One of the best experiences as a vegan in Kuching. Sometimes you can tell if someone is nice because they have to for work, or if they're genuinely hospitable. The guy at the counter was the latter. He explained to me exactly which items are not vegan (the waffles have eggs and their gula apong syrup has butter). Their ice cream has definitely improved over the years – it's not as icey and not sickly sweet anymore. They have plug points so I could do some work, but no wi-fi. Please consider opening in the city centre instead!

I’m not one to complain but we went there today and they served us burnt waffle ! I told them nicely and the person in charge told me it’s CRISPY… and the initial response was not even to replace us with another waffle … and when I said it’s okay we’ll just eat the ice cream … the person den proceed to tell me he will replace us the waffle only ! What’s worse we were served with another burnt waffle . Not as black but still burnt … definitely will not go back again ! Disappointed as they used to be very good .

An ice cream shop with a limited flavour selection. Either in a cup or on a waffle. I did enjoy the coffee flavoured ice cream but was disappointed that they did not have hot coffee. The place is clean, as were the washup sink and toilet. The staff is helpful and friendly. Lots of free parking around the building and there is wheelchair access.

I like the unique taste of the ice cream. I had pineapple and bandung lychee. They were both really nice. Be nice if the waffles were warm and crispy.

One of the best gourmet ice cream places in Kuching. Rival those of Inside Scoop or any other ice cream place in KL. Do try their original coconut flavour and their chocolate delights with their waffle. A single scoop ice cream also is worth a try. Price is worth it for the amount of servings they give. Would bring my date here.

Ice cream made from coconut milk, just like the old days. Flavours are relatively simple and limited - Gula Apong was our favourite, while the plain Coconut is simple and restrained. But don't come here expecting a vast array of gelato-like flavours. Also coffee, affrogato, waffles and a take on local desserts - but sadly, no cendol. Prices a little higher than you would expect, but quality was good.

If you love coconut like a freakin maniac then u should come to this place because the ice cream taste like coconut. With this hot weather the coconut icecream with beautiful minimalistic interior design of this place is really good for your eyes, your brain and your souls. It is like a good mental therapy for u. So treat yourself! Dont treat others. Let them pay for themselves.

Caught up with two cousins over lunch yesterday. It was an interesting mix of familiar flavours—banana fritters which were crispy on the outside, and meltingly sweet on the inside. The rojak was generous and just right. We also ordered a char kway teow with good "wok hey", together with an assortment of fried treats: cucur udang (prawn fritters), sweet potato and tofu. My favourite was the shaved ice with corn kernels, icy-sweet and comforting. My cousins had theirs with red kidney beans and chendol, a more conventional choice. Perfect on a hot equatorial afternoon.

Swee Kang Ais Kacang is a popular for their ice kacang, beehoon belachan, rojak, goreng pisang with cheese. Service is fast. Seating is rather cramped. Beehoon belachan is nice. Street parking available.

The Pisang Tanduk very tasty , must try . And the Chendol susu also yummy for those who dun want to very sweet can try this .

Abit hot in the shop. There is a lot of choices - rojak, umai jelly, lok lok, sotong kangkong, ABC, pisang goreng, etc. Fast serve although it was crowded.

Tried ABC, cendol, cucur udang and few ‘bola bola’, and also laksa. Except the laksa, the rest were not to my taste and had much better even in chain stores in KL. The laksa was quite nice. Not overpowering with the herbs and spices.

Each dish was exceptionally delightful, leaving a lasting impression on my palate.

Ice cream is good especially on a sunny day. The shop only accept cash. They should accept other payment like QR Code n Paywave as well. Come on… what year is it now? 😅

Went here for the first time and that uncle gave me bad impression about this shop. Please treat your customers nicely cause you don't know how far your customers came for your ice-cream. Don't expect your customers to find out directly what's flavours on that day. The ice-cream was good, suitable with the slight saltiness of the nuts and cheap. But the customer's service is bad.

A good place especially when the day is blistering hot. Good ol' creamy ice cream.

One of my favourite eatery spot in Kuching. I love the cendol and the rojak. Very tasty. The space not quite vast and always pack during certain time such as lunch time, after working hours and weekends. Parking space also not much, need to park along the roadside. The restaurant clean and the waiters just fine.

First the location is very confused and we overlap the entrance to the cafe. Secondly about the parking problem. Foods and drinks is good and nice taste. The price also was reasonable. The staff is attentive and friendly. But they almost forgot one of the menu that we ordered. The toilet is inside the bundle shop and it is so weird to go through the bundle shop,and going to the back far a bit and so quite lol. The best time to go there is on weekdays and then try to avoid crowded people especially on weekends.

Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed especially with the shaved ice. They used “pre-made” shaved ice instead of freshly shaved ice, so when the cendol arrived, it was like a solid brick. It was hard to mix, and we had to wait for the ice to melt just to enjoy it. It ended up feeling more like a cendol drink than the shaved ice cendol I wanted. As for the Milo Kepal, I expected that thick, gooey condensed Milo texture. But it turned out more like a Milo Dinosaur. Again, it felt like I ordered a Milo drink rather than an actual “kepal” dessert. The flavors are still okay. Parking is very hard to find. You’ll likely need to park further away. Also, I hope the staff can be a little more attentive to customers. I really hope they improve, and I’ll gladly update this review in the future if things get better.

