Patisserie
Boulangerie "Au Pétrin Moissagais" is a historic bakery located on 72 Cours de la Martinique in Bordeaux, dating back to 1765. The owner, Serge, takes pride in preserving Gascognian traditions by baking original Gascognian white bread in the same wood-burning oven that has been used since the bakery's opening over two centuries ago. Visitors can experience the authentic ambiance of this rustic space and witness the traditional baking process.
Amazing bakery in Bordeaux. We enjoyed all food we bought there and ate there ( sandwiches , bread, pastries, cakes ). Brought back home bread and pastries and finished them in 4 days, pastry quicker of course. You can have your sandwich ,pastry in place. Oven old fashioned,my grandmother used to do bread in bricklayer oven. I am so delighted I by chance found that bakery.

Amazing bread both integral and baguette! Croissants and pain au chocolates, the atmosphere is great also the woman who works there was super nice! Beautiful Boulangerie, highly recommended!

If you are in search of the perfect croissant look no further. Very friendly and accommodating staff made me feel very welcomed. The boulangerie is complete with a huge (warm) oven for the perfect Instagram experience
Johanna G — Google review
This is the oldest bakery I’ve ever visited. There’s an incredible variety of breads and both sweet and savory pastries — absolutely fascinating! If you’re in Bordeaux, take the time to stop by, it’s truly worth it. 🥐🥖
Naru M — Google review
I want to move into that bakery and spend the rest of days eating their bread & pastries. Very welcoming staff & reasonable prices.
Sami A — Google review
This place is truly a gem and my absolute favourite. Steeped in history, the wood-fired oven is a magnificent sight to behold and a real treat to experience in person. I have had the pleasure of trying their baguette, croissant, chocolatine, pain aux raisins, quiche aux poireaux, and flammekueche. Each item is simply delightful and delicious. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming, with a family-friendly vibe that makes every visit a pleasure. I simply adore this place and highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic French boulangerie experience.
Julia C — Google review
Best croissant and pain au chocolate we had in France! Their bread was also great! All freshly baked in an old wood fired oven of 1765! A great experience if you are in Bordeaux!
Natasa B — Google review
Authentic, and old! This place dates back to 1765, during the reign of King Louis XV. They still bake the bread, and pastries in the same oven and I swear I could taste history in each bite of my quiche. There is a grand table up the back, close to the oven, that a group of men were celebrating a birthday. It was a great setting, and everyone was having a great time.

Boulangerie "Maison Lamour Judaïque" is a renowned bakery in Bordeaux, known for its exceptional pastries and bread. The brioche with dried fruit and the focaccia are standout items, along with the delectable eclairs. They offer a great selection of viennoiseries, cakes, and sandwiches at lunchtime. The tarte au citron is described as fantastic with a perfect crust and delicious lemon custard.
First experience at Maison Lamour, came to pick up some of their special Flan and some sourdough. Great shop with beautiful products on display, very attracting looking french boulangerie and pâtisserie specialities. Great and prompt service. The french classic flan with tonka beans was delicious! The walnut bread and rye bread were fantastic. I’ll be back !
Laëtitia D — Google review
Excellent bakery with friendly service and prices. We came in for sandwiches, but they weren't available on the weekend...their wraps and treats were yummy, though! Don't miss the brioche.
Agnes G — Google review
Viennoiseries and cakes are great. But at lunch time, they have a good selection of sandwiches. They had only one non-meat sandwich, but it was very tasty. Both times I went to, there was a queue of people waiting along the narrow store waiting to pay for their selections.

A wonderful local French bakery! Excellently priced, good selection, and friendly service. Would definitely recommend!

Gorgeous boulangerie, with one of the most impressive ranges of bread across Bordeaux. Lemon tart was perfectly balanced, definitely recommend!

