Haeundae Beach is a top tourist spot in Busan, boasting a 1.5km-long white sandy coastline and stunning views of the skyline. It offers optimal conditions for swimming with its shallow waters and calm waves. Throughout the year, various events and festivals take place here, including the Sunrise Festival and Sea Festival. The beach is also adorned with romantic landscape lighting along its stretch, creating a beautiful atmosphere from sunset to midnight every day.
I was lucky to visit the area during the weekday and avoid the crowds but I heard that this place will get packed with people if you come during the weekend. Still, because there weren't many people, I was able to enjoy the beach peacefully!
Kyujin K — Google review
Haeundae Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Korea. The sand is clean, the view is beautiful, and the atmosphere is lively — perfect for swimming, relaxing, or enjoying seaside festivals in Busan.
Drusilla — Google review
The cool breeze of the water was so so therapeutic. It’s such a clean, well maintained beach 🏝️ surrounded by the tall buildings of the city. There’s proper washrooms to change, water taps to clean the mud on feet 🦶 and so much facilities. Loved it ❤️❤️
Anchal G — Google review
Busan’s most iconic and Korea’s most famous beach, Haeundae Beach, features a wide, clean white sand shoreline, a refreshing sea breeze, and a dazzling city skyline in perfect harmony. During the day, Haeundae is vibrant and bustling with people enjoying various marine leisure activities such as swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding. The fine sand and shallow water make it ideal for families. Evening & Night Charm: At sunset, Haeundae’s appeal reaches its peak. The lights from the Marine City skyscrapers and the night view of Gwangan Bridge reflect on the water, creating a spectacular scene. Gunam-ro Culture Square, located behind the beach, comes alive every night with busking performances and street food, offering a lively and exciting nightlife. Must-Visit Nearby Spots: Dongbaekseom Island (동백섬): Located at the western end of the beach, this island features a beautiful walking trail that circles the area. You can see the Nurimaru APEC House (a symbol of Busan), a mermaid statue, and a lighthouse. Visiting around sunset is highly recommended. The Bay 101 (더베이 101): This marina near the entrance of Dongbaekseom Island offers breathtaking views of the Marine City skyline at night. Enjoy beer and fish and chips while experiencing one of Busan’s best photo spots. Haeundae Blue Line Park (블루라인 파크): Take the Sky Capsule or Beach Train from Mipo Station to create special memories as you travel along the beautiful coastline connecting Haeundae to Songjeong.
Dr K — Google review
We only visited Haeundae Beach for a few hours in October after visiting Haedong Yonggungsa and taking the Blueline Park train to Mipo. The Beach is nice, but I found Gwangalli Beach (where we stayed 4 nights) to be more vibrant and exciting wuth its panoramic view of Gwangan Bridge and rhe Saturday night drone light shows.
K J — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Haeundae Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Korea. It’s in Busan and is a great place to enjoy the sea and city together. • The beach is about 1.5 km long with soft sand • You can swim, sunbathe, or just relax • Many restaurants, cafes, and hotels are nearby • In summer, there are festivals and concerts • You can walk along the beach and enjoy the view • The city lights look beautiful at night
Silver C — Google review
I’m giving this beach three stars. It’s a great beach, has appropriate quantities of sand, has some smol size waves and the usual collection of beach chair and inflatable swimming objects by numerous vendors. The views are not the issue, pretty solid, beach, ocean, sand and skyrise- pretty good! The problem is the swimming, or rather the lack of it if you miss the designated and tightly patrolled time window in which swimming is considered to be acceptable. They will yell at you and they will fine you. We defiantly stood with our feet in the water and enjoyed the view.
Michael C — Google review
Haeundae Beach is one of those famous spots you have to see once. It’s clean, easy to access, and has a great boardwalk with cafés and restaurants nearby. But it can get kind of cloudy in the fall, which takes away some of the vibes. Still, the view of the ocean with the skyline behind it is beautiful, and there’s something nice about just walking along the sand with a coffee in hand. Go early morning or at sunset for the best experience.

Gwangalli Beach in Busan, South Korea is a popular destination known for its curved golden-sand shoreline and tiki umbrellas that offer stunning views of the Gwangan Bridge. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the clear waters and partake in various water sports and games. The beach also features a range of cafes and restaurants for relaxation and dining.
Gwangalli Beach is absolutely one of the must-visit destinations in Busan. Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning, this beach always leaves a lasting impression. The stunning panoramic view of Gwangandaegyo (Diamond Bridge) lit up at night is simply breathtaking — one of the most iconic scenes in Korea. During the day, the beach offers a relaxing atmosphere with soft sand and a clean, inviting shoreline. The water is calm enough for a pleasant swim, and the entire area is well-maintained. The beachside promenade is perfect for leisurely walks, cycling, or simply sitting with a coffee and watching the waves. At night, the area transforms into a lively hub with numerous cafes, restaurants, and bars offering local and international cuisine. The light shows on the bridge combined with the vibrant nightlife create an unforgettable experience. You’ll also find live street performances and an energetic vibe that makes it perfect for both solo travelers and groups. Highly recommended: Visit in the late afternoon, enjoy the sunset, and stay into the night to see the bridge illuminated. If you are in Busan, don’t miss Gwangalli Beach — it truly captures the spirit and beauty of this coastal city!
S.H. M — Google review
Nice beach with the bridge hanging on the background. I would recommend getting there at sunset and having dinner around the area. On saturday nights they do a drone show, it's short but definitely worth watching!
Javier M — Google review
Good beach with many shops and eatery along the beach. If you cant find what you look for, two more rows of street should help. Weekend provides many street performers, drone shows, musical bands, etc…
Tin N — Google review
Visit: May 2025 Beautiful, especially at night time as you have a great view of the Gwangalli bridge when it's lit up! The street is pretty lively, and there's a lot of food and cafes nearby the beach for a bite!
Daniel T — Google review
Great combination of fantastic skyline, bridge, and beach. I recommend that foreign visitors visit this place at night.
Won C — Google review
Looks great at night with the bridge lit up. Many shops along the water, a lot of coffee shops too. Not really a beach to swim at, or at least I wouldn’t. They have facilities to get change and shower too.
Rachel R — Google review
Busan was our favourite city of our 17 night South Korean Vacation and Gwangalli Beach was a major reason why. We planned our 4-night stay at an oceanfront condo apartment so we could watch the Saturday night drone light show. It was fantastic. There are two shows each Saturday night. A condo with a beach and bridge view is awesome, but you cannot go wrong just standing on the beach with the thousands of others. Even if you cannot visit on a Saturday, the night (and day) views of Gwangan Bridge plus the nightly fireworks is worth a stay There are so many places to eat, drink, sit and admire the view in Gwangalli. There is music and other activities. We visited Haeundae Beach which felt more upscale, expensive and less crowded. We preferred the vibrancy of Gwangalli.
K J — Google review
One if the best beach in Busan! It's nice and chill in the morning, with beach goers doing paddle board. Towards the evening, the bridge lights up with the words, "Busan is good" while giving updates on the temperature and so on. There are also boats that bring tourists out to let off fire works, so we get to see fire works every night!

Nature & Parks
Yongdusan Park, located in downtown Busan, is a sprawling mountain park spanning 69,000 square meters. The park boasts over 70 species of trees and is adorned with various stone statues depicting Korean heroes. One of its main attractions is the iconic Busan Tower, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Visitors can explore galleries and souvenir shops inside the tower or leave a love lock as a romantic gesture.
Yongdusan Park, with Busan Tower at its center, is a great place to learn more about Busan's history. The park features several monuments, including the impressive statue of Naval Admiral Chungmugong Yi Sun-Shin and a memorial dedicated to the Korean War, both honoring significant historical events. Another highlight is the Flower Clock, which stands out with its vibrant colors. The park has a relaxing atmosphere and is definitely worth a visit!
Simon B — Google review
It’s incredible that the entrance of this park is right in the middle of the street. 2/4 escalators didn’t work so there were quite some stairs to climb. The park is very clean, there are swing benches and even on the way there is an outdoor “gym”. At the top, you can find Busan tower.
Priyanka R — Google review
The park is quite clean and not many people were there. Escalator was functioning going up the hill where the Busan tower is. Quite high. I think it’s like 5-6 times of the escalator size in the photo. With the escalator, the journey going up wasn’t bad and took less than 10mins. Going down is just via stairs and quite fast. Lovely place up there. Took a break on the swing enjoying the humid weather and spent a little while taking photos. Once you’re up on the hill, there’s like small colourful shops selling souveniors etc. Some were closed when we were there. Spent like about half and hour or so. Great view and it was okay if you have extra time to spend in Busan.