Best cendol in town. Highly recommended

Fortunate enough to have their famous durian cendol with pulut, fabulous. Very affordable too compared to other spots. Lekor was also exceptionally crispy and tasty. Enjoyed our afternoon snack there.

The food was nice cendol and cucur. but we ordered some food but the one we received was a different one. then my friend ask to change but after half an hour they didn’t even make the food. so 2 star for the service.

The cendol special is a must. The durian is very flavorful. Ingredients are fresh. All is well. Recommend to try their lekor and rojak too.

The desserts are good. I like the shaved ice, they put enough red beans, and the waffle crackers quite sweet, and crunchy. The waffle, was hoping it crispy outside and soft inside, i think its more like pancake texture. But overall was good foods. Need more tissues though especially if with small kids.

Nice place to chill out and good ambience for fam & friends. Their mango shaved ice is exceptional. Their hot drink is refillable and the staff were helpful. Easy to find parking spot.

A good place to enjoy ice cream. Located at saradise so it's easy to find. As far the parking spot, its quite hard to find empty spot. I love the ambience here and the arrangement of the cafe.

One of my go to places for ice shave. Quite similar to kakigori with the ice shaves is milk flavoured and covered with mango puree. I had the mango milk this time. Personally I still find the sea salt peanut the best. The air con is cold and that's a big plus on a scorching hot day.

A very good place to try the Gula Apong Ice cream. We tried a few dishes too. Nothing exceptional but the ice cream... amazing. We also tried a few but my favourite is the one that actually has more ice cream 😃 Don't try the mango ice cream... We didn't like: the non stop bipping sound of the machine receiving orders and the guys not picking it up. Best to sit far away. Other than that the staff was helpful and friendly.

our 2nd day dine-in here with 2 different review. 1st day we ate the Cendol & the White Lady mango and honestly it was good and as expected. not too sweet & the ingredient compliment each other. suggestion is to add in some nutmeg in the ice kacang cendol 2nd day we ate Mee Kolok, Rojak Buah & Ice Lemon tea.. the dish was all good & fine. way to go IG ais kacang. Had the Sarawak Laksa, prawns are fresh. Comes with balachan and calamansi on the side. Comfortable seat, but very warm inside. Filled in order form and paid. 9.90RM. but was charged 10.50RM Nowhere on the menu states addition charges. Also no signs at the cashier. When asking the cashier about the discrepancy, we were finally given a receipt - showing a 6% service charge (not tax) How it can be for service? We had to collect our menu and order sheet, wrote our order, went to cashier to pay...so service was very minimal. Anyway, it's a small amount, but why not be transparent about the total cost?

The sambal paru is quite hard to bite, the toast and egg pudding are really good. Overall it’s good!

The cashier went MIA even when there were more than 4 people still queueing! Didn't inform us, didn't let us know that they stopped taking orders. Tersadai kmkorg rah cashier nunggu mok payment, mok ambik order. Worst experience ever! I gave 2 stars for the service since I pity the waiter. The other cooks kinda worked hard on the orders too but didn't know how to answer when I inquire about the cashier. He works so hard delivering the orders without taking a rest at all, while the cashier shamelessly left the cash register and smoked cigarette outside the premise.

The food was never good, abc meka bancuh air and just add shredded ice. The cucur udang is keras as hell more to cookies texture. And the manager scold his subordinates infront of customers (i would say it is unprofessional) overall i would give a -0.01/10☺️

Went here on my 1st day and bought the cakes On my second last day. The 1st time there i went by boat.. rm1 to go and rm1 to come back. The boat is located near the waterfront just behind the gloria’s coffee. The second time we drove there.. The owner didn’t disturb the customers while they choose. Some of the personal shoppers there did help by stating how to keep the cake after buying them. The cheapest cake lapis around.

There are many flavours and definitely will confuse first time buyers. Luckily there’s free tester provided so you can simply choose what you like. The cake is largely divided into cakes that use margarine and those that use butter, with differing price tags. Cake with butter - more expensive, need refrigeration. RM25 Cake with margarine- cheaper, stored at room temperature. RM10

Best pure butter kek lapis in Kuching. Hidden gem. Butter kek lapis was rm25/pc. Buy 4 butter kek Lapis free 1 normal kek lapis. Service was very good. The only bad thing is limited parking.

Among the best kek lapis manufacturer in Kuching. They provide postage service to outside Kuching. Serve varieties of kek lapis using marjerin and butter. Price for marjerin cake is rm10 (buy 10 loaf free 2 loaf). Price for kek lapis using butter is rm25 per loaf (buy 4 loaf free 1 loaf). Butter cake is more tasty then the marjerin cake. Highly recommended to buy this products as they provide taster of the cakes.

One of the famous places to buy kek lapis at affordable prices It's located in Kg. Boyan. You may take a boat from Kuching's waterfront or drive there.

