The 38 best spots for guava pancakes in Oahu

I was recommended to go here and I pass along my own recommendation. I would never have ordered them on my own, but after sampling 4 dishes they were my favorite: the Guava Pancakes! My wife and daughter really liked the tropical stuffed French Toast with Portuguese sweet bread. My only recommendation to the chef: add some macadamia to the banana pancakes and they would be 💣

Our breakfast here was wonderful. We shared the special of the day, Corned Beef Eggs Benedict. Well prepared and very tasty. We also had the Tropical French Toast. The pineapple cuts through the sweetness of the cream very well and gives a rich but not overly indulgent flavor. We spent around $60.00 with tip. A glass of soda or tea is almost $5.00. So if you can drink water only, two people will save $10.00. I highly recommend this location and will come back again.

On the recommendation of the therapists at the spa upstairs (check them out!) we stopped for a late lunch. My daughter had the red velvet pancakes, husband kahula pork Benedict and I had the shrimp burger. We also shared a mango stuffed French toast. The French toast was 5+ stars. Husband loved his Benedict. My shrimp burger was good but a little lacking on the shrimp. Lots of bread and three shrimp. It was tasty. Lost a star because the tater tots tasted like old cooking oil. Fries were ok. Pancakes tasty. We brought home plenty of leftover on toast and pancakes. Service was fast and kind.

Great breakfast/brunch spot! Came here with my girlfriend on a Monday morning for breakfast, we were seated immediately and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We were given water almost as soon as we were seated, then ordered coffees while we browsed the menu. I felt no rush from our waitress, who also checked in on us often to make sure we were doing good and to offer free refills of water and coffee. We ended up ordering a variety of things to share and taste test, the rustic eggs benedict, cinnamon roll pancakes, and some limited time Dubai chocolate peanut butter banana pancakes. All the food was incredible! Very good presentation, sizing, and taste. For the portions and flavor, the prices are also very fair. we stayed for almost an hour and a half and still left with to-go boxes! Will definitely be coming back some time!

This place did not disappoint! I’d say it was the best breakfast we had our entire trip (5 days). I had the guava pancakes — delicious. My brother had the red velvet pancakes and liked it (looked like cake!). Portions are hearty and service was great. Nice atmosphere too!

HIGHLY recommend this spot. The staff is wonderful and the ambience is very charming and screams local gem. I had the eggs benedict with kalua pork with tater tots and it was incredibly filling and delicious. I was so full afterwards that it was hard finishing the tropical stuffed french toast which was shared with my table (group of 4). I will be making this a staple stop when I undoubtedly return to Hawaii.

A must come if you’re in the area. Portions are HUGE and the food is nothing short of phenomenal. The huge variety of sweet and savory options was just what we needed after a long hike. The service was superb and the vibes were just right. We sat outside in the courtyard with umbrellas shading us. One of the best Loco Moco I’ve ever had. 1000000000/10

I’m visiting from Louisiana and my dining experience at Sweet E’s was exceptional!!! The food and service were awesome! Every staff member was helpful and friendly. Get there early because you’ll want a good parking space… don’t wait..you won’t be disappointed. I look forward to eating there again on my next trip to Hawaii.🥰

I have never been to a friendlier restaurant! Everyone treats each other like family. It was such a great vibe. The food was perfect too. Definitely recommend getting the blueberry French toast- so good it doesn’t even need syrup. Loved loved loved this find 🙌🏼

The food came out fast every single time, and everything on the menu is incredible. My family and I were visiting Oahu for a week, and we ended up coming here every single day. We ordered something different each time, and every dish was amazing. We came to Hawaii because we had multiple deaths in our family and we wanted to do something to kind of cheer up and the waitstaff definitely contributed to making this a fun trip. You can literally truly taste the love and care in their food. If I could give Sweet E’s 10 out of 5 stars, I absolutely would. It’s that good! 🌺💙

At the corner of Kapahulu and Kaimuki ave is this amazing breakfast spot. Known for their French toast and egg benedicts, just about everything tastes amazing and the staff is great as well. They are always busy but if you have the patience or go later in the morning, you wont be disappointed. My absolute favorite; hands down, are the hash browns!!! The best by far!!

Has all the home town diner vibes. Clean establishment and friendly staff!! You have to put your name down on a sheet of paper and they call out whoever is next on the list. It does have a small parking lot but I ended up parking across the street in a neighborhood. I was extremely impressed with the banana French toast. It had a what I think was a banana cream cheese filing and it was like a next level banana foster. Loved it!! Has towns were crispy and delicious. My omelette was packed.

Came based on the reviews and not disappointed. The stuffed banana cream cheese French toast was the best! Super fast service, great music, and breakfast for 2 was so reasonably priced. Will def be back.

Great little restaurant serving up unique dishes. Service was great, prices are a little steep but not out of the norm for Hawaii. It’s not easy to walk to from Waikiki but if you’re looking for what seems to be a popular local restaurant, this is the place. Recommend reservations especially for dinner.

Unfortunately the experience here left more to be desired. We had been seated at the bar with the bar tender as our server. This ordinarily wouldn’t be a problem but they sat some of their usual customers next to us with their dog. I love animals but I don’t like them being inside making a fuss while I’m eating. It’s unsanitary and unnecessary when they have patio dining. We had been sitting there for a bit waiting and instead of addressing us first the bar tender started up a conversation & took their drink and food orders before bothering to check in with us. During our wait they apparently have a very obnoxious tradition of adding money to a jar and shouting “adding to the beer fund” where all of the cooks and servers in the back start yelling and shouting. Not something I would expect at a breakfast spot and it definitely left a sour impression when they had to do it a second time just to get a video and were even more obnoxious. While the food is plated very well it’s honestly nothing to write home about. The flavor profile is lackluster & the portion size to pricing needs improvement. I get more of both for less money at other breakfast spots like Moena or island brew in Hawaii Kai. Not sure I will bother wasting my money here again to give it a second chance.

This was a huge surprise for breakfast! Award winning too! They have traditional sandwiches and along with Hawaiian inspired dishes. This is a great place, coffee was good, but definitely better options if you want better coffee! Highly recommend this after the koko Head hike!

Some of the best Brunch money can buy, here or anywhere. The savory dishes like Koko Moco and the Ohayou Eggs were huge hits at our table but the Daily special Pickle Plate was the favorite. The sweet dishes totally stole the show tho. The Daily special Mango Buschetta was a near perfect bite. Everyone raved about the French toast and the pancakes. Absolutely amazing options. This place is worth the trip! And you'll want to come back again and again! Enjoy!

Service - 5 stars Elizabeth was great - when we gave feedback she took it well. Coming from Singapore and LA, our standards for Korean and Japanese food are high. Pineapple lemongrass cooler - 3 stars Couldn't quite taste the lemongrass. Bibimbap - 3 stars Loved the use of the cast iron skillet to mimic the crispy burnt rice you get from a dolsot. The gochujang tastes authentic but the dish was a bit one-dimensional. I think it needed more sesame oil and garlic. Ramen - 1 star Would give this a miss. It was way too salty and after diluting it down the broth just tasted like the American cheese. The meats were definitely too salty too. Noodles were so-so.

I’ve been to the other locations in Japan, but this was my first time eating here in Honolulu. The food was amazing, with very unique recipes and incredible flavors. The matcha was way too sweet for me. I don’t know if they added a lot of sugar to the drink or if the powder is mixed like that, but matcha isn’t supposed to taste that sweet. The staff was friendly; however, Pat, the manager, was a bit creepy. I wouldn’t leave your wife or daughter alone with that guy. 🤣

Food was memorable! Highly Recommend!! Food was 5 stars, however due to the atmosphere and wait times, had to give the place a 4. Food is amazing, which is why I'm sure its packed to the gills, but at the same time is a bit much. While we waited, we had to stand on the sidewalk in the sun. I ordered the miso smoked pork omelette with a side of has brown. Wifey ordered Fish and Eggs skillet with a biscuit on the side. Lets say we were both eating off each other's plate because both dishes were amazing! Definitely left a lasting impression. Sad we are not locals here. Highly recommend getting on wait list early, or making plans in advance to eat here. Wait time can be long. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Due to the high traffic of people eating here, its noticeable that the staff is definitely spread thin, and it can be hard to get their attention. Despite how busy it was, all the staff were hyper focused, and carried a positive attitude. Very impressive to see.

Our server, Oz, was exceptional; he checked on us frequently and ensured our needs were met with a warm smile. Tucked away off Ena road, Aloha Kitchen is a must stop place for breakfast and brunch. We decided to get there before it opened and to our surprise there was already a line forming. They have a sign in sheet so if you do choose to get there early, put your name down and once they open they will call your name out. We had the pleasure of being greeted by one of their workers who just oozes energy and hospitality. Immediately made us feel welcome and cracked jokes to lighten the mood while the rest waited outside for their seats. Although the interior is small and cozy, it does hold quite a bit of tables and seats. Ordered the souffle pancakes which were super light and fluffy covered with coconut cream sauce and topped with crushed macadamia nuts. The cream sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to it which was not overbearing sweet where you couldn't finish it. Also ordered the eggs Benedict which was savory and well seasoned. The eggs were poached perfectly and was not over salted. Definitely recommend stopping by here for one of your morning breakfast/ brunch when you visit the islands in the Waikiki area. Parking is very limited but if you're lucky, there are places to find parking on the street nearby.

We came here maybe 4 or 5 times while in Hawaii. The soufflé pancakes are amazing! My husband and I got the fruit option and the coconut. I loved the fruit (has pineapple, melons, strawberries). Their loco moco is really good too! I usually get the gravy on the side. For iced coffee, I’d definitely recommend the vanilla iced latte. My husband loves their fresh orange juice. Some reviews have said that the staff are rude. However, I disagree. They are friendly if you are friendly back. “If you give aloha, you will get aloha back”. The wait can be a bit long, but in my opinion it is worth it. Although I do not recommend this place for big groups. It’s a smaller space and they don’t have many big tables available.

Just WOW!!! That's about all there is to say about this place. Food is amazing, and the atmosphere is out of this world 😎Place only seats about 15-20 people, so unless you are one of the 1st to get there expect a wait. It seems the turnaround/wait isn't bad at all. There were about 4 groups ahead of us and we waited about 15 minutes, not bad in my opinion. I had the Kalua Loco, and my wife had the lobster benedict. Had to share the enormous souffle pancake.

We took our daughter for her birthday for breakfast and it was amazing. You have to put your name on an wait list and wait up to 10 minutes, but it SO WORTH IT! the food is AMAZING and Instagram- able 🫠😋🥰🤙🏽🌺🌊⛰️💙

The food here is so delicious! The souffle pancakes were huge and the best souffle pancakes I've ever tasted. It is the same size as your plate and could definitely be shared between 2 people. The coffee here was surprisingly good as well. It can get really busy here though especially since the restaurant is small. You'll want to get here early if coming on the weekend or just order takeout.

I came for the French toast within an hour before closing, so the team was all cleaning the dining room. They were all very nice. The French Toast didn't disappoint, and the potatoes were on point, I didn't think the steak omelet was as good as the other food mentioned. I'm not a fan of eating on paper plates and plastic cutlery. The portions are enormous! I would visit this place again.

We stopped by after landing in Honolulu. My kids always want pancakes. I was so excited about the macadamia nut chocolate chip banana pancakes. 🥞 I also got a omelette. I was a little disappointed. The omlette seemed runny and I think they used canned mushrooms for it. Pancakes were a win and the portions are HUGE. We took some to our condo and the kids lived eating on them. Banana pancakes have actual slices of banana in them which I love but my kids wanted it mixed in. The pancakes were fluffy and yummy. I like a bit more buttermilk but I am kind of picky about my pancakes. 10/10 recommend for portions size and fast service.

