I enjoyed my stay at Cayzen. The friendly staff, clean facilities, and spacious dorms made it a great experience. It's ideally located near the World Trade Center yet remains peaceful. A perfect choice for budget travelers. Highly recommended!

Cayzen hostel has been a calm and comfortable place to stay in Chennai compared to others. The environment is friendly. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a peaceful, community-style living space in the city
Ayemyo T — Google review
This is one of the clean, well-maintained, neatly designed hostel I have ever seen. Even colors are mindful. They have nice cafe sitting around along with living room and have everything needed for a stay. Would definitely like to live here again, whenever I will visit Chennai. Highly impressed with how thoughtfully it is being managed. Owner is also really quick with the WhatsApp responses before booking.
Pratik H — Google review
The rooms are neat and clean, providing a comfortable and well-maintained living space. The beds are very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathrooms are spotless and well-kept, adding to the overall positive experience. The food is also quite good, making this PG a great choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

It is the best option for backpackers visiting chennai. Stayed here for 3 days for an exam. The receptionist (not sure owner or not) was so friendly and welcoming. Stayed in a shared 6 bed room which was fully air conditioned and it was kept neat always. The bathroom was shared and was pretty well maintained. The price range is worth for the services provided. The nearby cafe is a relief with good snack options. Overall it was one of the best experiences in a hostel. And no other option to think of visiting chennai again 💖
Sajin S — Google review
Only colourful walls. Insides are very shady. Stayed for over 8-9 days. Would not recommend beyond 1 or 2 days. They don’t allow smoking even in open spaces/balcony of property. They also want you to arrive back daily before 11pm, when they lock the gate. Only serve frozen & fried stuff that can’t be eaten for meals. WiFi was not working during 1st week of my stay. Had to use an Indian toilet, which was not disclosed in pictures online. No handwash/shampoo and neither any toilet paper. Don’t even change bed sheets after multiple guests come and go upto a week. Not worth the trouble of these rules . Poor hygiene. Lacks soul. Arrogant Host/Owner. Everything is Owner focused instead of guest focused.
Dipanker S — Google review
I stayed at Cayzen Hostel for one night, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it a great place to meet new people. I had some amazing conversations with fellow travelers, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hostel was well-maintained, and the overall vibe was comfortable and friendly. If you're looking for a place with great hospitality and a social environment, Cayzen is a fantastic choice. Would definitely stay here again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a newly opened hostel in Chennai, and I must say, it surpasses any other hostel in the city. The rooms are incredibly spacious, providing ample comfort and relaxation. The atmosphere gives off a North Indian hostel vibe, which is both refreshing and welcoming. The facilities are top-notch, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Whether you're a solo traveler or with friends, this hostel is perfect for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chennai!

Chennai, the vibrant capital of Tamil Nadu, is a city steeped in history and culture along the picturesque Bay of Bengal. Once known as Madras, it boasts significant landmarks like Fort St. George, which dates back to 1644 and now serves as a museum reflecting its colonial past. The city's spiritual essence can be felt at the stunning Kapaleeshwarar Temple with its intricate carvings and at St. Mary’s Church, an Anglican gem from the 17th century.

Marina Beach, a vibrant urban oasis located just 4 kilometers from Chennai Central Railway Station, is renowned for being the second longest beach in the world, stretching an impressive 13 kilometers. This bustling shoreline is a must-visit destination in Chennai, attracting tourists and locals alike with its lively atmosphere. As you stroll along the sandy expanse, you'll encounter kite sellers and cricket enthusiasts mingling with families enjoying quality time together.
Beautiful place , Location, View Point, It is so Amazing we had enjoyed a lot. With being longest coastal areas. We have walked a very long distance in the coastal lines to enjoy the view from different parts.
Binoy M — Google review
Where nice place for shopping, fast foods and peaceful stroll at shore. But have to be careful about the waves, there is no lighting or guards at the shore. And the shore is too far from the road, so ppl are scattered at the shore. Be careful- especially with children.
Ujjwaal G — Google review
Marina Beach is the perfect spot for both family outings and moments of peaceful relaxation. Early mornings here are calming, with beautiful sunrises and cool breezes making it ideal for a peaceful walk or some quiet time. In the evenings, the beach becomes lively and is great for families, children have ample space to play, there are fun rides, and the festive atmosphere is wonderful. Transport to Marina Beach is very convenient, with easy access by metro, local trains, buses, autos, and cabs. The location is close to many parts of the city so reaching the beach is hassle-free. One of the highlights is the variety of delicious local snacks and food stalls. From crispy bajjis, sundal, and murukku to ice creams and fresh fruit, there is something for everyone. Many nearby restaurants and cafés offer both South Indian and multi-cuisine options, so it’s easy to find good food with a sea view. Marina Beach is well-maintained, and recent improvements have included better accessibility for everyone. Whether you want to soak in the sound of the waves, enjoy street food, or spend quality time with loved ones, Marina Beach never disappoints! Highly recommended for all ages.
ABHISHEK K — Google review
Marina Beach ranks first among the worst beaches in India. At least it is a beach that is not only difficult to get to, but also to see. There are people on the road, traffic in the evening, women are not there to change their clothes, to go to the beach you have to walk 1km on the sand. It is best for those who go on a tour to Chennai to avoid seeing a 100% clean beach. If you want to see it, it is better to look somewhere a little further away between Marina Beach and the Lighthouse
Ramesh B — Google review
A clean and serene beach of Chennai. It has a long coast line. I visited in day time in afternoon heat so couldn't enjoy the evening chowpatty food options and fun. The beach cleaning is actively going on.
Sarthak V — Google review
Weekend Trip Review: This location offers beautiful scenery and is a pleasant place to visit on weekends. However, significant improvements are needed in maintenance and hygiene. Despite these shortcomings, the overall beauty of the area makes it worthwhile.
Ajay C — Google review
The Blackpool of Chennai. It was a wonderful experience to visit the beach on the Diwali public holiday and seeing family and friends flock to the beach. Swimming is not advised due to the riptides but there is plenty to do from beach markets, makeshift fairgrounds, horse back rides and freshly cooked snacks (Id not recommend buying any if you're not local) As a foreign tourist you might get a lot of stares and selfies but just embrace it. Also expect alot of roaming cows and litter on the beach, so we opted to walk instead of perch but there were plenty of families setting out picnic blankets for the day.
James M — Google review
One of the longest beaches in the world, Marina is perfect for an evening stroll. The memorials of leaders like Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha add to its charm with their beautiful architecture. Well-maintained and truly iconic of Chennai.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Mylapore, Chennai, the Kapaleeshwarar Temple is a magnificent testament to ancient Dravidian architecture and spiritual heritage. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, revered here as Sundareshwarar alongside Goddess Meenakshi, this temple dates back to the 7th century CE.
Located in Mylapore, this ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and showcases stunning Dravidian architecture with its colorful tower. It’s believed to date back to the 7th century. The atmosphere of the main temple is very divine and peaceful, filled with the devotional chants, and the fragrance of incense, creating a truly spiritual experience for every visitor.
Shubham J — Google review
The circular framing in the image reveals the traditional mandapam architecture, a pillared hall where devotees gather for worship, festivals, and rituals. The Kapaleeshwarar Temple reflects classic Dravidian architecture and is a masterpiece of Tamil temple heritage, originally built during the 7th century by the Pallavas and later expanded by the Vijayanagara kings. The temple complex honors Lord Shiva as Kapaleeshwarar and Goddess Parvati as Karpagambal, embodying grace, fertility, and divine power. Steeped in devotional history, this temple is not only a place of worship—but a timeless cultural landmark that has preserved Chennai’s spiritual identity for over 1,300 years. the Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore, Chennai, one of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in South India. The towering rajagopuram (eastern gateway tower) dominates the frame, adorned with hundreds of finely sculpted deities, sages, celestial beings, and mythological figures that narrate stories from ancient Shaivite tradition. Rising beside it is the Dwajasthambam (holy flag mast)covered in gold plating and aligned directly with the sanctum symbolizing a sacred axis that connects the physical temple to the divine cosmos.
N ( — Google review
I recently visited the Kapaleeshwarar Temple during the rainy weather, and it was an absolutely beautiful and peaceful experience. The temple looked wonderful in the rain, with the droplets glistening on the ancient stone carvings and the colorful gopuram shining even brighter. The air was cool and refreshing, filled with the fragrance of wet earth and temple incense. The architecture and divine atmosphere made the whole place feel magical — a perfect blend of spirituality and heritage. Watching devotees walk barefoot on the wet stone floors, hearing the temple bells, and seeing the reflection of the temple lights on the rainwater added to the charm. If you ever get a chance, visit this temple during the monsoon — it’s a breathtaking experience you’ll never forget.
Parthiban S — Google review
Had the pleasure of visiting on Diwali, we received an insightful tour around the temple grounds outlining Hindu customs, beliefs and temple practices. This is a prominent Shiva temple and is decorated in hand carved wooden statues which ate repainted every 5 years. You can't help to reflect on blessings of the temple and the focus on the themes of masculine and feminine harmonies (which is explained in more detail during the tour). Please note non hindus can only walk the grounds and cannot enter the shrine The temple is also an active kitchen for the homeless and lower castes. When you arrive there is a shoe storage stand by the main door for a price of 100rpi. Guides will be lingering near the shoe storage stand and around the temple grounds. Highly recommend bringing enough cash to donate to the temple, people attending the kitchen and the guide. Please agree a price with the guide first to avoid being overcharged but there is a cash machine near by if you're running low.
James M — Google review
I happened to see this temple in my one day official trip to Chennai. The temple give ancient pur spiritual vibes and though there was a heavy floating of devotees, there's no rush or queues. It's culturally vibrant and spirituality glorious. The best part is that the inner sanctums of each divine form, Kapaleswaraswami, Ammavaru, Lord Ganesa and Subramanya swami were lit only with oil lamps which gave a totally different feeling as if we time travelled to lovely ancient period at its zenith. The streets near the temple were filled with clay dolls attracting buyers. Inspired by them I set up a Dasara Bommala Koluvu at home.
Sowjanya G — Google review
Visiting the Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore was a truly divine experience. The moment I entered, I felt a deep sense of peace and devotion all around. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and it’s one of Chennai’s oldest and most beautiful temples — a true reflection of traditional Dravidian architecture. The gopuram (tower) is breathtaking — covered with colorful sculptures of gods, goddesses, and mythological figures that tell countless stories from the scriptures. The detailing is incredible, and every inch of the structure feels alive with history and devotion. Inside the temple, the atmosphere is filled with the sound of bells, chants, and the soft aroma of incense — it’s an experience that touches the heart. What I loved most was how the temple blends spirituality with daily life. You’ll see people offering prayers, feeding temple cows, and quietly sitting near the tank in reflection. The surrounding Mylapore area adds to the charm, with its vibrant flower stalls and traditional shops. Even if you’re not deeply religious, the architecture and cultural energy of Kapaleeshwarar Temple make it a must-visit. It’s not just a place of worship — it’s a living symbol of Chennai’s soul, tradition, and timeless beauty
Akash — Google review
It is one of the oldest and powerful Shiva temples, which is located in the middle of Chennai. One of the best landmarks of Hinduism in Chennai. Even though it is in mid of Chennai, inside the temple premises, you feel such a divine and spiritual attainment. Both Shiva and Ambal Sannithi give pleasant and divine feelings. You will feel more relaxed after getting dharshan from Shiva and Ambaal. Mostly in the evening, cultural programmes which reflect our traditional and together chanting of the Shiva Puranam give a higher elevation of our spiritual level.

