Really lovely restaurant operating as a training restaurant for locals. The food and service was wonderful. Decor was really well done mixing old and new. Get a seat outside on the garden if you can. Also, the training staff make their money through tips so be generous.

Loved the ambience. The chef was very friendly and he introduced us to the establishment and took us on a tour around the kitchen as well as the rooms filled with decoratives. The cause is very meaningful. The three course meal was just nice. The complimentary bread was very crusty and light in the middle. Haven't had a good baguette in along time. Would definitely go there again another day.

Charming place. The owner and staffs are super nice and friendly. The dishes are reasonably priced and tasty. Matcha latte was superb! Will try their breakfast or lunch next time.

This is a western restaurant with a gourmet setup. The waitresses are very aware and polite and do a good job. The dishes are kind of small but 3 courses make you full. The food is decent not the best i have had. I think i needs more flavor - the meat though were perfectly cooked. The restaurant is a training center where young people who cant afford an education can come into training for 11 months. The food was quiet expensive. 41.000 kyats for 3 courses. You have to pay extra tips to make sure chefs in training get an income. Not really sure how to rate this restaurant - is it a charity meal? A gourmet meal? An ordinary restaurant meal or?

Very good fine dining restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, we went in the morning and we took pictures of the beautiful lake and the ducks that were there and it was fantastic to take photos, the atmosphere was really vibrant and warm and i was pleased with the atmosphere of the place however the price for the quality of food i feel like its not too worth it, i ordered seafood spaghetti and i felt it was a little underwhelming for the price i was paying but the lamb was good but the portions were lacking though it is justifiable as it is a fine dining restraunt i just wanted to add emphasis on how you guys need a more consistent standard for all the food because i really did feel like the spaghetti was lacking and it was not worth the 50k i paid though staff were welcoming and friendly, i feel like the portion size along with the taste of the spaghetti was extremely underwhelming and i was not satisfied with the taste and i hope you guys can improve it.

Environment: 8/10 The environment is very nice. You get the view of the Inya lake and there are outdoor seats right next to the lake. But it wasn't as nice during lunchtime because of the burning sun. The decoration was colonial style and was very decorative. Food: 7/10 The taste wasn't extraordinary, the taste felt simple. Nothing too yummy but not bad either. Definitely go there for the nice environment but don't expect too much from the food.

This restaurant is located in an heritage colonial house facing Inya lake, downstairs for casual dining and upstairs fine dining. The food menu is minimal but the dishes are excellent, with a very smooth combinations of ingredients and taste; the wine list is superb and the atmosphere is unique.

This is the premier French restaurant in Rangoon. They have their own private bay on the water. The setting is an old colonial home and gardens. The home is luxurious and the gardens are exquisite. Even the toilets are like stepping into luxury. The food is Michelin-class in presentation, delivery, and taste. The only downside are the mosquitoes that cannot be avoided. So spray yourself or larger up the cream to keep from becoming the main meal. The tables are spaced so that each group has privacy of conversation while not appearing to be isolated. They have ample parking and security in the parking lot.

Good location at inyar lake with cool view. Green landscaping and ancient furnature collection has peaceful environment. Dishes are expensive and portion size is small. But worth to spent time and money

This restaurant is usually crowded with customers and BBQ is the popular menu. There is no much choices for beer and only larger beer 'Chan beer and bawder beer' are available and the others are only bottles and cans. The beers available are not fresh and chilled. Need to improve beer selections.

Absolutely overrated. Beer didn’t even come cold. Ordered a bunch of skewers and NONE were properly cooked nor taste fresh, eventually we left almost everything on the table. If you want to experience exceptional bowel movements, here’s the right place to visit. Two stars for the hard-working and friendly staffs.

Great place for BBQ and drinks. Prices are modest and the food were delicious specially the bbq corn and chicken. It’s a large resturant but Usually busy.

Normal beer station with food and Barbecue foods. Nice place to hang out and variety of food. Usually crowded in the evenings. Quite hard to get parking lot as it’s just beside the busy road. Surrounding has lots of shops, restaurants, tea shop, post office and mobile shops. Able to get street food as well.

It’s a nice place to have a drink. Some of the dishes are good, others need to be improved. I like the sandwiches here, especially the tuna sandwich. Love their grilled okra and tea leaf salad. Was a little disappointed with the vegetable salad. I wanted it with something else but mayonnaise so I asked for a vinaigrette dressing. They simply added oil and salt. No vinegar. The service is always good.

Sharky's Nawaday. Omnivore by Shark's was up to standard, so I kind of trusted the Sharky's brand and tried this place. Phad Kapaow Moo for 8000kyat had a different vibe from different spices and herbs compared to a normal Thai version. Their hamburgers for 17,000kyat were even more off with a patty wich doesn't feel seared, soggy buns and small inconsistencies from the initial recipes. Components such as caramelized onions were nice, but the overall balance was something long gone. Staff were trying.

Such a wonderful little place to have coffee while I was waiting to meet partners. Coffee is good.