With this being my first time in Koa Pancake House, it's bustling and very busy, especially in the morning, like it's just about nearly a full House in here with how many people were seated. Waited a bit to take pictures inside, but I was also very hangry (hungry and angry) because I didn't eat first thing in the morning and that was my fault. So my fiance suggested we go Koa Pancake house since it's near my parents place and we were staying over to help them out. I love the food here, cuz obviously you get to choose from breakfast styled plates, and like most foods, it's delicious, it's just a hawaiian styled resturaunt. :) But I would definitely come here again for breakfast. Oh yes! And they have outdoor seating as well! Along with A/C in the building. My only gripe, is that I don't like the paper plates. Even though, I understand that saves on washing plates and creates more trash to just easily throw out for in and out service of a quick bite to eat and leave. But that's minor comparatively. The service here is also nice and quick and I do suggest this as a place to stop by and eat. Especially if you were like me and craving for a breakfast meal. :3 Please come try the local Koa pancake house! 🥞 🏠

Stay away from this place unless you truly have no other options but it is not worth your money ‼️ We were seated by a very nice waiter who took our order, and that was it! We couldn’t find him afterward, and if you try asking any other waiter for help, they won’t respond because they’re “not assigned” to your area. Imagine this: I needed a fork and knife. I saw some near the kitchen and noticed a waiter standing right next to them. I politely asked if he could hand them to me, and he said, “No, I can’t. You need to ask your waiter for that.” I waited another 5 minutes, but our waiter still didn’t show up. Eventually, I went and grabbed them myself from the other side. Our order was sitting right in front of us (we were seated near the kitchen) for at least 10 minutes before anyone brought it over only after I pointed it out to the waiter! The burger was tiny, and the service was horrible. On top of that, I ordered my steak well-done, but because the restaurant was busy, they served it medium-well instead. That was a Monday, I can’t imagine how the weekend would look like. Never going back again‼️

Stopped in to pick up a few sweet treats and loved them! They have a fantastic array of baked goods, from your standard donuts and muffins to croissants and danishes. However, some unique options I recommend trying are the mochi donuts and my personal favorite, the coco puff. It’s a puffed pastry with cold chocolate cream in the middle and your choice of topping ex coconut, green tea, etc. While I didn’t take advantage of the diner side, there is a counter where you can sit and eat a regular meal. There’s plenty of parking outside as well.

Fantastic staffing and amazing food in terms of quality and price! They have a funny table back in the bakery kitchen that is so clean and very fun to experience. All of this made us come here twice during our 4-day trip!

This is the original location that started it all. ATMOSPHERE: Parking is pretty plentiful. It's a simple and bustling bakery along with a long dining counter which seats about 20 or so. There was a line of about 10 people ahead of us. Turn over was pretty quick as we sat in about 20 minutes. Reservations are not taken. You get an up front seat of the food being made. MENU: It's a mix of local and American diner fare, and of course the bakery with all kinds of things. FOOD: Butter Rolls House rolls these days are a rarity! Sinfully buttery and moist, the included sweet dipping sauce isn't necessary. Hamburger Steak While it's a very mainstream dish, the highlight was the taste of the homemade patty. It had a nice crust to it and had a great grilled flavor. The gravy was light brown and mildly salty. The mac salad was very good. The entrees normally come with sides of a butter roll and rice, or you can opt for all rice which I did. Luckily my friend did not eat all of her butter roll so I got to try some and it was delish! Hotcake The single piece was big, delicious and creamy. SERVICE: The ladies who work behind the counter all multi-task - cook/serve/bus/cashier and all were so friendly, patient, professional, and helped each other out. OVERALL: Good food, average prices, friendly service.

Great bakery and diner, got the loco moco, and the macnut waffle, both were really delicious. The loco moco had that Smokey taste from the grill, and the macnut waffle was light and crispy, the butter that came with it was very flavorful. Also ordered some pastries. Service was good, the place gives you an old diner.

I love this bakery! Lots of parking, service was a promt, this place can get busy, they have overflow tables in the kitchen! So you can actually see all the desserts being made! Pretty cool! Ambiance is slightly on the noisy side but still able to hold conversation! I've been here several times and the food is nothing short of amazing! Ordered: Butter rolls - 10/10 perfectly grilled nice and crispy! So good I crave it. MacNut Waffles with fruit - 10/10 perfectly cooked, nice and crispy has a nice bite! No need for syrup cause the macadamia sweetens it naturally! Fruit and whip cream were a nice added touch ! Steak and eggs 10/10 cooked to perfection! I opted to upgrade from regular rice to fried rice; fried rice was great! Cheese burger deluxe 10/10 so satisfying the patty was cooked ourfectoy and had a nice char to it, It was so good I didn't take a picture! Buns were nice and toasted well, their potato crisps are nice circle potatoe with a nice width very different but paired well with the burger! Perfectly seasoned too! Loco moco with egg 10/10 the gravy was bomb, about of rice was great! Nice char burger meat, perfectly seasoned ! Perfect plate, and would definitely order again! Coffee - 10/10 free refills, great bold coffee! Desserts: Cream puff, coco puff, matcha puff - 10/10 they are known for it! It's perfect and not as sweet as other places! All desserts are made in house, which I appreciate it! Quality food and desserts! Highly recommend this place!

It was okay. We bought quite a bit of stuff and everything was just meh. I bought some brioche dinner rolls and some brioche hamburger buns. Both of those are okay. Nothing spectacular. Also ordered a blueberry cream cheese cake. We shared that with a bunch of different people and they all felt that it was subpar. Also ordered a coconut lemon cake which was also just okay. Nothing spectacular. We had some oatmeal raisin chocolate cookies. Those were just okay as well. They had these cream puffs which were quite delicious. I would get those again. Or maybe try some other things.

ICONIC breakfast spot 💎 omg, YES. Café Kaila is the breakfast/brunch spot that never misses. I built my own omelet with gluten-free bread. No crumbs remained. Their homemade salsa? Addicting. My friend always gets the spinach breakfast wrap and swears by it. Heads up that there’s usually a wait because it’s so popular, but the line moves quick and it’s 100% worth it.

I stumbled upon Cafe Kaila while browsing Google Maps, and let me tell you, it was an absolute gem! I arrived a bit early, only to find it wasn’t open yet, but there was already a line of locals waiting outside. That’s when I knew I was in for something special. I ordered the veggie omelet, and oh my goodness, it was hands-down the best omelet I’ve ever had! The eggs were perfectly fluffy, and the vegetables inside were incredibly fresh and juicy, bursting with flavor in every bite. It was beyond my expectations—honestly, are Hawaiian eggs just naturally tastier? The whole experience was a delight, and I can see why locals line up for this place. Cafe Kaila is a must-visit for anyone craving an unforgettable breakfast!

Local spot with incredible breakfast, excellent service and super friendly staff. We didn’t wait, but expect long lines later in the day (arrived at 9am on a Monday) The coffee is delicious. Must order. Free refills. Special cornbread waffle with chicken is fantastic. Strawberry honey butter! Great crunch on chicken and crumb on the cornbread waffle. Eggs benny with Kalua pork super juicy and flavourful. Well-prepared potatoes as well. Pumpkin crunch French toast also delicious. Super friendly, helpful and attentative staff. 5/5

breakfast for lunch?… yes please! If you’re craving sweet and savory Cafe Kaila is the place to go. They had a croissant french toast that was divine! and the bacon was just the right crunch! So delicious. Service super friendly and food was quick. Parking always tight stalls at market city but since it was a sunday there wasn’t a long wait. We also went around 2:00 so it wasn’t too busy.

We arrived about 9:09am on Saturday, you sign up on the sheet outside the door. We left at 9:59am! Delicious. I’m so into the sweet service without fluff. Must hit up spot if you love breakfast. For visitors and locals alike. Took me 8 years to finally get here haha, good things come to those who wait, well worth the wait and it’s a bummer the line turned me off for so long. Parking can be annoying but again, worth it.

Hidden local dive. 10/10 for everything and worth the drive down from the east side. Husband ranted and raved about how thick his pork belly was on his eggs Benedict and practically licked his plate clean. I got the classic pancake breakfast so I could gauge the quality of the pancakes (hallmark of any breakfast place) and was impressed on the flavor and comfort of the meal. Will be coming back with the kids and the PRICE can’t be beat.

Oh my gosh! So dang good! Portions were great, flavor was incredible, everything was perfect. They had so many options and everything we ordered was absolutely 10/10! We would come here again and again. The wait was a little long when we went (Sunday after church). But it was WELL worth the wait 😍 Thanks for an amazing brunch!

Good! But I don't think it's worth waiting in line for. We went at 7:30, so thankfully no wait. Line started forming around 8am. Food came out on the slower side. Ube pancakes were fluffy. Drenched in ube sauce, so only order it if you're a fan of ube.

A local referred me to this spot. Went on a Friday at 12:30pm. Few people waiting ahead. Put my name on waiting list and was called right away. Ordered the prime rib loco moco and it was worth every penny. It was a good sized portion; tender, cooked to perfection (medium rare), and tasty. There were so many other things on the menu I wanted to try. I can see why it's a locals favorite. Edit: Came back the next day. Arrived at 10:50 and put my name on waiting list, advised that it could be an hour wait (which it was). Ordered the prime rib skillet and the Aloha Ube French toast. This place is hands down one of the best values for food. Not only is the food awesome, the portions were generous. They did not skimp on the meat in the skillet and look at that French toast plate (I'm a pretty big eater and was fighting to finish the French toast). Bookmark this spot! You won't be disappointed.

We went there on Friday about 1020a. This is where the old likelike drive inn is. There is a moderate limit of free parking with surrounding street parking. Atmosphere is definitely more modern and bright. We had the ube pancakes, kalbi & kim chee fried rice, and the big breakfast. We tried the taro latte and guava ice tea. The food and drinks were really tasty. We would eat here again

Small local cafe. Highly recommend making a reservation if you know what time you want to go. Very little parking in the plaza, but there is street parking available and Walmart is across the street. DELICIOUS food, service can be slow when crowded. Great portion sizes and I’ll definitely be back. Worth the 5-10 wait we had with no reservations

I heard a lot about Eggs ‘n Things so I had to give it a try! Upon arriving, I expected there would be a wait as we had gotten there around 8am. Overall wait was around 30ish minutes. Upon entering we were greeted and drinks were served pretty quickly. We then met our server and put our order in. I had gotten the Plantation Pork Chop which is pretty much a piece of Ham. It tasted nothing like a pork chop unfortunately. My girlfriend had gotten the Eggs Benedict which when eating, there were eggshells in it. I’m not sure why but I expected a bit more, of an experience, but it fell a bit short unfortunately.

You can taste the consistency in every forkful—fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, and bacon that hits just the right crunch. Don’t expect quiet or elegance—expect movement, laughter, and the hum of travelers grabbing breakfast before heading to the beach. And honestly, that’s what makes it special: a slice of Waikiki life, lived in flip-flops and sunshine.

Stopped by Eggs ‘n Things for breakfast, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The food came out hot and fresh — everything tasted just right. A big shout-out to Kent and Giselle, our table servers, friendly, professional, and made sure we were well taken care of the whole time. Excellent hospitality and great service all around. There was a short wait, but it moved quickly thanks to their iPad check-in system — just make sure you sign in on the iPad when you arrive so you’re in line to be seated. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area and want a hearty, satisfying breakfast! ☕🍳🥞

The food was fantastic. I had the eggs Benedict with the crab cakes and my wife had the mochi waffles. Both were very delicious. They have a variety of fresh juices as well. Definitely worth trying those. I'd highly recommend checking in on Yelp before going to get a place in line. There's always a wait.

🌸5 on 5🌸 The breakfast here was absolutely delicious! My favorite part was the coconut syrup with the pancakes it added such a unique and tropical flavor. The scrambled eggs were very tasty too, with a subtle coconut undertone that made them even more enjoyable. I especially loved the French toast; it had a soft, cinnamon flavor that was just perfect. I highly recommend this place to tourists! If you can, try to grab a seat by the windows overlooking the beach it makes the whole experience even more special.🌺

30 minute wait, food was very good, views of the beach while we ate. They were busy, I didn't like the '1 free refill' on some drinks, so we had water as well. Too hot on the beach to not hydrate properly. I never did get a refill on the mango unsweet tea, but did get one for the water even though I asked the waitress which came by with the pitcher of water. The Moco Loco was very good, good sized portioning. This restaurant does have restrooms, unlike the McDonalds and the permanent food trucks like Blue Ocean, which told us to go to 'that hotel right there', which by the way used room key cards to access the lobby restrooms.

Local breakfast spot on the main strip of Waikiki and beach front view. I recommend getting here early; I was sat within 5 minutes at 7 am, but the line outside quickly grew within 15-30 mins. The food was very delicious, homestyle breakfast. My family got the blueberry crepes and kids plate. The crepes were filled with blueberries and had tasty burnt ends, make sure to ask for the macadamia syrup. I got the furikake nut crusted ahi rare with rice and sunny side up eggs and it was very good. I plan om returning one more time on my vacation. Skip Cheeseburger In Paradise and come here!

Do not sleep on Basalt. We came for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. All of the food was amazing but you have to try the charcoal pancakes. They were unlike anything we've ever had before. Fluffy, moist, and absolutely delicious.

An instant Waikiki staple. Great atmosphere to enjoy fantastic food from chef Lance Kosaka. Light music that doesn’t disturb conversation. They have a wide variety of drinks, but I suggest the mocktail “Spa Day” and spike it with Hendrick’s Gin. Nat will take good care of ya. Lance’s spin on a classic Loco Moco will hit every savory gland you have! Sharing this dish and the Charcoal pancakes are a perfect combination to satisfy your sweet needs. ☯️

I haven't written a review in so long, but OMFG my dinner was delicious. 😭 I had the salmon ochazuke and it was the best thing I've eaten in a restaurant in as long as I can remember. My husband had the ribs with guava BBQ sauce and they were delicious too, but I'll be dreaming of the ochazuke until I can return one day.

