Bistro

Training center
Nestled on the picturesque north bank of Inya Lake, Shwe Sa Bwe is a unique gem in Yangon that beautifully marries culinary education with exquisite dining. This charming establishment not only serves delectable French bistro-style dishes but also acts as a training ground for underprivileged youth aspiring to become chefs.
Lovely place, lovely vibe and nice and friendly people here. Interior designs are amazingly beautiful. Perfect place for your fine dining and have a drink.

Beautiful atmosphere with great local decor. Amazing business lunch menu!!! They change the daily business lunch options often. Great variety! One of my favorite places in the city! Ms. Phyu is incredible and is willing to help with special requests.

I love their concept of local training and live-and-learn. Simple dishes but splendid.
Pam W — Google review
The Sizzling Saddle is the city’s best Western restaurant. Its cozy, rustic vibe creates a warm atmosphere. Friendly service and a great selection of craft cocktails make every visit special. Hands down, the top spot in town!
Zaw L — Google review
Really lovely restaurant operating as a training restaurant for locals. The food and service was wonderful. Decor was really well done mixing old and new. Get a seat outside on the garden if you can. Also, the training staff make their money through tips so be generous.
Jeremy E — Google review
Loved the ambience. The chef was very friendly and he introduced us to the establishment and took us on a tour around the kitchen as well as the rooms filled with decoratives. The cause is very meaningful. The three course meal was just nice. The complimentary bread was very crusty and light in the middle. Haven't had a good baguette in along time. Would definitely go there again another day.
Ei K — Google review
Charming place. The owner and staffs are super nice and friendly. The dishes are reasonably priced and tasty. Matcha latte was superb! Will try their breakfast or lunch next time.
Patricia — Google review
This is a western restaurant with a gourmet setup. The waitresses are very aware and polite and do a good job. The dishes are kind of small but 3 courses make you full. The food is decent not the best i have had. I think i needs more flavor - the meat though were perfectly cooked. The restaurant is a training center where young people who cant afford an education can come into training for 11 months. The food was quiet expensive. 41.000 kyats for 3 courses. You have to pay extra tips to make sure chefs in training get an income. Not really sure how to rate this restaurant - is it a charity meal? A gourmet meal? An ordinary restaurant meal or?

Le Planteur Restaurants & Lounge is a top-notch dining venue located in a colonial mansion with stunning views of Inya Lake. The establishment offers four distinct dining concepts, including private gourmet-dining rooms, a wine bar, outdoor garden dining for high tea, and a bistro for casual lunches. While reservations are recommended due to its slightly out-of-town location, the experience is well worth the 20-minute drive from PARKROYAL Yangon.
"Everything was perfect: the food, wine list, environment, and service. It's unbelievable to find such a place in Yangon, and we're happy to be back."
Pam W — Google review
Very good fine dining restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, we went in the morning and we took pictures of the beautiful lake and the ducks that were there and it was fantastic to take photos, the atmosphere was really vibrant and warm and i was pleased with the atmosphere of the place however the price for the quality of food i feel like its not too worth it, i ordered seafood spaghetti and i felt it was a little underwhelming for the price i was paying but the lamb was good but the portions were lacking though it is justifiable as it is a fine dining restraunt i just wanted to add emphasis on how you guys need a more consistent standard for all the food because i really did feel like the spaghetti was lacking and it was not worth the 50k i paid though staff were welcoming and friendly, i feel like the portion size along with the taste of the spaghetti was extremely underwhelming and i was not satisfied with the taste and i hope you guys can improve it.
Gentle M — Google review
Environment: 8/10 The environment is very nice. You get the view of the Inya lake and there are outdoor seats right next to the lake. But it wasn't as nice during lunchtime because of the burning sun. The decoration was colonial style and was very decorative. Food: 7/10 The taste wasn't extraordinary, the taste felt simple. Nothing too yummy but not bad either. Definitely go there for the nice environment but don't expect too much from the food.
Peam P — Google review
This restaurant is located in an heritage colonial house facing Inya lake, downstairs for casual dining and upstairs fine dining. The food menu is minimal but the dishes are excellent, with a very smooth combinations of ingredients and taste; the wine list is superb and the atmosphere is unique.
Alessandro M — Google review
Place is perfect with the lake view. Although their taste is not exquisite for the best fine dining in town but their price is. 🚨 They will come and fill ur glasses with water from reusable bottle and 1$/bottle🚨 Taste. - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price. - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Location. -⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service. -⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cleanliness - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kyan T — Google review
This is the premier French restaurant in Rangoon. They have their own private bay on the water. The setting is an old colonial home and gardens. The home is luxurious and the gardens are exquisite. Even the toilets are like stepping into luxury. The food is Michelin-class in presentation, delivery, and taste. The only downside are the mosquitoes that cannot be avoided. So spray yourself or larger up the cream to keep from becoming the main meal. The tables are spaced so that each group has privacy of conversation while not appearing to be isolated. They have ample parking and security in the parking lot.
Srini — Google review
Good location at inyar lake with cool view. Green landscaping and ancient furnature collection has peaceful environment. Dishes are expensive and portion size is small. But worth to spent time and money

