5 stars Absolutely loved my experience at Rangoon Tea House! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, with a great mix of modern and traditional Burmese style. The food was delicious — full of flavor and clearly made with care. I especially enjoyed the tea selection and the thoughtful presentation of every dish. Service was friendly and professional throughout. One of the best places to eat in Yangon — highly recommended! There is also a smoking section by the outside table eating area.

Probably the best Burmese food restaurant you’ll have in downtown Yangon. They also have Indian cuisine-influenced food including bacon & cheese samosa, which I can’t get enough of, and chicken biryani. I also had crispy pork bowl and it was divine. Finished the entire bowl! Spent ~90k mmk on my meal but that was definitely for sharing! I wasnt able to finish the biryani. Preferably, you visit this place with family or friends and enjoy the food because the portions are definitely for sharing. :)

And incredible restaurant in central Yangon. I had heard a lot about this place in blogs online and it lived up to expectations. I went in the evening and vibe was chill, low mood lighting, art in the walls, wooden decor. The cocktail list was long, I tried several and they were all delicious. Menu was modern take on Burmese food. Highly recommend the pork noodles and tea infused cocktails. Staff were attentive and friendly, service was quick. Learned a lot about the history of the restaurant and of the city while there too!

As a foreigner in Myanmar amidst some uncertainty, Rangoon Tea House was a comforting gem in the heart of Yangon! The tea and food here are absolutely top-notch — easily the best I’ve had in the city. I especially loved the mohinga — rich, flavourful, and authentic. The ambience is stylish yet relaxed, and the service was warm and welcoming. If (and when) I return to Myanmar, this will definitely be one of my first stops again!

This is a fancy bar and restaurant with a stylish atmosphere. I tried a cocktail and a chocolate cake. The cocktail was quite good, and the chocolate cake looked amazing, but the flavor didn’t quite match its appearance—it was a bit underwhelming in taste. I’ve been a regular since around 2017. Waiting for the day it’d disappoint me, but that time hasn’t come yet. New bars and restaurants come and go in Yangon but we always go back to Babette. I think it as good as you can get in Yangon !! I’d always be thankful for the great times, good food and drinks and looking forward to many more ❤️

The food was really bad. The spaghetti seafood was not fresh, especially the prawns were so smelly like frozen one… I had to spit it out immediately… I also tried one octopus salad I couldn’t eat it because it didn’t taste good… The smoked salmon was so salty… The taste and freshness of the food was so bad that it was expensive… The food is so bland that if you don’t eat it right away, it can even cause food poisoning. I will never eat there again. Forever blacklisted.

One of the best European food in town. Food are very tasty, services are good and staff are friendly. Their famous G burger 🍔 and pork ribs are highly recommended. Beef steak is also my favourite one. Lunch set is quite reasonable price.

Food: Nan, grilled chicken and chicken curry are nice, but we were really disappointing by the simple dish as Dal. It is more like a yellow bean soip with burning smell. Will go an try next time again seeing the improvement.

Had a meeting with 15 friends having lunch. Indian style foods are delicious and crispy. Rooms are private, spacious and cool.

Must go place for noodle lovers. Love the over looking view of busy road. The service is great and the freshly make noodle is very delicious. Seeing chef making noodles in the kitchen is the best part while enjoying your noodle made by him.Love it. I wanna try all food here.

This is an awesome place to begin with. We paid 500 MMK for 2 people to get into the park in a taxi. The architecture is historic and truly royal, surrounded by a tranquil lake. Fantastic for photo- taking. I was here to celebrate my Scottish friend's birthday. Upon arrival at the restaurant, the staff said they never received my booking. I replied their website was not responsive, and I never received a confirmed booking reply. Also they give us a new number as the website is not updated. Even without booking, we can always walk in. On the website, the buffet and ala carte are available. In reality, only ala carte is available. The website also mentioned cultural show and harpist performance but they have stopped all those since they reopened. The food is traditional Burmese food, which you can get better ones anywhere outside the restaurant. We thought we could eat exquisite royal dishes. We have been in Myanmar for at least 3 years and know the foods here. So menu wise, it's a great disappointment. The desserts and drinks are the only thing we enjoyed. The desserts were served with rice forks, not dessert forks!! The buffet hall, which is the ballroom, is grander but closed to the public. I showed them a video clip made by a PRC YouTuber last year. The waiter said that was food testing. They actually reopened the restaurant this year after a long renovation. I suggest the management should expand their menu to include fusion foods in addition to the traditional Burmese foods as the Burmese diet may not suit foreigners due to the high salt, oil and chilli contents. The more varieties can attract corporate professionals. They need to put in more marketing efforts to attract customers.