Yongdusan Park is a lovely spot to relax in Busan. It’s peaceful with nice walking paths and great views. You can also visit the Busan Tower nearby. A great place for a quiet break!
Florian D — Google review
We visited the park quite late at night but it still feels safe. It's very easy to get there as it offers eskalators to go up
Nadia L — Google review
Super pretty! A lot of views, games and cats! The area nearby has a lot of very good restaurants and stores!
Gaby — Google review
We came here at night and it was very cold but we can still enjoy the place. Not so many people came maybe because of the cold weather, so the park was pretty quiet.
Yunita T — Google review
On 24 March, 2025, our tour guide took us here, wanting us to see some blossoms. We went up by using the narrow escalator, and walked down via a road rather than the stacks of steps. Otherwise, the feeling wouldn’t be fine, as there was not much to see at the Park.

Taejongdae Resort Park in Busan is a stunning clifftop park area that offers breathtaking views of the sea. The park features an observatory, a lighthouse, and even a train ride for visitors to enjoy. It is located on Yeongdo Island and boasts dense evergreen woodland and rocky coasts with cliffs and caves.
Stunning coastal views, especially from the lighthouse and observation decks. The walking paths through lush greenery are peaceful, and the cliffs provide breathtaking scenery. The Danubi train is a great option if you prefer a more leisurely tour. A must-visit in Busan!
Zwe H — Google review
Taejongdae is an iconic park in Busan. It took me ~2hrs to walk finish the mountain, including visiting some of the landmarks like the observatory and lighthouse. It's a relatively easy hike - it's a sloped ground with many water fountain and benches for you to rest. Some landmarks might be more challenging such as the lighthouse as there are many stairs. Overall, it's quite safe and simple to walk around the park. The views are quite nice - you can see the ocean from several spots at the park. Sinseon rock has been closed due to rocks falling. There's also a train that can bring you to various checkpoints around the park if you don't want to walk too much. I didn't take the train so I can't comment too much about it. The observatory has a cat, and a stall that sells snacks for the kitty 🐱
L Y — Google review
You can enjoy great ocean view along the trial ! If you enjoy hiking/long walks you should definitely walk There is Bus you can take around the park ! I recommend to ride the bus! and the bus is called 다누비열차(the last photo I posted)

Taejongdae is a stunning natural park in Busan, South Korea, known for its dramatic cliffs, ocean views, and lush forests. It offers a peaceful escape with breathtaking scenery, especially from the lighthouse and observatory. Perfect for nature lovers and photographers!
NoNeed T — Google review
Taejongdae Resort Park is a must-visit when in Busan! The hiking trails, observation deck, and lighthouse offer breathtaking views of the sea that make any trip memorable. At the observation deck, there's a convenient restaurant and store where I enjoyed some ice cream and a refreshing drink—a nice touch to a day of exploring. There are also plenty of friendly stray cats around, which is a bonus for cat lovers. Although the temple was somewhat underwhelming, everything else more than made up for it. The climb to the lighthouse is a bit steep and narrow, especially with two-way traffic, but the panoramic view at the top is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Busan's coastline!
Sarah M — Google review
Great place with lots to see! The train takes you around the park and there are many landmarks and points of interest along the route. Toilets are everywhere and there are also cafes and shops along the route. I enjoyed the view over the water from the observatory and the lighthouse. Tickets cost a couple of thousand won each for the train and I think the parking had a small fee also. Probably best to visit in the summer, though even when I visited in winter it was a nice experience.
Ben A — Google review
It's a great quiet place to visit! Beautiful nature, number of awesome spots for taking pictures, Buddhist temples-Taejongdae has it all. However, if you go during summer, make sure to take water and panama hats/caps with you as the road up the hill is steep and long!

Observation Decks & Towers
Busan Tower, located in Yongdusan Park at the heart of the city, stands at 118 meters tall and boasts an observation deck and a café. From this vantage point, visitors can take in sweeping views of Nampo-dong, Busan's old downtown area, and the entire North Port region. The tower also offers special light displays during the Starry Night Fiesta from July to October on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
Beautiful view from the top of Busan tower. The whole building is not big but they have a little game for you to play when you are going through the viewing platform and the gift shop. The you get a little history about the building when you complete the challenge and get some bookmarks. I like it ☺️ There are rooms for photos before you finish the tower visit. The way up and down to the tower is very pretty with lots of different light tunnels. Definitely a great spot when you are in the area. Also close to the market for food before or after!
Penny G — Google review
Great views of the city, we went at night instead of the day which I think is absolutely the better option. Entry is affordable, I think it was about 10,000w each but I may be wrong. Only giving it 4/5 and not 5/5 because the "fireworks" show is projected onto the glass windows which are quite textured and not the clearest. Especially if you want to take really good pictures. Other than that the staff are really friendly and theres cafes and food places if you want them. Would recommend!
Alex W — Google review
Busan Tower is a very interesting place to visit. You can take the escalator partway up for free, which makes it easily accessible. Along the way, there are beautiful art pieces and illustrations that keep the walk from feeling boring. Once inside, you go up to the top floor and explore each level as you come down, with different themes on each floor — the layout is very well-designed. There are several spots in the tower with great views, and photo spots are clearly marked for visitors’ convenience, making it easy to take great pictures. There’s also a quiz included with the admission ticket, and you can find the answers throughout the tower. I enjoyed receiving a small souvenir for completing it.

Spent way too much time here, but hey, it was worth it. Clear day and the views were wonderful! Tons of photos ops on several levels. Busan is so picturesque! Of course, the tower views would enhance the view. Below the tower is a wonderful park with bell, statue, and flower clock, not to he missed.
Debbie F — Google review
Busan Tower is such a nice place! You can play some fun games throughout the visit, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. In addition, you have an amazing view of all of Busan from the top. It’s a great spot to relax, take photos, and see the city from above. Worth a visit if you’re in Busan!
Florian D — Google review
Mix of great views and gimmicky photo-op setups on lower floors. The scavenger QR hunt with a prize was a nice touch (if you miss any digits accidentally, it’s the date of tower completion). We came before sunset to also see the city lights after dark (obvious protip for doubling up on the breathtaking views). However it was frustrating to learn that you cannot go back up to the observation platform once you go down from T4 to T2. There’s no signage about it, so keep that in mind. Overall it’s worth it if you have a Visit Busan Pass or you like to see cities from up above. Bonus attractions in the park are all the local cats lounging around. They even make souvenirs with their pics.

Beautiful renovation from a military base area to a peaceful park full of beauty and plants. We enjoyed going to see it nearly empty and citizens pruning the park and returning on a busy day watching children on the faux beach, people picnicking and everyone just enjoying the beauty of this park.

