Located in Kuching, Sarawak's capital city, The Junk is a top choice for a romantic fine dining experience. This restaurant is part of the city's exceptional charm and offers an implausible past that sets it apart from other Malaysian cities. The location of the restaurant makes it convenient for visitors to explore nearby attractions such as Kuching Wetlands National Park and Sarawak Cultural Village.
Such an interesting place to visit and have a meal. Food is well prepared and huge portions. Western cuisine. The pizza is really good. Managed to try the chicken chop, fish and chips and pizza only.
Irene C — Google review
The Junk offers a unique dining experience with its interesting and eclectic decorations. The food is delicious, with large portions, so it’s best to share with friends and family. A great spot for a hearty meal in a cozy setting.
Joseph K — Google review
The Junk Restaurant in Kuching is truly a gem and one of the city’s must-visit dining spots. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and inviting filled with rustic charm and a cozy, artistic vibe that makes the whole experience extra special. It’s a place that perfectly combines great food with a unique ambience. The dishes here are outstanding. I was especially impressed with their Duck Mango Salad light, refreshing, and bursting with flavors. The combination of tender duck with sweet mango and a zesty dressing was simply unforgettable. Another highlight was the Lamb Shank, which was cooked to perfection. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, rich in flavor, and paired wonderfully with the sides. Both dishes were a perfect showcase of the chef’s skill and creativity. On top of that, the portions are generous, the presentation is beautiful, and you can tell that a lot of attention goes into every detail. Service was also excellent, the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Overall, The Junk is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. Whether you’re a local or a visitor in Kuching, it’s definitely worth coming here for a memorable meal. Highly recommended and I’ll certainly be back again!
Tan S — Google review
The Junk in Kuching has good food, and those who enjoy antique style décor might find the atmosphere appealing. However, it wasn’t quite my style. The service was decent, but overall, the experience didn’t fully meet my expectations.
Naim Z — Google review
Very friendly service. The portions are quite large. We asked for half portions as not to waste food and Mari kindly did so. Also they have a great wine selection to chose from.
Paul V — Google review
This was the most amazing restaurant experience I've ever had. My family and I travelled around Malaysia for three weeks, and this was by far the greatest place we ate. The service was quick and easy, and the staff were very polite. The atmosphere was beautiful and family friendly. And most importantly, the food was fantastic! The menu was extremely big and offered a wide selection of dishes. I had a smoked salmon pizza which was incredible and the rest of my family spoke highly of their meals as well. Overall, an amazing place to eat, and a beautiful environment to eat in.

What a discover!! Superb place, great people, nice selection of drinks and the owner is so awesome!! I will definitely come back.

Fusion restaurant
Zinc Restaurant & Bar is a popular spot in the heart of Sarawak's bustling city, offering a global culinary experience with a Mediterranean menu infused with local flavors. It has become a favorite among Kuching's trendsetting crowd, known for dishes like pork paella and chorizo sausage cooked in tuak liquor. The restaurant satisfies patrons seeking Western cuisine and offers an extensive selection of main courses featuring chicken, pork, beef, and seafood.
Our favourite meal in Kuching. Really good Western food and cocktails with a variety of options and a cool vibe. Our drinks and food all came really quickly and tasted absolutely delicious - can’t fault it. The service was fantastic, our waitress was really friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for something a bit different in Kuching.
Lily W — Google review
The food was nice but not the best that I have tasted in Kuching but then my palate likes more traditional local kinds of food. Personally speaking, the laksa pizza was interesting to try but not something that I would not want to order again because I would like to try the other flavours, if I do venture here again. But then that is my own opinion. Please do try it perhaps you might like it. Overall dining experience was pleasant so it is worth a try if you want something different and more adventurous. I came here because my children gave me an outing.
Anne S — Google review
Visited this restaurant many times , almost always for the creamy brandy pasta and the toast skagen. The general vibe of this place is chill and relaxing , making it a great dinner spot after a hard day at work. I would also like to give a shoutout to Chris , he is honestly one of the best servers in Sarawak. He is attentive, prompt and always gives recommendations and asks for feedback on the food 👍👍👍hope this guy gets a raise for going above and beyond 👍👍