BAG_Bakery Art Gallery is a unique venue that combines a bakery, art gallery, and contemporary space in Bordeaux. Located at 24 rue du Mirail, this organic and gluten-free bakery offers a wide range of bread, pastries, and cakes. The establishment also features a gourmet bookstore and a tea room that transforms into a space for art and gastronomy discussions.
Incredible breakfast spot, we were planning to check different breakfast place every day when in Bordeaux but it was so good we were coming back every day. The sandwiches are super fresh and the one with smoked fish is just insanely good. Also the coffee is top! And if you go upstairs, you will find the most cosy room to chill with a view.
Ola P — Google review
Beautiful cafe, with photography on the walls and a pretty garden with birds. The canelés were amazing and would go back just for them only. However, I got bread and a few cakes and all we're pretty plain, no rich favours just sugar. Very pretty to look at. A bit disappointing as they are dedicated to just gluten free. Good service and atmosphere.
Yasmin G — Google review
Completely gluten-free boulangerie. As a non-celiac person, I still really enjoyed each pastry. You can tell that they’re not traditional products and there’s something slightly different about the dough, but once you realize they’re entirely gluten-free, you can truly appreciate them. The place itself is very artistic, with beautiful photographs and even a small art gallery inside.
Rachele M — Google review
A wonderful find for someone like me who follows a largely gluten-free diet! There was an extensive selection of baked goods: cakes, breads, pastries, and even savory options with delicious toppings. Everything was presented in the typically culinary and aesthetic French way. The beautiful courtyard terrace, in the classic Bordeaux style, makes it the perfect place to start my day in Bordeaux from now on. There’s also a small art exhibition to enjoy. Lovely young staff and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Nicole G — Google review
Best gluten free bakery I have ever been too. Everything was amazing thank you very much from a very grateful coeliac 😍
Karen R — Google review
The fig tart, cannelés, and gâteau basque were delicious! I also really enjoyed being in their lovely terrace, and it is fantastic that they allow dogs. It was great to have a few savoury options (sandwiches, quiches, etc..), however the quiche was very bland and disappointing. The bread in the sandwiches was nice as it didn’t crumble away like a lot of gluten-free bread, but it was quite dry. The flan wasn’t particularly tasty, and I would really recommend having the gateau basque instead. Drinks: I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of hot and cold drinks on offer. Service: Finally, when I got home I realised that I paid for items that weren’t packed in my takeaway bag. The staff were trying their best to cope with the very high demand which made things quite difficult for them. Fully celiac safe as everything is gluten-free.
Ysé M — Google review
Amazing food, decor and ambiance and concept. Don’t miss this in Bordeaux thank you for making our holiday with all delicious gluten free options. Every town should have a BAG art gallery. The eating areas outside and inside are amazing.
Pauline J — Google review
I wish i could give it a 0 but since the lowest grade available is 1, that is what i will give it. I saw this place on google maps, i thought its rating was good that’s why i decided to give it a try. So we opted for a caramel popcorn flan, which looked and tasted nothing like a flan. I was given by the lady the flan with The top side of the flan broken i saw 2 pieces of flans in this bakery and i was given the broken one. That’s it for aesthetics, let’s talk about taste now, the caramel popcorn? Well no taste of popcorn? The caramel was burnt so it had an unpleasant bitter and ashy taste. The crumble was passable (i would even say not buttery enough). The real issue is on the inside. It looked and tasted nothing like a flan. By colour alone, it was too white already to be close to an authentic golden flan. The texture was tragic. The cream was curdled and lumpy, unlike a classic smooth and silky flan. Tastewise it was lifeless. Completely bland to the point of indifference. It was like bititng into an uneven mush of water and flour. Even a drop of vanilla extract could have salvaged something. Overall, we cannot consider this a flan it tasted nothing like a flan, and considering it’s price of 6€ i would not recommend it to anyone.

One of the best sea food options, fresh, accessible prices. It’s a must visit in Bordeux. Open only during the morning to 2 pm, be sure to add it to your list for a good gambas, crab or oysters 😏😋😋😋

Fantastic local market in Bordeaux. Wonderful fresh produce and interesting snacks to buy. Unfortunately, it was a public holiday, so not everything was open, but still enjoyed it. We bought strawberries, fish, cheeses, and other fruit and vegetables
Melinda C — Google review
A nice market to visit. We enjoy having the truffle cheese and Bleu d'Auvergne from the cheese store there too (it’s the stall right at the entrance, with a green signboard). Shop owners were kind and patient in explaining things to us.
Janet L — Google review
Good place for early risers to check out a local market. Good selection of raw seafood, meats and even good wine and pastry. Easy walking from our Airbnb
Fook-Main H — Google review
It’s always nice to see what they have in the local market, isn’t it ? !
Kamala N — Google review
A little disappointing. Not full of stalls by any measure. Produce that was there was good but felt a bit run down.
Malcolm L — Google review
Nice market, lots of fresh and prepared foods. Not too busy on a weekday.
Kari Q — Google review
Impressive market with lots to offer. It is under a roof and seems to have a parking deck on top of it? The stands are packed in and quite large. The smells and sights of the fresh foods overwhelm the senses. Lots of seafood, fresh veggies, bread, cheeses, meats, and even some stands selling household goods, etc. on the outskirts. We went on a Friday and it was fairly crowded, but I imagine it to be bustling on the weekend. There are a few bars/restaurants in each quadrant as well.