Dine in. Ordered their shinjuku bake and some main around 5pm, having our main served around 520pm and finished, we get them to serve our shinjuku bake at around 530, and it was not served until 6pm, and inform us to wait for another 10 minutes. And we are only served at around 630pm. The staff told us their are short staffed they cannot prepare my shinjuku bake. So after 90 minutes, below is the item served. Judge it yourself. If you cannot handle this product, you should remove it from your menu or dont offer it during peak hour or peak season. It ruined the whole dining experience.

Visited Secret Recipe recently and found the food to be just okay – not too good, not too bad, but perhaps not something I’d order again. The highlight for me was the reasonable pricing and the pleasant ambiance, which made the dining experience comfortable overall. While the dish I tried didn’t particularly stand out, the atmosphere and value might make me return to try something different next time.

Heads up to the management.Food was great , coffee is nice but unfortunately the female staffs have no common sense and gedik ya tuhannnn.2 of the staff try to flirt with customers next table to us..obviously. They are playful and talk too loud.Idk its their rest time or what,,all of them sitting at the private corner (long table) and i can see one of the female staff kind of give head massage or whatsever to male staff. When we want to proceed with payment at register,the staff clipping her finger nail with poker face. Danggg. Inside receipt,stated there FOC sticker but she didnt give it to me. The cashier name in the receipt is Mieza but idk its her or not.After relocate to Level 3,service is worst. The only staff maintain her proffesionalisme is non tudung and wearing glasses.Kudos to her.She is the one taking our order. Note : As for now,SR Serian is the best. Overall, had a full stomach eating here. I had Thai Green Curry with Rice. Suit my spicy taste but i cannot understand why they put keropok in that menu? It should not be there. The buttermilk chicken is also a big portion. Nice and fulfilling. The cakes were Red Velvet & Indulgence. Just nice not too sweet. One thing i need to say we saw flies at the table. The management need to do something about that.

food was badddd. the spaghetti was way too mushyyyyyyy, soggy, and overcooked. I’m losing my appetite cause of this. and I hate the presentation of this spaghetti it was way too ugly bcause the spaghetti was too messy in plate due to their mushiness :( but their waitress was kind tho

When I arrived, there were 2 families. I ordered on 1:35, they sent my drink on 2:10 & my food was nowhere to be seen. Decided I had enough at 2:15 & asked the staff how much longer my meal is going to take. She answered that only the dressing is left but I know she's lying, I told her I'll just take away then since it's taking way too long. Immediately went to the counter to pay & the team leader was there playing with their phone, asked me where I sit & whether I want to pay. The previous staff came & explained the situation, the team leader asks me to wait & go to the kitchen to check the status of my food & guess what? — the food is not ready yet (probably hasn't even started on it at all). I lost my patience, said I'll cancel the food & only pays for the drink. 1) It's basic manner especially if you work related to selling foods/drinks — to inform your customer that the food will take some time. 2) None of the staff tried to inform me, instead they avoided me & instead went to the family customers to assist them. 3) The team leader should've play the role & supervise the teammate to ensure they're working & everything is going smoothly. 4) Don't lie to customers, if food is not ready then be upfront, if you forgot then say it. But don't lie on small stuff like at what stage of preparation the food is. Very upset with this experience, I know I came alone but that doesn't mean you can ignore my order, although my order is small I'm still gonna contribute my money for the foods & drinks. Hopefully the upper management can take this matter seriously, at least remind your staff the importance of adab 😒 used to be my fav branch but definitely won't come to this branch anymore.

Got myself a basic mixed ice cream (chocolate and vanilla). it’s thick and the sweetness is to my liking. The portion is generous and good for sharing too so it’s worth the price (RM7). Hope that they can consider to have like the basic vanilla/chocolate milkshake added to their menus too.

Tiramisu latte ny sedap!!! Worth to try. . The cheese, balance rasa kopi n dip with the lady finger. Yummeh! And tiramisu cake.. untuk peminum kopi, need more rasa kopi.. tekak masing2 lain2. But ask my collegues to try they like the creamiest sweetness of the tiramisu. But for me just need to add on a little bit coffee bitterness to balance to cake. Overall, semua nyaman. Ice cream here boh pdh ng nyaman lah.. later2 mk try the pasta gk. i tried carbonara before (guna grab). Portion bnyk for me lah..not bad juak rasanya. .

Soft and nice soft serve ice cream with rich and creamy pasta. There are heavy meals and pastries as well. The ambience is pretty cool but some chairs aren’t that comfortable.

Cakes/desserts look really good as well. The pandan/gula apong cupcake was delicious but the cake was a bit of a let down because of the heavy cream that they used. It got a bit sickly and would be nicer if a lighter cream (homemade pls) was used instead. It can get a bit busy but there are seats outside (shaded) as well. Board games are available too to keep you busy. Comfortable, bright and airy. Accessibility could be improved if ramps was installed to get in from the road.

It's a nice place to enjoy tasty desserts. We were there for a chat after dinner and a birthday surprise. The staff were helpful and sporting too. Try their ice cream with matcha topping if you are a matcha lover! Worth the price. Got variety of cakes as well. Beautiful deco with flowers. Recommended!