Nestled in the vibrant Mylapore neighborhood of Chennai, Santhome Cathedral Basilica stands as a magnificent testament to history and faith. Originally constructed by Portuguese explorers in the 16th century, this stunning church was built over the tomb of St. Thomas, one of Jesus Christ's original apostles who is credited with bringing Christianity to India.
I visited Santhome Cathedral Basilica for the first time, and it was an amazing experience. The church is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. The architecture is stunning and filled with history and grace. The peaceful atmosphere inside the church gave me a deep sense of calm and reflection. It’s truly a holy and serene place to spend some quiet time. A must-visit in Chennai for anyone who appreciates historic churches, spiritual spaces, or simply beautiful places. I'm really glad I got the chance to experience it!
Selvaraju — Google review
It's a spectacular architectural monument made a few steps beside the sea. There's peace and calm inside the church. It's made with great craftsmanship. The views were marvelous both inside and outside. You can just go alone by yourself, sit in the silence and pray, you'll find your inner peace for sure. And the staff there are helpful and kind as well. Great place for a visit when you're in Chennai.
Debasmita M — Google review
Only three churches {St. Peter's Basilica in Rome (over St. Peter's tomb), the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral in Spain (over St. James's tomb), and the San Thome Church in Chennai, India (over St. Thomas's tomb)}in the world are built over the tomb of an apostle of jesus Christ. With its white texture and spires, the Santhome Church stands majestically tall and makes you pause and appreciate its beauty. Built in neo-Gothic style, the church delights every visitor with its naturally lit interiors, rows of wooden pews and striking windows with coloured panes.

"A Must-Visit Landmark in Chennai!" Santhome Cathedral Basilica is a beautiful and historically rich place that absolutely deserves a visit. The neo-Gothic architecture with its stunning white spires and serene stained-glass windows is breathtaking. What makes it truly special is its history—it's built over the tomb of St. Thomas the Apostle. You can visit the peaceful underground crypt and the fascinating museum which houses artifacts like the spearhead believed to have killed the saint. The whole atmosphere is incredibly calm and spiritual. It’s perfect for history buffs, architecture lovers, or anyone looking for a peaceful escape from the city. Highly recommended!❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
Anwesha — Google review
I’ve always loved exploring places of worship for their history and architecture — and Santhome Cathedral Basilica in Chennai truly impressed me. The moment I saw it, I was struck by its beautiful white Gothic structure rising gracefully against the sky. The pointed spires, arched doorways, and tall windows give it such a majestic look, and the detailing is absolutely stunning. Inside, the atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The stained glass windows bring in soft, colorful light that fills the space with a quiet serenity. Even as someone from a different faith, I could feel a deep sense of spirituality and respect in the place. Architecturally, it’s a masterpiece — the symmetry, the high ceilings, and the intricate craftsmanship reflect classic European design, yet it blends so harmoniously with the coastal surroundings of Chennai. Learning that the church was built over the tomb of St. Thomas the Apostle, one of Jesus’s disciples, made the visit even more meaningful from a historical point of view. Overall, Santhome Cathedral Basilica is more than just a religious site — it’s a blend of art, history, and peace. You don’t have to be Christian to appreciate its beauty; it’s a place that speaks to anyone who values culture and architecture.

Quite surprised to know that there is a Cathedral church in Chennai. It is quite a big Cathedral. The architecture and design is almost the same as other Cathedral around the world. With the white colour, it is quite eye catching when you pass by it. it is not just the church but the compound is also quite big. there is another building and parking lot. Visited on Saturday morning, there are few people in the church, mostly are visitors.
Ben — Google review
After many disappointing fake reviews on various places in Chennai, this is only one worth of my praise. We went to beach for sunset but couldn’t stand the place so started walking back to this church. God is good, we did not expect the lightings on this church but it was so beautiful. There was service going on in the sanctuary, although we didn’t understand the song, but the music was so calming. The night temperature was pleasant too, praise the Lord!
Kat H — Google review
A calm, soulful hilltop shrine with sweeping views of Chennai and the airport. The church is small, serene and well kept; you can sit quietly, light a candle and spend time in prayer. The steps up (with Stations of the Cross) feel devotional, or you can drive to the top if you’re with elders. Inside, the ancient stone cross and the statue of Our Lady of Expectation add to the sense of history. Crowd management is disciplined on Sundays and feast days.

Nestled within the sprawling 16-acre Pantheon Complex, the Government Museum Chennai is a treasure trove of art and history that dates back to its establishment in 1851. This museum features an eclectic mix of collections, including Indian art and sculpture, bronzes from the illustrious Chola Dynasty, and fascinating anthropological artifacts. Visitors can explore various buildings like the Museum Theatre with its stunning Italianate architecture and the Indo-Saracenic National Gallery of Art facade.
One of the second largest Museum in India , probably one of the oldest in the world. Huge collections of ancient civilizations but unfortunately some of them aren't maintained well is sad to know. I see only few are really making use of such a great place where it talks about Hindustan and we should really encourage them from my point of view Request Govt to promote such places wherever they can to attract the visitors Closed on Fridays but remain open on all other days They charge 50rs for adults and 250₹ for foreigners and additional 250₹ for camera or video which is expensive but ok

Egmore Museum is incredibly valuable for anyone interested in South Indian art, especially temple sculpture and bronzes. The depth of history, the level of craftsmanship (for example in Chola bronzes) is breathtaking. It gives a strong sense of continuity of art through centuries — Pallava to Chola to later periods. The museum doesn’t always match the potential of its collection in terms of how the works are presented, interpreted, and preserved. If these areas are improved — lighting, protective display, better signage, more artefacts visible — it could be world-class.

2nd oldest museum in India & many sections make it feel so. The ticket costs ₹50 and the entry comprises of 6 sections across several buildings. The corridors are huge and very high ceilings make it more majestic. The exhibits are comprehensive with pre historic - colonial. The must see are the Raja Ravi Varma paintings. The Indus Valley Civilization section. Half day to a full day leisure will be the time needed to cover the entire museum. Some buildings are poorly maintained with no lights and ventilation. Otherwise, this museum is extremely enriching & unique.

Very large site and the separate exhibition spaces are very spread out. The building and exhibition rooms are in disrepair but the facade of the building is very impressive Personally I liked the statues, (date ordered), the coin collection, the selection of cannons, the huge copper writing plates, really cool foreign money used in India including an explanation of the origin of paper money which began in Sweden. The whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling was alao impressive but many of the exhibits in the taxidermy section were in a poor state. You can spend a good 2-3hrs there. Rp 250 for foreigners and Rp 250 for camera usage
Simon R — Google review
Excellent museum!!! However, maintenance is lacking. There are 9 themed permanent exhibition halls spanning multiple floors. It took me 4.5 hours to walk through all the exhibits with minimal photography and reading comments. The museum is highly educational with lots of data that can be useful for researchers and educationalists. The buildings need maintenance and the exhibits need thorough cleaning. Some of the exhibits lack descriptions and the audio guide was not working at all. From what I understood from foreigners, there is no way to understand the regional and Indian exhibits, especially the religious exhibits from 12-15th century. Also there was no clear path to take while visiting each gallery. There is a chance that people can miss certain galleries due to this. Entry ticket: Rs. 50 Toilet: Available (not that clean) Canteen: minimal canteen available (only fried rice was available when I visited) Note: 9 exhibition halls available (ask staff for directions)

My visit to the Government Museum in Egmore, Chennai, was a journey through time, housed within stunning Indo-Saracenic architecture. The complex, a peaceful green space in the city, immediately impressed me with its heritage ambiance. The absolute highlight was the Bronze Gallery, where the sheer artistry of the Chola bronzes—especially the cosmic dancer, Nataraja—was mesmerizing. I spent a long time in the Archaeology section, viewing the ancient Amaravati Buddhist sculptures and the prehistoric artifacts from Adichanallur. It was fascinating to discover that the museum holds the largest collection of Roman antiquities outside of Europe, a truly unique aspect. While the vastness of the collection means some older galleries could use updating, the experience was incredibly enriching, offering a deep and tangible connection to the history and cultural legacy of South India.

The place is full of history, culture, and art from ancient sculptures and artifacts to natural history exhibits. The architecture itself is beautiful and adds to the charm. A must-visit for anyone interested in learning about India’s rich heritage.

The University of Madras, established in 1857, is a prestigious public academic institution located in Chennai. The campus houses 68 departments and notable landmarks such as the Senate House, an architectural gem designed by Robert Chisholm. Originally serving various purposes, it now functions as a convocation hall and library for the university. The university grounds offer a serene environment for leisurely strolls and visitors can also enjoy hot filter coffee from the cafeteria.

Very disappointing experience with the student services. I’m not even a student of this institution, but I’ve been waiting for an Eligibility Certificate for over a month now. There has been no proper response or communication from the concerned department, and due to this delay, my admission elsewhere is getting affected. To those planning to apply here — please think twice. Don’t waste your valuable time and effort. The canteen and infrastructure also need major improvement. While the campus is large, the management seriously needs to start thinking from the students’ perspective.

The hotel boasts luxurious marble interiors and gold leaf furnishings that exude sophistication while offering modern amenities and technology for a lavish experience. Located just 3.
I had a wonderful stay at Accord from 26th September to 2nd October. Upon check-in, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from a Superior room to a Deluxe at no extra charge — such a warm gesture to start my stay! All the staff I encountered — from the check-in team, reception, duty managers, breakfast resturant staffs, to the room service staffs — were extremely professional, courteous, and always ready to help. Their hospitality truly made my stay memorable. The room itself was spotless, neat, and very comfortable. Housekeeping ensured it was cleaned and well-maintained every single day, which I truly appreciated. Mr Baskaran from room service, even gave a sweet hand made gift as a appreciation for our stay. Overall, my experience at Accord was excellent, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. I look forward to returning in the future!

Stayed for one day and here are my impressions on the hotel. Room - comfortable and big but looks old, Service - house keeping was quick and available on call and even front office was good and kind, Food - unfortunately couldn’t try food. Note: Vallet and drivers demanded tips and didn’t take my car out of the parking until I paid him. I literally waited 15 mins for my car. I would like to tell here that though the hotels hold 5 star rating, the service and professionalism doesn’t match other hotel chain’s /!: moreover it is a small property with very limited parking arrangements. I stayed at their Chromepet property and Ooty property, that was 4/5 and food was expectional.

We had a very short (just 6 hours!) layover stay to recover from an exhausting long-haul flight, and it was the best decision we could have made. Arriving at 5 AM, was so grateful for the smooth and welcoming check-in process. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and comfortable, with a great view of the city. But the absolute highlight was the staff. In a world where service can feel rushed, the team here is a breath of fresh air. They are patient, they genuinely care, and they deliver service with a smile. A special shoutout to Guidingstar, Bikash, and the entire restaurant and front desk teams for making us feel so looked after. The food was another incredible surprise. The breakfast buffet was so delicious and authentic—from South Indian to Oriental—that we came back for the lunch buffet before leaving. This place truly understands hospitality.