Canelés Baillardran is a renowned bakery in Bordeaux, known for its gourmet canelés, a traditional local pastry. The gumdrop-shaped canelés are chewy and intensely caramelized custard pastries that are a must-try when visiting the city. With multiple locations around the city center, Baillardran is considered one of the best places to savor the classic version of this treat.
Kind and welcoming server, the caneles were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside (its what i asked for). The hot drinks selection ddnt disappoint. I recommend this place when visiting Bordeaux city centre.
Jo M — Google review
2.1€ for a small one. I think that it's too expensive, it is tasty tho. My guess is that there are more authentic and cheaper places that offer a better experience overall
Benyamin S — Google review
First and last Time here. Shocking service. Coffee good when it finally was made. Girl seemed more interested in talking with other worker than making the Coffee. Other customers complained also. I'd give lower stars if allowed. Shame really, as it's located in a prime area.
Aidan M — Google review
Awful rude service. Avoid. Particularly the serving girl with the beauty mark who clearly hates her job. If they offer a ’long’ coffee, do not expect it to come with any milk, it is also as bitter as all hell. We had no idea what a ‘long’ Coffee was, we asked for Coffee Grande ( which has always got me a medium coffee- not an expresso). When I asked for milk, she was rude as (swear word) and charged us another £1.20 for the privilege. So, not expensive ( about €3 for a coffee) but so disgusting bitter that you can barely drink it, with diabolically rude service Don’t get me started on the disgusting state of the toilet. The tourist office should NOT be directing tourists here, ( we were offered a free cake on the bus tour) unless they want us to think that Bordeaux is the rudest place on earth! Don’t bother coming in - there’s more atmosphere in McDonalds.
Dawn B — Google review
Very nice canelés, a bit too expensive comparing with other shops. But also not so oily like others. Try also the ones with caramel and praline, loved it but need to say we don’t really get to appreciate the canelé per se.. it’s more like a chocolate
Marcela I — Google review
I recommend this place to buy the caneles which is their famous pastry they do it sooo good !! So for gifting someone you can buy boxes of plain ones or dipped in chocolate or They also have a kit for making you own at home. They have normal macarons that I don’t really recommend but they have macarons of Nancy which is a different type of macarons that aren’t filled with cream and that are a bit crunchy, I recommend you try them there.
Cheffe ( — Google review
Baillardran, renowned for its canelés, faced legal action in early 2025 for consumer fraud. The company was fined €100,000 after it was revealed that some products were frozen and contained artificial flavoring, despite claims of using fresh, natural ingredients. Employees reported being instructed to misinform customers about the freshness of the cakes
Pam S — Google review
Good coffee and canelés. Shame about the appalling service and poor hygiene at the seating area and the restroom. They did not clean tables after patrons left we had to ask for this to be done. The restroom had no toilet paper and when asked for it one staff said: we do not have any toilet paper left. Luckily his colleague went to check and brought a new roll to the restroom. All in all, I would not go back to this branch of Baillardran, as the staff does not know the meaning of service.

Lovely place to visit, this shop is full of bread like come out from fantasy novel, you can see the kitchen in behind. We grab some bread for brunch. We recommended for tourists to come here, to see an amazing place.

Sensational bakery. Pastries stuffed with pralines seem to be their thing so we tried the praline brioche and the praline flan. Both were fantastic. They also serve coffee and there are a few small tables with stools to have a seat, space permitting. Service was very friendly and so patient with our English french. The way they set out our two items for dining in was done with such care. Thanks, team! Update: returned for more and the praline Choco croissant is must try too! Almond croissant is also fabulous.

I love it here, I saw this boulangerie on a youtu.be blogs of Bordeaux, now I have pass this place on many occasion but never give it a 2nd glance. But today i decided to pop in. I ordered a parisienne along with a cafe, and for takeaway a brioche praline ( their speciality). All delicious.
ŃȚ Ŕ — Google review
Great boulangerie/patisserie with excellent and highly recommended praline brioche and one of the best canelés we had while in Bordeaux. It is a small space with limited seating and rustic vibes. Cappuccinos were good, and we experienced very friendly service who were happy to make recommendations. Clearly a popular place for locals and tourists alike

I would leave 10/5 points if possible. Very kind and welcoming staff, amazing pastries and salty options for breakfast and lunch. The place was constantly full with locals, speaking also for the quality of the food. We went there twice in 3 days and were not disappointed. Boulangerie Louis Lamour is a cozy bakery known for its delightful selection of homemade breads, pastries, and creative baked treats alongside freshly brewed coffee. Visitors praise the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere, with some even expressing a desire to stay longer or apply for an apprenticeship due to their enjoyable experience. The croissants are particularly highlighted as being perfectly baked, not overly flaky or dry. Customers also rave about the cinnamon rolls and escargot pistache chocolat.
Best boulangerie of Bordeaux. We came here to start our tour throw Bordeaux. We decide that the best way to start the day in the city was with a breakfast. We found this place and was the best thing we did. We came before 10.00 and they were full of delicious pastries. The chocolate croissant and the classic croissant are the best ones that I ever taste. Now I’m wondering if I ever taste a real croissant until today. The coffe was really nice too. The service very good. Very nice people, and they speak English and Spanish. So was very easy for us to communicate. We came back at lunch time, and they were almost sold out. Only left the olives focaccia, was delicious, and made the perfect lunch snack for us. And the raisins roll pastry, was really good. I’m so happy was the only pastry they have left, because if they had a croissant probably I would miss to taste this delicious pastry! It’s definitely a place to stop on your visit to Bordeaux, and I highly recommend to be there early in the morning to be able to choose from all the amazing things they have.
Bugli83 — Google review
I read a review here that said you shouldn’t miss their croissants, so the next morning before my trip I went to this pastry shop, I am not a breakfast person and would rarely eat croissants, so I chose the criochoc and it was definitely a nice chouce as the the croissant had a praline filling other than the chocolate, the buttery dough added to the experience. So take the advice and go try this shop.
Cherine — Google review
best in town in my opinion. The food is top level, a great variety from sweet to savory and you get seats to dine in . I have not found any other boulangerie to achieve all those three, in bdx
Edoardo F — Google review
Half of the pastry shelves we empty. Maybe because it's Monday afternoon? Also, I ordered coffee to consume inside the shop and got it served in paper cups. The lady at the counter was fast and friendly but I didn't like the taste of the coffee nor the lack of china and was sad about the small variety of pastries to choose from.
Emmi P — Google review
Everything I've tried is fresh, flavorful and clearly made with love. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy—perfect for grabbing a quick coffee and pastry. Highly recommend!!