Excellent place to hangout with family and friends. A place to take rest with your dear one. Walk around the park and enjoy different themes. A vast area with clean rest rooms. You can see colorful fishes there with a little modern village feelings. A sand area perfect to get busy to your toddlers. There are cafeteria and convenient store too. If you have kids with you then find the kids play area. Need to say more but not enough to write. So please visit the park and I know you want to go again and again

Situated on Seungdumal, the Oryukdo Skywalk is a free-admission cantilever walkway that offers breathtaking views of the sea and Oryukdo Island. This horseshoe-shaped bridge extends over a 35-meter high coastal cliff, providing visitors with an exhilarating experience as they walk on its glass floor and gaze at the ocean waves crashing both in the distance and beneath their feet.
Stunning views of the city and the sea. I think it’s just as worth doing as the cable car, and also cheaper than the cable car at $1 AUD per entry. Kind of a steep hill to climb to get to it, however they’ve recently installed a lift to get you halfway up the hill faster.
Rachel R — Google review
A little edge walked out above the sea and rock cliff. No entrance fees but there are a bit of wait if the Skywalk is busy as they don't want it to be too crowded on the glass walk. You require to wear shoes cover to keep the glass clean. Lovely view of the harbour, islands, and hiking trails close by.
Penny G — Google review
The skywalk is free. I love coming here and seeing the 5 islands that used to be connected then take an easy walk down to the parking lot to buy fresh seafood from the haenyeos or eat ramen from the stand. Please support the local haenyeos. You can also take a ferry to see another view of the 5 islands. It’s a taste of real local busan.
CC — Google review
Oryukdo Skywalk is worth visiting…. It’s a glass skywalk overhanging Sea of Japan (South Sea and East Sea meets here). Please take note of timings. On the sides of this bridge, you can find few spots to take beautiful pictures of nearby tiny islands.
NARESH J — Google review
It’s a cool place and not scary at all! You only need about 40 minutes to explore the whole area. Go have fun!
Sain — Google review
The glass viewing platform positioned in a cliff would have been a thrilling walk and adventure. But given the weather is not good, we were not able to enter the Skywalk. So check the weather before trying to visit here. If its raining hard and too windy, most likely they will close the area. I guess it was not meant to be. We did visit the trail to the sea which is just next to it.
DanAGo — Google review
A great place to come enjoy the sea breeze and the sun. There’s also trails to take on. Skywalk is short and is free

Seokbulsa is a serene Buddhist temple nestled in the mountains of Busan, offering a unique hiking experience and stunning relief carvings on the cliff walls. Located in Geumgang Park in Buk-gu, reaching the temple involves taking a scenic cable car ride followed by a picturesque hike through evergreen woodlands via the South Gate of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress. The journey itself is an adventure, with the cable car providing breathtaking views of Busan amidst lush greenery.
A beautiful place. Easy to get to by taxi. We walked down to the bus. On the way from the temple, you can buy cold drinks and use the restroom. There's a cool gym complex right under the temple.

This temple is worth visiting. I have been deeply impressed by the structure of the Buddha on the stones. I was very relaxed to pay a visit to this temple. I wish I could have another chance to come to this temple and silently read the mantra of the Buhhda of Medicine on the ground.
Minh L — Google review
It's not worth the strenuous climb of about 1.5 km to get there. The stone carvings are nice, but the temple itself is very small and, in my opinion, doesn't even begin to compare in beauty to the Buddhist temples you can visit in Kyoto and the rest of Japan. Even the trail to get there, although it passes through a forest, isn't at all a nature experience, given the presence of paved roads, public restrooms, vending machines, and fitness areas. Furthermore, the trail entrance has a fair amount of abandoned garbage.
David R — Google review
This was my favourite temple in Korea. Liked it more than Bulguksa or Haedong Yonggung, Bongeunsa or Jogyesa. You can easily get by taxi but I liked the route via the Geumsang cable car. A pretty forest hike. Quite easy following the signs to South Gate (and if you want, the Observatory and Watch Tower #2), and then go down all the way to the road that leads up to this gorgeous temple. It is not an easy climb up but worth it for sure. The place was empty when I visited, which made it even more magical. Just gorgeous carving in the rock, and the temple itself is beautiful. The view is outstanding and you can even feed the friendly crows if you feel like it. Highly recommend.
Alon D — Google review
One of the highlands of our visit to Busan and it was on my list of places to visit. Highly recommend, probably the most unique Buddhist temple we saw and we visited quite a few in Asia.
G B — Google review
Hidden between the trees on the top of a mountain outside of the center of Busan, this calm, pastoral temple different than any temple I've seen. The hike up there took quite a while (around 1 hour hike) and was a bit steep, but we chose to go on cold weather, which turned out to be a good choice hike-wise. However, the view from up there must be incredible when the visibility is better. The ancient statues facing the cliff must be at least 10 meters tall, are all craved by man, and are guarding a small shrine that is located on top of them.
Omer K — Google review
Be ready for long climb for 1.4km. Nice and quiet place
Misil J — Google review
Beautiful temple with amazing relief carvings on the cliff walls. The temple is somehow difficult to access, but worth the visit. The entrance is free, and no fee is required. I stayed ther 30 or 40 min, more than enough (relatively small temple). To get there, you can either take the subway to Mandeok station and then walk the way up for around 30 to 40 min depending on your physical condition. Another option could be to take a taxi up to the parking lot and then walk for 3 to 5 min up to the entrance.

APEC Naru Park in Busan, South Korea is a haven for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The park offers stunning natural beauty with lush greenery, aromatic flowers, and cherry blossoms. Visitors can enjoy peaceful walks while taking in the unspoiled views of Haeundae Beach and the Gwangan Bridge. The park features a running track and biking road, making it perfect for outdoor activities during summer.
A long narrow park opposite Shinsegae Department Store and BIFF Cinema Center. It's also beside a river so it feels like as if you've left the city when you didn't. It's a great chill and relaxing place since there aren't usually a lot of people here; you can do cycling and jogging.

This is one of my favorite park in Busan. Nice to visit all your round. I enjoy the running track and biking road here in the summer. For a chill out weekend, nice to do a picnic here with lots of benches to sit and umbrella to give you some shade from the sun. Beautiful place to watch the sunset. So lovely in the Spring filled with cherry blossoms. Also beautiful foliage in the autumn as well. In the winter, I enjoy walking here to watch the small illumination at night. This is a very nice park and walking path along Suyeong River. This park always holds a special place in my heart because it truly makes me fall in love with Busan outdoor activities.

Once a military path, it now attracts nature lovers seeking relaxation and panoramic vistas. Pedestrian bridges traverse the dense trees along the seaside trail, making it a favored spot for winter hikes.
It was beautiful. I went on a weekend and it was t too crowded. Many beautiful views and photo opportunities. You will climb many steps in the trails so expect a good workout and you will get some cardio workout.

Make sure you have plenty of water on you and enjoy the stunning views along the Coastal Walk! It'll take you around 2+hours, and you'll climb approximately 79 floors. A great workout for sure!

I don’t know why this hike isn’t on every top ten things to do in Busan! It’s incredibly gorgeous and peaceful and one of the best parts is greeting the lovely people you see on the trail. 안녕하세요! It does take a few hours and there are a lot of steps but you can take your time and enjoy lunch and snacks and small breaks at one of the many lookout points with benches. It also takes you all the way to the Oryukdo Skywalk, which is a wonderful experience, and where you can catch a direct bus to Jagalchi fish market, BIFF square, Gukje market, and Nampo-dong shopping area. The perfect day!

Nice coastal walk but can be quite challenging for those who do not exercise or do hikes on a regular basis. Lots of steps up and down.

It's a really nice walk with stunning views of the city and ocean. Could be windy but depends on the day. Love the bridges and a few more challenging parts of the trail. A great option for Busan visitors.
Alex B — Google review
It's a great hike if you're up for a challenge. You can walk about 2 miles to the other end, but it's full of up and down climbs, most of which is with actual steps, but a decent chunk on rocks. You get to enjoy fantastic views and the beauty of the coastline. It's amazing how clear the water is. Don't forget to bring water to drink because you'll need to start hydrated because of the steps.