I had a great experience here with my parents who are picky eaters. My shakshouka was very tasty, and not too heavy, it was a perfect start to my day. My parents ordered the breakfast style prime rib, and were very happy with the flavors. Definitely coming back for the ambiance, and for those charcoal pancakes!

Food okay.Not outstanding just okay. Service naturally okay with an automatic 18% added option to the bill you can see why. They were limiting diners to those that were buying wine upon our visit due to staff shortages. Prices expensive as is everywhere but noodle restaurants in Honolulu. Wouldn't return to restaurant or indeed Honolulu ever again as prices everywhere for food and service are 100% higher than Australia and 200% higher than Europe.

Had Prime Rib, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Their fries are great too. Wasn't crowded, mid week dinner. POG Mousse for dessert was really a topper for the gustatory evening . An amazing dessert experience! Highly recommended . Only ever knew of chocolate mousse before. Who knew there are deserts like this out there??!!

Wasn’t expecting this restaurant to be in a sort of food court. Almost decided not to go because it’s not the most appealing of locations but gave it a shot. The food was absolutely fine and the service on point. The atmosphere is a bit sterile which is the only downside.

Nice little place to enjoy breakfast food at lunch time. It's not listed as brunch, but it's brunch. Small little place. Good service. Food is good. We got: Coffee oreo scone- it's really good, although we didn't taste the oreo. Maybe it wasn't supposed to be oreo cookies? Cinnamon pancakes- good but could have more flavor. They are huge, about 11 inches or 12. Eggs Benedict- were really good! Cappuccino- not good, was weak. Coffee- was off, like the cream wasn't good to mix with it. Something like that. You do get 1 free coffee refill. Would go back and get the same scone, eggs benedict, and maybe try something else sweet.

Cute spot to grab a bite. We popped in for breakfast. Portions are on the smaller side for the price you pay but overall food was delicious, service and location were great. Would definitely revisit if in the area again.

The Crab Benedict with extra hollandaise is so ono. Choke moist crab and aloha in every bite. Perfectly poached eggs without clear egg whites running out with the yolk. Grilled in butter bread on the bottom. Mahalo nui loa! Here’s a photo of half of my ono grindz.

I ordered the Kalua pig Eggs Benedict with a side of potatos. to go I also ordered A single stack of the Lilikoi Pancake drizzled with cream cheese. which is the Pancake special of the month (soo good!) and my mother ordered ro drink Chai tea latte (cold). and she ate eggs with pineapple chicken/pork sausage mix with a side of potatoes and a Pancake. for my daughter she had to drink Honey Lavender matcha latte (cold). to eat she had avo toast.

Cozy little restaurant right on the water. Had the burger and it was fantastic, had the honey lilikoi milkshake as well and it was delicious. Would 1000% eat here again when I'm in the area. Price vs size/quality of the food was spot on.

Nice place with excellent food! You should trust the waitress when she tells you the regular pancakes are huge - because they are!! Small plate would have been enough. Excellent place to start off Koko Head Trail.

Eggs Benedict was delish! There was a very thick piece of very good ham on a huge toasted garlic bread. You can order potatoes with this, but honestly I would not have been able to eat it all bc the Benedict was enough. Hubby had avocado toast and loved every bite. Again, huge toasted garlic bread. Very filling! Passion-orange-guava juice was perfection, especially after hiking up to the Lighthouse. I noticed many others who were eating came after the sunrise walk up Makapu'u Point Lighthouse. Coffee was top notch! Seems like to perfect eat to start your day AFTER early rising for hiking Koko Head as well!

I visited again during this trip, remembering how much I enjoyed the food and atmosphere a few years ago. The food was still delicious and the ambiance was great, but my experience was completely ruined by the behavior of one of the servers. I asked if they could empty the jar I had my lemonade in because I wanted to take it with me, but the server reacted with obvious annoyance, shaking their head in frustration. After emptying the jar, they slammed it down on the table with a loud bang and walked away. I’ve never encountered such rude service before.

I dropped off my car to be detailed at a shop on Kawaiahao Street and was “killing” time before heading to Ward Theater to see a movie at noon. I walked through Ward Centre and the shops across the street looking for a place to have a small meal. My first two choices weren’t open yet and I thought to myself, “Why not go to Scratch?” I hadn’t been to Scratch since they moved out of Chinatown (a long time ago). I was seated near the rear of the restaurant and ordered coffee while perusing the menu. I vacillated between what I’d ordered before (shrimp and grits) and something new. I ended up choosing the waffle with a side of bacon. I asked my server to have the waffle extra crispy as I do not like a soggy waffle. My food arrived in short order … My waffle came with whipped butter, blueberries and strawberries on top and a small container of maple syrup on the side. The bacon arrived in a separate metal tray. Unfortunately, the waffle wasn’t as crispy as I’d hoped for … The color was indicative of a crispy waffle, but it was normal. The reason I ask for an extra crispy waffle is that once you spread the butter and apply syrup, the waffle turns soggy quickly, like cereal once milk is added. It’s a personal preference; I think the waffle would be fine for most diners. The bacon was fine … Crisp but not overdone (which would have been fine with me). I enjoyed my meal and would return to try other dishes. Service was fine too.

The staff were all amazing. So helpful and kind I would have given 5 stars. The food is pretty average, and thus very overpriced. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and French toast. French toast was great, eggs Benedict very meh.

Had a great time during my visit for brunch. My second time visiting and the food, service and experience was quality. The upside down strawberry pineapple mimosa was sooo good and a highlight of the meal! I appreciated the attentive service, our meal came out quick, and the playlist was top notch! Also shout out to the men in the kitchen working hard and whipping up delicious brunch meals. Good cooks who care about the food they put out deserve to be acknowledged and appreciated. Thank you 👍🏾

I went there for brunch and the food was horrible. I spend like $70 but the food was not worth it. I ordered their waffles and berries, it was the most simple tasting waffle ever. The berries on top were also like not enough in my opinion. Street tacos with shredded beef had so little taste. Calentado was below average. I don’t recommend going there and it is also very pricey.

Open kitchen in the shopping mall, free parking in the Nordstrom rack shopping garage, easy access to. Food are really tasty and not over priced. Service is great! There are brunch, entrees, chefs specials menu. Really nice atmosphere for self lunch or parties.

On this night this upscale restaurant was the perfect place to end our evening. After touring the north shore area sightseeing and sampling food trucks, we wanted a casual and relaxing sit down meal. We got seated immediately by the hostess and the waiter was very patience, allowing the kids more time to decide. The menu is simple and consisted of your favorite food but they took each up a notch. We were a little hesitant because the prices were slightly more than what we wanted to spend but when the kids got their plates we were all amazed by the amount of food they served. From the Apple bacon hamburger to my fish and chips, or the fried chicken dinner to the rib eyes steak meal, the price was justifiably and now not an issue at all. And each dish was perfectly prepared and delicious. They don’t have a kid’s menu but their list of appetizers had enough small plates, like Mac and Cheese or the chicken nuggets that should satisfy the kids and your budget. Otherwise, you can split the dinners to keep the cost and the leftovers to a minimum. Service was attentive throughout the meal. Highly recommended.

Given that I'm from Texas, I'm not used to birds flying around restaurants and attempting to eat off my plate, so that made me uncomfortable. The food was overly priced but expected since it's Hawaii. The avocado toast and acai bowl were great. The rest of the food we got was decent. They have great views and good customer service.

Paco was our server and he was awesome. He was very accommodating with our nut allergies and had great recommendations on what we can eat to avoid cross contamination. We had the fish chips which was great, not oily, perfect about of batter. Chicken taco was great, meat was flavorful and juicy. View of the restaurant is stunning over looking Waikiki beach. I for the first time had coconut martini and it did not disappoint. This combination can be dangerous.Restaurant is clean. While enjoy our late lunch we heard Sirens alerting us of a tsunami, of course we all panicked and Paco did a great job calming all the guest and ensuring everything will be fine and to enjoy lunch. Overall great experience here.

Great concept but missed the execution. My seafood coconut chowder had excellent flavors but everything was slightly below temperature. My husband ordered the fish special and his meal was warm, not hot. But again, the flavors were fantastic. Not sure whether the servers or the kitchen are the cause, but I’m leaning toward the kitchen. Pouring hot coconut broth over cold fish makes everything just warm. Perhaps it’s me but I like my hot food to be hot!

To check off another top Yelp ranked restaurant, my wife and I visited Hula Grill in Waikiki for lunch, and it was an absolute delight! Perched on the second floor above Duke’s Waikiki, the restaurant radiates true Hawaiian charm with live music and a lively bar that creates a perfect balance of relaxed and vibrant energy. We were seated near the balcony, soaking in a stunning view of Waikiki Beach with a refreshing ocean breeze. The atmosphere was everything you’d hope for in an island dining experience—laid-back, welcoming, and full of aloha spirit. The food was the highlight of our visit. We tried the Korean spicy fried chicken, and it was hands-down the best we’ve ever tasted—sorry, LA Koreatown, this one’s unbeatable! Crispy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of spice, it was a dish we’ll be craving for weeks. When the staff learned it was our anniversary, they surprised us with a complimentary slice of their famous hula cake, a rich and tropical dessert that was the perfect finishing touch. That thoughtful gesture made the meal even more special. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home without ever being overbearing. We heard evenings can get crowded since Hula Grill is one of Waikiki’s most popular spots, but our lunchtime visit was just right—bustling yet comfortable. The entire experience made our anniversary truly memorable, and we’re already excited to return. Huge thanks to Hula Grill for such an unforgettable day!

We came here for breakfast. Got a great seat with great views. Service was very attentive and friendly. The food was totally delicious. I highly recommend making a reservation. We went around 8:45am on a Monday (had a reservation at 9:00am) and it was already starting to get very busy.

Special place in my heart for the Hula Grill! The manager, Evan, truly stood out! He was not only incredibly kind and welcoming, but also very attentive throughout my visit. It’s rare to see a manager so present and involved in creating a great experience for guests. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. Bailey, the server, was just as amazing, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout the entire meal. I’m so grateful for the care and hospitality from both Evan and Bailey. Their kindness made my time at Hula Grill truly memorable. The food was outstanding and so fresh, truly one of the best Caesar salads I’ve ever had! The view is amazing and They have live music, what else can you ask for? I’m already looking forward to coming back. Thank you again!

The food was shocking. I had a salad which hardly had any taste. We also got a chicken meal which was half burnt and very dry. Didn’t end up finishing the food. Better off going to dukes for better food and atmosphere!

The strawberry and cream pancakes were super tasty. The strawberries in Hawaii are just better than anywhere else! Elaine was our server and she was absolutely delightful! Great little place for good food. Love the all day breakfast menu!

We went here for our anniversary breakfast. My wife loves the mochi pancakes here. You get plenty of food for the price. The coffee was good here also for brewed.

No waiting and they had a breakfast bar set up too. I chose to eat off the menu and had a great breakfast anyways. Friendly waitress and nice easy atmosphere!

My son-in-law saw a man vs food episode with 14" pancakes and really wanted to try to eat one. When we got there we were told that you could only get them for $42 for 2 pancakes with 90 minutes to eat all for challenge. He said he just wanted 1 and was told they only had regular size pancakes. It was cool that food was delivered by robot. Kids did not like the taste of the chicken.

Wanted to try here for breakfast as I seen the pancake challenge in the menu. I would've assumed the Pancakes were good. To be Honest? It's okay. Nothing extraordinary or exciting, just Pancakes. No distinctive flavor, nothing different from a regular diner. Everything we ordered, seem liked regular diner food, just with a slightly higher price tag. If you don't want to walk by near by establishments and want to stay in the hotel. I guess this place could work, if you're looking for a bite to eat. Just know you'll be paying for convenience.

Calamari appetizer didn’t come before our meal and honestly I wish we hadn’t gotten it. Not very tasty, but very expensive. Thai salad was good. Loco Moco was ok. Pizza not good.

Fun sporty atmosphere with football helmets, baseball signs, wheeties boxes on the walls. A sign posted out front stating they will take your order outside, pay inside at the booth, get your table, then they bring out your food. I ordered the seafood special omelet with hash browns. Inside the omelet was crab, shrimp, onions, mushrooms and cheese. 1 word, SCRUMPTIOUS! My husband ordered the Kahlua pork eggs Benedict with fried rice. His egg yolks were not soft, but that was the ONLY drawback. He thoroughly enjoyed his also. We both got water and he got root beer. Total was $54 & change. Not sure what Guy Fieri ordered here but we're glad we ordered what we did. There was a wait to get in, but the wait did not take more than 15 minutes, and well worth it!!!

Went for breakfast and came out full and well satisfied. Food is super tasty. I would recommend getting a short stack of pancakes (plain , banana or with nuts, I went with banana ) and order the special Mac nut sauce to go on it. Also try the beef kalbi. Be prepared with your order before you enter the restaurant . You place your order at the door and then go to you table.