Love the vibe here—definitely 5 stars for that. The service was attentive as well, but the bistro menu lacked uniqueness.

Barbecue restaurant
Chinese restaurant
Located in the emerging Sanchaung district, Win Star eatery and beer joint offers a vibrant local ambiance akin to 19th Street near Chinatown in downtown Yangon, albeit with a overhead shelter. Indulge in an assortment of grilled fare like potatoes, quail eggs, corn, fish, and various meats and vegetables that are simply delectable. It's all about barbecuing everything and complementing it with a refreshing glass of crisp Myanmar brew.
Great food. Cheap beer. Warm, noisy local ambience while Hindi movies play on TV. Yes, Hindi. Ask for the menu which has some parts in English. Service is quick once order is placed.
Waikong C — Google review
So dirty check the video! Price is a little expensive. Parking is not easy to find. Waiter and waitress only care to sell items no care in cleaning. Little cockroaches come out from the table.
Mr.Bullet — Google review
This restaurant is usually crowded with customers and BBQ is the popular menu. There is no much choices for beer and only larger beer 'Chan beer and bawder beer' are available and the others are only bottles and cans. The beers available are not fresh and chilled. Need to improve beer selections.

B.B.Q here are tasty and sauce is also delicious. Very crowded at Friday evenings. Mash potato is recommended one. Overall Rating (out of 5 ⭐️) Hygiene: ⭐️⭐️ Price:⭐️⭐️⭐️ Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely overrated. Beer didn’t even come cold. Ordered a bunch of skewers and NONE were properly cooked nor taste fresh, eventually we left almost everything on the table. If you want to experience exceptional bowel movements, here’s the right place to visit. Two stars for the hard-working and friendly staffs.

Great place for BBQ and drinks. Prices are modest and the food were delicious specially the bbq corn and chicken. It’s a large resturant but Usually busy.

Normal beer station with food and Barbecue foods. Nice place to hang out and variety of food. Usually crowded in the evenings. Quite hard to get parking lot as it’s just beside the busy road. Surrounding has lots of shops, restaurants, tea shop, post office and mobile shops. Able to get street food as well.

Restaurant
Sharky's Nawaday is a delightful culinary gem with locations in Yangon and Bagan, dedicated to the farm-to-table philosophy. With a commitment to sustainability, nearly all ingredients are sourced from their own farms, ensuring minimal waste. The Yangon branch on Pansodan Street specializes in mouthwatering steaks and expertly grilled meats, while the original location on Dhammazedi Road boasts an impressive deli filled with unique local products like artisan cheeses and homemade sausages.
Had the beef burger and it was good for it's price. Wouldn't mind paying more for a thicker patty, though. Paired with draft beer and it was a good afternoon 😊
Eric M — Google review
It’s a nice place to have a drink. Some of the dishes are good, others need to be improved. I like the sandwiches here, especially the tuna sandwich. Love their grilled okra and tea leaf salad. Was a little disappointed with the vegetable salad. I wanted it with something else but mayonnaise so I asked for a vinaigrette dressing. They simply added oil and salt. No vinegar. The service is always good.
Sarah B — Google review
Sharky's Nawaday. Omnivore by Shark's was up to standard, so I kind of trusted the Sharky's brand and tried this place. Phad Kapaow Moo for 8000kyat had a different vibe from different spices and herbs compared to a normal Thai version. Their hamburgers for 17,000kyat were even more off with a patty wich doesn't feel seared, soggy buns and small inconsistencies from the initial recipes. Components such as caramelized onions were nice, but the overall balance was something long gone. Staff were trying.

