The 45 best places to go out in Yangon (Rangoon)

Perfect view to see Shwedagon Pagoda in the night. It is a good place for chilling with your friends on the rooftop. Music is very good. Beer and food are acceptable but sometimes, some items in menu are not served. Price is reasonable. We paid 70,000kyats for more ten cups of beer and 6 dishes. Spacious space, no noise. Parking is not available - you have to park on the street.

It's one of the few bars that plays slow and soft beat music. Mostly they play Westlife (Band) songs and other slow beat pop songs. So you can have a peaceful conversation with anyone you go with. Only give three stars because it has downsides. One of the things is it has no parking space. So you have to find an unsafe place to drop your car. Another bad thing is that the elevator is not usable. Since it is a rooftop bar, you can have some good scenery. You can see the Shwe Dagon pagoda clearly but another downside is that there is also a building beside which is higher and it makes you unable to watch the sunset from the bar. When talking about food and beverages, it's ok to eat. The price of the drinks ranges from $4-7. Services are good and I'll give 4 out of 5.

One of the three well known sky bars located in and around the Shwedagon Pagoda, Vista stands true to its name and certainly offers the most iconic view of the Pagoda. Vista is located about 4 floors up from its street side entrance and consists of 2 terraces, one such terrace offers that highly compelling view of the Shwedagon. During the dry season this terrace is open air (during rainy season it is enclosed by a canopy) and consists of three rows of seats and tables across. The terrace is serviced by two bars, one at either end. Modern commercial music like Demi Lovato was playing but the volume was thankfully not over powering. However, there were no prices on the menu, I recommend asking for the prices before committing to a purchase. Tiger draft was MMK 1,500. Also, since the signature of Vista is its view of the Pagoda, it was annoying that there were many staff members who continuously blocked the view either by walking around without purpose or by just standing and hence blocking the view of the Pagoda. All in all, certainly a place to check out for some nice night time photos of the Shwedagon Pagoda while enjoying a nice cold beer. However, there is very little alternative views (like a downtown skyline) to see from Vista. In my experience, a beer or two was sufficient before moving on.

Probably the best roof top bar view of Shwedagon in Yangon... Decent food and drinks at fair prices. Music needs improvement to lift the vibe but food and drinks are ok. Walk up stairs are a bit of a hassle Vs the new Freesia rooftop bar next door which has an elevator (but less impressive view). But overall a nice chill place to hang out and bring visitors wanting a nice nighttime view.

One of good bar in Yanggon with the view of Shwedagon Pagoda at the night time. Good to hangout with the friends after office of weekend. There are some improvements required such as toilet not clean and no light when I'm there and also bar is to dark, it hard to see the food or menu so have to use LED light from mobile phone.

Love the scenery which can view the night of Shwe Dagon Pagoda but is too dark to enjoy ur meal. The meal in the menu not available sometimes. Hope to improve the some desk light or candle.

A chic, discreet cocktail bar tucked away in the small lanes of Yangon. Great finger food, infused gins, burmese rum, and magnificent cocktails. Perfect for late night chats or a dim rendezvous!

From the outside the street seems quiet and innocuous. The bar itself, lit by a neon sign from the outside seems quietly tucked away and hidden. The charm of Hidden Tiger is in the excitement in opening the heavy and inconspicuous door which transports you from a quiet, empty and dimly lit Yangon street into an exciting bar which bears decor similar to a 1920s style speakeasy but with a Chinesesque flare. The bar is cosy and fun although a bit on the expensive side. The menu caters to many interests from cocktails to wine to beer. The music, while modern can be quite loud impairing conversation at times. A good bar for small groups of people. Recommended if you want to experience a change from Yangon's beer stations. All in all, guaranteed to be a fun experience going back in time, even if only for a couple of hours.

Joined the welcome back party of Group Bar manager Puia! Since Gekko in downtown, cocktails crafted by Puia were always different from other places. If you are looking for a good cocktail place, just follow where Puia works 😊😊😊 Gekko updated menu has lots of varieties of dishes even pizza, spaghetti in addition to their japanese menu. Teppanyaki in malar snd spicy sauces were really good. Black angus beef was tender and juicy, sashimi was so fresh!!! I would give overall score 3.5 because i missed the old gekko vibes 🤣🤣🤣 food and drinks were up to my palate though.