Amazing little bakery, we ordered a chocolate croissant and a normal croissant and it was delicious. The orange juice was very fresh and sweet, recommend! Also the cappuccino is worth it. We spend in total 10,9 euros, I would say is cheap for France.

Just here on holidays. We got a quiche Lorraine and two cookies for afternoon tea. Holy heck they're SO GOOD. We're definitely coming back tomorrow to try more things (or maybe just get more of those cookies). We got a praline and something one and a pistachio, white choc and berries one. They were soft and flavoursome and not too sweet. The quiche was also top notch, she heated it up for us in a little toaster oven.

LE PAIN DE LA RENAISSANCE is a bakery that always greets you with a warm and friendly smile. Their offerings are always fresh and their breads are particularly noteworthy, especially the fruit one and the chestnut-hazelnut-honey variety. The selection of breads, pastries, and pastries is extensive and each item is delicious, making it difficult to choose just one. Additionally, they offer a variety of sandwich options for lunch.
We were lucky enough to stay in Bordeaux 4th to 10th May and this was our local boulanger. Literally a 60 second walk. I went every morning for une baguette and two pastries viennoiserie. Even with my basic French, I was greeted warmly and politely and with a warm smile. I was made to feel very welcome indeed. The baguettes and pastries we got every day, we're some of the best I've had in all my years of coming to France. Should you find yourself in Chatrons,Bordeaux, I would wholly recommend a visit to this lovely Boulangerie.

WOW this boulangerie makes DELICIOUS pastries. probably the tastiest i’ve tried in Bordeaux and I’ve been on a mission to try them all. cannot wait to try the chocolatines and croissants. So far i’ve tried la suisse and le chausson aux pommes. AMAZING! I can conclude the chocolatines are also AMAZING!

Frank F — Google review
Really nice small bakery in Bordeaux. I have visited after seeing it in the Meilleur Boulangerie de France television series on M6. I tried their croissant as well as their cinnamon viennoiserie that looked like little pieces of croissant dough stuck together by delicious cinnamon and sugar butter mixture. The croissant was really nice, after tasting so many croissants in France this year I can say it was amongst the better ones though not THE best one. Nevertheless it was still delicious and I don't think you would be disappointed. It's flaky and buttery and very well laminated! The cinnamon pastry was recommended to me and it didn't disappointed though I preferred the pure croissant as this one was maybe a touch too sweet for me but that is personal taste :) Would recommend!

From the melt-in-your-mouth fondant au chocolat to their ever-changing sandwich offerings, this boulangerie has something for everyone. The staff are welcoming and passionate about their products, providing helpful recommendations with a smile. With an array of homemade breads and cakes made from different flours, choosing just one can be difficult.
Boulangeries pas à pas YouTube channel featured this bakery on an episode, the best 9 bakeries in Bordeaux. I put it in my to visit list. I bought a half loaf of the khorason bio. I bake my own bread, I have visited a lot of boulangeries, but this has to be the best bread I have ever tasted. The crust is perfectly crisp, the aroma is amazing and the taste is earthy and complex. It is amazing.

An overall great boulangerie, would highly recommend! Things that I ate here which were showstopping: - fondant au chocolat (a.k.a. molten chocolate cake, a.k.a. pure joy), - kouign-amann (or "the fattiest pastry in all of Europe", accoring to the New York Times), - flan, - croissant, - baguette. And things that were a little more average: - pain au chocolat, - pain aux raisins.

Cool atmosphere in Darwin neighborhood. Huge place divided in different areas where you can go for a drink or take food. There is also an outside area full of lights at night. The staff is professional al thought there is no table service as usually known. We tried hamburgers and they were delicious.

