The Museo Leonardo da Vinci in Rome is a permanent museum dedicated to celebrating the life and remarkable accomplishments of Leonardo da Vinci. The exhibit features 50 interactive and life-size machines built according to Da Vinci's original plans, as well as 23 full-scale reproductions of his most famous paintings, including The Last Supper and the Mona Lisa. Visitors are transported back five centuries through the recreation of his inventions and paintings using the same materials and techniques.
I truly loved this place. The museum is segmented very well. There is a clear path to follow and each act tells a comprehensive story, either written on the board or in the audio guide. It kind of transports you back in those times and make you think what a true and talented genius Da Vinci was. There is a section with audio-visual theatre. It actually gave me goosebumps cause it was very artsy. (Might be the “Vincerò” aria that gave this touch). If you are a lover of culture and some exceptional minds, it is worth it. It can be either a place you will walk through in 15 min, or it can capture you deeper to make you wanna stay for 2 h.
Ira R — Google review
Great little museum dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci and his work. Really interesting educational both for kids and adults … kids especially loved interactive machines which can be touched and used to see how they work. Giving 4/5 stars only for the hot non conditioned atmosphere of the museum as there was a feeling of damp underground closed up space which was making me feel a little claustrophobic. Other than that definitely worth visiting. Tickets can be bought straight at the entrance. The price is a little high though for the size of the museum.
Aleksandra R — Google review
Very cool, small museum, highlighting the works of da vinci, they show replications of his inventions. Some of the inventions are interactive and you're allowed to touch them. I would recommend the audio tour, bring old school plug in headphones. Took me a little over an hour to walk through listening to the audio guide.
Merci F — Google review
The experience was really neat! I have always known who da Vinci was, but I didn’t know he was such a mastermind of inventions. This was a great educational place to go to. If I have a few comments, it would be to move the Last Supper so it’s easier to see than in the drawing room. The flight VR simulator line is super long and not sure the wait time is worth it. Paid for it, but I didn’t want to wait an hour to experience it. With that said, everyone who got off of it seemed to really enjoy the experience. I would go back again. So much history all in one place. Thank you. 5 Star Review

The Museo Leonardo da Vinci in Rome offers an engaging and interactive experience that my wife and I found both educational and inspiring. Located just steps from Piazza della Cancelleria, this museum brings Leonardo’s genius to life through detailed reconstructions of his machines, many of which were built based on his original sketches. Visitors can touch and operate several of these models, ranging from early versions of flying machines and military inventions to hydraulic systems and architectural innovations. The exhibits are paired with high-quality reproductions of his anatomical studies, codices, and artistic works, giving insight into Leonardo's boundless curiosity and intellect. Though the museum does not house original relics, it successfully conveys the essence of Leonardo’s legacy through immersive displays, 3D holograms, and multimedia presentations. It’s a family-friendly stop that blends science, art, and imagination, and it left us with a deep appreciation for the mind of the Renaissance’s greatest polymath. The museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with the last entry at 6:30 PM. Admission is approximately €14, with discounts available online and optional audio guides for a small additional fee.
Kirk B — Google review
A museum that collects and displays works of a multi-talent genius across several disciplines in art, science, engineering, architecture, etc. Here, visitors have a chance to interact with some of his works. It is not crowded compared to other attractions in Rome. One should allow at least an hour to visit.
Qlv A — Google review
A nice little museum, which you can go through in less than 45 minutes. I loved how they made Leonardo's sketches come to life with plenty of models on display, some even for you to touch, but overall I didn't find it worth it considering the price you have to pay. It's a pity the museum is so small.
Mono I — Google review
A great museum in Italy to visit. Also, they had a great VR experience there that I also recommend checking out. The museum has audioguides for a few languages, like Spanish, Russian, English and French. Overall, 5/5!