Pretty disappointed in this... we had a table of 6; 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 children. They charged gratuity without saying anything and it does not show up at the checkout. If your paying by card it automatically prompts you for percentage gratuity to add. So I had no idea that we were already charged gratuity. I know prices are out of control here but this seemed very deceptive. So, BE WARNED, if you have a group of 6 or more, gratuity is already included! Otherwise, the pancakes were 8 out of 10, have had better here, but they were still good. The portions are modest for the price ($19 for 2 eggs over easy hashbrowns and 4 slices of spam about 1/3 a can). The service is not that great, they acted put out by asking for creamer for $4 coffees and do not expect someone to refill it because it's very unlikely to happen. There is a sign that asks for grace as they are short staffed, but the sign was the shiny permanent type glued to the wall. I don't know how they could be short staffed with making 40% gratuity. Be warned!

The food was good. The banana pancakes were absolutely amazing. However, there is absolutely no reason they should be $22 for just two cakes. I experienced the amazing cakes, but will never pay that price for them again. My breakfast cost me $42 for an omelet and the cakes.

8/2025 Over the years they've moved to a slightly bigger place. I really give them credit for the way they move customers and the long lines through quickly. My utmost compliments as every restaurant should take notes. Oh, and the food? Broke da mouth! Onolicious! 😉🤙✌️

Second breakfast on Sunday morning, we made room in our tummies to share a short stack of their famous Macadamia nut topped pancakes. So worth the extra calories on our circle island drive. So efficient with taking orders as we’re waiting in line. Minimal wait to be seated, then the food came out quickly and fresh made. Super friendly staff and excellent service. Those pancakes are things one dreams of ✨🌙 ✨

If I could eat here every day I would. The whipped cream is delicious I want it on everything. The garden patio is adorable, the entire dining room is beautiful. I love the lacey hash browns and you cannot go wrong ordering anything on their menu.

Great experience! Very attentive servers/staff. Very cute small place. Food was sooo good. We got the classic omelet(mushrooms, caramelized onion, bacon, potato, gruyere cheese). The fresh strawberry soufflé pancakes(so fluffy and light) and the French onion soup. Probably the best French onion soup I’ve ever had. As per other reviews, yes it’s a bit pricey but that’s the reality of being in paradise. You should expect higher prices on vacation than when you’re at home🤷🏻‍♀️ They’re also organic and use only non gmo ingredients. Highly recommend this place👍🏼😁

Absolutely the most adorable place I’ve ever dined. The people here tend to you like your family and make the entire experience so enjoyable. Every dish belongs in a magazine, it’s that beautiful! All of the flavors are so delicately crafted together and make you smile with every bite. The absolute best foodie experience we had on the island!

Delicious coffee and fantastic crepes (both the vegetarian and the chicken ones). Portions weren’t huge, but everything was super tasty! Cozy atmosphere and excellent service.

The service here shines more than the food if I'm to be honest. I've been here with friends about 4 times and every time we're always greeted with a smile. The servers are always attentive to coffee refills and water. I personally don't think the food is even close to the best I've had, but I still like this place. I had the salmon Benedict, French onion soup, and coffee. The French onion soup was just okay. I know this is hard to believe, but a commercial steak house has a better French onion soup. It wasn't bad or anything. It was just okay. The salmon benedict was also just okay. I've had better at Mom and Pop shops.

Found this place via Google Maps. Lilikoi pancakes and poppyseed muffins were great. I had the #2 breakfast and the biscuit, eggs and bacon were just right. Covered seating outdoors by the sidewalk was pleasant, although view of street and parked vehicles nothing to shout about. Metered parking on the street. (And someone was patrolling the street checking meters and writing tickets while we were at the restaurant. ) Note, nothing available for strictly vegan diets. No substitutions/ customizations on the omelets. Service was very nice and helpful, prompt.

Wonderful experience here! The wait was a bit long but WORTH IT! We met the owner and he suggested we order the Lilikoi pancakes w/ the mango sauce on the side! What a great choice! We were able to try both delicious sauces with the mango being the winner and our favorite! Fluffy pancakes and one of the best meals we ate on the island! The owner was so sweet and came over to check on us which made our experience! Service was friendly too! We will be coming back soon!

It was great!! Early bird gets the worm though, parking is tough. The food was bomb. Shout out to Jeff for recommending the passion fruit icing that took the pancakes to the next level. Highly recommend - it's fast, it's local, and it's good.

Just had breakfast at this cute little spot in Kailua and overall had a great experience! I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with hash browns - it was good, though not mind-blowing. The main ‘difficulty’ was that they only had packets of ketchup and soy sauce. Could have definitely used more seasoning and honestly about three times the amount of ketchup they provided. The real standout was the lilikoi pancakes - absolutely delicious and very flavorful! My wife got the French toast and rated it an 8/10, which came with pork link sausages. We also got an extra serving of that amazing lilikoi sauce for the French toast - it's incredibly creamy and makes everything better. Service was excellent, shoutout to Crystal who took great care of us. The restaurant gets very busy so expect a wait, and parking is a real challenge since it's only metered street parking. Good luck finding a spot! Despite the minor issues, the food quality and service make this place worth the visit. The lilikoi sauce alone is reason enough to come back.

We had to come here after my 10k run and boy was I hungry for some great breakfast. We had to wait 45mins + to be sitted as we came at probably the busiest time (Also it was 4th of July). But it was worth it. I got the Lilikoi pancake which was amazing and my husband got the main breakfast plate. It was worth the wait and price. PS- Do not park at the shopping center in front of it, there's a guy who sits there to watch people who dont go to the stores and tow.

Got lucky finding this place as a place to have breakfast on the way to Lanikai beach. The Liliko’i pancakes are amazing. They also had a special of Mango Liliko’i for the summer and they were great too. Loko moko was really good too. We ended up going back again at the end of our trip because we loved it so much. Parking is not ideal and you have to pay at the meter otherwise the other businesses will tow you if you park in their lot.

Came for Happy hour in early September, food was amazing. Had the pizza, wings, and tortilla soup. Please note before coming here this restaurant does NOT carry ranch. If you enjoy it with your pizza wings, you may want to look else where. Also, it may have been the time we came but the bugs were all over us despite the restaurant putting out these bug deterrents on each table. Other than that I think you may be better off picking up your food to go.

Jasmine is an amazing server! Her friendlessness and positive attitude is contagious! She genuinely wants to see her guests enjoy their visit. What a beautiful location. Waterfalls inside and out. Two different levels with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly wait staff. Drinks were delivered fresh and cold. Food came out hot and seasoned well. I enjoyed the chicken wings. My wife enjoyed the Ahi Tuna tacos. We also enjoyed the Ahi Tuna meal. Cooked perfectly! Then we hiked across the street to watch a beautiful sunset.

Wonderful restaurant, the atmosphere, cocktails, food and service was excellent. The macadamia fish was very good as well as the regular Old Fashioned cocktail. It was very enjoyable and the live music was just getting ready to start when we were leaving. We had a few people at our resort recommend The Monkeypod Kitchen. Not sure where they came up with the name. Cool place.

We had the Pork tacos, the Shrimp skillet appetizer (Spicy and Flavorfull). Also kids cheeseburger which had great flavor. Was pleasantly surprised as alot of people say it's spendy for what you get.

Monkeypod Kitchen in Kapolei is a wonderful farm to table restaurant with chill vibes and great food! My husband and I visited and was sat quickly. We heard so many great things about this spot and many YouTubers who visit Aulani recommend this spot. The most memorable thing of the restaurant happens to be the most random thing… the Le Creuset Salt + Pepper Shakers! IM OBSSEESSSSEDDDDD with Le Creuset and seeing this was so awesome, especially since there are no locations of this company on island. I ordered the Kailua Pork Pizza and it was delicious! I loved the crust and Neapolitan style pizza. My husband got fish and chips and we ordered the Banana Cream Pie for dessert.

Quickly seated service fast and food fantastic. Had the fresh caught fish taco s. Was pretty fresh and delicious wasn't looking for anything too much just a snack and it did me just right. Also the mango lava flow 🥭 drink and man that thing was soo good. I recommend this spot. #monkeypod. J royse was our server and he was very helpful. Tried the lobster devil eggs and they were also good.

You know what to expect when you walk in. It’s an open air patio seating with lots of large screen televisions and a large bar area. Wonderful variety of beers on tap. The hosts and server staff are all young and cheery and friendly. The vibe is loud, energetic and upbeat. This is not the place you go to have a quiet conversation. This is the place for 8+ person dining. The food quality is not great so I don’t think we’ll be coming back. I would recommend it for groups of teens/20s/30s - somethings.

Excellent food and great service! We went here for my birthday dinner and had the Garlic Shrimp Plate and Lulu Moco. The food was delicious and he plates were huge! Soooo much food for 2 people! The service was excellent and they made my birthday extra special with a small congratulatory sign on the table and a dessert after the meal. The restaurant is on the second floor if the building with opened windows that look out toward the ocean. I recommend making reservations as it was crowded for dinner. Will definitely go back again if given the chance!

Great restaurant on the strip. The nachos really were big. And delicious. I had the salmon salad and salmon was cooked perfectly. The staff was also so welcoming and kind. I would go back just to hang with them. They also had life music and a Great happy hour menu. I’d definitely go back

We loved LuLus! We stayed at Twin Fin so it was a super short walk. We did dinner the first night we were there. I had the pork roast and wife had the loaded Mac. Both were pretty good but the loaded Mac was damn good! We talked about it all trip! Haha. We had breakfast here a few days later and it was okay. Service was slower and food was average. Killer view of the beach though! Get the loaded Mac when you go!!!!

Marky was absolutely phenomenal she has a great personality. she was very attentive our drinks were never empty as far as the whole restaurant Vibe it was great food was amazing. And the price point was not bad at all. we will definitely be back while we are here on vacation.

So, my initial review was ok. Unfortunately after our last experience I had to change it. First time in, we sat at the bar. Our server seemed a little young and smug, rudely asked our age. I’m pretty sure he gave me a mocktail. The food was incredible, we ordered the poke nachos. Even tho we didn’t get our bacon like we asked, we really enjoyed it. We decided to dine here again a few nights later. After being sat, we waited at least 15 minutes for anyone to even ask us for drinks (servers just standing around, pointing and staring) Most of the servers were literally just on their phones. So yeah, after about 15 minutes, someone finally came over and apologized (same girl who stood around for the 15 just chit chatting with 2 other servers literally doing nothing even tho they knew we were waiting) drinks and food came out quickly, which we were happy about, we were pretty hungry and tired. We again ordered the poke nachos which were absolutely fresh and delicious. Because of the terrible service, twice, we probably will not be dining here again. We understand being busy, but the place was not packed, and servers were literally ignoring us. Very rude.

This is a great food spot that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. It also has a nice view of the ocean and you get that ocean breeze while you’re eating. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The only downside of this place is the annoying pigeons that walk around scavenging for anything you might drop on the floor. Clearly tourists have fed them and they’re accustomed to finding food. Because it’s an open air establishment there isn’t much they can do but scare them away if they approach you. It’s a minor annoyance but the food, prices, views and service make up for it. So I highly recommend this place for families.

Why'd they name it Goofy? I don't know, it's an ordinary cafe'. The food was good with ample portions. The taste was good, not great,not spectacular but a solid good. It just likeom used to make if she was a mediocre cook. This place is the same, they have their great dishes and the majority are good. It will fill you up and not make I feel cheated. The lemonade is great! I would back just for a tall cool sip of that sweet and sour nectar. It's an upstairs establishment, do if you can't climb steps, bring someone to carry you. I'd do it for a lemonade. (Disclaimer: if you are height and weight proportionate). So the view of the street is nice. You can sit and watch the people walking by. It is a small place so be prepared to wait. That's about it, it's another local grinds cafe'

Got there 2 mins to 7am when they open and we missed the sign up for first round of tables. We were a table of 2 and landed at number 16 on the waitlist. I'd recommend coming 10 to 15 mins early to sign up on the wait list sheet. Service is excellent. The staff are friendly and the lady spoke fluent Japanese. Those who couldn't wait on the wait list were offered to do take out. Atmosphere is very Hawaiian. The tables and chairs were the theme of a shack house and Hawaiian ukulele music was playing in the background. Cute restaurant on a second floor of a building. We got in at 7:35am and ordered by 7:40. Food and drinks came by 7:50am. Food was so delicious we finished at 7:58am. Papaya smoothie says limited, so I'm not sure if it's seasonal or until sold out. Was very good and can taste the lime in the smoothie. My friend had the POG mix. Strong guava flavour which is good. Not as sweet as my smoothie probably because of the orange juice. We shared the big breakfast loco moco. It was one of the best dishes I've had. I want to come back for the lunch loco moco which comes with fried rice instead of brown rice. The hamburger was slightly charred which gave it such a good flavour. The gravy reminded me of a Japanese hayashi rice. That gravy was savory and had butter flavours. Sunny side eggs had a crispy rim on the eggs. Loved it all and we had side plates so my friend who didn't like her rice draining in sauce while I loved my rice swimming in sauce could both satisfy our tastes. Highly recommend for their loco moco. I will come here everytime I come back to honolulu now. Update: I came back for lunch on a Tuesday. No line up and seating was relaxed. Ordered the lunch loco moco, green pasta, and pineapple iced tea. The lunch loco moco is $5 more than the breakfast loco moco. It was worth the extra $5. Instead of just brown rice, it comes with fried rice with kale, corn, and pork. My friend found it a bit salty after a few bites, but I loved it even more than the breakfast loco moco. It was really tasty and paired well with the pineapple iced tea. The pineapple iced tea was sweet but not too sweet. Bonus, it has free refills. Before leaving I wanted one more refill and the server asked if I wanted to take it to go. Service is excellent and staff are so friendly. Different servers for both visits, but everyone was attentive and all smiles. My friend had the green pasta, she really liked the nutty flavours. I tasted it and it had pesto and macadamia nuts. The garlic shrimp was good, but I felt the shrimp was slightly overcooked. Pasta was saucy, but texture of the pasta was very good and not too soft. Not the dish for me, but my friend said it's one of the best pastas she has had.