Amazing place to hang out anytime. Love to go with family, friends or just by myself. Thank you Darwin for creating such a beautiful vibrant atmosphere
Gilbert B — Google review
Great atmosphere, the venue is very cool and it's surrounded by local art, skaters and graffiti. Had lunch at the self-service restaurant because the main restaurant closes before 14:00 (a bit disappointed). Everything is bio, sustainable and vegan friendly (hence the high prices). Big space but very busy, a bit unsatisfied with the staff. Food was good.
Lidia C — Google review
We went for brunch here. It's about the closest to an American style brunch I've had. All u can eat. Good assortment of freshly made with variety of drinks (alcohol extra). Not haut cuisine, (think quantity not quality) but fair at 24€. Urban eco style with rehabbed couches and pallets makes for a cool ambience. Get reservations a week in advance. Very locals place.
Rob G — Google review
Other than coffee everything was good.
Shubhesh S — Google review
Although I love Darwin and the concept, they definitely have to look into their kitchen and what they offer to people! I’ve tried the brunch one time and was tasteless and expensive, then I gave it a second chance with a lunch... same thing and now just had 2 pièces of uncooked and tasteless very heavy quiche with some “organic chips” that were completely off and paid 12€ for it. I will definitely not come back to eat any of what they propose as it’s overrated, not tasty and lacks of love!

I am not sure if we went on an off day but the pastries were dry and old. I’m pretty sure they were not from that day. We bought a selection and every single item was stale and tasteless (we bought them at 9 am). The best thing thing about the items we bought were the price. Very cheap! We did however go to Ceres and they were just fanatic. Moist, yet flaky and full of flavour.
A K — Google review
Delicious breads and pastries and good prices. Limited seating, area is a little rough so better for on the go.
Frank F — Google review
Great location and lovely staff. The pastries weren’t quite what we expected. Quite bready rather than crispy (I think liking the texture is personal preference rather than an issue), however the taste was good. We got a mixed berry and chocolate pistachio one.
Tash P — Google review
We had vanilla+choco roll, a pistachio roll and baguette michelin. The rolls were huge and very tasty! Baguette crispy and just as you would expect a French baguette to taste like. The prices seemed too low for such delight!

Some of the best, most delicious pastries I’ve had in France! The almond croissant was to die for. I love how each pastry is not too sweet. They focus more on yummy textures of the pastries. Wonderful balance of crunchy, warm, soft, and chewy. Also the portions are huge for the low price you pay! I ordered two big pastries and they were 3.5 euros total. Great deal. Exceptional quality. Dunes Blanches chez Pascal Bordeaux is a modern patisserie known for its signature cream-filled pastry puffs. These delicate and sweet pastries, similar to cream puffs, have gained popularity and are now available in both Cap Ferret and Bordeaux. The choux pastry filled with light whipped cream and dusted with powdered sugar has become a must-try treat for locals and visitors alike.
Really good. Not only did we go back immediately to get another portion, we returned the next day The seasonal flavour ones were meh, the chocolate wasn't rich. Dark chocolate wasn't sweet at all and that makes it nowhere near as good as the original The original really is something. It's got crispy bits of cereals for texture, and there's good flavour too. Something special, different from your usual Choux. Unfortunately there's this savoury egg smell, it's well hidden and so doesn't rlly affect the experience too much, but it's there
Yizhou W — Google review

Small bakery that only sells and specialises in one sort of small pastry - which was incredible! They're crispy on the outside while being filled with an airy cream. They're so light that you can easily polish off multiple yourself! We had the original one and the chocolate flavour - both were delicious but I think I preferred the original

Excellent, the place is bright, has an ancient / modern feel to it, theservice is friendly, quick. The pastries are as good as they are nice to look at, the precision is visible and the taste very balanced which is something I find lacking in most pastries shops relying to heavily on sugar. We tried the black forest cake, the Matcha and the Japanese cake. What else? They make excellent Cappucinnos!!

I discovered this Patisserie thanks the local guide in Google Maps.. and I decided to test. My friends, this place is really beautiful. A beautiful space with amazing pastries. We found the place while walking by to get to our Airbnb. Later, came in for coffee/tea with eclair and strawberry cake 🍰. The strawberry cake is light and fluffy, not too sweet. The space is gorgeous with the Roman arch, chic French cafe style tables and local artists’ art hanging. The service is excellent. Of course, we had to come back again later to get croissants and other pastries for breakfast. Croissants 🥐 are buttery and crunchy on top. The melon bread is pretty and reminiscent of a Hong Kong breakfast bread called “pineapple bread”.
Luwei D — Google review
All the staff were friendly, even to tourists like us who speak only broken French so that was really helpful. The sweets we had were good but not extraordinary. Maybe I had my hopes too high. The interior of the place is terrible. It looks like it has not been upgraded for a long time. The chairs and tables look really cheap. There is an ugly table with a vivid green cloth (to hide the ugly table) in the middle of the cafe, blocking the space. The decoration they have for Christmas looked not professionally done. Due to the structure of the place, you can see all the way to the kitchen area. I usually like a cafe or a restaurant with an open kitchen but the decoration of the area in this cafe made the entire place look not polished/sophisticated enough to show the kitchen area directly when customers go into the place.