Might be cool place in the evening as they have outdoor seatings which obviously you can’t sit during the day with Yangon weather. The seatings inside are abit dark however the service is good. The waitress was helpful even though she looks new to the service industry. They play music loud perhaps they reduced the volume down when we requested. The food was ok. The ramen was salty despite being requested to reduce the saltiness.

This new location, situated in the spacious compound of Golden Valley, is a great improvement over their previous location. The food has definitely improved, and their signature cocktails were also delicious. While the servers were attentive, I did notice that the furniture upstairs was being moved quite roughly while we were sitting downstairs, which was a bit of a distraction. Nonetheless, I would still recommend checking out this spot! In a colonial building with high ceiling. The service was very nice. Ramen and cocktails were nice. Hope the food portions would be larger xD

One of the best meals we had in Myanmar. In a very nice Location, with great music. So go and enjoy the Gekko would be our verdict! Try the original new takes on classic drinks (Gekko G&T and Gekko Mojito), the main courses and desserts. We were not disappointed at all. Hello, again. Firstly, this Gekko restaurant is the same as Parami Pizza restaurant. Not many people knew and I recently found out about it. In Google map, it is written Gekko but all pizzas from parami pizza menu are available. So, let me share my review. I hope this helps for your future references. Car parking: it is okay for 5-6 cars. When it is crowded, you will have to park outside in the street. Food: I ordered a pizza of 2 toppings - cheese pizza and mushroom pizza. It took about 40 minutes for the pizza to come. The taste is the most similar to authentic Italian cheese pizza. You can say it is a brother to a real Italian pizza (this is what an Italian said) lol.. from my asian review, it tasted simple and delicious. Atmosphere: since I dined at an indoor table, it was dark and small. Honestly, they could decorate it in lighter and more positive version. I felt it had negative vibes since it was dark and quiet. No windows. Service: the waiters are friendly. They smile and they are ready to assist you at any time. Overall, it was pretty good. I had a good experience with the food and the car parking space (it was not crowded). The location was easy to be found in Google map. The pizza was amazing. I wish they had done the place a bit brighter so that it brings more coziness and light in the place. Hope my review helps. Chao!

Superb, a warm welcome with a cold towel. Take a break from the hot colonial history outside to the new Burmese avant-garde in this modern yet classy take on a Japanese styled bar restaurant. From the leather saddle seats to the soft elegant lighting this place seduces you away from the culture and history outside the door. Menu is really nice take on Japanese fusion.

Loved this place! Should be on your top three list of spots to hit when in Yangon. The atmosphere is really cool and perfect for a cozy and stylish evening. Make a reservation in advance because it is a popular spot. The warm sake and the craft cocktails are highly recommended. The Korean chicken, the fried chicken and the Edamame should be on your list. The service was good and the food was really good Couple -'s We were decapointed in the tofu rice dish, no taste. We wish that the staff would have been better at refilling drinks or asking if we wanted more.

5 stars Absolutely loved my experience at Rangoon Tea House! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, with a great mix of modern and traditional Burmese style. The food was delicious — full of flavor and clearly made with care. I especially enjoyed the tea selection and the thoughtful presentation of every dish. Service was friendly and professional throughout. One of the best places to eat in Yangon — highly recommended! There is also a smoking section by the outside table eating area.

A nice place for all day dinings. Variety of food from Chinese dim sum, Burmese food, and international breakfast. They are famous for tea and tea leaves. Cheesecake is also recommended.

Probably the best Burmese food restaurant you’ll have in downtown Yangon. They also have Indian cuisine-influenced food including bacon & cheese samosa, which I can’t get enough of, and chicken biryani. I also had crispy pork bowl and it was divine. Finished the entire bowl! Spent ~90k mmk on my meal but that was definitely for sharing! I wasnt able to finish the biryani. Preferably, you visit this place with family or friends and enjoy the food because the portions are definitely for sharing. :)

And incredible restaurant in central Yangon. I had heard a lot about this place in blogs online and it lived up to expectations. I went in the evening and vibe was chill, low mood lighting, art in the walls, wooden decor. The cocktail list was long, I tried several and they were all delicious. Menu was modern take on Burmese food. Highly recommend the pork noodles and tea infused cocktails. Staff were attentive and friendly, service was quick. Learned a lot about the history of the restaurant and of the city while there too!