Hit this place right in the middle of my morning run. The Hawaiian Omelette was soooo good and the Taro Muffin substitute - go for it! That muffin was so good I ran with the other half in my pocket on the way home… not recommended but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. This place filled my tummy in a way it hasnt been filled in a while, you know that good full feeling that reaches your heart? Yeah, that one.😋 I came by myself and got a table in about 15-20 minutes (Arrived around 7:45am). The staff is so friendly and add to the ambiance. Definitely hit it up. This visit I went with savory, next time I wanna try the sweet stuff 🧇 🤙🏽

Don't let the name make you think this place isn't worth the trip, it definitely is. Walk up, sign the wait-list and wait to get seated. We had bfast here twice this week. The acai bowls are huge, and they are not shy with the amount of fruit added to the acai bowls, or the French toast, so your money is well spent. Coffee is good, the open-air atmosphere is very relaxed. It's an older building, but done up nicely inside.

We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and decided to try Goofy’s for breakfast. I ordered the sweet bread French toast with berries—delicious, and definitely something I’d recommend. My husband went with the loco moco; he enjoyed it but felt it was pretty average compared to others he tried during our trip. When you arrive, you’ll need to add your name to the waitlist. We waited about 40 minutes before being seated. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so wait times can be long, though it seemed that parties of two were seated much quicker than larger groups.

My favorite brunch place during my stay! I visited daily and tried something different each day with family. The food was always delicious and Goofy's has a refreshing variety of cocktails and mocktails. The seating options are eclectic and comfortable. The atmosphere is comfortable and fitting for family or lunch with friends. I want a Goofy's t-shirt or something swag... they dont have anything yet. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Always happy and professional as well.

This is a must do in Honolulu! Especially if you are close to or staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village! We ate her last time visiting 7 years ago - we’re thrilled it was still here. And loved it just as much this time. It’s a smaller space - and there appears to be a short line all morning - but don’t be discouraged- it is so so worth waiting 5-15 minutes. So many great dishes to choose from! Their Benedict’s are crazy delicious! Had their vegetarian one - and recommend trying it with the taro muffin! I decided on the Morning Power Salad (can you tell we were trying for healthy for this meal - lol!). Yikes was it amazingly good! And you can tell from the picture - very healthy too! I could not finish it so - have a second meal for later! All the vegetables and fruits were so fresh and crisp and delicious! Could not resist the fresh pineapple - and glad I had poor will power. Just capped of a tremendous breakfast. Have to say that the wait staff/team were so friendly and thoughtful - despite being busy. Joshua always had a smile and was quick to help! So highly recommend having breakfast at this awesome spot - almost one of those classic hole in the wall spots that most will miss. Don’t you miss it!!

We went here at 430 pm on a Friday as a couple and got seated within 30 minutes. Walking in there was a weird smell like years-old mildew under the carpets. It was unbearable. Luckily we got sat on the outside part of the restaurant. The bread and appetizers were good, nothing special though. The crab dip tasted mostly like cream cheese. Both entrees were flavorless. I had the lamb papardelle and the sauce on it was just some oil. I needed a few hefty pinches of salt on top of the dish to get and semblance of flavor out of it. The roasted chicken was juicy at least, but still not an ounce of seasoning, luckily the pineapple and veggies with it had flavor. Finally, the drinks were tasty, but that is because they were mostly mixer/juice/sugar. For as expensive as they were I would expect more alcohol in them. I would save your time, money, and nostrils by going somewhere else.

Haleiwa Joe’s at Haiku Gardens is truly a gem! The food is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The views overlooking the gardens and mountains are breathtaking, making the whole experience unforgettable. The staff provides excellent customer service, always friendly and attentive, which really adds to the warm atmosphere. The only downside is the wait time for seating, but once you’re in, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect mix of great food, stunning scenery, and top-notch service!

This place was a gem in the jungle. I went there with a group of 6 on a weeknight. We only waited maybe 30 min before we were seated in a table. In the mean time we were able to get served drinks by a bar top table. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant and was very easy to have a conversation, as it wasn't too loud. I ordered the Ceviche and the table side steak dish with a berry creme brulee desert. The table side steak with gravy smelled and tasted amazing. It was cooked a perfect med-rare per my request. The ceviche was fresh and delicious and the creme brulee had a great flavor with a nice crust. To top it all off the view and the service was top notch. Highly recommend this place.

What an amazing experience. We came early because they don't take reservations. Got here at 3:20 on a Saturday because they open at 4. We were seated in the first group as soon as they opened. Ambience and scenery is amazing! Service top notch and the food was exquisite! I had the pork Loin special and the wife had the grilled blue marlin special. Perfect cook on both. Cocktails were great. I will definitely be back for the prime rib. The price turned me off at $74.95 until I saw it come out. The cut is between 2 and 3 pounds per serving! It was enormous! The restaurant is about a half hour drive from Honolulu, so very pleasant experience all around. Don't sleep on this one!

Wow, between this and the North Shore restaurant, this place definitely has the better atmosphere and view. The menu is almost the same, but the garden and mountain backdrop make the experience extra special. They don’t take reservations, so it’s best to arrive early. I also liked that they had a separate seating area for appetizers and drinks while we waited, which was a nice touch since the wait for a group was pretty long.

I love my prime rib steak cooked exactly how I want it — perfectly done and flavorful! The portion is huge, so I definitely recommend sharing it with someone unless you’re really hungry and not ordering anything else. We came for dinner, so unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the garden view, but I’d love to come back again before dusk to experience it. Overall, great food and worth returning for!

Haleiwa Joe’s in Haiku is a beautiful spot surrounded by lush greenery—it feels like you're dining right in the middle of a tropical garden. The views alone make it worth the visit, especially around sunset. The food is excellent. The steak is a good size and cooked just right, and the seafood is fresh and flavorful. Drinks are strong and tasty, and the staff is friendly and attentive even when it's packed. It does get busy, so getting there early is a good idea since they don’t take reservations. While you wait, you can walk around the garden and enjoy the scenery. Great place for a relaxed dinner with friends and family.

We were really looking forward to trying Heavenly Island Lifestyle for breakfast—the restaurant is super cute, and the menu looked amazing. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. While the food that did come out tasted good, the service was a major letdown. My husband, sister, boyfriend, and daughter all received their meals, but mine never came. I waited patiently, thinking maybe my steak was just taking longer, but after nearly everyone had finished eating, we asked and it turned out they had completely forgotten my order. When they finally brought something out, it wasn’t even what I ordered. To add to the frustration, my husband ordered scrambled eggs and got over easy instead. We didn’t complain, just let it go. But the biggest issue was with my sister’s coconut bowl. She clearly requested no pineapple due to an allergy, yet it still came with pineapple. Thankfully, she noticed before eating it. In the end, I canceled my meal, I had lost my appetite from the poor service and lack of care. No one ever checked in on us, and overall, it felt like we were forgotten. Disappointing experience at a place we were genuinely excited to try.

A very unique & lovely small restaurant with Japanese words and pictures on the menu. The server was very friendly and recommended the Egg Benedict, which was filled with shredded pork and was quite delicious. We also ordered the Loco moco, which was also great and was served with whole grain rice. I like the laid-back feel here !

This morning during our vacation we came here for breakfast. They have quite a good selection of standard breakfast options. Each of us tried something different, and I can say the breakfasts were pretty tasty. I had French toast with Hawaiian fruits — the fruits were fresh and delicious, and the toast was good as well. The coffee was okay, but I can’t really say I liked the matcha. It was very hot, not prepared correctly, and the amount of matcha powder was off, which made it quite bitter. The service was pleasant, and there are comfortable outdoor seating areas. Overall, this is a place you could definitely return to for breakfast or maybe lunch. The only thing I’d wish for is better quality in the drinks, like coffee and matcha. In general, a positive impression🥰

Super tasty eggs Benedict with very generous pieces of salmon. The kale salad was very good and there wasn’t too much sauce; the ube fries were original and crunchy! Very filling, perfect for breakfast before adventuring on the island! Also we were staying in the Waikiki Shoreline hotel and had a discount for this place. I recommend it!!

Great selection of food, juices and smoothies. Located along one of the main Waikiki streets, but with good ambience and great service. Visited few times during my stay in Honolulu. Great menu for breakfast and dinner, but also the happy hours lunch menu had few delicious meals. I’ve enjoyed the food and juices, some of their teas, but also had one of the best pina on the island. Worth visiting. Oh, and did I mention that for 2$ extra each, you can add as many eggs as you like to whatever you’ve ordered? For me that’s heaven.

Very good spot for breakfast. They had fresh green juice, great sides and the eggs Benedict were phenomal. Normally I like them more runny but it was good with their pork. Good spot to sir, enjoy local fare and not break the bank.

Beautiful views & exceptional service. Had drinks here last night & they played great music. Relaxed by the pool for a bit & their breakfast was excellent. Very short walk to the beach from here. We really enjoyed our stay & this restaurant was the icing on the cake.

We came here for brunch after our Diamond Head hike. The view was spectacular (see photos) and the food was hearty and satisfying, perfect for after hike. Service was so lovely and both the host and the waitress were very happy to chat with us. They have THE BEST Loco Moco here (and we've tried 3 other loco moco on the island). The drink menu looked so interesting and we regret that we didn't try any drink.

It has a Great View If you On top Of the Hotel , if you travel with pets and the army they don’t Bother you to clean the room since they are aware there are Pets In the room , very Nice People around , no complaints at all with Others Guests. Very small Being in the 16th floor But overall it’s very nice and good to sleep comfortable too. Doesn’t Include Breakfast And It’s Kind Of expensive. The Beaches Are right there Near the Hotel . The Pool Is small But really nice for the Kids

Service was questionable… poor management.The food was pretty good but by 8am they were sold out of the berries for their Tokyo style pancakes. Food took a very long time to come out. Basic hygiene should also be gone over with the staff. Also not sure who we spoke with, the manger? But I’m not sure why we were told “you always need a reservation here” when they were slow and that was absolutely not the case when I checked with the host.

Can be slow service but the food is good and you can’t beat the view. Definitely make a reservation but depending when you come there is a chance for walk in. Happy hour time can be pretty busy. I’ve been here many times, brunch, happy hour/dinner. The deck burger is very tasty and I recommend upgrading your fries to the truffle fries. I also like the guacamole and fish tacos.

Wow… where do I even start? I came for dinner at sunset and the view of Diamond Head glowing orange and pink was absolutely breathtaking. The vibe inside is cozy and stylish, perfect for date night or drinks with friends! I got the Spice Girl cocktail (balanced, not too sweet, with a spicy kick!) and a double of Ilegal Mezcal that was smoky, smooth, and perfect. For food, I had the house wedge salad with lilikoi vinaigrette (had to swap dressings bc of my allergies) and Kauai garlic prawns 🦐 which was fresh, crisp, flavorful, and honestly one of the best salads I’ve had on Oahu! My friend ordered the fish tacos (mahi mahi katsu with lilikoi slaw and Hawaiian chili aioli) plus the truffle fries and house blonde ale. He devoured everything. And according to him, those fries are the BEST on island. Shoutout to Abby, our server, who made the entire night so special! She was warm, knowledgeable, super mindful of my food allergies, and genuinely one of the best servers I’ve had in Honolulu. If you come here, ask for Abby! She’ll make your experience 10/10.

This is a great little spot to pick up some great food. I wish I would have gotten something other than the sliders. It’s not that they were bad, they were just tiny and I was left hungry after. We went for lunch one day and breakfast the next. The burritos as bomb. They are huge, filling and oh so tasty. Highly recommend going if you’re looking for a nice spot to chill, eat some good with the local chickens and do some shopping.