Cemetery
The UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea is a solemn and expansive tribute to the soldiers from 16 different countries who lost their lives during the Korean War. The cemetery features various national monuments, including those dedicated to Turkey, Greece, Australia, and the British Commonwealth. Additionally, it includes a Memorial Service Hall and Memorabilia Hall. This site serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by UN soldiers during this historic conflict.
A must see in Busan. The guards greet you with a friendly bow when you enter and you can smell the lush scent of pine upon entry. The first thing you notice is the carefully manicured trees. They cut in a Korean style and give the cemetery an aura of sacredness. You can enjoy getting lost in the many trails and gaze at the impressive vistas of Busan many hills. There’s some museums and galleries you can learn about the war and the gravestones are beautiful and serene. You really sense this place is well taken care of. It’s a needed respite from the bustling street and traffic just a few meters away. It’s so quiet and peaceful inside. No wonder this place is a top rated destination in Busan on Google maps, you won’t be disappointed!
Britz M — Google review
This is a must-see location if you have any interest in the Korean War or South Korean history in general. The park itself is very well maintained and lots of information about the conflict can be found there. It was very sombre to see all the international graves and memorials, but a good experience.
Martin B — Google review
Very peaceful and well maintained memorial place. The staff at the memorial hall where the introduction video is displayed could say thank you in Turkish. They played the video in Turkish for us as well. We spent between 1-2 hours here. I’d recommend visiting this place especially if you’re from one of the 17 countries who joined the Korean war.
Ece K — Google review
This museum reminds us of the tremendous sacrifice UN forces made in freeing South Korea during the Korean War. The changing of the guard is definitely worth seeing if the weather is good. The cemetery is so well kept. It is manicured and demonstrates the huge value the South Koreans still place on the ultimate sacrifice that so many UN soldiers made.
Hayes W — Google review
The UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea is an absolute must-visit when in Busan. It’s a deeply meaningful place that reminds us of the importance of honoring history and remembering those who sacrificed their lives. The atmosphere is calm and moving, creating a space for quiet reflection. Beyond its beauty, it holds great historical and intellectual value, walking through the grounds really makes you think about the past and the price of peace. A truly special and important site.

Second time here and visiting one of the father in laws mate who was killed in action in 1950 an Aussie. The gardens are lovely and very peaceful. Flag raising and pulling down are good to see at 10am and 4pm.. well worth a mooch around.
Kay F — Google review
A must visit when you’re in the region of Busan. It’s nice to see this memorial built by a country that is grateful for the help it has received from several nations and the sacrifice made by the men that found their eternal peace on the battlefield during the Korean Conflict! When visiting the place it’s requested to keep an atmosphere of silence and respect. So don’t be like some of the locals who think it’s cool to be loud or play soccer inside the memorial/cemetery. As a former soldier and still serving peace keeper I absolutely can’t stand this type of disrespect. Remember that this place is free of charge to visit, no tickets required! Parking is a bit difficult in the area unless you find a paid parking lot. This memorial is 100% wheelchair accessible!
Gerry G — Google review
Definitely worth visiting even if you are not a history buff. Learn the stories of young brave soldiers around the world sacrificing their lives to defend the free world. People still remember and honor them. A solemn and beautiful place. A short video is shown to introduce the history and the place.

The Busan Museum, established in 1978, is a treasure trove of relics and artifacts that showcase the rich history and culture of the city. With three floors of exhibits and outdoor monuments, visitors can explore the city's heritage from prehistoric times to the present day. The museum houses a diverse collection distributed across seven exhibition rooms, including Buddhist statues and pagodas at the Outdoor Exhibition Stall.
Busan has a rich history and played an important role during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953. The museum is designed well and worth visiting to learn the history of Busan and Korea in general.

It is located near UN Park and it is free. It always close on Monday. The collection inside is mostly about how Busan was in the past. It is a good place to visit with your friends and family. Gimhae International Airport, which has been serving the Basan area since 1976, provides a convenient travel experience for visitors. The airport offers a variety of dining options and direct rail service, making it easily accessible by light rail connection. Travelers can reach Sasang Station in under 10 minutes via the light rail, providing seamless access to the subway line and Inter-city Seobu Bus Station. Clear directions and signage within the airport ensure smooth navigation for visitors.
On 21 March, 2025, our party of eight arrived here direct from Hong Kong. On passport control, waiting time was reasonable, and there was no need to show the e-confirmation of preregistration of the person. Green customs channel was friendly. On 27 March, 2025, our party of six returned (two members left earlier). Before checking in, we first went to the loss and found to pick up a lost smartphone of one member who left earlier; then, we did the tax refund registration at an e-kiosk. After checking in and while passing through security clearance, two bags of kimchi couldn’t be carried on board and we surrendered them. After security clearance, we went to a tax refund counter to get cash refund (in won, yen or US$) and then used some of the refund to buy kimchi again at Lotte Duty Free. We’re content.

Pretty crazy that an international airport in a first world country, like South Korea is only open for set times. definitely a first for me, My spouse and others had to sleep or wait outside the airport with mosquitoes. Especially for tourist who have certain allocated checkout times. Seen better in 3rd world countries.
Henry D — Google review
I was genuinely surprised and disappointed by the experience at Busan’s Gimhae International Airport. The lines were extremely long and moved painfully slowly — from check-in to security to immigration. The entire process felt disorganized and inefficient, and it took far longer than it should have. For a country as developed and technologically advanced as South Korea, this level of service is far below expectations. There was little communication or guidance, and the lack of staff only made things worse. Travelers were visibly stressed and confused, and there didn’t seem to be any urgency to improve the flow. I sincerely suggest the airport authorities look to countries like Singapore as a benchmark. Despite handling a much larger volume of passengers, Singapore’s Changi Airport operates with such speed and efficiency that you almost never have to wait in line. It’s a world-class example that Gimhae Airport could learn a lot from. Busan deserves a better international gateway, one that truly reflects the modernity and efficiency South Korea is known for.
Brian D — Google review
The place is clean and well organized except for the immigration, they took very long time and only let Korean people go first. Foreigner line was at least 1 hr waiting. Please improve this issue.
AMPatGie — Google review
This is a far below normal standard airport. Upon arrival of three flights in the morning, there is only one single immigration counter open for foreign passports. Korean passports using the e-gates still enjoy another three manual counters for pretty much no crowd. End up waiting 1.5 hours for 30 pay ahead of me to be cleared. Plus point though, the airport is clean.
House M — Google review
Relatively small airport with one large duty free shop. There are several lounges, and it is clean. The gates are easy to find and there are lots of seats. One negative thing is that the security line requirements are a bit misleading. They told us we need to hand carry our battery packs, but they didn’t check that at security. Not sure what we were supposed to do, but it was fine.
Kat — Google review
For a modern country welcoming tourists, the first impression is arrivals at the airport. I was greeted with an immigration line of 1 hour and 15 mins. This delay caused me to reschedule my itinerary. Come on Busan, you can do better!!!
SJ P — Google review
It was chaotic at the international terminal! Our flight was at 10am, we arrived at 7.30am, completed check in with boarding passes were ready at 7.45am. And then the chaos was started! All passengers needed to go through the pre-security-check, meaning the staff checked and scan boarding pass and passport. Thousands of passengers tried to secure a place in the long and disorganized lines, just to sneak into 4 gates.

Fantastic views. Highly recommended and right up there in the things to do when in Busan. During the initial (uphill ride) the cable cars are filled with 6 people which is ok, it’s definitely plenty of room and comfort. On the way back however they give you the option to be in the car in twos which is really nice for couple making the downhill ride quite romantic. I am not normally a cable car guy but this is really well organized and a lot of fun. If you can try and get the crystal ride which offered a see through floor giving you even better views of what’s underneath.

The Busan Museum of Art is a spacious and modern venue that showcases contemporary art, a children's museum, and a sculpture garden. The museum also plays a crucial role in preserving the traditional culture of the city by housing relics obtained through excavation efforts and private donations. With seven exhibition rooms spread across three floors, visitors can explore artifacts dating back to the prehistoric era.
It was a good experience to look around the art museum. They regularly change their theme, so it has many various paintings to enjoy. The entree fee was free, so you just need to select the tickets from the machine.

It is an ample space that could have so much more than one or two themes at once. An entire floor was not even used. Otherwise, it was very nice.

The Museum was quiet, and had a serene feel to it. If you want to take your time and focus on the artworks, however, I don't suggest you stay outside. Instead, you can explore the interior exhibition where, if you do not run into anyone intruding on you, you can quietly explore on your own.

