This is undoubtedly the best gardens in Chandigarh city. Located very close to the sector 17 ISBT and sector 16 cricket ground, this garden is the perfect place for morning or evening walks. If you are into bodyweight exercise workout i.e. Calisthenics, this is the place for you.. You can see people starting to come here as early as 4:30-5 AM. There are many varieties of roses grown according to the season. Overall landscape is very well maintained. There is a fountain area as well here which needs to be managed a little better as it's not functioning most of the time now. It's got decent parking, well connectivity and big area. There are functioning public toilets and drinking water as well. Whether you are fond of roses or not, whether it's blooming season or not, this place definitely deserves a visit..

It is a very nice and big garden where you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours. Childrens play area are also there. There are lots of varities of roses from all over the world. Location is good and details information available of human development. Tickets price just genuine. No video allowed. Safety of your language is all done by staff because no language and water bottles allowed inside. Guide available on payments if you are more interested have it.

The Gandharan art section is simply fascinating, and the miniatures are exquisite, though the lighting is kept dim, most likely to preserve these delicate works. The displays are straightforward and the labels are basic, so don’t expect modern museum-style curation, but the artifacts themselves make up for it. The museum is clean and well-maintained, with free-to-use toilets and a small publication counter offering books. A souvenir shop would have been a great addition for visitors to take back a memory. Overall, this museum is an enriching stop if you’re fond of history, art, or culture but if that’s not your interest, it might not hold your attention for long.

I explored the lesser-visited sections of the museum and found some fascinating sculptures and paintings. The museum is well-maintained, but some galleries felt slightly under-lit. History and art enthusiasts will appreciate the detailed exhibits.

Visited the ISKCON Temple recently, and it was such a calming experience. The atmosphere is serene, and the sound of the bhajans instantly lifts your mood. The temple is clean and well-kept, and the evening aarti is truly beautiful, it fills you with a sense of peace. The people there are warm and welcoming too. Whether you're spiritual or just looking for a quiet place to reflect, it's definitely worth a visit.

Amazing peaceful temple dedicated to Shree Krishna, located near Kissan Bhawan. Bus and rapido are easily available.

ISKCON Temple Chandigarh is a peaceful and divine place. When I visited in October 2025, some construction was in progress, but the temple’s beauty and serenity were still enchanting. The atmosphere is calm, and inside parking makes the visit convenient.

This iskcon temple is in sector 36 of chandigarh. Aarti times vary in summer and winter. The kirtan starts around 7:15 PM in summer and after that the Geeta path by prabhuji. The place is really abode of God.

The museum is well maintained, neatly organized and very quiet and provide and educational yet entertaining experience. Even the ticket price is very genuine for such an experience only 20 rupees for 1 person and is you want to click photo in there then you have to pay extra 20 rupees. It is not a very large museum so everyone can cover it in maximum 1 hour or so, this makes it a perfect short visit stop when exploring the city beautiful. Definitely worth a stop if you are nearby!

Ok ok place...it will take hardly 10 mins to summarize the place.. of you are a doll lover then only you can spend more time over here... they charge 20 rs extra for photos if you have to click on your mobile... I didn't found it that much worthy.. depends on person to person...

Located inside bal bhavan. It was like haunted place inside, in this INTERNATIONAL DOLL MUSEUM most of the dolls are dirty, few are broken, ventilation is very poor, no air conditioners or coolers were there, water bottles are not allowed inside Washroom was clean but no hand wash provided. Ticket price was 20 rs per head. Not recommended to visit.

we were impressed by the huge collection of dolls from all over the world. it was amazing awesome and exciting experience to see such a unique idea of collection like this. the staff in the museum was also helpful who explained some qualities of the items like sweden and Norway dolls. there was completely cleanliness evrywhere inside the building.There was no dust on dolls even not on their boxes. Thanks the persons who concieved this idea 💡 God bless them all.