Mahlzeit Restaurant is a surprising find in Yangon, offering a cozy atmosphere and a menu featuring both Western fare and German specialties. The restaurant's highlight is the feast platter, which includes Schnitzel, Beef Roulade, Meat Loaf, Crispy Pork Belly, Sausages, Sauerkraut, Potato Dumplings and Gravy. To complement the meal, there's an array of authentic imported German beers available.

The place serves very good german cuisine along with a good range beers to choose from. We visited on a Wednesday, which is usually their Beer & Jazz night. The band was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Rashmi D — Google review
Very good food and enjoyable atmosphere. We were the only ones there at the time. The staff was not overly attentive yet there when you need them. A bit on the pricey side, but it's to be expected.

Great location - the building is very nice. Disclaimer: I only went into the café. However, if you are a Westerner (specifically US) that is missing the meat, egg, potato platters reminiscent of Denny's or IHOP, this place definitely serves it up 👌

my wife and I are a big fan of Mahlzeit. loved the kebab, the currywurst, the bread basket, the schorle - we've had a great time and the food was super tasty. now, if you're in Yangon only for a few days - PLEASE eat local food. but if you're living in the Burma/Thailand area (like us), treat yourself to some western deliciousnesses.

Vietnamese restaurant
Restaurant
Golden Pho Vietnamese Cuisine is a delightful spot that brings the vibrant flavors of Vietnam to your plate. Nestled in a modern setting, this restaurant offers an array of authentic dishes, including beloved street food and traditional options perfect for sharing with loved ones. Their standout dish, Pho Bo—an aromatic beef noodle soup—is celebrated for its rich broth infused with antioxidant-rich spices.
As soon as we arrived in Yangon we had no clue about where to go to eat and after a walk we found this nice Vietnamese restaurant inside a mall. Pho was pretty good and tasty and the place for pretty quiet and relaxing, right in front of our hotel! Nice experience
Riccardo P — Google review
Nice options for vegetarians. Veggie spring rolls came were served with soy sauce based dip rather than carrot infused sauce. That was different and satisfying. The juice drinks were nice. I enjoyed crushed ice lemon mint. They also served a coconut when coconut juice was ordered! Never had bun before. It worked. My pho had no sauce to add to the broth. Usually served a black sauce(I avoid using fish sauce as a plant based eater). The one star reductions comes from their total lack of a dessert offering. Had they had an answer other than ordering a sweet juice, this pho shop would have been in better contention for 4.5 stars.
Lionscircle — Google review
When we first walked in I felt like I was in a Vietnamese kitchen with the smell of star anise, clove, and other spices heavy in the air which promised a good Vietnamese lunch to come. Sadly that's where the promise ended... When we looked at the menu we noticed the prices are high for the area but we decided to give it a try anyway. We had a bowl of pho bo (beef noodle soup) and a plate of fried pork spring rolls. The pho broth was too dark and could hardly taste any of the spices I smelled when walking in. They did get the noodles right but they were very stingy on the beef and the veggies. The spring rolls were very skinny and while they had good taste and were nice and crispy without being oily but there was very little taste of pork. Over all the food was good, a little disappointed but still good, and I would have given them 4* but their prices are too high for what they offer. The service was good and fast even though the staff does not seem to know the menu.
Erik B — Google review
Nice and cosy place. The staff is attentive and helpful. The food was good but for my taste my food could have more taste of lemon grass and coriander.