A truly heartwarming experience at Zinc Restaurant & Bar in Kuching! I came here for a solo dinner and was immediately uplifted by the welcoming atmosphere and the radiant smile of the waiter—it’s rare to feel so cared for as a solo diner. I had the prawn soup and prawn pasta, and both were absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and full of comfort. As the founder of Universe Nature Healer (UNH Art & Wellness Center In KL), I believe in creating spaces where people can feel nourished not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Zinc offered exactly that—a little oasis of kindness, flavor, and positive energy. I left not only full, but genuinely happy. Thank you for the beautiful food and even more beautiful service. If you’re ever in Kuching, treat yourself to this gem!

Excellent experience here - genuinely best meal I’ve had in Kuching, far beyond what I expected. Cream catalana to die for. Service was also very fast and efficient. Waiter also helped explain the components behind the dishes when I asked (because they were so good).

Ok, so this is probably the best coffee place in Sarawak. A wide variety of different beans from around the world. Also local Sarawak coffee. You can probably spend half a day here.
Clifton H — Google review
Great coffee, tasty beverages, and a cozy vibe. Perfect for relaxing or catching up—friendly staff and quick service make it even better!
Joseph K — Google review
Good coffee, but bring hearing protection. The patrons are generally quiet, but the exhaust from the coffee roasting is causing an extremely unpleasant ringing in the dining area. Seriously bring your earplugs when they are roasting, it's shocking. Other than that, the coffee is excellent. Wish they offered the cold brew coffee without added sugar.
Johnathan M — Google review
Great place to grab coffee. For drinks, we ordered the tuxedo latte & pecan iced latte. Both taste good and smooth. They have in-house roastery, sell variety types of beans (in house blend & single origin), tea cascara and coffee tools. The staff are also very friendly & helpful if you have any questions about their products. Overall, we had a good time here. Highly recommend for those who would appreciate specialty coffee house
Mariam — Google review
Nice place but maybe shorten the list of beans for pourover and establish a 1.15~1.45% TDS percentage standard to adhere to? Beans and pourover are not really that good. The cakes are fantastic. Coffee I'd been drinking for years and it's still there..

This is my third time visiting this branch. Nice lunch session with my siblings here, the very nice staff named Ms Amelia and Ms Martha done their good job. 5 stars service with good foods. I love the sausages here very much. The portion is big enough for 4 of us. Highly recommended… ❤️❤️❤️

Miza & Eme were very friendly when serving us. Few items on the plates were alilbit salty (at least for me and my wifey) ; Grilled prawns, mussels, calamansi squid . The sausages and fish fillet were delicious. Portion is big. Overall a fun dining experience.