I recently visited this place located right on a lake, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. The place is decorated like a royal palace dining hall, which makes the atmosphere feel very special. I went with my family, including my mom who uses a walking stick. As soon as the waiter saw her, he kindly came out to help, held her hand, and gently walked her to our table. His service was very thoughtful and caring throughout our visit. The food was delicious, and the plating was done beautifully. Prices are a bit high for locals, but considering the location, decoration, and service, it felt worth it. When we wanted to take a group photo, the waiter happily helped us and even took many pictures with different angles and zooms. Overall, it was a lovely experience with great food, a royal atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommended for special occasions or if you want to enjoy a nice meal with a beautiful view.

This place just reopened after being closed for a while. We came with a group and had the set lunch. The food was typical Burmese food eating with rice. Food was average, it's what you'll typically get in an eatery/tea shop. The decoration and architecture interesting, but it's not authentic or old, some might see it as kitsch-ish. I wouldn't go during lunch time if you want to take pictures outside because the sun was very hot. It's also located in a large park complex next to the lake so it's also cool to walk around without coming inside for food.

Golden Duck Restaurant. Duck is really golden with fragrant, juicy and tender but with great texture. Sauces were natural and good. Pork was falling apart tender, but still with flavor, and cooked in a slightjy soy sauce sharp broth but the went well with the good amount of fat from the pork. Fish head soup had natural flavors although it had some sharp salty and sour edges which actually was a good match with quail eggs.

It's an old school restaurant that has been around for many years. It mainly sells roasted duck, but other dishes are also good. It often offers takeaway. You have to wait for the parcel with a token.

But, The Kan Taw Mingalar Golden Duck is the best service and tastes of each others in their restaurant. And it area are together with the best paly ground in Yangon, " Happy World" and Garden.

My friend recommended me this restaurant for their signature duck . Most of the people come here for their roasted duck. Great service with family style ambience. Price is reasonable and menu comes with 3 different languages for tourist. If you visit Yangon , definitely don't miss out this great restaurant.

I always try not to compare the taste of food here with what I've had in better places. While the food is tasty, it doesn't quite stand out. Unfortunately, our order was missed, which was disappointing. It would be helpful if the order taker repeated the order to avoid such issues, so I don't end up waiting for food that never arrives while everyone else finishes their meal. The nachos were just floury and lacked the flavor that nachos should have. The pumpkin soup was a bit too sweet and not the thick, finely blended soup I was expecting. On the bright side, the pizza was decent and met the standard. Interestingly, they sell vapes here too! Unlike some places that put stickers on the bill after payment, this one just gave me back my change & receipt without the stickers. ⸻ Would you like to add anything else or make further adjustments?

Just checking out a few places in Yangon. This is a really nice bar , lots of space , great service and I had a snack which was very tasty. I left around 7.30 pm and the lance was till quite empty. Maybe it will get busy later. I would imagine this is a great bar when it’s busy . Will definitely visit again.

I didn't like their food for the first time but I was there last night and I tried it again. Oh the food is so tasty. Did I get drunk when I came here for dinner? I recommend a special parami pizza🍕.It is so different styles and crispy. They also have music band, Billiard table And Thank you for arranging our delicious dinner.

I had a great time chilling on a sunny afternoon here. The vibe is nice and the service is very attentive, all at a reasonable price. One of my favorite things about this place is the high ceiling of the colonial building. Highly recommend!

Catering western cuisine, but doing it brilliantly, the Union Burger, is exceptional, not just by Myanmar standards or Asian standards, this is a world class burger, it tastes great. This place has put a very big smile on my face for the rest of the day. Note to owner, don't change a thing! This is a large spacious redtaurant tastefully decorated, two story frontage floods in natural light in the afternoon making it a very pleasant spot, afternoon or evening. Union is easy to find, just down the street from the famous Strand Hotel facing the harbour.