Good soup noodle dishes and vermicelli noodle bowls! Spring rolls and other side dishes are ok. I like this place for a quick convenient eat at a good price!

This lunch time (02 December 2019), we went to Golden Pho at Sule square to have lunch. We are group of 5 people. We ordered some food but only 3 of us were served. 2 people had waited for 1 hour but still not have the food. During that 1 hour, we did ask many times but only get the answer of waiting. After that, they brought the food that we had ordered to another table. Finally, we decided to go without ordered food as it was 1:20pm. Please note that we have to go back office at 1:00pm. We have to say that we will never and never go back Golden Pho at Sule square. We will show this disappointed issue to our Vietnamese friends so they can know to avoid having meal at Golden Pho. We will also not recommend at all the Golden Pho to our foreigner friends when they ask about Vietnamese food in Yangon.

I have tried all the dishes served here during my 3 days stay at Esperado hotel and must say they are all quite nice. I like the grilled chicken thigh however if adding less flavors and less salty, it would be better especially to the Western guests. wishing your business keep growing.

Thai restaurant

Thai 47, a beloved dining spot in Yangon since its opening in 2014, offers an authentic taste of Thailand with a diverse menu that includes everything from grilled fried rice to pork neck salad and grilled beef. With three branches—Downtown, Kyauk Kone, and Helpin—this restaurant has successfully updated its offerings to include new Thai dishes while maintaining the classics that patrons adore. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting, allowing guests to enjoy their meals without feeling cramped or rushed.
Environment is comfort, the space is not too narrow and the service is nice too, people keep watching your eating condition to give some help without stay beside you to bother you. Good taste with reasonable price, the CP value is high for me. Recommend people come and eat. This is my second time to come. Thank you for the service.

Tasty sweet and sour fish when I went and bought there. Pork meat from fried sweet flat noodles was a bit tough. Papaya salad was not spicy but tasty. People are friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Luckily it's opened while majority of the restaurants are closed.
Kyee K — Google review
Top-tier premium Thai restaurant in downtown Yangon, Myanmar, celebrated for its authentic flavors and vibrant atmosphere. The menu features classic Thai dishes.like fiery Pad Kapaw (Spicy Basil Stir-Fry), aromatic Tom Yum Goons, and the chef’s special Pla Neung Manow (Steamed Fish in Lime Sauce). For milder options, try the creamy Tom Kha Gai (Coconut Chicken Soup) or Grilled Pork with Acacia Leaf Soup. The restaurant boasts a modern interior with a stylish Thai-themed bar, private dining rooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows for a lively vibe. Service is attentive (though occasionally overzealous), and the MSG-free dishes use locally sourced ingredients adapted slightly for Burmese palates , Tham Thai is 💯 and coffee is also good.

Very tasty dishes and a good service. Although bring some time as you will have to wait quite a while for your food. The prices are a bit high but worth it. Only the playlist of the restaurant could get some new songs, as the five same songs play again and again the whole day.

Thai47 - Kyauk Kone Branch is a casual dining spot that serves up traditional Thai dishes and unique cocktails. While parking can be limited during busy times, the reasonable prices and authentic flavors make it a go-to spot for many patrons. The ambiance is suitable for gatherings with family and friends, and the draught beer selection includes Heineken and Tiger.
I’m not an expert on Thai food, but I’m an expat on delicious food. The food I had here was INSANELY delicious! It took remarkable self control not to order more. A Testament to the quality here was the steady stream of customers in the middle of a work day. Not over crowded though.

Food taste is normal. I feel like they have tried to adapt to the local taste which is different from authentic Thai taste but still acceptable. Service is good because staff are well trained and very attentive. A bit pricy but compensate by the good service yoi received.

My go-to place for thai food. Price seems a bit pricey but worth it. service is just "not bad". the restaurant's ambient is quite okay for family and friends gatherings. have been eating here for quite some time, but never have been disappointed by its food.