Western restaurant
The Round Tower 1886 Cafe & Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a variety of delicious food options. Guests can pre-book and savor the fresh oysters along with other delectable dishes such as Australian premium striploin and grilled salmon. The wild mushroom soup with truffle oil is a perfect choice, and reservations are recommended for seasonal items. Additionally, the restaurant is praised for its sautéed greens and wine selection, making it a great place to indulge in culinary delights.
Tried the special Hainanese chicken rice—flavorful, tender, and clearly made with heart by the chef. The space has a warm, heritage feel, blending tradition with comfort. Plus, the waiter was super friendly… and not gonna lie, pretty handsome too. Definitely worth a visit!
Jordan J — Google review
Lovely place. Sat upstairs. Lovely night. Limited selection of wine, but available when asked. Had garlic prawns (very good - with toasted bread), lamb gula apong (not too sweet, so nicely balanced) and an excellent beef strip loin (medium rare as requested). Fabulous, attentive and generous service.
Jennifer W — Google review
We had the Kampung Fried Rice, Fried Calamari, Gula Apong Lamb Loin, Fish and Chips, Beef Bolognese Pasta, Soup, and some drinks. The fried rice was fragrant and tasty, though slightly dry and clumpy, while the fried chicken served with it was good, crispy on the outside and moist inside. The Fish and Chips stood out; the fish was tender and flaky, and the chef’s special tartar sauce added a nice tangy kick. The calamari, especially the tentacles, was a bit chewy. The lamb loin was a bit dry, and the Bolognese had a faint sour hint, possibly from the cheese. Overall, the flavours from each dish were good and quite unique, Western cuisine with a nice fusion of local taste that sets it apart. The setting is wonderful, as the restaurant is housed in the historic Round Tower from 1886, giving it a lovely old-world charm. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making the meal enjoyable. The wooden floor on the second level creaks a little when you walk, but it adds character to the experience. The bill came to around RM430, a little on the high side, but I like to think of it as you’re paying for the experience of dining in a 139-year-old building.
Melvin J — Google review
We ordered the signature Gulai Lamb dish, the Buttery Salted Egg Pasta and the seafood stew. The Lamb was cooked decently, not overcooked. However, the Gulai flavour was very subtle so it didn't stand out to us. Seafood stew was alright, good portion of seafood! The salted egg pasta was disappointing; it was overly sweet and the salted egg flavour was practically non-existent. At the price we paid for, I expected to see real salted egg bits, but it seems like the restaurant used ready-made salted egg powder. Hope improvements can be made so that the price of the dishes reflect the quality of the ingredients used.
Rosetta — Google review
The 1886 beef burger exceeded my expectations, no stinky meat taste. Sweet potato fries for side dishes are not too salty and well seasoned. The mango duck salad is the best salad with the perfect pairing of pomegranates and mango cubes. Basically all the dishes are huge portions and delicious. Restaurant crews are friendly and accommodating. The layout of the restaurant reminds me of the old heritage laidback vibe which is perfect for a cozy evening outing and quiet gathering.
Elaine — Google review
Coffee sedap. Casava chips is the favorite. Location strategic, yet not crowded, boleh duduk minum dgn tenang. The waiter so nice and friendly. Keep up good work guys,

Howdy Grillhouse is a Western-themed restaurant that offers an immersive experience reminiscent of the wild, wild West. Specializing in grills and barbecues, they serve up delicious chicken chops, pork platters, and delectable steaks that keep locals coming back for more. Located at Brighton Square in Kuching, this establishment has garnered praise for its enjoyable atmosphere and fast, friendly service.
Ive been to two Howdy branches here and Saradise, but this one is much much better. I ate here twice and both times the foods are the bomb, excellent services, and the price is very reasonable with the portion. Omg dont let me start with the portion. It is HUGEEEE. Will definitely come here again with my family.

Was not impressed with the food. Especially the Potato salad cost Rm17.80 excl sst served in such small portion and it looked way different than in the menu book. Pork ribs not bad, but pork belly skin was so burnt so dark so it tasted very bitter. Price wise it’s pricey for overall experience.
王希之 — Google review
I went there for my birthday dinner. We got free pork ribs. The service quite okay and they were very helpful. The food not really wow me because that day my sauce quite salty and my meat quite cold even just service. I hope they improve this in future. The pork ribs were fine. There is no wow factor. I am sorry gotta be honest about this. The drinks were nice and delicious.

2nd time dinner at here. I had a great time ! The food is so tasty! I love how well they served their customers. Their toilet is clean. They provided cashless payment too! Will try another menu next time🥰Might have difficulty to look car parking. Overall, it is a good experience having nice dinner at this place❤️

Came here on a Sunday around 7pm. The food was okay. Garden salad is nice. Pork rib is a little tough and dry. Fries is nice too. Came here for a birthday dinner, but a lot in the menu were not available like the pork skin and avocado smoothies. A little disappointed. The staff were not attentive, maybe they were new or busy? Overall experience was just okay.
MARVIS K — Google review
Been here 3rd time. Didn't realize it's fried porkribs. The coating is thick and not really crispy. Tastes like Korean fried chicken. However, the classic pork ribs and pastas nice.
Yeo I — Google review
The pork ribs are super delicious, and compared to Chinese restaurants, the price is half the price or lower than. I highly recommend coming here to eat their classic legendary pork ribs. The restaurant environment is dimly lit, but the decoration is clean and tidy and not ostentatious, making it a very chilling dining environment. I really like this place and their meal.
ND O — Google review
There are many sauces and the flavours of the meat are flavourful and rich. The pasta and salad are well flavoured as well. The fried chicken has a simple and basic taste but the sauces elevate the experience. The environment is cozy for dining in but it is very cold. The service is very good as the staff are helpful.