The stars I give are only for the gelato’s but not for the customer service. The atmosphere of the whole restaurant is very good and the decoration is very comfortable. Since the restaurant is designed to have such a high-end feel, the service quality of the waiters can really be improved. Even if there is no welcoming when customers come in, the two waitresses did not smile the whole time. Especially the waiter who collected money at the counter did not even say thank you. When asked if she could accept credit card payment, the tone of the response was really unprofessional. "No credit cards were accepted," she said. To put it simply, the desserts are delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant is good. It would be a pity if the service is not good enough.

They are specialised in selling dessert and their ice cream is one of the best in town. I absolutely love the ice cream texture, soft and milky. The price is on the higher side, but acceptable because the food quality is there and ambience is nice. Place is clean and spacious, service is good as well. If you are looking for a place to hang out with friends, this is a good choice.

New place to hang out. Cool quiet cafe. Food is admirable. Would have been nicer if the potato wedges are not too salty. The hot chocolate and waffle topped with almond slices and ice cream were not too sweet, just nice to my taste.

I mainly visit because the ice cream is good! The premium dark chocolate ice cream was a bomb! Highly recommended! Thai Milk Tea ice cream still alright. The Earl Grey ice cream is one of my favourites along with Honey Chrysanthemum. The waffle cone pairs well with the ice cream. The environment is nice and comfty. Best for meet ups. One thing that I feel needs improvement is the waffle. It has this slight lemon taste that brings down the flavor. I suggest sticking to the original or give options for the lemon waffle. Overall, a cozy place with ice cream along with good air conditioner and great food.

The vibes were nice at Dolce, but it stops there unfortunately. Ham and cheese sandwich was decent, but sloppy. The salted caramel ice cream probably had far too high MSNF levels resulting in a "sandy" mess. The avocado cheese cake was suppose to be the saving grace, but was a floury wreck. I was also not sure where the avocado went to aside from contributing to the colour of the cake. I really wanted to like this place, but the execution on the desserts just wasn't there. Perhaps it will improve with time.

I only managed to get a seat on my second visit because it was full on my first visit. This is a good place to cool off during a hot sunny day with the various local ais kacang they have. Apart from iced desserts, they also offer different types of snacks and food. I had tried the rojak and prawn pancake. The prawn pancake is crispy but for the rojak, a little heavier would be better. The price is reasonable and the service is nice, the waitress is very attentive and the food served is fast as well.

Best Ice Kachang in my life, It was not too sweet a d full flavor of Coconut milk make difference. There red bean was cooked just right, not too soft, not hard. Atmosphere also unique and nice. Plenty of parking front of the shop.

Always a nice place to drop by for our local traditional dessert and snacks, where the friendly owner personally and effortly prepares the dessert drink. The rojak here is excellent and they serve extra portion of the delectable sauce.

The cendol ice kacang is delish with adequate santan & gula apong, however the Milo nata was a bit bland.. will be back to try others on the menu !

Came across this "hidden gem" when walking at carpenter and gave it a try. Definitely worth it, the place is chill and the food is giving the "homemade" vibe. Flavour is there, seasoned well and good portion. The price is okay maybe around RM30 per per person with drinks. The environment is great, is chill, quiet and tons of arts which i love. But bare in mind they close kinda early. But overall great food and experience there.

I’ve always enjoyed this place and have ordered the cold soba many times. However, this visit (around 2pm today) was really disappointing. I ordered the ubilicious Tempe and cold soba, which used to be my favorite. Sadly, the portion of ubilicious tempe has become noticeably smaller. The worst part — the soba noodles were overly soft and soggy, almost as if they had been sitting in water too long. I couldn’t eat it at all. I gave feedback and was told it was a kitchen mistake, and they offered to remake it. After a long wait, the second bowl came… and it had the exact same issue. Again I gave feedback, and again was told it was a kitchen problem. No resolution was offered besides another apology. Honestly, it ruined my mood for the day. Really hope they improve consistency and kitchen quality, because this used to be a go-to spot for me

This charming café is a fantastic supporter of local small businesses. The staff are not only friendly but also very knowledgeable. It's an amazing art café with a diverse selection of food and drinks. I was delighted to discover a kefir lassi on the menu! Their roti quesadilla is absolutely fabulous. This is definitely a must-visit spot in Kuching! 😍

My friend and I came here for lunch and got the high protein and low carb vegan sharing dish. Local dishes but with a healthy style. It was absolutely incredible. The food was so delicious. The food was high quality. The staff were so friendly. It was a great place to chill and enjoy for a few hours. We really enjoyed it. They had many food and drink options. There are meat options if one wants vegan and other is a meat eater.