I had lamb curry and its the best in Yangon so far! Really nice service and super kind. We completely enjoyed our experience there as well got full bellies from our meals! A must try for sure 😊👌🏾

The place serves very good german cuisine along with a good range beers to choose from. We visited on a Wednesday, which is usually their Beer & Jazz night. The band was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Very good food and enjoyable atmosphere. We were the only ones there at the time. The staff was not overly attentive yet there when you need them. A bit on the pricey side, but it's to be expected.

my wife and I are a big fan of Mahlzeit. loved the kebab, the currywurst, the bread basket, the schorle - we've had a great time and the food was super tasty. now, if you're in Yangon only for a few days - PLEASE eat local food. but if you're living in the Burma/Thailand area (like us), treat yourself to some western deliciousnesses.

Got genuine taste of German beers and waiters are friendly, casual and quick to respond. Easy to find a parking space under this building after work-hours.

Nice options for vegetarians. Veggie spring rolls came were served with soy sauce based dip rather than carrot infused sauce. That was different and satisfying. The juice drinks were nice. I enjoyed crushed ice lemon mint. They also served a coconut when coconut juice was ordered! Never had bun before. It worked. My pho had no sauce to add to the broth. Usually served a black sauce(I avoid using fish sauce as a plant based eater). The one star reductions comes from their total lack of a dessert offering. Had they had an answer other than ordering a sweet juice, this pho shop would have been in better contention for 4.5 stars.

When we first walked in I felt like I was in a Vietnamese kitchen with the smell of star anise, clove, and other spices heavy in the air which promised a good Vietnamese lunch to come. Sadly that's where the promise ended... When we looked at the menu we noticed the prices are high for the area but we decided to give it a try anyway. We had a bowl of pho bo (beef noodle soup) and a plate of fried pork spring rolls. The pho broth was too dark and could hardly taste any of the spices I smelled when walking in. They did get the noodles right but they were very stingy on the beef and the veggies. The spring rolls were very skinny and while they had good taste and were nice and crispy without being oily but there was very little taste of pork. Over all the food was good, a little disappointed but still good, and I would have given them 4* but their prices are too high for what they offer. The service was good and fast even though the staff does not seem to know the menu.

This lunch time (02 December 2019), we went to Golden Pho at Sule square to have lunch. We are group of 5 people. We ordered some food but only 3 of us were served. 2 people had waited for 1 hour but still not have the food. During that 1 hour, we did ask many times but only get the answer of waiting. After that, they brought the food that we had ordered to another table. Finally, we decided to go without ordered food as it was 1:20pm. Please note that we have to go back office at 1:00pm. We have to say that we will never and never go back Golden Pho at Sule square. We will show this disappointed issue to our Vietnamese friends so they can know to avoid having meal at Golden Pho. We will also not recommend at all the Golden Pho to our foreigner friends when they ask about Vietnamese food in Yangon.

I have tried all the dishes served here during my 3 days stay at Esperado hotel and must say they are all quite nice. I like the grilled chicken thigh however if adding less flavors and less salty, it would be better especially to the Western guests. wishing your business keep growing.

Tasty sweet and sour fish when I went and bought there. Pork meat from fried sweet flat noodles was a bit tough. Papaya salad was not spicy but tasty. People are friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Luckily it's opened while majority of the restaurants are closed.

Very tasty dishes and a good service. Although bring some time as you will have to wait quite a while for your food. The prices are a bit high but worth it. Only the playlist of the restaurant could get some new songs, as the five same songs play again and again the whole day.

Food taste is normal. I feel like they have tried to adapt to the local taste which is different from authentic Thai taste but still acceptable. Service is good because staff are well trained and very attentive. A bit pricy but compensate by the good service yoi received.

One of the best Thai Restaurants in YGN. Penang Curry and Thai Milk Tea are must try items. Saw so many one portion rice and curry fishes as well. Will try those if i am alone :)

I dun even wanna rate it as one star for food. It was popular before due to affordable price with good quality of meat and taste. Price is now much overrated (double than before) but quality and service are downgraded more than triple. Portion is smaller as well. They dun even give lettuce as complimentary which is formal to serve with steaks. Craft beer is also not fresh and costly.

I recently visited Steak on the Street on Waizayandar Road and I was blown away by the quality of their food. The grilled beef tenderloin with charcoal was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The pork collar, river prawn & salads were also delicious and flavorful. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with some wooden seats and an open-air environment that makes it perfect for hanging out with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, I would highly recommend Steak on the Street to anyone looking for delicious grilled meat at an affordable price in Yangon.

Simple, innovative, good atmosphere, well prepared, clean and delicious. Grill pork, beef and other BBQ items are available in their menu. Friendly and polite crews and will visit next time for other menu items. And recommend to those who like steak. Price is reasonable. It is located on main road near City Mart Supermarket.

This place is quite popular located on WaiZayanTar Street next to CityMart. The setup is completely outdoor and prices are reasonable for the setup. You may park the car on the street and it is always crowded. They accept cash and KBZPay. They also have owned brewed beer which i recommend you to try .....