As a foreigner in Myanmar amidst some uncertainty, Rangoon Tea House was a comforting gem in the heart of Yangon! The tea and food here are absolutely top-notch — easily the best I’ve had in the city. I especially loved the mohinga — rich, flavourful, and authentic. The ambience is stylish yet relaxed, and the service was warm and welcoming. If (and when) I return to Myanmar, this will definitely be one of my first stops again!

Basement Bar delivers a hybrid bar / house party / nightclub experience the likes of which is uncommon to the Yangon nightlife scene. As the name suggests 'Basement' is located 1 floor below its ground entrance. Coming in from the street entrance the walk past a small corridor and into the bar below is an exciting experience in and of itself. I went on a Saturday night and there was a DJ playing. The bar was pretty busy but started to kick off from about 10:00pm. On another Saturday night there was a live band playing mostly Burmese songs. Basement has a distinctive 'H' design where the DJ was in the right side and patrons were in the left side room. I feel that the bar could make more use of its space and perhaps include high stools and/or tables in the DJ room as it was open and unused space making the other room packed. Also, I feel that some bar stools at the bar would be a welcome addition since there were none there, and, at 10:00 pm on a Saturday night seats are much needed. In the absence of bar stools, lone patrons really have no option on where to sit as the seats and tables generally cater to group arrangements. I ordered a Myanmar beer for MMK1,500. This was served in a plastic cup. I feel that the plastic cups take away from the bar experience and glasses would have been better. The bar has only one toilet, given the amount of patrons, more toilets would be welcomed All in all, I believe that if and when licensing restrictions on opening hours are relaxed, the Yangon nightlife culture expands and if a few improvements (such as those mentioned above) are made, then Basement Bar will surely offer a top class underground bar/nightclub experience.

Not expensive, reasonable cocktails from 4000 kyats, nice vibe and chatter. Friendly service too. Please, please, please: stop the smoke! We had to leave, it was just too smokey to stay for more than 15 minutes. If that's the local culture, then so be it, but for the sake of the health of your visitors, please install extractor fans or stop smoking in a confined space. It's not good for your employees health who work in this environment all day and night.

You never forget a first. It was our first beer in Myanmar after a 36 hour trip. Came down and realised we hit the jackpot. Because if anything says Good night with a capital g, it's a nice environment, nice smiling hosts some nice bites and a tall pitcher of cool brew. Came there twice more and always left in a good mood.

Very nice place to hang out with friends. Luckily we ended up with live band and we got great time. Price is very reasonable and foods are also above the average. Definitely we will go back there when we get a chance.

This place was pretty terrible. Music was waaaay too loud, and not that great tbh. The service was also kind of trash—asked three times to get the bill before we finally had to go to the front to force our money upon them (so that we could escape and save our ears from bleeding as quickly as possible).

This place is actually really badass. Great night club vibe with a great DJ. If not for the 11pm curfew I could see this becoming one of the pioneering bars in the Yangon night scene. Westerners welcome.

I always try not to compare the taste of food here with what I've had in better places. While the food is tasty, it doesn't quite stand out. Unfortunately, our order was missed, which was disappointing. It would be helpful if the order taker repeated the order to avoid such issues, so I don't end up waiting for food that never arrives while everyone else finishes their meal. The nachos were just floury and lacked the flavor that nachos should have. The pumpkin soup was a bit too sweet and not the thick, finely blended soup I was expecting. On the bright side, the pizza was decent and met the standard. Interestingly, they sell vapes here too! Unlike some places that put stickers on the bill after payment, this one just gave me back my change & receipt without the stickers. ⸻ Would you like to add anything else or make further adjustments?

Just checking out a few places in Yangon. This is a really nice bar , lots of space , great service and I had a snack which was very tasty. I left around 7.30 pm and the lance was till quite empty. Maybe it will get busy later. I would imagine this is a great bar when it’s busy . Will definitely visit again.

I didn't like their food for the first time but I was there last night and I tried it again. Oh the food is so tasty. Did I get drunk when I came here for dinner? I recommend a special parami pizza🍕.It is so different styles and crispy. They also have music band, Billiard table And Thank you for arranging our delicious dinner.