I recently stayed at The Accord Metropolitan in Chennai and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Location: The hotel is conveniently located right on the main road, adjacent to a flyover, making it easy to access from various parts of the city. Shops, restaurants, and essential stores are all close by, whatever you need is just a short walk away. Rooms & Amenities: The rooms are excellent. Even the standard category room is spacious and includes a bathtub, which is a rare offering these days. The room features a 50" TV with OTT platforms already subscribed, a separate coffee table with two chairs, a dedicated work desk with an office chair, and two telephones viz. one near the bed and the other at the work desk. The hotel provides all essential toiletries and accessories, along with thoughtful amenities like a bathrobe, slippers, iron with ironing board, hairdryer, and a mini bar. Everything is well maintained and neatly arranged. Dining: The property houses three restaurants. I tried the breakfast buffet and was amazed by the variety, so many options that I couldn't try everything even over a three-day stay! Each dish I tried was delicious and well-prepared. On our first evening, we dined at OPM, one of the in-house restaurants. The service was prompt, and the staff was courteous. The food was excellent — especially the honey-glazed lotus stem starter, which was a unique and memorable dish for me. The ambience was elevated by live singing and soft music, creating a very pleasant dining experience. The following evening, we visited the restaurant on the first floor. While the food was fine, the loud sound didn’t suit our mood, so we didn’t stay long. Facilities: I used the gym and swimming pool, which were well-maintained. I couldn’t try the spa, sauna, or steam room this time — but those are definitely on my list for the next visit. Final Thoughts: Overall, The Accord Metropolitan offers a great blend of location, comfort, service, and dining. I highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers. Thanks for reading! Feel free to check out the photos and do like and follow for more reviews.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Memorable Stay at The Accord Metropolitan Had an amazing stay at The Accord Metropolitan! I really want to give a special shout-out to Sidhant, Assistant Officer, for going above and beyond. I had misplaced my sunglasses in the hotel — they were a gift from my wife and quite an expensive one — and I was really upset. I remembered leaving them in the dining area, but they were nowhere to be found. When I told Sidhant about it, he was extremely understanding and proactive. He took the time to check the CCTV footage himself and went the extra mile to track them down. Around 4 a.m., he came up to me with a smile and said, “Sir, I found your shades.” That small gesture honestly made my day! Huge thanks to Sidhant and the entire Accord team for their kindness and professionalism. Everyone was super friendly and made my stay even more special. Truly appreciate the hospitality — keep it up! 🙌

Hi Team, I just wanted to share some fantastic feedback from one of our team members who stayed at Novotel Chalmers last week. They had a great experience – the hotel was clean, comfortable, and everything went smoothly throughout their stay. A special mention goes to Lucky at the front desk, who was super friendly, helpful, and made them feel truly welcome. It's always refreshing to be greeted with a smile and exceptional service, and Lucky certainly made a positive impression. Thanks again to the entire team at Novotel Chalmers for providing such a pleasant experience. We’ll definitely be recommending your hotel for future stays.

A fake, dead hotel that calls itself 5-star. Choose an OYO instead of choosing this Novotel property. As someone who travels extensively and has used several Novotel properties in India, this property is Accor Group’s worst possession. Here are the things that led me to my opinion: - The shower is broken and stops midway, so you basically hold the knob and stand the whole time. So be prepared to just stand there till the water actually starts flowing. Yes, that’s what you pay for. - The shower area is flooded the whole time you are in it. So you get great access to drainage water while you are actually trying to clean yourself. - The water kettle has muck in it and hasn’t been washed for ages. So you’d better get your own when you come here. Wasted bottles of purchased water to simply get simple hot water. A replacement kettle was the same. - Breakfast is simply miserable. If you like uncooked omelettes, papad like dry parathas and an infinite wait for a simple Uthappa, do try this place. - Towels are old, brown, and worn out. - Water bottles are unsealed and have no assurance of freshness or usage by the last customer. So carry a lot of luck while coming here. The only thing that is working fine and is the reason this place is still open is the courteous staff. The property has nothing to offer at a 5 Star level. Go to Taj, Pullman, or Marriott if you expect value for your money. Come here only if you have no expectations.

Chennai International Airport, located just 7 km from the city center, serves as a major transportation hub with domestic and international flights. It is well-connected to various cities in India and abroad, offering direct flights from across the country. Despite some cleanliness issues in certain areas like restrooms, the airport boasts cultural structures and a lack of unnecessary advertisements. Efforts are being made to improve infrastructure and maintain cleanliness for an enhanced travel experience.
Chennai International Airport is truly impressive – beautifully designed with a perfect blend of modern interiors, traditional temple-inspired architecture, and a refreshing touch of nature. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, making the experience warm and welcoming. The airport is neat, well-maintained, and thoughtfully organized, with a spacious baggage claim area that ensures smooth travel. Even the washrooms are very neat and clean and with no bad smell. Every part of the airport is worthy of a selfie. So this is a wonderful gateway to Chennai and India!

Review 1 (4 Stars - Positive, focusing on connectivity and recent improvements) Title: Improved Experience with Great Connectivity! Chennai International Airport has definitely stepped up its game! My recent travels through MAA have been much smoother. The new facilities are a welcome change, and the overall cleanliness has improved significantly. What truly stands out is the excellent connectivity to the city via the Metro. It's incredibly convenient to reach the airport and get into the city without hassle. While there can still be queues during peak times, the staff are generally polite and helpful. A good experience overall, making it a reliable gateway to Chennai.

The domestic terminal at Chennai Airport has improved a lot and offers a smooth travel experience. The check-in and security process is well organized, staff are polite and helpful, and the facilities are clean and well maintained. There are plenty of food and shopping options to keep you comfortable while waiting for your flight. The terminal is spacious, signage is clear, and baggage handling is efficient. Overall, it’s a hassle-free and pleasant experience compared to many other busy airports. A well-managed airport that truly makes traveling through Chennai convenient and comfortable. Highly recommended!

I recently visited the airport and had a mixed experience. The washrooms, although clean, were lacking in one crucial aspect - there was no handwash available. This was quite disappointing, especially considering the importance of hygiene in public places. On a more positive note, the airport had a good selection of shops, including a bookshop that caught my eye. The presence of these shops added a touch of convenience and comfort to my travel experience. To improve, I would suggest ensuring that all washrooms are fully stocked with essentials like handwash. Overall, the airport had its strengths and weaknesses, and with a few tweaks, it could provide an even better experience for travelers like me. *Rating:* 3/5 stars *Recommendation:* Ensure all washrooms have handwash and other essential amenities

Chennai International Airport is one of the busiest airports in South India and offers a comfortable travel experience. The airport is well-structured with both domestic and international terminals conveniently connected. Check-in counters and security checks are generally smooth, and staff are courteous and ready to assist. Inside the terminals, the cleanliness and maintenance are commendable. Seating arrangements are good, and the air conditioning keeps the environment comfortable even during peak hours. The airport provides a wide range of food courts, coffee shops, and restaurants serving both South Indian and international cuisines, making it convenient for travelers during long waits. There are also several duty-free shops, convenience stores, and lounges, which add to the comfort. Clear signboards and digital screens make navigation easy, even for first-time travelers. Facilities like baggage handling, restrooms, currency exchange, and prepaid taxi counters are well managed. Accessibility is another strong point—the airport is connected to the city by taxis, metro, and buses, making onward travel easy. Overall, Chennai Airport provides a safe, clean, and efficient travel experience and continues to improve with modern upgrades.

Chennai Airport is one of the busiest airports in South India and offers a good overall travel experience. The terminals are modern, clean, and well-maintained, with clear signboards in multiple languages for easy navigation. Check-in and security procedures are generally efficient, and the staff is courteous and helpful. There’s a wide range of food courts, cafés, and retail outlets offering both local and international options. The restrooms and waiting areas are clean, and seating availability has improved a lot. Baggage delivery is usually on time, though during peak hours, there can be some delays. The connectivity to the city is convenient with taxis, metro, and other transport options available right outside the terminal. Parking space is ample and organized.
Nikhil J — Google review
Chennai International Airport has a mixed reputation. Positive aspects include cleanliness in domestic terminals, smooth departure processes, good food options, and well-maintained facilities. However, the airport faces criticism for poor connectivity between terminals and parking, limited WiFi access for international passengers, lack of sufficient dining and shopping options in the international terminal, and issues with staff behavior and infrastructure. Overall, it seems better for domestic travel but needs improvements for international travelers to meet global standards.
Kalpesh O — Google review
Chennai International Airport (MAA) is the principal air gateway to South India and is currently undergoing a massive transformation. This makes for an experience of stark contrasts between modern aesthetics and persistent operational challenges. 🌟 The Strengths: Modernization and Connectivity New International Terminal (T2/NITB): The recently inaugurated Terminal is the airport's standout feature. It is spacious, boasts impressive architecture inspired by South Indian temples, and offers a clean, contemporary environment. This new section significantly improves the first and last impressions for international travelers. Excellent City Connectivity: MAA scores high on ground transportation. The airport is seamlessly connected to the city via the Chennai Metro Rail (Blue Line), making it highly convenient and affordable to reach the city center. Prepaid taxis, ride-sharing services (Ola/Uber kiosks), and local buses are also readily available. On-Time Performance (OTP): Despite infrastructure constraints, MAA has historically maintained strong on-time performance for departures, indicating efficient airside operations. Comfort Amenities: The airport offers several comfortable lounges (Travel Club Lounge, Air India Maharaja Lounge) and a Sleepzo sleeping pod facility in the domestic arrivals hall for those needing hourly rest. 🚧 The Challenges: Operations and Consistency Operational Bottlenecks: This is the most consistent point of friction. Security screening and immigration often suffer from long queues, inadequate staffing at peak times, and slow processing. Old Terminal Areas: The older domestic terminals (T1 and T4) can feel congested and dated, particularly during rush hours. Wayfinding and Staff Communication: Signage can be confusing, and travelers frequently report difficulties with staff providing incorrect directions or struggling to communicate effectively in English, especially at security checkpoints. Cleanliness Consistency: While the new terminals are generally clean, traveler complaints about the cleanliness and maintenance of older restrooms and common areas during busy periods persist. 🍽️ Dining and Lounges Dining options are adequate, ranging from local South Indian cuisine to fast-food chains. Retail options are available, but some travelers feel the duty-free and general shopping selections are uninspired or overpriced compared to other regional hubs. The paid lounges offer a necessary escape from the main concourse congestion. Summary MAA is an airport with one foot in the past and one foot firmly in the future. If your journey involves the new international Terminal 2, you will likely have a positive experience. However, travelers should anticipate potential friction during security and check-in processes and always allow for ample buffer time. The excellent Metro link is the single best feature for ground transit.

I have travelled to and from Chennai via train for a over 3 decades now I think. So the railway station does bring out some nostalgia. The station is quite big with a lot of shops, eateries, etc. It has many of the problems that other stations have like cleanliness. I am seeing a lounge for the first time in a railway station. Unfortunately, I didn't have a card that allowed me to enter. I will always have a soft spot for this railway station.