Very good place to be with kids. I visited here on International Daughter’s Day with my daughters. They really liked this place. We had very less time to properly see this place but they have a good collection of dolls from across the boarders. We realised that the kids all over the world think same way, they all need someone like them to play with but that someone should be under their control and there comes the DOLLS. Staff was cooperative. They charge very nominal price for adults and free of cost for kids to visit and see the collection and separate charge around 20/- only for clicking pictures. This place is very neat and clean but the collection is not well maintained. It seems like some of the dolls are kept at the same place since years. There dresses are torn off and there hair are gone. By standing there we felt the dolls inside were not taken care of properly and even boxes, rackse were not cleaned. In my opinion the authorities must intervene and allot some regular funds and fix some guidelines for the regular maintenance and updation of this place and also allot some bigger place or expand the museum so that more dolls and kids could be accommodated and can have the cultural exposure of different countries and regions of our country along with our old as well as tribal traditions as well. Overall it was a good place and must visit at least once with kids. Thanks to the staff and authorities.

Nice place to hangout, parking available, wheelchair accessible. Attaching photos. Bonsai World is a must. Free entry, just take 1 to 2 lt. of water along, as it’s a big park so drinking water is compulsory to be taken along.

I can’t believe I’ve lived here for so long and never visited this hidden gem! Went with my cousin and we had a wonderful time enjoying the serene landscape. The peaceful atmosphere made our long conversation even more special, and the beautiful sunset was truly the cherry on top. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm escape from the usual city life.

The park is quite vast and full of greenery. Various attractions like bonsai garden and cactus exhibit were quite wonderful to see. Other attractions like Japanese garden, sacred grove, and the fountain were defunct probably because of the rainy season. So not much to do other than walk around for approx 2 hrs. Plus you are not allowed to take photographs with a camera which is absurd and maked the trip for photography enthusiasts deeply dissatisfying.

🌿 Overview & Purpose It covers about 176 acres of land. It was established primarily to conserve flora, including regional species, exotic plants, and near-extinct ones. History & Development Foundation stone laid on 30 May 2002 by Lt. Gen. (Retd.) J.F.R. Jacob. Officially inaugurated on 2 January 2007. It’s connected via a causeway to the Patiala-ki-Rao forest (about 350 acres), which helps form a larger nature reserve.

A little known out of the way attraction. Many go to Suknah Lake or the Rock Garden. I didn’t see a lot of butterflies that day but it was a peaceful stroll. A nice little getaway ❤️ This was a few years ago while I was visiting.

Visited the Butterfly Garden in Chandigarh recently just to kill some time. It’s an okayish place overall. There are a few wild mulberry and mango trees scattered around, and I even spotted a lone pear tree. I went in spring, which seemed like the off-season — I believe it would look a lot better in winters when it's greener and more lively. That said, if you're in the city looking for a peaceful spot to unwind, it’s not a bad choice. But if you're after a more vibrant experience, I'd still recommend heading to Sukhna Lake instead.

Most Underated Places of Chandigarh, Must Visit with Family , Great Place for Nature Lovers and Peace Seekers

I went in July during the peak summer. The place is not bad if you have spare time in hand. Good for a walk in the shades of different types of trees. I could find a few black berry (jamun) trees with ripe fruits being savored by birds and monkeys. However, I could not see any butterfly in the garden.

Very beautiful garden. Unique and filled with greens. Spring and summers brings in beautiful pretty little butterflies. You can read a book, relax and feel peace in here. Do a photoshoot as well. Go for a walk here or just stroll around. Be in touch with the nature Or, why not have a picnic here? This time I went it was filled with big monkeys but at the back side of the jungle. They dont hurt you as long as don't tease them. A beautiful thought created park. Must visit in a good weather. There were little many butterflies. A peaceful garden :) Washrooms are available here. Parking is not available. Just a random parking. No entry ticket. It is closed on 1 particular day of the week.

Very bad and rude staff the photographer and the person taking driving test there is also very rude they won't tell u anything about rules and anything and u have to do everything in rush bcz of long waiting and if u ask anything related to how to pass this test they will everything is written on ur learner license application see there whereas most of the thing aren't even written there, they will just fail u for minor convience Very bad initiative by chandigarh police if u are taking the test atleast tell the people how to prepare for it rather than just failing everyone without any reason n if u ask them to show video about where u did the mistake they will say sorry it's not possible

Traffic park is an amazing place for picnic and salvation looking people's very beautiful place and park to visit especially in evening time situated in sector 23 on udyan path.