I had a great time chilling on a sunny afternoon here. The vibe is nice and the service is very attentive, all at a reasonable price. One of my favorite things about this place is the high ceiling of the colonial building. Highly recommend!

Wow, amazing restaurant. Top for taste, taste in food, taste in beverages, taste in decor, taste in music, all delivered by attentive, polite and efficient staff. Catering western cuisine, but doing it brilliantly, the Union Burger, is exceptional, not just by Myanmar standards or Asian standards, this is a world class burger, it tastes great. This place has put a very big smile on my face for the rest of the day. Note to owner, don't change a thing! This is a large spacious redtaurant tastefully decorated, two story frontage floods in natural light in the afternoon making it a very pleasant spot, afternoon or evening. Union is easy to find, just down the street from the famous Strand Hotel facing the harbour.

This is the best place to buy gifts or souvenirs. They offer anything from traditional garments, shirts and polos (I bought a few and they’re of good quality!), jewelry, paintings, and other trinkets. Definitely a must go place for tourists wanting to see handmade local crafts and souvenirs!

Traditional market but it was not a happy feeling after I got back in the hotel checking my purchases. After converting what I’ve paid for 5 items I bought, surely I paid 3X for what it should be. I just wish people or sellers are honest and will not do their dirty tricks to earn more. This type of experience shoo tourist away to buy. Sad, because I’m sure not all sellers are bad and must have decent sellers out there. Negative experience from visiting this market for me but in a positive note, I hope what I paid extra, helped them in a way. Overall, it is a place to buy souvenirs. I really enjoyed my visit to Bogyoke Aung San Market! It’s a great place to walk around and explore, with so many interesting shops selling jewelry, gemstones, handicrafts, and beautiful Burmese fabrics. There’s also a good mix of souvenirs and local products, so it’s perfect for picking up something unique. The market has a lively but relaxed atmosphere, and the vendors are friendly and not too pushy. If you enjoy bargaining, you can get some great deals! There are also food stalls where you can try some local snacks. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Yangon! I’d love to come back and explore more.

Bogyoke Aung San Market in Yangon is an exceptional market, even for someone who isn’t usually a fan of touristy markets. It’s well-organized, making it easy to browse, and the selection is impressive. You’ll find beautiful items at reasonable prices, from jewelry and textiles to souvenirs. It’s a pleasure to explore, with a clean and orderly setup that sets it apart from many other markets. Definitely worth a visit!

Huge bustling market which is a lot of fun to simply just wander around or pick up souvenirs and really anything else you'd ever want to buy. It can be a bit daunting to find your way around, but it's perfectly safe and there are always lots of other tourists wandering around as well. I bought a couple souvenirs and found prices were totally reasonable without needing to bargain beforehand.

Could be popular with foreigners as you get to see the food before ordering. Food is served at room temperature as is the case with most Burmese restaurants. Bring your own microwave if that's a problem. My visits years ago was 5* but quality seemed not as good this time around.

Some of them are delicious. The rest are above average. But they use clean cooking oil.

You just pick what you want over the counter. The waitress serving me was helpful. She tried to explain the dishes to me. The food is slightly warmed up but at least it's clean. Similar to other Burmese i had. I love the green tea!

Great reputation. Great variety of food. Service is ok. Demand is high and often lead to slow service. Sometimes you are informed that the menu you ordered is not available after 5-10 minutes. Bathroom is small but clean. A bit pricey.

The best restaurant in Yangon. The food is consistently excellent, creative and the menu evolves all the time. The service is top notch and the place itself is absolutely gorgeous. SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge 🐈‍⬛ This restaurant was recommended to us to visit, and it didn’t disappoint. A fine dining close to nature, a welcoming resident cat called Prince, exquisite dishes, professional hospitality team, and generous Chefs! I like how the infused spirits were displayed. The view of the garden by the lake. Surprisingly, the cat is from Malaysia and the European owners of this restaurant used to live in Borneo. The restaurant is set in the most lovely location right by Inya Lake, and diners could take it all in from the comfort of the air-conditioned indoor sitting area thanks to the ceiling-to-floor glass windows. The 3-course set lunch at US$29 is a steal, and there were complimentary amuse bouche and petit fours as well as a box of chocolates to bring home. The dishes were well executed, but my favourite was the 3 different types of bread that they served. The cocktail was great too. The wait staff were attentive and the chef even came to greet us.