We come here very often. Love the way the shop designs which ease to have a good chat with friends and family without hesitation to next table. This time; the food did not meet my expectations, particularly the Pork Rib and Pork Burger, which were overly sweet and lacked a well-balanced flavor. The sauce did not blend well with the dishes. I used to get the sausages and salmon dishes; it was great. House wine, beer, and service from the staff were good. The location is excellent, with the added convenience of a parking lot. Prices are reasonable and affordable. I would come again but ordering different one, perhaps!

this is one of the best steak or any pork or chicken place ever because of its price. With the price you give you get really really good food and meat. To be honest for me personally, I love the mashed potato and I also love the vibe and the atmosphere of the place as well as a great hangout spot or just date place.

This is a delicious steak restaurant where you can eat Myanmar beef. Myanmar beef red meat is very tough, so you need to order it super rare, which is even softer than rare. Also, the sauce is very bad, so I recommend bringing your own sauce. This may be common in Myanmar, but you need to be careful as dogs may get into restaurant.

Servers aren’t even experienced. Facilities are very poor. Water leaks in the building. Even the managers do not have western experiences.

I always try not to compare the taste of food here with what I've had in better places. While the food is tasty, it doesn't quite stand out. Unfortunately, our order was missed, which was disappointing. Just checking out a few places in Yangon. This is a really nice bar , lots of space , great service and I had a snack which was very tasty. I left around 7.30 pm and the lance was till quite empty. Maybe it will get busy later. I would imagine this is a great bar when it’s busy . Will definitely visit again.

I didn't like their food for the first time but I was there last night and I tried it again. Oh the food is so tasty. Did I get drunk when I came here for dinner? I recommend a special parami pizza🍕.It is so different styles and crispy. They also have music band, Billiard table And Thank you for arranging our delicious dinner.

Wow, amazing restaurant. Top for taste, taste in food, taste in beverages, taste in decor, taste in music, all delivered by attentive, polite and efficient staff. Catering western cuisine, but doing it brilliantly, the Union Burger, is exceptional, not just by Myanmar standards or Asian standards, this is a world class burger, it tastes great. This place has put a very big smile on my face for the rest of the day. Note to owner, don't change a thing! This is a large spacious redtaurant tastefully decorated, two story frontage floods in natural light in the afternoon making it a very pleasant spot, afternoon or evening. Union is easy to find, just down the street from the famous Strand Hotel facing the harbour.

Place is crowded fully during breakfast time (9-10 AM) as it is small two story food center. I feel like Dim Sum here are not fresh as other Oriental House Restaurants. Maybe it is franchised since shop name is also other one. Service is not much good as well.

I have been a big fan of this place for more than ten years now. This place is not what it used to be anymore. The old oriental had great wait staff with great tasting food. Now, it is a shell of what it used to be. The tables are disgusting, the food is old and stale. The following picture is the food i was served which i refused to touch. They sold us day old food reheated. This is unbeliveably sad to look at.

Koji coffee beans are really great. I believe they are from Ywa Ngan a place in Shan state. Dim sum in the early morning is also great at the dim sum side. Recommend seaweed, salted egg and steamed pork.

One of the more popular dim sum houses in Yangon. A proper breakfast place. Clean and comfortable. Attentive waiters and waitresses. Good customer service. Moderate prices. Usually crowded in the mornings especially in weekends. Limited car parking space.

It is now changed to His.tori But still can get the authentic Oriental House dim-sum in the morning and the shop re open again in the evening 4:30 to serve Korean BBQ and Dim Sum as well! So it's the greatest combo ever ! I would give 4 out of 5 stars in general

Very accessible to the hotel where I stayed and very near Bogyoke Market, Astons is a mid-tier kind of steak house akin to Royal Host maybe? I’ve never tried it in my several visits to Singapore, but I got to try it this time in Yangon. Unfortunately, the meat wasn’t very tender and had to rely on the sauces for taste. I guess you get what you pay for. Nevertheless, great dining environment and attentive staff. Customer service was great. A mid 3/5 for me.

Not been there quite long since pendamic restriction. Still good taste and portion as before but there were no HP sauce & Tabasco Sauce available when I asked for. Provided chilli sauce & ketchup only. Recommended to provide more sauces in future. The rest is ok and will visit again for sure.

We had to wait a long time. The salad was not fresh. Brown and bruised leaves of lettuce. Brown, old cabbage... People don't eat food like that at their home. It's rubbish. The corn was not fresh, maybe packaged and reheated, I'm not sure, but not so nice, not fresh. The steak had nice flavour, but we asked for medium and it was medium rare. Which is not so bad, but this is supposed to be a steak house and they can't cook steak to our requested level. That is not good. And also they didn't start the steak on a hot grill, so it was weak and limp. Also not good. Amateur. I know the restaurant is from Singapore. And I know times are bad in Burma, but the menu gloats about their affordable prices. $100,000 + for one meal and a (cheaper) drink, is NOT affordable. I cannot recommend. Very poor.

I wast there often. Very delicious beef steak and I brought wine bottle. But wine bottle charges is expensive.

Well, I could say it was my mistake to visit on their second day of reopening, haha!!! They were totally short-staffed, and it took at least 45 minutes to over an hour for the food to arrive. The dishes weren’t worth the wait—just mediocre. The cocktails tasted good, and the staff were nice, but I expected a lot more from this place.