This café is run by several ladies as a cooperative, serving healthy, traditional food, while showcasing and selling local artwork. Cooking classes are also offered. The café is fairly small with limited outdoor seating, and half a dozen or so tables in the rear. The modest chairs and tables are clean and add to the charm of the place. When we ate here, we were pleased to see a group of 8 locals enjoying a hearty meal. The menu offers individual plates, or combinations, and caters for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans. We ordered the beef rendang sharing platter and the chicken masak mereh. Both the beef and the chicken were delicious, made even better by authentic home-made sauces. One small negative observation would be the extensive use of microwave ovens to reheat the food. I totally understand that some of these dishes can take hours to prepare and so they need to be reheated prior to serving. In the case of the chicken, though, this led to a number of both hot and cold spots in the meat itself. Reheating gently in a pot instead would likely achieve a more even heat distribution. Other than this, we thoroughly enjoyed the rich, authentic flavours of the food. The overall price of the meal was very modest too and our hosts were really pleasant too.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and incredibly fresh and tasty food. The cooking class was a delight, I learnt so much about the traditional cuisine and the portions were considerable!

Ok, so this is probably the best coffee place in Sarawak. A wide variety of different beans from around the world. Also local Sarawak coffee. You can probably spend half a day here.

Good coffee, but bring hearing protection. The patrons are generally quiet, but the exhaust from the coffee roasting is causing an extremely unpleasant ringing in the dining area. Seriously bring your earplugs when they are roasting, it's shocking. Other than that, the coffee is excellent. Wish they offered the cold brew coffee without added sugar.

Great place to grab coffee. For drinks, we ordered the tuxedo latte & pecan iced latte. Both taste good and smooth. They have in-house roastery, sell variety types of beans (in house blend & single origin), tea cascara and coffee tools. The staff are also very friendly & helpful if you have any questions about their products. Overall, we had a good time here. Highly recommend for those who would appreciate specialty coffee house

Nice place but maybe shorten the list of beans for pourover and establish a 1.15~1.45% TDS percentage standard to adhere to? Beans and pourover are not really that good. The cakes are fantastic. Coffee I'd been drinking for years and it's still there..

Honest review....its no lonher as good as what it use to be. Not worth the money we pay for. Prices of pies almost as Secret Recipe's pie price. Apple pie taste so bad. I don know how its called apple pie when there is no taste of apple in the filling. Pastry of chicken pies so chewy and filling taste bad. Really hope changes can be made.

This place has a very cosy environment. Had spaghetti here and it tasted good. Portion was large and prices were reasonable. This place has a large variety of pie's. Bought 2 pie's for tea also. Definately recommended for pie lovers!! 😊😊 Will come back again to try other dishes on the menu. 👍🏻👍🏻

For Food: I like the chicken cheese and beef cheese pies, its recommended to have than other pie. For smoky hot beef pie, i don't know if there's difference taste with the beef cheese one, for me, same taste. The lasagna ok, like awam taste, nothing special. the cottage pie ok nothing special, it just that day i got a bit burnt on top of it but still ok. Next, the lamb pie, its somehow taste/smell hanyir from the meat they used, so i dont really like it, also i dont think its exceed the dates from its made it just the meat itself, smell hanyir. so, for people dont really care about the smell, the taste is still ok 5/10, but the meat. For pastries, apple puff and banana cheese puff too sweet. if blueberry puff its sweet and just nice to eat. it is more balance than the other 2 puff. next, matcha cheese tart, the matcha taste is ok not too strong but the red bean combination is not suitable for me. it kacau the taste of matcha with cheese itself. i prefer matcha cheese itself without red bean. blueberry cheese tart i love it just nice and balance. Lastly, for muffin, both double chocolate and vanilla, the taste/smell of vanilla extracts (i think) too strong. and if you eat them time sejuk, the muffin rasa kering, and when you eat it, akan rasa muak and rasa haus after eat it. Overall, the pies, if makan time dah sejuk, rasa still ok same goes to the pasta. For the service, the staff are okay and mesra, still be polite, recently there's only one staff work, a bit hectic there but still can serve customer with patiently. For the atmosphere, a bit kotor, the lantai the meja. 2 last week i came, i sit at one table ada like crumb bread. there's 3 or 4 staff there, i don't remember. and for the toilet, ok, xda horsepipe but weird the toilet tissue got all wet when i used the toilet.

Best pie in town. First time dining today and great place to relax with jazz music. Staff was friendly and service was fast. The pie has the taste of its own and still taste as good. Thumbs up!!

Ordered 2 Long Black Coffees, 1 Chicken Pasta and 1 Chicken Lasagna. Chicken lasagna was creamy and the pasta was quite good. Bill totalled to rm40. Good value for it. Would like to come and try other food from the kitchen.

Beef steak pie, chicken quiche and egg benedict are what we usually have, simple and good. If you want to have family size quiche, place your order a day before. Small nice and cozy place. Give it a try.

Quiet place to chill in the morning. Limited to 5pax dine in during MCO/CMCO. Ordered from the brunch menu and the food was good better than i expected but it took quite awhile to prepare so if you are in a rush or looking for a quick bite maybe stick to the pies. Place was clean and staff were friendly. Would have liked if the a/c was turned up abit more though.