Great spot for a casual, satisfying meal after a day exploring the North Shore! The pork is definitely the star here—tender, flavorful, and served generously. I had the Bombers and they lived up to the hype—loaded, filling, and packed with flavor. The portions are big, so come hungry. The vibe is laid-back and the staff was friendly, even during the lunch rush. It’s not a huge space, so seating can be tight during peak times, and there was a bit of a wait. But the food came out quickly once we ordered. Overall, a solid spot for classic Hawaiian-style comfort food. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Haleiwa!

Ray is the owner/manager and was super respectful, jovial, courteous and genteel. Nice to meet you man! The environment has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The chairs are metal so bring a towel you can fold up if you have no butt to cushion your experience. Food was great! Pricing is decent and it’s great because you are supporting local businesses. Especially after European colonialism and the heavy white presence here. Remember to respect the people and the culture. This isn’t just a paradise excursion. This is a land where the people have for generations established a kingdom and we are visitors against their will so show respect. The music is calming and the location was easy to access. The portions are kinda small. At least for me. I’m an average 6’4” 250 lbs and I EAT. So I probably wouldn’t come here if I was extremely hungry but the meal is a good lean meal to get your day started or if you just need to fill yourself to stave off hunger. Or if you’re a smaller person with a regular appetite. lol. Also I think the portions are for white people that serve as the majority of the people here so I’m not surprised the local businesses would make portions to serve the primary audience. In any case an excellent restaurant. Remember to support the locals here. Not white colonialism.

Chuns bomber was awesome. Flavor and portion size was just right. Biscuits and gravy were good and the gravy was flavorful. Definitely recommend the iced vanilla macadamia nut coffee. Get it with a splash of cream and simple syrup.

The sliders were insanely delicious! I do agree would other reviews though that portion sizes are small. I’m someone who never cleans their plate and I ate every single bite. There’s not very much seating and you are right by a busy road.

Service was fantastic, and strawberry lemonade was to die for!! Our food was good, but didn’t wow us. (We got the Hawaiian bowl, and the Old School sandwich) I’ll admit we were not super hungry when we came, so perhaps not ready lol, but this location closes so early and we wanted to try! I think if we were to eat here again I’d try some of the breakfast options, those seem to be more popular.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience at iHop today. We came with our family for breakfast, hoping for a pleasant start to the day — but things didn’t go as expected. First, we had to wait a very long time just to get inside, even though there didn’t seem to be a full house. Then, once seated, we had to wait even longer for our food, despite ordering simple breakfast items. The service was noticeably slow, and the staff seemed disorganized and not in a hurry to assist guests. When the food finally arrived, it didn’t live up to the price — we paid around $25 per plate, but the quality definitely didn’t reflect that. The portions were okay, but the presentation and freshness left much to be desired. It didn’t feel dirty, but the overall appearance of the place looked outdated and unkempt, like it hadn’t been refreshed in a while. We really wanted to enjoy our time, but unfortunately, the whole experience just felt disappointing. We don’t plan to return.

Went here on a Saturday got bacon, eggs, and a waffle- everything was good. Really good. Went back the next day and got a T-bone, fried eggs, and a waffle- and barely made it back to the hotel before my stomach folded on me. Not sure which item made me sick, but will not be returning.

Took 40 minutes to get food. potatoes were cold, the ham was mediocre warm. Toast was cold and dry. You get a very small portion of potatoes a half a slice of ham that's cut in half so you could too small slices of ham and that's for $20 you'll be better off getting food at any other store along the strip. This place doesn't care about the customers. Services are poor Bill was $51.06 Waitress gave a change of $42.00 $7.00 short. Ironically, the tip would be $7.00 Count your change

I've been here before and it was ok but this time was quite bad. We ordered a steak and eggs with a steak cooked rare. The steak was over cooked and didn't look appetizing at all. It tasted old and was cooked to medium with almost no sear. We also ordered the bananas foster pancake which came to the table looking pitiful. Literally lim it was thrown on the plate with a poor excuse for a squeeze of topping and the most sparing amount of whipped cream. The server was quick but made multiple mistakes and seemed to have an attitude from the beginning. Overall not a good experience.

Was able to get a table as soon as we walked in so that was nice. Took a while before anyone came by after that. We got coffee and water about 10 min after sitting down. Food took about 45 minutes. Hostess never came by to check on us during that time. Food was average at best. My biscuits were under cooked and my wife had to ask for her toast twice. The entire time we waited for food, nothing was coming out of the kitchen. No one was getting anything. So the entire room just waited while the kid in the center of the room screamed. We paid cash so we could leave as soon as possible. Chaotic restaurant with very poor service. Don’t recommend.

As a must visit American chain I couldn't resist visiting while in Hawaii. I was under the impression that IHOPs were open 24hours but this location closes at 9pm. Despite this, we were welcomed in at 8.45pm - it was nice that the kitchen was still open right up till closing time. Our server was friendly and approachable. The food took some time to come out but I can understand that perhaps the kitchen had started to close up. The food was just fine, portion sizes large. The side dish of mac and cheese was delicious and had a great cheesy flavour. I would recommend IHOP while in Waikiki even if just for one meal.

Super delicious! We had the fresh fruit rainbow pancakes, pineapple pork chops, chicken strips, and Kailua pork Benedict on taro bun. Everything tasted great, and we will definitely eat there again! Servings were generous and could be shared.

The pancake was good and big in portion. The coffee can be refilled for free. But that was American style coffee which I cant drink too much. Overall it is nice!

Not sure about the hype with this breakfast chain. It reminded me of IHOP. I ordered the ribeye steak and eggs, which were cooked well, but the price was high and the overall offering felt generic. I would recommend supporting a local small business instead.

Got sat quickly, ordered immediately and food came all within 15 mins! Great service and amazing food. We had the kalbi & eggs, special omelet (Portuguese sausage, spinach, white onion & cheese) with POG juice & guava juice

Maybe the best tacos I have ever had. With batter and huge pieces of fish. The sauce is a little spicy but not too spicy. And a great basket of truffle fries, crunchy and soft in the middle. Service at the bar was great and the place has a nice low key vibe. Located on Ala Moana and Keawe Street in a block full of restaurants, bars and shops. Very cool.

Bonnie, Casandra and 1 more employee I forgot her name.. customer service was 110% food was an A+ I would highly recommend this place !! You all should definitely try MOKU! Okay, this is my go-to spot for fresh, flavorful food in Kakaʻako! I’ll be honest… the last few times I went, I was a little disappointed because the portions felt smaller and my order came out incomplete until I reminded them. But THIS last visit? Hands down the best I’ve ever had at Moku! The portions were generous, the food came out hot and delicious, and the service was next-level! I got the rotisserie veggie plate with shrimp which was grilled, fresh, flavorful, and totally worth the price. Also got the house made ginger beer which wasn’t too sweet and definitely packed a spicy punch! But the real star? Caroline, my server! She was incredible - friendly, upbeat, so attentive, and seriously knows the menu inside and out. I have multiple food intolerances and she made sure everything was safe for me, double and triple-checking with the kitchen. It’s rare to feel that taken care of! Give Caroline a raise or make her the gold standard because she completely elevated my Moku experience and restored my hope! If you haven’t been in a while, GO. They’re back and better than ever!

Ok, so sorry but the food we had in Honolulu was not the best, and we went to several places. Food is really bland not much flavor. Then on our last day we found this place, the vibes were great everyone was so friendly. Then came the food it was delicious and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place. The steak was cooked perfectly!

This place was 10/10, they had the best ahi tacos and their crème burlee was also very tasty. I would 💯 recommend this place , the service was also very good. Their pizza was decent , but they have so many other better fine tune curated dishes that are worth trying

Moku was a true highlight of our Hawaiian vacation; seriously the best food, and drink, of the entire week! We went during happy hour and it was AMAZING! All the appetizers were half off during HH making them an incredible deal! We tried 8 things off the HH menu, and fell ridiculously in love with every item! The Ahi Poke tacos were easily the best I've ever had, anywhere. The Moku Mai Tai was $9, definitely the cheapest you'll find in Waikiki!, and was also the absolute best on the island; that passionfruit foam was to die for! If I lived in Hawaii, rest assured I'd be a regular here! Go, you won't be disappointed!

FOOD 3.5 An eclectic mix of pastas, pizzas, and Asian fusion dishes. We ordered bulgogi sliders, French fries, fettucine with tomato and basil, margherita pizza and ice cream sandwiches. All fairly decent with no issues. SERVICE 4.5 Server was very attentive and accommodating. Other staff were also very attentive and warm. ATMOSPHERE 4 Typical noisy brewpub atmosphere with plenty of service staff. OVERALL 4 I would go back for sure. Make sure you register your license plate to receive parking validation.

The atmosphere at Herringbone is top notch - you'd never know you're inside a busy mall! The ambiance and the service really made dinner feel relaxing. However, the food was really hit or miss, and the menu inconsistencies between online, in print, and verbal were so disappointing. They didn't have several things that were listed online (including the dinner my husband wanted) and didn't have the dessert that I wanted to go here for - it's still listed on both the online and restaurant menus, but the waiter told us it's discontinued. If we'd known what was actually on the menu, we'd probably have skipped going here. 5/5 Drinks - both the cocktails and mocktails are flavourful and fun 5/5 Wagyu hot stone - we loved this! Small portions of course (it's a small appetizer), but the flavour was so good 2/5 American wagyu - this was not cooked rare as ordered, and was kind of so-so. Unfortunate since it wasn't cheap. My husband didn't want to waste food by having it remade but it was so disappointing 3/5 Brussels sprouts - very oily, not a lot of flavour 4/5 Bone marrow - very tiny portion but great flavour 3/5 Misoyaki butterfish - pretty standard and the bok choy is a great addition. I didn't love it, but it was good. The shrimp dumplings were the highlight of the dish for sure Overall we enjoyed the setting for dinner a lot but for a $200 meal I expected it to be better - and especially for the steak to be cooked as ordered

Great service from Shannon! Favorite drink of the trip as the Capricious Collins, so refreshing. The Wagyu hot stone and miso cod were the standouts of the meal. Came back the next day for another beverage, nice bar staff too!

Something was off during our visit! We’re told we had to be seated inside - even though tables available outside. Then no service - eventually the barman (lady) was sent over and was delightful but clearly under pressure to make cocktails and still come running out to take food orders! So everything was pretty slow and a few errors were made! The manager was wafting around spending a lot of time chatting to wait staff but not assisting or directing in any meaningful way! Having said that - when we received our food it was good - oysters superb! Overall really disappointing and could easily have been very different !

Such a hidden gem tucked away on the 3rd floor. Quiet but lovely! Food was fantastic and the service top notch! Super low prices for the area!

Decent spot for happy hour The food was average for this price range, hit and miss. But the ingredients taste fresh which is good. My favorite surprisingly was the vegan risotto. The staff are super helpful and the atmosphere is nice

Interesting menu, pricy like everything else in Waikiki, but you always hope the food will match the price. I tried the grilled octopus - half of it was great, black eye peas and sauce, the bigger side was a bit chewy - next time I’ll go with the wagyu on hot stone (my second choice). The pork chop was all good, Bruxelles sprouts with sweet chilli sauce and a cabbage on top - really my favorite of the dinner! The coconut dome desert was light and tasty, not very sweet, loved it. To compensate for the octopus,we were treated to a desert/show experience - a ball of chocolate filled with ice cream and a strawberry, served with rum set on fire (I believe it was rum because my husband kept saying he’s tasting some 😁) For drink I had a gin based cocktail, with a Hawaii flavor but as close to gin and tonic you can get, with a bit of flowery/fruity taste - loved it! Our server was a bit occupied to take care of us, even though the restaurant was not too full…The kitchen stuff came to table to check on us and I really appreciate the attention! As not all food is created equal in Waikiki , this place is fairly good.

I’ve been wanting to try this place ever since it opened and unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations. It has absolutely stunning design, beautiful patio and dining room, definitely would be a good spot for a get together atmosphere-wise. I came in around 9 pm on a Saturday night and the the restaurant wasn’t busy, I was greeted and seated immediately and the hostess was so incredibly nice and welcoming despite the fact it was already so late into the busiest night of the week. I happened to come during the happy hour, so I got a drink and food off that menu - Aoki Manhattan, hamachi crudo and furikake fries. I’m a whiskey/bourbon aficionado and it was the first time I had a Manhattan served on the rocks. The drink was flavorful and stiff but biting on the small pieces of ice felt a bit off. The crudo tasted fantastic, fresh fish, tangy sauce and topping, almost perfect if it was a bit more seasoned. I wouldn’t recommend furikake fries. Definitely prepared to order, hot and crispy, but the flavor was lacking. Small sprinkle of mass-produced furikake that mostly contained salt didn’t do anything for the flavor and nor did a modest amount of mayo squeezed on top. My server seemed in a rush and a bit uninterested, perhaps because it was just me. My water never got refilled, he never checked in on me or asked how was everything going. Somebody who I assumed to be a manager checked in on me, I shared my experience and he seemed to care and wanting to help/rectify my experience. I won’t be back as there are better places on the island, but I believe they have some good dishes and maybe you should find out for yourself.