English website is quite confusing. The words are English but meaning isn't which is difficult since you need to pre-book timed tickets for exhibits on different floors. One staff person gave me a ticket and said to wait for two hours on benches in the lobby but another gave me an immediate timed ticket to the second floor exhibit. Thank you! The art was from Korean collectors. Cafeteria hits included maple cream cheese waffles and vanilla latte coffee.
Jan R — Google review
Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in history and art. The free exhibition is worth a visit already. Closed on Mondays (take note of that!). Would rate it a 5 if there were English translations on all of the exhibits, but having most of it translated to English is good enough for me. Time passes really fast here so do allocate enough time to visit here.
Wei C — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. The free exhibition offers a great view into Busan's local socio-economic history. However, the free exhibition seems to be a little more focused on history than to better shed light on the evolution of artistic sensibilities, aesthetics, philosophy and style of the various pieces. More could be done to also shed light on the artistic traditions from which the featured artists drew their inspiration/training from. Still, it's worth spending an hour or so checking it out.
Chun T — Google review
I visited the museum on the last day of the Time and Repetition exhibition. It’s a short walk from exit 5/7 of BEXCO station, and opposite BEXCO as well as a stone’s throw away from CENTUM City, which houses Korea’s largest shopping complex. The museum itself is free entrance but specifically exhibitions require ticketing. There are both indoor and outdoor exhibitions. It’s a great place to spend a few hours to learn about modern art.

The Trick Eye Museum in Busan is a one-of-a-kind attraction featuring large-scale, touchable illusionistic art that provides plenty of photo opportunities. Visitors can immerse themselves in the art using an optical technique called trompe l'oeil, which creates the illusion of 3D objects within the artwork. Unlike traditional museums, this family-friendly venue allows guests to interact with and become part of the exhibits, resulting in entertaining and humorous photo ops.
Learning about the history of film and movies in Korea was super cool! There are many photo opportunities as well as some really fun interactive games to complete that shows how films are made. You can also save the photos and videos of these games for free directly unto your device.

Jangsan Mountain offers an incredible hiking experience right in the heart of Busan. The trails are well-marked and cater to various skill levels, making it accessible for everyone. The panoramic views from the summit are breathtaking, showcasing the beauty of Busan’s coastline and cityscape. Along the way, we noticed a physical park equipped with exercise stations where people can work out as they climb up the mountain. I love these free exercise areas—they allow you to keep active throughout the hike. We also saw a Buddhist temple on the hike up, which was cool to stop by and added to the cultural experience. The blend of natural scenery with historical elements, like the old military bunkers, adds a unique touch. The hike was invigorating, and the serenity at the top made it all worthwhile. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Busan!

Haeundae in Busan offers many lovely walking trails that blend mountains and the sea. However, on a nice day, climbing a higher mountain like Jangsan rewards you with a spectacular panoramic view of Busan. Just a tip: once you reach the very top of Jangsan, you'll find it's a military area, so there are utility poles and fences that can obstruct the scenery. Instead of the summit, I recommend heading to the observation deck on the south side to fully appreciate the breathtaking vista.
KEVIN — Google review
Easy climb but also easy to get lost, or feel that you're lost since some of the trails aren't well-marked. I've gone here thrice and one is a solo climb which I was able to do in less than three hours from the trailhead. I suggest to allot more time so you can enjoy the view up there since this is a great place to see Busan skyline. It's really a beautiful up there. If you're not into mountain climbing then there's a temple and exercise areas just before the ascend.
Tin G — Google review
The hike itself is great and feels peaceful but the summit is closed so no views at the the top. Tho there is an outcrop rock close the summit that offers them.
RV — Google review
This mountain exists in almost every memory of me. It's because I've been around for all my life, but basically because this mountain is a good mountain. It is easy to climbing but easy to lost too. And There a famous Korean monster, Jangsanbum, lived here but he is disappeared now. Maybe the goverment officials of Haeundae are taking care of him now.

The paek is only open from 10:00 am to 3:00pm. we got lost on our way up, direction is not really clear.. the first thing you have to point is the silver grass (억새발), then you'll find the way to the summit.

Lots of great trails and an amazing view from the top. Unfortunately the very top is fenced off so you don't get the satisfaction of reaching peak.

Samjung The Park Zoo is a safari-themed zoo located in Busan, offering a diverse collection of mammals and fish, including lions, camels, tigers, and even dogs mixed with wolves. It's a great place to visit with family, especially for kids who will enjoy the obstacle course and playground. The park is well-maintained and provides an opportunity to learn about different animal species.
An amazing place with a huge collection of animals. The place is quite big, would at least take 1hours and 30 minutes to finish. So make sure to keep enough time in your hands. Also it is very easy to find the park, just on the street. Must visit, specially if you have kids!
Ayesha M — Google review
A lot of different animals to look at. However, overall the animal pens are dirty and in disrepair. Several of the animals seemed to be in distress as well, and overall the zoo was not terribly clean. We did visit towards the end of the day most shops were already closed. There are lots of hills - plan to walk alot. On the plus side, did have a good play area for kids.

Kids loved it. Not as big or fancy as some but good selection of animals. Clean and well taken care of. Obstacle course and playground was the best. Strange to see dogs in the zoo.

Bridge
The Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge is a thrilling add-on attraction to the Busan Air Cruise cable car experience. For a small fee, visitors can walk across this short suspension bridge that offers breathtaking views of Songdo, Amnam Park Coastal trail, the cable cars, and Songdo Beach. The bridge connects Amnan Park with Dongseom Island and provides stunning vistas of the Busan AirCruise, high-rise buildings, and the beautiful coastline.
One of the Highlights of My Trip to Busan! The Songdo Yonggung Cloud Bridge was one of the most memorable spots during my Busan trip. Walking across the 127-meter-long, 2-meter-wide bridge suspended over the ocean felt thrilling—like strolling above the sea itself. The views of the rugged cliffs and endless blue water were absolutely breathtaking. On a clear day, the sky and sea blend beautifully, making it a perfect place for photos. Affordable and Worth It Admission is just 1,000 KRW for adults, which is very reasonable. If you combine the visit with nearby photo zones and the Songdo Marine Cable Car, it’s well worth your time. That said, the ticket booth felt quite cramped—it might be a good idea to expand the space for the comfort of the staff working inside. Scenic Walk with Surprises The path from the bridge entrance toward the cable car station is lined with unique sculptures and observation decks, so there’s always something interesting to see. It never felt boring. If it had been a flat walk, we might’ve gotten tired, but walking with my wife through this scenic route was joyful and energizing. It’s a memory we’ll cherish. Highly Recommended by WalkintoKorea’s City in Sight This spot is not only fun to explore but also fantastic for photography. Don’t miss it if you’re in Busan!
Daehoon K — Google review
Nice place and perfect view. Cable car 🚠 is favourite choice for seeing the whole view

I visited the Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge after taking the Songdo Marine Cable Car, and it was absolutely worth the trip! The bridge connects to a small island-like area, and although there’s a small entrance fee of around 1,000 KRW, the view you get in return is stunning. Walking across the bridge while surrounded by the ocean and looking back at the Busan coastline was such a memorable experience. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy the sea breeze and take some great photos, definitely worth visiting! Only thing I didn’t like though, you are not allowed to use the selfie stick. :)
Sean W — Google review
We visited the Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge after riding over on the cable car. KRW1000 is cheap fun with nice views. A strong warm breeze caused slight swaying of the bridge. After the bridge, you can walk down a few minutes to take the free Yonggung Oreumgil elevator to go down to sea level and access the Amnam Park cliff walk, which was closed for construction during our visit.
K J — Google review
Another view of Busan City from here. Nothing special, just walk and go around before you exit the bridge. Great for social media photography. If you have a weak heart not recommended, other than it’s a good experience.
Jen — Google review
Amazing view of the coastal line and the city. Chill breeze made me spend some more time there. Not very crowded. The walk was a bit scary in the beginning but then it went just fine. The bridge is very stable and dont feel it move.
Rishad A — Google review
👍: -Rather nice views of the Busan beach line from here. 👎: -Frankly it's just like any other suspension bridge, only that this one offers really nice views of the beach line. -Be advised that it does take quite a hike up from the carpark. It takes around 15 mins to hike. The hike up the hills are lightly steep. however, it is not advised for people with mobility issues to attempt.
SL W — Google review
Koreans know how to take advantage of their country's prominent features to promote tourism! This bridge, in addition to making the landscape even more incredible, represents a beautiful work of engineering art! You need to come and see the place if you are visiting Songdo. I suggest that you choose to come by cable car, as the main access is a ramp that can be difficult for the elderly. The view is incredible so bring your camera. I also suggest that you come during the week, as the place gets crowded on holidays. Parking is private and there is a charge for access to the point. I recommend visiting.