What We Loved: We ordered plenty of food and highly recommend the Nasi Goreng, Sweet Potato Fries (perfect as a side), and any of their pasta dishes. Keeper’s Ground is a gem of a restaurant that delivers on both food and atmosphere. I’ve visited several times, and it never fails to impress with its delicious menu and cozy yet vibrant ambiance. The service is generally attentive, and it’s a great spot whether you’re dining solo or with friends. However, I did encounter a small hiccup during one visit when I invited a group of friends. Some of them are big guys, and unfortunately, on a busy evening, we were seated at an area with their default chairs, which were quite small and uncomfortable for some of them. While this was a minor inconvenience, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning to dine with a diverse group of guests. Perhaps offering a mix of seating options would make the experience even better. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Keeper’s Ground to anyone looking for a great dining spot. Despite that one issue, it remains one of my favorite restaurants, and I’ll definitely be back!

Nice Cafe in Kuching area, located inside The Spring Mall, Keeper's Ground serves various of pastry, fancy foods and beverages. Very nice ambience and decoration too. I like their Nutella Latte and Banana Choco Croissant.

I have tried pesto in both Singapore and Malaysia, but Keeper Ground’s pesto is still the best—my No. 1. Definitely a keeper!

Best carrot cake I’ve had in a while. Moist and not too sweet 👍🏽 good coffee. Carbonara really nice too, rich and yummy 😋 would come every day if I lived in Kuching 🤣

My dirty chai and earl grey chocolate cake were fairly bland tasting, no wow to my palate but grateful to not be overloaded with sugar. Will have to try the food meals another time...a good range of choices on the menu. Presentation was beautiful and the space has a lively but cool, casual, comfy and chill vibe. Staff are attentive.

I had the pumpkin beef lasagna, flavourful and unique. A lot of cake selection to choose from for desserts, red velvet cake was delicious. The interior design is pretty and comfortable environment. Always packed with customers during peak hours but the captain there is always attentive and lead the staff team well. Maybe if he can put a smile a bit on that handsome face. 🙂

Has a huge varieties of kek lapis, and there’s samples available to try before you buy. You don’t have to buy any particular one if you can’t make up your mind, as you can get a box that has 5 different flavours in it. It’s a little too sweet for my liking though.

Dessert: Mixed Packed 4🌟 A nice mix of 9 flavors in small portion Good choice if you want to try different flavors. Priced at Rm 30.

RM 5 can purchase a box of mixed flavored cake, which is a good bargain.

I have to say for someone like me who has a sweet tooth and love pastries, walking into this shop is like visiting the wonderland. Never before have I experienced seeing so many colours, flavours and combinations of kek lapis (we call it kueh lapis) in my life. It was also very difficult to make decision inside the shop because there was just so many to choose from. There are so many flavours I liked but I just had to exercise self control. Prices are pretty consistent across all with some slight premium flavours with slightly higher prices. What I loved most was the sampling table, not corner. One can almost try every flavour here before deciding what you want but I be too embarrassed to do that. It was a tough mental fight that I had to narrow down to only getting two. Am quite impressed that the lapis are pretty well made and could last for quite a while if you store it properly in the fridge. I think its quite a wallet friendly shop and the sizes for the lapis you want can discuss with the shop owner. The smallest one is like a slab which is typically 10RM is already pretty big for 1-2 people for sharing. Pretty enjoyable as a snack and good as souvenirs from Kuching as well.

Don't WhatsApp them, they wouldn't reply. Reason being, too busy. So you want to book anything, call them up or go direct to the shop. Was there to redeem my fave coupon for lotus biscoff cheesecake. It is a lovely cake. Taste good but the lotus biscoff biscuits too sweet for my liking.

Our usual go to shaved ice desserts place. Loved the matcha and soybean ice. Plenty of toppings. Particularly enjoyed the taro balls and sweet potato balls - always consistent in their quality. There’s some price hike over the years but still within acceptable range.

The portions remain adequate, and the prices are still surprisingly affordable. I love the ZenQ signature grass jelly with soy base, it's both flavourful and refreshing. Notably, the service continues to impress; we were promptly attended to the moment we took our seats after order at the counter. On the flip side, the layout shows signs of aging, reflecting the extended time the shop has been in operation. Despite this, it still a reliable choice for ice dessert.

Clean, bright and chic environment, the desert shop is run by youngsters. Ordered their yam, come with generous amount of yam, sago, jelly or pudding, pearl and ice, taste so so only. Amble parking lots. Price is on the high side since its air conditioned. Service is fast, staffs are friendly.

Came with my friends the other day and the dessert was delicious!! I would say that the portion is definitely large for me and I almost couldn't finish it even though I only drank a drink beforehand. If you're someone who doesn't eat much then please come with an not too full stomach or else you're gonna end up like me hahahah. Didn't actually knew this place existed until my friend said they'll bring me here. Definitely worth a try!!

Much nicer, cheaper with bigger portion compared to the other newly opened grassjelly dessert place (The grass). The grassjelly here is just nice, not too sweet. Ordering is a breeze, menu is easy to read and staff are friendly.

Delicious ice cream. We didn't know they only had selected flavors on different days, and it was vanilla and corn when we visited. Not the first flavors that I would personally choose, but it turned out better than I expected. We were served quickly. Portion for a size medium was generous too.