One of the best Thai Restaurants in YGN. Penang Curry and Thai Milk Tea are must try items. Saw so many one portion rice and curry fishes as well. Will try those if i am alone :)

Thai 47 Kyauk Kone Branch serves up an authentic Thai culinary experience with a delectable menu and refreshing drinks. While the indoor space is spacious, the outdoor seating area can get a bit warm, unless you snag a spot directly in front of a fan. Nonetheless, the tantalizing flavors make it a must-visit for Thai cuisine enthusiasts.
Hein ( — Google review
The food is good, but some dishes are too salty, and the waiting time is long. Room changes are expensive, and the 10% extra service charge is not worth it.”

STEAK On The Street offers a more affordable option compared to other steak restaurants without compromising on quality. The juicy and delicious meat is grilled to perfection, and the friendly crew adds to the enjoyable dining experience. The menu features a variety of grilled pork, beef, and BBQ items in a simple yet innovative atmosphere. With reasonable prices and great service, this restaurant is recommended for steak lovers looking for a delicious meal.
Fair price and best taste steak. Wondering Burmese beef is so soft and Love to eat. Waiters are well trained and educated too. There’s lot of car parking behind. So No crowded on the road. Local Beef steak and fried pork ribs must try. I would like to suggest Owner for dinning place need abit to modify with open space and face to road view.

Really cool place. I will come back again
Aung W — Google review
I dun even wanna rate it as one star for food. It was popular before due to affordable price with good quality of meat and taste. Price is now much overrated (double than before) but quality and service are downgraded more than triple. Portion is smaller as well. They dun even give lettuce as complimentary which is formal to serve with steaks. Craft beer is also not fresh and costly.
Nyein W — Google review
Nice restaurant to try delicious steak menus. Service is average. Prices are acceptable.
Kyi M — Google review
I recently visited Steak on the Street on Waizayandar Road and I was blown away by the quality of their food. The grilled beef tenderloin with charcoal was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The pork collar, river prawn & salads were also delicious and flavorful. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with some wooden seats and an open-air environment that makes it perfect for hanging out with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, I would highly recommend Steak on the Street to anyone looking for delicious grilled meat at an affordable price in Yangon.

Simple, innovative, good atmosphere, well prepared, clean and delicious. Grill pork, beef and other BBQ items are available in their menu. Friendly and polite crews and will visit next time for other menu items. And recommend to those who like steak. Price is reasonable. It is located on main road near City Mart Supermarket.

This place is quite popular located on WaiZayanTar Street next to CityMart. The setup is completely outdoor and prices are reasonable for the setup. You may park the car on the street and it is always crowded. They accept cash and KBZPay. They also have owned brewed beer which i recommend you to try .....

Western restaurant
Onyx Moss Garden is a restaurant that has been in operation since 2004, offering a diverse menu of Western dishes. The luxurious space and diverse menu make it an ideal place to enjoy delicious food. On weekends, the restaurant is always bustling with diners. It's known as a carnivore's paradise, serving succulent steaks and flavorful pork chops. Seafood lovers will also find delight in the expertly grilled offerings bursting with freshness and delicate char.
If you love western cuisine and steaks, fish et cetera, this place is for you. Great selection of meat and alcohol as well as other varieties of food. For example, you can get huge plates of tuna sashimi and grilled tuna for a total of maybe $15~$20 and share. You have to order ahead though. Dishes like spaghetti taste good as well. But beware of mushroom soup, it has bell peppers, somehow. The side dish they give out is pickled papaya, which is rarely seen in yangon so make sure to give it a try.