Samnak Ecological Park is a stunning destination, especially during early spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The park offers various walking paths and sports fields, making it a popular choice for families. Bird enthusiasts will appreciate the bird habitats within the park, providing an opportunity to observe these beautiful creatures in their natural environment. Additionally, visitors can enjoy over 3,000 cherry blossom trees along the Nakdonggang River.
I absolutely love this place! It is the perfect spot for kids to have fun all day. If you bring your own food, you can make the most of your visit and spend the entire day enjoying the surroundings. You can rent a bicycle for 3,000 won per hour, with an additional charge of 500 won for every extra 15 minutes. This means you can enjoy at least three hours of cycling for just 7,000 won. Family cycles are also available for rent. For an even more magical experience, visit during the first week of April to enjoy the beautiful blossoms in full bloom!

I went to this place again by walking alongside the river. It was a beautiful day when colorful leaves were falling down slowly like pictures below. But it was noisy due to cars on the roads. Nov. 2018. ~~~~ This place is a riverside park in which people enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, football, yachting and kayaking etc. There are wide lawns for picnics. The best seasons to visit are spring and autumn. We can watch winter birds in reed beds.

Saw this place in Instagram so we went early morning only to feel confused because almost the entire area was a bare field. Anyhow, we just continued walking since we we're also enjoying the fresh air and the sound of the different birds that are there and then we reached the place where the pink muhly is. Enjoyed having almost the entire place by ourselves. :)) But I think there's a lot more than what we were able to see though I'd recommend people to go here during Spring when the cherry blossoms are blooming.

Nestled along the stunning Dadaepo Beach, the Sunset Fountain of Dream is a breathtaking spectacle that captivates visitors with its vibrant nighttime displays. As one of the largest fountains in the world, it offers an enchanting 30-minute show three times a week, where water jets soar up to 55 meters high, perfectly synchronized with lively music and dazzling light projections. This extraordinary fountain transforms into a magical oasis after sunset, making it a must-visit attraction in Busan.
Wow. The most impressive light fountain show I’ve ever seen. It’s a 20min show to different songs. The music and water fountain was nicely synchronized. It was totally worth waiting for.
Evelyne N — Google review
Loved it. Seems like a hidden gem in Busan. They let people play and run among the fountains after the main show. Had different musical arrangements for two different time showtimes. Would see it again!

The fountain is nothing special during the day but I'm sure it looks nice at night. The park and walking trail nearby is great! Good spot for a walk, chill on the grass or workout in the open air gim.

Currently in the autumn season so shows are at 7:30 weekdays (closed Mondays) with an extra showing at 8:30 on Weekends. It is free to watch and they put out lots of chairs for people to be able to watch. Toilets next to the fountain. At the end of the show the fountains are still going and people were running around in the fountain.
Paul T — Google review
The sunset fountain is located a minute’s walk away from Dadaepo Beach at the last stop of the subway line. It’s about an hour from Busan station or two hours away from Haeundae. The fountain itself is a magnificent sight but the surrounding area closes quite early in the evening considering the fountain show begins at 8pm. It was raining when I went there but people were already lining up around the fountain at 7.30pm. Worth a go if you’re in the area, or if you have a lot of free time.

Kidzania Busan offers a great experience for kids to try out various jobs. The staff are accommodating, even for non-Korean speaking children. One visitor's kids particularly enjoyed making salads at the salad bar. It is elaborately decorated and reasonably priced. Unlike Kidzania in Japan, there is no need to register in advance for activities, just queue up before the scheduled time. Although most activities are in Korean, they are generally easy to follow.
Great experience! My kids absolutely loved trying out all the different jobs available. My kids don't speak Korean, but the staff were very good about trying to include them in each activity....some of which needed little actual instruction. My kids' favorite activity, odd as it may sound, was making salads at the salad bar. They both had a great time and the price was quite reasonable for it being such an elaborately decorated place. I would definitely recommend Kidzania!
Michael P — Google review
Read this before going: We couldn't buy tickets in advance without a Korean number but right before Korean summer vacation we just simply walked in on a weekday. 1. Bring passports (kids) they asked to see the 3 year olds passport (so at least have an image of it) 2. Bring or wear long pants - so you can slide down the pilot airplane. They wouldn't lend us any pants so the kids walked down. 3. Wear close toed shoes - if you plan to climb up the climbing wall for explorer 4. The bank and department store opens right before the end of the sessions (2pm ish and 6pm ish) so if you want to create a bank card or shop, go at that time. 5. The department store only has items 80 and up. 6. In order to drive the Kia car, you must obtain a driver's license first. Don't just sign up for the driving, they won't let you. 7. Certain jobs cost money like making a burger and getting a driver's license and driving a kia. 8. Since you can only reserve one job and must finish the experience before reserving another, you need to cancel something before you choose another. To cancel, you can use any kiosk. Other things to note: they said outside food is prohibited but we saw plenty of locals bringing bentos. Food options inside are limited to Korean stuff that my kids won't eat. Do we went to Lotteria to make a burger for lunch. That worked out fine. The mayonnaise factory made a strange wrap that was not tasty. We have yet to try to ramen we made. Go for the full day, the adults cost the same and the kids cost just 10k more. Instead of 3pm we stayed till 7pm. Towards 7pm it was so empty that we basically just did whatever jobs we wanted again and again. I don't think there's another kidszania as easy as Busan. Before summer holidays there were barely anyone there. There was a rush around 1-3pm and people running to stations stressed me out a little but other than that everything was availalbe. Certain things only opened at 5pm like baby care and 4pm for the police. Maybe because the attendance of low? While the kids are inside you can go around and check all the availalbe times. We enjoyed doing the firefighter a lot and we loved the HD submarine one that is new. We basically did both of those 4-5 times. Don't miss the caramel popcorn, it was actually really really good. Leaving and re-entering is allowed so I even got some shopping done while the kids are inside. Basically they educate and babysit your kids for 20 minutes each session. How nice. A lot of the staff could speak some English and the kids had a blast regardless of the language barriers. Highly recommend Kidszania Busan. Staff was all wonderful as well.
Vivian S — Google review
Honestly, I was a little afraid of going here. I took my wife and mother to spa land and wanted to do something fun for the kids and I came across this place. When we got here, They said everything was in Korean and we are not fluent in Korean at all, but we took a chance anyway, and the experience blew me away. The staff were accommodating to my American kids. They were all very welcoming, very friendly and my kids had an amazing time. This is probably the most unique kids attraction that I’ve ever seen. I like the fact that it’s all about learning and interaction with the many different jobs that they may come across. It is a little bit intimidating if you don’t speak Korean, but in the end, the experience was 10 out of 10.
David Y — Google review
Great place to take your kids. Lots of things to do. On the pricier side but it's worth it to at least experience once. Expect to spend the entire day here if you want your kids to the experience everything.
Paul K — Google review
Absolutely packed to the gills with kids. Wiating for each experience was 1 hour minimum and fast passes were sold out. We arrived at 9:00, 45 minutes before gates opened but should have come earlier to assure passes. The place was clean though and they didnt hassle patrons that didnt wear mask.
Kansas2Korea B — Google review
Very similar with other Kidzania around the world with a Korean touch. Personally I think this is much better system than kidzania in Japan as you don't need to register. Just queue up before the schedule time of the "job". Location is not easy to find. Its on the smaller building. All activities are in Korean but most activities should be OK.
Dominic T — Google review
Not a good place if you don't speak Korean. Our daughter is 14, well traveled, and confident so we assumed that she'd have fun despite the language barrier. Wrong. To really participate in most of the activities you must be able to speak Korean.
Bryan H — Google review
There are variety of jobs to experience for kids with educated and frienldy staffs. But it needs waiting for 30 mins each jobs which feels waste of time although it depends on situations.