My second time here but first with my own family. Very good service with friendly staff and the food were yummy to the max! Definitely will be one of our favourite places to dine in! 🤩

We arrived 15 minutes ahead of our stipulated booking time. Upon entering, we were greeted demurely by one of the waitresses. We were ushered to our table and the menu was brought out soon after. They offer a huge range of dishes that should placate most of your cravings, from poultry to seafood or even some Middle Eastern cuisines if you fancy some. We ordered the lamb and chicken chop. When the dishes arrived, we were taken aback by the portion, it was HUGE! For those of you who are cost savvy, you'll love the amount they provide here. The food itself was positively delectable. The chicken was cooked to a nice juicy crunch while the lamb, tender and flavourful. The only letdown was the mashed potato. The texture was far from smooth and flavour wise, it could use a bit more butter and salt. My beloved and I will definitely come back here for another bite when there's a special occasion. Those of you who love Western food should definitely give this place a try.
GrimmS — Google review
At first I was a bit skeptical to go here as some said the food isn’t that nice. Food was delicious and yummy and somewhat didn’t have to wait too long for the food either. Lovely ambience, not too busy. Lots of food and drink choices. All the food that we ordered were yummy except the marination for the lamb chop was a bit too much and too sweet for me. So yeah all good. Would come here again in the future.

We came for lunch on Saturday. It was the best lunch-out I ever had with my family - we were the only customers from arrival till departure! Felt like having lunch at home but with a different kind of cozy environment, and romantic 80's-90's ballads playing softly in the background. I like the portico lamb chop the most, even though it looked unappealing at first glance. The meat was tender, juicy, and none of that typical 'lamb meat odor' that often puts people off lamb. Same goes to the chicken chop- tender and juicy throughout without being dry. Kids really loved the pizza and the crunchy chicken nuggets. Drinks were okay, nothing special as we only had iced milo, ribena longan, and hot latte.
Romie F — Google review
This was 10/10. Portion really stood out. The atmosphere was a bit dim for my liking. The whole place will probably look different if we had dine-in in the day time. Service was really pleasant. Staffs were helpful and friendly. Thank you for your service.

Good parking. Ok Ambience but the bell to attract a waiters attention is annoying and destroys the atmosphere .Staff are ok .The roast chicken was almost inedible .The chips/fries were cold, the salad doused in bottled cocktail( thousabd Island) sauce .The chicken leg had been frozen, and the meat and bone was dark brown .It did not have a good taste .The gravy was good .

The best cocktails in Kuching !!! Love the vibe, the people and most importantly the drinks. Their shots and Long Island tea is my favourite.

Lok-Lok is a popular cafe in Kuching city known for its diverse and high-quality skewers, particularly the lok lok and nasi lemak. In addition to these favorites, the cafe offers other dishes like Chee Cheong Fun, curry mee, and braised beef noodles at reasonable prices. Customers appreciate the variety of payment methods accepted and the efficient service provided. Reviews highlight the delicious Nasi Lemak served with Ayam Rendang and spicy chili that enhances the dish.
Top notch service from the staff who is sporting and friendly. A nice place to lepak. Laksa however finishes fast but the lok lok sticks are usually available until they close. There are indoor and outdoor seats.
Eva R — Google review
Quality of food dropped drastically after they expanded their shop. Food is hard & tough to chew after being deep fried. Prawn Mee was diluted, gravy. Chee Cheong Fun was thick & sauce too sweet.
Lini L — Google review
The late night supper food establishment of Kuching. Characterized by its extended roadside alfresco dining crowd and erratic roadside car parking at the roundabout. Over the years it has maintained its food quality and following, to the point of extending and extending adjoining shop lots. The vibe is very lively and happening in the evenings, catering to the late night crowds. One is spoiled for choice when selecting one's own choice of lok lok and request for deep frying or boiling. There are other selections of food available here, and particularly good is the chee chiong fun, nasi lemak, laksa, ayam penyet and beef noodles. The staff are efficient and polite, even though they are busy attending to the crowd. Opens only in the evening till late at night, one can come earlier to have better chances of getting a car park space.