The Museum of Roman Civilization traces the history of Ancient Roman civilization from its earliest period through the fourth century. This museum offers visitors a chance to engage with life in Imperial Roman times, from scale models to reproductions of some of Rome's most famous artifacts.
Visited on a Monday so could not go inside, this being said the building is impressive and huge, it’s nice to just sit outside and watch the world slowly go by. There’s a weird contrast the entrance on the right is very well kept, but the giant doorway on the left is filled with dog mess, graffiti, broken drain covers and damaged floors! Keep your memories in tact by visiting the right side of the building only.

Located near the airport, this place is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for shooting cinematic masterpieces, and exudes a stylish, modern vibe.

This Is a Building from the 40's built in rational modern architecture and marble materials. This monumental Place hosts the Planetarium, an astronomy dome show, and it's a stunning and alternative view point of Rome, EUR district
Davide S — Google review
A museum that is currently undergoing extensive renovations and some parts of the display are restricted and limited. The display of human evolution is excellent. If you have the time, take the trip to EUR.
Trevor C — Google review
As far as I know, the museum is closed. tourists who would like to enjoy visiting the site might be disappointed, though it's been one of the last location to welcome James Bond Daniel Craig and the sensual beauty queen Monica Bellucci on Specter (cemetery scene )

Was closed until some date in the future. English website didn't work, so we didn't see this before coming, and there was no notice, so we ended up circling the building until someone accidentally noticed us and told us it was closed.

The Museum Leonardo Da Vinci Experience is a celebration of the talent and genius of Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing fifty inventions created according to his sketches and faithful reproductions of his most famous paintings. This immersive exhibition offers an engaging multimedia journey through painting, mechanics, detailed themed projections, holograms, and educational audio recordings.
We went there on a weekday, wasn't too crowded. Highly recommended. Ticket was 10€ x person. It was a great experience since I didn't know much about Da Vinci. I know it might be a bit weird :)) They give an audio guide available in different languages, Italian, English, Spanish, German, etc. You can also read the explanations beside each painting or device. I think you need at least 1 hour to visit the whole parts.
Ebrahim — Google review
An Unforgettable Journey My first visit to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Milan was absolutely **mind-blowing** From the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I was walking through the imagination of history’s greatest Renaissance master. The museum brings da Vinci’s inventions to life with stunning interactive models of his flying machines, war devices, and hydraulic systems. Seeing his sketches transform into 3D working models left me speechless—you can touch, crank, and experiment with them! It’s not just a museum it’s a hands-on playground for curious minds. I was especially awed by the Gallery of Paintings section, where high-tech reproductions of works like *The Last Supper* and *Mona Lisa* reveal hidden details and restoration secrets. The anatomical studies room, showcasing his precise sketches of the human body, proved how far ahead of his time da Vinci truly was.
Rebaz Y — Google review
If you love science and if you love engineering, this is the best place to visit. This museum hosts scale models of the most of the Learnado's work. Every thing is described in detail. Kids will love a lot since most of the displays can be operted by visitors. The Museum is open every day from 9.00 am till 7.30 pm. For kids 10€ and adults it is 12.
Krishnamoorthi V — Google review
Informative but pricey considering content. I refuse to think this could be one of those tourist traps but felt it was not worth it as it is a super small museum with a few pieces, all replicas. Perhaps it would be nice for a much lower price. Finally, in our experience staff at entrance seem to be busy organising items and stuff at the shop and don’t pay much attention to visitors, which come across as slightly rude.
E. P — Google review
Quite a range of different things to see and you do it at your own pace. Everything from Leonardo Da Vinci's flying machines, war machines are here and you can interact with them. We went with our kids and they had a ball tinkering with the different innovations. They also had fun in the hall of mirrors.
Hendy O — Google review
The guide materials need some TLC as.do some of the exhibits, but overall it was a good exhibit, with nice interpretations, Tidy and very clean. We had a very nice time and learned much!
Adaris R — Google review
I liked the Museum as it let us see both examples of Da Vinci's inventions and reproductions of his paintings in one compact place. The audio was very explanatory. Good value.
Steve M — Google review
I love Leonardo, but this museum didn’t fully show his genius. The mechanisms were hard to understand, texts weren’t very informative, and the layout felt a bit chaotic. Audio explanations were helpful but not available at every exhibit. I spent almost an hour building Leonardo’s bridge — valuable details were missing. Please update it so two people can build from both sides. Overall okay, but I expected more from a museum named after such a great person.