The vibe at ONYX Restaurant is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner in Yangon. This is one of the best places to enjoy delicious Myanmar beef steak at a great price. Unlike many restaurants , ONYX serves large portions that will leave you satisfied. The quality is always excellent, making it real value for money. If you’re looking for a steakhouse in Yangon with tasty food, fair prices, and a comfortable dining atmosphere, ONYX should be on your list. Highly recommended for families, friends, and anyone who loves good food.
Aung W — Google review
We come here very often. Love the way the shop designs which ease to have a good chat with friends and family without hesitation to next table. This time; the food did not meet my expectations, particularly the Pork Rib and Pork Burger, which were overly sweet and lacked a well-balanced flavor. The sauce did not blend well with the dishes. I used to get the sausages and salmon dishes; it was great. House wine, beer, and service from the staff were good. The location is excellent, with the added convenience of a parking lot. Prices are reasonable and affordable. I would come again but ordering different one, perhaps!
May W — Google review
this is one of the best steak or any pork or chicken place ever because of its price. With the price you give you get really really good food and meat. To be honest for me personally, I love the mashed potato and I also love the vibe and the atmosphere of the place as well as a great hangout spot or just date place.
Abigail P — Google review
The vibe of this restaurant is very cozy. I like that. I think you’ll full with only a plate of pasta. But i don’t like steak and sauce very much. The drink and brownie is recommended. And if you’re finding a dining restaurant with cheap price, you should check it out.
Thant W — Google review
This is a delicious steak restaurant where you can eat Myanmar beef. Myanmar beef red meat is very tough, so you need to order it super rare, which is even softer than rare. Also, the sauce is very bad, so I recommend bringing your own sauce. This may be common in Myanmar, but you need to be careful as dogs may get into restaurant.

Servers aren’t even experienced. Facilities are very poor. Water leaks in the building. Even the managers do not have western experiences.

During my recent adventure in Yangon, I stumbled upon the delightful Union Bar & Grill, a gem that has been making waves in the local dining scene since its inception three years ago. This casual yet vibrant spot is perfect for those seeking a break from traditional cuisine. With an inviting atmosphere and a menu brimming with mouthwatering options, it’s no wonder this place has become a favorite among locals and travelers alike.
Great place to hang out and chill. Pool table, live music sometimes, table football. Has a 5-7pm happy hour. Food and drink reasonable priced. Service absolutely fantastic
Joe M — Google review
I always try not to compare the taste of food here with what I've had in better places. While the food is tasty, it doesn't quite stand out. Unfortunately, our order was missed, which was disappointing. It would be helpful if the order taker repeated the order to avoid such issues, so I don't end up waiting for food that never arrives while everyone else finishes their meal. The nachos were just floury and lacked the flavor that nachos should have. The pumpkin soup was a bit too sweet and not the thick, finely blended soup I was expecting. On the bright side, the pizza was decent and met the standard. Interestingly, they sell vapes here too! Unlike some places that put stickers on the bill after payment, this one just gave me back my change & receipt without the stickers. ⸻ Would you like to add anything else or make further adjustments?

Just checking out a few places in Yangon. This is a really nice bar , lots of space , great service and I had a snack which was very tasty. I left around 7.30 pm and the lance was till quite empty. Maybe it will get busy later. I would imagine this is a great bar when it’s busy . Will definitely visit again.

Wow, amazing restaurant. Top for taste, taste in food, taste in beverages, taste in decor, taste in music, all delivered by attentive, polite and efficient staff. Catering western cuisine, but doing it brilliantly, the Union Burger, is exceptional, not just by Myanmar standards or Asian standards, this is a world class burger, it tastes great. This place has put a very big smile on my face for the rest of the day. Note to owner, don't change a thing! This is a large spacious redtaurant tastefully decorated, two story frontage floods in natural light in the afternoon making it a very pleasant spot, afternoon or evening. Union is easy to find, just down the street from the famous Strand Hotel facing the harbour.

Oriental House is a beloved gem in Yangon, renowned for its authentic dim sum and bustling atmosphere. With five branches across the city, including a new location on Inya Street near Rangoon University, it has become a go-to spot for breakfast lovers. The restaurant opens early to serve delicious dim sum but be mindful that the quality tends to dip after 10 am—so it's best to arrive early!
This place is my childhood comfort place! Every twice a week, I would go there with my family and enjoy the best dishes! The food are very tasty and service is good as well!
Thu H — Google review
Place is crowded fully during breakfast time (9-10 AM) as it is small two story food center. I feel like Dim Sum here are not fresh as other Oriental House Restaurants. Maybe it is franchised since shop name is also other one. Service is not much good as well.
Nyein W — Google review
I have been a big fan of this place for more than ten years now. This place is not what it used to be anymore. The old oriental had great wait staff with great tasting food. Now, it is a shell of what it used to be. The tables are disgusting, the food is old and stale. The following picture is the food i was served which i refused to touch. They sold us day old food reheated. This is unbeliveably sad to look at.