One of best papaya salads in town!!! If you are Thai food lover, it’s worth to try this restaurant. Unlike as other Thai papaya salad from other restaurants, it is served with 3 layers pork fries, dried fish fries, pork roast and last but not least; soft boiled egg! My Fev part as meat lover. 😍 Price: Reasonable, not expensive. Service: Good. Best Location to sit: Rooftop (but there are mosquitoes when night becomes dark 😅)

We chose the 2nd floor opening space and quite relax. Stranglely not very expensive as I thought, just slightly expensive. Obviously cheaper than Shan Yoyar. I didn't order bottle so not sure about liquor pricing. Varity of beer choices. I will go back again. Notnl sure about weekend as last night was Monday night and not much people around.

It has three levels which are filled with air conditioning but if you wanna taste the natural air,rooftop opens from 4pm. Nice restaurant with cool rooftop terrace. Enjoyed a nice dinner and some good beer. Service was attentive and friendly, making this a pleasant evening. Prices are not cheap, but absolutely fair for the quality served. When the menu says spicy, it is indeed hot for an European taste, yet personally I absolutely loved it.

Place is crowded fully during breakfast time (9-10 AM) as it is small two story food center. I feel like Dim Sum here are not fresh as other Oriental House Restaurants. Maybe it is franchised since shop name is also other one. Service is not much good as well.

I have been a big fan of this place for more than ten years now. This place is not what it used to be anymore. The old oriental had great wait staff with great tasting food. Now, it is a shell of what it used to be. The tables are disgusting, the food is old and stale. The following picture is the food i was served which i refused to touch. They sold us day old food reheated. This is unbeliveably sad to look at.

Koji coffee beans are really great. I believe they are from Ywa Ngan a place in Shan state. Dim sum in the early morning is also great at the dim sum side. Recommend seaweed, salted egg and steamed pork.

One of the more popular dim sum houses in Yangon. A proper breakfast place. Clean and comfortable. Attentive waiters and waitresses. Good customer service. Moderate prices. Usually crowded in the mornings especially in weekends. Limited car parking space.

It is now changed to His.tori But still can get the authentic Oriental House dim-sum in the morning and the shop re open again in the evening 4:30 to serve Korean BBQ and Dim Sum as well! So it's the greatest combo ever ! I would give 4 out of 5 stars in general

I visited this place both dinner and breakfast. Menus items are great. Back in 2022, it has DJ lounge at second floor and it seems no more nowadays. Buffets breakfast are great. Spacious parking space. It's good place to chill at night as well. Highly recommend.

We had a buffet breakfast there and it is quite okay. The varieties are not that much but mutton bean curry with parata is super yummy.

Quite the latest happening joint above the Sushi Bar! It gets pretty loud and it's the liveliest I have seen in Yangon this year when it comes to partying. There's DJ booth upfront, pool tables and beer pong station as well as foosball I suppose. My favorite thing are the highly unique and insanely potent cocktails. I had a pretty unique "the bash pizza" which I will call very interesting! Definitely a great addition to the Yangon nightlife! I can't wait for the rooftop to open as it has a great view of the Shwedagone Pagoda!

We have their signature tofu nway(chickpea paste) with shan noodle,pork leg noodle soup, fried tofu and vegetable Hin htote ( steamed chive with rice paste). Good one and fair price.

This shop is a branch from Taung Gyi. Their best food is Tofu (soft tofu with noodle and fried tofu). Hin Htote is also good.

Very authentic and delicious Shan traditional noodles … Food portion is generous and price is reasonable compared to most shop … One thing to take note is they used loads of MSG and for someone like me who stayed away from MSG for a long time, suffered from terrible headache all day 😖

Recommend Shan Tofu noodle which I think one of the best in Yangon. Still the staffs need a lot of improvement for customer service.

Well, I could say it was my mistake to visit on their second day of reopening, haha!!! They were totally short-staffed, and it took at least 45 minutes to over an hour for the food to arrive. The dishes weren’t worth the wait—just mediocre. The cocktails tasted good, and the staff were nice, but I expected a lot more from this place.