From a well-stocked mini supermarket to hands-on water activities, the museum provides an immersive learning experience for toddlers up to 12-year-olds.
We had an amazing time!!! Highly recommended!! You can stay inside 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has many activities for all ages. Our kid was 3 and had a lot of fun. Very clean place. I loved double toilets when parents can go inside with kids. It has playground and outside. You can visit after the ending of the museum. I think on week days is less crowded, if you can visit it.,Better pre-order your ticket. We were lucky and found the 3 last tickets!!
ΘΕΟΔΩΡΑ Ν — Google review
It was a nice experience for the kids especially as tourists, loved all of the educational activities! I think we definitely needed more time. But would definitely spend another day here
Sidra A — Google review
There were all kinds of activities for all ages. My girls had lots of fun. Tickets costed 10 euros per person. 1 adult had to accompany the child/children. Max stay was 1h 45min. Staff was okay/kind of lazy. They closed the areas before the time. Didn't really help the kids. My girls don't speak Italian, so it was hard for them to understand everything because there were some stations/games that were in italian only. Overall they loved it. I wish the older kids could stay on their own and there was barely any place to sit on for the adults.
ERMI — Google review
lovely place for little one just to run around and explore. She particularly liked the vegetable patch and the light tunnel. Definitely something for.all ages.
Sarah R — Google review
We visited with a three-year old, and we were ALL amazed at all the activities offered. It's all very educational, but implemented through games and activities that even very small kids can participate in. The staff were also very friendly. It wasn't crowded either. We liked it so much that we ended up going twice in two days (and I still don't think we tried even half of the things there) :)
Kristina V — Google review
Such a great, creative space for kids. My 5 and 9 year olds both loved it. Felt like a combination of the best interactive kids activities we often find in museums at home in London - and more. The outdoor play space isn’t huge but plenty to do indoors!
Laura B — Google review
An interesting and interactive place for kids of any age. We spent almost 2 hours there and the time was filled with action, play and education. My child liked the experience at Explora very much! We had to wait for over one hour because we've missed the entry time, which is scheduled (see on one of the attached pictures). Inside there is nothing to do while waiting and the playground outside offers no shadow and no sits so it was impossible to spent the waiting time there. It would be great if there were some quieter areas for example for parents of the older children who explore the museum mostly on their own - the playing area it's extremely loud because of screaming and crying children.