This is the most famous Lok Lok shop in Kuching, operating for many years and still going strong. It’s a popular spot among locals. They offer a wide variety of Lok Lok items, from seafood to meats and vegetables. You can choose to have them fried or steamed, depending on your preference. Everything is freshly prepared, and the sauces provided really complement the food well. A great place to hang out with friends or family for a casual and satisfying meal.
Joseph K — Google review
Lok Lok Restaurant offers an impressive variety of lok lok choices, catering to different tastes with both classic and unique skewers. The environment is perfect for a relaxed night out—casual, clean, and ideal for chilling with friends. One of the standout aspects is their quick service; food is prepared and served promptly without compromising on quality. A great spot for lok lok lovers looking for a lively yet laid-back dining experience.
Guinevere E — Google review
This place is a solid choice for late-night eats. For those not familiar with lok-lok - the setup is simple: find a table and take note of your table number, order your drink, then head over to the uncooked food kiosk. Grab a plate and choose whatever catches your eye - most of the selection includes frozen items like hotdogs, fish balls/cakes and meatballs, but there are also fresh greens, yong-tau-foo, fried meats, and seafood skewers available. Once you’ve filled your plate, hand it to the staff and let them know whether you’d like your food deep-fried or boiled. They’ll cook it and deliver it to your table, along with a sweet and chilli dipping sauce. After that, you just pay for your food and drink. The kiosk area can get pretty crowded, especially with people awkwardly trying to open the kiosk's sliding door from both sides at once - honestly, not sure why it even needs doors! The space is also a bit cramped. Parking can be a challenge with many prople parked their cars by the roadside. Still, with tables set up along the pavement, it’s usually easy to find a seat. There are a few cooked food stations as well—we noticed people enjoying BBQ chicken wings. Prices are fair; my plate (as pictured) came to RM22. Just be mindful - it’s easy to take more than you think! Nothing much to talk about the food because it is just simply boiled / fried. One thing to note, my lady fingers were perfectly cooked. Despite the crowd, service was quick and the staff were friendly. We’d definitely come back when we’re in the area and looking for a satisfying late-night meal.
Evan L — Google review
Help yourselves, be a little strong hearted and courageous in ordering food. A lot of locals love it here. Rarely have lok lok so not sure what to think about my experience. It's okay overall, and have many noodle variety. Might come again next time.
Helen O — Google review
A must-try supper spot for Kuching folks! 🌃🍢 Besides the yummy lok lok, they also have beef noodles 🐮🍜, laksa 🍛, nasi lemak 🍚 and more! The only downside is the limited parking 🚗💨 — so come early or be patient! 😅 Totally worth it for a late-night food fix 🙌✨