The station is well-maintained and offers excellent facilities, including clean waiting areas, food outlets, metro and local train connections — all conveniently located nearby, making travel easier and more comfortable for passengers. The overall experience is very good. The only improvement I would suggest is ensuring regular RPF (Railway Protection Force) presence on all platforms for added safety

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the busiest and most iconic railway stations in South India! The architecture beautifully blends colonial heritage with modern facilities. Trains connect you to almost every part of the country. The platforms are spacious, there are plenty of food stalls, and the staff are quite helpful. It can get very crowded, so plan ahead and stay alert with your luggage. Overall, a historic landmark and a gateway to Chennai’s vibrant city life. Highly recommended for travelers!

This 5 star hotel is located on the main road and it is easy to find the place. They have well trained staff who will guide you from parking to other services in the hotel. I have visited this place for the conference and the banquet hall is big and can accommodate 100-150 people . There is good space and the refreshment as sugarcane juice is served. The water bottles were placed on each table . The food is served near the banquet hall and they have a good variety of vegetarian dishes in the buffet and 2-3 items in non vegetarian. The food is good and the staff were on their toes to serve the same . The dessert counter is also good. Overall a good place to attend a conference and have dinner.

I had a wonderful stay at Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels. The hospitality was outstanding from the moment I arrived—warm, professional, and always attentive. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with all modern amenities. The food was another highlight—the buffet had a wide variety with authentic South Indian dishes as well as international options, all cooked to perfection. The staff at the restaurant were courteous and made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around. The facilities like the pool, spa, and gym were also well-maintained and added to the overall experience. What truly stood out was the personalized service—I felt genuinely cared for. This hotel sets a high standard for hospitality, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chennai. Definitely looking forward to staying here again!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt I had to share my experience at Grand Chennai by GRT. When I first arrived in Chennai, I was staying at another hotel, but due to its poor conditions, I decided to move. I came across Grand Chennai by GRT as it was nearby, and I’m so glad I did! I was assisted by Elias, who was kind enough to personally show me the rooms before I booked. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout my stay. A special shout-out to Elias for arranging an early check-in and making the process so smooth! The hotel itself is amazing — the rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is excellent, and the breakfast buffet has an impressive variety. I would definitely recommend staying here and will absolutely return on my next visit to Chennai.

Had an excellent stay at Grand Madurai by GRT. Right from checkin to checkout everything was an enjoyable experience. Service with Smile was felt at each moment during the stay. You ask for it and you get it. We even got refreshments and cookies for kids for our day tour of Madurai as a gesture from the Front desk....kids loved it. Will look forward to more of such experiences with GRT Group.

An outstanding experience from start to finish at the Hyatt Regency Chennai! The hotel is in a prime location — central, convenient, and easy to get around. The property itself is spacious, clean, and very well maintained, with a strong sense of safety and comfort throughout. The rooms are large, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, making for a truly relaxing stay. The dining options are fantastic, with multiple restaurants offering a great variety of delicious cuisines. The bar area is a great highlight, with live performances and a vibrant yet classy atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. I also made use of the spa and gym facilities, both of which are top-notch. The spa services were excellent, and the gym is well-equipped and clean — perfect for staying on track while traveling. What truly sets this hotel apart is the team of people working here. Every single staff member I interacted with — from the general manager and front desk team, to the concierge, waitresses, housekeeping staff, security guards, chefs, and kitchen team — was courteous, professional, and genuinely warm. You can tell there is a real culture of hospitality here. Everyone made an effort to ensure guests feel welcome, comfortable, and well cared for. A big thank you to everyone at the Hyatt Regency Chennai for making my stay so memorable. Highly recommended whether you’re here for business or leisure!

Hyatt Regency is a dependable choice if you want to stay at the heart of the city.

Service and location are top notch. room was big with bath tub. but it has aged and it shows: basin didn't drain quickly enough, shower leaked water even after turning it off, bathroom had many black spots, tv was vintage with a set top box. they had a market of sorts on the ground floor and that was causing chaos in the pickup and drop off zone with literally 100s of people visiting. had to wait 20 minutes to get from the gate to the drop off point. hotel should have a separate entrance for guests when they have events on the ground floor.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Chennai and overall had a comfortable experience, though there were a few areas that could use improvement. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a good level of comfort for both business and leisure travelers. However, I did face a minor inconvenience with a bathroom leak, which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard. Hopefully, it's a one-off issue and not a recurring problem. The hotel features several dining options. I tried Focaccia, the Italian restaurant, and while the ambiance is nice, the service was extremely slow. The food was just okay – nothing particularly memorable, especially considering the wait time. On the other hand, Spice, the multi-cuisine restaurant, was a much better experience, with a wide variety of options and more efficient service. Overall the stay was good and service reception is huge. 1 day stay will cost less than 8k

I stayed for a day in Hyatt Regency, Chennai. The room was fantastic with lot of space. Well maintained. Bathroom was squeaky clean. ( The bathtub needed some work to drain the water). I wanted to take steam bath, but it wasn’t working. The staff in the spa was negligent to inform me that. So I chose sauna. Room service could’ve been better because they took time to attend the call, that too in the morning which was pretty annoying. Breakfast was good. Overall I would give a 7 on 10.

2nd time staying here. Excellent service and room. Would like to take a moment to appreciate the service provided by Mr. Ram at the front desk. From the moment I checked in, he was professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. He handled all my requests with efficiency and a warm smile, which made my stay more pleasant and welcoming. It’s rare to come across staff who balance professionalism with genuine care for guests, and Mr. Ram certainly stood out in this regard. Please convey my thanks and appreciation to him.He is truly an asset to your team. Had a great stay

The hotel shows its age — the rooms feel old, and the overall property could really use a refresh. While the service team puts in good effort and tries to make the stay comfortable, the experience doesn’t quite match the price point charged. For the location and staff courtesy, it’s decent, but the value for money isn’t there at the moment. A renovation or upgrade is much needed for it to live up to the Marriott standard.
Oz M — Google review
Have been there for 2 days. Checkin took 1 hour and 3 rounds at the reception. There were only 2 high raised chairs to wait at. When asked for a paid upgrade the accomodation offered was not up to mark considering Marriott. Room was upgraded but had to again visit the reception personally as no one could confirm on calls whether the paid meal plans as per the parent booking were continued. Also you are only given the access card and no 1 to guide you or help you with the luggage. Staff at the reception area are at next level attitude. Felt like they did a favour and were not at all welcoming. And about the accomodation, head rest was dusty, fridge was empty. And tap water was all rusty. (Video is available). At first I thought it's because of being unused. But it happened thrice in my 2 days stay. Had to keep the water running before it got clear. This was not at all expected here. The staff asking you for a review always came in at the time you are in rush or are trying to have a good meal in all this chaos. Only good thing is the Food. Be it any meal. The staff stationed near the hotel entrance and the ones at the buffet restaurant are kind and hospitable. One more point of appreciation would be for the spa and salon staff and their service. It would be better if the actual front faces of the Brand at well trained to be a little hospitable and welcoming. And cleanliness and hygiene of the accomodation are kept under check.

I stayed at Marriott Chennai for 5 nights (July 13–18) with my wife and child during our US visa appointments. We chose Marriott for a safe and hygienic stay, fully dependent on the hotel for all meals. Unfortunately, both I and my son fell ill on separate days after eating at the buffet — I had stomach pain after a salad, and my son suffered vomiting and loose motions. The hotel management assured me that food samples had been sent for lab testing, but without any transparency or follow-up, I’m unsure how effective that really is. I was also given the usual standard assurances about Marriott following “the highest food safety protocols,” but our experience says otherwise. I also noticed the hotel seemed understaffed, with ground-level staff working long hours. Being close to the US Consulate, I feel the hotel has become complacent, relying on constant short-stay guests. I’m writing this review not just to share my personal experience, but to ensure there’s a public record. If others face similar issues, there will be a trail of repeated incidents for reference. I sincerely hope Marriott’s senior management or global leadership looks into such cases and takes serious corrective action. Spending over ₹1 lakh for a five-day stay — only to fall ill and spend most of my time managing my and my son’s health — is not acceptable. Food safety and hygiene cannot be compromised, especially at a hotel of this reputation and price point.

After a disappointing one-night experience at a nearby so-called 5-star Indian chain property, my spouse and I booked Courtyard by Marriott Chennai — and what a welcome change! As Marriott Bonvoy members, we truly appreciated the clean, comfortable rooms that met international standards. The staff were courteous, room service was prompt, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Worth every penny! This is now our go-to hotel for all future stays in Chennai.
Swapna B — Google review
We opted for this hotel after a disappointing experience at a nearby non-chain property, and it was a welcome change. The rooms were up to Courtyard standards — clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Good value for money. Staff were courteous, and it was a nice touch to see someone making a beautiful Rangoli for Diwali. Even the massage and spa prices were quite reasonable. Now for the misses — the fruit at breakfast tasted old, and the watermelon juice was off. Having stayed at several hotels across Chennai, this was the only one where the fruit felt questionable. Also, the coffee maker and usual tea bags were missing from the room setup. I’d still recommend staying here for the comfort and service, but maybe have your meals elsewhere.

Quality Inn Sabari Grand is a polished hotel with streamlined rooms and two restaurants, as well as a trendy bar and complimentary breakfast. The hotel offers airport shuttle services, and guests have praised the friendly staff and clean, well-stocked rooms. The on-site dining options are popular for their tasty South Indian food, while the hotel's hygiene standards and spacious rooms have also been highlighted by visitors.
The hall is good for only small functions and not suitable for 100+. The function we attended was marriage reception and it's too congested. Dinning hall they have 2 and each accomodate 30 at a time. It's small for marriage reception. I recommend this hall for smaller functions and it's good. Car Parking they have few but nearby road has some private parking space but not associated with the hotel.

"I recently stayed at this last week and unfortunately had a terrible experience. From the initial greeting to the overall cleanliness, the hotel fell significantly short of expectations. Hygiene Concerns: The most concerning issue was the presence of multiple roaches in the room. Additionally, the toilets were stained, and the room itself felt unclean. Poor Service: The staff exhibited unprofessional behavior, and their service was consistently inadequate. Unacceptable Conditions: The hotel made the situation worse by leaving waste materials in the room and bathroom, further deteriorating the already poor conditions. This experience was particularly disappointing as I was on a business trip and expected a clean and comfortable place to rest after a long day of meetings. I heard from my friends that this used to be a good hotel, but its current state suggests a significant decline in quality. I believe this decline can be attributed to inadequate staff training. To the Management: I urge you to invest in proper staff training. You operate in the service industry, and customer satisfaction should be paramount. Please prioritize cleanliness, professionalism, and guest comfort."

Prime location, good hall, but it's too congested for even a birthday party, and dining hall was not even fitted with washing, no chairs , even elders have to stand and eat, even though it's buffet menu, still they should have place atleast for the elders to sit. Otherwise it's ok for a crowd of 100.