The Museo Civico di Zoologia, established in 1932, is a renowned natural history museum and research center. It houses millions of specimens from various civilizations, including interactive displays and animal skeletons. The museum's history dates back to the early 19th century when it received collections of exotic birds from tropical countries.
I was surprised by how neat this museum was with how bad the reviews were. If you don’t know Italian, google lens translate works perfectly for this place. The taxidermy and bone collection is worth the 10 euros a person!
Mekenzie B — Google review
Good point about museum: 1. Good flow of explaning their collection, through set up of display, diorama of creatures biome and interactive display (touch, lights and scent) 2. Massive scale collections and provide good information about animals and ecology 3. Biome and exhibition well displayed 4. Plenty of well preserved taxidermy from insect to mega fauna 5. Kind front desk person 6. Extensive collection of skeleton from aves to underwaters critters Recommended for spending 2-3 hours checking the collections Cons: Most explanation comes in italian language Note: They provide discount according to age or study faculty
Fernald — Google review
Very interesting museum with articulated skeletons and taxidermied animals. The information plaques are in Italian, so if you don't speak it use Google Lens to translate.
G S — Google review
This museum has an amazing collection of so many various species and specimens. The collection is very big, very well displayed and preserved. It’s very impressive, informative and educational. It’s a great place to bring family and friends, it’s definitely worth checking out. I really enjoyed my time here and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Pong L — Google review
We had the entire museum to ourselves. Very few of the displays had different languages and if stuffed birds and animals are your thing then you'll probably enjoy it more than us. It was entertaining but for the wrong reasons, some of the stuffed animals looked "funny" weird.
Gaz D — Google review
Free with MIC card. My favorite museum in Rome!!! If you have a child, or if you are nature lover please visit this museum. If I had a child, most probably I would learn all about the non human species and while visiting every room, would give her a small introduction about all the species! In my opinion,it's also a very valuable destination for school trips, especially for biology classes! Even, as a 24 years old adult, I'm amazed at every corner. Still, when I look at the photos I took, I experience the same excitement like I was there! The area dedicated to bird species is indescrible...Please even if you are not a nature person, or not into zoology, bring your children there and introduce them the life on earth, trust me it will change your world! Me, as a strict vegan person,I had hesitations at first, but knowing that at least those animals aren't brought by nature and put into cages like zoos or their life didn't taken for the exhibitions. When we are losing our connection with nature day by day, being able to seeing almost every specie and learning about them is an inforgatteble and life changing experience! So many skeletons in final area, from elephants to chimpanzees...I have introduced to species that I haven't heard in my life...and when I left there, I knew I'll be visiting again. I'm leaving the photos I have taken...As you can see, some are plastic replicas, but huge majority is stuffed...

it's so sad how poorly kept it is. i guess it could be fun and educational for kids, but it feels very heavy in there. i think the last time they did anything in regards to upkeeping the place has to be more than 10 years ago. it's very sad. not worth the price

Shopping mall
The Wow Side - Shopping Centre is a large shopping mall conveniently located near a hotel, train station, and airport. It features over 200 stores offering a variety of products including clothing, electronics, furniture, and pet supplies. Additionally, the center houses a supermarket and numerous casual eateries serving pasta, pizza, sandwiches, steak, coffee and snacks. Visitors can also enjoy a multiplex movie theater for entertainment.
The mall is close to Fiumicino airport so we decided to stop on the way for playing, eating and shopping. It seems very new/refurbished as some shops units were not open. Very clean and spacious, lots of toilet facilities and some famous names like Burger kings, Zara and Ikea.. I recommend to try Zero Latency
Meshal — Google review
Its kinda big and you can get lost. Its a big mall for such a small town in my opinion. Also parking it was easy after you learn some points
Petru S — Google review
The WOW Side Shopping Center in Fiumicino is a really large place. We stayed nearby for just two days and visited the mall twice because of its size. Even though we went twice, we probably didn't see everything it offers. You can find all kinds of stores here, like those for clothes, food, and other essentials. It was nice to have so many shopping options in one building. However, a lot of the area around the mall seems a bit sad, as if the economy is slowing down. Even inside the shopping center, we noticed many stores were closed. There were quite a few empty spaces where shops used to be. But despite those empty stores, The WOW Side still felt like a large and clean place with plenty of choices. We could still do all the shopping we needed, and we were glad it was so close to our overnight residence.
Afshin A — Google review
A large shopping center, there are a variety of restaurants and cafes, a supermarket and even IKEA including the chain's restaurant. One ATM 5€ withdrawal fee. Sadly !! WiFi is only for local SIM (+39). There are pleasant places to sit (as armchairs) in between the floors. (4 min walking distance from B&B hotel)
Dr.Shay. A — Google review
Do not go there and park by car. They stole everything. There is parking space but no cameras, and no sign of saying that there are no cameras. As the shopping center is close to the airport, a lot of tourist go there with their baggage's and as soon as you leave your car they break in and stole everything that is in your car. And I am sure that this is an organize crime, that the authorities of the shopping center are aware of. Otherwise that would install at least cameras. Our car window was broken and our whole luggage with the passports and everything was stolen and the same with the other car, an American family. And police just do nothing. Just give a paper stating that hour stuff was stolen.
Ani B — Google review
This place was in a really convenient location to my hotel and also is directly next to the train station and close by to the airport. They have a multitude of good stores where you can pretty much find anything you’re looking for; close, shows, furniture, food, a pharmacy, and even a pet store! You can’t go wrong here and it’s definitely a good place to spend your day shopping. The stores are reasonably priced too, and there’s a ton to choose from. I’d choose a mall like this over many others and wish I had one like this close to my home. Cool escalators too. They also have a McDonalds for all you Americans out there.