Not an easy location for a non local to visit, had to grab to come here. Looks like an old school place where the locals come here for ice cream, had to come here to give it a try. It has a school canteen feel and only has this stall selling some bread and mainly ice cream. A little disappointed that there's only 2 flavours everyday and its fixed. Vanilla is by default and the flavoured one differs every 2 days. Visited on a Sunday and the other flavour available was chocolate. Cannot imagine but be impressed with the price of the ice cream. A sundae only costs 3.80RM! Banana split is also reasonable here and the large cup is good for 3-4 people for sharing. Didn't expect to be quite popular, visited around 5pm and there were quite a lot of people. The queue was long but the staff were efficient. Caused a bit of jam outside as drivers were blocking the narrow road waiting to pick up ice cream. I ordered the sundae cup with nuts and I have to say I pretty enjoyed it. I think the right word should be soft serve and not ice cream cause its really soft and smooth and rich. I also liked the nuts its not too hard and goes well with the soft serve. Quite value for money and I would like to go back and try the pandan flavour again. So simple yet so good. Recommended.

Legendary soft serve ice cream. Different days have different flavours. My go-to flavour is chocolate. They also have mixed flavours of 2 flavours of the day. The ice cream melts fast. The atmosphere may be humid and warm as it’s not that open and only using fan. The toilet is small. The seats are old classic stools that are fixed to the tables which are not comfortable for a long lepak session.

Retro ice cream shop. Ordered the sundae with nuts which was a short serve vanilla sprinkled with crushed nuts and salty caramel sauce. Very nice for the price. I liked the vanilla and the strawberry swirls intertwined, with salted chopped peanuts on top and drizzled with a very special sauce Aunty behind the counter said I must have. I savoured every single bite 😋 too bad I could try l the flavours! Only 2 flavours per day. There’s vanilla every day but the other flavour changes, and I didn’t stay long enough nor clock off work early enough to try it all. Nice clean environment with local mixed western foods. Tried the butter chicken as I saw someone posted about it. It's creamy & nice but hoping the chicken portion can be increased 🤣. It's not like the one they put on their wall. Anyway, still a nice butter chicken rice. We also had kaya toast - just simple kaya butter & toast. No harm in trying new places to eat tho.

Didn't expect this place to be like in an small hawker centre. Not an very big place but quite strange a few stalls all selling similar things. A number of ice kacang stalls here but decided to give this a try. Looked pretty popular because it was pretty crowded with customers. There was also quite a variety of items available so I asked the staff for recommendations and was asked to try the ABC the santan version. Have to say the dessert was pretty spot on, enjoyed it a lot and loved the coconut milk. For the price, they gave quite a bit of ingredients and the portion was decent. Didn't just want to have desserts so looked around and ordered a rojak also. Tasted decent but was quite different from the ones I had in my country so had a little culture shock when the prawn paste tasted so different. Overall still pretty good though. Not a bad place to drop by to have desserts on a hot day. Do walk around and try out food from other stalls as well.

6 years ago, local friend brought me here. Today I’m not disappointed, the Ice Kacang Coconut Milk is a combo of ABC with Cendol, truly enjoy it. Not to be missed is Laksa, the broth is awesome, the noodle can be better. Overall it’s a 10/10 experience.

Wide variety of choices on the drinks and ice desserts. Presentation wise is abit too simple, lack of colors. Taste wise is OK, no wow effect. They selling Sarawak laksa and Kolomee here too. No pork is served. The Sarawak laksa we ordered somehow had a dead fly in it. We then changed to Kolomee instead.

They have lots of pastries and bread to choose from but their drinks menu is pretty limited. Tried their blueberry cheese which was lovely but their croissant was average. Drinks were decent. Plenty of seats in the cafe and it has a very nice ambient to do work/study.

Uji matcha latte- grainy, more milky taste than matcha. Milk wasn’t well steamed. Wasn’t smooth and silky. Royal chocolate- it is okay, the flavour was monotonous. Pistachio- tasted monotonous as well. Very dense, the texture was not exciting. For that price tag, it was a huge let down. The service girl was very cold and abrupt. Cafe atmosphere is great.

The Viennoisserie here was superb: light and crispy, warm and not too sweet and Coffee was solid and balanced...good beans(Earthlings) but I did really miss a decent non plastic-y cup! I find the interior is a little unpleasant, dark and depressing, and with the vibrating bass music, more like a club or bar which I do not associate with bakeries or patisseries and deterred me from wanting to stay longer. The interior could definitely do with a little bit of a makeover, for sure.

First time here and I had a really good experience. The cashier was very friendly and recommended the sourdough cheese. I tried it and it was super yummy, fresh and flavorful. Definitely a nice place to stop by, and I’ll be coming back to try more from the menu

The smoke chicken pizza is quite nice, taste like Beijing roasted duck. There are many combo set menu to choose from.

We visited Dots Waffles and Desserts Cafe and tried three pizzas — Tre Formaggi, Margherita and Pepperoni (white base). Out of the three, the Tre Formaggi stood out as the best. The blue cheese gave it a rich, cheesy flavor that was delicious and memorable. For dessert, we had the Belgian waffle with ice cream and syrup. The waffle was crisp on the outside and soft inside, pairing well with the creamy soft-serve. We tried it with both gula apong and chocolate syrups and the gula apong version was especially good, adding a unique caramel-like sweetness.