Koji coffee beans are really great. I believe they are from Ywa Ngan a place in Shan state. Dim sum in the early morning is also great at the dim sum side. Recommend seaweed, salted egg and steamed pork.

It is now changed to His.tori But still can get the authentic Oriental House dim-sum in the morning and the shop re open again in the evening 4:30 to serve Korean BBQ and Dim Sum as well! So it's the greatest combo ever ! I would give 4 out of 5 stars in general

ASTONS is a renowned steakhouse in Singapore, offering a delectable selection of chopped steak, grilled chicken, fish dishes with two side dishes for each menu. They also serve spaghetti, soups, giant burgers and small bite plates. The price range is reasonable considering the generous portions they offer. With locations at Myanmar Plaza and Junction City, ASTONS has been praised for its good taste and portion sizes despite pandemic restrictions. However, some customers have suggested providing more sauce options in the future.
One of the best chicken chops that I have even eaten. Will never go anywhere else for chicken chop.

ohh noo.... Feel so sad as to what has happened to this new place.. The quality has gone so low 1. Table water tastes off 2. Prices hiked a burger around 10000ks 3.bolognaise sauce - made on short cut methods by actually breaking beef burger patty bits and tremendous amount tomoto paste and sauce and some herbs to look..(not bolognaise at all) its myanmar tomato cury with beef patty pieces think the chef hasnt tasted a bolognaise in his life before.. 3. Funniest burger in town one layer 10000ks tiny patty... just look at the photos.. the photo is two layer Its hard with business these days im writing just want to let some responsible person know.. will remove this review after a response.. as I respect / understand businesses and how difficult these days.. not to complain... but defenitely will remove this review.. ✌✌

Very accessible to the hotel where I stayed and very near Bogyoke Market, Astons is a mid-tier kind of steak house akin to Royal Host maybe? I’ve never tried it in my several visits to Singapore, but I got to try it this time in Yangon. Unfortunately, the meat wasn’t very tender and had to rely on the sauces for taste. I guess you get what you pay for. Nevertheless, great dining environment and attentive staff. Customer service was great. A mid 3/5 for me.
Janno — Google review
Not been there quite long since pendamic restriction. Still good taste and portion as before but there were no HP sauce & Tabasco Sauce available when I asked for. Provided chilli sauce & ketchup only. Recommended to provide more sauces in future. The rest is ok and will visit again for sure.
Zin G — Google review
We had to wait a long time. The salad was not fresh. Brown and bruised leaves of lettuce. Brown, old cabbage... People don't eat food like that at their home. It's rubbish. The corn was not fresh, maybe packaged and reheated, I'm not sure, but not so nice, not fresh. The steak had nice flavour, but we asked for medium and it was medium rare. Which is not so bad, but this is supposed to be a steak house and they can't cook steak to our requested level. That is not good. And also they didn't start the steak on a hot grill, so it was weak and limp. Also not good. Amateur. I know the restaurant is from Singapore. And I know times are bad in Burma, but the menu gloats about their affordable prices. $100,000 + for one meal and a (cheaper) drink, is NOT affordable. I cannot recommend. Very poor.

Well, I could say it was my mistake to visit on their second day of reopening, haha!!! They were totally short-staffed, and it took at least 45 minutes to over an hour for the food to arrive. Located in a quiet street in Yangon's Bahan Township, Onyx is a popular meat-oriented restaurant that has been serving locals and tourists for nine years. Founded by Martin Shin, a Korean native, this spot is known for its succulent steaks and impressive wine selection. While the ambiance may not be its strong suit, the real draw here is the delicious steak at incredibly affordable prices.
You don't come here for the atmosphere, which would generously be described as grubby chic. You come here for the steak. By far the best I've eaten in Yangon, perfectly prepared, at criminally cheap prices. Nice salad, two steaks, and a bottle of wine for Ks25,000.
