by pizza Diavola. A couple beers. Enjoyed it and would go again.

We loved it. The staff was amazing, even with our demanding child, the cheesus christ pizza was amazing and the tiramisu was child friendly (no alcohol, no coffee) and amazingly light, I recommend trying it. It really feels like being in mama's kitchen as the oven is in the middle of the restaurant.

Mamma mia, the pizza is excellent! 👌🏼 We are total pizza snobs, and this neapolitan style pizza exceeded our expectations. Amazing dough, great puff and char on the crusts. And it was fun to watch the chef launching the pizzas into the oven, especially coming in from a cold and wet day. House red was tasty too.

Tripletta located at Saint Michaels Square, Bordeaux. It is an Italian style location restaurant with a minimal menu. You can find it online. We had the lasagna and the pizza. Margarita; it was cool. Very tasty and as you see, they have an oven in the back similar to Italy, where they cook up that pizza for you nice and fresh. The price is like medium cheap. You gotta have a little bit of money in your pocket to be able to afford everything you want to eat. After all Saint Michael Square is a little bit of a tourist area so you know we gotta pay the price. This is a place worth coming to see the visit if you watch people walk by and enjoy themselves like you as you enjoy your meal this location

(Translated by Google) The pizzas are good, generous (and piping hot😋), and ready fairly quickly. I'd recommend calling ahead and picking up, as there's no seating in this cold weather, which can be a drawback. The facade doesn't do it justice, but we're dealing with efficient people, who only do takeaway anyway. Right in the center of Bordeaux, it's super convenient. Bring cash for payment, but there's an ATM right next door in case you forget :) Be careful with the old menus; the prices have been updated.

Nestled in the vibrant Marche des Capucins, IT - Italian Trattoria Bordeaux St Rémi is a delightful spot that brings the authentic taste of Italy to life without breaking the bank. This charming trattoria prides itself on using fresh ingredients, with no freezers in sight. Guests can watch as their pizzas are crafted right before their eyes, ensuring a truly engaging dining experience. The menu features classic flavors and crispy crusts that keep patrons coming back for more.
The place has a warm and stylish atmosphere. The staff were extremely kind and friendly, especially the blonde lady at the counter who was very polite. Being greeted so warmly on our first day in Bordeaux made us really happy. As for the pizza, it was absolutely amazing. The crust was thin, the toppings were just right, and everything was incredibly fresh. The pasta was light and tasty, but it felt a bit overshadowed by the pizza. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again!
Buse D — Google review
Super touristic place, beautiful plates but food was not good. I ordered pasta bolognaise and it was raw. They cocked another one for me, but it took a lot of time to wait.

Amazing service, fantastic wine! The Muscato d'Asti is sweet and sparkling with floral notes. Great manager with a lot of experience! Will be back next time I'm in town ;)
Claire W — Google review
We have been here before and enjoyed it for a quick meal out while shopping in Bordeaux. This time queue was long, it took ages to process some orders, same for the drinks, as busy trying to sort ingredients for cocktails so we had to wait awhile for out wine. Our Pizza was finally ready and yes quality is good. Think the place needs to have a good look at its offering and process when ordering.
John D — Google review
Great place to grab a quick bite. It’s more or less like a big Italian food court. You place your order and collect it form the kitchen when ready. There is plenty of seating, both inside and outside. The prices are very reasonable. We only tried the margarita pizza which was very nice. Super thin and well made.
Dhanya V — Google review
This is a fast food place. Don’t expect much. They don’t even listen to you when you order. I ordered spaghetti Bolognese and asked three times when ordering if the pasta was spaghetti and the girl said Yes. When I go to pick up the order the pasta is penne, which I hate. So when I told the guys that I ordered spaghetti one said this type of pasta comes with penne and can’t be changed, the other one said We didn’t get the memo. So I don’t know where the truth lies. But regardless the taste was not good and the whole experience was just a waste of money.
Emilia T — Google review
First time here and wasn’t disappointed. We thought we were walking into a traditional restaurant but quickly realised it was a fast food joint. Put simply, you order at the entrance, find a table and when your buzzer lights up, you get your meal from the kitchen counter. Sounds very prescriptive but don’t be put off. The food was excellent and the staff extremely helpful. By 9pm it was extremely busy and you have to be quick to find a table. Overall, very different but fun, with a side of excellent Italian cuisine.
Les F — Google review
The place was really pretty and it is well located. It's self service, you pay for your meal when you order and you have to wait to go get it. We had to wait for a while, 20 minutes, and the food was cold when it was ready. The plates are quite big so I think the quantity is worth the price but it was rather cold. My friend ordered an extra and they didn't have it but overall the place was really pretty but it took too long and the pasta wasn't actually worth the wait and having to go downstairs grab your plate and go sit as if you were in school.