The food wasn't bad, and I enjoyed the Malasada Pancakes, though very greasy if u saved some for later. The wait wasn't bad, but trying to get a table wasn't enjoyable. The waitress straight up ignored us and walked past us a few times. We had to walk up to someone to get put on the waiting list. Luckily we had a different waitress serve us once we did get a table. I'd take out next time if I really wanted something, but there are so many better breakfast/brunch places with great service that I'd rather spend my money at.

Small diner in Kapolei that has a solid menu to choose from. Ate here with family and enjoyed the food we ordered. Not too long of a wait and service was pretty good. Great place to have brunch with friends.

If you’re in Kapolei and looking for a spot that delivers both great food and friendly service, My Cafe is a must-try. We stopped in and were impressed right from the start—our server was warm, attentive, and made us feel at home. Wait for 6 people was 10-15 mins. It’s a small restaurant, but worth the wait!!! The food definitely lived up to the hype. We ordered a spread that included their fried rice, crispy potatoes and garlic truffle potatoes (OMG), veggie omelette, kalua pork, eggs benedict, and of course their house coffee. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The loco moco was so amazing! The flight of pancakes which had 3 mini sets of flavors to include cookie butter, lilikoi and ube. I also ordered the cookie buttah waffle…yum oh! The fried rice was hearty and packed with flavor, the kalua pork was tender, and the eggs benedict had that perfect balance of richness without being too heavy. The veggie omelette was fresh and filling, while the potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft inside—just right. Pairing it all with their smooth house coffee made the meal complete. What really stood out was how everything tasted homemade yet polished, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. You can tell this is a place that cares about quality and consistency. Overall, My Cafe hits the sweet spot between comfort food and a cafe-style vibe. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Loved the BEAST eggs Benedict, pancake flight, and furikake spam and eggs plate! Huge portions for a great price! Definitely worth the drive from town, but be prepared to wait if it’s crowded! This place is popular for a good reason—great food and great service!☺️

(Late Review from April 6, 2025) This is a late review from my visit in April, but My Cafe in Hawaii left such an impression that I had to write it. It’s hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the world. I don’t say that lightly—I’m usually the type who refuses to wait more than 30 minutes for a table anywhere. But for My Cafe, I’ll gladly make an exception every single time. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the people make it worth every second. The dish that keeps me coming back every trip is the Country Fried Steak. Let me be clear: I’m originally from Virginia, raised on true country fare, and I’ve had Country Fried Steak from the East Coast to the West. I even make a mean one myself. But nothing compares to My Cafe’s. Their version is hands down the best I’ve ever tasted—crispy, tender, smothered in the most flavorful gravy, served up with eggs and potatoes that complete the plate perfectly. It’s the star of the show every single time. Other highlights worth mentioning: Banana Mac Nut Waffle – Fresh bananas, fluffy waffle, and that incredible mac nut sauce. On my last visit, I told the staff this was my last stop before flying back to California and how sad I was it would be awhile before I could return. They surprised me by running out with a Banana Mac Nut Waffle for my kids, free of charge, right before I drove off to the airport. That moment captured the aloha spirit of this place perfectly. Jalapeño Biscuits & Gravy – Fluffy, just the right amount of heat, covered in rich gravy. Comfort food done right. Loco Moco – Pure Hawaiian comfort food. Perfect eggs, savory beef, rich brown gravy over rice. The staff here truly embody aloha. They don’t just serve food—they make you feel like family. And that last-minute act of kindness with the waffle will stick with me forever. No words can really capture how much I love this place. The food is consistently amazing, the staff treat you like family, and every bite feels like Hawaii on a plate. My Cafe is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Mahalo My Cafe. This place is an absolute must go to. The macadamia nut waffles are out of this world. I enjoyed it so much that I have to go back and get more as soon as possible. The staff is amazing. They are professional, but at the same time they’re caring and compassionate. Thank you guys for making my experience wonderful

Everything about this place is top notch. The panko crusted spam was an exceptional choice and glad I made it, also upgrade the potatoes you won’t regret it. Staff was hands down 5 star.

We arrived shortly after opening and there was already a line out the door. This is typically a good sign for most any restaurant. After ordering we were able to sit at a small table and enjoy the morning rain. The service was efficient so our food arrived fairly quick for such a busy spot. I ordered a hot London fog with Mac nut milk. It was perfect. As I sipped it it reminded me of fruity pebbles. (5 stars) The London fog paired perfectly with the fig honey glazed scone we ordered. The scone was moist but had a great crumble to it. There were thick chunks of fig throughout the entire pastry and the honey glaze on top made the perfect balance of sweetness. (5 stars) Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich: When it arrived the house-made buttermilk biscuit looked almost as of it had been fried and had difficulty looking appealing. After the first bite things started to improve. The egg was scrambled and well cooked while the red onions and spicy mayo added just enough extra flavor to keep it interesting. The cheddar fully covered everything and was melted so nicely. It was tasty but it was also the kind of sandwich to leave you feeling heavy. (3.5 stars) Breakfast burrito: The burrito started off strong. The first bites were savory, cheesy and a little spicy. The dipping sauce that came with the burrito complemented all the flavors well. As the burrito progressed it became slightly overwhelming due to the excess of cheese and meat. Next time I'd skip adding the extra bacon to it. (4 stars) Lastly the Mac and Cheese pancakes: if you like feeling as though you could pass a way from a heart attack at any moment this option could be for you. The pancakes are fully coated in fried cheese and stuffed with macaroni. After my first bite I began to feel ill. I tried several bites just in case it could get better but it didn't. These were the most overwhelming pancakes I'd ever eaten. We initially ordered them because it sounded fun and exciting. We were not prepared by any means for this. (2 stars) Overall Morning Glass was a great experience and we'd love to go back to try more pastries and other items on their menu. We felt as though this place has a lot of great potential and maybe we just ordered the wrong things for us.

A must stop when on Oahu! Such friendly service with AMAZING food and drinks! We got the Vietnamese coffee and Sucker Punch- both full of flavor and great. We got the biscuit sandwich and biscuit and gravy which were both flawless. They have a great array of pastries as well

Delicious coffee and pastries. The syrup was a bit sweet for me (I like it a lot less sweet than most people). The carrot cake was THE BEST I've ever had! Highly recommend budgeting lots of time for dine in or ordering ahead online because the line can get pretty long on weekends (~45min). Great spot!

Morning Glass should be labeled as a morning or brunch restaurant and not really a coffee shop or cafe. There’s always a line but never feels busy & I was served quite quickly after ordering. Most tables have food orders and while they serve delicious coffee and espresso drinks (and even have an express counter for such online orders) you’re not invited to occupy the space with work or leisure time outside of your dining experience. I wish they would expand and include a relaxing coffee shop vibe as they have improved the decor a bit, though watch for rain clouds & use provided umbrellas. My cortado and blueberry crumble cake were delicious. 🤙🏼

My wife is the coffee drinker and she is really picky about her coffee, she doesn't even like Kona Coffee. With out a doubt, Morning Glass Coffee is her favorite coffee on Oahu. I love their breakfast sandwiches so we both give this place 5 stars

The place has a nice chill vibe. We went around 10 am on a Wednesday, and there was little to no wait. We got the blueberry scone which was delicious, cold brew which had a good strong taste but still refreshing, the sweet tea was amazing with a hint of mint, definitely try the strata...I don't know how to explain it but it was delicious and savory. The real star was the macaroni pancakes. They were savory but sweet and deliciously cheesy. It blew our mind. It's a big portion, so I only ate about 1/4 of mine and saved the rest for later. They have dedicated parking but it is small.

My cousin recently moved to Mililani and I was told this was his favorite breakfast spot, so for sure I had to come eat here. Hella good selection. Hella good food. Hella good hospitality. Hella good vibes. What more could you ask for? It's definitely a place you want to return to and try out more food, especially their homemade desserts which we didn't have a chance to eat this time around. Much love from the Bay. 😎🤙

The staff is extremely helpful and very nice. Food was also amazing. My wife had the Florentine Benedict with potato’s and I had a blueberry pancake with the Portuguese sausage. Everything came out quick and was amazing. Thank you all!

Coffee was super. Kona coffee is so good. The atmosphere/decor is cute. Not too Hawaiian but nice, clean, with a friendly staff. Pancakes were very good. Nice and fluffy. We also got a side of bacon. It was also very good and nice and crispy.

The food here is so yummy!! I had the classic bacon and eggs with a side of the French toast. I don’t know what bread they use but it was giant and amazing!! The best I’ve had on the island. The people here are so incredibly nice and friendly. Definitely will be coming back. Just a great local diner with great people ♥️

The Eggs and Bacon were spot-on, with the bacon crispy and the eggs cooked just how we like them. The Blueberry Pancakes, though, stole the show—loaded with fresh, juicy blueberries and made with real butter, they were light, fluffy, and pure bliss. The coffee was fresh and bold, tying it all together beautifully. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and that generous use of butter made every dish feel indulgent yet homey. It’s no surprise we keep coming back to this Dillingham location—it’s a reliable hit every time we’re on the island. Old school breakfast restaurant. My first visit. It like walking back in time. Old fashioned set up. I ordered 2 eggs and sausage with pancakes. Eggs were small in size but came out cooked to order and hot as was the sausage. Both tasted great. The pancakes were good, sort of flat. They were all out of their famous apple pancakes. I would definitely go again

This place is one of our favorites! Classic diner with amazing food. I highly recommend the omelettes they are HUGE and delicious. Also if you are lucky you can order a special apple pancake that is baked in the oven. I got to order it today and it is by far the best pancake I have ever had. I smothered it in butter and got whipped cream on the side and regret nothing. You haven’t really had a pancake until you’ve tasted this.

I come here for the flap jacks or the dutch baby, everything else is just alright. I don't crave pancakes too often, and because flap jacks are way better then pancakes I just come here. The flap jacks practically melt in your mouth... along with the butter and syrup

Hands down my favorite breakfast place in Honolulu. I had macadamia (macnut, as the local calls it) nut pancake the last time I came here 15+ years ago. I think what makes this super good, is not just the pancake texture and the macnut, but the coconut based syrup.. it's soooooo incredibly good. I just love macnut so this is how I like to eat. I would say the syrup is really the secret sauce. I will visit it every time I come to Hawaii. Why don't the mainland have this, I don't know but it will sell like hotcakes.

This place food was amazing!! The pancakes were as fluffy as a cloud omelette was fresh and delicious!!! If ever in Honolulu please drive the 20 minutes from Waikiki you won’t regret it! I promise!! We have been to the original pancake house in Michigan and this island had the best food. Periodt! Pancakes were light as a cloud!!!

Cool place to sit and eat especially after catching the sunset at Shark's Cove across the street. Wake up this special of the day which was Marlin tacos, the fish was a touch overdone but not too bad. The sauce they put on top really set off the taco

Tried out Aji Limo Truck for dinner while in the area. It’s neighbours to Seven Brothers. Plates aren’t worth the extra cost. - Fried calamari ($12.00 USD) - standard fare - Yuca fries ($10.00 USD) - small portion - Thai poke ($19.00 USD plate) - out of mango - Ceviche poke ($17.00 USD bowl) - only came with a few chips, red onions and lettuce. Meh - Spicy poke ($17.00 USD bowl) - way too much raw white onion - Hawaiian poke ($19.00 USD plate) - Palo santo poke ($19.00 USD plate) - best of the pokes we tried - Yakisoba ($17.00 USD) - chicken was dry, noodles were bland Foodland in the adjacent lot has better poke at half the price.

I used to come here all the time and the poke was always good. Today it was horrible; the fish was not fresh and there was an entire plate of soggy rice to go with it. Don’t even think this is the Spicy miso poke I ordered. Tasted so bad ): so disappointed especially for $17.

Our first food stop during our Hawaii vacation and we were very impressed. I ordered the spicy seared ahi poke bowl and asked to add some garlic shrimp and avocado--super flavourful and delicious. Had the bowl size which is smaller than the plate and I found it super filling. Food didn't take long to make. Lots of flavor and a nice kick to it. Husband had the Peruvian surf and turf. Great flavour but the beef was a bit chewy. Great atmosphere, few picnic tables to sit, typical random chickens roaming around, got bothered by some bugs falling off trees but I'm a city girl so I'm easily bothered with these things lol. Regardless would come again!

The food was quick and delicious. I had a split between the Spicy and Hawaiian Poke and it was the perfect combination.