Nestled on top of a hill surrounded by lush trees, The Tree Top offers a secluded and tropical dining experience in Kuching. Despite its name, the restaurant is not actually perched on a tree but provides a warm and homely atmosphere with a beautiful balcony overlooking nature. While some find the food to be average and in need of extra seasoning, others appreciate the reasonably priced menu featuring dishes like pork spaghetti and wraps.
Nice place to chill with loved ones, and have a dinner. Cool atmosphere, Love the shikiliki drink, so refreshing together with delicious food 😋 their Crispy chicken is my love. Will plan to revisit this place
Joch_ — Google review
This restaurant is nestled on a hillside, offering a stunning outdoor dining experience at night that feels like dining among the treetops. The rustic charm of the decor, paired with excellent maintenance, creates a 5-star atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing evening. However, the food doesn’t quite match the ambiance—it’s decent but nothing extraordinary. The chicken skewers stood out, being tender and juicy, but the kedondong juice was just average. The setting would be perfect for Asian cuisine, especially Chinese or Japanese dishes, which would complement the environment beautifully. A great spot for the vibe, though the menu could use some refinement.
Nick — Google review
Quite cozy but hidden place. Authentic in its own way. The pasta was quite delicious. The grilled lamb shoulder portion was very big and worth it. The grilled pork is just perfect with the sauce. Overall, the price is reasonable. Fully recommended. I gave it 4 stars because of the location.
Ardi N — Google review
It’s a nice place to hangout with your loved one. But be prepare to have patience when waiting for your food. Price of the food is bit too high. The place could do some cleaning as it’s quite hazardous with lots of Moses and algae overgrown in the way up.
Daniel H — Google review
The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor surrounded by lots of trees. It was a very good experience to eat very much alike inside the forest. The food is also great !
Yong C — Google review
Food is ok, slightly higher on the price side due to the atmosphere. Do make reservations as seatings are limited.
Tori K — Google review
The environment is pleasant, the food is acceptable, but the French fries were served cold.
Bryan — Google review
The atmosphere/the place is extremely aesthetic; suitable for taking pictures and dating for couples. However the food is a bit disappointing, the spaghetti is cut cut one, the garlic in the spaghetti is a quarter clove of a garlic. The french fries is very salty. The chicken, well-marinated. The smoke duck, it's alright. I have to wait for the food for almost 40 minutes! The beverages has a very unique name and unique design. It's pretty and it's quite refreshing. Service is okay. Moreover, as a customer, I expect a better version next time. 6.6/10

Richmond Place Western Cafe is a great place to go if you're looking for some good western food. The service is top-notch and the staff are friendly, so you'll be comfortable dining here. The food is also very good, with plenty of options to choose from. It's definitely a great choice if you're looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy some delicious food.
An old western eatery that accepts reservations. The tartar sauce is lovely. Iced lemon tea is refreshing. The lamb chop has a unique flavour from its batter, and the texture of the black pepper is quite starchy, so I wouldn’t recommend the lamb chop. The fried squid is alright, it goes well with the tartar sauce but it does not come with any sauce. Ambience is simple and open air style.
Eva R — Google review
Worth it, the food is just nice, there is room for improvement on the food presentation. Service is good 👍

The most affordable western food in town with quality ensure. I have been here for more than five times, and the food quality is still the same for every visit. I highly recommended for the pork ribs and lamb chop. These two dishes are a must order every time I visit here. Seats are limited during dinner time, but service is quite fast.

The last time visiting Richmond place was 2019. Now, I am back. From Great Britain to Sarawak. 🇲🇾🇬🇧 First open in 2001. 🆕 The food here is very good but limited choice in the menu. 🍟🍝 There will be limited seat so it is better to come early. Here are the result: Fish and chips (9/10)😋👍🏻 Mushroom soup and garlic bread (9/10)😋👍🏻 Mussels shell (10/10)😋👏🏻 Service (8/10)😏 Staff (10/10)😏👨🏻‍🍳 Cleanliness (5/10)😷🦟 Place (9/10)😏👍🏻 100% recommended for western lovers. I will definitely come back here. 😃😃😃

It has been quite a while since I had a meal at Richmond. So I thought why not take away lamb chop and enjoy it at home. Yes, price is much affordable than else where. But the taste was very disappointing. I dont know about u, but to me, it feels like the taste isnt the same as it was before. The moment I laid eyes on the mushroom soup, the color itself is telling the story. Very subtle mushroom taste, and the "thickening agent" that makes the soup thick🫤... I think I'd rather open a sachet of instant mushroom soup, just add hot water taste so much better. Now, the main course. The lamb chop's mushroom sauce... Is also another sad case.
Lexx T — Google review
Taste nice but not like old time 5-6 years ago more juicy and a lot. Oyster not that fresh and over cook. Others are fine.