While not exactly a brunch venue, it offers an array of freshly baked croissants and delectable pastries that pair perfectly with their expertly crafted coffee.
This is the best cafe in Bordeaux, I’ve been to probably 90% of the top recommended ones and this is easily the best. It ticks a lot of boxes: great milk coffee, pastries baked on site and excellent selection of teas, merchandise and plenty of space. It’s rare to come across a third wave coffee shop that not only dedicates itself to excellent speciality coffee but also appreciates the value of baking their own food on site. I had the best chocolate pastry of anything I’ve tried in the boulangeries in Bordeaux and to be able to have that accompanied by a 8.4 flat white was excellent. The filter coffee on offer is also good, flavour was special - especially the Columbian fruity beans on offer. The staff deserve a mention as well, really helpful and attentive during a busy time. Faultless.

Super cute patisserie with great coffee and pastries. The quiche was perfect moist and tasty. Each pastry was nicely crafted but our favourites were the pistachio, lemon-basil, puff pastry with brownie inside. Most of all we appreciated the coffee. All were at a super high level. Beautifully brewed and nice varieties. We had geisha, Ethiopia and the blend. Nice guys running the place. They are also dog friendly.
Jahmarley G — Google review
Most polite service you can imagine. Such nice staff! Lovely little place with delectable pastries made in-house and a variety of coffees, including pour over and batch brew filter coffee. Their choice of coffees is on the lighter roast side, so if you're not into acidity, get that sugar ready. Coffee is prepared with utmost care and is served at perfect temp. The shop is located within walking distance from the local market, so it's a good place to stop by on the way there or back. Great value!

We really enjoyed our experience with this cafe - so much so that we returned the next day. Smooth coffee, warm service and a range of pastries and goodies made in house. Flavours were good, unfortunately we caught them just as they were about to close, so the Choux were alr placed in the fridge and thus abit soggy. Can imagine it's much better normally
Yizhou W — Google review
I went in not sure what to buy but received great recommendations. I liked how the choux were not too sweet, and the texture was airy in a way that was different from what I’ve tasted before. The lemon basil shortbread was an interesting combination of flavours. The prices were reasonable, so I wished I could have tried them all, but a person can only eat so much. I’d love the chance to go back and try other flavours.

Though this place is on an off-beaten path, it's definitely worth a visit! As I understood, the desserts are seasonal, depending on the available fruits, so it's always an interesting discovery Big choice of chou (puffs with cream). We tried passion fruit, lemon, and apricot + rosemary. What we appreciated the most is the lightness of the cream and genuine taste of fruits We've also tried sable speculoos / fruits rouges (dessert with speculoos base and cream) and tartalette with verbena and raspberry. Both had tender texture and natural taste of fruits and herbs

I was waiting in the queue and I speak decent french. The man behind the counter asks me to stop and get in queue while it was my turn to order ( thinking that I had jumped the line). It made me pretty anxious. Even the person behind me in the queue told me that it was my turn indeed! Pretty rude staff!

Great for a quick breakfast. It’s one of the few boulangeries and patisseries that open early. They have coffee too. Do know that there is no seating available, so this is just for to-go orders. We ate our breakfast at the tram station across the street where there were benches but it still was a nice experience.

In Bordeaux, Paul offers slightly larger caneles than Baillardran at a price of 1.90. However, the quality may not match up to Baillardran's. The store also provides a great selection of items for travelers heading to Tarbes, with helpful staff offering menu options for cost savings and delicious food choices. While prices may be higher compared to other similar businesses, the coffee and pastries are of good quality.

We were leaving Bordeaux headed for Tarbes and we bought a lot of items for the journey. The young lady that helped us was amazing. We kept adding more sandwiches, desserts and beverages and she even asked if we'd like to make our order a "menu" because we'd save a little bit of money. That gesture was very sweet and very appreciated by us. We thank her, whoever she was. And, as a bonus, the food was delicious.

Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Bordeaux, Le Boudoir de Léa offers a delightful escape reminiscent of a quaint Parisian patisserie. This charming spot specializes in crafting exquisite pastries that blend traditional methods with innovative flavors. Their croissants and éclairs are particularly noteworthy, featuring unique options like matcha, salted caramel, and raspberry. The ambiance is both elegant and cozy, making it feel like stepping into a dreamlike retreat.
We loved this place! The pastries were amazing, perfectly balanced in sweetness. I especially enjoyed their Caramel Le Boudoir pastry; it was smooth, uniquely flavorful, and beautifully presented. We ordered all the pastries to go, and the lady at the counter was very kind and friendly. I don’t think this is a 3.9-star place; the pastries 100% legit, not sure about sit down service.
DemanDuSoleil — Google review
Le Boudoir de Léa is such an elegant and aesthetically beautiful spot—it instantly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a refined, cozy little dream. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious! The mango cheesecake-like dessert was refreshing and unique, and the chocolate choux with nuts was rich, indulgent, and perfectly balanced. The cappuccino was creamy and smooth—just right. What surprised me even more was the price. For three desserts and three coffees, it was only around 50 euros, which is more than reasonable for the quality and experience. You can really feel the care and detail in everything. This place definitely deserves an honorary 5-star review. Can’t wait to come back!