Now need to change its name from children park to impounded vehicle parking area, I Visited today this place after so long, it really hurts to see, what administration has done to this place. More than Hundreds of impounded vehicles dumped here, no maintenance of park. Very bad condition, there is not a single flower in this park. What I can assume from visiting the place, children no longer visits there or allowed there to play or ride their bicycle.a Completely changed for Driving test and impounded vehicle parking. It really hurts. It's a shame that this place has turned to this. 'It's no longer children traffic park its just traffic park now'.

I was on a trekking and sight seeing tour of four days with the French ambassy guest, it was my birthday and the guest gave me a birthday treat at ridge. Food out there is amazing as on request they cooked total non chillie butter chicken which was amazing....

Topiary Park is vey clean, green and highly maintained park in Chandigarh. A person can go once to enjoy the view. But Chandigarh has better parks than this.

Let me tell you, there is no silence in this garden. This garden is near sukhna lake. The children were playing cricket in the morning there. Good view of the garden though. There is a large statue of lord Buddha. Can visit it when visiting Sukhna lake. Nice structured garden.

Good place to enjoy with kids, family and friends. No entry fees. Card system is good but validity of card is an issue. Last time I went they cleaned out my balance and tickets won. I was informed that the card has a validity period of 11 months after use. Today I went there within 11 months and they had again disabled the card. New rule is validity of 6 months. When I complained they restored my card which had more than 18 plays and 600-700 tickets. They do not even use mobile number for validation. This is just ridiculous. People are forced to use up all the game plays as keeping the card safe from misplacing it is tedious. As regards the place spacious place, good variety of games and rides. Separate area for kids parties. Both kids and their parents can enjoy some quality time together.

Fun city Elante Mall Chandigarh: This is really amazing place for all age groups specially Children's. The staff was very helpful and polite. Kids enjoyed a lot and would ready to come again. You can take different rides with some soft toy winning games. Awesome ambience and spacious. Please avoid on weekends due to packed crowd. It's good place to visit with kiddos. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance available here.

I guess it is the best place in tricity for kids to have fun. We usually visit funcity like once in six months. They have arrey of activities and games which let the kids involved. I visited with my boy and had lot of fun. We literally played every game. Some of the games can be played by adults. I sometimes think that adults play and enjoy more than their kids. The place has its charm on adults as well. Every game and activity can be initiated by applying the card that you need to have from the counter. Later you can recharge the card as much you like. You can keep the card with you after you finish playing or can surrender at the counter. Weekends are not good if you want to enjoy the most as the floor is rushed with people. Many of the games were not working and some need little repair. Their staff is amazing but they need more to handle bigger crowd. Staff is very professional and kind. The food court is just nearby so you can have meal. Kids really eat well after the games.

Unbelievable experience at Elante Mall! The senior staff member in an orange shirt was completely unprofessional, arguing with customers in for a lady who was absolutely improper for other kids, talking in broken English. It's appalling to see such behavior from someone in a leadership role, so called senior. Chandigarh's high literacy rate clearly doesn't translate to good manners or customer service skills and crowd. Avoid this place at mall at all costs until they sort out their staff training and attitude issues. And I don't know what would be the solution for these lady who have attitudes like princesses but are you know... Absolutely annoying creatures. Frustrated with such people here. Also, your counter staff is absurdly inappropriate in dealing while exchanging token and prizes. No FAIR DEALING at your store. Remaining is not so much it's because of crowd you are getting sales. NOT YOUR DEALING OR BEHAVIOUR.

There's no entry charges, one can go inside and look all the games available there, but for playing a particular games you have to spend money. Ambience is safe to children and place is maintained properly.

This is a fantastic spot for kids and young adults to try out interesting games. However, be prepared to spend extra money because once you enter, you may get addicted. Your heart will keep urging you to play "just one more game." When I visited, I lost track of time completely—2 PM turned into 7 PM without me even realizing it!

Calm environment. Best time to visit is evening after 4 pm. You can see the names of the soldiers on the walls around the memorial. Plus the park where you can do jogging.

Beautiful park! Well maintained. Visited after quite some time. So many postcard worthy views, especially right after rain showers! With separate jogging and walking tracks, it’s ideal for workouts. People follow social distancing.

Bougainvillea Park Chandigarh : Very well managed and one of the most beautiful park in Chandigarh. Very neat n clean environment. Greenery all over the place. Highly recommended. It's very near to Punjab Bhawan. It is great opportunity for us we are living in the country of great people who sacrifice their life without thinking anything.