Very affordable western cafe in Kuching serving good quality food and drinks. We ordered lamb chop and chicken chop, both taste great with appropriate serving portion. Even my toddler also love the chicken chop and fries. Service is considered prompt and friendly too. This place can be quite packed during weekends.

Darling Pot is a high-end steamboat restaurant with a premium ambiance and excellent service. The indoor dining area is fully air-conditioned and equipped with air purifiers, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The menu features a variety of soup bases including Tom Yam and Collagen Chicken, along with an impressive selection of homemade ingredients such as mince meat, fish noodles, and fresh cabbage. Guests can also enjoy a wide range of sauces to customize their meal.
The staff are incredibly attentive, polite, and friendly. The food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. While it is a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth every penny.

This is a premium steamboat place, fully air conditioned, good ambient, good service. Although it is indoor, it is not smelly, could be due to several air purifiers in place. The food quality is really good, even the chrysanthemum tea is well prepared and smooth in mouth. I've ordered Tom Yam and Collagen Chicken as soup base, it is good. There is also unbelievable range of sauces you can pick up from the centre bar to suit your personal taste. But, please get ready to pay a premium price.

Always our favourite steamboat restaurant in kuching. Service is good and environment is clean and comfortable. The food is all fresh and nice. Portion is quite big so better come is a group of 4 or 5. Price is slightly higher but worth it.

Qauint atmosphere. Clean. Great place to bring your colleague for lunch or dinner with family. Juicy pork chop! My fav! 8.50 only! Free sauce bar to add more ooomph to your cuisine.

This is a high end steamboat place. Ladies, you can choose to have collagen soup here. They have a variety of homemade or handmade mince meat. There's also handmade fish noodle. One thing that really caught my eye is their cabbage, it's super fresh and spotless. It looks like those food sample, plastic cabbage inside a Japanese restaurant. Be prepared to fork out 50 for a decent meal here.

They provide air purifier to filter the smoke and smell.. music slightly loud. Soup base is so so so good.

If you're in Kuching and craving a delightful Western meal, look no further than Petanak Steak House, nestled within the bustling Petanak Wet Market. This hidden gem is beloved by locals for its affordable yet scrumptious offerings that go beyond just steak. The chicken chop is particularly noteworthy, alongside options like bacon and omelettes that cater to various tastes.
A delicious chicken chop spot located above a wet market. The environment may be humble, but it’s clean and worth overlooking for the tasty dish! Recommended. Good portion for 1 person.

Pork was tender, not too thick or too thin. Usually a lot of ppl will eat here but we got lucky today we have a plenty of empty tables. I don't usually like to eat baked beans, but amazingly i finish em all. Thumbs up!

Not only they served steak, but any western food on the menu. 🥩🥩🥩 The chicken chop is very nice. 🍖🍖🍖 They also sell bacon and omelette there if you like. 🍳🥓🥓 A small business at petanak market deserve a raise one day. 😋😋😋 It’s very nice to have dinner here. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I would definitely come back next time for steak. 🥩🥩🥩

I went to eat there a Sunday evening when most of restaurant are çlosed. There were still a lot of people here. I ordered pork belly + 2 eggs, I expected a tastier dish. Even this place is far from my hotel, it good thing to know this food court. Some other food shops looks really good too. The drink shop next to Steak House sell huge glasse of icethea for 3mr, perfect. Even if the dish disappointed me, I hightly recommand to discover this place, used by many locals, on top of a real market.

Vong Y — Google review
One of the more popular stalls in Petanak Market Foodcourt. Like other comments mentioned, this stall is a local interpretation to “Western food”. Lightly seasoned meats cooked over a hotplate grill. Served with semi soggy fries, baked beans with lettuce garnishing. I have tasted a few of its menu offerings and I think the chicken chop is the best in the list. Pork loin is hard to get right for the pork chops. The other meats are not so memorable. I would always love to support local business like this if I have the time to spend waiting. The stall is super popular and waiting can be close to an hour at times. You have to come early, once I arrive at 530pm and still need to wait an hour. So how early? Hahaha. And things run out sometimes when you come late. Well, give it a try and decide for yourself. This place exist long before and will continue existing long after your death.