It’s located very close to the tram station, easy to find, but once you step inside, you'll be amazed. The interior is stunning❤️ The colors, decorations, chandeliers, and lighting are all thoughtfully designed. The composition of the space is simply perfect, it truly feels like stepping into a Wes Anderson film ✨💫 The waiter was extremely professional and super friendly, which made the experience even more special. I was so happy to be there, sipping an amazing coffee and enjoying a beautifully presented, delicious dessert ❤️ Thank you to my friend who recommended this place ❤️❤️❤️ I can't wait to visit Bordeaux and this café again soon! ❤️
Jeongeum K — Google review
The tea salon has a charming and pleasant setting, but unfortunately, the positives end there. 1. While the pastries and desserts are good, there’s no guarantee you’ll receive what you order. It seems the quantities are insufficient, yet this isn’t mentioned anywhere. The menu gives the impression that everything is available, which is misleading. We had to revise our order twice, which was frustrating for an establishment of this caliber. Perhaps their popularity is to blame, and if so, good for them—but it doesn’t excuse the apparent lack of organization. 2. The service was slow, and to make matters worse, no teapots were available—an ironic oversight for a tea house. 3. Another surprising misstep: we ordered three desserts, including one for my 2,5 year-old daughter, yet no cutlery was provided for her. This oversight left a particularly sour note. 4. The toilets in the tea house were closed, and a sign directed guests to use the facilities in the nearby hotel bar. Unfortunately, this led to an even more unpleasant experience. An employee named Michel greeted us with clear arrogance. When I asked if there was an issue, he simply dismissed my explanation about the closure and the sign, and even after I pointed it out, he responded with a condescending smile, claiming he was “not aware.” Overall, the hospitality and service at this establishment are far from what one would expect. Service can be taught, but hospitality is an innate quality that either grows within a team or does not. Here, neither was evident. That said, I want to highlight two young waitresses who stood out for their kindness and positive energy: one who took our order and another who helpfully directed me to the toilets. Their efforts were a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing visit. It’s ironic that the older generation in this establishment could learn a lesson in hospitality from the younger staff, whose approach felt far more genuine, agreeable, and service-oriented. We left with a bitter taste, disillusioned by the reception and the lack of organization. For an establishment that aspires to this level, much improvement is needed. This is, of course, just our experience. I hope others have a better one and that the establishment learns from these shortcomings. After all, a great tea house should not only deliver on its menu but also on its hospitality.
Natalia Y — Google review
Beautiful place. Overpriced. Cakes look amazing however they are unsatisfying. When you receive the bill then it becomes a questionable experience and service. 8€ got a small cup of tee. Matcha latte also 8€ plus 1€ extra for almond milk. Even Starbucks has cheaper prices. It took us around 20 minutes to be able to pay and ask several staff members. Finally, we got and could leave. Then the woman behind the counter chased us thinking that we didn't pay. 🙈Great finishing for this experience.

Looking for a NICE breakfast in Bourdeaux? DONT LOOK ANY FURTHER. We stumbled upon this hotel/restaurant on the last day of our trip and were thoroughly impressed. We discovered the finest croissant we've tasted in ages at this quaint, family-run establishment in Bordeaux. And brioche 🥮- I’m in love with 😍 It's a place that deserves recognition for its freshness and quality. We ware so impressed, wanted to take their entire selection home! By far the best ham and cheese croissant I’ve ever had. Very high quality ham and cheese, oozing with rich, creamy béchamel. Pastry itself is absolute textbook - light, flaky, crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. The chocolatine was also amazing.

Delicious! We went on Sunday morning, and they were baking fresh bread as we came in. The chocolatine is the best we’ve had in Bordeaux and the cinnamon roll is 🤩. We also bought a few breads, that are just as delicious. We learned about them from Les Récoltants, where we had an entree made from their bread. The details and artisanship of their bread is top notch!