We had lunch here today. The Poke bowl was great Im told. However I don't recommend the fish and chip sandwich.

Super cute atmosphere. Tucked away in the back so don’t miss it. Lots of great tables to chose from. Three of us got the Yakisoba with chicken. Was super tasty and good and large. Two of us got the poke. The fish was fresh but the dish lacked in variety. It was rice, onion, sauce and the fish protein. The rice was undercooked and not very tasty. Zero veggies. Was a bit disappointing. But the yakisoba was not!

We stopped by this place for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the huge outdoor area. The weather was perfect for sitting outside—just make sure you find a spot in the shade, because weeks under the Hawaiian sun can burn you before you even realize it. The food was great. I had the waffle, and my boyfriend tried the loco moco—both were delicious. The place seems really popular with locals and families; there were plenty of seats, and lots of people driving in to grab a bite. The only downside is the lack of a proper bathroom. They only have porta-potties, which wasn’t ideal, especially with the hot weather making them a bit unpleasant. Overall, still a good spot to enjoy a casual lunch—just be prepared for the restroom situation.

This place was so good we went back to get lunch after breakfast. Fresh produce felt like a premium on the island, and this was one of the few places that felt easy to eat clean without compromising taste. My wife and I tried 7 acai places between Oahu and the Big Island, and this one was our favorite. No one ingredient stood out, this was just the perfect blend of fruit and base and granola. The keiki fried rice was tasty and a solid portion, and the salad we ordered for lunch was good too. Thank you for a wonderful meal, and keep up the good work!

We stopped at Farm to Barn during our North Shore drive and loved the laid-back atmosphere. It’s such a peaceful spot — the open-air seating, the palm trees, and the view of the fields make it feel like a little local hideaway. The food was fresh and flavorful. We tried the açaí bowls and one of the wraps — everything tasted healthy and homemade.

Acai bowl was good... refreshing on a hot day. Papaya was fresh and sweet. The watermelon basil drink was great. Couldn't tell much about other foods. Some of my friends said they were good. Nice seating area outside. Unfortunately, porta-potty is the bathroom you have to use here.

First time here and highly recommend for everyone. The found was great and was even a cute dog wondering around. Took off one star for atmosphere as some picnic tables had mud puddles around it. If I was local, I would alway stop here!

We enjoyed a beautiful morning at North Shore and are so very glad we took a recommendation from a friend to try out Farm to Barn. The acai bowls were amazing! Every bite was delicious! Very clean. Friendly associates. An all around nice place. Can not wait to go back again soon!!! I made a return trip with a friend and the avocado toast was delicious! So much flavor, lots to eat, and almost too beautiful to eat!!! You’ve got to get here and try them out!!!

We came here on Mother's day. A reservation was needed as it started to get busy around 5pm. The happy hour habanero margarita was fire. The tacos were ok. Shrimp is the best. I could have done without the margarita flight. Too much sugar. There is a lot of street parking in Sheridan st. Service was friendly.

Went to Margarita's for dinner on a Saturday night. There was a fair amount of people, and we got seated right away. The atmosphere was chill, relaxed, and fun. The food and drinks were alright. I would say 3.5 stars. The portion size wasn't as much as other Mexican restaurants and taste was average. However, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Good place for a date night or to meet up with friends!

I’ve been here a few times already. It’s a convenient location because it’s close to Walmart. They recently changed their menus and we were there for a good Taco Tuesday special, but ended up getting a few different things because they didn’t have the same special anymore. —Taco Tuesday special is $1 Off tacos—. We were greeted and seated without a wait, but this place does get busy in the evening. We got the chips & salsa, steak quesadilla, Birria Chipotle Chicken Tacos +$5 Spanish rice & beans, and Nachos. If you’re going to order chips and salsa you might wanna try the nachos instead. It’s a big portion and perfect for sharing! The Spanish rice was not very flavorful and I didn’t like it but the beans were okay.cI liked the amount of cheese inside the Birria Chipotle Chicken Tacos, but I prefer beef. I did really like the chips and salsa and nachos so I recommend those! There’s no ac, kind of like an open air seating with fans. We walked, but there’s valet parking available or parking at Walmart across the street.

Happy hour is all day on Tuesdays and 3-6 pm every other day! I highly recommend coming on Tuesdays. Our favorite from the flight was the dragon fruit. The nachos were the best and ask for the picked jalapeños because they are sweet and hot. The birria tacos were insane. I wanted to drink the consume!

Came Sunday afternoon best timing no waiting First order of Nachos with some melt cheese and birrria and jalapenos awesome. Got some beef enchiladas, and fish, shrimp and belly pork tacos. I would come back. Food is good, price is reasonable for the area and Hawaii, taste is good. Atmosphere of the place pretty Latin. Waitress on spot.

This is the second time coming here having given it some time to iron out the issues. We were totally impressed and came here for drinks on a Saturday evening. The space is bigger than when we first went in years ago. Service was great and attentive. The drinks were good and well prepared with just the right amount of alcohol. The food was tasty. It was nice to see that the restaurant had many patrons to keep them afloat. We will definitely be coming back to try other items.

Now there’s no way anyone in Hawaii can match the fresh made to order “Guacamole” here!!! The freshness changes everything and is what made it “5 stars” Great restaurant location is close to Ala moana shopping center. Coming from San Diego Ca we know Mexican and this restaurant is top shelf!!!

It was okay, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The server was super nice, the food was meh/ok. No salt&pepper on the tables, no butter on the toast, had to ask for both. By the time we caught the wait staff attention to get butter for pancakes and toast and salt & pepper for the eggs both were cold. Trying to spread cold butter on cold toast is always frustrating. The waffle fries came out fresh but also unsalted. They were super nice answering questions about shellfish allergy and safe menu options and made sure the kitchen was aware.

Dropped in for a birthday brunch. Service was amazing and went with the chocolate espresso french toast and my husband went with the smoked salmon eggs benedict. Every element of the dishes were impeccable, from the French toast bread to the rich custard cream, each ingredient was well done, bringing the dish together for an indulgent entree. Husband loved the lilikoi dressing for his green salad and practically licked his plate clean. They offered for us take a coffee to go which was a nice touch to the end of our breakfast. 10/10; will return 100%.

Today I got to try their pork belly bowl and it was great. The seasoning was just perfect. Moreover, the friendly and efficient service made everything better.

Overall good experience! Food was good, service was great, nice and lively ambiance. I love how they can do smaller portion on a lot of items for half the price, making it easier to sample more items off the menu! Husband and I came here for brunch on a Sunday, and we ordered couple items to try for our first time. Egg benny is my jam, and I just always end up judging a new spot by their egg benny... so we got their real crab egg benny, chocolate banana French toast (small), real crab omelette and a crème brûlée latte. The benny eggs were cooked perfectly. The crab cake was made of real crab but something about the taste and the texture being a little off. Not sure what that was. What I didn't like was the bread at the bottom. I'm not a fan of sourdough. And the bread wasn't incorporated into the whole dish. It's like eggs with sauce and crab cake sitting on top of 3 pieces of French sourdough bread. I don't know. It's just a little strange to me. I ended up eating everything on the plate except the bread. The French toast was thoroughly enjoyed by my husband who always has a sweet tooth for breakfast. But strangely he also ordered the real crab omelette. I think he ordered that for me perhaps because I mentioned I wanted to try it too. :-P so I did try it, and I gotta say it tasted pretty good. (I normally don't order omelette coz I can make a pretty good one myself at home.) I liked the cheese they put on top! Also loved their criss cut fries. So good. (Extra $3.50) The chocolate banana French toast thing was devoured in less than 5 mins. It's savory and sweet at the same time. Hubby said he should've ordered the full portion haha! Their Vietnamese coffee was a bit too sweet and just didn't taste right. Not a fan. Finally, the item I enjoyed the most was actually the tiramisu latte. I normally don't drink coffee, but I just felt like getting one that day, and this one that I tried was goooood. Well-balanced flavor with tiramisu that I could taste. Service was great. Very friendly server and she also offered as pepper, hot sauce, etc. normally I always have to flag someone down for it. The value was meh. We ended up spending $100 for 2 people for breakfast and nothing I had was extraordinary. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good, but I'm just not sure if it's worth dropping $50 pp for it b There's a waitlist you can join by scanning the QR code at the door. Plenty of parking in the lot - same lot as ahi & vegetables in kalihi. Is it worth the wait? It depends who you ask! Our wait was 35 minute long for 2 people. There's an Asian supermarket behind the block to kill time, I suppose.

We went in after waiting for about 15 minutes, and overall, the food was quite sweet for my taste.

Service was good. Went on a Thursday at 11am and there was no wait which was nice. Tried to go on a Wednesday morning at 11am and there was a 15 minute wait. I got the California eggs Benedict and it was very good! My boyfriend got the shrimp and bacon omelette. Had a LOT of celery and onions in it. Fell apart anytime you tried to cut into it. He said it was a little overwhelming and couldn’t taste much of the egg. We also got their waffle fries, which were 10/10! Loved them. Would suggest going, but it is a bit pricey. Our meal total was $53 for 2 entrees and a side, without any drinks.

Even though I was alone, I had a really great time in Waikiki. One of the best parts was trying local food, and this plate from Kono’s Northshore really made my day. The kalua pig was so good—soft, juicy, and a little crispy on the edges. You can tell it was slow-cooked just right. It came with white rice, a fresh green salad, some dressing, and a slice of tomato. Simple but super satisfying. The place itself feels very chill, like real island style. Staff were friendly and welcoming, even if you’re by yourself. The portion was big, and the flavors were all there. I left full and happy. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in town. Mike Dalisay

The old school pulled pork sando was DELISH after my friend and i biked haha! Super yummy- probably one of the best pulled pork sandos i have had. The chips that come with it are also perfect for scooping the leftovers and are so addicting! Guava lemonade was also sooo yum and refreshing

Came here today as recommended by my husband’s friend. I got a beach sandwich & my husband got a chuns bomber (not pictured). Food was good but had to wait 25 minutes for the food & had to walk back to our hotel to eat it since there are only 3 tables to sit at

Came here for a burrito, coffee, and a pup cup and left very happy! The breakfast burritos are so good, super fresh ingredients, and even the tortilla tastes amazing. This time I also tried their iced coffee, and it’s my new favorite! It’s macadamia & vanilla roasted (not syrupy, the beans are actually flavored that way), and it’s perfection. Plus, they have FREE pup cups! My picky cats give it 2 paws up. 🐾🌯☕️

Good place for a quick bite to eat. I had the Chuns burrito bomber which was really good. ~$15 for a pretty large and filling burrito. You can order ahead before your walk down and pick it up once you get there if you don't want to wait around. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I were here on vacation 10/06 and Kono's was recommended by a friend We went by and ordered a local bomber breakfast burrito it was big enough to share and it was sooo delicious

How can you not love this place?!!! We come here often because the food here is consistently delicious and the workers have so much aloha! The menu is a delightful fusion of local flavors and fresh ingredients, and I was particularly impressed by their famous pulled pork. Açaí, Monkey, Blue Dream, I Lava You bowls were all excellent! There was only one guy working but he was super friendly and helpful despite being short staffed. Would totally recommend! Consistency and flavor were all great!

Delicious food and unique offerings. It’s in the mall, otherwise I’m sure it receives a 5 for atmosphere. The service was helpful and patient. They helped my young daughter find something she liked (they made her something off the menu). It’s expensive but, if you have the money, totally worth it.

I reallyyyyy wanted to fall in love with this spot because the staff was so nice and accommodating with the fact that their açaí is already mixed with honey so it wouldn’t be fully vegan… I chose to still try it and leave out what else I could from the bowl that wasn’t vegan/already mixed in — but the açaí mixed with dates wasn’t doing it for me; the saddest part is the hair in my açaí bowl 😭 (sorry but I must be honest) I took it out and still ate most of the bowl because I was already home at that point 😔

The design and decor of the space look very good, featuring a modern aesthetic with clean lines and tasteful accents. It’s not crowded, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I chose the papaya bowl and upgraded it with a smoothie, which was quite enjoyable. However, I expected the bowl to be larger; it turned out to be quite tiny, roughly the size of a small cereal bowl. The price was around $16-18, which I feel does not provide sufficient value given the portion size.

A Little Slice of Paradise! Hawaii Vibes I absolutely love Sunrise Shack! The vibe is unbeatable—bright, chill, and full of good energy. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. Their smoothie bowls are next level—so fresh, colorful, and delicious. I’ve tried all the bowls here, and every single one is amazing. It’s my go-to spot, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Friendly staff and short waiting time for getting the food. I ordered the tropical bowl and would 100% have it again. The only downside is that it’s located in a food court, with makes it a noisy place. But if you’re fine with noise that won’t be a problem.

Good service, super speedy! The shop is very eye catching as it has little goodies you can buy from the shop. Would definitely recommend to get your açaí fix! :)