If we had eaten lunch or had a proper meal, then it would have been better. We opted for afternoon tea vibe with desserts & coffee ☕️. The desserts were just okay. Cocktail is okay too. But the most disappointing was coffee ☕️ especially the cup & also the taste of Latte. Pls upgrade your coffee cups to proper ones & probably use a better coffee espresso machine. $9 for a latte coffee is a put off ….. least to say it tastes like instant + milk mix in terms of taste profile. But the view of the venue is good & has a chill vibe. Service was good too. Kind & friendly staffs.

Good restaurant in an old Villa Bath. There is a room where the late General Aung San, the Freedom flighter for Burma used as an office. The food is good as well as the service.

Great authentic Burmese food. The place has great ambience and history memories. It was Aung San office in the past. The curry pork, steam fish and seafood dishes were excellent 😍 The staff were very friendly too. Full of locals and tourists. It is a worth dinner place to visit and relax. However, the toilet is a bit creepy at night with an old bath tub in there 😱

As a first time traveller in this city, House of Memories is one of the bucket list. The have many Burmese and some Thai and international selection menu from Seafoods to meat dishes. The coriander seafood was really good, best with jasmine rice. The pineapple juice, however was not very good. Staffs were all very attentive, efficient and polite.

This is a fancy bar and restaurant with a stylish atmosphere. I tried a cocktail and a chocolate cake. The cocktail was quite good, and the chocolate cake looked amazing, but the flavor didn’t quite match its appearance—it was a bit underwhelming in taste. It’s a nice spot for drinks, but the desserts might be more about presentation than flavor.

This restaurant is located on the ground floor of Hotel G. Although it claims to serve Mediterranean cuisine, the food is actually more American in style. The decor is very American too, and the background music features U.S. pop hits. It can be a bit noisy, but it’s still possible to have a conversation without raising your voice. The food itself would get about 3.5 out of 5. The ambiance, however, is a highlight. It's clean, stylish, and there’s a bar area that recreates the feel of a typical Western bar—cozy and vibrant, very much like what you'd find in the U.S. I’d rate the atmosphere between 4 and 4.5 out of 5. Service is okay—not quite at the level of a high-end Western restaurant, but staff do check in occasionally to see how the food is, which is appreciated. Overall, I’d give this place a solid 4 out of 5. The environment is its strong point, while the food is just average and slightly overpriced. In Yangon, there aren’t many places like this, so it still stands out in its niche. If you care about value for money, the rating would drop below 4. But if you're not concerned about the cost and want a Western-style experience, 4 stars feels fair.

I’ve been a regular since around 2017. Waiting for the day it’d disappoint me, but that time hasn’t come yet. New bars and restaurants come and go in Yangon but we always go back to Babette. I think it as good as you can get in Yangon !! I’d always be thankful for the great times, good food and drinks and looking forward to many more ❤️

The food was really bad. The spaghetti seafood was not fresh, especially the prawns were so smelly like frozen one… I had to spit it out immediately… I also tried one octopus salad I couldn’t eat it because it didn’t taste good… The smoked salmon was so salty… The taste and freshness of the food was so bad that it was expensive… The food is so bland that if you don’t eat it right away, it can even cause food poisoning. I will never eat there again. Forever blacklisted.

One of the best European food in town. Food are very tasty, services are good and staff are friendly. Their famous G burger 🍔 and pork ribs are highly recommended. Beef steak is also my favourite one. Lunch set is quite reasonable price.

I went there as the wedding ceremony. The garden area is pleasant as the lake is beside it. But it was a bit hot as I went there in summer. The food is good and delicious but the portion is a little bit small for me. It is just my opinion and maybe it is ceremony dinner. Overall, it was a good place to dine in.

Really lovely restaurant operating as a training restaurant for locals. The food and service was wonderful. Decor was really well done mixing old and new. Get a seat outside on the garden if you can. Also, the training staff make their money through tips so be generous.

This is a western restaurant with a gourmet setup. The waitresses are very aware and polite and do a good job. The dishes are kind of small but 3 courses make you full. The food is decent not the best i have had. I think i needs more flavor - the meat though were perfectly cooked. The restaurant is a training center where young people who cant afford an education can come into training for 11 months. The food was quiet expensive. 41.000 kyats for 3 courses. You have to pay extra tips to make sure chefs in training get an income. Not really sure how to rate this restaurant - is it a charity meal? A gourmet meal? An ordinary restaurant meal or?