Stopped here yesterday and honestly, it was pretty good. Good variety of shops, lots to explore, etc, but while we were inside, someone broke into the car we rented and stole all our stuff, they took our 2 big green and blue suitcase bags and 2 rucksacks. We asked someone who’d been outside a while if they saw anything, they said that car robberies happen every day around here and that they didn’t see anything, so please be wary of where you park and don’t leave any valuables in plain sight, also because there aren’t any cameras pointing to where the cars park.

Shopping Mall easy to reach, a great multitude of shops and restaurants. Great for a shopping day if that is weekly shopping or looking for a gift most likely you will find what u need. Pet shop too, escalators and air conditioned makes for a nice visit in summer too...

Museum
Located in the heart of Rome, Museo/Mostra Leonardo da Vinci - Il Genio le Invenzioni is a child-friendly museum entirely dedicated to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci and his remarkable machines. The exhibition showcases 65 machines, some of which are interactive, allowing visitors to touch and operate their mechanisms. The museum offers a hands-on experience where you can pull levers, spin spheres, and explore the marvels of mechanics.
A great exhibition of most unique inventions of the Middle Age genius. Everything is written in Italian and English, but it is very advisable to order an audio guide - available in several languages. You will be amazed by the variety of the inventions of the great Leonardo da Vinci. Many of them had to wait for 200-400 years to be produced, as there simply were no suitable materials at his time!

We had a great time at the Leonardo da Vinci museum! My 10-year-old daughter really enjoyed it — she was able to touch, turn, and explore everything herself. It sparked her interest in inventing new and useful things. The museum is small, but very clear and interactive, which is perfect for kids. A fun and educational experience!

really inspiring museum! would highly recommend if you need some inspiration. this museum gives you a good understanding of Leonardo Da Vinci’s inventions, his character, life and his genius of course ;) they have many of his drawings and reconstructions of some of his most inspiring inventions. definitely go there if you’re in Rome and into science or art :) you can buy tickets there and there’s no need to buy them in advance.

Fantastic museum! Our children were really excited, they were able to touch some of the exhibits which is unusual for most museums. We had a great time! Highly recommend to visit if you are curious about the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci!

Interesting and interactive, not too busy. You can find some refuge from the fuss and the heat of the city for an hour or so. Great for kids and grownups alike. Smaller yet nicer than the Da Vinci museum next to Castel Sant'Angelo.

A great family adventure that helped us to discover some famous places but not only. We went through narrow streets and we used our brain to solve some of the riddles. 4 hours of fun in the beautiful Roma, a definite Must !!!
Matthieu C — Google review
The Da Vinci Museum, which is well worth visiting, is rich in exhibits and there are many interactive exhibits related to Leonardo Da Vinci's previous designs. Besides, art exhibitions with different themes are held from time to time in the museum, so visiting here will kill two birds with one stone.
Wang S — Google review
I’m quite surprised this place isn’t higher ranked! It’s so cool with recreations of many of da Vinci’s creations and museum ends with a view into one of Rome’s ancient aqueducts. And it’s air conditioned! 🙌

(Translated by Google) The chemistry museum is more a warehouse than a museum. Despite this, I had the chance to listen to the two professors who explained many interesting things to us and I must say that their passion is absolutely contagious. Let's hope they get more funding to reorganize everything. (Original) Il museo di chimica più che un museo è un magazzino.