Dear [Hotel Owners/Management], I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an extremely disappointing and concerning experience I had during my recent stay at your property on January 7–8, 2025. As a frequent traveler who handles sales and marketing responsibilities across India, I have stayed in countless hotels, and I expect a certain standard of professionalism and hospitality. Unfortunately, my experience at your hotel was far from acceptable. Incident Details 1. Initial Check-In Issues: • My day started early at 4 AM in Delhi, followed by a packed schedule in Chennai. By 10 PM, my team had confirmed a booking at your hotel, and I arrived exhausted. • Despite being extremely tired, I was only handed my room key at 10:30 PM after checking in at 10 PM. • Upon reaching Room 554, I found that my key card did not work. After returning to the reception for assistance and revalidating the key, I tried again unsuccessfully. 2. Disturbance at Room 554: • A housekeeping staff member attempted to assist but was also unsuccessful. • Moments later, a guest occupying Room 554 opened the door and shouted at me, understandably upset. It was clear that the reception team had issued me the key to an already occupied room. 3. New Room Allocation (Room 417): • I was eventually given Room 417 and entered around 11/11:15 PM. Exhausted, I quickly changed and went to sleep. • Privacy Breach: Around midnight, someone forcefully opened my door by knocking off the door chain. The individual entered with luggage and only left after I woke up startled and questioned him. • Following this, I received a call on my mobile (as the intercom was not working) asking for my room number. Due to my extreme fatigue, I did not escalate the matter further at the time. 4. Lack of Accountability: • The next morning, I left for work at 10:15 AM and returned around 9:20 PM. I requested to meet the General Manager to address my concerns. The reception team assured me that he would meet me, but after waiting 15 minutes, he failed to show up. Key Issues Identified 1. Mismanagement of Room Allocations: • Issuing keys to an occupied room is a severe lapse in protocol and a breach of both security and privacy. 2. Security Concerns: • A stranger entering my room at midnight raises alarming questions about your hotel’s safety measures. 3. Poor Room Preparation: • The room allocated to me was unprepared, and even basic amenities like the intercom were not functional. 4. Lack of Customer Service: • No staff member offered to escort me to my room during check-in. • The General Manager’s failure to address my concerns shows a lack of accountability and respect for guests. Conclusion Given the severity of these issues, I am left with no choice but to conclude that I cannot recommend or return to your hotel. The lack of courtesy, professionalism, and basic operational standards is unacceptable for a hotel of your standing. I urge you to take immediate steps to address these lapses in service and ensure such incidents do not happen to future guests. I look forward to hearing about the corrective actions your team plans to take regarding this matter. Regards Sandeep

The reception service was the worse..we call for wifi..and it was never provided. Breakfast seem not too hygienic..as there was flies around the fruits and cakes. There is no cover. Overall the picture projected in google or other site is completely different from the reality

Raj Park Hotel Chennai is an upscale property offering a 24/7 restaurant, trendy bar, outdoor pool, gym, and spa. While some guests experienced issues with check-in and room maintenance, others thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The staff exhibited professionalism and courtesy while the accommodations were well-maintained. The hotel's central location was praised by many guests who also appreciated the quick and efficient service provided by the friendly staff.
Stayed here for an extended stay of more than a fortnight. It was very comfortable and food was really good. The Chef Mr.Abbas is an excellent person and food at the restaurant tastes just like homemade food. The Staff were very polite, caring and helpful and they treat you like family. I stay at this hotel regularly and my stays have always been pleasant. When I fell ill Mr. Ramesh from housekeeping responded immediately and got me the medicine even though it was quite late in the night. Overall a great place to stay whether you are travelling single or as a group. Another point worthy of mention is that they gave me a little care-package breakfast because I was checking out from the hotel during the early hours. Felt very touched. Thank you Team Raj Park 🙏🏼😊

Had a terrible experience at Hotel Raj Park Chennai due to the unprofessional behaviour exhibited by the staff. Staff members seemed uninterested in assisting customers. The reception staff were totally lost when I asked a simple question about the check out timing. Restaurant staff behaviour was an epitome of unprofessionalism The food was served cold, as though it had just been taken out of the refrigerator. It was clear that it hadn't been properly heated before being plated. I expected a warm, freshly made meal, but instead, I got something that felt like it had been sitting around for far too long. Which when mentioned to the staff they agreed to it without showing any regret. Key card was not functioning at times, making it difficult to access my room. I had to go back to the front desk each time to get a new card or have it reprogrammed, which became time-consuming and inconvenient. Although the receptionist attended to the issue, the card was not reprogrammed properly, have to visit reception for the second time due to this issue. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. I was expecting a much higher level of professionalism. Sadly, I won’t be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a positive experience.

Rooms look good. There is sufficient space. It's not clear how the flush should be used. Remaining amenities are easy to figure out. The hotel is located in main spot making it easy to travel. The service provided for events can be improvised. It's advisable to pre-plan utensils required for the function as the management won't have it. Also, cakes ordered would be cut down by the staff, but the distribution should be taken care by the family members. The food is not allowed to be taken out, but we can order food from outside. The staff are also strict in terms of time as the cooking services are stopped after mentioned booking time. The staff does good service in terms of luggage transportation and boarding to the vehicle. Also event background music is managed well.

We hired 2 rooms for 3 nights. The superior rooms are very good, hotel interiors and ambience is nice, food was great and customer service was excellent. Loved the breakfast buffet! Minuses - Smelly towels - erratic, fluctuating AC - room intercom phone was not working We paid over 30k for our 3 day stay but was charged Rs 500 to replace a lost room key card. I’ve stayed in many high end hotels and they give a replacement card At no charge. If the bill is above a certain amount, replacement key should be given free - it’s not a big deal to give one.

The location is of the hotel is almost in a perfect place. I stayed there for seven days. The rooms are pretty big enough. There is a table which you can use for working with laptop. The rooms are clean regularly. The room I was located was having a bath up. But it seems to be very old kind of a bathroom set up. On the first day, there was no stopper for the bathtub, and I thought it was not working. The next day when I asked about that suddenly one person has connected the same . But the cleanliness of the bathroom need to be really improved. The breakfast they provide are via buffet. Interestingly, almost the same items were getting repeated in all these days. At times, I understood that the services and the buffet is not up to the mark.

AISHATH & FAMILY - 601, 602, 604 (12 - 17/6/25) I had a great experience at Raj Park Hotel, Chennai. The hotel is beautiful, perfectly located, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of options. The staff were friendly and welcoming—thank you to the entire team for your warm hospitality. A special thanks to Ms. Sasi at the reception (apologies if I got the name wrong). She was incredibly attentive to detail and genuinely cared about the guests’ comfort. I truly appreciated her help during my stay. Looking forward to visiting again!

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The restaurant staff, were shockingly unprofessional—our food arrived over an hour late, stone cold, and not even botheeed to get it fresh again even after requesting. No apology, no basic courtesy. Completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the room itself was a disaster—stinking beds.. For the price they charge, this level of service is disgraceful. But would also like to mention the breakfast buffet was very good.

I had a very disappointing stay at Raj Park Hotel from 24/03 to 25/03. The service and hospitality were extremely poor. I requested plates and even agreed to pay for them, yet they were not sent to my room for over an hour, despite multiple calls to both room service and reception. The lack of responsiveness and professionalism was frustrating. If this is how they handle simple requests, I can’t imagine the level of service for more significant concerns. Definitely not worth the stay!

We visited to bar 🍸. They enjoyed a lot. Good service and atmosphere. They work for customer satisfaction.

The service is worst. Rooms are good, but the room service is worst and also the restaurant service is very poor. Ordered food and is very late and also at morning complementary breakfast ordered extra foood and till the last moment they did not provide it and they said the restaurant is closed. Rooms also they are doing renovation and can’t sleep peacefully, so requested them to change a different room. The front office person was also rude, as if he behaves that we are staying for free of cost. I don’t know the owner or manager is seeing this or they are leaving as it is. Overall a worst experience for the given money
Shahid A — Google review
Terrible experience – absolutely not worth four stars! We stayed here for one night – and that was already one too many. Upon arrival, our driver was spoken to in a very rude manner and was not allowed to park the car at the hotel. There are also no facilities for drivers to stay overnight, which is something many travelers in India would reasonably expect. The rooms were clean – and that’s the only positive point we can mention. The rest of the stay was extremely disappointing. Major construction work is currently going on, causing a lot of noise, dust, and an overall unpleasant atmosphere. This was never communicated to us beforehand – very dishonest towards guests. Breakfast was a disgrace for a hotel that claims to be four-star quality. The so-called "continental" options were limited to some toast, butter, and fruit. The Indian breakfast had more variety, but most items smelled sour and seemed far from fresh. In the bar, we even saw cockroaches. The central air conditioning made such loud noise that sleeping was very difficult. To make things worse, we were charged an additional 1800 INR for a simple camp bed for our driver – someone whose good night's rest is crucial for our safety. We understand that renovations may be necessary, but communicate this clearly and temporarily close your doors if you cannot guarantee basic comfort. Right now, you are delivering an experience unworthy of the term "hotel." Do not book here. It’s absolutely not worth your money.
Indira O — Google review
“Not worth the ₹5000 budget. The night was full of mosquitoes. There was some noise from the centralized air conditioner, making it difficult to sleep. The main door was not locking properly. Complimentary items included only one water bottle and one soap for a two-room stay. Toothbrush kits were not provided at all, and when we requested them from room service, they gave only one piece. A terrible experience.”

Never knew this hotel. Was looking for a good banquet Hall for a function in the vicinity of T Nagar and found this place Google search. But one call to their reception was enough for me to decide what sort of place and service it would be. The receptionist who picked up the call made me wait for nearly five minutes to tell me that no one is available at the banquet section? Why can't businesses like this have the basic understanding of creating that first impression at least. They will only keep losing customers like this?.

A Room with Drilling and Hammering noise, change of room declined on the guise that the repairs were of emergency and Will stop by evening, continuing all three days, stretched through evenings. Restaurant only for breakfast and otherwise its only room service. You don't get what you choose from menu, but get only what they have Regret my choice

UPAR Hotels Nungambakkam is a budget hotel located in T Nagar, Chennai. The hotel offers streamlined rooms with amenities such as breakfast buffet and Wi-Fi. It has received positive reviews for its clean rooms and bathrooms, helpful staff, and convenient location near popular landmarks like Pondi Bazaar and highly rated restaurants. While some guests have had mixed experiences with the food quality, overall it provides a decent stay with good services.
We stayed at *Upar* from April 4th to 10th and had a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. Special thanks to *Ms. Usha, **Mr. Balaji, and the **head chef* for going above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring — we felt very well looked after. When we had a minor AC issue in our first room, the staff handled it immediately and moved us to a new room without any hassle. Everyone we interacted with was professional, thoughtful, and always eager to help. A couple of suggestions to make the experience even better: - A bit more variety in the *menu* would be great. - Including *shower caps* in the bathroom amenities would be a nice touch. Overall, a seamless and relaxing stay. Highly recommend Upar for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming place with exceptional service. We’d definitely return!

Overall the stay was good, specially the breakfast buffet. Staff at the kitchen was also very good and warm. Only reason we are giving 1 star less, is because we had to the keep returning and asking for the Press Iron - feel that could have been managed better by the hotel. And also rooms should have mini fridge.
Hussain A — Google review
The worst experience I’ve ever had. No hygiene whatsoever, no hand towels, no facial tissues, basic requirements aren’t there. Spotted a gecko and a cockroach in my room shows how little they care about guests. They only fleece you. Pest control isn’t even a thing here according to the staff’s attitude. Very poor management even though they charge you quite a bit. I’d strongly advise against booking this property.