Traditional Shan food in a nice and clean environment with friendly staffs. Portions are huge! Liked their fish, but taste of the steamed tofu wasn’t my cup of tea. Suggest to visit their main branch instead which has a nicer building and environment.

First experience with Shan state's food. Although the ingredients are common such as corn, mung beans, egg plants and rice, the process taken to cook the dishes is laborious. Set meals at affordable prices are available. Must try if you are in Yangon, Myanmar. Price may be comparatively steeper than the foodstalls in the city. One of the best local food in Yangon. They serve food from Shan State, a minority group in Myanmar, we love the sea bass on tamarind sauce and the eggplant curry. Their version of mashed potato is also good. It's always full in lunch time, i suggest making a reservation.

Visited for Yunan hotpot happy hour. 25% discount on every Sunday in July. Even the small pot which cost 35,000 mmk is enough for 3/4 person. Premium shan food. The resturant decoration is elegant and staffs are helpful. The taste of the dishes are on point. Price is a bit high for Shan food but worth paying.

Simply superb. Was apprehensive to try Shan cuisine but after tasting it, I was amazed. The flavours are very unique. It's hard to compare it to other types of Asian cooking ~ ie Thai, Malay, Indian or Chinese. I guess it's the nature of the spices and ingredients they use that gives Shan food an interesting taste signature. The Shan chicken curry is a hot-and-sour delight. A must try is the Fish in Bamboo leaves, simply yummy. The steamed mushroom is also pretty delicious. The best dish for us was the crispy pork rinds ~ it comes with bits of fat and meat on each piece, and melts on your mouth. Even the simple mixed vegetables was good. The sauce is very tangy with a zing. One unique dish that I found strange was the pounded bananna buds, eaten with a twist of lime. The fish soup was ok, came with an extremely bitter spice condiment. It combined well to highlight the taste. Lastly, everything was washed down with the excellent but under-rated Myanmar larger beer. Two thumbs up. Highly recommended.

We ordered a lot as we were so hungry. We liked 60% of food items. I'd like to recommend grilled pork belly and mixed raw seafood salad which we enjoyed the most. Some waiters and waitress were fine but some were not. One waitress didn't know how to take care of spilled green tea after serving. We complained about that. We liked the atmosphere except the setting of the tables which are close to each other.

Good Choice for Thai Cuisine Lovers! Really satisfied with quick order arrival (it just took about 10 mins for 15 ppl). Almost all dishes we ordered were delicious with good enough portions; especially Beef Ginger, Pork Liver (we tried it with Fried with Garlic and cooked with mint, both delicate and tasty) and Grilled Pork Neck. Papaya Salad is also good. But Northeastern Pork Sausage (Sour & Spicy), Grilled Chicken (a bit soft and more alike steamed ones) and Mango Sticky Rice (coconut milk is not tasted like real and too sweet, mango and sticky rice is good though) are not my taste. Place is fully packed at dinner time and parking space is a bit narrow.

A fantastic place to buy the veggie, fruit and flower. It's the first time to see the whole process of fish paste. The use the salt to marinade the fish, the fish packed and let it dry during the process, after this peocess with fermantation. Thes fish were mixed with some mixture to form the final product.

One of the best rooftop bar in town. The prices are fair and I loved their fried noodle . The staffs are pretty friendly as well but being only one toilet bothers customers sometimes.

Lovely old colonial hotel. Bar has a very posh feeling about it but welcomed in with my shorts and flip flops. Got there at 16:45, just before happy hour on the Friday. But they priced all my drinks as happy hour half price. Ended up paying around £12.50 for three large, one small beer and a cocktail. Aircon got a bit cold once it got dark out.

I would prefer a simpler menu...had a hard time identifying which was their best seller and asked their waitstaff to recommend. They recommended this korean chicken so sure we ordered. Had a trio of sourness with their signature korean fried chicken. Sauce is sour, pickles are sour, kimchi yogurt was sour. To that we had two tacos, the taco skin was thick and brittle.

Nice and cozy place to hangout with the loved ones. The burger taste really good .. 18000MMK as time of writing is worth the eat.