Had an amazing experience at Dot Cafe The pizza was exceptional – truly giving an authentic Italian vibe with its flavors and presentation. I also tried their authentic cola and an ice cream Oreo shake, which was rich, creamy, and delicious. On top of that, the price was super affordable, especially after the GrabPay discount. Definitely a spot worth visiting for great food and great value!

In love with the pastel coloured interior! Ordered few ice creams and drinks and tasted good! From their famous branch at the bus stop near India Street, its no wonder everyone is flocking to this place after dinner. Boss gave us free Lava Cake and Brownie! How lucky of us! Definetly 5 stars!

Very disappointing. I have previously been here a few times for waffles and ice cream, and was always satisfied. After the recent renovation, waffles and ice cream is no longer on the menu as a stand alone item, they have combined it with pudding, crushed biscuits and boba pearls. The price is increased from the previous waffles price and the portion size of the waffles and ice cream has reduced. I do not want the added items, so I guess I will now need to search for another shop for my waffles and ice cream.

Though, I do think that it could be even better if they label which cakes are at the tasting booth. This is a retail shop to take home the famous Kuching Kek Lapis (layered cake). Many different flavours, all smell and taste good. Price was reasonable too, just RM15 for a 6-8 inch slab of cake in most flavours, if which there are least 20.

Kek Lapis Mama Su is one of the nicer places in Kuching to buy authentic Sarawak layer cake, and I had a very pleasant experience here. The shop is neat, welcoming, and well-organized, with shelves full of beautifully presented cakes in different colors and patterns. It immediately gives you that “wow” feeling when you step in. The variety of flavors is impressive — from the classic butter, pandan, and chocolate, to more unique combinations. Each cake is carefully prepared, and the texture is soft, moist, and consistent. A remarkable cake shop with a wide variety of kek lapis or layered cakes. It is fascinating to see the varieties of cakes they have. Most of the cakes rectangles are between RM16-17. Some premium ones might be of RM30-40 range. If someone buys 10, they get the 11th one free. Good to go with friends and get it for people in the peninsula. They are not too sweet. The shopkeepers are helpful and patient despite a good number of customers. The tasting area for all flavours is there. To ensure customers take a well tasted decision. The place is a little small, so if a crowd of 8-10 customers come in, it appears full. The payment can be made by cash, card, or QR.

Ice cream texture was a bit hard and icy，very disappointed at the staff. He told us that the waffle is out of stock but end out taking a half-bucket-full of waffle batter for the next customer. 😔😔😔

Nice Gula Apong ice cream by the river. It's fresh, tasty, as sweet as it should be and with nice toppings that go great with the ice cream taste. The price is very good also. Friendly staff.

IG Ais Kacang is a cozy shop, the ice cream is delicious and sweet. If you eat other food, make sure your food is enough and correct. The service is too slow. I came to eat here twice, always asking about the food we ordered, because there was food we hadn't received but the workers didn't update. That's why many people only took ice cream. My food was also sent to other people's tables. Very disappointed.. next time just buy ice cream.. other food is average

2 size of ice cream (S-RM 6.90) & (L-RM9.90). I bought the small cup and turns out it taste good and enough for sharing. the service was great and maybe can offer much more topping!

Use to be good but nowadays the ice cream is very watery and you can tell the quality has dropped. It melts very fast as the use of water more than cream or milk hasten the process of melting. There is apparently also a supervisor/manager/owner there always dress up in his leather boots and jeans and commanding the staff strictly and repremanding them instead of helping them out during the busy times. Won’t come again.

Heard so much about Gula Apong but never tried before and finally have the chance to try it in Kuching. Was walking along the waterfront and spotted this shop with the bright lights. Later I realized that this shop seems to have branches around Kuching and though this place is just like a takeaway kiosk, there is actually a physical shop a few meters down the same row of shophouse if you like to sit down and enjoy the ice cream. There isn't much to choose from, just the ice cream or ice cream with milk tea. I ordered the former as just wanted to try the original taste of the Gula Apong. I thought Sarawakian food flavours are more on the milder side but this really has the kick. I think its just normal vanilla ice cream with brown sugar and this is such a nicer combination. There was only one size large and it was pretty big which took me quite a while to finish. Overall quite decent and enjoyable. Not sure how authentic or if there are better ones around cause I only tried once during the entire trip. Worth a try if you happen to be strolling along the waterfront or if you happen to come across any of the branches they have.

Soft serve ice cream with gula apong which was perfect during a hot afternoon. The staff were also very helpful to direct me to their cafe a few units away where I could sit down and enjoy my ice cream. They also sold food and I had kuih cangkir.

Delicious ice cream! The ice cream comes in two sizes, regular and large, and the regular was plenty for me. I really enjoyed the Oreo and Nestum toppings, which added great texture to the ice cream. The syrup they use is super yummy. Not overly sweet, but has great flavor. Definitely stop by here!