The rooms are not great, looking at pictures online it looks good but reality is different. I saw a cockroach also under the bed. Cleanliness could have been lot better. Only good thing is the location, it's 10 min walk from the vac center so if you come for visa this might be a great location but overall not good for stay.

A good place for a quick stay. I don't recommend this for a longer duration. The hotel has to focus on the cleanliness. Mattresses are made up of iron wires which is highly uncomfortable and cause you back it this is the time for the hotel to change the mattress to the better ones.

Just had a great stay at UPAR hotel - very conveniently located; with easy availability of auto-rickshaw / cabs. Excellent freshly cooked South India breakfast available - with a different variety every day, starts at 7:30 am. Great welcoming and helpful staff! I had a slight issue with getting hot water consistently, but it didn’t matter for the season I visited. Highly recommend!

"Disappointing Experience Despite Clear Requests for Senior Citizens" I booked a room for my parents based on the strong reputation your brand holds in the industry. During the reservation, I clearly mentioned that my parents are senior citizens and specifically requested a comfortable, well-maintained room suitable for their needs. Unfortunately, their experience did not reflect the quality of service I expected. The room began to show signs of water stagnation during their stay. Despite reporting the issue, there was no timely response. I later found out that maintenance staff only arrived when my parents were about to check out, which completely defeats the purpose of reporting the issue in the first place. I chose your property because I trusted your service standards. Regrettably, this incident has made me reconsider my future bookings with your brand, especially when traveling with family. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work toward improving responsiveness and guest care - especially for elderly guests who require extra attention.

I have stayed here many times before and always had a good stay. However, on this occasion i was put in room 1. This room appears to adjoin the kitchen along two walls and so i had not only invasive smells but lots voices and cooking sounds (including an industrial extractor fan both in the evenings and, from 7am for breakfast. Also, truly bizarre that the shower had a rail for a shower curtain, but no shower curtain, leaving a very wet bathroom. By all means stay here, but ensure that you avoid room 1!

We recently used Hanu Reddy Residences for a family event, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The service was excellent, the staff was warm and accommodating, and all my guests were treated with great care. The food was also very nice and well-appreciated by everyone. A special mention to Abira, the Operations Manager, who coordinated everything so seamlessly with my team. Thanks to her efforts, the entire event went smoothly without a hitch. Truly grateful for the wonderful hospitality and professionalism shown throughout. Highly recommended!

The location and the surroundings are beautiful. The service was great and we were well taken care of. The breakfast spread was small but very good. But they could put in more effort to maintain the rooms. The room we stayed in had a wall still wet from paint or something. The bathroom was clean at the first glance but should be cleaner for a place like this.

From me and my mom, I would like to thank Mam Abira Deb (Operations Manager) for her kind support. (Though we didn’t talk much during our stay, Mam Abira was always warm with her smile, and while checking out she spoke so kindly, which I truly appreciated. Looking forward to having a great conversation during my next stay, Mam!) The hospitality here deserves a full five-star rating! The receptionists were warm and welcoming — special thanks to Sir Koushik, who booked the room for us, and Sir Ajay. All the other receptionists were also so nice to us, though I couldn’t mention their names as I didn’t know them individually but all of them deserves a special mention. The food was great and the entire place was super hygienic and neat. The room service was quick and efficient, and the kitchen staff served with great care. A special mention to Sir Ajay, Sir Ashok, and Sir Kishore for their exceptional service and friendliness. Our stay was truly comfortable and memorable, and I would gladly recommend Hanu reddy Residency to anyone looking for a wonderful experience.

Golden Fruits Business Suites in Chennai is a modest hotel that offers complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi. Situated in a prime shopping area, the hotel provides clean and spacious rooms with comfortable amenities. While the rooms are relatively small, they are well-maintained, contributing to a generally tidy and comfortable atmosphere. The staff members are friendly and helpful, adding warmth to the overall stay. Additionally, the hotel is easily accessible from a nearby metro station and offers delicious breakfast options.
Excellent Stay, Great Location and Value for Money I had one of the best stays at this hotel in Chennai. I stayed for 3 nights and it truly felt like a luxury experience at a reasonable price. The location is a major advantage centrally placed and easily accessible to many parts of the city. The rooms are spacious, the bed linen was clean, and the bathroom was well maintained with proper toiletries provided. They also supply water bottles and there’s a water dispenser (water can) available in the hallway, which is a nice touch. They offer a complimentary breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. However the breakfast closes a bit early at 10 AM so plan accordingly. Car parking is available, which is convenient and the staff were polite and helpful, A special mention to the security personnel and room service staff for their hospitality. Outside food is allowed as well, which is a plus. The only minor inconvenience was that the lift always stopped at the first floor (reception) by default, which was slightly annoying. Also FYI, I misplaced my room key card and had to pay ₹200 for a replacement. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Chennai.

One of the good business suite rooms in Chennai City limits. Not luxury but still affordable for business stays. Walkable to T Nagar zone, walkable from Nandanam metro. I flew into chennai from London, UK. This hotel was extremely cheap, and was to the standard of 4 star hotels around the rest of the world, sometimes better. Very clean, nice and spacious room with fan and air conditioning as well as a fridge and bathroom was really nice too, polite staff and watchman downstairs. Very good location, if you are walking to T nagar shops its max 10 min. or you can pay 100 rupees for an Auto. For the price range this hotel blew my expectations, would definitely stay again.

I have stayed 2 nights here for my office trip and the stay was pleasant. Complementary breakfast was decent. Rooms are cozy and enough utilities. Dilip anna had been very courteous along other staffs. They allow outside foods through Zomato or Swiggy and provide cutlery as well. No arrangements for dinner but many options available outside in T Nagar just within 2 km like Geetham, Murugal Idly. Marina beach is within 5-6 km. Nice decent neighborhood and near to the airport. Thanks!!

S Hotels Chennai offers a variety of rooms and suites to accommodate different guest preferences. The hotel features a lively restaurant and a vibrant bar with DJs, providing diverse dining options. Known for its banquet and event spaces, it is a popular choice for weddings, conferences, and other events. The hotel's proximity to shops, restaurants, and the metro makes it convenient for solo travelers.
I had a pleasant 8-night stay at this hotel and would definitely consider returning. The front office staff were helpful, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. While the housekeeping service was consistent initially, it became slower during the last three days—I had to follow up a couple of times to get my room cleaned. They said the laundry person sent the items late. They did clean my room with a friendly smile. 😃 Thanks to Ms Usha. I made my booking through Agoda. Although my initial room request wasn’t fulfilled on the first day, I was moved to a room with a bigger bed on the second day. It didn’t have a window view, but it was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The location is excellent—easily accessible autos, walking distance to Pondy Bazaar and the Om Namo Narayana temple, several good vegetarian restaurants, and even a handy sundry shop nearby. I had an early morning flight, and the hotel reception kindly arranged a cab for me. He went the extra mile by negotiating the fare with the driver to ensure I got a reasonable and fair price for the ride. As the bell boy was not free, the restaurant waiter help me with my baggages. Truly appreciate all their assistance. ❤️

Not the best hotel experience I have had. The plus are the location of this hotel. It is in T Nagar which is centre to everywhere. Moreover for the cost, this was one of the best options. However, the negative is that the rooms are not that good. The rooms are not silent proof. It was very worse. I was able to hear the next rooms TV sound until 11.45 pm. They had their tv on full blast for some reason. And once it was over, there were people walking in the hallway throughout the entire night. The rooms seriously need some sound proofing. Other than that, nothing was special about this place. The breakfast was mediocre. Could have gone for better options for the price outside the hotel.

Our stay was severely disrupted due to the deafening music from the bar, which continued late into the night and caused intense vibrations in our room. The staff showed complete disregard for our concerns. This made it impossible for our family, including our young child, to sleep. Such excessive noise and poor customer service are unacceptable. We urge the management to implement better soundproofing, stricter noise regulations, and a more responsive reception team to ensure a comfortable experience for future guests.
Ramkumar A — Google review
I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The room was filthy, and worst of all, the bed was infested with bed bugs. My companions and I were bitten multiple times, leaving us with itchy and painful marks. We barely got any sleep because of the discomfort. The toilet was disgusting, there was black mold on the door and at the bottom of the toilet, making it clear that cleanliness is not a priority at this hotel. It was unhygienic and completely unacceptable. When we reported the bed bug issue to the hotel staff, despite showing clear evidence of the bites, they completely denied that the bed had bed bugs. Instead of properly addressing the issue, their “solution” was to swap the bed with another from a different room, which is beyond unacceptable! To make things worse, the manager and receptionist were extremely rude and unhelpful, showing no concern for our situation. The manager dismissed our complaint, saying that in his many years there, they had never experienced bed bugs, yet my entire family was covered in bites! The only saving grace was a kind and understanding female staff, but unfortunately, that did not make up for the horrible experience we had. Avoid this hotel at all costs unless you want to deal with poor hygiene, bed bugs, dirty toilets, and rude staff.

While the rooms are fine, some guests found the washrooms to be very small. However, the hotel staff is friendly and accommodating.
Yuvraaj and Vittal were incredibly helpful during our stay. The room service staff was excellent—always attentive and prompt. The food is vegetarian, but the quality was outstanding. Location-wise, it’s the best place to stay if you have work at the Chennai US Consulate. However, the rooms could be better, especially the washrooms, as we noticed some cockroaches. Overall, it was a great stay!

The Saibaba Hotel, located in the bustling heart of Chennai, offers a comfortable and informal stay for both business travelers and tourists. The warmly furnished rooms provide a cozy retreat, while the hotel's restaurant and bar serve up delicious meals and drinks. Guests can expect excellent service from the friendly staff. Although some guests have noted minor cleanliness issues in the restaurant area, overall feedback highlights the hotel's convenient location, spacious rooms, and good value for money.
The hotel staff is very courteous and kind. The rooms are comfortable. Entire building and ambience is just too relaxing and ideal for stay in Chennai. Location too is a blessing. Only one feedback I have to share is that your food while being excellent in taste is too much in quantity for one serving. Please reduce your full portion to 75% of current portion offering so as to reduce food wastage. Kindly consider.....🙏

Good place to stay for a short time. Plenty of offices all around and very near. I was there for some work and it was quite near to my office. The rooms are very comfortable will all basic needs met and more. The food is quite good and the breakfast buffet is particularly excellent. I had a wonderful experience at Sai Baba Hotel! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and satisfying. The service was equally impressive. The staff was polite, attentive, and quick to respond to our needs. One small suggestion would be to improve the floor mat near the entrance, as it was quite slippery and could be a safety concern. Other than that, everything was excellent. Highly recommend this place for great food and warm hospitality. From malaysia.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Chennai, The Lotus Apartment Hotel on Venkatraman Street is a delightful retreat for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. With a range of cozy rooms and spacious suites—some equipped with kitchenettes—guests can enjoy a home-like atmosphere during their stay. The hotel prides itself on cleanliness, with daily housekeeping ensuring that every corner remains spotless. Guests rave about the complimentary breakfast, which features an array of delicious vegetarian options to kickstart your day.
We stayed here during our 2 weeks trip from Canada and have to say very convenient location. Room was very comfortable, convenient, spacious and maintained clean and hygienic at all times. The in room service restaurant food and the daily breakfast at the breakfast or brunch room is amazing and delicious. So close to my Aunty’s place and also was very accessible to be able to go anywhere too. Highly recommend this place for their service and great quality food and hygiene maintenance.