As usual in Korea the place has become overdeveloped. I came here 20 years ago and on returning was horrified to see a 4 lane motorway has been built over the top of the nature reserve!! It is one of the must see attractions in Busan. A mesmerizing ocean view in the midst of thick green trees, on the well laid stairs. We visited in the morning. The view of the Gwangalli bridge is awesome. Visit to APEC house, where world leaders gathered for a conference , was memorable. A minister/scholar from Silla Dynasty too visited thisbplace 100 years ago and unscripted his name in one of the rocks. Is it a coincidence or a planned by Govt, that the world leaders have gathered here to discuss about one world. This is an amazing park for a hike. The rail car ride is wonderful on a nice day with some great views. However, it's not always working. On those days, be prepared for a good hike uphill. But if old grandmothers can do it, so can you! There's water fountains everywhere and lots of wonderful things to see.

You can climb up the highest mountain around Busan by a vintage cable car system and observe probably the best view of the city. Near the top station an observatory place and a little buddhist hermitage is available to explore. If you want more hiking you can walk 1,2 km in the woods to reach south gate of an ancient castle. Above the cable car station there is a little restaurant with a rooftop, and a lovely lady cooks for you.

Hiking area
The Igidae Coastal Trail offers a mostly easy hike, with some rocky and strenuous sections leading to the grandson peak (Ja Bong) and stunning views from the top of Bongrae mountain. The trail features breathtaking coastal scenery, cliffs, and several outlook areas for photo opportunities. While it may be a bit crowded at times, the beautiful natural sea views make it worth exploring. Accessing the trail without a car can be challenging as there is limited public transportation available.
The views are beautiful and on a nice day you can actually see Tsushima Island (Japan). The trail runs from point to point and includes several climbs (stairs). Along the trail there are several view points/resting areas. The trail is not doable with little kids, strollers or wheelchairs. At certain points the trail gets really narrow and only one person can pass at the time. Just FYI, some of the locals aren’t that friendly towards foreigners and they think all foreigners should move out of the way for them! They keep walking side by side and they expect others to move out of the way. Pretty sad if you ask me. But walking with your elbows up in a situation like that really helps if you know what I mean! The hike is about 3.5 Km one way and it’ll take you 1.5h when walking at a faster pace. Highly recommended for the views and nature!
Gerry G — Google review
This trail is a highlight and we enjoyed walking it immensely. The only day we had available for this was excessively hot, which made it a challenge so we started at the southern end and walked North to get the steepest climbs out of the way early. Obviously carry water and consider that the 170m of elevation gain includes many many stairs. If you need to exit the trail there is a point about half way along where a short flight of 20-25 stairs leads you up to the roadway. THIS IS NOT VISIBLE ON GOOGLE MAPS. So you will need to use Naver maps and consider an app like Pocket Earth also.
Michael C — Google review
I think I’d underestimated this trail a bit. I thought it was gonna be a 1-hour hike but ended up taking almost 3 hours. I was exhausted. Still enjoyed it (except for the last kilometer where I was just struggling) and the views were lovely! Recommend doing this hike :)

A charming scenic walk along the coast. There are quite a few stairs so you can burn off some of the calories you consumed in Busan. The path is well maintained without being boring or unnatural feeling. It’s very peaceful and relaxing walking through the forest. At either end of the walk there are cafes so you can treat yourself after your hike. There are loads of lookout points throughout the trail. The main trail has red markings along the way. We hiked in summer and it poured down on us. A kind Korean lady must’ve felt sorry for me and gave me her spare umbrella at the end of the trail so, thank you kind stranger. Don’t be like me. Bring a raincoat or an umbrella

One of the highlights in Busan. Great scenery, moderate trail not idea for little children or the elderly. I’ll let the pictures speak for itself.
Michael J — Google review
The trail has a lot of potential, but there are some annoying aspects that hold it back. The good points are the stunning views and extensive foliage. The annoying part is the trail path itself. Some legs of the trail have even steps and walkways but many parts have dangerous rocks jetting out of the earth. It’s very easy to trip over these rocks and tree roots. It would help if they laid some rope tarps over the bumps to even things out. The trail is also too narrow and because it can get crowded, this creates bottlenecks and traffic jams. If they rebuilt this trail more evenly, wider and with consistent guardrails, it would make the hike a much more enjoyable experience.
Britz M — Google review
Very nice and easy coastal trail. The views are incredibly stunning. The trail is well kept and there are not too many people even on the weekend. The trail is around 6km long and we took 2 hours to complete it (with many breaks in between to take pictures). If you go to Busan and have extra free time, this trail is highly recommended

Busan Jung-ang Park, formerly known as Daecheong Park and Daesin Park, was revamped in 1986 to offer better recreational spaces. It features small gyms, a tennis court, and an open theater for traditional Korean music performances along its hiking trails. The park also houses a peaceful Memorial with stunning views of Busan. Visitors can enjoy the easy or more challenging trails leading to the top of the mountain.

This place is very interesting. It is a hiking trail/park/gym, here's why: for what I was able to see, you can find several small rudimentary gyms, a tennis court and an open theater where traditional Korean musicians play their instruments in certain times of the year as you walk along the trail. The mountain itself has an easy trail which is wide and eat to walk on and will take you on the "long" path to the top, as well as harder trail which is more direct to the top. Either way, it is a great workout. Please note that there are mosquitoes in this area so use of a mosquito repellent would be advised.

The Memorial park is very nice. It's relatively peaceful compared to the rest of the city. Infact when I was up there I was the only person for about 10 minutes. The Memorial is nicely done and much larger than it seems once you get close. The view of Busan from the Memorial is also something else. From the top you are higher than Busan tower.

Coffee shop
Nestled in the vibrant Nampodong area, A Twosome Place stands out as a popular coffee shop that attracts many students seeking a cozy spot to work on their assignments. While the ambiance is lively, it can get quite noisy due to sound reverberation, which might make casual conversations challenging. The menu features an array of beverages; however, some patrons find the caramel latte overly sweet and have mixed feelings about the Dalgona latte's appearance.
Very noisy and has noise reverberation as the place doesn't have good sound absorbing walls. Caramel latte was too sweet and Dalgona latte looked strange. New York cheese cake was good.

Amnam Park is a beautiful public park located in Busan, South Korea. The park features a large cliff walk and offers stunning views of the ocean. It can be reached by either taking the bus to Songdo Beach or using the cable car or bus from Busan National Geopark. There are toilets and drinking water available at the park, as well as fishing opportunities.
The easiest (and most beautiful) way to get here is by riding the cable car from the lower station in Songdo beach. The park itself is very beautiful as you'd have a lot of cliff side walks that aren't dangerous btw since all the trails are paved. It's not too crowded and the mixture of the sea and pine tree scent in the air is very calming. There's a snack bar, tables, and dinosaur statues that you can see.

A must trekking place in Busan. It can be reached from Songdo Beach by using Busan Aircruise/cable car or Busan National Geopark. You can have ocean view throughout the trail but remember to follow the mark. Toilet facilities and drinking water is available. Reach the peak of the trail and you are overlooking Dudo island. The return trail you could use the same way back to Songdo Beach or use Aircruise if you're tire. I use the same way back as the view really amazing and I end up swimming at Songdo Beach.