Back in Ygn and checked out the new port autonomy bar following a recommendation. I was disappointed with the new decor, looked a bit cheap, preferred the look of Union bar back then. I was there for an event with a dj and it just wasn't happening so we moved to PH rooftop.

Didn't go much to the Union Bar recently but I can say the place was much nicer before. The new design is cheap and looks cheap. Did not want to go back to this place again but went to meet a friend there last few weeks ago who was already there. When i arrived I was very happy to hear the friend wanted to move on as he also did not like that space. So we move to a proper place for a friday night... This place Port Autonomy is ugly and has no style. Skip it !

A regular customer since its first days on the the jetty until now in its permanent home on Strand road, I can easily say that this restaurant hosts the best parties with the most inventive fusion menu in Yangon. The staff also knows how to take care of you. If you’re looking for good fun, great food, excellent music and to make fun memories in Yangon - this is the spot!

Went here and tried out some really good Myanmar food. The food is really good quality and the service is fantatic. We tried 3 different curries from across Myanmar and really enjoyed them all. The toilet is western standard and very clean. At the end of the meal we recieved a plate of traditional palm sugar and watermelon. Really tasty and really complimentary to the meal. My children ate these so quickly and the staff, watching my children scoff them down, gave is another plate and also some to take away. The price is superb value for such good quality food and service.. The air conditioning works very well

Nice little place, clean, hygenic and tasty food. The staff speaks English and are attentive to you. They are also being trained as part of their hospitality skills. The interior is simple and nice. I could snooze post-lunch if they had a hammock.

The location of Tharkayta Crocodile farm not actually. It have been close since Covid19 period. Hoping to reopen soon.

This place is a real thrill! It is easy to walk around and the sheer amount of crocodiles is impressive. The staff are friendly, for a small fee (1000 kyats) for a bowl of fish, you can feed the crocs and see them chomp on it - it’s an adrenaline rush and super cool. You can also hold a baby croc - this place is awesome and worth a visit.

Look for the neon sign at street level, as the lift is situated here. There's a large, open area upstairs, and plenty of tables. It was quiet the night we visited, but there looked to be a decent stage, dance floor and even a dancing pole! Shame we weren't here on a Friday, it would be fun to come back!

Nice enough. It's on a roof... That's nice. It also has a few different Burmese beers. The fashion show was... interesting, but uncoordinated. Mostly lady boys though working the area :( .

Visited for the Friday movie night. They only offered two special drinks for the occasion. It would be nice if they allowed guests to bring their own bottle. Overall, it seems like a fun spot to hang out with your date or friends and enjoy a rooftop movie experience.

Love what they did with the place. Unlike other fancy rooftops, this one is more casual and you instantly feel at home, relaxed. Riuji the manager was very friendly and made sure we had a great time with my friends. If you want something different from trendy rooftops, go there! It's also reasonably priced. Hoping to try some food on my next visit.

5 years of loving this place. Whoever you decided to put behind the bar tonight is one of the single worst bartenders I have ever encountered. The attitude was outrageous. Him x1, me times 30. Please, never have him again. Really.

We ordered foods and it took around 1 hour to get it. Although the shop was literally empty. Views are good tho.

We went here looki g for a rooftop bar. The place on the 8th floor was in virtual darkness with only 2 other customers in there. There was no music, no atmosphere and no reason to return. The entrance was accessed along a hotel corridor - at least the residents would not be disturbed by too many revellers passing their doors. The beer was pricier than in the next nearest rooftop bar on the 20th floor, which has music, lots of atmosphere and an interesting mix of customers. Not worth the effort of going unless you are spending more than a few days here and wish to ring the changes.

Underrated and really good value for money.

Well, I could say it was my mistake to visit on their second day of reopening, haha!!! They were totally short-staffed, and it took at least 45 minutes to over an hour for the food to arrive. The dishes weren’t worth the wait—just mediocre. The cocktails tasted good, and the staff were nice, but I expected a lot more from this place.

Food taste is not good enough but the atmosphere’s great. They accept card, cash, kpay. Hopefully food quality will improve when next time visit ✌️

Close to our hotel and the service is nice. Drink is good too….but cocktail is a little bit sweet…convenient and chill!

Very good salads and snacks. We had a good lunch except for the curries. Skip the green and red curry. The rest was fine.