We stayed for over 3 weeks during Dec 24-Jan 25. The room was very specious and neat and clean. Location is very good as we could easily walk or take an auto/cab without any issue. Complimentary BF was very good with mix of both North and South Indian items. Food in the restaurant was very homely, was not oily and they took care of any special needs on certain during our stay. The entire staff of the hotel were very cordial, whether it is at the reception, house-keeping or the restaurant. Forgot to take pictures.

Excellent location with the best idli buffet. Very wholesome and nutritious with fruits and accessible to pondy bazaar by walk. And also the VFS center near Hyatt Regency.
Suraj — Google review
By far, this is the worst accommodation I ever experienced in my entire trip in Tamil Nadu. We were staying in a suite without a proper 3rd bed but was charged for an extra bed instead. The housekeeping attendant brought in a cheap mattress, normally found in a Lodge and claimed that as a extra bed for an adult guest. After demanding for an explanation, the property manager still insisted that the extra “bed” comes without a bed frame and expected us to literally sleep on the floor. The manager promised us with a single bed room for the extra guest on our next day stay by 12pm but purposely delayed to offer the room until 11.30pm leaving us with no choice but to continue staying staying in the same suite. His unprofessionalism and disgusting behaviour simply demonstrates that he’s a total misfit for his position in this property. He is only suitable to run a Lodge, not a proper hotel. I would not recommend anyone to this accommodation.
Raj R — Google review
Rooms: The AC was noisy like a running motor. The Fridge was having stains to that extent we abhor to keep our items like Icecreams etc., The Hotwater was not working. Above all, our rooms were superior Rooms. Besides, they gave us only one key for both family members. If one family member wants to sleep and other family member is out for a walk, then, there is a severe problem. We needed to haggle with the errand boys to open the door with their master keys. This hotel does not deserve the 3-star status. Won't stay here and won't recommend to friends. Whosover wants to stay here: Their choices. But note these nuanced points, especially on the second key issue.

I had a pleasant office visit in T Nagar, and my company arranged accommodation at this hotel, which is conveniently located near popular shopping areas like Pondy Bazaar and Valluvar Kottam Market. It also offers easy access to transportation options such as buses and Uber. The single-bed room was clean and well-maintained, and the complimentary breakfast featured a great selection of North and South Indian dishes. An affordable and excellent place to stay!.

Hostel Gandhi in Chennai is a hidden gem, perfect for solo travelers on a budget. The atmosphere is welcoming and safe, with both female and mixed dorms available. The hostel offers shared kitchen facilities, daily meals, laundry services, and good air conditioning to combat the Chennai heat. It's conveniently located near public transportation hubs, making it easy to explore the city. The clean and spacious bunk bed accommodations come with well-equipped kitchens, clean restrooms, lockers, and a lounge area.
Extremely safe and spacious, The staff here is the best, and especially Akshay the manager is so helpful and cooperative. Especially appreciate it when you're coming to a new, unknown City and the guidance and safety they provide is priceless. The common rooms have community activities like carrom or cards and the cats are just an added bonus. Had a good long stay here and it has been one of my best experiences. The location is in a very safe residential neighborhood, very convenient as it is at a walkable distance to Chennai Metro so accessibility isn't an issue. Surrounded by good people in the neighborhood.

I stayed at Gandhi Hostel for one day and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very polite and respectful in their communication, which made me feel comfortable from the start. The overall management was excellent — the place was very clean and well-maintained. There was also ample space available for extra work or relaxation, which was a big plus. The food provided was also delicious and well worth the price. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and hygienic stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hostel Gandhi and I must say, it was one of the most comfortable and enjoyable hostel experiences I’ve had. The rooms were clean, well-ventilated, and thoughtfully arranged to ensure both privacy and convenience. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the availability of lockers gave us peace of mind regarding our belongings. The common areas were spacious and perfect for relaxing or socializing with fellow residents. Overall, Hostel Gandhi is a great choice for anyone looking for a safe, clean, and friendly place to stay. I’d highly recommend it to students and working professionals alike.

We had booked a 3 bhk for a night to accommodate guest families. Below is our experience 1. No hot water in any the bathrooms. Guests with kids and old people had to take bath in cold water early morning. However management did take steps to rectify it. 3. No AC in one of the bedrooms Update - Maintenance staff did reach out later, apologised and promised to fix these for future stays. Good that the staff is attentive and are taking steps to continuously improve and taking user feedback and reviews seriously. Increasing the stars for service quality

The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Chennai and just a short walk to Pondy Bazaar. The food was tasty and fresh, though available only through room service, which suited us well. The rates are very reasonable for the convenience and comfort they offer. Overall, we loved the experience and will definitely be coming back on our next Chennai visit! **No Elevator or Lift Service in a 4-Storey Building** I recommend avoiding booking rooms at this hotel for the next 1 to 2 months due to ongoing renovations. The service is currently below expectations, though I hope it will improve once the renovations are complete. The rooms are in poor condition due to the work being done, and there is no elevator in this 4-storey building, so you'll need to climb stairs to access the rooms. If you're traveling with heavy luggage, children, or elderly family members, I suggest considering alternative accommodations. Please carefully evaluate your options before booking. Additionally, the hotel has appointed a receptionist named Anand, whose behavior has led to consistently negative experiences for many guests. If you check the negative reviews, his name is frequently mentioned. It's unclear why management has not addressed this, as his attitude towards guests has remained unchanged despite numerous complaints. In the hospitality industry, someone like Anand should either be properly trained for customer-facing roles or moved to a non-customer-facing position. I hope the management takes the necessary steps to address this issue and improves the guest experience. If you feel this review may be outdated or inaccurate, I recommend contacting the hotel directly to confirm the status of the renovations and whether the elevator is operational before making a reservation.

The property features a palm-dotted courtyard and provides amenities such as breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking. Guests appreciate the efficient service and early check-in option. The staff is hospitable and accommodating, making for a charming boutique stay in Poes garden. While some guests find the breakfast disappointing, others praise the spacious rooms and cleanliness of the place.
Had a great stay at Avenue 11 in Chennai! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful. A special mention to their team for providing us with an umbrella when we needed it—it was a small but thoughtful gesture that made our experience even better. The location was convenient, and the overall service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

Though the rooms service was great but lacked razor for shaving. I did not ask early in the morning as I had to check out early. If they were kept in the bathroom would have been nice. I could not carry one as I did not have check-in bags for the flight I took.

Standard room is hardly 100 sq feet including bathroom. No window in room. You will hear the flush sound of next room. Not worth 5k. Hardly should be 2k. Bf don’t have much option. Overall avoid booking this hotel. Pic shown in good are old pic. Current condition is very poor +++ Below comment is after the feedback from owner as I didn't have option to reply 1> I didn't find where in platform(makemytrip), it's mentioned that room without window, rather it's mentioned 'city view'. So I don't know how from a closed room without window can have city view 2> Room size mentioned 144 sq feet, which is again not correct 3> In your website only, you have mentioned check-in time as 12.00 pm so please share the right info. Yes it's true that you allowed check-in at 10.00 am and this is also true that we didn't spend a hour in whole day because of suffocating room. Used only for sleep and even though return flight being at afternoon, we checked-out just after breakfast as we felt spending time at some mall/restaurant/road is better then spending time at hotel room. And not going on bf option, that's again a different story. So do update with right info like no window, room size, check-in/check-out time and as extra facility *music* in form of flush sound from next room
Dhiraj K — Google review
I had a lovely 2-night stay here. The check-in/check-out process is smooth, and the staff is very helpful. They allowed us to keep our bags before check-in, and after check-out too, when our train was early/delayed. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bathroom too was very spacious and clean. Housekeeping and reception services were also very prompt. The location is fantastic and very accessible. We easily got around using MTC buses and Chennai Metro, although autos and app-based taxis are also easily available. There are also some great restaurants/cafes within walking distance from here. One improvement could be breakfast to start a little earlier than what it does currently. Would definitely go back to this!

Broad Lands is a charming accommodation located in Chennai, just 1.7 km from Marina Beach. The property offers free bikes, private parking, and features a lovely garden and shared lounge. With its vintage charm that has been maintained for over 40 years, the hotel provides great value for money. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior exudes a peaceful and spacious ambiance reminiscent of a bygone era. Conveniently situated 1.
Central location in chennai. You can take their free bicycles to pedal to marina beach. Connected by a decent walk to the blue metro. The building is old (part of the charm), but the rooms were nice. Fresh clean bedding. AC works perfectly. The bathrooms aren't fancy, but fully functional. Nothing smelled bad. The venue is filled with cats and a domestic dog. Staff are helpful in making arrangements. Even a big private room is so pocket-friendly. Makes this a must-stay spot if you're visiting chennai to get a feel of the city. We were traveling mostly for trying different foods, and we really like staying at a place which didn't feel cut off from the city.

Broadlands Hotel has a unique old-world charm and a peaceful atmosphere in the heart of Chennai. The rooms are simple and spacious, and the rooftop views are a nice touch. While the common toilet setup may not be for everyone, it’s kept fairly clean. The bedsheets could be better, but the overall stay is quite comfortable. The caretakers are attentive, though they do expect tips, which some may find unusual. Still, for travelers looking for a budget-friendly and laid-back stay, this place has its own charm!
Vineeth S — Google review
The problem is, we need to be prepared for the stay, unlike any other cozy hotels, this place stands out with the old and scary building. It is a huge mansion built about 150 years old . Big rooms and tiny staircases make this experience awesome and awful. Trust me there are no ghosts 😜. They maintain the building neatly and as much as they can without compromise. This is a real experience to stay in an old mansion if we prefer this place. Normal bath areas, toilets and everything looks old and normal. Don't confuse if you try to reach back to your room once after bathroom. Go straight to reception and walk towards your room. We enjoyed the stay.
Shaji M — Google review
This hotel offers a very pleasant ambience that creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests. While the building itself has a historic charm due to its age, the overall experience can vary depending on the room. Some rooms are impeccably maintained and feature modern furnishings, providing a comfortable and stylish stay. However, some rooms need updates and may not meet the same standards. Overall, it’s a good choice for travellers, especially those who appreciate a blend of vintage character and contemporary comfort.

Horrible experience! I booked for 2 nights (made a mistake!) I checked out at 9pm coz I can't stand the place! The whole place is just not a good place to chill when in Chennai.. 180yrs old Muslim Palace they say The room is filthy you can't even lie down in bed full of bed bags! Cockroach 🪳 , ants and other insects. I got skin itching whole night till I scratched my skin too bad! Bought Cetirizine, Caladryll to heal my itchiness. I should have listened to the other reviews. Well you get what you paid for 😱 They should renovate the place, change beddings, towels they don't even have toilet paper yikes! The whole place is scary too it's like a haunted house. Service is also not good. The uncle guy always on the phone he don't listen to your queries he just ignored me when I asked for hot water. There's this caretaker guy who is lovely I forgot his name I think, start with "J" he is truly the best to be mentioned here.. Well , well, If you are up to a challenge being in a *colonial house" for experience yes this could be your place it gives you a lot of history 😉 Not for me though.. well unforgettable experience for me. Pls pls avoid this place.