A great park to enjoy a peaceful walk and even take a short break on one of the many benches around the area. There are 2 convenience stores where you can buy something to small to eat or drink if you are thirsty or need a snack. Because there is so much greenery and the park is surrounded by water you may discover that there are mosquitos flying around but the views and peace of the area is worth using some bug spray if you really need it. Located at the heart of the city, Democracy Park is a symbolic tribute to pivotal moments in South Korea's democratic history. The park commemorates significant events such as the 4.19 Democratic Revolution, BusanMasan Uprising, and June Uprising with thought-provoking monuments and exhibits. It offers lush greenery and serene spaces for reflection, making it an ideal place for civic engagement and historical contemplation.
A good place for picnic especially during spring
Ellana A — Google review
Hike to this place while staying in Busan. Quite a steep climb on the road and thru the little houses but very worth it. The view of the top esp once you reach the observatory is beautiful and expansive. You will appreciate how beautiful Busan city is. Nice for a morning or an evening stroll. Lot of locals also come here for walks.
Jambay D — Google review
It's a very long climb up, but the view is great! It's an interesting place to visit, where you can appreciate the efforts of the soldiers during the war. You can consider coming here while you're exploring Jungang Park.

Nice place for walk Ark of Democracy is a historic park located in Central Park in the Jung District of Busan, South Korea. It was founded on October 16, 1999 to commemorate the victims of the April Revolution, the Pusan-Masan Democratic Movement and the June Democratic Movement.
Monika K — Google review
Difficult to get here by walking as you need to climb many stairs. Good view of Busan, park scenery didn't interest me, no food at the park.
Caleb T — Google review
I love to spend time at this place. the best place for me to walk around among the beautiful trees 🌳😍and flowers 💐😍. there are many ways to get there but I prefer taking a walk 🚶‍♀️all the way up there
Ioane E — Google review
Came on 25th April. Some flowers still there - cherry blossom or plum blossom. Looks like pink snowflakes on the ground.

What a view! And quite the memorial. Very solemn space. If you care for democracy, you should visit. But it is a bit steep!

Nature & Parks
The Busanjinseong Park, also known as Jaseongdae Park, is an adorable recreational area featuring two small fortresses made of walls, a petite traditional structure, and a compact museum offering English alternatives. However, individuals with physical disabilities should be aware that the park predominantly relies on old-style stairs for accessibility. Nonetheless, the park boasts impeccable maintenance and provides splendid panoramic views from its highest point.
Small park just to walk and take a rest around the market
Aaron C — Google review
It's a nice place for walking either during early morning or late night. As well as a historical spot to know more about Busan's past
Vini — Google review
It's a very cute park with 2 small wall fortresses, a small traditional building, and a small free museum with some English options. Word of warning for the physically disabled: you kinda have to get around the park with old fashioned stairs. It's no problem for people who can walk, but it was a little bit of effort for someone who has a foot injury.
Ash K — Google review
Lovely park, very well maintained and great sight seeing from the top!😍

It is a river beach in northern Busan alongside Nakdong river. There are many facilities for outdoor activities like baseball, soccer, gateball, hiking, biking, jet skiing, boating, camping etc. But it is better just for taking a walk alongside river or lotus pond, picnics on the grass with water birds. You can enjoy some flowers in March to October. You can go to north and south side along the river by foot and bikes.
Yu R — Google review
Good spot for a picnic with family and friends. However while leaving, finding a transport could be difficult as most of the taxis don’t wanna come all the way to the park to pick anyone. This is probably no issue though, if there's no kids in the group.
Ayesha M — Google review
Beautiful park. Tulips were so picturesque and cherry blossoms a feast for the eyes. Great open space for kids to play.
Aarti N — Google review
Great place to take the family and enjoy the park and weather.

Ecological park
Daejeo Ecological Park is a 750,000 square meter recreational and flower park located along the Nakdonggang River in Busan. It features wetlands, waterways, grasslands, and Yuchae flowerbeds. The park hosts the Yuchae Flower Festival every April when the 370,000 square meters of Yuchae flowerbeds are in full bloom. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and pink muhly in autumn.
Canola flower field is available now. Cherry blossom pathway is also next to it. Updated on 5th April 2024.
Benito L — Google review
Visited to see the pink muhly but they were gone. Newly planted canola was everywhere. I can imagine the vast fields of canola come next spring. I'll be back to see that. And the cherry blossom trees.

Daejeo Ecological Park, or 대저생태공원, offers a captivating natural experience in Busan, South Korea. The park's diverse ecosystems provide a haven for flora and fauna, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. The well-maintained trails offer a peaceful escape, and the birdwatching opportunities are exceptional. The park's design seamlessly integrates ecological preservation with recreational spaces, creating a harmonious balance. Visitors can explore serene ponds, lush forests, and open meadows, fostering a sense of tranquility. Whether you're a birdwatcher, hiker, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Daejeo Ecological Park is a hidden gem worth discovering in the bustling city of Busan.
Ajleeblog — Google review
I visited this place during Fall so it was full of Pink Muhly Grass. It is beautiful! I am planning to go to this place again in different seasons because I heard they plant different flowers based on the season. Many people of many ages visit this place to take pictures because it is so beautiful. It will be better if you visit this place in the morning because it will not be crowded
Ellana A — Google review
good to visit under the clean sky. Near the main parking lot, flowers blooms on just a little part of this park and there are almost no trees/shades to keep you from the sun. Around the 2nd and 3rd parking lot, you can see some people enjoy their picnic.
김촬스 — Google review
My favourite hidden gem in Busan! Enjoy the canola flower, cherry blossoms, bamboo forest and wetland all in the same time. Definitely recommend to come for a half day visit. (Can also rent bicycle.)
雅婷林 — Google review
This is a river beach in northern westside of Nakdong river in Busan city. This site is popular in March, April and October because of cherry blossom, raping flower and pink muhly. But it is quite in the other months comparing to Hwamyeng and Samrak. It has also some area for baseball, soccer, basketball, camping etc.
Yu R — Google review
I've been here twice. First in Fall season, and second in Spring season. And this place is really good, they have many kind of pretty flowers. Depends on the season which flower you will see. These pictures was taken when they held flower festival in Spring. The other thing is, near this park, you can find many food and beverages stall that ready to serve you. The price is affordable and reasonable. Last but not least, don't forget to take many instagramable pictures!

Park
Uam-dong Urban Forest offers stunning nighttime views of Busan Harbor Bridge, the city center, and the port. The moon-shaped lighting is a popular Instagram spot, but locals prefer taking photos at the pavilion on the park's summit. The city is beautifully framed by pillars and pavilions, capturing its traditional beauty. While some visitors find it less spacious than expected and obstructed by buildings and trees, it's still worth visiting for Nam-gu residents.
It will be a good place to visit at night and enjoy the nightscape
Ellana A — Google review
Not worth the trip, in an odd location, not a lot there. Much nicer parks and places in Busan, in the middle of a building site.
Maxine O — Google review
It was my last night at pier 8 and I had been looking at this park from the ship since as long as we've been here and I said 'screw it I'm going'. Walked past homeplus, kept looking up, geometry wasn't my friend from the angle of the street, Google maps actually worked for once and I finally found the place. Great way to walk of some steam and work up a sweat, they got some bodyweight exercise machines so if you want to exercise away from shipmates this is your place to go. There's a dog with a muzzle, probably a clipped vocal cord too-you leave her alone she leaves you alone. If you're walking on the main thoroughfare and you pass by the faded cyber café sign you gone too far. Don't worry about walking on the street climbing the hill, the speed limit is safe for pedestrians and the locals will be right there with you. Although there are other ways to climb... you pretty much learn about those once you're there.
Rock H — Google review
It is a perfect place to enjoy the night scenery of the Busan port.

A hidden gem in Busan! 🌉✨ Most visitors probably don’t even know a beautiful place like this exists. It’s a bit tricky to find, but if you take the local green village bus, it’s actually quite easy to get there. 🚌 You can enjoy a stunning view of the Busanhang Bridge, and it’s totally worth the trip!