La Pizz is a cozy evening spot in Bordeaux that offers delicious pizzas and a great selection of beers. The atmosphere is laid-back, with game nights adding to the fun. Visitors rave about the fresh ingredients, perfectly baked dough, and reasonable prices. The owner is described as cute, enthusiastic, and caring towards customers. Guests appreciate the welcoming environment and the opportunity to enjoy board games while savoring outstanding pizza.
Of all the Bordeaux pizzerias I've been to, this one has the best experience. All the ingredients are fresh, the dough is baked just right, and the price is reasonable. The boss is very cute and enthusiastic, the customers who come to visit are basically regular customers. If you want to hang out with friends or families, this is a great choice.

We came in tired and looking for a simple meal but were so happily surprised! Great pizza, great staff and owner, great music and atmosphere! Seems popular for takeaway but it’s very worth it to hang around for dessert, a chat and some board games <3

The owner was quite unpleasant as soon as we walked in. He gave us the worst table near the door on a cold and rainy night even though he had other spots to sit us. He made excuses for not sitting us there. The place look rundown and the vibe was not pleasant either in general so I am glad we eventually left. The pizzas look good in the photos but with everything else I am not sure this is the place for a pleasant night or a date.

I was not able to stay at their appartment because my Son was sick and Even though there was no free cancelation anymore they allow us to cancel and refund us from each night someone booked until our check in. I am trying to get a refund from a free cancellation booking and the propriety is not even giving me my money back. I am happy to cancel this comment once I'll have my money back . This is unavailable!
Vittoria S — Google review
“Free cancelation” is a big lie. It’s almost like a scam. Please read other people’s comments below so you will now. Don’t take the risk. I’ve never seen anything like this in any other countries. I’m speechless.
Mango N — Google review
Firstly, I did not stay here in the end. This review is based on my dealings with Bordeaux Traditions (from now BT). 1) I made a reservation, but cancelled soon after on discovering that there is a 500 euro deposit.Yes, 500 euro for a 5 night stay! Given my experience with BT, let's just say that I am glad I didn't pay it. (Admittedly, I should have noticed this when booking. But never in my life have I paid a deposit for a short stay and I travel frequently) 2) I chose the "free cancellation" option, but ultimately I didn't get it. BT take the payment immediately, even if you have "free cancellation" until October (as I had). While they are quick to take the payment, they are rather slow to give the refund. This means that with the fluctuations in currency I lost about 25 euros. Not a huge amount of money, I accept. But I chose "free cancellation" (you pay an elevated price for this service), so, I expect to get back the full amount that I paid. The problem here is that this company takes the money before the cancellation period expires. Why do this!?? 3) While waiting patiently for my refund, with the reservation now CANCELLED, my bank notified me that BT were trying to debit my account a second time! Around another 500 euros. I had to dash to the bank, block and then cancel my card (on advice by the bank). When I asked BT what the hell was going on, an incredibly rude person simply refused to accept any responsibility for this! Like I was just making it up! Incredible. And not a hint of an apology for the trouble they caused me either (at the end of the day I can forgive an honest mistake). 4) I made this reservation with Booking.com. I will include them in this review because I think that they should accept a bit more responsibility for hosting and promoting these companies. Also, you didn't allow me to leave a review of BT on your app. Why not? Do you not think future customers have a right to hear about my awful experience with these people? You make these companies look amazing, burying the negative reviews and highlighting the positive ones. I am fed up being deceived, and I do not have time to check every detail to make sure there are no "surprises" So, after many years, I'll be exploring other travel apps in future
Matthew R — Google review