Best bakery in Bordeaux. They don’t serve coffee (not even for take away) but croissants, brioches and cinnamon rolls that we tried were just unbelievable. Strongly recommended
Martina Q — Google review
Though it is 5 star rated, I think it is a bit over-rated. I bought a croissant and a cinnamon roll. As for breakfast,it does not taste bad, but the bread is not hot or even warm, which lower its grading a bit. Overall speaking, still worth a try.
Kingston C — Google review
I’m a lousy reviewer, hardly leave any even if I like the businesses. But I had to force myself to write something for this gem. Oh my, their bread and pastry are one of a kind. Their baguette is nicely crispy on the crust, with flavorful and perfectly chewy interior. Their kouign-Annan is incredible, as good as you’d get in Bretagne, possibly better. The owners are lovely and very helpful. They speak good English, answered my questions on the types of bread. The price is reasonable considering the quality. I’ll definitely come back again if I’m back in Bordeaux. j'adore cette boulangerie 🥖

(Translated by Google) Maybe a good bakery but when it comes to chicken/raw vegetables sandwiches, the chicken is...almost raw, or undercooked, so straight in the trash. It's not very complicated, how can we forget to do it or not check the cooking?? Another slightly surprising thing: for each category of sandwiches (there are 3) you have to be told what's in it. Not practical because there is sometimes noise (the plexiglass walls also prevent you from hearing clearly) and people waiting for their turn. Curious because a simple sign so that we can choose quietly would do the trick. In short, not great and a little simple effort would be welcome.

I bought boxes of chocolates to bring back to Japan. I have bought chocolates here before and I liked it. There was only one staff serving and she was filling in the box - I saw the box was not filled but she said that it was filled. I could not see it well as she quickly closed the lid and it looked like there were some space but perhaps not enough to put extra ones. There were other customers waiting so I did not want to insist on checking it. However, when I opened the box, there were spaces for two more chocolates - it was the matter of how to put them. Because the price is based on the box rather than weight, I felt really disappointed by this. I wrote to them of this fact, but got no reply of whatsoever. Really disappointed.

Si vous cherchez la qualité du produit, le service et le respect du client il ne faut pas en rien venir ici.

Pastry shop
Tea house
Nestled in the charming Saint-Michel district of Bordeaux, Michel MaBelle stands out as a delightful 100% plant-based pastry shop that truly embraces ethics and ecology. This cozy café offers a warm atmosphere where visitors can indulge in an array of homemade cakes bursting with flavor and creativity. From the delectable pear/chocolate tart to the rich chocolat/hazelnut duo, every bite is a treat for the senses.
Great choice of patisserie items for vegans. Fully vegan too so you can have whatever you want. Matcha wasn't great but the cakes made up for it. Unfortunately no cream was served alongside the scone which is a shame but butter and jam were offered as standard. I thoroughly enjoyed my almost croissant. A few packets of madeleines were purchased to go however these were quite dry and dense (unsure if this is how these cakes are usually). Waitress was friendly. A popular place with each tacle occupied during the time of our visit. A must for vegans in Bordeaux.

The best place to go for coffee and locally made patisseries. We had a selection of plain croissants, almond croissants and a biscuit based kind of cake called a “pauline”, made with fresh strawberries and a crème patisserie, out of this world! There is a nice, clean seating area too. Will definitely come back!
Helen D — Google review
100% vegan cafe but you wouldn’t know it, the “egg white” on top of the citron tarte was exceptional in texture and flavour!
G H — Google review
We sat down for an espresso and small cakes; small and quiet place, excellent coffee and cakes
Iris A — Google review
This place is super cute. I had the Financier Citron and my boyfriend had the Choco Caramel tart. He loved it (and he’s not a vegan). The ambience is super cozy and chill. The lady who took care of us was super nice as well.
Ana J — Google review
I don't often have vegan cakes and I liked my passion fruit tart. The coffee, however, was really weak. The place was empty when we came and the lady behind the counter wasn't particularly friendly or talkative

ALL VEGAN PATISSERIE! I loved it so much I went back twice during my stay in Bordeaux (great city btw). Each time I had two desserts 🤪😋 and I don’t feel guilty. Thank you so much for the delicious treats.

Heaven on earth in terms of vegan pastry, cookies and cakes. Wow, just wow. So many delicious-looking options, can't wait to try some more. Wholeheartedly recommend.

We bought couple of breads in Babel Bread boulangerie, one whole grain and one sort of multigrain. It was so good, out of this world. Highly recommended shop.

Darwin is one of the coolest places in Bordeaux with sustainable shops (e.g. Veja incl. shoe polishing service), 2 of the most stylish bars & boulongeries in France (with perfect Cappucino and Cafe Latte, for which you have to search a loooooong time in France 😁) and cool street art everywhere. Must see and eat.

(Translated by Google) A little disappointed.. I went there given the high marks given to the store and I said to myself that I would be able to find a good bottle of Rum for my brother and above all some advice so as not to make a mistake. In the end I chose my bottle alone, the salesman I dealt with didn't seem to have much mastery of the subject or at least he didn't share his knowledge with me as I hoped, so I had the impression of choosing a bottle as I could have done in a supermarket... I returned home and looked more closely, I noticed that the box was slightly damaged.. In short, I can only hope that the bottle please. . .