Value for money with a rich history. Broadlands was originally known as Le Consulat de Turquie a Madras (the Turkish Consulate in Madras), is a historic building with a rich past. It was once the residence of Haji Mohammed Badsha Sahib, a prominent textile merchant and one of the founders of Indian Bank. The building later became a hotel in1951, known for its Indo-Saracenic architecture and charm, and has served generations of travelers. Room was neat and comfortable. Cleaning can be improved but location is lovely in central Triplicane.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The ambience was neat and clean, and the rooms were well-ventilated and comfortable. The food was really good and freshly prepared. The staff were polite, helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The best part is that the hotel is located very close to the US Consulate, which made our visit extremely convenient. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Excellent Stay Near the US Consulate We had a very pleasant stay at Ratna Residency, Chennai. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The bathrooms were extremely clean and had all the necessary essentials. Service was quick, and we appreciated that they provided free water bottles — something many hotels don’t. Another highlight was how cooperative the staff were. When we mentioned that our train was later in the day, they kindly extended our stay for a few extra hours without any hassle, which we really appreciated. Location-wise, it’s perfect for anyone visiting the US Consulate — very close by, and it’s easy to get autos, Ola, or Uber. Even the local auto drivers know the place, so getting there and back is very convenient. A couple of minor downsides: the Wi-Fi connection was quite weak and barely worked, and while the front desk staff were professional, they could have been a bit warmer or more welcoming. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Ratna Residency, especially for those visiting the US Consulate area. 👍

The experience at the hotel was truly outstanding. The Managers, team, staff members, and manpower were all remarkably well-mannered, polite, gentle, always smiling, and willing to help and support at any given time. As a widely traveled guest, I can confidently say this has been one of the best hospitality services provided. I highly appreciate the entire team—including those maintaining, cleaning, managing, cooking, and servicing the hotel—for their efforts. The service is extraordinary. Furthermore, the rooms are fresh, clean, well-lit, and well-ventilated Thank you 🙏🏻😊

This is an honest review. I opted this hotel twice during my visit to Chennai for Visa process. I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel, both times. The rooms were clean and hygienic, and the morning breakfast was good with just the right variety. It's an ideal hotel for those coming for their U.S. Visa process – only 1.5 km from the OFC (biometrics) and about 700–800 meters from the U.S. Consulate. Super convenient! The reception team and other staff were courteous, especially Mr. Sharath at the front desk – super polite, extremely helpful and was quick to assist with anything I needed throughout my stay. Highly recommend this place for both visa applicants and general travelers visiting Chennai.

From the moment we stepped into 'The Golden Spoon', we were greeted with warmth and efficiency. The ambiance was simply delightful – a perfect blend of cozy and elegant, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that immediately put us at ease. I opted for the Mushroom soup a creamy, decadent masterpiece that was rich in flavor and incredibly satisfying. What truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. Our server, Priscilla Very good hospitality and was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a memorable meal.

Fairly spacious, with basic amenities like , iron, iron board and hair dryer. The rooms were clean and very good staff who often cared to ask whether guests were okay if any feedback was given. We had an issue with stinking washroom. We did complain. They were nice to allot us another room. And they also asked whether we were comfortable after shifting to another room. Location wasn’t too good . Food was delicious and neatly served . Found good varieties and options offered for breakfast at buffet counter. Over all a good stay only thing they need to work on probably the drainage system due to which the washrooms were stinking and it was a constant problem inspite of changing room.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Bathrooms were clean and sparkling. The receptionist was very kind enough to collect our things from Swiggy. Had a pleasant stay. Though the main lift was not working the day we checked in, they fixed it the same day.

I had a very good overall experience at this hotel. The service is excellent, the staff are polite, and the property is well-maintained. Cleanliness is also up to the mark, with daily housekeeping and a wide range of amenities provided, which really add to the comfort. That said, there are a few areas for improvement. The toiletries in the washroom, such as the body wash, shampoo, and especially the shaving kit, could be of better quality. Also, the AC needs servicing as I noticed visible dust inside the vents, which can affect both comfort and hygiene. Despite these minor issues, the stay was pleasant and worth the price. With a little more attention to these details, this hotel can easily offer an even better guest experience.

I recently visited this party hall and was quite impressed with the overall setup. The hall is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place for gatherings and celebrations. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, which adds a nice touch for any event. One highlight is the restrooms located on the 5th floor. They are neat, hygienic, and properly maintained, which shows the management’s effort in keeping up the standards. The cleanliness and attention to detail really make a difference when hosting guests. Overall, this party hall offers a good ambiance, well-kept facilities, and a peaceful environment — perfect for family functions, get-togethers, or any special occasion. ---

It was all great experience in the hotel except the check-in. The receptionist was too slow and gave priority to another big group of people. It took almost an hour for me to get the room. Other than that the service was quite good.

The Central Library Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a modern, five-storey facility with air conditioning and wifi. It offers a wide range of resources including CD-ROMs, online databases, audio-video cassettes, books, e-journals, patents, theses and reports. The library also provides access to famous research journals and a large collection of archives and textbooks for various engineering disciplines. With its serene atmosphere and disciplined environment, it's an ideal place for studying in silence.
The facilities are top level. Internet speed is the best thing of all. Best place in the campus. AC is well functioning but atmosphere is disturbed by many who don't use the library for it's purpose. Since there aren't many communal work places in the campus, library sometimes has to take that load.

Treebo Eco Stay in Nandanam, Chennai offers unassuming yet well-equipped rooms with amenities like breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking. The hotel is praised for its nice rooms and friendly staff. It provides family rooms and is located in a quiet and serene environment surrounded by greenery. Guests can enjoy simple and tasty breakfast at the hotel. The location allows easy access to the metro for airport transfers. Additionally, the hotel offers neat maintenance and a calm atmosphere for a comfortable stay.
The 5 star rating is because of the service, which makes up for the deficiencies in infrastructure. Don't expect any luxury here. But it serves the purpose of an AC room with clean toilets and basic breakfast, at a price under Rs 1500 if you book sufficiently in advance.
Kailas S — Google review
Decent place to stay in busy chennai. I booked this place to stay for the night before and exam. It's not located on the ground floor. The service was decent though i had to ask for a towel. There was a lot dust in the room, probably because it was not used over a long time. The view from the room was excellent and I could wake up early in the morning and study peacefully. Not a noisy place at all. Washrooms were clean.

Not at all a right place to stay especially for women and family.Staff will get drunk and make noises in the middle of the night. Its almost 2am and still staff are creating unnecessary noises and started knocking doors. They are smoking cigarettes and can't tolerate the cigarette smell as well. Very much waste of money

Not the right place to stay! Lot of mosquitoes which will not allow you to sleep peacefully. The Pillow covers and bed sheets are not washed and you get a had smell out of it. Full of dust of table and sofa which you can't go next to it. Water is fully polluted and you can't take a bath if you the colour of the water. Toiletries as to requested, They won't keep it for guests. No intercom to contact reception for any requirements. These are problems which I have faced by staying 2 days in the same hotel.

It was nice and homely. The location is very quiet and serene with greenery all around. Really environment friendly. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Room was clean but towels need to be changed with new ones. Room was big and spacious. It was good that toilet is outside. Very good for short stay. Enjoyed the stay. Pl keep it up

Good value rooms and friendly staff make this small hotel a good place to stay. It is reasonably clean and the bed is comfortable. Room has an air-conditioner, but I preferred to use the ceiling fan during my December-January stay. The attached bathroom has a geyser for continuous hot shower (or bucket bath). A small table provides a work area. Wi-fi normally works well. A hot-water kettle is available on request. You can get purified water from a dispenser machine. A simple South Indian breakfast is included most mornings. Guests can use a clothes-washing machine. There's an elevator. Location is relatively quiet, though street dogs may serenade at times during the night. Be sure staff register you if you're a foreigner! Immigration stopped me when I was leaving India because they had no record of my accommodations. A big delay and a form I had to fill out.

I booked this place for my in-laws. If there is a rating below 1 that is what I would give to this place. The room lacked the basic needs of a functional space 1. The door latch was broken. It could not be locked 2. Poor or no proper ventilation - Not sure if there were windows 3. Unhygienic to the core (full of mosquitoes) Apparently there was only one hotel attendant who had to be at the reception and clean the room and help with the guests. My in-laws asked for a better room with at least proper doors so that they can feel safe. Even that was not provided on the first day. We had to follow up a number of times to get another room. The reservation was made with breakfast included. But the breakfast was not served in the morning. They had to wait till 10 AM (i.e. just 1 hour before checkout) or just eat from outside. The staff was not helpful and not courteous at all. Overall I would recommend against this place. I am certain that this place will not even pass the basic standards of running a hotel. I should also mention that this is the second time we are having an unpleasant experience with Treebo hotels Very Disappointed!

Am aware of Budget hotel, but this is not even worth for that budget price. Check my video uploaded. AC was not having chill the whole night, after 20mins the AC created huge noise throughout the night and water started dropping the full time and hence our room was full of water and slippery. Not at all worth. They are giving water bottle filled with RO water instead of sealed bottle. If you ask then they are providing new sealed one. Looks at the Towel picture which again they provided after asking. This is the first hotel I see where the shower gel is mixed with water and kept and it was smelly. 🤮

This is a service apartment and not a hotel. It's location is one of its main selling point. Rooms are quite spacious and clean. They look similar to their posted pictures. Washrooms are also clean. Staff is good but has a language barrier when interacting with people from North but still manageable. They had few issues with AC not working in one room. And flush pressure not up-to the mark which they thankfully acknowledged and gave discount too. Overall I recommend staying here.

I usually don't post review much, When I'm vacating I had train 9.00pm, i asked the manager to come at 7.30 pm to get the deposit back to avoid last minute hassle he was very furious, when have to vacate as soon as we get the deposit, why ?? Paying 11 thousand for a pg premium price that the market staying a bit is what itches them??. as a individual One of the very worst experiences I had in this pg see cost is very high 11k for 3 sharing, no food but that isn't an issue. Kitchen is at all the utensils are peeled no worth of usage. At this price you get pgs with food. Don't recommend this one. Pg is not as shown in the pictures.

I stayed here for 3 Months. This PG is Very Good For people who are looking neat and Good Pg in and around Egmore. This Pg has security, Fridge, Tv, Washing Machine, Parking. But the Biggest problem is U wont Get Food and they charge 12,000 per month. But if u are looking to stay for a short period of time. Then it's truely a Good option. Even feom Deposit they charged only for electricity bill and that too with exact Unit. Not extra. THE ONLY BIG PROBLEM IS FOOD AND THEIR RENT PRICE.

Inside the caves, there's an intriguing natural window in the rock where you can see what are believed to be handprints left by St. Thomas during his escape.
When I visited this place for the first time I had the positive view of life. The second time I took Iniya and found her being encountered by the Holy Spirit.
